Yuelu Mountain, located on the west bank of Xiangjiang River, offers a stunning display of red maple trees from mid-November to early December at the Autumn-Admiring Pavilion. The mountain is home to the Ancient Tree Botanical Garden, featuring ancient and famous trees dating back to various dynasties. Yuelu academy is on the east side of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha, Hunan province, on the west bank of the Xiang River. As one of the four most prestigious academies over the last 1000 years in China, Yuelu Academy has been a famous institution of higher learning as well as a centre of academic activities and cultures since it was formally set up during the Northern Song Dynasty. The academy was converted into the Hunan Institute of Higher Learning in 1903. It was later renamed Hunan Normal College, Hunan Public Polytechnic School, and finally Hunan University in 1926. Yuelu Academy was once a center of Confucian learning in China.

Very historical and nice place! A must-go place I Changsha!!
Changsha Window of the World is a popular tourist attraction featuring replicas of renowned global sites such as Mount Rushmore and the Egyptian pyramids, in addition to various amusement rides. Despite its age and language barrier for English speakers, it offers excellent photo opportunities and food stalls. However, foreigners may find the local cuisine intolerable. Overall, Changsha Window of the World provides an enjoyable experience for visitors seeking to explore different cultures in one location.
Although not a perfect place and quite old, it’s a great place to pay a visit during the trip to Changsha. They have some great places for photo shooting and rides together with food stalls. The main set back is that they don’t speak English and the foods are not tolerable for foreigners like us. But overall, it was quite a nice visit.

Probably the best China could afford in those era to give it's citizens a view of the great places of the world. Now most of them probably afford to see the original ones across the globe. OK for kids, to have a glimpse of the world famous sites and monuments in the same place.

Window of the world was an experience! The theme park itself was quite old and worn, with a lot of the park looking dirty and unclean. But it had a certain charm and I especially enjoyed the lake's water fountain show to some Disney and opera songs. I really did enjoy it and the lack of stars is only a reflection on the tiredness of the park. Sydney Opera House for example looked as though it had been on a three week bender - looked a bit dirty and smelly, but like lots of fun...

Came here for a layover in Changsha. Tickets are expensive (180 RMB) and not worth it. The park was tired and worn out with barely any people during the day. Seemed almost like an abandoned amusement park. Performances were not happening and there were barely any staff in the park. Go to the one in Shenzhen...it's 10x better!

(Translated by Google) I was prepared to go after seeing the reviews saying it was old, but it was even more beautiful than I expected. It was nice that there weren't many people. I took my 1-year-old with me and it was nice to take a walk, and there was also an indoor amusement park for kids. The staff seemed to be taking turns taking a break, so there were some play equipment that I couldn't ride on.
Boats and VR require additional fees.
When I ordered gyudon at a shop next to the roller coaster that rotates once, it was seasoned like a hot pot.
There were also other stinky tofu shops.
Although you can't see it on the map, there are many hills, so if you have small children, we recommend renting a stroller. The Ferris wheel had a lot of stairs so it was a little difficult. It was a nice change of pace.
I think 20 yuan per person is cheap considering you can play this much.

The Hunan Museum is a vast historical and cultural institution spanning 12 acres. Recently rebuilt and reopened in late 2017, the museum boasts an impressive exhibition on the Han tombs which draws visitors from all over the world. This attraction has been said to be even more exhilarating than Xi'an's warriors, though it can become crowded at busy times with long queues.
Most of the exhibits comes with English description, and features artifacts that are over some 2000 years ago. The exhibits shows how the wealthy influence the society and even till now.
Clement Leong — Google review
The entry system sucks as they are unable to scan the pre-registered QR codes and detect the registered ID document efficiently. The on-site staffs are helpful and have tried their best to guide the crowd and identify the queue which accepts the non- Chinese ID registrations. The management can do much more, such as setting up the LED signages at the entrance and enhancing the computer systems please!!
The exhibitions are amazing and impressive as the 2000 years old “lady mummy” named 辛追and her stuffs are kept well, I like its thinnest silk jacket.
They even show the original drawing of the imagery heaven and hell by Chinese painters several 1000 years ago (the one with black bird, which signifies the god of Sun), before the belief of Buddhist arrives in China.
However, the bad experience at the entry nearly ruins this visit, the museum management should put more efforts in improving this. Further, please add the basic English instruction on the signages.
For foreign visitors , please be reminded to register to reserve the free entry tickets at preferred time-slots via the official WeChat account, the reservation is opened 7 days in advance.

The exhibition on the Han tombs - for which the new building was created - is one of the great attractions of the world. (In my view it is more exciting than Xi'an's warriors.)
