Pioneer Park is a picturesque and historic park in Walla Walla, known for its beautiful trees that include Cyprus, Oak, Maple, pine and other impressive specimens. In addition to the well-maintained grounds, it boasts an aviary, duck pond, ball fields and meandering walking paths.
Pioneer Park was gorgeous when I visited family in Walla Walla in early March this year. It was a good 70 degrees outside and not a cloud in the sky! The path ways, the trees, the birds, etc. Were just amazing! I wish I had a park near my home like this I'd be going every day!

Such a fun park! Many different options for fun for all ages! The ducks are not afraid and will come right up and bug you for food! Be careful of the trees dropping heavy chestnuts (I believe). There is plenty of room for games like catch or frisbee. Sunny areas but plenty of shade and water features!

This is one of the most beautiful parks in Walla Walla and possibly even the Pacific Northwest. It's a special place. There is a lot of history here and the trees are older and much larger than they are in other less recently settled places in Eastern Washington. The early 20th century gazebo adds to the charm. If you can, go in spring and fall for the colors.

Love this park and all the birds! There's also pickleball courts and the dog loves the squirrels. Landscaping is very nice and has beautiful, huge, very old trees.

Pioneer Park is a clean, fun, and expansive Park just outside of downtown with a playground, rentable indoor venue, picnic benches, and plenty of shade from the old growth trees throughout.

Our beautiful local park! Love this place, They go all out for holidays and always a great time here, 4th of July, Christmas, Spring Fling. Always making memories! My son grew up playing in this park!

As parks go, this one is a gem. The trees in this park are absolutely amazing. Cyprus, Oak, Maple, pine. Some of the most impressive specimens I have ever seen. Add to that, pickle ball courts, aviary, walking trails and meticulously maintained grounds. Not many better parks anywhere.

Great Experience! Beautiful park… would like to know how the irrigation system works for flora in scenery? Curious.

What an incredible park with lots of room to explore. There is a gazebo, play equipment, walking paths, bird watching at the pond, and the aviary. We didn't walk the whole park this day so I know we missed a good part. It's very well maintained and cared for park. Such a nice surprise and experience.

Beautiful park with much to see. Many of the trees are old, and this place has a great energy. The aviary was interesting to see, the pond and everything is well kept. The prosthetic branch (sculpture) was quite the surprise and very well done.

Pioneer Park is the nicest city park I've ever been too without paying a fee, there isn't anything like it in CA. I always mention it to people who visit from out of town it's a great place to relax, get a workout, bird watch, walk your dog, or even hold gatherings. Love it!!

I love this park. My aunt and uncle lived 2 blocks away. It is so beautiful, and well maintained. There are so many things to do for everyone. We have been visiting for 64 years now.
Great visit. Enjoyed the tasting and a great tour of the production facility. Wine was good and we purchased a case. Our favorite was the Sangiovese.

Lovely setting. Good wine tasting. I enjoyed the reds. Food is available, I believe $25. Been wanting to visit for years. Tastings are mostly outside. Many seating options available.

We did not experience any of the negatives mentioned in other reviews. We had good, knowledgeable service and we enjoyed the wine. Some of the better structured wine we tasted this year. The views are very nice and more idyllic than many of the newer places. I would recommend based on this visit.

What a winery! The tasting room has a fantastic view of the surrounding hills and has lots of seating outside in the grass or patio. The tasting lineup was wonderful, a great variety of reds. The people pouring were very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, even when large groups starting rolling in. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed ourselves.

Just a blah experience. Charcuterie board was unacceptable for $25...this picture is how we received the board. We had not touched it yet. Basically, it was one of those adult lunchables straight from the package (I saw the lady toss the package in the trash).
First time we came here in 9/2021, we fell in love w the winery and became members...even with the unfriendly service. We assumed it was a one off...visited the winery yesterday and had the exact same experience with the lady. It feels like you're bothering her if you ask questions.

This was our fourth visit to the tasting room
We thought we would give Wally Walla Vintners another try (since we really like their wine) and our tasting room experience was wonderful. Dakota met us coming in and seated us at a very comfortable table outside. She was friendly and very knowledgeable, the scenery was beautiful and the wine was excellent. Everything was perfect so I restarted my Wine Club membership. I would give more stars if I could.
Previous Review
This was our third visit to the tasting room. I am a wine club member. This time the experience was not so good. Wine was excellent, as always but having a leaf blower just outside the door was very annoying. We had a reservation for tasting and it seems that the leaf blowing could have waited until we were done. There were also nats around the table some got into my wine.
Also no extras just the 5 wines listed for tasting. Additional pours are extra.
No additional wines available for tasting. No deals. Being a wine club member I got 10% off and free tasting.
We had brought friends along who had not visited the winery previously. They loved the scenery but had the same comments.
We will not be returning to the tasting room.
This museum is absolutely huge.. I spent an hour there and that wasn't even close to enough time. I would suggest planning on 2 hours and it's worth the time. The exhibits are wonderfully put together showing how life was back in the day. Lots of local history and cultural information with great artifacts.. I would suggest this place to anyone who appreciates history..

This museum is not part of the national or state park system. It is a locally-run museum, and admission is only $10 for adults. The exhibits are very well done and informative. It would take almost a whole day to see the whole museum and all it's outdoor buildings. For anyone interested in local history this is a great place to visit.

Had an excellent time with my daughter and her fourth grade class. Anita, our guide (docent), led us through the exhibits and gave us background and context for all of the pieces. Everything was clean, the staff in the gift shop was friendly, and there was a lot to see both inside and out. We appreciated the A/C in the main building and the nicely kept grounds outside. The play structure was fun to have as well (although a little full with so many students).

We were driving and I spotted the open signs. It said they were only open another 30 minutes. I expected it to be a small area we could easily get through. The amazing woman in the gift center worked with us when we realized it was much bigger. Told us all about the Oregon trail program in the summer. We will definitely be back!

Very informative, lots of things to see. This museum was created by families that lived here to preserve the history so there are a lot of items and photos. My favorites were the prison info, the quilts, and finding my great grandfather's donation stone!

The people who run it are great! I highly recommend it to visit. They put on many interesting and informative living history presentations throughout the year.

We really wanted to go inside and spend some time inside the museum, unfortunately we've been traveling with our dogs on our quest to visit all of Washington State and the temperature was above 100⁰ so we couldn't leave the dogs in the truck which meant we either took turns to go in or not go at all... we chose the latter and headed back to the picnic area for lunch and get a couple of shots of the artillery equipment. Hope to someday come back without the dogs.

We stopped at Yellowhawk Tasting Room on vacation to check out the sparkling wine. My friends and I really enjoyed their wine and the location was beautiful.
I then decided to bring a travel group of 25 people back to Yellowhawk. We were BLOWN AWAY by the beautiful surroundings, service, food, and wine! We were set up outside under a private tent with a food and wine pairing. Winemaker George-Anne talked to us about each wine and answered all our questions. FANTASTIC experience!

The wine is amazing but the service was the worst I’ve had in a long time! There was almost as many people working as there was people at the winery and still we waited 10 minutes for our first drinks. That wasn’t terrible but then we finished those drinks and sat at our table without drinks for about 20 minutes, watching our waitress walk past us about 6 times without even looking in our direction. I finally got up and chased her down and asked for drinks and an appetizer. I asked for a glass of wine and got a 2 oz taster instead. The appetizer I asked for we never got. When we asked for our check, the charge for the appetizer was on it. We had to ask to have that removed since we never got it. It was an absolutely horrendous experience!! Go there to buy the wine but don’t sit down because you’ll likely get treated like a ghost like us.

Visited once and that was enough.
Dined on the patio. It was a beautiful day and lovely scenic spot.
Charcuterie board was disappointing as it was presented in a manner that appeared hastily thrown together. The typical mustards, jellies, and dried fruits one would expect was missing. Server was also unfortunately unable to answer almost all of our questions regarding the food menu and sparkling wines offered on the tasting menu. Presentation lacked inspiration. The new ownership of this winery still have a lot to learn/improve on the wine tasting experience, especially in comparison to other wineries nearby.
Furthermore, there should be a courtesy to diners to inform them of a standard 20% gratuity when checking into their reservation and not at the time of presenting the bill to the patron. Given the low quality of the service, this was like rubbing salt on a wound. Gratuity at that percentage should always be at the discretion of the diner.
Would not recommend dining here unless some serious changes happen.

We stopped by the Yellowhawk resort for lunch and tasting because it was supposed to be very scenic. That is true. It's a very nice setting. Unfortunately, that's where the good news stops. We were directed to a table by the hostess and we then sat there for 20 minutes receiving zero attention from any of the wait staff. I recognize that staffing is a challenge these days but that was not the case here. Staff numbers were more than sufficient. We were given neither lunch nor tasting menus. I finally called to a waiter who came over. He was personable and brought the menus. We selected lunch and two tasting flights - one sparkling and one still. When the flights arrived, two of the wines were not what we had ordered. Had to get that fixed. Didn't mater much. The wines weren't that good. Lunch arrived and the smoked chicken salad was good, the sashimi scallops very good and the french fries limp and soggy. We then went back to the same situation as when we arrived - no attention from any of the wait staff, including our waiter who apparently had decided to simply leave. I asked a server at the next table over if we could get our bill, which was when I was informed that he had left. She said that she noticed we were being ignored (then why didn't you do something about it?) and she would bring over the manager to make it right. The manager arrived and her definition of "Make it right" was to ask whether or not we had been informed of the mandatory 20% service charge. I had not, but considering that we were initially ignored, our waiter had left, the other server felt it appropriate to have you come over, perhaps that could be waived as a gesture of goodwill. No, it could not. While 20% is my base tip amount, the quid pro quo should be some level of competent service. At that point I decided I would not be returning to Yellowhawk.
Addendum: The following day while driving back home I received a phone call from the resort. The person had heard of my experience and wanted to know if there was something she could do, such as a free tasting flight. I said the time to address the issue was when were there and since we were on our way home 300 miles away a tasting flight wouldn't be too helpful. She did ask if she could send a bottle of wine but, like I said, I didn't find my tastings very impressive.
I expect ours was an isolated experience. Sometimes things go wrong. But when they do, address it at the time, rather than laying the blame at the waiter who left and throwing a Hail Mary the following day.

The grounds are beautiful and I very much enjoyed the sparkling wines. Did not care for the lack of complexity in most other reds I tried.
What is unacceptable to me is that after ordering a full case of wine following my tasting, the waitress notified me that they 'don't honor the tasting waiver' if we order wine from them. One of the tackiest moves I've seen a winery pull. All other wineries I have visited in Walla Walla know better.
Grounds make for a beautiful spot to visit, but I would definitely not consider this a serious vineyard.
I am a current student (class of 2024). I think Whitman has been affordable and given me a high quality education. As a fin-aid/Pell Grant student, Whitman was around the same as my state university (Maine) with higher quality of education. I'm graduating soon with debt way below the national average.
Downtown is super close to campus and I can easily walk for coffee, the the bookstore, or to any number of fantastic restaurants. There are tons of events on campus every week, from guest speakers to concerts. There's a club for anything as well. Our campus newspaper, the Whitman Wire, is awesome. I never feel bored. Plus, classes keep me very occupied. Whitman doesn't tend to do busy work. Classes are usually discussion based with an emphasis on writing and speaking. Essays and class discussion posts are a regular occurrence. Professors are very accessible, office hours are required for all instructors. I've been able to get to know my advisor and department very well over the past four years.
Campus culture is open and friendly. People hold doors and wave hello to each other between classes. It's easy to meet new people. I've found great life-long friends. Some parties on the weekend but there isn't pressure to go. There of plenty of people more like me who'd rather do something more casual or not drink as often. People here work-hard and really care about doing well, but it's not cut-throat or uber competitive. I'm super grateful for all the support Whitman has given me and I feel prepared to do well post-grad.

Whitman is a fantastic liberal arts school with the best professors, small class sizes, a beautiful campus and buildings, and it's in a gorgeous area. As a bonus, Whitman sends many students to top graduate programs in the world in many different fields! My time at Whitman was highlighted by my close relationships with my professors, chances to do scientific research on campus, and the many excellent friendships and connections I made during my time there. I can't recommend Whitman enough as a college to both learn about the world and yourself.
Do yourself a favor and seriously consider Whitman as an option for college.

My Whitman degree prepared me for graduate work at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a rewarding career in the civil service. Whitman has very high academic standards and students cooperate to graduate. Access to professors is superb and the student body is bright and hard working. Most students play intramural sports and take advantage of the Outing Program which sponsors outdoor events all over the Pacific Northwest. If you’re looking for an academic challenge with top-notch graduate prospects and a tight-knit and friendly student body, Whitman should be on your short list.

My education and experiences during my time at Whitman were truly life changing. Whitman's innovative Semester in the West program taught me to challenge my own bias and assumptions, to seek out opposing views, to respect diversity of thought, to see the nuances in life and people, and to strive for compromise.
Through Whitman's incredibly well run off-campus studies program, I was able to study "Sustainability in Europe" in Copenhagen, Denmark right beside the European Union's environment agency headquarters. While back in Walla Walla, I also had the privilege of taking Bob Carson's environmental field studies course which exposed me to local rural environmental issues in a deeply meaningful way.
As a result of my Whitman education, I am committed to doing all I can to 'translate these local, regional, and global experiences into an ethical and meaningful life of purpose."
I was truly inspired to read the news about Whitman's new commitment to divest from fossil duels and to bolster their investments in renewable energy and sustainably minded companies.
I am forever grateful and indebted to Whitman College. Thank you for believing in me and investing in my education.
Very Respectfully,
Harrison Wills

I had the worst school experiences of my life at this college. People were very mean and judgemental and the school itself is overpriced and overrated. You pay around the same tuition as you would pay for Harvard or Yale with about as much distinction as you would get from most accredited colleges. I ended up getting a BS at Capella University for a fraction of the cost of one year's tuition at Whitman College. If you're concerned with Greek life and drinking, then Whitman College is for you, but if you're concerned with getting your money's worth from a university, then avoid Whitman college at all costs.

We decided to visit Pepper Bridge for our first ever winery tour based on the recommendation of a friend. We loved it! Stefan was our tour guide, he was very knowledgable and friendly! He was willing to answer all of our questions (which we had a lot of, as we're new to learning about wine) and he instantly made us feel welcomed. We decided to add a tasting after the tour and it was a lovely experience. It was so peaceful looking over the tranquil vineyards while enjoying their current wine selections. I highly recommend visiting Pepper Bridge for a tour.

This is definitely one of Walla walla’s most well known and premier wineries. After a short drive through he vines you find yourself in a great tasting room right in the vines! What a beautiful and amazing first wine tour experience my friends and I!! Highly recommend this location for anyone. Great views to amazing tasting experience, the lunch provided from an outer source was perfect and went even better with the wine selections. Not one of the selections was ‘disliked’.
Our tour guide Reagan was kind, fun, and very knowledgeable with great answers to all questions. He even called a partner winery if they had space for us to continue wine tastings close by (Amavi, another amazing experience also) and was so blessed to have that option due to his generous idea to call for us!! What a gem and truly loves what he does.
Brianna was whom I coordinated over the phone and via email. She was spectacular and always available when needed. Never put on hold and gave us the whole experience we hoped for and more!!

Perhaps my favorite winery of our trip to Walla Walla. The setting and staff were outstanding, with scenic views of the hills around WW that can’t be beat. Most importantly, the wine was fantastic. Went there Saturday, 10/28/23 to do some tastings. Our server was rushed, very cold and not as good as an experience we had just had at another winery up the road. She acted like she didn't care if we were there or not. If she had put a little more effort in to the experience, we would have thought what a great winery, but unfortunately she left us with a bad taste.
Northstar was a pleasant surprise. It was a busy Saturday for them. Hint: when tasting wines in a post Covid world make a reservation. We did. Upon arrival we were escorted promptly to our table where we were greeted by our tasting guide Lynn. She was fabulous. Went through their tasting list plus a couple more. Even enjoyed a short conversation with their winemaker Jan. Beyond their wonderful hospitality our group discovered amazing wines. Northstar has a delicious selection of wines. Each one was a great. We were 2 couples, both couples joined Northstar's wine club. You will enjoy this Winery. And if you go, make a reservation!

We enjoyed our visit to Northstar Winery so much. Our sommelier (wine steward/expert) Ayana was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. It was a pleasure talking with her and even though she was splitting her time with 2 other parties we never felt rushed or that her attention was elsewhere.
We did the standard $20 tasting flight, Ayana brought each wine to us separately, told us a little about the wine and then gave us time to enjoy it before bringing the next sample. She asked us our opinions of the wines and we discussed them a little between glasses too.
We have been to 8 wineries in the past 4 days and she was by far the best sommelier we have had.

All-around stellar experience! Leanne (pardon any misspelling!) took such good care of me I made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. This has always been one of my favorite Washington wines. I bought my first bottle within a couple of years of their first vintage. The winery has a great ( and tragic) story. The service was friendly and the tasting area is one of the better versions available in the area. I bought their Riesling, a wine I haven’t purchased in about 20 years. But I found this version interesting. I strongly considered several reds but I already have most of them!

While visiting Walla Walla we decided to try 3 different wineries.
This was our 3rd.
We obviously saved the best for last.
Each tasting was exceptional, Jozee (?), was very informative.
We left as Club members and some great wine to take home and share with friends.
My husband and I were here in 2020. The tasting rooms itself has beautiful views and decks to taste wine on. The tastings had the same wines side by side but different years of the wine, which I really appreciated. The wines were delicious and high quality, especially for their price point.
We ended up liking the wine so much, we became members! I was making some additions to the Spring shipment and had some questions. I called in and Linda was so helpful. She was friendly, patient with all of my questions, and helped me make pick the perfect case.
I recommend Amavi if you are in the area or ordering some of the wine!

Loved our charcuterie board. The medium was perfect for 4 people. Loved the space and the dog friendly patio. Service was really friendly. Only part we didn't fall in love with was the wine so we didn't buy any but we had a lovely time

Our tasting experience could have been better. The tasting room staff was friendly and efficient but we found the wines available for tasting were limited and for the most part not of the quality we expected. We had to pay for tasting in advance when we made our appointment. I do not think we will be coming back.

If I could rate this more than 5 stars I would! We had a wonderful experience with Matt as our server. We usually don't care for white/Rose, but we enjoyed these wines at Amavi and the reds were excellent. Matt is an asset to Amavi! We look forward to continuing to enjoy these excellent wines.

Amavi is a beautiful vineyard and winery! The vineyard is absolutely stunning during golden hour, and the inside tasting area is gorgeous. I am not an alcohol drinker, just there to take photos!

The wine was great and Linda was very hospitable and fun. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio, we didn’t even mind the noise from the construction! Can’t wait to see their patio done next time we visit!

Great wines and service. We always stop there when in Walla Walla. Great view.

When entering the winery, the front staff were very welcoming! Natasha, my boyfriends and my server, she is awesome! She will tell you the exact varietals in the vintage along with what the varietal will pair well with. 10/10 recommend asking for her when coming by. All around great time! Left with a bottle I'm a happy girl.

We enjoyed some delicious wine on their dog-friendly patio with beautiful views of the valley and mountains. It was very relaxing. Linda was a great host with lots of details and hospitality. It’s nice that they have a tasting room in Vancouver so we can visit again closer to home.

We stumbled upon Walla Walla Valley on our elopement/honeymoon road trip around the PNW area. We did the sensory tasting and paired it with cheese and chocolate tasting. By far the best wine experience we have ever had. All the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Tiffany was very knowledgeable and detail oriented. She helped us throughout the tasting and you could tell she actually cared about us and our experience. You don’t find that a lot these days. I will definitely return again someday. It’s worth the trip all the way from Florida.

Linda was a wonderful and knowledgeable host. The other staff were also engaging and welcoming. We really enjoyed the red wines and the setting is beautiful too.

This place was very crowded, but also very nice. Their deck had a very good view of the hills in the distance. We all kept getting caught just staring at the hills and not drinking our wine. Speaking of wine, it was very good. We were continuously surprised at the quality of wines in WA.

Fun staff and dog friendly! Definitely had fun with the scent kits. We will be back for both the amazing wine and nice atmosphere

I love coming here to have tastings or to buy bottles from them. Sipping on a glass while looking out at the view of the valley is very relaxing. The Semillion is my favorite!

Yesterday, we tasted wonderful wine with delicious cheese and left with a couple bottles for home.
The young man who introduced us to each tasting was well informed and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better day to enjoy the patio.
We will definitely return, if we pass this way again
Kirkman House Museum is a Victorian home turned museum that showcases period furnishings from the 19th century. It also features an exhibit dedicated to Adam West, displaying his work as Batman and other projects he was involved in. The interactive media stand and Batman Bookshelf/Bat Pole add to the immersive experience. This historical museum offers great value for students, with friendly volunteer docents available to provide information about the exhibits.
A great spot, great price for students. The volunteer docents are very chatty, so make sure you're aware of how much time you have and be direct about it up front.

Decided to check this place out and was glad that I did.. the house and antiques are gorgeous with a wonderful history. My favorite part was the room dedicated to Adam West the original Batman. He was born in Walla Walla Washington and the room has a lot of props and memorable from the show that are very well presented..
Definitely worth checking out and recommend anyone who likes antiques history and Batman to do the same..

Restoration and preservation of the Kirkman House is an obvious labor of love not only of the Historical Society but also the community of Walla Walla and the Kirkman family. Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity taken to visit the Kirkman House Museum. An added bonus was the Adam West exhibition room! Photography allowed if done without flash.

We enjoyed the Adam West exhibit that they have on display here. It was WONDERFUL. They really capture the essence of the type of person that Adam West was. Not only was his Batman work up for display, but there was some of his other work on display too. There is an interactive media stand on display as well as an interactive Batman Bookshelf/Bat Pole too! This was a very awesome experience! I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family!

Neat old house, interesting stories from the docent. Would like to see modern computer taken out of kitchen and that room set up more authentically. Out- buildings were not part of the tour and could use improvement. Price seemed a bit high. Regardless, I love historical buildings and am glad it’s preserved.

We visited July 22nd and had a great time! The lady showing the house was very knowledgeable and told us some great stories about the home, family and some of her experiences. I would absolutely recommend people to visit the Kirkman House Museum.

By the looks from the outside, would probably be nice to visit, but, when looking on website, it has hours posted. When you get there, someone inside is decorating a christmas tree, but sign says "closed for winter maintenance". UPDATE YOUR WEB SITE PLEASE

Wow! I learned so much about the area. The history of the house itself was really interesting and what it represents about the community was fascinating. The Adam West inclusion was great fun.
We’ve been here several times now, each time a great experience. Carlos and staff are friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious. Saviah makes quite a few different wines, and they are great value for the money! Highly recommended.

We've been club members for a decade and never once thought to shift to another winery. One of the finest wine maker's in the Valley. And the tasting today was amazing! Viognier was spectacular.
Lori Main — Google review
I have been a fan of Saviah ever since they were just doing tastings on a plank over two barrels in a shed. The minute I tried their wine I knew they would be a big deal. That is why I keep coming back every time I am in Walla Walla! Their wines are rich and bold, while remaining smooth and sophisticated. Of course, you can't beat the rocks district Funk coined by their wine-maker. Very distinct and fun, I have picked it out in blind tastings with ease before.
I look forward to many more years of visits!

Saviah provides a wonderful tasting experience. Helpful, welcoming staff and mouth-watering wines. As wine-club members the bonus chocolate is a special treat with the red wine. Highly recommend Saviah.
Judith George — Google review
Of all the wineries I tried here in Walla Walla, Saviah had the most consistent lineup and evocative noses on its wines. Many wineries I had to really focus to get anything out of the nose. Helen and Carey (pardon any misspelling!) we’re so courteous and hospitable sharing insight and their passion for wine. Previously had a fantastic bottle of Petit Verdot from the area and there’s was just as memorable so I took home a bottle. Easily a top recommendation.

Got to Walla Walla early and passed by Saviah. Thought I’d stop in before my reservations. So glad I did. Super friendly service. Beautiful property. Left with a bottle of Tempranillo!

High expectations, subpar experience. Had an older gentleman giving us tasting notes, which went way too fast, we're all at once, and seemed like a regurgitation of the tasting notes on the menu. After never being checked on while tasting, and not enjoying our last two wines, we went to pay for our tastings. The older gentleman noted how quickly we went though the tasting, note, he never checked on us once during our 15 minute stay, so we discussed our thoughts on the last two wines. Luckily the younger woman who ended up closing us out wanted to offer another taste to us, which ended up being our favorite. I would have rated this experience a 2 star if it were not for the final experience of the younger woman stepping in.

A group of us went wine tasting for my bachelorette and had such an amazing time here. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The winery was beautiful and had lots of space. Jared made it extra special for my big weekend with a tour to see the barrels. Cannot thank them enough for a memorable day. Also ALL the wine is fantastic!

Saviah was our first stop on our Walla Walla wine journey and we loved our visit. Saviah reds (Big Sky Cuvée, Hunt and Gather, Tempranillo from the Rocks) were some of our favorites of our entire trip. Helen was so friendly and went over the top to make our visit exceptional. We can’t wait to return next time we’re in Walla Walla.

As a group of 6, we didn’t love our experience here. We were on a girls trip and this was our 3rd stop of the day. The servers were not as friendly as previously wineries and the atmosphere was very dull. It seemed like it was maybe an older crowd, 50+. It didn’t feel like somewhere where you could laugh and have fun, very rigid. Sadly, we won’t be making this a stop during future trips. For the younger crowd I don’t recommend this place. 👎🏻

It was quite busy when I arrived, so it took a bit for the staff to catch up and get to me. That said, the wine was excellent, and the staff more than made up for the wait-time with a chocolate treat and generous tastings. I will definitely be back!

Great wine, good people, lovely patio that we thoroughly enjoyed. A highlight winery, for sure. Small packaged meat and cheese available to purchase. Definitely recommend.
Seven Hills Winery is a well-established winery situated in an old woodworking mill that offers guided tours and wine tastings with light refreshments. It is one of the original wineries in the Walla Walla region, boasting a charming tasting room that provides an extensive selection of reds, whites, and roses. The knowledgeable staff provides information on the company's history and wine-making process while answering any questions visitors may have. Cellar tours are available along with special barrel tastings.
Delicious, high quality wines, friendly and knowledgeable tasting room staff and close to the hotel. We did not have an appointment. Really did not need one on a Tuesday. Wine is a good value.

The place is stunning, and the customer service was amazing... wine... It's not as good. It's almost in downtown walla walla so you can go there by walking and enjoy some wine.
They have tours for groups.
Overall, it's a spot that is worth it to visit because the beauty of the place and the information you will get with the proffeaional and friendly stuff , grab something quick, and get wine bottles somewhere else.

Winery with a tasting room located in a historic brick building downtown Walla Walla. We enjoyed the signature wine tasting, the reds we tasted were very good. Very friendly and informative service as well.

Wonderful winery! One of the originals in the Walla Walla region. Lovely tasting room with a great selection of reds, whites, and rosés. Staff was extremely knowledgeable about the company and the wine making process and were able to answer questions. We were given a tour of the cellar and a special barrel tasting (double bonus as we got to escape the 110 degree heat wave). Bought two bottles which waives the tasting fees. All around great place.

This place is so cute and they let you bring your pup inside! Our person serving us wine (I’m not sure what their official title is) was very kind, knowledgeable, and took her time to educate us on the history of the place and the wine. Our dog received many pets from the staff and other guests and even got a treat. He was definitely in heaven and we got to enjoy a wonderful wine tasting! Highly recommend this place, especially if you have a social doggo you like to bring places.

I really liked this place. One of the women was very knowledgable about the whole process of making wine from vine to bottle.
We got an informative tour of the winery. They actually produce the wine there. It is not just a local for tasting and selling their product.
We had plenty of time to taste the wine and each was described to us. We had a charcuterie board provided which enhanced our drinking pleasure.
The wines we sampled all all great. Though each of us had our own favorites.
A great experience and worth the visit if you’re interested in drinking and sampling wine in something other than sterile store fronts that seem to abound in town
We visited here and this winery has lots of
Syrah so if you like that type of wine this place is a good place. We enjoyed all their wine. But wineries are not just about wine it is also about the people and the staff here was great. We talked about wine, Walla Walla, life and more. The location is a little hidden without big signage so use your maps to find them.

Before heading over to Walla Walla this weekend, Gramercy Cellars had been recommended as a fantastic winery to visit. My friend Gina sent in a reservation request and received a prompt response from the tasting room manager. We just returned from our wine tasting, and we were all very impressed with our experience. We were a few minutes late, so we called, and Austin said he would keep the door open for us. Throughout the tasting, Austin described the nuances of each wine and told us stories about the winery's history, vintages, and vineyards. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and professional. We all left with several bottles. Tasting room is intimate and has a fantastic vibe. Highly recommend! Thank you, Austin, for a fantastic wine-tasting experience!

We had a very enjoyable tasting experience at Gramercy Cellars. Our host Austin displayed extensive knowledgeable about the wine making process and the Gramercy wines we tasted. He was also quite personable, further enhancing our delightful experience tasting these wonderful wines. There are enough wineries in Walla Walla to spend months touring and tasting all. Gramercy Cellars wines are a standout and we would highly recommend this winery as a priority visit..

Said they were open, we even made a reservation. Get there and the gate was closed. Nothing on the website or the recorded voice message when calling!
Edit: I raised the stars a couple based on the quick response from Tranche. Thanks for the response. We very well could have been at the service entrance. We were at the pin, as indicated here, on google maps. However, not full stars provided as we called 6 times over a 15min window and no one answered. That would have cleared up the entrance issue.

Let's start—they make good wine. The building is lovely design and both outside/inside feels like an experience. Staff is very kind and accommodating. The wine? Fantastic, reasonably priced, and locally sourced
The space? Gorgeous, open and full of good vibes.
The owners and winemaker? Friendly, welcoming, sincere and generous brothers. And their tasting room staff are the same!

Love coming here with friends and sitting in their loft area during the winter and sitting outside on the patio during summer. The tastings are enjoyable and the staff friendly.
Picturesque, relatively quiet (early morning) place to take the dogs for an enjoyable hike. Many trails along the creek, to and around the lake. Areas are marked where dogs can go off-leash but he mindful of hunting and, as we left, we saw a recommendation to wear high visibility colored clothing if you want to be extra careful. Recommended.

Rooks Park was named for Navy Captain Albert Rooks, the commanding officer of the USS Houston, a heavy cruiser in WW II. It is an Army Corps of Engineers park on the north bank of Mill Creek. It has a resident host during the summer and can be reached by car off Mill Creek Road or by walking on the levees on the sides of Mill Creek. We were there today walking our dogs (on leash) and saw a bald eagle perched high in a Cottonwood above a gaggle of Canadian geese. Lots of ducks there, also some grebes or loons. Kingfisher's there in the warm months.
Nice place to visit along gurgling Creek.

There is a fabulous park here with plenty of picnic areas, a large playground and open grassy areas. But the real gem is the long flat trail that goes along the river. It runs on both sides (one is mostly paved and the other not) so you can hike or bike along one side and come back on the other by crossing one of several small pedestrian bridges that cross over the river.
2nd Street Distillery, Bontzu Cellars, Goose Ridge Winery, and other establishments are among the featured tasting rooms in the event. Despite a less than satisfactory previous visit, I returned to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room with the sole purpose of acquiring their delightful Grenache rose. This time around, the staff provided exceptional service as we were promptly seated and enjoyed a delightful experience.
A wonderful wine tasting experience, sitting on the patio enjoying a tasting flight. The service was wonderful, knowledgeable but also gave us space to enjoy the wines and conversation. Our favourites we're the Malbec, Chardonnay, Rose and the Tempinillo Bubbles we're lovely! Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!

I understand that when the sign states tastings are finished an hour before closing that it is reasonable. I don't appreciate the staff members when they condescendingly say - "Should have been here 4 minutes earlier."
Really sends a message that they don't care if you are here or not.

After having a less then desirable experience a year ago, we made it back again to at the very least get a bottle of their delicious Grenache rose. The staff was amazing this time. We were seated quickly and had a wonderful time. We were checked on multiple times by various staff who were always happy to answer any questions we had about the wine. Browne has both space indoors and outside. Make sure you have a reservation on the weekend but even if you don't, it is still worth trying to have some wine with them.
