The Philbrook Museum of Art is a world-renowned art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The building and grounds are stunningly beautiful, and the museum has an extensive collection of art from prehistoric to modern times. There are regularly scheduled special exhibits as well as opportunities for homeschool classes and Second Saturday events which are free for children 17 years old and younger.
Philbrook’s garden is absolutely stunning! I was taken aback at the beauty of the pristine landscaping! The inside exhibits were adequate. It may be better to visit when there’s a traveling exhibit for more variety. The gift shop is nice and well stocked! I can’t wait to come back and visit this museum!

Duration: 2-3 hours
Parking: ample free parking in a paid parking lot surrounding the mansion; however during special exhibits you have to park along the side of the street and it can be a bit tight.
Beautiful mansion home that was once owned by the family that founded Phillips gasoline stations. Today the museum is a curated collection of art ranging from native American to American landscapes European and modern. The highlight for us though was wandering the grounds in the beautiful manicured Gardens and fountains right outside the mansion. We spent about an hour in the Mansion itself viewing the permanent exhibit, and an hour and a half to two hours exploring the grounds.

Wow! What a VERY pleasant surprise. A friend had recommended this Museum if we had ever found ourselves in the area. Well...we were in the area, and it was a wonderful two hours spent strolling through beautiful well maintained gardens on the property, and admiring wonderful art and artifacts inside this beautiful structure. It's definitely worth spending a morning or afternoon visiting. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely love going here! I highly recommend going on a beautiful spring/ summer day so you can fully take in not just the amazing art, but the beautiful gardens as well! This mansion is absolutely stunning from all angles inside & out!

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing place!! No wait at all and the tickets are surprisingly cheap for such a beautiful and large museum. Their indoor and outdoor displays are very informative and interesting, and very pleasing to the eye. The outdoor yard area was my favorite, it was peaceful and well kept, perfect place to sit and enjoy a good book.

Amazingly diverse museum. Works of art from many different time periods, regions, genre...the house itself has amazing architecture and is art in itself. The gardens have plenty to explore and there are hands on crafts and activities for children as well.
Plan on being here for 3-4 hours easily and you will still feel like you haven't seen everything.
I definitely plan to make another trip or two.

My only regret is living in the Tulsa area and never visiting this place in the 20+ years I've been here. What a hidden gem!! So much to see and do...even for kids. The outdoor gardens are absolutely magical. I wanted to become a member as soon as l walked the area today.

I had an absolutely stunning experience at this museum, it’s genuinely the best one I’ve been to so far! Everyone that worked there was so kind and helpful, the garden and fountains are GORGEOUS, and there was such a wide variety of art. Please come here if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it!

Absolutely loved it here. It's so beautiful. So many wonderful exhibits to see. My favorite was the outside gardens. We visited on Sunday. Not too busy. We got $1 per person admission for having soonercare/wic/ebt cards. Staff was very kind and friendly. We had a great time. Thank you.

Me and my boys ages 9 and 14yrs of age had a FANTASTIC day at Philbrook. There was so much for them to do besides looking and learning about all the beautiful artwork. Outside the grounds were amazing, swings and fun little spots along the way. Our day was a successful memory making day!!♥️
Amber Burks — Google review
The grounds and building itself had wider artistic appeal than much of the collection. It's all individual preference at the end of the day, but I found much of the modern art kitschy and garish. The Renaissance and Native American art were a bright spot, with much of the other art being too eclectic and interpretive to hold universal appeal. If someone is only casually interested in art, there are better museums for them.

Absolutely stunning experience! 10/10 very clean and quiet place! Peaceful, no wait time! We went on a Wednesday around 4:00pm. Gorgeous gardens and stunning home and art!

Loved this art gallery set in a historic house with incredible gardens. We went on a Saturday. There were high-quality art supplies, clip boards, and easels available for patron use. We had a snack from the bar. The almond croissant was exceptional.
In the lower level of the gallery there is a room explaining the history of the land and house.
The visiting show was an interactive art exhibit encouraging play. While the Philbrooke collections showed a diverse selection ranging from Indigenous art, to Renaissance and contemporary pieces. Including even, an original Picasso.

Late September 2023 - The Philbrook Museum of Art is exceptional. I say this as someone who has seen many of the finest museums. A hidden gem in Southeast America, it's a must see in terms of its unique collection of paintings and artifacts in addition to their broad gardens, lush with exotic plants and water. If I lived here I would go all the time.
Visiting Grand Lake many times, residents of the Shangra La resort, Bartlesville and simply driving through the state to get here and there for over a decade, I'm grateful for the return visit to Oklahoma, which over a week's stay brought my companion and I so many nice experiences including the Philbrook Museum.

First visit to Oklahoma and so enjoyed the sense of community, inclusiveness and cultural offerings. In addition to Tulsa's numerous parks and family focused recreation venues is this amazingly beautiful museum bequeathed to the city by a industrial magnate. The art offerings are on par with big city city museums and tastefully presented. From Rembrandt to Monet. Don't miss this opportunity.

I have brought my family here to visit during the holidays for years! Their light displays are breathtaking! They have cozy little igloos outside, a concession stand, and a ton of places for spectacular photo opportunities. Inside, the art displays are always amazing as well and the entire museum has a welcoming and at the same time, mysterious, feeling to it. Exploring each room is one of my kids favorite parts.

I always wanted to visit the gardens during the spring and I was able to make it happen this year while there was an art in bloom exhibition going on. Hands down the best exhibition and gardens are truly a slice of Tuscany in Tulsa.

Nice collection and grounds. The collection is actually on the small side, but a lot of nice pieces. The building is really cool. Going on a nice day is the way to get the most out of the entrance fee though, since the grounds are really nice to walk around.

The gardens were so beautiful. Very well maintained. The property was actually nicer than the botanical garden. Being October makes it more impressive. Wasn’t overly crowded. Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was super cool, make sure you don’t miss it.

Great museum full of diverse art--see photos! Worth the admission fee.
If you can go during the holiday season in December, be sure to go to the Holiday light show. It is spectacular! See photos.

Enormous property, being your walking shoes. It is best enjoyed with a guided tour. We spend hours wondering around. Left me feeling like I missed something. However, we get to soak up the art, take a picture or 10. The house is lovely, I think the real treat for most is the gardens. The summer house distant have a pool and the cabin is cute. The further back in the property you go the less to see. Still spent about 4-5 hours here.
The Gilcrease Museum houses an extensive collection of art and artifacts from the American West and Native Americans. The museum is known for its large collection of Western art, as well as its historical manuscripts, antique maps, and anthropology collection. The museum is located just a short drive from downtown Tulsa.
We enjoyed this place immensely the amount of exhibits was varied and I going to say weird.. the gardens are fantastic and a great place to just enjoy. don't ask too many questions of the staff they are not all going to be history Majors.

Amazing and extensive native American collection, from points and simple tools to magnificent bead work on their clothing . Lots of old west artwork and other international art as well. Great prices, smaller, intimate rooms with a casual yet elegant feel that allows a great experience, beautiful grounds; well maintained and gorgeous, recommend for adults and family!. worth the trip!!

Great museum filled with Native American relics. We spent about 2 hours inside and wandering around the gardens. My boyfriend actually learned quite a bit about his ancestors. I loved the landscaping and the different themed gardens from all the ages. Definitely a must see if you’re in Tulsa.

Definitely worth a visit at least once. The museum is great, but the gardens and park don't get their due. A must see, the pictures do them no justice. The only disappointment in the gardens are the pre-columbian and Pioneer gardens, they need some attention. As for the museum, they've got several play corners for kids and an entire kid-focused exhibit down stairs. The masterwork and permanent collection of western and Native American art was stunning and interesting. It was great to see the bronze sculptures and the gigantic paintings. Recommended.

Some of the gardens were fantastic. It was so Peaceful there. The museum was great it had a large variety of paintings, photographs and sculpture. It's the best place to go to learn about art. Your kids will love it there. They have some activities today we made time capsule and it was soooooo fun. I would highly recommend this place.

Very nice museum and worth a visit. Artifact room on lower level has more artifacts than you could look at in a day with a wonderful interactive e-guided tour via a tablet you can carry with you as you go through this section. Upstairs has visiting exhibits and some wonderful bronze work by artists such as Remington. There are wonderful paintings and the gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. The current Pulitzer prize exihbit is very intense, you might not want to take small children through it. But do see it. It will move you.

The Gilcrease has a jewel of a collection I try to bring to the attention of non-Oklahomans. The Remington and Russell sculptures are a great set. There's a lot more range to the art, as a whole, than one expects.
Many of the American West paintings are great postcards of the period, forerunners of the action art/illustration of modern times.
Visit the awesome landscapes. Stand in front of Moran's massive Shoshone Falls, just close enough for it to fill your sight, and feel the vertigo and splendour.
There's a good interactive exhibit downstairs, a great glass-walled hall, and lots of things going on.
The Woody Guthrie Center is a museum and archive located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that celebrates the life and work of folk singer Woody Guthrie. The center features permanent exhibits on Guthries life, art and creative legacy, as well as the archives of his publishing company.
Excellent and educational. I am old enough to remember Woody and his music but did not know much about him. This museum does a great job of telling his story and displaying his music and writing. The display is well presented and the film is also well done. Takes a couple of hours
Parking on the street costs about $2 for 2 hours. Nice small gift shop but wish they had CDs of his music!

There are many reasons to recommend a visit, but the most powerful for me was the archival material written by Woody while he was in the hospital for Huntington's. These lyrics and poems eventually became the Mermaid Avenue project, and getting to see them in their original state was nearly overwhelming.

I visited in March and had a great time touring around the center. The museum staff is really terrific and it’s incredible how knowledgeable they are about Woody Guthrie and his life. They have a cool, virtual reality, despot experience that feels very real.
Woody Guthrie wrote 3000 songs and influenced countless musicians and songwriters. That fact just boggles my mind—so prolific!
His words have brought hope and pride to our nation. I know his songs have brought me joy and made me think. “If you ain't got the do re mi, boys, you ain't got the do re mi.”

This center does a great job of telling the story of Woody Guthrie. The introductory movie was especially good, was the virtual reality dust bowl experience. And I loved the Oscar Brand exhibit. I spent an hour, but I could have spent all day.

I never had a deep sense of appreciation for Woody beyond This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land. The words resonated with me when I was bored but never had a full sense of understanding or appreciation for how Woody viewed life. There was an animated gentleman who made sure to incorporate those viewing Woody to take in all of the features. He made us feel like we were to not just stare at ideas; rather, to experience them and relate our current world against what Woody saw. He was animated and attentive. I get to add Woody to my listening list and share with others. Extraordinary in many ways...

Sam was our guide that introduced us to the museum and was incredible. The museum is a little on the smaller end, but jampacked with really great content and is extremely interesting. At $12 a person, its well worth it. What he was far more than what most think of as a folksinger. I highly recommend stopping if you’re in Tulsa.
The Cave House is an interesting roadside attraction in Tulsa with a varied history. It is now a residence where private tours are available, with the owners providing information about the house's stories and collections.
I had a fascinating visit with Linda at the Cave House. The entire story of the cave is unbelievable. Linda was a perfect host, giving me the background, the inside story and some of the secrets of the individuals associated with the cave. She is enchanting and someone that is a perfect fit as owner of the cave!!! I highly recommend a visit to the Cave House if you are planning a trip to Tulsa! Wishing you all my best and much success Linda!

I really enjoyed my tour here. The history of the building is fascinating and the natural feeling of the building with the one of a kind decor was a nice mix in with all of Tulsa's Art Deco architecture. The stories were great, and I'd love to bring a friend the next time I'm in town.

We really enjoyed the tour and the stories. Linda was an amazing story teller with some light-hearted humor. She had a lot of history of the house and the prior owners. She told of how she acquired the home and a lot of the different things the house was used for as well. After her stories, we toured the home and saw some of her neat trinkets. She involves you in the house and after the tour, she had a little show and tell and had us sign her guest book. This is a must do if you have about 1.5 hours and are in the area. Plan ahead because tours are by reservation only.

On my recent road trip to Tulsa I stumbled upon this amazing little gem! Linda, the owner, was such a sweet, knowledgeable individual and it was interesting learning the history of this fun landmark. From the exterior you see this cave looking abode but even better is the inside! Once you go in and take the tour, there are so many little nooks and crannies filled with trinkets that Linda has collected over the years and you actually feel like you’re in another world! If you were in the Tulsa area, I would highly recommend stopping by and touring the cave house. Leave a key on the key tree, check out the bone-art collection, go down the slide, take a pic in front of the nest bed…a definite must see when in Tulsa!

Linda is lovely and her little house is such a quirky, cool part of Tulsa history!
What to expect -
Call or text to make an appointment
The tour is approximately one hour
The first part of the guided tour is sitting in the living area and Linda goes through the history of the home and old photos. Takes about 40 mins and she is a great story teller. The second part of the tour is going through the house, which is very small but lots to look at. The staircase is a "drunkard staircase" with uneven steps but there is a handle to assist. Lots to look at in the house, very kitschy and unique. Some antique and upcycled folk art type of stuff. At the end of the tour Linda will take your picture inside the house and outside of the house.
She accepts cash and credit for the tour. She prefers cash and she was so sweet we gave her a little extra.

Been here for 3 concerts and even being in the nosebleed section, we could still see just fine. They close down the streets around the center so be prepared to drive in a large circle or two before you get to your parking place. Would highly recommend setting up parking before you go. There are plenty of parking lots and garages near the center.

First time here 2/25/22 watched an Oilers hockey game. Although they lost we had enjoyed the game. The stadium was pretty full and engaged in the game… very charged atmosphere,FUN! Our seats were in section 101 row F by the goal. Great seats. Very reasonable ticket prices for a night out. Family friendly. Between periods they do MANY fun crowd interaction events.

Went here to see a rodeo championship. It was the thing to do while in Oklahoma. It did not disappoint. We had a good time. The seating in the stadium took some getting used to. Very steep stairs and seating. You were going to be touching elbows with whoever is on your right or left. The place was clean, including the restrooms. Didn't make it to a concession because honestly, I didn't want to deal with the steep stairs no more than I had to.

I am disabled. I went to the BOK Center to watch my granddaughter perform with the FFA choir. I couldn't find any place to watch the show that was accessible to disabled people. I forgot my walker which was my fault but I was told I had to sit in section 300 something. The stairs are steep and very narrow. I was scared I would fall all the way down. Trying to get to a seat once you make it to the seat was difficult as well. Also my niece who is not disabled found it very difficult to get to a seat as well.

Surprisingly comfortable seats for this type of venue, good views all around, suitable sound system and restrooms. The prices at the concession stands made me wince and the employees were not very well-informed, which made picking up the tickets we had waiting a bit of a chore.

Wonderful Expo enter! Everything here was clean, the staff was so friendly, the bathrooms were super clean! The parking is a little tough to figure out, since parking garages are a block or more away, but the streets are well lit. In the expocenter there are escalators which are wonderful!

Clean, wonderful experience, felt very safe. That is important as the homeless population in Tulsa, including outside BOK, is astronomical. The seats are a bit small and the armrests left bruises on my fat sides, haha. But Shinedown and Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New were so incredible that my 5 star rating holds.

I've never been to this location before. I liked the layout. The seats were comfortable, but the cushions are in need of repair or replacement as they looked pretty worn out. We had tickets in section 110. I had no idea this section had its own bar, restrooms, and buffet. $24 gets you one trip and one plate of food from the buffet. You don't get to serve yourself.

Amazing Arena! It always feels very clean & I’ve been going here since it opened when I was a kid, I’ve seen tons of hockey games here, ice skated after the games, & seen several concerts! I’ve never been disappointed with the service here! I always feel safe too because of the security when going in. I saw Nickleback last week & it’s crazy how for different events the arena can adapt so much! To see a stage where you’ve seen ice or a big dirt track for monster trucks where there was a concert a few days before! Staff are all nice, bathrooms are usually very clean considering the amount of traffic in them, & every event is memorable!

We went for a Jeff Dunham concert. When arriving, the staff were pleasant and treated us with smiles and great attitudes. On the website, it states clear bags only. I have a certified med bag that's orange and not clear. As we were worried, they were not. They said absolutely no problem as it had markings showing medical. They apologized, and they had to go through, and we said no. appologize needed absolutely no problem. We proceeded to ticket check-in and were motioned through to check us in easier. We then had help to get to the floor elevator. They made a mistake and put me in a non ada seat, but they caught it before i did. We call in our tickets, not buying them online. They made an extra seat for my wife and I we didn't get where we had originally planned, but we had a host that helped with whatever i needed. The BOK center has a standard that needs to be recognized. I added photos, but google has pending on them.

Parking is always an adventure, but once that is accomplished and the doors open, lines to enter move quickly. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean. Merchandise booths are few and lines are long but that may not be a BOk thing, may be a headliner thing. We were annoyed to discover after purchasing bottled water so it wouldn't spill on us in our seats as we watched the show to be told we weren't allowed to have the lid, only the drink. But I loved the Eagles and Steely Dan! Thank you for bringing them to Oklahoma again!

Just saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra along with another 9002 people. We've seen Journey and Def Leppard there as well. It's a really great venue with comfortable stadium seating. I've been on the floor before, and it seems like those are uncomfortable metal chairs, so it's been 5 years since we sat down there in 2018; the padded stadium seats are just so much nicer that is where we'll be from now on. Be aware the Police close down Denver Avenue from 2nd to 4th or 5th on show nights so you CANNOT DRIVE DENVER AVE to get to parking, and parking is usually $25 and over. If you find parking for $20 you'd better grab it fast!

We were attending Winter Jam. Great lineup. The only negative I have is that they no longer have a place to step outside to vape or smoke. It can be difficult to go to a 3-5 hour event and not vape.

Great place for all sorts of venues, good seating throughout, easy mobility. Be prepared to spend money on food and drinks if you buy anything there. It's very expensive. The arena is nice though.
Concerts, sports, and everything else are always great shows. Security can be a drag, and whatever you do, don't take a bag unless you feel like walking g back to your car to put it up. You're likely not getting in with anything bigger than a 5x8 bag.

Second visit to the BOK Center for Oilers hockey. First visit we sat in the lower bowl and the upper bowl on the second visit. Not a bad seat in the arena, though the steps in the upper sections are too steep for my personal preference. Both the main and upper concourse are wide enough to support large crowds with ample amount of concessions. Plenty of parking available within a short walk.
The Tulsa Zoo is one of the largest and most popular zoos in the U.S., and it's perfect for all ages. It has a huge variety of animals, including African lions, Australian kangaroos, South American jaguars and Malayan tigers. The zoo also has a Safari Train, which riders can ride around the park. There are also various exhibits that visitors can explore, such as an underwater viewing station that invites guests to view the playful creatures from below.
We LOVED the zoo so much last weekend that we bought the year membership so we can keep going this summer! I personally hadn't been in years I think my oldest was 4 part time we'd gone & he about to be 8 so several years & so much had changed! They've added several exhibits, upgraded the playground, added restaurants & a family area for feeding young ones, changing them, or just a quiet place to catch your bearings from all the activity! The animals were very active when we went, chimpanzees & sea lions really put on a show for us!! They're opening the new Zoorassic World exhibit this weekend (we got a small sneak peak see pics) & we are all so excited to go see it! It will be open until September so make sure to see it if you go in the next few months! I had so much fun I felt like a little kid again, my son can't wait to go back, & we've decided to have his little brothers Wild One party there in July!! Highly recommend the Tulsa Zoo if you get the chance!

It was my first time visiting Tulsa Zoo & I would definitely recommend it.
We visited on a Sunday and arrived about 11 am.
The wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was a bit long. We purchased the majority our tickets online, but we needed to purchase 4 more at the gate. Our wait time to purchase tickets at the gate was about 15-20 minutes.

We enjoyed all the exhibits & park...especially the Dinosaur Exhibit!
The Dinosaur Exhibit is a temporary exhibit through the end of summer 2022. There is an additional cost to enter.
My only reason for 4 star review is restroom cleanliness. I'm happy they take such good care of the animals, exhibits, habitats and grounds but the restrooms need more frequent cleaning.
Overall...great zoo to visit!

This Zoo is such a nice place to visit. It brings me my childhood memories. I also like that they have a trail of different in-house themed enclosures for desert, sea, rainforest, and tundra environments. Though it is still best for animals to be in their natural habitat, the animals here look healthy and well attended.

I have loved the Tulsa Zoo for years. The Wild Kingdom is an excellent addition. This was our first time experiencing it. Also, the zoo is super child friendly! They have playgrounds that are better than city park play grounds! Finally, the accessibility ♿️ of the park is tremendous. The photos are of two of the bathrooms we saw. Tremendous job!

This is a great Zoo for the size of the city and community it is in. The facility always keeps getting expanded and refreshed and is the perfect place for families and kids for spending the afternoon or longer. It is well organized and maintained and the exhibits are informative and interesting for all age groups. I have been an occasional out of State visitor when visiting the area over many years, but going to this Zoo with kids and other family members is always a fun and relaxing experience. There is also a little train that goes around, adding to the enjoyment and mobility around the place. Well worth the visit.

We visited the zoo during Spring Break 2024 and it was nice. They had a picnic area and tables to enjoy a preplanned picnic lunch. To add on to the beauty of the zoo right by one of several picnic locations featured a large play park for the older kids on one side and a smaller area for the little children that enabled the adults to chat at the tables while still being able to keep an eye on the kiddos. This extra feature prompted me to purchase seasonal passes because a trip to the play park with a picnic is a helpful go-to outing during the summer season. The zoo also had refreshment stands throughout that featured cold drinks and slushes as well as beer on tap! They were featuring the Life-Sized Bug Museum and that was a pleasurable experience. Hearing the natural sound of each insect was very educational and fun for myself as well as my grandchildren! The rain forests climate change was surprising and interesting. They had several walk through buildings featuring monkeys, birds, fish, different tiny animals etc. I thought the sloth particularly interesting as I found out that it sleeps 20+ hours a day, wow👀! Riding the train around the entire zoo provided the perfect scenery of the totality of the zoo as well as offering tiny feet a much needed break. This was wholesome family-fun for everyone. The children feel asleep on the drive home within the first 5 minutes of the car ride. Gather the fam, pack a picnic lunch, remember your sun screen and refillable water bottles and set out on a guaranteed day filled with fun, learning, surprises & exploration!

Quiet a nice zoo. Been to many across the U.S. and this is a favorite. Our visit was over Thanksgiving week so the zoo had already switched over to it's winter displaying of animals. Some were inside and not able to be seen outside but it didn't effect the experience. This zoo is laid out extremely well. The course you follow wound through so many interesting sights that it didn't seem long or tiring, even for an old man like me. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, had a blast. There is a very good and fairly large playground near the middle of the journey so adults can sit and rest while the kidos burn off energy. Great idea. Price was right. Not too crowded. Weather was great, especially for late November, and I was with some people I dearly love. Very great experience.

My family loves the Tulsa zoo! We have the annual membership and it is well worth the price. We go monthly and most time every other week. It’s become our favorite family tradition! My daughter loves seeing the moneys and goats. The updated playground can keep her entertained for hours, if we let her stay that long. The staff is always so nice and welcoming to us and every guest. The animals seem very content, happy, and well taken care of. I recommend the Tulsa Zoo to everyone who visit Tulsa and to anyone in the area with children the membership is worth it!

My wife and I loved our visit. There is a wide variety of animals to see. Make sure to look out for non-caged native creatures also. Keep an eye out for "Easter eggs", hint: look for the wood carved owl sitting up in a tree near a food court. The Train ride is inexpensive so make sure to take a ride. We can't wait to go back!

The zoo is always a great time. The landscaping is really nice. The recent updates to the animal enclosures are so natural and spacious. Certain times of day, however, the glass is impossible to see through due to it being so reflective. It is great to check your hairdo, but disappointing when you know the animal is so close.
I am also disappointed in the train ride from the sea lions to the entrance. If you love large a/c units and warehouses, you will find it very educational. It would be nice to not be charged for that half of the train ride.
We have family passes, which I highly recommend if you’re going to visit a few times a year.

What a great deal for non Zoo Club Members! They have changed so many things! I am super excited for the next elephant exhibit being build!! Also the Tiger Exhibit was awesome!! Can't wait to come back next time!!

Cleanest zoo I've seen yet I think. My daughter loved it. They have a really big playground area for them to play and the exhibits are actually out and about. They have nice statues for u to take pics of the kids too

Nice large Zoo with a ton of exhibits. Cute little train does a loop around, and can catch it halfway if your're tired and need a lift back to the front. It drops you off right by the carousel. Plenty of cool indoor exhibits as well. Also a petting "children's zoo" and playground for the kiddos. Overall a nice place to spend a few hours.

This was actually a little sad for me. The very first thing we saw were the chimpanzees. They were laying around on the higher planks so it was difficult to see them. They weren't asleep, they were just laying there. One was munching and getting some water and seemed just fine but the other two looked sad. I visited all the other enclosures and other than maybe the bear who stayed in it's cave or the tiger that laid in the shade a few feet from a pool, everyone seemed pretty happy and cared for, but those chimps make me sad. I hope they're doing things to ensure the happiness of the animals there. It was pretty clean and the employees were helpful. The elephants were awesome and there's supposed to be more elephants coming. Everything drink and food-wise is pretty expensive but that's to be expected. If I went again, I'd go in the cooler weather and maybe see some happier faces lol

I'm giving the zoo five stars because I believe it is usually a five star experience.
We really enjoyed it - gorgeous flower gardens, enough indoor options to give us a break from the heat outside, and the animals were will cared for. My kids loved riding the carousel, as well.
Buyer Beware: ask what exhibits are closed before purchasing tickets.
We were told at ticketing that the train was closed and we were okay with that. We were not told that half the zoo was closed. We hit blockades everywhere and finally went back to the carousel to ask the ladies how to get to the lions, giraffes, rhinos, and such. With orange blockades closing off walkways and an actual gate closing another, we went in circles for a while before finally asking. Yeah, literally half the zoo was blocked off.
That was really disappointing. We're visiting from Texas, so we aren't members who can just return a different day. I wish we had been told before we purchased tickets.
Even with that, it was still a fun experience and a beautifully maintained zoo.

Great zoo. Allow at least 2-3 hours. Lots of fun play spaces for the young ones as well as beautiful animal exhibits. They have penguins among their animals . I would love to visit here again!

I haven't been to many zoos in my life, and the ones I did visit I was too young to remember anything. Tulsa zoo is absolutely amazing, my wife and i went alone and even without kids we spent 3 hours here. They have such an amazing selection of animals to see and the enclosures for the MOST part are large and don't seem sad and cramped. It's over 80 acres of zoo land so bring good walking shoes.
Tristen Nord — Google review
Had a wonderful time at the zoo with the kids. I recommend the zoo pass, it makes it easier. The one complaint would be the food prices compared to the food quality. Other than that had a blast.
Greg Wilson — Google review
Im not sure if it were the time we went (1:30-4pm) or the time of year (early spring) but the animals were so active. The animals in these exhibits were more active than any other zoo and I’ve been to. They have a lot of unique species as well I’m not use to seeing in other zoos. Such as a python and naked mole rats.
My favorite exhibits were the Diana Monkies, the chimps, the giraffes, and the giant tortoise's. The elephant exhibit was closed today.
My only thing is that a couple exhibits had unfair space compared to other animals such as their white and black swan and the a larger sea turtle in one of the indoor exhibits. The bald eagles had clipped wings as well whereas so many other birds had ability to fly.

I found out that you can reserve wheelchairs, strollers, etc. ahead of time. Calling in even before the day of tour visit. They give discounts if you have a picture ID and EBT card at entrance. Cost is really reaonable even without discount. Great presentations of animals, plenty of variety of animals. Mechanical bugs area children seemed to be REALLY ENJOYING I observed. Thinking early in the day is better, as many were resting around noontime.

We pay for the family membership pass since we come here so often! Our kids absolutely love seeing all the animals! We also love the food (pepperoni pizza is the kids' FAVORITE) definitely worth the money and drive for some people.

I’m a bit disappointed… the tickets were expensive for a half zoo. They were updating a lot wich is fine but nothing on their website. The animal houses closing at 4 pm but entering the zoo is until 4. Makes no sense since you won’t make it to see the entire zoo. Half cages were empty but paying the full price. The restaurants were mainly closed abs the one that was open sells chips and other snacks for a horrendous price. The gift shop only for rich people since a toy cost 30-40$!! I guess you have to decide on your own if you can afford it. Kids will definitely have fun but I would not go there again. The map very confusing and the way the zoo is organized very strange… we walked in circles a lot and wasted so much time. Please make sure you come at latest at 1 pm to the zoo to see snd enjoy it all.

First time at a different zoo than the one in Okc and we loved it worth the trip. The zoo is set up very well and it's like your in the experience with the animals. For sure recommend going if your have never been we will return for another visit.
Helen Woodward, Tulsa's first female landowner, donated 45 acres of her property to the city in 1909 for use as a park and botanical garden. The gardens feature an extensive collection of roses, azalea shrubs, and other plants typical of Oklahoma's horticultural landscape. Walking trails wind through well-manicured gardens and a Victorian conservatory filled with exotic plants is open to the public during warm weather months.
This little Park was an amazing find. We flew in here from Arizona and wanted to check out the area. It was great with the kids for a nice long walk. There were so many squirrels and Canadian geese and they were all friendly. There's a nice little creek that runs to an open body of water.

As a Tulsan Native, I have grown up visiting Woodward Park and Gardens my entire life. Now that I have moved out of Tulsa, I still enjoy visiting when in town.
My absolute favorite time to visit is during the Springtime when the tulips bloom. I mean, anytime is a great time to visit Woodward. I have even done winter pictures here in the snow! But during Spring, there is always such an array of colors from all the pretty flowers blooming. It is absolutely beautiful. When not exploring or wondering the park grounds, it is also nice to have a picnic or even settle down and read a good book. If you do bring food, do know the squirrels and geese will be asking for some and they are not afraid of people.
Overall, the atmosphere is always so serene and tranquil. Even amidst the hustle and bustle of "city" life there is peace at this park. I have never been disappointed when visiting Woodard Park and Gardens. 10/10 recommended visiting it to any local or passerby traveling through Tulsa.

Came here with my Dad and my Great Uncle with a title package of Peanuts and came to feed the squirrels. My dad has fond memories of coming to Woodward park just sit down and enjoy the wind and grass. Maybe have a pick-nick and bring a frisbee. Do not expect much accept a place to just sit and enjoy. I didn’t do much but feed the squirrels for 40-50 minutes. What a good good place.

Located in Tulsa, the Center of the Universe is an acoustic anomaly where visitors stand on a circle and noises they make are echoed back much louder. Some have also reported distorted sounds instead.
We visited here after having dinner one night after someone in our party mentioned reading about it online. It was actually very cool. It's like you are standing there in front of an open mic talking or singing. What's even more crazy is when we tried to record it with our phones, it didn't sound like the echo, it was normal. But you can definitely tell the difference. There was several people out walking around for it to be close to 9:30pm, and yes there was a few homeless people amongst those. None of them came up to us or bothered us in any way, so we just kept to ourselves as well. A very unique thing to do in the area if you like quirky fun free things to do!
Tena Jones — Google review
How curious! Stand in the center of the circle and speak and you hear a strange echo, but anyone outside of the circle can hear you with no distortion whatsoever. Fun, quick, free stop. Glad you to experience this real oddity. Wish they had some sort of placard or sign. If you don't know it's there you'd walk right by and have no clue.

This is actually pretty cool. You may feel silly at first standing there but it’s a fun experience. There are no signs or anything so it’s really unassuming but it’s at the top of the small hill right in front of the large tall sculpture thing. You have to stand right in the middle of the circle and talk normally. Say more than just a word or two. Initially I didn’t hear the echo but I turned to ask someone a question and they heard it! It’s a quick detour from several bars and restaurants so definitely worth adding 5-10 mins on your stroll through downtown. Brought a few friends after the bar and they were very entertained haha

We visited this place occasionally after randomly finding out about it online. We were skeptical at first, but it actually works! There were a couple homeless people around there, but they didn’t infringe on our visit. A pretty cool experience to check out while driving through Tulsa.

A cool spot where you can hear your voice return in stereo. This area of the city was cleaner and quieter than expected. I would have given this 5 stars if there was a plaque explaining the history behind this spot, and another plaque explaining the background behind the tower with etches of people on one side and airplanes on the other.
Eric Spero — Google review
This is a very unique spot in Tulsa. It is located on the pedestrian bridge on the north side of the Williams Tower (BOK). The tower itself was built by the same architect who built the original twin World Trade Towers in lower Manhattan and the Tulsa tower is a half scale replica. Standing in the circle of bricks has a profound effect on sound. When you stand outside of the circle and face the tower the sculpture (Artificial Cloud) has a bizarre effect on the tower. The art was placed there in the 90s and legend has it, the native American artist had an unrecognized vision. The artist later wrote that the Artificial Cloud represents the destruction of humanity. You be the judge.

IF you don't hear anything different. Try putting your feet shoulder length apart. One foot on one side of each other from the slit down the middle of the concrete. We faced the parking area on the same lot/level. The sound is pretty unique, and only you can hear it when talking. Others outside of the circle can hear your voice but not the echo.
Loved it!

As seen on Tulsa King it is a fun visit. The claims that you cannot be heard outside the circle are kinda real. But it's not what you think. When you visit you will find out what I mean. I tried to record my voice while inside the center but what I heard was not on my video. Easy to find parking very near and worth the time
John Gloss — Google review
It is a fun place to stand and make noise. You can hear multiple echos back to you. They said people outside the circle can't hear you but we didn't find that. It was a fun place to experiment with what was going on. It wasn't busy and we had plenty of time to explore.

The “Center of the Universe” is a little-known mysterious acoustic phenomenon. If you stand in the middle of the circle and make a noise, the sound is echoed back several times louder than it was made. It’s your own private amplified echo chamber.

Cool place close to downtown Tulsa by the train station. Has a tall cloud sculpture to the North of the Center of the Universe that can be seen from afar. At the center if you talk or make sounds you get a strange sound effect that even experts disagree why this occurs. I went just to say that I have been at the center of the universe!

This is an entertaining little spot to stop if you’re in the city. It was a neat experience as when you stand in the circle, your voice creates an echo only you can hear unless someone is in the circle with you. Such a fun little detour before our dinner.

It's a great place to people-watch. Geocaching brought me here. Tulsa King series character, Dwight, came here to tell God his secrets. My friend and I recited things we had memorized. People come up confidently dismissing the experience, stating that they clearly KNOW what the anomaly happens. (They usually do this with a little swagger of the head.) Take your innocence, curiosity, and wonder with you. It is much more fun.

October 2023 - Watching the "Tulsa King" series on the plane on the way to Tulsa, we had to check out the center of the universe featured in one episode. It took some searching to find it, but with some help from locals we did. The Art Deco district of Tulsa is a great spot to walk around and see the sights, btw. I'm including some photos that can show you the path of how to get here in case you don't run into a resident. We went through the Bank of Oklahoma. (BOK)
As for not being able to hear what anyone says when one is standing in the designated spot, sadly, not so.
We arrived when another couple did visiting from Milwaukee. They were also curious. We said they could go first. Both stood and talked one after the other, and whoever the three of us were witnessing this act, agreed we could hear everything they were saying. My partner and I took our place in the center after they left, and found the same result. There is, however, a noticeable echo when speaking. Maybe that's worth the visit in that you're not yelling off of a cliff... Interesting phenomenon, nevertheless.

The experience is AMAZING because I never knew. What an awesome informative surprise about Tulsa. It was a really cool experience. It's also an echo within the circle that only you can hear. I really love this stadium. The playground and splash pad for the kids is a really wonderful addition for families that want to watch games and their little hellions...I mean...kids wouldn't otherwise be able to last til the end. While this botanical garden is quite a ways outside the city, it is worth the drive. It is great to see a newly built botanical garden that's still in pristine condition! Are actively during construction around the lake expanding the garden and it'll be worth coming back over the coming years to see the progress being made. Currently it's not the largest collection but very well done. There's a fun children's garden with the unique sculpture and water features. As well as a layered garden with a beautiful stream running into the lake.
It is a paved road, though windy, up until you reach the parking lot of the botanical garden, the parking lot is a hard gravel that's easy to navigate

I’ve been to some amazing Botanical Gardens. Upside: The tulips were amazing! So colorful, so many varieties. It was not crowded. But it was also Easter Sunday and gloomy weather. The structures were beautiful, the wood thrones were an unexpected surprise. Saw a killdeer bird which was fun. If you haven’t seen one in action protecting its nest, look it up. Also the garden cat!
Drawbacks (IMHO): The gift shop was minimal. Seemed like a big work in progress for the money I paid to get in, can’t remember how much.
I could have seen the whole thing in like less than an hour.
All in all I’d recommend locals giving it a visit.

A hidden gem in Tulsa. The kids love walking the trails, playing with all of the interactive toys, and attending the special events thought out the year. This place is really cool! Highly recommend

This place is amazing! We went for the Christmas light display. So beautiful. The activities were great! We went on Thursday. Theu had a free craft for the kids. WIC/SNAP/ Foster families get in at a discount. The Botanic Garden opens the gates 5 minutes before the garden opens.

The children's garden was the best part of this adventure (and we don't have children!)
We enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the many many types of plants and flowers. The lake in the middle provided a peaceful setting to just enjoy our surroundings.
Wow! What a great place!

First time visiting, considering it’s October, very nice garden. I’m sure it’s even prettier in the spring and summer when more plants are in season. Was a bit disappointed they did not allow dogs. Although we did learn they have a dog day once a week but we were only in town for 3 days so we missed it. I think during the slow months, extending dog days would be beneficial. If I were a local, I’d go there to walk my dog. It’s big enough and spaced out in a way that it would make a really nice dog friendly garden.
River Spirit Casino Resort is a Tulsa casino that offers a steakhouse, casual eateries, table & electronic gaming, and weekend shows. The resort has bright colors and a tropical feel with rooms overlooking the Arkansas River. There's no beach to sunbathe on but there are four restaurants including a steakhouse. The gambling stops at the resort and you can enjoy live music in the Mystic River Lounge before drinks in one of the bars.
My wife and I just moved to Oklahoma City from Texas. This was our first stay at River Spirit and will definitely not be our last. (Have already booked a return trip). Everything, from the service to the food & drinks to the facilities was absolutely amazing! We attended two concerts and had massages & facials at the Spa. Again, over and beyond our expectations! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Birthday Celebration here. I have traveled extensively and will rate this resort and it's extremely friendly, service-minded employees as #1 on my list. River Spirit will become our regular getaway.

Why only the two stars? I met only 1 member of staff who wore a mask during our stay at the hotel and I don’t recall seeing anyone else. If folks don’t care about their own safety then it’s reasonable to presume that they don’t care about your safety, right? This is about a health pandemic, not a reflection on one’s politics or beliefs.
Other than that our room was large, spacious and clean. The bathroom was adequately stocked. The hotel was quiet considering it’s the week before Christmas so it was nice to be able to walk around and see the facilities. The pool looked great, wish we had our swimming gear as the water was heated.
Casino was bright; but strange that they have a non smoking section and a smoking section which made no difference really. Especially when folks ignore the non smoking signs.
Overall, nice resort, friendly staff, nice value for time of year..

Riverspirit they always have Clean rooms. Room service is EXCELLENT!! FOOD AMAZING from the room service!! I have never had a problem with my room. Also I really love the fact that there are so many food places. I have eaten at every single one of them. Lots of slot machine varieties. And they usually pay pretty decently. Parking sometimes is hard to find on the weekends but otherwise it's a great atmosphere!

We went to the casino for lunch and to play some slots, Rain Bay Cafe and Mazzini's were conveniently closed during lunch and did not open until 4: 30 in the afternoon. Fire Side grill was open and conveniently didn't offer any lunch specials. The food was very good but definitely not worth $45 for 2 burgers with fries and 3 non alcoholic beverages tax & tip. Prices should have and easily could have been 35' to 40% lower
Because of the high menu prices, we felt that the value didn't meet or exceed the price that we had to pay, so we will probably not go back to that restaurant to eat.
At least I hit a nice 7x2x7x3 while playing the penny slots.

They seem to be constantly constructing things out here ..of it ain't a new parking garage its an extension to the gaming floor or adding a few stories on to the top of their 26 story hotel. I'm guessing this is why I never hit a jackpot out here because they have to pay for all that construction...however they do have a cool pool bar and lots of good food.
P.s. ....Hotel Hack- ask for a room on the top floor and they will give it to you ...the view is worth all the money you spent to get the comped room

Had a great experience with some friends hanging out at the casino and bars. The workers were polite and willing to help you or direct you based on your needs.
The place was clean and was very busy for Friday.
I will come back again with the wife and maybe see a show there.

I absolutely love this casino/hotel. But I do have one complaint. My husband is a semi driver and I travel alongside him. We tried to park there one evening, with just the semi and got told to leave. It would be awesome if the casino would consider allowing truck drivers to park there. It would bring in more money and people. Just a thought. Other than that we think River Spirit is fun and the rooms are amazing. We also love the fact that you guys give out free play and birthday free play, where as other casinos don't do the birthday free play. That is all, thank you.

Great location downtown by River. Rooms clean and spacious. Mattress comfy. Bathroom large enough for two people. Nonsmoking section of the casino was nice. Lots of food options. We dined at Fireside Grill which had good prices and great food. We enjoyed our stay.

I will give a four. Am a dasher and had an order for a customer. Yet not arrived. My instructions were to leave at the front desk. The employees were nice and guided me to the front desk. The people working at the desk were very nice. They looked up the customers name to confirm they had a reservation. Then, they accepted the order. It was a really clean establishment for what I could see. Kinda fancy, I thought. Maybe someday I'll be able to check it out. Staff was awesome. Be blessed 🙏

My wife's conference was held here. We stayed in the hotel for three days. There were lots and lots of slot machines to play. We ate dinner at Ruth Chris. The steaks and appetizers were to die for. The people were very friendly. We had a great time. There was a coffee shop with very good breakfast items. I can't wait to go back. My wife is trying to make reservations for tonight, and they are sold out.

We moved to Tulsa 9 months ago, and decided to check River Spirit out. I thought it looked small from the outside. I couldn't have been more wrong. It is huge. It was bigger than Treasure Island in Vegas. River Spirit has 3,100 slots. Treasure Island only has 2,500. I looked it up. I was impressed. It even has Ruth Chris Steak House. Not that I'd pay those prices. The slots were tight the day we were there. Very tight. We will go back. Just not anytime soon. I am not gambling 10 minutes from home. I'm smarter than that.

Do not play table games. Awful rules and ante's. Very hard to win here. Staff and workers are very polite. They have a great selection of slot machines and the hold'em tourneys are fun but their table games are brutal. The blackjack rules are awful. They charge antes unless you're rich and playing $25 min blackjack which is stupid as . Other casinos will pay for your ante. They do have $5 blackjack which is nice but with the rules and the ante you will LOSE your money EVERYTIME. However they have great staff. The Dealers and all the Pit boss's are awesome and happy to help teach new players. Games are short though and there is a lot of shuffling. A 5 star casino ruined by awful table games. Will change to 5 stars if they can fix these issues.

Great time, friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Slots were tremendously tight though. In our 4 day stay we did not see one hand payout ever. I Was given $5 Free Play after spending $1000. Except for the super tight slots, our stay at the hotel was excellent and will definitely stay again for a comfortable nights stay only.

We stayed 1 night and the room is very clean and comfortable. The bed is comfortable with a lot of pillows to choose from. The bathroom is very nice and the layout is very good . The shower is top notch. As a matter of fact it is probably 1 of the 3 best showers I have used. The shower head is high on the wall and has a larger range of adjustment than normal.

Booked a room because we were attending a concert at the facility.
The venue for the concert sounded amazing. Enjoyed dinner and drinks at Margaritaville. Love that we could take our drink into the concert venue you since it was on site too.
Our room had a king-size bed, a couch, a vanity area, and a mini fridge. It was very clean and tastefully decorated.
Neither myself nor my husband are big on casinos, but we would stay again to attend a concert.

Good selection of slots. A nice, large bar in the middle of the hall that has live music on most nights. Buffet closed permanently but there's a couple other places for food. Customer Service is friendly and accommodating. Payouts are poor to fair. If you're a high roller, you have a better chance of winning anything. Didn't see much happening for lower end players.

Lets start by saying that this place is not what it seems to be. The harassment by security is incessant. I come to play the slot machines for an hour or two once or twice a week and as soon as I pull in the parking lot these people will follow me around the lot. I park my car and these people will just sit there a watch everything I do. I don't know why I never given a reason for these treatment. Today they approached me talking about I was flag and being banned but when I said no one's told me I was banned they asked to see ID. This is worse than actual police asking to see ID without a crime being committed. I have to play these slots and be on constant alert to see when they will falsely accuse me of something. I don't get why this treatment. I haven't done anything to these people. But I know why the harassment and its racially motivated and prejudice at its core.

Parking was covered and convenient. Room was good, but not great- maybe a big overpriced for what it is after resort fee. Casino was a little disappointing as it was about 98% slots. Poker room was small and there can be a wait for a game. Very limited table games - 2 craps tables with $15 min, few black jack tables - table games and craps only open in the evening. Somewhat limited restaurant options if you want to stay on site. Ruth chris books fast so make a reservation in advance. Fireside grill was good for breakfast. Staff was super friendly. The pool was too crowded to even be enjoyable and they need more chairs. We saw the counting crows and it was a good show in a good venue. Overall, I would not come here for the casino/pool, I would only return if there was a concert I wanted to see.

This is the first time I've been here. It's a very nice casino and hotel. We came up to see a concert. Service at this hotel is fantastic and the bartenders at The Cove make a very good drink. The casino was extremely clean and it smelled nice which is uncommon for a lot of casinos. Staff was all wonderful and I would definitely come back here again.

Nice casino and hotel. I enjoyed it very much but; when you spend a lot of time there they give rewards that only the wealthy people can enjoy. For instance, they offer free nights stay. Only problem is that it must be Sunday through Thursday. The working people can never get to enjoy that, so in my opinion it is a little like a scam. Offering something for your money but put limits that they know you can’t possibly use

We have stayed here several times and each time has been great. The rooms are very nice and clean. The food choices are really good as well. The venue for shows is great...there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The rooms are non smoking and there are areas around the casino that are non smoking as well. We don't go to gamble but enjoy the stay, food and top notch entertainment that they schedule. The location is great and close to so many things too. This is a place we will be coming back to! Great customer service as well. I left something behind in our room last week and they sent it to me which was greatly appreciated without any problem. Highly recommend staying here!!

Overall, great time. The slots didn't entertain me, just gobbled money. But the tables were good and left the next day satisfied for what I paid to play. The general public here seemed damaged if you will, not upbeat or excited. The staff was helpful and nice, and was happy to tip them for it. Loved the free valet, and the facility is nice. It's a bit farther away from my main highway, but I think I like it! Try it out, I'm still teetering on this or Hard Rock to be my main stay. But I do recommend!

Been in Northeast Oklahoma now for 18 months or so but had never been here. We were pleasantly surprised. Two casinos in one. We had lunch at Margaritaville's and we were amazed at the food and drink quality. Not all Margaritaville's are created equally and this one was good. Both sides of the casino were very clean and organized well. I just wish they had the table game "Let it Ride", which we can play at for hours, but most of the smaller casinos don't have on their floor. Didn't get to check out the hotel at all, but we will likely consider staying here the next time we have to come into Tulsa. We have our small plane and could easily fly to Riverside Airport which is just across the river and would be super convenient.

Great experience overall. Free valet service, excellent check-in (thanks Maddie!) Fast checkout Good atmosphere. As with most casinos, there is nothing much in the vicinity, so don't use it as a base to explore, but you'll have plenty to do at the casino anyway 😉
The Golden Driller Statue is a tribute to Tulsa's petroleum industry and the hard work of oil workers. It is one of the most iconic attractions in Tulsa, and visitors are sure to enjoy taking pictures with it.
I had never been to the Expo……What a cool massive petroleum tribute. I went to see the gun show on Feb. 13th but unfortunately I couldn’t go inside, the attendance girl at the entrance said cash only fee allowed to enter and didn’t accept my debit card. I would definitely have spent some money, there was only an hour left before closing time. Sooo I will just come back with cash to the next show. Lots of good stuff happening here next couple weeks.

For a sports tournament (volleyball), it was quite nice. Decent amount of vendors for food and beverages. Enough bathrooms that it wasn't ever really a trek to get to one. The only thing that I heard others complain about was the A/C worked a bit too well. Caveat to that though: it was raining and the temps were down that day (I liked it though as I was comfortable). The long floorplan kept 40-something 60'x30' courts from ever feeling cramped AND allowed for portable stands at each court. Parking was plentiful and easy to navigate. Staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Would recommend for future events.

Some way to pay respect to your workers of the oilfield.... cover the plaque showing respect with a stupid oversized salad ad. Lucky someone with a razor doesn't just cut the whole bottom section right off. Pretty ridiculous way to spit on your O&G workers in a state that was once the epicenter of oil production.
Tony P — Google review
It's somewhat bittersweet to look up at the driller. That's because the town really hasn't been about drilling for oil in a very long time. So it's a nod to our history. That said, the Driller is well kept, and is frequently painted up ot sometimes even dressed, which keeps it fresh and brings in a little as revenue, which is brilliant. Moreover, it's worth noting that the designers had the foresight to take a figure with such a masculine build, posed in a masculine stance, and then omit any hint of masculine genitalia. Perfect for the times, it's only a matter of time until the Driller wears a dress. But that will get boring too. Because ultimately, the Driller is a bit boring.
As monuments go, the Driller ain't much, but we are stuck with it as a Tulsa icon. At least until the city can afford to build a better, or maybe just a more appropriate icon.
Turkey Mountain is a Tulsa favorite for hiking, biking and trail running. The mountain features five marked trails and 25 miles of unmarked trails spread across 300 acres of land. Visitors will find Oklahoma tree species like Post Oak, Blackjack Oak, Hickory and Redbud, as well as trail runners and mountain cyclists on any given day.
Absolutely gorgeous place to hike or picnic or do your homeschool studies...or ask of the above! It's clean, safe, family friendly, but also plenty of secluded and off the main track areas for solo time or romantic moments. Plenty of indigenous growth to identify with your Seek app or birds to observe with binoculars or your Merlin app. It's one of our favorite local places that just always feels like magic!

Just moved to the Tulsa area and had my first excursion to the park this afternoon. I have not hiked like this In thirty years! Wow it was so uplifting and beautiful to be in total nature. Trail had smooth areas, steep areas abs very rocky areas. Bring water and get a walking stick perhaps. Nice and shady all the way in mid day heat. Only saw about a dozen other hikers in the 1.5 hour hike. Also I was able to photograph the beauty and not have to worry about paranoid stupid parents assuming you are filming their children like the night before at the gathering place-no thanks I’ve found a much better urban oasis called Turkey Mountain!

A quaint museum with friendly and knowledgeable staff at an affordable price. There are a lot of objects to view within the small museum, many photo ops for the family and/or just the kids. It wasn't very busy during morning hours, we paid for the exhibit and the planetarium star show. The exhibit was better, but the show was a nice way to kill time. Though a little outdated, and sometimes moved a bit too fast (making my kiddos and I a little queasy) it was still nice imagery. Nice little stop for passerby's.

What a cool place to stop in and learn and see a glimpse into the air history of Tulsa international airport. Worth a visit in the Tulsa area. It's a bit small for what I'm used to but there are several planes and a number of interactive displays for the kids. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. I did both the museum and planetarium. The planetarium is unique in that you see a movie projected onto a dome--almost like an iMax. However, the movie I happened to see was nothing of the quality of an iMax movie, so I ended up disappointed. In the main museum, I am very glad they had a replica of the beautiful art deco facade of the Tulsa Airport. That was really cool.

Was just okay! Not worth the price of admission. 58 dollars for 3 people including the planetarium seems a little high. To much crammed in a small space, and some of the exhibits were used for storage for other things. Good place for a road trip if u have something else to do.

9/30/2023 - Absolutely a 100 percent experience on this day. We came here this warm sunny afternoon so my companion could tick off his number one item on his bucket list and fly in a P-51 Mustang, "Gunfighter" that was available at this air base on his birthday. The pilots were very personable and complete professionals. Experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended for airplane enthusiasts. Cockpit tours of other war planes are also available for $20.
The museum has some interesting items of note in terms of aviation history from innovative engines to flight simulators. The planetarium has impressive film footage to view with alternating shows throughout the day. "Destination Mars: The Final Frontier" and "Dream to Fly" were showcased during our visit. Tickets are $11.
We enjoyed the "Bombers, Brew and BBQ" event and live music provided by "Midlife Crisis" that concluded the evening. Thanks to the band for letting my partner sing a song on stage for more birthday fun.

From time to time they will have different traveling exhibits that are well worth checking out. The latest one I witnessed was the B-29 "Doc" that we were able to take a tour through.
They also have a planetarium that you can visit whether you tour the museum or not.

We just visited here for the very first time this month to see the Harry Potter in concert event! It was AMAZING! Such a good experience! The atmosphere was great - both the crowd and the orchestra were super fun and engaging with one another, the ushers were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean! Overall very positive experience, and we would be happy to return for more events here!

Tulsa PAC is a great venue! Park underneath and take elevator upstairs. Stay at hotel next door if coming from out of town. Great restaurants within walking distance. There is a downtown YMCA close by. Visit The Center of the Earth, the Brady District, lots to do close by. The airport is 20 to 30 minutes away. Check out Hodges Bend and Cain’s Ballroom.

I bought the cheaper balcony seats and we saw everything perfectly. I was really impressed. I might spend more for Mezzanine seating next time for a different experience but I was far from disappointed. Anastasia was amazing and I'll definitely be going back. Grab a ticket and buy an experience you won't forget!

I went for a Tulsa Opera performance of " Into the Woods" and had an excellent time. Access was very easy and the staff were all very friendly. The show was beyond wonderfully done. I will absolutely return.

Quaint. Seating is average and not small or uncomfortable. They do have strict rules about cell phones and food. That's pretty typical for TPAC. They have plenty of ushers. They are always watching and helpful. Some are really nice, others need more training regarding customer service and friendliness. While I've been to better event venues, this one is not bad but not the most luxurious. Free parking is difficult to find. Go early if you want a free spot. Otherwise, you will need about 20 bucks for parking.

Beautiful moment!! So grateful for the arts coming back!! Ma Cong's choreography never disappoints and the Nutcracker was the highlight of our Christmas season!! Thank you TPAC!

First visit. Came to see Hamilton. Seats are very comfy and the PAC is very clean. Easy to get in and out even with a full house. Wish they were a little more strict on people returning to seats after intermission. Looking forward to coming back for another show.

It's a lovely hall with very good (not great) acoustics. Accessible. Excellent sight lines from pretty much every seat. I have attended ballet, vocal/Broadway performances, and the Tulsa Symphony; the last punches far above its weight for a market this size. I miss the Minnesota Orchestra and its hall, but this is close enough!

Saw the Lion King at this Theatre. All in All great Performing Art Center being intimate, inviting, and clean. And the performers killed it! Great job Tulsa bringing a wonderful production to the areas.

Great shows and thankful for improvements that are coming.
Several theaters in same building, so may need to enter on 3rd or 2nd street.
Parking may be an issue. Plan to arrive early.
No outside food or drinks, except the cup that they sell for $6 (as of September 2023) can purchase refills to take into theatre.
Sunshine Graham — Google review
The seats were comfortable. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Parking is not the greatest, but I've seen worse. There is a $20 lot right across the street if you're good with the price. There are some cheaper options a little further out, but they filled up pretty quickly. My only complaint (and this can be said of any places like this) is the seating is pretty crammed. More leg room than some not as much as I'd prefer.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

The seats in the mezzanine were amazing. The staff is always good. It’s a beautiful location to see any kind of show. It’s always clean. The bathrooms are always nice. The food and drink is always good. It’s a little overpriced but you know what you’re getting into at the theater. Would always suggest anyone go see any show here.

Had to lose one star due to difficulty for people with mobility issues.
Staff is great.
I may be naive but $4 for a Keurig coffee seems more like a mandatory donation to the TPAC.

Truly a beautiful venue. The only issue we had was with a group of homeless as we were parking and walking to the building. The Tulsa Security Task Force were handling a group that appeared to be long term homeless. They did a really good job of dispersing them quickly but it seems like each time we visit Tulsa we see more and more homeless around the downtown area. Our show was fantastic and despite the outside issues we will return.

If you're seeking vibrant nightlife instead of tranquility, the Blue Dome District is the place to be. Situated near the Tulsa Arts District and downtown, this lively entertainment area is filled with bars and restaurants. Named after the iconic 1924 Blue Dome building, it offers a plethora of trendy dining spots and cool bars for visitors to explore.
Oral Roberts University is a Christian liberal arts university known for its futuristic architecture and athletic programs. The school has a Prayer Tower as the centerpiece of campus, which is fascinating to see no matter your religious beliefs.
From a visitor perspective, beautiful campus. Architecture is awesome. Garden areas were beautiful and well maintained.

What I love most about going here is the community. Everyone here has been so kind and I've met so many good people that I would have never come across had I gone to a state school. Yes, it is more difficult than other universities (at least the Bio/Pre-med program), but they are willing to help you and give you the tools you need to succeed. I've grown so much spiritually, socially, and emotionally since I came here. Most professors here will go to the moon and back for you, because they truly care and want to see you succeed.
I transferred here in 2019 but am just graduating in the Spring due to some health issues; I just now made up all of my I's. At a state school I would have been lost and probably still on my own, but the community here is so engaging and it is here I was able to finally let my guard down and make some (or, more than the couple I had at first) friends. You will make lasting friendships here, and you will learn and grow so much. If you are looking for the Holy Spirit and to get closer to God, this is the right place.

I toured the most beautiful college campus that I have ever seen. Oral Robert's University in Tulsa has almost a space age feel , like the Jetsons or the Starfleet academy went here. It's most famous alumni include Kathy Lee Gifford and Joel Osteen. Such a beautiful sunny day here in Tulsa. My pictures turn out so much better on sunny days like this.

One of the prettiest colleges in the US. Building 4 new buildings debt-free. 13 consecutive years of enrollment growth. I am absolutely thrilled with my experience at Oral Roberts University! From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I was welcomed with open arms into a community that values both academic excellence and spiritual growth. The Godly atmosphere is palpable, and it's clear that the university is dedicated to fostering a deep spiritual connection in addition to top-notch education.
The motivating environment here is truly inspiring. Professors go above and beyond to engage students in meaningful discussions and provide guidance that extends beyond the classroom. The academic quality is exceptional, and I've been challenged in ways that have truly expanded my horizons.
The campus itself is stunning, offering a perfect blend of modern facilities and serene green spaces. The world-class facilities contribute to an environment that is conducive to learning and personal development. What's even more remarkable is the international experience the university provides. Interacting with students from various countries has been an enlightening journey, allowing me to learn about different cultures and perspectives right from one location.
Studying at Oral Roberts University has not only enriched my academic journey but has also broadened my understanding of the world. If you're seeking an educational institution that combines faith, academic rigor, and a globally diverse community, look no further. My time here has been nothing short of transformative, and I wholeheartedly recommend ORU to anyone seeking an unparalleled university experience.

Oral Roberts University is not just a place you go to study, it's a HOME.
Ever since I got admitted into this amazing university, to going through the enrollment processes, to starting my classes in the Fall B online Semester in 2022, till this moment where I'm preparing to come in-person to this great school, what I've experienced so far has been beyond words - it's impeccable and mind blowing.
The lecturer we had during the Fall semester was super duper nice. She groomed us, accepted us, and our differences in cultures, backgrounds and societal upbringings made everything more beautiful. She prayed for us, loved us, encouraged us and I just kept thinking to myself that, if my online classes could be this excellent and spirit-filled, how amazing will experiencing this physically be?
ORU sees you for who you are and grooms you for who you want to become. They're so welcoming and amazing and with the little I've learnt about this school so far, I'm so excited to see and experience all it has for me in becoming this Whole Person for the Whole World.

The Vintage Sewing Machine Museum is a place where visitors can learn about antique sewing machines from the 1800s. There are hundreds of machines on display, from non-electric treadles to beautiful hand-cranks and even a few industrial leatherworking treadles. Husband enjoyed learning about the history of sewing and seeing all the cool machines in the museum, and we plan on returning soon to take his classes.
Amazing collection of sewing machines, As a designer I love the variations on the one form. Also, the sewing ephemera is really beautiful! We could listen to Mr Binger tell us about the machines all day, such a great storyteller, and incredibly generous with his time and resources! Do yourself a favor and absolutely visit.
Ben Strawn — Google review
I didn't know what to expect here...but I ended up highly impressed. The collection itself is fairly impressive, but it's the collector who makes the experience. If I were to just look around, that might be nice, but I wouldn't really know what I was looking at. Make sure you get a guided tour that explains the history and advancements. I was very happy to donate more than I usually do for this very cool experience.

Even from texas he had so much knowledge and information! A must see !

Vintage Sewing Machines is the best place ever. The gentleman running this VSCM is very knowledgeable and very friendly and knows a lot about the machines. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is super amazing and he does a lot with the kids.

Sewing machines are the draw, but there is much more to this place. Owner WK will spend time with you, and if you listen, you will learn that this place is more about his passion to educate and mentor – kids and adults. WK runs a youth program that teaches students how to be confident and creative by using sewing machines. He does this in a way that involves safety, mechanics and engineering, and a belief in the limitless capabilities of people of any age – especially the youth. Plan to spend some time here.

We were pleasantly surprised when we visited the museum. Our host Mr. Binger was informative and entertaining. His knowledge regarding the collection of the thousands of sewing machines is amazing. Loved this place! My partner and I stopped by while passing through Tulsa and received such a warm welcome from WK. He was very knowledgeable and was very enthusiastic showing us around. We were kind of lucky to be the only ones visiting during that time and we were there for well over 2 hours. We left with really cool embroidered t-shirts and key-chains. I highly recommend!

You will be impressed. There are hundreds and hundreds of sewing machines and related accessories. You will feel bcentury of vintage machines from all over the world. Even if you don’t sew you will find the tour fascinating. You can browse on your own or pay extra for a guided tour. Give yourself at least an hour. It’s $10 per person admission.

This place alone is worth a trip to Tulsa from anywhere. Wayne's huge and meticulously organized collection on display is surpassed only by his enthusiasm, generosity, and comprehensive knowledge of the subject. No particular interest in sewing is needed to appreciate the general historical and industrial significance of the technology Wayne will explain and demonstrate. Sewing machines aren't just for clothing; they're used for tents, sails, book-binding, etc. An unfathomable number of sewing machines have been made since their invention, more than any other machine in world history, with an unmatched investment of research and development into their engineering and manufacture. We each got a chance to operate a leather sewing machine the size of a small automobile!

This was the most delightful museum I've ever been in. Allen Binger, the founder, gave us a personalized tour and we learned all about the great works they do there amd how the museum came to be. It is not necessary for you to be a sewist in order to enjoy this place. My two older brothers enjoyed it as much as I did. I highly recommend visiting. You won't be disappointed

Wow!! We didn’t know what to expect pulling up to the museum but we were quickly blown away by WK and the fantastic collection of vintage sewing machines and history here. One in our group of three is an avid seamstress, the others not so much. But I can confidently say we equally enjoyed our tour, there’s so much to see and learn and the unexpected bonus was the chance to sit at and use several machines. Mr. Binger is an incredible person and really makes this place. As he said, you tell yourself ‘this will take about an hour’ walking in and 3 hours later find yourself still captivated by your surroundings. So budget some time, bring a friend and get yourself over to this one of a kind (only one in the world we hear) Tulsa experience, you won’t regret it.

Then man who runs this place is a Saint among men. If you want to see wonderful sewing machines and have a very knowledgeable person share their insights knowledge and stories. This place is a must see!!! Drag your husband along he will definitely find things to appreciate. The craftsmanship in the restoration of these machines is at such a high level you would be hard pressed to find better representations.
Discovery Lab in Tulsa is a great place for children to explore science and technology through interactive exhibits. There are workshops that kids can participate in as well, making it the perfect destination for families looking to have some fun while learning.
Our 22 month old son had a BLAST. We are from Maryland, and this was way better than the children's museum we have in DC. The ball room was basically what I imagine my son would call heaven on earth. Very reasonably priced, and if we were local, we would definitely be members and visit weekly.

Great place to take the kids. There is something for all age groups and skill levels to enjoy. Located next to The Gathering Place, you can take your kids here the go straight to the park. It cost $10 for those 2 and up, but there are discounts if you become a member. The facility was clean and a majority of the attractions were operational. Lots of hands on learning centers and staff to help you if need be. Overall a great place to take the kids and adults that are kids at heart.

This children's museum is great. Perfect location by the river and the outdoor park. There is a cafe and gift shop available before you enter the exhibits. It got crowded quickly after opening. They charged me $10.00 for my two year old when I thought he would be free.

My boys and I have visited this place since its last location! The new lab that’s near the Gathering Place is absolutely amazing and provides such a cool space for kids to play, learn, and explore science! We have been to several children's museums across the country, and this felt a bit more like an indoor playground than most. The activities were limited and many lacked the learning element I have come to expect of children's museums. The water exhibit was really good, and maybe the earthquake one would have been better if the simulator was working. Also, several elements of exhibits were broken, which was a bit disappointing for my kids. We only spent a bit more than an hour here.

Very clean and well groomed, winding landscape with piped in bird sounds (pretty cool), all 100% self sustainable and always something on.... However, they do supply pet waste bags, but both drinking fountains (3 way) don't work at bottom for dogs to take a drink. All together a 10+ for really neat place to just sit and chill for a bit... There is nothing foolish about this coffee shop, unless we are talking about how underappreciated it is. Foolish Things is downtown adjacent, has ample parking and very helpful staff. If I had a suggestion it would be to add some semi private seating. I like to meet clients and partners out of the office fairly frequently and some semi privacy is appreciated. Not necessary, but appreciated. Overall this coffee shop is going on my list of places to visit again! Well done.

I cannot say enough great things about Foolish Things Coffee Company!
My boyfriend and I set out to find some beautiful latte art as a treat for his birthday.
We tried Coffee Shop on Cherry Street and were given crummy coffee and even worse service.
Feeling defeated I called around and struggled to find a coffee shop in town that said they could do latte art. Shocking, as most every coffee shop in town has pictures of latte art in their Google reviews. Most shops nearly laughed at my request or were rude and acted like we were asking for way too much. This wasn't during morning rush. This was late morning, almost afternoon.
When I called Foolish Things Coffee Company, I was greeted warmly and when I explained what we were looking for, the employee let us know that it would be no problem at all! She asked that we let them know when we ordered so she could get the manager to make sure our lattes came out perfect. They were not only willing, they were eager to provide us with everything we were looking for and more.
From the first moment on the phone, all the way to our final sip of our incredible lattes, we were blown away by Foolish Things Coffee Company. I cannot express in words what they made us feel.
Absolutely exceptional service from start to finish. They take great pride in their service and the product they deliver. The lattes were not only gorgeous, they each had their own unique design and they were absolutely, deliciously perfect in every single way! The atmosphere is welcoming, but also contemporary and cool. They have an industrial look and a great view of downtown Tulsa.
It was absolutely everything we were hoping for and then some. Foolish Things Coffee Company went above and beyond in delivering an exceptional experience for us. We cannot wait to go back!
Thank you to the employee and manager on shift for making us feel valued and for happily going above and beyond to make my boyfriends Birthday so special. Thank you to Foolish Things Coffee Company for giving Tulsa a quality coffee shop with a welcoming atmosphere!
We look forward to having many more incredible experiences here in the future!

Extremely dry and bland blueberry (maybe 5 blueberries total inside) muffin and small drip coffee was $7.31. A little overpriced given the quality. I came here because I saw a photo another reviewer posted for pancakes that looked perfect but they no longer offer them, I should have just left.

You guys made my birthday amazing with the incredible latte art you did. We were treated so poorly at Cherry Street coffee 30 minutes before we came in to this coffee shop and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us to make my birthday special. It was one of the most delicious lattes I've ever had. The lady working the front was so kind and thoughtful and the manager did some of the cleanest latte art I've ever seen in the city of Tulsa. I appreciate you guys so much! Thank you for taking pride in coffee & customer service.

First off, cleanliness was a concern. The espresso machine was dirty and buried in used and unwashed espresso shots. Dirty dish bins were sitting overflowed and unattended.
Tried two drinks from here, each with their own issues.
The mocha latte had a distinct bitter taste that fades to a faint but borderline gritty mocha flavor which eventually gives way to a sharp sourness that indicates the espresso was poorly roasted and over extracted. The mocha syrup was insufficient to cover up the technical shortcomings.
The rosewater lemonade was better if only for the fact that my expectations were already lower. It is cloyingly sweet and only has the faintest rose aftertaste and is overall lacking all balance.
The ambience is OK at best. It is not welcoming and has all the same manufactured charm and uniqueness of any other hipster coffee house.

The atmosphere was okay, didn't try the food so it could be good! They forgot my drink though and I waited 20-25 minutes for my coffee and it turned out to be super duper tiny for $7. They apologized but it didn't feel like they cared all that much. Maybe it'll be better next time!

Fantastic place for simple brunch options, a delicious coffee, working on your laptop. Could not recommend higher. Great wifi, access to outlets, seating, and space for some remote working.

I don't normally write negative reviews, but both my coffee and my friends were absolutely terrible today. I think that is the worst coffee that I've ever had😢 The person working was nice though.
The Mayo Hotel, located in the heart of Tulsa, is a luxurious accommodation with modern amenities and stylish guest rooms. The hotel was renovated in the 2000s and has nine event spaces equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound. It is popular for weddings and other formal events.
Pros:
We had a dinner party here, it was very nice.
The food was good, dessert was amazing, and the staff are absolutely the best.
We did not stay the night but the rooms are nice.
Cons:
Parking sucks, and the valet line was packed. Took nearly an hour to move 3 blocks, but that's not really on the Mayo.

The Mayo in Tulsa has been our go to destination for my wife and myself to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries .....for at least ten years now. It is one of the most expensive hotels in Tulsa and is rated 4 stars. The Mayo needs some help. The only place to eat at the hotel is basically a Starbucks. There is no place to have cocktail after 10:00 with your significant other even on the weekends. During peak check in and out times they only have one person working the front desk with four or five parties waiting. We stayed in room 507. The west facing window in our room had a one inch gap at the top letting very cold air in all the traffic noise of down town. The floor in our kitchenette was like a bouncy house with significant old water damage. The young man at the front desk at check in on Friday was truly doing a good job but he needed help. The management I am sure is going to sight staffing issues, covid.....but it has had 2 years to figure it out. I work in retail and we found out quickly that if you pay them what they deserve they will come to work. I did report the window problem to the front desk at checkout.

We stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the convention center and it having been a top tier property in the past (we had stayed there many times before 2020). This hotel has gone downhill very fast and is in desperate need of a complete renovation and expansion of its services if it hopes to survive. We had one room that had glazed windows that let in zero light and another that was like a basic apartment with a full giant kitchen (but had zero basic kitchen items). Neither was welcoming and both seemed tired and run-down. Food service is sorely lacking with nothing beyond 9pm.
It is not the hotel's fault that Tulsa's downtown is now filled with homeless people or that the city appears to have very little police presence. However, it is the hotel's fault that they continue to use a highly questionable valet service. Our car's glove compartment and center console was completely torn apart, and no attempt to even try to disguise this was made when they returned the car! It was obvious the valets and the hotel could care nothing about their patron's vehicles and belongings. We are just fortunate we had nothing of value in the vehicle! Stay away!

I am in Tulsa every month on business and stayed at the Mayo when my usual hotel was booked. Turned out to be a great choice, and a huge thanks to Mike Drew, Manager, for upgrading my room when the first had no outlets for my laptop except for behind the sofa. The upgraded room was perfect and a definite return visit. One suggestion would be for more food/drink outlets within the hotel.

I was not a guest at this hotel so I cannot share an experience about the rooms. However I did visit the rooftop bar at the hotel. Very nice view of Tulsa and the drinks were amazing! It was too windy to sit outdoors and drink but got a good view of the sunset.

The staff at The Mayo are the BEST! We stay here whenever we come to Tulsa. The location is so great and we are never disappointed with our room. But this trip Maria and the other front desk staff went above and beyond getting us into the right room. I accidentally booked a double but we wanted a king bed. She offer to call American Express on our behalf to get this approved and then found us the perfect room! Just another great experience at The Mayo. Thank you, Maria! See you next time!

I didn't actually get a room for the night. But the gentleman at the front desk let us check out the hotel. We went to a few different floors to check out the views. They have pictures down every hallway telling the story of this historical building, the famous people that stayed there, the beautiful events, and even the men who built The Mayo Hotel. It is all documented, framed, & lines the walls of the hotel. They even have a museum, unfortunately it was closed at the time. With all that being said I would definitely recommend it to family and friends & friends.

Best hotel I've been to in Tulsa. I was on a business trip and had an issue with a third-party booking company that had screwed up our reservation. The manager Mike Drew was very helpful and not only corrected our reservation, but also helped my coworker who is recovering from surgery with his bags. A+ for customer service, and a great room service menu as well. Would stay again!

Edit: Jim reached out to me after seeing this review. He kindly refunded me the cost of the bottle of wine and asked me to delete/edit this review. It's a shame that a poor public review was needed to get in touch with someone.
The only reason this review isn't 1 star is because the suite was lovely. The front of house staff aren't at all interested in customer service. I was made to feel as if I was a nuisance whilst speaking to them. I was overcharged for a bottle of wine, and was lied to about the reason why (taxes, yet the menu states all prices include taxes) when I questioned the price at checkout. I have tried to contact the hotel to speak to someone about this on numerous occasions, but the front desk either hang up, or forward me to a mailbox that is full. Very disappointing. Especially as this is our honeymoon and these little things tarnish our experience. Book somewhere else if you want to be treated well.

We went to the rooftop bar because we heard it had great views. We wanted the view at sunset so we went around 7 pm and it wasn't busy at all. There were 2 bartenders. One was nice, and one could care less that we were there. We ordered a martini and said well vodka was fine. We didn't expect the Mayo to have such awful cheap vodka as the well vodka. BUT we realized she still charged the upcharge for Skyy vodka after she gave us cheap vodka. We also asked if they had food we could order up there, and we were told there is a small bites menu, and someone outside had it. I guess they only had 1 menu to look at. We never saw the menu. The second, nice bartender, made my drink and it was very good but after just one drink, we decided to leave. The view was nice, but the service was unacceptable.

The Mayo is amazing! Highly recommended. Classic style, beautiful rooms, and an incredible rooftop bar! But the best part of the Mayo is the staff! Wonderful people! Maria and Mike D. Did everything they could to accommodate us after I made a mistake booking our room. They were so pleasant and very helpful! Their hard work saved our evening!

Stayed at the Mayo Hotel this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. Great service, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Maria at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back and recommend you check this place out. Convenient location in the heart of Tulsa.

I was there for an event. The ballroom was beautiful, and the food was delicious! My concern was the lack of working elevators. We were on the 16th floor, and when the event ended, we had to wait more than 20 minutes. I'm not sure how long everyone else betide us had to wait for an elevator when the event was over.

The Mayo was an absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff was amazing, very helpful and quick to answer any questions. The valet service was quick as well. Walking distance to so many things to do. Also I absolutely loved the bed and bedding! I only wish I knew what brand they used because I would love some at home! We will be back for sure if ever in Tulsa again!

This hotel definitely has that nostalgic feel, straight out of a movie. But the rooms have been remodeled and look really nice. The only downside is that the heater is in the room so you could hear it turn on and off all night long which can interrupt your sleep.

We attended the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships and stayed at the Mayo Hotel because it was within walking distance of the BOK Center. We had problems with the shower drain and the noisy heating unit in the room, but the speedy maintenance man corrected the issues quickly. The housekeepers were also great, and the receptionists were so helpful with restaurant choices. The location was perfect for walking to the many excellent places to eat. Thank you, Mayo Hotel, for the most enjoyable stay in Tulsa!

My husband and I booked a honeymoon suite on our wedding night but they upgraded us to the presidential suite! It was really awesome! The room was the size of an apartment. We had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. The only thing that was a little weird was that they didn't have 24 hour room service. But we did utilize the Starbucks downstairs. Side note: There was a bar on the rooftop that was kind of neat, they were playing weird music though so we didn't stay long. But super chill atmosphere!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The rooms are so BEAUTIFUL. Didn't want to leave. LOL. Staff is so nice also along with the Vallet. Went here a couple years ago for a wedding and loved the place. If I lived in Oklahoma I would consider this place as a venue for a wedding also.
Penny Speich — Google review
October 2023 - After dinner at a nearby fine steak house, we went here for a night cap to see what was special about this place. I can't speak for the rooms, as we were staying just down the street at another popular hotel, but their history has some famous people who have stayed here.
For non guests, the rooftop bar is open on Thursdays and Fridays. We went there on a Friday because my partner watched the "Tulsa King" show on the airplane on the way there and it was his birthday already in Europe.
Not impressive to me. Extremely loud speakers with a DJ playing dance music makes it a place to leave quickly unless you're under 30 at best, very intoxicated or hard of hearing. Not much of a view as most of it is blocked by the cement railing. We did get a few photos by putting our hands through the barrier... Bar food menu. Two drinks cost $38. bucks. This was my experience, however, there might be a totally different interpretation for hotel guests on private nights.

The first time I came here was for my best friend's wedding reception in 2007. The atmosphere was top notch then and it still is as of last Friday. The history goes deep with this hotel including major historical figures that graced their presence way back when. The rooms are really nice and it would be safe to call them very comfortable apartments or condos. The great ballroom open area is an impressive sight. There is a lot more to say and I plan on adding more in the future.

I’m quite confused on what to say. The penthouse bar should be avoided. Patio heaters didn’t work, couldn’t make certain drinks because they didn’t have the ingredients, drink served in a chipped glass and the nachos were sad.
Front desk greeting, especially Kim Garcia, was excellent. Maria doesn’t seem too happy in the position.
Assumed they were bringing up the luggage but when it didn’t arrive we went and retrieved it.
Great potential and my best guess is it’s loosing money but I’d look for other options.

A hotel that is not worthy of the building it's in
Beautiful lobby but that's about it. Our room had a kitchenette, very little furniture with massive empty spaces. Bathroom is very simple and hotel needs a revamp for the price it charges. It doesn't offer breakfast and WiFi didn't work at all!

As a production company, there are places you like to do shows and others you don’t. And it’s always about the staff. Everyone at the Mayo has always been awesome. I show up with a big pile of speakers and lights and boxes and get in everyone’s way, often make a big loud noise, and then take forever to pack up and I never get anything but helpful smiling faces.

Very disappointed with their service! We had an engagement today at the rooftop the Mayo hotel knew we had family that would be using the elevator to get to the penthouse. Our first inconvenience, the elevator was locked and family members were told they would have to wait until 4:00pm to be able to get to the top, A manager had to be called to unlock the elevator. Second inconvenience, we asked for directions to the restroom and the bartender had her back towards us and gave us directions verbally didn’t acknowledge to turn around and make eye contact same thing happened when we asked for a broom to clean she fail to acknowledge we were waiting for her, third inconvenience having hotel guest enter the penthouse during our paid time invading our celebration. I felt we were treated this way because we are Hispanic. The hotel is fancy, The valet parking Assistance Was on point, the view is very nice, but they need to work on their service!

Wife and I went down to the Mayo to grab a drink and enjoy the view, well everything was pretty good. Except the drink, first off $15 was high for a liquid marijuana, on top of that I barley tasted the alcohol. I can spend $5 on a tequila sunrise at Osage casino witch will knock you down. So I would not suggest going their for a drink if you want your money worth.
The Ambassador Hotel Tulsa is a luxurious downtown Tulsa hotel, famous for its history as one of the founding members of Marriotts Autograph Collection. The hotel has 55 rooms and suites, each with generous windows for natural light and plush beds. Some bathrooms feature bespoke bath products.
An unexpectedly large room, comfy bed and nice amenities. The lobby is pretty but very small, so it is not good for more than 1 or 2 families at a time.
The shower was small with no bench. Water pressure and temperature was good. The toiletries were good quality. It oddly took the lights a solid moment to respond to the light switch.
The thermostat in our room was not working on arrival but they immediately sent maintenance up to fix it.

This is a lovely hotel and super comfortable beds and pillows. It’s quiet and no street noise. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant are amazing.Tyler is friendly and helpful and really made me feel appreciated as a Platinum member. The Chalkboard hotel restaurant is very good and has a nice bar. The parking is free and there are plenty of spaces to park right outside the entrance door. I travel almost every week for business and I can say this is by far my favorite hotel. Also, for those who are sensitive or have allergies to fragrance. The rooms are great. No strong smell of cleaning products etc. The lobby has a light signature fragrance which I could do without but if that’s my only complaint, I’m a happy guest! Thank you Ambassador Hotel for making me feel welcome and at home B while traveling for work.

The building and rooms were amazing. It’s a quieter area away from downtown with plenty of parking. The Chalkboard bartender was awesome as well. Very clean! We had a corner room, so lots of light. No microwave but a very tiny refrigerator. Room was very spacious. Loved the decor. Staff was very helpful.
The heater wasn't working and the toilet wouldn't stop running unless you jiggled the handle. Maintenance was very prompt in fixing the heater.
If you want one of the snacks that are in the room, be prepared to pay a high price.

Nice place. Price per night is rather high for what the entirety of the hotel has to offer. In comparison to their sister hotel The National in OKC, The Ambassador does not offer the atmosphere nor the variety of restaurants or shops on site.

Love this little gem of a hotel.Gorgeous design and style. I often get inspiration from for my own home design. They are also puppy friendly (on the porch) and have been super kind to our two Yorkies. Last month we left something in the safe and Ana and Michelle took great care to return it. As a cynical New Yorker I was pleasantly surprised and frankly, shocked nothing was missing. Staff have very high integrity. Special staff/owners are Alex for running such a great ship, Kelsey who used to be bar manager but I think may be promoted, if not, she should be 😉 and Michelle, the front desk manager who repaired my drain, made sure my jewelry was returned along with Ana. Alex, you have a great team. 🫶

I had a perfect stay at The Ambassador. The building is beautiful and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly, the complimentary bottles of water at check-in were a nice touch. We dined at The Chalkboard downstairs and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the short rib and the Wellington bites! Cocktails were delicious as well, and our servers were always friendly and attentive. On a personal note, I was there during the cold snap - typically the hotel offers airport transportation, but because of the weather, I was told initially at check-out that it wasn’t available. Disappointing but understandable, of course - BUT - the hotel’s general manager then offered to drive me personally! Incredible service, would absolutely stay again!

Room was excellent, service was also outstanding though from all the staff. Shout out to Karen on the night shift for being extremely helpful and focused on making sure we had a great stay!
The hotel restaurant is also outstanding, ate there for breakfast and lunch on different days and the food was great.
Only complaint, if any, is the location is somewhat secluded, but if you want a quality hotel it is worth it to stay a bit off the beaten path.

Gorgeous hotel. It seemed a little unassuming from the outside and I was a little worried at first but ended up being very impressed by the time I made it to the room. Only complaints I have are that the water gets so hot that it almost doesn’t get cold in the tub/shower and there wasn’t a pool which would have been nice in the hot summer months. Other than that, the entire stay was fantastic. Front desk reception was top notch.

Fantastic service, rooms were mostly immaculate (some of the paint had faded), furniture was well kept. Miranda in housekeeping was beautiful to me when I stayed, very patient peaceful environment. Much like my grandmother's house. Thank you for the comfort. Only gripes were that the concierge doesn't go all night, only goes 3 miles out, and the fire alarm went off. Fitness center was fantastic and anything else I needed was accounted for, food was incredible.

Tallgrass is a chic and rustic establishment situated in downtown Tulsa, which offers creative New American cuisine crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The venue has a modern ambiance and provides an oasis for its patrons. The menu features delectable dishes such as tacos, bone marrow, pork belly, meatloaf with poblano gravy among others. The pork belly comes highly recommended because of the amazing sauce and generous serving size of 12 to 14 slices of pork.
Enjoyed this farm to table restaurant- we ordered kale salads, farm market salads, bison burger-Yum, chicken, short ribs, scallops, and dessert consisted of Chocolate brûlée, carrot cake with caramel frosting, fresh strawberries on pound cake. The ginger ale drink had a light touch of fresh ginger and had a wonderful aroma. Service was excellent.

This place is very cute and a nice, modern oasis in downtown Tulsa. We had the tacos, bone marrow, and the pork belly as appetizers. I would definitely recommend the pork belly. The sauce was amazing and there were 12 to 14 slices of pork. As an entree I had the meatloaf with poblano gravy. The gravy made the dish. The piece of meatloaf was monstrously huge. I could only eat half of it. But the poblano gravy was both original and flavorful, and not too spicy to ruin the dish for somebody without a high heat tolerance. I would definitely return. My only complaint was that the service was a little slow and I had to continuously cue them in to our table's needs.

This is a bad place. Waitresses are rude if you are not a regular townie and will look down on you if you are not wearing a suit. The food was completely burnt and tasted like coal (no I haven't tasted coal before but now after this I feel I have). Amateur stuff. come on guys when someone is spending 20-30 bucks on an entree the least you can do is not burn it black (wish I had taken pictures). It was the case with everybody at the table! A 12 year old will do better in the kitchen. Please don't go here! All the other reviews are lies. Never going back!

The service here was great and the food surpassed expectation. With deep roots in the food industry I understand how compicated the ,what seems to be simple idea, of farm to table can be, I admire this establishment and the concept they are trying to create. I started with the warm salad and the ribs, both were fantastic , we had the spicy fried chicken and duck jambalaya, the jamba was my personal favorite. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and hope to visit again soon.

The food was great, mimosas were perfect, and our food came out quickly. I would love to give this place a 5 star raiting, but the service we were given left me feeling really slighted.
A day before we went to eat at the restaurant we made a reservation for 11:30. We arrived at 11:15. The host (who was rude) took us to an extremely small table against a barrier wall. We sat down but quickly realized that it would be too small and we wanted to sit in the back of the restaurant where the lighting was better. So I got up and asked the hostess if we could move to another table in the back of the restaurant where there is more space and better lighting. She said no because they were all filled from reservations. I completely understand that, but we also had made a reservation. So even though the back of the restaurant was no where near full and there were several tables open we couldn't sit there because they were "reserved".
So we moved to the bar towards the back of the restaurant.
Directly behind us there were at least 4 open tables. So while we order our food and drinks and hung out I watched the tables. Not a single person, the entire time we were there, sat at any of the open tables. Not one. And we were there for a good amount of time. I feel like for whatever reason they just didn't want to seat us at a table. I really liked the restaurant but that just frustrates me. If they were actually reserved it wouldn't have been a problem. But the table I wanted to eat at was empty when we got there, while we were there, and when we left. But we still had to sit at bar. The whole thing was really frustrating. I just fell like we spent a good amount of money there, only to be shoved to the bar.

A monument of reconciliation for the Tulsa riot in 1921.
Not really an interesting place to visit unless you’re really into the history of Tulsa.
- There was never any real reconciliation in Tulsa after the riot but this park is a place to remind us of the dark past of the city.

Appreciated the use of sculpture, explanatory text and personal anecdotes to tell the hisstory of black Oklahomans and the violence they experienced. Also an inspiring beautiful, peaceful place.
Billy's is a hamburger restaurant located in the BOK Center that offers a variety of menu items including wraps, salads, and onion rings. The Theta burger at Billy's is known to be the best burger in town for many years. The restaurant has exceptional southern hospitality and is highly welcoming to its customers. It is a popular spot for people attending concerts who enjoy Theta or Hickory burgers and delicious onion rings.
As soon as they heard my accent I was hit with the kind of southern hospitality you thought only existed in movies. Extremely welcoming and the burger was fantastic!

Great place to get a Theta or Hickory burger when going to a concert, also they have excellent onion rings as well.
