Bore View Park is a charming park located along the Peticodiac River, offering benches and a balcony where visitors can enjoy views of the tidal bore. The park features informative historical displays throughout its lovely green space. Although the timing of the tide was slightly off during one visit, Bore View Park remains a popular spot to view this natural phenomenon. As part of a larger river park system, it offers an enjoyable setting for admiring scenic vistas and observing the tidal bore.
Very nice urban park. Visitors Center very close by. Excellent viewing location to watch the Tidal Bore roll past.

Visit based on high tide timing.
Parking - can get free short time parking.
Seems overhyped as we didn't see any tidal walls. May be have to walk Ali g the river to anther place or bridge to witness that.

Tidal bore from this view is like no other. Facinating watch nature just be untouched by man.. yet observed with aww.. if your not from the coast its a unique site. Never the same twice as the water is constantly changing with the tides.

Nice park just by the Petitcodiac River. Wow, the colour of that river.. Beware where you obtain your tidal bore time information from. Some people were much better informed than we were, we arrived just in time to see the "back of the bore".

Lovely park space, interesting historical information all around!!
Tidal bore time was off by over 30 minutes, so I missed the bore.

The Bore View Park is a wonderful park. It is so well laid out, the amphitheater is fantastic. The park employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The entire park is professional and easy to enjoy. The Bore itself was a great sight, definitely worth the effort to get there.

Great place in the city to watch the “rapids” with great foot path all along the trail. We went at high tide and the waters were quite high and so were the winds. We didn’t get to see the rapids where you could actually surf on but the currents were strong. Definitely not a place to fall in during high tides. Nature really is magical.

What a disappointment to drive from NYS to New Brunswick to see a ripple in a river, the 6th wonder of nature?
The flowerpot rocks were cool, though. And we found excellent seafood in St. John, NB that we would have missed had we not gone there.

Went to view the tidal bore. It was cooler than I was expecting, with a rush of waves suddenly coming around the bend turning the river in the opposite direction. It was also 45 minutes earlier than the posted time. Free 1 hr visitor parking at the Visitor Centre next door.

Went 30 min early as other people reviewed their tide bores were early. There was a guide from the info centre right beside it giving free info in English and French to the entire group of people. The tidal bore arrived a few minutes late. Restrooms available in the info centre

Good place to view the tidal bore. Make sure to check the schedule of arrival time and come 20 min before the time. Ours came 10 min earlier than the scheduled time
Magnetic Hill Zoo, situated approximately 15 minutes away from Moncton city, is a vast wildlife park that houses over 400 domestic and exotic animals. It also boasts a towering playground, barnyard, and pony rides for visitors to enjoy. The zoo is the largest of its kind in Atlantic Canada and was named fourth on Canada's top ten zoos list in 2008.
The zoo is absolutely beautiful and such a lovely big space to walk around! The playground is amazing for kids as well. All the animals seem very well taken of 😊

We go to the Wild Lights display annually and it is always a magical time for the whole family. Our daughter (8) and her best friend have a blast. This year was a significant improvement from last - more lights, better maintained (last year a lot were out), and we loved the musical light display at the barn area. We were also glad to see some animals were NOT out - specifically last year the panther was out and was visibly distressed being directly across from a loud music and moving light display. We also stop for a Beaver Tail - and was pleased to see the dining area well spaced out and sanitizing wipes available to clean tables. However the lines we congested without adequate space for distancing. Also noticed a lot of dropped masks and some refuse in the walkways.
Wins - Light displays, affordability, playground, food and drink options, clean bathrooms, clear marking for walking and directions, and full evening of enjoyment.

Our first date was at the Magnetic Hill Zoo and we make an annual visit on each NYE. This year was one of the better visits for sure as tons of new lights and even the barn lights were sync'd to the music. It makes a perfect date location and so much fun to see all the lights!

It's been years since I've been to the zoo but decided to take my kids here for an afternoon. We went in October so there were some cute pumpkin/photo ops and some interesting exhibits and enclosures. The petting zoo was fun to feed the deer and goats as well and I'm so happy they finally have it fenced in rather than letting all the animals roam free like before. All that being said, the prices here were insane. 3 adults and 2 children for $64 and to top it off, they don't even provide you a map of the grounds. We were asked if we wanted to buy a map to help with "conservation". We exited through the gift shop and the prices there were equally as wild (excuse the pun). I was also a bit disappointed none of the food vendors were opened but perhaps because it's the off-season it wasn't available. Overall it was a fun afternoon for the kids but nowhere we'll be back to anytime soon due to the cost.

Perfect place to spend the day with kids. Lots to see as well as interactive experiences. Book ahead to avoid the line. Have loonies on hand for the feed stations. Kids can also do horseback riding for 7.00.

I recently visited this zoo, and I was thoroughly impressed by the wide variety of animals they have on display. From majestic lions to playful otters and everything in between, it's a diverse collection that caters to all animal enthusiasts.
What stood out even more was the impeccable cleanliness and well-maintained enclosures. The animals appeared healthy and content. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education was evident in their informative exhibits and interactive programs. It's a perfect family-friendly destination that provides a memorable and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
Went back again after the winter. I might just keep coming back.

This place is very well taken care of. The kids always love the huge park it’s a great spot for them to burn off some energy in the middle of our venture through the park. The animals appear to be well taken care of with reasonably sized enclosures. Come down from Truro every year. Can’t wait to go back.

It was interesting that the Magnetic Hill has a zoo. The price was quite surprisingly cheap ($9 for adults) and even cheaper for kids. We came early May during off season and there was no waiting time. The animal selection is just ok compared to other zoo I've been to, but it was still fun. The zoo was quite clean and well-maintained. It takes about an hour to an hour and half for us to see everything. The otters and goats were particularly cute.

This was our first visit here. was very pleased. prices are good.ànd lots of different animals to look at.
with there were more monkeysbas they are my favorite. and we went fist thing in the morning which was great for crowd wise but I think they animals would be more active later in the day. they were pretty lazy in the morning beside the otters.
also would be nice it the feeding times were posted somewhere for us to see.
the gift shops were very nice lots to choose from.
also don't forget to bring some change for the couple of spot you can feed a few of the different animals. they also do pony rides for kids 12 and under inthink it was $7.00

During the winter the zoo has a beautiful display of lights. Definitely worth taking that walk. You get to see some animals and you can enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and stay warm by a fireplace before continuing the walk and at the end you can stop at the souvenir store. lots of variety in items.

It was ok, I visited zoo where animals seemed more happy, had a better place to evolve, more space. The pumas just walked along the same path, so did the wolf, left me a bit sad. It make me think of the prisoner who walk the same path every day. I think it's the fence, there's too much of it. The Halloween decorations was top notches.

One hour fun for kids to roam inside watching animals seemed to be tired always. We see few play areas for kids and here and there bottled can vending machines and shops with snacks and drinks. We missed the water splash and dry games within the same area, soon next time! One day trip will be more fun ❤️

Although we only had a chance to view the Africa area, we were impressed with the animals and the facilities. The parking was ok, we were lucky to find a spot around noontime. And there was a long line at the gift shop. And some of the drink dispensers weren't working. But overall, still a great trip.

Centennial Park is a compact public green space situated in the western section of Moncton, New Brunswick. This park boasts various recreational facilities, such as tennis courts and ski slopes, that are open throughout the year. Visitors can also view several static displays showcasing military equipment like CF-100 Canuck fighter jets and M4A3 Sherman Tanks. Additionally, they can explore historical artifacts including the anchor from HMCS Magnificent and CNR locomotive 5270.
I've always loved going there for long walks, bike rides, cross country skiing, and barbecues with friends, and now that I have a baby I get to enjoy the kids park too! It's a well-lit, well-kept park. Oh and the new pool is great too! No complaints.

This is a park I go to often for an easy but very enjoyable walk. The trails are long enough to lose yourself in calmness and nature for a little while and separate yourself from town living, it is also easily accessible through the city bus (codiac) system.
In the winter it is perfect to go tobogganing or do some cross country skiing.

Magic Mountain SplashZone is a small-scale water park located in Moncton, New Brunswick. It offers a variety of attractions such as slides, pools, tubing, mini-golf and an arcade. The park also features food options and a gift shop for visitors to enjoy. The friendly staff ensures that the park is family-friendly with plenty of lifeguards stationed at the splash zone.
With no big line ups and wait times, the kids really had a blast running through all the slides as many times as they could.
The Lazy River gave us some time to relax and regroup in between the slides and wave pool. We found our favorite fries as well, so good!
Summer isn't summer without a trip to Magic Mountain.

👍 Fun wave pool, good slides, nice and clean, plenty of parking, can bring your packed lunch and snacks, a great family day.
👎the concrete walkways are really rough, there's got to be something that could improve those. Even with pre-paid tickets the entrance lines are pretty slow. A few more shade zones would be nice to escape sun when you need a little break from it. The timing between sliders on some slides seems unnecessarily long.

Great for kids and family. Newer water park. Offers food and entertainment. This water park is very clean and well staffed. Besides the water slides there is a lazy river and a concession bar. Lounge chairs are everywhere and plentiful.
Bruce Mitton — Google review
The kids had an absolute blast!! I think the price was well worth it. The life guards do an excellent job monitoring everyone's safety and take their jobs seriously, which I really appreciate!
The reason for the 3 star was that the main ladies bathroom was disgraceful, just filthy. There is absolutely no reason it should ever be like that. Also, the lines to get food were quite excessive. In my opinion, on busier days it should be managed better to get the food out more quickly.... but bring your own food and snacks, and go to the bathroom further away and all issues are resolved!
Definitely worth going! We will definitely be back!!

Never had a problem with parking.
Thinking ahead, we brought our heavy duty wagon along for ease in carrying our many supplies. We brought our own snacks and many different drinks (no alcohol allowed which was fine with our entourage).
Tickets were bought ahead online which helped us to avoid on site lineups for those paying at the gates.
Had no problems with any of the many water sites.
My lovely wife, Pat and I enjoyed four trips down the "Lazy River". Never much of a lineup, especially closer to the closing time of 7pm.
Wave pool was exciting. They have an alarm system which lets every user know when to expect the giant waves to start before the pool rests once again.
Everyone had a fantastic time. Rain was forecast but fate was kind and we saw no rain from when we entered around 1pm until Splash Zone's closing at 7pm.
Well worth the visit.
We could see what appeared to be rain clouds off in the distance up beyond the hillside where a local winery peers down upon this fantastic park.
All attendees were extremely outgoing and professional.
All areas were clean at the beginning of the day. We could see the cleanup process begining, once again, as we were leaving upon closing time.
During our stay it was refreshing to see life guards at every water playsite.
It was smart that we brought our own sun umbrella since every on site umbrella had been taken. Worth thinking about for protection from the sun's hot and burning rays.
It was entertaining seeing the many critters coming out as most all people had left. A few seagulls, black birds and a squirrel could be seen pecking at various morsels of food.

This place is awesome although being small scale theme park. We had a blast here and would definitely come back. Highly recommended to stop by if you're passing by Moncton New Brunswick. The staff are friendly and they have a lot of life guards at the splash zone. Family friendly. Although they can improve the rental on the rafts with time limit instead of full day rental that guests tends to abuse and not returning them at all until end of day. The bumper boat is so much! Slides are awesome. Kamikaze is the slide to try! The view is breath-taking at most times. Go to the top of the hill and you will see the great view of the park.

There you can find canteen, icecream, Beaver's tail. All facilities: washrooms, changing rooms, left-luggages, placesfor eating, sun loungers and so on.

The splash zone was sold out by noon and that's on Thursday so I'd suggest to buy passes online in advance. Waiting time for slides was about 25 minutes which is way too long, the wave pool was not too bad. Overall the average jam-packed waterpark, nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about either.
Magnetic Hill is a great novelty to check out on your way through on while staying in the area. The park has been fully capitalized with gift shops, restaurants and even a water park. It is a truly unique spot to visit and doesn't take too long to check out. 10/10

We went to magnetic hill park to experience magnetic hill. When we got to the hill itself, it was an absolute cluster F of vehicles going in all directions. They tell you to move over to the left lane beside the white post. Vehicles were trying to exit in the same lane. While we were waiting our turn, the guy in front of us got out of his vehicle and started yelling at us to put our vehicle in neutral and start rolling backwards even though it wasn’t our turn. Once we had our turn, it wasn’t what it’s cracked up to be - in our opinion. You’re rolling backwards down a slight grade to gain momentum to go upgrade? We got frustrated and left.
If anyone from the park Is reading this review, please take note that there needs to be staff coordinating traffic in this area or more signage in place in the area to direct people in lanes and where to wait their turn. As someone else stated in their review, it’s only a matter of time before there’s a fender bender.
I’m sure the rest of the park is a great attraction, but until this park sorts out this traffic coordination issue, don’t waste your money and time on this.

It was my first time to the park as I don't live in Moncton, I really enjoyed it, the trails are well kept. One complaint is the the alarm that blasted at me at 10:45 am for going to close to the washrooms! There was not one sign stated that the washrooms are closed for the season and no sign saying there are alarms. It almost shocked the pee out of me! Very upsetting. (I did get an email back front the city and the alarm had to do with the pumping station not the building)

Beautiful park. One main large loop that is very groomed and easy to walk (takes around 45 minutes) but has a few side trails along the way that are less groomed and more difficult (a lot of tree roots and rocks) which are also fun. I went to Irishtown Nature Park by bus. The 66 bus would stop right in front of the entrance, but on the weekend, there was only a couple 66 bus. If taking the bus, will need to check bus schedule and plan accordingly. It was convenient that busing there is an option.
There were bathrooms at the parking lot.
I went on the walking trail as I didn’t have snowshoes.
Dragonfly—>Bouctouche line—>Spillway—>Old Reservoir. Took me around an hour to complete the loop, with lots of stopping to take pictures and enjoying the views.
There were post signs around, which was very useful!
There was a good amount of people coming to this park (many with dogs on leash) around 11am - 1pm, but it was not crowded.
It was a great outdoor place to enjoy the nature in the winter time!
I learned from the info sign that Irishtown Nature Park is the first reservoir serving Moncton reliable water supply since 1878, and had been the only water supply until 1914, when another reservoir was built.

Oh this is a magnificent park, with easy and long enough trails for everyone and beautiful views. All the trails I have been on this park are mostly flat, which makes it easy for those with certain conditions. And all of them offer beautiful forest settings, completely natural surroundings and quiet time. The park gets you far enough from traffic noise (in contrast to Centennial park which is beautiful but some parts have too much noise during the day because there's construction going on in the back and there's a highway there too).
This is a beautiful place to go and relax, and enjoy nature. I recommend it in the fall (October, photos are from October 10), the colors are STUNNING.

Magnetic Hill Winery is a charming bed and breakfast located on the grounds of a winery, offering guests an opportunity to taste their delicious wines for free. The rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques, creating a countryside ambiance that is perfect for those who enjoy the rustic lifestyle. Additionally, visitors can participate in various activities such as crafting winter wreaths or learning new skills while sipping on wine and indulging in charcuterie.
Had my first visit to the magnetic hill winery. I am from Winnipeg Manitoba and was visiting my sister who has been living in Moncton for a month now. This was a place we had on our list to visit ever since my sister moved here. We had heard of this winery in winnipeg as a place you must visit when in Moncton. Let me tell you, you must visit this winery if you are in Moncton. We came to taste a few wines and enjoy some charcuterie. We definitely will be back in the summer to get a tour and tasting in. We recently visited the Magnetic Hills Winery on a cloudy day, and I must say, the experience was unexpectedly delightful! Despite the overcast skies, the views were still lovely.
As a couple, we found the atmosphere at the winery to be very romantic. There's something about a glass of wine and the quiet surroundings that really sets the mood for a lovely day out together. The presence of a couple of beautiful and energetic Australian Shepherds added a playful touch to the ambiance. These friendly dogs, presumably belonging to the owner were a joy to watch as they roamed freely around the property.
What surprised me the most was discovering such a charming winery in Moncton. The staff was warm and welcoming, and struck a good balance between being available when we needed them while leaving us to enjoy our romantic afternoon together.
We shared a flight of wines and each enjoyed another glass we were interested in so ended up trying 6 of their wines. All were interesting choices. My favourite was the rhubarb wine (very unique) and my husband liked their best seller. We both were intrigued by the maple wine — very sweet, but it makes a for some interesting thoughts on dessert or cheese pairings. It’s actually the one I’d most suggest trying as I’ve never had anything like it before!
We were here for the wine tasting, not as a guest of their guestrooms.

Came to make a winter wreath with Kaitlyn Blackburn of Two Blooms and enjoyed the wine and charcuterie while I built my wreath. Loved the setting and the ambiance! I would suggest this place for anyone who likes wine and learning a new skill!

My wife and I had a really great experience here, we came for her birthday to taste some local wines and enjoy the atmosphere of the entire grounds. We enjoyed a wine tasting with a very informative waitress who we later found out was the owners sister. After some time talking with everyone and drinking some wine, we realized what a great establishment that has been built by a lovely family whose clearly passionate about their product and the land that produces their fruits for a variate of wines they create and sell in house.

Amazing place :)
We went there completely unplanned and it turned out that the place was doing a trivia night that day which was lovely.
The staff were all very attentive and nice with us.
Special thanks to the party host/manager and Chantal our server :)
The wines we tried were of good quality as well,
We will stop by next time we’re in the area !
Good time guaranteed there :)

I had a great time at the winery. The lady who greeted us in the tasting room was very friendly and fun! She recommend some great selections. The OC By the Sea was my favourite. Really enjoyed that nice pinot. The fun and fruity were not my favourite as it kind of reminded me of Fruitopia, maybe better for people who like the sweeter side of wine. The view was marvellous, and you get lots of selection for a great price. Did not do the tasting tour.

We didn't stay at the inn but did enjoy the express tour and a flight of wines. We had a wonderful time. This is definitely worth a look! Take some time and sip some fine fruity wines at this beautiful and historical site 🥂

I wish words could describe how beautiful this property is. Ever since the first day that I tried their champagne flight, I’ve been back for one almost every day. Exceptional service, quality charcuterie boards, extremely reasonable
pricing.

Lacked personal touch, no information or interactions with the owners and limited dealings with the staff next store. Rooms are small, portable air conditioner noisy and sits ontop of a bucket into which it drains. At the winery tastings are a little pricey and some wines lacked distinction.

It's probably one of the best and most beautiful wineries we have visited. And trust me, my wife loves to try different wines. Say "Hi" to Beth.

Hi, my husband and I were among a group who booked a tour of the winery that included wine tasting. We gave two stars because we found the room we were in to be clean and charming. We also found the staff friendly.
However, we did not receive a tour of anything. We remained seated in one room and asked to spend an hour getting to know each other by socializing among ourselves. For this part of the 'tour' we were given cheese and crackers and a very small Mimosa.
The tasting was 6 very small samples. I was not given a glass of my favourite. My husband was my designated driver so he drank water.
We were charged $55 each plus tax. We thought that was a bit steep. In the past my husband had done a winery tour in Niagara Falls and his experience was much better there.
Kind regards,
Debbie

Went here for my bachelorette and the service was outstanding. They provided options for tables to make sure we had a great experience. They were quick and organized with the wine tasting and the winery even offered an outside event such as forever jewelry to provide guests with the ultimate experience!
The wine was delicious, the view was beautiful… I can’t wait to go back!

This winery has a very nice view and relaxing atmosphere. We did the wine tasting which we'll worth the $. We ended up buying some very tasty wine. We also enjoyed a glass of our favorite wine, however, we would have rather buy an extra bottle for what we paid for a single glass.

Great experience at the Magnetic Hill Winery - we only stayed for the wine tasting, while we were driving through the Magnetic Hill illusion. The place is both a winery and hotel. The tasting did not require a prior reservation, and well within budget (it depends on what you choose, but we got at $12/p). The staff was very kind and knowledgeable on all their wines. The place itself is very large - there's two storeys to the main building, and many areas to go outside - large patio.
The luxurious Casino New Brunswick offers state-of-the-art accommodations with contemporary rooms and suites, a buffet-style restaurant, and an indulgent day spa that features a refreshing pool. The hotel also boasts of a 24-hour gym, free parking for guests who drive, and helpful multilingual staff available round the clock to assist with sightseeing, directions, or local dining recommendations. Reviewers have praised the hotel's comfortable beds and excellent pool facilities.
Had a wonderful time at the casino with family playing slots and enjoying it to the fullest. It was not too busy and loved every minute of it. New games and fun all night long. Highly recommend it to enjoy some fun gambling.

Staff are super friendly and free coffee and soda pops in a machine, self serve. I liked how in the back there is RV parking and being a vanlifer it's a sweet set up. The staff are chill.and very helpful when I was asking about the parking overnight deal. Made it so much less stress after driving and being able to swing by , play the tables and machines then head out back to my little home on wheels.
Thanks for the hospitality.

We both thought the service in the Pub was lacking. It was slow to get seated, even though 1/3 of the seating was empty. Our table wasn't even cleaned off when we're seated. When we saw the menu and the pricing we opted for fast food when we left.

Buffet price has gone up significantly vs a few years ago. Current members price was $24 vs $15 last time I went. Selection was also a bit lower than previously as well. Service was excellent (much better than previous visit) . Overall I would still recommend it.

Pat, my lovely wife and I, live not far from this fabulous casino. We first visited this establishment just after the height of COVID back in 2021. Restrictions were still in place. Gambling tables were not open. Buffet was still closed down and attendance was low. Shows were still not taking place.
Some time later, Pat and I have been delighted to have attended one of the first showings, since COVID restrictions, in their large stage area (Buddy Holly tribute). Seats were not packed since many people were still playing it safe and staying home. The shows venue and performance was fantastic.
We've both enjoyed a few meals in the casino's small restaurant within the casino's main floor area next to the many gambling machines.
We have also been to their large buffet area for at least one of each of the afternoons they are open. Each night open there is a different special and selection (repeats every week).
We strongly recommend obtaining their membership card, if of age, for meal savings at every visit (cost nothing).
Be careful, it's very easy to gain weight at their buffet. So many items to choose from and we've yet to find something we didn't like. Meals are delicious and I always have trouble leaving room for dessert, but I do manage. Even with their desserts, the choices are many.
Weve learnt that if one needs a dessert without sugar, just ask one of the attendants and they will happily bring an item out from behind their separation wall.
This is but another place Pat and I enjoy being able to treat ourselves to once in a while, here in Moncton, NB.
Neither of us are big gamblers but we do enjoy meandering through the Gambling area on our way out (buffet is at the far end of the casino floor).
Pat and I have brought loved ones to this place more than once and will continue doing so in future, God willing.
Since we live so close to this casino, renting a room has never been a consideration but, from what we've seen, we're sure they're well kept.
Both of us have enjoyed walking their main hotel corridor which displays past celebrities that have performed and stayed at this fine casino/hotel.
We have also driven along their back parking lot to check out the many different campers using their lot for temporary parking. Very nice layout and compassionate of the owners to allow campers with limited parking.

Great service at the hotel check in today. The employee informed us that since we were booking a suite for two nights we could take advantage of the extreme players package. Our room was cleaned once during our 4 night stay.
The checkin staff refused to even entertain checking us in early, citing that our room wasn’t ready at 3pm. He was very rude and condescending. Yet the cleaning staff informed us they stopped cleaning at 2pm and all rooms were ready.
The pool and spa conveniently closed the first day of the YQM festival and reopened the day it ended.
They hyped up the amazing shower in the king suites, that was a major disappointment. It was a large shower that was narrow, without shelves and just had 1 single shower head.
The lighting in the room was absolutely terrible.
The staff in the bar/casino area were lovely.
Overall the experience was underwhelming and definitely not worth the money paid to stay there.

Was there many time but mostly for concerts the venue is awesome and big but my only issues are that if I paid to see a band and I have to sit I don't want to have security standing in front of me so I can't see the show thats not what I paid for also your pop prices need to be lower considering your only using cans of pop to fill cups. Also the buffet is absolutely wonderful 😋

The buffet host with blonde hair has the LEAST welcoming vibe in the history of restaurants. If she's trying to do an impression of someone who hates her life then someone should let her know that we get it already. LADY, why do you hate every restaurant customer? People are afraid to ask you a question because of your overall demeanor. CHANGE your attitude and stop being such a stuck up RESTAURANT MANAGER and ruining people's dinner.

Resurgo Place is a capacious complex that comprises the Moncton Museum, Transportation Discovery Centre and Visitor Centre. The museum is an intriguing destination to explore for those interested in the history of the area, especially about women's roles during World War II. It has three floors which can be accessed by elevator and offers a well-designed interactive floor display of the city. The washrooms are clean, and there is a small gift shop on-site.

A beautiful kid-friendly museum with lots of activities and interesting things for families. Seriously, this place must be crazy busy on the holidays.
The exhibits are new and easy to interpret and the building is full of natural light. I went with a senior, more interested in the history of Moncton, and we weren't overwhelmed with information but found a basic, very interesting selection of artifacts, from transportation, settlers, sports, music, etc.
We were invited to also visit the adjacent Free Meeting House, which our guide brought to life with a few stories.
All the staff were eager to help and share.
Lots of tourist information and brochures available in the foyer.
Treego Moncton is an outdoor recreational center that offers a variety of thrilling activities such as zip-lining, bridges, and climbing obstacles through the treetops. The course takes about 2 hours to complete and provides excellent value for money. It is considered highly recommended for those seeking a total body workout while having fun. Participants can expect challenging courses with many obstacles and ziplines. The center also has friendly staff who are willing to provide assistance when needed.
Fantastic fun for everyone. Various difficulty levels for most ability levels and ages. Red level and up need to be teens or adults. Quick yet thorough safety demonstration at the start then you’re off! The harnesses can chafe so wear decent shorts or long pants. Can get a bit high if heights are not your thing! #Moncton #CentennialPark #Treego

There are 4 adult courses with varying difficulty, you progress from easiest to hardest. It took an hour for my two teenage kids and I to complete all 4 courses.
You may find this activity challenging If your scared of heights (up to about 80' off of the ground), If you have poor balance or lack coordination or If you have poor upper body strength.

Came with a group of ten others and had a blast! The staff here are friendly and do a great job teaching the ropes. The course is diverse and has a fair amount of challenges to make two hours breeze by. Each section gets harder than the next which helps with the decision of how long to go, and makes it easy to move at your own pace. Would definitely recommend making a stop here if you’re in Moncton as you’ll feel like you’ve earned your dinner!

Highly recommended! Great value for money/time. Course took about 2 hours to complete. Lots of obstacles, climbing, ziplines. My nephews have been here before, but this was my first time (I'm from Ontario). The courses are challenging and are a total body workout. Olivier/Jesus was a great help when my visor fell off, he was able to recover it from the brush below. Sadly, I had to tap out before beginning the final stage (black) as I had already done a morning of kayaking and my arms were spent - that and I was overheating in 30*C+ weather with high humidity. Next time I'm out this way I'll be sure to have my hubby and kids try this out too.

Lots of fun for the price ($38 for adults summer 2017). You get to navigate aerial obstacles and hook yourself up to many zip lines. First time doing a zipline / tree top course and it was awesome! Took about 3 hors to complete all courses with the orientation/demo included. bRING GLOVES! You will have sore hands / will not be able to complete if you don't. Uses a fair amount of core / upper body strength and need to be able to grab a line 5'11" high for adult course. Each section give you an opportunity to skip the next if the previous was too challenging.

Bring gloves! Lots of metal wires to hold on to that'll tear your skin off with time.
Really fun for adults! It's a great workout while challanging yourself on each obstacles. There are a lot of varities. 4 difficulties that I highly recommand doing them all!
I normally don't like hights too much as i'm always measuring in my mind if i'll survive the fall or not, but with the harness you feel super safe. There's a very well explained tutorial at the start how to use them you'll be sneakly followed by someone for your safety, but it feels really nice not being hand held all the time there.
There's a children section too if you wish to bring your little ones.

Riverfront Park offers a variety of activities for visitors, including multi-use trails and picnic areas along the Chocolate River. Monuments and lookouts provide additional points of interest. The park features a short trail starting from Hal Betts SportSplex towards the right-side road under the Gunningsville bridge, which offers a pleasant stroll or bike ride with beautiful views of Riverview city and Vaughan Harvey blvd.
Stayed within the local parking lot of this park for the most part. Was on the downside of a recent cold (not COVID) and was just chilling while my wife attended the recent Scottish Events Festival.
Did go for a short walk and was treated to a guest performance by a local Stout (Short-Tailed weasel). It was after a dead mouse on the trail but was being kept back by the many humans. After watching for a bit I gave it relief by taking a stick to flip the dead mouse off to it's side of the trail.
Walking by later I noticed the mouse was gone (=happy Stout and, possibly, the Stout family since it was almost the same size).
Look closely in the distant shot and you will see the Stout posed to the right of sign post.

I always love to walk this park any time of the day. Perfect place to see July 1st fire works. Snowbirds and other events happening around Moncton.
Plenty of places to sit. And River views with tide. Summer full of events.
One thing less is washrooms. There was one long time ago. But now only during events.
There are information about old Moncton. And nature. You can ride bicycles. And open 24 hours.

Peaceful in the early mornings, great event space for things like Canada Day and excellent location to get both urban and nature in your visit to Moncton.
This is also not far from a spot where you can see the tidal bore twice a day. Avenir Centre is next door, the downtown food and bar scene as well.
For the animals and kids, there's lots to do as well as the trail system goes on for a while and there's plenty of green space.
Finally, there's also quite a large skate park for the region. During Canada Day, a competition is held.

Canada day review 1-7-2022
It was a great day to gather with family and friends and enjoy all the activities and entertainment related to Canada day celebration.
Kids had good spots to play such as bouncy castle, trampoline and face painting with some nice magic tricks show. I hope next year they increase the activities as it was only one bouncy castle for thousands of kids.
Food stalls were “overpriced” maybe due to the crowd and celebration, and you had stand in a long line to make an order, food quality wasn’t good compared to what we had to pay.
Live entertainment band was amazing all the folks enjoyed it and was second to none.
Fireworks was really great and it deserves to wait till 10pm to watch it.
Overall experience we enjoyed spending the day there, and highly recommend to celebrate Next Canada day at Riverfront, if it will be held there.
The Capitol Theatre is a restored 1920s movie palace that now hosts live performances, such as concerts, dance shows and theatre productions. It offers an interesting variety of shows and has a beautiful interior with clean facilities including washrooms and a bar area. The theatre also provides guided tours every 15 minutes from the lobby where visitors can explore the Main Hall and behind-the-scenes spaces. Guests are pleasantly surprised with gifts such as Tim Bits, coffee, and snacks during their tour.
The Capitol theatre is such a classy place to see any type of show. I find that even if I am only moderately interested in an artist I always love their performance at the Capitol.
The volunteers are nice and helpful.

The theater itself is an older style inside but it's very well maintained and is in great condition. Sound quality of the show we saw was incredible, lighting was very good and overall it was a positive experience. However, the seats are small with little leg or elbow room which can make a couple hours seem quite long. Not a lot you can do about it but it would still be worth seeing a show here if you are trying to get to one.

Went for nikki payne stand up, it was an awesome show. The ushers were very eager to help anyone that looked even remotely lost. Only downside was it was a little cramped seating wise.
First hockey experience! It was so much fun! It was nice and warm inside the Centre and the staff was very helpful with directions and finding seats.
We heard a lot about the fries.. felt meh! But overall a great experience.

When going into a facility like this I normally notice cut corners and shoddy workmanship, but not the Avenir Centre! What a nice venue and we all had a great weekend - everything from the acoustics to the well laid out floor plan. I was impressed. I hope we have another convention here next year 😃

Went there for a Wild Cats game and the atmosphere was really nice. Nice arena and the tickets are really cheap around 20$ each. Even if you buy tickets all the way to the back you still have an excellent view of the action on the ice!

Went to Imagine Dragons concert at this venue. The concert itself was awesome - saw Imagine Dragons in Quebec City previously. The Videotron Center is far superior for views and atmosphere. We were in similar seats and the view was much further away. Staff were helpful, but the cues were not well organized. Sound for the opening act was poor, but much better for Imagine Dragons. Overall, it was a great experience and we were fortunate to see this band in Moncton. They put on the absolute best performance.

I visited several times to watch local ice hockey team matches. Very well organized facility. Food, Beverages and many other stalls available inside.
Wildcat, the Moncton ice hockey team home. 2023 junior ice hockey world Cup also held here. Lots of concerts year around.
My last visit was December 31. Surrounded by music, skates and food trucks. Nice to be out and being part of what people like to do.
Thanks for organizing new traditions.

I was here last night for city and colour with my 2 year old son. It was overall an amazing experience, the lady guarding the hall where we were sitting (I didn't get her name unfortunately) had taken my stroller and put it to the side for me. She had also noticed my son didn't want to wear his earmuffs so she brought over a pair of earplugs (that he also didn't wanna wear) but the thought was greatly appreciated. It was an amazing show and we will definitely be going again. Thank you for all your hard work.

It's always pretty clean here whenever we go. My husband and I enjoy watching Wildcats games so much. We have yet to get a shirt... But maybe someday! Can't wait to come back to watch more games. Hopefully other kinds of games too!

No seat is a bad seat here really. Always enjoy coming to events here. I am tall and leg room is enough but not generous. Seats are comfortable. Beverages are very expensive - but thats most arenas now!

This was a great place to watch a live concert. Not a bad seat in the house . Acoustics were great staff was super helpful and professional. Lots of vendors meaning less lines and happy people.

Beautiful venue for watching an event. My lovely wife Pat and I were fortunate to have been able to attend the Stars on Ice event that will be forevermore known as Kurt Browning's 2023 farewell tour.
Ticket handling, through Ticket Master, was a different issue but does not relate to this nights venue experience.
Parking was not an issue. We were here at 5:30 pm for the 7pm start. No parking places were to be found along the street (all taken), but within the block, there were plenty of parking spaces in the available parking lot. Tonight's parking cost us $10.
Once obtaining our back pass tickets (could only be picked up at this venue during the night of event) we went back up to line up at the outside doors.
Dressed for the chilly night, we had no problem standing in the open area. Would be nice to see the managers of this place to put in a covering to protect customers against rain and snow.
Doors were promptly opened at 6:30 pm. Ushered in the building, Pat and I made our way to the escalators and enjoyed the view as we were transported up the many steps. We noticed a few making the climb manually. Made for efficient entry. It should be noted that elevators were available for those needing one.
On our way to seating, we stopped for our dinner. I partook in a hotdog while Pat grabbed a pizza slice. Efficient pricing and handling. Nothing special, worth the price.
Finding our seats was not a problem. Everything clearly marked. Bathrooms were spacious, clean and, in the men's case, available.
During intermission, the woman's had quite a long line-up. I'd noticed the audience consisted of females to males of about 5:1, not that I minded.
Our seating allowed for perfect viewing. Sound carried well. Knowing ahead of time about the hard surface of stadium seating, we brought some padding for cushioned comfort. No regrets and recommend others do the same in future, should they desire.
We'd bought a backstage pass, and since Pat won the toss, she had the privilege of meeting this nights stars on ice.
It was well organized. Ice celebrities were seated at one long table while patrons went by single file for their meet and greet.
Pat enjoyed the banter and was privileged to obtain each of their autographs on the "official" tour program AND on various personal items. Pat brought the 4 bills I'd made up special representing each of the 4 main skaters. I was only sorry I hadn't completed one for each, but I know they are young, and I'll have the chance in the future.
Only bad comment, and it's relatively minor, it would have been more glamorous to have had better seating, tables and flooring for the celebrity meeting area. Looked a little like the basement area of a house rather than a glorious reception area.

Went to see monster spectacular with my boys today. This was our first time inside the Avenir Center and it was an awesome experience. Security, ticket scanner, ushers, drink kiosk workers and merchandise sellers were all super friendly and helpful. Great venue! Heading back there on the 30th for a comedy show with the wife and can't wait!

The Avenir center has its ups and downs. Beautiful spot. Lots of food counters. There are also lots of bathrooms.
Also there is not a bad seat in the house. I saw Kevin Hart, and Megadeth. Both shows were absolutely fantastic.
The only thing is the seats themselves. They are a little uncomfortable. My back was bugging me for a couple days after. I'd recommend bringing a cushion. I really wish I would have. Lol
The kids and us loved boardwalk. The mini putt was fun. They have cool small kids bumper cars. But they best part was the go karts.

It's a great place for little ones. It was not so fun for teenagers. The butterfly activity was OK but we only stayed there for 5 minutes. It was already full by people who had been there before us and who decided to stay there for hours. They kept all the butterflies on their fruit. So we couldn't take any butterflies, we couldn't even sit down for a few minutes. I saw a couple who brought their lunch...seriously? It was very expensive for 6 people and it took us, as I said, 5 minutes. This should be limited and should be done on a guided tour to allow everyone to have the same pleasure. We also did the hill...7$ for that scam. The rest of the "attractions" were ok for us but it's a far cry from La Ronde, Six Flags and Disney. When you visited these places, you will find a boring magnetic hill.

It seemed like a fun place, but unfortunately, we didn't have a great time. They use a coin system, and we ended up losing most of them while attempting various tasks. The baseball machines weren't functioning properly; it seemed they were under maintenance. The only highlight was the golf section. However, please note they have only one restroom, so be prepared to wait in line.

Our first time participating in the games/rides at this venue.
Came here as a family with my wife Pat, our daughter visiting from Ontario with her friends son, Leo. All of us had a wonderful time while here.
First time Leo experienced bumper boats plus, not far away, water balloon sling shooting. Also first time Leo experienced bumper car's in the open with only sky above.
Leo and I enjoyed an 18 hole game of mini-golf.
Gift shop drew Pat and Rachel in. Both came away with something.
Too close to closing time so we missed out on the butterfly pavilion. Overall, a memorable experience, especially for the young one.

We did: Butterfly world, go-kart, bumping cars, batting cage, excavator and air hockey and finish it with a good ice cream. The kids had so much fun. We were only supposed to go to the butterfly world, but we spent much more time there. The older ones had a lot of fun unfortunately, there were a lot of things that were not allowed for my four year old, as he was not tall enough (48-54 inches) The line-up was not that bad, there were very few people.

When I was here at the boardwalk as a child they didn't have the butterflies. Spending the entire afternoon here after going to the zoo quite literally across the road has been an absolutely amazing experience. I mean yes it is not the cheapest place in the world to visit but it is absolutely amazing and it's very fun. We went for a ride on the go-karts and then we did bumper boats as well as bumper cars. We even got to throw water balloons at each other and had some fun with mini golf
This place has changed a lot since I was here as a child and it is gotten even better. I mean yes the kids love the games and stuff but my daughter was absolutely in love with the butterflies. She didn't realize exactly what it would entail but it's been a long time since she's actually had that much fun and such a physically small space just doing something simple like holding a slice of orange. I mean she was so happy when she was able to catch a butterfly with a slice of Orange.

I think from a pure fun factor, this is a great place to spend a few hours. The stuff here works good and is a lot of fun. The only slight negative is the value - 8 tokens for a roughly 5 to 6 minute go cart turn feels like too much, at roughly $1 / token, it adds up if you're hoping to try everything, let alone try it twice. Again though, great rides, lots of fun and staff were very friendly.

Great time for the whole family as well as good covid setup. For 40$ you can hit up a couple go-kart rides for a couple people.
They have an amazing butterfly room. Just be warned that its not as much fun to see them on a really hot day.
Rides include:
Bumper Boats
Batting Cage
Water Balloon Wars
Go Karts (for single or double riders for Adult accompagnied children)
Paddle boats
Mini Golf
Small Arcade
Butterfly exhibit (extra fee)

Butterfly world in Moncton is just up the road from Casino New Brunswick and a part of the Magnetic Hill Boardwalk group of activities. We found it to be an interesting and informative way to spend about an hour and a half sitting and walking among the butterflies. Young staff caring for the butterflies were welcoming, eager to share how the exhibit works and all about the winged occupants. Butterfly pupae there come from from Costa Rica and hatch inside a cabinet standing in the centre of the geodesic dome. Visitors can watch the butterflies emerge from their pupae and flap their wings for the first time, drying them out in the warm air. This is a quiet, interesting place to visit for a reasonable fee.
I went to the Thomas Williams house for afternoon tea, scones and sweets. Good food, friendly staff and great service. A tour of the historical house is included.

Small historical building. The short visit can be paired with a stop by the tearoom. The offer is limited but they have vegan and gluten free cake. It is a nice place to take a rest while visiting Moncton.

My children and I have gone to the Thomas William House every year it has been open to the public. Now it's my grandchildren's turn and they really enjoy it and, of course, the Tearoom. Jane was our guide this year and she really made a connection with my grand-daughter who absorbed everything she said like a sponge. It was especially nice to see Emma again, who has always been a great tour guide. She and Jane have great patience with children (a virtue in my books).
PS. The new front walk is lovely.

The only downside is that there is only one shower so prepare yourself accordingly but great stay and definitely would recommend

It was our first time in this library as we just moved to Moncton. I can not say much about the rest of it, but the little kid's section was great! A lot of toys, funny chairs and of course books.
What I also loved and find very important - there is a separate washroom for that section. It has tiny toilet and sink so my 2 year old daughter could do everything by herself.
UPD
One year later I still think this place is great for many reasons. The last reason is that we discovered an opportunity to make our own pins. There are a few pin-makers on the second floor. You can either print your desired picture at home or right there at the library. There are 3 different sizes. They cost a little money to make, but it's really little (cents).

The library is a wonderful place. There's a large selection of books in both English and French, and you can also check online to request a book from another library in NB. They also have ebooks and audiobooks. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The library is clean and welcoming. There are lots of chairs, tables, and a handful of study rooms, which makes the library a great place to read, research, study, etc., in either a small group or as an individual. There is free wifi, access to computers, and the library organizes events such as conversation circles. It's also a great place to learn of other local activities and events, as many get posted on the various cork boards found throughout the library.

The library is exceptional, with a lovely combination of old and modern in the building design and plenty of activities for every age. The staff is always friendly, and if you want to practice your English, French or even Spanish, they have circles that you can assist in person and sometimes online. Spanish and French are on Wednesdays, and English on Tuesdays (Please check the Library Webpage). I have always enjoyed my time in the library, and they have a wide variety of books in English and French.

There’s a slim lady with glasses at the top floor, I didn’t see her the other times I’ve been there. She wasn’t nice and she had a habit of making snide remarks about everyone who asked a question or asked for assistance. She enjoyed too much of idle gossiping. I didn’t know the printer had printed two coloured pages and she asked me to pay separately for the coloured paper while I was about to do that the man beside her told me not to bother this time since it wasn’t deliberate. As I thanked him and looked a way, she asked him why he was being nice and I heard him say ‘because of his time as a manager somewhere, he has learned to be good to people’.

02 level of knowledge for everyone. Very friendly staff. Easy access for all the facilities available.
Kids area, study rooms, free internet and many more equipment available for use.
I always go through the notice board to see new activities. Lots of opportunities for language training.
Most of the days you will see art exhibitions by local artists and many more art on the exhibit permanently.
Printing and photocopy available for print.
Some cooking equipment is also here for you to rent without charge I think.

Not overly fond of the “pride” all over the library.I am not anti pride. My sister is queer. But the library is A place of learning and a place for children, there is no place for pride flags everywhere. At cash out I said to my kiddo let’s go give the lady our books so we can cash out, the Woman working the counter was dressed like a women, hair like one, voice like one, Rudely corrected me infront of my young child “PERSON” in a stern voice, while wearing a they/them button. Excuse me, it is not your job to force improper speech on my child or myself. A place of literature should be literate. A place for children should Be child friendly. Validation seeking has no place where children are to be kids.

As a family of four with two young boys, we love visiting our local Moncton Public Library.
First of all, the library is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Moncton, making it easily accessible by foot or car. Upon entering the library, we are greeted by friendly staff who are more than happy to assist us in finding what we are looking for.
The children's section of the library is particularly impressive. There are plenty of books, games, puzzles, and other interactive activities to keep our boys entertained for hours.
The library also offers a range of educational programs and events for children of all ages. It is clear that the library is committed to promoting literacy and learning among the youth in the community.
In addition to the children's section, the library offers a wide selection of books, magazines, DVDs, and other materials for adults. We are always able to find everything we look for. For the items we cannot find, the NB online system allows for us to order and we get notified as soon as it is available for collection.
Overall, we would highly recommend the Moncton Public Library to families with young children. It offers a safe and welcoming space for children to learn and play, and provides a valuable resource for all members of the community.

Didn't know quite what to expect, but it turned out to be fascinating! The museum bit is run by a secular group, while the church still functions as a church. Wasn't sure how that was all going to work, but it seems like it does. Goes into great depth about the Acadiens, but also the influence of church on state.
