Situated on Mount Nhỏ, the Jesus Christ Statue in Asia is an impressive pilgrimage destination. It took over 20 years to build and stands at a height of 32-meters. Visitors can climb up through a narrow staircase that leads to the shoulder of the statue, offering views from both sides. There are two ways to reach it - a stairway from the park side and a gravel path from Pigs Hill side.
812 steps, but we'll worth the trek to the top.
Lots of stopping places with benches and bible story statues.
A few cafes on the way up. Two big cannons at the top, pretty amazing.
At the top is incredible views. And lots of seating to cool you down. Got so sweaty, but worth it!

Impressive statue, with an entrance at the back to a narrow, and narrower stairway up to the statue shoulder, with a very small look out both sides. Note, there is the stairway from the park side and also a gravel path from the Pigs Hill side. Sadly, the litter all around does not make me feel proud. "không xả rác. giữ cho Việt Nam trong sạch!".

Be sure to cover your shoulders or they will not allow you to visit. Also they say you cannot take in a drink. It's a beautiful restful place. There are over 800 steps and you can walk right up to the arms of the Statue of Jesus

You have to more than 800 steps, but you probably enjoy good view, peaceful atmosphere and much sense of love for Christ and humanity

Loved it! Good exercise but def worth it. You get a real nice view of the city and the coast. Would be amazing to catch the sunset/sunrise from up there. Statue is completely free to visit. Staff is very helpful. Wear decent clothes :)

The views from the Christ worth the effort of climbing the mountain. +800 steps but took me less than 20 min. There are plenty places to rest if you need it with great views. It is a consider as a temple, so to get into the statue you must wear clothes covering your knees and arms, the entrance is barefoot as in most of the temples in Asia.

Wonderful view on city and ocean from the top of the hill. It become even more exciting view from top of the statue. Climbing to hill top in itself is a unique experience. Having tree by stair give big relief from hot sun.
Only thing I wonder, what cannons doing by the side of Jesus Christ Status?

When you are in a good physical condition it's absolutely worth the walk to this statue. There are 2 roads, one starting at the beach and one starting at the village. The one from the village is more rough but the nature and views are spectacular. The reward when arriving at the top is a marvellous view at the coast and nearby city

Yes you must come visit here 👍🏻 Tiring but worth it. Be prepared to walk up 811 steps 😅

My uncle took me up here. After quite a bit of climbing up the stairs, we made it! When we arrived at the statue, I went inside. Interesting. Great views!

Great view. 800+ steps to reach the top. You can actually go up to Jesus Statue. Please wear appropriate clothes else you will be bar from entering.
Signed up a day trip via klook. Its worth a visit and great exercise to burn off the calories from 🌯🥗🍻

Jesus's statues is a symbol of Christianity, however Vietnamese majority worship Buddha. So is amazing for me to see Jesus statues in Vũng Tàu. I went on a tour to Vũng Tàu with my academy and parents.. lovely experience.

Highly recommend place to visit in Vung Tau! You will enjoy an amazing walk up and down to the top of Jesus Christ Statue all the way to his holy’s shoulder level for a beautiful panorama view. The stairways are wide and shallow which is perfect for kids to adults. Best time to visit is early morning for colder weather and avoid crowds.
Please be sure to bring a full bottle of water in a reusable bottle because you will want to drink it along the way. Be sure to bring cash money for donation box to support maintenance expenses because there is no fee to enter. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing ( no sleeveless or short skirt for women) and no hat/shoes allowed inside the statue.
Although there are “no smoking” signs but people don’t read, follow, or enforce this rule. I encountered many men smoking cigarettes during our rest stops and at the top which was very disturbing and difficult to breathe. There were coffee shops and souvenirs shops there, but we brought our water in reusable bottles. There was a staff cleaning the stairways and many trash cans full of empty plastic bottles (not sure they were be recycled).
Everyone needs to do his/her part to reduce plastic waste and keep this amazing place clean and preserved for many more generations to enjoy worth shipping and be at peace. Reuse, reduce, recycle every chance you can, THANK YOU!

First time at Vung Tau and this is the only attraction I came for. A total of 811 steps to the top from the entrance where the cab will drop you off. Note that the entry to the statue (after all the steps) will end at 1630. The last entry is 1615. Climb of 811 steps is pretty easy. There are many rest stops. About 30 mins one way - leisurely. No need tickets. Note that this is considered sacred ground - so be respectful and dress appropriately.

We can climb up through the statue and reach the arms of Christ. The view from there is stunning. There are nearly 1000 steps to climb, but do not worry the steps are very small (around 6 inch height).

Pretty great view from inside the statue. Would suggest drinking enough water before arriving as they don't allow you to bring your water on the walk. It is 600 steps to the top, and it was hot. You can buy a drink or ice cream up there.

Saw big JC. The hike took about 45 minutes going from the village. The scenery on the way up is incredible. Definitely bring a water bottle and wear SPF 50 MINIMUM.
You can climb into the statue but you do have to be wearing trousers and modest clothing.
Here’s a cool video I took.

For everyone considering to visit the statue, I would recommend walking up from the town. It has some amazing nature to enjoy! Than you can walk back down by the stairs and see the other side as well.
The view from the top of the statue is amazing. I was veeery windy on the day I visited. Hold tight of your smartphone.
You are not allowed the take your backpack up with you. As a solotraveler with nobody to take turns in going up, a bit of a bad feeling. I took at least my walled and my passport with me.
Also you have to put off your shoes and hats, no foods and drinks, and apprioriate clothes.

Visited Christ statue in vietnam. Could climb up to the shoulder of the statue. A wonderful experience. Did not get tired climbing the steps. Had nice resting places in between. The view up the statue was awesome.
Dr Anitha Dilip — Google review
Dont be scared of the 800 steps. the steps here are half the size of what you considered a normal "steps". and the wind will keep you cool all the way up, so just headup to jesus, he will reward you with beautiful scenery along the way, plenty of spaces to take a break mid way, there must be like 4 or 5 spots every 300 steps 😂 with water and ice shop. A prominent must go spot / location to check in Vung Tau.
p/s: Jeus is so cool with 2 giants cannon next to his feet. 🗿

It was wonderful. The depiction of the stories in the gardens were very well done. Had stunning views. There are a fair number of stairs, but it is worth it to reach the top of the hill.

Incredible place. Not for everyone, as there are 811 steps to climb, then another 150 narrow steps inside the statue. But if you manage to go all the way up, you come out on the Christ arms and it's stunning to be up there. Worth ecery step and all the sweat
The Worldwide Arms Museum is a fascinating collection of military artifacts from various countries and time periods. The exhibits feature mannequins dressed in authentic uniforms and equipped with weapons and helmets, allowing visitors to learn about global military history. The collection includes items from the French Colonial period, Vietnam War, Chinese, European, Zulu cultures, as well as 16th-19th-century weaponry. Robert Taylor has spent 50 years curating the display with impressive attention to detail.
I had a great experience when visiting the museum. The museum is organized well by ages of weapons, equipments. In there, the intructors who tell the real history stories happened within the period of time the weapons have been made and used.
The picture is one of unique the two guns still existed in the world.

This is a wonderful experience, a lot of model and real clothes (I guess), I've been playing a lot of war games and thus is the first time I have the chance to see it eye-to-eye, from the viking era to ww2, even 80-90s clothes and weapons, I sneaked a bit to touch a real MG42, man, you don't know how happy I am! (You shouldn't touch it btw, but I couldnt help it), I didnt know RPD was so light and versatile, wow, just... Amazing!

It was a nice and educational experience for both kids and adults. Our family had a great time exploring and learning how it was before in European countries. A place with various collection of weapons. Not sure if those displays are the real thing or just the replica. But anyway, the place makes people think of that how mankind is mastered in killing each other by enhancing technology in different eras. Just hope that the world could be a better place without war.
By the way, ticket was charged with 70K VND. There are 4 exhibition buildings and some have air-con, some don't have. If you really don't know where to visit in Vung Tau, here's a good place to kill time.

Pro: clean toilet onboard, water and rice cracker are distributed and spacious seat with food view.
Con: the ferry arrived 15 minutes later than its 2 pm so I had bare minimum time to explore Vung Tau as I had 3pm ferry to go back. Yes, I took that risk so it is partially my fault too. Anyway, the onboard wifi wasn’t working at all, wet tissues weren’t fairly distributed to every passenger, only half of them had it.
Considering the return ticket from HCMC to Vungtau, Vungtau to HCMC; cost 620k VND. I would expect a better service or at least something they advertised especially the time arrival and wifi.

The ferry was fine but we purchased our tickets online and it wasn't clear on the tickets or anywhere in the area where the check in booth was or if we had to exchange our confirmation for tickets. The Front Beach is a compact stretch of sandy shoreline, accompanied by boats and a well-liked park and boardwalk. Although the beach may be small, it still provides ample space for visitors to enjoy the surrounding area. The promenade offers an enjoyable walking experience, while the beach itself is busy but not overcrowded, making it perfect for a refreshing dip in the clean waters. During evenings, this location provides an excellent atmosphere to relax in with cheap street food available nearby.
Small beach, but good enough for me, lovely promenade to walk along and beach was busy but not packed so pleasant enough to take a dip in the very cool and clean waters.
Nice.

Front beach has it all. Although rather small there are so many great things to discover over there. Especially the park with statues is absolutely worth a visit. Fishermen along the beach are selling their fresh goods to families and shop owners. The sea is rather rough what invites surfers to demonstrate their sports.

Nice area with a quaint beach and green, clean park. Front Beach was significantly cleaner than Back Beach when I visited on February 10, 2024. If you also want to get away from the worst of the wind and waves, Front Beach sits back enough in a cove to not be nearly as affected as Back Beach is in those conditions.
Very small sandy area at high tide but still several families out and enjoying it. The park around Front Beach is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for picnics.

Unfortunately the quality of the water and cleanliness of the beach are rapidly degrading. Ho Chi Minh has too much untreated sewage going into the river which ends up in Front Beach and all the surrounding areas. There is no way locally to control this until the powers that be in Saigon make a change.
It has great potential but don't let the pretty pictures fool you, right now I wouldn't swim in that water!

Front Beach is one of my favourite spots on Vung Tau Island. The French had a more romantic name for this idyllic small beach, Coconut Bay.
Early mornings are special. Take your camera. The small fishing boats have returned from the night's fishing, and you will see the wives and family helping load the night's catch onto motorcycles, to rush them to the morning fish markets. Take plenty of photos, but do not get in the way.
Evenings on the beach are more relaxed and Front Beach becomes the typical tropical beach.
Fishermen slowly prepare for another night at sea.
Once the sun has set, and most people have left, you might be lucky enough to watch the owl couple hunt on the waterline.

Visited this place recently. As beaches go its relatively under developed with only a few non descript refreshment places and a little bit of seafood going on. A few things to note there can be a little bit of litter around, not sure if that just washed up or people left it behind. Garbage bins are few and far between which is not good either. The sand itself is OK and comfortable to walk on ,very little by way of pebbles, stones or obstructions. The sea never seems to be blue here as we see in other exotic locations, rather its a murky colour, however the currents and waves are strong which might explain lots sand constantly rising to the surface and to create this colour. Not sure if it's safe to swim much more than 10 metres out because of the strong currents. Vung Tao beach is somewhere you might come once, and then try other beaches in Vietnam. It took us just over 2 hours by Grab taxi from Ho Chi Minh City to reach here at the cost of 1.1 million vnd. (Approximately £43) each way. We arranged with our driver for him to wait for us and we would pay the same for the return journey, which he was more than happy to do.

Front Beach in Vung Tau is undeniably beautiful with its picturesque coastline and stunning views. During my visit,
However, it's important to note that the water cleanliness was not up to the desired standard during my visit. Despite the beach's natural beauty, the water quality left something to be desired. While this aspect was a downside, the overall ambiance and scenic beauty of the beach still made it a worthwhile visit.
If efforts are made to improve the water cleanliness, Front Beach in Vung Tau could easily become an even more popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering not just beauty but also a cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy."
The Hồ Mây Park Vũng Tàu resort hotel is an amusement park situated within reach by cable car. It boasts of man-made lakes, swan boats, rides and a place to stay. The park is well-suited for younger kids (up to 8-10 years), yet some attractions do not work due to age. It is an ideal destination for a family day out as there are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy, including adults and children alike.
Ho May Park in Vung Tau is a hidden gem with lots of character and a classic feel. Perched on the tallest hill in the city, it offers breathtaking views. The alpine coaster is comparable, if not better, than the one in Tahoe. The ziplining and challenging obstacle course are must-try activities. The tubing slide, paintball, and archery sections are also great fun. All these attractions are included in the admission price. On less busy days, you can enjoy multiple rides without any wait times. The park's nature reserve offers a close encounter with animals. While it may need renovation, I still had a great experience. You can reach the park by motorbike or cable car. At 400k Vietnamese dong ($16 USD), it's worth every penny. Visit this hidden gem in Vung Tau.

The ride up on the cable car is great. It’s a large park with heaps of stuff. However, many things not working. Very low on staff. One staff member operating 3 kids rides. Cleanliness of toilets very poor. This was obviously a big investment in its time. Unfortunately it is quite neglected now. We were there on a busy long weekend, but still hardly any staff and many rides not operating. Food outlets were not clean and not so good. They must of lost a lot of money during Covid lockdowns, which is sad. I hope they get some reinvestment back into the place before it just closes down.
C C — Google review
Although 50% of the attractions were open it was brilliant; though smaller in scale than many European fun parks. Very few people there so queuing if any was only a few minutes.
If you’ve children keep a close eye on them as there are many risks eg. An unused, unsupervised, woodland attraction which can be wandered into and climbed. Apart from the risk of falling, there was a broken walkway.
The Alpine Coaster is brilliant fun and you can go FAST!
The decayed elements add even more scope for photographers.
The drop tower was exhilarating.
If you go with an open mind and don’t compare to larger, western parks you’ll have a great time!

Let me preface this by saying Hồ Mây Park wasn't bad, not at all. The idea is fantastic - a giant amusement park nestled in the mountains with city views? Sign me up! But there were just a few things that kept it from being a slam dunk.
The park itself is beautiful. The mountain air was cool and refreshing, a welcome change from the Vung Tau heat. The cable car ride to the top was scenic, and offered a great view of the sprawling city below. We even saw a glimpse of the ocean!
Once up top, though, the park felt a bit scattered. There were some definite highlights - the Alpine Coaster was a blast, and the zipline offered some amazing thrills. The downside was that some of the other rides seemed a little run down, and there weren't a ton of options for young kids. The water park area, which I was really looking forward to, was surprisingly small.
Overall, Hồ Mây Park was a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if you're looking for some adrenaline pumping activities. However, if you're expecting a world-class theme park experience, you might be a little disappointed. For me, it was a 3 out of 5 stars.

Back Beach, also known as Bai Sau, is a popular destination in Vung Tau known for its stunning landscape and clear blue waters. With its three-kilometer-long crescent of golden sand, shallow waters, and gentle waves suitable for all ages, visitors can enjoy various water activities or simply unwind on the shore.
The Back Beach is amazing! I have come here many times and this place never disappoints me. The view is awesome and there are not much rocks so you can freely swim without worrying about the rocks. The water is clean and both warm and cool, the waves aren't too big and the sounds are super satisfying, plus the water isn't too deep in the close areas so you don't need to worry about drowning. This beach is an excellent spot for a great vacation! I really enjoy my time here and I hope you will!

I was quite shocked how dirty this beach is.
A lot of trash all over. Some of it I’m sure is because of how windy it is this weekend (February 10, 2024) but it’s not enjoyable to walk around without shoes or sit in the sand. Water was very rough with big waves during my visit so I didn’t get in the water myself but there were a lot of families there enjoying their time.
Sun beds and umbrellas are scattered about the length of the beach for use.
Maybe on a better weather day the beach would look nicer.
Anna R — Google review
I’d say bring a beach towel to claim a plot of land without paying the old ladies 100k a chair/umbrella. Maybe avoid the food as well as there are better options inland just 500+ meters or so. The water here is cool but not cold. Very refreshing but if you’re an inexperienced swimmer beware the strong winds cause large waves and there is quite a strong tide as well beneath the water. Take care as there are no lifeguards to save you. However all this aside, the water does not get very deep and you can walk back to shore easily and enjoy the balmy breeze 🌬️ overall nice beach!

Not sure if this beach is indicative of all beaches in Vietnam (I hope not) but it is shamefully polluted with trash (garbage, rubbish whatever your word is). I say shamefully because the sand under the trash is actually a beautiful powder. I'm sure the majority of the trash comes from the Mekong and HCMH River deltas but regardless it's tragically bad. Don't believe any picture (photo shopped) you see showing beautiful white sand and blue ocean!! We stayed here for 3 weeks and the collosal amount of garbage never changed. Book a place with a pool because you won't swim or hang out here.

I came here in January 2024. Unfortunately the beach and the adjacent buildings aren’t well maintained.
First, on the beach itself you will find a lot of litter and the water is foaming and oily in some areas.
Along the road next to the beach, there are plenty of buildings which aren’t utilized and therefore maintained anymore.
Overall I was heavily disappointed by the experience of the back beach.

Back Beach is the most popular beach on Vung Tau Island. During low tide, the beach front can be more than 100 metres wide. That tells you that the water is relatively shallow for quite a distance.
Some diehards surfers manage to catch the occasional surfable wave.
Back Beach is much longer than the tourist strip. It starts at The Point (near Old Woman Island) and continues all the way to the Co May River, which separates the island from the mainland. I have tried walking it a few times, but the tide has always beaten me. The end of the beach near the river is very remote. The few fishing families who live there are still living the ancient fishing family lifestyle.
Back Beach is a great place to fly your kite. In fact, the International Kite Festival has been held there many times.
Elite hotels have claimed segments of Back Beach and demand exorbitant prices to sit on a chair. That truly sucks!
At the moment (September, 2023) many of the beach front hotels and restaurants (those on the seaward side of the road) are closed (due to being sold to the Americans - according to the rumour mill), however, you still have access to the beach through the 'locked' gates.
I recommend an evening walk along the beachfront promenade. You will meet many locals 'winding down' for the day. It is a very friendly atmosphere.

Nice sandy beach away from the main part of Vung Tau. Mostly used by Vietnamese people getting away from Ho Chi Minh. Unfortunately some of them tend to leave their rubbish on the beach, so not as clean as it could be. In the past the local authorities used to clean the beach every night, but not much evidence of that happening now.
Edward Sangster — Google review
This sea beach is the closest to Ho Chi Minh City. Clean water. The food stalls across the Main Street is something to explore for any tourist. There are some tourist traps and I would recommend to stay is more prominent hotels... and don't carry a lot of cash with you.

The beach only gets 2 stars due to the amount of trash found on the beach. Unfortunately, most of the trash is from the people that are coming to the beach vs it being washed up during the tides.
Pro
- 2 hours from HCMC so quick get away from the city
- the beach is long so you can take long walks
- interesting shells can be found and looked at on the beach
- the far end away from the crowds is really peaceful
Cons
- trash of every kind found on the beach which is just a shame.
- crowded in water with jet skis zooming around
It was great to be back to the beach but compared to other beaches in SE Asia it’s just ok. If the trash was cleaned up it might be a solid 31/2-4 star beach.
Đền Thánh Đức Mẹ Bãi Dâu, located in Vung Tau, is home to a 25-meter high statue of the Virgin Mary holding Jesus. The well-maintained park surrounding the statue provides a serene environment for meditation and prayer. Pilgrims can walk around and meditate on scenes representing the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
This place is a very solemn place and good for meditation. Around the area, you can see scenes of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
In front of the image of Mother Mary and Baby Jesus (The Madonna), pilgrims can pray the Holy Rosary or while walking around and meditate on each scene represented by the image. There are 4 groups of mysteries to meditate and pray in the Holy rosary. 1. The Joyful mysteries, 2. Sorrowful mysteries, 3. Glorious Mysteries, 4. The Mysteries of Light. Each group has 5 mysteries, all about the life of Jesus as written in the Holy Bible.

A beautiful church up on the hill of Vung Tau. Was probadly built around 19th to early 20th century. It's fill with statues from the Bibles. One of the most significant part of the church was the Virgin Mary statue with the Santo Nino on her shoulder. A place to visit if you wanted to have a pilgrimage.

The statue of the Virgin Mary is located on the mountain. You can climb to the top of the statue both by stairs and along a winding path, where small compositions depicting the path of Christ are installed. At the very top is a cross. The path is not very easy, but it's worth it!

First of all, the schedule to con dao is not correct. They only have ferries 2-3 times a week. Phones and an email that are mentioned, there is no answer.
3 days before all tickets were sold out already. The nearest boat is in 1 week.
We asked for 2 extra tickets like Vietnamese local people do, but the captain rejected since we were foreigners.

The hall is big & beautifull, the staffs are nice and kind, the parking area is covenient, and the toilet is clean. Despite all those good thing, the minus points are food and sound. The food is so so and music is keep coming song after song and too loud to talk during the wedding event.
Ted Phan — Google review
Lots of hits and misses. First impression is the great architecture on the facade, modern and minimalistic. The hall is vast and spacious, with high ceilings, bringing lots of fresh air circulation even when crowded. Staff is attentive, courteous, and helpful. Its menu is more on contemporary side, and its quality is remarkable.
The biggest miss, however, is its sound quality. The walls are not designed for ambience and there is barely any soundproof between rooms, which makes it quite annoying when there are multiple events going on at the same time.

Long Tan Cross is a memorial site in Vietnam that commemorates the Battle of Long Tan, a significant engagement during the Vietnam War. The site honors the Australian soldiers who lost their lives during this battle. Visitors need to notify the Dat Do District Peoples Committee in advance before visiting due to sensitivities associated with the memorial. The journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Tan Cross takes about 2 hours and offers peaceful countryside views with rubber trees and fruit gardens along the road.
We had an amazing private tour of Long Tan and Nui Dat. It was a very emotional day remembering so many people who lost their lives in this conflict. We will forever remember them.

While there isn't much to look at apart from the Cross, the emotional experience was amazing having read a so much about the battle it was great to see it . Unfortunately they have removed the rubber plantation that once surround the area which leaves it out in the open apart from the line of trees down the pathway but we had visited a rubber plantation on the way to get an idea of what it would have been like during the battle. We had to have an "Official Government Tour Guide" as it is not on public land and there are a number of restrictions that must be observed while there and a permit has to be applied for a minimum 3 days prior. For me it was a great experience and I found it as moving as my Gallipoli visit.

Hòn Bà is a small, deserted island that boasts a Buddhist temple atop a hill, a rocky shoreline and picturesque vistas. However, visitors should be cautious of the changing tides that can submerge the pathway leading back to the beach. In such cases, swimming becomes necessary to return to shore. Despite this potential hazard, Hòn Bà offers an enchanting escape for those seeking solitude and natural beauty.
Can be viewed from Cap Saint-Jacques lookout point or north along the coast from there. During low tide you can also walk out to the little island.

The hon ba island looks like a stingray, I guess going at the island really depends on the water tide and current as you get trappes in the island. If you will go in thr island make sure to walk along the shores and not on the pavement walkway, the walkway goes up. From the back beach; just walk on the shore until you reach the island, from the front beach you could walk along the walkway but it will be too far so just get a ride to the back beach.

Races are held every 15 to 20 minutes, and you can purchase a dog ticket at the dog ticket office behind the bleachers before the next race starts.

“WIN...Single win. Choose one dog that comes in first place.
QUINELLA...... Horse Ren. Choose two dogs to come in first and second place. The order does not matter.
TRIFECTA...trifecta. Choose 3 dogs that will come in 1st to 3rd place. Must be in order. ”

It offers a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes, especially fresh seafood, with many seafood restaurants offering freshly cooked options. Additionally, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as the War Remnants Museum and the Giant Jesus Statue atop a 32-meter high mountain.
Most try for foreigners/visitors especially if you're into seafood. It's a seafood place with much to choose from. But it's kind of fully packed most of the time. The Memorial for Fallen Soldiers in the Vietnam War is a significant historical landmark that stands tall over a vast roundabout. It pays tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in this war. The monument serves as a symbol of honor and respect for these fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives while fighting for their country. This memorial's towering presence serves as a constant reminder of the dedication, bravery, and sacrifice of those who served during this historic conflict.
It is a monument placed in the mid of the biggest roundabout of the city. Better to park your bike by the sidewalk of the roundabout center as crossing from the other side it would be too dangerous due to the traffic of vehicles.

These are seperated businesses, just bring your seafood there and ask for preparation. It will cost you around 50-150k depending on amount and cooking style (grilled, steamed, fried + sauce)
You cannot get it fresher than this!

The marketplace is down to Earth with a mediocre main way with stalls and vendors doting about; as usual with all others, you need good haggle skills to not get ripped off.
Should-go and nearby place in Vung Tau city to enjoy fresh air, clean beach and have a nice sea view. It take a bit time to queue up and check-in at sky gate (cong troi) where I found it is not necessary.
No ticket needed. If you come by bike/car, just user parking service with affordable price at the sidewalk nearby

Went on a cool breezy morning. Good spot to see the Jesus Christ statue from afar as well as the waves crashing onto the rocks/shore.
Recommend to either go before or after paying a visit at the Jesus Christ statue

Funny kitschy hotel vietnamese ol' style. Its name comes from the time The French were there. They still have french sixties music in the corridors and rooms radio (Aznavour, Trenet and so on).
Take a scooter ride until the Delta by the sea road. You will see some incredibles french colonial villas and new ones built in the same style. And then so many boats at harbour...
