Absolutely beautiful! Their washbasins' soap dispensers were all empty. Not much to do there other than look at calves and go to the viewing platform overlooking the milking. But the views surrounding the place are wonderful. They should have footpaths into the cattle grazing area.

This is a nice place with beautiful view to enjoy the cattle from afar and up close depends on the cattle as they’re roaming freely within the fenced up meadow. The view with mountain backdrop is marvelous when the sky is clear during good weather. However, it is too crowded and rowdy with tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Having said that, it is an educational place for children and family outing with viewing platform for the milking process, etc. RM5 per entry for locals is reasonable. There is a cafe within the compound with simple food provided, such as fried rice, fried noodle, etc. There is also ice-cream made from the fresh milk from the cattle. Overall, it is reasonably a good place to visit for a short few hours, especially for family with kids.

It’s not exaggerating if I say this is Malaysian version of ‘New Zealand’. Well maintained and organized farm in terms of cleanliness and flow of visitors. The cool breeze, weather and scenery are breathtaking. We can witness mount Kinabalu peak nearest from this point. My favorite is calf feeding and petting zone in the farm. Free parking. Highly recommended if you visit Sabah.

If you want to see clear mountain view you need to arrive here around 7:00+ morning they open from 8:00 this time the mountain is clearly visible in the background but if it's raining then you're out of luck, around 9:00am the mountain start to be cloudy and no longer visible. I have visited this place several time, my very first visit is during my son age 2 years old and visited few time after that now my son already 16 years old when we come here again and we still enjoyed the beautiful scenery, buying newly packed milk ( I love chocolate and coffee flavour) and also eating gelato ice-cream. Come visit this place and have a wonderful memory with your children feeding and giving milk to the calf my children sure enjoying it.

It's a wonderful place that I always wanted to visit. I reached the location at 2pm and it's like in the morning. The cool air, peaceful environment. Everything is fresh there. I love the mountains behind. Highly recommend place to visit. Ps: be careful about the road, some places are not even. Drive safe

The scenery is breathtaking.
But I hope the management can take some measures to improve the guide for activity. For example having clearer visuals or maybe a guide person to show people what to do over there.
Otherwise we travel all the way there but not much activities except just eat the yogurt ice cream and also the agro activity of feeding cow milk and grass.
Probably a big sign of what time is the cow milking activity etc could be placed. We wanted to see that but nothing there.
Kat Han Teng — Google review
The weather is nice and the ice-cream yogurt is not bad. The view is nice and apparently at certain timing you get to pet calfs. But beyond that there is nothing much to do, the smell of cow dung is very strong as well. So you might not want to visit if your nose is sensitive

A must visit place when you are in Kundasang!
First of all, please buy the ticket first online to reduce your waiting time at the counter. RM5/session, choose the milking session if you want to see the up-close.
I went for the earliest session and went there at 8 AM. Still plenty of parking during this time.
Gelato is a must try, so does their fresh milk!

Nice place for family day. I went there near noon, hence unable to take the best shoot. The place is close to mountains Kinabalu and fresh air. The milk and ice cream is the best. Better than hokkaido milk I try in hokkaido. Hope can visit again.

Beautiful concept of beautifying the farm with flowers and also having a taste of fresh milk and yogurt. I think our timing was not right because we didn’t see the milking of the cow. The place is very neat. Just about 3 Ringgit to enter. The ice cream was very nice especially the blueberry flavour

A nice place to visit while at Kundasang Valley. Arrived during lunch time, hence Mt Kinabalu is no longer visible as a backdrop due to cloudy weather. Better to visit in the morning. Too bad many places were closed ever since the pandemic (milking bay, cattle barns.)

Worth a visit this interesting place as you will never thought Malaysia have such a place being in a tropical country. Farm with milk cow, and they did market their produce. Not sure if it’s true but psychological I felt the yogurt taste better up there.

Guess its the most visited place in Kundasang. Well maintained and managed place. Its crowded during the day. Be sure to go early. Enjoy Gelato, milk, yoghurt, cheese. Do remember to purchase the tickets online before visiting. The scenery was nice too at the area. You get to feed the cows.

My recent visit to Desa Farm in Kundasang was an absolute delight and marked my first proper encounter with a farm setting. This charming farm has swiftly become one of my favorite places in Kundasang, offering an immersive and memorable experience for both kids and adults alike.
The highlight of my trip was the opportunity to get up close and personal with the cows, witness the farm's fresh produce in action, and even try my hand at milking cows. It was an educational and fascinating experience that left me with a newfound appreciation for the farming process.
Desa Farm doesn't just provide a visual feast – the taste buds are in for a treat too. The frozen yogurt, milk, and yogurt produced fresh from the farm are must-tries. The quality and freshness are evident, making for a delicious and authentic farm-to-table experience.
While the farm can get quite busy, especially with families and curious visitors, the staff efficiently manages the crowds, ensuring that the line for various activities moves swiftly. The bustling atmosphere only adds to the vibrant energy of the place.
The farm is a gem for anyone seeking a unique and enjoyable outing. Whether you're interested in farm activities, tasting fresh dairy products, or simply soaking in the picturesque surroundings, this place has it all. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the frozen yogurt – it's a delightful way to cap off a wonderful visit!

It is advisable to purchase the entrance ticket online (RM5 per person) before you visit the farm. We arrived here at 8:30 am, and it was quite crowded. Fortunately, we managed to find a parking spot.
Inside, there is a garden full of different types of flowers, which is perfect for photos. In addition to the flowers, there is a calf farm where you can feed the calves with a bottle of milk or grass, though there may be additional charges.
The milk and yogurt are a must-try! I especially enjoyed the yogurt ice cream. We bought a few flavors of milk, and all of them tasted great.
Overall, it's a must-visit place if you're in Kundasang.

Beautiful place to take pictures. The view is extraordinary. Can do a lot of activity such as feeding the animal. Also can see the process of how to make Desa Milk. I highly recommend you to come here if you're on a trip in Kundasang.

Its nice to take some photos here and have a chance to interact with the baby cow.
The staff is very very helpful and gave me a lot of information about the cow.
MILKING PROCESS: worth to have a look.
SCENERY: From here can see the top of the moutain kinabalu if its not cloudy. Many tourist coming here.
SOUVERNIR: the cow toy is so much lovely.
DESA CAFE: The croissants and the pizza from the Desa cafe are worse than I expected. They serve straight from the fridge.
The cappucino and fresh milk are quite nice.
The cheddar and camebert are okay.
The viewing from the cafe is cool and relaxing

The picture looks better than the real place.
I do hope my comments here would be read by the management because I think this place has good environment and there is so much they could have done to make the place more attractive.
There was no proper guide and arrangement of how the visitor should have experienced. Although it was stated activities such as milk packaging, calf feeding etc. were available, we were quite lost of where we should go and what we should see. Viewing the milk packaging from a small viewing panel was definitely a disappointment.
Please see how other countries have been doing for different types of museums/ products factory visit etc. They don't even have so much as what you have here but the experience had been great.
The architecture and planning of the entire place definitely needs an upgrade.
The cars were parked everywhere in the compound when they could have done so much with the place by encouraging people to walk and enjoy the potentially picturesque environment.
I thought I'd spent at least 2 to 3 hours here, but 30 mins (including enjoying the ice cream and photos taking) were more than enough.
S.Yun_traveller — Google review
5 ringgit per entry is still cheap. Still have the nicest landscape view with farm and mount kinabalu. Plus, the cow is everywhere. Main buildings sell box milk from fresh milk, chocolate milk, coffee milk, and banana 🍌 milk. They also sell gelato and some pastry such as pizza and others. There is room to view how to extract cow milk. There's a place too where children and adults can feed hay and milk to baby cows. Very nice experience 👌.

Seeing so many good remarks here, I truly feel that we are unlucky. Many path ways were closed and we weren’t allowed to go in. Just got a chance to see the calves and feed them milk. Otherwise it was a good walk in a fresh and nice climate. Cafeteria can improve a bit as it was pretty empty and no much choices. We just had coffee and left.

Cooling weather as if you are in highland like Cameron highland. The scenery is superb but not many cows there than expected. There is heavy jam as the travel bus blocked the way but no staff can help to direct the traffic. Otherwise the yogurt flavor ice cream is nice.
Sosodikon Hill in Kundasang is a popular spot for a short and easy hike, suitable for people of all ages. The 1465 meters tall hill offers stunning views of the valley and Mount Kinabalu on clear days. It's recommended to wear proper hiking shoes due to slippery and rocky slopes. The trek is not advisable for those with knee issues. Visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid cloud cover obstructing the mountain view.
Beautiful hill and take less than 10 mins to reach the peak. Entrance fee cost RM5. Good to visit before noon, to get better view. Less cloudy, No fog nor no rain.
For those newbie driver, do consider before you drive to this place.

First to comment is the drive. The road towards is a bit steep and non tarred. Bumpy as well. However, sedan car is still possible.
Not really a hike. Just walk prolly 5-10min up. But the view is magnificent.
Entrance fee for Malaysian adult is rm5.
Bring an umbrella during sunny day, is quite hot without shades.

Wonderful little hike! We came on a weekday late morning last week of March, it was not crowded at all. Trail was rocky but really beautifully lined with flowering plants. The platform at the top was so fun and colorful, it was windy and cooling up there. The 360 view was amazing! You have to pay for the hike (RM10 per person for non-Malaysian) and pay extra if you want a certificate of completion.

Time: Estimated hiking around 20 mins - 30 mins depends on ur speed

One way road to enter. Steep slopes await, but nothing an experienced driver can't handle. Pay to enter, given a lanyard with a pass to hike. 1 hour given to climb up and down. Cooling and windy. 10 minute hike to the top of the outpost.

We reached there at 6am and the sky is already bright but the sun is still hiding behind the mountain. By the time we reach the viewing platform the sun is out. I believe dawn is the best time to be there as there is not many visitors and you can catch the best sky light view very clear view of the mountain.
The climb is slightly tough for veterans but was ok for me. Entrance fee of RM5 is really worthy for the view we catched. One of the must visit place in kundasang!
To get there, follow Google maps or waze directions and park at the hill entrance. There’s a ticket booth right at the Carpark’s entrance. It’s a one way road, and the road heading back to town is a bit rough for small car. Just drive slow and enjoy the view!

It is advisable to visit the hill in the morning. We arrived around 12 pm, and it was very sunny. We got sunburned even though we only stayed at the top for 15 minutes. It took us 10-15 minutes to walk up the hill. The view from the top is excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Reviews weren't wrong to say the road was sooo horrible, even the ride up for a low cc car was abit of a challenge but a beautiful ride nonetheless taking in the view of the valley and the mountain. Be warned to take the road on the left instead of the wooden bridge on your way in! The hike up was quite easy (around 500m it seems) and beautifully decorated with plants trailing up the hill. Good idea to hike early in the morning (say 7am or so) to catch the great mount KK and kundasang ✨ Must visit!

Beautiful view from the deck over the peak of Sosodikon Hill. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to catch the sunrise and the full view of Mount Kinabalu. The hike up was pretty easy, even for kids. The hike took us about 15 minutes. Recommended for any age group.

Get your hiking shoes on! If you are planning to climb Mt Kinabalu do come and do this short trek first. If you manage to go all the way up without any breathlessness then perhaps you are 10% ready to climb Mt Kinabalu. Not the safest of trek with a lot of missing steps and flimsy barriers. It is also located on top of a barren hill so I do suggest you don't go up if the weather looks like it is going to turn for the worse. There is no shelter up there to protect you from the rain and worse of all lightning. But the view is outstanding. Do go if you are semi fit and seeking a bit of danger and adventure.

I love it, the path is so easy even the elder can slowly climb it.
Sadly, i didnt arrived there at the right time. So we couldn't see the kinabalu mountain.
The road to get there was kind of steep. so beware 🤯
lastly,
i personally think it is 10/10, better bring your camera, and go there when the mountain was not covered with cloud.
Best time : 6:00 -7:00 am

Exceptional view, it is beautiful! Ensure to put on track shoes as the slope going up and down can be slippery and rocky. If you have knee issue, not recommened. Tickets can purchase there. There is no Queue or waiting time. Just be careful if you drive in to this place as the road is narrow.
We went up estimated about 9am but it is too late to see the mountain view as it was covered by cloud. Didn't managed to go early as i have 1 infant and 1 kid with me to handle.
If you would like to see the mountain view, please go over before 7am as advise by other reviewer.

The Kundasang War Memorial is a tribute to the British and Australian military personnel who perished in the Sandakan POW Camp during World War II. The park features lush greenery, tranquil gardens, and a serene ambiance that provide an ideal setting for visitors to pay their respects. The memorial comprises four beautiful gardens that symbolize unity, peace, victory, and memory.
A Great Place to visit this place. What happened during WW2, back in 1940. Names of All the Great Defenders of North Borneo are displayed on the walls. Place well maintained. Do pay visit whilst in Kandasang.

I am not sure if the place is going for secret garden feel or haunted garden feel. There is an entrace fee of rm4 but place has an abandoned/ruin like feel. Leaves are everywhere, moss is abundant on the steps so it is slippery and the foliage tends to lean on the wild side. The flowering shrubs are not tended so do jot flower to their advantage. The picture shared here does not convey the muddiness feel of the fountain. All in all, not sure if it is worth the rm4 charge, but if you are a history buff or have fallen relatives here; sure why not visit?

We visited this war memorial that memorializes the death march in World War 2 where 2,400 British and Australian soldiers perished. Unfortunately the place is very poorly maintained despite a small entrance fee being charged. Those in charge need to do more to properly honour the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Kundasang War Memorial is located at the busy Kundasang market. Its basically a memorial garden for those armies who sacrificed during WW2. Garden style war memorial dedicated to 1800 Australian, and 600 British servicemen who had died in the Sandakan POW camp, and during the death marches between 1943 and 1945. Also to honour the locals who risked their lives to help the POWs. The place is a series of gardens, namely the Australian Garden, English Rose Garden, and Borneo Garden. The Contemplation Garden has marble plaques inscribed with the names of all who perished, and pond that cuts through a bunch of columns. Behind the Contemplation Garden is a lookout point with a good view of the surrounding area. Lots of greenery and flowers here. Also a souvenir shop and a small resting area with a collection of old photos. Malaysians pay a maintenance fee of RM4.

This is the location of the last camp site for the Sandakan - Ranau Death Marchers. It is here that brass belt buckles and metal buttons with Australian Army Insignia was recovered showing conclusively that the prisoners were here.

Visibility finding the place was quite bad, no big signage or anything. It is within a gated area and u have to pay a donation to the family staying nearby. Accomodation that is close to nature. They are located above the hills so, the weather is cool but, prone to showers during the Dec period. The cottages are air conditioned and have hot water facilities. However, the long houses are not equipped with these. Facilities are pretty basic but stay is comfortable.
Just note that you're close to nature so, bug spray is recommended. It was a interesting sight to have literally thousand of ants in front of our room in the morning when it rained heavily overnight. They can be aggressive if you disturb them and their bites hurt but, they pretty much leave people alone so, just stay clear. The only resturant is near the tea plantation so, you'll need a ride down or if not, you'll have to walk. It can get really dark at night.

Arnab Village in Ranau, Sabah is a haven for animal lovers and families with small children. It is the first and largest rabbit park in Malaysia, home to over 1000 well-cared-for rabbits of various breeds such as Satin, Angora, Rex, New Zealand White, Holland hoop, Lionhead and Netherland Dwarf. The surroundings are clean and safe for visitors to interact closely with the friendly rabbits and other animals like tortoises.

My family and I visited Arnab Village just to play with the rabbits so we didn't buy the full access ticket which is good value if you want to explore the whole place.
The rabbits are tamed. There are rabbit food sold, RM1 for grass, RM2 for the pallets. The rabbits will surround you once they know you have their food.
There's a small Cafe at the exit where Cat Mania is located. We had waffle, fries and some guava before we leave. They also sell photo taken at the entrance which costs RM50 if I'm not mistaken. We didn't buy it.
Overall, my children enjoyed playing with the rabbits during our short trip here.
Nur Zuriaty Zaki — Google review
I didn’t enter to play with the rabbit as i already did that years ago.
The place is clean.
The rabbits all manja. Ya Allah seram tengok they kerumun the visitors. Haha.
Yang suka rabbit, berbaloi lah masuk this place.
Atas this village is the Magical Garden.
Yang tidak best is, no signboard at the simpang masuk. Only have one about 100m before the gerbang Kampung which also confusing. And yes we missed the simpang as no network, we lost the google map.
The road is challenging, however all car can go through . Just drive safely(slowly).
Inside, ada kiosk ice cream roll, ada selera kebun 2nd branch, cat mania and food stalls.

The place is not that big … if you like rabbits & just visit to play with them
For a bit , is ok .

Its 50% off the tickets during my visit. For RM12, u get to visit 4x different place of interest. Previously, its was RM49. Seniors citizen above 60yrs old free. My kids love this place. You gets to play and feed the rabbits. Pet the cats at the Cat Mania. Take some selfie at the selfie site. Good enough to entertain you and family for at least 1hr. There also a restaurant inside.

Located a bit far away from Pekan Ranau, around 30 min drive if no traffic jammed. The roads are a bit challenging especially after entering the village area, a lot of uneven roads, hole and narrow roads.
We bought the RM12 tickets per adult which includes 4 places to visit, rabbit park, cat mania, garden of remembrance, and floating garden. Children under 5 years old is FOC.
There’s a photographer at the entrance, you can ask him to take photos but with charges RM50-RM80.
4 selfie area, Tree house, Giant cake, alice and Alladin. We Really love this selfie areas. Rabbit park are a bit disappointing because last time we go there, there’s a lot of rabbits around. They also added reptiles and tortoises, but we didn’t see any tortoises around. Also we couldn’t find the cat area.
Garden of remembrance is rabbits and cats resting place, there’s a few tombs there.
The decoration at floating garden is a bit disappointing because most of the decoration looks old and needs maintenance.
Overall it’s quite enjoyable to take family and friends to visit here.

I went there a year ago and came back with friends this time. I like how they have added on more things and upgraded their space. In the village now, they have rabbits, tortoise, terrapins and reptiles. You can feed them. Entrance fee was about RM10 per adult. They have a selfie corner near the entrance for you to take photos.
But personally I’m not a fan of the Cat Room because half of them are enclosed in cages. Some looked sick. Suggestion: Would love the concept of cat cafe if they decide to redo the space.

Road to the rabbit village need to be improved, same goes to parking slot. Rabbit and huge turtle was enjoyable to feed and touch.. but area need more improvement like chairs or bench.
We were lucky and saw at once 4 Rafflesias in this place

Saw their poster at Kinabalu Park and called ahead to check to make sure there are blooms. Saw one fully bloomed flower and many buds at their backyard’ with elevated bamboo-made walkway. You could only admire the flower from a distance which is totally understandable. Road leading to the garden is ok n Waze direction is good. Highly recommended if you never seen a Rafflesia before.

Our lucky day, still got 1 Rafflesia which already 4 days age. It takes nine months to mature and flowering lasts only 4 or 5 days before dying.

A small place managed by a local family with appropriate certification in rafflesia conservation. Friendly guide and able to answer any queries.
Recommended to contact the manager before coming as rafflesia doesnt have specific booming season and wont be for long. Hope they will post their contact online.
Was lucky to be there on the 2nd day where 1 of the rafflesia blooms.
Definitely worth the RM10 per person price tag.

Road may be a bit steep on the way to destination. Their conservation area is just behind the housing area, which are wild ones. They give good guide about the rafflesia. Quite worth when one of them blooms. Can WhatsApp the pic first before visiting. Price is rm20 for Malaysian, rm30 for foreigners

The guide was really friendly and explains alot of information regarding the place and the growth process of Rafflesia. BUT please call and make sure whether the flower is bloom or not. Because we travelled 3hr non stop and just able to see the seed. Just for your GK: It will take 9 months for a rafelssia to blooom and after 5 days it blooms it will start to decay

Kundasang Market is a vibrant hub offering an array of fresh vegetables, fruits, and beautiful flowers. The friendly atmosphere created by the welcoming sellers gives visitors a sense of being part of a close-knit community. Located at the foothill of Mount Kinabalu, the market boasts stunning views of the majestic mountain and its mist-shrouded peaks. Additionally, it is known for offering unique local produce such as red durian and strawberries.
Kundasang market is located at 37, AH150, Pekan Kundasang, 89308 Ranau, Sabah, Malaysia. It is typical roadside stalls. The stalls selling local products, such as local honey, local strawberry, local cinnamon stick, local rice, local avocado, fruits, and many more. There are local snacks, food and drinks too.

At an elevation of almost 1,900m , Kundasang is the highest settlement in Malaysia, and among other things, it’s renowned for its fruit and vegetable market……..so a great spot to stock up on some amazing tropical fruit snacks. I’m also quite sure it’s the only place I’ll ever see giant cabbage statues adorning the roundabouts.
Don't forget to snap photo and enjoy the fresh fruit and vegetables because it is really cheap.

Red durian @Kundasangmarket
I will give the market place 4stars for variety and items sold from local rice from the hills, vegetables, unique fruits and plants. That would be a different post…
This review is for durian.
We were looking for specifically RED FLESH durian. Please don’t waste your money unless it is a MUST HAVE or on your bucket list.
Wild durians were about RM3 a fruit at stalls at one of the rest areas as it has about 2 or 3 seeds a year back. That was 2021 🤔😱
This time, we tried the red flesh durian. Wasn’t even fully ripe and with only one seed! Inflated price indeed and not worth it.
A total disappointment. The wild yellow orange one was better with a slight tinge of cempedak like flavour. Kampung durian taste better!
This post is for durian lovers ya…
Nestled in the Mesilou Highland, the Mesilou Highland Strawberry Farm offers more than just strawberries. Visitors can wander through the farm and marvel at a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown in different creative ways. For a fee, guests can pluck fruits, vegetables, or leaves to take home. The farm also features a cafe where visitors can indulge in all sorts of strawberry-themed treats.
Amazing place with great scenery of Mt Kinabalu. Cakes and ice cream taste amazing. You can pluck fresh strawberry for RM7/100Gram. A good place to just drive by and relax a while. LOL 😂

Visited the strawberry farm with high expectations for a fun and educational experience, but left disappointed. Hoped to pick strawberries and learn about the growing process, but none of that materialized. The organic strawberries we bought were mostly sour, making the overall trip a waste of time. Disappointing experience.

Rm3 per entry, and there were no strawberries to see. There was a sign saying we can pluck strawberries and pay per 100g, but alas no strawberries.
They have nice colourful buildings to take picture with but that’s about it. Didn’t try their strawberry pastries because they didn’t look that good anyway.
Disappointed. They should have told us there’s no strawberries instead of making us pay rm3 for entry to see nothing.

Slightly disappointed that the farm itself was closed. No sign board or anything. But the cafe is still open. They had cakes, ice cream, cheesy chicken, strawberries (rm10), hot chocolate and marshmallows.. a chic place with beautiful view. My daughter (6 years old) and i still enjoyed our time here eventho the farm itself was closed.

The view was tbh quite lovely but unfortunately the strawberry cake was unpalatable and there were no strawberries to pluck or see. There’s also no fresh coffee.
I love to support small, local businesses but in this case (& I hope they take it in the right way) they need a drastic turnaround.
RM15 for 5 strawberries. RM11 to RM12 for unpalatable slices of cake.
RM2 per person for entry

This place is located on the way to Poring Hot springal at Ranau. You can see the banner at the road side. Rafflesia flower take 15 months to growth and only bloom for 6 days. Second to third days is the most beautiful time for the flowers. So, it is depending on the luck if you visit this place. However, they have a lot of Rafflesia at different growing stage. They will guide and explain when you visit the place.

Interesting place to stop by after visiting the Poring canopy walk. We stopped car by the roadside, paid for the tickets and a little girl walked us in to show us exactly where the blooming rafflesia were at. They were actually smaller than what I had imagined. Can tell the locals there were taking good care of them, all were sheltered.

There were 3 flowers at bloom (1st, 3rd and 5th day) when we visited. $30 per person and definitely worth it.

Got Rafflesia Blooming Day 1 on 10th May 2023.
Other similar place might charge cheaper. What I saw was small sized Kethii but if you are lucky enough, definitely worth the visit for RM20 per person as each bloom only lasts for around 5 days.
Short walking distance. You may ask the guide for more details on Rafflesia.

It's not easy to find this type of parasitic flowering plant or Rafflesia in the wild, which is in danger of extinction because it cannot grow in captivity. Worth a visit if available since the flower can only live for 3 to 5 days but the bud takes a lengthy 9 months to mature like a human baby.
tm sii — Google review
It was well maintained inside and clearly written which day the rafflesia blooms on that day. It's a rare sight of them as it only blooms about 1-5 days after 15 months of budding!
We were lucky to have seen on the 3rd day blooming which is the best condition of the flower.
RM20/pax, not cheap, but you don't get to see this everyday!
Scott Cheong — Google review
Parked road side and walked across to the ticketing booth. Paid RM20 per person.
It was worth it. The flower takes many months to mature and only blooms for 5 days. There is no particular season in which it will bloom. Take note of the board at the ticketing counter to know how many flowers are blooming.
Managed to see 2 awesome rafflesia. Definitely holds up its title of being the largest flower in the world.
The flowers are fenced up so you won't be able to go near it or touch it (as it is fragile). But you can definitely get a good view of it.
Kudos to the people for working diligently to conserve the flower!
Lim Hueeli — Google review
Was lucky to see almost all stages of the flower. For those who's visiting, pay attention to the roadside banner. They will specify number of flowers that's blooming. Paid RM20 for the entry - not the cheapest but it's quite worth it for the experience and considering the short lifespan of the flowers and the labor needed to grow them.

This place is near to Porint Hot Spring. When I was there 2 weeks ago, there were 5 Rafflesia blooming. Very nice to have a look at the real flower in the wild for the first time. Although entrance is a bit on the high side, considering seeing this for the first time, I think it is worth it. The place is operated by a local family so so I think it is fair to pay them a bit more, and kind of helping them too.

enter via poring, RM 3 entry. no guide required, just follow the forest tracks. some of it broke into 2 just for shortcut purposes. just follow either one should be okay. you'll cross 2 streams (one is the kipungit falls, second one is just another stream midway) beware of leeches and a snake sighted by our second team behind (i didn't saw it myself). we reached the waterfall in 2 hours. bring first aid kit for leech bites. hike is not so difficult unless you're not a frequent hiker nevertheless the waterfall itself is very much worth the troubles. one of my favorites so far in Sabah.
SHAHRULNIZAM HASHIM — Google review
Tough hiking due to heavy down poured. To make it worse we're hiking in sandals. Must use proper shoes. Leeches every where on our body. They got into my pants too 😅
No other people along the trail. Took less than 2 hours to get to the Waterfall but we started late after 1pm. When we reached hot spring about 5pm, there were no people around at all.
Kam — Google review
we took 4km from poring hot springs to reach langanan waterfall so the round trip was 8km. my friend had about 11 leeches on her feet. recommended to wear socks to prevent the leech bite. whole trip was wet and slippery. we took about 4 - 5 hours for the trip.
Steven Chu — Google review
The trail can be considered as medium level (not too easy yet not too hard) and will take around 2.5 to 3 hours to reach to the waterfall. You will pass by a few small waterfalls along the way. There are also leeches but they bring no harms except sucking your blood. Just pretend that you're donating your blood so it'll be fine! 😆

Place is about 3.5 km hike to the waterfall. Will passby few smaller streams. Not too stenous climb but there are leeches everywhere. Certain areas around the hike may need to get wet. For those who say being bitten by leeches are not painful are obviously lying 😂

My recent experience at ATV Borneo Adventure Sports was nothing short of a disaster. I had high hopes for an exciting ATV ride through the beautiful landscapes, but unfortunately, my expectations were shattered. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice before wasting their time and money.
First and foremost, the vehicles provided by ATV Borneo Adventure Sports were in terrible condition. Throughout the entire ride, we encountered frequent breakdowns, with engines dying and tires so bald that getting out of ruts became an arduous task. The lack of maintenance was evident, and it significantly hampered our ability to enjoy the experience. To make matters worse, one of the ATVs started leaking fuel, and another one began smoking.
Moreover, ATV Borneo Adventure Sports exhibited a complete lack of professionalism when it came to managing reservations. Despite calling ahead of time to book 5 single ATVs for 5 riders, we were provided with only 3 ATVs upon arrival. It was clear that they failed to organize ahead of time, forcing my group to double up on two ATVs. This not only compromised our comfort but also undermined our safety (we sat on the metal cargo rack).
Furthermore, the customer service was abysmal. Upon reaching the venue early, we did not receive any briefing or safety equipment until the very last minute when we had to request them. It seemed as though we were forgotten about, as the staff appeared uninterested and unresponsive to our inquiries.
Adding insult to injury, the advertised attractions, such as the visit to the earthquake ruins and the climb up Sosodikon hill, were not included in our ATV ride. We were left disappointed and frustrated after driving for two hours from the city to Kundasang, only to have our expectations shattered due to the constant breakdowns of the vehicles.
The only positive aspect of this experience was the view I had while being stuck on the hill for 20 minutes. However, I must emphasize that ATV Borneo Adventure Sports cannot take credit for this, as it was purely accidental and unrelated to their services.

Best place to enjoy your first ATV experience in Kundasang. The staff are friendly and they taught us everything from the safety to the trail we're taking. Be sure to have shoes, sunglasses and a mask because the trail is dusty during the dry season. The price is reasonably cheap for the experience we got. Recommended!
If you're an animal enthusiast, the Alpaca Club in Kundasang is a must-visit destination. This charming alpaca farm offers a serene setting with the magnificent Mount Kinabalu as a backdrop. The petting zoo allows visitors to interact with these gentle and furry creatures, feed them, and capture memorable moments with them. In addition to alpacas, the club also houses rabbits, guinea pigs, and hedgehogs for visitors to enjoy.
My first experience seeing alpaca in front of my eyes! 😍
The ticket price for an adult is RM 15, with a time limit of 20 minutes. My most fave alpaca is Milo, the dark brown one. It’s so adorable! 💖💖

Such a beautiful animal and worth to see. Just the entrance fee is a bit expensive rm15 for 20 minutes to see 5/6 alpacas.

This is my first time seeing alpaca and the entrance fee is rm15. We were allowed to be in there for about 20 minutes. They limit the number of people to be in the farm at the same time.
The staff there will brief about what to do and what not to do with the alpaca as they are quite sensitive animals. They only release a few alpacas and others stay in the cage. So you can't really pet them freely.
Ika Nadia — Google review
Went here around 9am. Less crowd. But the staffs told us they are not sure what time they can release the alpacas outside. Mostly were in their barn, so you can still see / touch them. After a few minutes they brought only one alpaca out where you can pet them on the neck only as they are relatively sensitive animals. Was a great experience as this was the first time seeing alpacas in real. Ticket for adult was rm15 and for babies rm2.

Parking is limited when peak visiting hours. Near the carpark area towards alpaca site entry there's toilets facilities available. Have to wait as each session entry is 20 minutes limited around 30 person. Tickets is pricey for locals. There's one alpaca roaming around visitors which can touch around its neck only. Staffs are always around to ensure safety. Friendly staffs.

Amazed to meet alpaca!
However the place has plenty of rooms for improvement, especially parking area and visiting time (20 minutes only).
Parking area is very limited, better visit in the morning to avoid overcrowded situation and long waiting time.
Staffs were friendly and knowledgeable. They professionally introduced alpaca with us🦙
This place is NOT suitable for elders who have difficulties in walking. You need to walk down the stairs to the farm.

We arrived around noon on a Friday, managed to join the 12:20pm session. Overall we were quite happy with the visit and close encounter with the alpacas since there weren’t many people, we managed to even feed one alpaca too. However, wished the staff could speak in both English & Malay for the briefing instead of just Malay for foreigners to understand. Another major thing I wish could improve is the traffic control at the entrance/exit, it’s a narrow road and quite a distance from the main road, so if a car enters while another exits, there’s not many space to manoeuvre, especially for big cars. Hope to see an improved Alpaca Club when I visit next

The road to entrance was not in good condition but the staff was helpful and helped us to find parking. Better check the schedule before going there. We waited some time for the next available slot and spent 20 minutes inside. Was able to take photos of alpacas that are inside the fence only but glad that their staff let us touch and take photo with the only alpaca that walked around visitors

Small farm. Only 1 Alpaca roaming around, the other inside the fence.
I'm here just because this activity is family friendly
Just an overrated tourist attractions

You can spend only about 30 mins here. It was all right. The alpacas are unique and look magnificent. I understand they are sensitive animals, so please heed the advice of their keepers.

Have read about alpacas, but was good to see a pack of them.. right in front moving around. Just one from the pack is released to interact with visitors, get photos, be fed and cuddled. The staffs are very serious and cautious about them.
The place also has rabbits, guinea pigs, hedge hogs.. if going there do check them out. the place is priced at Rm15/adult inclusive of parking (non-Malaysians). perhaps should consider to reduce it to a reasonable amount.
If in Kundasang, recommend this spot unless tight schedule and very short of time.

You can find few cute alpacas there. They allow You to feed and click pictures with one of the alpacas. There are few bunnies and Hamsters also. Please make sure you buy tickets prior to visiting the place since they allow only few people in batches. We had to wait for 40 mins to join in the next batch.

Sorry to say this is totally a waste of time and money. RM15/pax for entrance fee but you only get to see 5 Alpaca and touch 1 of it. Max 10 minutes inside. They also have rabbits and hedgehogs. Would not recommend. But they have good voew for photos.
My 2 cent.

Went there at around 10 am, weekdays.
No waiting. No early reservation. Just walk-in.
20 minutes given time to be inside with the Alpaca & Rabbit.
OMG.. the Alpaca sooooo adorable! We met Rose, who loves to eat and doesn't care what goes around her 😂
Alpaca & Rabbit.. oh, the Rabbits is soo fluffy. They are well taken care of. Good job, staff👏🏼And also there is 1 cat & 1 puppies there. So adorably cute!

This is my initial encounter with alpacas, and there are numerous of them in this location. Only one alpaca is permitted to come out of the enclosure, allowing visitors to interact with it. During my visit, a friendly alpaca named Ross welcomed us. Additionally, there are rabbits and hedgehogs available for you to play with. The place operates on a scheduled basis, accommodating around 35 people per session, each lasting approximately 20 minutes.

It is very difficult to drive here or maybe I am just a lousy driver. However this was a good experience. Though the compound is not huge, you can basically take photos with the Alpaca, touching them and learn more about them from the staff. The staff was very informative and helpful. So overall it was a good 20 mins experience.
