The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is a charming covered timber-frame bridge that spans the Kicking Horse river, making it a popular spot for photographs. It offers easy parking and is open 24 hours a day with no fees. The bridge provides a peaceful setting to take a leisurely walk or sit and enjoy the natural surroundings. It is also flat, bike-friendly, and suitable for young children to explore.
Impressive all wooden pedestrian bridge over beautiful Kicking Horse River with beautiful views of the stunning blue water and surroundings. We enjoyed a nice walk along the river on both banks. Well lit with garbage receptacles and benches all along the river.

A peaceful little bridge for a quick walk. Flat, bike and young kids friendly. Gets a beautiful view of the river below on the bridge. Has cover on top so definitely rain friendly.

Nice place for a quick photoshoot. Bridge has information on its history on the side of the interior walls.
Marvel at its architectural bridge design. Built in 2001 of all wood, this is truly an impressive bridge.

Cute little bridge. Has a small area in its center to take photos of the river. Went there late morning and it was pretty quite.

The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is an architectural masterpiece that effortlessly blends beauty, function, and nature. Spanning the mighty Kicking Horse River, the bridge's striking silhouette stands tall, seemingly suspended in mid-air, connecting two sides of Golden. Its sleek lines and graceful curves evoke a sense of elegance, while its sturdy construction inspires confidence in its safety.

kicking horse pedestrian bridge was worth checking out while staying in golden for something to do. The colour of the water is so beautiful and so is the bridge! Doesn’t take long to check out. can sit on picnic tables and benches to relax and listen to the sound of the river very relaxing. Restaurants all around to go out for food or drinks. Nice atmosphere

It was extremely difficult to access this bridge via Apple Car Play - the road recommended is under construction and inaccessible to vehicles. We abandoned our car and walked because we could SEE the bridge but couldn't figure out how to drive there. Bridge itself is beautiful and the river is fast moving and looks icy green.

Nice place to see a piece of history and take a walk along the river in the Golden downtown. The scenery is breathtaking. Recommended for people of all age groups.

Known as the longest free standing timber frame bridge in Canada. The name tells you the hard work the man placed in for it to be shared and to enjoy. Take a little walk round the two paths and settle down for a drink or bites by the side of the bridge will let you feel the greatness of the area. Recommended place for kids too

In the heart of Golden, B.C. is this gorgeous covered bridge built over Kicking Horse River. This tranquil and friendly town is cozily nestled between the mountain ranges that run North and South of it. The town has plenty of amenities and the locals are very friendly.
Located in downtown Golden, Whitetooth Brewing Company offers a diverse selection of beers and a beautiful outdoor patio. The brewery features about 10-15 beer options, including flights for those who want to sample multiple brews. The staff is known for being friendly and the atmosphere is described as chill and open. While it's not a restaurant, visitors can order food to be delivered there.
One of my favourite breweries in BC. I love the range in styles, from sweet, warm Belgian ales to hoppy IPAs. This brewery could compete with the heavy hitters in the city. I wish I could find Blower Pow in the lower mainland. A little sad Jambrosia wasn’t on tap yet, but hopefully will be when I’m back next year. Smallish tasting lounge with excellent service. Fantastic patio when the weather cooperates!

We participated at the Nelson Kootenay Beer Festival in September 16,2023 held at the Railtown Baker Street location..there were two bands that entertained the participants..the Whitetooth Brewery table certainly offered quality craft beer offerings…the staff provided an excellent experience with informative comments during the tasting experience ….

Great beer, great location, lovely patio if you can get there on a sunny day. Super good quality, layered, highly drinkable beers. Served by Jérémie, who made a good night great!
Also, great designs on the to go cans, which we immediately bought on the way out after having a couple pints.
Can’t wait to be back.

Everything I tried was tasty! The place itself is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have good knowledge of what they sell.
Keep brewing! Cheers

Whitetooth Brewing Company provides a diverse range of take-away beers, catering to various tastes. While some flavors may not appeal to all, their inclusion of coffee options adds versatility. The inviting atmosphere of the bar and terrace complements the overall experience, making it an ideal spot for beer aficionados to unwind and explore new brews.

Stopped in after a long drive from Edmonton. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my flight so much I picked up a 4 pack to go. I've passed through Golden on a few occasions, but this was my first time staying in Golden for the night, and I'm glad I did as otherwise I would have missed out on this amazing craft brewery.

Terrific beers with a chill and open setting atmosphere.
There were about 10-15 options and there were flights which is always an attractive option. The staff is friendly and the beers were diverse. You order at the counter and grab your beer and find a table. The place is kind of a big warehouse with a decent amount of seating.
Not sure about the food situation but seemed you could order food and have it delivered there.
Prices were very reasonable especially compared to the rest of Golden which seems to be somewhat marked up.

Good beer variety on tap and friendly staff. You can sneak your dog onto the patio as well in a small section on slow days. We enjoyed a beer in the rain and the staff was kind enough to bring us an umbrella and wipe off the furniture for us.

West coast brewery tour continues, this day coming into Golden B.C. where this little gem was found. We do a lot of winter activities (skiing, sledding, etc) in and around the Columbia Valley so we will definitely be back….soon (now that the snow is falling).

Decided to leave a review after reading some of the others. We had a flight of beers and the waitress was incredibly nice as well as knowledgeable. Being from Germany I have quite high standards regarding the taste and quality of beer, but I was not disappointed at all. Great beer, great place!
The staff here were really helpful and gave us plenty of tips on local things to do.
There's also a nice little snack bar next to it that serves a good espresso, bubble tea and other snacks.

Very helpful but they are definitely focused on places in Golden and BC. So you won't get much info on activities in AB but that is to be expected. Definitely worth visiting to help plan your time in the Golden area

7 bucks to use the sani-dump... we thought that was acceptable until the machine took our money and gave us one minute to open the dump cap... that remained locked throughout the 1minute countdown... hope you do something cool with my stolen money, Golden

Why have public WI-FI that is so slow that it almost feels like abuse? Close it down to prevent frustrating visitors, because we couldn’t access any internet information regarding local places and attractions.

Absolutely love this space in Golden. The views, the vibe, the market was nice... Excellent space

Aside from the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge, it was a quiet but uninteresting place. Very few people in town during this time of year, surprisingly.

Beautiful setting in the heart of Golden! We stopped here to take in the farmer's market and were disappointed to see only 3 vendors present. Hours advertised were from 10am until 3pm and we arrived shortly before 2pm.

For a small town museum there’s a fair bit to see here and it’s pretty well laid out. Some of the artifacts aren’t labelled, but if you have any questions the staff can answer them. Admission is also by donation.

Very interesting with lots of exhibits to see. Stayed for an hour, but could have easily stayed for two. Friendly staff and nice clean facilities to boot. Donation encouraged but not enforced (However I recommend doing so to keep this place as great as it is). Thanks Golden Museum!

Neat little small town museum that has lots to offer! We spent about an hour here reading the placards and learning about the history of Golden and the region. There a width breadth of topics covered, including Indigenous history and the resource extraction history of the region.
The entrance is by donation and there is also a small gift shop inside with books, postcards, and a small selection local handicrafts. The staff here are also super friendly and eager to answer any questions.
Overall it is a great place to stop while in Golden and is great for people of all ages.

Not very good, we were expecting a little more, but the museum wasn't very well done. There was a lot of reading texts, the layout wasn't very good, and some parts looked like there was zero effort put in. There were tablets that had chords plugged in across the ceilings, some of the displays looked like it was part of a high school science fair, black and white Microsoft word document photo copies glued onto science boards. I know there's limited information to work with but a bit more effort could be put in for the only museum in town.

The museum was closed when we got there we walk around property look at some of the equipment that was there.

On Halloween in 2020 this museum hosted a haunted house walk-through and this is the only picture I have of it. What I'm saying is that this is a great place to learn about the history of the local region with friendly and helpful staff but please beware of the garden gnomes.
Absolutely love all the creative pieces by local artists! We have found so many perfect and unique images with great stories behind them and the artists!

An exceptional art gallery with an impressive display of artwork from local artisans on display. There is much within to delight the eyes. There are smaller and larger pieces one can purchase, along with prints and cards. I look forward to returning again someday and hopefully purchasing a larger art piece.
