Located in Prescott, Watson Lake is a picturesque body of water with dark blue waters and impressive granite rock formations. There are many outdoor activities available for visitors to enjoy, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping.
This was a very beautiful lake. You cannot swim however due to high levels of mercury in the water. There is a nice hike that you can do around the lake, it can get quite rugged at times, and you will have to climb over a few boulders along the way, but it is a fun and challenging hike! The rock formations around the lake are spectacular, and make the lake quite unique. You can kayak in the lake and enjoy the view. The lake is held up by a dam on the north side of the lake. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend checking this place out. It is a nice place to get views, and a wonderful place for a quick hike. This place is great for everyone! And it only costs around $3 to get in when we went there!

Beautiful lake with a hiking trail. I am lucky to come here in winter so there is reflection of both ice and rock.

Great Lake and Park outside of Prescott, AZ. Great trails that run the perimeter of the lake. Great views on the trail. Peaceful no wake lake. Perfect spot to kayak. The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Hi y'all, Watson lake park is the best place to go to experience the lake from a kayak or conoes perspective. You can rent kayaks right on the shoreline there Absolutely awesome!
This particular review is regarding the scenic overlook parking area approximately a 1/2 mile north of Prescott lakes parkway on highway 89.
From this area you're able to walk to the kayak rental area and access the Peavine trail without having to pay the 3 dollar entrance fee.
But the main draw for me is the photo opportunities that are possible without ever having to leave your car.
But the conditions have to be just right. The following photos I took were on a rainy day in February.
It seems like the sun bouncing off the clouds on to the Dells lining Watson lake at sunset produces this affect.
If you're into that try to time your trip when it's more likely to be cloudy in the area...of if you want to save a few bucks; well there you go.

We recently visited Watson Lake on our way home and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The lake was beautiful, the rock formations were brilliant, and we had a great time paddle boarding. We will definitely be visiting again.
As soon as we arrived at Watson Lake, we were struck by its beauty. The lake was crystal clear and surrounded by stunning rock formations. It was the perfect spot for a day of paddle boarding.
We had a great time exploring the lake on our paddle boards. The water was calm and the scenery was breathtaking. The rock formations were particularly impressive, with towering cliffs and unique shapes. We enjoyed paddling around and taking in the views.
But the beauty of the lake and the rock formations wasn't the only highlight of our visit. We also appreciated the convenience of the facilities at Watson Lake. There was plenty of parking and the rental process was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great day on the water.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with Watson Lake and will definitely be returning for more paddling adventures in the future. If you're a fan of paddle boarding or just want to enjoy the beauty of nature, I highly recommend giving Watson Lake a try. It's sure to become one of your new favorites!

We had 25 of us kayaking and paddle boarding. The lake is a good size. There's a bunch of trees at one end and a couple of big random shade trees. Easy in & out from North or south end and a couple of ramadas around to stop for a break as well.

Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk.
So, Enjoy !!!

Absolutely stunning. Cannot swim in water due to high mercury I believe but enjoyed walking around and taking in the view. You can also see a decent amount of different birds.

A beautiful, short hike close to downtown! The rocks surrounding the lake are breath-taking. I started from the North shore, near the boat ramp and went clockwise. Instead of planning this ahead of time like I normally do, I decided to just wing it and go as far as I had time for and turned around whenever I needed to.
The hike is somewhat technical, there are parts where you have to climb up a little. I highly recommend wearing a good pair of grippy trail/hiking shoes to help you get better hold on the rocks. What's great about the trails here are they are marked with white dots, so as long as you're following the white dots, you won't stray off the trails and get yourself lost (even though you might veer off to a different trail).
In about a mile in or so, you'd come across a man-made little waterfall!
Entrance/parking is $3 for an all-day pass. Check the website for hours because hours vary depending on season.

Beautiful man made lake. The rock formations with the surrounding water makes for some beautiful views and photography. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, some nice fun trails. There’s also some picnic areas and nice clean bathrooms. I also saw they have a frisbee golf course. Only $2 to get into the park, which is a great deal. I’d highly recommend for fishing, hiking, kayaking (they have rentals onsite) picnics, family gatherings, etc. I also saw a kids playground. Great place to check out if you’re in Prescott!

The water I. The lake is filthy but the natural view of the lake is amazing. Never been to a lake surrounded by rocks. The recreational area is also very nice and comfortable. Such a good place to enjoy hiking in a beautiful day!

This lake and the surroundings are gorgeous, unique, and offer lots of activities. There are several hiking trails around and among the rocks. Just follow the white dots painted on the rocks along the trails. The view is spectacular. There are kayak rentals available, small sailboats, or you can bring your own. The entrance fee is $3 per car. There is a small playground for kids, benches all around the lake, and a grassy area to bring your blanket and have a picnic on. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Arizona. Don't miss it if you're in the Prescott area.

A favorite for the beautiful lake views and scenery with diverse hiking trails (that aren't just dirt paths) and even waterfalls!
Hike around the lake down to the other side of the dam took about an hour on the Watson Lake and Flume Trail.
Trail includes areas which require some minor climbing.
Large open green in park area provides perfect opportunity for field games.
There is also a playground and restrooms as well as gazebos and picnic tables scattered about park.
As others mentioned - entry is free on Wednesdays, otherwise $6/ vehicle.
Only negative comment is that the stench coming off the lake, while at water level and down wind, was not pleasant, but odor was no longer detectable once climbing.

Beautiful area with great scrambling trails. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky but we got caught in a thunderstorm at the dam. There is nowhere to take shelter so we got soaked but there were cool waterfalls that emerged from everywhere.
Lynx Lake is a popular recreational destination with fishing, bird watching, boating, and horseback riding being some of the most popular activities. The area also features several hiking and biking trails as well as a campground.
Lynx is my favorite lake in the prescott area. I love to go fishing a lot it's a great lake to catch rainbow trout garlic powerbait or inflated nightcrawlers. Small trout spinners work well too i like to use the JOE'S FLY. There is also brown trout, largemouth bass, catfish, carp, and bluegill. North side is my favorite side to start at but I've caught fish almost everywhere. South side is where they plant the fish.

Very nice and easy 2.5 mile loop around the lake. Saw a cool blue heron on our walk. There is a 20 foot section near the dam that you have to walk across the spillway to continue on the loop, so beware that it could be slippery if the water is flowing.

I did not expect to find such a beautiful place for hiking. The lake is artificial, but it looks very alpine. There is a hiking trail around it that takes an hour to circumnavigate. The scenery is gorgeous. You forget you are in Arizona 🥵

The Sharlot Hall Museum is a historic site in Prescott, Arizona that preserves the history and culture of the Central Highlands region. The museum has several buildings on its grounds that visitors can explore, including the Governor's Mansion from which Sharlot Hall originated. The collection also includes items from Fort Misery, the oldest surviving log cabin in Arizona.
One of the coolest museums i've been. This open air museum has the original governors mansion built in that location and was home to the governor of the territory of Arizona. It also has old farmhouses and so many other cool things. The gift shop is stocked with amazing things to help you remember your trip. It is located around several good restaurants. So much to see, I've been 3 times and I am already planning a trip back!

The Sharlot Hall Museum was so nice to visit! There was so many historical artifacts to see, ranging from natural history, Native American History, and Western history. We especially enjoyed walking through the Governor's Mansion and Fremont House. It was so fun to see what our everyday products used to look like in the 1800s. The docents were friendly and informative. Highly recommended stop while visiting Prescott!

As a historian, I visit a lot of museums. This is one of my favorites! It is so fascinating, and the volunteer tour guides are wonderful -- especially Allan Cooper. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Sharlot Hall and the Prescott area. I would be happy to have him teach me any topic he is interested in! I visited the museum on a whim because I was in Prescott visiting a friend and waiting for her to get done with work -- I live in Michigan, but I will absolutely be going back to the museum the next time I am in town!

We came from Phoenix for a Living History event and it was so worth the trip! Beautiful grounds with a Memorial Rose Garden honoring the towns influential women. Multiple pioneer buildings with Volunteers in character telling you about life during the era. We especially loved hearing a gentlemen explain to us in detail what it would have been like travelling on a horse drawn coach through the southwest. The printing press was super cool and they let my son print a newspaper page. Also the woman explaining medical practices of the day and showing different tools and their uses was very interesting and personable. We got there an hour after it started- so about 11 am, till the Event was over at 3. We should have come earlier because it was not long enough to see everything. Our kids were super interested in everything too. Absolutely will be back sooner than later!

Awesome museum! Absolutely beautiful! Took the wife and kids there on a Saturday. Cool and old style buildings, they have people in some of the buildings telling their history. The bathrooms are nice and well maintained. Also they have their own parking lot which is nice since they are located off a fairly busy street with parallel parking. Whiskey row is just down the street where you can get drinks and food.

What a great experience for kids and adults alike! If you’re a history buff this is for you! Both indoor and outdoor features with several of the buildings having A LOT to see and read. The staff really goes above and beyond to make this a fun visit for kids with a scavenger hunt, and small features in several buildings to get kids touching and feeling things. The open air and space of it helps it to feel much more aloof than just another standard Museum visit.

Wonderful place! You'll find in-depth exhibits, enthusiastic employees will give you history of the town and answer any questions, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. I easily spent 3 hours pouring over all the displays and buildings. The only thing I don't like is how they updated some of the buildings with constant audio, it's very distracting when you're trying to read the displays.
Heritage Park Zoo is a family-friendly zoo that features large and small animals alike. The zoo also has an excellent spider exhibit, making it a great choice for kids who love learning about creepy crawlies.
We had a wonderful experience at the zoo. We held our wedding there in Oct and it was outstanding! The staff we SO helpful and accommodating. We even ran late with the set up and that was no problem. It was so nice for our guests to be able to walk around the zoo and enjoy the animals. I would highly recommend the zoo for a wedding or any large function. Thank you so much Heritage park zoo.

This local zoo is so amazing. You can definitely tell the animals are well taken care of. It is from my understanding that most, if not all, of the animals have been rescued and are now in the care of the zoo. We were from out of town, I read "sanctuary/zoo" I assumed it would be better than a "zoo zoo" which was close/ off the lake lol which I never go to. It was basically a 36$ walk. Most of the animals weren't out. It wasn't an over cold nor was it an over hot day. It killed time, but wasnt enjoyable sadly.

This wonderful sanctuary is truly a special place that is committed to the care and well-being of animals in need.
The sanctuary is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting that immediately puts visitors at ease. From the moment I arrived, I could sense the love and care that goes into the daily operations of the sanctuary. The staff - all volunteers, are all incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the animals they care for.
One of the things that impressed me the most about the park is that there is a diverse group of animals living here, and each one is given the utmost attention and care. I especially enjoyed the mountain lion talk, in which a volunteer explained all there is to know about this elegant and adorable creature.
The animal habitats are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It was clear that the staff and volunteers go above and beyond to provide a comfortable and safe environment for the animals.
In addition to the excellent care provided to the animals, the sanctuary is also committed to promoting animal welfare and responsible animal ownership.
Overall, I recommend this place that is doing important work to care for animals in need. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a peaceful place to visit, this sanctuary is definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed this zoo because the size was perfect. They have animals that have been injured or kept as pets. I love this place so much that if I lived nearby I would be very happy to volunteer there. This is a wonderful sanctuary to visit. It's clearly obvious the animals are well cared for. It's a small sanctuary so you can walk around and see everything in a little over an hour but there's a lot to see and it's beautiful there. Lots of shade and it's just a peaceful place to be if you're looking to get away from the hot temps and congestion in the valley.

Smaller lake, but one of the most beautiful in AZ. I come from the PNW where lakes are surrounded by trees and grass, so I love that about this AZ lake. The lush green scenery makes this such a great spot to relax, kayak, and fish (for mental health, not because we actually catch anything). My dogs love it as well. Only downside is that it's off limits for swimming. Take a picnic, setup a spot for the day, enjoy nature.

Ice on north facing trail treacherous!
This was a beautiful lake, listed as 1.7 miles to walk the path around the 25-acre lake. Setting out for a “1 hour” walk around the perimeter of the lake became much more involved on the south and shady side. At nearly 6000 feet, the recent snow was melted and frozen on the trail making it dangerous, especially where there was any slope. The worst was when the slopes were dual— ice sloped off the trail and down embankment that ended 30+ lower into the ice crusted lake. Hiking the north facing side after any post snow freeze should be taken with extreme caution and literally— ice crampons. There was no “hazardous” warning and there should have been. We were lucky; we learned a huge lesson.

Great Trail with Beautiful views at different spots along the way. It’s good for walking, biking, your dog, etc. One thing you might want to know is that even though this is a mostly flat trail, there are a lot of rocks jutting out of the ground, so be careful, easy to trip. And if you are looking for more challenging hikes, there are several harder trails you can access off of this trail, so you could go down this trail and connect to one of the more challenging trails, climbing the boulders, etc. I didn't go to the end, not sure how far that is.... but would like to try another time. It's definitely worth your time, unless you are looking for a more challenging hike.
Thankful there's a bathroom at the entrance. Plenty of parking. Admission is FREE on Wednesdays and $3 all other days.

Loved the out and back hike on the first couple of miles of Peavine trail. Nice wide trail, relatively flat and beautiful scenery, especially once we got into the granite dells near Watson lake.
Courthouse Plaza is a picturesque and lively historic plaza in Prescott, Arizona. It's surrounded by historic buildings and is the heart of life in the town, hosting countless community events and celebrations throughout the year. The plaza is home to the Neoclassical-style courthouse named after it, as well as Whiskey Row, which features many boutiques, restaurants, galleries and shops. The square is also famous for its annual holiday lights display.
Love this charming, beautiful and historical old Courthouse in Prescott! This plaza is kept so nice and is a great daily gathering place for the township & tourist alike! So fun and relaxing to see people sitting and talking on park benches, mother's and children playing together, people walking their dogs and others going about their day to business. This is truly a place for all to enjoy! It’s a place of celebration too! I love that they really value history and honor the past! What I thought was going to be a short stroll around snapping a few photos turned into about an hour & a half! I had multiple conversations with the nicest people in the plaza. Can't wait for my next visit to Prescott!

Attended the annual Christmas lighting as we’ve done many years. I am a Prescott native and we know how to avoid the mess of the crowds. We came back later to walk around and take photos. We have kids. Need I say more? They had to go to the bathroom and all the porta potties were locked up tight. We found one open someone had broken the lock on. Here’s the deal, you bring the potties down there for a reason. Would be nice if you kept them open the entire evening and refilled soap and water to wash hands. My only issue with the courthouse lighting this year.

Always a great destination for a motorcycle ride! The road up is amazing, with tons of curves and spectacular views.

The building is very federal in design, but it's cool to see. The large pillars at door entrances are common with these styles of courthouse buildings. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the park that's adjacent does not match the grandeur of architecture. The small gazebo belongs on a children's playground not in a plaza that's a center piece to the historic district. The landscaping is minimal albeit to save water. However, with the amount of outdoor space available it should showcase desert plants and drought tolerant shrubs.

There is a restroom you can access from the exterior of the building and it was clean. Everyone likes to walk their dogs on the square and a lot of retailers put bowls of water out for them. Prescott is a very friendly clean town.

We live in Prescott, and one of the reasons we moved here is because of the charming downtown. The historic Courthouse Plaza has events year-round, including concerts, arts & crafts shows, parades, and various festivals. The Plaza is surrounded by shops, eateries, galleries, & bars. During the Christmas season, it's all lit up and is the center of a number of seasonal activities.

I don't know why it's asking questions about wait time and cost because the Courthouse Plaza is just a beautiful place to park and walk around. Now, in the summer, because of the warmer weather it's best to get there after the sun sets and the temperatures start to cool down a bit. It's a nice place to walk, maybe bring your dog and family to wander around the downtown area and soak in the beauty of Prescott "Preskitt". You can park around the Courthouse and walk to one of the delicious restaurants around the town center and then walk around the Courthouse Park before you head home. I highly recommend this place.

This is a great place to hang out, listen to live bands in the summer, and go to events. Love seeing all the dogs and some cats being walked. Love coming to Prescott and hanging out at the Courthouse Plaza. Today Sunday they had live music lots of jewelry stands, local honey, and arts and crafts selling. Food stands, including lemonade and shaved ice. Lots to see all around, between galleries, gift shops, bars, restaurants or just sitting in the grass in the shade.

Prescott Art Fair drew my wife and I to Prescott, Arizona for the first time. We are fans of art and artists. This event brought very talented artists to the Courthouse Plaza, an excellent setting for an art show. Photos taken of the art show, fountain, and Whiskey Row restaurant, The Palace Cafe, in and around the Courthouse Plaza at 120 S. Cortez St. attest to the way history is captured. The neoclassical architecture of the building, the centerpiece of the Courthouse Plaza is a significant draw for special events including the popular art show that attracted my wife and I to Prescott where we also spent time in the shops around the historic Courthouse Plaza and ate at The Palace Restaurant and Saloon on Whiskey Row. The annual Prescott Art Show draws thousands of people to Courthouse Plaza and is certainly a boon to the area’s economy. Art festivals and concerts are typical for the Courthouse Plaza and the staff rent portable toilets for the events.

Relaxing area with folks walking their dogs, sitting on the grass.
Plenty of shopping and places to grab a bite and a few very nice museums.
Constellation Trails Parking is a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of trail loops amidst the stunning Granite Dells. The trails cater to both mountain biking and hiking, with surfaces ranging from packed earth to slick rock. Located near State Route 89 and The Phippen Museum, it provides easy access for visitors. While there is a small parking fee, the opportunity to explore the unique rock formations and wildflowers makes it worthwhile.
It's a nice place to hike as long as you don't need shade. The trails are fairly easy as well.
The Museum of Indigenous Peoples is dedicated to showcasing the culture, history and heritage of Native Americans from throughout the Southwest and Mexico. It has a vast collection of artifacts, paintings, and archaeological findings, as well as an exhibition space that often features rotating exhibitions. The museum is located in Prescott at the square next to Citizens Cemetery and Ken Lindley Park.
Love this place. The employees are extra friendly and very knowledgeable. Got caught up in their explanations and stories that we spent nearly 2 hours there.

This museum is truly underrated. From the interesting historical architecture of the building to the creative rotating exhibits, there is always something engaging and interesting. For those that like learning about the unique culture of Indigenous People and appreciate the subtleties of smaller, carefully- curated exhibits, this is a great place to spend an afternoon. They also have amazing jewelry and other items for sale at extremely reasonable rates.

My family and I visited this museum 11/24/2021. From the moment we entered to the time we left, we were awed. We were honored and blessed to be given a spectacular impromptu history lesson and a tour by the museum director Manuel Lucero. He spent well over an hour with us and is a wealth of knowledge and very enthusiastic about the work of the museum, his and the entire Native American heritage. I learned more from Mr. Lucero than I did from any class I have taken. We were there 3 hours and can’t wait to visit again when we are next in town. It is a smaller museum but contains so much history, pictures, maps, artifacts, and reading that it seems like a much bigger place. Please pay a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

The Indigenous Museum website said that it was open on Monday May 30th, Memorial Day. But when I got there it was closed!
I walked across the street and watched the kids using the skate park. I enjoyed that very much but was disappointed that I didn't get to visit the indigenous Museum.
I was on a trip from Colorado and I probably won't be able to come back for a long time.

Ordered a T-shirt online in October 2023 to support the indigenous community. Didnt receive it so I contacted the museum director, Julie. She made multiple promises over the next 3 months to send the shirt I was charged for, but it was never sent. In late January 2024 I requested, then later demanded a refund. Again she promised a refund but it was never received. She now does not respond to my emails and phone messages concerning a refund. I had no choice but to file suit against her here in Pittsburgh, PA. If she would have just issued the refund back to my PayPal, all would be good. However, now that the lawsuit has been filed , she will now need to waste the museum's time and money to pay for a trip from Arizona to Pittsburgh to appear in court, not to mention having to pay for legal representation and legal fees. What a waste of the indigenous people's money. Its not hard to confirm why the indigenous community is in such a dire situation when they are duped into following financially and administratively irresponsible people like Julie and when Julie takes advantage of would be supporters like myself. Not very good for fundraising and people attempting to support the cause.

Wonderful little museum, that you can self-guide tour with a brochure, within 30 minutes if you really take your time. It has wonderful artifacts from several First Nations that inhabit Arizona. Highly recommend if you're in Prescott. Price is cheap at 10 bucks at most per adult. Staff is wonderful. There are plenty of Native made jewelry and artifacts you can buy.

This museum was very nice and quite informative. I learned several things during my visit. The tour is self guided as the museum is fairly small. I like the combination of the old and new indigenous items. The staff was very nice. I also like the self guided tour book I was given. It explained a lot about each exhibit. My favorite part was the outdoor garden with plants that were and are used by Indigenous peoples as medicines, dyes and making everyday items. I’ll definitely be back to visit.

We were going to visit a museum on Monday, July 25, 2022. My husband wanted to visit this museum and I would have picked a different one, but after a visit to the Chamber, we learned this was the only one open on that Monday. I'm so glad it was OPEN. I had my eyes opened in a big way to what horrors were done to the Indian people! Much worse than I'd ever realized. I have such an appreciation for who have lived in this land for centuries; they are brilliant, resourceful, brave, and really got the shaft. This museum is a must see. The preservation of artifacts, the information, the history, maps, etc. is so important. We could have spent way more time, but it was closing maybe 90 minutes after we arrived.

Awesome experience! So much to learn, and a humbling experience first hand of the beautiful spirit of Yavapai nation, in a serene environment. Ms. Andrews and staff are very kind and knowledgeable, well able to keep the kids interested (even teenagers!!!). Indian tea, which is available for tasting, was a real treat! It's absolutely a hidden treasure of the former Arizona territory capital. And if you can support them it will be a money well spent.

Spent the day mountain biking the near by trails. Started on the Britni trailhead on the south side of the lake. The loop on the west side of the lake is gravel and great for walking. Dog friendly as well. Boat ramp and covered picnic areas. At the time I came the lake was very low and it actually opened up other trails to ride/hike. Tails are marked really well. Probably the best signage I've ever seen at a park. At every intersection of a trail you had a sign with your location. It would be very difficult to get lost. The Dells were some really challenging biking. A lot of double blacks which resulted hike a biking some sections, especially up hill. Incredible some people can ride those sections. When there were ridable sections it was a blast. Really cool rock formations made it interesting. Even though the map doesn't show it, you can bike into the park north of the lake to access additional hiking/biking. Be prepared for a climb since the connector trail is steep. It was fun to ride back down though.

Pretty lake with huge rock formations on one shoreline. Walked a bit on the Mile Hi Trail by those rocks. Many ramadas with picnic tables...no fires at this time. Wednesday is Free Day, good surprise.
Great hiking trail.i highly recommend it as long as you are an average hiker, and even if you are not maybe just go to the pass and then return. After you park and pay the 5$ parking fee (cash only) and start down the trail the first fork(to the left) heads to the 40 trail but if you continue straight you will continue down the 261 trail, all the other offshoots are well marked. That out of the way it's a gorgeous hike but around 1/3rd into the hike there isn't a lot of forest cover, so bring sunscreen and reapply every hour. Also the parking location is not always open. I believe the park opens at around sunrise but at least in mid April you can't start at 6am, all minor caveats aside this is a hike you should definitely do, and I'll be back to mountain bike the trail though I'll probably skip the pass until I get better. Oh final note make sure you sign the registry when you get to it just in case so they know who goes in and out.

Great out and back journey, hike or runnable. 8-9 mile loop, depending on how far you want to go. Mile three from the parking lot is a lot of elevation gain, enjoy the vert! Recent monsoons have lead to plant overgrowth, and some trail degradation, watch your step and enjoy the views.

Don't play the fireworks slot machines. It was so disappointing and greedy. I love playing slots, I don't have to win, it's just fun when the game plays - give and take. This game in particular though, was just guzzling $20's without any payout even though the fireworks were all lit. We stayed the night here, as we rode a motorcycle to Jerome to eat & it was too late and too cold to drive all the way home. The room was $177 per night and ended up totaling $200. The bed was not comfortable sadly. We also ate breakfast in the cafe. This is where the 3 stars were gained. Even though it took about 20 minutes to get service, the food was satisfying and our waiter was so kind and pleasant. The eggs Benedict was cooked deliciously and our whole food order was served well.

This was my second time at Bucky's. The first was around 20 years ago and I remembered it as a small, dingy, and smelly local hangout. It is still small, but it's clean, smoke-free, and it has a lot more machines. The machines are very tight. I dropped a grand and it was very easy. A few machines ate 100.00 at a time with no return. My friend had to get an attendant for a 'jackpot' payout when she hit 300.00. That was hilarious. I frequent casinos in Phoenix where 300.00 is nothing. Hand payouts start at 1400.00. For 300.00, I'd have to get an attendant to follow me around. Bucky's likes to announce their 'big jackpot winners', so it was also funny to hear them bragging about my friends 300.00 win. When we arrived, starving, the restaurant had just closed for 90 minutes so we had to take a shuttle down to their other location to eat. The shuttle is handy and the driver is really nice. Oh, and there are no drink stations at all at either location. I was parched and all I found was a soda vending machine. They had enough of my money. So, they're cheap and the machines are tight. This should have been a two star review, but the cleanliness between my previous visit and this was a huge boost. I will definitely not be back.

Lots of fun. Glad to see security is tight. Very clean restrooms. One drawback is that staff, and cashiers are NOT that friendly to patrons. Other issue: Only one gal working all floors with the drinks, so one waits a very long time for deliveries. I'm glad the music is kept at a very low volume. But maybe it's was because we went on a senior day. Didn't win much $, but it was fun playing there.

I stayed at the Hotel with my Mom and 2 Aunts. The room was beautiful and relaxing with amazing views. The bathroom was really small for someone who uses a cane or a walker. There was no room to shut the door behind you. The next morning we got up really early and went to the lobby and asked where we could get some coffee and there wasn't any anywhere. The Casino and the lobby didn't open until 8am. We were so upset about that. We paid to much money for them to not have any coffee or anything to be open.

A beautiful and historic theater built in 1905. It has undergone careful renovations and kept its original beauty. You can literally feel the history the moment you enter. They offer a refreshment area, lovely restrooms, main floor seating, two opera sitting areas and balcony seating. The box office in front of the theater brings back memories for anyone he grew up in the 30',s, 40's and 50's. If there is an event or movie going on, you'll be greeted by people dressed in early 1900's☺️ When you visit Prescott, please take a tour of this rare gem only a block and a half from the historic Whiskey Row. It's easy to see with its Marquee and a majestic large Elk on the front area of the roof. It's worth the visit!👍👍👍👍👍😃

We saw a delightful Celtic group, they played traditional instruments, sang Celtic folk songs & a young couple of performers danced. Inside, the theatre maintains it's early 1900's decor & is quite beautiful. Staff dressed in time period clothing/ costumes, adding a feel of stepping back in time. There is wheelchair accessible seating & entrance is to the left of the building, Not clearly marked. Refreshments can be purchased in the lobby before the show & during intermission. Handicap parking & accessibility from street is not close by. Inside, there are several increasing small inclines to get to seating. Railing along the wall was helpful. I would give 5 stars, if handicap accessibility had been better.

The Elks Theater is a jewel of downtown Prescott. The actual theater is a great place to watch old movies. They play all kinds of movies, and have a great lineup every Christmas. The halls where they host smaller performances of jazz, folk, country and other music are also very nice places to enjoy the arts. They use these performances and gatherings as ways to support local arts and keep music alive in the Prescott/Quad City area. Check out their website and see if there's something you would want to go watch or listen to.

Absolutely wonderful! Saw Esteban with his band. Wonderful Mother's Day gift. The theater did seem a little stuffy "warmish" as the concert went on. In my opinion not awful but some folks were uncomfortable. Lots of humans sharing space, perhaps having the A/C on low say 68-70 just to circulate the air. Again just my opinion. I definitely enjoyed not being TO COLD like many theaters or restaurants seem to be. One ladies restroom was not great. The line was to the to the front door UGH. Don't even know how many stalls were in the bathroom. I didn't get in during the 20 min. Intermission. Seemed quite troublesome for some of the ladies. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and they all seemed joyful to be there. Concession prices were okay, I would have preferred having my hard seltzer in a cup with ice I felt silly drinking out of the can (I'm sure I could have asked for one. We have been to concerts in the Crystal ballroom and the Main hall both are lovely and have great sounds. We live downtown so we walk to all of the events. Our evening at the Elks theater was super fabulous. Looking forward to our next visit.

I used the Theater to host my wedding. We had about 90 guests including the vendors and everyone fit comfortably in the ceremony room and the dining hall. Everything was very clean, the tables and chairs were provided, kitchen is large with plenty of room for our caterer to work in. We worked mostly with Trevor who was always available when we needed him. He went far above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even gave us referrals for vendors we might need. The lighting was perfect and we were able to adjust as we wanted. I had such a great experience working with the Elks Theater, I will most likely be using this venue again for other events in the future. I would recommend this venue anyone!

Had a great time at the Janis Joplin and friends tribute concert. Wonderful intimate venue for listening to music. I am sure plays and movies would be enjoyable also.
Beautiful historical restoration.

I loved this place. It feels old in a good way - full of history. It's like I was transported to the early 1900s or late 1800s when this place must have been built. It's nothing like the modern day theaters of South Florida where I'm from. It's authentic and small and quaint and cozy and I really enjoyed it!

A most excellent place to see any show. Inside takes you back 100 years. Truly historical.

Saw this during a visit to Prescottt after Labor Day. Thought it would be a great musical to take my Mother-in-law too as well as sister-in-law, and of course my wife. Great experience!!! We all loved it. The Vendor that sold drinks and snacks didn't gauge with pricing, very appreciated.
This art gallery is filled with amazing pieces by some of the best artists in the world. The eye of the owner is as impressive as all the work, and they always pick some great pieces to display. However, it can be a bit expensive to visit often, but it's definitely worth a trip every now and then!
This is my favorite gallery to visit when I'm in Prescott. They always have gorgeous, inspiring art and a little something for everyone. I try to stop in every time I'm in town.

It would be nice if they posted their hours on the door. If they are there, I can't find them. I have come by after work several times to buy Christmas gifts but they are always closed. You think they would want to be open longer for the holidays, especially nowadays. Oh, well. Time to look somewhere else.

Delightful gallery filled with beautiful and practical art. The lady who assisted us and I'm sorry I didn't get her name was friendly and informative.

We love this gallery! We bought some unique jewelry and art as gifts here. We don't buy something every time we go in...but we never fail to go in when we're "on the square."

A blessing for not only Prescott, but Arizona. Fantastic artists, diverse pieces, strong representation. This is my secret "go to". Peggy, Cody, all staff- top notch. Thankful for these types of true art locals.

Definitely worth a visit. The various artist creations here are pretty unique. I ended buying a very unique pearl necklace for my daughter.
One slight drawback is some pieces are priced somewhat high in my opinion.

This is a downright amazing art store that I need to visit way more often. Just as impressive as all the artists' work is the eye of the owners. They pick some amazing work to display!
I haven't been here often enough to learn about all the popular artists and styles, but I fully intend to. There's just the slight problem of spending money every time I'm here...

A jewel amidst a string of saloons and bars abutting the quaint and lovely public square in Prescott. The co-owner was most knowledgeable, congenial and enthusiastic , pleasant and willing to please. The items were stunning, reasonably priced and most appealing for those seeking a refreshing addition to their homes. We have been here more than once and each time, left with some most pleasing art objects. Highly recommmend a visit when in Prescott.

Beautiful artwork. Wonderfully displayed! Can't wait to get back to Prescott to purchase more pieces of of their unique artwork. There's something for everyone in all price ranges. Had so much fun browsing in that art gallery.

This is a lovely little art gallery with an excellent selection. They do a good job of having a variety of work in a variety of media. The diversity reflects the area and many of the artists are local. Their prices are reasonable for excellent art.
If you're looking for some of the best cocktails in Arizona, look no further than Thumb Butte Distillery. This distillery is made up of some of the most talented bartenders in the state, and they are able to create drinks that are completely unique and inspired. Not only are their drinks delicious, but the staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
This was such a fun experience and tour. The owners were so nice and their passion for what they do is contagious. We enjoyed some wonderful cocktails while waiting for our tour to begin and we all enjoyed our tasting. I came home with the cowboy vodka and lemon vodka!

Thumb Butte Distillery makes THE BEST cocktails in town, and probably all of Arizona. My fiancee and our whole family love coming here for drinks and to take bottles home. They use their own distilled liquors to make completely unique, uplifted, inspired drinks that are absolutely delicious and refined. And the staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and love to talk about liquor! If you are looking for the best drink in town, and the best liquor to take home, look no further!! I only wish they would open a tasting room closer to courthouse square!

We really enjoyed the tour and tasting. There is a mixed drink menu available and they allow visitors to bring their own food. The owners work hard to produce quality product. Live band on Friday night was fun too.

Made an appointment for 3 pm for a tour of the distillery. Drove all the way from Phoenix and booked a hotel to stay in after. We arrived at 230 for a tour and the whole place was empty. Waited 30 minutes till 3. We called multiple numbers multiple times, even emailing the person we had contact with. Never received any response.
I even had a local bar owner try to contact them from a pub.
Horrible experience and waste of time.

Tour is definitely worth it. it comes with a flight of vodka, gin and whiskey. It's very educational and the atmosphere is great. The owners are amazing and the family dog, Blue is an awesome bonus. They also have amazing cheese, meat and veggie boards.

Just a whole lot of fun to be had. Enjoyed seeing and hearing about the process of making their amazing tasting, award winning spirits. This is a “must do” if you are in Prescott!

Fantastic drinks. These men are phenomenal at capturing the western spirit of cocktail crafting. Although only open on weekends, it gives me something to look forward to during the week. Live music EVERY Friday night. Can't praise them enough.

They make a good bourbon and have some really clean cocktails plus live music on Friday nights. If you’re going to be in Prescott put this place on your agenda.

We really wanted to sample there whiskey on our trip to Prescott but no one was around. Google and website said they were open, went to the front door and it was locked. No signage saying there hours or that they would be closed. Tried calling several times and call was disconnected after a few rings. Very disappointed as this was one of our highlights to do on our trip.
If you do want to visit you will want to call verify if they are even open, if they don’t answer assume they are closed and don’t waste your time.
