The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre is a spacious facility that boasts multiple indoor pools, ice rinks, fitness rooms and classes. It serves as an excellent recreational hub for the community of Hamilton. Visitors can enjoy clean and well-organized surroundings with clear signage throughout the premises. Additionally, there is an interesting museum located on site for those who are interested in history or sports memorabilia. Overall, this sports complex offers a great opportunity for people of all ages to engage in various fitness activities and events.
First visit, this place is a great recreational centre, something Hamilton could use.My grandsons would have loved to use the pool and the walking track above the hockey rink on our visit but there was an event going on,

This is my favourite arena in all of SW Ontario. Love the Sports Hall of Fame, gives you something to do while waiting for kids to get dressed or undressed after a hockey game.

They offer lots of programming but they sell it extremely fast (especially swimming lessons). Even though this is a public place, if you try to take a photo of your child swimming to share with family, there's a lady that will run over and tell you to delete it. They have signs saying you can not take photos, but this is against your rights in Canada to not be able to do so in a public place.

Great big gym located in a massive complex and I like that there are hardly any people mid week, mid day. Lots of machines to try to improve your health or 'beef up' and everybody seems to be so quiet and polite, nothing like the awfully loud, entitled people screaming in their languages as I used to hear in central London, in UK. Nowadays, if you want civilised people you have to move away from the massive cities. Also, they have got a great offer for 10 passes, never expiring, especially when you get regularly sick for many months, what is not to love? Saving money.

This facility is amazing! All the staff are so friendly and helpful...we take a family member who uses a wheelchair swimming a couple times a week and the equipment including water wheelchairs and ramps into both pools are so helpful. There's also lifts available if you prefer. Showers are hot and facility is always very clean!

Wayne Gretzky is a great place to take your family swimming with multiple pools jacuzzi multiple diving boards rock wall climbing and a sauna you'll be sure to have a great time with your family. The only thing I do not like about this place is that there is no family swim on the weekend. The weekend is the one time I am available to take my kids swimming

This ice arena is outstanding! I was here for a tournament in the area and most of our games were hosted here.
The facility is absolutely stunning and massive. There is even a public pool in the sports complex. It’s the nicest arena I’ve ever been to and I’ve probably been to around 100.
I recommend making the visit here. It’s unreal.

Beer is a bit over priced for a captive audience, costs enough just to take kids let alone get robbed for a beer, and rink numbers should be 1 as u walk in and move up from there vs rink 2 other end where u walk in?? Seems silly to me

I love this center and have used it a lot for swimming with my kids. This review is being written while I'm super frustrated as I just packed 2 young kids in the car for swim lessons and arrived to a closed center due to snow. That's completely fine and I understand, however, I spent all morning checking the website and calling to see if they were cancelled. No one answered, nothing on the website (which is a terrible website). I finally hit the option on the phone for "alerts" and all it said was to check the website, which had nothing indicated on it for inclement weather. When I arrived, multiple people were getting back into their car with their kids because they also arrived for swim lessons. If you want to run programs, you need to have a system in place for cancellations, weather, etc. If you have a system in place, then maybe a more suitable person should be running it. Sorry for my rant, I'm annoyed.

I signed my infant son up for swimming lessons here. First, when signing up they don’t split up the lessons based on age well enough. There used to be parent and tot 1, 2, and 3-now it’s all combined from 4 months to 3 years. Second, half of the lesson was spent in the big pool that was way too cold for babies. It was almost too cold for me to be in the water. The kids in the class were fussy and my son was not enjoying it. If you’re offering lessons for infants this young you should ensure you’re following the pediatric standards as 82 degrees is not an ideal temperature for comfort or safety. The pool area was also extremely busy and loud so you cannot hear the instructor. The only reason I’m giving 1 star is because I was able to cancel and get a partial refund for the lessons. I switched to another facility where the infant lessons are done in a 91 degree pool, with a smaller age group, as it should be, and we are much happier.

Great facility! And why wouldn't it be? Rinks are clean and new, and not too cold to spectate. Food, drink, and sports concessions...even a hall of fame (of course)
Really great to play and watch here.

confusing method to register kids for classses: before the booking time opens, half capacities are already taken. confusing to say the least. also linked to city of brantford website which is very poorly supported IT wise.
Ore Alonso — Google review
Went for a swim this evening. Tried to check the swim times on the City’s website, which was not working. Called the front desk and got the swim times. Did laps. Went into the hot tub, was told the section was closed. Was no signage in the section to indicate this. Complained to front desk and headguard. There was zero indication anywhere that the section was closed (usually there is a “section closed” sign up) which is also a safety issue as people could enter a closed, non-lifeguarded section without knowing it’s closed. Communication at and about the pool needs to be improved. Not confident that anyone at the City will care as I understand there have been communication issues at the facility for quite some time. Change room floor also could be cleaned more thoroughly, dark grime that has clearly been there awhile under the benches.

This place NEEDS to make it clear when the 65m pool is closed during public swim. We called in advance to make sure it was open, drove up from Hamilton, and paid $7 for admission only to find 2/3rds of the facility was closed for an event. At LEAST give a discount when the full facility isn’t open. Safe to say we’ll stay in Hamilton next time we want to swim.

The swimming facilities are great!!!! I am recovering from an accident, this is the perfect place for rehabilitation. Walking exercises in pool, lap lanes available. The hydrotherapy pool maintained at a warm temperature in the 95 degree range with jets. Plenty of change rooms for access to different areas.

Great facility, rinks are good and bright. 2 stars because the public bathrooms are terrible. Consistently the floors in front of the urinals are wet and sticky and the sinks are just as bad. A quick mop and a wipe every couple hours would do the trick…
Doug Robertson — Google review
The facility, especially for a city the size of Brantford is amazing!! 4 ice pads, good sized lobby, bar with seating to watch main ice pad, upstairs with walking track and standing room for main ice pad, Source For Sports on site, good sized dressing rooms.....the ONLY thing holding it back from 5 stars are the benches. Most newer rinks have benches spaced to allow U8/U9 half ice to function normally, because they don't, U8/U9 half-ice boards force one team to stand beside the benches which makes it obviously difficult to coach through glass. For that age group, it's a huge deal.

Big facility. Coming soon. Put those electronic devices away and read a book. You will be able to borrow a book from the Brantford Public Library located across from the Hall of Fame. Another reason to get your library card.
The Bell Homestead National Historic Site is a historic home in which inventor Alexander Graham Bell first invented the telephone. The site features exhibits about Bell's life and his groundbreaking invention, which has since evolved into a computer in our pockets.
Amazing place! Would be a great experience for the kids to gain perspective of how life was in those years.

One of the must see spots in Brantford!!!
As a child in school, when I used to hear that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, I was always fascinated to learn more about him. This trip was the answer to my desire for that.
The Bell house has been maintained really well. There is a guided tour and it is advisable to book prior to going there, since they take only few people at a time. There is a small entrance fees, but I was able to visit free since I used canoo app.
The guided tour was one of the best tours I have ever attended. There is a small video show prior to the tour and also a souvenir shop. They also have a small cafe with a mini menu.
Now about the tour...
The tour starts with the explanation of the Bell family s story of migration from Scotland to Canada. They take through the house which has been maintained amazingly well. The art work of Bells mother is simply great.
The house gives you an insight of an upper middle class family back in the day. From the visitors room to kitchen to bedroom all have amazing stories to tell.
The equipments in the house are also fascination. They have olden day washing machine, stove, etc. They also explain the functioning of everything.
They also have set up in the nearby house in the compound with a small mini telephone exchange to see how the telephones worked back during the day.
We also bought a small olden telephone as a memory.
Truly worth the money and time.

This is a must see when going to Brantford. A visit to this museum ... the house where Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone is certainly worth the trip. How the telephone came to be is truly educational and fascinating. We also learned so much more about the man and his family. Sarah who gave us a tour of the place is amazing with the historical facts and did an excellent job. There is also a small gift shop to buy some souvenirs.

Unfortunately we visited during the weekend but still it is worth it though we saw it only from outside. It has a museum, Alexander Graham Bell's parents house from where he invented telephone and neighbor's house where fist telephone office in Canada was started.

The Bell Homestead National Historic Site is truly a gem that delves into the life, works, and inventions of Alexander Graham Bell. With an engaging and informative guided tour that transports you to the era of Bell's brilliant mind, this experience is both eye-opening and enlightening. The knowledgeable guides help to weave a captivating narrative that brings history to life. For history enthusiasts, and those keen to appreciate the finer details of Bell's remarkable accomplishments, the Bell Homestead visit is an unmissable and highly recommended opportunity.

Want to know more about the history of telephone development in Canada? This historic site is not to miss.
On our way to Paris, Ontario, we visited the Bell Homestead National Historic Site at Brantford, where Bell and his family lived. Here is where Bell invented the telephone a few years after Canada was formed.
If possible, spend time to join the tour, or if not, just enjoy walking leisurely in the garden and imagine yourself as Bell.
Later, we visited the city of Paris, and we found a plaque on Grand River Street N. telling this is a site where Bell received his first long-distance call from Brantford. Amazing!

This place is a must visit to those who love history. I loved every bit of my time spent here. While I was taking look at each invention of Sir Graham Bell, it took me back to thoughts of them old days when the world & technology was yet to evolve.
You will be able to take a guided tour inside Sir Bell’s house ($20), the guide will tell you every details of the items kept there & there also will be screen of a short documentary. There also a cafe next to the house where you can enjoy some great snack & coffee.
The grand River flows by the house, there are corn fields on the front. There’s a lot of love elements aswell like a swing, chair that Mr&Mrs Bell would spend.
The best time to visit this place will be summer or fall. A pre booking for a guided tour should be done as it’s timed & available at specific time of day with limited people.
It’s a good place to take children along coz it’s going to fascinate them more & show how far we’ve all come in this evolving technology.

I've gone there before ages ago and it was interesting. But the tour we took today was really informative. Jillian did her absolute best to answer our questions and made sure to include my 9 year old into the experience. The ticket prices are reasonable ($10 adult, less for seniors and kids). The tour took a bit over an hour, and it's limited to 8 people or less at a time, so it's a good feeling because you're not in a giant crowd.
Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant is a historical and contemporary art exhibition located on a 16-acre riverside estate that dates back to 1914. The gallery offers a wide range of displays throughout the year, including Christmas lights during the festive season. Visitors can enjoy exploring the grounds and taking photos with various exhibits while staff members are available to assist with capturing memorable moments. Additionally, those who prefer not to walk can drive through the display, which is equally stunning.
The lights were beautiful . I wish there was a way to make it better by adding a way to stay and walk around, grab hot cocoa. Something like the Gaslight District in Cambridge.,otherwise a nice display

If you don't want to walk around you can drive thru as well. It is a beautiful light display. We have walked through the ground in the summer and it is very beautiful then as well with the different flower beds that are planted throughout the grounds.

Based on the nature of this old building Ramps are in place outside but doorways and halls are very narrow. An elevator was seen but no staff was immediately available to help patrons use it. Two tight accessible parking spots located behind building plus larger parking lot further out, on the property. Current exhibit is very beautiful.

Beautiful park with an Art Gallery. They have parking on the side of the park and also an inner parking going around the art gallery and making a right at the roundabout.
Unfortunately, Art gallery was closed and they said that in one of the week they close it to bring more items to the exihibit. The staff was very nice and polite.
The back side of the park where the inner parking is located has trails and they are interconnected to the other trails. There were picnic benches too where families could enjoy precooked meals.

Loved spending the afternoon there (you can plan ahead and bring your own food and drinks as well as your dog too!). The tickets can be bought online to reduce the wait time at entrance.
When you arrive you can collect a map of the place. You can pick your own apples, saw families enjoying that. Such a sweet place with lots of fun sections for the kids. The tractor ride to the forest was fun, went over the troll bridge and luckily the trolls didn’t get us 😂
I would advise wearing a mask or having an item to cover the nose and mouth from the dust.

What a wonderful place. I've been visiting Brantwood Farms since I was small child. Had a wonderful time picking our own strawberries. With wonderful things to do each season. From picking your own fruit, husking fresh local corn, hay rides, sunflower fields, pumpkin patches, apple orchards and so much more. I have great memories of Brantwood Farms and continue to make new ones. If you want to make some lasting memories with your family this summer. You should get outside and Enjoy some Summer Fun at the Farm. Your kids will love the Farm play yard, it's open July 1, 2, 3, July 8,9 July 15,16. One of the best things about it is, your kids will be exhausted from all the outdoor activities you will have some time to at the end of the day to relax and enjoy some of there fresh baked goods and apple cider in peace. Check out there Facebook or Instagram page for more details on events.

What they've done with the place is amazing. I honestly don't believe I've been in there since it was the Capitol theater and watched the original Starwars. Staff was friendly and helpful. The concert by "The Irish Rovers" was amazing. Overall a great night. My only issue was the seating. Most of the seats were numbered on the arms which created an issue as to whose seat was whose. Some had a number on the seat itself which eliminated the problem altogether. If that issue could be addressed it would make the experience more user friendly

Went last night to see The Peking Acrobats. Sorry no photos during the show. But we sat front row orchestra left and we felt like we were in the show. Such a great theatre! Not too big. But has plenty of seating and room to stretch out. The show was incredible. So many gifted acrobats. Defying balance and flexibility! Lots of variety. If you can think of Chinese acrobats from television or a show, this is basically similar. Hoops being tossed and caught, super flexible woman balancing little glasses on her foot while she folds herself into different positions, a young man stacking multiple chairs to do hand stands on the top while his feet tickle the top of the stage curtains. Many acts to keep you interested for a solid 1 hour & 45 mins. Definitely a great night out for the whole family!! I have to say the theatre is very well kept for being 105 yrs old!! It was nice and clean. Bathrooms have definitely been updated. I would recommend this for a show if you don’t want to travel to Toronto!! We saw Blue Rodeo a few years back and had no complaints. Basically no bad seats. I would love to see the Metallica cover band in April! Save the gas, parking, and headache to travel to Toronto! 👍

And we especially want to express our appreciation to the service team of the Concert Hall for their kindness and attention to us. I can't believe I've waited so long to visit this place!! I took my son towards the end of summer as he's very into wartime vehicles. This place does not disappoint! As we arrived, we were greeted by a very sweet older gentleman whom you could tell was very informed and enthusiastic about the history of the place. All of the displays were very well presented with all sorts of very interesting historical facts. My son was really into the barracks that they have set up within the building. It adds a very realistic element in showcasing what soldiers actually experienced during their time of war.

I was amazed at how much history and artifacts were under this one roof. I had thought it was small, but Wow, there was so much there. I have attached some teaser pics that I texted to my husband from there, but this is a 'must-see' for history buffs. There is soooooo much to see and learn. Staff were very knowledgeable but let you go through at your leisure. There were also seats if you wanted to have a short break too.
Loads of room on each campsite. I was near the dam and while not waterfront, I could hear the water going over the dam all night.
Great for cycling and trails. Comfort stations were clean.

Our first time at this conservation area but will definitely not be our last.. You can purchase firewood and ice in the front office.. The sites are nice and have plenty of space.. Washrooms are kept clean except for spiders on the ceiling.. The pool was nice and there was plenty of space for a picnic.. You can purchase bracelets/day passes at the front office or lifeguard office just outside the pool area.. There is no place to buy food in the pool area, so bring your own.. You have in and out privileges, so you can come back if within the limit.. There are lots of shade and tables outside too.. Lots of playground on different sites, but there was one that was overgrown with weeds, so kind of a waste.. There was a movie playing on Saturday night near the bathrooms in the Maple Area.. I'm not sure about the other sites.. Dog friendly but must be leashed as per rules.. One of the nicer Conservation Areas we've been to..

The pool is great. Would be nice if there was more shade structures. We saw two of the three parks. The first was old but just fine for my 3 year old. The second park we saw was unusable as the grass around was a few feet high. Trails were nice. Easy to follow signs.

Good campsite. It had a large pool that could accommodate up to 800 people. Swim tubes not allowed in the pool. The rest rooms are not the cleanest and only a limited number of stalls: 3 toilets and 1 shower stall only. Office sells firewood and ice and open until 10 pm.

Outdoor Pool is nice. Decently kept and has some shaded areas for sitting. It is a pool that is shallow all around the outside and gradually goes to a deeper part. Although not a pool deep enough for diving. Great for little kids. And a decent splash pad.
You pay per person to enter the park and then another fee to go to the pool. So probably won't come here all the time. But it's lovely for once in a while.

Rating mostly the pool as have not camped there yet. The park is very well maintained and lots of place to go for a walk or sit by the river.
The pool is LARGE and clean. Very good swimming with 1.75 meters max depth. A lot of place to sit under trees or cover for shade. Only downside is NO FOOD FOR SALE, you are welcome to bring picnic. Come prepared as guppies get very hungry after a swim!

Brant was a bigger than expected park. The pool was very refreshing. You have to pay a check fee each day use. Be aware it’s open for public day use and fills up quickly on hot days. The full service site was nice and right across a treed area. There is also tubing run out of the park as well. Your only a 2 min drive to Tim Hortons and about a 15 min drive to the city.
The bathroom ms were clean and accessible. The pool area is accessible as well.
The down side you could hear loud plans flying over every morning, trains and traffic as well. They had a fun movie night for the kids. And there were good trails threw out the park.

Great place to camp close to the GTA. We're solar powered and love the big non electric sites and riding our bikes in the park. People with kids tend to camp near the beaches... so those at higher elevation and a view of the lake are quieter. Friendly helpful park staff

Excellent camping location, but the security officers were neither helpful nor responsible. We had a disagreement with the campers next to us who were breaking the regulations (they continued playing the music excessively loudly, and when we warned them, they reacted rudely and even tried to place the blame on us, etc.), but security did nothing. paid them no regard at all, as if they were mates with them. My buddies and I felt unfairly treated. The restrooms also weren't very clean.

I would recommend Al's for all your foot ware needs, their pricing, selection and service exceed expectation's. I shopped online stores for comparable products and pricing before going to Al's and they bet the online pricing which allowed me to get an extra pair of safety shoes for the same price I would have paid at other stores. The customer service was over the top, I had 4 people helping me, getting sizing or removing those style I eliminated. I felt no pressure, was not rushed at all. The staff are all happy, smiling and they exceeded my expectations. Even at the cash the ladies did a final check to ensure all sizes were matching and the correct product was in each box. The staff really do go above and beyond for you from the friendly greeting when you walk in to the final verification check at cash out. This store really has its stuff together and they are an example of true " customer service and sales " It's worth the drive to Al's for pricing, selection and service. Your whole team won me over. Thank you it was my pleasure to shop and spend my hard earned money at your business. Michelle

I often really struggle with finding new shoes & boots, but my experience with finding winter boots at this shoe store was much different. All the employees were so friendly. The one who ultimately ended up helping me was very attentive & had such a fun personality. She found me the perfect pair of winter boots & I'm looking forward to wearing them in the near future. It was worth the hour long drive to check out this store & I definitely want to come back the next time I need a new pair of shoes or boots. :)

Went in to buy a pair of casual walking shoes. Selection was almost overwhelming, but a staff member asked to help me, and she guided me to the perfect shoes for me. I ended up buying 2 pairs because she was so good All the staff were on point and friendly. A great experience.

The staff was fantastic!
I have an incredibly hard time finding any footwear that fits properly, especially steel toe work boots.
After going to various other businesses, some more than once, with no help from anyone and no luck on steel toes I went to Als.
The staff was all incredibly friendly and the willingness to help was beyond expectations.
It was short work finding a great fit that was comfortable.
The staff and Manager are very knowledgeable.
Will absolutely be returning! It was such a great experience all around.

HORRIBLE! if you want to feel uncomfortable by the employees then go here. I went to this store and was looking for new shoes. Upon looking, I heard two young female employees whispering and talking VERY poorly about the other employees working. I had kindly asked another employee what these two girls names were. Tara and Taylor. Horrible, unprofessional, and very bad representation for this company. They were bad mouthing other employees and talking down. This is bully behaviour and as a teacher I could not stand this behaviour. I felt so uncomfortable shopping I ended up leaving. If the owner can see this, please do something about the work ethics in this company.

Excellent shoe store!! Courtney helped us and she was amazing! We have searched high and low for a good supportive and comfort toddler shoe and this was the ONLY store in all of Brantford and Haldimand County to have toddler sizes that aren’t for looks, but really support the natural development of a young child’s foot.
The prices were excellent, staff were very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable and we couldn’t be more happy!
Our 1.5 yr old daughter is set for the summer!!
My husband and I will be back to get us some also :)
Thanks so much Al’s shoe factory :)

The employees here are exceptional. I was asked almost too many times if I needed help when I was in the store, but it was all from different employees. They were so kind and willing to help!
I found the pricing to be incredible on sometimes and more than retail pricing on others. There is a wide variety of options for sure! So much to look at! It could definitely use some better organization, but for a shoe warehouse it was pretty clean! Picked up a new par of shoes for my teen and insoles for the hubs. Will definitely be back when we have more time to look thoroughly.

Although the store didn’t have the size of the brand asked for, Taylor helped a young teen find the perfect pair within 15 mins. Knowledgeable about the different brands/styles/sizes in stock and kind service. Taylor deserves a bonus at least, if not a raise!

We've been customers of Al's for nearly 25 years. When I say we I mean my whole family including our grandchildren. We've always felt that it's important to have well made, good quality footwear, regardless of your age.
The bonus of Al's is that you not only get all the best international brands, Sperry, Merrell. Josef Seibel, Clarks etc. but you can buy them at prices you'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere else.
If you're looking for quality footwear at bargain prices, this should be your first stop!!!
Shoe shopping here is a great experience! We highly recommend it, and frequently do!

Woodland Cultural Centre is a cultural hub that has been operational since 1972. It boasts of three art galleries, a museum, and a library. The museum focuses on the relationship between indigenous people and white settlers in the area. Although it is small, it contains valuable information about indigenous history. However, some visitors may be disappointed by the limited information provided on residential schools.
A small but impactful museum that’s a must for anyone in the area.
My family and I visited the museum in the summer. We were pleasantly greeted and given some history from the staff at the gift shop. It’s easy to spend quite a while immersing yourself in each part of the exhibit. The residential school was under construction but they do offer a virtual tour. We purchased a few orange shirts from the gift shop which had items for both young and old.

I enjoyed my time learning and working there. I was responsible for the sand and refinish of the first 2 levels of the hardwood floors. I hope to see the final completion one day with my daughter. Me and another guy spent countless hours bringing those floors back to life, while attempting to maintain the integrity of the history. I am honoured to have been a part of this project to save the evidence.

The museum is small but contains good information about the indigenous and their relationship with the white people. I was expecting to find more information related to the residential schools, so. I was a little disappointed. The place made me think we can do way better to try to mitigate the terrible damage we have done to to them. There should be some link or at least information available on the activities available in the Six Nations community.

Very historic Mohawk Institute and a must to tour and learn about a very interesting but sad (dark) history of native children. Originally opened in 1828 as the Mechanics Institute for Native Six Nations boys and later in 1834 native girls were accepted. I encourage you to google Mohawk Institute History now...and read up...

Love this place. My 2nd visit and looking forward to more. There are few places that focus soley on Indigenous history in Ontario. The little we're taught in public schools are generalized titbits of history that seem to colour all Nations with the same brush when in fact each Nation across the country has it's own distinct cultures, customs and languages. I feel honoured and privileged to be able to learn more and more about Six Nations every time I visit.
My only critique of the museum is that some of the amazing exhibits are missing the context about what we're seeing.
Looking forward to my next visit!

I've only been to the Her Majesties Royal Chapel of the Mohawks twice. Once on a School Trip and later on when I lived in the City of Brantford...named after Chief Joseph Brant. It's very beautiful and unique inside, and the Stained Glass Windows tells the Story of its founding and the early life of the Iroquois Confederacy! A Mohawk Elder Lady did an excellent job on the tour of the Church...and further down the street nearby is a Reproduction of an early Iroquois Fortress at the Woodland Cultural Center. This Location is also near to the Alexander Graham Bell Homestead on Tutella Heights with the Telephone Museum and the first Brantford Telephone Exchange Office...make a Day of it!

The oldest church in Ontario and of significance both historically and culturally. One of the few royal chapels outside of the uk. The large free car park is conveniently located and is wheelchair accessible. The graves are well-maintained and obviously effort and care has been put into honouring the dead (who include the significant figures of Joseph Brant and his son). Built in 1785 and well-maintained.

Extremely disappointing. I brought my husband to see this beautiful church. I’ve been wanting him to see for some time now. Website says open, however the door was locked. A sign on the door said open 10 am - 3 pm.
One would think that this being a historical site, it would be open, especially on a weekend.
People managing the website need to be more up to date.

Could not get close as there is temporary fencing all around the church grounds.
Great history here. Joseph Brant who was instrumental in assisting the British in The War of 1812 is interred here.

The chapel itself seemed to be closed to the public, there were "private property" signs preventing from going right up to the property. There was no physical barricades, but I respected the signs and kept my distance. The grounds and the observation deck we're open around the trail and I look forward to walking the trail one day.
Elements Casino Brantford is a renowned gaming destination in Brantford, Ontario, Canada that features an extensive selection of table games, numerous slots machines and even boasts a poker room. The casino also offers dining options and live entertainment shows to its patrons. Although it may not be as large as Niagara casino, it still provides ample opportunities to have fun and try your luck with their coin-operated games.

No shortage of money here. Still many searching to find their fortunes here. Have not been here for a while. Lots of new flashy machines that promise to empty your pocket books but remember one thing, casinos were never built by winners. Just enjoy an evening out and spend no more than you can afford. The snack bar upstairs still has a few good treats. And if you choose a night out to the casino, may the God's of Fortune smile upon you.

The casino just lost two regular poker players because the security staff called Sherry at front was extremely rude and in a way racist,
We escalated the situation to the manager Jeff,
Jeff comes in and sherry just goes ahead and says something in his ear and he won’t listen to our side of the story,
We escalated this to Troy, and even he comes up and denies to listen to us,
The whole security staff colluded and cover up for what Sherry did and the whole staff was extremely rude,
We were denied entry even though we showed our IDs and should be legally allowed to enter.
We asked for the escalation and Mr. Troy acted as they own the Casino and said this is a private property and I can deny anyone I would like to,
I have never ever experienced this in any other Casino,
They just lost a regular poker player, I always came to this poker room because I thought the place was dying and wanted to support the poker room and the dealers and their employment but because of this security group, I am sure this place will be dead very soon,
Mr. Troy did not share the information of their supervisor to escalate this,
I would like to escalate this through social media,
Please help me escalate this.

Overall this is a nice small casino to visit if you're a local or live within a 30 - 40 min drive (beats dealing with traffic going to Niagara). Some positives are that it has a good mix of slots & table games (plus a poker room), free parking, complimentary pop/coffee beverage stations and clean bathrooms. Some negatives are that it can at times feel tight depending where you are, I don't think an expansion project should be out of the question in the future, would be nice to also see a bit nicer bar/lounge area as well.

Grungy! Smoking area is never kept up, outside heater has been broken for 4 years and not fixed, leaving everyone huddled in one corner. Understaffed, had to wait 25 minutes for someone to refill cash out paper in my machine. Have to leave machine to go to drink station, as no one works the floor. But at the same time, it's the only casino in the area if u like to gamble

I don't know much about the cards but the slots have become dead. I suggest going between Aug and Sept when they do their year end and are forced to give back in jackpots. I would never pay for food at the downstairs restaurant, just horrible, but upstairs has good food but hours are now ridiculous. I have watched attempted theft recently and just happened to me. A man twice my size yelling at me while he was trying to steal from my machine. I no longer feel safe there. Not enough staff left to watch for these things. The more new comers the less care there is here. They monitor your drinks as well. It's like a daycare not a night out. A group near me said they are sick of it and will stay at the other Elements. I'm done with it too! It's worth going to the states!

Before covid-19 my friends and I frequented Elements Casino in Branford
at least 2 times per month. Blackjack is our main game however we would dabble in other games too. Back then you would have 5 dollar tables for 1 to 3 hours then up them to 10 dollars and then 15 dollar tables. This was great as we would get an hours worth of entertainment before we dropped $300 to 500 dollars...now after covid-19 your minimum tables are $25.00
Therefore we could drop our $300 in 10 min...not much entertainment value here. So we don't drive out to Brantford anymore because of your
decision to only have 25 minimum poker tables. We drive 40 minutes
to go to Brantford. We are not asking you to change all your tables back
just a few and not every day just on some of your slower days like every Tuesday or Wednesday of the week. Something to consider.
However by upping your table rates to a minimum of $25.00 has really
saved us a lot of money over the past 3 years. We now play online but
we miss the real thing.
Have a great day !

The usual. They took and didn't give any. I don't enjoy going to the casino anymore. I take my stepmother she plays. I don't spend my money anymore because I never get any back to encourage me to keep playing. They have the machines locked down so tight that it's no fun to play. If the casinos would give to encourage the patrons to keep playing then they get their money back. And you would want to spend your $$. You go in with a few hundred dollars and within 1/2 hour it's gone. What fun is that? So I no longer spend money I just sit and watch who I bring. It's interesting to sit and see how much people pump into the machines and see how much. Ones out. Which isn't much.

Went Saturday at 4 pm, table was closed, was told they didn't have a dealer!!! This table is always open, This place is poorly managed, it's going downhill, they have lost 35% revenue, true fact. They have raised the prices of the tables and have cut the odds on blackjack from 3 to 2 to 6 to 5, they have added a roulette table with triple zeros now, ripping off the players big time. As soon as the manager Asteric, (or however you spell his name) comes in he does a round and then raises all the tables. Bottom line is Brantford is no longer for people who want to have a fun night out, very expensive and odds have been slashed. Please do yourself and everyone else a favour and don't go here, I have gone every week for 2 years and will never go back. Boycott Brantford, they are many other casinos that are for entertainment.

This casino has seen better days. A lot of the machines have some sort of patch job. If one of the machines won't print your money ticket, which has happened, good luck getting any help with getting your money. The machines are not only pricey, but they're quite tight. At least the complimentary fountain drinks were of really good quality.

Was not impressed by the rewards centre front desk female employee who was very rude and discriminating when I asked to sign up for a rewards card near end of her shift. She asked for a I.D so I handed her my Valid Canadian Passport which displays my maiden name (name at birth) she then requested a drivers license. I explained I do not drive. She questioned why I dont drive and demanded info on my disability for not being able to drive. She insisted on a 2nd piece of I.D, I asked why I need a 2nd I.D, to get a rewards card ?. She said because you don't have a driver's license. (fair enough ok) I handed her my valid photo Health Card which displays my married surname name., She became very rude stating I couldn't have a card because my I.D's were not valid and I didn't even know my own last name?. My husband fed-up at her rudness towards me told her if she didn't want to do her job, give it to someone else to do for her. She called her security/ supervisor who came rushing out to find out the problem. I explained several times both I.D's are Valid. The supervisor attempting to side with his rude employee said " you have to understand ma'am it's not legal to have I.D with 2 different surnames. Yes. Sir it is. A married women can assume her husbands name without legally changing it. My passport is a legal Government issued I.D , as is the health card which she shouldn't have even asked me for nor questioned my disability. I can cash a cheque with either surname. This argument could have been avoided if she was not trying so hard to avoid doing her job. Thanks to her supervisor she actually had to do some work. I have never received rude service from any other casino. We likely will not be coming back anytime soon.

We haven't been there in while and the changes made over the last few years are not for the better. Since it has become Elements the exitmemt is lacking. First off pit bosses put their friends on the list when they arrive. They will skip you for there own friends. Also dealers very bad. I had my cards behind the line I raised 60 with 100 chip. She gives me my 40 change and in the same motion grabs my cards to muck them. I reacted quick but she put one of my cards in the muck. Not only did the put boss say I loose my money in the pot and I don't get no chance to win the hand. The person beside me saw I had the winning hand and pit boss did not care. Worst part is after that I got thrown out and band because I wanted my money back. Also before this all happened I waited 3 hours to play had my chips in a rack while waiting and another person waiting stole 100 chip from my rack. When I told the pit boss he did not even believe mt until security looked at the footage. Saw the guy steal my chips and best part is they only asked him to leave. Me I got kicked out and band for being mad because the casino staff and pit boss robbed me of my hand. The place has no servers for drinks. If you get up to go buy a drink you lose your spot double blind. This place I'm my mind is the worst casino to play at. They rob you . Stay away. Stay away from this place. From staff to security the whole place sucks. Stay away they are all theives inside from players to staff. Don't go. Go anywhere else you will be treated like a person. Stay away from this casino if you like your money.
Bell City Brewing Company, located in northeastern Brantford near the Lynden Park Mall, is a craft brewery that offers a variety of beers paying tribute to great inventors like Alexander Graham Bell. The tap room provides a cozy atmosphere to enjoy pints or flights of beer along with tasty treats from their Beer Bistro menu. We visited here on a beer tour a couple of weeks ago. The beer itself was phenomenal, hence the four stars on the food. However, the food itself wasn’t the greatest, it was super simple nachos, pretzel bites, and samosas. The place itself was pretty dark and low-key on the inside, it looked more like a true industrial brewery than a restaurant. The servers are friendly, and overall we really enjoyed our time here, but it wasn’t a 5-star experience.

Bell City Brewery located at 51 Woodyatt Drive unit 9 in Brantford (across from the Lynden Mall) is a craft brewery I've finally tried today. Stopped in after work for a pint and a few light nibbles before heading home.
They have a good variety of beers on tap and have some canned to take home with you too. Menu is light with an intersting grilled cheese sandwich. A 10 " personal pizza with 1 topping of choice and a 10 piece pretzel bite platter served with 3 variety of mustard. I tried the pretzel bites, the sauces are Dijon, honey mustard and a hot sauce mixed with the honey mustard. The hot sauce one has a nice little zing to it. The bites are served warm on the platter with butter drizzled on them and salt sprinkled on top. I tried a full pint of the Grumpy Old Man (6.9%). It has a nice hint of whisky flavour from being aged in a Jack Daniels casks and a half pint of Raven's Heart (6%). I enjoyed both. Good amount of seating, some fun decore to check out and they even have live music on some nights with upcoming acts listed on chalkboard by the bar. They've got a patio area for when it's not too hot or cold. There's 3 Tv's to watch some sports while you enjoy your pint and nibbles.
I recommend coming here for a pint of goid beer, nice atmosphere and good simple nibbles to enjoy with your beer.

I love Bell City Brewing! They know so much about beer, plus they are so incredibly accommodating! Also their live music night is great- they have the best musicians playing! All in all, my favourite brewery in Brantford.

Crossroads Antique Market is a unique store where customers can leisurely explore and discover treasures reminiscent of nostalgic family gatherings. It offers a wide variety of merchandise at various price points, accommodating everyone's budget. The presence of multiple vendors ensures competitive pricing, making it an affordable shopping destination. Exploring the store thoroughly reveals hidden corridors leading to additional sections filled with remarkable finds.
Don't know how we have missed it before! Great place, a lot of interesting stuff, reasonable prices, friendly service. Happy to add it to the list of my favorite antiques.

First time here and was very impressed. The prices were great for antiques and collectables. The staff were nice as well, just handled the items purchasing a bit rough. It'll take time to walk through the place, so prepare to be there for a while.

Fiancé looks for early 90’s hockey cards and I search for Pokémon cards. This place had a good amount of both so it was exhilarating to see some Pokémon cards from EvolutionsXY and Dragon Majesty S&M.
Sadly, the Pokémon Card packs we grabbed were fake from booth VIP. Waste of $8.
Another booth were selling “replicas” of Pokémon cards so be careful.
Outside of that, this is a wonderful antique mall with lots of great stuff. Clean and friendly. Staff was wonderful and prompt as well.

A flea market with lots of interesting stuff, like trinkets, furniture, or collectibles if you have the time to spend here. Prices vary by vendor as do the inventory.
This flea market feels a little run down inside and it shows in parts of the store. The staff is friendly and the parking lot is plentiful but can be quite busy depending on day of week. There is no public washrooms here since the pandemic started.
Jana Melinda — Google review
I recently visited this old haunt again on a Saturday in December and couldn't help but notice how empty the store's foot traffic was. The number of visitors are on the decline but nothing in the store was on sale to try and incent potential buyers looking at the same old stuff they saw last time they stopped in. The same weekend I visited multi vendor market places in Freelton and Woodstock with sales in most every booth, crowded with shoppers and a line up at the check out counter. If you haven't gotten back to Crossroads in a long while don't fret because most everything is as it was. The owners and vendors of this museum need to check the reality of a declining audience base and adjust pricing and promotions accordingly.

Great antique store. One of the better ones around Southern ontario when you are stopping into Brantford.

awesome place to look around, always something for everyone. items change all the time so if you see something you like you better buy it because it may not be there tomorrow

Great place to find that hidden treasure. I found a wooden steam engine whistle, my wife found a cake cutting utensil.
Mr K Power — Google review
Overwhelming and amazing, this hidden gem is an amazing place to visit and dig for treasures. Be warned, this place isn't for the faint of heart: it's a totally full to the brim place with TENS OF THOUSANDS of difference things to check out.
Aaron Hobbs — Google review
This is one of these stores where you "browse".. It's a rainy afternoon escape (or a place to hide out in the winter when you find treasures that remind you of Sunday dinner at your grandparents). Time here, is always well spent.
The store is just loaded with product with a range of prices that caters to the size of anyone's wallet - due largely to multiple vendors which helps to keep pricing reasonable.
Make sure you see all the nooks and crannies (side corridors lead to whole other sections of great finds) and you won't be disappointed.
Nice little green space to visit with lots of seating to rest your tired feet. A great monument to give the town some character and thanks. Extra nice when the flowers and trees are in full bloom. ☺️

Nice little park!
Jie Tan — Google review
Very well maintained park with colourful summer flowers.
It's a small park in memory of Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of telephone in his home city, Brantford in Ontario.
4 km drive from the park across river Grand..visit the Bell homestead, the residence of the famous inventor.
Both this park and the residence will transport you close to nature.
Must visit both places if in Brantford and if you admire science and history.

This park is very close to my house, I walk there everyday. It is kept fairly clean and the statues are lovely.

Excellent piece of Canadian history. Well maintained and clean- not a piece of garbage or cigarette butt in sight

Overrated. Like its ok.. but it's a meager sized park.. and not like brantford isnt already robust with AGBell monuments. The monument again is.. ok.. but it's like brantfords 20th AGB monuments. Ok I get it. Ring ring.. hes blowing up my cell phone yadayada

Colton's Fun Farm offers a fantastic experience for children, with various enjoyable activities such as ball toss, corn maze, bean bag toss, and slide. The farm's Halloween decorations in the barn are astonishing and worth mentioning. Visitors express their intent to return due to the positive experiences they had at Colton's Fun Farm. This place is highly recommended for families with kids as it provides an excellent environment for them to have fun.
Amazing time with the family. So many different, fun activities. I couldn’t believe that we spent 2 hours there! There’s indoor and outdoor fun. Their pumpkins are amazing! Lots to choose from and good price. Will be coming back next year!
Laura Burns — Google review
Your farm has been my kids favourite place to visit every Fall for the past 3 years! We love that your Farm has space for the kids to run around and the bean pit is always a hit :) My older kids love trying to ring the "bell" with the pumpkin ball toss and they can't believe how tall the slide is. Thank you for much for taking the time to create all these activities for the kids, we love every second we are here!
Stefanie Bittcher — Google review
Then Corn Maze was alot of fun. Their pumpkins are perfect. We had no problem finding the perfect ones, and the price is right! Will definitely be going back their again!
Sarah L DenHollander — Google review
I probably wouldn’t have rated 1 star if the Facebook reviews and photos weren’t so intentionally misleading and deceptive. The photos they post are only of close up displays and specific angles, no wide angle shot of the sparse landscape/“pumpkin patch”.
Maybe they’re just having a tough season, but removing low rated reviews on their Facebook page leads me to feel like this has been a repeat issue.

It was alot of fun for the kids( 4yr olds) its not too spread out so easy on parents as well
Gary Davis — Google review
Fun for ages 6 and under. Relaxing for parents that like to sit and watch their kids play. Price is good for an afternoon. $10 per person. They do have a barn with some animals including some African geese. However, the animals are in small stalls with no access to outside or sunlight, or proper food. All fed corn, except Pigs, they had no food and were eating yellow straw. Pigs, geese, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese.

Great people great maze and awesome for kids. We've been going there for like 5 years now except 2020 lockdown. We'll definitely continue to go there every year. There pumpkins are always the best. Great prices.
Richard B. Stuart — Google review
Lovely little farm with age appropriate activities: Thomas train, corn pit, tractor tables and animal viewing, giant ball enclosure, wagon rides. Very welcoming, reasonably-priced family-run farm with the opportunity to pick your own pumpkin. We went early on an overcast day and enjoyed most of the activities on out own before it started to fill up. Be prepared for muddy fields if wet or raining. Will definitely return this year for more pumpkins.
Lynden Park Mall is an indoor shopping center that offers a variety of products such as clothing, shoes, cosmetics, and groceries. The mall has recently undergone some improvements and now includes an Old Navy store located in a convenient spot with ample parking available. World Gym is also present within the mall. It is well-maintained and kept clean throughout with tidy bathrooms. The mall management has taken extra precautions to ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety measures for the public's protection.
Attended first time, great little mall. Wonderful shops. Well decorated for Christmas. See Santa for that extra festive photo!

The the mall has made some improvements over the past two years. It's great that an Old Navy is in there and and it's located in a great spot. There is ample parking. It's nice to see the World Gym in there. It's kept very clean the bathrooms are usually very clean as well. And they are going out of their way to be covid compliant and protect the shopping public. I recommend Jimmy the Greek's restaurant in the food court.

Typical mall with everything you need. Go after work hours to avoid the crowds. There is a nice bubble tea place inside and I like that Continental is in there right now.

I really love an indoor mall. It's spacious, clean & has a good variety of stores. Like Food Basics, Shopper's Drug Mart, Dollarama, clothing & shoe stores, etc. The women's bathroom looked clean but smelled of urine!

Very good shopping experience but people working at cellphone zone didn't have masks on or face shield even when talking to customers.
How can mall let this people operate?

Great mall in Brantford with quite a few clothing options as well as some other specialty stores located on the exterior.
The recent Renovations/ Expansion have made this mall even better.

Ample parking …. It is a Nice mall in a great location. The store selection is definitely getting better. It’s a nice mall for a quick shop. Not sure you could really spend hours here though lol .

Lots of parking. Went on a Thursday around noon and the mall was surprisingly busy. Just a couple empty storefronts...not like other malls where half of the stores are empty. This one seemed quite vibrant. Lots of benches to sit on if needed. Food court was busy too but still room to sit and enjoy.
Mary Edwards — Google review
Very clean and I love the food court.
Good variety of stores and I have no problem finding everything I want and then some, haha. I love Winners, Ardene, Forever 21, H&M the most.

Hey guys this is information about vaccine at Brantford lynden Park mall. I had a appointment today. I uploaded photographs so you don't face any problems to find vaccine clinic. Just go to entrance 4 and clinic is just in the corner.

The ladies who work there are very helpful and are very friendly. I love my foaming hand soap and they have so many different scents. Nice to be able to smell the different ones and you can also try them as well.

The staff keep the place incredibly clean and security do their best to handle any trouble makers. A better variety of stores would easily net this mall a 5 star review.

Always love going here, it's currently under a bit of construction (Last time I went there, correct me if I'm wrong) But it was still a good mall, has lots of stores, and close to a grocery store. It's fun going there.

I like this little Mall.
There seems to be a little bit of everything for everyone, although I do wish there were a few more stores aimed at Teen's fashion interests. Maybe a Spencers or Hot Topic would thrive in this location... or even something like Urban Planet for teens (not just the kids store). But overall, a great little mall with a lot of potential.

Great place to go shopping with friends, I come here every time im in the brantford area, nice food court area, the staff are good at cleaning up the tables quickly. The bathrooms are sometimes clean, sometimes not. The trees inside the building add some nice vibes to the walking area.

First time here, pleasantly surprised at the variety of stores. Lots of big name stores Sportcheck, Marks, Winners and LCBO.
Had a decent food court from what I saw but I did not stay to eat.
Would like to come back at some point for a closer inspection of some of the other stores when time$ are better lol.

Nothing flashy

A few days before Christmas I stopped in to get my brother an I phone case at the phone case stand they have in the mall..I explained to the man that was working what phone my brother has and showed us a iPhone case that would fit his phone.. The case that he gave us was way too big for his phone and when I stopped in to exchange it they were extremely rude and refused to exchange it or even give me a refund..
It is such a nice museum. Entry is free but donations are welcomed.
It is a clean place with unique things to view. The staff were great as well.

Worth visiting! Wonderful permanent exhibits tell an intriguing and diverse story of our community’s history. The current featured exhibit focusing on the city’s Italian heritage was enlightening and very worthwhile. Highly recommend!

Excellent museum with a fantastic permanent display and very interesting non-permanent installations. They currently are featuring an exhibit about Italian immigration in the Brantford area.
Very very interesting you can tell that the museum is run by very dedicated staff and volunteers who care deeply about the regions history. They did a tremendous job honoring the contribution that Italians have made to the city.. keep up the fantastic work
