Sagamihara-Asamizo Park is a splendid destination for individuals of all ages. This vast park encompasses numerous attractions such as gardens adorned with vibrant hydrangeas, sports fields including a soccer field and basketball court, a children's playground dedicated to kids aged 2-10 years old, and an intimate petting zoo where visitors can ride ponies, watch peacocks, rabbits, and other birds.
Very huge part consisting lots of attractions for all ages kids. There are beautiful flowers gardens, wide and green field looks like soccer one, but if fact just free playing ground, playing ground dedicated for kids aged 2-10 years old, basketball playground, small zoo where you are able to ride a pony, per rabbits, watch peacock and other birds. To be honest, we have been there 2 weeks ago for the first time and were not able to walk it all. So we plan to visit it again and again.
Very recommended to families, couples and sport activity lovers.

Very nice park with plenty for the whole family to enjoy! There is a small petting zoo area and pony rides. There is a really cool area with 25 obstacle type areas that children can climb on. That area was a really big hit with the kids. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and a sprinkler area for kids to plaice cream. There is plenty of shaded areas as well as picnic tables for eating. Great parking available, bathrooms throughout, and food vendors nearby as well as vending machines with cold drinks and icecream.

Beautiful gardens to enjoy and have a picnic. There’s a field, playgrounds and a small zoo and petting zoo area which are all free to enjoy. For a small fee you can ride the ponies and feed the guinea pigs. There’s plenty of parking in the lot at the park and across the street as well.

Its beautiful naturally and lots of space for kids, and lots of playing spaces...Thank you Sagamihara City for making such a beautiful park...And you must visit the zoo too....

Nice place for kids to visit. Lot of area to walk. Flowers are very less and look can be improved but it’s okay anyways.
Sagamihara Park boasts an expansive landscape with manicured lawns and a variety of gardens, including a French garden nestled among redwood trees. The park also features walking paths lined with vibrant displays of native irises. Visitors can enjoy the spacious open fields, one watchtower, and a small zoo located within the park.
A very nice park for free. For every saison you have a lot of flowers. Even in winter! The only small con is, that you are not allowed to ride bicycles. But you have also a lot of testing points, toilets and also benches.
They is also even a tropical garden. It only cost 100 yen per person and has a lot of plants and flowers. On the top you also have a lot of cacti.
After that you also can buy a cheap coffe or dring and sit on the tables, so it’s not a cafe, just free place to sit.
This park is also dog friendly, so you can also come with you dogs here.
A recommendation for me even in the winter time.

The park is beautiful. It is big and perfect place to relax or enjoy with your kids.
And here’s the catch if you have a child, there is a old man who has a lot of fun stuff activities in the sand area that allowing the kids to play for FREE! Yes free! And he is awesome.

Spacious and well decorated park...

Also it has one small botanical garden inside...
Great place to walk with your pet or running or just for taking a break...

Beautiful flower park located in a small town of Sagamihara.
Its really a huge and beautiful garden.
Consists of numerous types of flower, tress etc.
The greenery is tremendous and no best season to visit.
Means you can visit at all the season, the beauties of garden will always welcome you.
There is also a small biological museum there where you can found rare flora and fauna.
The fountain surrounded by the red and yellow flower is beautiful.
And if you live near the garden, it would be a heaven for you to do physical workout there.
However those who doesn't have cars, its far to reach there from main station.
Even though you have bicycle it will takes about 30-40min from the station.
Also supermarket is not located near by the garden so you have to relay on vending machine.
Other wise everything is good.

I want to make good use of my waiting time at Sagamihara City Hall! The observation deck at the top of City Hall is the perfect place to use it! It is a free observation spot that overlooks Sagamihara City, and is recommended in winter when the air is clear. However, the elevator at City Hall can only go halfway up the observation deck, so you have to get off halfway and use the stairs to climb up to the observation deck! The stairs leading up to the observation deck are also steep, so this observation deck is not suitable for people with weak legs! If the country, prefecture, or city is promoting barrier-free accommodation, I think they should pay attention to these aspects as well! For now, please take advantage of the observation deck, which is a recommended spot to kill time meaningfully! Sorry for the lack of information! Now, I would like to end my writing with the hope that you will be able to make the most of your limited time.

Sagamihara City Hall completed in 1969.
As expected, it is undeniable that it is old, and it is quite dilapidated.
The interior is like an old city hall.
It is not known, but there is an observatory, and it is designed to overlook the city.
It's a city hall that doesn't have much to mention.
The point is that there is a smoking area in the back of the parking lot on the left side of the front entrance.

This place is really a mixed bag. Some of the staff are really inflexible and lack empathy—like the younger guy who refused to allow me to renew my My Number card when a kinder official at the My Number office near the train station had stated it was possible. Others go out of their way to be helpful—like the woman who helped make sure that my visit to pick up my new card went as smoothly as possible.

Lake Shiroyama will be an artificial lake attached to Honzawa Dam, which is a purely pumped-storage Shiroyama power plant facility. It seems that it is often confused with Shiroyama Dam, but Shiroyama Dam is a dam located on Lake Tsukui, so it is a bit confusing. At the time of my visit, it was in the middle of maintenance work that is carried out once every 10 years. Once all the water has been drained out, you can see the equipment at the bottom of the lake. The water here is pumped from Lake Tsukui at night and stored, so I think the water is probably close to full all year round. It may actually be a rare experience to come here for the first time and see something like this.
There are many people walking on the way to get here, so it seems to be a hiking course. The area along the railway line is beautifully landscaped with carefully crafted greenery, and is sure to be enjoyed throughout the year. When passing by by car, please slow down and enjoy the atmosphere.
Furthermore, it appears that motorcycles, except for bicycles, are prohibited from passing on the surrounding roads to Lake Shiroyama. Motorcyclists should be careful.

Since moving to Japan I try to visit here for the illumination once a year. I recommend going during cherry blossom season because the views are amazing! The themes make it all the more exciting too. I especially enjoyed the Sailor Moon theme. I recommend getting the free pass if you plan on going on multiple rides. It’s an additional ¥900. The next time I visit, I want to try the lodging and hot spring option.

The staff was very friendly and polite. Awesome customer service! But it's too expensive and, if you don't speak japanese, it'll be very hard to understand what is going on/what are you paying. I went there with my husband the last day of the light show, so we waited until it got dark to enjoy the lights and the ferris wheel, but the thing shut down before 7:30pm which was very disappointing.
The breakfast was included with the cabin rental (we paid around $55 per person), but it was a very tiny soup, sodas, coffee and bread. If you wanted to add bacon you had to pay an extra $5, so I'd definitely recommend bringing your own food (the cabin had a mini fridge).
The muscle monster looked fun! But it was closed around 3 or 4pm, so we weren't able to try it either.

*Try to bring foods. There is not much variety in foods or availability. Price is also high.
* We thought of roaming the park during day time but there is not much to see during day time in late December. However, there are some rides that are only available before 4pm such Muscles Monster.
*after evening all rides pass would be best value to see the illumination and also enjoy rides.

One of my favorite winter Illuminations. But if you are not fond of cold weather then late autumn or early spring will be the best time to visit. Even on sunny days evenings can get chilly. Rest assured that you will enjoy the view.. The amusement park is not top of the world but pretty nice to spend the day. The Snow paradise using fake snow was just a joke of snow slides.. The road from Tokyo using a car can get really congested on weekends so manage your time.

The Bonno Sagamiono mall is an indoor shopping center in Kanto, Japan with a wide range of specialty stores, a supermarket and numerous dining options. It is spacious and has everything one could need under one roof. While it may not offer anything unique compared to other Japanese cities, the mall boasts plenty of restaurants including yakiniku places that are worth exploring.

I only visit a few times a year, so when I was forced to raise the threshold of the parking lot, I ended up not going there, and actually haven't been there for two years.
I don't think there is a future for this mall if it seems to be chasing short-term profits by charging parking lots to keep customers away even though it is quiet in the first place.

The Sagamihara City Museum is an interesting museum that showcases local history with a particular emphasis on nature and astronomy. Visitors can enjoy four planetarium shows in the doom room, as well as explore the small but fascinating exhibition area which contains many intriguing exhibits. This is quite a small museum, but it's quite a rarity as it's free to enter. There are some interesting displays of the surrounding areas and models of old style buildings. There is a planetarium, which you do need to pay for, and once a month they hold a Star Party on the roof. You need to book in advance for that. On occasion, they have special exhibits which are staffed by volunteers from the local area. There isn't really a restaurant, but there is a rest space upstairs that has a couple of vending machines. There is also a small Space related exhibit near the entrance to the planetarium as well as an educational study space. It's quite a nice afternoon out, especially if you live close by.

Sagamihara Gion Stadium is an excellent location for a satisfying jog. The track measures 800m, and opting for the outer course extends the distance to 1.6km. What sets the outer course apart is its gentleness on the knees due to its wood chip surface, which provides enhanced shock absorption. However, this also means that some wood chips may find their way into your shoes.
A great place to go for a good run.
The track is 800m and the if you go on the outer course it’s 1.6km.
The good thing about the outer course is that is easier on the knees. The ground has wood chips, so more shock absorbent, but that also means a little reaction from the floor. Not to mention the wood chips going into your shoes.
If you are going by car there is a lot of parking spots available, but check the website to see if they have any events going on. When there is a soccer game, you are not allowed to park in certain areas, so you have to park a little farther.
They also have washrooms, vending machines and benches.

Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my kids to hunt for beetles, saw on Google maps it was quite bushy thinking it would be a great spot to find many bugs and things but we ended up finding out this is more of a hiking location and we ended up hiking for 3 hours. It's a decent size mountain with numerous hiking trails - some quite steep trails and some very narrow roads with step drops on both side which was quite scary especially with kids.
They have a little park kids can play and a flat area where you can lay a tent and enjoy nature. If your into hike it's also a great place to visit.

I thought so, but I still can't go home without eating the famous Omame-chan! I ordered the a la carte menu. The beans were very plump and delicious. However, I felt that the accompanying chicken wings had a weak taste and were a little tough. Also, I thought it was the chicken meatballs that came with it, but it turned out to be meatballs made with beans and miso mixed in. was. I couldn't say it was "delicious!" either. . . (It's just my personal taste, so don't take it too seriously). Everything felt bland, so I felt somehow unsatisfied. Maybe it tasted better when eaten as a set. (Translated by Google) A library directly connected to Sagami Women's University Green Hall. I heard that the book (manga) I wanted to borrow was in Hashimoto's library, so when I tried to order it, I was told that I could order regular books, but not manga. I don't know if this is a library rule in Kanagawa Prefecture, but it didn't make sense to me.

(Translated by Google) I will list some good points and some disappointing points.
good point.
The general books and children's books are on different floors, so children are less likely to make a fuss on the general books floor.
We have a large collection of books. The floor is bright.
They can order books from other libraries in the city.
There are many devices used to search for books.
It is open until 8pm.
That's a bit disappointing.
A little far from the station.
There aren't many chairs. Study room is small.
The popular book has over 100 reservations.
(I'm sure it's the same for other libraries as well)

(Translated by Google) A nice library next to a large park
I moved here last year and was very impressed.
The inside of the facility is clean and tidy, and the staff members are pleasant and polite.

(Translated by Google) Very convenient for research, etc. There is a paid parking lot next to the parking lot. Bicycle parking is small but free. Since it is near the station, it may be parked by people other than users. The reading space is small, but you can usually sit on the connected pipe chairs. The toilet is small, so take your time. There is a separate floor dedicated to infants and children. Mom might be able to take it easy.

(Translated by Google) I often borrow children's books.
It may not be necessary since it is near the station, but it would be helpful if the number of parking spaces and access were improved.
