Dramatically lit at night, this Islamic prayer & study center combines Arabian & Indonesian designs.
Beautiful mosque in Nusa Tenggara Barat, amazing architecture and the people (takmir) were really helpful and kind. They have escalators for old people, so my Moms can pray also in 2nd Floor.

Beautiful, just beautiful. This was the first ever musk I entered in my life. Some nice local man was kind enough to take us through the place when there were no ongoing prayers. This temple is gigantic, it is well maintained, and feels calm and peaceful. My Indonesian friends told me this is a good Musk for the first visit in a muslim temple. There are some rules of paying a respect which I was made aware of by my friends, but they are only written in Indonesian. Maybe try to ask around if you don't know their rules to basically respect this place that local people consider holly. It is about proper clothing, taking off your shoes, keeping silence, staying respectful and mindful of others around, and a few more.

Very beautiful architecture. Definitely worth it. In addition: I walked into the praying room and sat down. Ended up joining a prayer (I am not a religious person). The people were really kind and let me join. Awesome experience!

Massive and a wonderful mosque in the heart of Mataram Lombok, yet it seems less maintained and not well managed. You cannot visit the tower nowadays because it was damaged after the earthquake and the elevator still does not work. You can go by stairs with someone of their staff, we found them to be very reluctant to accompany us and you are not allowed to go along
The praying area is impressive, well decorated but not well ventilated, even at night prayers (Isha) with all fans running, it become very hot, congested and uncomfortable very quickly.
The number of toilets and washing area (wudu) are very limited, dark and not clean (the same goes for men and women)
This might be my personal preference, but after prayers, they do dikar loudly on mic/speakers making it difficult to concentrate for people who join later or just want to pray and concentrate.

This a wonderfull mosque in Mataram Lombok. Immense & peacefull and located in strategic place. First time Jum'at praying in this place and it's very comfort.

It's not 24 hours opened. Staffs will close the main area right on 7 AM and will reopen on 11 AM. I feel like there's an invisible sign stating 'This shrine is temporarily closed for giving Him time to rest'. That's the annoying aspect of this masjid.
It's not clean enough and not well-managed as you can see in my pictures. Yet, the building is quite rather new. That's poor, since most Moslems love to pray and spend their time here. There are short sermons and religious talks right after Subuh prayer and Maghrib prayer.
It's like an abandoned building. Local government ignores it. Clean, but still needs renovations here and there.

they have cheap yet nice massaging chairs everywhere. they have amazing cinema and lots lots of restaurants to hangout after done shopping with your buddies or family (this place isn't really fun to roam around alone) you can buy pretty much everything here, electronics, furniture, clothes, etc. they have one arcade, which is 'okay' not amazing but some of them the arcade machines were pretty cool! some cafes exist there as well. they have musholla inside for muslims to pray. the place is huge, so the only downside for me is, sometimes it could be too crowded, and the prices are a bit over for my personal budget, BUT i do think the quality of its products and services mostly are worth the money.

One of the biggest and most complete malls in the city of Mataram, the name is Lombok Epicentrum Mall. Many choices of products and places for shopping and entertainment with the family.
Visiting this place happened during the fasting month, so the appearance of many culinary places was closed or covered with cloth on the open side visible from the outside. It can be said that Lombok residents who are religious still carry out fasting. There is even a competition to read the holy verses of the Alquran and there is a jury or assessment team. Many residents sit casually in open areas or mall aisles to wait for the breaking of the fast.
This mall is very large and complete, providing all the needs of customers and creating a pleasant shopping or entertainment experience. During the month of Ramadan, there are many special discounts for clothing products. Products from foreign and local brands are here. Plus, the wide selection of restaurants and entertainment makes it the ideal place to spend a whole day with family and friends.
Overall, Lombok Epicentrum Mall is a must-visit destination for those looking for a complete and enjoyable shopping experience in Lombok.

Pura Narmada, located on the highland of Narmada Park in Mataram city, is a Hindu temple with ancient architecture. It is renowned for its holy water and Bale Terang or Light House, where the Kings used to enjoy the view of Telaga Wangi while their concubines played in the water. The temple is situated alongside Narmada Park, and from its exterior one can witness the Bale Terang's magnificence.

Experience the mystical beauty of Bali in Lombok. Visit Pura Kaweri, Narmada!
Gandari is a small Balinese village occupied by less than 100 families who mostly are a part of the Narmada Temple guardian community. The people of Gandari consistently keep practicing the ancient traditions of Balinese Hindu in their daily life.
As most of the Balinese Hindu villages, Gandari also has its own temple called Kaweri 'means; The Sacred River'. .
Situated right next door to the Hindu historical site Narmada Water Palace, Pura Kaweri maybe just a small temple compared to many other temples in Lombok but is quite an interesting place to visit.
Surrounded by lush green vegetations, hundreds of years old Banyan trees, scenic rice terraces and number of springwater pools, Pura Kaweri offers true essences of a peaceful natural retreat.
If you have ever thought of finding a place in Lombok that looks a bit like the Tirta Empul in Bali, then Pura Kaweri is the perfect match to your search.

Located just down from the main road. A beautiful place especially in the morning. Because it is a temple, please be respectful when visiting the area.
There are some banyan trees which make the area looks cool and mythical. Keep walking to the rice field, the view is pretty just before you walk into the inner gate. There are some ponds and berugags to sit and relax.
The place has so much water. Local can bath in the running pond covering themselves in yellow clothes that have been provided near by. So clear, fresh and cool.
There are some local selling food & drink in the parking

Pura Lingsar, the largest temple complex in Lombok, was constructed by King Anak Agung Ngurah in 1714 and is situated amidst picturesque rice fields. The compound houses two separate temples catering to the Balinese Hindu community (Pura Gaduh) and followers of Wektu Telu religion. Went there few time to have our favourite “ikan bakar with pelecing” and also my all time favourite “jagung bakar” with sweet and spicy sauce.. also a nice place to watch sunset while having your “kopi hitam”.. nice memories.
The place is for local to gather to spend the evening and relaxing. Playing, walking by the beach or sit to watch the sun set.
Not so spectacular but we really love the place. There are place for children to play, kolam pancing. So many food and snack to choose from.
Grilled Sweetcorn, dougnat, pastel etc. Urap, pelecing, sate seafood and sate baduk/usus and many kind seafood to choose from. Many stall to sit. Away from the beach where we are safe from the wind or just by the beach...you can get the splash from the wave .
The sunset here is pretty. One of the reason to come.
There is nice clean mushalla to pray if you want to stay longer but do not want to miss magrib.

I went to this beach several times. In the morning for light sport, fresh air, enjoy the beauty of the old buildings and the busy-lazy activities all around the beach in the morning, in the evening to watch the sun as it goes down to the horizon and of course the various culinary delights around the old city area.
One of my favorite culinary is nasi kuning (tumeric rice) Ampenan. Best nasi kuning in mataram. 👍
Even though I've enjoyed my times there, i really think that the beach needs to cleaned up, tidied up n better laid up, but i guess it'll up to the local government to make it happen.

The State Museum of West Nusa Tenggara offers an impressive collection of traditional Indonesian arts and crafts, as well as wedding costumes. It provides a comprehensive overview of the history, culture, geology, and wildlife of the region. The displays are tourist-friendly with English information provided. If you are interested, it's interesting.
When we went on a Saturday on our arrival at 11:30 a class of about 60 kids just left.
We had the museum completely quiet to ourselves.
About half an hour later, the next bus load of students arrived and suddenly we where part of the attraction. It was not quiet at all anymore 😉.
Another 15 minutes later a group picture with the class wrapped things up at the museum.

- Cheap entry.
- Good learning place for elementary students, as long as you give explanation about the stuffs there.
- Small place but surprisingly has a lot of collection, pretty well-preserved. There are also bilingual texts (Bahasa Indonesia and English) in each section, giving names of eact artifact and sometimes short explanation.
Overall it was a fun visit, spent around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. Was definitely amused to see the "mysticism" section, they have amulets/ talismans and even a fortune-telling stone.
If you love history and have extra time, I recommend the visit to this place.

The Museum Negeri Nusa Tenggara Barat, located at Jl. Panji Tilar Negara No.6, Taman Sari, Kec. Ampenan, Kota Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Bar. 83117, is a delightful destination for those interested in the rich history and culture of Lombok. This museum is a treasure trove of cultural artifacts, including fossils, prehistoric tools, musical instruments, and pottery, which are beautifully displayed and labeled in both Indonesian and English. The exhibits are not only educational but also aesthetically pleasing, making it a perfect place for both locals and tourists to learn about the region's past and present.
One of the highlights of the museum is its pretty garden, which offers a serene environment to relax and reflect on the exhibits. This garden adds a touch of tranquility to the museum experience, making it a great place to unwind after exploring the various displays.
However, it's worth noting that the museum closes early most days, so it's advisable to plan your visit early in the day unless you're there on a Friday. This can be a bit inconvenient for those who prefer to visit in the afternoon or evening, but it's a small price to pay for the opportunity to immerse oneself in the region's history and culture.
In summary, the Museum Negeri Nusa Tenggara Barat is a must-visit for anyone interested in Indonesian history and culture. Its well-curated exhibits, combined with the peaceful garden, make it a memorable experience that offers both educational value and relaxation.

The museum is brilliant, I mean it. However, I give 3 stars for couple of reasons. You can scan barcodes that send you to a blog with audio guide, wonderful for my Indonesian friends. No English available. There are sensible, well tailored descriptions of items and culture that explained to me things that in 5+ years of living in Indonesia no Indonesian was capable to explain to me (something unknown to me in Europe where people know their own history and can give you a small guided walk through their city at any time). There are only written descriptions in English but they are sufficient, yet reading obviously takes time. It would be totally fine if not the fact that it was SO DRAMATICALLY HOT and no air conditioning machine or even simple fan was turned on. The non-movong boiling hot air made me want quit just 20% through the exposition, and a few minutes later we just run away from the heat, all sweated from head to toes. I'd stay there for 2 hours because I was learning precious things, but I couldn't take the heat!

The worst place ever! Don’t waste ur time and money here!! To be honest there is nothing here and all are empty!!!
At the entrance, you will be stopped by this one man (I name him conned man) Bcos he appear in the same picture by other reviewers. Yes he will demand from you at least IDR50K for two!
Bloody lazy guy and talk low about Muslim religion to the Hindu. He demanded for the money so called for the grass cutter of the temple area! I asked him why I need to pay for the temple? His answer was simple that the government doesn’t help the Hindu population due to minority at Lombok! So the visitors or foreigners have to pay to help them!
Though in ur conversion rate, IDR50K for two is little, please consider not to give him. Go to the minimum of 5k- 10k each! If he charged more, there’s no regret ur not going inside as there is none there! I repeat, it’s none!
Please consider ur choice in the itinerary!

I'd give this zero stars if I could as there are teo people at the entrance of this temple who would try to scam you. The start at 50,000 IDR and when you tell them Google reviews said it was cheaper, they'll go on and tell you upgrades were done to the gates and all the money goes to fixing the temple. I didn't buy it so I left, then when I came by again they offered 20,000 IDR. Needless to say these people are there to scam you.

After reading that entrance is free, or at least by the donation as other temples, we were met by an annoying person selling the respect belt for 20000 and sending bad karma on you if you refuse to buy one 😀 we didn’t go in
Jurate Ramoskiene — Google review
Looked like an abandoned temple, they were no people apart from two of us. You have touts outside who would charge you 20k per person for entry without any ticket being issued. Inside the temple as well you have only 3 shrines . You have far more beautiful temples than this , better to avoid it.

The Griya Lombok is a remarkable establishment, being the sole Paper House in existence. Its unique art gallery is truly awe-inspiring and brimming with creativity. The furniture, including tables and chairs, as well as the roof and exquisite sculptures, are all crafted using nearly 100% recycled paper. This exceptional masterpiece sits conveniently near Penghulu Agung beach, easily accessible via Google maps.
It's an outstanding place! I have to say this is the only one Paper House in the world!
Never saw this kind of art gallery before. So inspiring & beautiful place full of art. Tables, chairs, roof and beautiful statues are made from nearly 100% of waste paper !! What an incredible masterpiece!
Located near the Penghulu Agung beach, easy access to get there, just follow the Google maps. Their 2nd floor is facing to the beach & rice fields at the same time. Good breeze, friendly owners & family who lives there.

Amazing place where you can learn how to recycle your paper into an art. You will never imagine before you see it. The owner, Mr. Teo , very humble and welcome everyone who wanna learn or just visit. Every corner at this place are instagramable, you can take picture freely. I love spending my time over there, so much fun. I highly recommend this place as one of your holiday destination (if you were a tourist 😁)

Been visited my friend's wedding in here, its pretty cool place you can decide as your wedding ceremony bcs it has good enough scenery.. but it is need more renovation on the main place as the couple bride sits bcs it looks so old and brittle, some of the roof are broken. But one that catching my eye is the aisle, the red carpet compare with the blue pool is looks so amazing..
Overall is nice bcs the place is wide enough to accommodate all your guests.

Needed to find a proper pool to do a swim session and this was great. Local Muslim ladies were totally relaxed about my cultural insensitivity of wearing speedos 😆😂

Pool is good, water was clean, toilets and amenities are old and need an overhaul. Pool is long enough to swim and also have a shallow area on the side for kids. The restaurant serves coffee / tea and look get snack, haven't tried anything else.

Nice place to swim. The depth is just right. Its not crowded on weekdays, which is nice.
Its not really spacious, so i wont really recomended it on weekend. Also, the changing room is a bit creepy.
Yattchy — Google review
The pool is clean, and it's empty.
But the bathroom is very dirty, there's no water to wash my body after swimming.

Mayura Park is a must-visit destination in Mataram, offering visitors an opportunity to relax amidst the natural beauty of trees and ponds. Situated near several other attractions including the Pura Mayura Hindu temple, it's a great spot for tourists looking to immerse themselves in local culture. While having a guide can enhance the experience with detailed explanations of the park's features, visitors seeking peace and quiet can still enjoy its serene atmosphere on their own.
Ancient Hindus temple was built by Balinese Karangasems King at 16th century's. Located at Cakranegara, right at Eastern Mataram City. There's a huge pond and large gazebos stand at middle that used to for a meeting venue by the king.

The park has some history, nice temple inside. Tickets are sold and respect belts are given properly. 20 K per person.
Jurate Ramoskiene — Google review
Ok to visit. Try to get in cheap because it isn't a great place. They were having a bird singing contest and that was cool. But not worth $10 per person.
John Perdigao — Google review
The place itself is quite and not bad. But same as everywhere they like to scam tourists who have to pay 20.000 each for entrance. If it was not that expensive it would worth a look if you are around.

Clean and comfortable place for groceries shopping. Quite complete stuff for daily needs, but the price is little bit expensive than other groceries place. The advantages of this place is in the meat container which provide lot of kind of meat, fish, and seafood.

Excellent food shopping and alcohol. You can get all European cheeses, steak, salmon and olives. Very high quality fruit and vegetables. It’s a little bit pricey but a one stop shop.
Peter Mckinnon — Google review
It's expensive, but if you know what you want and don't mind paying for it, it's awesome. One of the best meat/fish counters on the island and one of the few places with a lot of imported foods

Great selection of items that hard to get in Indonesia, but the name of the shop does not match the fresh produce ,each time I've used this shop or it's name sake in seniggigi fresh produce has been rotten, fruit, chicken and fresh coconut water all smelt awful when opened at home and all still within consumption date ,my last visit I had to throw away to the value of 700,000 IDR ,this really is bad, either they change the sake by date to keep old stock or there storage method needs reviewing . items in jars or packets are all great and good selection, but there storage and selling of Fresh items needs to be learnt again .

Good range of local and imported products. Occasionally run out of stock, which is understandable, especially with imports, but, overall very good. Could be improved by selling wine/spirits like the one in sengiggi.

Spiritual place for Hindus, it's nice but not very extravagat or beautiful. It's quite simple. They have many monkey there and you can climb up the stairs to a small temple on the top of the mountain. It has a nice view.
