Riverside Park in Kamloops is a verdant oasis that offers a range of outdoor activities throughout the year. This urban green space features a sandy public beach along the river, recreational paths for walking and biking, as well as seasonal music and food events. Visitors can also enjoy amenities like washroom facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts and an off-leash dog park by the river.
Such a beautiful park in the core of Kamloops. There is even an off leash dog park by the river. The trail winds all along the river. It’s a beautiful walk and, for us, a perfect time of year.

I love this park. It is very easy to access and a place to see year around. They have construction going on right now so some of the areas are not accessible but hopefully they are all done my next summer.

The park is very beautiful. The children's playground and facilities are amazing. The game types are unique and fun. Unlike other places, I was surprised by the disciplined behavior of the children. What saddened me the most in this place was that I saw adults smoking cigarettes irresponsibly among many children. It is appropriate for the park staff to follow up and stop such behavior. Apart from this, the management and cleanliness of the park is also unique.

Thoroughly enjoyed this park. My wife and I were staying at the Delta hotel downtown and it was a short walk to this park. It was a hot day and we came here at about 10 pm for a nice walk around the park. There are washroom facilities available here. There is a spray park, riverside beach, walking trails, playground and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a great park in Kamloops this is the place for you.

A beautiful and expansive park along the river in downtown Kamloops. Lots of open green spaces, big play structures for the kids, and other sports facilities. A great place for a picnic or to daydream away an afternoon. Worth a visit!

I highly recommend Riverside Park as a fantastic place to visit. The incredible river view is absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The park also offers live music, which adds a vibrant and lively ambience to the surroundings. Moreover, the water games are a source of endless entertainment, with people of all ages joyfully splashing around and having a great time. Riverside Park truly captures the essence of fun and relaxation, making it the perfect destination for anyone seeking a memorable outdoor experience.

I was on my way back from Revelstoke and found this park near the beach. This park is recommended for everyone. There are picnic tables, a playground for the kids and you can go out swimming too but there are limits on how far you can go. It's also close to nice restaurants so you don't have to far to find something to eat.

I am not a localite and dont mean to be rude but it's an average park. Nothing great. Quite simple but peaceful. They also have a play area for kids. If you are not from Kamloops, then it's OK even if you don't visit. You are not missing out on something.

Went for a ‘Music in the Park’ free concert. However the wildfire smoke was getting thick, so we left early, as did others.
Very nice stage/venue for concerts & thanks to local sponsorship we understand these concerts are held regularly.

A shining example of a modern playground: rope structures, swings, rubberized ground, zip lines and musical instruments. Where this playground excels is the accessible features which include teeter totters, a merry-go-round and swings/zip line! Also, the splash park is single handedly the best splash park I've ever been to.

Beautiful wooded park with massive trees and a walkway near the meeting of 2 rivers, the Thompson North and South. You can actually see where the rivers meet due to the different colors of the rivers water. Beautiful flowers and lots of benches along the rivers edge!
The BC Wildlife Park is a vast animal rehabilitation and zoo facility that houses various animals indigenous to the area, such as arctic wolves and grizzly bears. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Kamloops Lake, go bird watching or hiking in Salmon Arm. The wildlife park also features an impressive Wild Lights display showcasing illuminated dragons, arches and dinosaurs. Don't miss the train journey for just one dollar, where you might wonder how Santa and his reindeers stay atop the mountain.
I absolutely adore this park! The staff always radiate happiness and extend a warm welcome to visitors. The entire facility is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. As for the animals, they appear genuinely content within their enclosures. The park's commitment to enrichment and providing cozy hiding spots truly stands out.
One of my favorite experiences is attending the delightful bird shows . The petting zoo boasts an impressive variety of animals, making it a must-visit.
But here's the real gem: the Christmas Light Up event. It's nothing short of remarkable! As a Kamloops resident, I find myself returning to this magical place at least once a month. It's simply that good!

I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Good way to kill a day with the little ones. Bunch of different rescue animals to check out. Even got a train that does a couple loops of the park. Worst part was a cheeseburger I ordered that I'm pretty sure wasn't meat(it was grey and slimy and tasted like freezer burnt cardboard) It inevitably found its way to the garbage after 2 bites. So if you eat at the Cafe order the wraps and not the burgers.

Loved it, it was a really fun experience! Each animal exhibit had lots of interesting information about that animal, the train ride was super fun, the park was really clean, and the gift shop had lots of cool things (I bought several items)! Loved spending the day here, I would visit again!

We always have a great time. Recommend getting there early, opens at 930.
We absolutely love seeing the birds of prey, and the grizzlies are always putting on a show. The kids love the park and the sprinkler park. Bring a blanket and picnic and set up on the big grassy lawn!
We also go every year around New Years for the Wild lights display

The admission was decent and they had a lot of different animals. Still was a bit disappointed to not being able to see the polar bears. I really liked the three legged Canadian Lynx they have here. Most of the cages are quite large and allow ample space to see the animal, specially the further in you go where they have the herbivores.

Great variety of rescued animals
Didn't get to see some animals as they were sleeping which is understandable.
Commendable rescue work!
Too many animals to list! Grizzly bear and cougar are there!

Really cool place! All the animals are rescues or rehabs. Seems the habitats are a little overgrown but we still saw the grizzlies, the kermodes bears, cougar, wolves, fox, elk, rams, mountain goats and so much more in the 1.5 hr we were there. Go early to beat the heat!

Wonderful little “zoo”. It’s great to see all the animals they rescue and give a second chance to. Fun little maze and train ride

I haven't been to something like this since I was 9 in Saskatoon at the zoo there.
This was really cool and I had a lot of fun coming here for the Easter event back in April. So many cool animals and the little train was fun.
The guy who carved the stone bear was really fun to talk to.

Always a fantastic experience at the Wild Animal Park. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are amazing, and we always enjoy viewing the many animals at the park. Always an educational and enjoyable experience and every single visit offers something just a little bit different! ... Gets better every time we visit! The Grizzlies were very active today and Uncle Chris the Clown seems to have become a regular at the park and the kids love taking a break and enjoying his antics! ... ... Wild Lights are also fantastic! Highly recommend an evening walk through the park!

Great place for kids and everyone to learn about the wildlife animals. Our kids loved all the exhibits. Since we were here on a hot August day, many of the animals were not out and visible. However, we did get to see the grizzlies which was most exciting for the kids. As well as the train ride, which was only $1 per ticket (bring cash).
Nice playground area for the kids. Lots of picnic tables in shaded areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Animals are well taken care of.

It’s a great wildlife zoo, very educational for kids and everyone to learn things about wildlife animals. During the time we went I guess was a bit too hot so some of animals hide inside, however we did see lots of animals. Make sure to get on the train for a quick tour it’s only a buck per person, what a deal. Overall, it’s a place you should visit if you are nearby the area.

Worthwhile. This is great for adults and children alike with a lot of interesting information available on many animals.
Got to see Clover the Spirit Bear, which was great, but also many other beautiful creatures living their lives in what appeared to be very nice, well-maintained and thoughtful conditions

Its natural content makes the environment beautiful and attractive. The wildlife sanctuary contains a variety of animals. Anyone visiting Kamloops should check this place out. There is ample parking space on site. It contains bears, wolves, eagles, foxes and other animals. It also has a playground for children. The employees are humble and sincere.
McArthur Island Park is a beautiful green space in the city with amenities like baseball and soccer fields, a 3-km loop path by the river, and a skate park. This park offers great opportunities for walking or biking as it has many places to rest and enjoy nature. The park is also home to friendly squirrels that visitors can encounter while sitting down.
My favorite place for my daily walks!
The park is very well maintained and has alot of amenities! My favorite thing about McArthur Island is seeing the deer, marmots, and beavers!
The park is also well lit for winter season so 6pm walks are bright and safe!

Went to Kamloops Gem Show that was held at the Sports Arena this month. After the show I decided to walked through the grounds in MacArthur Park on the way out.
They are very well maintained....beautiful green lawns and huge weeping birches with other variety of plants & seasonal flowers. Went to Xeriscape Garden, which is a lovely garden that offers a quiet space to sit and enjoy the tranquility of nature and is near the walking path.
The park itself is covers a vast area with walking trails thst encompass the whole park & along the west side, too.
Wildlife abounds in the park from squirrels, golden marmot, geese families, bear, many deer & bird species, occasionally cougars, and coyotes. It's a beautiful place to spend the afternoon or have a picnic.

Really nice park to walk or bike. I use to live very close to this park so I visited it frequently. Animals, running water, greenery, people... It had many places to stop and rest. The squirrels in this park are very nice! When I would sit down most of the time I'd have a squirrel appear in my lap lol I loved it! This park has a bit of everything.

Extremely well maintained. Lots of soccer fields baseball diamonds paved Pathway to walk the perimeter of the entire park. Even in a wheelchair.
Dogs are not allowed fortunately or unfortunately depending upon your viewpoint.
Lots of trees and vegetative growth. Is Not Unusual to see deer grazing near the paved path. You can literally walk past them and they will not run away a lot of the time.
There are also a lot of river views along the path. Marmots are also quite common and curious along the path. Benches with views of the river are scattered along the path as well.
Individuals Jog and families walk and ride bikes around the park. People are friendly and usually wave hello as you pass them going the other way. We love it!
Yes I almost forgot! There is a former 9-hole golf course that has been converted to a Frisbee Golf Course. And it is free. As well as a little mini golf course that is quite well maintained not fancy but fun. And it is also free. Bring your own balls in your own putter. Enjoy!
Privato Vineyard & Winery is a boutique vineyard situated in the river valley area, which specializes in producing Burgundy wines. The winery has a small tasting room and lawns for visitors to enjoy their delicious wines, particularly their Pinot Noir. It's considered as the premier winery on the Kamloops wine trail. It is the premier winery on the Kamloops wine trail. Delicious red wines, especially their Pinot Noir. Today their merlot was delicious. We had a cheese and charcuterie board. A nice soft cheese made in Salmon Arm, rain forest crisps, some tasty candied almonds, a Privato Pinot Noir jelly, and some olives. We enjoyed a flight of wine. A chardonnay, a sweet tasting house wine, and then their amazing pinot noir and merlot. A great way to spend an afternoon for my wife's birthday.

Excellent winery. A green oasis amid the dry hillsides. We arrived mid-afternoon on a 100⁰F Friday and it was busy in the tasting room but mostly quiet outside and pleasantly cool in the shade of the trees with our dogs. We enjoyed 2 tasting menus and a picnic basket charcuterie tray. Candace and team looked after us and answered our questions. Worth the drive!
Be careful with Google Maps directions when driving South along Highway 5. Don't take the Westsyde Road exit as Google may misdirect. Stay on 5 and take the McLure Ferry Road.

Down the road from the impressive and imposing Monte Creek is another winery proving that Climate Change is greatly expanding the potential of British Columbia to sow grapes. This is Harper’s Trail, and I must first thank them for even being open on a chilly March afternoon. Another winery whose name escapes me (obviously) had yet to open for the season. Unlike Monte, Harper’s Trail was unknown to me. I had not seen or even heard of them before. I appreciate their use of traditional grape varietals, proving their sustainability at this latitude. And given the human race has ignorantly walked past the tipping point to stop global warming, this sustainability will be easier in a region growing each year. Yes, hundreds of millions of lives are in danger across the world given our irresponsibility towards manmade climate change, but at least we’ll be able to grow grapes in Alaska eventually.
The winery itself is unpretentious and effective, a pastoral country theme with exposed natural wood all around. The view from outside is almost ominous, with distant mountains and massive empty blank fields. I enjoyed the wine as well, especially given they’re reasonably priced. There’s even a fantastic picnic area I wish we could have taken advantage of. Not only that, but my girlfriend got her bead (long story, she’s obsessed). Harper’s Trail is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming, and I recommend visiting Harper’s Trail after Monte, only because Monte can be a little overwhelming

Beautiful lake. Nice campground.
The campsites are far enough apart that you don't feel like you're sharing your campsite with your neighbors. The pads are fairly level compact gravel that can be a bit difficult to get tent stakes into. Sites have fire ring and picnic table. Vault toilets and water near sites, and flush toilet bathrooms near the lake. The camp host (Doug) is an awesome person who went out of his way to help by providing me with a battery charger and drove me to where there was power to charge my motorcycle battery when its charging system quit working. There's a dock on the lake for fishing, and a swimming area. Good campground that's' not far from Kamloops.

Great family oriented campground
We didn’t feel like we were piled up on top of each other, each site had its own space
Friendly staff
One sani dump available. Fee was $5. A bit of a technique to turn into sani dump area. It would be difficult if there were more than 3 trailers waiting.
Paul Lake is great for kayaking. However wind did come up quick. We saw a ripe swing off a random part of shore that people were using.
Camp ground is not located by the water but in very close proximity.

Beautiful recreation site, with a boat launch, and lots of picnic tables by the lake. There's a clearly marked trail that climbs gradually up to Gibraltar Rock; it's accessible in both summer and winter, which provides scenic views of the valley and lake below. The trail runs through the forest and is relatively easy, provided one wears runners or hiking footwear.

About 20 minutes' drive from Kamloops. The drive itself is beautiful. The turn off to the lake comes quickly so keep your eyes peeled for the brown "Paul Lake" sign on the right. The road to the campground and lake parking lot is narrow and very twisty: go slow. Soon you will get to a huge parking lot that stretches all the way to the east Gibraltar Rock trailhead, a short but demanding trek to a stunning view!
The lake is usually calm. Not a lot of sand and mostly grassy banks. The far east side is a dog area, with a fenced-off bulrush area where frogs can be heard. You may also see a loon or two.
Along the shoreline are endless piles of dried and partially dried Canada goose poo. For this reason, I'd recommend water socks or sandals and don't touch the poo. Inside the water, the bottom is soft and mucky for a while. This is why, in my opinion, Paul Lake is better for paddling or floating and also that signs have been posted warning of swimmer's itch (use waterproof sunscreen, take a shower after, avoid shoreline, etc.).
Overall very nice lake, lots of picnic tables, in-ground bbq grills, green grass, easy enough to get to, peaceful, with walking/hiking trails and an area to take your dog.

Paul Lake is massive compared to many of the campgrounds that we have been to. We saw a black bear on the road on the way in (bears are my favourite so that was a treat for me). This campground is well-treed, private, clean and has recycling/garbage bins and pit toilets. Our trip has included campgrounds all around BC and on Vancouver Island and Paul Lake is probably one of my favourites by far! There is no reception in this campground (non-issue for us as we like to disconnect but good to be aware of). We truly enjoyed our stay in this campsite and our site was huge compared to some of the sites we have stayed in! The ground was nice a flat which was awesome for renting it too! The lake was beautiful too, with a gorgeous picnic/day-use area. We felt very comfortable and safe, and got to hear all kinds of wonderful animals in the middle of the night (owls, wolves in the distance, etc).
My husband and I had so much fun here. We got to play for a while on our money. Which was such a refreshing change. It let you play up and down rather than eating all the money immediately. Casinos used to be more like this but not so much now. This place was fantastic!

Friday night dare night couldn't have been any nicer. We started with a nice meal in the Match Eatery. Sports themed pub with good food and friendly staff. Definitely try the deserts! We then decided to try the Casino. The front staff there were very friendly and helpful. A super clean environment and lots of slots and games to choose from. I foresee another date night here!

Just something about a full meal deal on happy hour prices. Covered all the food groups and then some 😋.

I accept that I'll go to a Casino to lose money. I'm spending it to be entertained. So where's the entertainment here? Where's the flash? The dash? The excitement. This place has hundreds of digital slot machines and nothing else. It's like a meat farm for getting addicts to push a button as many times per hour as possible.
Ditch the awful digital machines. Go analog. Make your slot machines old school pull handle style. Have a couple dozen of them. Add some variety. Real things. I'll happily keep dropping money into something to watch a puck or marble drop through a board. Rock the roulette. Games of actual hands on chance. Put an exotic fountain in the middle of the floor. Get creative. Make the place an experience. Not an addict farm. Right now it just feels like it has no style or substance. All I saw was a couple dozen locals sitting quietly in front of digital slot machines button tapping their savings away.

Only there for the poker game, Texas no limit hold-em, so can't comment as to the rest. Staff were professional and friendly. Dealers know what they are doing and kept the game moving at a reasonable pace. Poker game itself was alright, 4 of the players at my table were of the I only play queens, kings and aces, but I'll mix it up with jacks once in a while to keep my table image loose, variety. Besides that there was a good mix of recreational players coming through the game. Could have used another server or two, but that seems to be the norm everywhere these days. My only complaint is that you can't order food in the casino, something too do with the cash register system in place, was the reason I got. Anyways to sum it up,
Cleanliness
-Casino 5/5
-Bathrooms 5/5
Food -match public house 5/5
Overall the casino feels modern and well maintained 5/5.
Staff -friendly, professional and helpful but a bit hard to find at times 4/5.
Smokers patio-clean, comfortable seating, nicely decorated 5/5.

A nice small town casino. It had all the casino things you expect although it was quieter than some and that could be an advantage. I kind of missed the clanking of coin payouts. Sad the buffet may never reopen after covid.

Smaller casino, with blackjack only available Wednesday through Sunday. We were there on a Monday night, so we were bummed. My buddy got the $20 new member sign up. He hit $50 and cashed out. We had dinner next door. Quick in and out.

Always have been checking just one piece of ID but today I wasn't dressed too well and they decided to give me special treatment and ask two pieces of ID while I didn't have it with me. For that, they get a one star. You get what you give

Casino had good variety of games. Washrooms had no paper towel and garbage cans were over full and spilling over. Machines looked like they maybe get wiped down once a week, pretty gross. Outdoor sitting area was covered in dust and nasty. The pub had great priced food abd friendly staff.

Had not even touched a machine / used the ATM st the back. $400 approved on my card, but money was jammed in machine, would not open. Everi E machine - atm guys came and unharmed the machine - lo and behold there was my $400 but because the atm guy had touched it the casino staff, which were hard to find - no one with any authority / their big bully bouncer ejected me because the bank I phoned told me to call the police , told me never to come back - I had told other customers not to use that ATM - as if I would EVER go back in that dismal joint . The onus was on me to get my money back - number they gave me for the ATM company doesn’t work - it cost me 400.0O to use their bathroom and I am 73 yrs old, banned from going back because THEIR machine was defective - very bad way to attract the public -

Can't say enough about downtown Kamloops having a dog friendly relaxed park where a dog can have a swim. Washrooms drinking fountain park benches clean where else do we have such Luxurys.

This park and beach has a nice landscape view and some sand to play around. However, the beach is quite small and the sand won’t stop “Anakin Skywalker”. The Fall view is nice too when I visited but the trees don’t turn red like the east coast. You have washroom here for convenience.

Riverside for local people could park vehicle easily and let puppies enjoy in this park.
Clean and nice place, but not fully developed by years. Should add more felicities and repair some broken stuffs.
Very comfortable place as dog park and riverside.
Historical location to visit, but unfortunately the museum near by has permanently closed, which is sad.

It's alright. Lots of loose dogs running after their balls. It is a landmark for Kamloops youth. Many gather in the park for sun bathing or toss a ball. That is if the loose dog didnt snatch it first. Lots of parking and a public toilet. What's not to like?

Peterson Creek Park is a serene and picturesque park located in Kamloops. The park boasts elevated hiking trails that lead to small waterfalls, making it a popular destination for hikers and cyclists alike. It is conveniently situated downtown, offering visitors easy access to the beautiful scenery. The main paved walking path is stroller-friendly and great for sharing with others.
It's a great park in the city to do a quick hike. Some trails are narrow but challenging enough to have an adventure. Specially during the winter, you may need to be extra careful for the slipperyness. There are plenty of viewpoints to see the highway and the beige and the Thompson River valley. The park is accessible from many sides and one of the best views in the city. There are park bench on the top of the mountain.

FUN! I have ALWAYS wanted to hike up in these trails, constantly driving on the Red Bridge looking in awe at the trails & people enjoying, but in all of my years never have until now. I was happy to be able to do so with my family as well. It wasn’t the easiest drive, at least the way google GPS took me, but we got there & tons of parking! We went for the waterfall, so we followed trail markers leading to it. We did ignore the signs of warning & knew the risks. We took the “easiest/safest” route & made it safely to/from. We were not disappointed & I am sure would be greater in size around spring, early summer. Definitely a lovely hike & easily managed by myself, my husband who is seeing impaired & our girls 10 & 12. We took one way to the falls & a different way back. All views lovely & we enjoyed the diversity of the vegetation we walked through. So glad we took the time. From parking lot to falls & back, 1 hour. Well maintained & super tidy. Graffiti is disappointing to see but what can one do. Enjoy your hike, be mindful of dangers & make choices appropriate to your abilities.

Beautiful scenic walk if you are able to hike or cycle on narrow paths...the main paved walking path is great for strollers and sharing the path. Dog friendly but seriously DOG Owners need to be responsible and pick up after their animals... the trail wreaks of dog feces on a warm day

One of my favorite trails. It leads to beautiful waterfalls you can stand underneath. Clean trails. But where you go off the trail a bit to get to the waterfalls, so if you dont mind a little climbing its worth it. There are also alot more tarils to explore on this on. Still need to that lol amd take alot of pics.

Wow in downtown Kamloops! I have seen this waterfall while driving past on highway many times. I wanted to see it up close and so glad I finally did. There are paths to choose for all hiking abilities but they don't all show the fall. The trails throughout are well used. Take caution as some are very narrow, some steep with loose dirt/gravel or stairs.

This place felt like a hidden gem in Kamloops. We stumbled upon it while driving around town. This park feels like it's in the middle of downtown Kamloops lol. I went here a handful of times after I found it until we moved from Kamloops. It's a very relaxing walk, my little doggo with luxating patella had no struggles going through it and you're rewarded with a little waterfall at the end! :)

Great trail for family or individual hiking, the trails are categorized into 3 different difficulty depending on inclination. There is also a water fall but it is not part of the trail, you have to walk up a sketchy and kind of dangerous trail but it's worth the walk. The are a lot of entrance to the trail the 2 main ways are from downtown or from sahali secondary.
Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area boasts an array of hiking trails, rivers, lakes and diverse wildlife such as bighorn sheep. The natural beauty of the sprawling grasslands with its mesmerizing colours is an ideal location for photography enthusiasts. Trekking through steep gradients with loose dirt and stones requires proper footwear, trekking poles and experience. Additionally, visitors can engage in fishing on Lac Du Bois Lake while exploring the vastness of the park.
Amazing so many different places to see in the Grasslands but have done Saddleback area, and the most wonderful Cinnamon Ridge. Very dangerous. Need great hiking boots, trekking poles and experience hiking steep gradients with loose dirt and stone. Was a crazy feat just making to back down the ridge.

My first time here and the kids first time skiing. I found this place on Google, and the positive reviews do not do this place enough justice. I've been to a handful of ski resorts and skiing locations, but this was one of my best experiences. To start, the staff here were all extremely friendly and accomodating from fitting to tickets to the restaurant. The staff on the lifts were also very helpful with the kids, especially because they were first timers on the slope. The instructor, Cameron, was awesome. Shout out to him as he approaches his 50th year of teaching! The other main reason why we'd come back to Harper was the lack of lines. Whether it was the tow bar or T Bar lifts, there was virtually no wait time which made it that much more fun for everyone. One word of advice for visitors not accustomed to driving on cold or snowy conditions, make sure to check the weather report and bring chains. It snowed the second day, so we had to pull over on the side of the mountain to put on chains. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip early due to an injury, but we may make this an annual thing.

A Hidden Gem of Kamloops, must visit if you're into skiing/snowboarding or just want to check out the hill and perhaps do some tubing with the Kids.
The only Night Skiing / Snowboarding available in the area and it's a blast with a few friends.
Don't forget to stop in at the lodge after riding to warm up and have some drinks and food near the fireplace.
Close to town, friendly local vibe and all around great family fun.

I'm there often. Getting books out, checking games out with my son, and using their printers. I've never had a negative interaction there, ever.
What made me decide to actually leave this review today was a phone call I just made to them after having troubles finding their weekly hrs of operation. The incredible lady I spoke to was probably the nicest person I've ever spoken to over the phone, and I ended our interaction with a smile on my face. That short 30 second interaction made my day, because everyone is so unhappy nowadays; and they project that during interactions a lot of the time.
Always a great place to visit.

Such a good library, the washrooms are immaculate and the staff are friendly. I also appreciate the presence of the full time security guard. Keep up the good work TNRD. *****Actually after this review and subsequent visits I lower my view because of the weapon policy that the library has. There was a man openly wearing a large knife on his belt and the security guard said it’s allowed in Kamloops but not in Kelowna or Vancouver. I’m not sure if she is making it up or if that is correct. TNRD should have a policy where libraries are weapon free zones. No person needs to enter a library with a weapon out in the open. There is no need for it in a safe community zone. It seems absurd it’s allowed in Kamloops but other cities have banned it. Again I feel it’s absurd children should have to navigate the facility when a man is wearing a large knife on his hip. This happened on March 24, 2022 at 2:10pm.

The BIG Little Science Centre is an educational and entertaining destination for children between the ages of 2 and 10. The venue offers a wide range of exhibits, experiments, and activities that encourage curiosity and exploration in young minds. Even teenagers can enjoy the various interactive displays available at the centre. Housed in a renovated school gym, this attraction provides a contained space where kids can learn while having fun.
