The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens are a sculpture museum located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The gardens feature over 100 of the sculptor Ann Weaver Norton’s works, which date back to 1905. The gardens are also home to the artist’s former home and studio, as well as educational signage about each work. There are art programs for both adults and children offered at the Gardens.
This is an exceptional and historical sculpture garden with incredible sculpture throughout, with the artist's studio open to the public. Incredible amount of orchids

If you’re into Art this is a MUST. I’ve been to internationally acclaimed museums all over the world and this place is a true gem. Incredibly grateful to the wonderful staff that was thrilled to educate about Ann Norton’s life and creations. Also, the museum shop has snacks you can enjoy on the premises which was quite a delight. We came on a Sunday when they had jazz on the lawn which looked quite enjoyable.

This garden is stunning, beautiful, and amazing sculptures. The people working there were very nice and knowledgeable about its history.
This place was so amazing that I literally fell and got hurt. But it's clearly my fault I got caught up on taking pictures and videos. I missed that last step and fell. But the two ladies who worked there were kind, gave my wife the first aid stuff, and patched me up back together. They gave us a refund and called the next day to see how I was. That meant a lot. So much so that my parents went to the museum the next day
Thank you again for your help
We'll definitely be back

A beautiful and serene place to visit for 1 hour or so.The art outside is one of a kind and the garden is small but extremely nice, diverse, and well maintained. The Orchids everywhere adds on the beauty of this place. I took my dad (visiting Florida for the first time) on a Wednesday so it was very calm. The temporary art expo inside was great as well. They have a small gift shop and an outdoor sitting area and of course the atelier where the artist used to put her magic.I definitely recommend this place to visit when you’re around West Palm area !!

Her studio and their former house has been beautifully kept up. They offer different public and private events, so check out their schedule regularly.

i’ve been doing business in Palm Beach Island for over 20 years, and just recently found this wonderful place. Entering, you would think it’s just a nice home near the waterway, upon walking in your mouth drops. It has amazing gardens and grand sculptures, and just a peaceful Zen feel to it, there’s some very interesting artwork inside the small home museum. I highly recommend checking this out. There’s also an adorable Courtyard restaurant for lunch.

Absolute gem of a house and studio of Smith College graduate, mid century sculptor Ann Norton. Incredible exhibits taken place in the house and gardens, interspersed with Norton's works that are often inspired by her global travels to ancient cultural sites. Best thing I did on this Palm Beach trip!

Wonderful sculpture garden in a botanical garden setting. Art pieces were worth seeing, but the overall setting made the trip worthwhile. Seeing Ann Norton's studio and the art galleries in the house was a bonus. Worth a visit.

A hidden jem to explore! We went for the Jordi Molla art exhibit but wound up spending more time outside enjoying the sculpture garden. Beautiful place to visit and take pictures

What an honor to gaze upon the work and tools of Ann Weaver Norton. While the gardens are breathtaking, I was mesmerized by the studio. This is a place of serenity and time is easily lost here in the beauty of art and nature. The ladies at the desk and newly added gift shop were delightful. Street side parking was free. This is open seasonally so do check hours of operation.

Definitely worth a visit, on the small side so it’s a great add on to your vacation. It does get buggy with the ponds so pack spray.

We visited with friends on a Saturday afternoon. It was lovely and quiet and well worth the visit. It isn’t flashy, but it is a lovely tranquil space with lush vegetation and interesting artwork by Ann Norton. Her workshop is interesting and educational.
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a refuge for more than 170 animals. They offer guided tours and interactive programs for children, but reservations are required. The animals appear to be well-kept and healthy, and the staff are organized and friendly. Restrooms are available on-site, but visitors must be escorted if they need to use them during a tour. Guests must stay with the group at all times and touching or handling the animals is allowed at their own risk as stated by signage in the area.
We had Such an awesome experience today at the McCarthys wildlife sanctuary. I highly recommend it. We took a two hour guided tour and learned so much about all the animals. Our guide was awesome. You can tell she loves the animals. They are all well cared for and their habitats are all clean. Thank you, we will be back again.
Andrea Braunstein — Google review
We had the best time! Jeremy was our guide and he made the tour so much fun and educational! My three boys LOVED being able to learn about the animals at the sanctuary and interact with them! We can tell that Jeremy sincerely loves and cares about the animals there. The enclosures were clean and the animals appeared well taken care of- which made us happy. I appreciate the sanctuary takes in the animals that their owners abandon, and their efforts to educate people to be more responsible when choosing to have exotic pets, and about finding a way to coexist with wildlife in harmony. Human is the number one cause of extinction of many species, and we need more places like this sanctuary to remind people of the importance of conservation.
We would definitely come back when we visit the area again!

I would highly recommend visiting McCarthys Wildlife Sanctuary during your stay in south Florida! The staff were very knowledgeable and amazing, it’s easy to get to and the grounds were clean and beautiful. Not to mention, the animals seemed very happy and enjoyed us visiting!

My husband and I came here to see all the animals! Jeremy took us on a great tour and genuinely cares about the animals and provided the group with great facts about the individual animals and their species. I would definitely recommend coming here, rather than other places that have wild animals as this place rescues and rehabilitates animals and does what is in the best interest for the animals!

Great sanctuary! Things were well organized, plenty of parking just outside the main gate. Our guide was well informed about the different animals, and there was even a chance to get up close and personal in the reptile house. There are restrooms, and a gift shop on site.

It is a hidden gem, being so close to the big cats was so surreal. Our guide Bianca was very informative. We enjoyed her company very much. They had a lot of snakes, almost every snake 🐍 including rattle snakes and venomous snakes.Turtles, tarantula and other animals which were all saved in some way. That's why it is good to visit it to help pay for the rescued animals.

Very clean and healthy looking animals! organized and kind workers. It was a fun experience and I would recommend checking this place out if you want a little more personal setting
Signed up for the tour on Friday. They have restrooms here but if you need to go during a tour you'll be escorted back. You stuck together as a group and are not allowed to wander off alone. Looks to have plenty of parking outside the premise. once inside, they have tables to sit underneath the shade as well as water bottles to buy
You're allowed to touch the animals and handle them at your own risk as stated by the sign
A very cool place that takes care of the animals here

You get to learn not only about the animals but their individual backstories and how they arrived there. Such a great place. I can't wait till my son turns 5 next you so I can bring him as well. Did I mention they let you hold some of the animals. Super cool experience for a family or a date.

Found this little suburban sanctuary on Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. Tours are only available by calling them direct and only a few days a week at limited times. If you like small group tours, this is for you. The animals are very well cared for, even spoiled and I’m glad they have a place like this they can call home. Definitely a must see in the West Palm Beach area.

Paw-some! Very informative. Although they have short hours, this is for the benefit of the animals. Members of our party held several different animals, like a kinkajou, turtles, snakes and spiders. This was the closest I ever stood near large cats, lions, jaguar, panther, etc. they also have a liger that I did not know existed.
Suzanne La Plante — Google review
Great experience seeing the animals, including a number of big cats. It's not setup like a traditional zoo, so your tour is just a handful of people and you can get very close to the enclosures which makes for excellent photos. Proceeds from tour go to helping care for the animals so it's a great cause as well. They also engage in animal rehabilitation. Highly recommend.

We took our kid as a birthday gift from family members. We absolutely LOVE IT! Bianca was our tour guide. She was AMAZING! The whole family will enjoy this experience. You learn so much and will see animals that otherwise, you would probably never encounter(like a liger). The stories behind every animal are also so incredible. Bianca is very knowledgeable and kept the visit very fun for all the kids. We got to held and touch different animals.
We've been living in the Palm Beach area for years and we didn't know about this place. I'm happy we got to see it. I highly recommend it!
Okeeheelee Park is a 900-acre water park with horseback riding, biking, and other activities. It's one of the best places to go in West Palm Beach for outdoor activities.
Okeeheelee is a large, beautiful public park. There are plenty of long and short hiking trails, many of which are partly shaded by tree canopies. Other activities to be enjoyed here include fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, cycling, BMX racing, and water sports such as kayaking, water skiing, and jet skis. The park is kid and pet friendly, much of it is wheelchair accessible, and there's no fee for admission.

Dog friendly trails. Love revisiting this place with good friends. My friend enjoyed taking pictures with her canon. Athena(my dog) enjoys running loose in the trails of the south part of Okeeheelee. Enjoyed wine during 4th of July with other friends on the dock to get dogs away from the noise. Be careful! In the evening venomous snakes(water moccasin possibly) did start swimming parallel to the dock. We left as soon as we saw one and someone else spotted another.

The nature center is only open Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday so try to visit on those days if you want to go in the nature center. This place has way more than the nature center though. It has lots of trails too And for the birders ; there are lots of bird houses and bird feeders . All in all it’s a great place for nature.

By far one of the best parks in South Florida. You can have the whole family here, morning runs here are delightful, and there's no shortage of bike paths! Bathrooms are also clean and well maintained. I've yet to find a park that even holds a candle to Okeeheelee in South Florida due to all of the amenities that you can find here. It checks off all the boxes, even has a dedicated dog park, and ample picnic areas throughout. You won't regret stopping by and spending a leisurely day here alone or with some family and or friends!

I had a great experience here. I came on a Sunday, and most of the pavilions were filled. We ended up finding one, but the charcoal grill was filled with water 😞. My grandpa was a fire fighter and was handy enough to think of using a stick to empty the water and using a towel that he always had laying around to dry it. As you can see, we ended up making some delicious food 😋. The people next to us had a birthday party and had soccer goals that were about half my height. Great memories 😊

This nature preserve is a wetlands ecosystem that stretches over nearly 30 square miles and is popular for its fresh water and educational opportunities. The preserve provides a regional attraction as well as a utility for the city, and includes hiking trails, public education programs, and visitor attractions.
Parking is easy, admission is free, and it's a beautiful, peaceful place to hike. There are short and long trails for hiking and biking. The terrain is mostly level, so it's fine for children and all fitness levels. There's a dock and a pond off one of the trails where you can fish (I believe it's catch and release). This is one of our favorite places to hike because the trees offer some shade so you aren't in direct sunlight the whole way. We always see interesting critters out here. There are benches and picnic tables in certain areas and public restrooms. The park closes at dark, but if you're a little late leaving, the gate will automatically open to let you out.

Great spot for a long or short walk. It's all on a boardwalk. Great open views in several spots and there is a nice picnic area near the parking overlooking a great mash with Lilly pads. Absolutely breathtaking. The Cypress boardwalk took you through many different areas, from pine forest to marshy areas to lakes. There were a lot of birds and reptiles to see, and the boardwalk was very open. It looked well taken care of and there were lots of little shelters where you can sit down in a rocking chair and enjoy the view. It was supposed to be a rainy day, but in Florida I never let the weather change my plans. It was nice having a little shelters to duck into for the showers, but otherwise it was a very nice walk. I stopped at the nature center in the staff there were very helpful and friendly. They had little informational plaques everywhere with facts about nature, wildlife and the watershed. The maps they have available really helped me plan out my hikes. All in all I would highly recommend checking this place out if you like wild Florida, birds, and alligators. Next I went to hog hammock trail, which was more of a dirt path through the palmettos and pine forests. It had rained, so the trail was a little soggy but never very wet. I didn't see as much wildlife on this trail, but I could see where it would be very nice for biking as the scenery was beautiful. It started to storm as soon as I got back to the trailhead, so I didn't get to do the eagle lake loop, but that's just something I can look forward to next time!

Grassy Waters is a 20 square mile marshy wilderness, this clean natural wetland provides the drinking water for West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach.
Great place to experience an easy nature walk on a boardwalk, or a hike on sometimes wet trails. They have a nice nature center building. But the best thing about Grassy Waters are the many affordable $10.00 activities that they offer to the public each month. Activities include but are not limited to guided walks, and guided canoe and kayak trips.
The Manatee Lagoon Eco-Discovery Center is a great place to learn about manatees, who are often referred to as sea cows. The center is open from November 15 through March 31, but you can visit it year-round if the manatees are in the area. There are many activities and events scheduled at the center for family enjoyment, so make sure to check their website before your visit.

Prior to your visit go on there website and check out the Manatee cam. As one of the managers explained Manatee's are notorious for no-shows. Nonetheless, If you have kids and need something free to do, bring them here.
What they offer? (From their website)
There are other fun family options that are offered at Manatee Lagoon throughout the year. Manatee Lagoon staffers have created an extensive calendar of activities, ranging from daily educational presentations, yoga on the waterfront observation deck, programs for kids to story and more. Visit our events calendar to access the schedule and registration details.
Manatee Lagoon is one of Palm Beach County's fun and engaging family-friendly attractions, with interactive, entertaining exhibits that tickle your curiosity about the environment of the Lake Worth Lagoon and the wonderful world of manatees.
The only downside is I needed to know if they had wheel chairs available and because the city runs it ,the call goes directly to the power and light company which doesn't make sense. If you are not on the property how are you able to answer customers questions?

Even though it was just out of season to see Manatees in the water. Our experience was better than I expected. The outside grounds and the boardwalk areas were just nice. Inside the facility was a very well laid out museum of fish tanks, wall art, photos which were educational and interesting 🤔 about the history of the surrounding areas. Parking and museum access were all free. What a great thing (FPL)Florida Power and Light has done for us all.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Manatee Lagoon Center on a sunny afternoon, making it the perfect complement to a morning spent at the zoo. The center's main attraction is undoubtedly the manatees when they are around, and I was excited to learn that they prefer warmer water. Fortunately, there's a nearby power plant that helps keep the water temperature cozy during the winter months, making it the best time to catch a glimpse of these gentle giants. Though, on my visit, I could spot only a couple of them lingering in the deeper parts of the water.
The center itself is a small but educational building that emphasizes the importance of preserving manatees and ocean life. I was impressed with their efforts to spread awareness and promote conservation. What's more, the best part was that the admission was entirely free, making it accessible to all visitors.
The tour took around an hour, giving ample time to stroll around and take in the fascinating exhibits. The building had an upstairs area with a small art gallery, and I noticed what appeared to be a conference room and an observation deck, adding versatility to the space.
Cleanliness is always crucial to me, and I was pleased to find the Manatee Lagoon Center impeccably maintained. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, which is always a good sign of a well-managed establishment.
The ambiance was incredibly relaxing, providing a serene environment to learn and appreciate these wonderful creatures. Being close to nature and understanding its significance left a lasting impression on me. It's an ideal place to wind down and connect with the marine world.
Overall, my visit to the Manatee Lagoon Center was enjoyable and enlightening. If you have an interest in marine life preservation or simply want a peaceful escape from the bustle of everyday life, I highly recommend stopping by this gem of a place. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the experience is both educational and rejuvenating, and the best part is, it won't cost you a dime.

Go to Manatee Lagoon in season! I went the last weekend they were open and it was such a wonderful experience. We didn’t see any manatees just one passing by, but the museum is really awesome and relaxing on the harbor was beautiful. The staff was kind and talked to us. Also it’s FREE! (Definitely make a donation if you are able to)

Ok so we had a wonderful trip to Ft Lauderdale Florida. We went to the Manatee Lagoon to see what the family has been watching online. I have to say I wasn’t thinking it was going to be great but to my surprise it was really cool seeing them. I was amazed at all of the fish in the lagoon. We even saw some Bull Sharks.
The information center was great tons of stuff related to preserving them.a great gift shop with the prices not to high. You can also make donations. Clean restrooms and the personnel working there is very knowledgeable and friendly.
I would go again, also remember that it’s seasonal meaning that if the weather is cooler it’s much more likely that you will see them in the lagoon.
The big animals can move too so don’t think
because they are big the don’t move fast.
Victor Stanley (Shar and Vic) — Google review
A fun time for adults and children alike. This attraction is run on donations. The employees or volunteers were very nice. There is a small educational area and gift shop in the building. Outside, there are two levels for viewing the manatees. There is also a walking path along the water and a few places to sit. A couple of "garden" areas allow for some nice picture opportunities. It is my understanding that the proceeds from the gift shop help fund research and education for the manatees and laugerhead turtles. This location offers tours and educational information for schools etc. The bathrooms were in need of a bit of cleaning, but it was very busy so it could be the reason the bathroom was less than desirable. Definitely stop by and see the manatees. You won't be disappointed.

What a perfect day! Saw some manatees, fish, sting rays, sharks, lizards, etc!! The place was full of life, fun and we stayed for hours! Great place to visit and a must see for any person who wants to see some sea life up close. I wish we had better pictures but we saw them faster than we could take pictures!

A beautiful place, we came here in March and there were only two manatees during the whole day, we didn’t have a chance to see them, only some fish. But the museum is nice and informative, the view is awesome, this place is great to visit with a kid

Very fun place for all ages. Educational and interactive. I this was my 3rd time, I finally got to see real manatees this time very exciting. And the best part is it’s free parking and free entry. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable.

Cute little place... Very informative!
The staff is amazing!
Plus we got to see a Manatee!
No need to buy any tickets... It's FREE!
They do accept donations.

Great experience and it is free, so definitely recommend shopping here. They have lots of benches along the lagoon that you can sit on and look for the manatees. A member of the staff mentioned that the manatees are more active in the morning, so get there early! They also have a live stream on their website which is pretty cool.

The Kravis Center is a modern complex with 4 performance venues that hosts a range of national and local productions. It is often known as a premiere community center in the Southeast United States and offers a variety of entertainment options, including Broadway theater.
Hamilton eas absolutely fantastic. The audience was awesome, energetic, and engaged which no doubt boosted the performance. Entering & exiting the facility was well coordinated & efficient.

Had a wonderful time . Beautiful theater and excellent show. The only down side was the hearing assistance devices. The first one did not work and the second one only sort of worked. Fortunately my dad was still able to understand most of the show.

We've visit this center for a show and again for a private event. The stage theater is clean, well set up, and has a kind staff. The event ballroom we used was spacious, inviting, well staffed, and I would definitely participate in an event held there again.

Beautiful venue in an amazing location, plenty of restaurants and things to do within walking distance before and after the show.
I went back to the kravis center for the first time in 10 years and it's as beautiful as ever. My only complaint is that the seat I had in the orchestra section felt cramped, I'm 6'2" though so It's a common problem for me.
Floyd nation rocked, will definitely go see them again when they come back to the kravis.

Very nice performing arts center. We recently went there for "Madagascar: The Musical", it was a blast. The kids loved it. Parking is a little tricky, so is traffic in and out. Plan accordingly. There's not a bad seat in the house.

Absolutely loved it! Saw Stomp and it was great. Parking was easy, entry was a breeze and went upstairs for a glass of wine before the show. I had fabulous seats. Just enjoyed all aspects of the experience. Exiting the complex was easy as well with police guiding traffic. Can't wait to go back.

Amazing center. I had the opportunity to attend the final performance of the Palm Beach Symphony for their '23-'24 performance season. The staff here at the center are courteous and very professional. If you're able to attend, I highly recommend this center.

It is only this last year that we decided to reconnect with the arts community. My girlfriend and I recently watched The Nutcracker performed by the Palm Beach Ballet. The show was brilliantly done and we have decided to make it an annual tradition. Yesterday we came for Salute to Vienna and it was yet another spectacular concert. The Kravis Center is leading the way with its health and safety protocols. There is not a public venue that we have felt more safe in. We highly recommend seeing any performance here and there is a nice calendar of events coming this Spring.

I loved the Wicked show at the Kravis center. Ease of buying tickets online, free parking in garage. Plenty of cashiers and drink/food options. Ate in their small cafe overlooking the lobby before the show. Theater is beautiful with comfortable seating. So much talent onstage and underneath stage in the orchestra. Was a great experience. The themed drinks were amazing as well. I will be back for more shows in the future.

My first experience of going to a show at the Kravis Center was wonderful! A great place to see a show with every seat seems to be a great place to see the stage. We saw Tori Amos there and it was great!

This was my first time at the Kravis Center for the performing arts. I went to a concert for David Foster & Katherine McPhee with “special guest” which turned out to be Josh Groban (yay). So the whole process of ordering tickets online to receiving the tickets to getting an update the day before the event on where to valet or free parking was very helpful. All in all, it was great experience except for my seats. MEZZ C 419 . These are the cheep seats even if you pay $150 for them they are on the upper balcony, the furthest away from the stage, and even though the acoustics were great the visibility of the stage was just too far to feel fully immersed. Theater was super clean. Ushers were extremely helpful and I would definitely go to the theater again, but I will not be sitting at the mezzanine level. You can see how far I had to zoom with the clarity of photos/videos I uploaded. I highly recommend you go to this beautiful performing arts center but do sit elsewhere. 😃

The Kravis Center is a beautiful and luxurious Performing Arts venue in West Palm Beach. We are so grateful and lucky to have it in our backyard! Centrally located Downtown, surrounded by great restaurants, offers free garage parking and valet parking for a fee.
New Year’s Day, our family tradition for the past 5 years is to attend “Salute to Vienna”!Best performance ever! Great conductor and performers!
Hospitality at its best! From the minute you enter through security you receive a warm and inviting welcome. Security is painless and efficient. Safety first!
We, of course, went right to the bar to pre-order our champagne for intermission. All the bartenders are friendly, professional, efficient and knowledgeable! The prices are a bit high but not crazy like at NFL Stadiums! They also offer a full bar, variety of sandwiches, salads and snacks. They now have covered cups to bring your drinks into the Theater. Wonderful!
The beautiful poinsettia Christmas Tree is always the focal point of the main lobby during the Holidays. It’s majestic and magical! Perfect for a selfie!
All the volunteer ushers were smiling and helpful. The seating is easy to follow and the seats are comfortable. The Orchestra Section is tight but not a bad seat in the house…
The performance was outstanding! Gets better every year! They offer a wide variety of performances. As a member, I take advantage of all they have to offer! Consider becoming a member to get first option on tickets. Totally worth the investment.
Intermission was perfect! Our champagne 🥂 was waiting for us. So convenient and allowed us to enjoy it with no waiting!
The audience flow is expertly managed professionally by great staff! Warm, welcoming and efficient! Can’t wait for my next visit! I highly recommend!

Wow what a performance.also the staff and ticket people were super nice and easy going . The bar and snack bar are cheap not like the movie theater where u have to take a second mortgage out of u want to get something for everyone. Lol we saw holidaze the performance was spectacular, seats were great, lighting was superior to anything around the state of FL. It's also a historic theater. Will go again soon

The Kravis Center is amazing. We were visiting from out of state to see Mannheim Steamroller. We love the group and the performance was excellent!! What a fabulous venue. The theatre is massive, but the stage is very visible even from the balcony where we were. And the acoustics were incredible. We were blown away - probably the best concert we had ever been to. I hope we're able to come to the Kravis Center again soon 😍

It was my first time in Kravis Center because I had just moved to Palm Beach. I really enjoyed the show. I started to cry in the middle of the show because the actors were playing so emotional. The place was full, and tickets on the first row were $ 120 for seat 2. You can get a drink in the bar - drink prices $ 17 for one ( a little expensive), I like it so much, so I will go again. Parking is next to the Center, like 5 minutes walk and parking was free of charge. Beetlejuice musical was a great show - I love it.

I wanted to write a review for customer service based on my experience this past week. I had purchased tickets for my parents as a gift many months ago, and two days before they were supposed to attend we were dealing with a health emergency. I wrote an email to the Kravis Center, fully expecting that they couldn’t do anything to help me. The next day, I received a call from them where they helped me move the tickets to a later date, and providing even more convenient seats for my parents. I couldn’t be more grateful for their help and empathy that day, and that my parents were able to enjoy the show. Thanks again!
The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is a large zoo in West Palm Beach, Florida. It is home to over 700 different animals from all over the world, including some of the rarest and most popular ones. The zoo has a variety of exhibits, including a rainforest section and a permanent exhibit on Florida wildlife. Kids will love the interactive fountain in the center of the zoo, and parents can appreciate all of the educational programs that are offered throughout the year.
Update on 1-3-22: I went back when it wasn't so crowded (you were right; winter break was the reason). The animals were very active and I was able to see more of them this time. The zoo staff gives informational talks about the animals outside their enclosure which is a nice touch. I had a very pleasant experience. I will be back again
12-27-21:It's crowded. Kinda small. Monkeys were far away on their island so couldn't see them too well. The tiger was out so I got to see him walk by a few times. The birds and reptiles were plentiful and colorful so that was fun to see. There's a splash pad and playground for kids to play on so that was cool. It's was an OK zoo.
Laura Dumitras — Google review
It’s a decent zoo,it’s not too big. There is a splash pad by the entrance. As hot as it is it definitely is a treat. We explored the vicinity in our wet clothes so it wasn’t as hot. I like how each exhibit discusses where the animal is from, the age and most of them are named. Most of these animals are rescues or were born in this facility. The whole place is well kept. There is a gift shop similar to most overpriced gift shops. The food is ok. You can bring your own. I packed fruits and water for my troop. There is a special going on until 7/31/23 ( 2 kids in free with a paying adult) there is an age limit though. Overall this is a nice place and I would be back again.

The zoo was small but worth a trip there. They have a variety of animals, mostly small, which is appropriate for their size. Tiger, Florida panther, and of course, crocs! We did a special visit (extra cost) with the Otters, behind the scenes, and you get no contact feeding. Was fun! Fountain for kids to play in. Wheelchair accessible to main zoo. Restrooms, vending, gift shop. The staff was great and very helpful and informative.

Weather was perfect! Animals were out and about. The zoo is well maintained. All the animals have large spaces to live in and enclosures for protection when needed. They all looked well cared. I was pleasantly surprised compared to the zoo I went in the '80s.

This is a beautiful zoo. We went on a Tuesday around midday. There are a wide variety of animals to see. The grounds are lovely. The staff are very friendly and can answer questions about the animals. The food prices are quite high, so try to pack snacks to eat in designated places.

Great place to visit! I'm a local Floridian but hadn't been to this particular zoo. Brought the whole family for just shy of 2 hours which was plenty. Crowds weren't too heavy but the heat (early July) was hot! The entrance of the park has a large children's area with splash Park and all of the trails start there and are named according to their animal origins. Very clean place and tons of different animals to visit. I would go again for sure.
They have several larger cat species that were very cool to see.
Parking wasn't an issue for us but I could see larger trucks or vans having a tight fit. Very easy to find by taking southern Blvd exit 68 east off of North bound i95.

Took an amazing tour today at The Palm Beach Zoo. Brittany, Mike, & Amy were absolutely delightful. Their energy was unlike any other! You can tell how passionate they all are about the animals. They made us feel truly blessed. Incredibly thankful for their endless knowledge & their excitement. This is the best behind the scenes tour I have ever done anywhere. They took their time & answered all our questions. They got to know us & made us feel extra special. It was enchanting to meet you all! Thank you so much!!!

A nice little zoo to visit. The pricing is not really reasonable for the few amount of animals and exhibits. For 2 adults I paid 58 with tax, my toddler was free. Was not at all crowded. The restaurant was closed, the stands with concessions was also closed not sure if due to it not being busy or what the reason. Plenty of parking available.
They have a nice splash area for kids right as you come in. The exhibits were nice but it seems like the animals also went on spring break 😅. It's worth a visit but there are betters zoos for the same or better pricing especially for going on a weekday and getting tickets online to save.

A great Zoo, easy to get too, plenty of great animals to see, and enough walking but not where you will be dead tired after seeing the full experience. Water area, play area, and carousel for kids as well. Cool experiences available too. We fed the lorikeets and had a lot of fun. An annual pass is worth the cost if you go at least twice

This was my very first time bringing my 2 kids to the Palm Beach Zoo. The weather was not great but it was not pouring rain luckily. We were able to see most of the animals and the kids were free admission, I have a 6 year old and 7 month old. We went on a Saturday around 11ish we got there and left around 2:00 p.m. Even though it was raining off and on, we still had a nice time and the kids enjoyed it. They had a carousel ride, nice gift shop, and splash pad for the kids. I would love to definitely go again I only paid admission for myself for one adult which was about $27 and they had a promotion for kids to get in free from June 1st to July 31st. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely love to go again!

Had a good time here. Bring your snacks! Water was $6 for a 12oz. Fairly clean. Activities for the kids. A push available for pay for the little ones. The pathway was easy to maneuver. The water spray park was hood for the kids to cool off.
There are bears, jaguars, alligators, turtles, flamingos. No giraffes or elephants or rhinos. But the kids had a good time.
We were grateful for the kid free with paying adults.

Such a great day!! Didn’t know what to expect heading in and ended up spending hours there! Lots of unique animals like anteaters and capybara and koala. We lucked out seeing lots of activity too. Spur of the moment ended up doing the Tortoise Encounter!! Lots of time petting, learning and taking “shellfies”
Appreciated the military discount too!

I grew up at a time when theme parks did not exist in Florida. Mom took us to many attractions on our summer vacations and school days off. I loved going to Miami Seaquarium, Crandon Park Zoo, Monkey Jungle, Parrot Jungle, Pirates World and many other popular attractions around the state at the time. I learned about many species of wildlife from these trips and grew up to respect the role they played in our fragile ecosystem. I visited Palm Beach Zoo when it was named Dreher Park Zoo back in the day. I took my son there many times. It was easy to get to off I95, reasonably priced, clean and had many wonderful, well maintained exhibits. I walked in with my son, daughter in law and 20 month old grandson hoping to enjoy the same experience. We went on an overcast Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., the park closed at 5, plenty of time to see everything and not too hot or crowded. I pre purchased the tickets online: 2 adults and 1 senior came to $106.85. My grandson was 'free'. Wow! Sticker shock but somewhat expected given the economy. We checked in and it was a very easy process. We rented a safari wagon for our little one. It was a reasonable $3 but they didn't accept cash. We had to use a credit card to pay. A large splash pad is located at the entrance and many children were enjoying this water feature. We didn't have a change of clothes and/or towels for our waterbug and he was quite upset he couldn't frolic with them so we rolled quickly past to begin the zoo journey. (I did wonder if the recycled water shooting up in their innocent little faces was chlorinated. It looked like a superspreader event with many bulging diapers.) As we worked our way through each area, I noted many of the animal exhibits I remembered from back when were gone. The few animals they had looked cared for and healthy but the overall vibe was depressing. I saw only a few zoo staff members who looked busy but did not interact with the customers. Note: different animal encounters are available but you are charged extra $$$ and participants age is limited. We went to the lorikeet exhibit. They sold small cups of nectar ($2 for 1, $5 for 3) but when we got there they were feeding them big bowls of it. They warned us the birds wouldn't come to us and to save our $$. It was around 4 p.m. They were right. The birds could care less if we were holding their nectar treat. The carousel was nice and again, credit or debit card only. No cash is accepted in the park. We gradually made our way out. I left with new memories but also a greater appreciation of what we were so fortunate to have had experienced in better times.

This is our 2nd year of membership. We love this zoo. It has a nice assortment of animals and offers fun interactive packages with some of the more popular animals. There is plenty of tree cover so even in the middle of the summer, it's never too hot. All the employees and volunteers are always pleasant and willing to share each animals special story. It's a great family activity or simply a nice place to take a walk.

I come from a state that has a free zoo so I was totally surprised at the cost. $148.00 for 4 adults. Still, I give it a four-star because it's very well set up for viewing a wide range of animals in natural settings. They also had areas for children to play and use some energy. One thing to consider is parking...you may want to arrive early in the day as it does get quite full.

This is a beautiful zoo and the animals are well taken care of. It's now a $35 entrance but I'd rather pay more to ensure the animals are well cared for. Tried to get to the zoo on a cool day and you will see the animals active. I had an amazing visit on January 22nd.

This zoo is well maintained and clean! We got to see a lot of animals, even though some were taking their daily naps. They offer a bird feeding experience and lots of other interactions with certain animals (we didn't sign up for any since we came later in the day, and most of them were booked). Definitely buy your tickets ahead since it saves you a few extra bucks and helps you get in quicker! Would definitely come here again!

Great way to pass the days, be sure to take a water and change of clothes for your littles to play in the fountain! We didn’t pay for any extra interactive activities and still enjoyed ourselves, cafe and gift shops available and strollers friendly. Animals aren’t always super active so sometimes you’re just watching animals lay around but still enjoyable.

Really disappointed in the zoo for Palm Beach County. It needs intense investment to improve the grounds, the cleaning conditions, the bathrooms, the level of service, and the areas for the animals. You can’t even compare it to other zoos around the country (some of which are less expensive and even free of charge). We won’t be back. Sorry

Very nice place to take the family very clean bathrooms and drinks for a little expensive but yeah what do you expect from the zoo that has to cover the animals feed and stuff overall it was a great place to go and take the kids if you have kids.
Rosemary Square is a large, upscale shopping mall in the city center of Mission Viejo. The mall has a variety of stores, including high-end brands like Gap and Victoria's Secret, as well as budget-friendly options like Banana Republic and Macy's. It also features art installations by world-class artists throughout the common areas. City Place is a smaller, more compact shopping mall just minutes away from Rosemary Square that contains similar shops and amenities.
The Square is a picturesque area that is lively with shops, restaurants, and activities. The center of the entire area boasts an enormous tree lined with LED lights that change colors.
During the summer, they have active water spouts in the ground for kids to play in. They also bring out snow machines as well.
In winter, they have a variety of food trucks make an appearance with warm holiday snacks.
The restaurants around here are all incredible and not super fine dining, allowing it to be accessible to all.
The shops are more on the higher end.
Parking is so simple, and I personally recommend parking in the Hibiscus garage. It’s affordable and connected right to the entire area.

It’s a shopping and dining district encompassed in a square region of bustling West Palm Beach downtown; thus the name The Square was born, I assume.
It’s vibrant and full of youth. Seems to be safe and most shops and restaurants are elegant. But there are Starbucks and H&M to satiate people with not so deep pocket. Parking situation isn’t horrible.
But I would not go out of my way to visit this place. If I happen to be near The Square during my visit to West Palm Beach, then visiting this place definitely makes sense.

Mounts Botanical Garden is a public garden located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The gardens features over two thousand plants that originate from six continents, as well as a seasonal butterfly garden.
I shot a maternity session there the other day and it is absolutely beautiful! Mom was pretty far along so we didn’t go all the way through the gardens. I have to save that for another day. What we did see was gorgeous and total spring time. We went early because we knew it would get hot fast and we were right. It’s a beautiful place to stroll through. Very peaceful, beautiful flower colors and butterflies!
BTW, for photographers, you have to call them if you’re going to do a photo shoot with any props or gear. They were fine with us going with just the camera and shooting along our way.

This is a beautiful little botanical garden in West Palm Beach. We especially like that it has paved paths that we can wheel my 95 year old mother-in-law in her wheelchair to see most of the exhibits. Also, it has handicap bathrooms in the front AND rear of the gardens. The other wonderful thing is that it has numerous placards detailing what plant you are viewing, where it's from, and gives some background on growing, smelling, tasting, etc. about many of the plants. The Herb garden is quite fragrant and has lots of placards. There is a vegetable garden and a fruit tree garden that was fascinating. There's an adventure trek for the children to search out and find all signs. On this latest visit, there was an origami exhibit throughout the Gardens. It's very educational and has something for everyone. I've only been here twice, but I can envision that if you visit throughout the year, it will always have different flowers, vegetables, and fruits blossoming. If we lived closer, I would visit it quite often. It was worth the hour and a half drive.

The gardens themselves are very nice. But I have to be honest that the location costs it a couple of stars. Surrounded by tattoo parlors and strip clubs (which I assume probably weren't there originally when the gardens were first established) and, most annoyingly, it's literally across the street from Palm Beach International Airport. Consequently, the peacefulness of the gardens is disrupted every few minutes by a jet landing. They could also benefit from having more of a distinction between the different garden types. I mean it's obvious when you move into the vegetable garden or the zen garden but less so when moving from like the rose garden into one of the others. Overall a pleasant 2 hours and I do cautiously recommend a visit. Just try to focus on the beauty of the gardens and not the surroundings. (Note that when we went, 12/30/21, the front entrance was undergoing renovations so you have to use a side entrance. I'm not taking anything off for that though. It shows that they want to keep the place in good condition).

This 40 years old garden is like a tropical oasis located in the city of West Palm Beach, but the only noise that will remind you of that is the planes landing in the adjacent airport.
It’s a vast garden (16 acres), so you can easily spend a few hours in there. Among all the plants and vegetation (all of them labeled with their names) there are also an herbs’ garden, a “zen” area, a pond with fish and turtles that you can feed (you purchase the bag of food for $1 at the entrance), and a nursery that sells plants.
It’s a great place to go to relax (even during the hot summer), and a perfect one for photography.
The second Saturday of the month, Palm Beach Residents enter for free: we will surely take advantage of that above all during the winter, and we will also keep an eye on the special event, activities and exhibits that the garden offers from time to time.

What a pleasant surprise! An unexpected garden in an unlikely location across from the airport. This was a really nice garden and had a great garden center with very good prices for plants. Very nicely maintained and great selection of plants and trees.

The garden is about 6 Mims from the airport, and the entry fee costs about $15 for adults. There are discounted prices for different groups like elderly and military ($12/adult) The garden is filled with beautiful plants and is perfect for a day with family or a stroll. It is a self guided tour. The views are picturesque, and there are many places to take pictures. Will definitely visit again, and I encourage everyone to visit at least once.

Love the Plant Sales, recently met the Bee Man! Very knowledgeable. Great vendors! So many fun little surprises.
Great job on the gardens! It's obvious that a lot of beautiful additions have been added in the past year..
I recommend you go before it gets too hot and buggy!

This was a beautiful walk through experience that I would recommend to nature lovers. There are beautiful photo opportunities, and it was a peaceful place to soak in nature. Come with ample time to browse and fully immerse yourself as there is a strict cut off.
Bathrooms were clean and the crowd was minimal on the day I visited. I brought 2 toddlers and they enjoyed it as well!

My first thought was $15 entry fee was steep for a botanical garden. They don't take cash, which is a trend I do not care for. I almost turned around and left. I am glad I decided to give it a try. The gardens are truly beautiful with a wide variety of plant life. And don't forget to get fish food for the koi pond.

What really stood out to me about this place is the fact that you actually smell the flowers as you walk through the garden and it smelt so good. All the landmarks were very informative. It’s very therapeutic here the nature we all need to take in and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city.. if I could I’d go daily.

truly a beautiful place to visit when you need to escape reality for just a minute! the staff are so sweet, especially Jan at the entrance / gift shop.
Definitely a bit jealous of those who have outdoor gardens as there is a little plant nursery to shop from in the back.
We’ll definitely be back as we’re considering to get memberships here!

Paid a visit on a Wednesday, was pleasantly surprised by the manicured variety of species they have carefully chosen for the gardens. It is quiet, serene, gentle water flows and some water Cascades. The labels encourage you to wander close and sometimes between the leaves.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. This is my first time visiting and walking through the gardens was just pure bliss. The origami statues were very unique, lots of shady spots to sit, relax and soak up the serene environment. There were gorgeous trees, ponds with Koi fish and soothing waterfalls. Great place to go on a date or as a family with small children. I ended up taking an origami class which was so much fun. They have a sweet gift shop if you want to bring home a keepsake. You can also pick up a plant or two of you feel inspired to start your own garden. I highly recommend Mounts Botanical Garden for all ages.

Visited during a plant show in February 2024, and it was a really nice time. They have a lot of variety (it IS a botanic garden) and it's well cared for and landscaped. I think it's a good place you could bring kids (but admittedly, I don't have any). Lot of benches that you can sit and take in the scenery, good for older folks with mobility issues. Right next to the airport, so you get to almost constantly see planes coming in. Not a gigantic property, but a very nice way to spend 2-3 hours.

What a lovely and unexpected gem! We went specifically to see the Kevin Box exhibition which was amazing in addition to their permanent gardens and artwork. The gardens are clearly well cared for and made for a peaceful stroll. The only challenge is the entrance and Google directions, it kept turning us around and the entrance isn't particularly well signed, doesn't look like much from the street. Other than that it was a five star experience.

What a great garden. We saw very large origami sculptures all over the place! Lots of fun, very inventive, different artists. A must see.

On the west side of the WPB airport, Mounts Botanical Garden is a beautiful location to spend time walking around and enjoying the various sorts of flora and fauna in the area, within a variety of settings. There is a relatively liner counter-clockwise path to follow that ensures you get to see all the different elements of the garden, including a small waterfall, a twig hut (very large, in fact) and various benches and sculptures throughout for you to pause and enjoy to site. The only downside is that airplanes frequently fly overhead and can affect the perception of tranquility...but it is not enough to prevent you from enjoy the visit.
If you walk the entire garden without stopping for an extended period of time it would take about an hour. It is an acceptable site for all ages, but younger ones (say 10 and under) may not appreciate everything that is on offer here.
There is a small gift shop to purchase some collectables and parking is free on the adjacent lot at the front of the garden.

The Norton Museum of Art features a collection of American, French, and Chinese artwork as well as contemporary exhibits. Visitors can participate in art classes and workshops to further explore their passion for the arts. The museum offers a diverse range of art displays that showcase different styles and periods, making it an ideal destination for those interested in expanding their knowledge of art history. In addition, the Norton Museum is committed to promoting creativity through its educational programs and events.
Nicely curated art museum with a refreshed and purposeful emphasis on often-marginalized voices. They have classics along with more contemporary pieces, along with ancient (we’re talking before common era) pottery from China. Really breathtaking stuff!
Museum layout is fun to explore with tons of different mediums and eras represented. There are also two outdoor courtyards though only one was open. The open courtyard by the cafe had some outdoor art and what looks like a well-cared-for cat that was hanging out in the shade.
Parking is available just across the street, on the southwest side of the crosswalk. It’s a $5 flat rate paid at the kiosk. Crosswalk makes walking to the museum safe and easy.

We visited this museum for the first time after about 20 years; maybe it was because we were used to European museums, but we left so disappointed that we never thought of visiting again.
The original museum dates back to 1941.
In 2019 after several years spent on a remaking project it re-opened with 12,000 sq. ft. of gallery space, expanded classrooms, a larger student exhibition space, a 210-seat auditorium, a store and restaurant, a Great Hall, a lawn for outdoor programs and a sculpture garden.
It now displays more than 8,200 works in five different departments (European, American, Chinese, Contemporary and Photography), has ongoing special exhibitions and offers events and workshop at decent prices.
The museum has a private parking lot for $5 (for non-members).
The entrance costs $18, but it’s free every Saturday for WPB residents, and every Saturday during the summer for all PBC residents.
We took advantage of the free summer admission to PBC residents to return to the museum to see what had changed since the last time we visited: well… it is now amazing!
In addition, we went the day of the Juneteenth celebration: parking was free, there were so many artists selling their works, we attended the performance of The Florida Fellowship Super Choir and participated to other music events in the program!
There are a lot of pieces displayed, even from famous artists, and the staff seems always eager to explain it and interact with you.
Of course, the museum offers free (and private) tours, but also a new app (Norton Art+) that will give you more information.
We will certainly keep taking advantage of the summer free entrance, but we enjoyed our visit so much that we are thinking of getting a membership!

The main art museum of West Palm Beach the Norton has an eclectic selection of modern contemporary art, impressionist and classical pieces. The building is modern in style with all whitewashed walls, spacious rooms and a lot of natural light in the right locations. The displayed art per room is uniform (e.g: a room will only have contemporary art) but you can easily drift from one room to another completely changing styles. This is not a complaint, just an observation. While there are three floors, the main floor holds the largest collection (including Picasso, Monet and Cezanne to name a few), while the second floor has an extensive collection of Chinese artefacts as well as some classic European paintings. There is a decent store (but we didn’t find anything overwhelmingly interesting) and a café (which we did not visit). Regardless of the style of art you like, the collection here is worth a visit. It takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours to tour the museum.
Parking is available in a designated lot across the street for a fee of $5. Payment is by credit card only and based on your license plate. Enjoy!

The Norton is always a great place to visit, with interesting art from the collection and interesting traveling exhibits. The museum is beautiful and so are the outdoor grounds. To top it all, the restaurant serves delicious food in a great setting.
Downtown West Palm Beach is a vibrant center of nightlife, offering a variety of sophisticated cocktail lounges, chic wine bars, and cozy pubs with live music. Its diverse culinary landscape features traditional Southern eateries, trendy tapas establishments, and gourmet burger joints. Visitors can indulge in upscale fashion shops at Rosemary Square, an elegant outdoor mall or enjoy concerts at Meyer Amphitheater while the Flagler Park farmers’ market provides fresh produce on the waterfront.
Clematis Street is a trendy street that features restaurants, nightclubs, art museums and a waterfront park. It has a more down-to-earth vibe than the sophistication of City Place. Clematis Street is located in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach.
Been coming to Clematis ever since I was a kid. It has definitely transformed over the years for the better but now it's getting a little bit crowded.

Born and raised locally... Here's my options...
There seems to always be construction on the roads 🚧🏗️, plus often events causing road blocks. Plus it's difficult to find parking anywhere near here (even on a good day), unless you want to use the parking garage a mile or so away and take the trolley. The restaurants and shops are frequently changing/moving which leads to more construction. A lot of confusing one-way roads crossing paths. A lot of cops considering it is downtown and near the courthouse. A lot of homeless people live here, (on both ends), near the water and from the train tracks.
Lock your vehicles if you like your stuff. And try not to judge because some of the homeless people are great people just down on their luck. Some of them street perform for tips, but I think law enforcement might have put a stop to this because I don't see them performing much anymore, but there is still an abundance of homeless, probably a growing number even. Maybe because law enforcement is stopping them from creating a living by performing. 🤔
Probably so now that I think of it more, and it sounds about right considering that there's many unjust laws going against what should be considered "Natural Law".
So lock up and don't be in the area alone, have at least one or more people with you, just because you never know and shut happens. I've heard many gunshots in the past, seen a lot of fights, and at night alcohol accelerates the problems.
Anyway enough of that rant... Just be mindful if you visit.
Also, the paintings on the buildings and walls I have really grown to like on this street and surrounding areas, however I heard a while back on the News that the city is supposedly going to be getting rid of the street art. 😢 I really hope not, and I believe that most people would agree.

The West Palm Beach Green Market is a popular seasonal event that sells the area's freshest and most delicious produce. The market is supported by Southern Florida's local agricultural community and provides local buyers and sellers with easy access to fresh produce year-round.
If you haven’t attended this Farmer’s Market, you’re missing what is probably one of the best Farmer’s Markets in Florida.
The vendors are friendly, with well stocked booths and goods you won’t find anywhere else in the WPB area. Veggies, flowers, food, soaps, doggie treats… you name it, they’ve got it!

I came here with my girlfriend for a nice walk around and some food and it was really a great time. I would say an hour to an hour and a half is enough time. Parking was available in lots that you have to pay for that are very close and wasn’t a problem finding one. There were a lot of different vendors of all sorts from flowers, pickles, fruit and veggies, meat, bread and ready to eat food stands such as arepas and ceviche. I definitely recommend coming here and checking it out for a fun time or just to do some food shopping. I also recommend the sweet arepas which were beyond delicious and my favorite in the whole market.

I can't lie. I look forward to this green market coming back every September/October when it goes away. The variety of local vendors make this green market a one way ticket to supporting local businesses. It's the best way, in my personal opinion to help smaller local businesses grow!
Fresh baked breads, pastries, bagels, cider donuts and so much more than that! Fresh flowers, fresh produce, fresh coffee! Do you see the big picture yet? Everything here is freshly made the same morning or right before your eyes. It makes the whole experience so much better knowing that everything is fresh and local. I look forward to a few stands myself including ArtPie and Rabbit Coffee for my fixes!
The real pleasure of this market is honestly walking around sampling things you've never heard of or seen before. It gets you talking to business owners and you see their passion for their product which makes you more interested in buying their product. That's one of the best parts. Hearing their stories and trying new things.
There are always a good amount of people there with their kids and dogs. Stay away if it's too much for you, but personally I enjoy every minute of walking around and seeing new vendors and trying new products! Enjoy!!

Not nearly as good as in the past. Very crowded and congested. Vendors and attendees are "cramped" in less space. Perhaps the construction and re-routing traffic and terrible (and expensive) local parking can't be avoided, but there had to be a better way and better planning by the city
I don't remember it ever being that noisy either. If you can deal with those things for now, it's worth checking out.
They vendors are great. I was born in fl, so these types of events are great to see. And keep it local.

What a fantastic place for a perfect Saturday morning hang out. We took our kids there and we love the whole experience. You can get all the fresh fruit and veggies you need. You can try some specialty coffee, and there are many vendors who make food right there. Plenty space to sit in a shade and enjoy a breakfast or lunch. Flower vendors are a plenty there as well, including some of the most exotic orchids I have ever seen (maybe I haven't seen that many, but these were fabulous). The only thing that I need to figure out better for next time is parking. 2 hr minimum was $10+, so you have to consider that in your trip cost. The scenery is nice, right next to dock with $20M+ yachts. 2-3 hours is plenty of time to enjoy yourself there. Opens at 9am, closes at 1pm.

Rapids Waterpark is a popular outdoor venue in West Palm Beach that features a range of water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The park is perfect for families who want to cool down on a hot day, and the performing arts group that operates it offers both traditional and contemporary performances.
Fun park for all ages. Staff is very friendly. So many options to choose from. Concessions and gift shops are reasonable. Great place for the whole family. Only one downfall. Lines move slow. Can move much quicker getting on and off rides without compromising safety. Only utilizing one of two loading docks at a time up top while down below can give the "ok" signal much sooner to make the lines move faster.

I had a decent time over here, but it could’ve been better….
Positives: Rides were pretty fun, lots of places to sit, nice staff members
Negatives: Almost half the rides were closed due to not having enough staff members, the lazy river opened up 4 hours after the park opened up and it was more bumper tubes than lazy river, it was way too overcrowded and there weren’t enough tubes for everyone, the lines were also extremely long.
Over all I had a pretty good time!

Fun place to take the kids! Lots of different style water slides. My wife & kids (14 & 12 years old) had a blast!
If you get there early, parking is easy & fast.
We got a parking spot with no waiting at 11am on a Sunday within 75 yards of the entrance to the park.
You can bring your own food to save 💰. The food selection is very limited & expensive. There is a picnic area near entrance of park, which was very nice and convenient. We brought a cooler full of stuff. There is no checks at the entrance, so bring whatever food you want. You just can't bring food into the park.
There are a few places to get alcoholic beverages if you like. Not cheap of course.
Admission to park is kind of expensive. It cost us $60 per person, but I would say it is worth going at least once. It will take you all day to ride everything. The lines were fairly long on Sunday......about 30+ minutes per ride.....not sure about during the week.
The rides were thrilling and fun. Not your basic water slides. There are weight limits before you can ride. Make sure to read about them or you won't be able to ride. They are short on staff, so not everything is open, but most rides were open for us .
There is a large wave pool 🌊, which the kids loved, with music videos playing.
There were plenty of restrooms and no lines.
There was also no problem leaving the park. No wait time, just got in our car and left near closing time, which was nice 👍
I recommend going if you like water parks

In the bathrooms it was all dirty. The floor was all dirty with pee. Same as the toilet seat. There were even bathrooms with no doors and the one with doors has no lock. Now the chairs. The chairs were super dirty with literally orange spots. At least clean them once a month. Over all the park was great. Waters were clean, staff was friendly, and the slides were great. Also another problem the showers weren’t working. I would give it a better review if the problems weren’t that serious.

What an awesome waterpark! My daughter and I went here for the first time and ended up going back the next day for more fun. Even though we are from the west coast of Florida, we got season passes which pay for itself after the second visit. There was so much to do and plenty of waterslides.
They are updating the park so the lazy river isn't a full river but the improvements to the park will be well worth its closure.
I like the fact that the park has multiple areas, one being separated by a cat walk.

The parking situation was organized it just took a long time.
The park is clean well kept up. The staff were friendly and curteous.
They have tons of slides. It was disappointing to find out that 2/3 of the major rides were closed due to lack of staffing. They did offer us a 50% reduction in ticket price but only after we drove 2 hours to get here.
The lack of staffing forced the high volume of people onto the limited slides that were open creating long lines. I was able to ride 6 slides from 10-5. My kids got on a similar number.
There was a fight in the wave pool and park staff moved quickly to take care of the situation
The food provided was good, the order was messed up twice we had to wait in long lines to get it fixed.
This park has a lot of potential, but the lack of staffing significantly complicated all of the park functions that were working.

I was there over the weekend, and different staff members approached me to tell me that the swimwear - a speedo - that I was wearing was inappropriate for the park. They told me that the park was a family-friendly environment and that I couldn’t wear that kind of swimwear. When I read the rules, they didn’t mention anything about that. That was an act of discrimination, and I felt attacked just for wearing a speedo.

I recently visited Rapids Waterpark with my kids and nephews, and we had an amazing time! The park offered a wide variety of attractions, making it an ideal family destination.
The rides were excellent and provided endless fun and excitement. The safety measures in place, along with the attentive lifeguards, gave us peace of mind while enjoying the water activities.
Moreover, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms, which is always an essential aspect of any enjoyable outing. The park staff did a great job of maintaining a hygienic environment throughout our visit.
When it comes to the service, the staff was friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist with a smile. They truly cared about the guests' experiences, and it showed in their exceptional attention to detail.
The food and beverage options were diverse and great. We indulged in some tasty treats, and it perfectly complemented our day at the park.
Overall, we had an unforgettable time at this water park, and we can't wait to visit again soon. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic water park adventure for the whole family!"

We are here now and same situation. Over 50% of the rides are closed leaving one section of about 4-5 slides open. Lines already long. No warning whatsoever about half the park being closed. Nothing told during ticket purchase. Drove 75 minutes and basically done by noon. Please beware if making your way here.
Update: we did receive passes to return again. It would still be nice to be transparent with the customers however by posting on your website, Facebook, and other social media outlets when a massive amount of high profile rides are not operating. By not disclosing this and still charging full price is borderline unethical.

Purchased tickets online for the family. Arrived at the park. More than 75% of the park was closed down to either staffing shortages or ride maintenance. There was nothing on the website or any other information stating such a signifiant portion of the park be unavailable to enjoy. We
Arrived at 10 so we beat the crowds and rode the few open slides that were available. By 1130 the lines were so long that it would take over an hour to ride for a slide that last 15 -30 seconds. So we left. I spoke with the manager and was offered 50% off credit. This was a nice gesture and the young lady was very nice but not a good solution. We planned this vacation months ago. They stole a day away from our family vacation. The park should have noted the closures well ahead of time allowing people to make other arrangements for entertainment. Hopefully next time we come to the area we can enjoy the entire park. Bad job of not getting ahead of this and allowing a poor customer experience. I am not the only one that complained. because the young lady had a multiple page list of people that had also complained. So Bette. Thanks !
The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach offers a wide range of programs and events, as well as free learning opportunities in various subjects. The library also features an on-site cafe for visitors to enjoy while reading or attending events. Visitors can participate in activities like playing Dungeons and Dragons in private rooms and explore the spacious and clean facilities. The library's extensive book selection is another highlight for many visitors.
This is one of my favorite library’s I’ve ever been to, and I haven’t even seen very much of what they have to offer yet. What I do know is that there is a super helpful librarian that helped me in the second floor computer area who is exceptional at her job: her name is Kaitlin Buttery. Also the gentleman, Brett at the front entrance desk assisted me in getting a membership card also was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great job, guys!!

Beautiful library with many many resources!!
Tons of books & computers to use and enjoy.
However, there are more homeless people sitting/sleeping in here than most homeless shelters. It is air conditioned, they can use the chairs, computers and lounging areas. They usually have large garbage bags of clothes/things they carry with them. They smell extremely bad, stink if urine and garbage and are loud.
This is definitely NOT an ideal place where kids or young adults can go alone or at all. Not a good sight or place to be.
Very very sad to see a lot of taxpayer dollars go to what I can assume is an extremely expensive place to run and maintain. Around 50-75% of all the visitors that come in here are homeless people.
Very unfortunate!

Second time in less than a week that I walked into the restroom and someone was smoking crack.. I’m not sure how this keeps happening since security sits directly outside the bathroom entrance. The staff and library are nice but considering inflation and the rise of the homeless population, I’d think whoever was in charge would keep a better eye out for the drug activities in the restroom at least

I used to take my daughter to the kids space for some classes, she loved.
Unfortunately today the guy made up a new “rule”: ‘Only one class per day!’.
There are 2 classes 30min each. So we attended the first one and waited to see if there is available space to attend the second one as well, as we drive 25minutes and 30 minutes class is not enough for my girl, she really enjoys longer play.
We waited so everyone got into the room, there were still 4-5 spaces, but the gentleman said we could not enter because we already went ones and told us about the “rule”.
My daughter was drudging me into the room, so we entered and set on the waiting chair so she can at least listen and see the kids.
But, the gentleman decided to come and show us the door out!
I really appreciate the events they do, beside the homeless people flooding the library. But after this, I am not going back, they can maybe think about rule for managing the homeless people and limit their stay in the library instead of limiting the small kids just willing to play.

I absolutely loved it my daughters, brother, niece and I went for a visit on Sunday to play dungeons and dragons. It was so fun and the group was so kind and silly. They had a private room to play and the library still had many extra rooms that were available. It was clean and presentable. There is a parking garage we were able to use and they gave us a pass to use for free so that we weren't charged for the parking. It truly was fun me and the family.

The brand new and exciting stadium home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is a must-see destination for any visitor to West Palm Beach. With 160 acres of green space surrounding it, there’s plenty of things to do at The Ballpark, from hitting balls in one of the many batting cages to taking in a game on one of the two ballparks.
Nice stadium to watch a ball game. Probably had the best Philly cheese steak that I can recall, certainly the best ballpark meal I've had. Only negative would be the long walk from the parking lot, but not a big deal for me, but could be for others.

We did not get to visit the actual stadium because of the labor dispute. Very nice practice facilities for the players. Great access to see players up close and get autographs if you’re in to that. However, there is basically nowhere for fans to seek cover from rain in the practice areas. The fact that the gift shop was closed and there were NO food or beverage options for fans is just ridiculous.

The venue is clean and easy to find. The access to the field and the sitting area is friendly to all. We like the laid back atmosphere and the low prices for great seats. Bring an umbrella because it rains often. The staff is friendly and accommodating. See you next year.

This is a really nice ballpark. We were there for Astros spring training games and were able to get seats that were entirely in the shade. I appreciated the shuttle service to the park as it was a very long walk from the parking lot in the hot sun. There was return service in the evening too. Overall, the park is very clean and well cared for. The only drawback is that food and beverage prices are very expensive.

There's nothing more wonderful than the return of baseball, & Spring Training at this center is a wonderful place to fully experience it!
No matter which team you root root root for, this is a place to fully enjoy Baseball - and before the rest of the country!!
The parking here is in a green field, & it's a beautiful stroll to the stadium where seats are comfortable, fellow fans friendly, food perfect & souvenirs essential.
But here's the Best Part:
My friend has bum leg, I broke my foot. Hobbling to the park we were picked out of the strolling crowd by a friendly stadium golf cart driver. And.... That's their job!! They quietly (it's electric!) glide along the mass of fans heading to/from the ballpark, pick out those they instinctively suspect might benefit from their super-vehicle (this Is Florida, retirement home for America - there's lots of them).
They invite their guests to hop in, and off you go! And.... They are also happy Tour Guides, pointing out the layout of this amazing, beautiful place! They've got a great office to be justifiably proud of!
You get dropped of with a smile at the entrance, or your car!!
Hey ballpark! These are your MVPs for Spring Training!! They make paying guests feel Welcome, Appreciated and Special!!

It's a great stadium. The main concourse wraps around the entire field, the outfield grass berm is accommodating, there's a large score board, and good options for food and souvenirs. Would be nice if they had Florida State League minor league games. Payment for parking needs to be improved.

Why a 3 ?
First the facility is nice lots of good points. Some of those points: shuttles from the parking area to gate for those who need it, bathrooms well kept and stocked, lots of shade for those looking to be out of sun .
Where I have the issue is with the concessions. Forget about the over priced food & drink as any sport venue you can expect that. We were told by employees that if we entered the tip as prompted on POP display they didn’t receive it. The facility is cash free so I just brought my card. Which meant the hard working employees who offered great service didn’t get rewarded. So pass the word bring some cash to tip those who deserve it and DON’T TIP USING YOUR CARD.
Hope that the corporation running the concessions gets replaced. I just can’t believe how they are treating their employees.
The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a beautiful, well-organized facility that is perfect for hosting large events. My recent visit to the Palm Beach County Convention Center left me thoroughly impressed. Firstly, the convenience of ample parking made the experience hassle-free right from the start. Finding a parking spot was a breeze, and it set a positive tone for the day. I was attending a realtors' conference, and I must say, the staff at the convention center were incredibly helpful. They guided me to the right location and answered any questions I had, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Their assistance ensured that I could focus on enjoying the conference itself.
Beyond the exceptional staff and convenience, I couldn't help but admire the architectural design of the building itself. The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a stunning structure, both aesthetically and structurally. The sleek and modern design not only adds to its visual appeal but also reflects a commitment to excellence. It's a testament to the attention to detail that went into creating a space that not only serves its purpose but also leaves a lasting impression. My time at the convention center was not only productive but also enjoyable, thanks in no small part to its excellent design and accommodating staff.

Very spacious, with room to accomplish all that the company had planned for the conference. LOTS of, clean, well-stocked bathrooms are available for attendees. As convention centers go, this was pretty good.

The place was nice, but trying to exit the parking garage was ridiculous. No one moved. You can pay at the pay stations before you leave the venue, but not everyone does, so then you're stuck behind everyone who didn't. Then, when you come out of the garage, there are 2 lanes that go right, but no one was using the right lane because they all assumed it went right, but it took you either way. So the traffic didn't move. The next day, there were signs saying use both lanes. That would have been helpful the 1st day we were stuck in a parking garage for an hour 😔 Other than that the venue was nice and clean.

A large, open venue of open concrete floors. Good parking, so add a star for that. After that, the compliments have run out.
The venue is little more than a warehouse with overpriced "food". If your event doesn't manage on a sprawl of concrete with zero pre-setups for seating or anything else, this is not the place.
I was once in a gas station on the outskirts of Atlanta where my windshield got smeared with mud by a homeless man, the employee was smoking weed at the register, and the coffee actually smelled like urine. The bathroom was CLEANER there than at this convention center.
Then your event ends and you are finally ready to leave this pay-per-view cement box. Now the real fun begins. You will find that they have shut down all forms of pre-payment for parking and have opened only one exit. Thus, two booked venues were trying to leave at the same time, bottlenecking everyone into a jam that begins with a 1-hour wait closest to the exit. I have no idea how long the people on the 5th level waited.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t too busy. I enjoyed that it was a self-guided experience where you can go at your own pace. There’s lots to read and learn about some passengers and crew. It truly was an experience, and the best part was the boarding ticket you received as a “ passenger ” and seeing if you survived the wreck.
Overall, it was an eye-opening and complete experience that was beautifully curated! Highly recommend for history lovers and curious learners.

I want to personally say what an amazing place this was to see a show , I went tonight to see Estelle Parsons and Wow what an experience from the staff to the theater and all was amazing!! I am recently new to the area and recently heard about Estelle Parson coming to do a conversation show and immediately called to get tickets . I spoke with Lauren who was beyond helpful and kind on the phone and so personal . When we arrived to the show tonight I interacted with many ushers and all were so kind and helpful and then I saw a young woman with a name tag with Lauren on it and I introduced myself and told her how impressed I was with the theater and how helpful she was on the phone when ordering my tickets , amazing customer service !!
Tonight was very special to me cause I used to always wait for Estelle Parsons with my mother at the stage door when she would be in broadway plays in NYC . Well they did a question and answer I was able to thank her for all those special times I waited with my mother at the stage doors and I asked if I could get a picture after the show with Estelle . Well the staff remembered and personally made it possible for me !!
I can’t express what a night this was and how much I enjoyed coming to this theater and will definitely be coming back now since I live here .
Forever grateful to all the team here !

My review is long overdue, I began frequenting PBD while in college, through the years I’ve cherished the variety of shows I’ve gotten to experience at this stage, including Sweeney Todd, Emily & Poe, House of Blue Leaves, and most recently the science of leaving Omaha- which truly touched me and left a lasting impression. The actors are beyond talented and professional. I see a production any chance I get, even after moving out of state!

Small theater with excellent productions. The actors are often Equity members. Theater is intimate, and it's hard to get a bad seat. Sometimes there are sound issues if you are seated on far left or far right. Back row is just fine. I've seen drama, comedy and musicals here: 1776, History Boys, Arcadia. All have been excellent. This is not amateur / community theater. That being said, it's not New York or London either. But for a small venue in south Florida , the quality is high. What at first seems like a long line for women's room at intermission actually moves quite smoothly. The bar sells drinks and snacks. Nearby parking garage is free on Sundays. Lots of restaurants nearby for drinks or dinner after the show. Pastiche is excellent. World of Beer, Rocco's Tacos etc. I always look forward to see what the next season of shows will bring.

Norton Museum of Art is a world-famous art museum located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The museum has a collection of over 5,000 pieces of art from various periods and styles, including paintings by American artists such as Pollock and Hopper as well as European masters such as Monet and Picasso. There are also rotating exhibits and special lecture nights that allow visitors to learn more about the works on display.
Enjoyed visiting, super modern yet many of the displays are From the old age. The integration of the 2 is great.
The museum consists of 3 floors serviced by a huge elevator and a nicely decorated staircase.
The also have a restaurant and a boutique shop.
I mostly enjoyed the Asian artifacts.

The Norton museum has to be one of the best art museums here in South Florida, they greeted us and had complimentary masks up front which are still required but it’s ok. Not that many people where there it was a very calm and quiet museum. The art was super versatile there was more modern art and then more remote art. There was also a couple sculptures and generally a good museum to roam around 🙂

Came to this place last week and I was amazed of how big the place is. Three story building with art everywhere. And a decent size outside garden with different art installations. And if you get hungry while visiting they have a restaurant inside the building. I’ve never seen paintings so old and beautifully well kept that yes you get the feeling of I want to touch it but no do not touch any of the art pieces. I would definitely come back with friends and family. And also one thing of note they have metal detectors walking inside, so if you conceal carry like I do just leave it in your vehicle. I seen them detectors and I did a quick 180 to my car. Other than that please enjoy yourselves

We got to join the program while we were there and had a blast. I haven't made art since many years and it sparked so much joy in me especially to share that moment with my child. When they shared with the group the art we made, he was beaming and it was awesome to have that moment. The volunteers, security and staff where so nice and the teacher leading the art class was so encouraging and everyone was so welcoming.

This is one of the coolest museums I’ve been to in Florida. My friends live in West Palm Beach and had never visited this museum so since I was here for the weekend and we are all suckers for art and a good museum we decided to swing by. The $18 admission was a steal considering how much we enjoyed walking this joint. They have some serious art in there from some of the best artists to have ever walked this earth as well as some fun pieces that are eye catching. May not look big from the outside but there are 3 floors of incredible art. This is a nice fun activity if you’re visiting West Palm and it’s also close to a lot of restaurants.

Norton is a beautiful museum. It has 3 floors of art that displays many forms of artistic modern, contemporary and old European pieces. This museum holds special events especially on Friday with extended hours until 10pm. For us, it was a jazz concert dedicated to women in jazz and it was all included in the price of admission. In addition there are special exhibitions displaying a featured artist but for an additional entrance fee. Speaking of fee, there is nominal fee for museum entry that does offer discounts. But well worth it. Each floor has something to offer any art enthusiast. This museum has all kinds of services like classes, tours, a gift shop to a restaurant, kind of high end, limited menu, but good food and decent service. Surprisingly, this restaurant was very popular and our night required reservations, so keep that in mind. There is also an outdoor garden displaying sculptures, somewhat provocative (you'll see what I mean) and a nice garden as well. Overall it is a excellent place to visit for the whole family.

Went on Juneteenth after many years and found a much better museum, with a lot of interesting pieces of art, clean, and very organized.
We will need to go back to finish seeing it all, also because that day they had some shows (Gospel for instance) and extra exhibitions, so we couldn’t see the whole thing.
I really liked the European section, especially the Impressionism paintings and they had some pieces from very famous painters.
Like I said, nothing like what it was 20 years ago, when it took us probably 7 minutes to see the whole place.
The American section had also very fine paintings, but we didn’t complete it (we read all the explanations by the paintings so we take our time) and will go back for that and the Chinese part.
It really is worth visiting also because we don’t have much in terms of fine arts in PBC. By the way, until September the 4th, on Saturday, PBC residents go in for free (regular ticket $18), so it’s a good opportunity to give it a chance, stay out of the heat for a few hours and nearby you have some good eateries without going to Clematis-City Place. There’s a great Asian restaurant, Joy’s Noodles and two BBQ places, tropical Smokehouse (very good) and Pig Beach (still have to go). All are on Dixie Hwy near the museum.
On Kanuga street, if you take it from Dixie and go west to the very end you can chill and enjoy some good IPA’s at Civil Society brewery, very laid back, good beer and you can take your dog if you wish.
Parking for the museum is across the street, $ 5.

Wow— this is a well rounded collection of permanent paintings and sculptures of many different artists, genres and time periods. You could spend 3-4 hours here at minimum, more if you enjoyed a meal at the outdoor cafe. We also enjoyed the sculpture garden, where greenery compliments the sculptures.
We also visited the Impressionist exhibit of some fairly rare and unseen paintings. I found the works unusual and colorful, ranging from interesting portraits to abstract but colorful landscapes.
The gift shop has a nice selection of jewelry and colorful and unique tchotchkes.
The only snag is the parking across the street. The parking lot has plenty of spaces, but the payment kiosk didn’t function properly. When I told the front desk they said not to worry about it.
Overall this is a must see museum for art lovers— would make a great date!

Great works of art. Beautiful venue to hang out and enjoy the day. Spacious and easy to get around. Perfect size museum if you want to spend 2-3 hours to view the entire collection. Modern collection was tiny. But happy to see some terrific works from leading pop artist. It would be great if they expand the modern collection. They might get more visitors 😉

Awesome museum- love the combination of classical art with modern pieces. The restaurant was great to grab a snack and eat outside by the fountain. So many amazing pieces. I would plan to spend about about 2-3 hours here.
John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is a secluded 438-acre destination, located along the picturesque Jack Nicklaus Drive in North Palm Beach. It offers visitors a chance to experience nature walks, kayaking, and wildlife in lush surroundings. Known for its pristine beaches, this less developed and rural park provides an ideal escape from the crowds of Palm Beach for those seeking communion with nature.
This review is for the beach park! We didn’t do
any other trails this visit but loved the journey to the beach. They have a shuttle if you don’t want to walk or are tired on your way back. The boardwalk was scenic and relaxing, after you take a short flight of stairs and your at the beach. The beach was beautiful and not too crowded! Beautiful place. Definitely recommend visiting!

Fabulous state park. Shaded hiking in mangrove forest. Long boardwalk over estuary. Interesting information placards strategically placed along the way. Brilliant beach with white sand, shells, few people. Pure bliss!

This is a place I've never heard about. Off the beaten path that most non Florida residents are not aware. This place is great for any beach activities you might have planned and if you just want to take a walk then they have a tail system that takes you on a different journey. I didn't personally walked any of the trails but it looked like fun. We did visit the gift shop and that was great. The best part was the beach. Not Crowded for a Saturday midday visit. However, you do have to walk about 1/4 mile from the parking lot to the beach but the state park does have a "shuttle" in the form of a long golf cart that will carry about 6 people. So be prepared, but in all honesty the walk is great you won't regret it

We stopped over on our way to the keys, fully expecting this place to be a bit boring- it was not!
This is a huge park with River access, bike and hiking trails, animals galore, tons of birds, and great views from the fire lookout , which is on the highest point in Southern Florida.

It was only 5 dollar entrance fee for an SUV with 3 people in it. There is a tram that takes you from the parking to the beach for free, bring cash to tip the driver. They have bathrooms that are composting toilets. The beach is beautiful, clean and peaceful.

This place is absolutely beautiful!! I came here after doing some research for shelling and I wasn't disappointed! It was a workout. The water is so beautiful. Blue and clear. Just amazing. The nature center and gift shop is a nice add on.
Be ready to walk. Have snacks and plenty of water. There are bathrooms by the beach which were clean. The shower was working as well.
The boardwalk to the beach is a good walk so be prepared. There are also nature trails, so much to explore

This has to be one of my favorite state parks. There is a boardwalk that goes from the parking lot to the ocean. It's a beautiful 1,600-foot walk over the estuarine system. If you don't want to walk it, there is a tram that will drive you over. Once you get to to the beach you are greeted by white sands and blue ocean water.
Everyday we saw manatees swimming pretty close to the beach, there were tons of shells, the water was so blue and the waves were perfect. But there were lots of Man of War on the beach while we were here.

Very pleasant area: lots of nice boardwalks, wild and untouched beach. The mangroves are absolutely gorgeous and that was the first time I saw a crab on a tree!

Visited again 10 years later in 2023, and still a beautiful, quiet beach! We gladly pay $5 for parking. They also offer picnic areas, parks, kayaking, a nature center, and a quiet, shaded walking/hiking trail. When the tide goes out, you can go out into the water far enough to have a blast, even if you can’t swim! There’s even an electric tram that will take you across the almost 1/3 mile walk from the parking lot to the beach!

Great park. Fantastic staff & volunteers. I JUST reviewed this and even added pictures so I'm not sure why the Google has me doin' it again. Maybe the other reviews for the barrier island part of the park?
Just go here. It's a great place. Lots of nature and a free tram ride across the boardwalk and back.

I love walking the trails with my senior pup, it's sunny and shady at the same time. The beaches are gorgeous, and the facilities are in great shape. I love coming here 💕🙏

John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is truly a natural treasure in Florida. My visit to this park was an incredible experience that exceeded all my expectations. The park offers a perfect blend of pristine beaches, lush native vegetation, and abundant wildlife, making it a nature lover's paradise.
One of the highlights of my visit was the beautiful, unspoiled beach. It's a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, with crystal clear waters and soft, clean sand. I enjoyed a peaceful walk along the shore, taking in the stunning ocean views and the calming sound of the waves.
The park's nature trails were equally impressive. Winding through diverse habitats, they provided a great opportunity to observe local flora and fauna. The boardwalks over the estuaries were especially fascinating, offering a close-up view of the park's aquatic life.
I also appreciated the educational aspect of the park. The nature center offers insightful exhibits about the park's ecosystem and conservation efforts. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting facts and answering all my questions.
John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is not just a place to visit, but an experience to be cherished. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates natural beauty and tranquility. Whether you're into swimming, hiking, bird watching, or just relaxing in nature, this park has something for everyone.

Beautiful state park with excellent facilities!
Long boardwalk across the park's estuary that gives you great views of all the wildlife to see! The beach is long with some shell picking! Google this park to get more info on it! Well worth a day's visit!

Well, I thought it was a little strange that handed the girl my pass , she actually asked me for identification. I guess she's the only one doing her job. I've been to 81 out of 176 state parks. And never been asked for ID.
It was a beautiful place.. They have a great handicap Boardwalk. It takes you through the mangroves. It's the coolest spot on the property. It's a canopy of trees and mangroves.. They also have a great gift shop carrying beautiful artisan pieces from local artists in the Florida area. There is a shuttle
that takes you across the bridge over to the beach. You cross over the river down a very long Boardwalk. The shuttle driver was a really nice man and very knowledgeable about the property. They have great kayak launches throughout the mangroves to launch your own kayak or rent one. Also a small hiking trail throughout the mangroves. The beach is beautiful. So pristine and natural when you look back to the west, it's outlined with beautiful Dunes with mangroves and Palms. The sand is extremely hot.. Don't forget your shoes. There are lifeguards on duty, and in that particular portion of the ocean, it is extremely rough water. Please make sure that you have your children in life jackets. There was extreme undertow in that area of the beach. I hope you enjoy my recommendation, and when you're over on Singer Island in Riviera Beach, you definitely want to stop in to John MacArthur Park.
DON'T FORGET TO STAY HYDRATED

Beautiful beach with a really nice boardwalk to walk on. Only $5 for a car to enter and there's a small visitor centre with some information on the formation of the mangroves and animals. The bathrooms at the end of the Sand Dune trail were locked so maybe ask at the gate first if you're counting on them. Otherwise use the ones at the nature centre before heading to the beach.

Beautiful beach! I don't mind the walk to get to the beach, it's actually perfect for me because I enjoy a good workout. I didn't spend too much time here but walked to the beach and back. I plan to return to spend time on the beach!
Peanut Island, located just off West Palm Beach in Florida, is a lush tropical oasis with wide sandy beaches and crystal clear waters that are home to diverse aquatic life. Snorkeling is a popular activity at Peanut Island, which also offers camping and other outdoor activities.
Great place for snorkeling the water was Super clear , Nice place to be with the family.

Best place to Relax. You don't have to leave the country to find such a beautiful island getaway .
Bring a boat or take the Local boat . Even on a rainy day there's always something to see.

its paradise without the airport. perfect sweatshirt weather at night in match, no bugs. we all saw thousands of fish while snorkeling in high tide. it was the best low tide snorkeling we have ever done.
the showers are only accessible to campers, and they are warm.

Amazing place to vacay!!
If it's not for the jellyfish I will say it's paradise. We went on August 20th and the quantity of jellyfish was just ridiculous all the kids were crying and you get paranoic while you are swimming. The water its so clear, perfectly warm but the stains from the jellyfish were not fun. By the office you can get a special salty water/vinegar botlle if it's really bad.
You need to take a ferry to the island it's just literally like just 5 min distance the price it was around 20$ per adult something like that. You can book with time and spend the night in the camping area.
We are a camping family so of course we stayed, the space it's for 10 people but you can't set more than one tent so make sure to either bring a big tent if its a big family or to rent a bigger space that allows more than one tent. 😉
They have an special code for camping people for the private closed indoor showers in the bathroom area. There are filtered water filters, bbqs and where to charge your electronics, if you can bring an extension it's very good idea because there's just like 2 ports for everyone there.
🏕 The camping experience here was amazing, it's the perfect combination to not be so uncomfortable with no clean water, toilet and some electricity but you can still set up your tent make bbq, theres even an area to make a bonfire and cook some marshmallows.
Definitely we will be back next year it would be nice to know when there's no jelly fish. I asked some people around and apparently it's just like to play the lottery 🤷 no one knows exactly.

Peanut island is an excellent place for camping and enjoying some relax and fun! Great service, easy to book, and peanut island shuttle and water taxis come and go every 20 minutes. Campground is clean, hot water for shower is available in the restrooms, and the place is just perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Remember to bring your s’mores to enjoy at the communal fireplace area!

This is a lovely island where you can spend the day with family and friends, or camp, we have been here for once for a family meeting and make a BBQ at their Pavilions where they have BBQ ready for you to use, you need to bring all food and tools that you need, because they don’t sell neither food or any other items, and now we have the camping experience, they have showers with hot water, and the customer service at island management office is very friendly, we like to Thanks Rosa for all her help during our stay!!!, and the personal that keep the island clean, you can always see people cleaning to keep the island in the best shape.

Nice little island near Palm Garden City. Getting to Peanuts Island by either ferry or kayak or other means. Ferry cost $18 round trip and run every 20 min. Water is crystal clear and I saw lots of people snorkeling, sand is white and soft, and plenty of shades provided by trees along the beach, or covered porches in many location with BBQ grills. I didn’t rate this place as a 5 stars due to the fact that there are way too many Jellyfish in the water (brown and purple ones). I was told that sometimes there were barely any jellyfish around last month by the locals. All in all, it well worth the trip to this island.

It's like a mini Bahamas !! THE WATER IS TURQUOISE CLEAR!!! The coolest place! Went last minute. $18 round trip. Free parking available. No alcohol allowed. They check bags. Gotta take your own food & drink. Ride was quick and is a lovely view. We snorkeled. There is a shower to wash off sand, bathrooms, grills & picnic tables. Spent 3 hours bc a storm was due. Returning again tomorrow!

This place is a hidden gem! Absolutely amazing! I’ve been here at least 20 times. Easiest and best snorkeling in south Florida. Get here early as the lines are long for the ferry.

This place is AMAZING, clean and calm water, perfect for a day with the family and specially kids. Be ready to do some snorkel, kayak or to use your paddle boards.
Restrooms are clean, be aware you need to take a ferry to get to the island.

A paradise in Palm Beach.
Is definitely a place to visit if you are in the area. There is a ferry that takes about 15 minutes. We went on a weekend, and it was open from 8:30 am to buy tkts. First come, first serve. At 9am, we took off. They will check your cooler for alcohol as it is not permitted on the island. The ferry is every 20 minutes until it reaches full capacity on the island.
The whole island is about 1.5 miles, and it has a bbq area, bathroom, and freshwater for showering. Beautiful white sand green water and lots of fish, be aware of jellyfish on the months of August and September.
Bring food, snacks, and drinks. There are no places to buy anything.
Will definitely come back. It is on my list of favorite beaches in FL.
Singer Island is a scenic destination with an extensive white-sand beach, offering marinas and bike paths surrounded by luxurious houses and condos. Palm Beach Island is the nearby alternative for those seeking less crowd. The beach features some seaweed, but parking at the mall area is free. The ocean walk can be hot, so protective footwear is recommended. Visitors can enjoy beach tennis competitions here regularly.
I left four miles of footprints on its seven miles of pristine shoreline. I know the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic will erase it, that's why I'm planning to come back soon.

Stayed here many times for work and made 2 family vacations here. Great place, nice staff, clean fresh rooms. Beach is always nice with a decent view. There is a $32 daily resort fee and $20 daily parking fee. An extra $52 a day in fees is disappointing.

I have been coming here for 20 years or so and I absolutely love this Beach. When others are full of seaweed this one is not. The water is always crystal clear and there are rocks for snorkeling that are beautiful. Great for Turtle watching too. I highly recommend.

I like this beach. It's very crowded so if you want less of a crowd, go to Palm Beach Island. There is a little bit of seaweed here. Parking is free at the mall area. There is a big beach tennis competition happening. The walk to the ocean is very hot across the sand so wear your shoes. My feet were burning in flip flops. I'd come to this beach again.

We have been enjoying Singer Island/Rivera Beach since my 24 year old was 6 years old. It is not commercialized like Miami or Fort Lauderdale (which we like for their own unique attributes), but it is just a low key and uneventful beautiful shoreline. The beach has both private and public sections and we have had opportunities to enjoy both as it all the same coastline☺️. We are not poor, but we are not rich either and that is what we like about the place. You see a good mix of economic classes of all races enjoying God's creation. I hope we always take care of this beach and keep our oceans healthy.
