The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is a popular attraction in Sault Ste. Marie that offers visitors the chance to experience the fascinating history of bushplanes and aerial firefighting equipment. The museum showcases displays of historic planes, allowing flight enthusiasts of all ages to crawl into aircrafts, explore cockpits, and climb into cargo holds. In addition to its impressive exhibits, the museum also offers a flight simulator for an immersive experience.
Great museum, lots to see for both adults and kids. Unique and fun, nice gift shop too. Probably one of the better activities in town.

Nice little museum with old heritage De Havilland aircrafts like Otter, Beaver and other small airplanes. Water Bomber was the most exciting plane out of all. Kids had a lot of fun checking out the airplanes. You could hop onto some of the planes and check out the cockpit cabin so that was really exciting for kids. There was also a short 3D movie on the water bomber which kids really liked. There were simulator games for kids to fly the planes on screen. Overall it was a great experience!CL

Nice little museum that is full of great looking seaplanes, small aircraft, and a couple of old vehicles. Very interesting 20 min video of firefighting personnel and tankers.

It was so much more than I imagined! This is a must-see for anyone with so much history and amazing planes. The Wildfire show is stunning, and the gift shop has beautiful and unique items. We will go again for sure.

Today we visited this museum with family friends 🤗 wonderful experience! 💫 We paid entry fee $6 per person 💵 In World War II, these planes were crucial 🌍 lots of historical evidence, they recreate those days under one roof 🏛️ must-visit! Inside, there's a souvenir shop 🎁 beautiful US-Canada waterfront location 🌊 ample parking 🅿️ washrooms available 🚽 wheelchair accessible! ♿"

Actually going inside the planes was pretty cool. My boys loved it. My favourite activity was the insectarium. I could have stayed in there all day playing with the bugs.

I loved seeing the bush planes that I had only read about. The movie on forest fires was terrifying realistic and informative. I visited on a quiet day and had lots of time to climb into some of the planes and wander about.

I've been here twice, and loved it both times. They have a lovely collection of both common and rare planes that helped shape Canada. There is a very informative section on Forest Firefighting. The section is complemented by a number of aircraft used in those rolls. Early airlines also feature heavily at the museum. Both with artifacts and a number of aircraft. Another good section is early radios in Canada. They have a large number of scale models. The models are a little dated but well maintained and represent a large range of aircraft. The Museum also shares the space with an Entomology group called Entomica Insectarium. It's only a couple of dollars more but it is worth it to see some rare and unique critters. These critters included insects, frogs, tortoises/turtles, salt water and fresh water fish, lizards, and birds. Also located here is a trading area for fossils, insects feathers and the like. You bring stuff you've found and trade it with stuff in the museum collection. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Sault Ste Marie.

Absolutely fun place to visit with kiddos. The insect exhibit is nice.
The short documentary is amazingly well made too. Will totally recommend as a thing to do in SSM.

Great museum. Lots of interactive exhibits for the kids to learn about flight and planes. Real planes that you can climb in an experience. But the Insect area was my personal favorite. Staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and interested in engaging patrons. Will be back!

Stumbled upon this place while driving through town. The displays are very well presented with many accessible aircraft.
There are interactive things for kids to do as well. I’ve visited many aviation museums and this is one of the best I’ve visited.

Very interesting looking back in time at the early
Float planes. You can climb into some but watch your head. Then there is a very interesting movie about fighting forest fires. The aerial shots of the large forest fires is something else.

Very cool first thing was coming in the front accessible doors and they even can provide you with a Scooter but I already had mine . Than they talk to you about the museum tell you about the App then you carry on your way and check out all the great exhibits . Definitely check out inside of some of the planes they have screen to watch a video of the area . And the bush fire video that we didn't get to see (my bad ) lol .
But it's cool cause now we have to go back and check that out . The staff are very helpful and polite the gift shop is amazing .

Absolutely beautiful place. Reminds me of the heritage warplane museum in Hamilton. Anyway there was an event going on so it was a little busier than normal or so I'm told. Great event my kids loved it. Looking forward to visiting again.

I first noticed this museum while on the Soo Locks boat tour. So the next day I drove across the bridge into Canada to visit 🤠
Unusual setup here, there's more big aircraft brilliantly situated in this hanger then I've seen in any other museum. Excellent use of a small space with big airplanes✈️. And by big, how about a Fokker Tri-Motor, on floats!😱 It's a monster.😳.
There's a separate section in the back all about 🔥firefighting in Canada. This is especially relevant recently😷🫣. Visitors can walk up stairs to a recreated fire tower. There's a movie theater, with rocker🪑seats featuring a Documentary🎥 about firefighting in Canada. The 20 minute movie is very well done.🎟️ I can vouch for this having been in the movie business for 50 years😎.
This airplane museum is a hodgepodge of many things. It has rocks and minerals and shells and even another museum inside with insects. This is a very interesting and hands-on environment for children. There's a lot to learn.👨🏫
And back to the bush planes...
There are aircraft of several types in here, some on floats, some not. Some about different parts of history. Some unrelated to bushfly. Some you can actually go into 🤩 But watch your head.
As I said it is a hodgepodge of different things😬. Very unique nonetheless and definitely enjoyable to walk around and explore 👀 And there's plenty for children to do sort of like an exploratorium with hands-on☝🏻 challenges.
Cute little gift shop at the end.
In the summer time, the boardwalk is a beautiful place to walk, enjoy the breeze... The sunsets are unbelievable

I was crossing by and fell in love with the city. I slept one night in and the next Morning spent a big portion of it on the board walk all the way till it ends. It was clean and well-maintained. Parking is a breath and, most importanly, the view was special, relaxing and unobstructed by any objects. There was kind of museum ship by the boardwalk but was still closed for the season (May the 2nd).

Visited here from Toronto. The place is extremely peaceful and you can feel all the stress in your body leaving you. I loved this small town and the best part of the town is this board walk. Whether you are reading a book or people watching or picnicking, this place is perfect. There are plenty of chairs and trees and the grass is well maintained. There is lots of free parking along the boardwalk, but be careful when parking near malls or apartments. Definite must visit place in the Soo.

Beautiful city, the Boardwalk is very nice ans we enjoyed the view for a while, travelling to Banff, we found everything we needed 🙏
Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site, established in 1895, is a remarkable attraction comprising guided tours, hiking trails, bike rentals and seasonal boating. It is a significant historic site that showcases the functioning of lock systems and offers an opportunity for children to witness it firsthand. The trails cover natural waterways with some sections partially submerged even on dry days; however, visitors can cross over rocks to keep their feet dry. Depending on water levels, the entire loop may not be accessible.
Pretty cool place to get a good view of the boardwalk and St Mary's River. Plus you might get too see a big ship going through the locks

Loved the historical significance of this place, Beautiful and peaceful. I do wish the restrooms had been unlocked and regretted the Visitor Center wasn't open. To be fair, I did visit on a Sunday. The swing fan was fascinating, but had to Google the 1909 emergency event since the center was closed. 😂
A tour boat entered the lock and it was fascinating to see the mechanization in action. I also saw my first Loon swimming in the canal. So a very good day.
Barbara G — Google review
A National historic site, a very exciting place for kids to see how a lock system works.
You can walk across a lock to the other side and explore hiking trails that cover natural water ways. Some areas were partly covered by water even on a dry day. We managed to keep our feet dry by skipping over few rocks. Depending on water levels, the entire loop may not be possible. The shorter route making a left after entering the trails will get you to the closest observation deck, and the path was pretty dry.

Enjoyed this trip, would recommend! Narrated as you travel through the locks. Neat history of the area. Had fun sitting outside on the upper deck. Approximately two hours, well worth it!

Learning about the Soo canal was fascinating. The site is being renovated so lots of the old buildings are not in use yet but you can wander the grounds, walk around, enjoy a picnic, cross the lock and walk on the islands to see the rapids.

We had a great time walking the trail on the island, the beavers have certainly been busy building many dams on the local streams. Many singing birds too, lovely to hear them! We were also lucky to see 2 tour boats lowered in the locks. Nice to see the Canadian Locks, as a sailor I have been through the SOO Locks many times. Beautiful area!

There are a few gorgeous historical buildings in the area. The lock is still functional but for recreational use only. Unfortunately there was no traffic when we went (on two separate days), so didn't get the chance to see the lock gates moving.

Enjoyed a peaceful walki through Bellevue Park in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The gardens were in full bloom. Loved the vibrant colours resulting from a mixture perennials and annuals planted.
The admired the beautiful St. Mary’s River shoreline where the blooming naturalized gardens were humming with bumble bees and butterflies.

Loved the park, but unhappy with all the off lead dogs, or dogs on a leash but dragging it (and I'm not talking about top sail, I mean in the regular part of the park). I wish there was more enforcement re: the leash bylaw. I love dogs, I have one, and would appreciate being able to walk her safely in the park, which means not having to worry about off leash dogs approaching us, friendly or not, the dog is not under control and it scares my dog who has been attacked before.

Many fond memories of bringing our boys to Bellevue Park. Long gone are the big slide, Buffalo area, a climb on the train engine, the zoo area, and the boat on Topsail Island. But leaving the past behind, we had a wonderful walk about. Visited the greenhouse, checked the new playground area, and walked around the island. There is much more grass area for family fun. Huge picnic shelter and sizable washrooms. Great going SSM.

Splash pad and good playground equipment for kids. Clean maintained washrooms. Lots and lots of picnic tables and benches all over the park. Beautiful greenhouse on site you can visit. Lots of staff maintain the park wonderfully, grass is well trimmed and not a lot of garbage all over the place. The sailing club and Topsail island are accessible from the same parking lot. Topsail island is a great place for a walk to view the water. Bellevue also connect to the Pine St Marina by a really nice walking trail.

Superb place in summer for everyone
People do exercise and also jogging and walking
Amazing place for kids to play.
Good spots for people who are looking for a peace time and want to be alone or with their loved once.
Cool breeze from the river and a lot of water activity going on near by.
Just if you are new be careful of Canadian goose. They are mostly in their own space but if they feel threatened they will chase you.
Also the small play area for kids and a small place dedicated to water activities for kids
The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site is a fascinating attraction that showcases two 19th century stone homes and an interpretive center. The site is steeped in history and offers a fun, educational experience for visitors of all ages. Knowledgeable guides provide informative tours and the museum exhibits feature interesting artifacts. Visitors can explore the inside of the houses and learn about their unique stories. The site also offers entertaining educational movies, making it a must-visit destination in Sault Ste. Marie.
Very informative and great little museum! The combination of the history, the gardens, and the buildings was fun to walk through and investigate.
Jennifer Duster — Google review
My visit to the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site left me with conflicting emotions. On one hand, the staff at the museum were incredibly welcoming and kind-hearted, making our experience enjoyable in that aspect. However, as a young adult university student, I found that the museum's content didn't quite resonate with our age group.
It became evident that the site's primary focus was geared towards children, leaving us feeling somewhat disconnected from the exhibits and narratives presented. While this may be suitable for families with young children, it didn't quite align with the expectations of our group.
Furthermore, I couldn't shake the feeling that the site portrayed a somewhat colonialist perspective. There seemed to be a lack of acknowledgment regarding the colonialistic impact of Ermatinger on the indigenous community. Terms such as "trading with indigenous people" were used, which, in my opinion, glossed over the harsh realities of colonization and exploitation.
I believe there's room for improvement in providing a more balanced and inclusive portrayal of history, one that doesn't shy away from acknowledging the darker aspects of colonialism and its impact on indigenous communities. While the site has its merits, it falls short in addressing these important issues adequately.

Great little spot. No entrace fee. We went on the weekend and it seemed pretty busy. I'd go earlier in the day if possible. Everyone was friendly and gave right away to the many bike riders on the trails that day. Swings and a teeter-tottering were available not far from the parking lot. Washrooms and garbage facilities were available. Also connects to the Hiawatha Highland trails up the road. Beautiful spot for photos.

For a first timer to the park the map wasn't very helpful.
The signage wasn't very helpful. I expected the parking lot in front of the lake to be on the map. I expected there to be trail markers at each junction. Most of the time it was a guess at which way to go. Eventually, i relied on my phone's GPS. Went with two little kids and the mosquito swarms were overwhelming. Never found the waterfalls.

We were in Salut Ste Marie for just one day and looking for something to fill a few hours. We had our three children under 6 with us so needed something not too challenging, and Kinsmen Park was PERFECT. There were enough trails for us to explore without too much difficulty and the platforms at the Crystal Falls waterfall were really cool. On the other side of the park there is a dam and another waterfall - both had impressive views. There are swings and see saws for the kids as well, and more trails for more experienced hikers.
One thing to note, the first half of the road road leading into the park is dirt and not well maintained, so take caution when driving. But I would still recommend this place to anybody.

The falls are beautiful. There is a boardwalk for easy access to 3 different viewing platforms. You also have the option to climb further up to a bridge connecting to the voyager trail.
There is a large assortment of hiking and cycling trails as well as nordic ski trails and snowshoeing trails in the winter months with occasional signage to help you chart your course and not get lost.
There is a nice assortment of flora in the area making for picturesque walking.
There is a pond held up by a damage with another smaller beaver pond separated by a walking trail
There are several playgrounds for the kids including swings, slides and teeter-totters.

Beautiful place with lots of trails to choose. A small kid playground by the lake too. A short walk to Crystal Fall which is very pleasant. Looks like a popular place for locals. We didn't take the longer trail, only took a short walk up the fall and that section was well marked.
Driveway to the parking has some big holes and signage wasn't clear that there is a parking lot further down. Reason for 1 star reduction.

No tables at this location. If you like playing slot machines then you'll be in the right place. Complementary pop and coffee and water given out. That was a nice touch except for when I went to go out for a cigarette I was not allowed to bring my coffee with me to the smoking section. Oh no I won't be going back anytime soon but I'm hoping the new casino will have a lot better layout entertainment and games.

Small casino... They have 3 blackjack tables. Only 1 of which is usually open. Also. I got told not to swear months ago and so I didn't swear anymore. And they gave me a 1 month ban 3 months later. Every other player swears and the dealers even swear all the time.... Does that make sense?
Don't come to the Sault if you want to gamble at Gateway.. Terrible management. I didn't even say 1 word and they gave me another ban; this time a 3 month ban. They provided me no reason. I didn't tip at all at first because I was still learning the game. I tip my 10% now. It's not good enough for them; so they gave me a 3 month ban.

It was a pleasant night out decent machines the only issue I had was the food..... Now I'm not a picky eater by any means but this food was definitely not worth the money I paid for it. The first dish was an appetizer which was the lobster/crab dip with pita bread.. that was decent in taste however it was very very thick. The next dish was the seafood pasta. It tasted very bland, the noodles were ok, the seafood itself was very mushy, nothing tasted quite right even with the added salt and pepper. The garlic knot that came with it also had a similar seafood taste to it. Just not pleasant tasting. Will try something else.

Me and my mother dined at this fine restaurant last evening and the food was fabulous. We started off with the bacon, potato soup and it was so delishous and flavourful and then we had the steak with coconut shrimp and green beans and they were cooked really well and the shrimp had a sweet taste to them and the steak just melted in our mouths. We finished off our meal with pie. I had apple pie and icecream, which I really enjoyed . Our waitress was very personable and accommodating as well. We really had a wonderful meal and highly recommend this restaurant. I will be sure and tell all my friends.

Wanted to play table games so that I can secure a chip to add to my collection, since their poker poker room was not available. Walked in Monday evening and all table games were closed. So I approached the cage to change a Loonie for a $1.00 chip. I was told that table games are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and that they don't have any chips available.
I made notice of two trays of chips on the counter behind the clerk, in clear view, which also had $1.00 chips racked in them. He claimed that those chips were accounted for and he cannot touch them. I asked to speak to a manager, who stated the exact same thing, cannot touch those chips.
Fine.
But the manager then immediately told me to come back in a couple of hours and we may have chips available.
How is this possible if all table games are closed Mondays and Tuesdays?
I had already accepted their policy after the manager repeated what the clerk said earlier, but please don't lie to me that chips will magically appear in a couple of hours, when all table games are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Just tell me to come back Wednesday.
I go home tomorrow morning, never returning back to this pathetic casino.

I don't usually go to the casino very much. A friend was up visiting us for the weekend to go do a little bit of fishing... We spent every waking hour from Friday after work fishing till Sunday... We ended up going to the casino Sunday evening for a few hours. Wendy was our dealer. She did an amazing job of making the table fun and inviting. We walked away with double the money we came in with. The place seems to be a lot smaller than the last time I visited the casino... It was a great time to be had for sure... It was a great ending to fun weekend.
Awesome game and experience!
Got to shoot the puck from centre ice but missed it!!

Venue was easy to navigate, wash rooms are ample and clean. Concourse is plenty wide. Seats are adequate for purpose used for.

I attended the Greyhounds game on 30 Dec 23.
It was unfortunate that after a lengthy wait in the concession line I was informed there was no popcorn being made after they finished serving during the first period. I made an attempt to attend other concessions to be informed the same thing. No attempts to make more were offered.
For a family venue with the high expectation of serving families, its disappointing that the alcohol was fully stocked and served.

Nice clean place to visit but way too small for events such as monster truck shows
What a cool venue!! The beer was pretty good and the location and setting cant be beat. The pretzel was good and the staff is amazing. Highly recommend.

So this one time I accidentally dined and dashed. Long story but, I called them as soon as I got home super apologetic so they put the one beer on a tab for me. I go in the next day to pay off the tab and you never guess what happened. They sold me more beer! I made sure I was all settled up this time. Best beers in town. Don't forget to pay, they deserve it.

Nice patio and great selection of locally brewed beer. Anvil is not to be missed. The option to get a flight of four different beers is nice, I took a relative from our of town here recently and he was glad to be able to try (and enjoy!) a number of Outspoken beers.

Big fan of this brewery, the first one just over the border. Only two beers on tap during my visit but they were both excellent and the service and character of the place is awesome.

Best brewery hands down. There staff have always been phenomenal. Service is spot on. The patio is gorgeous with the massive trees providing shade. They are always coming up with fab beers to drink. This place is absolutely awesome. Highly recommend.

The beers I sampled were DELICIOUS and the service was fantastic. Friendly from the word go. I highly recommend a stop in of you're a fan of craft beer and try the Anvil red. They are only receiving 4 stars rather than 5 because their T Shirts only go to XL. I normally by a T from every brewery I hit up (yes, I have a lot) but a pandemic and beer has meant this girl needs larger than an XL lol.

I am absolutely sadden to report that I went to Outspoken at 9pm on Friday and it was closed even tho the sign said open till 11. it was my friends birthdays and we could not celebrate with our delicious pumpkin pie. that is all they wanted to do and we could not even have a joyous time. we traveled far to come to this location and I am heartbroken over this ordeal. please do better. sincerely, the pumpkin crew

Great atmosphere, good size food and drink menu without being overwhelming. Love the drink parting in the menu. We were offered samples to help make our decision of on tap beers. They have a great retail section of their drinks and memorabilia. The staff were very friendly welcoming and considerate!

Unresponsive owners: did not reply to 2 phone calls / an email / AND an in person visit to employees in regards to booking an event. Was told they would definitely get back to me soon by a lovely employee but have not heard from them. Booked elsewhere.

A fantastic place to down a fresh brew on a deck with a canopy of leaves. Small but perfect menu to satisfy those hunger growls - the shabby club pairs well with the Pilsner.
Farmer Bob was a great host. We got there a bit early, he took the time to come out and talk to us. He had a bit of an unfortunate incident happen the night before. It may not be for everyone if you are expecting a big petting zoo. You could definitely tell he is a family man and his farm means everything to him. Hie enjoyment is seeing people come to his farm.

It's cute but spendy for what you get. Good photo ops and fun farm critters running around. The corn maze is open in October we did not do that however.

The kids love visiting the animals, running through the yards having fun walking around the beautiful farmland taking it all in. I absolutely adore the corn maze especially before Halloween lol. But the kids love the haunted maze as well. Its one place where theyre able to see animals up close that are taken care of and are able to be one with nature. Hoping to book my daughter's birthday here for a sleigh ride.

Always fun for the kids! Goats, chickens, sheep, horses, and all the farm fun they come with. Bring quarters for goat/chicken feed, and change for pumpkins. Corn maze is great for older children aswell. A+ we go at least once a year.

Beautiful area but, i had my 7 yr olds bday party specifically because of the horse drawn hay ride; however when we arrived we were told it was a tractor ride. Had also rented the log cabin but we were moved to the church without discussion. No staff was around to show us all the farm had to offer. Random people just came into the church to take family photos and warm up by the woodstove with no thought that they were interrupting a birthday party. I would think that if I'm paying for that building, it's for my use only, for 2 hrs. I was disappointed and my daughter was upset about not getting the horse ride she was looking forward to. Not worth the $240.00

This beach is gorgeous: we visited to take family photos at 6pm in August, so not quite sunset. The sandy beach and small round stones at the shore were a highlight for our 1.5, 6, 10 year olds and two dogs.
Nice short trail, good view of weather coming over Lake Superior

Roads closed towards end but if you park there (where the signs say no trespassing) and follow the yellow then blue markers- it ends up only being .5km there and back. Super little effort for a beautiful view. FYI, road is rough but my little car made it so just take your time!

Must be awesome - if reached. I got lost in the woods after a long dirt road. As many others have said, it's an unmanaged road full of holes, and private property, too. I tried the other way from ON 550 but the trials were absolutely the same and I couldn't risk to get lost. So either you go with a local, or get a good map of the area.

Love the trails here at Gros cap. Can be difficult to find at first, but with persistence, you will see a trail that leads to other trails. One of the trails takes you to a secluded beach area. It is very rocky, but still worth the hike to get there. Beautiful, pristine water, quite cool, but very refreshing on a hot day.
Can get very windy here, but on a hot day it's great to hit the trails along the beach line.

This is a great trail, but an important access to the south has been disconnected by a land owner ... who has chosen not to allow access. The property is currently for sale, so maybe the new owners will be more open to their community of trail folk. I haven't hiked or ran the north segment yet.
The Sault Ste. Marie Museum, located in a former post office, showcases local history through interactive exhibits and artifacts. The museum also hosts special events, such as music nights, and features a gift shop with vintage buttons and free art kits. While currently undergoing renovations, the staff remains friendly and informative. Though the collection may be minimal, it still provides an educational experience with a children's play space available. Visitors can easily spend an entire day exploring the exhibits and learning about the area's history.

The museum has really evolved over the years and I love the way that they're approaching a living museum. The price is a little higher than many of the Northern Ontario museums, but I don't mind considering the role they've taken in the community as far as hosting events and partnering with local artists and organizations
It had bridges where you could see breathtaking terrain. Trails well groomed for walking, jogging, biking. People respectful. Made me appreciate the beauty of nature. Less crowded at 8 pm although one has to be cautious of bears. Snacked on some berries

This hub trail circles Sault Ste Marie. Each section is different for various reasons. This is the Fort Creek section that takes you over ravines and small bridges and I think the most scenic.
MichaelChi — Google review
In All of our travels doing the Superior Circle tour in Canada, the very worst experience we had was the John Rowswell Hub trail loop thru Sault St. Marie, Ontario. (Not talking about the nature trail part at Fort Creek, but the bike trial...I mean "trail")
Only 15% of this was picturesque. The rest points to the urban renewal needed in this town. Every major turn you need to follow is unmarked. We got lost 12 times due to lack of markings. Even the Ontario Tourist Information office had no map for it. The maps online are just grainy pictures.
It ruined our day.

Great Trail! Very well taken care of! The only downside is that there isn't a small loop, so you just have to turn around and walk back.

The Art Gallery of Algoma features both permanent and rotating exhibitions, as well as a diverse range of educational programs. While the experience may be brief, visitors can still enjoy an excellent selection of paintings and contribute to a worthy cause through their admission fees. The gallery regularly updates its exhibits, ensuring there is always something new to discover for art enthusiasts.
We are members of the art gallery and love visiting new exhibitions. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The gallery itself is clean and bright.

Very interesting art gallery some stuff looks like childish but actually I had a blast with some serious artist exposing here. Very well done 7 dollar entrance is to much do not incentive people to come in is expensive for the short show room and if you're selling art and not exposing the entrance should be free. My opinion

We happened upon the Algoma Gallery and sculpture garden by chance when stopping by the waterfront park in Sault Ste. Marie. Admission is just $7/adults, $5/student-senior, and free/children 12&under so we went in. Luckily there were 2 very interesting current exhibitions; a stunning and informative photography exhibit by Roberta Bondar on 3 migratory bird species facing challenges, and newly donated paIntings by Group of Seven member Franklin Carmichael. The gallery is small and has a great gift shop- can be visited in under an hour. Not to be missed.

Small, limited information. A function was taking place in the afternoon and shut down most exhibits without notice. That was very disappointing

Entrance ticket was $7, friendly staff but very small collection. They got 3 sections, one with the Group of Seven, one with a local native artist and one exhibition that was on loan from Ottawa Art Gallery.
There were about 20 small paintings from the Group right at the entrance and about 10 paintings from the local native artist. The whole place would take 10 mins to finish.

Tour inside Norgoma seems like traveling back in time. It is a self guided tour and don't forget to play the audio explanation in each station. This ship is maintained by volunteers and there are areas for improvement such as better signs or some fix-up. But still it is enjoyable moment.

Fairly interesting self-guided museum, but the teenagers running the front acted like they were having a house party (a tame house party but hey, it's a place of business, folks - turn down the music and regale your friends with your wild exploits when you get home). If you have a spider phobia, you may want to give it a miss - quite a few of them on the upper decks - one rather large fellow, let's call him "Harry", gave us quite a start as we passed by. Lots of interesting information aboard, however, and several recordings to listen to.
