Mishima Taisha Shrine is a beautiful and peaceful Shinto temple located in Shizuoka prefecture. The grounds are well-maintained with manicured gardens and house a small museum displaying historical relics. One of the highlights is the 3800-year-old tree, which happens to be the third oldest tree alive. Cherry blossom season offers breathtaking views. The shrine is conveniently located within walking distance from Mishima station, making it easily accessible for visitors.

A beautiful temple with numerous shrines. Went there on New Years Day which is extremely busy but the staff there keeps it orderly and organized. Will definitely go back on a non holiday and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.

We were there today. Amazing sacred space. Cherry blossoms were so pretty lining the pathways. It was an almost 70F spring like day in Japan. We were married here in 2015 and today brought our daughter to be blessed by the Shinto Priest. Was a beautiful sacred day.

Mishima Taisha is a perfect place to enjoy Sakura full bloom during the day and evening. Under the daylight Sakura flowers are bright and you get the warmth of the sun. In the evening the illuminations create a magic atmosphere and sparks your imagination. I recommend visiting this place for those who want to get beautiful pictures and refresh mind in the calm and magnificent atmosphere!
Escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and venture to Mishima, Shizuoka for a breathtaking experience at Mishima Sky Walk. This renowned pedestrian suspension bridge offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding natural beauty. Recently, new attractions like Forest Adventure and Long Zip Slide have made it a hit among families. Located conveniently near Hakone, Mishima, and Numazu, this is a must-visit stop while exploring the area.
You can get a direct bus from the Mishima station.
Longest suspension bridge of Japan, while crossing the bridge the bridge starts moving a lot.
During the clear sky you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt fuji as well.
The souvenir store is also very beautiful with a lot of unique items with affordable price.
After crossing the bridge there is a lot of adventurous activity you can do.
You can use Segway to roan around it.
You can do mountain climbing, rope climbing and also zip slide.
You can also cross the Mishima bridge via zip slide, however you have to wait about 30-60mins because it is always crowded.
Note:If you want to enjoy the adventurous game, come with a sporty outfit and wear sneaker.

The Sky Walk is a bridge that extends out from the side of a mountain and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The journey to the Sky Walk was an adventure in itself, with a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside, surrounded by stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Upon arriving, I was greeted by the impressive structure of the Sky Walk, which juts out from the side of the mountain and extends into the air.
The Sky Walk offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, with a clear view of the mountains, valleys, and forests below. I was especially impressed by the clear blue sky and the sense of peace and tranquility that surrounded me.
The Sky Walk is well-maintained and has a sturdy railing, making it a safe and comfortable experience.

This place is really great. Entrance just for the bridge is 1100¥ for an adult, 550¥ for junior high school kid. The bridge is very good, easy to walk on. Doesn’t give you uneasy feeling at all. At the opposite site is an adventure park and lots of activities. We haven’t done the activities today and will be back for that.
Blanka Kobayashi — Google review
A fun attraction to experience if you're in Mishima! Not only are you bombarded by amazing sights while crossing the bridge (streams, forests, and even Mt. Fuji) but there is also an activity park on the other side. You can have ice cream or fresh orange juice at the cafe, pet small exotic animals and owls, complete a ropes course, or zip line back and forth the gorge. Cost is nominal to cross the bridge and all the other activities are about the same price.
M P — Google review
The view of mt. Fuji from the bridge and surrounding area was breathtaking. Also the weather was quite sunny so the ice cream (500 yen) was quite nice to have on that day. The south side of the bridge has afew attractions such as an animal petting cafe(rabbits, hedgehogs and owls)and some outdoor activities. As well as the bluepea ice-cream shown in the picture.

Cool bridge but our visit was a bit of a bust as the weather was foul. Be aware that the metal portions of the bridge can be incredibly slippery when wet.

A must experience landmark. The longest suspended walking bridge in Japan. A lot of adventurous activities on the other side of the bridge like jungle obstacles, zip line and many more. The place has a Sky Garden cafe/restaurant/souvenir shop. Nice view of Mount Fuji and seashore, together.

This is a very nice pedestrian bridge with a great view of Mt. Fuji. You definitely won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of shops and restaurants there as well several photo spots. There is plenty to do in the area so you could easily spend a day there. They have zip lining, Segway rentals, mountain bike rentals, 4 wheeler rentals just to name a few. I just went to walk across the bridge, ate some food and took pictures and I felt it was worth the trip. I recommend the blue soft serve ice cream. Check it out if you’re in the area.

This complex was so much fun. The bridge was interesting to walk across, there were lots of food places on the other side, an animal cafe, adventure course, and a zip line. I would highly recommend the zip line - I'm afraid of heights but you really didn't have time to be scared! The demonstrations were very helpful (English option available) and it was very well coordinated.
April Hudson — Google review
We spent about 3 hours here - a bit of shopping, lunch, and the skywalk. The roasted chestnuts before the sky garden stairs are amazing and definitely worth the price! We bought them twice. All extra activities are quite costly so we did not do any (zipline ¥2000 for example), they look fun though. Walk through the hydrangeas is nice. There is an animal cafe in the corner after the bridge but questionable ethics - even at the gift shop counter there is an owl with a leg tied to a small log so they can't move, or a hedgehog in a small box. The bridge view is great, though we couldn't see Fujisan due to clouds.
C C — Google review
Amazing bridge over a deceivingly deep valley. Was 1100 yen each to cross and get to the outdoor adventure centre, it’s hard to resist the zip wire as you cross the bridge which I highly recommend. It’s 4200 yen each for the tree top adventure course and the zip wire, plus 1100 to access the bridge area.

Visited the place with our friends.
The Mishima Skywalk is a picturesque scenery spot where you can see Mt. Fuji from a gigantic suspension bridge. A total length of 400m, it is Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. It is recommended that you visit in the mornings or evenings. Mt. Fuji and the ocean (Suruga Bay) are especially beautiful around nine in the morning when the temperature is low. You can also enjoy the beautiful sunset from October to February. Experience thrilling activities at Forest Adventure! On the Long Zip Slide, you can experience the exhilarating feeling of gliding in the air 70m above ground for 300m while gazing at Mt. Fuji

We can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Fuji from the huge suspension bridge. The suspension bridge is 400 meters long and is the longest suspension bridge in Japan exclusively for tourists.
On the other side of the suspension bridge, there is an owl cafe. There is one at the door to greet people, but if we want to interact with the owls, guests can pay an entrance fee and enter the cafe to take photos with the owls and pet them.
Connie Chu — Google review
The views are nice. Love the thrill of the suspension bridge during a nice Windy Day. There a lot of other local activities. There are better views of Mount Fuji from elsewhere esp from the North side. However, this serves as a boost to the local tourism!
Dan — Google review
This bridge is not for the faint of heart. If you are afraid of heights, you will struggle walking across. It does sway a bit and on a windy day, it can be a little unsettling. The views are amazing- especially at sunset! There are quite a bit of things to do on the other side of the bridge- it is easily an all day adventure! There is a place to eat and several food truck type vendors as well. Plenty of parking and dogs are welcome, but they have to be able to fit in a carriage for crossing the bridge.
Brandy Roberts — Google review
Great view of fuji mountain. Was super cold due to the wind, be prepared!
Across the bridge there are a selection of activities to do at extra cost. We went to the owl petting shop which was surprisingly fun. They had many owls and also hamsters and hedgehogs.
Lorraine Y — Google review
Great view of Fuji san and nice setup. The extra activities were all additional charges so I didn't bother, but they looked fun.
Caution for the tourists taking a bus to get there as they only had one bus per hour when I left, and at closing (5pm) the next one is at 5:44, where you need to wait along the highway.
Yamanaka Castle Ruins, nestled in the mountains, date back to the 1500s and offer stunning views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. The site is a popular destination during spring for its blossoms and panoramic vistas. The park surrounding the ruins features a unique checkerboard shape and provides free entry. Visitors can admire blooming flowers while exploring different areas with historical explanations. Although the castle itself no longer stands, visitors can still appreciate its original mountain terrain design.
This place is a nice little surprise for those who likes to see Mount Fuji with flowers in its foreground. I was for sure delighted!

I was able to see the long-awaited waffle-shaped moat! The weather was great and we could see Mt. Fuji perfectly. It has a nice atmosphere with different types of shoji moat and unebori. It was a good place to stop by on the side of the Mishima Skywalk and Tokaido.

A nice place to visit. It was a remnant of a castle built during Sengoku period. It is a large park with the weird checkerboard shape. Well maintained free entrance park. The flower was blooming, you can see Mt Fuji from a perfect view, and multiple different areas with some history explanation for you to explore too.

It is a nice attraction and it is free. However, but the transport to get there is a nightmare 😔, Tokai bus N65 only run once per hour (week day) but the bus is small and (especially tons of people go to Sky Walk and many other attraction along the route!). People can wait for hours to get on this bus, the current capacity cannot meet the demand.

This is nice place. Japanese traditional style castle ruins, so called "Yama-ziro", it means architects use original mountain terrain, prepared for the enemy invasion. Unfortunately The castle is gone, but can see original mountain terrein.
The Sano Art Museum showcases a diverse collection of Buddhist statues, ceramics, and a famous sword among other artworks. The museum is set in a tranquil garden that features narrow pathways and a small waterfall at its center. The park is well-organized with dense wooded areas leading to a lovely pond that occupies about one quarter of the area, while the grassy open space rests in another corner.
A nice little facility that holds some interesting, well-organized exhibitions. So far, I've seen some weird-cute artwork by Higuchi Yuko, a collection of Japanese swords and, today, an Audrey Hepburn photo exhibition. Signs succinctly tell visitors in English some rules to follow (no taking photos of the exhibits, no talking loudly and so on). There's a small gift shop on the ground floor which sells goods related to the featured exhibition, as well as other items. The adjoining Japanese garden is quite beautiful, and there's also a coffee shop / restaurant (松韻) on the opposite side of the garden from the museum.
George Zhou — Google review
Although I didn't go inside the museum, the adjoining garden was wonderful. As you can perhaps see by the photos that I attached. The small heavily wooded garden is laced with narrow pathways. I think that the - I'll call it a park- is very well laid out, with a tiny waterfall at its center feeding a lovely pond forming, I would guess, about one quarter of the park's area. The dense wooded area opens onto the pond, while a small grassy open area rests in another corner. I was almost alone in the middle of the day, and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

When we bought our ticket, the employee said we could take pictures except where there was a "no picture" sign. We then took 3 or 4 pictures (the other employees upstairs did not say anything) but suddenly a employee came aggressively to us saying it was strictly forbidden to take ANY picture. She asked us to delete the few pictures we took and we were so confused. I did not enjoy a lot.

Shirataki Park is a peaceful and tranquil area located in the heart of Mishima. The park features stunning waterways that flow gently through its winding, tree-lined paths. The pools within the park are formed by natural spring water originating from Mount Fuji, which adds to its serene ambiance. Lush greenery and an abundance of trees provide ample shade throughout the park, making it a perfect spot for picnics or relaxing walks.

From January to May, visitors can pick strawberries, while muskmelons are available from August to early fall and mandarin oranges from October to December (advance reservation required). We were flattered as one of the staff (we didn't ask her name) We were late but she was waiting us almost an hour at the front door, very patiently. She led us to the dining room where the lunch has been prepared. She asked us to settle the bill after the lunch (it should be settled prior to the meal). After having lunch, we paid the bill for the lunch and the strawberry picking activity. She then led us to the strawberry field and explained the arrangement while en route. The strawberry field was just gorgeous and we could pick and eat as we could. We stayed in the field for about an hour with lots of fun and ate lbs of strawberries. A very enjoyable experience and highly recommended for self-drive visitors

Details on ticketing were not clear but you just have to purchase from the information counter when you enter, on your left. There were big and delicious strawberry to pick, and there wasnt a time limit to when you need to come out. However, do note that you cannot pack the strawberries out and have to consume all that you have picked within the greenhouse. The greenhouse can get very warm, it would be better appreciated if there were lockers for bag storage. Upon ticket purchase, you will get discount vouchers to buy things at the store, including ice cream or fruit juices.

Numazu Imperial Villa Memorial Park is a museum that was formerly a summer resort for the imperial family. The park is home to pine woods and hydrangea gardens. Its historical significance as a vacation spot for the royals makes it an important site to visit.
Visited the 2nd house resort of the Japan emperor Naruhito Family in Numasu Japan.

If you're in the area you need to come and see how the emperor and the family used to hang out. It is what you would think of when you think of traditional Japan in Japanese architecture setting a beautiful seaside location. Again, this place is old and run down but if he can look past that you will enjoy it. If what high, you must remove your shoes to walk inside the building.

A lovely reminder of what Japan was like before pollution, micro plastics, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide smog and concrete. Plus, today was a sake festival. It's just such a shame that if you leave the grounds, you come into contact with all of the poisonous, vile void of death quite quickly. But this is Japan, so there's not much which is beautiful and untouched any more.

This park is good with the immediate exposure to the numazu beach. This is very calm n cool place and ideal for jogging or casual walking. The only worrisome thing is, the beach attached to this park is very dirty. It's beautiful but not cleaned. The plastic residues are littered over the beach.

A great way to spend a few hours and see a bit of recent Japanese history.

Nice shady place to escape the heat and see how the former emperor vacationed. Quite fascinating to see the old kitchen and bathrooms! In summer the had a little pool for children to splash in and diaper changing facilities in the women's toilets.

(Translated by Google) When I was walking along the Genbei River, I passed by along with the ``Toki no Kane'' and I feel sorry for it. ...A long time ago, when there wasn't much noise from the city or traffic, I could hear the bell ringing at my house, which was about 1km away from here. Apparently, it's "The Bell of Time." I also heard Michio Miyagi's ``Haru no Umi'', a famous koto piece, but where was it played? There are people who understand. ...Now that I think about it, the shrine (bell) here was a part of life. I miss a life without noise (distractions).

It is a small local shrine.
There is a guide to the shrine, but it is so damaged that I can't read the text.
In addition, a wooden stick is placed casually in front of the company name sign and information board on which the name of the shrine is engraved.
I think it's a matter of feelings towards the shrine, but it's a shame.
It is said to have its origins in the Edo period, when an Inari shrine was enshrined on top of a gigantic stone called Mitsuishi on the banks of the Genbei River. The current shrine building was built in 1991 and enshrines Toyoukehime Okami, the guardian deity.
In the precincts there is a ``Toki no Bell'' that was used to tell the time at post stations during the Edo period.

(Translated by Google) I found it on a map in 2018 and went there from Tokyo. The facility is a private art museum on the second floor of a three-story building, and after passing through a short hallway at the entrance, there are three exhibition rooms at the back, where special exhibitions were held. I liked the paintings that appeared to be from the collection in a section near the entrance, but I was disappointed that the temporary exhibition space was large and the permanent exhibition space was small. I left after about 10 minutes, but the service was very pleasant.
The parking lot is on the hill on the opposite side of the facility across the road. From your feet, you can see a magnificent view of Mt. Ashitaka and Mt. Fuji rising again as the land becomes lower towards Mishima City.
I received a comment from the owner. ``The main facility will be exhibiting the works of painters with whom we have connections and local people,'' and the museum is likely to be active in holding solo exhibitions and special exhibitions. We apologize for the mistake regarding the parking lot and building. I thought about deleting the entire text, but since there was no post from the museum and I couldn't find any other information, I kept it short. We hope you will continue to support local art.

I walked through the residential area from Mishima Taisha's Shinkaen.
Admission is free.
The building is old, and after the Ansei Earthquake of 1854, it was relocated from the former checkpoint building in Susono/Juriki.
Once inside, you can take a tour around the room from the right room.
The history of the calendar itself ranges from China to Japan, from the imperial court calendar to local calendars.
And the making and history of the Mishima Calendar. A business (?) dispute with Ise Calendar.
Local calendars also have several characteristics, such as scrolls, booklets, and those posted on pillars, which stimulate the desire for knowledge.
However, the exhibits are modest, so it may be boring for those who are not interested. I like it♪
