Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is a renowned tourist destination in Vancouver, offering visitors the opportunity to experience British Columbia's natural beauty. The park features a 137-meter-long treetop bridge that provides breathtaking views of the forest below. This adventure-filled park also includes the Treetops Adventure, an easy hike along surrounding trails, and a visit to Capilano River Hatchery where one can witness salmon jumping upstream.
Went for the Love Lights, and it was so beautiful!!!! Lights were even on during the day, but it is more magical at night. Parking is across the street from entrance, was $6 for 3hrs. Went around 4pm so we could experience the lights during the day and night sky. It was a weekday, so wasn't very busy and we had great photos without people in the background. It was chilly at first but with all the walking you warm up really fast. Super romantic yet family friendly. Totally worth it go to especially if you're a BC resident so you get an annual pass for the price of one visit. My only wish is that it stayed open longer because once the sky gets dark around 5pm we only had 1 hr to enjoy the lights since it closed at 6pm. We spent 2 hrs there, got to see everything, but I wish we stayed longer. Overall, TOTALLY WORTH IT TO GO!!!

I think this park would be most enjoyed by families with adventurous kids or adults that are excited by heights.
Being neither, we found the enjoyment that we got from the park to be a bit unworthy of the cost.
The main feature, the suspension bridge, is very cool. I liked learning about it and traversing it a few times back and forth. But that bridge is simply not worth the $66 (CAD) adult ticket. And the other additions to the park (the cliff walk, the treetop adventure, and the neat birds) didn't quite make up the difference for us either.
Especially when you can find a suspension bridge (that is not quite as high or as long) a short drive away at Lynn Creek Canyon for free.
So again, I think for families with kids, this would probably be a really fun way to spend an afternoon. Do keep in mind that everything cool in the park requires you to cross the 270ft/70m high bridge that moves with every step someone makes. So if your kid (or you for that matter) can't make it over the bridge, then you can't access any of the other park features except the cliff walk, the gift shop, and the restaurants.
As an additional note, we were there while the special Halloween decorations were up and we really loved that addition. We also saw that a Christmas light display would be following it. This DID add to the value for us and I would recommend that other try to time their visits to the park with some thing special like that.

This was a great park, just large enough to go through with kids in tow without tiring them out too much. I could see how weekends might be really busy and I would probably opt for weekday if you can to really enjoy the views it is a hefty priced ticket so you want to make sure you get max value. I will say this park is not for anyone that has a fear of heights - there is a suspension bridge with quite a bit of movement even with minimal people on the bridge - it is a good distance to the other side so please be aware. That being said the views from
The various bridges, the birds of prey, totem poles all made it pretty interesting and worthwhile for us.

We had an amazing and rainy visit to the suspension bridge and park! Our girls loved the explorer program and the views were breathtaking. We ate lunch at the cliff side restaurant, walked all of the trails including the cliff walk. So amazing. Even the gift shop was great!
Jeremy Ferman — Google review
All I can say is "wow!" They did an amazing job creating this aerial park which has no steep slopes at all. The gift shop was also amazing, which had various unique souvenirs, as well as collectible art pieces. The ticket price includes a shuttle ride from Canada Place at the Waterfront. Pictures don't do it justice; it really must be appreciated in person. I would highly recommend going early in the morning when there are fewer people for good photo ops.

This is such a fun and must-see place to go! Even when it's a little wet, it's a lot of fun. There is food available there, you can easily spend a half-day exploring the different levels of this park. With lots of rest areas, it's a moderate climb, but still totally doable if you're working on your fitness journey.
I definitely recommend going earlier, before 11am as it definitely starts to get busy after that. I really appreciated the free, year-round shuttle, it really sold me on visiting.
Lucinda Gonzales — Google review
Amazing park with a lot of beautiful nature and some historical facts as well. You get a great view of everything from all the different lookout points and everything is very walkable. Bridge is very strong, but does move a little bit when walking on it. We also really loved the gift shop and bought quite a few things there. We did everything in about 2 hours.

We decided to brave the cold snap in January and come to the Suspension Bridge. It was very quiet and nice to have lots of space to ourselves. The staff were very friendly, they had many heat stations set up and all the food vendors were still open. We had a blast and loved all the lights. They also do lights for Valentine’s Day if you don’t want to brave the cold. We can’t wait to come back in the summer. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Vancouver!
Shae Rea — Google review
The winter lights were stunning!!! I had bought tickets in advance and was subsequently dreading going because the forecast was freezing cold weather. So so glad I bundled up and came. The bridge itself is gorgeous at night time but the rest of the park is something else! I loved the tree walk high above the ground. The lights were extraordinary. Even with lots of people on a sold out night, the park felt large enough to accommodate everyone outside distanced safely. The hot chocolate is a must try. Great family friendly activity

The trip to Capilano was beautiful and far exceeded our already high expectations. Free shuttle to and from the Hyatt downtown on a clean coach bus, beautiful 20min drive to the park. No wait to get in, not crowded, quite peaceful (we went on a Wed around 4pm, perfect time to avoid crowds and get the evening discount). I have never been to a park so clean, well constructed and finished so beautifully. The bridge itself is very cool, but the other add-on courses/trails were an extra bonus. There is a treetop bridge course, a pond trail, and a nature’s edge walk. All trails are wood-boarded so you don’t have to worry about mud/getting your shoes dirty. The views are spectacular, of the mountains, water below, and the vast forest surrounding. Very well done. As someone who is not a huge nature person, I absolutely loved the experience. Very much worth the trip, and you get a bang for your buck. One of my favourite things we did while in Vancouver. Thank you Capilano for an amazing time!

This park really is a must see in Vancouver. The price of admission is expensive but it is definitely with the money. The park is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is perfectly maintained and sparkling clean. The employees are super friendly and helpful. The forest is lush, peaceful and amazing. The long suspension bridge is very exciting to cross and there are several other shorter suspension bridges connected from tree to tree. I have never seen anything like this anywhere else. They also have a couple of cafe’s and a large gift shop. There is a covered pavilion and plenty of places to rest and relax along the trails. Most of the trails through the forest are beautiful wooden boardwalks. AMAZING! Parking lot is right across the street.

Great family event. You need a couple of hours. Have lots of opportunities for pictures. Need to take the suspension bridge to get to the scenery side. Tour guides are very informative. Great with kids that are adventurous and like forestry. Very safe.

Absolutely beautiful outdoor excursion. Had an amazing time walking through the uniquely built suspended walkways. The staff was kind and helpful when my group was asking questions. Beautiful exhibits of First Nation history, supplies, and tools. Good food and cute little gift shop that is decorated with a warm log-cabin feeling.

Nice park with lots of walking opportunities for families.
Went end of October so everything was Halloween themed which was probably great for the children.
Easy walks and some good photo opportunities. I spotted an eagle so there might be a little wildlife involved 🤩
Treetop walk can be crowded!

Park is clean, organized, and scenery is beautiful.
You can save $3.00 per ticket by purchasing the tickets on the website in advance.
Many people recommended visiting after dusk during the holiday season for the Christmas lights display. Reservation is recommended.
I did enjoy the less crowded scenery and able to walk around without the rush, long line, or the crowd and during the warmest time of the day. 😁😉
Suspension bridge, nature's edge and Cliff Walk were all amazing. Estimated time to walk through the park leisurely is about 2 hours for us.
There's a shuttle service to and from the park. Thankful 🥰😇🙏.

Visited in the spring and had a wonderful experience. We took the free shuttle from downtown Vancouver and enjoyed the ride up to the park. The views were spectacular and air felt clean and crisp. There were some interactive activities happening that day and there were many boards/signs displaying names and historical facts throughout the park. There are a range of paths to choose from, some harder than others. The bridge itself is an amazing experience to walk over. It does get busy so expect people to stop and take pictures. You will likely feel the bridge move or even sway. We had lots of fun and were able to finish everything in 2 hours before hopping back on the free shuttle. Oh, and we also received a certificate of completion on our way out. Highly recommend!

Good place to take the kids, not sure if adults would be very fascinated by this place. It's nice to look around, but there are better places to visit for the money we spend here. It's almost 67 bucks for an adult.
A one time visit would be recommended to learn about the rainforest ecosystem and see the beautiful gorges, also the time we visited the tree houses were shut down for maintenance :( so there was a 10% discount on the ticket.
The cliff walk was nice.
There are numerous cafes and washrooms are clean.

We loved this place. It’s like an outdoor theme park, with the suspension bridge as the highlight. We went a few months ago when the weather was great and had a nice time. The place is big and well laid out. While it’s big, there are still long lines and it can feel a little crowded. It’s very clean and the staff take care of the grounds and keep it tidy. There are lots of signs pointing attractions and things out as there’s an education here. They have a nice souvenir shop and the offer some food and drink too. While it’s a bit pricey, you can actually make a day of it. There is decent parking although that’s probably something that can be improved. I also totally recommend buying tickets in advance. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to people who are looking for something outdoorsy and fun to do.

This place is so cool and so wholesome, everyone should go here. The forest is beautiful, and the bridges, decks, and platforms are carefully curated to allow you to interact with the forest without being obtrusive. The main bridge is super cool, with just the right amount of bounce, but the Cliff Walk is where the real thrills are. And the Treetop Adventure is so enchanting, it's like being in an Ewok village. And the complementary shuttle literally from the door of our hotel streamlined the visit perfectly. Definitely go here. It's worth the trip.

Lovely place to enjoy the nature from the heights, the suspension bridge is nice experience, my kid enjoyed a lot walking on the bridge. We went yesterday, there were showers intermittently, however enjoyed the rain forest with rain. Walking on other wooden bridges also give you nice experience if you're visiting for the first time. Ticket price is on the higher side, visiting in the lights is worth the experience as well, in the entrance you can see the Totem poles, don't miss the board walk and photo frame view.

Tickets are a little bit expensive
You can have daily pr yearly pass tickets. .
If you buy it online you can save 5-10%
The staff in the park are really nice and helpful
There are cafes and restaurants there.
The experience of walking on bridge and learning about the history of the place us really good.
It is also good to understand the information provided in different places about trees and animals
Also very nice place for children for playing and learning

Many claim it's an overpriced tourist trap, but I spent 3 hours here with my daughter, and we enjoyed it very much! There are a lot of areas to explore and definitely a good family adventure. I have a fear of heights, and the main bridge was rough, but I'm so happy I took the chance on this park! Buy your tickets in advance for a bit of a discount. The shuttle bus was appreciated!

Great place! We took our time and spent a few hours here. The Treetops Adventure is worthy and manageable. It is an easy walk across short, stable suspended bridges (not wobbly). The Cliffwalk was scarier than the suspended bridge (in my opinion), but also very doable. Beautiful scenery. Educational opportunities (in writing and with guides) throughout. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful park. We arrived early and it wasn't too crowded. Parking and access was very easy. The suspension bridge was wobbly, but that adds to the experience. The tree canopy walk is fun and great for small children and adults. The cliff walk was beautiful and had great viewpoints of the bridge and river below.

Visiting this place on Halloween was like stepping into a magical wonderland. The enchanting lighting transformed it into a fantasy realm, making every corner feel surreal and captivating. It was a truly mesmerizing experience, and I couldn't help but feel like I'd entered a world of dreams. The attention to detail and the creativity in the decorations were outstanding. It was a Halloween night I'll never forget, filled with enchantment and wonder. A truly spellbinding experience!

Drove up from Seattle to see the lights. 2 1/2 hour drive and short 20 minutes to cross the border. Was WELL worth it! Went at 3:30 p.m. so as to walk around and see the lights at dusk. Park started filling up more after our arrival. Staff was very friendly, and paths are well marked. Highly recommend. The bridge does sway and bounce, so consider that if there are issues with walking. However, there are other paths within the woods that also provide fantastic views of the lights and surroundings.

The faculty were so nice and helped answer questions. The heat lamps and hot chocolate were a perfect halfway point to warm up in the rain. The lights were gorgeous, especially the reflections over the waters. The bridge views were breathtaking, and this was an exciting first time at that height. My husband and I got some great pictures. This place feels like a fairy tale!

Nice place to spend time in the nature. Clean fresh air throughout just sitting here for an hour feels relaxing. The bridge itself is fine. Shakes quite a bit if there are more people. Walking on it is fine if you have confidence and don’t feel dizzy. There are quite a few small trails which can easily be covered in about an hour. There is a gift shop, eatery and clean bathrooms. Parking is on same street and costs about CAD $8 for 4 hours. Entrance fee is quite expensive though. But a must visit place if around Vancouver.

This was an awesome stop for a couple hours. The suspension bridge is exhilarating and offers a fantastic view of the area as well as the cliff climb too! They’re rebuilding the tree walls but those look like they will also be really cool!

A must do attraction in Vancouver! Breathtaking, beautiful place! 😍 the suspension Bridge is a unique experience, not too rocky but steady enough to walk across for all ages. You can also see totem poles from earlier inhabitants. If you are not into heights, just go and walk around, enjoy the beautiful scenery!

We visited as part of a tour and right before peak season started. It is an amazing stretch of nature and scenic views. The bridge is fun and learning about its beginnings and change of engineering is great. Our tour guide said it gets very busy during season so beware.

Great bonding experience!! This is a must-see place when you go to Vancouver.
The place is very accessible since there is a FREE Shuttle going to and from the Park. Could you believe that? All you have to do is enjoy the breathtaking view of the place. We went there when its raining but you could still enjoy everything.. There is a map of the place and suggestion on where to go first. The Suspension Bridge is the highlight of the place but the scene across the bridge is also as equally beautiful. There are safety precautions as well so no need to worry about anything.
There is also a some restaurants inside although only one was open when we went there, probably coz its not yet summer.
There are washrooms located around the park and adequate amount of parking slot are available as well but I suggest just avail the free shuttle as it will go directly to the place and there are stops along downtown and major streets so you won’t need to worry anything.
Online booking is also available but there are ticket booths available in the entrance as well. Don’t forget to mention that you are a BC residents as well as one could enjoy a year-long pass as long as you’re a BC Resident.
We will definitely go back here to experience again the magic..

Amazingly beautiful spot! There are different paths to walk, including the treetop route. The only drawback is that it is crowded, so at times you where basically waiting in line, but not everywhere. There is a lot of walking, stairs, and some long inclines, but there are areas that are flat, and easy to walk. As a fan of "Pysch", the TV show, it was an added bonus to see where an episode was filmed.

We visited during the Love Lights at 7pm. It wasn't super crowded. We took our time so that the main crowd could make their way through and we enjoy it with less people. I highly recommend visiting late. It was great enjoying the lights in peace.
The lines moved quickly and the brownie hot chocolate was delicious!

I really enjoyed this place. The suspension bridge is very long and I walked inside the forest through suspension bridges with huge trees, each of which is more than half a meter in diameter. The distance to cross the forest is long and there are several places to rest, although some places require an adventure to cross. The weather was sunny and beautiful, the air was fresh and the services excellent, The admission rates online for adult ages 17-64 $54.95 and for senior 65+ $49.95 ,I highly recommend.
Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is a stunning attraction located in a 617-acre forest in North Vancouver, offering hiking trails and swimming holes. This hidden gem is an excellent location for Instagram-worthy photos and is less crowded than the nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Visitors can expect beautiful scenery, but should bring appropriate footwear for muddy trails and be prepared for stairs if doing the loop trail. The visitor center provides interesting information about the area. There are also plenty of additional trails to explore within the park.
This place is absolutely fabulous! Beautiful scenery. We went on week day and it wasn’t busy. The trails were a bit muddy so bring the right shoes. If you do the loop be prepared for a lot of stairs. There were more trails to explore that I need to plan time for next. The visitor center (has a different name) was really great and had a lot of interesting information as well.

I took my young kids and warned them ahead of time that suspension bridges can be a little scary and they don't have to do it if they don't want... But we were all in for a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge! It was incredibly well built and sturdy. It didn't wobble as much as other suspension bridges I've been on. I felt very safe having my children on there.
As for the view - WOW! Spectacular. And definitely high enough to give you butterflies when you look down.
I recommend solid hiking shoes... A lot of rocks and roots on the paths. At the thirty foot pool, there were a lot of people swimming... If that interests you then dress appropriately! Be aware - signs are all over the park warning visitors of the dangers of cliff jumping. There have been many injuries and some fatalities (shown in a graphic at the beginning of the trail.)
If I ever visit the area again, I will definitely plan to go back! Highly recommend

Amazing place to spend your time with friends and family, also a great idea for hiking and swimming in the lake pool. It's free of entry ticket, but have to pay for parking. There's public washroom, table, and a food shop. A loop trail takes about one hour hiking, in the meantime, You can enjoy the water, and nice environment. Highly recommended to visit this place.

Excellent free suspension bridge and trails to some lovely pools & streams. There are limited parking spaces at the designated parking lot. The app they want you to use to pay for parking (12 CAD for 4 hours, including tax) will NOT download onto phones registered to other countries. Thankfully, there is one paying machine but it is NOT located within the car park! It is located at the entrance to the path leading to the Ecology Centre.

I went with a private guide from hi Canada hostels names Erik
He gave as an amazing cheap tour with a lot of stories.
The park was amazing and swimming is definitely recommend!
The water was fresh but really clean.
The hike is medium long and a little bit uneven but for fit sportive people no problem.
Take sun cream and a hat and take care of bears. In small group they might come.
The park it self is amazing with super high trees and a small river and waterfalls everywhere.
Cliff jumping is possible but really dangerous and not recommended.
All in all I can just say how happy I was with my trip and I would do it all over again!
If you can get a tour with Erik then it’s even better then alone !
Enjoy your walk !

I've gone here a few times and I will definitely be coming back. The bridge had an amazing view and is great for pictures but the bridge is often busy. The parking lot is normally full but people constantly come and go so it's pretty easy to get a spot. the hike is beautiful and I definitely recommend looking at the 30 ft pool (I don't fully remember the name) the 30 ft pools water is this unique emerald green color that I've never seen. A little secret people dont know is that if you go down the rocks to the water and look up the stream (where the water is flowing from) you'd see this waterfall but be careful on rainy days or wet days because the rocks can get very slippery. Also just a reminder to never go to far from the trail because it's very easy to get lost!

Love it 😍 love it , as always great place to do light hikes ( under an hour) or hard core hikes and swim (0ver 4 hours).
Breath taking deep woods/ trees 🌲 and scenery, typical of BC.
Nice public facilities and lately a good coffee shop added.
A must visit if you are in Vancouver , in summer or even in winter.
Pick your hike carefully, specially if you have non-hikers or older parents with you, to avoid over stretching one’s capabilities, as walk to gorge could be steep up or down.
Ample parking ( paid) or you can always park near by on street with in a few minute walk.
Enjoy the nature at its best

I was here 20 years ago. Forgot about it and came with coworkers after a friend recommended it. We were glad we did. The fresh air, flowing water ambience was very nice after a full day of flights ✈️. The exercise helped feel that my day wasn't wasted. Nice to see the youth swimming. If I had known, I might have prepared differently. Parking was full so we had to find room on a side road.

Super cool place to walk around. We only did a couple of the trails but it's so pretty here. This is a place that I will return to when we have more time and walk as much of it as we can. It was pretty busy and parking was a little tough but that's what a Saturday and really nice weather gets you. I say this is a must stop for anyone in the area. The bridge was cool but the surrounding area was also just as cool.

Great free alternative to the Capilano Suspension bridge! Only have to pay to park, was able to find parking at 10:30 on a Wednesday. Lots of different trail options once you cross the bridge. Even saw park rangers walking around which was reassuring. Be prepared for lots of stairs!

Totally worth visiting! First it’s free!!! We gave up going to Capilano Suspension Bridge because it was $60 dollars for the entrance ticket.
Secondly it’s so beautiful. You can just walk around, see the waterfall, maybe swim in the cold water if you dare, there’s some really tall trees. You can walk around with your dog on a leash. You can do the trails, there’s a lot of walking to do and maybe get some coffee in the cafe. It’s a nice experience for a relaxing day.

Awesome place to see a suspension bridge and enjoy some hikes with free access.
We had such a good time but it can be tricky to find a spot to park. However you can find a place to park in the neighbourhood.
This is not as spectacular as the Capilano Suspension bridge but it’s totally worth it and the area is designed to be walkable for everyone.
You can also enjoy some ice cream and food as some food trucks come nearby the bridge.

We went here on a Wednesday around lunch time and had lunch at the restaurant on site. It's pricey, so I would recommend packing food and using the picnic area. We hiked for quite a while. I will say that signage wasn't as clear as it could be on the trail, we did get a little lost and ended up walking to an adjacent park. I am thankful I had my Google maps app with me. We did come across a swimming area, very beautiful. The suspension bridge is right at the entrance, so you will cross it twice- once to get into the rest of the park and then on the way out. Lots to see and do and we spent about 4 hours there. We took the public transit from our hotel to Lynn Canyon, so worth it. The transit system in Vancouver is really clean, quick and easy to navigate. Definitely worth visiting and a cheaper alternative to Capulano Suspension bridge as the entrance is free.

Today, we visited the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge, which was remarkably beautiful. It was quite windy, making hiking the optimal choice. The lakeside scenery at Lynn Canyon is truly picturesque, and the morning is the best time to experience its relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Some individuals enjoy swimming and picnicking in this area. I have a strong affinity for this place, especially since it’s an ideal option for novice hikers.

Went there yesterday evening. It’s in North Vancouver easily accessible by public transit as well. There’s a paid parking for 4 hours and you can also find a free parking on the street. Very beautiful place with a view of a water fall from the suspension bridge. Bridge is not as wide and long as capilano one but it’s free and definitely worth visiting. Inside the forest was also very fresh and peaceful. It wasn’t muddy at all. All trails were good. There’s a cafe as well just near the bridge entrance.

Not very difficult but still challenging. The bridge cross is exciting both visually and physically. The trails are easy to walk and walking in nature is very relaxing. Beautiful Park with majestic trees and stunning views. The trails are well defined and although there are areas with many stairs, it is worth walking the trail and going down to the river. The tranquility and the smell of the trees, plus the sound of the water running from the river was a wonderful experience. You don't need to pay to enjoy this beautiful place because it is completely free. I recommend you to use proper shoes. Grouse Mountain is a renowned peak located on Vancouver's North Shore that boasts a popular ski resort and offers summer activities such as hiking and sports. A well-known trail known as the Grouse Grind provides an accessible, albeit steep and rugged, hike up the mountain for those who are fit and determined to tackle it. Visitors can expect to pay $64 per person for lift access and $10 for parking all day.
Grouse is such a nice place to take your family if you ever visit North Vancouver. The family pass was $119 which is so expensive for a day pass trip up the mountain. Even worse, the family pass isn't available for the 50% discount that the other passes are eligible for. The one-time child ticket is $36 and the one-time adult pass is $69. Toddlers are free. The annual pass is $229 for an adult, $199 for a senior, $159 for a youth, $119 for a child; and $10 for a toddler. These passes are good value as it allows you to have unlimited access to Grouse throughout the year. All prices can be seen on the Grouse Mountain website. We went to the light trail which was a really nice trail in the mountain with lots of lights in the snow and on the trees. The path was quite icy and I often had to stray from the trail to make sure I didn't slip on the ice. The path was littered with the gravel to help give traction, but it provided little help in stopping us from slipping. The reindeer were a fun thing to see for the kids, who enjoyed it. They also loved playing in the snow just off the path a bit, where the snow was deeper. All in all, the experience was very fun and the buildings were very warm when we stopped to take a break. The view, although cloudy, was beautiful from above, especially with the sun setting. I do recommend purchasing the season pass if you are planning to visit Grouse Mountain more than once, instead of spending lots of money on the family pass.

Definitely a one time visit. The lift price was 64$ per person. Parking available in the location. It is 10$ to park for the whole day. Starbucks by the ticket counter and a restaurant and cafe on top of the mountain. The light walk was okay, could have been great if more lights were added.

It’s disgraceful that BC residents getting outdoors and climbing Grouse Grind and then have to pay $20 person just to get a ride down on the gondola. 🚠 imagine the healthy lifestyle it would promote for local residents to climb mountain and the get a ride down for free. Such a money grab and not to mention the exorbitant costs of drinks and food on mountain. $30 for 2 juices and a water 😂🤯

Very scenic ride up. We watched the lumberjack show and the bird show. Both were excellent as is the best habitat. The chair lift offers amazing views of Vancouver. All the shows and rides are included.
Don’t forget to take your own water - at $5 for 500 ml that’s one thing I consider a rip-off.

The true peak of Vancouver was such a delight to visit. From bears to lumberjacks there’s quite a bit to see on the mountain and not just it’s amazing views of the city, mountains and ocean.

I was there on a cold and rainy day. I took the Skyride and was in the cafes there for almost an hour. The atmosphere was great and the view was stunning. It is a "must" to visit if you are traveling to Vancouver

Love the mountain! Aiming for 50 days this season. Over the past few months, I got to know the staff pretty well and made friends with a few of them - good vibes, good people, beautiful mountain!

Great place to explore. Go really early as you can wait up to 30 min for the gondola to go down. Wear good shoes as it can be very muddy.

What a wonderfully pleasant surprise it was to see grizzly bears up close and in-person! We were not expecting that from our visit. The speaker who taught us about the bears was phenomenal! On top of that, the hiking, lumberjack show, and view from the gondola made this an unforgettable experience.

This was our 3rd stop on our tour from Westcoast Sightseeing tours. We had an awesome time there. Started off with gondola ride up to the peak of the mountain, which had breathtaking views. But it was pretty crowded. The guide that was on the ride to the top and back down were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the mountain and surrounding areas. Once we reached the top we were free to explore. There was a welcoming building and casual restaurant off to the right with burgers, hotdogs, fries and drinks. A large fire pit area, walking trails,an area where you can see their resident bears. A short ski lift ride to the very top of the mountain. Where there’s more spectacular views and more hiking trails. Also a zip line experience starts up here. (Additional rates). Back at the bottom of the ski lift, we enjoyed a Canadian dessert called “Beaver Tail”. Not like what it sounds like, but a deep fried dough in the shape of a beaver tail with different toppings. The time spent here was a memorable one for it was the first time the kids touched and played in the snow. The staff was so friendly and nice. Lots of free parking at the bottom, but unfortunately I didn’t get the prices of the ride and zip line. But it’s worth it, especially on the tour we had. Recommended!

Grouse is a very beautiful mountain where you can go hiking as well as see some splendid views of the city. On top of the mountain you can see owls and bears. Upstairs you can also find a cafeteria and a place to buy hamburgers. I highly recommend going there if you are very prepared because it is not an easy hike.

An absolute must see and do in Vancouver! Endless amounts of views, you’re able to get right up next to grizzly bears (in an enclosure), hiking, gondola ride and so much more! This ended up being one of our favorite things on our trip!

We stopped here while visiting Vancouver on a summer afternoon and this is totally worth it.
Ticket includes gondola ride, free shows and educational sessions, 2 grizzly bears (this is by far the closest we’ve ever been to one), hiking and endless amounts of views. We had a blast, probably one of our favorite things on our trip

Grouse is very friendly to the summer and winter… it is a fabulous ski resort in the winter, but in the summer, it is equally enjoyable with nature walks, lumberjack shows, and more. Good luck with the Grouse Grind!

Amazing place to go with kids or also without!
The animals are soooo beautiful !
There is a free bird show with impressive hawks, eagles, falcons and owls.
A hilarious lumberjack show and of course the bears ❤️
Definitely worth a long visit!
Inform yourself about the times of each show so that you don’t miss anything!
You can go up by lift (60 dollars) or by a huge hike (only for really sportive people!!!)
The second lift is for free for everyone!
If you want there are also zip lines!
A whole day of adventure guaranteed!!!

Must visit place while visiting Vancouver. In the mountain you can go hiking, see shows and bears and there are nice activities for kids. There is an additional cable railway on the mountain which leads to nice viewpoints (long ride and there are lots of bees there. I was stung by one). The place is very crowded. There are restaurants and coffee houses up there.

We visited Vancouver from Calgary so I booked a lesson for my niece here. We came 40 minutes early and waited in multiple lines. When she get up to the mountain, they couldn’t find the ski instructor, we ended up had to go back. The instructor lead said we can get credit or refund back due to our situation. However, when we ask the service team, they only offered credit for lesson in the same season but we asked for a refund since we don’t live in Vancouver and we don’t get the ski lesson. They unreasonably refused to be understanding of our situation. We wasted $200 here gaining nothing but disappointment.
Grouse Grind is a renowned hiking route characterized by a challenging ascent and over 2,800 steps. The trail is popular among outdoor enthusiasts and visitors seeking an exhilarating workout in the mountains. The incline of the path is quite steep, which presents a significant physical challenge to those who attempt it. Despite this difficulty, Grouse Grind remains one of the most sought-after hiking destinations due to its scenic views and unique terrain.
Upon reaching Grouse Mountain via the Skyride gondola, adventure awaits all year round. During the summer months visitors can explore hiking trails, zipline through the forests and visit orphaned grizzly bears Grinder and Coola. In winter, there are skiing slopes, snowshoeing trails and a skating pond to enjoy in this snowy wonderland.
The Skyride is amazing. The views are amazing. I definitely recommend to anyone to try it out.

It was a nice ride to the top and the view was great. Old units but they would be replaced sooner with much better gondolas. You don't have to skier to enjoy the top cabin.

We really enjoyed this attraction. The reason for the 4 stars is because besides the ride it was geared to younger people. There was a logging activity to watch which was corney but cute. We enjoyed the skyride to the top, going in and back out of the clouds. Once on top we were able to take a ski lift even higher.
Beth Miller — Google review
You can hike or use the gondola. The trail is short but steep ! It takes approximately two hours. Using the gondola is much more cheaper if you only use it to go down (10$). One way and return (50$). The view is amazing ! You can also see bears at the top

I would recommend doing this Skyride if you do it during the day since we did it closer to evening and we couldn’t see much. It was eerily cool going through the most above the trees but couldn’t really see any views. This is a free ride if you do a reservation at The Observatory, which is a great bonus since it’s a little pricey just by itself.

My wife and I travelled to the top of Grouse mountain today around noon to see the scenery. We learned to ski, at night on this mountain in 1980 and we enjoyed walking around and marveled at the changes. In addition we enjoyed a splendid meal at the Altitudes restaurant sharing a barbecue rib meal paired with an excellent sauvignon blanc wine and finished with a delightful tasting apple crisp and white chocolate cheese cake along with Americano coffee and may I say for a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately my wife left a special black toque on the approach to the gondola lift about 3:15 and we wondered if it might be found. It has a logo stating 'Canada's oldest dinosaur' on the top that we bought on a recent trip to Nova Scotia.
On the way down I engaged the lift attendant, a young lady with explanations of the rock types and geology of the mountain as well as tree species.
All in all, it was a special day as when the sun shines the snow sparkles like jewels at this higher elevation and this sight makes Vancouver a favored destination for anyone.
Cleveland Dam is a popular tourist attraction located just 10 minutes away from Capilano Park. It features a long-running dam with a 200-ft spillway and a hatchery, all set amidst verdant surroundings with picturesque trails and vistas. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful location, which offers ample parking space in front of the reservoir. The area is surrounded by stunning snow-covered mountains that make for breathtaking views throughout the year.
Beautiful location with trails into and around the woods. There is a fair amount of parking available in front of the reservoir. The sheer amount of gorgeous snow makes for a breathtaking scene at this time of year! Situated at the foot of Grouse Mountain this is one of my favourite places to visit...at any time of year.

I recently visited Cleveland Dam in Capilano and was impressed by the beauty of the surroundings. No matter the season, Cleveland Dam has a good vibe that is sure to impress any nature lover. In the fall, the colors of the leaves on the trees are breathtaking, while in the winter, the snow-covered landscape is enchanting.
One of the most impressive features of the dam is the massive flow of water, which is both calming and awe-inspiring. It's a great spot for photography or for a peaceful walk in nature. I also appreciated the walking trails, which were well maintained and provided a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Overall, Cleveland Dam is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy some peace and quiet. Whether you're going for a romantic walk or a family outing, there's something for everyone at Cleveland Dam.

easy hike for about an hour from the other side of the Capilano River, stopped by the Hatchery (shouldn't miss, or you can park your car here for a much shorter hike/walk to the Dam).
Once you are out of the woods......into much broader lakeview.....you will see the stunning Sister Peaks of the Lion Mountain! You can picnic/rest here for a while....and continue your hike in the numerous but clearly marked trails..
Had a great day out for all ages (and various levels of difficulties....you just have to plan well beforehand whichever is most suitable for you and your group.

Amazing. Holds the water in the lake like a hot dam. Some decent views are to be seen over the walls through the fence, but for short people it can be slightly disappointing as they have a hard time seeing anything. Recommend bringing stilts, or a step stool for the best experience.

Nice spot to take the dog for a walk. You can park at Capilano River Park and then walk up the Pipeline trail to the dam. Then loop around on the East side of the river past the fish hatchery. No shade on the dam, but loads of shade in the forest. On and off leash trails.

Located on the Capilano River, this hatchery offers a chance to witness salmon jumping up the fish ladder and explore the nearby hiking trails. A picnic area is also available for visitors. Just a short distance away lies Grouse Mountain, accessible by Skyride gondola which provides an opportunity to visit orphaned grizzly bears in the summer and enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, and skating in the winter. Adventure awaits all year round at this popular tourist attraction.
I went there with my environmental protection technology class and I had no idea that this little gem existed. Parking was free and it was easy to spend a couple of hours wandering through the trails that surround it. The real treat was seeing the fish through glass swimming up the fish ladder. Great place for kids and adults. Lots of hiking and it's not to to much of a challenge. I can't wait to go back!

No tickets needed. This is located in a gigantic beautiful park that reminds you of how gorgeous British Columbia is. The road leading down to the hatchery is winding and a bit tight, so I definitely recommend going slower as the speed limit signs suggest.
Once there, you can go in for free and see the exhibits, the small dam, a flowing rivers, and the fish swimming around in the tanks they grow in. I would recommend coming back in the late summer or fall when the fish are more grown and abundant to see the hatchery at its peak, but going to learn on a sunny day is still a great experience in itself.

Visited the Capilano River Hatchery on a weekday in October. It wasn't busy and there was plenty of parking available. Inside there is a small exhibition of the salmon hatching process, which is showing its age but gets the point across nonetheless. The most interesting item is the salmon ladder viewing area where you get to see salmon leaping. Outside you can enjoy views of the gorge and the bottom of the dam. The nearby trails afford great views along the river.

Didn’t see any salmon in the river at that time, but there are some in the hatchery. Learned a lot about salmon hatchery and its sustainability. There are some walking trails along the river. Beautiful view of the river and trees. It almost looks like the scene from the movie Bird Box.

Complimentary. Fantastic place for you to come. It will be different by the season as they need time to grow the salmon before releasing them back to the river and swim back to the ocean.

It is free to enter and wander through this facility. It was interesting to see the fish ladder, both outside next to the river and from the underground viewing area. There were plenty of posters providing information about the hatchery and different salmon species. A great place to learn about Canada's native salmon, their life cycle and to observe them up close. There were toilets available. We walked up to the hatchery from the Suspension Bridge park, 20 minutes, accurately predicted by Google!

It was ok, if we'd had some type of guide to tell us about the hatchery other than our bus driver I would have found it more interesting. He did a great job though. I also wish we'd been able to actually go see the fish in their holding pens as well.

It's close to the bus station on the map, but it's actually a steep walk in the middle. We first visited Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, then took the bus to the dam. beautiful! 100% worth it. The Cleveland Dam looked close to the Capilano River Hatchery, but as I mentioned, the steep walk in the middle made us give up the idea of walking back to the bus stop. We decided to walk back 30 minutes and take the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park free shuttle back to downtown Vancouver. Driving is the best option if you want to visit. It was fun though and we had a great time watching the salmon.

Probably my favourite location in Vancouver, vibrant full of stuff to see & do. The food market is a must, the quality is beyond excellent. There's the Granville Island Brewery where you can try flytes of their different beers. There are lots of touristy type shops intermixed with some really high quality artisan workshops. Facing the brewery from the entrance to the market go left where there's an absolutely amazing Blacksmiths & further on a fantastic Woodwork Artist studio. You'll also find an amazing Glass artist studio more central who makes some fab First Nation themed pieces. Lives up to its reputation. Many great viewing spots, plenty of hidden gems along the path. Great summer swim spot, certain areas of the river are popular with families and teens in the warmer months. You'll find an abundance of fishermen further up towards the dam as well. Trailheads are within walking distance of transit and there's plenty of parking around the outside of the park. Perfect place to plan a whole afternoon out.

Awesome park. Makes the area ideal. Not a long trail system and not too difficult. Nice diverse range of experiences available too - inclines, dog walking paths, large dam, bridges, river, and lake views.

I have gone for many walks & trail runs in this park and it is excellent! You can also fish in it in certain areas but I have never seen anyone actually catch anything.

Really cool park, just a few steps from the parking lot you are greeted with beautiful views of the mountains and water. Highly recommend stopping by even if it's just for a few minutes, you won't regret it!

The Capilano River Regional Park is located in North Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. This is a great place to take photos, have a picnic, or begin a hike in nearby trails.
The park encompasses scenic views of the mountains, the Capilano River, and the Cleveland Dam. There are a number of nature and biking trails in the park, such as then0.6 km return Second Canyon Viewpoint Trail and the 15 km Capilano Pacific Trail. The Capilano Fish Hatchery in the park is about 500 metres downhill from the Cleveland Dam. There are educational displays explaining the type of work that is done there, as well as basic education about the life cycles of the fish in the area.
The 91-meter high(299ft) Cleveland Dam is the landmark dam at the head of the Capilano River in North Vancouver, that holds back Capilano Lake, also known as Capilano reservoir. Part of the Capilano River Regional Park, it stores a portion of the Lower Mainland's drinking water, and it currently supplies forty percent of the region's drinking water.

This is a beautiful rainforest area flanking the Capilano River. There are many kilometres of walking trails to choose from - short or long! We did the Coho Loop (1 km, about 30 mins) alongside the river and part of the Pipeline trail heading down to the Suspension Bridge Park. The paths were clear with good signage. It seemed popular with locals for walking their dogs. We spotted a woodpecker up close, but no other birdlife.

Beautiful park with lots of trails and good scenery along the way. Lots of big trees and near the water, so it’s nice and cool even on a hot summer afternoon.

These trails are no joke. We took the capilano crest trail. My mom couldn't make it up the 100s of steps at the end and I had to leave her at the fish hatchery, go get the car, and pick her up. All in all though, beautiful trails, and very very very cool salmon hatchery that is a must see operation
Erika — Google review
Beautiful park year around though it’s best to visit in summer when salmon are back. Lots of trail options depending on your schedule or fitness with multiple view points!
Nice to include the hatchery if possible but not really much there.
I usually start from rabbit lane to maximize the trail and do the stairs for exercise.

Awesome park with gorgeous views of river and mountains. Parking, washrooms, benches available, very relaxing area to spend a few hours or more.dogs should be leashed. Public transit is available about 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver .

This park is so amazing that you would love to stay the whole day watching around nature. The dam with lake view in starting of journey towards the woods. Then it depends on how long you can go on your legs. Feels fresh in air, so clean. Lovely place to visit.
Family friendly, but you should come up with your eatery because you won't find any cafe restaurants of your choice.
Lynn Headwaters Regional Park is a stunning natural area in the Lower Mainlands that features many hiking trails and rugged backcountry routes, as well as an interpretive center. The park offers a range of options for hikers, from leisurely creekside paths to more challenging intermediate trails. Dogs are allowed in certain areas on the west side of the creek. Visitors can enjoy lunch or simply take in the beautiful scenery along the rushing creek.
A relatively hard trail. Although it is mostly covered under canopy trees, it's a beautiful trail with occasional pick a boo views. The challenge is rather on the ground than the grade. Tree roots and big rocks makes this trail a tricky on specially on your way coming back. Good sturdy hiking boots help protect your ankles

Beautiful park and trail. Hiked all the way to Norvan falls, took a few minutes to dip in the cold waters and then hiked back. Amazing!

Went when it was raining but the paths are really well maintained and didn't get too muddy. Definitely would recommend bringing a pair of hiking shoes though because my runners were not very ideal. This hike was super nice during the fall with all the leaves changing colors.

Beautiful place for enjoying day. There are a lot of nice trails - easy and moderate. Everywhere is green trees, woods. We were here on Saturday, we didnt met so many people. So this place is not so crowded in this time. Also after rainy days the path is safe and good.

There are many connected trails. You have easy and difficult terrains. Make sure you don’t get lost , chances are more . Be bear prepared . You have good picnic spots and the gushing of water along the trail .

My very first begginer hike. Excellent place to explore solo or with family and friends! Don't forget to grab coffee n explore End of one Line Cafe at the end!
Nikhat Qureshi — Google review
Mostly easy casual walk/ hike along the river! Lots of dog walkers here throughout the year.
But be sure not to wonder into the back country, the trail can lead you to places like Hanes valley and Coliseum mountain. People tend to get lost here all the time.
Also it is wet and frozen in winter so you need to be prepare for the conditions. Even in summer cooler near the water.
Pay parking in effect in busy season but still plenty of free spots available further away.

Gorgeous. A great place to see the wonderous BC nature. And there are so many beautiful trails to choose from while you’re at the park.

One of my favourite hikes! So many trails are connected, from moderate to difficult.

Great spot for a quick hike or if your adventurous, a really long hike. Most of the trails are off leash, so we bring our dog and he loves it.

One of our favourite walks / hikes to do closeish to the city - it was peaceful, fairly easy to with wide paths at the beginning and had options for us to get into more of the forest. Recommend parking further away from the entrance to avoid paying for parking fees if that helps!
Natasha Chan — Google review
Only got slightly lost, not the clearest trails, but absolutely gorgeous. Such a good long walk, there’s both easier and more difficult terrain. Didn’t spot any bears while there.
Avery Carmichael — Google review
Beautiful place for a picnic by the rushing waters. 4 outhouses available, and maybe 4,5 picnic tables. Plenty of easy to challenging trails nearby. Adventure is nearby for all.
Very accessible by transit after a 15 minute walk. There is parking nearby as well.
Come dip your toes in the waters on a hot Summer day.

The playground set up is great as well as the whole park but BEWARE there was human feces under the playground that my daughter almost stepped in. Noticed someone living out of their van nearby shortly after. Immediately tainted my view on this park. 😔

Great playground for toddlers to explore and play. Less options for the older kids. There are washrooms!
Graeme Jones — Google review
A flat park with a large grassy field, an excellent playground, two popular Bocce courts, plenty of shade, numerous benches, washroom facilities, and a walking path connecting to Victoria Drive. Being close to Commercial Drive, it seems many visitors enjoy a takeout lunch or drinks but are then unable to find the many well-positioned garbage cans.

It was our first time to be in this park. It is nice that the playground is situated along trees. It was a nice park for birthday parties. We attended a party and there were 3 other parties going on. Absolutely nice for gathering

Beware lots of drugs by the picnic tables and bacce ball courts. Stick to the west side of the park closest to the bathrooms and playground if with dogs and children. However....This park is absolutely stunning. It's got a huge lawn which is great for people watching all summer long. It's very much a community-focused park most of the year, but it is full of people during the warmer months. The playground for little ones is huge and there are public washrooms, whose cleanliness is usually acceptable.
The Waterfront Park is a large park on the banks of Vancouver Harbour with a playground, picnic tables and walking trails. It's a great place to take a walk and enjoy the view.
The well-maintained paths are perfect for leisurely strolls or brisk jogs, offering breathtaking panoramas of the water. The park's green spaces are lush and inviting, ideal for picnics or just lounging under the sun. Waterfront Park is a gem of a spot for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

Nice to walk along the water, 3 or 4 small very nice areas, it connects with the spirit trail, there are bathrooms, but unfortunately one Saturday at 7am I found it closed, I hope they will and make garbage collection more frequent, there are no many plays for children.

Nice little park to catch great views of downtown Vancouver. The park is well maintained and has a playground for the kids. There is some basic equipment for the kids playground. The grass is well maintained and has places to sit down. They have few benches as well. The sea wall at the edge of the park for anyone to get down to the water. There is board walk with a canopy at the end to sit and enjoy the views of downtown Vancouver. Definitely, worth a visit if you are in north Vancouver. It is just a few mins walk from the sky train station which is very convenient.

I loved the farm so much! We went on a Monday and it wasnt super busy, not many kids! It's not a huge farm but if you want go spend some time petting goats and cows, it's a must! It's such a sweet little place, with a lovely Lake to walk around and a picnic area. Also, I highly recommend buying the Maplewood Farm Cookbook from the gift shop, its full of great recipes!

This place is a gem! It was affordable and super fun for my son. They have cows, turkeys, goats, peacocks, pigs, horses, roosters, sheep, and more! The only thing kids get to pet is the goats, but overall, Maplewood farm is a great way to spend an hour with your family.

This is such a cute little farm in North Vancouver. Our toddler had a blast especially with the goats! You can actually play with them! The chickens are left free to run around as well so that was very fun too! The farm looks to be well maintained and the animals all looked pretty healthy. I like that there are designated hand washing stations set up.

We had such a fun time at Maplewood farm today! What a treat for the girls right we parked the car and a cool playground just right there so they had some fun time before visited the farm. Perfect spot right in town, the girls were so excited to see such cute animals there. Had chances to be close to them. We walked on the trail behind and saw really big fishes, we were so excited.. hehehe.. And I saw you can have birthday party there, kinda nice. My 17 month old really enjoyed himself. It's not huge, so I didn't need a stroller as my son loves go run around. But it did tire him out. There's also a cute park next door. We will definitely come back. We were fortunate to see so many of the animals during their feeding time and the goats are so well behaved.

A good location if you want to show your kids what a farm is. There are different kinds of animals. You can expect to spend around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 mins there.

We love feeding the ducks here and petting the goats. I've only been during special events, and it's very chaotic. Line-up for activities are looong and it's not well organized. Kids still have a good time. Arrive early to grab a parking spot when there's an event.

My girlfriend and I took a trip to maplewood farms in Northern Vancouver because we were bored and wanted to see some animals. It did not disappoint! The animals we were able to see were adorable and very adapt to people (thankfully we didn't get bitten) there were horses, ducks, cows and much more, if you have a free day highly recommend the price for admission was reasonable and the price for bird seen was 3$ so all in all very happy with our experience

It was my first time visiting this farm, and it was a great experience. My daughter absolutely loved feeding the ducks around the pond; it was her favorite part. They had a variety of goats and other animals for kids to see. The visit was very affordable, even after purchasing duck feed at the front counter. All the staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant to deal with. This is a fantastic place to spend a few hours, and I highly recommend paying a visit.

This farm is so great for little ones and families! All of the animals are so well groomed and so happy. The goats make for a fantastic petting zoo for kids of all ages, and feeding the various ducks and birds roaming around makes for endless toddler entertainment. Plus - it's pretty centrally located, so getting there isn't a hassle! 5/5 - definitely recommend!
