The Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate is an elaborately designed Roman Catholic church built in the Gothic Revival style. Constructed in 1883, it boasts twin towers that dominate Guelph's skyline from its highest point. The church features intricate carvings and beautiful stained-glass windows depicting religious scenes that create a serene atmosphere inside.
Beautiful church, around an hour drive from Toronto. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Basilica is of the High Victorian Gothic Revival style, inspired by the Cologne Cathedral, established 1876 (see plaque).
As you enter, there is a life size crucifix to the right, reminding the faithful to prayer. To Jesus through Mary.

This Roman Catholic Basilica is built on the highest point in Guelph and gives you a great view of the surrounding area. The architecture is stunning with intricate carvings and two imposing towers on the outside.
Inside you'll find a very peaceful space with a very high ceiling and stained glass depicting many religions scenes. I'm not sure if the public is allowed up into the towers but I'm sure the views would be spectacular!

Gorgeous church. 😍
When we went there, there was a wedding tho, so we weren't able to go inside and infront of it so we had to stay aside. Luckily, it's beside the Civic Museum and Garden of Grace

One of the most impressive churches I have ever been too. A must visit when visiting Guelph. Got lucky and the organ was being played. Make sure you look up and see the impressive pipes. What a gem.

Basilica of our Lady has been one of the most beautiful cathedrals that I ever seen in Ontario just the history behind it gives off a amazing look and view we last came here in 2021 to check it out during the summer months amazing just amazing!

I was in Guelph for an unrelated matter and went to visit the Basilica (note I didn't buy actual tickets but only walked in and visited the public areas). It's a beautiful church, nothing to compare to french cathedrals.of course (I'm from France) but very beautiful nonetheless. I was lucky to be there a Thursday afternoon while an organist was playing. It was amazing... I would love to go back to attend an actual organ concert if I get a chance.

Such an incredible piece of classic architectural wonder. From the incredible limestone to the Christian stained glass windows, this place is a sight to behold. Inside the church, its splendor is breath-taking.
I was here setting up for a wedding with #blackpinefloral and her gigantic floral arrangements seemed so small when placed near and behind the altar.
Beautiful place to be married!
Congratulations Alexandra!

A lovely quiet place.
Went there couple of times but saw it closely for the first time today.
Haven’t visited inside so can’t speak about it.

Visited on a rainy sunday. The church is breathtaking inside and out. Lots of parking spaces. Seating capacity is good. Great place for attending mass in Guelph or nearby areas.
Apparently, there are supposed to be spires that were removed due to safety concerns. Overall, the church is still breathtaking.

From ages 3. 7. 12. 14 all were excited and impressed as well as the rest of us adults. Dropped by on Canada Day and was surprised to see the door open. Going in made to read the sign to enjoy looking around and taking photos but also asking us to be respectful by being quiet, removing our hats and not bringing in drinks or food. Fair. The stain glass was a treat as well aa the interior architecture which was impressive as the outside. My 14 year old daughter was in awe. Very nice church indeed. I wanted to break out into verse of Holy Holy Holy lol.
It was a beautiful stop and a memorable one which cost us nothing.
The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada is an animal protection organization that cares for and rehabilitates donkeys and mules. The staff volunteers are knowledgeable about the care and rehabilitation of these animals, and they provide visitors with information about donkey anatomy, behavior, and care.
We had an excellent time here at the open day! The volunteers are knowledgeable, the donkeys are amazing, and the rolling green hills are really beautiful. The only issue is that outside food/beverage is not permitted (not even water). I hope an exception is made for water next time since it was very hot out! Despite this, we had a blast!

It was our first time going and it was so cute! They have a little gift shop and you get to pet the donkeys. It’s outdoors and indoors so dress accordingly. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the donkeys and know each individual one. You could point out any donkey or mention one by name and you can hear their entire background story!

So happy to come back to this place! I had been here pre pandemic and was excited to come back. This time I brought my mom. She wasn’t sure about going at first but when all was said and done I’m not sure who loved it more! She loved the donkeys and the staff volunteers are great. They have so much info about the donkeys. We learned so much about donkeys. This is a great excursion. Highly recommend.

A great place for a day out, especially if you bring a picnic (I recommend bringing a cooler and leaving the food in the car, then eat after visiting the donkeys).
The donkeys all seem very well cared for, and everyone there was informative and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. Petting a donkey is also a wonderful experience.
I brought my 18 month old daughter, and she also seemed to have a great time, though she may enjoy it more when she's a little older.

This sanctuary is absolutely an amazing opportunity for the whole family or alone. The volunteers are so welcoming, thoughtful and knowledgeable on all the donkeys, mules, and hennies. This place is a must see and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get involved and become a sponsor/donor.
Kudos to all the great staff and volunteers!

This sanctuary is EXTREMELY well run. Rest assured that your donated dollars will be used properly! We were blown away by our tour in October. They have thought of everything to provide the best care for their critters 😊!

We had a great time booking the private tour for my mom who loves watching Donkey videos online. It was $150 plus tax coming up to $180 for up to 8 people.
They were very accommodating and kind. You can tell that there is a lot of care for the animals and we learned a lot! Our tour guide was great and very enthusiastic.
We couldn’t feed them as they shouldn’t eat treats for their own health. But we were able to pet the friendly ones who came up to us.
Highly recommend the tour for those that want to get a more relaxed and educational experience.

We loved spending time with the family here.
Learned lots, appreciated most donkeys from a far. But, got to touch and interact with the few that came close to the fence. Love supporting a sanctuary. They do great work

Such a unique and pleasant experience. It’s obvious that these donkeys are so loved and taken care of because visits are limited and everyone who works their is so knowledgeable. They have a cute little shop for all your donkey paraphernalia needs and do educational talks frequently throughout visits. My toddler loved petting the donkeys and wandering around exploring the grounds. I give our experience 5 out of 5 hee-haws

Such a magical place and what a great cause!! I hope this establishment gets more public recognition. I honestly wasn’t expecting much; however, my children (6, 4 and 3 y/o) had such a blast here petting and being up close with all the donkeys, mules, etc. — I actually had to beg them to leave. The volunteers are all so passionate, friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much during our visit. The animals are well cared for, they seem genuinely happy. If you are looking for a place to visit with the kids, please support this amazing cause!

I love love this sanctuary so much!! The staff take great care of the donkeys and mules; they are very friendly and nice and are willing to answer all your inquiries! I can’t wait to go there again, in the first time when I went there, I sponsored a donkey called Timbit because he stood out as a donkey for me! My sponsorship came in the mail and it turned out great!

Over 100 donkeys in this sanctuary! Big and little and every size in between. You can pet the friendly ones at the fences too! The people working there are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the different types of donkeys, like mules and hinnies. No strollers allowed so be prepared to carry the kids.
Tanzil Hudson — Google review
The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada has been a lovely, peaceful retreat for many donkeys, mules and hinnies with many backgrounds and stories (that they could tell if they could), for many years. We have sponsored several over the years (Kevin, Dylan, Eeyore, Teabiscuit, Honey).
In addition to the donkeys, mules and hinnies there is also a display in the old barn featuring natural artifacts that include mantid egg cases, bird nests and naturally mummified creatures; really cool.
I'm more of a horsewoman myself but have fallen in love with these wonderful rescued. Equines require special care and attention; this rescue organization does a solid job educating the public about the care they require.
The Aberfoyle Antique Market is a weekly flea market that offers a diverse array of goods and food kiosks. With over 100 dealers displaying their wares, visitors can find antiques, vintage items, and other interesting finds. The concession area provides a nice spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments. The sellers are friendly and the market takes COVID safety seriously with multiple hand sanitizer points and mask-wearing enforced.
Aberfoyle antique market is such a fun experience! There are several booths and tables to explore, you’ll find things that remind you of your childhood or remind you of your grans house, things your mom cooked dinner with and so much more!
It’s a wheelchair accessible area, friendly dogs on a leash are welcome, it’s a great place to take your kid to explore. There are even two little playgrounds there.
There is a little restaurant, as well as a few other food vendors. My kiddo likes the ice cream stand that has a candy shop attached.
My favourite vendor is chat noir, she has lots of vintage goodies, records, comics and more.

September 23, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We attended the Fall Saturday Special Show, and we were fortunate to have perfect weather since most vendors operated outdoors. With over 150 unique dealers, strolling through the entire market consumed a couple of hours. Admission was set at $10 per person, an increase from last year. Should you find yourself hungry, there were food vendors readily available. We came across some fascinating discoveries, it felt like a trip down memory lane. Prices seemed a tad high, but haggling was an option. The restroom facilities were notably clean and accessible. Today, my market haul included some vintage $1 and $2 bills. Overall, it made for a pleasant day out.

Not a bad place to go and spend an hour or two. I know they're trying to recover from the covid lockdowns but I think the price of admission is a little bit too high. Especially if you go as a family. We used to go almost weekly we're not going to do that now. One of the nice things about the place however is that you can find lots of collectibles or things that you wouldn't find anywhere else at pretty good prices too

This was my first visit. It is easy to find and parking was easy. It was a warm sunny day and between wearing a hat and sunscreen and the shelters there was plenty of shade. There are so many vendors and their displays are fantastic. We spent about 3 hrs, but did not see anything. There was a lot of gorgeous jewelry.

Pretty impressed with the Antique Market. First time going. Loved that it was outside. Nice setting - some areas under trees, etc. As a person using a mobility device, before paying, I asked if everything is flat, no steps. I was reassured there were no steps.
I was impressed that there were a lot of ramps but there were also a lot of places I couldn't get to because of a step or a ramp with a step.
Also impressed that there are a lot of spots for those with accessible parking permits!

A wonderful way to spend a morning, afternoon, or both for $5!!
Tons of vendors, almost exclusively outdoors in the fresh air, with some kind of collectible at every single price point from 75c!
Lots of parking onsite, decent bathrooms and some simple foods like breakfast, ice cream and beverages.
We've been attending a few times a year for years and will continue to do so!

Quite an expanse of area dotted with little store areas and sellers of antiques with lots to look through and find!
Go when the weather is permitting, as the majority of it is outside, or will have you walking outside between stores/sellers.

A huge sprawling treasure trove. Can definitely get overwhelming but in a good way. A mix of covered and uncovered booths with a variety of items from knick knacks to large furniture, books to lighting. Prices run the gamut from "wow that is a DEAL" to "omg who has the money for this but I want it". Will definitely be making this a regular stop.

Wow! This place is enormous! There are so many sellers, it takes a few hours to walk the area and even then, it’s impossible to browse all of it. Wonderful antiques, I particularly liked the antique seller that’s on the edge of the forest, her setup is very cute.
There are two restaurants here and a bathroom as well. We had burgers and fries, but if you get here early enough, you can make it in time for breakfast.

What a unique & massive market. Vendors from across Canada and some from US. Unique finds and very odd items for sale. Some items are overpriced in my opinion & some vendors allow for negotiating.
Allot a few hours to visit due to the amount of vendors in this outdoor market. There is also an outdoor style food court with patio in the center of the market, although we ate elsewhere.
Shawn Christo — Google review
What an amazing place! Much much larger than I was ever expecting, so many outdoor vendors, plus indoor vendors as well, plus food and a rest area! Amazing assortment of items and very interesting how different sellers choose to price and display their Wares. Loved how some of the sellers had clear pricing, had items lovingly displayed and were very engaging with potential customers....did not love how some vendors were impossible to find and nothing was priced in their areas.
Tried some food... it was great and fair prices!
A little bit of everything there for everyone. Very impressive and definitely I will return

You know it's a great antique market when 2 hours just isn't enough! The market is located outdoors and it's huge with lots of different booths and stalls selling items more than you can imagine. Anything you think may be here, is most likely probably here 😂 Part of the fun is looking for hidden treasures amongst the madness!
There is a small $2 entry fee and masks must be worn at all times during the market. Dogs are also allowed inside the market as well.
Fantastic place to walk the dogs on-leash, especially after a visit at the vet university. Our girl Shiva is being treated for cancer and she just loves unwinding there after her chemotherapy treatments. Peaceful, meditative, awesome!

If you live in or visit Guelph, you must walk through one of the city’s best kept secrets. Nestled beside the University, the Arboretum or living lab as it is called, provides 400 acres of fresh air and well marked wetlands, woodlands, meadows and trails that go on and on. We did a one hour walk in February and only saw a fraction of the gardens and trees on display. The spring and summer vistas with walking loops will allow you to see spectacular specimens of trees from around Canada. There is a nature center and conference center for educational events throughout the year. Easy access and free parking. You must go!

Came here today and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was. The gardens and trees were so cool. Lots of different trees and plants I haven't seen before.
The tadpoles in the pond were really cool, our 4 year old loved them.
The parking lot on Arboretum Road is huge and probably has 40-50 or more spots.
Two issues I noticed were: the only restroom we could find was a portable toilet, on one of the trails. No thanks. The other issue is that they have a great map, pictured below, but the map is located in the middle of the park. It would have been helpful to see it near the parking lot.
Aside from those two issues, it's a very beautiful place to spend a couple hours and walk around and discover. We'll definitely be back.
4/5.

As a wedding photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing this couples engagement session at The Arboretum. This is one of my favourite locations for engagement sessions, and I look forward to capturing photos here every single time.
There is such a great variety of locations, all of which are easily accessible by trails or walkways. There are so many spaces that I am always able to find a private space for my couples. I love the variety of trees, especially the field of grass during sunset is absolutely magical! Also if the Japanese garden is open, it’s a great spot as well.
Overall, the engagement session was a memorable experience for both the couple and myself. The fall season added an extra layer of beauty to the already stunning park, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture such a special moment in their lives. For anyone looking for a unique and breathtaking setting for their engagement photos, don’t even think twice!

We had a lovely time watching the play Matilda! It was a nice performance. The sound system seemed to be having quite a number of problems though that night. The volunteers have you scan a QR code instead of giving you a booklet about the play and the actors. Some people up in the galleries appeared to have a booklet though. Many kids came to the play and they managed well. I even saw some 6 year olds behind me!
Food and Drink: They have very few choices and no healthy options. They serve water, alcohol, cookies, chocolate bars, chips, and pretzels. They might have had pop too. You can only bring in water into the theater, no food. They charge a tip. The servers at the stand are dressed in suits and bow ties. There is a free bottle filling station across from the wheelchair accessible washroom.
Coat check: There is a coat check inside the building.
Box Office: It is inside the River Run Center.
Parking: The East Parkade parking garage is across the street from the River Run Center. It had lots of available spaces when we parked there to see the play. The play was two thirds full.
Auction: The theater auctions off items and has a lottery across from the theater inside the River Run Center. They auction off paintings, hand made items, Lego, dance lessons, gift cards, etc. There are many more auction items.
Washrooms: The lineups can be a bit long, so head to the washrooms 15 minutes before the play begins. They have about 10-15 stalls per washroom, but you can still be waiting awhile for the women's washroom.
Orchestra: They were below the stage.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator and a wheelchair accessible washroom. The theater also has ramps inside for wheelchairs.
COVID: Some people mask and others don't. Some people bring sick children in.

Having enjoyed the museum many times as a guest and used the venue for a conference, we decided to have our wedding at the Museum and it was total perfection. Linda and her team took care of every detail. We had the option for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, and chose to have the ceremony inside and the dinner outside, which boasts a picturesque view of downtown. We brought in our own caterer and musicians, and the Museum took care of the rest, including the bar and setting up the chairs and tables for the reception. It was lovely to have the museum to browse in between the ceremony and reception, and the surroundings - including the gorgeous museum itself and the Basilica beside it - were stellar for pictures. Highly recommend a visit to the museum if you're in town, and as a venue for an event.

If you are a visitor in Guelph, what a better place would you find to spend some relaxing time? Splash pad is a great attraction for the kids, and the adults alike in the hot summer day. Lots of seating places around the splash pad makes this place more attractive. This place is very close to Guelph central station. I hope to visit this place in winter to let the children skate

The cement seats are so close to the ice rink. Dangerous. The rink is smaller than some others. Free water fountain, warm change rooms and washrooms. Ice rink in the winter and splash pad in the summer. Recently renovated area with expensive price tag. The walls are so beautiful in the change rooms. Free safe needle disposal in the washrooms. Storage lockers too.

Beautiful area with a free outdoor rink in the winter. Changing color lights and lots of benches to sit. Heated and covered area to change and store skates and bags. Skate friendly mat around rink and coming from the change room to rink
Guelph Lake Conservation Area is a vast recreational space built around an artificial reservoir that boasts sandy beaches and forested trails for hiking. Visitors can rent or bring their own canoes and kayaks to paddle on the lake, which prohibits motorized watercrafts. The park is well-suited for families, with restrooms available on location and ample parking in the early hours of the day. Law enforcement occasionally patrols the area via boat.
This conservation area has a lot to offer year round. Of course really covid has interfered with its capacity and events being cancelled. The park is kept very clean. You can fish there as long as you have a legitimate license and the park is dog friendly but definitely requires a leash and the clean up after them. Stage can provide for a really great outdoor concert. The beaches are also clean.

It is a very beautiful place for a picnic and relaxing and daylong activities. Water is very clean and perfect for kayaking in summer. They also have some adventurous trail. Boating pricing is decent. You also need day pass per person while entering the conservation area.

This is a large park suitable both for camping and day use. The hiking trail that we used (the Red trail) was not difficult, but not too challenging either for the enthusiastic camper. The showers and toilets were well maintained, and the campgrounds ( we hired an electrical one) were well serviced with water and electrical outlets. This camp is suitable for those with camper vans and fifth wheels. We would have liked to see dishwashing stations to encourage people to reduce waste. The reservoir and dam areas have 2 beaches. The water was very suitable for swimming and looked much cleaner than Lake Ontario, where we visit often. We hired a 2-person kayak from the Grand River Rafting company, and for a very reasonable fee that included life-jackets, we were able to enjoy paddling around the reservoir for an hour. It was a very enjoyable time, and just an hour from Mississauga.

Totally blissful. You can come here to spend a nice summer day with family or just by yourself. We had a great time at the beach. I sat and read my book while enjoying the view and watching everyone enjoying themselves.

It is a really nice spot picnic spot. They rent kayaks and canoes, so you can paddle on a calm lake. There's a simple path for hiking that's not hard, and you can see a small waterfall too. They have a lot of grassy space where you can have a picnic, and they even let you cook on a BBQ. They also have plenty of trees and benches where you can sit and rest.
I think it's a great place if you want to have a fun day outside with easy things to do and nice views.

It's always a wonderful time to be had at Guelph Lake. You can rent canoes and kayaks, or bring your own, sit at the beach and enjoy the breeze off the 'lake'. It's a very family friendly location. There are washrooms on site and there is usually sufficient parking if you come early. This is a non motorized 'Lake' but you will on occasion see the fire department or OPP boats out patrolling.
The cost is very reasonable, but I recommend purchasing one of the Grand River Park passes so you can enjoy all the parks in the area

Went camping for the first time to Guelph Lake Conservation and it was huge park. The camping site was large and had a fire pit and picnic table with trees for shade. There are good size beaches which do get busy on the weekends. Lots of hiking trails, childrens playground, boat launches, perfect lake for kayaking and fishing. The washrooms were ok but could be better. There is also a water dam to walk to and look at. Firewood was a good price and nice and dry.

Guelph Lake Conservation Area is a hidden gem! I love spending time here with family and friends. The lake is beautiful, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking. We enjoyed swimming in the clean and refreshing lake, and the sandy beach was great for sunbathing and building sandcastles. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well-maintained. It's a perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts, and I highly recommend visiting this serene and picturesque conservation area.

Liked the beach and the water. The main beach is good to enjoy your free time and also do some fun water sports. We did kayaking and it really was hard to get to the beach fighting the strong current! A must go place for newcomers in Guelph.
N.B. no lifeguards are there, so stay safe if you do not know swimming.

It was a windy, off-season afternoon. After eating lunch on a picnic table by the lake I went off exploring trails for a couple hours. I was on old paved sections for too long before getting into wooded areas. The fall colours were beautiful. Overall I enjoyed navigating new trails for the first time but think I like the trails at Laurel Creek better.

A natural place with an extreme level of peace and serenity. Lot of camps are available for renting out and specific barbecue, parking stations are made for each camp. The ample amount of apple trees are around the trail. Fishing is allowed and good to relax hectic minds. Beaches are man made and wave/water doesn't hit the shores. It gives a foul smell of the pond sometimes as water doesn't have flow

Nice big park/conservation area. There is camping (tent and RV) available. The lake is pretty big with plenty of fish. However, the only reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the water seemed quite murky and greasy (from the algae perhaps?)

Great Park and nice beach. There are some great walking trails also!

We went there on a whim!! But the place was incredible. First of all the charge for a day is $8 per person which is good. Plus they already have started kayak rides there. And because the lake is way big than laurel or shade's mills, it's really good to just stay in the middle of the lake in kayak with you legs in the cold water. Such a wonderful experience, a place for a getaway.
McCrae House is a museum located in a charming 19th-century limestone cottage, serving as the birthplace of renowned author John McCrae. The park surrounding the house features a large bronzed book showcasing McCrae's famous poem "In Flanders Fields," with poppies available for purchase in the spring to plant in your own garden. The museum has an excellent staff and beautiful gardens, while nearby walking trails along the river provide additional scenic opportunities.
I was taught at a very young age, in my family home and throughout my years in school to recite the war memorial poem “In Flanders Fields” written by John McCrae. When I approached Mr. McCrae’s home, my heart skipped a beat and I felt tears well up in my eyes. In that moment, I felt honoured being able to visit the birthplace of someone who made history in Canada. I would recommend visiting the home of Mr. McCrae to those who appreciate Canadian history.

First visit today to the John McCrae House museum in Guelph, Ontario. It's a wonderful memorial to a man whose words, penned more than 107 years ago, still resonate today and remind us why we need to never forget the conflicts of the past and heavy prices paid in shedded blood and tears. Thank you for making this monument to this famous surgeon. May he ever rest in peace.

Ive always loved this quiet, quaint, pretty memorial park and house- it's John McMcraes actually birthplace. I particularly love the large bronzed book of the poem "In Flanders Fields" featured in the park. You can purchase poppies in spring to plant in your own garden. Lots of street parking and the beautiful river walking trail is across the road. Easy walk or drive for an icecream at the Boathouse, or a bit farther for restaurants. Down the hill from the University of Guelph.

Small, but fantastic museum in the birthplace of John McCrae. In addition to personal artifacts, the exhibits give more information about McCrae's life besides his time in WWI. I especially enjoyed his sketchbooks. The memorial garden is also lovely to spend some time in.

McCrae here seems a little airbrushed. In this former home, I'd prefer a little less 'shrine' and a little more about who this Cape Hatteras-loving poet really was. Overall it's still impressive!

A nice clean facility. Parked in the garage and it brings you right into the arena! Was excellent. Concession stands are right in the rink so you don’t miss any of the action. Seats were comfy with good leg room. And the Storm fans were nice to us visitors as well! Even when the Spits came back to win.

I'm always impressed here. The quality of the arena for a relatively small OHL city is great. The boxes are amazing, with great service and food options, the general seating is very good, even for relatively big people liked me, and the food and beer options are far more reasonable than many other similar sized arenas.
My son's hockey team also uses the centre frequently for their games, and the ice is always great, and the staff is wonderful

So I was at the Guelph Storm game tonight. I'm waiting at the front of the line for the roast beef carving station in the concourse area. A guy steps to the area where the other guy is carving the beef. He grabs a few pieces of the meat and walks away. So when I get to the carving station, I asked the carver if those pieces there are samples. He says no. I say,
well why did that guy take about three of them? He says because he works here. Really? Is that how it works?

There are many farmer's markets around and so far in Canada, this is the largest, organized and really great farmer's market with outdoor tentages and indoor stalls. Outdoor ones sell fresh produce like fruits and vegetables while the indoor ones sell cheeses, fresh meats, cooked food, coffee etc.
When I was here the weather was great and from my observation, most people buy apples here and the apples look really fresh, some customers buy them and the kids eat them on the spot which shows how fresh and nice the apples are.
The prices here are definitely higher than supermarkets but the quality of produce you can find here certainly beats those found in the supermarkets. Everything sold here looks like they have been carefully planted, harvested, cut and cleaned.
This place is definitely a great place for a family outing with the kids able to interact with the producers and have fun choosing what they like to eat and breathe some fresh air.

Always a fun outing visiting the local farmer's market. Many different types of vendors including produce, crafts/art, meats, cheeses and specialty food products. There is only one ATM there that often has a line-up, and unfortunately the aisles are so narrow inside the building that it can be difficult to get through with all of the traffic. Prices are standard for markets, but make sure to walk around fully before buying as there can be better bargains with certain vendors for the same product. Also, make sure to check for labels on the produce, as not all products are locally grown (a Grown in Mexico tag was found on a bunch of green onions I purchased that the vendor put in my bag from a big bin). The apple cider donuts are always a great treat, but note that there will usually always be a long line-up for these.

Stone Road Mall is an indoor shopping complex that features a diverse range of chain stores, a movie theatre, salons, a food court and an area designed for children to play. It is one of the top destinations for shoppers in K-W due to its cleanliness, convenience and superb selection of retailers. Great mall with some shops not in other malls in the region. I drive in from out of town and I am never disappointed. The food court is also pretty good if you are looking to eat on your visit. I always hit up the lush on my visits as it's one of those shops we don't have in my hometown. My kids like the chocolate shop! This Indigo location is also a nice one. 👌 Worth a stop in to shop this mall.

Stone Road is clean, accessible and the selection of stores couldn't be better.

Only complaint is the Food Court Seating. Some of the chairs are too cramped for certain individuals. A slight alteration of the distance between table and chair would be welcomed by many.

Honestly, it's an ideal mall. It's a straight line from one end to the other, the exception being the food court. It has the usual big name stores, but it also has some local stores which is nice. Like most malls it has a store for anything for your looking for. The food court has the usual good variety of restaurants. Tons of parking. I could see this mall getting crowded on weekends. It's conveniently a block from Hwy 6.

Really nice updated mall, but I was stunned 😲 at the cost of everything and the sky-high inflation. The costs of things there in NO WAY resemble what costs are in TEXAS! I got a smoothe and a small cheese 🧀 croissant, and it was 15.00 DOLLARS 💸💵💲🤑!!!!! SIMPLY insane in my humble opinion, and the ROOTS store was so out of line that I just laughed 😅 and walked 🚶♀️ out. If you go here, it's nice, but you better be ready to pay 4 times ⏲️ what everything is worth! Let's ✋️ stop the insanity, lower the outrageous ⛽️ gas prices, reduce sky-high inflation, and keep tourism strong !!...SAFE TRAVELS TO ALL!!!!!

The mall is nice and clean. The new food court is also a good place to chill and enjoy some food, I wish they had better options for food as they are very limited. I also wish they still had some of the old stores which were good.
If you're a female just be careful when you're sitting at the food court because on August 9th, 2023 at 3 pm a creepy guy was sitting there watching me. He looked black or Somali and in his early 20s possibly. He just made me feel weird as he just kept staring at me without turning away. Just be careful if you see this guy because he made me feel uncomfortable.

PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING:
Interesting experience here! My friends and I left Bonkers after browsing for about 10 minutes. We went to other parts of the mall and shopped. On our way to the food court, we were stopped by a male security guard, and my friend was asked to return to the store as the manager insisted something was stolen. We entered the store and the manager was wearing the most devious, smug grin I have ever seen in my 35 years of life. Head tilted, eyes wide with excitement, finger pointed directly at my friend. I was already angry at the attitude coming from this woman since I confidently knew my friend wouldn’t steal, so I left the store and stood at the window to watch from afar. The manager and Paul Blart had my friend empty her bags (FULL OF PURCHASES FROM OTHER STORES!!) and remove her coat. The rent a cop even asked if he could search her hoodie pockets which are too small to fit an iPhone, much less a stuffed animal. I went back into the store to check up on my friend and found her behind the counter, reviewing the security footage with the manager. As I walked up to the front counter, the manager said “HI!” very condescendingly, as if she was facing the suspect of a 45 year old cold case that she personally solved. Or as if she was busting a 15 year old teenage kid for petty theft. After accusations from the manager, My friend was the one who suggested that they actually review the cameras together so everyone could come to an accurate conclusion. After reviewing, the store manager finally took the time to walk over to the shelf to check for the stuffed animal, and found it sitting right where my friend had left it! Sorry Nancy Drew, but the Bonkers staff have officially left you jobless! Why check for the “stolen” merchandise when you can just point a finger instead? Probably the highlight of their month as the manager (I think her name is Amanda) seemed genuinely excited to have caught my friend in the act. The cherry on top was the grossly inauthentic apology my friends and I got as we left the store. “Sorryyyyyy guys.” Hopefully this was a teachable moment for Amanda, but I can empathize with her. Once you age past 35 it’s hard to change the way your brain is wired. Will not ever be returning to this location, and if any of my friends or I had actually purchased something, we would have immediately returned it. Bonkers customer service! ROCK ON BONKERS STONE ROAD! MAY YOU ALWAYS REMAIN HYPER VIGILANT!

During my public and high school years, my parents took my brother and I shopping to buy new outfits for our first day of school in September. They had a back to school sale. Also they bought lunch boxes, school supplies, a new pair of running shoes, etc..
When I got older, I still went back to shop at my favourite stores.
They build a new Entrance to get into the Mall where Sears used to be till they closed permanently. They do have a water fountain next to Dollerama. They have a lot of variety stores to choose from.
They also have a food court with a variety of restaurants. They do have a big diner with lots of tables and chairs to sit down. Sometimes, I stopped to sit down on a bench or a chair to rest. The people who work in these stores, that I shopped at, were very nice and pleasant to talk too.
They do have Washrooms and Wheelchair Accessible Entrances. They do their best to keep the Mall and the Washrooms clean. They do have a huge Parking Lot with Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots and several Entrances to get into the Mall.
Behind the Mall, they have a Garage with 4 levels to park our vehicles. They do have an elevator and stairs to use. They do have Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots and Entrances.

Loved it!! Great indoor room and outside patio. Our server was exceptional. I loved the "food" menu...as prices were not unreasonable at all and they had a GREAT selection of various snack foods....so many places offer so little variety but not here. The sausage on a bun was superb.
We had the welly imperial stout and it was the absolute best! I'd guess this will be my favorite brew of the year.

My favourite beer is Imperial Stout, formally called Russian Imperial Stout. Thank you Wellington Brewery for taking out the terrorist aspect of the name. I don't buy 6 packs of beer but rather try individual beers to see what I like. Having done this for years and having tried most of what is out there, Imperial Stout is hands down the richest beer on the market. Can't wait till late August when it's available again.

I drink a lot of beer, and for people who want to know why this stands out among a crowd of colourful beers at the LCBO, I can tell you why. All of their beers are true to style, inoffensive and flavorful. bitterness with a crisp finish on their lighter beers, and a well rounded flavor profile on their darker beers. I also have to give them props for their can design; the other breweries need to stop letting their children design their cans with crayons.

A short visit with my buddy and really enjoyed the beer but........The atmosphere sucks. Inclusive signs all over, a list of behavior's not tolerated posted ALL OVER the place like in your face kinda signage. Every time I go there it seems the employees are all on edge, ya just can't relax. Go to FIXED GEAR, it's fun AND has a great vibe for me at least. As a male, I found it much more appealing, if I can say that anymore.

Historically I have not been a fan of their beer, but my wife loves the New England hazy stuff they brew. So I ordered her some beer and some for me to try again for Christmas. Wellington happily took the money upon ordering and have not responded to a single email following up on the order (four sent now) - we are on Day 23. Terrible customer service, a coworker orders from them for our office supply; will convince them to try somewhere else because of this incident.
EDIT: Wellington Brewery contacted me finally after this review and solved the issue. They said it was a one off and had the order delivered via someone's car (instead of company vehicle). Everything was resolved in about one hour and the delivery was at my door with a refund. Outstanding service once it was tracked down.

Outdoor patio is great. Flight samples were a great way to try different beers. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful to decide which kind of beer to try. Service was fast. Munchies available but we didn't order any this time as it was close to our dinner time.
Attention! Brewers, sleeman products are great especially the sleeman original bottle. Now.... the 2.0 thts a different storyit has a weird taste and always has! You really shld fix this. As michelob ultra, and bud light do not. You cld really make 5 to 10 percent more sales!!!!!! Now thats alot.

I've tried to contact sleeman through their website but always comes up error. Had a case of beer with 2 defective bottles. First bottle had a crack down the neck and a chipped mouth piece. 2nd bottle was 3/4 full with the cap still on. Paying $45 a case these days I expect to have 24 drinkable beers not 22

They no longer offer tours however you can go upstairs and have a great view of the bottling room and mini museum. A very nice man showed me around, and I had a free taste of their IPA. Enjoyed a Cream Ale on their patio which was very affordable ($6-something).

They used to make really good beer here until they decided to add corn syrup into the recipes. Pretty noticeable, and not very enjoyable.

I bought a pair of their glasses online and Canada Post mistreated the clearly-marked-as-fragile package, breaking one of the glasses. I called Sleeman and spoke with a woman who was as bubbly as their beer. They shipped me a replacement which arrived in a few days. Beautiful glasses, fantastic customer service! Their beer is excellent, too!

Love the bar. Very inexpensive brewery tour. Worth a stop.

Stopped by the brewery while on vacation. Their Honey Brown lager is my personal favorite.
The gift shop was clean; offered a descent variety of merchandise and BEER.
The customer service representative lady was friendly and directed us to viewing areas. I wish I was available for a tour - next time; but I'll always remember the visit.
Got a hat and a shirt and a cozy; and a 6 pack of honey brown tall boys.
Great Brewery. Great beer.

Took a brewery tour for $10/person. It was a great experience just seeing how beer is made. The guides are very knowledgable. And this is a CANADIAN brewery, so SUPPORT! Even though it's been bought by Sapporo. Ha. And there was tasting of different beers, plus a little souvenir!!! Must visit!

Ok selection of beer but they have a unique flavor in all their beers. Maybe the type of yeast they use.

Will admit I am biased towards Sleeman Beewery as 2 of my family members work there! But, I do not like your 'regular old beer'. The Coors, Labatts etc. I do enjoy a good tasting beer. My favourite from Sleemans is one they don't make ofter as it is a more bitter beer, their Lager...or green label. We enjoy trying different brands but always look for a well made beer and not one that just throws a whack of hops in to cover any mistakes etc! I wish Sleeman would of made their non-alcoholic beer with no lime...eew. Sometimes it would be nice to have a beer with the alcohol....sigh. oh well. Still good tasting beer for those that like to try other things.
One of my favorite craft breweries! Always warm welcoming and knowledgeable staff.
The smoked honey is one of their staples well enjoyed by all.
Today I paid them a visit to see what was new and I'm glad I did.
"Niklaas" now on sale! Very delightful on the palate especially for being 9%. If you can get one before they sell out I highly recommend it.
Community Collab with Guelph Arts Council is spot on. I don't normally enjoy a pale ale but this is worth trying.
Love the staff and what they do, keep up the good work !🍻

We had a large work group (24) go in for a well deserved night out. We were greeted with enthusiasm and eagerness to please. Our waitress was outstanding and never missed a beat with making sure we were all happy. The large drink menu was a huge benefit and loved the ability to "taste" an item beforehand. The food...the food was beautiful. Kudos to the kitchen staff for the incredible meals and snacks they provided. The portions were huge, fresh, hot and well worth the prices. We all had a fantastic night out and want to thank all the staff for accommodating our group. We will definitely be back.

First time at the Royal City Brewing Company (Saturday Oct 2nd 2021 - Approx 8:30pm)
I always drive by but never had the opportunity to come in to checkout this amazing Brewery Company.
The store itself has a great setup and display. Besides being very clean and have a great atmosphere 👍🏻
Their staff is very friendly and helpful. I was assisted by Britney. She is so knowledgeable, super polite and friendly.
The beer that I purchased here at the Royal City Brewing Company was just perfect... very cold and ready to be drank; not like the ones you buy at LCBO and/or the BeerStore that they are just cool.
The Royal City Brewing Company location is just perfect for me, is at only 4 minutes from my house, but now that I know the place, I will come no matter the distance. I regret that I didn't come before.
I waited until I had my beers to provide a feedback.
The Royal City beers are amazing, very tasteful and refreshing.
The Exhibition IPA and the Riverside IPA are my new favorites.
If you are thinking in having a great, delicious and refreshing beer... don't look any further, the Royal City Brewing Company is the place to be.
Fully recommended 😉😁😎🤟🏻🍁🇨🇦

Finally got around to checking out the beer hall and so glad we did. We got the pretzel trio and chorizo sausage with duck fat fries. All was really good.
Reminded me of Wurst in Toronto, but with more local beers. Will definitely be back!

They not only have excellent beers, the food is awesome! No words to say how good was the chicken schnitzel and the pan-seared trout. And ask for the vegan brownie 😋

We love having Royal City in the neighbourhood. Great selection of beers for reasonable prices. We’re just down the road, but you can’t beat free local delivery on a rainy/snowy day. Looking forward to the taproom reopening- here’s hoping that one day they open an outdoor patio 🤞🏼

Stumbled upon this pub looking for a place to eat in Guelph. Really fun atmosphere; great good and extensive beer selection. And a retail store too. There is an outdoor patio and picnic tables inside. My wife had schnitzel and I had flatbread--big tasty portions.

I hosted an event in the Beer Hall at Royal City and it was amazing! All of my guests (80+) remarked on how cool the space was and how incredible the food tasted. The staff were fantastic and special shout out to Amber for helping me plan the perfect event. 100% recommend Royal City for any event.

Fantastic renovation to create a beer hall at this great brewery. Good selection of beer on tap and alternatives available. Duck poutine is excellent. Very good and sizeable chicken sandwich. Will become a regular spot for weekend lunches

Had a great lunch here! Chicken schnitzel was soooo juicy (can you believe it’s breast meat??) and the cheesy spaetzle was a call back to mac and cheese. Loved everything with the acidic condiments (lemon, onions, pickle).
The sausage was also delicious, snappy and juicy chorizo yumyum duck fat fries were perfect - crispy and fluffy. The bun is not my fave - falls apart a little too easily while eating even when toasted well, doesn’t stand up to the sausage
Pretzels are a must here, we always get the trio with the sauces (curry ketchup is my fave) - super soft and well salted!
Bread pudding was good but a tad sweet and would be infinitely better with ice cream!
Would recommend coming when it’s not too busy (Sun lunch was quite empty) as we have found the food dips in quality when the kitchen is overwhelmed!

We have been fans of Royal city brewery for years - often stopping in to pick up beer to take home and occasionally sitting and enjoying a beer with friends.
However the newest service offered at RCBC is the Beer Hall, offering a nice menu of food items.
the night we were there - there were only a few other guests.
The space is rather large - and has long community tables which would accommodate large groups of people quite easily.
The space is well decorated, clean, and has a great atmosphere - without being too loud, or obnoxious.
I expected very basic food items - but I was pleasantly surprised by the menu.
I had the (seasonal) Turkey sandwich dinner sandwich with gravy, brie, and spicy mustard. We also had the Duck Confit dinner.
Both meals were spectacular
The flavours were great, and meals were well prepared.
This was a pleasant surprise to see such wonderful meal options on their menu.
The choices of beers on tap is quite an exhaustive list of in-house brew, local brews, collaborations, and more.
You will love visiting the Royal City Brewery Beer Hall for drinks, or dinner.
Prices were very reasonable for quality food.
The service was exceptional.
While the place wasn't very busy, the lady serving us was very attentive, friendly, and engaging.

Love it here!
Come here a lot and have always had a good experience. The food is great, the beer is great but what I really love is the people who work here. Such an amazing atmosphere and great people overall. They above anything make me want to keep coming back!

We tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon. One side was occupied for a private event, and the other side had a good variety of picnic benches. It was a nice vibe and the service was good. We only tried the duck fries which was great and had a flight each! Will be back!
