The Wat Koh Wanararm is a serene and peaceful Buddhist temple located in Langkawi. It features several stupas and a gigantic statue of Guan Yin, all crafted from limestone. The temple boasts stunning views, especially during sunset when the area becomes almost dark. The only living creatures you'll encounter are the dogs that roam around as they're its sole guests. This Siamese-inspired temple provides an ideal place for anyone seeking tranquillity amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.

We did a quick stop in this temple. I really liked the environment near the forest and a small mountain. Beautiful boudha in the rock. I was a bit sad because the main temple was in work, and we didn't go inside. There is a lot of dogs and the place is peaceful.

Poorly maintained, had to deal with many dogs. Timing not updated properly online. From neighborhood, got to know that this temple gets closed by 5pm.

Beautiful. I came in and was able to do incense and pray at the statues, get blessing from the monk, (they speak English Chinese, Malay, and Thai here), and sit and meditate for about an hour. Do be aware that there are many dogs. Sometimes they will bark aggressively which makes it hard to walk around the grounds to see it all, but the main temple is clear of them. I can't wait until the new giant prayer hall is finished and opens

There are actually 2 Buddhist temples about 1km apart along the same white cliff face. This one is more developed and the other is more monastery with an underground meditation cave. Both are well worth a visit for anyone interested in temples and religions of SE Asia.

Idaman Suri roughly translates into ‘Queen’s dream’. A medium size retailer for kitchenware, homeware, home deco and some packaged snacks (mostly savories).
This retailer has been around for nearly 40 years, and grown over the years. A Langkawi shopping staple. But quality of their products has dropped over the years, with mostly made-in-China items on sale nowadays.
Juzar Mustan — Google review
Sad to see how gloomy this place has become. We were the only one there.. in fact, we went to get original Corelle but found mostly Idaman Suri’s brand instead. Not sure if all their imported goods are original (or are they selling defects?).
Yet we could’ve spent more than just a single set of Corelle but what put us off was the staffs — they look like they’re forced to work. Long bitter face, not a single smile! We felt unwanted. Not to mention how lazy they were when asked for assistance. Especially the one covering corner for Corelle (right side) on 24/9/23. Well, we were offended by her constant sigh and bitter face. Then we realised, the whole store, that’s like a theme for the staffs! Not sure what is happening but they gotta do something bout it.
We left as quickly as we could having such devastating experience.

Heaven on earth for a woman! I like this place so much! Every time I visit Langkawi this is the must-go place in my wish list. The selection of kitchenware is amazingly colorful yet beautiful. Stunning but at affordable prices. The Tefal, Corelle offers a variety of designs. Recommended for a kitchenware's lover.

All mosques are special to Muslim.
But in general there are some difference, I've found something special this mosque like abulation area is very clean, I 've found little library beside mosque with small shop.
Parking area is also good.
Any time you can do your prayer.

This masjid have got a great facilities for travellers, as it's proximity with the ferry terminal. But it's not really friendly for musafir outside prayer time, because it's locked. The main hall and shower room is locked. I once got stranded as I can't get a ferry ticket, first thing in my thought was of course to stay within the Masjid compound. But everything is locked. I ended up sleeping in the bench at the park nearby.Maybe their reason being theft cases, but to lock it completely is not a solution.

Langkawi Parade is a bustling mall that features fashion, home goods and specialty stores. Additionally, it offers a cinema, market and restaurants. The mall includes popular establishments such as Maybank, Starbucks, 7E and McD located at the front. Though some areas of the mall are in need of maintenance with one escalator not functioning properly and a messy food court. However, visitors can find various house grocery items to suit their daily needs along with ample parking space available.
Great shopping place, especially chocolate. And having a nice lunch, like Indonesian Chicken Soto, Bakso, etc. Delicious.

Dishonest cashier at the counter!! I went to Teow Soon Huat Duty Free to buy a luggage bag. Cash paid to the cashier and counted but she gave me short change. She also entered the wrong amount at the till so that the receipt printed will show the short change correctly. This is an intention to deceive. Tourist should beware of the scam!

Langkawi Parade is one of the best malls in Langkawi. It has the most essential and duty-free shops on the premises. Right from clothing, jewellery, duty-free watches and supermarkets, it has it all. Guardian is one of the best shops for medicines, hair care, nail care, body care and skincare products. Teow Soon Huat is a huge 3-level duty-free shop inside the Langkawi parade. It offers all the things everyday use to all the things special items like men's and women's clothing, items for infant to adult use, toys, gardening, plastic flowers and pots, duty-free liquor and chocolates. Ladies bags, luggage bags, shoes for children, men and women. It also has a supermarket at the underground level where you can buy all the duty-free groceries. The duty-free watches shop has some of the best items from the international market, check the videos I posted, to get an idea. There is a cinema hall, food court and other small shops for clothing g, shoes bags and jewellery. A gold jewellery shop, artificial jewellery shops fast food restaurant and other good cafes inside the mall.

Lovely Temple, they welcome visitors and if you enjoy this beautiful building I think it's only fair to give the RM3 donation requested. Work is going on currently and your donation will help keep this building looking good.
I volunteered at Wooff with my daughter for 4 days and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. It’s amazing how much Jeff does for the animals he rescues. He has given his personal life up to care for 140 dogs and several cats. He survives on donations and his own pocket to ensure the animals are cared for, many needing medical care. It’ was fantastic seeing how he remembered which dog needed what and many did need medication on a daily basis.
The daily chores to look after so many animals is extensive and it was a great to be able to help Jeff out, even if only for a few days. Thank you Jeff for the kindness you showed to us and for making our stay In Langkawi memorable.

Had the most amazing time here with Jeff and all his lovely dogs. Definitely come visit when in Langkawi, it’s so worth it! Jeff is honestly one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met, the love he has for these dogs is so beautiful to see and he deserves the world! The dogs are all so happy and cared for here, and it was so much fun to spend time with them and wash them🥹 Will definitely come back when I’m in Malaysia again 🫶

The most amazing dog sanctuary/rehab for doggies. Jeff is genuinely the most incredible person I have met ever met and the work he does for these dogs is mind blowing. He has given his life to rescue, protect and rehabilitate these dogs to give them a second chance and a life full of love and safety, which is not guaranteed on this island. The dogs are obsessed with Jeff even the most timid of the dogs will rush over to him the minute they see him. This is so much more than just a shelter and we are blown away at how truly amazing it is.

Best experience meeting Jeff and the dogs he works so hard to home and rehabilitate. He takes in sick and hurt dogs and gives them a place to live and enjoy. all the dogs are under control and are very happy. He welcomed us with open arms and we stayed for about 6 hours! He has a viewing area if you’re hesitant and also a big selection of second hand books for purchase all money goes towards the dogs! 10/10 experience. Thank you Jeff

Today, my boyfriend and I visited WOOFF and all of the wonderful dogs Jeffery is taking care of. This was a wonderful experience; it’s amazing to see how Jeffery provides a life for Langkawi’s dogs where they are well fed, healthy and safe. Jeffery took a lot of time for us to tell his story and we got a lot of kisses from all the friendly dogs. I would definitely recommend visiting, volunteering and/or donating to WOOFF!
Isabel van Walree — Google review
Please do not listen to the bad review on here, if you don’t enter this sanctuary, you cannot comment on the dogs welfare!!!
With approx 140 dogs you will hear a lot of barking and there is one dog that always does a yelp/bark when she is playing, and it sounds like she is crying, but she is just playing! There is no abuse from the owner, he is the kindest man I’ve met.
Jeff does an amazing job to home these sick, Injured or abused animals. Please visit and you will see exactly the miracles he does everyday. I was blown away by this place and left with tears in my eyes. We are extending our stay just for this. The volunteer work is very immersive as well, you get to experience a day in the life of Jeff! It isn’t just the glitz and glamour of playing with rescued puppy’s, it’s the real work that’s put in.
If you go to Langkawi please visit this place. Donate what you can (or monthly donations) and spend at least one day volunteering, all the dogs are lovely and deserve all the love you’ve got to give

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jeff and volunteering for a day at WOOFF Animal Shelter, Langkawi. Jeff is a gem of a human who has dedicated his life to looking after the dogs and cats of the island. At the time I visited, he was feeding, bathing and cleaning up after 145 dogs, as well as giving hydrotherapy and dry therapy sessions to injured dogs to help them to be able to walk again.
Our goal for the day was to construct some more shade for the dogs and set up a UV tarp by climbing trees in the dogs’ play area and tying off the corners with rope. Of course there was plenty of time to play with the dogs as well, with Jeff sharing all the individual dogs’ stories and pointing out the trouble makers of each group.
The best part of the day though was sharing in what is obviously a life passion for Jeff. His dedication and sacrifice to saving animal lives is inspiring and left me with a newfound appreciation of all those who make the world a better place one wagging tail at a time. It was great having a beer and a yarn with him and if you’re ever in Langkawi, I highly recommend checking WOOFF out and lending a hand.
Rory Evans — Google review
I don't know what the bad review is on about! You can only share your opinion if you enter the sanctuary. If you were that concered about the dogs wellfare you should ring the bell and enter but cleary they have no care towards dogs at all and rather make their own carless opinion and detrimise all the 17 years of hard work Jeff has put into this. Also, if you have dogs you will understand that dogs yelp (there is over 140 dogs here run by one man! You need to bang to stop them from hurting each other) These dogs are treated with the highest repect and care. The high metal walls are protection for the dogs! You can't expect stray dogs to stay protected with open fences!! This is not safe for anyone and completely irresponsible some of these dogs and jump 7ft fence easily! The premises is enormous and Jeff is a hero and saviour to these dogs that without his help would have all ended up dead on the streets!
Please do your research before making assumptions.
I have extended my stay here as there is so much to do for just one person. I really do think that if you are looking to help with the situation in Malaysia for the mistreatment of dogs you MUST visit WOOFF as this is a huge insight into what these dogs have had to deal with in there lives before coming to this beautiful sanctuary full of love and care.
Only go by the reviews from people who have ACTUALLY been here as only they will understand what's this place is really like.

Hands down one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and it's purely down to the compassion shown to these amazing creatures. Worthy of massive support.

I was lucky enough to have met Jeff and visited the sanctuary when I first got to Langkawi and instantly I was taken back by how much knowledge and care Jeff has for these animals. I visited several days in a row and couldn’t get enough, each dog has there own special story since being rescued and cared for by Jeff and he can recite every single one and every single name out of about 150+ dogs! Not forgetting the cats and kittens Ofcourse.
Jeff is an amazing man who dedicates his life to his work and these animals and if you get a chance to visit for even an afternoon please do, I can assure you that you will leave feeling uplifted Jeff and his furry family 🐶

They offer special price for the local Langkawi residents but not on public holiday and school holidays. If you have times, take the sunset tour.
We visited here last 2 weeks. It was fabulous experience. Although it rains before the sunset, the view still fabulous.
They served some complimentary food like nasi lemak, kuih, some chickadees and drinks.
From 18th floor, you can see the Kuah town. When the sunset is here, the friendly staff brought us to 33th floor which have transparent glass floor.

I only have chance to go up to the floor where zus coffee and starbucks are but I haven't had a chance to go to the upper floor yet, but the view from the 1st floor are already magnificent and for sure the upper floor will have more magnificent and wider view.

You can buy the tickets directly at the entrance, the price for the tourists is the most expensive (obviously), and can be a little higher if you go during the sunset starting from 5:30 PM. You get to stay at the sky lounge at level 18 with light snacks in the very nice seating area. The view is very nice if you'd like some pictures. My visit to Maha Tower in Langkawi was nothing short of spectacular! One of the most remarkable aspects of this attraction is that there’s no entry fee, making it accessible to all visitors. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer majesty of the tallest tower in Langkawi.
Venturing to Maha Tower in the evening was a stroke of brilliance. As the sun began its descent, the tower seemed to come alive, illuminated against the twilight sky. The sight was truly awe-inspiring, and I couldn’t help but marvel at its magnificence.
Even after sunset, Maha Tower retained its allure. The evening ambiance added an extra layer of charm to the experience, with the tower’s lights casting a soft glow that added to its allure. It was a magical sight to behold and made for a memorable visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend Maha Tower to every tourist visiting Langkawi. Whether you’re exploring during the day or venturing out after sunset, the tower offers an unparalleled experience that showcases the beauty of this tropical paradise. Don’t miss the chance to witness the breathtaking views and immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Maha Tower. It’s a must-visit attraction that promises to leave you in awe.

It is currently open in 2022.
I go here morning and evening to take a pictures.. you can go inside just need to pay around 90-100rm i forget exact pay, those who have many budget you can go inside but the height of this tower is not same as kl tower, its a small for me, not worth it for me and the price is different if your entry time is 6pm its a sunset view.
Recommended to go here it because you can relax here you can go 2nd floor outside free.
Evening has better to go you can eat and relax and the tower light changes color at night but u cant see the sea side view
In the morning some people do jogging and the seaside view is very nice but later it becomes hot weather and the tower is nothing special in the morning view.
