Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

The best place in Cobb County to go for a date, meal, shopping, etc. a safe and exciting place to walk around and experience fun factor that gives without ceasing. Eclectic and interesting cultural experiences await you. Many weekends throughout the year they offer farmers market and craft guilds. Truly a place to be anytime of the year day or night. 🇺🇸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏾🐺

It's literally a small square with a tiny park in the middle surrounded with restaurants and shops. The murals around it are nice (see pictures). There's free 2-hour parking by the park which is nice.

The square has so much so offer! There are so many great restaurants to explore. My kids love to make wishes in the fountain and play on the train in the park.

Tomorrow's morning will be the annual MS walk. They have a 1 mile trail and 3 mile trail. Dogs are welcomed, and the city police take care of blocking the path for everyone to enjoy the walk at your own pace. They have stands along the path with water also. It I great event for a great cause....

I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasn't good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. I’ve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that I've dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. It's very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

Beautiful, friendly place to hang out with lots of families, restaurants, and shops. A wonderful large fountain in the middle that is very scenic and well maintained. The whole square is wheel chair friendly.

The summer concert series and arts festivals are really enjoyable. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area to enjoy when there aren’t large gatherings on the square. Traffic can be really hectic on event days and I recommend early arrival or ride share services.

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Located in the center of downtown Marietta, Marietta Square is a really fun and cute place that is centered with a pretty water fountain and a nice little park called "Glover Park." The vibes are great, and it's a great spot to bring kids or sit down and enjoy yourself!
There are a bunch of really cool shops directly next to the square. Some places I visited:
Rocket Fizz - super cool candy store with some exotic candy that I haven't tried before!
Tsunami - Latin American & Asian fusion cuisine, very yummy!
There was also some dragon store that I can't quite remember the name of, but the people working there were really kind and had a great sense of humor. Overall, very very cool place!

Loved the art festival they had over Labor Day weekend at Marietta Square. The quality of the artisans were better than I expected. There was very good quality and creative art throughout from many of the vendors.

We visited on Saturday during Chalktoberfest. Do wish parking could be a little easier around the square, but it is to be expected during events. Really enjoyed the music and the art. Not sure why this year they didn't have as many food vendors out. But overall it was really nice day out.
Trails are marked well. There are mixed trails (biking, hiking) and just hiking trails. My sister and I walked fairly easy trail. It was beautiful

The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre is a non-profit organization that has restored an art deco theater originally built in 1935. The venue offers a range of activities, including classic film screenings, live music performances, and tours of the building. The staff is friendly and the venue is well-maintained with a nostalgic vibe. Additionally, the theatre features an organ accompaniment which adds to its charm.
Don't buy your tickets online, there is a $3.50 fee for each ticket. You can purchase tickets at the box office without the fee.
I saw back to the future here. Before the movie they do an organ show and read the list of their sponsors. The theatre was only half full so I wouldn't worry about buying tickets in advance.

Update on 4/10:
My wife and I went to The Strands showing of the silent film “Ben Hur” (1925). It was the best production of this film that I’ve seen yet. I strongly encourage anyone that’s never seen a silent film at The Strand to do so. I also highly recommend you date your wife regularly! These dates that we go on are so precious.
Previous Review:
This place is a well kept secret. Doing my best to see to it that it is no longer! My wife and I discovered silent films here about five years ago. The last we saw was ‘Sparrows’. It was incredible. Today, we saw ‘Sunrise’ from 1927.

It was amazing. This is our favorite date night. We always go to dinner at The House of Lu. And, finish with our silent film. If you haven’t been to The Strand for anything they do, especially a silent film. Okay, I’m a little biased, go! First thought, eat at the House of Lu. My wife loves getting Cashew Chicken. I always get Pho soup.

This venue or theatre is cozy, spacious, and elegant. The venue was very clean. Popcorn, refreshments, and adult beverages available. The Jukebox & Motown show was spectacular, and each song you could see and feel the young performers was super prepared and put their souls and hearts into the Great Soul songs of the past! The show was exciting and so enjoyable! The young performers nailed it! I shook my head and patted my feet all through the show! It was really captivating!

It's a beautiful venue, with great people and fun shows. The amazing organ was a great performance that was unexpected. My only disappointment was no playbill. There was a QR code shown on the curtain to scan but due to the folds in the curtain it wouldn't scan. It would be great if they would put the QR code on a sign in the lobby to scan.

Went to see the Christmas program. The organ player at the beginning was very talented and they did a sing along to Christmas songs before the play. It was a family friendly musical. They had concessions. Everyone was very nice and they had staff showing you were your seats were. It was sold out the Saturday we went.

The Gone with the Wind Museum at Brumby Hall is a small yet impressive museum showcasing a vast collection of memorabilia related to the famous novel and movie by Margaret Mitchell. Visitors can admire rare prints, costumes, autographs, books, and photographs that shed light on the history and behind-the-scenes of the film's making. The gift shop is well-stocked with merchandise, while outside gardens offer a pleasing view.
I'm a 62 year old female and I loved the small museum.😁.
A must see. Bring your reading glasses and a charged phone for pictures of the beautiful gowns 💕.
The parking area is a bit confusing. You park in the hotel parking lot area, then walk over to the museum. Not a long walk. Go!

Don't miss this! The house itself was delightful. It's only four rooms but one of the rooms has floor-to-ceiling Windows there's magnificent molding and wainscoting and furniture and it's just delightful but I learned so much about the movie gone with the wind and the author Margaret Mitchell. I loved it and I'm so glad I didn't miss it. And then I walked around and the gardens are beautiful.

I LOVED seeing and touching the replica dresses!!! the rest of the museum and gift shop were great. Loved all of it and it should be 5 stars but
1 star off because they have the green and blue dress and they are NOT displayed because they "need mannequins" they were just closed for a couple months this should have been thought about.
2. The staff anything I asked I was redirected to go to the Marietta History museum because it was really cool, but they never even told me why also come on at least TRY!! Also they were all just chatting like .....

Small gift shop. Cheap admission. Definitely worth the visit!

Absolutely loved this place. It's not huge by any means but plenty to look at and the garden areas are very nice to walk through and admire thee hard work that goes into keeping it looking good. How they open the upstairs up with more attractions. Can't beat it for the price. So if you're in the area stop on in and give it a look. You ain't be disappointed.

So there was no clear signage telling you where to park so I pulled in the driveway and parked next to the building but was told I needed to move even though there was literally almost no one there {one couple other than me at the time). There are placards throughout the museum that were created by the collector for the museum but clearly their English skills are lacking because there are many mistakes on the placards throughout the museum that really need to be corrected so it doesn't look like an uneducated child wrote them. Someone really needs to do a better job of placement and lighting for the displays throughout the museum (there was even a very nice painting just sitting in the floor of the hallway coming in the building). Overall the museum is rather boring not enough to make it worth a special trip for certain. As disappointing as the visit was overall it's clear to see why they have very little traffic that comes through the museum at all. Unless you are already in town and have nothing better to do, do not go out of your way to visit this place or you will be disappointed.

Price is right. A lot of stuff I would skip over. Back room with replica dresses was the best. There is an actual dress of Scarlet's sister. If you are in the area checknit out but I wouldn't make a special trip there. I should disclose that I'm not a die hard fan.

People may call it too small but it was perfect for us. We spent about 30 minutes inside. Scarlett's gorgeous dresses, movie premiere programs signed by the actors, original telegrams and letters and also a room dedicated to the novel author herself. Beautiful gardens as well! They also have a nice gift shop and the ladies are very helpful.

The Six Flags White Water water park is spread across 40 acres and offers a wide range of attractions for young kids, including slides and a fantasy tree house. Although the park can get crowded at times with long wait times for rides, visitors can purchase a platinum fast pass to reduce their wait time. Some of the rides may be closed due to maintenance issues but those that are open provide ample entertainment.
We went to the World of illumination. It was absolutely fantastic. The lights were so beautiful and went so well to the music that they played. We did not wait too long when we were going through the line to enter and we literally went two days before they were ending the light show. We also got the four pack 3-D glasses Which some of the kids enjoyed but some of them didn’t like them they just wanted to watch them without the 3-D glasses. Definitely doing this again next year.

Went on opening day May 8.2021...and I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED....50 percent of the rides are closed...it looks like corona virus hit the park....food suck....had an overall better experience at sixflags. Same rides as when i was a teenager...smh...
Update got season passes this year 2022 thinking it would be better. As soon as you walk In park 4 rides closed and that's just walking in some been closed for seasons. Then I came to park today 5/8 and park was closing at 5pm when it clearly states it would closed at 7pm on site. Operational manager need to do a better overall job. This will be my last year coming here and purchasing a season pass. Disappointed!

We absolutely love this place!!! I recommend buying the flash pass!! The 1st day without flash pass we only ride 6 rides the next day with flash pass we ride a 100 times!! Just be careful because peons get abbey when you ride 4 times while they have been in line an hour but hey you got to pay to play 😁😉 we enjoyed the tornado the most and the python plunge!! I will warn you hours have changed they close at 6 during week which I want told when I bought flash pass at 3 so that upset me but this park is awesome with great employees not rude at all!! A few rides are closed and the lazy river because they don't have enough employees 🙄 😒 come on kiddos go to work!!

I took the kids today and they had a blast. Our 1st time. Plenty to do for young kids! We went on a Wednesday, it wasn't extremely packed but the lines were really long. We just decided to buy the platinum fast pass. So we were able to get on all the slides with a 5 or 10 minute wait. Fast pass definitely worth it for the few slides that were open. One of the slides conveyor belt did break while we were in line so we didn't get a chance to ride it. They did have a lot of slides closed but the slides we did get on were sooo fun. With the fast pass we were able to get on a second time. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully next time we come they have all the slides open.

5 stars for value, I mean seriously where else can you have fun for $60/person for whole season.
4 stars for the number of attractions available during our visits, many of them are not available due to insufficient life guards they said.
3 stars for maintenance, pools aren't too clean. Leaves and debris. Some deferred maintenance can be seen like cracked pavement, dull and chipped paints and more. Far from say water parks in Florida which are well maintained.
We had a great time though.

It’s worth the price. Lots to do for all ages. Renting a cabana was 100% worth every penny!!! It was great to have a guaranteed place to come back to to relax, cool off, and know that our valuables were safe. We kept the 2 sides zipped and opened the front and back- with the ceiling fan on, it gave nice air flow and kept us cool. The cabana has a table and 4 chairs in the shade, plus 2 lounge chairs in the sun, but they can me moved where you need them while in the cabana.
The wave pool and kiddie area pool have a lot of chlorine (for obvious reasons) and it irritated my face- a quick rinse with plain water from the bathroom sink really helped. A little disappointed that only a few of the slides were open. (Maybe that was because it was so late in the season?) still had fun, though and stayed the entire time they were open! There is something for everyone of all ages. They have a splash pad type area for they very young, and a bigger splash area with a 2’ deep pool for toddlers/preschoolers/ and an area behind that that looked like it would attract elementary school aged kids, and some more exciting slides for older kids and adults. They had some solo slides, and family rides. We would go again!
Amy Herdliska — Google review
We had season passes. We didn't use them more than a few times. Probably half the rides and 2/3 of the restaurants were closed the last time we went, so I don't think we will go again.
Kirsten Thompson — Google review
I wish we could leave a little different review for each item. Half of the attractions were down and I'm sure it's a mixture of maintenance and staffing issues.
Slides going into the children's play pools were closed for maintenance by the looks of it. All the pumps running just to try and keep them clean. The lazy river was closed forcing everyone into the wave pool. Limited staff I'm sure to keep the expenses down and increase profit. The rides that were open were well staffed and went pretty smoothly, one slide that people enjoyed would allow people unable to swim to ride it.
Please if you go to a water park and plan to ride the rides at a bare minimum know how to swim.
Everyone has a good time. Park needs some work but I'm sure in this day in time this could not be built and turn a profit.
Chairs are used by people to stow belongings rather than sit in them. Family's of 10 would take 10 chairs for nothing more than drying their towels.
First time ever going and I'm sure we will be back in the hopes more rides are open and repaired.

Great park to visit and spend some time with the kids or a date... Definitely splurge for the fast pass if it's in your budget... With few rides wait times can be long...

We have been visiting World of Illumination lightshows from past few years and its always a fun place to visit with family and friends.
My daughter loves the music synced lights and their music selections.
I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance as this year, we saw them kicking people out since they didn't have tickets and all slots were sold out. Sometimes you'll find tickets in local Costco for a bit cheaper.
Also, I'd recommend you visit this early in Nov, Dec or after Christmas. avoid last few days before Christmas if you don't wann wait in lines for hours.

We had so much fun here!! They have a great selection of slides and attractions, you could easily spend the whole day there. The water was super clean and not too heavy on chemicals. Parking was great as well, and walking in and exiting the parking lot was a breeze.
The one thing that was disappointing is the lack of cleanliness. It looks like the lockers have literally never, ever been cleaned. I didn't feel comfortable touching them at all. You can also expect the food to be expensive. If that matters, definitely bring your own as well as a refillable water bottle.
Overall it's worth the trip and worth coming back!
Allimarie Wallace — Google review
Could give it 4 stars but few rides were closed and feel like area needs more cleanliness.
Went on Saturday and queue was 40-50 minutes for most of the good slides such as TORNADO, DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
You can get chips, pizza, beer, fries inside but no doubt price is on a higher side which is definitely a big drawback.
Overall the full area plus restrooms/changing rooms should be more clean :(. Request to management to take care on this.
Very different rides with easy, medium and difficult levels.
Some are very easy and some really beats your heart high such as DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
Got general ticket online on 50% discount with 34$ each on which tax and processing fee got added so total was more.
Also parking is extra $25.
We got one season pass too which was $50 plus processing fee and tax.
Lockers are there which is again on a higher price and it is $22 each locker.

Avoid this water park its a waste of money. Most of the rides are closed, especially the lazy river and all the rides that flow into it, it hasn't been open for over 3 years and their website says nothing about it. That's totally misleading! I understand they probably don't have enough life guards but they have like 6 employees working the parking lot just standing there. I would have all of them trained and make parking free until things were normal. Most parents that come to white water go for the relaxation of the lazy river.

We went on a Sunday and the lines were not long early in the morning which saved us money instead of buying the fast pass. However the long lines started towards the late afternoon. Everything was super fun. The last river was closed which was a bummer. I didn’t like some of those rides required you to take your own water tube up the stairs. I would hope the upgrade all the rides to a mechanical conveyer belt to bring those tubes up to the top.

Park layout is terrible. Especially if you have little kids. We missed some attractions bc they were so spaced out. Bathrooms are not clean. The changing room isn't near the lockers!!! BEES BEES BEES Everywhere! 5 trashcans close to where people are sitting, and the BEES were all over the expensive food and drinks (with no lid or straw). Lazy River is surrounded by trees, so quite a bit of leaves and debris. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded, but I've heard it can get crazy. Couldn't go past 5 ft in wave pool! Very expensive if you pay at the gate
Marietta History Center is a must-visit destination for those interested in local history. The building houses four distinct galleries that showcase the area's rich past, from everyday life to military events. Visitors will appreciate the well-preserved exhibitions and knowledgeable staff who are happy to provide information about each display. The museum has an excellent selection of historical artifacts presented in a thoughtful and engaging layout. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this museum is worth adding to your itinerary.
I really enjoyed this little gem! The Vietnam Black Soldiers Portrait Project was... I don't have the words, but the photographer did an amazing job.
I didn't realize that Georgia had so much gold in the past. All of Marietta's history seemed pretty interesting and the displays really helped bring it to life. There is a really huge and impressive gun collection in here. I spent about an hour here and definitely could have stayed a little longer. I like that the displays got to the point pretty quickly, there wasn't a ton of reading to do.
Also free for military with ID! Otherwise, $10 well spent.

I held an event here, a surprise party for my moms 50th birthday, and it was a smashing success. We rented the knot garden for a sound system, tables and chairs, and a general conversation area. The indoor room was used for food, drinks, cake, and gifts. About 35 people were in attendance and the size of the garden was quite nice. We could have fit more people as well, but it didn’t look empty with around 30 throughout. The gardens were kept beautifully, though there was one pot with some ugly dead flower in it that has to be drug and hid behind a bush. But they cleaned and turned on the fountain before our event. Accessibility to the gardens from the parking lot was great to uphold the surprise element. The only problem we ran into was with the facility currently not being opened to the public due to being in between collections of memorabilia. Because of this, their regular weekday hours were adjusted and they were unavailable by phone several of the times I called. We had to adjust party rental delivery as well, because they were not going to be present the day they wanted to deliver our tables, chairs, and linens. But during normal hours of operation, I’m sure this wouldn’t have been an issue.

There's always something new to discover at this market which has become a regular favorite among locals. Lovely interior dining hall with a wide variety of food options for all tastes. Very spacious inside but also has exterior seating on the wrap around porch. I highly recommend Taza for delicious Lebanese food! We got the red pepper hummus, pita, and tabouli. We also got kombucha, German pastries, and shrimp and grits. Everything was excellent! Go check it out Saturday mornings.

Nice market with plenty of vendors and the food hall is right across the street.

We visited on a Sunday in June so the market may be much smaller than the Saturday one. But loved the vendors who were there, and bought peaches, beautiful bee pollen from Kennesaw, cold pressed juice, blueberry sage lemonade squeezed to order, local artisan crafted Frik & Frak cognac pasta sauce, multigrain bread, lemon thyme goat cheese, and need to go back for curry lentil quinoa soup! Also loved Church Street Market around the corner with lovely kitchen finds as well as sauces, preserves and She Crab & other soup mixes!

Great local options, wish it was bigger although I like that I don't feel like I'm fighting thru people.

Fantastic!!! I’m calling it the boujiest food court ever🤣 Walking into the market gave me very nostalgic feelings of going to hangout in the food court with friends like when I was high school. The food choices are amazing. Unlike mall food courts they have Everything from Lobster Rolls to Hamburger meals. They have Indian food, bbq, PhO, Tacos and even a bar. This is the perfect place to grab a quick service bite, a drink and have girl talk.
Although there is no cost to enter and go through the museum, you can make a donation. I've taken my grandson here three times and it's so interesting. The firemen here are so hard-working and friendly and happy to answer questions. A real plus to living in Marietta!

A fire museum located in Marietta GA. I really enjoyed all of the engines and fire fighting tech that is displayed from 1850s to modern time.
The all chrome antique fire engine may be may favorite next to the retired control room. I would recommend this for anyone that is appreciates fire houses or the tech behind it.
And the museum is free but does take donations!

Lots of cool exhibits to look at and a full history of the Marrietta fire department with pictures.
You have to read through the history wall upstairs to learn about Aurora.
The hours posted on their website are incorrect. Google listed hours are correct.
You can also get a parking garage validation, but I walked from Marietta square.

A beautiful collection of historic fire department apparatus...all actually used and maintained by the city of Marietta Fire department. This includes a magnificent Silsby Steamer-
In 1879 the City of Marietta purchased a Silsby Steam-powered pumper. It was the 655th steamer manufactured by the Silsby Manufacturing Company in Seneca Falls, NY. It's a 500-gallon pumper and can flow approximately two tons of water per minute. It served the city until 1921 when it was replaced by the 1921 American LaFrance pumper.

My toddler is fascinated by fire trucks, so I figured this would be a fun outing. Such an interesting museum - antique fire trucks, displays about Marietta's notable fires and the history of the fire department. And the firemen were so friendly and willing to answer our questions. Definitely worth the trip!

Great for grandkids and grandparents!! Took my toddler with his PopPop and they both loved it!! Right now it's decorated for Christmas!! It's just the right amount of information for all ages. Very clean with natural light! Completely free with parking validation. Kind fireman gave my toddler some fun knickknacks. Great addition to a family day out!

Great free way to entertain a toddler on a frigid rainy day! We got about an hour entertainment from our visit with our 1.75 yr old.
Wayfinding is a bit difficult. Park in the parking deck behind the firehouse and it's free. Go up the stairs on the side of the building and through the door on your right. Then it's down the hallway on the right.
Bathrooms are on the bottom floor, go to your left as you exit the museum and they're the second hallway on the left.

Excellent Fire House Museum. The museum details the history of Marietta Fire Department from 1800's to today. Plan on spending couple of hours there. The museum has two floors of fire trucks.
Downstairs is a display case filled with scale models of fire trucks.

Think I've answered this before, I found the cemetery to be peaceful and enormous, a surprise indeed. Its well looked after and has many many markers for its military people who gave there lives in many wars, and military excursions..its worth a visit, I didn't thinknit would be but I was wrong, very wrong.. go take a look it will not harm you, in fact the opposite it might stir and move you ....

Proud to see they honored all who lay here by putting the U.S. flag in front of each headstone, known & unknown. Last year Covid won, this year our service members won. Thanks to those who put out the 18,700 plus flags. It was a beautiful place to remember my mom & dad on Memorial Day!

This is a beautiful space, but sadly it is not available to most of the community in which it is embedded.
You are prevented from running on the paved paths or walking your dog through the cemetery. In two years of living in Marietta, I have rarely seen anyone on the grounds. You can look from afar, but the restrictions make it impossible to visit.
Because our tax dollars support this space, I would hope that the folks in charge could consider a compromise to the rules. If cars can loudly drive on the paved paths, then I think runners, walkers, and dogs should be welcome as well.
It is sad to see such a beautiful space go to waste.

The cemetery is laid out in such a way that makes it easy to find any grave. It is very well maintained all year round.
Some of the Civil War heroes are also laid to rest here. The "Unknown Soldiers" have their place as well.
I am so proud to say my father is here.
I am grateful to all those who fought and gave their all for future generations, and to be able to visit their resting place and say a thank you is just spine chilling.
I hope any and all who are interested will visit.

Cobb Antique Mall is a vast space that showcases vintage and antique decor, home accessories, collectibles, and jewelry. The mall boasts of numerous sellers' booths offering a diverse range of collectible items for sale. There's a dedicated comic shop called Syndicate Comics within the store catering to comic collectors. The staff is friendly and helpful in assisting customers with their purchases.

I love going antique shopping. This antique mall is huge. Found a lot of cool things. But as soon as we walked in we got stares. We aren’t white. I will say that my fiancée does carry so he takes a little bag with him at all times. However, if they did have a problem with bags in the store then we would have left it in the car. That doesn’t give you a right to follow us around. We felt uncomfortable and it ruined the experience for us. Next time if you want to follow people around try not to make it so obvious.

Interesting place they have so much on the ways of older and "retro" items. It ranges from toys to furniture to videogames , records and even old appliances. Honestly I would need a whole afternoon to explore. It's a shame I don't live in Georgia. Some of that furniture would be really nice to have in my house. Overall it's a fun place to wander around for the nostalgia.

One of the places we like to go to when we head to Atlanta. I am usually looking for colonial/primitive pieces for our home. There is one vendor that I go to first to see what he has. I was so saddened to hear that he had passed and his booths were liquidating. I did purchase several things before they were gone.
Always fun to look through the store to see what I can find.

Alot of cool things. I've been in the resale biz for over 20 years and the only thing I would say is the need to adjust prices. One item was $350 when you can buy online for $40. Better pricing means more turn over so we dont see the same items never selling.

Amazing and historic cultural venue hidden away in the center of Marietta. They walked where we walk and fought in this deeply divided country, both sides leaving wounds that may never heal. So many lessons about our American heritage, culture, values and identity with the promise of compassion, understanding and love between all our sisters and brothers.

Nice place to visit and view some burial plots from the 1800’s. Historical markers around the cemetery tell of notable people and events that took place. Confederate soldiers were buried there and there it is one of the largest slave burial plots mixed in with non slaves.

This is an amazing cemetery full of Confederate soldiers.
Established in 1863, this was originally the resting place for 20 Confederate soldiers killed in a train wreck north of Marietta. It is the resting place to over 3,000 soldiers from all 13 Confederate states plus Maryland, Missouri, and Kentucky. There’s also a area where slaves are buried but sadly there’s no headstones for them.
There’s an actual 6 pound canon that was using the Civil War here as well. This is a wonderful historical cemetery that should be seen and visited by all. Highly recommend.

I always have an exceptional experience at Glover Park, and it's all thanks to the amazing team led by GM Will, his team of dedicated employees are always welcoming with their bright smiles and energy. Specifically Charlie, Jacob and Keith‘s passion for their work is always evident in the way they are engaged with their charismatic personalities and dashing appearances, providing recommendations that perfectly match our preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff's knowledge of their craft was truly impressive. Will's leadership shone through in every aspect, from the carefully curated beer selection to the impeccable customer service. We hosted our wedding at Glover Park Brewery in March and absolutely loved the venue! It was affordable and truly a unique space. The chandeliers and brick and iron provided so much interest that we really didn’t need to spend too much on florals or other décor to make the space beautiful. Our wedding day was magical and looked just as we imagined. I truly do love this space, and I am giving it 5 stars because our day was so beautiful. Unfortunately, I did have a negative experience with the main event coordinator. She was very knowledgeable and made sure everything was in its place for our wedding day so I am grateful to her for that. However, she was openly rude to my family and my day-of coordinator during both our pre-wedding meeting and on the day of our wedding. She made me and my family feel very uncomfortable during our meeting for asking questions that I believed were very reasonable concerns. I’m honestly sad to write this, because this venue is gorgeous, and I believe this company is run by very good people, but I feel like my interactions with the event coordinator soured the experience for us. I would still recommend this venue to others as we had a beautiful wedding day.

Not your average brewery! GPB is a wonderful venue for any type of special event. The brewery is downstairs and the BEAUTIFUL private event space is upstairs. I am a wedding and event planner/coordinator and have worked here MANY times. The event team, Madeline and Katy do a superb job and either are onsite for the entire event. They are hands on, professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with.
The space itself, is warm and inviting with their elegant chandeliers. I personally love the farm tables and cross-back chairs, which are included in the rental. The large curtains are a huge plus when needing to separate the space or do a flip after the ceremony.
Serving alcohol at your event is especially easy with their selection of beer, wine and mixed cocktails. After the reception, many of my couples have continued celebrating by easily going downstairs to the brewery.

Great little theatre in downtown Marietta owned and staffed by locals with a passional for performing arts. It's not expensive and they put on wonderful shows. Great place for a date night. They sell reasonably priced concessions, beer, and wine. The theatre is very intimate, so if you want to spread out, find 3 friends and splurge on the VIP tables (it's a pittance more than regular tickets). Buy your tickets early because they do tend to sell out, especially on the weekend shows.
If you want to do a date night, they offer special dinner and show tickets that include a meal at a nice Italian place on the square that has nice smells coming from it when I walk past (though I've not been there yet).

A quaint and intimate theater, much smaller than where the proper Lyric Theatre group performs. The volunteers, staff, and actors are all very nice and the facilities were adequate, given what we paid. When looking for the Studio, don’t blink- we walked right by the entrance before we realized we were there.
I won’t include discussion of the production; this review is more about the facility than the show we saw.

This was our 2nd year doing the Valentine show.
I am so intrigued by how plays at first appear awkward and unsettling to me. But as the show progressed and you become attached to the story and the actors.
Your emotions evolve into the story line and as you become enveloped by the characters journey. You start to make a connection with them and also share in the emotional state of the story.
I learn so much about how I feel on certain issues and it allows me to engage in them from an outside perspective.
Plays should become more apart of the foundation of our society so we can allow ourselves to explore our very comes and vast emotional state. In a safe and almost always enjoyable setting. No matter the weight of the topic.
So grateful for the efforts of special people in our community that place do much effort into creating this wonderful experience for all of Marietta to enjoy.
Please give them a chance. Let go of your expectations and just embrace the curiosity of your own emotional condition.
Last night we learned about love on a day we should all learn to experience how we should treat each other and ourselves.
Thanks Jeff and rest of the crew.

I really enjoyed the Cranberry Tart, but honestly, I would highly suggest trying your own set and seeing what stands out to you. The atmosphere inside is wonderful! There are cool paintings on the walls, relaxing lighting and even some easter eggs in the art, lol. Oh, by the way, if food is a concern, there seems to be a food tent that stops by outside. I didn't get a chance to see the menu as we were leaving when I noticed it had set up, but I plan to try it out next time. I will be sure to be back and bring friends for sure. Had a flight (which at 9 bucks was a steal) and it was so good i ordered a bottle of my favorite to go. I'll definitely be back here soon, I cannot stress enough how pleasant this place is.

The flight was a fantastic price and a great way to taste what Viking Alchemist has going on. This is a small local meadery full of friendly staff and fun customers. We went on Thursday where they had Jackbox Games with drink tokens for the winner. Casual. Would recommend the Bliss Mead, Tropical Heat, and Transmutation!
Jennie T Anderson Theatre is a modest 606-seat performing arts center that forms part of the civic center complex. It presents various shows, and it is accessible to people with disabilities. The theater boasts great acoustics and lighting, as well as comfortable grey upholstered seating. The stage has seen amazing talent from Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theater in performances such as ballets like "The Nutcracker" and plays like "Peter Pan.
Outstanding auditorium or theatre! Clean and well-structured Center. Hats off to Cobb County Board of Recreation. The MLK Holiday Memorial service was meaningful and fantastic! I admire Marietta NAACP organization for organizing this event. The speakers were spot-on, and Fred Blankenship really handled the MC role with top grace & tact! I look forward to participating next year with enthusiasm!

Was such an improvement from attending an event at the Fox. Great seating for anyone in the theater. The Nutcracker production amd orchestra was outstanding and professional. Will always prefer this facility to other venues in Atlanta

My first time here. Nice venue. Affordable and roomy. I'm bigger and did not feel squished! The GA ballet performance of Peter Pan was awesome!!

ADA Friendly!!
Attended “The Nutcracker” ballet performed by 125 Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre dancers. Stunning costuming, fabulous dancers, lovely little theatre. Plan on seeing “Peter Pan” here next.
I sat in the front row seat 5. There are 45 across this row. It felt intimate and reciprocal making eye contact and smiling at the dancers from my seat. Will definitely sit here again. Grey upholstered seating is nice and comfortable not too close. Acoustics & lighting are not lacking in this theatre. Love the wide well-lit stairway with beautiful handrails. Everyone was friendly and smiling. Felt right at home.

We were conned to see "New brain "... e deceiving title to to a less than mediocre play . A shallow story line revolving around a couple of gay men exchanging effusion on stage. Paid perfectly good money to go see two men kissing on stage at every chance they got. Nothing about this on the publicly posted story line... Purposely deceiving to get unsuspecting paying spectators , many of which just walked out.
SHAME ON YOU
Not a play I would recommend

Plenty of parking. HavIng handicap parking on the end of the row is good but the entrance is a good distance away from the last row. Having those spots in front instead of the side of the building and closer to the entrance would be a hugh improvement.

The Jenny T. Anderson Theatre was clean, charming, quaint, comfy, and homey feeling. Kinda like watching a show in your fancy living room. I will definitely be back, especially to see any Georgia Ballet production! Their school is producing present and future stars!

I have seen many performances here and I have to say they never fail to provide that great entertainment value. The location and size of the venue is perfect and there is not a single bad seat in the house. No traffic , plenty of parking and a great location adds to what makes it great. As an added note, I just saw Oliver and it was such a fantastic performance from an amazing cast.

The Aviation History & Technology Center is an open-air museum that showcases historical military and civilian aircraft. It offers group tours led by experienced aviation volunteers who have a wealth of knowledge in various areas of aviation. The museum allows visitors to explore the planes, including going inside one cargo plane and sitting in the cockpit seats if able to walk up stairs. It's a hidden gem worth visiting for anyone interested in aviation history.
We went here Saturday to burn some time. The whole family enjoyed our experience. From the time you pull up the staff are excited to share all they can with you. Most of the staff are veterans with great stories to tell and very knowledgeable about the aircraft. I like that it's not to large of a walking as I am handicap and tend to have a hard time moving around. We really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it!

Definitely a smaller air museum I’ve been to by far, however the size shouldn’t draw you away. This is by far one of the better museums I’ve to. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable! You’re able to go into two of the planes and even enter the flight deck on the 141! If you’re looking to spend a few hours definitely come here!

This is an outdoor museum, there is no indoor part. Lockheed C-141, AC-130, F-14 Tomcat and some other smaller aircrafts on display, you can do a tour of the C-141 inside. There is a $5 entrance "donation".
Balazs Kiss — Google review
My fiancee and I had an absolutely fantastic time here! Stan gave us a guided tour of the C141 and we did self-guided tours of the rest. Stan was engaging and funny. His tour was the highlight of the trip! The self-guided tours were also fun, informative, and low-key. We could have stayed there for hours.

Wonderful place! I visited yesterday, after living in the area my whole life and not knowing this was here. It's tucked away on the Lockheed plant base. It's an open air museum, aka outdoors. There are currently 15 planes to view, each with a placard with information. The tours are self-guided unless you book as a group. There is one plane you can tour, the largest of the collection, and there is a guide on that plane to offer a lot of information as you make your way thru the cargo hold and into the cockpit. I learned a lot about not only the planes, but also the museum.
For everyone who gave bad reviews, I specifically made a cash donation on behalf of you and read your ridiculous reviews to the staff as I did. They enjoyed the laugh. Yes it's old planes - It's a museum. No they don't control the weather in an outdoor museum. Sure you can say it's an odd collection, as all the planes have been donated. Not exactly sure why someone would give a bad review stating the reason is because they aren't a fan of aviation - it's an aviation museum. For those leaving bad reviews due to the $5 admission donation, this is a volunteer organization with donated planes. They must pay for upkeep, restoration, and transportation to get the planes to the base. Not all can be flown, so they must pay for other transportation. They are currently working towards adding a museum indoor facility on site, so your admission fee goes toward that also. I definitely received more than $5 of information and thrill exploring these great aircraft and honoring those who flew them. I am appreciative of the veterans and volunteers who were on site yesterday to help me learn more. I will return and bring friends with me. This is a wonderful local treasure to share.

Great place to visit on Sunday, particularly if your kids like airplanes as much as ours do! It is a small lot for a museum like this, so don’t expect this to be Georgias version of the National Aviation Museum in DC, but for what it is, it’s definitely an interesting place to spend a Sunday with the family!

We had an awesome time here looking at the military planes. They had ~15 planes and other related things to look at. Everyone was super welcoming and knowledgeable about the planes and their history and we even got to explore inside one of them. My dad and I had a great time walking around and talking to the people here. Definitely worth a visit.

A fantastic place, so friendly and helpful! We spent almost two hours here, with a tour guide on hand (or not if you don’t want). They were great with our children and answered hundreds of questions from them. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend this for an adventure trip!

This outdoor museum is wonderful. I took my 86 year-old dad there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Those that volunteer at this museum have years of experience in aviation and have experience in a variety of areas in aviation. They kindly took us around in a golf cart and showed us the planes, giving us insightful details about the planes. On 1 cargo plane you can go inside. My dad can walk up a few stairs but if you are unable to walk, you can still see inside the cargo area of the plane. If you can walk up the stairs, you can see and sit in the cockpit seats. This place is a hidden gem and I hope to take my dad again.
East Cobb Park is a publicly accessible green space that provides various amenities for visitors. These include areas for children to play, paths for walking, spots for picnicking, fields for recreational activities and scenic overlooks of a nearby creek. The park offers something for everyone to enjoy outdoor activities in a natural environment.
When I think of an actual park, not a hiking trail/trailhead, but a park to just exist outside for awhile, this is the closest I’ve found around the east Cobb / Roswell area. Sometimes ya want the healing aspect and slower pace and need peace - not necessarily exercise go go go like our society already demands. However there is a small nature trail and it’s lovely.
This park fits the bill for chill time and leisurely meandering. Spacious. Perfect picnic energy. It has plenty of green open grass space, two large parking lots, multiple playgrounds, restrooms, grills, ample picnic tables - some with cover, broad gravel walking path that loops around the perimeter of the entire park with benches sprinkled every 40 ft or so.
I’ve been searching for a spot like this for a minute, to read or write or journal or just sit with myself. I drive by it all the time and never just stopped to check it out, and i am grateful that I did. 4pm on a Tuesday and all I hear is the wind blowing through the fire orange leaves and the occasional sound of footsteps walking by as I sit on a bench by the path. I’ve seen it super busy on the weekends, rightfully so. However, I avoid large crowds and peak times anywhere, so 4pm on Tuesday is *chefs kiss* YUP. 10 outta 10 recommend. Pure peace here, what we could all use a little more of 💛♾️

Park is great. Lots to do, plenty of nice people. While there I saw local musicians, cheerleaders practicing, moms and dads playing with their kids. Plenty of people having picnics. I went there to run my rc and I must say I had an absolute blast.

Just relocated here from the mid west (St. Louis, Missouri) and was looking for a really nice dog friendly park with lots of walking trails. This has the potential to be a good park. There is ample parking, lots of walking trails, lots of shady areas, covered picnic tables and benches, adequate number of restrooms, several enclosed play areas for children, and it is dog friendly. In fact, there were lots of families there on Easter Sunday barbecuing, cooking, walking the trails, and enjoying the park amenities. Unfortunately, it appears that Cobb County Parks and Recreation does not place a lot of emphasis on maintenance of this park. All of the park benches were dusty and dirty. The women's restroom was absolutely filthy with toilet paper thrown all over the place. In addition, it did not appear that there was any concern for cleaning up/removing the unsightly weeds along the trails or the leaves in the garden beds. I was really very disappointed because it really does have the potential to be a very nice park. Hopefully, as the spring/summer progresses, Cobb county will devote a little more time and effort into cleaning and maintaining it..

Added some pix I took today....Hope you enjoy them...
A very nice place to walk, jog, stroll, and spend leisure time with family, friends, and pets. Very friendly people. There are always some activities. Has a small creek running thru this which adds beauty to the nice tree line and flower bushes it has. Lots of metal benches (donated by various good hearted people) to sit and relax throughout the park. Very dog friendly. Free parking. Free entrance. Clean rest rooms on premises. The park staff who keep it clean and functional deserve lots of appreciation. A MUST PLACE TO GO.

The park is small, but it feels decent. I can see many people come out to play lightly for running or family outings, and I think it's a good place for a little healing in everyday life. Next time, I will visit here again. I need to feel the feeling

The park is beautiful. Well kept, and equipped with everything that you will need. Benches for sitting. Restrooms that were fully stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, and fans. There’s a lot of diversity as far as the people are concerned. Everyone was friendly, and I saw some of the cutest dogs.
