The Ohio Statehouse is the home of the state government in Ohio and features historical art and self-guided audio tours. It was built in 1861 in a Greek Revival style and is one of the most popular attractions in Columbus. The ground floor houses the Ohio Statehouse Museum, which features exhibits on state government process as well as paintings of all 50 US states.
Nice place.. I would consider this as the heart of columbus city. I also loved strolling around this magnificent architecture. Surely picture with a lowly mobile phone cannot do justice. Highly recommended anyway.

Very cool experience! It is fun to see all the stuff about Ohio's past, and everything about the Statehouse's past. The rotunda was really pretty, and the Great Seal of Ohio at the top was an amazing site. I hope to come here again sometime soon!

We had the opportunity/honor to visit the Ohio State Capitol in APR_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience, a great opportunity to learn more about Ohio's history and legacy.
We did a plant tour and for sure it's a remarkable building.
Definitely, it's a place that deserves my respect. It was a privilege.

Ohio has a great Statehouse, beautiful architecture, great spaces, and is both visitor friendly and a great place to work for those who participate in Ohio's government.

Wow! This place is amazing. I can't believe I've waited til I was so old to actually take a tour of our Ohio Statehouse. It's definitely a design all to itself. The map room was really cool to see. But just the immaculate beauty of the columns, marble, fixtures, and even the restrooms was interesting to see. We got there just a little bit late, but was able to join the group with Cathy (I believe) being the tour guide. She was inviting and was able to answer most questions. And being a volunteer to be a guide was profound noble deed.

Great tour!! It was much more interesting than I thought it would be. The kids loved it. Carole the guide was great!!
Back with another set of Grandkids! Boy is it a different experience depending on who you get as a tour guide. The kids still had fun though.

The Ohio state house is a great place to visit. I recommend it to you if you want to learn about Ohio history or just want to see a beauty full place over all. A couple of facts I learned myself are there were 8 total United States presidents that were born from Ohio also I never knew that each state house got a copy of the library bell. The tour guide was very nice and gave lots of facts and she knew the place very well. The outside is also gorgeous it is a nice place to walk around when waiting for the tour to start, there are war letters you can read outside when you wait as well. I had a great time it is definitely worth a try if you are looking to do something.

Working across from the State House it's always exciting to see everything going on. I've been on multiple tours throughout the years but recently we got to tour it with a bunch of Middle School kiddos. The guide was phenomenal, took time to answer all of the kids questions, and was incredibly knowledgeable. You could see his passion shine through. This is the people's house and everyone should take time for one of the multiple opportunities to visit.

Definitely put this on your "places to visit" list. Built with the Greek Revival style architecture and completed in 1861, the Ohio capital remains one of the oldest state capitol buildings still in use today. It is approximately 151 ft. tall at it's highest point.

Beautiful state house. I didn't go inside, but the grounds were lovely.

Beautiful, historic Statehouse building which houses the Ohio State House of Representatives and Senate chambers, the Ohio Governor’s office, and other offices. They have both guided tours every hour and self-guided tour (there is a informational brochure for self-guided tour). The rotunda is beautiful! And you can also peek in both chambers. There is an underground (paid) parking garage.

Fun to explore when you have a couple hours one day. I went an hour before it was closing on a Sunday so I had most of the place to myself. Some hallways and staircases were closed due to renovations, but there were still beautiful rooms to visit and paintings to admire. In the main rotunda, there are huge, magnificent paintings of scenes from the War of 1812. The basement offers a unique museum and gift shop as well. You truly can get lost walk around the giant building.

Absolutely amazing experience, I would suggest the tour if you've never been. Definitely an Ohio must see, especially for any history buff or just a fan of the state.

The door only one side is open. The other 3 doors are closed. The guided tour was very informative about the history of the Statehouse

Hourly tours given at the top of the hour, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Enter off 3rd Street at the Annex Entrance. Meet in the hallway outside the Gift Shop.
Museum and exhibits on the same level.
This is a public building, and you are free to wander. Private offices or restricted access areas are clearly marked.

Very cool experience taking the tour. It is fun to see all the stuff about Ohio's past and everything about the Statehouse's past. The rotunda was really pretty, the flag and all three giant paintings are beautiful. The Great Seal of Ohio at the top was an amazing site. I hope to come here again sometime soon! We were unable to visit outside because of the rain. We did get to experience the alarms going off and getting locked down. The kids enjoyed looking for fossils in the floor and walls.

The Tour with Patricia was fascinating. She had a lot of knowledge and she was very welcoming. We had a wonderful time, thank you so much.
The tour lasted about 60 minutes, tours start every hour from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. There is also a museum to visit, both were free of charge.
Huntington Park is a baseball stadium located in Columbus, Ohio. It is the home field of the Columbus Clippers, a minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The ballpark was built in 2009 and has a capacity of 10,000. The stadium features bars, concession stands, a picnic area and kids' club incentives.
10 hot dogs, 1 pretzel w/cheese, a LG beer and a bottled water for $22.50!
Gotta love home opener, 69 degrees, Dime-A-Dog night and a Clippers 5-0 victory!
Parking was 6 bucks just steps from home plate stadium entrance in Buggy Works lot.
Sec 16, Row 7, Seats 1 & 2 are great for $18 a piece!

Clean baseball park! A great way to relax on the weekend with great food vendors, beer on tap and a lively crowd. Tickets are great prices for watching Triple A baseball. No bad seats in the stadium and a nice view of downtown.

Great game. It's always a blast to have such a nice park.
I do, however, have my reservations about the net all the way around all sides.
Catching a ball is one of the most exciting parts of a childhood memory of a baseball game, and that significantly impacts that possibility.

We had an amazing time at Huntington Park. Staff was very helpful and friendly, food was good and decently priced, seats were phenomenal, the ballpark was very clean as well. A Columbus Clippers Game is truly a must while you are in Columbus whether you live here or are just visiting. Tickets are very reasonably priced also.

I was very impressed with this minor league baseball park! It was clean, spacious, not a bad seat in the house. There is plenty of open space for receptions, and private parties.

We love attending Clippers games as a family at Huntington Park. They have so much to see and do. It was recently dollar dog night. Hotdogs, popcorn, chips and junior soda were all $1 each. Affordable dinner for the whole family at the baseball game!
Carrie Wolford — Google review
We go to a lot of ballparks, and the seating and view of the game here is excellent. I wish the food and merch had more of a selection, but what we did get was quality and well priced. Biggest complaint is the obstructed view from the concourse while walking and lack of TVs around the park to make up for it. Ticket pricing was reasonable, staff were all friendly, had a great time and would be happy to come back.

What a great park!
For a minor league team, they put on a terrific product.
Hotdog races, fireworks, and a first-class ballfield.
All at an affordable price, too.
If you haven't visited for a Columbus Clippers game, make time to do so. It's definitely worth your time.

Crazy crowded. The genius of building a ballpark downtown. It is truly à happening place. Minor league baseball at almost major league prices. But if they can get away with it, why not? Most people seem to be happier waiting in line for food rather than watching the game. Still, a beautiful park.

Went here on Easter Sunday thanks to the free Culture Pass Program that Columbus Metropolitan Library offers to cardholders for Sunday home games. I always enjoy the stadium and the variety of fun things you can do while in the park. At the end of the game, anyone who wanted the opportunity to be on the field, they had a special Home Run line for barkpall attendees. There's several benches and other additional seating throughout the park to see other views of the park. Variety of food options that are spectacular. I will most definitely be visiting this ballpark again.

The North Market Downtown is a popular local Farmers Market that offers shoppers a wide variety of fresh food and produce, as well as artisan crafts and global dining options. Held every Saturday morning during the growing season, the market welcomes over 20 vendors to sell their goods ranging from fruits & veggies, flowers, herbs, skincare items, honey, and baked treats. Additionally, inside the market you'll find 35 additional resident vendors who offer everything from delicious international cuisine to unique household products.
I went here with some family, and we loved it! It was pretty busy but you could still get around. We got Indian, Polish, Moroccan, and Mexican. All of it was divine! We also grabbed pretzels and ice cream all to die for! Would highly suggest.

Always a great time to visit the North Market, whether you’re hungry, need a snack or just want to walk in a vibrant, communal space. The mix of a wide range of cultural foods makes this public space a great melting pot. There are so many places to choose from. Currently some construction going on here, and it also looks like some new businesses are gearing up to start serving here. Looking forward to the future of food in this building! Also tons of seating on the 2nd floor with a great open view of the restaurants below.

Best find of my visit to Columbus! We could all pick what we wanted to eat and occasionally share with each other. You will find food from around the world. A couple of shops sold fresh cuts of meat and locally grown produce. There's even a florist in case you want to surprise someone.

Phenominal place. This was the primary reason I took a short trip to the area with my wife. We were both amazed. I didn't see the hot chicken place, but it was kind of a blessing cause it was one of the many things I wanted to try and after getting a little bit at a lot of the places we were both stuffed and had plenty left over. The cheesemongers at the cheese shop were very helpful and helped me select some nice ones for a homemade lasagna. I'm not sure if possible, but if not the pasta cooking place next to the pasta making place cannot cook what someone orders from the maker right there, definitely a missed opportunity. Olive and vinegar bar was great, picked up several. Out of the food places my favorite was the lamb shank and wife's favorite was her gyro(she thinks it was lamb and chicken). And I like a lot of spice/heat, so when I found my breakfast bagel sandwich lacking I was able to just pick up a bottle of black rabbit hot sauce, which is sooooo good. I hope to get a chance to go back and if we're ever driving through downtown Columbus, I will.

We had SO much yummy food here! We kept going back daily and trying different things. I forgot to take pics of everything we ate. The Greek place was my absolute FAVORITE.
Heather Briegel — Google review
The only issue I have with the North market is parking. I've been to many other cities that have markets like this and this is pretty average but again it's a market so the atmosphere is high energy. They did add a couple more seating here. Looks like because of a vendor is no longer here so they have some more seating downstairs. But you also have seating upstairs and outside. Right now there's a bunch of construction going on so it's hard to park close. However, there is a parking lot that they'll validate your parking as well. But you can come here and get many different flavors of food ethnics flavors under one roof

Don’t skip the polish stand!!! For sure the best potato pancake in Ohio. We hard a very hard time deciding which place to have lunch at as we were only in town for a day. We went with Tajine House (Moroccan cuisine) for our main entree and got some potato pancakes and pierogies from the Polish spot. Everything was very fresh and well presented. The atmosphere was extremely inviting and great for people watching as you can eat upstairs and look down on the indoor market. Plenty of fun local shopping as well in the market for those looking for a unique souvenir. Enjoy :)

12/2/23 update: I saw some newer restaurants here. They’re doing construction so it can be a little difficult going to the back entrance from the convention center. You’ll have to go in from the front.
I love this place. A multitude of different ethnic food and snacks. There is literally something for everyone here no matter how picky you are. Prices won’t break the bank. You get a generous amount of food. I like to grab different kinds of food to try out.

It is definitely worthy a stroll through the market. From a cup of Joe in the morning to a spicy bite of Nepali food, this is a cutesy place to spend time.
The pretzel shop is my fav! No need to commit to the full pretzels, those little sticks allow anyone a taste of variety without the quantity. And they are tasty, soft with just a touch of chewy texture.
Happy eating

Food hall concept where different food vendors are in a large open warehouse-type space so customers can select and taste different cuisines .. the ground floor is where the vendor's are and the upper floor is the dining area with plenty of tables and bar stools to enjoy the food

So much fun! A diversity of food vendors and little shops selling cards and flowers. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area. I went in the morning so most booths were still closed but I’m sure it gets lively in the afternoons! Lots of cuisines inside to try including Moroccan, Italian, etc. I included a photo of the stall map so you can get a sense of what’s currently there, enjoy!

This is the 4th such market I have visited with in the last 2 years and it is 2nd to only MKE's public market. There is a wide variety of culinary treats and goods. Will definitely be back! Parking garage across the street only cost me 2 bucks.... which was great as well.
The Ohio State University is a large public research school with a gorgeous campus and a variety of programs. It has a rich history, and is known for its leafy campus, sports, and healthcare programs.
The Ohio State University campus is basically it's own city.I spent some time walking the Olentangy Trail from Lane Avenue to about King Avenue. There is a lot of construction in this area and it had quite a few detours on the trail. These detours take you into campus and gave me a different perspective other than just from the trail. Ohio State University campus is constantly changing but it still has quite a few historic sites and some impressive new ones.

This review is on the grounds and walkability of OSU, not admissions or academics. OSU is one of the largest universities in the U.S. with an enrollment of over 60k plus. The buildings facing High Street are deceiving as they are not the prettiest part of this vast and impressively large university. The most lovely parts of the grounds are found within the inner campus, particularly near the Mirror Lake District. Another great thing about the campus is it is surrounded by fantastic shoppes, pretty parks, and unique restaurants.

This place will always be a part of me. It helped me become the person I am. The campus is so beautiful, there is so much to do, there are attractive people everywhere and you will have so many life changing experiences. The academics will help you land your dream job as they did for me, the football experience is exactly what you want, and the parties are what you hope for as a young college student. Ohio State sets you up for future success, but also gives you that college experience. You will be connected to your college for the rest of your life, so why would you not choose to go to a big name school like Ohio State? OSU will give you everything you could ever ask for in a University.

We went to the George Strait concert at the football stadium. It’s a nice stadium and the concert was fantastic. We encountered a bit of a problem with parking. I had an incredible experience at The Ohio State University. There is a lot of stuff to do here; you can never get bored with all the fun events on campus. The campus is always very lively and fun. OSU got plenty of libraries with a big book stack, so you never need to worry about study space. OSU have all the recourse that a student can think of; they also have fun clubs and societies so you can join them according to your interest. The campus bus service is also excellent, so there are no worries about transportation around the campus. The recreational center at OSU is one of the biggest in the whole country. And how can one miss the Shoe the best football stadium.

The greed is unreal here…They are unwilling to work with you if you are going through hard times and have a balance. I had tragedy after tragedy this year with my family but they were unwilling to understand. I don’t want my debt going to collections so I had to pay despite needing the money for family emergencies that popped up. I mentioned how my grandma had a stroke etc and the only response? Come up with the money since I will be removed from the payment plan otherwise. Such cruelty and lack of compassion towards people…I can’t wait to pay off my balance here. I am done with OSU. Horrible college.
Schiller Park is a great place to spend a summer day. The park features a pond, playground, tennis courts and an amphitheatre stage for shows. The theater group puts on amazing productions throughout the warmer months at the park.
“All the worlds a stage” we enjoyed our visit here, first time back an almost a year. I have been waiting for Shakespeare in the park, and it will be lots of fun to come out and see the show. Small, clean, and historic park paying homage to heroes from the 19th century. Family oriented, and our four-legged friends are welcome also. Nice landscaping, home to The Ohio State Champion Tree, suspended sculptures, a few fountains, and maze-like pathways . On occasion, an event may take place at this park. At the main fountain, the geese may want to say hello. Beautiful sceneries. Nice and friendly patrons. Parking available in and throughout the park.

This is such a lovely park! It was our first time and we really enjoyed ourselves. The park is large enough for the outdoor theatre performance that we attended and for others to not be disturbed. The large, vast trees and the sounds of nature at night were serene, as well as being nestled in a quaint neighborhood. It was the perfect backdrop for the performance last night!

You also are surrounded by historic homes that are amazing.
Nationwide Arena is a multipurpose arena in Columbus, OH that is home to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. The arena has been host to many events throughout the year, including fitness events by Arnold Schwarzenegger and concerts.
Got invited out to a Blue Jackets/Penguins game...and was quite impressed with the Nationwide Arena facility. There are no obstructed views at this modern facility...and really not a bad seat in the house. The usher staff and workers at the concession/food areas were very friendly and helpful. The hockey fans were good to get along and all seemed to have a good sense of humor. Especially since I was cheering for the visiting team. Area outside the arena was well lit, clean and seemed to have plenty of parking as well as restaurant options available. All in all, nice venue/experience and would highly recommend attending a hockey game at this arena. Was lots of fun.

It’s a decent arena. Views are good from almost any seat, even during a full house the line for the bathrooms aren’t bad. Food options for hockey games are decent. Prices are creeping up though.

Came with a large group of family for the first time. Easy to get in, employees were all very friendly and tickets were relatively inexpensive. Awesome venue to see the Blue Jackets play hockey. Though they ended up losing, the atmosphere was awesome. The venue is clean, lots of food and drink options, and it seems like there’s always something fun going on at the main level. The only downside is the beers are insanely priced. Be ready to drop $13 for a can of beer. Other than that, it’s a really fun time here! Great for the whole family.

Nationwide has always been one of the best venues I've seen concerts or live events. I really truthfully love coming here for events. It doesn't matter where you sit you're typically in a great. Went to Nationwide Arena to see Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce & Jackson Dean. It was a family event. Found plenty of reasonably priced parking downtown near the venue. Seats were easy to find. Staff was extra friendly. The sound was amazing. Overall excellent time. If you are planning to eat downtown ahead of the show, make reservations. If not, 2-3 hour wait times. If you plan to drink, beers $15. No cash, cards only! I will definitely be back!

I've always been impressed with Nationwide arena. This past visit was just as great as previous experiences. I'll start with parking, there are three major parking garages near the arena with affordable prices and easy access to the arena. The arena has always been good about opening the doors when they say they are going to. The staff are very well organized, very polite and friendly. Inside the different levels are well marked and easy to navigate. They offer stairs, escalators and elevators to get to the different levels. There doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Speaking of seats they are decently sized, cup holders and comfortable, they aren't super steep either. Nationwide has a bunch of food and drink locations throughout, just be sure to bring a bit extra (prices for beer I saw were around $13.99). There are also plenty of bathrooms, making it easy to get in and out while at your event.

Nationwide Arena is an attractive place. There are plenty of restaurants, parking lots and stores. The prices of food and drinks inside were a little higher, but reasonable. Came here for The 1975. It is good to see the stage from the mountain top. But the audio devices almost ruined the fabulous show. They have to pay attention to this issue that it was not quite clear to hear the microphone and instruments except drums. It was expected be much better than speakers of auditorium on campus.

Recently went to a Columbus blue jackets game, and I got to say I was totally blown away by the arena! Not a bad seat in the house love the layout of the property very inviting. I was thrilled with the food and beverage options. This is a go to venue for myself, and my family moving forward!

I've been here a dozen times, from sports to concerts, and every time it's been absolutely wonderful. The place is clean and safe and it's hard to find a bad seat. There are options open everywhere, and the arena district surrounding is perfectly built to suit these events, with plenty of parking, short beautiful walks, great people organization and management. This is a well managed place, and always a great time!

Awesome easy to get to event venue, in the heart of downtown Columbus. I cant wait to watch a Columbus Blue Jacket NHL game here. I visited on a Monday afternoon, and I found the gift shop open at 2pm.

The home of the Blue Jackets. Pretty cool arena. Last night 8-9-2023 was AEW. The food is very overpriced and the coffee which was pretty good is the famous Tim Hortons. All in all I will still rate this arena 5 stars.

Went to the Blue Jackets/Blues game on Oct 2nd with my disabled patner. I didn't get his name but the gentleman working at section 113 was very helpful as she slowly made it up and down the steps
We did not have tickets to seats that were handicap accessible, he offered to get into an accessible area which was great but we declined because the seats that we had were right behind the glass.
Only thing that I can think of needs improvement is maybe the Jackets could let the Blues win one. I've never seen the Blues win in Columbus :(
But seriously Nationwide is a great venue, easy parking right across the street

Went to watch the blue jackets play, always a good time! The building is always very clean and well maintained. Staff is always friendly and eager to help! Make sure you read any “do’s and don’ts” when you purchase tickets to be prepared! The food is delicious also, club level is amazing!

I attended a Blue Jackets game while staying in Columbus for a couple of nights. I enjoyed the game and think the arena is setup well. The atmosphere is fun during the game, as long as you are ready for the cannon when they score. Lots of food options in the arena, including Skyline chili and Tim Hortons.

Nationwide arena is a great place. It was my first time there and I enjoyed the seating. I was very comfortable. It was very nice. The concert was absolutely amazing. My favorite artist that I wanted to see was October London and he truly performed. It was great!

Seems like there isn’t a bad seat in the house! You can hear the skates on the ice and I bet that means any concert will be loud and you’ll be able to see whoever is there pretty clearly. Felt very easy to get in and out of with parking right nearby. Lotsa vending and restrooms. Plenty of vending machines too so you can just decide on the go for drinks without waiting in lines. I thought that was great. Really enjoyable venue!

Really good place to watch & catch a game. Though I don't have a CBJ jersey (one is on the way), my jersey collection is 0-3 so far......😂. All in all, the atmosphere is great and is a great place to see current NHL stars!

We’ve been to Nationwide Arena for lots of different events. The arena district is a very nice area, it feels very safe to walk around at night. There are several parking garages within a short walk. If you want to eat before or after an event, try to get reservations. There aren’t as many restaurants downtown as you might think.

As host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Nationwide arena is a great place to watch a sporting event or concert. Been to many games in the upper level, and lower level, not a bad seat in the house. The staff is friendly and helpful in all regards.

Hockey fans - this is a great barn to see a game! Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Layout is great - plenty of food and beverage stalls, massive concourse so you don't feel like cattle. Prices are decent for beer
Seats are tight but have great sight lines.

This was my second time at Nationwide, both times for concerts. Getting in to the arena is easy, but after an event I recommend hanging out at a near by bar for 30 or so minutes to let traffic settle down before you try to leave. Most seats are pretty good, even the cheaper ones. If you're going to spend the money on floor seats, definitely go for standing room if you can. Drinks are pricey but that is typical.

The Ohio History Center is a museum located in Columbus, OH that covers the state's history as well as Ohio Village, an interactive re-creation of an 1860s town. The museum is open seven days a week and has a variety of collections documenting different aspects of Ohios history.
I've always loved visiting here and I find something new every time I visit. This time I found out diamonds can be found in Ohio. My little guy loved it and smiled at all the stuffed animals. They got a pizza place opening up on the second floor soon and it looks awesome. Don't forget to visit the outside village. The actors stay true to their character and have a overwhelming passion for what they do.

A nice museum that we found to be surprisingly informative and interesting all about Ohio. As you travel from room to room it is fun to learn what each has to offer. There is even a replica home of life in the 50s which was fun to explore. I thought it was worth the stop and would come again.

I came here yesterday (Nov, 13, 2021). The museum was pretty good size but there really wasn't a lot of history being displayed here. While I did enjoy what exhibits they did have, I honestly expected way more than what they had. Ohio has such a rich history and I would say about 99% of it was missing from this place. I am a bit disappointed because I was hoping to learn more about Ohio history. But I guess I will have to stick to local town museums and books for that. How they can call themselves a history center is beyond me. Some of the exhibits had no relation to Ohio history at all, such as the rooms full of german World War One artifacts. And I know I am being petty with this remark.... But the brutalist architecture of the building is atrocious as well. It looks like someone plucked it out of a former Soviet town.

Enjoyable visit to the Ohio History Center. Favourite part was the 1950s Building the American Dream. The home was pretty interesting. The whole center was nice.

It's okay. The best time to come is when they have free tickets. If you search the website you can find the days that they have it. It's really stripped down from where it used to be. There is other Ohio museums that are a lot better. However, they do have some things here during Christmas time only. You can go into the Ohio village and see more but it is kind of stripped down and if you had to pay you might be a little upset

I took the Grandkids for spring break. I had no idea how much was here and how fun it would be for the kids! They had so much fun and I enjoyed it too. They have lots of taxidermy items of animals and birds and more. Somehow those pics got deleted from my phone. Both the kids agreed that their favorite part was the Lustron steel house from the 1950's. I will go back with my husband as I am sure he will like it too. The outside village wasn't open yet. I knew that, but wanted to take the kids while they were off. It opens April 1st.

Visited the center with family on a Sunday, arrived at 11am. Took us about 2 1/2 hrs to walk around and see all the exhibits. Not crowded at all, we were able to stop and talk, not feel rushed or feel like we were in the way of other visitors.
Great rainy day museum (if visiting indoor museum only). We will definitely go back to revisit when the the sun is around so we can walk through the outdoor ‘old timey’ village.
They have offered several special events like All Hallows Eve, Dickens of a Christmas, Night at the Museum, and Crime and Corruption.

For anyone interested in the history and in specific to the history of Ohio Country, this history center (museum) is an apt stop to check in !
This center has almost all the exhibits featuring in and around Ohio, which is very unique.
The exhibits range from fossils, wild life and native Americans from the era prior to the pioneers settlement and to the industrial era after the settlement. Also, elaborate displays of Ohio’s significant involvement in various wars.
The exhibits are arranged in various zones in a chronological time period. They’re nicely and spaciously arranged.
The center is located in a spacious lot with enough car parking and easily approachable by road.

So I'm a native Ohioan and a definite history buff. We're failing with our flagstaff musuem. Nothing dedicated to the seven presidents from Ohio? The Wright Brothers? The generals, Sherman, Grant, Custer? There is no biographical hall of greats. The inventions and industry of ohio isn't represented at all. I was floored with the poor setup of everything. This state is amazing and we do so much so well, and we're failing with our musuem. There are good museums in Ohio, so don't leave before you try them, COSI, USAF Musuem, among others.

Very clean and spacious! The staff were polite and friendly. There were so much to look around. We spent 1-2 hours there! You can definitely stay longer if you would like to read more introductions on their exhibits. The gift shop was a gem! There were many items with reasonable prices! The only downside is there was no coffee shop or any food for purchase. This would be a problem for visitors who would like to stay longer. Overall, recommended!
The Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) maintains an extensive and varied permanent collection as well as traveling exhibitions, making it one of the citys leading art destinations. The facility completed a major upgrade in 2015 which added an airy glass atrium and increased gallery space overall. For a unique experience, visit the Schokko Cafe in the building's colorful courtyard with views out to the Patricia M. Jurgensen Sculpture Garden.
I went and really enjoyed the modern art as well as all the fascinating interactive stations across the museum. I would highly recommend going and checking this out. You do need to pay to enter but it isn't that much and it is free to get in on Sundays. Overall I would recommend looking around for little details because I found little Lego Among us characters hidden across the museum which is hilarious. Though I only found four I would assume that there are a few more that I had not come across. These really got the attention of the kids and helped keep them occupied as we explored. I really had a great experience and would strongly recommend for families as well as friends to go and explore the fascinating collection of pieces. And I hope to come again really soon.

Visiting this museum was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was captivated by the rich tapestry of history and culture that unfolded before my eyes. The museum's meticulously curated exhibits offered a fascinating journey through time and space, showcasing a diverse array of artifacts, artwork, and interactive displays that brought history to life in vivid detail. The layout and design of the museum were both elegant and inviting, with spacious galleries and thoughtful signage that guided me seamlessly through each exhibit. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, eager to share insights and answer any questions, which greatly enriched my experience. Whether exploring ancient civilizations, admiring contemporary masterpieces, or immersing myself in local heritage, every moment spent in this museum was a celebration of human creativity and ingenuity. I left feeling inspired, enlightened, and deeply grateful for the opportunity to embark on such a captivating journey of discovery. This museum is truly a treasure trove of knowledge and wonder, and I cannot wait to return again soon.

My favorite out of all the art museums I've been to, and for comparison sake, I've been to Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. It's small, so it's very doable in just a few hours, is somewhat interactive, a wide temporal and stylistic selection, and easily the best giftshop I've ever had the pleasure of perusing. Lots of seats, all around. I haven't had the museum food though.

This is our first venture here with kids, and I must say the Columbus Museum of Art is 100% wonderful. Everyone we have talked to has been super friendly and helpful. The artwork is inspiring and I was blown away to see works by Picasso and Monet. There are plenty of interactive items for kids.
Admission is $18.00 for adults
$9.00 for kids(4 and up)/seniors/students
Free for little ones
Parking is an additional $5.00, and a gift shop or cafe purchase will validate.
They also have a partnership with other museums around the country, so a membership at another museum may cover the admission! We have an Ohio History Connection membership and they are partnered!
In conclusion, I absolutely recommend coming here and coming back!!!

I love all the creative ways the Columbus Museum of art engages patrons with opportunities to create our own bits of art after being inspired by what we see. Right now there is a cat exhibit and you have multiple opportunities to tell other patrons about your cat. The post-covid exhibit with photos taken of families during Covid on their porches was interesting though I felt that it might have been a little too cheerful for what the experience of isolation was really like. We survived a PANDEMIC but you wouldn't even know it was that bad from the smiling faces in all the photos. But then again, perhaps the goal of art is to make you think and in that regard, the exhibit did what it was supposed to do. We ate at the cafe after... was good but pricey so probably wouldn't eat there again...

The Columbus Museum of Art is a true treasure in the heart of Ohio's capital city. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a beautiful space filled with breathtaking works of art from around the world. One of the standout features of the museum is its impressive collection of American art, which includes works by some of the country's most celebrated artists such as Edward Hopper, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Winslow Homer. The museum also has an extensive collection of modern and contemporary art, featuring works by artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, as well as thought-provoking installations that challenge the viewer's perception of art.

There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby, making it easy to turn your museum visit into a full day of exploring and discovery.
Overall, the Columbus Museum of Art is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates the beauty and power of art. It's a true gem in the heart of Ohio, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The museum was pretty cool. Much smaller and maybe 1/4 the art work of Cincinnati Art Museum. More modern art than classical, older, art. They did have several Monet’s, a Picasso and my favorite a Jackson Pollock. Cost for adult is $18 but Military and up to 6 other guests are free so my daughter and I got to visit for free. Not much in the way of sculpture art.

It's a nice museum. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to go through. There was a crowd waiting for the doors to open so this is a popular spot. Once everyone got inside and went their own ways, it wasn't too crowded. The art was nice and the galleries were easy to navigate. There were spots throughout to stop and think about the art. Some had sticky notes to write messages about the prompts.

Diverse collection, traditional and modern, various culture backgrounds, for a small-medium sized art museum. Well designed and constructed architecture layout. The hallway ceiling deco is a little out of style, mis-matched with the building.

What an awesome place to spend a few hours in Columbus!!!! My friends and I were thrilled to visit the Columbus Museum of Art during our short visit there. The museum is lovely. I was most taken by our fabulous docent, Miss Carole Dale. She was by far the best thing at the museum!!! Her smile, spirit, energy, indomitable knowledge, and willingness to share information about the art and artists amazed me! I even purchased her book, This Life and the Fireworks, from the gift shop after our tour. I was disappointed she had gone for the evening because I would have loved to have had her sign my copy. She first took us to see the painting by the featured artist, Edward Hopper, of his wife pensively gazing from her bedroom window. Next we saw a Picaso, a rare one where Pablo actually wrote words on the painting, and finally in a gallery featuring a fabulous glass work by Dale Chihuly, where Miss Dale gave an awesome explanation of when and how the piece was assembled there at the museum. It was a memorable day, a great experience had by all! If you've never been, you must go and see the wonderful art there waiting for you to behold. The entrances were handicapped accessible, there were elevators, restrooms, and there was parking, museum maps as well.

The Columbus Museum of Art is a vibrant and captivating cultural institution located in the heart of Columbus, Ohio. As an art enthusiast, I had the pleasure of visiting this museum recently and was thoroughly impressed by the diverse range of artwork on display.
One of the standout features of the Columbus Museum of Art is its exceptional collection of American and European art. From traditional paintings to modern installations, there is something to cater to every artistic taste. The museum's curatorial team has curated the exhibits in such a way that each artwork tells a unique story and provides insight into different artistic movements and periods.
Another aspect that sets this museum apart is its innovative and engaging programs. The museum hosts regular workshops, tours, and interactive exhibits that allow visitors of all ages to fully immerse themselves in the world of art. Whether you're a seasoned art enthusiast or a novice looking to learn more, there is something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.
Furthermore, the museum's facilities are top-notch. The layout is easy to navigate, and the lighting and display of the artwork are thoughtfully designed. The museum also has a cafe on-site, providing visitors with a convenient place to relax and reflect.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Columbus Museum of Art. With its diverse collection, engaging programs, and welcoming atmosphere, it offers an enriching experience for art lovers and curious minds alike. Prepare to be inspired and amazed by the sheer beauty and talent showcased within its walls.

The art is all over the place! Centuries old, only a couple years old! Thankfully they put the art together in wings and you know where and what you’re viewing. There are plenty of chairs, chairs to carry and use, and little cues to help you appreciate the art through different thought processes.. ie: if you were in the picture what would you smell or hear? Thats a neat way to help people see different perspectives of the art! Free on Sundays, not real expensive anyway, staff very helpful. Bathrooms clean, great gift shop and snack and drinks also across from the main counter. What great way to spend an afternoon! Even has a Picasso!

The Columbus Museum of Arts welcomes all its visitors to time warp to and from eras that have helped shaped the world. The CMA collection is nostalgically beautiful and pays homage to artists, sculptures, photographs, and painters from then and now. The structure itself is a time capsule of familiar architecture with modern and welcoming ambience. Nearby parking and for a fee (sometimes). Also nearby parking lots/spaces near the museum. Handicapped accessible with elevators. Outdoor patio, a small restaurant, and a nice gift shop are offered by the museum. Nice and friendly staff. Some exhibits require an entry fee.

This beautiful, historic 1928 theater is known for its wide variety of performances, including musicals, ballet, opera and more. It was fortunately saved from demolition and completely restored in the 1980s, with its stage modernized to allow for fantastic performances like the Columbus Symphony Orchestra's concerts. Whether you're a fan of classical music (with concerts by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra), holiday season Nutcracker performances or just relaxing over old movies, visiting this theater is sure to please everyone!
Classically and traditional style theatre. It welcomes all genre of entertainment. You may hear some good laughter resonating from the echos projected by the audience, voices that sound like instruments, and talented musicians displaying their craft. Near by Parking garage and or metered parking.

Seats are tight! Like no leg room. And I'm only 5'4. My poor husband was so cramped. That would be my only complaint...it's so hard to sit through a long show being uncomfortable.
But, I'm aware a lot of the old theaters are that way. It's something to take into consideration though.

The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers a diverse array of exhibits, gardens, and social events inside or outdoors. The 88-acre botanical landmark has an impressive plant collection, seasonal art displays, and nature-based exhibitions. It is located east of downtown Columbus.
Awesome experience. Butterflies were active and awesome to look at and every room I went into felt refreshing! There were also massive and amazing glass pieces that were shown all throughout the conservatory that was so fun to look at. Great place to stop by and look at beautiful plants and feel the positive energy. The facility was very clean and easy to walk through. Staff was incredibly kind as well :). I went on Thursday at 1pm and it wasn't too busy but I'm sure it's a different story on the weekends. Parking was also free so that's a plus!

Great for all ages! The fall/ pumpkin display is fabulous! The color throughout the gardens is amazing. The fall colors are brilliant and the pumpkin's add the perfect touch as they are tucked into displays everywhere! Truly a beautiful walk in the middle of the day. There is handicap parking and the gardens are handicap accessible.

This is truly a Columbus gem! There is so much packed into this building, but by following the free, numbered map they provide at check-in, you should be able to see everything and experience each room or “climate” within two hours. They have such a great diversity of plants and flowers! This is a kid-friendly place, just be respectful of those who are there without kids looking to have a quieter experience. There is a small section along the self-guided tour where parents can stop and rest while kids play around with the kid-friendly, touchable exhibit. There are also plenty of places to sit throughout the entire building. The staff is very friendly and kind, especially in the gift shop. This place is so beautiful that I wish I could’ve been married here! My husband and I visited on the weekday (on a Wednesday specifically) so it was quieter and we didn’t have a wait. I do recommend buying your tickets online in advance. And if you have a Dawes Arboretum membership, you might get a small discount on tickets! That’s not guaranteed, so be sure to check before buying.

This is the place to go if you want to walk around in the winter but stay warm while feeling like you are getting out. The blend of inside with outdoor features is amazing. You can always check out their website for updates, projects and events going on in there. I'd recommend buying an annual membership. It pays for itself in a few visits. I'd recommend you go at a minimum once a season. There's something big each season plus lots of events throughout the year. Summer, you have the whole train feature going on outside which is huge by the way. Winter, they have the Christmas lights everywhere. Night time they light up the glass features year round but they change them out through the seasons. Daytime, you have the children's park summer has the outdoor water areas I'm the kids playground. Inside there is the butterfly exhibit, There are several temperate zones, glass displays, tons of amazing photo opportunities everywhere. Go to the website and just scroll.

Fantastic botanical garden. Very family friendly now with a large outdoor children's garden with exploration and water features. Desert, jungle, palm house, hot house for glass blowing demonstrations, large outdoor train to open in the summer. Free parking, small Cafe and gift store. Wheelchair accessible in many areas.

We had some time to burn before an event so we decided to check out this place. I did not expect to stay there for an hour and a half! There were so many gorgeous plants/trees. My favorite things were the bonsai trees and the railway outside with various carved wooden houses. Each area had a theme like animal, fairy tale, European, and wild west and the craftsmanship was phenomenal. The glass work throughout was a nice added touch as well.

Lovely place for an afternoon walk and a chance to enjoy nature. The topiary section is really well done and although the bonsai section is a bit small, the trees are very well maintained. The miniature train exhibit that is currently hosted at the gardens is really worth ehile seeing. Very well done.

My wife and I had a good time here! Admission is a little pricey and could be less for what we saw. However, it was fun seeing all of the plants/flowers and they were all taken care of extremely well.

This place is beautiful. We had to plan our first visit well because the first time we tried to go here, it was on the first Sunday of the month when it's free for county residents. We highly recommend not going then because you won't find a parking spot and it's stupid crowded. Instead, we went the day before and we nearly had the place to ourselves. The building has lots of history and we found out the fiddle leaf fig they have here is at least 100 years old and the largest fiddle leaf fig indoors in the United States. I would like to go back for other events and even though we don't live in Columbus, I would consider getting a pass here. They have a lot for little kids and our daughter (2) loved it.

Gorgeous!!!!! If you're a Columbus resident, you can get free tickets through the library! Otherwise, I think the entrance fee is well worth it. At this time of year the perennials are mostly dead, but the plants inside are thriving. Beautiful bonsai exhibit and really fun train exhibit when we went. Strongly recommend.

My husband and I visited the conservatory as our anniversary date. It was a really great experience and everything is absolutely beautiful. It's worth the 3 hour drive. Can't wait to take my daughter and granddaughter when the weather warms up. There's so much to see outside that we missed because it's February.

A gorgeous preservation of natures beauty as well as a setting full of unique and breathtaking glass sculptures. I made a visit with a friend of mine and neither of us knew what to expect, but the staff was kind and helpful, and the map made it easy to guide ourselves around the different sections of garden/exhibit.
This is a great spot to bring kids, as they have a ton of outdoor space and activities for families. The exhibits were clean and impressive, though a bit crowded.
The butterfly event blew me away. Being in a room surrounded by so many gorgeous butterflies was magical.
They have clean restrooms, a nursing room, an eatery, a gift shop, and i believe they even offer glassblowing courses on certain days.
I will be back again for sure! I was very impressed by my visit.

This place was so cute, and so pretty at night with all the Christmas lights lit up. My friend and I even enjoyed the space designated for kids (I need that mushroom shaped drum), and we got to see the inside and outside for a couple of hours before it closed. I loved all of it, and we got to get some small things from the gift shop too!! We want to go back when it snows and sometime in the spring. Definitely worth the money and trip time!!

This conservatory is truly amazing. Whether you are coming to see the flowers, to entertain your children in the kid area, or just want to see the butterflies, this place has much to offer for everybody. The Halloween event is especially nice. I recommend becoming a member. I can promise you that you won’t regret buying a membership. In summary, the conservatory is an amazing place, with something for everyone.

Very nice conservatory. Lots of plants and flowers. There is a gift shop and dining area. The butterfly area is really nice and we loved seeing all the different butterflies. The outside area is one of my kids favorites with a wonderful play space (especially when the weather is warmer and the kids can play in the water-bring a change of clothes). I recommend going in spring or summer if you want to be outdoors and see a lot of the flowers in bloom. Elevators are available to navigate between floors for those that may need them.

What an excellent place to appreciate flowers, plants, bonsai, topiary displays, Chihuly glass art, and a children's garden. The conservatory was set up and organized very well. My group and I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and seeing all the beautiful displays. They have a gift shop. There was a live band playing while we were there, which was a nice touch. The parking was free, but the admission fee was a little steep for seniors. They had clean, accessible bathrooms. They also had wheelchairs for those who couldn't do the walking. I am glad I visited this conservatory, and I recommend you visit here as well. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating I give it!!

Love it every time! My kids love it, too. The children's gardens are awesome. We also love all the indoor spaces and the outdoor trains. We come several times per year. And it's especially cool during Pumpkins Aglow in the Fall and Conservatory Aglow at Christmas time.

We went here for pumpkins aglow. It was a family friendly Halloween event. (Although the gentleman directing parking had some colorful language to describe a free for all parking situation...it was very busy for a week night apparently) The map provided was of the Conservatory; not of the event, and it was really too dark to read outside anyways. The pumpkins were all displayed really well and themed. There were some unused spaces that might have been good for treat stations. We went on a week night and found some of the entertainment only available on the weekend. I do wish that had been reflected in the price we paid for tickets. The food truck area did not have enough seating on a weeknight, the bar also ran out of coctail mix by 7:15pm. We had fun, and will likely return but would like to spend the day.

What a great place! This is the largest collection of Chihuly sculptures outside of his own museum in Seattle. Such a delight to see his art in concert with the gorgeous plants and flowers 🌺 (I attached a map of his art pieces around the gardens). Most of the best parts are inside so even if the weather is not great, still an awesome visit! Also a full children’s play area on the lower level. Plus a cafe and nice gift shop - you’ll enjoy! 🌈

Such a beautiful building at any time of year but the lights at Christmas are my favorite! Beautifully done and spaced out for everyone to enjoy! The kids loved it and so did the adults if we’re being honest! A must see with the family if you’re looking for an adventure during the holiday season!

Stunning! We came for Conservatory Aglow with our kids (9 and 12). The lights were very impressive, and we loved the music throughout. We spent about an hour outside, grabbed some hot cocoa, and then toured the botanical gardens. There was so much to see! Well worth the money - will definitely return.

A very beautiful building with white design. The orchid garden was very lovely. My favorite was the butterfly garden. The staff told me there were more than 2000 butterflies here, but I think they have less…. In general the experience was nice. I spent about 1 hour here.
If you plan 1 day to visit Columbus, buy a 1-day pass of the city will be cheaper than buying separate tickets. I bought a pass a went to The Conservatory and the Zoo/Aquarium.

I absolutely loved my visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus! This place is a true gem and deserves every bit of its five-star rating. Not only are the gardens absolutely stunning, but they also offer a variety of activities that are perfect for families.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of participating in some Japanese cultural activities, which were both educational and entertaining. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Exploring the gardens was a true delight. The variety of plants and flowers on display was breathtaking, and I found myself constantly amazed by the beauty of nature.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Whether you're a nature lover, a family looking for a fun day out, or someone simply looking for a peaceful escape, this place has something for everyone. Can't wait to visit again!

This place is great for plant lovers and families. They separate the plants based on their climates, which you can feel as you walk through and take in all of the foliage. Between all of the rooms, the hallways are lined with various plants, different every season. In some places it is not clear what direction the walkways go and you might walk through the same area twice. Every season there are also different exhibits, so every visit here may not be the same. They also have a seasonal butterfly blooming exhibit where you can walk through a mist of butterflies. If you want small plants or memorabilia of your own, there is a gift shop near the entrance as well as a cafe. This is a great place to visit during a weekend.

I recently visited the Columbus Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and it was a delightful experience, despite some areas being closed. The beauty of the place is undeniable, with bee hives buzzing for pollination amidst the few blooms of the season. What added to the charm was the colorful array of visitors, wearing vibrant Indian and African attire, which, humorously, added more color to the scenery than the flowers themselves. Capturing 90 images around the park, I found it to be a peaceful retreat, rich in diversity and life. A truly fun and picturesque day out!

Beautiful, even on a rainy day! Was in town visiting family and came here to visit with them. Of course it was a rainy mess that day so I did not get to enjoy all that the Conservatory and Gardens had to offer. However, what I did see what fantastic.
Ticket prices for an adult was something like $23 or $26 which is a little steep for a rainy day because you can't enjoy everything. However, the butterflies were amazing, staff was friendly, and what I did see of the grounds were so beautiful. Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Ohio (with hopefully better weather).
The stadium is known as the "Horseshoe" because of its distinctive double-decker design, and it is the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. The stadium seats just over 105,000 people and is a popular concert venue with Metallica and The Rolling Stones among others.
What a great day spent with my father-in law watching the Buckeyes!!
My only complaint is that the elevators were not operating and my 77 year old father in law was having an excruciating time making it up the many flights of stairs to the "C" deck.
This was my 1st time at the stadium and had no idea how many stairs were there for him to climb.

Home of the Buckeyes, the 3rd largest stadium in the United States at capacity… if you are a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers like I am and was at this game… please save your money and don’t go if you want a good game, it just won’t happen 😂😂. Other than that, was a fantastic atmosphere, loud, passionate… I could only imagine what it’s like during a game against Michigan, I bet it’s nuts 🌰😉😂! Lots of kind fans, few hammered whacks like every college, definitely got to get here at some point!

Ohio Stadium is a historic landmark and the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team. The stadium has a rich history and is an iconic symbol of the university. It was fascinating to learn about the different traditions and events that have taken place within its walls over the years.
The atmosphere at Ohio Stadium was electric.
The stadium is also conveniently located on the university's campus, making it easily accessible for students and visitors alike.
Overall, Ohio Stadium is a must-visit for any college football fan. The combination of rich history and a great atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience.

First time with seats in the Club section of the 'Shoe. Great view of the stage for the concert. Staff inside were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were nice, though there're never enough stalls to handle the rush at intermission or at the end of the concert. Good selection of beverages and food inside. All in all, it was a great experience.

Recently we went to "The Shoe" for the 2024 spring game. It was our third along with a handful of actual games we have attended and Ohio Stadium is always an amazing experience. Plan ahead, get there earlier and give yourself time to walk to and from the stadium to where you parked. I always tell the little ones, the walk is a part of the experience, not just parking but walking the campus. Give yourself the time to take in and truly enjoy the campus, the fans, the atmosphere, the stadium and at the end of the games, don't leave a couple minutes early because the joint singing of Carmen Ohio is full of emotion and feels being well worth the traffic. "How firm thy friendship"! O-H!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere to watch a college football game. The only thing I would say is if you're a big or husky person that seating is tight on the bench seats. We were in the middle of our row in the lower levels & we could barely sit in our seats.

We took the family for the spring game. It was a terrific time.
If you're reading this review you probably want to know a few specific things...so.
The food was great. We tried the pizza, and the Chicago style dogs. We also purchased a refillable suevinier cup for fountain drinks. I felt prices were reasonable, especially for a sporting event.
Bathrooms were easily accessible. Be aware that there is an in and out door, but most people didn't pay too much attention.

Best damn stadium in the land! I recommend going to a game if you have never gotten the chance! Skull session is a must, and walking through the tunnel for first timers! Skull session is where the band plays inside the old basketball arena before games, and the tunnel has an atmosphere like no other! Absolutely one of my favorite places to be!

One of the most iconic football stadiums in America. I have always seen the Horseshoe on television but this was the first time going to visit. The only bad thing about having over 100,000 capacity is the seats are pretty far back from the field. Overall nice to be in the historic stadium and also see an Ohio State Buckeye win as well!
Josh Baltazar — Google review
What a great place to see a college football game. The whole vibe is incredible. 100,000+ people is hard to imagine AND it’s very loud at times. I don’t think there’s a bad seat anywhere in the stadium.
But what is bad is the entrance process. 3-4 metal detectors right by the gates and you’re trying to squeeze in 8-10,000 people. It’s unrealistic and not handled well. More detectors might help. Maybe a routing system to help with congestion?
It doesn’t get any better inside. Limited food and drink stands - I saw several that were closed. We wasted an entire quarter just trying to get sodas and dogs. There’s got to be a better way. Even the drink-only stations I saw weren’t even open.

We came to see Buckeye Fest and it was terrific!!! Stadium was grand from outside , but from inside………. One of the dirtiest stadiums I’ve ever visited!!!!! Don’t get me wrong , I know 50, 000 people will do that . They were totally under staffed . Bathrooms, we’re almost unusable!!!! There just seemed to an “out of control” ness to the air at times . When Were waiting in line and they told you they were out of cokes, or the next line were you waited another hour and 15 mins to find out they can’t ring you up .

Attended the Buckeye Country Superfest with George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town and Warren Zeiders. Fantastic show that ran about eight hours. Sadly our tickets sat us on the visitors side with our rumps suffering on the metal bench all of those hours. Great views, otherwise and I don't fault the venue (although forbidding guests from bringing cushions seems a tad mean-spirited to me). The stadium was a capacity crowd too!

Possibly the worst stadium I have ever visited. The stadium was disgusting, littered with trash, dust, cobwebs, and urine. I understand that maintaining cleanliness in a stadium is difficult but this was unacceptable. On top of that we witnessed a group of fans racially harass two fans of the opposing team. The only positive was being able to experience a great and glorious victory and watch the stadium quickly empty. However, even that is not enough for me to ever step foot in Columbus again.

We attended a concert here at the beginning of last month. No parking allowed near the stadium, but we found a garage close by pretty easily and walked through campus to get in (really nice by the way!). Ohio Stadium aka The Shoe is one of the most beautiful and historic stadiums in all of sports let alone college football. Boasting over 100 years of history and tradition the facilities have been kept modern while still honoring the past. My family and I attended at least one Ohio State Buckeyes football game a year and always do our best to sit in section 21C or 23C. We love the view from there and we love the ushers. The stadium has some of the friendliest and most accommodating staff around. Always doing their best to help out and make sure things go smoothly. They are also very accommodating to those with mobility issues. My family and I go to at least one Buckeyes football game a year and here are some tips we have learned. The elevators to B and C deck are located on the west side of the stadium near gate nine. The skull session starts 2 hours and 20 minutes before kick off at St. John Arena besides a great way to get fired up before the game it’s a great place to find a real restroom besides all the porta potties. While there are many parking lots the lot near Jesse Owens track usually always has spots but it is a walk. Another benefit of parking there is you get to walk by and can easily shop at the buckeyes team shop at the The Schottenstein Center. Parking near the Ag building is closer but will fill up very early. The pictures I’ve posted were taken in section 23 C row 12.

We wanted something to do while kids were at a Kemba Live concert and this was perfect. We dropped them off and had plenty of time to get in ahead of the show for food and drinks, then back out in time to pick them up.
We saw Wicked Games and it was wonderfully unique and creative, unlike any other live performances. Performers are all very talented with many doing both live music and acting (oh and did I mention many of them are also servers and tech!).
House band was even a rotating cast of talented musicians performing covers. Center stage was a large screen where many prerecorded and very well done shorts were shown. Lighting and sound were perfectly done and never distracting.
We will certainly be back for more shows in the future.
UPDATE: We went back and saw Flower Power which again was an outstanding performance. This show is a mix of poetry and music from the 60's.
Highly recommend Shadowbox productions.

ShadowboxLive is a gem in our city! The Metaperformers are such incredible people. From gracious hosts to amazing talent. They Do. It. All!! If you’re unfamiliar, they write their own material, choreograph, costume, arrange music, run the sound and lights as well as sing, dance and act as well as all the functions of running the business and much more. Before, in between and after the show they are gracious hosts greeting you at the door, waiting on your table, bring food and bevs, making sure you had a great time and interacting with the audience. It really is a pleasure to see their shows and interact with the performers. To get to know them as real people, not as stuffy unapproachable divas that won’t give you the time of day. You owe it to yourself to go see a show at ShadowboxLive!

Seeing the show Pillow Talk was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with little wait once you ordered. The show was so much fun. The skits were funny and I actually felt like they were much better than the current SNL skits. Great job! Can't wait to see the next show!

What these performers do is so fantastic. The versatility of all the cast from singing to dancing and acting. It is wonderful to think that we have such an abundance of talent in our city. The writing team that comes up with these skits is amazing. If you have never been to Shadowbox live you owe it to yourself to experience it. I also want to touch on the house band. I would be doing a disservice to them if I didn't mention as a whole group incredible. Individually any of them could play with the best musicians in the music industry!!!

I have never had a bad time at any of the shows we have attended. Behind Close Doors is no exception. The skits are hilarious. The singing and music are great, as always. We will be back for at least two more upcoming shows, this year. Shadowbox Live is awesome and will continue to be one of our favorite places for entertainment.

The shows are so entertaining with very talented performances.
The music is my favorite part of their shows. The vocals are outstanding! I also enjoy the acting and dancing along with the stories told during the shows. It's so unique...you have to experience it yourself.
We always order drinks and food before the show. Love the loaded nachos and pizzas. The seating is comfortable, with great views of the stage.
I always look forward to their next show, no matter what the topic. I know I'm going to love it!!!

20th century humorist Will Rodgers once said that "I never met a man I didn't like," well to paraphrase that, I've have never seen a show at Shadowbox Live that I didn't like. And now you can add Pillow Talk to that list!! Outstanding entertainment.
This prestigious 13-acre park features a vast array of roses, as well as perennial and herb gardens. This beloved spot is home to over 11,000 blooming beauties, making it one of the country's most diverse rose gardens. The best time to admire the stunning flowers here is during June through September, but there are always plenty of sights to see throughout the year! There are plenty of trails for hikers and joggers to explore and a playground for your little ones too.
Lots of parking to start, and then a great little walking area with perennials, many different roses, flowering trees. There is a little walk up tower in the center to take some pictures. It is amazing when the roses are in bloom but even when it is not, still a nice walking area. Not much relevance anymore, but there are also Pokémon gyms!

This was a great place to walk around and lose track of time. I used my new (to me) camera here for the first time and took a lot of good pictures. It was very peaceful and wasn't busy for a park of that size. There were a lot of places to rest along the way, a public water fountain in case you forgot a drink and a lot of great photo opportunities. There was also a large green area great for picnics!

This is one of my favorite parks in Columbus! It’s always so beautiful and the nature you see is amazing. When the roses bloom they are breath taking! If you haven’t made a visit, you definitely should. 🥀
Taylor Morris — Google review
Went here today, and even though the roses were not blooming, the coming anticipatory bushes were still full of life and just waiting to burst into color. Lots of volunteers were out pruning the various bushes and plants, the community was truly thriving. Though it was cold, we took a brisk walk along the wooded stream and back up through the park of roses. Will be looking gorgeous in a few months. Always a good place to rebalance myself.

My absolute favorite park in Columbus with a hidden gem to explore. Roses are beautiful when in bloom. & there’s a trail that is pretty expansive
Nisha Cross — Google review
We visited early July and although I’ve never been in full bloom, I think we missed “full bloom” this year. The flowers were still very beautiful and it’s so peaceful to walk around. There are so many benches, lots of other people walking around (not crowded, just well attended) and lots of people with dogs. It’s obviously a great place for a photoshoot but also a calm morning walk. We will definitely be back soon!
Randi Classen — Google review
I loved the concept of this park! So many plants planted in the name of their loved ones. Even so many benches and foot stones have engraved names.
We visited in Winters that’s why there was no blooming of any kind! We didn’t see any roses! 🥀
The fountain is also closed during winters. It must be nice during the season but not at this time of year! Many residents were dog walking, there’s plenty of parking space in the lot! It’s a beautiful wedding venue for a summer wedding!
The park is free!

Beautiful Place for a wedding! My husband and I had our first date at the park of roses and 5 years later we went back there to get married! We'd planned to get married in 2020, but had to push it to 2021 and the park was very willing to work with us. I highly recommend Park of Roses for your wedding venue!

An oasis of comfort and chill in Columbus, near a nice neighborhood and within walking distance of trails and fields by the river. Popular for pictures and memory-making, perfect for lazy strolls and meandering thoughts. A fun, relaxing, and poignant place to revisit over time, to gauge your changing years against its slowly stalled sameness. Visual music and sweet scents. A place to hold a beautiful time. We had our wedding pictures here and don’t regret it.

Good picnic spot to spend time with family and see different varieties of roses 🌹 Big garden ; well maintained ; perfect evening walk and spending time there seeing these beautiful roses
Google maps will show the entrance where you’ve tennis courts , baseball courts — keep driving inside further to reach the roses gardens
You’ll really enjoy if you’re at the right season to see these roses

Great place for multigenerational families! also cyclists, walkers, runners. Walking is easy on the paved paths that wind thru the park; the rose garden (its more like a small arboretum than just a garden, imo) is definitely a place you will want to visit if you like beautiful plants.

The gardens are beautiful. I enjoyed the roses and the herb areas. We spent a little time here but wish we’d had several hours. It’s a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy some time on the many benches.

My favorite park in Columbus, any time of year! I love to explore more than just the main park, but the roses always steal the show. Forgoing for mushrooms is my thing, so many varieties around this area! Take a walk around and you will most certainly fall in love here! Also has rentable areas for special events (there was a wedding there today)!

This place was really awesome. My girlfriend wanted to go and I wasn't thrilled at first. I'm glad I decided to go. There are so many different kinds of roses. Also, even in mid October there were still lots in bloom. It was a nice easy walk and lots of chances for pictures too. We brought our dog but there were many dogs there not on leashes.

Watched the solar eclipse there recently. It's a beautiful park. Good parking. Nice facilities.

The overall park complex is nice. The playground area and around the ponds could use a little clean up, but it has everything and is a large space with a lot to do. What makes this place a must visit is the park of roses in the complex. This is a very well-kept and beautiful site. This will definitely catch your eye. The paths go on for a while around the flowers, and there are a few different sections you can explore.

Amazing variety of flowers, free to visit, always stop and smell the Rose's you wont regret it!
Just ensure to plan the timing of your visits as some times the flowers (in some areas) are now budding and will not have blossomed ywt.
Well maintained grounds, huge variety of shrubs and roses to enjoy (make sure you smell them, some are super sweet!) Or pick a nice patch of clean green to lay down and listen to the leaves under a shady tree. Some of the best relaxing down time you can ever have.
Lots of benches and overall takes about an hour to fully visit all the spots. Not bad!
Thanks to the staff for keeping it so pristine. Could use better care at the porta potties tho! (Or at least a few more)
COSI is an educational science center that offers interactive exhibits, working labs, and planetarium shows. The Center of Science and Industry is popular with kids and adults alike for its interactive learning opportunities like the electrostatic generator and High Wire Unicycle.
The over all experience was great!! There is plenty of things to see and learn from most being highly interactive to keep the kids entertained and engaged. Some of the themes include space, life, electrical, recycling and many more. Including a special exhibit featuring Cuba that I personally found very interesting. There is also indoor and outdoor play areas. The interactive stage was a nice break for the kids to enjoy an informative show on electric charges. The only down side was the extra expenses that aren't included in the initial entry fee. The Marvel superhero was the one that stood out for us. None the less we enjoyed our experience and look forward to taking the two hour trip back up again soon.
Dusty Sands — Google review
We absolutely had a blast at COSI! We were trying to fit a lot in and definitely needed more time and we were there for 5 hours. My little girl was three at the time and we did have to pay for her. I am a teacher so I did get entry free which was so nice! If I wouldn't have checked out the counter and paid cash I never would have known that so I'm glad we didn't prepay.
The activities were fun and engaging. There were so many sections that we couldn't really do with our girl because of her age so we are looking forward to going back multiple times as she's growing. The tot area was okay for her. She is almost four so she was a little bored up there. She really enjoyed the house area.
We really loved multiple areas where my husband and I could have stayed there for hours playing! I love that they had an interactive space where they could make parachutes and test them out! We really had fun in that area as well. I could go on and on... So much fun exploring science!
Brandy Hart Carroll — Google review
While the Center of Science and Industry museum has some interesting exhibits, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The exhibits seemed outdated, and there weren't enough interactive activities to keep visitors engaged. Additionally, the ticket prices felt too high for what was offered. Overall, it's an okay place to spend a few hours, but don't expect to be wowed.
The Titanic Exhibit was an additional $42 per person after paying the $35 entry fee and with parking and any food and trinkets !! Not sure how these places expect to go broke!
Christopher Hamm — Google review
The price was quite a bit of sticker shock, especially the random Columbus arts and culture fee 🙄.. but seeing how the kids reacted to everything, even how the adults in my group had fun with them was pretty awesome. We passed on the additional cost attractions so I can't comment on those ... Except the marvel exhibit. That alone is worth the whole trip for me, it's a FANTASTIC exhibit and I highly recommend it for adults and children alike.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Atomic cafe food was excellent. Whole museum was clean and well organized. If it was closer to me I would even consider the membership program they offer.

This museum was so much fun! Went with some friends and we had the most amazing time. So many interactive exhibits and many learning points. The King Tut exhibit was one of the coolest things I've done ever and the artifacts blew me Away. I highly recommend locals and those traveling check this place out. Planetarium comes with admission! I believe adult tickets were $25 at the time so definitely reasonably priced for all the magic you're getting. 3 floors of science and exploration? I will be for sure coming back with my daughter.
Dana Pangalos — Google review
So much to look at! You can easily spend a few hours here.
If you go on a Saturday try to get there right as they open to avoid it being crowded the entire time you’re there. They have a great kid space upstairs that is spacious and they have a nice water area.

A really fun museum. We enjoyed the rat basketball a lot. The dinosaur exhibit is pretty good and so are the interactive space displays. Can't say anything about the planetarium because they cancelled the last two shows for the day. I never found out why. The small town of Progress was exceptionally enjoyable. The food at the cafeteria was surprisingly good. Very good infact. Prices did seem excessively high though

Beautiful science center and fun for kids all ages. My toddler loves the kiddie area and the dinosaurs and my other older children enjoyed the rest! Will definitely return!

Really great place for both parents and kids!! Very interesting, and they had tons of fun hands-on stuff for all ages to enjoy!!😁 The only thing that was a little disappointing was the planetarium show, which was not very entertaining for the kids and was more about Egyptian mythology about the stars than our solar system. We said that we should have skipped the planetarium show.😕

Visited COSI on 10-14-23 with three adults and five kids. The total price for the entire day, which included parking, entrance, and food, cost approximately $410.
We've been coming off and on for some odd years, and while we have always really enjoyed it as a family, it gets harder to justify the astronomical price, comparatively to other things.
Many exhibits are the same as they've been, with little to no change whatsoever, in the last decade.
The cafeteria can hardly maintain the influx outside of very early morning hours. Prices for food are extremely high (higher than amusement parks, football games, or other comparative places pricing), and this particular time, the special exhibit (Barbie) was incredibly underwhelming.
While the kids had an incredible time, and we adults too, and enjoy what COSI has to offer, as a returning and paying visitor, it's in need of a total face-lift in regards to maintenance; and just in general.
If you've never been, it is highly recommended as it's a unique and incredible place to experience. Adults and children alike can explore and be immersed into a world of science and exploration, but it has little to no return value outside of special exhibits.

My family went to enjoy the Titanic Exhibition. The place was insanely busy. Overall, the exhibition was incredible and we spent several hours exploring the rest of Cosi. Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon with kids.
Christina Gayheart — Google review
I love this place, but I wish it had more hands on things for the younger kids to do. We went for the Marvel attraction. It was cool, but definitely for teens and adults. They did have the costumes from the movies on display. We went on a Saturday so it was very, very busy, but that was expected. My only complaint is about the rude adults that do not try to control their children, or know how to act in public themselves.
Brandie Myers — Google review
Very cool place with so much to see, for the very young to adults. Grab a map and wander around. I found myself having to stop the kids from just running up to an exhibit and touching everything and if it didn’t “do” anything, they’d run to the next thing- there is a lot of reading involved before you can do the actual activity. So, I had to call them back, read the instructions to them, then it was actually a cool thing to do. My kids were ages 8-12. They just wanted to physically do everything without really knowing what they were supposed to be learning about. So, adults, keep up and get engaged along with them so they know how to complete the activities and maybe learn something from them. The Marvel exhibit is cool, but I’m not a fan of the extra charge to see it. The outdoor courtyard stuff is fun and there’s a playground out front of the building too. There’s a cafe and gift shop. So much to do and see, could be an all day thing if you want to get your money’s worth.

My family had a blast at Cosi! Love the teacher discount and the reciprocal memberships to other museums. My oldest loved the king Tut exhibit and my youngest loved the dinosaur exhibit. The kids play area is great and the outside play ground is so fun. So much to do we never see it all in one visit. I always recommend this place to anyone coming to Columbus.

COSI is committed to recycling, protecting and preserving nature, and maximizing fun when educating kids. We have a membership and go there often (it's paid for itself on a few visits already!). There are little things about this place that can make it interesting if the big displays don't catch your attention, like the sun dial in the outdoor eating area of the café. There are a variety of farm animals and an activity tent available for their Farm Days now, so go pet some docile creatures and learn how to support local farmers.

Huge muesum with lots of exhibits to see. Spent about 3 1/2 hours just to find out I didn't get to see the ocean stuff, kinda bummed. I bought tickets for the Motion Simulator ride and it was pretty awesome. My favorite was the King Tutankhamun exhibition. Pretty amazing story and beautiful replica of his tomb. Let's not forget the planetarium. So beautiful, calm and relaxing. Durring our presentation, we got a little history about how the Egyptians used the stars and sun for many things.

One of my favorite science centers. I have been here roughly fifteen times throughout my life and each time I have enjoyed it. Three floors packed with exhibits to see and learn from. Something for every age found here, especially if visiting with littles who would benefit from the third floor kid room specific for all under first grade. This was the first trip my kids were too old to go in but we always enjoyed the time spent here at Cosi, definitely recommend a stop!

Wonderful place to spend the day. Plan for the long haul there is so much to see it’s worth return trips. So many fun activities for the kids. Spend some time in the store and grab a kit. If you’re hungry the cafe was great! The trip back in time through progress was incredible.

Cosi simply is one of the best science museums in the nation (having visited most of the popular ones around big cities) ; the building is well thought of and the space is perfect for accommodating amazing collections of science and nature exhibits. Several areas have rotating exhibits that keeps it fun.
Various events keeps us coming from dinosaurs tales, to rats basketball, construction displays with real bulldozers, to adults only night at the museum!!
The kids play area is one of the best and most comprehensive I’ve seen (at par with children museums) with well maintained and cleaned items.
Membership includes reciprocity entrance to most science museums nationwide.
Parking is easy.

What an amazing resource for the community. Such an incredible experience. There are so many interactive exhibits to spark curiosity in both the young and young at heart. Just the history behind the museum is exceptionally enriching. COSI has been on my list since the sixth-grade. Today was the day. The planetarium was awesome.😃 The glass elevator was a crowd pleaser. The energy, the ocean, & the recycling ♻️ information are definitely something we can all learn from. Take the day or more to enjoy 😉 all COSI has to offer.

Wow! What an amazing science center! We were first timers from out of town and we had the best time!
It was crazy busy due to spring break, but once the initial entry rush was passed, there were only a couple exhibits that were too packed to really experience and that’s saying something since we were there for about 6 hours.
We all had fun, but the younger kids were kinda done before our oldest, so I’d recommend more for ages 6+, although they do have a little-kid only space. Our littles just didn’t want to spend that much time there.
Highly recommend the Electricity Show and Rat Basketball! Other favorite exhibits included the Gadgets and Dinosaurs.

This mall has done a major revamp in the past few years. Indoor malls were on their way out but not this one. It is full of unique and amazing stores mixed with the old favorites. FYE and Boxed Lunch are hits for any nerdy family members or fans of Disney. Also loved the Boho clothing stores, there are several and they are beautiful. Plan on spending the day between the movie theater, Funny Bonez, all the delicious restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, Quaker Steak and Lube, Five Guys, Mimi Cafe and all the other chain stores both inside and out.
It's amazing! Enjoy yourself and don't rush

Nice mall- consistently clean and welcoming, despite the changing environment.
Sadly, some recent shootings and criminal activity have deterred families and others from frequenting.

Overall there are A LOT of shops to choose from so we definitely found what we were looking for. The oversized kiosks in the middle made the mall corridors feel a bit narrow. It makes for a family of 6 with a large stroller a bit challenging to maneuver around. We ate at the food court upstairs which did not have much seating available at the time. With the long lines stretching into the walkway, it made for a chaotic search for food and a place to find a seat.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a popular family destination with a hands-on tide pool, reptile lab, kangaroo walkabout, and more. It's home to many animals including an impressive menagerie of primates and animals from all over the world. There's also a golf course, water park, amusement park, and more.
First time at the Zoo in the winter and it was Great! Hardly anyone was there so it was like we got the animals all to ourselves. Africa area is closed for winter so we couldn’t see gorillas, lions, or giraffes but plenty of other happy and active animals were around and able to be seen. Tickets are half price for the winter too so take advantage of that deal!

Great zoo for the whole family. Lots of parking. Clean and well staffed. I saw EMS and security team members roaming the zoo.
Many attractions have wheelchair access. Clean and kid’s friendly. Lots of customers but didn’t get overwhelming for me because the place was so large, everyone was well scattered.
Lots of restrooms, small gift shops, drink and snack stands, and restaurants throughout the zoo. Lots to do. Lots to look at. Lots to buy.
Affordable prices for foods, drinks, snacks and admission. Parking is $10 in addition to admission cost. Water park is also additional.
Place is huge. Plan to stay a whole day or maybe even two days or else you’ll be rushing to get through the entire place.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium exceeded our very high expectations. Every exhibit was well themed, spacious, and full of activities for the animals. The pathways were well-marked and well-laod out. Water cups were available at all drink and food stands with fountain drink sales. The animals were allowed to choose whether to be in their outside or inside habitats.
There were many species we had not seen in person before including sand cats, several reptiles, and polar bears. The reptile house was expansive and impressive. Personally, I have never seen a feline that I didn't love and the number of big (and small) cats at the zoo did not disappoint.
I have only great things to say about this zoo. A couple of tips we discovered; definitely buy tickets and parking online, this makes entering so much faster; purchase a refillable drink mug and enjoy complimentary refills the day of purchase; ride the Dinosaur Boat Ride (additional $3 charge, worth it); and if possible, ride the zoo shuttle from the nearby Park-and-Ride for $3 tickets.
Finally, the zoo has been collecting cards for Jack Hanna and his family. Jack Hanna spent his life educating people on animals via his TV appearances, shows, and the zoo itself. He is stricken with advanced Alzheimer's disease and no longer recognizes the zoo that he helped to shape. If anyone is so inclined, there is a small mailbox in the guest relations building, inside the zoo, next to the turnstiles where you can leave a card or note for him and his family.

The Manatee and Stingray habitats are awesome…
Very large parking lot. I was in awe of the size of the parking lot. The zoo employees were very friendly and polite. The zoo itself was cool but if I’m honest, I thought it would be a lot better. Very muddy, lots of construction I couldn’t find anywhere for my son to get a snack, a lot of things were closed or broken. This was on a Thursday, 70 degree day, in March. Maybe bad timing to visit but I wasn’t impressed. I will visit again in the summer to compare experiences but I am weary of what the large parking lot means for crowds in the summertime.

By far my favorite zoo in Ohio. This is the first time we've gone this late in the year and it's beautiful with the leaves changing. Since it was cooler more of the animals were active which we loved!! The new underwater tunnel for the seals is awesome & one of our favorite things there this year. Wasn't crowded at all. The Zoo and bathrooms are very clean & the staff is super friendly, great with kids! They've added Adventure Cove since I visited last & it looked like it could be fun, but you can only ride a few rides with a Zoo admission ticket. We LOVE Sting Ray bay. The stingrays get super playful when you're feeding them!!

This was my first visit to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and I am sure it won't be the last. Even though the temperature was hot the park has several places to go inside for quick cool downs. The park is easy to navigate. The exhibits were informative and interactive. The animals were active or visible too. My son (10) had a blast in the stingray pool with several opportunities to see and touch them up close. Overall a great day and I look forward to returning.

We went here for the lights and they were absolutely gorgeous. Pictures didn't do them justice. Such an awesome zoo and pretty clean for the most part. I would suggest getting there early if you also plan on seeing the animals as most exhibit areas closed at 5 pm which we did not know and missed a ton of animals. It was also very crowded if you don't enjoy being shoulder to shoulder with people, the line to get in as we were leaving was all the way to the parking lot.

Our first time to the Columbus Zoo. It wasn't over crowded and we could walk around easily. If you're a Hot Chocolate fan I would highly recommend getting the souvenir cups that you can get free refills as you go throughout the night. Wait times at the food carts are not horrible either! And very nice staff members.

We went on a Saturday and it was somewhat crowded being Earth Day Weekend.
The exhibits weren’t overly crowded. Had to wait at the more popular ones where animals were active (at most-2 minutes)
ALOT of Construction on exhibits making them un-viewable.
My only pet peeve is having only ONE first aide station at the very front of park.
Food was super pricey. One med fountain drink and two- 2 piece chicken tender with fries was almost $35 😳
You can get free cup of ice water anywhere, which is nice.
Parking was pretty easy. Tram was not operating at the time.
If not requiring any discount (ie military) I would get tickets online. I needed military discount along with Franklin county discount for daughter so we were able to get tickets for $22 each. So that was awesome. However, had to wait in line to purchase tickets. Only waited under 10 minutes. Ticket girl was very friendly.
ADVICE:
1. Get tickets online if possible
2. Take picture of where you are parked
3. Download Columbus Zoo App
4. Make a plan to tour park so you aren’t going back and forth. (Only going wrong way once, my daughter and I still walked a 6.14 miles—this started at car and finished at car) so about 5 miles.
5. Bring own food
6. Bring empty water bottle to fill once in park. You may be able to bring full bottle (not sure) bottled water is $3-4

We went for the holiday lights and it was worth the 2 and a half hour drive for us. We also arrive close to opening time before it got flooded with people at sun set so that was a smart move.
It felt like the entire zoo was ours. The downside was that half of the animals were gone but that’s completely understandable as no decent person would want animals to freeze for our entertainment. Regardless, we had a beautiful walk through the entire place twice. Once for animals and second time around for the lights.
The huge LED Christmas tree is the star of the night as it is just a technology marvel to view.
SO MUCH EYE CANDY!

I hadn't been to the Columbus Zoo for a long time! So much bigger. The zoo and aquarium were absolutely amazing! Natural habitats we're well maintained. Animals seemed clean, well fed and mostly active. We all enjoyed the wonderful displays. Price was about $25 for the zoo and aquarium. They also had rides! I think you could pay per ride or maybe buy a ride pass bracelet (??). Also, they had a splash park! No info to give, just that I saw it as an extra part of the zoo area (need to buy a extra ticket for the water park). This attraction has a HUGE parking lot ($10 for parking...I highly recommend buying tickets online. Also, you should print your tickets before you go! You pay for parking at the same time). From the parking lot, there is a "tram" to get on to ride to the main zoo entrance. We had a great day!

We had a great day at the zoo. They have QR code that you can scan to have the map right on your phone or they offer paper maps as well. They had great signage too so it was easy to follow and find your way around. There were volunteers at a lot of the animal viewing areas that shared information about the animals we were seeing. They have plenty of seats throughout for breaks. You can take in drinks and snacks too which is a great way to save some money. They do have stands throughout for food and even offer Great Lakes draft beer. They have a great food court too. The outdoor area is covered with plants so you get plenty of shade. We saw a good amount of animals. We learned a lot we didn’t know about different species too. I would recommend you check it out.

This is by fair the biggest and best zoo I have ever been to. We went here on our way down from New York and it was a great decision. We spent 5 hours at the zoo saw plenty of animals. The zoo was very clean, staff was helpful and friendly and they had a lot of displays and beautiful landscaping.

Had a such fun day at the zoo! This is one of the better zoo in the country. Lots of animals and sea creatures to see and touch. Fun shows and cool rides. Loved the 4-D film, ticket was only $5. It is such a great place for the family to bring their young kids. Us adults also had a fantastic time!

This zoo is one of the best I've ever been too. The animals are excellently cared for. They have zoo ambassadors at the exhibits to answer questions about the animals. There are multiple shows and demonstrations. The zoo offers private tours and experiences for an additional charge. It is huge and beautifully designed. There is a water park right next to it that I haven't explored. I have visited this zoo twice and each time I left completely exhausted. You could easily spend a couple days here to really get to see and do everything. They have food, alcohol and dessert available for purchase. The entire campus is non-smoking. There is plenty of parking, and a train inside the zoo and a shuttle to ride if you are parked far. The zoo has a couple of little rides. It's perfect and designed well for families or whomever to enjoy!

One of the best days of our vacation was spent at this zoo! I would definitely come back again, this time maybe for The Wilds experience.
We got there fairly early, not long after opening. FYI, there is a parking fee collected when you enter the lot, so be ready.
We saw so many animals and had great views that allowed for some awesome pics. Definitely recommend spending the extra cash to feed the giraffes, too. I do this at any zoo that offers it and it never gets old. We covered most of the zoo in a very busy 3 hours, but if you want to take your time, you could easily spend a whole day.
Oh, and I loved the Frosty cart, it was a great treat right before heading out. I haven't seen one like this anywhere else and it was a perfect ending to the day.
Definitely recommend.

We love close enough to go to the Zoo regularly and enjoy the beautiful grounds and education offered. The zoo doesn't remarkable job of encouraging conservation and understanding animal habitats.
I am adding a review of the WildLights for 2023. The sheer volume of work that goes into this endeavor demonstrates the sense of bringing community together. It was awe inspiring - packed for sure. Things seemed to run orderly and for trip the weather was cooperative. If you haven't gone go- parking is $10 and then of course the price of your ticket worth it for a family outing to see lights and enjoy the sights...side note most all the exhibits close at 5PM.....so don't expect to see the animals..just the lights.

Fun, fun, fun!!! We spent 5 1/2 hours, and still could have a little bit more time! The boys had fun, seeing some cool animals that they didn't get to see very often. Lions where very active, gorillas where fun to watch run around, Elephants wherebout and walking, and the sting a ray bay, was a must! So so cool to touch them!
Janelle Hicks — Google review
We went during the last part of March, and it was still cool enough that some of the animals were off exhibit. What animals were out, were great to see, and very active! The amount of walking g between exhibits is a bit tiring and the exhibits that were closed for the season looks like they had not been touched since last year, they looked like an abandoned part of the zoo.
Chris Pickard — Google review
This is the most kid-friendly zoo I have ever been to. It's extremely large yet the entire zoo has exhibits geared toward children. Eleanor and Josh especially enjoyed learning to be copilots. You can get very close to the animals, which is unusual.
Kathy Zucker — Google review
Christmas lights was one of the best displays I have seen bar none. Worth the trip for sure.
If you are going to see animals go earlier in the day because a lot of displays of animals end about 5. The one bad thing I will say is if you go,plan on being stuck in parking lot for at least 2 hours or just camp in parking lot all night. No traffic direction to exit so therefore all night traffic jam
dusty fuerst — Google review
It's pretty much always a good experience here. The membership is a great value if you live in the area. The free parking for members is huge.
The zoo fits a lot into the space. It's not as sprawling as the Cleveland Zoo, but it has a good selection of animals and habitats. There are some fun, unique areas like walking with the kangaroos and the tunnel going through the seal area. The boat ride through the Dinosaur Island area is a hit with the kids.
The zoo does get extremely busy on weekends and during summer, and traffic shuts down the city during Zoo Lights in the winter.
Chris Davison — Google review
A solid 1/3 of the animals just seemed to not be around. I understand we’re early in the season but we paid full price for probably 1/2 of the attractions being available.
No line control at the entrance so people were just all crowded up against the gates to enter with people just cutting and shifting into lanes after already standing in line an hour before getting to this point. 2 lines that just turned into a chaotic blob.
The Unextinct after hours exhibit was a much better experience than the daytime zoo visit. I would do that again.

I love going to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. They have so many great animals to see. I especially enjoy the Pallas' cats, the bears, the sea lions and seals, the reptile house, the penguins, the tiger, and the manatees. The property is well kept, and the habitats for the animals are nice and spacious. It's a great place to take kids or to just spend an afternoon. You'll want to allow yourself plenty of time to see everything, though, as it's a large zoo! Definitely worth a visit, or several!

We came to do the Frankie Experience; a behind the scenes visit with Frankie and his mom Phoebe. We were able to feed Frankie and help bathe both of them. We even got to touch Phoebe’s foot. We learned a lot during this visit. We highly recommend doing the Frankie experience. It was a lot of fun.
Schmidt's sausagehaus is a long-running German eatery with live oompah music in a historic livery stable. It is well-known for its Bahama Mama sandwich, which features either an original or mild link served on a toasted New England split-top bun. The restaurant has been in the family for four and five generations and is popular for its catering services as well as its high marks from reviewers.
Such a great time. The atmosphere is super fun, the food is tasty and reasonably priced and the service is great. For starters, I highly recommend the sauerkraut bratwurst balls and the famous pretzel nuggets. For dinner, I ordered the weiner schnitzel and my wife got the Bavarian cabbage rolls. Both dinner portions was plenty and wound up taking some leftovers home. If you want to experience authentic German home-style food and drinks served with a side of “Old World' charm give Schmidt's a try. You won't be disappointed.

My parents have been trying to make it to Schmidt’s for a very long time however, due to how crazy busy they get, we have had no success. Recently, we returned to Columbus for a concert and we finally got around to eating at Schmidt’s. Here’s how it went:
We arrived shortly after they opened (Friday 2/17) and they weren’t busy so we immediately got a table. Our waiter got to us really quick and got our drink orders. He was SUPER friendly and energetic, ready to give us recommendations if we wanted them.
We got the pretzel nuggets as an appetizer and I gotta say: I’ve had so many pretzels lately, but these have to be some of the better ones I’ve had in a while! Super crispy, salted perfectly, and the beer cheese was great too!
As my entree, I got the Flat Brat (basically a brat burger) with waffle fries. What are my thoughts? It was good. The pretzel bun was soft and tasty, the burger itself was decent. The waffle fries were amazing! Fried to perfection and overall were fresh!
Overall, I’d say that the food lives up to the hype. If I make it to Columbus, I’ll hopefully make another visit here and you should too! (That is if you can get a table successfully, haha)

We held our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs event space of Schmidt’s. This was one of the coolest venues of our entire wedding weekend! There is a private bar, along with a large dining room which could have accommodated up to 120 people (we had about 50). The food was amazing as usual, with a lot of choice for the buffet (we had salad, three entrees, all the traditional sides, rolls, and mini cream puffs!). We would even accommodate two guests who don’t eat pork (which you’d think would be hard with German food!) We had the space to ourselves and it was perfect for visiting with the wedding party as everyone arrived for the weekend. The staff were all so friendly. We worked with Matt, who was super responsive and helpful (even when we had to postpone our date a year due to COVID). It was such a lovely evening, and we would highly recommend for both food and events!

Delicious!! My favorite was the sauerkraut balls! We also ordered the cabbage rolls that came with the smashed red potatoes and green beans with spaitzle , Wiener schnitzel that came with German potato salad, the potato soup, potato pancakes, red cabbage and the pretzel bites- also the smash burger and of course a giant cream puff! Can’t wait to come back! This restaurant gets 5 stars!!! Worth the wait!

What a great time. This is in a little German community, with cute old houses. I went with a group of people and we were seated within 5 minutes of getting there. We got the pretzel nuggets with beer cheese and tangy mustard, I didn't get a picture, because they didn't last longer than a few seconds. I ordered the sausage sampler and it was great. We also had to get the famous cream puff dessert and good lord that thing was wonderful! If I'm in this area again I will be stopping by!

A restaurant straight from the Gilded age! If you're in Columbus or just passing by, the German village in Columbus is home to many really great restaurants, this one is probably one of the oldest to date that I've had the pleasure of trying.
The service is great, the food is just priced right for the serving size. This is a must visit place even just for the experience. Their cream puffs are really good as it's not too sweet!

Very popular spot for German cuisine. You can see the current wait time and add your name to the wait list online before you arrive. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and the wait was about an hour.
I ordered the Bavarian ham and cheese sandwich with German potato salad. My food was all really good and I would get it again! My husband ordered the chicken schnitzel, and his food was not as good. The chicken had good flavor but was very chewy. The spätzle was barely warm.
Service was good, and the overall atmosphere was great. We would give it another try.

I'll second another review I saw, this restaurant is totally different from anything I'd usually pick. Very, very worth it & extremely satisfied with the decision. The staff was friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered - entree, side, and dessert is made to a high standard and it shows. And tastes. I'd come back here in a heartbeat if I wasn't leaving town tomorrow.
Had the sausage sampler, there's an option for "bottomless" which was great because their Bahama Mama's were amazing. Their mustard and horseradish, made in house, are easily the best I've had. In fact, everything is made in-house & SUPERB. We don't even normally get dessert but the food was so good we ordered a peach cream puff and German chocolate cake to go - same story. Divine!

I hadn’t been here in over 20 years but I brought my daughter tonight and it was just like I remembered. The food and atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress was wonderful at helping us with the drink and food menu. Dessert was the cream puffs and the German coffee which paired great together! We were so excited to walk around the village that I had forgotten my credit card and the host rushed out to catch us! Wonderful service and we can’t wait to come back and try something different on the menu.

A warm and inviting environment for this blistering cold winter day in Ohio. It was nestled in the cutest area with little shops and what looked to be original brick roadways. Such a great find! The food was delicious and comforting like a warm embrace from grandma as you thank her for cooking the Sunday family meal. The sauerkraut and bratwurst balls were delicious! Paired with a creamy mustard, it was the great way to start the meal and it came out fast too! They were very lightly breaded and didn’t leave a greasy feeling like most fried foods do. I tried the hunter schnitzel. The mushroom gravy was savory and delicious complimenting the thinly breaded pork lion. The German potato salad was flavorful and not too vinegary like ones I have had in the past. The red cabbage was tender, sweet, warm and had the right amount of vinegar. Be careful not to inhale as you take your first bite (speaking from experience) the vinegar will hit the back of your throat. The red cabbage compliments the schnitzel very well with the vinegar cutting what would otherwise be a food coma inducing dish. There was even room for cream puffs!( which 6 people shared) The cream puffs were very light and refreshing. My favorite was the coffee! It was the perfect thing to end the meal with.

Went here to try the cream puffs and I'd say they were very good. The cream filling was outstanding but the puff part was a touch underwhelming to me. It wasn't bad and maybe my expectations were high based on the reviews but I expected it to be a bit more flavorful and slightly crisper. I would definitely eat one again and can see why people recommend, just providing my opinion.

Perhaps it’s just my unfamiliarity with German cuisine, but I honestly found every dish difficult to enjoy at this restaurant. I’m sorry to say that I must rate the food poorly. Despite the excellent service and wonderful atmosphere, a restaurant’s foundation should be its food. Therefore, I can only give it three stars.

This place is simply iconic. I'm not much for German food, but I do like sausages and pretzels and so I can get by here. The food is great, the crowd on a Saturday was insane. However, they have a texting notification so our 75 minute wait for a table was spent at the book loft down the street
Downtown in Columbus is the central hub for business, entertainment and culture, encompassing Uptown, Arena and Discovery districts. The Ohio Statehouse stands as the anchor to this area of corporate towers and theaters. Visitors can explore a variety of dining experiences ranging from brewpubs to cocktail bars. A scenic stroll along Scioto Mile leads visitors to Bicentennial Park where they can enjoy a striking fountain display or attend performances at the pavilion.
The restaurant 94th Aero Squadron features an American theme and offers a chophouse-style menu with dishes like buffalo chicken wraps and bacon wrapped Dates. Sunday buffets are also available for those looking to indulge in American cuisine. The restaurant is located on a runway overlooking John Glenn Columbus International Airport, giving guests an amazing view of airplane traffic.
Excellent brunch. Attentive staff. Nice view of runway of John Glenn International (CMH). Decor is a mix of WW1&2. The P-51 needs to be restored.

This place has been here forever and occupies a spectacular historic building located in a prime area… but the building itself has proven to be it’s major flaw… although very a cool venue, it’s dilapidated and smells musty and is too costly to remediate. The food is very good, and the ambiance is amazing. They will be closing in June of 2023, but stay tuned for them to reopen in a different venue sometime in the future.

Despite being short-staffed and hosting a party upstairs, our service was very good. My prime rib was good, and the Sizzling Sirloin were also. The atmosphere for here has always been on point. It will be a sad day when June 19th dawns and the 94th Aero Squadron will not be here.

This was my husband and Is first time here and after reading some of the other reviews I’m surprised. When we first arrived we were the only ones there and they sat us by the window, the view was great. I started off with a Manhattan and it was fabulous. They give you complementary bread and we found ours to be tasteless, very hard & stale (but my husband ate it anyway).
We had the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and the dish is kind of perplexing. It comes out in an escargot baking dish so they are hotter than the surface of the sun when you try to take a bite. I didn’t taste any mushroom or crab just a bunch of cheese on top of what might have been a mushroom slice. Not my fave.
My husband and I shared a surf & turf and it was actually a lot better than it looked so we were very happy.
We decided to drink our dessert(s) and were very fond of all.
Our waitress was wonderful! My husband is a talker and she had no problem keeping up a conversation with us while also providing quick and excellent service.
And do I even have to mention the decor? It’s epic.

Wonderfully unique restaurant situated between runways of Columbus International Airport. Between all of the WWI and WWII antiques and memorabilia and the old French farmhouse building and the 1940's music playing in the background this place is one of the coolest restaurants I've eaten at.

For those wondering, the 94th Aero Squadron is open through June 18, 2023. So, take in this quirky French-Normandy farmhouse-style 'auberge' while you still can! Come for the atmosphere and the view of landing and leaving planes, then enjoy old-school pressed tablecloths and decent fare. My husband craved a prime rib dinner and they delivered. I had the sizzling steak, cooked perfectly medium-rare though needed seasoning. The bread and sides (mashed potatoes, fries and vegetable medley) were good but not great. We paired our entrées with the house cab-sav, which was fine. We were too full for dessert, though the crème brûlée looked delicious. Our server was professional, friendly and efficient. As others have stated, yes, the place is a little tired (as is the owner/hostess), but you can still make lasting memories in this curious 'établissement.' Like the famous Kahiki which once stood only three miles away (and long gone when we moved to the area), the 94th Aero Squadron harks to an era of large, welcoming, themed restaurants to be experienced on special occasions. After our meal, we poked around the WW1 & 2 memorabilia. The owner told us that for Sunday brunch, you need to reserve two weeks out. They’re still hosting Friday night swing dances and occasional other live entertainment. Though this was only our third or fourth visit in over 20 years, we might return once more before they close permanently. You can, too!

It was a cold and blustery night, and the warm light in the window welcomed us in. It truest is like stepping back in time-the pieces depicting the WWI and WWII times are so realistic, one can imagine sliding up to a fireplace after the chill of the countryside. We scored a fireside table. It was dark and could only imagine watching planes take off and land with better light. The service was friendly and professional, and the delivery of the sizzling steak was just that-visually sizzling! Great place to come for a quiet dinner. The background music was nice and appropriate. We commented that the dining room reminded us of the Inn from “White Christmas”. Very old school

It has a old feel to it but we love places like that so did not mind it at all.

Tonight I had my first time experience at the 94th Aero Squadron. Walking into the restaurant was a trip back in time and nostalgia. Once one of the top restaurants in Columbus in the late 80s and 90s. Today the atmosphere is preserved and the service was focused on dinning details that included white table cloth and romantic candles with a view of Port Columbus International runway. Our server Sharon informed us she's worked there since 1992. She's experienced a lot of change and enjoys seeing the patrons that she waited on as kids come in with their own children. The food was comfort and the house Manhattan was so delicious. I had 3😅
Highly recommend coming for the experience, service and food.

One star for the atmosphere. Really the only reason to go. And the other star for the buckeye pie. Seems its the only food worth getting. The food wasn't "bad". It was edible. Just not good. Service was fine. She took our order and brought our food, timely. She just didn't seem like a "people person".
Goodale Park is a large, Victorian-era park in the Short North that features a playground, tennis courts, and skyline views. The park is popular for locals to enjoy summer shade and walk their dogs.
Beautiful park, but can get a little crowded (I was here on Memorial Day weekend). Beautiful fountain, nice walking trails. Gazebo is gorgeous, perfect for photo shoots. Yes, there are a couple of homeless people living in the park, it looks like, but I didn't get bothered -- I'd still stay aware though.
Lots of families in the park, lots of dogs, very family friendly and kid friendly - lots of playgrounds. Great place to spend an afternoon.

It is a beautiful Park where you can walk amongst trees, you can sit and watch the huge fountain that sits in the middle of a beautiful pond. There are several benches around the pond. There's a playground for the children. I just found it the other day and I've been there 3 times since then.

Beautiful, large park with lots of sidewalk areas, perfect for walking with a stroller. It was busy the day we went as the weather was nice and it was a weekend. Many dogs were off leash, but did seem well behaved. The fountain is lovely and it was nice to look at the fish, ducks, and geese.

Went to Goodale Park for the first time while in Columbus visiting relatives. This park is the first public park in Columbus and is 170 years old. Established in 1851 it has weathered the years well and is still a gem glittering inside the city. Amenities abound, this is a park for everyone with many paved paths and mature specimen trees. The whimsical fountain in the lake is a showpiece. I hope you enjoy it as do many of the residents living in the area surrounding the park.

This was a beautiful park in Columbus. I had a few hours to wonder around and chose to walk here. I'm glad I did. The park was gorgeous, clean, and had a wonderful pond and statue. Definitly walk through and use this space to chill when in Columbus.

A beautiful park to stroll around - a fountain, a pond, a gazebo, playground area, plenty of spring blossoms - perfect to enjoy with a sip of ice coffee on a sunny spring day! I used to remember this park being dirty, years ago. But I'm surprised to find that it wasn't the case. The pond was also quite clean. There are plenty of metered parking spots around, which are free on Sundays!

I love Goodale Park. I love the fountain it's very beautiful and the elephants symbol good luck. Their is plenty of parking close to the park. I saw plenty of people walking their dogs and also people who were fishing. Nice place to just sit and enjoy the view or have lunch.

It’s a nice park. There’s a huge pond with a beautiful fountain and a nice walking path around it. Park is in the middle of the busy city, it was clean for the most part but there was a bit of trash outside of the little play-sets which are kinda small but overall nice.

Really like this park and the family did too. The kids liked playing in thr play ground and running around all over. This park has a cool little pond and a very beautiful building right in the middle. There are some tennis courts but we forgot to bring our rackets. We did notice that there are alot of different trees all through the park. Very cool to see the leaves changing on half of them. If we're in the area we will stop buy again.

Goodale Park is one of the best parks in Columbus. Just north of downtown it is to the Short North and Victorian Village that Schiller Park is to German Village.Goodale Park has all of the amenities that you would expect from one of the best parks in Columbus. It has a baseball diamond, basketball court, tennis courts, walking paths, a pond with a fountain, historical markers telling you the history of the park, playground equipment, shelter house, gazebo and much more.

The Boat House Restaurant is a Downtown Columbus restaurant with amazing views of the skyline. It offers fresh seafood-driven dishes and delicious appetizers that reflect the fun-focused atmosphere of Columbus. The restaurant is created by Shane Mueller and his culinary team, who also create the menus for Prime Steaks, Gourmet Burgers, Fresh Seafood Platters, Savory Dishes and Salads. Guests can dine indoors or out on the charming patio while taking in all of the incredible views.
My wife and I can’t say enough good things about this establishment. We hosted our ceremony and reception at the boat house ten years ago. It was a seamless night, they took care of everything. We still get compliments for having such a great view during the reception. We visited every year on our anniversary for a delicious dinner. I would mention we married here and the manager always took great care of us. A few years back the restaurant closed and we haven’t been able to visit. For our tenth anniversary he helped me make it a night my wife wouldn’t forget with a private dinner for two. Great food, great view, and great management.

Our ceremony at The Boathouse was beautiful. Our only downfall was the communication was lacking during the planning process. Our initial coordinator left the company, so we went several weeks with no contact person. We were eventually reassigned, but our new contact person was significantly less attentive than our first person. The company also wrote on the calendar that our rehearsal began 30 minutes later than what our contract stated. The coordinator was meeting with other clients, so we were forced to wait the 30 minutes to begin. We originally requested to have the bar closed during our ceremony, but it was opened as a cash bar (although it’s not what we planned, this ended up being a wonderful surprise as it was 95 degrees out and our guests really needed something to drink!) Once things started though, the rehearsal and ceremony ran beautifully. Overall, I would recommend this venue, but encourage you to just remember they got things covered and it will be beautiful and perfect (even if you aren’t sure what’s happening during some of the planning phase)

I am reviewing a reception of 150 people for our daughter's recent wedding. Ed, Debbie, and the entire Boat House crew provided a first class event. They even wowed the East Coast crowd with the quality of food, service, and range of gathering spaces. The ballroom was gorgeous. Really nothing at all negative. Ed guided us through the process with kindness, humor, and wisdom.
Topping it all off was a sunset golden illumination of the buildings in downtown Columbus.
From a personal perspective, Debbie, the service captain was attentive, humorous, and a marvelous dancer!

Great food and great atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your next celebration. I had my Mom's 85th birthday party with about 30 guests. Its been a long time since I have experienced this kind of service. 5 stars for sure

We had my son's wedding there recently. The roomwas beautiful. The food was excellent and so.was the service. And Edward was so helpful with the planning and keeping things organized on "the day". We didn't even need a wedding planner. We had both the wedding and reception there. This is no longer a restaurant- now a special events venue. I would highly recommend this for a corporate event or wedding. And the view if the downtown Columbus lights at night made a perfect backdrop!

Going there for 614 Restaurant Week and I am very pleased with the overall experience and ESPECIALLY the food. Oh dear goodness, the food was delicious - not one of us [of 4] had a negative thing to say about our dishes! Our primary server seemed very stressed [and with not that many people in the restaurant....maybe she was fresh out of orientation? I mean, who hasnt been in those shoes before?!?!] but our food was served hot and the manager, William, was attentive and engaging. I love it when people are proud of the foodx history of their restaurant, and are willing to share information! He told us about the history of the damning of the river and how now, there's a significant variety of wildlife because the dams were taken down along with the origins of the restaurant itself. All very satisfying and not just hype...while there, we saw a heron and a bald eagle!!! I have zero doubt we would have seen more if we hadn't been engrossed in conversation ;-)
Overall, this will be one of my go-to recommendations for people who want QUALITY food and a great environment!

I made reservations although I don't think we needed them. The restaurant wasn't crowded being a Wednesday. It worked out well though. Our server was very attentive as well as knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent. The Gouda Mac n cheese was fantastic. The server was great. It was definitely a positive dining experience and I will probably return. Oh, the few of the rivers is definitely worth it.

My first visit there at an evening event. There were two events that evening. The way the building is laid out there was no conflict between the different groups. The staff was very quick to serve the tables and polite. The facility is very nice including the restrooms.

Went to a association meeting and the atmosphere and service was excellent. The staff was harmonious in their delivery of lunch and made sure plates were taken promptly. One small critique just to be picky would be that there was one set of sconces on the wall that were not lit up and a few of the chairs at our table were inches smaller than the rest. Everything was prepared and tasted great!

William (Manager) saved this from being a 2 star review. Restaurant week- they only served restaurant week menu. Ok. But for a $30 menu, the portion sizes on app could have been a bit more.
Crab cake- nothing special. Had shells.
Mussels- outstanding, needed more.
Trout- was good until...more shells in crab stuffing.
Shrimp pasta- "didn't know if I was eating pasta or having a glass of chardonnay" fit this to a T. Shrimp was large but sauce was very wine flavored.
Chicken- amazing and delicious.
Dessert- NO PANNA COTTA. William TRIED SO HARD to make it better. We applaud and appreciate his efforts.
Cheesecake- Amazing.
Overall- chairs were stained like a small child had an accident, had to check for wetness bc it looked wet.
Waitstaff NEED TO SMILE. We tried so hard to chat our server up, cut jokes. They barely responded, was all business and we waited some time for refills.
I've been here for several large events and was always impressed with food and service.
This visit for dinner was a bit of a disappointment.
The National Veterans Memorial and Museum is a beautiful, historic building that honors all branches of the United States Military. The museum has timelines, artifacts, photos, and remembrances of veterans who have served in every branch of the military. The views of downtown Columbus are beautiful and peaceful, providing a place for reflection as well as learning about American history.
This is the first national museum for All who have served in the United States Military, and are now called a Veteran. Completed in 2018. It opened its doors to the public. This is a fantastic contribution to all of our Veterans who have ever served. There is also a small scavenger hunt for kids. You go and walk around trying to find key points and images or items that are being told around the center.
There are three levels. As you come in the doors, which you have to walk up a ramp on the East side of the building. As you open the doors, you are greeted with a delightful welcome. You can either pay inside or prepay on the website. All Veterans are free. Kids I believe are $5 and Adults are $10. You are start on the right and walk around until you make a complete circle.
As you end the walk, there is a staircase going down to an area that talks about specific Veterans and tells a little about their story. As you make your way across and around to the right, there is also a little room for any Veteran to tell their story if they wish!
But wait.. there’s more..
As you make your way up the stairs or elevators, you have an opportunity to go to a third deck. Here .. is a special occasion and opportunity to witness the beauty of all the colors. Beautiful stain glass windows and doors of multiple ribbons that Veterans receive while in service to country! You can even go outside on top of the roof and see the great city of Columbus!
Lastly, there is a quiet and meditation garden around the back end of the building. When you go in, ask about it! It really is a neat place for quietness.
Oh.. one more thing.. if you live in the Columbus area, and are interested in “Jujitsu”, this building has a basement as well. Ask about it and come join a team of professionals that will help build many inspirations for a great mind set of self disciple and respect.

Was in town to go to a show and thought this would be worth a stop. There was no wait and the staff was very pleasant. I enjoyed talking with the veteran volunteers. Took us about 45 minutes to take everything in. It was kind of a shame that we were the only 2 there. Parking lot is located nearby.

An incredibly well-done and touching museum focusing directly on the men and women who have served in the armed forces.
There are not a lot of artifacts on display as the museum focuses instead on the servicemembers themselves and their stories. Sit down, relax, and watch the videos that play throughout the museum. Read the letters.
The building itself is gorgeous, as is the view from the top of the museum

Sen. John Glen was instrumental in bringing the National Veterans Memorial and Museum to Columbus, Ohio. Presents the history and is a tribute to those men and women who have served. Beautiful and symbolic use of color and light representing military insignia. Veterans have no entry fee.

Plan to spend an hour and a half to 2 hours here. Lots of information to read and listen to. They change displays on the bottom floor about every 6 months or so. There is a wheelchair entrance on the bottom floor and an elevator to take you to the main floor and top floor. The top floor is a small floor in memory of soldiers who gave all.

My husband is a retired veteran and I always want to learn about his experiences- and about our great country. So when he suggested a visit - we went.
We were greeted at the front door by a retired veteran (Jim). Not only did he share quite a bit about this amazing place, but gave us the feeling of belonging.
I must admit, there were a few places that I felt a tear or two.
We also went outside to the memorial gardens and waterfalls. Lovely.

Google maps turned me into a monthly rate parking only lot. To leave there is no left turn. So I went straight at light and turned around. Short walk to the entrance. The parking is $8 with variables. It has a nice round layout. Nice and clear info on signs. The second floor gives a nice overview to entrance floor. Roof walk gives a city view and a peak to the memory gardens. That is accessible by an outside ramp. So peaceful and nice waterfall sounds.

Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery is a historic site in Columbus, Ohio that served as a military training facility during the Civil War. Over 26,000 Confederate prisoners were interned here at some point before its closure in 1865. The cemetery, which underwent renovations in 1893, features a wall and a central boulder inscribed with the number of soldiers buried there. Despite being redeveloped, the cemetery still stands with 2,260 graves.
Thank you Ohio! After the “Terrorist Attack” on the cemetery last fall, the new security team is no second-string rent-a-cop unit. I felt safe with their attentive overlook of the site. Park in the Diary Twist to the east (right) of the front entrance.

Nice , clean well maintained civil war cemetery . I have been there at dusk and could feel a certain feeling hard to explain. Being from the south I feel a camaraderie with the brave men buried here. Only four stars due to the fact that now instead of putting a small confederate flag next to each grave marker on Memorial day, the people in charge buckled to pressure from the liberal city " leaders" and replaced them with small American flags. Kind of a oxymoron due to the whole war between the States thing. I am a very proud American but let's keep it real. I could swear I hear them rolling over in their graves every Memorial day.

This is a national cemetery containing the remains 2,260 prisoners of war from the confederacy. Parking on the street is allowed, but not advised because Sullivant Ave. is usually busy. The only entrance is from Sullivant Ave, and the gate has steps with no ramp. The markers are spaced closely, and there are no footpaths inside. There are also no significant monuments inside that you can't see from the sidewalk.
Aaron Serfass — Google review
Well maintained, but the headstones are merely that - headstones. I have a relative there and I can tell you based of historic documents, the remains under each stone are suspect as these were moved from unmarked and mass graves during the operation of this criminal operation against Americans of the South. Andersonville was cruel, but Chase and Elmira were inhumane. Prisoners were often doused with icy water during the bitter winters, starved, beaten and left to survive on what they could scrounge. The last commander of Chase was much better than his predecessors, but hundreds still died unnecessarily.

I like camp chase because it is home to the graves of many soldiers who lost their lives defending this country against people who were trying to threaten our way of life. They were jealous of our ability to live freely. Without their sacrifice we may not have had the freedoms we are privileged to have. God bless all of you for your sacrifice and enjoy your time with GOD.

Great museum! My son is going off to basic training for the Air Force this summer after graduation. Because of this I thought it would be awesome to do some of his senior pictures here. I called to find out if that would be ok but was told no. I don’t quite understand if we are paying to come in why we can’t have a few professional shots done especially for a young man about to embark on his journey of serving the U.S. I wasn’t asking to in free take pics and leave. I wanted to pay for our 3 admissions, explore and learn and get pics done at the same time. Very disappointed I couldn’t do this for my son.

I was absolutely looking forward to this! I have an addiction to candles, seriously. I also love making candles! I have been to this shop before but that was when it was the Candle Lab. I admit, I like this more. Now, parking is a bit cramped but there are other parking areas near. When you walk in, the place smells amazing and it's so nice and light inside. The decor is minimal which is very nice. The staff is polite, helpful, and is nice to chat with. They help you start the process by giving you a small clipboard with a pen and paper. You put your information in too and date it. Below that is a large space to write down what scents you fine appealing for your candle or diffuser. They have a very nice selection of scents to choose from. After you pick you scents, you go pick out your container for candle or pick up the diffuser set. Go back to the table or counter and they will help you choose the rights scents to combine for what you want your candle to smell like. I wanted a nice Fall scented one. I chose bourbon, campfire, and pumpkin spice. Sadly at the time they were out of apple and 2 other scents I was interested in. That will be next time, hopefully. But after mixing the oils bit by bit in the one silver measuring cup, you come up with your scent and you do it yourself. You pour that into the wax, mix well and pour it into your candle glass. You have to let it for a few hours. You can leave and come back to get your candle or pick it up the next day.
I had a lot of fun doing this and I will be going back. My only critique? Is for the to staff to relax a bit more and have fun with us.

This is a great candle making experience for friends and family. It was really interesting picking out all my favorite scents and then creating my own unique candles with them. The candles burn very clean and smell amazing. Most importantly, the staff is incredible!! Shanna and Mikey are so friendly and kind to talk to. We had a lot of fun with them and plan on coming back in the future.

Came here to make a Christmas gift for my boss and the experience was delightful! It's super easy. You get friendly staff to walk you through it, and you can choose from any number of scents to combine to make your very own fancy candle. You pay per container and the staff will bag your goods to be picked up after a set time has passed to settle the wax. Thank you all so much! I know she will love it.

This is a fun sensory experience. They have more scents than you could imagine. You can mix and match and the scents combination possibilities are limitless. I like that they have many masculine scents which was a surprise and a plus. I winded up mixing orange and vanilla and it was brilliant. This is a great date location if you'd like to try something different. My girl and I trades scents and now when she's not around I have a fresh memory as her smell is with me.

Overall the experience itself was fun! Picking out scents and making candles but the girls working were not friendly at all, rushed us. Didn’t seem like they enjoyed being there and interacting with customers.

Went to pour some candles with friends and one of the employees was not friendly and quite frankly, rude. She made us seem like a burden which took away from the experience sadly. I have enjoyed my other times making candles, but will not be returning to this location.
Taylor Edwards — Google review
Rude staff. Don’t come here unless you want to feel like you’re a bother to the people working. It’s an odd expectation to ask customers to tip for little to no customer service provided during the candle making experience.
Unfortunately this is enough to deter me from coming to this location again. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I am happy with the scent I created.

Fantastic candle making experience and perfect date idea!! The assistant that helped us was excellent; she gave us great suggestions and our candles came out smelling fabulous. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Great experience for a bachelorette party! The employees did such a wonderful job of explaining the process, the scent selection is vast, and I liked the vessel options. Can't wait to see if my candle smells as good as it did in the beaker! 😊

The Book Loft of German Village is a labyrinth bookstore that offers an unmatched selection of books. The 32 rooms make up this store and offer more books than a local library. It is a popular place to buy books for people who love to browse and find the perfect book to take home.
This is the most amazing bookstore I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few bookstores in my day. It's like a maze walking through all the different rooms and levels of this building. It's definitely an organized chaos. And don't forget to grab a map when you walk in the door so you can see how it's all laid out. Look for the bargains. They have lots of half price off items and discounted items where I got some great finds for the younger children in my life. They also sell t-shirts, bags, bookmarks cards, stickers, posters... Anything literary or book related you could ever want. Definitely check out this place
Aimee Robidoux — Google review
A warm, cozy bookstore in the beautiful, leafy neighborhood of German Village, right besides a coffee place is the perfect place to be on any day! Navigating the 32 rooms filled with books is a paradise for any book lover. You will be able to find books of almost all genres. Would recommend to have some books, or atleast the genre of books, in mind before visiting the bookstore as it can be overwhelming looking at the shear amount of books. Expect to spend atleast an hour to hour and a half to be able to properly browse through the massive book collection. There are various help desks available with friendly staff for guidance. While there are benches outside the bookstore there is no space, other than small stools in various corners, to read at leisure inside the bookstore. I personally did not have a problem with it but one thing to keep in mind is that the bookstore can feel cramped and crowded especially on a busy day.
Overall a great place to explore and buy some amazing books!
Owee Angare — Google review
Wow, this bookstore is amazing! 32 rooms chock full of books, granted, the rooms are mostly quite small, but I think they said they have over half a million books out at all times! Great selection in all categories, and I was pleasantly surprised by their prices. Save money and have more fun versus buying your books on Amazon!
Kevin Horst — Google review
Go here. This place is amazing. Photos will not show how absolutely jam-packed this place is with shelves of books that form a delightful maze of narrow halls and surprise staircases. They have 32 rooms crammed into a long house in the German village with each room, roughly, containing a genre of book. Some rooms are bigger than others, like the kids section, or the fantasy and scify area. Go early if it's a weekend because they will start metering entry when it gets too busy. There are books spilling out onto the ally, though, so there are still tables to look through outside. Just a minor warning: you will get cozy with everyone in the store as you squeeze past each other. Still, go here. It's an absolute banger of a bookstore.
Will Dorrell — Google review
Fantastic! Overwhelming (in the best way) with more than 30 rooms of books. Not to mention the additional fabulous gifts, including socks, tote bags, stickers, bookmarks, t-shirts, games, stationary, postcards, clocks and more! The staff are incredibly friendly and can provide a store map (you’ll need it!). Definitely check it out if you’re in town and nearby. You’ll want to return for several more hours to explore (I know I do!) 📚

The Book Loft on 3rd Street is exactly what I needed. You have to climb a pretty long side path to get to the back of the store which is actually the front for them.
Their big draw is that they have 32 rooms. Some are the size of a closet, and others maybe as big as a large bathroom. There are so many books, puzzles, kid tours, and cool bookmarks that there is no way that I saw everything in my 40 minute visit.
I took a short video of some cute little clocks. It's only a couple seconds. Take a look.
I think they were at least four or five different stairways inside. I absolutely got turned around at least twice, but what better place to be lost, than inside a bookstore? 🤷
I ended up finding six or seven things that I was interested in, but only walked out with one. So in theory I saved money right? Right?

32 small cozy rooms of books with subjects from A=Z . Store was packed with customers and the shelves were filled tightly with books. There was a children's book area as well. There are calendars, journals, etc as well as a fair aamount of posters , t-shirts, and the like. A fun place to browse and shop. Nice to see a clearly thriving bookstore.
Jeffrey OConnell — Google review
First off, the store itself is in a nice area and has plenty of benches for outside on-site reading. Plus, the way they have the books organized and the sheer amount of books they have is awesome! Thankfully, there are written guides available when you walk in that tells you which wing and rooms each genre is in as well.
Still, it was small staircases, tight spaces, and a lot of people. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so crowded, and with the continued prevalence of covid, I didn't feel comfortable enough to linger too long.
Also, for a thrift store, I was disappointed with the prices as they were pretty much market prices with like 5% off. Don't get me wrong, the book quality was like new, but I felt the prices were comparable to Barnes & Noble.

This was one of the places I knew I had to visit in Columbus. I could have spent hours here, searching every nook and cranny, but my husband's book store attention span is about an hour, tops.
If you are a true fan of bookstores, you could spend a whole afternoon here and still not see it all.
I absolutely loved my experience here and would recommend stopping by if you are in the city.

Loved the book loft! Definitely a book lovers dream. It was nice to walk through the rooms browsing the books. Many were discounted and so I didn’t feel too bad grabbing a few. 10/10 must see in Columbus
Brittany Sandoval — Google review
Use strategy with this store! 😉 Plan ahead! There are close quarters and lots of books 📚 to see. If I could experience my first visit all over again, I would do a brief walk through the levels and rooms noting the room number or snapping a picture of the places to come back and spend more time. I would not sift the shelves to take it all in again because I got worn out before I saw everything. That made the last few rooms a rush through. It’s best to plan your expectations for visiting The Book Loft ahead of time. It may be crowded. You may be asked to accommodate establishment requests like wearing a mask on occasion, no fire arms, no large shopping bags 🛍️ from the other shopping sprees of the day. It’s a 💎 gem though. I bought five great books and several were new releases and a few were on sale as well. Definitely a bargain book 📖 store. Enjoy! 😊

I truly can't say enough about this place. It has the most amazing selection of books and the best prices you can find. A cool little gem of Columbus and the German village. Located in a cute and walkable neighborhood. Watch out for some of the cobble stones as the sidewalks aren't always maintained for safety. There is a coffee shop next door. Be ready to wait in a line, even in the winter. Once you get in, there are lots of rooms to explore.
Worker recommended coming later in the evening as the store quiets and is open until 11pm.
Good selection of books. Some reasonable prices. All new books. Take a map when you get in. All the rooms are numbered which helps to explore.

A great place to spend some time. We stayed a couple of hours and we didn't even realize it ! The only downside is that the new books or any books that are marked 5% are actually cheaper by a dollar or 2 on Amazon. So the books with the sticker are actually cheaper elsewhere.
The other books are a real bargain and really great priced. We went on a Sunday and it was crowded. The bookshop is like a maze and we loved spending time there. It's a great place and must visit if you are in the area. The coffee shop right next door makes it a great addition.
Dilu Namaratne — Google review
This is a maze of a book store for sure, but for lovers of books you won’t be disappointed, it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for. So many books, games, posters, new and vintage, all genres you can imagine. The Book Loft isn’t really a cozy spot to sit and read a book, but they’ll be glad to help supply the book side of that equation.

It's a book store...what's not to love. The selection is amazing there will be something for everyone. We have a family member that is a massively into D&D. I asked what he wanted and was told everything! There are games, puzzles, journals, just about everything you could want. We have been several times and this is the first there was a line to get in.. Don't let that put you off it moves fast.

What an absolutely lovely bookstore. If you're in the area, definitely do yourself the service of checking it out. An extensive assortment of all lierary types as well as art and a variety of fun items for purchase, including items from local artisans and retailers. Very reasonably priced. We found something for everyone in the family, a great many things for my teenager. Who was over the moon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop in while on our spring break day trip to Columbus, Ohio. Sadly, I did not get to meet "the cat."

First time here, so many amazing rooms jam packed full of books. It was great to experience and I had a nice time with friends but I am a little disappointed because after going home and taking stickers off, I realized that the book was up charged. It wasn't a lot more but still upsetting.
The Worthington Inn is a restaurant situated in a historic 1831 building, providing refined cuisine and a pub decorated in Victorian style. The dining rooms are filled with antiques, and the menu offers dishes like New Zealand rack of lamb and grilled salmon. It's located about 15 miles north of Downtown. Additionally, Huntington Park provides seating options for groups to watch games played by the Columbus Clippers, while Nationwide Arena hosts Columbus Blue Jackets hockey games during fall or winter seasons.
Great dinner! We went during Restaurant Week, so the dishes we got may be different from the standard menu, but I'm guessing they were still representative of the quality. I would say the best part was the fresh berry crepes for dessert, but the smoked salmon chowder was quite good too, and I really liked the way the potatoes were cooked. Interior was nice and service was good. It's probably a little overpriced, but not outrageously so.

The food was great and the waitstaff were so attentive, even before our event started. Would definitely recommend this as a great event space!

Confluence Park is home to The Boat House, a waterfront restaurant offering stunning views of downtown Columbus and the skyline. Situated at the confluence of the Olentangy and Scioto Rivers, it provides an amazing setting for dining by candlelight on its deck-like patio with wooden floors. I had my wedding here in September of 2019. I worked for months with one of the wedding planners and everything looked great. But the actual day of the wedding the wedding planner hands everything off to an operations manager that knows nothing about what you want and screws every detail up. When I brought it up with the general manager after the wedding, he didn’t apologize, didn’t care for my feelings and wrote it off as me wing dramatic. So I HIGHLY recommend to find someplace else to do your wedding at. They don’t care about you here just your money.

My wife and I had our first date at Confluence Park. It was a great experience and we both truly enjoyed the evening. We wanted to take our friends to a nice restaurant, our first thought was Confluence Park. We were VERY disappointed. Our server acted like we were bothering her by being there. The food was very overpriced with no sides offered with the entrée. Our friends’ steaks were overcooked one was actually burnt. Our server didn’t offer drink refills. We only saw her twice, walking by, during dinner.
The décor that we remembered was all gone, no table cloths or other things that one would expect for a “3.7 star” establishment. We were concerned when we entered the parking lot and there were only about 6 cars there. Now we know why.
The view is very nice, but that is the only thing that this venue has to offer.
We would not recommend this restaurant.

The greeting staff was very customer friendly. It was my 1st visit to the restaurant so I didn't know I needed a reservation, however the staff accommodated me and seated at the bar. No server was never assigned to me. I was on my on after being seated. The 1st. serving of crab legs were cold. My bacon was cold. I had a Mammosa and asked for another and he refilled my glass instead of giving me a new one. The lady who cashed me out didn't appear to believe that I didn't have a server. My experience here was not the best. My chances of returning is null. The Hollywood Casino has a much better seafood buffet on Friday with greater quality of food. They have prime rib as well. The cost is less. For the money 👎. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was very excited to go but after my visit I was highly disappointed.

They have done an outstanding job with preserving this historical neighborhood. I took the walking tour with David and learned so much! It is clean, pretty, and centrally located, and the staff is usually very helpful. Parking can be a bit tricky, but you can usually finds somewhere within a few blocks.

We hosted a birthday party at the German Village Meeting House (Oct 2017). The coordinator was very helpful in every way! He also provided a list of local areas to assist with parking, as parking is limited in the area. The Meeting Haus provided chairs and tables that we set up. There's a refrigerator and counters for prep, but no oven or way to heat or cook things. Which is fine. It was a really great space. We received many compliments on finding a great location. I would highly recommend using this space. I believe this is a non-profit and all proceeds go to helping with the German Village Society.
If you're looking for a fun family activity in Columbus that you can't find anywhere else, take a tour of the American Whistle Corp. There, kids will learn about the history and use of whistles from thousands of years ago to police officers and sports coaches today. You'll also have a blast experiencing the exciting activities on site like making your own whistle!
In town for work. Had some free time and was looking for something to do. Never would have guessed that the only metal whistle factory in the US was here. The factory was smaller then I thought for how many whistle they make a year. $10 for the tour. You do need to check the website and get tickets in advance. Super kid friendly tour. The guy giving to tours was did a great job. For three bucks they let you make your own custom whistle. If you’re in the area and looking to do something different and unique you should definitely stop in.

They are very friendly, great business. We did the tour as a preschool group, and while the kids loved the machines and working factory, there was a lot of other information and comments that went over their head. My older kids who were also there (and LOVE "How it's Made") really enjoyed the whole tour. The toddlers (2 and under) had a REALLY hard time since they obviously couldn't run around and the tour takes an hour. There isn't a lot of movement in the tour... It's more of a turn and look at this machine, turn and look at this machine, walk 10 feet and look at this machine. Overall, I would recommend it, but I wish they offered a shorter tour for little kids.

I loved it! Granted, it is a SMALL, WORKING factory, so it's not an all day event, but the guide was interesting and attention grabbing. Everyone was polite and the tour was enjoyable, and especially affordable. What a great operation, and even better it calls central Ohio home! Thank you!

Needed to kill some time before my flight and so glad I chose the American Whistle Corp. tour! Phil was a great tour guide! The perfect blend of attention-grabbing information and humor about a product I didn’t think I cared to know anything about before. The whistle making process almost follows the manufacturing era chronologically beginning with the good old fashioned press, following through automated soldering, cool cyclonic deburring, and plastic mold injection.
Was alone on this tour but the staff didn’t make me feel like this was an imposition. Phil was as excited to teach me about whistles as I became to learn as the tour increasingly engaged me until the climax where I was allowed to make my own custom whistle gifts out of various colors and even from a bag of unique color-change-out pieces. My kids now have one-of-a-kind whistles to commemorate a one-of-a-kind tour.

You don't have to be six years of age to appreciate an American factory. CEO Ray Giesse personally gave the tour, and his hospitality was unsurpassed, providing a whistle to all who took the tour and engaging in personal dialogue.

What a fun shop! They designed a suite of stationery for our home. The entire process was engaging and they were able to come up with something that felt fresh and unique. They have a nice selection of journals, notecards and letterpress posters.

Came here for a cabinet, ended up finding a great experience in making your own prints. This place is a great take on paper art, where they teach the arcane art of letterpress printing and design. A great shop with friendly, but busy, staff.

Making handmade coasters with the machines and ink right in front of you is a blast! The finished product is clean and beautiful, looks handmade yet professional. Would recommend!

Amazing spot for cards and gifts. Seeing how they use the press is awesome too!
The Olentangy Trail offers a diverse experience, with sections that take you through wooded areas and others that lead you right into the heart of downtown Columbus. The trail is well-maintained and provides picturesque views of the meandering Olentangy River. One particularly scenic stretch runs from S.R 104 to Whetstone Park, offering a memorable biking or walking experience.
The section of the Olentangy Trail that I walked today is from the North Broadway Low Head Dam to the Dodridge Street Low Head Dam.

3 stars due to the cracked and rough asphalt, which makes it uncomfortable for roller skating.
We went south first. North seemed a bit smoother but we didn’t make it very far due to shin pain from the south trail.
A beautiful nature trail for a walk or bike ride, but I wouldn’t recommend skating. Hopefully in the future it can be re-paved.

S.R 104 to Whestone Park, best part of the ride.

It can be so rare to find a trail that has a bit of everything. On one end of the trail, you’re biking through the woods and on the other, you’re biking through downtown Columbus! This is a great and very scenic trail! Can’t do it all in one trip.

This section of the trail in Worthington has both the paved bike trail and a mulched walking path. You'll find a few benches, a box where you can borrow a frisbee or ball, and access to a couple of playground areas.

My family was considering moving to Columbus (from the west coast). We asked Jeff if he could give us a private tour of some different areas. We were hoping for an insider's look into Columbus, and he delivered!
We asked Jeff lots of questions about the area, culture, and we learned a lot about Columbus' history as well.
We've lived in Columbus for four months now! And, we're so happy! We're so thankful for Jeff's perspective and his knowledge in helping us back this important decision. We're excited to go on his regular tours and keep learning about the area!

My work hired Jeff to do a private bus tour of downtown for a conference we were hosting. I was born in Columbus, and learned so many things on the tour. I felt we got to see all of the highlights, plus areas I had never been to. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and open to answering any question the group had. I really loved his passion for Columbus! Highly recommend - I'm going to suggest to my parents who lived in Columbus for years to go on the tour to see how much the city has changed.

Jeff is a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Even though I live in Columbus, I learned many things, and found the tour interesting. It's a driving tour, so is a good thing to do when you don't want to be walking outside, such as when it's raining. The tour started and ended on time. Nice adventure for when friends or relatives visit from out of town.

Had a great time on our Columbus city tour with Jeff. Extremely knowledgeable about Columbus and the history of Ohio. I would highly recommend! We visited the State House, Judicial Center and Nation Veterans Memorial and Museum. I would love to come back for Halloween and Christmas city lights tours!

My daughter and I took this tour for a 'staycation' and we loved it! I have lived in Columbus for more than half of my life and thought I already knew a lot about it's history and recent development - but I had barely scratched the surface. After this tour I have a renewed curiosity and love for Columbus and am looking forward to doing the tour again!

Jean, our guide, was fantastic. I had 5 things on my list i wanted to see and they were already on her tour schedule. But she also drove by the restaurant we were going to that evening so we would know where it was located. She was very knowledgeable about all things Columbus.
She gave us photo stops when we asked. I cant say enough about how great the tour was.
