This is a historical place in Korea. In the past, they used to offer prayers to the sea gods here at this rock. Now, they turned it into a park and a viewpoint to see the coast snd nearby districts of Ulsan.
Fromt the parking lot, there's a short hike to the rock. The view during the hike is beautiful. They built a bridge to connect the rocks and you can get really nice photos.
There are several tables and benches to relax or have a picnic.

Glorious park, with an abundance to see and explore. Suspension bridge was a little scary, swaying in the forceful wind, but an incredibly impressive feat of engineering. The cliffs and crashing water line against the shimmering sea in the background, breathing in fresh air. A gaggle of free diving ajummas down some stairs, serving up their fresh catches on makeshift stoves, with guests sitting on makeshift stools around boards as tables. A family of cute cats running around at the top of the stairs enjoying life and escaping from curious tourists.

One of the most impressive places I have visited in Korea. Especially seeing the sunrise from there, it is beautiful. A unique experience that I will never forget. The dawn of the new year is very cold, so I recommend bringing a good coat, gloves and everything you can think of. However the experience is never to be forgotten. They also have activities during the night and lasts until the next day. It is a very happy and fun holiday.
I would like to review the Tarhwagang Bamboo forest Park in Ulsan City, which is an iconic and beautiful park located in the heart of Ulsan. This 843-acre park is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city.
One of the most striking features of Bamboo Forest Park is its diverse landscape, which includes open meadows, wooded areas, lakes, and gardens. This is a great place to visit anytime of the day or night. If you are going for a morning walk there are exercise machines to use not far from the lake. Also there are places to sit down and have a picnic with the family on the weekend. There are some stalls located at the entrance of the park. And on the other side of the lake. Great places for photos. There's a windmill there. Also if you keep walking through the park there's a very good war memorial with some old military aircraft and tanks. A must see is the main memorial really a good place for remembrance. If in Ulsan this is a MUST see park.

Pleasant and extensive park if you are looking to do a leisurely tour, and not for activities or buzz. The highlight for us was the colourful plaza of flowers in bloom.
The Taehwagang National Garden features a picturesque landscape of wooded areas, meadows, and fields of barley with pathways that wind alongside the river and through tall stands of bamboo. It's an ideal location for families to enjoy a leisurely stroll, soak up some sun, and embrace nature. The garden is adjacent to the Ulsan skyline and has plans for a pedestrian bridge over the river.
One of the most beautiful park that I have ever visited. The park is so large, you can find several beautiful flower gardens, pink muhly grass, water fountain, and also experience visit the bamboo forest! very recommended place to go with family with kids and elderly. No idea under what festival this park is now, 2022.05.22, but this National Garden Park always becomes super beautiful with various decorations and plant works. Sun rays a shot to our head and neck, but the hot sun, with green leaves and smells and flowers, makes feel fresh and alive with sense of summer almost here. Under a stone bridge from the Garden Park to Bamboo forests, the swamp looks like it is breeding its own eco system underneath water grass since I can see some birds landing on the surface to dive to grap fish with vivid sound splashing. The entire district of this place is beautiful awesome.

This garden is a great place to soak in the sun and take a stroll with your family. There is plenty of nature with the river, the bamboo forest, and the garden, all in one place neighboring the Ulsan skyline! Supposedly they’re building a pedestrian bridge to walk across said river. There’s a few vendors selling snacks and you can rent bicycles if that’s your thing. Parking can get tough on the weekend so we took a taxi instead.

The Jangsaengpo Whale Museum in Ulsan is a small museum that showcases the history of the Korean whaling industry through various artifacts, fossils, and children's activities. Although there are no explanations available in English or Chinese, visitors can still enjoy viewing whale models and photos. In addition to the museum, there are also several restaurants outside that serve whale meat. For those interested in marine life, the museum has an aquarium with dolphins and other fish on display.
The shorefront of Ulsan city hosts a delightful museum offering a must-watch Dolphin show thrice daily. Early arrival is advisable due to the quickly filling seats. Adjacent is the whale museum, providing insightful details on whales and historical commercial whaling. Perfect for kids, it stands as a top attraction in Ulsan. Additionally, a stroll along the wharf after visiting these museums adds to the overall experience.

Whale Museum is part of the Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village, where you can spend half of the day doing different things. The museum has 3 floors and is mostly focused on the history of whaling in Korea with real examples of different specimens of whales. Everything is in Korean, but you can get the information before visiting. Interesting complex of museum's, old whaling boat, cultural village, tram ride, old battleship, whale Watching tours, and other small areas of interest. We went when they had their annual "Whaling Festival" so there was live entertainment, beer festival, food festival and other items for children. There is onsite parking and small admission fee for some areas. Look in pictures and you can see a price list. About half of the display boards in the museum only have Korean storyboards that explain the whales, cultural tie in and so forth. That being said little children may be bored. But, to peak their interest their is a long slide that they can use to go from the third floor to the second where the exit is. The whaling boat is free to go on and just outside the entrance to the Museum. Also in the immediate area is the whale watching tours and entrance to the overhead Tram Ride to the cultural village. It is 1.6 km long and very interesting. You purchase tickets for a time slot and then come back to the area at the appropriate time and wait. Overall it was an interesting experience.

Seuldo Lighthouse, located on a tranquil island connected by a footbridge, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and provides an opportunity to observe local fishermen in action. The lighthouse itself is a stunning structure, and the journey to reach it is as captivating as the destination. Visitors can enjoy a serene walk with the soothing sound of waves breaking the stillness. Nearby coffee shops offer traditional snacks for a quick bite.
We went on a windy day but even then the view was sensational, utterly beautiful. They have a little museum where you can try out some art on whales, take pictures and try a stringed digital instrument, or go all the way to the roof of the museum to soak in some of the views from there before heading back down towards the lighthouse, spending some time on the rocks near there, the lighthouse is unmanned so there's no way to go all the way inside and up, but you can definitely still have a wholesome full experience of the area, there is another tiny lighthouse not too far form the main attraction worth a look before heading back to spend some time at the cafe within the museum for a relaxing afternoon with the sound of waves

But I must say about he uniforms they have limited sizes for female foreigners 😔 the skirt barely fit me and the upper part I couldn't even close it. That's my only complain. Other than that I really recommend going 👍🏻
If you ever happen to be in Ulsan, definitely check out Ulsan Young Street, a place booming with stores, restaurants, stalls, markets and much more. You can get a very good meal for cheap here, same with clothes, decorations, or you can just have fun at the bowling alley or karaoke.
