Crescent Beach is a secluded, rocky beach with stunning views of the bay and distant mountains. However, due to its limited parking and single road access, it can become very congested during summer months. The presence of a railroad track blocking the road creates further traffic problems for residents. Despite this, the area remains charmingly undeveloped with a few quaint cafes that draw crowds even though some may require updating.
I wish no one knew about this remote beach as it gets crazy busy in the summer. There’s limited parking and there’s only one road in. The railroad goes through there and blocks the road, creating standstill traffic. I feel for the residents of Crescent Beach. Last I hear, there are plans to build and overpass over the tracks.
The area isn’t overly developed and that’s the charm. There are a few old fashioned cafes and they all get busy. Though a few of them are probably due for a replacement…
I am extremely lucky to be able to walk here and avoid the traffic. I love getting a coffee at the Sunflower Cafe and stroll along the beach.
The water can be cold even in the summer and it’s very rocky. Bring your water shoes.

Always gonna be my favourite place to watch sunsets. Long shorline to walk and find a nice spot to sit and chill. The beach is bit rocky but still suitable for walking along the water.

Crescent Beach is an absolute gem it's stretches a long-distance all the way to Blackie spit Park. Follow the paved walk way. Or you can walk along the sand if the tide is out. There are washrooms at both ends, cafes and restaurants before you enter the beach. What a gorgeous walk, amazing view seeing the Ocean touch the sky. There also Trails you can take on your way back. I've been to the beach around White Rock Pier a few times now, this was my first time here and it is definitely a level up. Parking was ok come early. Awsome beach for the whole family.💯💯💯

Great oceanfront walking. Love to see the beautiful houses on the promenade. Public washrooms, lots of benches, beach area, park area, volleyball setup. A nice place for a scenic afternoon stroll - with a hint of crabs and seaweed in the ocean breeze 🦀

When I visited Crescent Beach, I was disappointed to find the place in an unsanitary state. The water was uninviting, and the beach was full of filth and crabs, making it impossible to build sandcastles or walk barefoot. Although the surrounding view was picturesque, the experience was icky.

A fantastic spot to see sunset in the midst of restaurants and beautiful houses. A long walk along the ocean makes it even more attractive. People were boating while others were enjoying barbecue. There is ample parking available. Close to the beach, one can rent a party hall to do a small get together. Crabs and shells can be easily found if you are fond of them.

I read in the comments that the sunset is really nice here and decided to give it a shot. It was indeed absolutely stunning!!! The beach is a rocky beach with a few patches of sand.
The neighborhood is also quite nice but finding parking is not that easy. We went there around 8 pm and had to search quite a bit to find a parking spot.

Love this beach! Imo it's much better than the busy, touristy ones in Vancouver. Scenic & beautiful. Mostly rocky, with some patches of sand for toddler's buckets and lots of drift wood seating. Nice long walking path. And in summer I prefer to go to the even quieter side (by the stairs) to wade/swim (note: the showers are closer to Blackie spit.) Oh and there are a couple little shops & restaurants walking distance to grab a bite, drink or ice cream!
Update: My kids love finding crabs here, starfish under rocks and digging up clams.

Our favorite beach to visit. So much fun everytime. Long trail to walk, so beautiful when water tide out you can walk for kilometers on the sand so cool. Beautiful sunset, good foods there and clean washroom so what else do you want except for the limited parking but we always lucky to get one :D

I've been coming to Crescent Beach since I was a child, and it's one of my favourite places to visit. Whether you want to take a dip in the ocean, sit by the ocean, grab a bite to eat, or go for a walk, there's a lot of options, and the views are always phenomenal (especially the sunsets). If you continue to walk past where the path ends, onto the rocky part of the beach beside the train tracks, it is less busy, and every time I go, I always see bald eagles and Golden Eagles. It's a great place to see wildlife and enjoy breathtaking beauty.
Redwood Park boasts picturesque paths that wind through a forest of towering redwood trees, as well as idyllic meadows with picnic areas and play spaces. While the park may be older, it still offers a nice playground for children to enjoy with various activities to keep them entertained. However, there are some maintenance issues that need attention. Despite its pleasant amenities, the park remains relatively unoccupied even on Sundays. Additionally, parking is conveniently free and just a minute's walk from the playground area.
Absolutely beautiful park packed with Redwoods and other amazing trees. Well maintained and very peaceful. Great place to bring the kids to expend energy as there is a play area as well as a fairy village. There are relatively clean and accessible public washrooms but they are quiet old. Great sheltered seating areas for those short notice showers or BBQ sunny days.

Awesome park for a great picnic plus some magnificent trees and an awesome section of painted birdhouses. Great place to spend quality time with your children. There is so much natural beauty in this forest along with picnic tables, washrooms and a playground. The fairy forest is super different but fun to take kids to and I believe you can even bring your own birdhouse and add it to the massive collection.

Tried for another local park but it was pouring with rain there. Headed over to Redwood Park 15 minutes away and found the sunshine available for free. This is a well known local park that allows you to walk on well maintained trails through the woods which periodically open out into fields with plenty of room for kids to run around freely under your watchful eye. There is also a nice looking playground area with well maintained equipment.
The area is also very popular with dog walkers with about 12 different canines being seen today having a great time exploring, on leash of course in keeping with local bylaws (when in sight of other dog walkers anyway), and no signs of any dog poop. Still being in March jackets were required but it was warm enough out to leave them open.
Plenty of wooden seats around, lots of picnic tables, many of which were covered with roofs to ensure dry eating.
For those who like to disappear and get some wonderful fresh air, this would have been the day to do it. The main free large parking lot contained only about six cars and two Surrey workers sitting in a nice shaded spot for about an hour watching people come and go. While you couldn’t avoid people totally they were far and few between and could be forgotten about when in the wooded area.
While this is a great little park with lots of little hiking paths it is not somewhere to go for a great hike in the country. Exploring as many areas as I could I pretty much covered the area in an hour. However it is great for a short stroll and for parents to let their younger ones burn off a lot of energy running on the trails and using the playground areas. Kids are permitted to run off-leash meaning they will get home exhausted and sleep well.
My only disappointment was that even though there is some type of outdoor sculpture containing six water taps, not a single one could fulfill its purpose. Yes, it is still early in year but the weather is improving so it is time the two legged and four legged-visitors will be in need of liquid refreshment. And this was a midweek day and I assume the park will be a lot busier at the weekend. At least turn on the bottom tap just above the ground for the pets. I did not check if water was available in the washrooms, but still one tap outside would have helped.
Overall I would say this is a family oriented park with amenities focussed more towards the young ones. But older strollers and dog walkers can enjoy too.
While the relative quietness could be enjoyed, there was a constant hum of traffic going by on 20th Avenue and area. While not too distracting, it was a little disappointing.
Overall a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon and all you have to do is pay for the gas to get there and back home.

Good for picnic park as they have kids playground at the same time.
They have flat tail with tall tree.
They also have a "fairy house" in the middle of the forest.
It was nice and relaxing area to explore the nature.

This place was really neat! Getting older, I read signs now. The signs around the park gave lots of really neat information. The coolest was how this family owned the land and had a home similar to the log cabin they rebuilt to show what it looked like. I also liked the naming of the trees as you walked through the park as well. The fairy garden was still an absolute delight!
Maddy Jackson — Google review
A nearly perfect park. Quiet, ethereal, variety of trees and perfect overhead canopy. Facilities like long tables for picnics and a modern playground. A South Surrey landmark. Don’t forget to check out the “Fairy Village” you’ll swear you’ve just entered the kingdom of Hyrule…
Mid-sized, you can snake around the branching paths back to the parking lot (which is never full) in about 25 minutes casually and a bit quicker I’d you decide not to backtrack or explore. Visited a handful of times already I keep finding new little paths.
The trees are marked with interesting descriptions and facts of their species and the entrance has a sign about the two brothers who adored Redwoods and started this park ages ago.

The park is really pretty, and a nice place for a walk.
I do wish that the city/park staff would clean up the Fairy area, though. I know a lot of folks enjoy it, but so many of the birdhouses are cheap and end up broken and it's starting to look more like a garbage heap than the whimsical knoll it started off as :(

Older park. Nice kids playground, not the best one we have seen, but has different things to keep your little ones busy. Some maintenance is needed though.
Not very busy even on Sundays, at least when we stopped by a couple of times. Parking is free and is 1 minute walk from the playground.
It also has a nice green area and a picnic shelter that can host a small birthday party for around 20 to 30 people. There are some walking trails too.
Good place to come to for a walk or to play with kids.

Finally a sunny fall day to get out and do something! We decided to come to Redwood Park and wonder around. A beautiful hidden spot. We will be coming back in the summer for a BBQ. Lots of cool art to look at in the "fairy forest". I'm betting it would look alot better in the summer, but something about coming here in the fall with the colour change and leaves on the ground leaves me with a smile on my face. The fam jam and I enjoyed the little walk and breath of fresh air. Lots of parking!

It’s a beautiful park and the playground was a great hit for the group I was with that day. The washroom were very nice and clean. Was a little disappointed on the damage of the fairy houses in the fairy garden. My then fiancé and I just got married at Redwood on September 1st. We had a photographer and the photos we’ve seen so far have turned out absolutely beautifully, but you really can’t expect less given the atmosphere. The one downside was the amount of bees, but perhaps we were just near a bee hive. The park itself was not terribly busy given the time of the morning, and everyone who was there on the trails was very respectful of what we were doing.
Blackie Spit is a park with a sandy spit that has an abundance of bird life. It features a 5-km nature trail and an off-leash dog area for furry companions. The beach stretches for miles with residential properties along the beach front, while the paths are well maintained and there are various shops including cafes and fish & chips spots. Parking is available on the west side, and there's even a volleyball net along the crushed gravel paths.
Beautiful ocean location. Very busy but very pleasant. Everyone is polite and everyone has dog etiquette. There is an off leash area which is quite a good size. An under cover area if it rains. Lots of beach access and different terrain. Benches to chill and enjoy the view. Come sit and watch all the different dogs and their owners go by. Dip your feet in the ocean or just post up and have and insta photo shoot.

Nice place for stroll. Or day at beach if you get there early on a nice day. Tidal beach, so silty more than sandy. Parking is a nightmare when busy. Someone blocked us in yesterday, was an hour to get out. Dog friendly beach just before spit area. Spit is wildlife/bird protected and nesting area. So no kites, no drones or dogs.

It was super nice today (April 15, 2022) Easy parking. But if you will come here around summer time, you have to be early to find parking. Street parking is for residents only. Not enough parking for patrons of the beach and park.
We loved this park because there's a separate place for dogs as well.
I didn't give a five star review because they can do better with the bathrooms. Currently, the bathrooms are closed. Hoping that they are improving it.

A beautiful and calming place to go with the family. One of our favourite places to go in the late afternoon / evening. Recommend going when tide is high as low tide exposes muddy beach full of seaweed, sea grass and alot of crabs (their size is not for the faint hearted). Kids absolutely love the clean beach, which will have some nice wood to improvise the making of rafts with. Sunsets here are absolutely amazing - I have made a point of not including a photo of it.....just has to be seen....a photo would not do it justice.

A bit of a ride to get there if you're coming from North Surrey, especially by transit, but doable. 2 busses bring you very close to the park and then a fairly short walk to get to the park itself. We picked the worst timing to cross the border.
It was the first day of the Easter long weekend, Ichiro was throwing the first pitch for the Mariners and the Sakura festival was happening in downtown Seattle.
We were stuck in traffic for six hours! Walking would have been faster.
Gladly the weather was decent. Forecast said it would rain. It dropped a couple sprinkles then sunnied up.

Beautiful park on the US-Canada border. The park has large green open space. The peace arch towering the park is magnificent. There is ample free parking. The view of the ocean, totem pole and Japanese garden are really good. But the most unique thing about the park is that people from US and Canada can meet without going through immigrations. There are rangers who monitor that there are no illegal crossings but nothing is checked while you are in the park. The park is very peaceful and well maintained. USA also maintains the park on the other side of the border. The US side has a play area with some swings in addition to restrooms and picnic shelters. Looking forward to visit again.

Plenty of parking space. Need special attention DO NOT enter the parking lot for the duty free shop, otherwise you have to go to US.
Only thing was disappointing was that the US and Canada national flags formed by flowers were gone. Not sure what happens there.

We take for granted that the US and Canada are peaceful neighbors, but that wasn't always so, and I can think of a couple of neighboring countries that are less than peaceful. I also can't help but think of how this contrasts with the other end of I-5, Being able to wander back and forth between two countries like one can here is no small thing.
I also appreciate how beautiful this place is and what a good job BC has done in maintaining this park. It is well worth the visit, no matter what side of the border you come from.
Do watch where you park. If you make the first left into the Duty-Free shop parking, you will have to go to the United States, and all the fun going through a US border crossing entails. Also, if you do park in the actual lot, note that you can make a left turn on BC 99, even if it isn't marked. That's at the second carriageway, of course.

There's a no left turn sign as you exit the park. Absolutely make a left turn there, otherwise you will end up at the border crossing with no way to turn back to Canada. If you don't have your passports with you, and why would you if you weren't planning to go to the US, and you accidentally end up at the border, US border agents will take your photo and fingerprints and generally take forever processing you before letting you turn back to Canada. Ridiculous. We don't even want to enter the US. The whole ordeal took an hour before we were allowed to turn back to Canada.

A great spot in any and all seasons. Beautiful walking trails, either around the lake or thru the forested area, or even in the open fields. Every season brings something new to enjoy. There are often ducks at the lake. There are a few picnic tables added in the upper area overlooking the lake. Benches scattered about, a small dock to fish off, and just a great spot to enjoy some nature. No playground but my kids end up playing very organically, finding sticks to toss into the water, trees to explore and animals to watch. Nice change of pace from a typical afternoon at a playground.

Trail Series, Part 22
Wondering if Fall has arrived in Canada? Yep, we’d say that indeed it has!
The “Green Timbers Urban Forest Park” located in Surrey (just outside of Vancouver) offers spectacular opportunities to get out and immerse yourself in some “Fall colors” when that need strikes you.
Their numerous trails funnel you to (and around) the lake and are extremely well marked and maintained. Bicycles, runners/walkers, and leashed dogs are all welcome. In fact, we felt that most of the trails are flat and wide enough to also welcome wheelchairs and strollers.
Although we always recommend the buddy system when enjoying a trail, we found these well traveled enough to give it our highest safety rating.
For those seeking a challenge when enjoying these trails, we’d recommend trying to locate the beaver dams and their inhabitants.
There is convenient parking located on 100th Avenue (between 144th Street and 148th Street), so get out there and enjoy some fresh and vibrant Canadian air, eh? 🇨🇦
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

A great place for nature walk, trail run, relaxing, fishing, picknics and what not. Very clean and managed trails to explore and admire the Mother Nature…
Accidentally went there during the morning run, could not help to stop by and capture the lovely sight.. Family friendly park and trails.

An awesome urban park by Green Timbers Lake with a great extent of fun activities. It can be a cool hiking trail or a healthy place to hang out with family or friends (with a nice picnic area), or a relaxing stroll enjoying nature’s beauty. The lake has a gorgeous reflection of the trees and mountains. I loved watching ducks waddle crossing the lake. The lake is fishable except winter and a BC freshwater fishing license is required. The fishing experience is exciting since it’s in the forest setting. Parking space is limited, the washroom is at the park entrance. A must place to visit this summer.
Nice for a walk or to take the bicycle.
However, anyone not living on the island, or not doing business with one of the businesses, should leave their cars on the mainland.
I'm not too fond of these folks who do one or more rounds with their cars around the island and go home.
If you don't come here to walk or bike, please stay away from the island.

What a cool area! There’s a free boat to take you there. Felt like we were in an industrial and agricultural town 😳 some farms and lots of animals you can get to see, they are all so interesting 😂 (And some trucks and abandoned stuff I think?)
Many people go there to bike!

It's a really nice little place. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive the whole perimeter of the island.
It's mostly farmland but the people are very friendly & wave as they pass by.
There's a "park" you can do a circuit walk around, it is nice though you can get close to the water and watch all the activity.
The ferry ride is a fun bonus.

Beautiful island to walk or bike at. Seems to teleport you out of Surrey and it's an extra special gift if you get greeted by a native resident on one of the farms here. Nice views of water running with logs on it, greenery, farm animals and the golden ears bridge. One thing about the day we visited was that there were some mosquitoes there so I'd recommend preparation for that such as wearing full sleeves and repellant if you have blood that they like.
Jessica Dhaliwal — Google review
I left here with so many questions lol. Ok, so the ferry is free and it can take up to four vehicles. When we docked off, we turned left and there is one road that makes a circle around this tiny island. I believe one side is farm land and not much homes and as we came to the other side of the island seems to be a reservation, there what seemed to be less then 20 homes. I didn’t see one human while driving, it’s very unique and a different experience but enjoyed it at the same time because it was quiet and untouched. Something like this makes me wonder why no billionaires haven’t bought the island and built a mansion on it, maybe it’s a protected land?? Idk

Single best biking circuit for little kids learning to master bike riding.
Flat. Short. Little farm distractions and 2 small parks close to one another. The miniature ferry is the icing on the cake for a great half day experience.

It's not a bad walk until you see the terrible abandoned houses and the native reservation... not racism just fact.
The donkeys in the middle of the island are cute. Fyi there is no parking allowed anywhere on the island.
The ferry ride is fun haha!

Roast beef promised, but were served very dry fried chicken instead. The coating was not good. No vegetarian options, so they went to the restaurant in the casino and were told it would take 15 to 20 mins. It took 35 mins, but was quite good and fresh (Veggie noodle bowl and Caesar salad)

Mud Bay Park is a picturesque location situated along the Boundary Bay shoreline that offers visitors an extensive range of waterfowl sightings. The park's trail system is ideal for running, walking, and cycling activities, featuring a long stretch with diverse landscapes such as trees, water bodies, and various bird species.
Great trail for a run, walk and cycle. It was my first time and did my 5th Virtual Sun Run here. Long stretch and a mix of everything from water, trees and birds. You get to do your workout beside the highway too or find yourself in a clearing. One of my favourite trails in Surrey for sure.

It's an open seaside trail along the Boundary Bay. There is a nice breeze all along due to open space and proximity to the sea. Ideal for biking as well. We went there with a 2 year old. He didn't seem to enjoy much as there wasn't much variety along the trail. Also it can get a bit too sunny. There is construction at the parking site. There are no public washrooms but there is a portable toilet due to the construction site. It's not the best trail in this area although not a bad one for a one time try. There are boards with pictures of migratory birds. I guess it will be a great sight during the season.

I love this park! From the parking lot all the way to the delta boundary and then back through the view points is a quick 5.2km loop. I do this walk sometimes right after work. People I meet on the trail are friendly.
Cons: Sometimes people don't pick up after their dogs. Traffic noise can be bothersome for some people. But I don't mind it.

One of my favorite places to take a stroll with the family. Beautiful views and easy enough to take a very enthusiastic toddler/little kid on. The walkway by the highway can get a bit noisy (obviously). Great place to take family, engagement, etc. pictures, too!
Updating with summer pics :)

The trail is gravelly and pretty flat. It's a bit narrow given the fact that it's used by cyclists, people with dogs, runners and regular walkers. There's ample parking space but it can quickly run out on good sunny days. Many sections are pretty close to the main road and with the traffic noise it feels you're on the road instead of on the trail. We saw a couple of eagles and other birds. So a good place for birds watchers. Overall a good place for a long walk amidst nature.
Puneet Vanniar — Google review
It's scenic, it's vast. But as the name suggests, it's a mud bay. We were misguided to go there with kids. There is nothing for young children. It has a good walking/bike path, on the shorelines of the muddy bay. But the entry passage also gets muddy after some rain. Currently lot of improvement works going on, hopefully after some months it will become a nicer place.

Half this park is an natural establishment that looks decades abandoned. I was expecting this to be a popular spot for birds but I saw only one bird through the entire trail. I guess early June isn't the season for them or something.
The place have spoken a century of history. We are have a wonderful experience. My little girl so excited and have fun too. I am amazed how they rebuilt the old train and reconstructed the old train. The other amazing things are all volunteer who working with warm-heart and i can feel their sincere. They're telling story about their parents era (most-fully the volunteer around 70-80 years old 👏🏼👏🏼). Unbelievable!! Incredible! History past to young generation.
They do more some activity for kids and family now. Not always sit in train for longtime. Good attracting family-kids-friendly activity! 👍🏼. At the end of visit, we bought the honey.

Had a great train ride! All the staff (they are all volunteers) were absolutely wonderful and you could feel their enthusiasm for their work. I really enjoyed myself. The only thing I might have changed was going with another adult instead of my 5 year old son. I thought it would be something fun and different for us to do together but the truth is it seemed I enjoyed myself far more than he did. He seemed to be bored rather quickly, though he wasn't paying any attention to the interesting facts being told by the conductor. Some of the other younger kids also seemed to get a bit stir crazy by the end. I would definitely recommend coming with another adult (rather than a young child) who could better appreciate the interesting history of the railway. Everyone involved in the maintenance and running of this railway are doing an absolutely wonderful job! Thank you for all your time and the work you all put in to keeping the railway and it's history alive!

We took my elderly parents on this train today, thinking it might bring back memories. It's an electric trolley style car that used to run in the early to mid 1900's, and is beautifully restored and run well by enthusiastic and knowledgeable people. The ride, however, is uninteresting and bland as far as the scenery goes. You follow a highway and roads, see a bit of farmland and cross a very narrow river and see junk everywhere along the track. You ride out to a point on the track and then stop and go right back the way you came. Go for the trolley, the history and the experience. Don't go for great scenery! Parking is free, tickets are a reasonable price for the ride but we were disappointed that they were charging an additional fee to see the barn. We didn't pay the extra, and left instead.

Wow, we all said the same.. hehehe.. What a cute park built with wood, so cool! We had a lot of fun. Then walked in the trails and stopped to have snacks. They have picnic tables too, really nice trails to walk around but we didn't do all yet so will go back again. If you never been, check this park out only thing they didn't have is a washroom. Would be nice if they have because you have trails to walk which takes time so not easy for kids to hold a couple hours even me to rush home.. hehehe.. Oh wrong for opening hours because it said closed today but actually opened and I think it's open everyday. Big parking area

Love the small forest trail. To be honest the trails are a lot shorter than I expected but my little one was happy as he got to spend more time on the playground. The playground is fun. Pretty decent play place. There is a large play/climbing apparatus for the kids (adults can fit too😆). My toddler loved the three colored slides! It was pretty busy when we were there, but luckily all the kids were fairly respectful but I could see when it gets crowded some little ones might get run over.
The toddler play area needed some work there wasn't much to do in it. Could have used some blocks for them to build/climb on.
The food prices were reasonable (it is just fast food options: fries, hot dogs, and chicken strips and popcorn.
Lots of tables for parents to sit at while the children play!

Many shops around. The indoor playground was fun for my toddlers to play in. The space is big enough for a full size adult to climb on. The shops are quite new. There is an outdoor playground for parents to sit and the children to play. I wasn't comfortable for my kid to play by the water fountain right beside the outdoor playground though.
The only down side is that I couldn't figure out how to enter the mall on Google map the first time I came here. So I parked quite far away in the nearby residential street parking. You should try to map it and understand where the entrance is before you come if it's your first time.
There are lots of choices in plants and garden decors. As the labelling of the plants is very clear, I am able to understand what I need to pick for my small garden. Staff over there are very helpful. They gave me very good and detailed advice on how should I pick my right choices.

Not the nursery but soil products and disposal side. You pay for amount not weight. I came with 2 yards of dirt first trip and it was 48.00 to the dump then 2 hours later it was 87.00 for the same soil and same amount. The staff member said it was different dirt and that's the amount. At check out the staff member said the amount is determined by the staff in the yard and they set the price. Two yards is two yards. What is the correct price!
I went back to meadows landscape for disposal. I'll stick with the charge of 60.00.

I got a chance to visit Port Kells Nursery twice with my family for pumpkin patch. It’s a good place to enjoy with kids.
They have decent number of activities for kids like picking up pumpkin, feeding farm animals , play area in sand, photo booths etc.
The staff is helpful here. Compared to last year they added coffee counter at very nominal rates. Ample amount of parking is there on weekdays but not sure how much crowded it gets on weekend.
Apart from this, they have nice collection of plants with many varieties. Would surely recommend a visit here !!

Visited the pumpkin patch here and loved the way things are done here. Beautifully decorated Halloween themes, lots of variety of pumpkin, lots of photo booths. All in all a lot of fun.
This is a huge nursery and they have almost any plant you would want. The pumpkin patch is relatively small, but still a lot of fun, with small tractors, golf vans, decorated tractors, etc. Kids would thoroughly enjoy it.
They have chickens, pigs, goats, children’s play area, sand pit, gravel pit - literally everything the kids would want to love to do. My 4 year old had a gala time.
And guess what, it’s FREE. Even the pumpkins and plants here are so reasonably priced.
Highly recommend this place, so close to the city hustle and still nested away.

I cannot say enough good things about this rescue. We had them in our school and decided to invite them to present at our daughters 3rd birthday. I don't know if the kids or adults enjoyed it more 😁. The presenter was great with the kids and super patient. Just an overall great experience. If you're looking for an unique and fun presentation at school, daycare, school, private event etc book urban Safari. Unlike other presentations of this nature, these animals have been rescued! Thank you for such a memorable experience 💖

What a great place for kids and adults! Over 300 different animals to see! The price makes sense as they are taking care of all the exotic animals donated by pet owners, it’s about being sustainable and supporting these abandoned animals, not profits.
We had our 6 year old’s birthday here and the kids had a great time! It also feels great that the money paid sponsors the care of the animals.
They also take the animals to you on road shows and class presentations!

A very good place to take kids to at anytime of the year. Most animals are indoor, and all contained. It is not a petting zoo, but a place to find all weird animal people used to keep as pet. You expect to see many rodents and reptiles, plus some insects and fish here.

Really cool little place filled with so many interesting creatures you don't typically see. This is a rescue organization, so it's by no means fancy and is mostly volunteer run. Not for anyone who has a phobia of reptiles, amphibians and insects. But they also have furry creatures like rabbits, ferrets, pigs etc. I'm not a huge fan of the snakes but my kids LOVE this place.
Katie Lee McConnell — Google review
An amazing place to visit with the family and it won't set your wallet back. Besides, the funds do go to a good cause as the critters here are well cared for. It is also a great educational process to learn about the needs and requirements of these non-native species that are often victims of the exotic pet trade.

Great place that rescues exotic animals that find themselves needing a home. Currently requires an appointment to visit but so great for the kids! There are snakes, turtles, tortoises, lizards of various kinds, rabbits, Guinea pigs, regular pigs, and pheasants, just to name a few of the animals!
