Living at 60 Absolute Ave, Absolute Towers in Mississauga has been a nightmare from the beginning. The most significant issue we faced was the utter disregard for our complaints about a smoking neighbor whose noxious cigarette smoke infiltrated our unit everyday for more than 6 months, rendering one of our bedrooms completely unusable. Despite the building's supposedly strict no-smoking bylaws, it took the management months to address the issue. Security's approach was nothing short of laughable. Instead of taking decisive action, they meekly knocked on the neighbor's door, essentially pointing fingers at us as the source of the complaint. It's a pathetic response that reflects the lack of commitment to enforcing their own rules.
Parking at this building is a complete joke. With a shared visitors parking lot of no more than 30 spots for 2 buildings with over 400 units each, our guests have often been forced to leave due to the lack of available spaces.
The exorbitant maintenance fees we are forced to pay would be somewhat justified if the building were well-maintained. However, the reality is that the Absolute Towers are falling apart. The elevators, which are a basic necessity, are frequently out of order, taking an absurd amount of time to arrive, making daily life a frustrating experience. It's astonishing that 2 out of 3 elevators can be simultaneously out of service, leaving residents to endure long waits just to access their homes. The wallpaper in some of the hallways are peeling off, carpets are stained and disgusting looking, parking garage lobby smells like garbage consistently. The only well kept area of the building is the main lobby, unsurprisingly.
The management's incompetence reached new heights when my vehicle faced two separate incidents of damage in the building's parking lot. In the first incident, my car was side-swiped, and I received no information or assistance from management. In the second incident, my brand new car was subjected to an attempted theft, with a hole drilled into the window and the horn wire cut. Despite the supposed 24-hour gated security in place, my inquiries to management about the security breach went unanswered. I was left to deal with the aftermath on my own, forcing me to leave the vehicle at my parents' house and purchase a cheap, inconspicuous vehicle, as it seems having anything nice is a liability in this living nightmare.
In light of these numerous issues, we've made the wise decision to sell our unit and escape this living nightmare as quickly as possible. The lack of responsiveness, disregard for residents' well-being, and overall mismanagement make Absolute Towers a place to avoid at all costs. If you have the choice of buying or renting anywhere other than these buildings, take your money and RUN!
