Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park is a child-friendly amusement park featuring various play structures ideal for children and fee-based rides suitable for the whole family. The park offers reasonably priced attractions like a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and train ride that takes six minutes to circle the perimeter of the park. Besides, free playground activities are available such as zip lines, climbing structures, fast tunnel slides and spinning disks.
What a great Saskatoon institution. Stay for a short time or stay for awhile. Plenty of fun things for the whole family to do. The playground is creative and extensive featuring a zip line for kids up to age 12, and cool slide structure built into the hill, a wooden log climbing structure and a new age merry go round.
A splash pad is great for kids to beat the heat. A few picnic tables are scattered around for those wanting a chance to eat with family and friends.

It's always a good time when I take my kids here. The ticket prices are decent, at only $2.50 a ride. Great sizes for the toddlers and little kids. The train is a great addition for the kids to see the whole park.
There's a glider which my 4 year old had no trouble riding.
The playground base is soft, with a rubber, the little ones don't get hurt if they fall.
There is a small splash area for hot days.

There are even Slack liners and balance artists as well as personal trainer groups and the WONDERHUB. Oh didn't even mention the prairie lily boat. If you wanted to go up in a hot air balloon. The open field is where they take off from, And if there is unfortunately an emergency, The hospital is meters away. There is a spray pad, play area, zip line and another park close by. You have to purchase tickets for the train, merry-go-round, and ferris wheel. Tickets are 2.50 ! It's so affordable and so much fun for kids and big kids, too, I bet!

The park is an absolute pleasure to visit and spend a warm summer day with the spray park and playground for the kids.
You can Soar high above the city on the 20 metre high Ferris wheel or have a twirl on a bright and cheery carousel animal. Hop aboard for a whistle-stop tour on the Canpotex Train - a park favourite. This replica modern-day freight train rolls along a 626 metre loop through the park. Or you can follow the pathways around the park or run free in the play areas. Work the pumps, troughs and valves in the water area or tackle the log climber and double cable ride in the sand. With many beautiful trees and rocks in the natural play space, it’s easy to forget you’re in city centre. The play area is always open and there are no admission fees. However, the rides are more for younger kids and the cost is at 2.5 a ticket or 12 for 25.

There's only 3 rides but 3 is better than nothing! The staff were very friendly. It had a nice park to play, splash park and rides. If you get hungry you can also grab food, drinks and treats here. I recommend for children 7 and under.

The park is a pleasure to visit. There are many areas to picnic as well as rides for kids and a truly enjoyable playground for kids. This park is designed to delight children of all ages with waterplay, slides, obstacles to climb, a pair of zip lines and so much more. The rides are more for younger kids but the cost is affordable at 2.25 a ticket or 12 for 22.50.
This is easily one of the nicest family play attractions I have visited and would recommend it to anyone with kids.

Child-friendly park with superb playground structures for children and fee-based rides that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Fee-based rides are reasonably priced and include a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round and a 6-minute train ride around the perimeter of the park. Free playground activities include a super-fast tunnel slide, zip lines, climbing structures and a hop on spinning disk. Restrooms on the premises. The train caboose is reserved for those needing accessibility accommodations.

It's a bit disappointing that there are only a few rides. However, there are many large parks and playgrounds, so it is good for family outingsI recommend you bring your lunch box!!

Only 25% of my teachers did there jobs. The other couldn’t care about if you made it to class. Even if you handed in your work on time and exactly the way they wanted it they would fail you for fun. They had office hours I would show up and then still fail after fixing the work they said needed fixing. I even went to the grammar library workshop helpers and some teachers would give me 80% and others would just be cruel. I had one teacher give me the same grade 60% on all my tests and all my papers. She was so lazy. I hated going to school here because most of the friends I made were fake people. I can attest that I’m so glad I don’t live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan anymore. It’s all a cliquey beauty contest on who knows who. Not a fan of teachers, people or the classes. My biology teacher was the most boring class ever.

Very fast. Very efficient. Had me in and out of there in no time. The only major issue is the parking situation you have to pay for parking prior to arriving in the hospital. Most of the machines did not accept debit or visa, only cash. So if you don't have any cash on you, you have to go to the bank machine. Get cash then go to financing in the hospital for change for the machine. Keep in mind the machine does not dispense change so if you put in a little too much you're not getting it back. So everything was fantastic with the exception of parking, it sucked. Lol

Terrible university. Don't be deceived by the beauty of the old buildings. IT is terrible. HR is terrible. The special needs department had a very miserable HR lady who didn't care about students. Constant issues with tuition fees of the university charging things that didn't apply, or change charges throughout the semester. UNBC was a wonderful university where none of these problems were present, and all the professors cared about their students. I miss my old university. This one is garbage. Too woke-fake-liberal.

After waiting three years to reflect on my university experience at the U of S, I must express my dissatisfaction. There exists a significant disparity between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Preaching far left social ideology whilst practicing fiscal exploitation of both students and our very own government. I guess left leaning voters ensure the education subsidies are deposited. Do as I say not as I do.
Charles Smith, whom I consider an academic CLOWN, is undeniably a genuinely nice person. However, it’s apparent that he has spent his entire life under the umbrella of academia with minimal real-world experiences. For instance, he claimed/thought/stated that all truckers are in unions, which is not the case at all. On another occasion, when a student expressed disagreement about something related to Quebec, he responded by challenging the student to teach the class, displaying an unwillingness to tolerate dissenting opinions. This incident, among others, contributed to my decision to leave university and do something more productive.
Despite encountering some good professors who privately conveyed to me their discomfort with the university’s direction, it’s disconcerting that educators in a place of “ideas” feel the need to censor themselves and conform to the flavour of the week. I dropped out because new ideas were not welcomed, and after three years, the return on investment was minimal compared to the substantial time spent in the real world.
It’s disheartening to think about those who invest their money to learn how to memorize useless facts, only to find themselves unprepared for the real world upon graduation.
Additionally, during the Covid pandemic, the university closed down all facilities and only provided an $18 discount, which seems inadequate given the circumstances.
Accreditation is not Education.
Peter Stoicheff is a joke.

The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo, originally a tree nursery, has evolved into a National Historic Site with well-maintained gardens, restored heritage buildings, an outdoor playground and fishing pond. The zoo is the only CAZA-AZAC accredited one in Saskatchewan, showcasing mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. Visitors can encounter Mistaya and Koda grizzly bears along with playful cougars Malcolm and Jethro.
Always a fun time no matter how old you are. Definitely best to go on a cooler, somewhat cloudy day for the animals to be out and about. Lots of fun with a little one for them explore and learn. They have good prices for the cafe food and snacks as well. Overall, I've gone over five times now and have enjoyed it each time. Plan to be a couple hours to just wonder around looking at everything.

I’m not a huge fan of zoos, but I will say that this is a fantastic place to take a young child for a day. Great playground. Nice place to walk around. The animal exhibits … my least favourite part, though they seem to have improved over the past decade.
Jessica DeWitt — Google review
Cool experience, even if it was freezing cold. There weren’t many animals out, which obviously isn’t the zookeepers fault, my only complaint is that there was literally no one to take care of tickets. We waited for awhile but nobody was there, we just put some money down and walked in. It seems like a well meaning zoo, but it’s a bit run down. The animals all seemed to be taken care of, though!

Second time to visit. We previously got the family pass & it was a breeze with admission this time. The birds are now back as compared to last May when they were kept due to the avian flu. The canteen & the monkey area is currently under construction which is a bummer since last time, we enjoyed watching the little monkeys. We loved the color of the changing trees! We took photos, picnicked under the tree. Oh the highlight of our visit was the prarie dog. They were so cute my family had fun interacting with them. The butterfly building seemed done but closed for the season. Unfortunately. The zoo is small compared to Calgary zoo but it’s not that bad since they’ve got many animals for the little ones as well. Porcupine, bald eagle, snowy owl, grizzly bear, elk, etc. Overall our visit was great! Would be coming back for more 😊

The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park is such a beautiful place to behold. The environment is so cool and is a very good place for relaxation. It's also good for picnics with a wide place for children to run around. The McDonald's Play Ground is so well equipped good enough for the Children to exercise themselves without being tired. It also a good place to hold Children's Birthday parties. There is also a zoo on the other side though I've not been there.

Good park for one day activities. Learning centre has some snakes, turtles especially for the kids. The downside is that many places does not actually has any animals, its just empty. The zoo is nice for the kids but not too much for adults. However, the butterfly section is amazing as you will see butterflies flying around (you are not allowed to touch them - they can touch you 😊). You could spend a day or half. At the entrance, you have to pay park parking fees and there is separate fees to enter zoo. The separate cost for adults and kids. Overall, the place is good but they can improve a lot.

My trip to Saskatoon Forest Zoo was an amazing adventure! We arrived around 11am and noticed people were leaving, thats a sign its open early, even the train tour was in full swing. The variety of animals was mind-blowing – check out my awesome pictures! 📸
The zoo is beautifully laid out, offering different animal exhibits at various locations. Although the bear was elusive (he's a pro at hide-and-seek, apparently), I did catch sight of the majestic wolf and the magnificent eagles. 🦅🐺
After the animal fun, we treated the kids to some tasty fries and refreshing pop. The whole experience was a hit, and the kids couldn't stop talking about the animals they saw. Despite the bear playing shy, it was a fantastic day at the zoo! 🐻🌳🐾

I used to take my kids here all the time when they were young several years ago and there was plenty to see and it was well taken care of. I went to the zoo today and was really disappointed. A lot of the animal enclosures were empty and the pond that used to home many types of birds including beautiful swans now looks like a green swamp with overgrown weeds and bushes. No birds at all there now. They used to have peacocks and roosters roaming freely - now there’s none. Even many of the enclosures with animals in them were pretty sparse. I saw no deer at all and the monkey enclosure had one monkey. I would be embarrassed to take out of town relatives or friends to this zoo. If it’s a city budget issue, Saskatoon really needs to do something about this. The parking lot was busy today - way more people than you’ll see at that downtown gallery that the city paid millions for. Come on Saskatoon……… you can do better. I wont be back anytime soon.

Amazing place, has changed quite a bit since I was a kid, animals are in good shape looked well looked after, unfortunately you can no longer bring a picnic inside. A few bad apples ruined it for the rest of us, however they still have a concession there with daily specials and quality food. Highly recommended attending if you are in the city for the day
The park is also beautiful and should not be missed at all. Highly recommend checking out the meditation garden
The Ukrainian Museum of Canada is a museum that showcases exhibits and artifacts depicting the history of Canada's first Ukrainian immigrants. While it may be considered pricey by some, the museum offers a wealth of information about Ukrainians coming to Canada. Overall, it is an excellent place to gain insight into the history of Ukrainians in Canada while also discovering unique gifts.
Слава Україні!
This is an incredible place. Being here you plunge into the history of a whole people, their traditions. For Ukrainians, this is a place filled with nostalgia, joy, pride, and mixed feelings. There are several halls, one exhibits an exposition of traditional clothes and household items, the history of the first emigrants. Events, exhibitions and various presentations are held in the second hall. There is also a very beautiful souvenir shop where everyone will definitely find something for themselves. At the entrance you are greeted by very polite and smiling girls.

The a lady in the museum was very informative and pleasant.
Admission is 8 $ for some it may seem expensive for to me whether you spend and hour or more is still worth the price .
There is a little gift shop, one should inquire about how they create the Ukrainian eggs , what the colours and symbols mean.
You will be truly surprised and the amount of time to create on these wonderful works of arts.

This is an “I wish” museum. I wanted to explore the history of Ukrainian immigration and settlement in Saskatchewan. A large number of displays present a wide range of artifacts. However, I wish….the information cards were posted on the walls….sometimes 6 feet from where visitors are permitted. The font is too small to make them legible. I wish I was able to read the information accompanying the displays. I suspect if you are of Ukrainian heritage then the museum would be a delight in revisiting family memories.

Nice little museum with interesting artifacts. Not really child friendly at all, children were told a few times to be quiet, even though there was only one or two other people in the whole place. Advertising said a children's scavenger hunt made us believe children would be welcome, but reminders to be quiet seemed a little contradictory. It's a very silent atmosphere, would be ideal for adults.

Wanuskewin is a cultural center that pays tribute to the artwork and history of the First Nations people. It features exhibits and events showcasing archaeological evidence of their lives from as far back as 6,000 years ago, including tipi rings, medicine wheels, and petroglyphs. Located just five kilometers north of Saskatoon, Wanuskewin offers visitors an opportunity to learn about Saskatchewan's indigenous cultures through both its museum and the land itself.
Visited the museum and park back in September 2021. It's amazing the amount of effort and funding that's been given to keep this place up and running. There's so much more that needs to be done to preserve such a historic area but one needs to acknowledge what's already in place. Ask the ticket office about the yours and shows. You can of course walk on your own but being part of a your allows the people who are working there -researchers mainly- to share their own experience and insights of the place. I hope I can visit again someday and by then I hope I'll be able to learn more about the rich history that's been long hidden.

A great exhibition in this beautiful building and a chance to learn about the indigenous peoples and community and how they lived.
We enjoyed viewing the bison herd (24) at a distance from a viewing area and discovering how the herd is growing.
The trails offer some good walking so it’s best to wear shoes rather than sandals. We saw some colourful yellow and black birds (finches?) and were surprised to find so few people walking about. It seemed like we had the place to ourselves.
The display of Hoop dancing was terrific- the man ( cannot recall his name) told us the history and how he came to do the dancing and it’s significance. The dancing doesn’t take place everyday so we were lucky.
Lunch in the cafe was ok but the service was slow.
Good to know such an interesting place is close to the city of Saskatoon. There’s a fun play area for children too.

Spent two hours and could have spent many more. The exhibits were well done and the information shared provided insight up to the point of First Nation sacred heritage. The word choices on the panels, the importance of passing things on to the children and the dance demonstration gave me a deeper understanding. Going outdoors, only did the Trail of Discovery (30 minutes) and at each spot, there was placard with excellent information. Highly recommend visiting and it was truly a peaceful place!

Finally went to this place. It's a great place just outside Saskatoon to spend few hours.
You can experience the history with the museum, movie inside. They have few hikes (not very long) that can be completed within 2 hours.
We saw few Deers as well. It has separate play area for kids and a restaurant to enjoy some food.
I believe there should be a separate or less expensive pass for someone who just wants to hike and not access the inside area. I felt the fees to be expensive based on what we have to experience !
Or atleast, parking should have been free if you are charging the entrance fees.
Good place to go with your kids and family !!

Wanuskewin is an essential visit for the Saskatoon tourist, and a wonderful place to visit regularly for the Saskatoon resident. The conference center is gorgeous. One can learn about Indigenous culture in the exhibits and at special events. The trails are full of whimsical nooks, and offer opportunities to become familiar with Indigenous and environmental history, as well as prairie ecology. And now there are bison! Which is pretty cool, and a big win for rebuilding Indigenous sovereignty.

Even though it is away from the urban area with no public transit access (it’s a pity that there isn’t), Wanuskewin is a great attraction with beautiful people, grounds, and building, and a must-visit in Saskatoon to learn about its cultural heritage and appreciate the deep connection between the Indigenous way of life and the natural landscape, especially before modern urban development.
They have tours and activities all day long and multiple hiking trails to keep you busy for an entire day. I spent around 2.5 hours here: had bison stew at the café (~30 minutes), walked the main hiking loop and a little bit of one side trail (~45 minutes, although the map indicated 1 hour), browsed the gift shop (~15 minutes), did the Bison walk with an enthusiastic guide (~30 minutes) and did a quick browse through the galleries (~30 minutes). I had originally wanted to see the Indigenous performance (which was at 1 PM), but arrived too late for that, so make sure you check the activity timings on the website in advance of your visit. Note that the site is applying for UNESCO World Heritage Site designation, and I hope it succeeds!

Really nice trails with great views of the saskatchewan river valley. Just know that the trails are free to hike and the $14 is the museum fee! We were not made aware of that and we're charged the full museum fee and we didn't even see the museum, an oversight on our part, but some clarity from staff would've been nice. Some wildlife can be easily seen from the trails like ground squirrels, birds and mule deer. Unfortunately the bison were too far away to get a good look

Persephone Theatre is a long-standing theatre that showcases both modern and classic plays and musicals, as well as youth productions. The venue is visually appealing with innovative designs that blend olden-day artifacts with modern ideas. The floor numbers are clearly marked for ease of navigation, making it convenient for visitors to locate their desired floor. Regardless of the seat location, all patrons enjoy a great view of the performances held at Persephone Theatre.
This was my first time at Persephone Theatre. I’m not a huge fan of the parking because I was dressed up for the occasion and for March; it was a little bit chilly having to walk from the parking lot. When we arrived, it was not busy at all, so getting in to the theatre was quite easy. Everyone was very friendly! I was surprised at the bathroom which was an individual stall. I did discover that there were other bathrooms down the hall. The ladies at the bar were very friendly and prompt with our drinks. They were also very patient with me as I could not decide what I wanted to try. They also offered a pre-sale so that you can order your drink and have it ready for intermission, which I thought was a very neat idea. After receiving our drinks, we went upstairs to discover some comfy couches and a nice view of the river. There were some art that was on display as well. The show that we went to see was called the Birds and the Bees. As I mentioned, it was my first live theatre there at Persephone, and it was absolutely fantastic. It was a quaint little theater, and the acoustics was very good. The actors were so good. I would definitely recommend this play.

I would give zero stars if I could. I attended with my 1 year old to watch my 6 year olds year end musical theatre performance, however when ever the lights went out in between performances my baby got scared and would cry but would be fine and happy once the performers came back onto stage. Because of this the workers kicked myself and my baby out of the theatre and wouldn’t refund my ticket or give me other options to watch my child perform. All she told me was “come back tomorrow without your baby”. They are definitely not family friendly let alone kid friendly here, which I don’t get why Sask Express would use this venue for their year end performances. I’m disappointed I couldn’t watch my daughter perform because of the unprofessional nature of this worker (lady with short blonde hair, glasses). There was another baby in the theatre that would continuously cry during the performances and they were not told to leave. I would not recommend this place very unprofessional in their business practices.

When I called back, he immediately hung up on me, again. The manager was no better and stood behind her employees rude behavior. This venue is a negative place, full of rude, discriminative staff and they even discriminate against young children, we won’t ever support Persephone Theatre and highly recommend you do the same- we suggest staying away from this venue and looking elsewhere, somewhere more inclusive for all people, families, children etc.

Went to see the 3 floor of exponents. Creativity is there, interesting items from the olden days mixed with modern innovation..got some ideas how to make my walls more interesting in budget. Also I like the visual experience for the vistors: floor numbers and you will immediately know which floor you are at, attached photos.

I attended a performance of Boeing Boeing while on holiday and Persephone Theatre did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby area while small was clean and inviting, and the seats are comfortable. Side note: if you are a person of size I would recommend checking with the theatre for accommodation although I personally did not need to. Most importantly, the performance was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience and have recommended the show and theatre to friends and family.

Great venue! There are no bad seats in that place. We saw Carmen with the Saskatoon Opera and Symphony orchestra. Good fun and tragic, too, of course. Huzzah!
The Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan is a new museum set to open in 2017 on the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon. The museum boasts an avant-garde design and will showcase contemporary art, including a gallery dedicated to Picasso. Visitors can also enjoy a theater and eatery alongside three floors of 11 galleries.
Awe-inspiring experience. Views of the river are fantastic! Guides are knowledgeable. I know knew that Bisons are bigger than I thought. I love the mirror maze area most out of all galleries—beautiful art by world-class artists. Free lockers are there to put one's belongings, and how to use them is also written. Along with stairs, elevators are also there. Must visit

Very interesting to see the different kinds of art displayed in each gallery of the museum. Even a room for Picasso! I love that it is accessible (elevator & doors). It has a little seating area with views of the Saskatchewan River too. Parking is best in the pay parking lot under the overpass. Give yourself two hours to enjoy

The learning centre is fantastic! I would recommend anyone with children to partake in the Saturday craft session. The galleries of artwork are very nice. So glad the admission is now by donation.

Saskatoons biggest art gallery. Boasts a gorgeous view of Riverlanding. Three floors with 11 galleries, on site restaurant, gift store, and access to the Persephone Theater. Tickets available online or walk in. Prices are very reasonable. Drop in art programs twice a week. Get a free locker to stash your jacket while you roam around.

I'll add more photos another time, these are mostly from the newest exhibit by Kapwani Kiwanga ("Remediation") that replaced Denyse Thomasos abstract art that was upstairs. The Japanese burned wood floor grabbed my attention as I enjoy wood working and have watched videos on that but never tried it myself. I really enjoyed the wackiness of Laure Prouvost's art (Oma-je) typically French:p. That's all I'll say, you just have to see it for yourself, you'd agree haha. Picasso is...well Picasso...it's cool but ho-hum at this point after having seen so much of it. Meryl McMaster had a great photo gallery for "bloodline", a few interesting pictures but it wasn't as interesting to me as the Metis art exhibit in its place prior to that. Just my opinion. The Remai has a great view and is a mini escape whenever I'm in the city and the entry fee being just donation is perfect. The whirring spinning Spinner Forest installation (Nick Cave) is so enchanting and calming. Just sit there and relax and be mesmerized!

Beautiful architecture. Light, windows and views of the river are stunning! Employees and volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful. The art we viewed today was wonderful, rivaling many of the galleries we've visited in Europe. Canada is home to some world class artists, and they're works can be seen at the Remai. Sorry we never made the trip sooner, but so glad we went today!
Carolyn Giesinger — Google review
Beautiful gallery space, completely under-utilized however. Using a full-sized theater for only a couple hours a week. Mediocre artwork is normally on display, despite there being FAR better artwork hidden inside the vaults. Even a BEAUTIFUL wooden model of the River Landing area, that is hidden on the 4th Floor, that should be in the Atrium for public display. This space definitely has 4 or 5 star potential, but sadly poor planning and execution is keeping this location from reaching its full potential.

During my visit to the Remai Modern, I had a wonderful experience exploring the museum's captivating art installations. I was pleasantly surprised when they allowed me to take some photos, adding to the overall enjoyment of my visit. The museum itself is truly remarkable, with its beautiful design, informative exhibits, and inspiring atmosphere. It's a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and anyone seeking a unique and enriching cultural experience. I highly recommend checking it out if you have the opportunity.

What an amazing museum and in a great location. Entry is free but you can make a donation easily either via cash or with credit. The entry to the museum boasts a huge art installation.
While we were there we were able to take part in two art experiences. There was a drawing activity and a sculpting activity in the Picasso pottery exhibit. In the learning center there was a cool drawing activity using pencils and feathers.
The staff was so invested in the experience and were incredibly helpful and informative the entire time.
You can’t visit Saskatoon without visiting the Remai.

Beautiful piece of modern architecture, both exterior and interior. Go to the third floor for great views of the river (if only they had a terrace too). While admission is pay-as-you-can, I was disappointed by the number and size of the exhibits, especially since two of the galleries were closed for refitting during my visit, which left only three galleries open. I was looking forward to seeing the museum's Picasso collection, but one of the galleries was closed and the open one on the ground floor was very small and only had a few pieces of Picasso linotypes.
However, what stood out positively to me was the staff members. Never had I visited a major urban art gallery where the staff members in the exhibition space were so proactive in explaining the exhibits. Even though they couldn’t answer some of my questions (more training would have been great), it really deepened my understanding of the exhibits and enhanced my visit as I probably wouldn’t have approached the staff members/curators to ask questions otherwise. Here, as with my visit to Saskatoon overall, it was the people that left a deep and positive impression on me.

As a non-artistic person, most of the historically significant objects and art pieces were not very intriguing, but the movie they showed was interesting and most of all, I went there for a banquet, and it was enjoyable.
Pics: Pretty decorations and the face that keeps looking at me.

Very beautiful and modern gallery space. I enjoyed the Meryl McMaster collection.
The coat/bagcheck system is the most convenient that I've come across - there are lockers you can easily enter your own passcode into, no key to carry around.

Everything about this gallery experience was excellent! Beautiful building that highlights the work and is not iconoclastic. I was fortunate to see the Thomasos exhibit when I missed it at the AGO earlier in the summer. Amazing that Saskatchewan has a gallery of this caliber; particularly impressive that admission is by donation and accessible for all.

I have been to the Remai Modrn art Gallery a few times now and this most recent time was better than what I remember in the past. In the past I came here for a few events that the museum had. This time I found there was a lot more interesting things to see and check out here such as the art display in the front entrance and is visible from all over the museum. It also has a large room that shows the history of the events from 2020 to present. The artwork in this area is by people who have come to the gallery and designed their art and feelings of the past couple years. Some of it is pretty creative and well thought out. It is on main level before you go up the stairs. There is also lots of neat First Nations artwork too see and more. It is much better now than what I remember it. The museum has three levels and is right on the river bank at River Landing with great views of the South Saskatchewan River from around the museum. The museum is very clean with lots of space to move around. It also has a nice area to with a few seats to sit by a fireplace near where the lockers are to put your jackets in or anything you don’t want to carry around with you when visiting. Th museum also has a gift shop to the left when you first enter the museum and a new restaurant that is coming soon. The museum has new artwork on a regular basis and admission is by donation.
Marquis Downs is an entertaining destination that offers a diverse selection of food options ranging from burgers to a full menu. It is an age-friendly venue where families can enjoy their time together, and children can experience the thrill of watching horses race. However, it's important to note that as of 2021, there are no longer any horse racing events at this location. The admission fee per person is affordable at only $2.
If you want to have a great time with friends, go to the horse track. You don't need to spend lots of money, but if you want, spend away. I have gone here many of times with my brothers. I usually only spend 20 bucks for the entire evening betting 2 or so dollars on each race. Even spending so little you get so engaged in the races. Gets you excited and feels so good when you win. As soon as you enter, you have to pay 2 dollars, I believe, for admission. And right at the gate you can get a program for that night as well. Very easy to make your bets, and get drinks. They also have a restaurant that you can eat while watching the races and someone will come to you every race to take your bets for the next race. The food may be a bit pricey but well worth it. May as well make a full evening and enjoy the races for your night out. They also have concession stands set up and you can get pulled pork sandwiches or a burger. Lots of seating area inside or outside.

This last weekend was the first time I've been to the track. It was good but there are a few things that need updating. Inside is a bit like a dungeon and the washrooms were incredibly dirty. However, the drinks were delicious and the lady who took our bids was absolutely fantastic.

Fun place to spend an evening. There is no age limit so one can bring the kids who get very excited to watch the horses too. UPDATE: As of 2021 there is no longer horse racing at this venue!

Great service and a wonderful way to watch the horse races. Included in the all you can eat buffet and endless coffe/ tea/ pop, is being able to make bets at your table in the comfort of the Terrace Restaurant and not waiting in lineups. We really enjoyed our evening!!!

This is a fun place to go if you like thoroughbred horse races, which I do. The place isn't in the best shape, but there's nothing really wrong with it. Parking is tough, but it's not that far of a walk if you can't get real close. Races are spaced 25 minutes apart, which gives you enough time to watch the horses in the paddock, then go to make a bet. At $2 every 25 minutes, it'll take me forever to go broke! Lots of fun watching the races, it's very exciting. Pro tip: bet on the grey horse. Or is it, never bet on the grey horse??? I can never remember. Either way, it's a fun evening!

Found my overall experience less than desired. Waiting time between races was lengthy. Food although a wide variety was available was less than 1 star. I ordered a veggie burger. Fine I can wait for it to be cooked. Got to watch the process. Left without my food. The 'cook' watered the patty, left it under cover then flipped it before proceeding to stab it half a dozen times.

Aside from a few glitches beyond anyone's control, the 2019 racing season has begun and coming to this track is a pleasure. My meeting with the stewards was great - they are knowledgeable and efficient; able to answer all my questions.
The TCU Place is an impressive venue that can accommodate up to 2100 people. During a recent film festival, only 900 tickets were available, and the ushers made sure to provide signs for social distancing. While it may have been preferable to limit drinks to the main floor for better mask-wearing compliance, overall the event felt safe. The staff at TCU Place are excellent, and the food is superb.
What an incredible venue for an event. The staff are awesome, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing. Swinging with the Stars was brilliant!

I went to TCU Place for the first time this past weekend to attend the 2nd annual Heart's Desire Gala (in support of the Little Wonders Family Program based in Saskatoon). We had a wonderful evening! The volunteers & staff at TCU were friendly and helpful. The directions/event signage was very clear, and the different event rooms were easy to find. The building does have elevators & is disability/handicap friendly if required. There is plenty of parking around the entire building, which is fantastic! It made getting there a stress free experience. The food was delicious, and they were able to accommodate many different allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. The bar had several options, and the tenders were helpful with suggestions. The bathrooms were clean and spacious - including a decent area for the 'line up' that always happens for the ladies' room!

TCU is a wonderful conference Centre. It has a wonderful gallery which makes it possible for you to sit anywhere and still be able to see what is going on in the hall. It has other wonderful facilities around including ATM Machine. The environment is attractive with available parking space opposite the Centre. The place is also easily accessible because is in the City Centre.

Attended an event this January. A film festival. The max capacity at TCU is like 2100, and only 900 tickets were available. I was pleased to see that ushers provided our group with signs to place on seats next to ours to maintain social distancing. I think I would have preferred that drinks were limited to the main floor, making it more reasonable to have people wear masks more frequently, and in a more contained area. But you can't have it all I guess. I felt safe during this event though.

Plenty of parking available! Need to pay though 🤔 Elevators and a beautiful stairwell if you prefer should your event be upstairs. Call centre to pick up tickets just inside to your immediate left. Place hasn't really changed but it is in a very convenient location.

I have been to many different events here over the years, most recently a concert. This venue hold all sorts of events throughout a year from concerts, plays, graduations, conferences and more. It also is clean and is in a grate location as it is located in downtown Saskatoon. There is also great acoustics here for and not a bad seat from any where for all events. This is always a great venue and all ways enjoy coming here for whatever event I attended for how old this venue has been around but wish there was drink and snack concessions on more just the main level. We were on the 3rd level for the concert

TCU Place has proven to be a fantastic venue for the markets I've attended. The abundance of beautiful natural light enhances the overall atmosphere. While navigating the exit as a vendor can be a bit chaotic, it's a minor setback in comparison to the positive aspects of this great venue. Highly recommended for market events!

TCU is a stellar venue for concerts, symphonies and theatre. The sound is outstanding and there’s not a bad seat in the house. I have enjoyed hundreds of events at TCU over the years. The staff are always warm and welcoming. It may not be the most modern venue but there’s something to be said about the nostalgic value. My only complaint is the website/app for tickets - it could seriously use a revision. All said, well done TCU.

The Venus is great, loads of space on the main floor. The Irish dance competition is better in the basement; the event was upstairs this year and there is simply not enough seating for families.

Went for a concert. It was good. My only complaints is just how to exit the venue. I understand it's tough but we went to Matt Rife and went to the earlier showing at 7pm. The second show started at 9pm. Our show ended about 8:30pm and we could only exit from one side as the other side was to be for the 9pm people to come in. It took almost 15 minutes to exit the main room and another 10 minutes to get outside.

Saw The Book of Mormon. It was excellent but if you are easily offended you may want to not attend.
If you are building a new theatre work on the acoustics of the theatre and a slightly higher slope grade between rows so it is easier to see if some 6 foot guy sits in front if you or if 2 people decide they need to sit with their arms around each other creating no space in between. A bit steeper grade for the rows would make a huge difference in the ability for people to be able to see the entire stage.

Convenient location, in the city center. Large space for events: exhibitions, concerts, conferences. The staff is friendly, welcoming. There is a pleasant atmosphere, warm, light, spacious. There is a lot of information about the planned concerts in the lobby. I would like to go back and go to a music concert.
If you're a fan of Saskatoon's craft beer scene, be sure to check out 9 Mile Legacy Brewing. You'll find a variety of beers on tap, as well as the usual suspects like macros and lagers. There's even a great selection of Belgian and sour beers that should please even the most discerning palate. I would say I was unlucky to have my car break down In front of 9 Mile Legacy, but the opposite is true. I was fortunate this happened in front of 9 mile legacy brewing where Shawn was out to make sure everything was ok, helped direct traffic and offer me water and a place to cool down in the hot sun. He embodies what a local business owner (and just overall good person) should be, cares for the community, willing to help those who need it, and empathetic. Not only after staying over an hour with me while waiting for a tow truck, he then also was nice enough to gift me with a 12 pack of mixed beers (all delicious) to cheer me up.

A very good casual place to hangout with friends. Awesome location. Great beer, the selection was very good and very creative with what they do as well. The food that they provide is also very good and goes along very well with the beer. Tried the Rafiti Moja, Iron Sight , 9 mile lager and the 9 mile Ale. They were very good to say the least, worth the money for sure! Probably the Rafiti Moja is the best that I tried!
Good job! Parking might be the only issue! Haha
Prairie Sun Brewery is not just a brewery, but also a great place to indulge in some delectable desserts. They offer a flavorful Creme Brulee of the day that changes frequently. The Matcha Creme Brulee is one of their specialties and highly recommended. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright, inviting and well decorated with good lighting.
Fantastic place! I finally had the chance to try this place out! The place itself was well lit and decorated. The atmosphere was bright and inviting especially as you come into the restaurant. Had lunch at Prairie Sun brewery. Large group of 10 people which they were able to accommodate in a long booth in the back. Lots of seating and a half story also up top. Chatted with the brewmaster, and then had a flight of 4 samplers for $12. Fun way to try different selections. Had the burger for lunch and macaroni cheese balls for an appetizer, order is 5 pieces, really tasty with the dipping sauce.

Great atmosphere! We were seated upstairs which was quite nostalgic with the Lydia's Lounge sign. Plenty of tables with adequate spacing. The price was very reasonable. Even if you don't get a table upstairs, go check out the games nook. It is a nice small spot for two people, which we sent the boys over so we could have a little private time. I have to say that the pickled eggs were my favourite! The pizza pretzels were a nice appetizer. The coffee paralyzer was delicious if you don't mind the sweetness. The cheesecake was 'meh' nothing too spectacular for $8? I think. Totally loved the caramel sauce on the giant cookie!

For starters, pints of a locally made beer at a great price. Second and most importantly, the dog friendly nature of this bar is not summer only and while they don't have a server so you can't get a full meal, you can call them and order a pint. And they will give you one as you and your fluffy friend. Enjoy the crisp outside air.
The Diefenbaker Canada Centre is located within the grounds of the University of Saskatchewan and showcases the life and career of John Diefenbaker, who served as Canada's 13th president. Notably, he was an alumnus of the university. The centre houses a telephone where visitors can listen to a famous conversation between Diefenbaker and John F. Kennedy, which was marked by sarcasm on both sides.
A great little museum about Prime Minister Diefenbakers life in politics. Very interesting with some little known facts about how he and JFK got along, and how they didn’t! It was so interesting. The paths are comprised of dirt, boardwalks, and sandy trails, making it suitable for strolling or hiking. Visitors may spot crocuses along the way but should pack out any garbage as there are no trash cans on site. The conservation area provides plenty of parking spaces for visitors' convenience.
Absolutely beautiful walk. Paths are dirt, boardwalk, and sandy trails. We were able to spot lots of crocuses. Unfortunately, there was garbage along the trail so we picked up some but didn’t have a bag to grab more. There’s a garbage can at the entrance for dog bags, etc. Lots of parking.

Very nice natural area just South of Saskatoon. It has some lovely views of the river from the high point in the park. Great place for a walk even with the clouds and rain like when we were there.
The boardwalk is necessary to save the dunes from degradation. It looks like people have made a lot of paths off the groomed paths which is unfortunate as it's destroyed the plant and animal habitat.

It’s a fantastic place for a walk in nature and also walk your dog. I highly recommend you to be there before the sunset. There is a bench there, that you can sit on and enjoy the sunset and sip your coffee. Such a peaceful place.

CranberryFlats is a nice natural nature preservation area just south of Saskatoon along the South Saskatchewan River too go for a walk or hike pretty much any time of year. My favourite time of year is fall when the weather is not too hot or cold out and all the fall colours are changing. There are many sandy and dirt paths here too walk and hike. It also has many great views of the river and the Saskatchewan Prairies especially from the high point in the park. I f your are spending a while here I recommend you bring some water too stay hydrated and if bring any snacks there’s no garbage cans on the paths too throw the garbage away so please be prepared to hold on to it until you leave and find a place to do so.

As I walked in I was was greeted with a friendly greeting from Vic. As I am from Kentucky, I love a good view at the stills. She was very happy to show me and give me the stories of the stills. She was very friendly and gave me the story of the company. I bought the gin and the whiskey! I am going to crack them when I get home! Thank you Vic! I can’t wait to come back!!!

They have a really nice venue.
The store / tasting room always has some decent cocktails to try, and the spirits are pretty decent.
Used to be a career bartender/ mixologist, always fun to find a place that makes interesting spirits to try making new cocktails with.

LB Distillery was chosen as our venue for our wedding, both ceremony and reception. The staff were fantastic, and Ken (Event Coordinator) was so helpful throughout the event planning process. We chose to have ~85 at our wedding and ceremony, and the space was perfect for that amount or more. The venue is stunning on its own, so decor costs were minimal as well.

Had our wedding here in July 2023 - It was the first thing we booked when we got engaged. We were originally working with a gentleman named Ken, however he left, and we worked with Steph - we didn’t know she took over until I sent an email to asking questions - however she and her team did a wonderful job setting up (we had a Friday wedding so dropped everything off Thursday and picked up Saturday afternoon) , they also killed it for bartending. At the end of the day the space looked how I imagined it and all our guests had a blast.

Great experience! We highly recommend visiting Lucky Bastard Distillery! The cocktails were fun, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the sour cherry liquor is to die for!
Meewasin Park is a scenic natural area that includes hiking trails, sculptures, grassy spaces, and picnic facilities located by the river. The park's name comes from the Cree word meaning "beautiful," which accurately captures its mature trees lining the riverbanks and sections of the 60km Meewasin Trail that wind through forests and along the riverside.
Sutherland Off-Leash Dog Park provides a fantastic environment for both dogs and their owners. The spacious, well-maintained grounds offer ample room for dogs to play and socialize freely. The park's thoughtful amenities, such as waste disposal stations and seating areas, enhance the overall experience. It's evident that the park is designed with the well-being of our furry friends in mind. A great spot for canine companionship and exercise, Sutherland Off-Leash Dog Park earns my enthusiastic recommendation.

There is a couple different sections to this park. It is a very grate park for walking running and cycling and also has some amazing views over looking the River to wards downtown. It also has a look out are at the top of the hill with some benches where you can just sit and enjoy the beauty. Also great for photos. In winter there is a cross country ski trail and the paved trail is groomed and snow packed down

The Northeast Swale is a vast nature preserve and educational center that boasts of diverse habitats, which support a great variety of life forms. This phenomenal location provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature, as evidenced by the sighting of between 20 and 30 deer during one visit. The presence of Northern Lights also adds to its allure. However, visitors are advised to stick to the paths in winter because off-path areas can be covered in deep snow up to the knees.
Northeast Swale is a very quiet location to be with minimal disturbance but with seats for relaxation. It is a very good location to have a very good view of the sunset at night (8:30pm). The TRAIL is located within the area.

What a phenomenal place to enjoy nature. Today's walk was windy but warm and sunny enough.

Beautiful. In the winter the paths are firm and hard packed snow, but step off and it is deep (up to my knees). Also found some deer roaming the area!

My group of children really enjoyed all the swale had to offer. Plenty of wildlife such as deer, birds, gophers, etc. They loved exploring the hills and examining all the old rocks. It's a beautiful place just bursting with life!

A lovely piece of ecologically pristine land that is a great place to walk, but more importantly, of environmental great value to our non-human animal friends, neighbours, and environment. Protect it!

Nice place to go for a walk - the landscape is wide open though so no shelter from the wind.
