Phu Quoc Gallery of Contemporary Art (GOCA) offers a unique experience where visitors can appreciate abstract and contemporary art while sipping on exquisite cocktails. The gallery is beautifully integrated with a bar, creating a harmonious atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, providing guidance through the art collection. Guests can also indulge in artisan cocktails and Italian ice cream at this remarkable venue, making it an ideal spot to spend a few hours immersed in art and enjoying delightful drinks.
I stopped by GOCA with the intention of just having a drink and browsing the art, but I enjoyed it so much I ended up staying a few hours and having several cocktails. Both their signature drinks and classic cocktails are hands down the best I had in Phu Quoc. The staff is very well trained in bartending and lots of fun to talk to.
Really wish we had something similar in Saigon!

Great atmosphere, architecture and drinks, its situated in harmony with a contemporary art gallery. You can enjoy fine abstract/contemporary art made by a creative artist who gives a lot of attention to detail, just before or after you drink an amazing cocktail. The staff there are really nice, they guided us through the gallery. You'll be amazed with the infrastructure, art and the cocktails. We tried the ice cream and loved it, you could really taste the intense flavour. We went there almost everyday and had a great time. My favourite drinks were the mango and passionfruit smoothie and almost all the cocktails.
Phu Quoc Countryside Farm offers an excellent and memorable experience for visitors. The warm welcome with a banana shake and pepper tasting sets the tone for a relaxed 1.5-hour tour of the pepper farm, fruit trees, and plants. Guests can enjoy refreshments and even purchase products like pepper packs and bamboo straws. The farm provides private classes with attentive service, showcasing their deep-rooted family history in farming.
One of our best discovery.
Farmer anh Trường super nice. Explain us about his Hà Tiên pepper which is local to the land and soil in Phú Quốc. After give us try his pepper tea. So good that we call for a second cup.
- my GF from columbia and I was on our way to National Park. See his sign. Go in. Really pleasant discovery. We bought peppers as gift for our friends and relatives.
Thank you!

Spent a fantastic afternoon visiting the farm and then learning how to cook some Vietnamese dishes. We made fresh and deep-fried spring rolls, Vietnamese filled pancakes, and banana and coconut pancakes and will definitely try to recreate these at home. All dietary needs were accommodated and the instructors were excellent hosts. Would highly recommend!

Worth a visit! Great atmosphere, no crowds - the farm only does private (2-3 ppl) tours. Very friendly staff, speak good English. Learning about pepper farming and seeing how exotic fruits grow is really interesting. Price (69k/person) includes a tour, tasting of local products and freshly made juice - delicious. They also have friendly dogs and some birds on the farm. Nice spot to take a break from the hustle of the towns, highly recommend.

We had an amazing day. We had a tour through the lush gardens. We picked some pepper and fruits from the garden which we later used for cooking. Truong and Linh were great hosts who were showing us how to cook 4 meals which we could choose. The pepper tea is a special treat which I have only discovered at that tranquil and beautiful place so far. Thanks for that great experience.

We’ve stopped for the farm tour and it was definitely one of our favorite memories from our three week Vietnam roundtrip! One drink (awesome options!) and a tasting of different pepper types is included, as well as a tour across the farm with a very knowledgeable, good English-speaking tour guide.
Overall very authentic and laid-back, would definitely go back here!

My family visited the farm on April 15. The guide was very kind and the drinks and food were very delicious. It's so delicious to dip green mango in pepper salt. The farm was very beautiful and it was nice to see the plants of Vietnam. Thank you for the guide, Lion.

The farm is great, they plant a lot of different vegetables. We tasted three types of peppers and the pepper salt was excellent. The tour is interesting, and the guides friendly (one of the guide even spoke french to us). The food is also good. I you want to visit a pepper farm, go to this one. Their local beer is delicious.

An absolutely incredible experience. Travelling in the rainy season meant I had a private class and was well looked after. From being picked up at my hotel (extra cost) to the cooking lesson, to the tour and constant refreshments, I was well looked after.
The farm has been in their family for generations and you can tell how much they love it.
So much of what I saw on the tour was cooked with.
If you do go, I’d highly recommend wearing long trousers and long sleeves to avoid being bitten by mosquitos.
An absolute must see if you’re coming to Phu Quoc!

Excellent experience. Wife and I went and wasn’t sure what to expect but by the time we left we both agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip.
If you’re on the fence, just go and do it. We were warmly welcomed with a banana shake and pepper tasting to start, and then a tour of the pepper farm and very good explanations of the various fruit trees, peppers, plants, etc.
Start to finish was about 1.5 relaxed hours including hanging out having a beer after.
We bought some pepper packs and a set of bamboo straws!
Tip: if you have a scooter and it’s a nice day and you are decent at riding, the road between the pepper farm to Ganh Dao is worth riding. And the town of Ganh Dao is pretty cool for some great ocean side pics with all the boats.
It is a backroad though with some pebbles and packed dirt, but totally doable with a scooter. If you’re not an experienced rider or the weather is iffy, take the main highway (DT973 on Google maps).

Really amazing organic farm and restaurant. You can get a tour around the farm to see the pepper plants and all the different vegetables and herbs they grow there. The family here is super nice and the vegan food we ate at the small restaurant was really good. Can’t recommend this enough if you’re doing a motorcycle trip around the island!

It is a very good opportunity to immerse yourself in true island life for a while. The farm is run with a lot of love, you get a very good insight into some types of fruit and vegetables including the pepper. The quality of the food is also excellent and it tastes great! You quickly notice that everyone lives and works here with passion and enthusiasm. Thanks :)

Great family owned farm. They give tours in English, as well as a tasting and drink for 69k VND. We got to see lots of pepper trees, the drying process for peppercorns, plus tons of other plants they grow. We also tried some of the local beer they brew. Highly recommend a visit!

This was BY FAR me and my family’s favorite experience in Phu Quoc and one of our favorites during our time in Vietnam! We did the tour of the farm, only $3 and worth it! Our tour guide Kien spoke both English and Vietnamese. He was very friendly and helpful. Jenny, the owner was also very kind and shared about the different peppers that were tasty! Would 100% recommend and will be returning next time we visit.

Review of farm tour and cooking at Jenny Pham’s Pepper Farm (no relation)
Tour: great, very interesting learning where our ground peppers come from and seeing other tropical fruit plants (like did you know passion fruit is encouraged to grow up onto a canopy so the fruit can hang down?).
Cooking: learned how to elevate the making of Bánh xèo, Gỏi cuốn goi and Thịt heo kho with the husband of the owner as our instructor. I knew how to make it before but in didn’t realize it could be so much better.
The food made was excellent. It might not be a secret but I won’t share what I’ve learned here! Try it for yourself!
Vinpearl Safari Phú Quốc is a conservation park that boasts a wide range of rare indigenous and exotic animal species. Despite the general skepticism towards zoos, this establishment stands out as it presents itself as eco-friendly, tidy and puts the animals' welfare first. The highlight of the park is the Safari Tour which leaves visitors with an exciting "Jurassic Park" vibe. While located far away from the central area, it is still deemed worth visiting especially for families with children.
I am always a bit leery of zoos in general but this zoo really caught my family by surprise. The animals are well taken care of, have plenty of room to roam, and for one of the first times in my life, I saw animals playing in a zoo! They were so happy! There were several things to do to pique a child's interest at Vinpearl Safari. When you first arrive you walk right into a children's zoo. There, my daughter was able to pet and feed goats. The staff gave children blades of grass to feed the goats and my daughter had the best time. She could have stayed there all day!
There are two parts of the zoo: the walking zoo and the safari zoo. The walking zoo on a cooler day (which luckily was on the day we visited) is very easy to walk. They do have VIP golf carts that can take you from exhibit to exhibit. We found the golf carts quite annoying since we were walking. We had to constantly dodge the carts. It would benefit the zoo to make separate pathways for pedestrians to traverse the zoo safely.
One of the highlights of our day was the lemur exhibit. The lemurs roam free and occasionally jump on guests, which luckily happened to my 6 year old daughter. She was so ecstatic and will likely always remember it!!!
For a small fee for food, children can also feed giraffes and elephants. This was another highlight of my daughter's day.
The safari portion of the zoo was wonderful. Driven in an air conditioned bus, guests get to see many animals like: lions, tigers, bears (oh, my!) and many others like zebras, antelope, giraffes, etc. It was incredible to see the animals up close and with so much room to roam.
I highly recommend visiting Vinpearl Safari if you are on the island with children. It was a wonderful day!

Suitable for family with kids. They have so many kinds of wild animals. But the entrance way should have more shade in the shining day.
You should prepare wide-brimmed hat(can buy with two stores at the gate).
The employee is very kind and helpful. The bus tour guide is very funny and knowledgeable.
You and your kids can feed the giraffe at giraffe restaurant(they only serve the fast-food and accept cash only).

I enjoyed the zoo. Lots of animals. Regular toilet facilities. Lots of food and drink facilities. Park staff very friendly. Some did speak English was was great for me. The bird show was wonderful. I guess it's more of an experience to take your family to, but as a solo traveller, I did enjoy it. Spent around 2.5hrs there.

Lovely place to visit. Safari bus was good. The giraffe enclosure was the best, just loved watching these beautiful animals from the coffee lounge.
Wendy Jones — Google review
I was suspicious about coming here because I'm not overly keen on zoos but this safari park is excellent. There is a lot of space for a wide variety of animals and they've resisted the urge to pack in too many.
The safari experience on the bus was fun, if a little quick. There's a lot to see and do but if I have one criticism, it's that the signage is very poor. A few times my wife and I got lost trying to find something! Be warned as well, without the bus ticket, there's a lot of walking and we considered over 1m was too expensive.
James Wallace — Google review
Great experience for the family. We all loved it. The directional info and the venue map was extremely useful. There are buggies to take customers throughout the park but you can also walk peacefully and enjoy yourself. Surprising number of wild animals and very glad to see that they had a sanctuary for rhinos here. We attempted to feed the giraffe but it was pass her feeding time. We still managed to have plenty of fun with the lemurs. The way they cage in the wild animals gave us Jurassic park vibe. Worth it. Highly recommend this experience for the full family. Make a day out of it and watch the shows and also have Lunch at any of the restaurants.

Normally we avoid zoos. Buy this one is an amazing place, no cages, animals live in big spacious territories, and people drive through their homes in the bus. There is a bird show, a safari, and a zoo to walk around. Mind that the zoo closes at 4 pm, so it's wiser to start in the morning and dedicate the whole day to this place. The ticket can include the voucher to eat. Many toilets, several restaurants, food ciosks, all amenities. Very spacious and capturing. We loved it. Highly recommend to visit.

it was not that impressed and exciting compare to the Taman Safari in Indonesia.
The safari bus passed by the animals that quickly, therefore can not enjoy fully watching them.
In addition, couldnt observe them that closer because each cages are too far from the bus.
quite overrated place than it is known.

This is the best Zoo ever. It’s not even a zoo but huge space with so many animals you really need minimum 4 hours to see it all. So many amazing experience very well organised clean and animals look well looked after. Many stops for drink and shade but expect it to be hot so come early. Don’t buy extra special ticket normal entry is enough. I loved all of this and really highly recommended with children. My son is 6.

Went with a 4 and 6 year old. Easily traversable with a stroller. Plenty of animals, good amount of greenery and nice enclosures. Most rhinos I've ever seen at a conservation area. Pretty cool. The included meals vouchers will feed you easily. Worth it

I usually don't support Zoos for rather obvious reasons BUT these guys nailed it. Very green, very clean and animals have space and it truly seems as if these people actually care about their animals.
The Safari Tour was rather amazing too, bit of a Jurassic Park feel. Do it if you are there.
Great place for families / kids.
Yes, it is located far away from center but it is worth your travel.
👉@Management: If you stand a chance, give the Leopards a slightly bigger cage and a tree to climb. It is super important for Leopards to climb trees and observe their close environment from above. Just, adjust the cage (ceiling) and place 2 tall trees in there! They will thank you for it.

The vin safari is a great place to spend your day! I suggest to take the full day if you want to explore all the animals and also feed the animals. Vin safari is a unique experience like none other which you should do. There is giraffe feeding which is very cheap compared to other countries. The facilities and the staff are Well fed and taken care of.

We were pleasantly surprised to see what has been done here. The animals have plenty of room, the ones in the zoo are fed regularly out in the open, so we were able to see all the animals. The Safari was great, also happy that it was one fee to do the zoo and ride the bus through the safari. Lots of baby animals, so it seems like the animals are thriving here. Also you must go to the Giraffe Restaurant, you get d150,000 off for each entry ticket you purchase, lunch is basically free. Also you can feed the Giraffes from the restaurant, which is kind of weird since you are eating there too, but there is hand washing stations through the restaurant, and you can buy cups of carrots to feed the giraffes for d30,000. Had a great time, worth checking out and supporting the conservation they are trying to achieve.

I love Safari, many rare species of animals from Africa, Asia and Vietnam are well taken care of here. It is really interesting to see their life and understand their habitat in the morning of half day. We took 650,000 VND per person and 100,000 for the zoo tram ticket. I think it is suitable for animal food
Dragon R — Google review
Kept very clean, animals appear to be well taken care of. Staff are kind and approachable and many speak english. It's a good idea to get the ticket with armband for the shuttle that goes around every few minutes if the weather is very hot, otherwise walking around might be uncomfortably hot.
The giraffe restaurant was my favourite part, to enjoy watching those beautiful creatures while I ate lunch was a real treat. My toddler loved seeing all the animals and getting to interact with them. My favourite part is that unlike other Vietnamese parks and attractions there was no noise blaring from speakers and nothing cheesy built simply for photo-ops, it is quiet and authentic.
The safari bus was very cool and there were wayyyy more rhinos and zebras than I initially thought, so cool.
Motorbike parking was free which was also great.

The animals in the safari are healthy and active. The best time to visit is in the morning. There are free buses to take visitors to enter the safari area. The best part is you can eat lunch with many lovely giraffes.
Kokthye Lim — Google review
We went at about 9:30 am, which I recommend as it can get quite hot. My partner wanted to feed the giraffes so that's the first thing we did. Afyer which we wandered in the direction of the safari. I should also add that the gentlemen at the front recommended we head to safari first as it will hit rush hour by 10:30/11am. However, the queue moved fast and we didn't feel like we waited at all. The safari lasted about 23 minutes and I enjoyed it. You stop off in different section via the safari bus and we saw a multitude of animals up close. The park itself is lovely and well maintained. As a south african myself I will add this is not a safari in the proper sense but rather an attempt to recreate the experience on a smaller scale. We spent about 4 hours THERE and as someone who's sceptical about "zoos" I have to say that the animals are the park's first priority and I'm happy so many rescues found a home. My only complaint was that the chameleons were terrible, I spotted them IMMEDIATLY 😂

We really enjoyed this Safari and the giraffe restaurant. Kids enjoyed the visit as well. Very good value when bought with 2 day combo ticket with Vinwonders
Thomas Fletcher — Google review
There was kids and people feeding the goats with chips and touching the lemurs. I don’t know if you are allowed but for an animal that didn’t choose to be there at least leave them alone
I decided to go because i thought since Vinpearl is a big company it will take care better to the animals (which they do for most of the part like the rhinos and giraffes look really healthy) but some animals they just look stressed and unhappy.
VINPEARL PLEASE let people know how to treat animals, educate us and don’t let kids just feed whatever to the animals

We had a good time here.
Place are clean and animals were taking care of. It will need a lot of time to fully see everything.
Some activities in the open zoo has like entry fees. Giraffe encounter 30k vnd. There is an electric car for VIP tours around the open zoo for 100k vnd, and free bus tour to the safari. Museums are free.
Lots of restaurants and drinks machine inside the area. Plenty of WC as well.
Definitely wear comfy clothing and drink lotsa water during the tour.
Enjoy.

Place is neat and clean. Many healthy and active animals in the safari. Zoo is also very good. They have zoo tram to roam about which is charged extra.
However, safari bus is free and they take u for half an hour tour and show all animals... while the audio plays in the bus describing those.

I’ve spent almost 4hrs there, and I’d say it’s not enough. The staff is pretty dedicated and friendly. They really take care about those animals. Habitat areas area quite big. Animals don’t look exhausted or aggressive. Giraffes’, Indian elephants’ and lemurs’ feeding sessions is an unforgettable and amazing joy. An adult ticket price is around $30 if you choose only the safari without VinWorld. A useful tip is to take from home a kilo of baby bananas to share with those creators) and lemurs adore fresh corn)

Beautiful beach and amazing sunset but full of trash like many beaches in Vietnam unfortunately. Accessible by searching for the “family inn” on google map, go straight by it (the owner will tell you it’s not a great time to go and there are scorpions but it’s not true 😂) and then a little bit further there is a rocky path on the left that will lead you to the beach. Doable with a motorbike but be careful.

Very touristic beach, full of Russians and Chinese, but taking this fact into account I think thru did their best to keep this beach clean and ordered. Sea also very clean. Nice long city beach. It has busy parts which is more central and quiet parts on each side. There are public bathrooms around. Plenty of sunbeds at 50.000 per person. There are plenty of restaurants too. You get a lot of people selling stuff on the beach but unlike in some other countries after you tell them NO twice they will leave you alone. It is a bit dirty on the beach in some places. It is the rubbish that was left by tourist and not from the city. And there’s NO SAFEGUARDS ON DUTY. If you want to surf , go to Bai Dai beach. They have great surfing waves.

As another very helpful review below (Rita) pointed out, ignore google directions for beach access as most of the beach is blocked by private resorts. It's 2km walk from the vinbus 17/19 stop. Head to Family Inn Restaurant then walk up the hill (Family Inn will be on your left). About 100m up you'll see a break in the fence to the left and a very rocky road - head up this road. No vehicle access but if you're on a motor bike you should be ok. There will be a fork in the road after about 200m however both reconverge down the hill so doesn't matter which one you follow. Once you reach the bottom head to the right for Ong Lang Beach. The Eco Lodge Resort restaurant will be on your left. We ate here then walked back up through their reception for a shortcut back to the mainroad. No toilets or food stalls on the beach.

We were looking for a nice free beach for snorkeling and this is by far the best spot we found. Beautiful sea, lots of colorful fishies, relatively little garbage in the water (plenty on the beach tho), and not too many tourists around.
You’ll have to enter through a resort, marked by a big turquoise gate on the main road, but we had no trouble going in on our moped, and the guard didn’t seem to mind (we were very obviously tourists tho).
A perfect end to our trip to Phu Quoc!

Dinh Cau temple is a small, yet alluring shrine dedicated to the goddess of the sea situated 200m west of Duong Dong town. It boasts mesmerizing harbor views and features a blue-and-white striped lighthouse along with an ancient oak tree under which lies an old temple with a mossy tiled roof. This site is renowned for its mysterious and sacred ancient legends that draw in many tourists seeking to experience its charm.
Went there with a friend, the Dinh Cậu locates on an isolated place overlook the sea. It is a religious place, so consider cover yourself with long sleeves and trousers. I recommend to climb to the lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful view there.

A nice pagoda and lighthouse complex hewn out of some rocks on the shore, it affords nice views of the sea, especially at sunset (or sunrise, if you rise early). It is just a short distance from the night market and most of the budget hotel options. It seems to be a hangout for the locals (kids playing, some street food, couples strolling, etc.) which adds to the atmosphere. Nothing truly spectacular but part of the Phu Quoc experience.
Pro Tip: When entering the actual worship area, please remove shoes and do not step on the doorway. Dress code seems to be relaxed here in keeping with the beachside location

What an amazing experience!! I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. It is a full day adventure. The water park was so much fun and all the other areas had so many other rides and activities.
When we went it was raining - during that time some rides are occasionally closed and reopen throughout the day. They were all worth the wait!
The high ropes course in the Viking village was super fun and not busy at all.

Honestly it's way overpriced for the quality of the rides. The fastest and most entertaining rollercoasters were not working most of the day and only started operating an hour before the end. And the log ride was working for maybe 20 minutes. (We waited in the queue for nothing.) The rest of the rides were really only suited for kids or those who prefer tamer rides. If you like waterparks I'd definitely reccomend the Southern Aquatopia water park over this one. You get a unique cable car experience and it has way more rides and variety compared to this waterpark. The best thing here was the aquarium and the giant turtle building. I've heard the safari is decent too but I didn't do it and it costs extra if you want to do it. Definitely consider the southern water park as an alternative. It's much cheaper too!

An Thoi archipelago, located in the southern region of Phu Quoc island, is a group of 18 islands known for their pristine natural beauty. Among these, the more famous ones are Dam Ngang island, Kho Island, Kim Quy island, May Rut island and Mong Tay island. The islands boast of picturesque beaches with clear blue water and ivory white sand that blend in perfectly with natural rock formations and lush green trees to create a scenic paradise.
Very nice to visit Turtle Head Rock Beach, we visited here while joining OnBird's snorkeling. The beach is quite clear and shallow, very enjoyable

In the An Thoi Archipelago, people may not know that there exists a coral mountain which is about 200-300 sq meter undersea and only approximately 0.2 meter under the water surface. Amazingly, these vivid coral reefs are still be well- preserved as not many tourists can reach out to this hidden place.
Thanks to OnBird Phu Quoc, a dedicated snorkeling tour operator on the island, my parents & I could come here once & took some great photos of them before they bleach in the future who knows.

During the tour, the boat will stop at 1 spot for fishing and 2 spots for diving to see coral. The coral in this area is mostly dead and calcified, so it is not as colorful as often seen in movies. The number of fish species is not much. The advantage is that the water level in the coral viewing area is very shallow, just bring a float, float, and dive to look at the coral, even people who don't know how to swim can participate.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and overall, our experience was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the hotel sent a driver to pick us up from the airport with a sign with my name, and they were also able to call us a taxi when we needed to go back to the airport. However, they initially wanted to charge me half of the taxi costs even though I had booked a 3+ night stay which was supposed to include round-trip airport shuttle service. The manager initially told me that the information was outdated, but after some argument, I was able to avoid paying anything extra.
The language barrier was a bit of an issue, as most of the staff spoke only Vietnamese. The manager had conversational English skills, but he often had to rely on Google Translate. Nonetheless, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I was able to reach out to the manager via text whenever I had an issue, and he always responded quickly with a solution. This was especially important since the hotel shuts down around 9 pm, with the gates, reception, and restaurant closing for the night.
I had booked a "deluxe sea view room" with an ocean view, but upon arrival, I was informed that all ocean view rooms had been closed down by the Vietnamese government. This was disappointing, and yet the hotel did not reimbursed me or apologized for the mistake. The property itself is usually quiet and peaceful, but it's quite small and far from other attractions on the island.
Overall, while there were some shortcomings, the friendly staff and comfortable room made for an enjoyable stay.

Set on a mountain and surrounded by beautiful slopes, Su Muon Pagoda is an ancient Buddhist temple with a serene atmosphere. The air here feels fresh and pure, making it a peaceful oasis for visitors seeking tranquility. One of the highlights of the pagoda is the massive 300-year-old Ko Nia tree that provides shade to those who seek refuge beneath its branches. Another noteworthy feature is the imposing rock lion statue that adds to the pagoda's grandeur.

The region boasts pristine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush greenery, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts. The Coi Nguon Museum is a worthwhile destination for those with a few hours to spare. Although the admission fee of 50k per person may seem steep, visitors can opt to simply take pictures of the impressive dragon architecture at the entrance. This museum offers comprehensive information about Phu Quoc's rich history, from its earliest days to its development under Vietnamese government. It is an excellent source of knowledge for anyone interested in learning more about this fascinating place.
Nice place to visit if you have couple of hours to burn.. at 50k per person, the ticket is not exactly cheap, so even if you want to avoid it, just take some nice snaps in front of the cool dragon architecture at the front..

This museum is half empty and in a bad shape. The museum itself should be in a museum. Most things are only described in Vietnamese, and the ones where English is addes are rather poorly translated. Half of the things you can't even see because the glass cabinets are dusty and fogged. Walls and ceilings are leaking water. Some rooms smell. It's 50k VND per person for entry but it's a waste of money. True, the entrance gate and the general image of the building is nice and tempting, but the insides are not - unfortumately.

A beautiful building. My ticket was 50k. Not a soul in the museum))) Seems that last time it was updated was when it was built. But there is definitely certain charm in walking in an empty museum. There's a terrace with a view on one of the top floors. And you can learn about island's history from the posters on the walls.

I liked walking around the museum and reading the stories of Phu Quoc and the life back then. They have interesting exhibits and the ticket is only 50vnd. On the negative, the museum is relatively dusty and pretty hot, carry a bottle of water. The view of the city from upper floors is amazing, check that out :)

The Sunset Sanato Beach Club is a popular destination in Phu Quoc that offers stunning sunset views and a beautiful beach. Visitors can take advantage of the numerous photo opportunities, although they should be prepared to wait in line or have others appear in their photos. The beach is clean and the water calm, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. While the artificial statues provide unique photo locations, there is an entrance fee of 100,000 VND per person.
It’s still 100K per person to enter. A must visit when in phu quoc especially if you like the beach and sunsets. Visited in March and there was a lot of people. Be prepared to wait in line for photos or have people be in your photos. There’s many photo opportunities here for social media. Beach is clean and the water is calm. Great for anyone to enjoy. For me, travel is to release stress and relax your mind after working days. So, I come here not only enjoy the atmosphere but also have a chance to capture beautiful moments with sunset.
Walking along the beach, make me feel peace inside (although just a short trip and this won’t last long, it’s also a great solution to heal)
I didn’t experience food and other service here, so i won’t comment about those.

I didn’t find it so magical how it been advertised. There are few structures but quite old and trascurate. They charged you 200.000 vnd to stay at the beach for doing nothing just watching the sunset. The sunset is very good but like in every other part of the island.

The perfect place for your instagram photos! The beach has tons of sculptures and artful pieces to take photos with, and many places to view the sunset. They have a restaurant and bar, and also a bar on the beach. To enter, you will need to pay a small fee.
Lyna — Google review
You have to pay an entry fee which isn't much but besides the couple of statues there isn't anything here (besides a restaurant which wasn't very inspiring tbh so we didn't bother even having a drink here). There is also SO MUCH RUBBISH here! I know it's not their fault that rubbish drifts in from the sea but they've made no effort to clear any of it up (all other hotels and resorts have staff who clean their beaches and grounds everyday) which is just dreadfully sad to see and is even between and around the tables closer to the beach. All in all, it feels like a desolate place and we were glad to leave after taking just a few quick pictures. Maybe better at sunset (at this time of year there are many clouds so sunsets arent very visible) but I don't imagine that the rubbish is cleared in time or that the restaurant turns into something magical. The only good thing is that the music played was nice.
Yvonne Hin — Google review
Rusty old place which is falling apart and they still charge you 100k Dong entrance fee. Every beach hotel on the island will provide you a better experience and service. The best joke: you have to walk yourself from the beach to the bar to get a drink and they still charge your service charge.
Fabi Flöt — Google review
Lovely beach location with sculptures that suit the sunset perfectly. Tunes are playing as the sunsets, drinks from the bar, bean bags or table and chairs all on the beach to watch the stunning sunsets of Phu Quoc
Abigail Farrow — Google review
Complete scam. Poorly maintained beach with rusty infrastructure. Charges 100000 VNĐ entrance fee and food at the restaurant is bad and overpriced. Lots of cigarette buds littered on the beach, broken sunbeds, and half-finished drinks scattered around and attracting ants. There are other beach clubs that are much better-maintained and don’t charge a fee. So simply put: don’t go there!
Linan C — Google review
Did not try any drink or food. Insagramable place, but that’s all. You should pay to enter 90 000 dong, sunbed is not for free, you should pay another 100 000 for sunbed even if you come at 4 pm when beach time is almost over. Extremely dirty for this price, cigarets, plastic everywhere, near sunbeds, in the sea. I know it’s out of season, so water is not clean, but could you clean the beach for the price you charge???? Also be prepared to have a rest between tons of Chinese tourists who come here in huge buses. Expect queues to take a picture of any object.

We have really bad experience with the food. The price is high, but the food is totally bad. We order pizza and spaghetti; the spaghetti smell spoiled. One of us is vomited right after eating. Others got stomachache and go to the toilet so many times.
Starfish Beach, situated in Ganh Dau Commune on the island of Phu Quoc, is a stunning location with its pristine white-sand beach and crystal-clear waters teeming with bright-red starfish. Although the beach itself is tranquil and idyllic, getting there involves navigating an unpaved bumpy road.
Beautiful place. Leave the car or motorbike as soon as possible at the beginning of the trip. Don't be fooled by the local hustlers. If you keep walking straight, you will find beautiful beaches with lots of starfish. Paying for a boat or a sunbed is completely unnecessary.
Tereza Kodlová — Google review
So if you google map Starfish Beach you will find two destinations on the island. The one that is on the north east side is the correct one. We went there on a small scooter by ourselves and it was worth the effort. The last 15-20 minutes of the road is dirt road with lots of loose sand and bumpy, so keep that in mind. The area is mostly underdeveloped. When you get to the destination, drive around before just parking in the first place you choose. There are a few wonderful seafood restaurants that just right on the ocean, so don't just choose the first place you see. We saw loads of red orange starfish in crystal clear water in January. Just leave them in the shallow water and take pictures there with them, instead of taking them out. My highlight of the day was the atmosphere of eating at one of the many fish farms overlooking Cambodia in the distance. It was surprisingly cheap to eat and drink there. We could choose a fish right out of the farm. The locals barely spoke English but were super friendly where we went. The vibe is laid back and peaceful. If you want to have your own little adventure for an afternoon this a rewarding option. Try to get here before the place gets too developed in the future.
Jacq M — Google review
We thought we would see a beautiful beach, maybe some starfish but when visiting not in the main season the beach is not maintained.. lot of rubbish around, also there are no starfish.. we asked a local girl about the starfish beach and told us to go to 10km hike or pay for a boat.. waste of time plus a road to that place was awful 😑
Martin Mihál — Google review
It's a beautifull beach that has alot of starfish. The last part to the beach is either by foot or boat. Boat price around 150 to 200k per person is not uncommon.
At the beach if you get there early you can really enjoy the peacefulness. If you get there later then be prepared to see a lot of tourists.
Especially some tourists from specific countries behave like animals. Picking up starfish to pose with them, keeping them out of the water for minutes on end. (See pictures.) Please if you go there just behave, let the starfish be and just enjoy them from where they're laying. Don't take them out of the water cause they can't breath out of water.

Beautiful beach with amazing water!
The road is not the easiest and its pretty remote but worth the drive!
Not as many starfish as there is no awareness that tuching the starfishes is actually killing them - so please enjoy from distance.
I even found spots on the beach that are completely secluded.
Not as dirty as other beaches but would still find plastic and fishing equipment on the shore.
But in total the beautiful scenery is worth a day of visit!

Best Scam, only you get this place, will be asked to take boat to the island which you can see starfish. We were quoted 500,000 dong for 2 people. We choose not to do it.
We did not see any starfish. Very much disappointed. But we ended just walking around the area. We only saw jelly fish
Note, they charge 20,000 to park your bike. But if u buy a drink it's free. My advise just drive slightly deeper there is free parking.
Road to get here is not good. Very bumpy for last 4km

Nice beach with crystal clear water. Few people make the beach more relaxing. We were also lucky to observe many starfish.
But you need to get there by boat as the first “starfish” beach where you park motorbike has no starfish but lot of rubbish. Also the road to the beach/boat dock is VERY bumpy.
Boat is 100k VND per person - both ways. It is though worth it!

The road to access it is under construction and is difficult to drive on. Arrived to a sh*thole which we thought was the starfish beach…. No
We were forced to pay 30USD for a 5 minute return boat transfer to the next beach along. The beach is small, full of rubbish. Deckchairs cost 50,000 dong each. The starfish were nice.
Disappointed after a 1 hour drive each way, the beach at our hotel is nicer.
Jake Wright — Google review
The beach is beautiful and peaceful, but you have to suffer unpaved bumpy road to get there.
People caught starfish out of ocean and put on beach for tourists to take pictures result in death of starfish.
This behavior is prohibited now by government so you only can discover starfish on the bridge above the ocean which is good for starfish.
But, don’t expect to see any starfish on the beach.
Now is “None”
Kevin Chou — Google review
Sadly it is an instagram trap. The location of the actual starfish beach is further northeast. The moment you arrive at the parking lot, locals will approach you to pay for a speedboat to see the starfish beach. We didn’t bother and walked our way there: there is a marked path, it takes 30 minutes walking but you will need to cross a small, knee-deep stream. Along the beach there were no starfishes at all, coincidentally, they were scattered only in the area fenced by the locals. We saw a bucket full of starfish which reinforces the rumour that this beach is a machination of the locals to make a tourist attraction out of it. At the ‘starfish beach’ people who came by boats take loads of pictures and constantly touch the starfish, causing them to die. They leave within 20 minutes. This behaviour is irresponsible and stupid, it is truly damaging the beach ecosystem. At last, the beach is clean and the water is clear.
Tamara Petetta — Google review
Nice place to visit, great beaches good food
A few points of note
The road is dirt, not rough by Asian standards but dirt all the same, the comments about how rough it is are exaggerated. We cycled it no problem but then we live in Cambodia where roads are bad.
Make sure the starfish are actually ar the beach as apparently its seasonal when they come to the beach otherwise it’s a $4 noisy boat trip to see them
Don’t pick them up unless it’s to put them back in the ocean.
Derrick Murray — Google review
The road to this beach is not ideal for about 5km but have been on much worse.
When you get to the beach, the locals will advise that you need a boat to see the starfish and they offered 200,000 VND per person.

It's a 5-7min boat ride to the starfish location.
There's no path beyond this point along the beach side. The beach has been blocked with lots of cut trees. Must be done by the locals to earn some money thru boat services.
Video: This is the last point. we walked till then and the beach is blocked. So we took the boat service.

It's terrible. Most of the starfishes are dead or slowly dying. And idiots are making selfies with them. The journey to Starfish Beach by scooter was a bit of a hassle. The road is not finished and is still under construction. We were greeted just before the beach and asked to park the scooter there. They told us that the beach could only be reached by boat. 200,000 dong per person. As we didn't have much time, we decided to follow the signs. A few meters further on there was parking and we followed the path to the beach. We were also welcomed there, boat trip 150,000 dong. We walked along the beach where it was marked on Google Maps. Apart from jetties and dirty water, there was no starfish to be seen. So we decided to take a boat 100,000 dong per person for 10 minutes to Starfish Beach.
Conclusion: the whole thing is highly commercialized. Before the transfer you wait in a restaurant, before you are taken back you should let the store owner know and preferably buy a drink. We later found out that it is probably also possible without a boat. Theoretically, you can walk along the beach or take a scooter. You are definitely not alone, you can hire a jet ski. There are chairs everywhere to sit on and swings for photos. Knowing this, we would have approached the visit differently.

5 stars for the experience. It‘s not super crowded, and the small beach provides a stunning view and lots of beautiful starfish. Yet, the location is misleading. From this point you will NOT get to the beach directly. It takes you 30+ minutes of walking or a short boat ride (100-150k per person) to get to the actual location.
I‘m deducting 2 stars for the government‘s lack of care for those animals. Not a single sign telling people NOT to take out the starfish from the water - that‘s a shame. Tourists there were always on the hunt for the perfect picture, and they will not shy away from killing starfish by taking them out of the water. This is horrible to watch.

Extremely chill place, beautiful and it’s not that crowded. The boat costed 200k for both directions. Someone said you could reach the place with scooter, but honestly the boat ride was a good experience, love it.

Very quaint and unspoilt beach. The people were however not very gentle with the starfish and were picking them up and posing with them. No one was harming the fish though. The water is serene the sunset stunning.
