The National Navy SEAL Museum is a compact but impressive establishment with displays showcasing the history and equipment used by the Navy SEALs. Visitors can explore exhibits of armory, weaponry, and historical artifacts while also experiencing a realistic feeling of being a paratrooper inside a helicopter. The museum has an excellent section on Medal of Honor recipients, which highlights their bravery in full detail. Additionally, visitors can learn about the various operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside declared wars such as Panama and Haiti.
This is a small museum but packed full of excellent exhibits, armory, movies and weaponry. The volunteer docents were very good and explained everything to us before we entered. Climb inside the helicopter and you will get a realistic feeling of what it was like to be a paratrooper. The Medal of Honor section was excellent because it gave the full story of the bravery of the recipients. We particularly enjoyed seeing all of the operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside of declared wars (Panama, Haiti, etc.) The Normandy section was very good as were the sections on canines. Great experience.

The museum was a fantastic experience. It's not the biggest, but each item and exhibit was authentic and high quality. Extra points if you are able to speak to some of the workers regarding the origin stories of some of the pieces. There is a military discount for veterans and active duty. The grounds outside the building also have really great exhibits. To cap it off, you can walk from the parking lot to the beach and enjoy some fun and sun all in one visit

This place is cool! The outdoors are totally free and perfect for kids (of all ages). There is a fee to tour the museum inside. The ships are amazing and really give you a sense of the hardships of battle. After your done here, you can go directly to the beach in the same parking lot, or the playground next door. BTW parking is ample and also free 😃

Great place if you are there when there is not a crowd. I enjoyed all the exhibits. They were quite interesting and the obstacle course outside was fun. At the same time, I was quite disappointed about the inconsistency of mask wearing among the staff and the inability to socially distance within this setting. That's why I only gave a 4. We were between 2 large groups of people who were oblivious to everyone else around them and totally ignored any type of 6 foot space. Even a staff member who was unmasked continued to approach me (masked )to talk about something-disregarding my "No, thankyou"'s and my backing away from him. I just found it surprising during Covid. I think it would work better if there was perhaps an overall limit on the number of people in the building at one time so there is more ability to have some distance from others.

Being a Navy Veteran, this place has been on my list for a while. I finally got the opportunity to go today. (9/3/22) It's an INCREDIBLE experience. A very well laid out museum with tons to see and interact with. It really brought back a lot of memories for me.
If you are planning on going, set aside a GOOD block of time. Also try to go when the weather is good because there is a lot to see outside on the grounds as well.
Just an overall incredible experience. I look forward to going back, hopefully with friends and share all the history contained therein.

This museum has so much information so I recommend allotting 2-3 hours to tour. I really enjoyed my time there and learned so much about the Histiry of the Navy Seals.
The museum and grounds are spectacular and so well kept. I was super impressed with everything.
Mr. Andy Brady runs the museum and he shared quite a bit of the SEAL history as we were leaning facility.
There is a store on site with souvenirs and more. I highly recommend visiting if in the area or have a passion for the Navy Seals.

I brought my two year old and my 8 year old here. I was able to use a wagon and navigate thru pretty okay. It has lots of gear, weapons, machinery-pretty much everything navy seals use and have used. They show you the changes in equipment over the decades. They have an outdoor obstacle course that the navy seals use. My son had fun. They also had some boats, and other vehicles that you can actually get inside of. There is a small memorial garden honoring fallen seals throughout the different wars. I feel like it’s a bit pricey for what they have and to be honest to allow people to experience history. Adults are $15, children are $7 and toddlers and infants are free.
There are a couple of picnic tables you can sit at and snack on. It does say no backpacks or big bags but because I had my son I guess they let me through with them-they didn’t question me.

So much better than expected! My wife spent a lot more time reading the displays next to the exhibits, and was more interested than she thought she would have been going in. The story telling is great, displays include everything from vehicles, boats, helicopters and gear. Great gift shop with reasonable things appropriate for friends and family. Discounts for families, seniors and vets. Go!

Excellent museum for all ages. Interactive and informative with recent updates. Free entrance after 3pm. Closed Monday. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. And beach short walk away.

What a tribute to those who have kept us safe and freedom alive! Weapons, vehicles, and moving stories of heroic sacrifice fill every corner. Modern static and interactive displays. Videos are so well done. Full size Blackhawk Helicopter inside. History spans from early beginnings as training ground right in Fort Pierce for WWII UDT Frogmen to today's SEAL (Sea/Air/Land) Teams. Outside is an amazing collection of boats and displays. Gift shop is well stocked with many mementos for your visit. We took 2 hours and scratched the service. Tickets are so reasonably priced. Don't miss WII beginnings: Normandy Invasion clearing mines and beach fortifications while being shot at and all with "swim trunks and a knife".

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Florida is truly an epic experience for anyone interested in the history of the Navy SEALs and the incredible sacrifices they've made for our country. From the moment you step onto the grounds of the museum, you can feel the weight of the history and the importance of the mission these brave men have undertaken.
The museum is filled with an amazing collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays that bring to life the heroic stories of the Navy SEALs. From the early days of the Underwater Demolition Teams to the modern-day operations, every aspect of their remarkable journey is captured in vivid detail.
The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly the actual gear, weapons, and equipment used by the SEALs, including the famous MK V Special Operations Craft and the SEAL Delivery Vehicle. Walking through these displays, you can't help but be in awe of the skill, bravery, and dedication of these warriors.
The museum also offers a number of hands-on experiences, like the chance to climb aboard a real Navy SEAL Mini-Sub and to test your skills on the SEAL Obstacle Course. These activities give you a small glimpse into the intense training and preparation that these elite soldiers undergo in order to carry out their missions.
One of the most moving parts of the museum is the tribute to the fallen heroes of the SEAL teams. The memorial wall and the displays honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice serve as a powerful reminder of the tremendous courage and sacrifice of these brave men.
The staff at the museum are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to sharing the incredible history and legacy of the Navy SEALs. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage with visitors make the experience even more enriching.
Visiting the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is not just a visit to a museum; it's an opportunity to gain a deep understanding and appreciation for the men who have served and continue to serve in the Naval Special Warfare community. This museum provides a truly epic and humbling experience that will leave you with a profound sense of respect and admiration for the Navy SEALs and their unwavering commitment to our their nation.

Leave it to UDT (oh yeah, Seals) to have a museum this awesome. We've visited three times and each time learn something new or discover a display that somehow missed our attention on the previous visit.
Make sure to visit on a sunny day as the outside displays (mostly SDVs and watercraft) are worth the walk.
The gift store? Just have your credit card at the ready, that's all I have to say about that.

Very impressed with this museum! The size can be deceiving from the outside. Every inch of this building is packed full of awesome artifacts and information.
It’s also very clean and well kept. Also very easy to navigate.
I highly recommend! Took us around 1 hour and 15 minutes to slowly walk and watch the videos.

What a great place to visit!! I am so thankful for these men who have given everything for our freedom!!! My wife's uncle was on Seal Team 2 and found his name on the wall. The staff was so helpful in finding his graduation photo!
Ft Pierce Inlet State Park is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. For just $6 per car, visitors can enjoy a half-mile beach with numerous activities such as swimming, fishing, surfing, scuba diving and bird-watching. Those interested in unique experiences can book the clear kayaking tour for $55 per person which requires advance reservations.
This is a great place for outdoor activities. It is 6$ a car to get in to the park and there are lots of things to do! When we were here we did the clear kayaking tour. This needs the be reserved ahead of time and is 55$ a person. It was worth every dollar. The guide is hilarious and knowledgeable! He takes you through the mangroves and to a secluded sandbar. This tour was around 3-4 hours long. We saw a lot of sea life! We can't wait to go on another tour here.

Great spot to bring paddleboards or kayaks and explore the mangroves - we always see tons of cool creatures from dolphins and sharks to turtles, raccoons, and birds.

Great beach! You have to pay to get in but totally worth it. We chose the “cove side” (there is a fork in the road and you can chose the Cove or the Beach side) the Cove side had some excavators digging up sand for a nearby location and my 3 year old went nuts seeing the equipment digging just like him. The Beach side was also amazing. We went right around low tide and it was great for little ones.

Gorgeous park with mangrove inlet area explorable through walking trails and paddle access, as well as the Atlantic coast beach area. Park ranger was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and the beach was amazing. Hurricane Ida stirred up some waves and wow was it sweet watching those brave surfers risk the currents AND the jellyfish! Kayak rentals and tours are offered by third party. We ended up going through Sunrise City adventures, (rentals only-no tour). Kayaks were only $25 for 2 hours! Unfortunately I didn't snap photos of that part because the tide was going out and we had to focus on paddling before we were swept out of the inlet area to the harbor area. Haha, it was fine and not that hard to paddle even against current.

Sensational state park. Great beaches. Perfect sand. Picnic tables nearby and clean restrooms. Kayaking rental available. Fishing to your hearts content. There's a little wildlife trail nearby too. But the beach and surfers are the main show. Plan a day during the week when it's less crowded. Bring your swimwear and enjoy!

I have been coming to this beach since I was 5 years old and every time we get to Florida we drive 40min from Jensen Beach to come to the beach because it’s the cleanest and is so flat which is very kid friendly and there’s always lots to see by the rocks…
Sometimes there’s a lot of surfers but they do typically stay close to the rocks and they watch out for people in the water

This is the go to place for swimming. It did cost 5 dollars I believe for a car load (All day), so not expensive. This place is super neat to visit. Diamond point has pristine water, white sand, and the water is calm. So perfect for swimming.
The beach is beautiful, perfect for paddling and surfing.
Definitely worth paying a visit if you are near the park.

Beautiful beach. Usually not too crowded. They also just installed newer bathrooms and washrooms. Very convenient. You can walk along the rocks, wade out waist deep or just sit back and relax in the sun.
You do have to pay to get in, unless you're a veteran and have signed up.
You can also take up to 8 people per car load, so then you can maximize your party for less!
The park rangers are always friendly and helpful if you need them.
Beware of Portuguese man-of-war, as they are everywhere.
Please do not dig holes in the sand, as it will mess up the turtles and their nesting.

My new favorite beach. Been looking for a place to go to since we moved up from Pompano. Beach is fairly wide, sand is clean, water is nice. Looking forward to summer and when the water temp gets higher.
Blind Creek Beach, situated south of Fort Pierce and two hours away from Merritt Island, is a clothing-optional beach that is well-known for offshore fishing and its function as a nesting site for green turtles. The beach's secluded and serene atmosphere provides the perfect location to relax on your final day in Florida before heading back home via Miami International Airport. With its ever-changing shoreline, Blind Creek Beach is a popular spot among regulars who flock to the area during good weather days.
I've been anticipating visiting here for over a year. It isn't close to where we live. So we had to wait until the time was right when we were passing by, so to say. It's not far off I-95. If you visit, please conduct yourself with the same or more polite etiquette as you would on a bathing suit beach. Enjoy the ocean as God intended us to enjoy it.

My first trip. I was born and raised in Ft. Pierce but moved away in 1988 and hadn't visited since 1999. Went to an uncle's funeral and while I was at it, I decided to finally go to Blind Creek Beach after wanting to go for a long time. I went at 6:30PM (I burn very easily so I went as the sun was going down), and there were just a few guys at the north side. Other than that, it was deserted. I went a little to the south side and put down my Turkish blanket. I had a thong on just in case I wasn't comfortable, but I quickly peeled it off and got naked and was there until sunset when the no-see-umms started biting my feet terribly. Nice beach, very pretty and simple. I'll absolutely go back again, hopefully with somebody else or with a group.

This is a beautiful beach. We enjoyed it a great deal. I have been here twice now. Once during a weekday and once on a weekend, and it's never been overly crowded. I actually found some really cool shells here, too.I feel like this is probably my favorite beach by far.

Clothing optional. I went there because I wanted to go someplace where I could be in my bikini and get some sun and wouldn't feel uncomfortable because I don't have a "bikini body". Most people were nude, not all, I ended up taking my top off and feeling completely comfortable with it, no one was staring at anyone. There was a variety of people there, young and beautiful to elderly and showing it, still beautiful as far as I'm concerned, and I guess as far as everyone there is concerned too. Every shape and size was represented, there was just no need the feel self conscious. It was my first time ever being around anything like that, it was a great experience. I went by myself. Also of note, I felt completely safe as a single woman.

Best Nude beach in Florida. No paying for parking, soon to be built bathrooms and rinse stations(currently not there, only portapotties but in prep for build). We go here 3-7 days a week if we can make it. No judgement zone and so much fun with the friends we have made here. Highly recommended if you love clothing optional!

First time ever on a clothing optional beach. Clean sand, no seaweed to be seen anywhere. Pretty crowded most people totally nude. Once you get over the initial nervousness it's actually quite fantastic. People keep to themselves and there are no judgements about people's appearance. Mostly couples there and it was really nice to take a walk with my husband naked on the sand. Already planning our next time to go.

Visited this clothing optional beach in March. Stopped by while driving from Miami to Orlando. The beach is neat and clean, water is shallow. We reached about evening while it wasn’t crowded, perhaps most of the people would have returned. But I don’t think this beach remains crowded at anytime. Saw many people enjoying with their loved ones without clothes feeling the freedom and the nature. Being naked at the beach feels so good and free! The wind and the water touching your body at every part gives the best feeling in the world.
Parking: Free parking.
Restrooms: there were portable toilets but those were not at good conditions.
Dustbins: it’s a carry with you beach, just carry your garbage with you and dump near the entrance/parking
Food: get your own food and drinks, no food cars or outlets at the beach or outside

Awesome beach, been here twice so far. First time there was really only two other people second time there was some families about 100 feet away. Like everyone says you get your space and it’s never crowded. Was super skeptical about the whole idea at first but my girlfriend talked me into it. really no better feeling than swimming in the water w no clothes. Super clean there too and unlike lake worth beach no weird looking fish or jellyfish in the water. I’d recommend this place to everyone can’t wait to go back.

Hi,... we have a mixed opinion; we went there without knowing the it was a clothing optional beach. Even so, we decided to stay. At first we were a little uncomfortable, but one remarkable thing was the respect of the people around us. Everybody was minding their own business and after a while we relax and enjoyed the water and the sun without taking out our clothes. As we said, mixed opinion.

Nice and relaxing beach. About the naturist thing I would say it’s mostly ‘pride’ public, 85% men and there was a straight couple next to us with a very unpleasant behavior, too much sexual manner which is totally unacceptable.
Just be cautious to find the proper place to lay down.
Be aware the waves and rip currents are not so friendly, just in case you are expecting a pool beach like Lido or AnnaMaria. Cheers!

Gorgeous, quiet beach with friendly people who give you your space. Bring a cooler since there's only portable toilets here. No lifeguards, free parking, worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for more naturist hangouts

The most beautiful place ever! There’s no better feeling than being naked in the ocean. Lots of couples, good beach for taking a long walk
The only reason i’m giving 4 stars is because the parking lot needs security!! My boyfriend and I have been here twice now, the 2nd time, which happened to be last night (7/31/22) we realized when we got back to his truck that someone had stolen his license plate, ripped the screws right out. We were there for almost the whole day entire and stayed until after sunset… really put a damper on the whole experience knowing there’s thief’s lurking around!! We’re nervous to come back and enjoy this gorgeous beach after this… cops should be patrolling this parking lot hourly!

Good relaxed atmosphere. I still wear earplugs though because some of the people who settle near the entrance usually talk trash. You can forget about trying to repel the flying midge insects with repellent. I have tried everyone and they still attacked and bit me by the hundreds. I recommend going when there is greater than 14 mph winds in the forecast. An insect killing fogger would be my best advise. Also having an enclosed tent to repel the midges. Their itch is much worse than mosquitoes

Alot busier than the other beaches on Hutchinson Island. Perhaps it's the clothing optional at this beach.
Al's Family Farms Citrus is a lively establishment that offers an array of freshly picked fruit and citrus products housed in a traditional barn. Ordering them by telephone was easy... the ladies I spoke with very nice and helpful. It didn't take long from order to delivery... they were packed great, just know that a bushel of oranges can be a little heavy. Nice touch on finding the note with hand written names of who packed my bushel.
I could not wait to taste them... oh they peeled easy... was very juicy and sweet with a couple of seeds. These Glory Orri's were just as advertised and I'm a happy camper. Thank you to everyone at Al's Family Farm. I will be ordering again very soon!

I have visited this place in buy oranges while i am going back from my vacation from Miami, the oranges are good but the way they treat customers is bad.
My kid is 3 years old and she was walking around in the store and I am carrying the oranges bag and standing in the line to buy , meanwhile I went went near to my daughter to make her stand in line , the person in the billing counter thinking that I am taking the oranges bag and run away and asked me that to come back which I feel it very bad and even we have explained the situation, they not even bothered about how they behaved with the customer.
Very strange experience
I want people to know that because they have not respected customers by having such an attitude towards a customer.

I went to the fruit stand, not the restaurant. I am handicapped and it’s very difficult for me to get out of my car. I wanted to pick up a bushel of fruit and the manager of the store came out to the car took my credit card and personally took my order, and had an attendant bring out the entire bushel, and placed it in the trunk of my car. I was extremely pleased with the excellent service and the consideration for handicapped clients.

I received my box of temple oranges today. 50 dollars for 12 pieces of fruit. Honestly, if I saw these at the grocery, I wouldn't even pick one up. One had mold on it. The first one I tried to get out of the box my finger went through it. I ate one and absolutely no flavor. If these are the best fruit they have, I would hate to see the rest. I had to wait because the crop was just being harvested. This fruit looks like it has been sitting around for a while. I get much better oranges at my HEB. I am so disappointed and will never order from here again.

Nice enough and we'll maintained its a nice place to visit depending upon your likes. For me the wine not so great although they have a full service bar any many adult beverages to offer at reasonable prices. On special event days as the one I attended, $16 was pricey for an Elvis impersonator who had a partner sing a lot of karaoke oldies. There was a BBQ themed food truck available and by 4pm on a Sunday everything was over.

I’m decorating my new house in beach cottage style so my friend says, “Let’s go shelling at Pepper Park Beach! It’s one of the top beaches to go shelling near Hutchinson Island! You can even find driftwood there and my neighbor says you can find whole conch shells there!”
We had a great time walking the beach, finding shells and driftwood and enjoying nature. You’ll never find the same shell twice. We found calico scallops, turkey wing shells, 3-inch cowry shells and more. No conch shells but we arrived around 2:30 pm after the post-Thanksgiving vacationers had scoured the beach. We decided to spend the night at my friends house and wake up early to go shelling next time.
It’s a great family beach. It really wasn’t crowded at all. Kids of all ages were enjoying the gentle waves. They had lifeguards on duty. The park facilities included bathrooms and showers.

Nice beach. Sometimes a little crowded but always clean. One out of four showers were working today when I went.

This is my absolute favorite beach! It's best to go there early on Friday - Sunday to ensure a parking spot and a nice spot on the beach. I like to get there around 9am. I've never had any problems at this beach. It has large restrooms, outside showers, and a playground.

We really liked this beach! There’s a park for kids, bathrooms, showers, a navy seal history museum next to it and a lifeguard.

Beautiful beach and clean. Has facilities and good parking

This beach is beautiful! The beach was clean and not overly crowded ( possibly due to COVID and it being February). The waves were huge and so amazing to watch and listen to! The bathrooms were clean ( although metal toilets were a bit odd). There is a fun looking playground to let your children enjoy to burn off some energy!! Definitely a must stop if I’m the area.

Great beach with nice views! Water is great when warm enough and perfect for a nice lazy day. Get early for a good spot. Excellent facilities. Florida beach best!

This is some spot, really enjoyed visiting here. The Riverside is good for fishing and is a peaceful meandering trail of piers around the mangrove trees (a lot are closed off but it’s spacious either way). The seal museum has awesome outdoor displays and I’m sure is worth viewing entirely. The beach is spacious and is a quaint stretch of shallow water, lots of waves. Find me on Instagram if you’ll follow for more/ join in for an adventure pal!

Great beach!!!! Not to crowded and the the beach shells were plentiful. There were bathroom and showers in the parking lot area that were clean, and it was next to the Navy Seal Museum.

Clean County Beach 🌴 with clean Restrooms n powerfull showers for bathing beach sand off. Also nice playground and picnic areas. Life guards stations in beach. Large parking lot at location and across the street from Fire Station. Close to public gas statation and convenient store.(Cumberland Farms). Jim Sniper Manns and the Guardian Angels patrol the area of Fort Pierce.
The Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit is an educational aquarium that showcases various ocean ecosystems and offers interactive options like touch tanks. Although it may not be as massive as other aquariums, it provides great value for money and is perfect for younger children who can learn a lot before getting restless. The exhibit also offers season passes and has different experiences with each visit, making it worth the investment for locals. While small in size, the exhibit is well-designed and informative.
Very small aquarium with a reasonable entry fee. It is more of a place for kids than if you wanted to really see the sealife in the area. Total time was around 10 minutes even at a leisurely pace. There is a small gift shop, but at the time all the computer systems were down so we could not purchase anything.

Small but well done. I took my nieces and nephew there(ages 6, 9, and 14) and we all had a great time. Dana went above and beyond to make our experience fun and answer all of our questions

If you're wanting a massive aquarium to go spend all day inside of, this isn't that kind of aquarium. BUT...it's a great value for the money, especially compared to most aquariums you could visit. It's great for taking smaller kids to, because there's plenty to see, plenty to learn, but by the time they start getting irritable- boom, it's over. Well worth the money. I would give it 5 stars on value, only dig on it is that it is small.

Just get a season pass it’s totally worth it, if you’re local. Every visit has been different for me each time, lots of learning. Great for kids K+, a good place to volunteer. Would like to see more family events.

This is a great little aquarium for the family. Tickets are very reasonable priced and although It's not incredibly large, you could easily spend a few hours checking out all the under sea life and learn something new.

Let me start by saying that we love Fort Pierce. We moved here a few years ago and enjoy living here. Although it is small, it's one of the oldest cities on the east coast of Florida with beautiful architecture. The downtown is clean, the people are nice and friendly. There are festivals and different community events going on all the time. There is a library right by the water and many nice restaurants. It's definitely worth visiting!

Downtown Fort Pierce is my SPOT! The restaurants are nice, and there are cool local businesses strewn throughout. Even with no money, you can go to the library, sit by the water, watch schools of fish swimming, or take a nice walk from Melody Pier to the Seaway Bridge.

Outstanding place to visit the only thing you need to be aware of is the amount of homeless people that have grown more in the last couple of years. They never bothered me so I kind of feel ok going there.

The atmosphere is amazing, great people, and awesome local businesses! Breweries, restaurants, much more. Being right on the beautiful Indian River is a huge bonus. Vibe check is on point. Great for all ages. The farmers market on Saturdays is fun, lots of local homemade and homegrown stuff to choose from, from cheeses, soaps, veggies, canned goods, and fruits to clothing, wood signs and much more. Absolutely love downtown Fort!

A very quaint downtown area with lots of cute shops and nice restaurants.. try Pickled Restaurant.. great food and a nice "industrial Sheik" atmosphere. Old Florida Coffee Co. is inside the Cobb Building, serves a great cup of "Joe". Check out the water views from the city park or Ft. Pierce Marina, both have amazing views. Crabby's is right on the water and their upper deck has gorgeous views. The food there is very good as well.. definitely takes a few trips to do it all! Saturdays, the Ft Pierce market is a must!!

We went to the Pirate Festival. No charge to get in but a $2 donation is appreciated. Per group. We had fun. The pirates did skits and singing. Had a cocktail at Billy Bones. We got some food. I got a Chicken finger bucket comes with fries and hubby got a hot dog. The fries were cold. The chicken fingers were good. Hotdog was good. Walked around, looking at merchandise the vendors have. There were alot of vendors. Bought some stuff. It was a good time.
Very small but VERY well done. Unfortunately booking a tour requires some planning as unavailable 5 days out. Maybe they need to add more tour times to make some more $$$

The Manatee Observation and Education Center is a coastal awareness nature center that offers informative exhibits on marine life. Additionally, there is a waterfront viewing platform where visitors can observe sea creatures in their natural habitat. Knowledgeable volunteers are available to provide additional information and answer questions. The gift shop offers a variety of souvenirs for visitors to choose from. Although the center was not fully open during one visit, it was still possible to spot at least one manatee in the river.
Knowledgeable volunteers. We got to see 3 manatees in the river. Also a very nice gift shop with a nice variety of gifts and souvenirs.

Honestly, this is pretty underwhelming and I don’t think there should be any sort of admission fee. The staff was all incredibly nice and informative, though.

While we didn't see any manatees the day we were there, it was still worth the time to learn about the manatees, sit upstairs on the observation area & stroll through the little flower garden

Visit this place is Absolutely a waist of time and money. First we did not feel welcome by the front desk staff. Then we were told no see of Manatee now. As an effort to make the visit worthy, we asked 3 questions trying to learn some facts about manatee. Disappointedly, the staff responded "I don't know" "maybe they can live 10 years", "possible one baby in life time but I don't really know". Would not recommend to visit this place.

What a pretty location. There's a little pier to walk out on to look for manatee. The museum is teeny and cute. But great for little kids. Just enough to see and do. No manatee spottings on our visit.

We visited the Manatee Observation and Education Center several times and it was a wonderful experience! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and they were happy to answer any questions we had. The center features a variety of educational materials, including informative displays and exhibits, which made learning about manatees much more enjoyable. The observation area is also a highlight of the experience; it would be nice to see manatees up close and in their natural habitat one day. Overall, I highly recommend the Manatee Observation and Education Center to anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational experience.

The St Lucie County Regional History Center is a museum that showcases exhibits on the history of the local area and Native Americans. Visitors can also take tours of a home from the early 1900s. The aquarium and historical society building are worth visiting, with educators who make it an enjoyable experience for all ages. A combo ticket is recommended for both places. This museum offers an educational and interesting trip to discover the rich history of the town.

This place was absolutely lovely! I love museums and especially enjoy learning about history; so this was a real joy for me! 10/10 I loved visiting here because I learned so much!
(Down below is a sort of lengthy description of my experience at this place)
-At first I thought it was going to a cutesy little building with some artifacts and information but then a very nice woman (Nancy I think was her name, I don't quite remember so forgive me!) Showed my sister and I out of this small cute house into another building, which by first glance, was FULL of things!
She gave us a quick introduction about the museum and about the indigenous people who lived on this land before us, and was completely unbiased about their history and showed us some more stuff (I don't want to spoil much since you definitely should experience it for yourself but there's a small room with an incredible model of a ship), and then let us be and left us to explore the museum.
Although it's a relatively small museum it had so much information and facts that by the end of it my head was bursting at the seems with what I had learned!
They've collected so many antique's and had interesting (honestly a little frightening) human mannequins/models that represented different people and the times they were living in.
This whole place felt like a strange time capsule of what was the entire history of Port St. Lucie, and it has a wide variety of collections too! It's like a little mix of everything in this museum, some artworks, antiques, stories and legends, and so much more I don't even think it's possible for me to list it all accurately!
Truthfully I seriously enjoyed my visit and I cannot stress enough how misleading that cute yellow building is. It's like a cute little yellow house, and then behind it is a behemoth of knowledge, or well, almost like a maze, except you're guided through arrows. (Perhaps the opposite of a corn maze? 🤔).
If you like learning and enjoy museums then you've gotta check this place out!

The vendors at this farmers market have the most creative things, I am always in awe at what people are able to make. There is also a great selection of food… Hot and ready to eat, as well as to take home. And the farmers market sits right on the water, the view is breathtaking.
The people are always super friendly and it’s a nice way to start your Saturday.
While people do sell fresh fruits and vegetables, this is not a green market… There are all sorts of different things out here!

The FP Farmers Market has been the meet up for a small group of folks working on dog obedience and socialization for about 4 years. There are multiple disabled vets with their service dogs in the group. Today was their last meeting because a member of the farmer's market board has decided that the group is no longer allowed to meet at the water front park because she didn't approve of them walking thru the market. Now the entire group, to include the service animals are forced to find a new meeting place to help train and socialize the animals. Ironically all the dogs seem to have better social skills than the member of the board who wanted them gone. A real shame.

I had an amazing experience here and I can’t wait to go back, I was invited to try the crepes from Ali the crepes guy from the crepes stand and lemme tell you the one I had I’m still craving it an entire week later, I’m going on vacation so I won’t be able to have it for another two weeks. But when I’m back I’ll be attending the next one.
I had the smoked salmon crepe, they added spinach, capers the recipe is usually cream cheese but I asked to substitute with mozzarella cheese, and I think that’s all, the capers added a balance of saltiness and the smoked flavor from the salmon and then the cheese was all complimented so well, and the crunchiness from the outside it was so heavenly I can’t wait to have another.
I also had the cider donuts, man I’ve been trying to have these donuts since the west palm beach green market these donuts were soo warmm and homey it was the perfect after snack or desert for my crepes, and the dipping sauce they come with had little pieces of apples and was just the perfect amount of seeetness almost to the edge of too sweet if you know what I mean, the donuts were soo soft and pillowy, I’m having them every single time I go to the market lol
I had a very berry smoothie at the smoothie stand it was good, I wanted to try a sample so I would know which one I’d really like I wanted to see if I should step out my comfort zone and try a new flavor without wasting my money, the little girl was about to tell me they don’t do samples and the man just over spoke her as if he wanted to be the one to tell me “they don’t do samples”, so I had to play it safe, maybe next time I’ll try another flavor. I paid $4 for the small cup.
I also had bought some bread, and pastries
The atmosphere was just beautiful it’s located right there on the water, and it was sunny out and cool 😎 and felt great to be outside on a Saturday morning. I loved the entire experience.

Once again, I brought an out of town visitor to enjoy this wonderful weekly event and was not disappointed. On this visit, I learned that Florida has olive groves as one of the vendors was selling olive oil made here. Who knew? Attending this farmers market is my favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings. Especially during season. In the summer, it's usually too hot, and there's not nearly as many vendors.

Beautiful venue in downtown FT. Pierce. Parking was easy and just a short distance from the theater. Staff was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to about the theater. The theater is very attractive. All volunteers and personnel are courteous and helpful. The seats are reasonably comfortable. We saw the Rhythm of Dance, a performance of beautiful music and amazingly athletic dancing. The one sour note was that masses of patrons arrived late and were seated well after the performance had begun. Repeatedly, our view was obstructed. Some patrons were seated a full half hour after the show had begun. At one point during this late-seating process, we had to stand up to allow a group to be seated in our row. The same group didn't even return after the intermission. Throughout the show, before and after the intermission, patrons were allowed to wander in and out. (I'm not talking about an emergency trip to the restroom, but individuals seeking to refill drinks or purchase bags of chips.) The repeated disruptions were enough to seriously mar our experience, and to turn what would have been a 5-star review into a 4-star review. I don't want to discourage anyone from experiencing the wonderful Sunrise Theater, but in the future, I'll think twice about purchasing pricey tickets to a performance that will likely be disrupted by a practice that most theaters I've attended don't allow.

Children (and the young at heart) will be enamored by the fairytale-like candy house, the mosaic bear chair, and the mosaic hopscotch. They are dog-friendly too!

Beautiful grounds, wonderful volunteers, reasonable prices - nothing but love for this stunning oasis amidst our modern concrete desert. This is the type of Florida-ing I live for.

It’s very charming. My toddler had a great time, just her and I. Kids playhouse, butterfly garden and what seemed to be an almost endless walking path of bonsai trees we had a really sweet time. Going back when anyone comes to visit, it’s a great few hours out before heading to lunch. Also loads of amazing local art with plenty spots for a mini photog… + Always nice to support my local community

Such a beautiful, peaceful place to go. Loved the flower and plant show!! The lights at Christmas are also amazing. Stunned at how gorgeous these gardens are every single time we go. Would highly recommend!

We were very happy to find this tucked away spot. We were greeted by Susan who was very friendly. The female cat led us through the whole gardens practically. Next time I'll start at the Japanese garden first. There bonsai collection is stunning.
Veterans free. We got off the path and meet two botanist trying to save the world's citrus blight, naturally. We learned so much about lady bugs/beetles and the different kinds which are a lot. My favorite is the mold eating black and white lady bug. My only request would be to relabel the plants. Many are sun bleached white and blank.
Download a leaf identifier app. Some cool plants here

We went to a botanical garden in Miami earlier this week, and that one was much better. However, this one was indeed lovely. The bonsai exhibit and the reflection garden are worth the visit. We also particularly enjoyed the butterfly garden. For young children or those inclined to whimsy, the enchanted forest is delightful. My wife also loved playing on the xylophone, and of course she wants you to know this, gentle reader.

The Heathcote Botanical Gardens is a must see if you are in the area and enjoy touring gardens. It takes about an 1-2 hours to get through depending on your pace and has one of the most impressive bonsai exhibits Ive ever seen. My wife and I had a relaxing picnic lunch in the reflection garden. The staff was very friendly and they had a nice gift shop. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Enjoyed my visit and especially the large Bonsai collection that they have . It’s not very large gardens and you would need no more than an hour to get a good leisurely walk around the whole place. The Japanese area needs some TLC but everything else was well taken care of .

Heathcote botanical gardens located in Ft Pierce FL has the largest public collection of tropical bonsai in the United States. If you are interested in bonsai you must visit, there were some from the 1970’s and 80’s.
The garden is small and laid out nicely with cleared paths and includes sections such as a children’s garden, herb garden and Japanese garden. Not a lot was in bloom when I was there.
I visited on a beautiful weekday afternoon in December and was able to see the entire garden in less than an hour. The garden was set up for their Garden of Lights exhibit ($10 adults, $3 under 12).

Beautiful display of Christmas lights. Admission is $10 and can be purchased in advanced. Cash or credit card is accepted. Staff is friendly but not too tech savvy. Lots of lights , food trucks and lots of other vendors. Parking is on the side of the gardens. Will definitely return next year to see the lights again.

We went to the light show, which was very pretty. The workers were trying their best to make the best of it when it decided to unexpectedly start pouring. Our kids found it hilarious to get to play in the rain. Everyone was very kind, even soaking wet. The lights were beautiful, though they were working very diligently, they were having some problems keeping them all on with the rain. I would recommend it, but check the weather. Lol

This is a smaller botanical gardens. We spent about 90 minutes. The bonsai garden is world class and is the main event. Children's garden also very nice. The main garden is not large but it's a nice way to spend a few hours. Some is shaded, but of course most of it is sunny. They're working on improving their labeling so you'll know what the plants are called.
Totally love this place!
Great selection of fresh beers and frozen key lime pie drinks.
Take home souvenirs the have a vast selection of tshirts and logo motif.

Great brewery located in a rural part of Ft Pierce. The atmosphere is inviting, plenty of space, and the food truck has the best food! There are selective nights for events, and they have plenty of options other than beer. They have their own distillery and create specialty drinks. Highly recommend.

My husband loves this company and we had to stop as we passed thru town. Its seems to be in the middle of nowhere but it was very crowded so definitely worth finding. So many free samples! Hard to choose as they were all so yummy. We bought a few shirts and frozen drink pouches to take with us. We will be back.

This is hands down the best local brewery on the Treasure Coast. The staff is super helpful, the brewery is clean, and the vibe is great. Anthony makes the best drinks in town (banana bread martini pictured), and will custom mix some of the best beers you’ve ever had! Ask for the Reel Peachy and Floridaze. Make sure to sit in Meghan’s section, she is very attentive and always has great recommendation. 10 out of 10, the best place is town. The trivia on Sundays is also fantastic, JD does a great job and we have been coming back every Sunday play. If you haven’t been, you need to go. Merry Christmas!

We are officially regulars! Megan and staff are absolutely amazing! We are treated like family every time, we have only been here a few times and they know our drinks already! The customer service is incredible! Every time we have family in town we bring them here! Megan is great with attention to detail and making us feeling welcomed! My 16 month old has even made friends, and feels comfortable enough to roam around and greet everybody. Such a fun place to be with family!

Then Megan came zooming by with her cart of chaos 🙃 gave us samples, and educated us on their vodkas, gins and rums 😋We shall definitely return! Awesome! 🤩

I recently booked an event at Islamorada for a wedding anniversary and they were amazing to work with. I unfortunately had to postpone the event due to covid reasons and they were more than understanding when I had to reschedule. Planning an event here is very easy, the food truck that caters is very flexible and the bartenders are a lot of fun. I would gladly do an event here anytime. Trapper, Megan, and Morgan made our event awesome and made sure our guests started hydrated. All around an awesome brewery to hang out with friends and make memories.

Savannas Recreation Area is a low-cost natural reserve that offers RV and tent campsites, as well as rental options for canoes, kayaks, and pavilions. Visitors should be cautious of alligators and snakes in the area. The campground has shower and laundry facilities available to guests, and there are trails for exploring with dogs on the premises. While it may be difficult to access with larger vehicles due to downtown obstacles, staying overnight only costs around $28.
I am so blown away by the beauty of this extraordinary recreation area, and cannot believe that I lived here for so many years and didn't even know it existed. The birds, the gators, the flora and fauna are simply sublime. Camping sites are great with full hookups, four commercial washing machines and dryers for convenience and talk about peaceful... Park rangers are knowledgeable and friendly and best of all, it's affordable. Would love to stay here again and again.

This place was a nice, cheap place to rest for the night on our way south. It is a little hard to get to this destination, I imagine it would be hard with a big rig to get through downtown to this location. Beware of alligators and snakes here. There were showers and laundry facilities available here. A huge area for dogs to play. There was also some trails around the campground to explore. It only cost us about 28$ to stay the night which is reasonable. The campsites are very close to each other so you are right next to all your neighbors which is unfortunate sometimes! But overall a nice place to stay.

Great place for setting up a tent! Its only a few miles off the river road, convenient for cyclists doing the coastal route. The park is full of birds and other creatures, who aren't shy about "asking" for food. Many thanks to the helpful lady at the check in desk who took my calls and got me set up.

Tried to get a campsite here. The lady in the office was not friendly at all. Wouldn’t let us rent a full hook up site she said we couldn’t with our van. Told us that we couldn’t sleep in our van at a tent site either. Told her that we have a tent she said that she didn’t have any available. They are 1st come 1st serve tent sites after 1pm we were there at 1pm. I have never felt so unwelcome at a campground before this encounter.

I’ve been going to Savannah’s for decades. If you drive all the way to the back, there is a nice sidewalk trail that’s about a mile or so long.
They have a camping area, dog park and recreation area.
Your certain to see all types of wild birds and almost always alligators.
This time I found iguanas!
Enjoy Florida and especially Saint Lucie county!

This is a really nice park. The rv sites have full hook ups and are quite roomy. Everything is kept up on and well maintained. The lady at the office is very pleasant and well informed. She got me squared away and headed to my site quite quickly. The evenings are very quiet and the park gate closes at I believe 7pm. I'm so happy to have found this little gem!! The price is right as well!!

Savanna's offer on-site camping and rv. Dog park, children play area, picnic area, canoe rental, and hiking trails. It's a quiet area where I was able to relax and hear some of the native birds. You're allowed to go fishing, but signs say please do not feed wildlife.

The Palm Island is a private group campground with bathrooms kitchen and a huge gazebo with over 12 picnic tables available for groups to rent. It's far away from the other campground so that you are free to be yourself and then have to worry about keeping it down or bothering others. We had a great time there for Martin Luther King weekend. You get to experience camping but you still have the conveniences of running water a few electric plugs and showers available about a 3/4 mile away walk at the regular campground. The view, the wildlife in the privacy makes it a very unique and wonderful place for groups to camp together.

Very nice place to camp. The main area is a bit crowded, but the marsh side and the forest side seemed to have way more mosquitos, so main area worked best. Very clean and a ton of places to walk and kayak. The dog park was large and sparsely used when we went, so our dogs had as good of a vacation as we did. The fire pit was small but had an attached cooking grate, so it actually worked out nicely. We bought wood from Home Depot as they didn’t have any for sale at the facility. The only downside is having no control over where they put you and no advanced knowledge of your spot, but the price was super reasonable and we can’t wait to go back.
Leon Ricci — Google review
Nice campground, lots of grassy areas, lots of wildlife(birds). Reasonable in price. Our only concern was the 1st campsite was close to wetlands so we moved sites because of the dogs in case of alligators even though we didn’t see any. Also it still had trash from previous person. It’s unfortunate that this beautiful park and campground has trash throughout the park. Seem park is short handed on having park cleaned on regular basis.

We stayed at Savanna’s Recreation Area for 4 nights in early October. It was quiet and peaceful. There was a lot of wildlife in the area—sand hill cranes, songbirds, gators, egrets, blue herons, etc. The checkin was easy. We had to change sites because of our size but that wasn’t a problem. Everyone was helpful and friendly. There was a large dog park and pickle ball court on the grounds. They had bike and kayak rental. We would go back again.

Pleasant locale but a total bust for tent camping. The campsite is a tiny field with nothing separating sites. . With the trains going by day and night since the park is near the tracks, don’t count on getting much sleep. Our tent actually shook from the freight trains. The sound was deafening.

The A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery is a notable venue that exhibits original paintings by Albert Ernest Backus and contemporary artists. It is regarded as the best small art museum on the Treasure Coast of Florida due to its friendly staff, excellent director, and impressive collection of Backus's true old Florida artwork. The museum also houses a sculpture garden and souvenir shop where visitors can purchase prints or other memorabilia. Notably, it contains the largest collection of works by A.E.
Small but clean and friendly staff. The paintings are arranged chronologically so it was investing to see the artist progression, and when we were there they had a special science fiction art exhibit that was very interesting.

A.E. Backus museum & gallery is a small, nostalgic art museum that displays the art of Fort Pierce native, A.E. Backus and the highwaymen. Backus was born in 1906 and is known for his realistic scenes of Florida. He is considered a pioneer of Florida landscape art, and inspired many other artist to emulate his work. Additionally, he played a significant role in teaching some of the artists that became known as the Florida highwaymen. The Florida Highwaymen were African-American artist who painted beautiful, unique and brightly colored untouched Florida landscape between the 1950s and 1980s.
The museum is located in Fort Pierce, right off A1A and near the Indian River inlet and other tourist sites. The museum is little but very well laid out and beautifully kept. It has a art shop and the admission fee is only $5.00. AAA, seniors and vets receive a discount of 2.00 dollars. The staff is very cordial and provide a detailed explanation of Backus and his history. A wonderful place to visit if you love oil and canvas art of scenic Florida.

We went on Sunday as it was the last day of the annual Highwaymen Weekend. The walls were loaded with privately owned paintings not typically seen. The Executive Director gave a wonderful presentation on their technique, business and relationship with Bean Backus. The movie in the gallery is a must as it adds contemporary interviews with artists who have passed away.
Bean's art is more complex and reflects his long career and travels throughout the Caribbean and somewhat reminiscent of Winslow Homer. His work is less of a "dreamscape" than the Highwaymen, perhaps due to his formal training.
The obligatory gift shop was short on books about the Highwaymen but long on knickknacks.
All in all, a worthwhile visit. Even if you are just heading to South Florida, you should make time for this delightful museum.

Original art by Beanie Backus and "The Highwaymen" the men he taught to paint. Whom sold their works, many in homemade wooden frames, up and down US Highway 1, thus receiving the name Hifhwaymen.
View what "The Treasure Coast's landscapes and sea acapes looked like to the artists. The musuem is quiet, clean, small enough to visit in an hour or large enough to enjoy art for a lifetime.
A MUST DO visit in St Lucie County.
Plus located directly on the Indian River next door to the Manatee Center ($2.00 entrance fee) and the the Chamber of Conference, there is plenty to see including the river and the boats.

It's a small but very lovely museum. It appears to be well run. The paintings are beautiful. The gift shop is very nice. I had never heard of Backus, but he was an accomplished artist and a great man. He's no longer among the living. I wish I could have met him while he was! We'll definitely be back to the Backus, and as a member, I look forward to attending events there.

Refreshing cider made right on site. It was delicious. Huge outdoor seating area under mango and oak trees with 2 stages. This was a pineapple field years ago. Well, overall the vibe of the place felt decent, but there was no live music or people (other than us) tonight, so we might have come at a wrong time. Also, there was no food truck, so we had to order food from elsewhere. The drinks were good, plus the bartenders were pretty good. Nice outdoor sitting place. They have a flight of all 10 ciders on tap which was lovely for me and my partner (who can consume gluten and loves beer but found some ciders he really liked thanks to the flight) all in all it was not only a lovely drinking experience but the atmosphere was great. 10/10 will go back if we ever sail back to the area. White City Park it’s just beautiful Florida. It’s been there for at least 50 years, my grandpa put in the boat ramp probably 35 years ago.
They have a pretty nice playground there now. When I was a kid it was a big metal slide that would burn your butt when you slid down.
Pretty much the layout is still the same. Oak trees, squirrels, gators, fishin’, (especially with cane poles) and lots of other nature. If you’re looking for a good place to just hang out, park walk or just relax. You’ll be satisfied.
