Mount Rubidoux Park offers a range of trails suitable for dog running, hiking and scenic views. The focal point of the park is a giant white cross located at the summit. There are trails available for all levels of fitness, with plenty of rest stops along the way for beginners. Visitors are encouraged to start early and bring water, as shade is scarce on the trails. Sun protection is also recommended due to sweeping views over Riverside and beyond.
Mount Rubidoux Park has a great beginner level hike for all to enjoy. We parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and climbed the hill to the start of the trail. The trail is paved, and great for kids. A stroller could also be used, though pushing it up the hill is some spots could be a workout. The weather was cool when we went, but I imagine it would be hot in the summertime, and there is very little shade. The hike didn’t take us very long, maybe an hour and a half to two hours tops, and that’s with little kids, and taking it very easy. There are good views of the surrounding landscape, as the trail wraps around all sides. This activity was a great choice to get the kids out of the house for a short time, and not too intense. There were quite a few people there, some choosing to run the hill as a workout, which would be a good one if you lived nearby. Again, good option that doesn’t require a big-time commitment or a lot of physical ability. Get in a workout, or just get some fresh air, either way it was fun for me and the family.

Mount Rubidoux Park is a great place to go for a hike with the family.
The trail is paved and easy to follow, and it's only about two miles long, so it's perfect for kids.
The views from the top are amazing. You can see the entire city of Riverside, as well as the airport and the mountains in the distance.
There is also a peace tower at the top of the hill that you can climb up for even more amazing views.
We went to this park on last Saturday morning. My 4 years old boy had no problem keeping up and he even enjoyed it.

Great hiking with trails for all levels of fitness. Plenty of places to rest along the beginner trails as well. Pet friendly 🐶 Be sure to start early and bring water. These trails have great views of Riverside and beyond, but the shade is in short supply. So, be sure to wear sun protection as well 👍🌞☀

This place is so beautiful, clean well maintained, safe, lot of parking space. Fresh air, the actual hike isn't that bad 2 to 3 mile upwards, better not carry anything heavy just a bottle of water is good, takes about 2 hours depending on your level of fitness also your company, kid friendly good trail track, stroller friendly, bicycle friendly, all in all good hike for family outing and also with friends or just solo by yourself. Safest and easiest good cardio workout trail. We gona go more often here. Definately recommend.

This is a beautiful trail walk. It offers a shorter, steeper path and a longer, milder incline. Both are paved and easy-going. I went up the shorter route and came down the longer one so I could go around the entire mountain. It was my first time here, so I plugged the destination into maps. It took me to the wrong location the first time, then to the trailhead the second time, around which there is zero parking. Parking is at Ryan Bonaminio Park, which is approximately 1/4 mile walk from the trailhead.

This is a great family friendly park in urban Southern California. The trail head begins in Riverside. The views are fantastic. You will find families and people walking dogs on the trail. It’s a great fitness destination with the climb up to the top. The trails are all gradual slopes. Once you’ve been here, you’ll want to come again with your family and friends.

Great trails for all levels (beginners-advanced) that include dirt paths, not limited to pavement. Parked near the Ryan Bonaminio Park and started walking towards the trail entrance from there, just followed the crowd of people walking up towards the mountain, wouldn't miss it.

California Citrus State Historic Park is a beautiful and informative 300 acre park located about 62 miles from Palm Springs. The park is dedicated to preserving the history of California's citrus boom in the 20th century, and boasts well-marked trees and historical signs. Visitors can learn about different types of citrus fruit trees and how they grow by exploring the park's trails, museum, and tours. The property also has a fruit stand where visitors can purchase freshly harvested citrus fruits.
Stopped by during a road trip. Beautiful spot and great views. Well marked trees and historical signs.
Note: visitors center only seems to be open F-Sun but park is open daily.
Make sure to stop by fruit stand off of the main road for citrus harvested on the property!

Nice place to visit. Good historical background. Small but nice shop area. They give tours. Check their website because it depends on the time of year. They said the best time for tours is late fall. Samantha gave a very nice explanation of the fruit that is grown in the area with samples to take home, depending upon availability.

Really cool park with a variety of citrus trees and lots of avocado trees to view (no picking nor eating). There were some samples in the visitors center. Nice space to hike around with beautiful view of the hills and orchards.

300 acres of citrus, including some exotic varieties. Easy walking trails with signs indicating varieties and some history of citrus growing in California. It should be noted that the small park museum is only open on weekends, Friday to Sunday. Also, picking of fruit is prohibited, but some is allowed when the museum is open. Everything is very family friendly.

Definitely worth stopping. We took some time and walked around the museum and frolicked through the fields. There are gazebos, picnic tables, and benches to take in a lovely view of the numerous citrus trees and surrounding mountains. I would come here on a 1st date, walk the trail, or read a good book.

Better late than Navel. Had a great visit during weekend.
The park’s museum exhibits and interpretive features share the story of the citrus industry's role in the history when "Citrus was King" in California,
Be sure to hike the short and sweet citrus groves. Enjoy the greenery and scents of different orange trees. Great place to walk around with school age children and adults.
Park docents and volunteers where friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Clean shaded picnic tables. Clean restroom.
California Citrus State Historic Park is juiced around the corner. Will definitely go back again.

Neat stop when in Riverside 91 Exit Van Buren. Parking is $7 per car. We stopped by on Sunday after Big Bear trip. There was a small museum and where we could try some fruits. We walked around to see lots of various citrus trees with fruits. Note that there were signs that you could not pick fruit from the tree or ground.
The small streets surrounding the park were full of farms and orchards, also with a lot of orange trees. It was nice to drive around to see and take pictures.

This is an incredible and iconic piece of history for the city of Riverside. Strolling through this beautiful & colorful park brings you back to a whole different world and feel of the world of citrus where all the first oranges in Riverside were brought for the first time. This is great for families and large groups. We enjoy running through the orchards and watching all the different citrus types. do not forget to go into the mini citrus museum and the gift shop. They have very unique items.

We had a great time wandering by ourselves but probably would've been happier with the tour. I wish there would have been way more fruit for sale especially after the tastings.
The Riverside Metropolitan Museum is a dedicated institution that showcases the historical, cultural, and natural elements of the region. It features fascinating exhibits on the city and county's history, including its Native people from various tribes such as Cahuilla, Serrano, and Luiseno Bands. Visitors can witness examples of native craftsmanship in cultural artifacts on display while exploring displays of local flora and fauna upstairs.
While the museum is still closed, they are very involved in the community through events and operating their other priorities (the Heritage House and Harada House).
There's still a lot to see from the outside. The architecture of the building is Italian Renaissance. They have a miniature statue out in front of the museum also.

This is Riverside's humble little museum. It does have interesting exhibits on the history of Riverside city and county. The local history even covers the varied Native people from the Cahuilla, Serrano, and Luiseno Bands of Indians. The cultural artifacts on display are good examples of Native ingenuity and craftsmanship. And, Don't forget to see the Biological displays of our local flora and fauna up stairs. The gift shop also has some rare and hard to find books for sale.

The photography exhibit upstairs is interesting, and gives a good perspective of Riverside as it grew into the city it is today. Unfortunately thought, the bottom floor is pretty small, with a real limited offering.

Fairmount Park is a peaceful and scenic destination that offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. This park boasts beautiful rose gardens, serene lakes, picnic areas, a golf course, and rental pedal boats. The park hosts several public events ranging from low rider car meets to bicycle ride alongs. Additionally, visitors can make use of the basketball courts or relax in the water park area after a long run during summer months. Local vendors provide delicious food options as well.
This park is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Riverside. It’s absolutely beautiful, has such incredible historic background, and it’s absolutely huge. You feel like you’re completely outside of the United States, and then back in here when you drive out. The area around is historically beautiful, it’s just a beautiful niche that is nestled in the heart of Riverside.

Beautiful park!! A great place to sit, relax, picnic, and play games with kids and friends. My boys love fishing and buying ice cream.
The only down part is that the restrooms are dirty and there are way too many vendors… other than that… I love the events like the car show… pretty cool!

A fantastic public park for many activities; walking, running, biking, fishing, family gathering and golf, just to name a few. There are two large playgrounds on opposite sides of the smaller lake (Fairmount Lake) which are great families with small children. The larger lake (Lake Evans) is lined by magnificent Cypress trees with a great walking path that will take you around the entire lake, perfect for a casual walk or run. The Santa Ana River trail goes through this park so you could park here and catch the trail at this point if you wish. Ample picnic tables and benches throughout the park provide plenty of resting and eating areas. It can get busy on the weekends, especially during the summer months, with many events, such as car shows and concert events. You can rent paddle boats during the summer months, located at the boat house. Which offers a great way to see the park from a different perspective. There is a great rose garden that is used often for photo shoots, but I'm not sure if a permit is required or not. I visit the park primarily during the early mornings before it gets crowded, for landscape and bird photography. A variety of ducks and other water birds are present year around. The public restrooms are not great but are available on either side of the park. Overall, a good open space in downtown Riverside.

Lovely older park. I particularly love it for running. The lake in the middle stacks attracts fishing and casual walks. They could use better planning for pedestrian, runners, and cycling. Mile/kilometer signs would also be fantastic. The facility is very large, with plenty of room. There are several nice playground, but not quite enough picnic areas or restrooms. City of Riverside should really dedicate more money to upgrades and maintenance.

A gem situated in the middle of the city. We moved to Riverside a year ago and have been looking for places for a quick outing, this is perfect. About 25 minutes far from my place, we had a nice walk around the lake. Beautiful day- not too cold not too warm. Surprisingly not crowded but I believe it gets too crowded on warmer days. Some people were also playing remote sail boats. I saw 2 playgrounds and my kids played at one of them, lots of fun stuff there too. We just had a perfect day

They sell balls for the kids water guns all sorts of different nicknames There's a water area for the kids to play in. Riverside National Cemetery, located near the March Field Air Museum, is a significant resting place for veterans. As the third-largest cemetery operated by the National Cemetery Administration, it offers solemn grounds and ample space for eligible members of the armed forces to be buried. Established in the mid-1970s and spanning 1,250 acres, this serene site opened on Veterans Day in 1978 and now holds over a quarter of a million graves.
My mom is buried here in this cemetery. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful place for her body to rest. When it's time for my father to rest his body, my mom will be here with open arms waiting for the love of her life. Thank you to everyone who keeps this place so clean. God Bless!

The staff was all very kind as well.

Beautiful place horrible service!! They disrespected my loved one too the fullest. The services were rushed, lasted 15 min at most and was rudely interrupted by one of their workers!! Our party got separated by the workers and we didn't even get to say a proper goodbye. I've never been to a funeral that was handled so poorly. Heather who was a point person was all over the place and rude. When we asked her what just happened and why did we get separated she simply said, pin your location and have your siblings come to the grave site. I informed her that they didn't have their phone on since it was our father's funeral and she said, well you can walk to go get them. Then she said, I have another service to get to so if you have any questions you can email me.. I emailed them to complain and of course I never got a response. Horrible service

We came to visit and teach our children about Memorial Day. This cemetery is vast and beautiful. I have learned that the Riverside National Cementary is the largest of all in the United States. So many stories one can learn from reading the several placards scattered throughout the cementary. Even on a busy day like today you can find areas of tranquility. The memorial to the medal of honor soldiers is a sight to see. I would recommend good walking shoes and parking at the entrance off Van Buren. I was told inside the administration office there are several war artifacts however it was closed due to Covid policy.

The March Field Air Museum is a hidden gem that hosts over 70 historic military aircrafts, including operational jets. The museum offers an extensive collection of treasures to learn from and contemplate, with the planes on display being just the beginning. Visitors can get up close to these massive machines and marvel at their power.
This is a hidden gem. The museum is much larger than I thought it would be and absolutely filled with treasures to learn and reflect upon. The planes out on the flight line are just the tip of the iceberg - and there are a lot of planes to comprehend. The ability to get so close to these massive machines is breathtaking. My favorite exhibit however is tucked in the back corner of the museum - the story of a WWII aviator in his own words by the letters he wrote home. The story starts at his recruitment in Buffalo NY to basic training to his death is the Pacific and to the recovery of his body. Powerful first hand understanding of the War experience. Look for it during your visit. You'll enjoy it too!

What an incredible experience. You don’t have to be aviation fan to enjoy this beautiful museum. Amazing technology created decades ago. You get to see the SR-71A Blackbird the worlds fastest aircraft up close. And the magnificent B-52 which is a monstrous aircraft. A very broad selection of fighter jets. There’s a lot to see at this museum so plan to take your time if you want to fully appreciate world class aviation.

March Field Air Museum was a fantastic surprise for me, as I just happened to be in the area for business. They have several dozen classic military aircraft on display, and many in the process of being restored - I actually got to see a technician working on an F-4 Phantom as well as an F-86. Any military aviation enthusiast will love this facility. It’s a little more rough around the edges than more major air museums, but I loved that about it. You can tell the museum is a passion project for those involved.

Having been to a bunch of aviation museums, including Dayton AFB, the USS Intrepid, and the Smithsonian, I would put this up there as one of the best.
They're very well stocked with tons of cool aircraft, and the staff is really enthusiastic. Plus they're right next to an active airfield with F-35, F-16, F-18, and Predators. I wish I had more time and will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area.

This place is truly a hidden gem, offering more than just the opportunity to see airplanes and artifacts; it provides an unforgettable experience of meeting former pilots such as the great Walter Fus. He shared captivating anecdotes and tales of his journeys, showing us pictures that filled us with pride for our men in uniform and the Air Force. I learned a tremendous amount from listening to him. Witnessing the dedication and effort required to maintain these engineering marvels was eye-opening. Exploring the cabin and being surrounded by controls, switches, and buttons was an exhilarating experience. This place is at the level of the NASA Visitor Center in Florida. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to bring your family and friends along and take advantage of this fantastic place where you'll create great memories that you and your family will cherish forever.

If you live in socal, you owe it to yourself to visit March Field Air Museum and learn some history about such an important location that's been the home to some of the most famous aircraft in history. To live so close to such a historic place, it'd be a disrespect to our veterans and currently serving men and women not to visit. One of the coolest museums that I've ever been to where you can be within breathing distance of some of these iconic aircrafts. Oh and before I forget, yes they have dessert and they serve that as soon as you walk in in the form of the SR-71 Blackbird and it is magnificent.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome! So glad I made the drive down here. Worth the traffic. Parking is easy and the museum has plenty of air conditioned indoor space. It can get very hot and, other than under wings, there is little shade in the outside areas. This whole facility is way more than I expected it to be. A huge selection of aircraft, vehicles, uniforms, and much more. Covers all the major conflicts, space, and civilian aviation. The inclusion of memorabilia from other nations is a really nice touch as well. On par with the Air Force museum in Dayton, OH.

From my point of view, this air museum is one of the best among similar establishments in Southern California. It has a vast collection of military aircraft, including WWII and decades of the Cold War. My favorite airplane at this museum is SR-71. It was a unique reconnaissance aircraft capable of cruising for hours three times faster than the speed of sound. It carried incredibly sofisticated photo cameras and various advanced sensors. Visitors can see this amazing airplane from a close distance and even take a look inside of its two cockpits. There is a nice gift shop inside the museum. The museum's personnel is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have many volunteers who are happy to answer any questions. It's a really nice place for any aviation and history buff.

March Field Air Museum is one of the larger museums that I have visited. There are quite a few.modern warbirds. Sadly most are in terrible condition. The paint is peeling, wind screens are cloudy and many have flat tires. I would rather see preservative plastic on the glass than what I saw. When you can see the cockpits, they are in a decaying state.
It would be wonderful if someone could clean up the interiors.
Not a lot of prop driven planes, mostly jets.
I did enjoy watching KC-135's doing touch and goes. Plus a pair of F-16s took off, that fun watching.
March Air Museum is a great teaching location. Children will learn about military aviation throughout history.

The inside area is history and The outside area has all the airplanes you can imagine. I really loved the museum.

Stopped by the Museum on our way from Joshua tree to San Diego. My kids had a wonderful time doing a scavenger hunt for critters inside the museum/hangar. It was wonderful to see retired aircraft’s and learn about their history. Bring your kids along and have a blast…highly recommended!!

Outstanding museum, if you like airplanes or want to learn more. The mini bus ride around almost every plane is a must do (about 45 minutes). The military radio history is pretty good also. The people that work there are mostly volunteers and really enjoy what they do and are very knowledgeable. This place is a great tribute to those who served. Real glad we went.

I’m impressed with the amount of aircraft that are on display. The docents are so willing to share their knowledge and sometimes experience in the exhibition. I recommend you a lot time to see the vast amount of aircraft on display.
The Mission Inn Museum is located in a National Historic Landmark hotel built in the Mission Revival style. It showcases local history and art through various unique artifacts with interesting histories. Admission to the museum is free, and visitors can also purchase souvenirs from the gift shop. However, photography is not allowed during the tour despite some guests taking pictures. The knowledgeable tour guide provides an informative experience for visitors despite this restriction.
The Mission Inn Museum has a few interesting historical exhibits and is free admission. It was interesting to read about the artifacts as they each had unique histories
There is also a gift shop as well which had some nice items for sale, we were interested in purchasing some earrings but unfortunately they were closing so we ran out of time.

The Mission Inn is amazing 5 star all the way. The 4 star rating is for the tour. It is worth it BUT we were not allowed to take any pictures. I don't know why when guest were taking pictures. The tour guide was good. She was knowledgeable. I just could not get over the NO picture thing.

I highly recommend the Mission Inn tour, it is fabulous! Everyone is so informative, helpful and so enthusiastic about what they do. The museum, the Inn, and restaurants were all amazing!

I hate to do it, but I left a bit meh here. It wasn’t the worst, but not the best either. The museum itself felt more like a gift shop to me. So many items for purchase. Souvenirs galore. While they did have some really cool items on display I left fast and bored. They do have some tours for purchase that can get you into the Inn, but no photography is allowed on the tour. I did not go in the tour so I can’t review that part, but I myself was in and out of the museum in under 20 minutes. I was greeted on entry, but other than that the employees just sat and talked amongst themselves.

The tour of the mission inn was very insightful. It is a must see destination for history and architecture and the tour guides do an amazing job protraying that.

This is a great museum and shop. Whether you're a Riverside local or not this is a great stop. It tells the history of the Mission Inn and Riverside and the significance the Hotel has had in shaping the city as we know it today. Offer a wonderful 75 minute walking tour of the hotel daily.

Paid tours. 15 for residents and 20 for non-residents. The guide was very knowledgeable. Apparently they are volunteering.
Hot when explaining outside. Bring sunscreen and ur own shade.
Lots of history. Go into hotel to see some rooms, presidential suite. Lots of presidents came here.

This is should be on your Holiday-go-to list! We went last minute and just enjoyed the lights outside the hotel but were already worth it! Purchasing tickets online would be great but there would still be a line going inside the hotel.
Outside displays and lights are amazing and we topped it off with hot chocolate while walking around.

The Mission Inn sells a lot of a souvenirs. The Mission Inn is a must see in Riverside, as it contains a lot of history.
There is also a 75 minute tour. You get a tour inside the museum. You see the inside of the museum. You learn more about the history of the museum. You get an explanation of some of the artwork there. The fee for the tour is worth it if you have some time in downtown Riverside.

I thought the free part was bigger, it was very confusing to find the museum. I saw the huge hotel but I thought it was a big museum. It’s very beautiful and captivating either way! I found out the tours were $15 each I’ll catch it another time.
The Fox Performing Arts Center has been a Spanish mission-style theater since 1929, showcasing Broadway revivals, concerts and classic films. The venue offers excellent location and parking availability with comfortable seats and top-notch acoustics. The concession services are good, and the neon signs add to the beauty of the hall. Adherence to covid protocols is well-maintained, making it convenient for visitors to enjoy their experience without any worries. The sound system is exceptional with performers exceeding expectations.
Great place for a concert! Beautifully restored historical building. Easy Handicapped access to balcony ADA seating from 2nd floor of parking garage.
Went to Salvation Army fundraiser and saw "Private Eyes", a Hall & Oates tribute band. Excellent show!

My Son got baptized this past Sunday very proud of him. We had Church!, yes church at the Fox Performing Arts Center. Elevation Pop Up experience in Riverside CA. Enjoyed the space. Each time I have been there for concerts and more. We enjoyed the experience. We will do this again.
Nakia Dixon — Google review
The ticket times for the theatre are never correct. Typically, they’ll have the show listed as an hour earlier than the actual start time. Further, they won’t let you in until the time on the ticket. Doors will not open at all until about half an hour before the show.
I brought a couple of senior citizens who have difficulty standing to the show, and there was nowhere to sit whilst waiting. The amount of people inside the theatre waiting to get in the doors led to some pushing/jostling, which makes it more difficult for those who already have difficulty being steady on their feet.

I went to see the show STUMP at this venue. The show is fantastic and I fully recommend it! The security company and the policies of the venue, how should I say this; SUCKED!
These rent-a-cops were really authority heavy. Prohibiting certain items but letting friends walk straight through. Really need to revise policies.

This place’s security guards are the most vile humans I’ve ever had to deal with. They(a woman security guard) treated my little sister who is neurodivergent like she was a criminal and stupid, yet had the gall to act like I was out of line when I expressed my upset over this. Treated her with disdain just because she needed help going through the metal detector. Would NEVER pay to come here with the utter vitriol their security has for its patrons. A disgusting, discriminatory, and pitiful establishment who needs to hire more respectful security.

I have attended many events in this theater and will likely continue to do so, as all of them so far have been amazing. However, recently my friends and I attended a comedy show there and witnessed some unsafe conditions. I post this publicly so that hopefully the center management will work to fix this problem. We were sitting in the upper balcony, on the left side facing the stage, right behind a stub wall with a decorative wooden top. At this point one set of descending stairs has a landing/walkway and then the stairs continue further to the left. We noticed several people stumble and almost fall descending the stairs at that point, so my friend and I started feeling anxious about the poor people who were stumbling. She even pulled out her phone flashlight to better light the area when we noticed people walking down. Something about the angle of the two flights of descending stairs and perhaps insufficient lighting made it much worse. Then, despite these efforts, a woman with short, brown hair in her 50's or early 60's DID stumble and fall down 5-6 steps, landing backward, legs akimbo. She was shaking and hurt. Fox theater management: this safety issue must be addressed or more people will fall and get hurt!! There could be more lighting added on the steps or glow tape added as a temporary measure, but it is not safe and will cause injury if left unaddressed.

Husband and I went to see Yuri's concert, which was fenomenal. She sang for almost 3 hours. It was our first time here, despite not living far from riverside. The theater is of good size and all seats are at an incline, so there was a good view from any angle. We'll be here more often. I want to watch Hairspray and Little Women.

I sat row 2 center and couldn't hear the dialog. The music was clear and fantastic. The speakers were not adjusted correctly. The program was not printed. It was supposed to be a qr code and pop up on your phone. Nobody could get it to work. Despite all that, the Million Dollar Quartet Christmas was great.

What a fantastic venue this is. Admission and adherence to covid protocols was smooth and well done. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house the only difficulty we had is the seats are really small and very close together. Much like flying on an airplane. Other than that we have nothing but praise for our experience. The sound, the lighting and performers were beyond our expectations. We look forward to our next experience at the Fox.

UC Riverside Botanic Gardens is a 40-acre garden that houses over 3,500 plant species and more than 200 bird types. The garden is open daily and offers visitors the opportunity to take light walks or challenging hikes while enjoying a picnic lunch. It's an ideal place to visit if you're in Riverside, but finding the entrance can be challenging as UCR has grown over the years. Going there with someone who knows their way around would make it easier to locate.
This place was super amazing. The guy at the gate was super friendly and nice. Walking in was nice and there is so much to see and do, I had no clue the garden was that big. There is a variety of different biomes and classes of plants for you to see. There is quite a lot to hike around and see as well. I plan on going back.

I love it here. Only $4 Parking. I went during the week the closer parking area is not too big but people are always in and out. I found a parking right away. Very nice and well kept. Benches everywhere to enjoy the scenery but still feels like you’re deep in the woods. I was too lazy to put my wallet back in my car after paying for parking and realized after I left, I ended up losing it somewhere in there while snapping pics. But I called and they were very helpful. I went back the following day to pick it up.

This review is for plant lovers and outdoorsy people alike. We visited the botanical gardens during mild temperatures and found a hidden gem. Their plant collections are clearly organized along trails, easy to find with the aid of a map. Much of the space is easily accessible, however, some of the trails are rugged, unfinished, and steep.
As a professor and landscape designer, I appreciate the breadth of the collection that includes rare examples not on display in my NorCal region, so the garden provided a unique opportunity to capture images that I haven't found elsewhere.
This place is worthy of a walkthrough even if you are not a plant person. Although, you might become one after seeing so many unusual flowers and textures that draw walkers along the path. My only wish is that they receive more funding to expand the collection. I for one will be revisiting (on cool days).

This was my first time visiting and it was really lovely. It's free to get in, although there is a suggested donation of $10 per adult (kids 12 and under free). Parking was $4 for two hours, and the biggest bummer about that was not being able to select a time longer than two hours.
At the entrance they had a table set up with a really lovely and helpful volunteer and they had nature bingo cards for the kids which was really great.
There are some formal gardens (rose garden, butterfly, herbs, etc) and then some really lovely trails to walk. My kids loved the trails and scampered around on rocks. We came in February it was still a little early to see things in bloom but it was still a lovely experience and we will be back.
The pond is quite small but my kids enjoyed the koi and turtles.

Nice place for a walk & a lesson in plants. With a $5 donation, we toured much of the acreage & spent time with the nicest Botanist. This place appears to be run by volunteers so you can feel the passion by talking with any of them. It is of course, all outdoors so plan your day accordingly. I hoped the butterfly garden would have been an indoor section with butterflies all around but it was just a selection of butterfly attracking plants. The corpus plant was close to Blooming but not quite ready. Cool plant & they even extended their hours so more could view it. Overall it was a good visit. Handicap accessible.

No admission required (aka free admission). However, paid parking required for vistors. $2.00 for half day or $4.00 for whole day. Great spot to spend sometime with different theme garden. We only had time to visit partial of the garden like butterfly garden, turtle pond, etc...but one could easily spent the whole day here.

I showed up on a Wednesday. It was pretty quiet. I enjoyed all of it, the trails, lizards, the squirrel who almost ran into me. That squirrel put his brakes on and skidded toward me, then a hard right, and it was gone. 💕

The garden I'd go to while growing up. It's been years since I lived in Riverside, but having grown up there I've got my share or favorite haunts including the UCR Botanic Gardens. I've snuck in here at night a few times. Don't to that. But it was fun. Also this is where my wife and I shot our engagement photos. A nice place for a light walk or a serious hike, or even a picnic lunch. If you're ever in Riverside this is a fun place to visit. If you can go with someone whose been there it will be a bit easier to find. As UCR has grown over the years the entrance has gotten gradually harder to locate.
Liston Morris — Google review
It's been a while since the last time I visited, but this place is beautiful when the flowers are blooming. If you look closely at the video you can see butterflies everywhere. There are only a few parking spaces, but it only cost $2 to park. I'm not sure if the cost is still two dollars, but you can pay cash at the machine at the gate entrance. There is a slight incline, but nothing too steep. There are benches everywhere and some of them have gorgeous views of Riverside. It's perfect for the family, a date or just some quiet alone time. Definitely a hidden gem!

Free admission, but it would certainly be worth the price of a ticket. Such an extensive collection of cacti and succulents to take in. And most all of them with identifying tags. Well laid out, lots to explore. There is also a "Northern California" section, with several Sequoias to take in. Roses, irises, herbs, really, lots to see.
Andy Lopez — Google review
Lovely place to get in nature and stretch your legs. If you stay on the pathed areas, you can walk it within 2 hours. To wander the other trails, get ready for some inclines and plan to stay longer. Upper parking lot was full, but you can park at the base of the hill and walk up. There is an option to pick more than 2 hours parking now.

Lots of hiking trails. Botanical garden is over 70 acres. Some area pave and is ADA approve. Most of the dirt trails is hard compact.
Small parking lot with pay station kiosk. Clean restrooms. A few water station. Friendly docents. Gift shop online only.
Open Monday through Friday. Check web site for hours.
Worth the visit and go on a nature hike.

This place is a marvel of quiet nature in Riverside. I've been here many times during all seasons (including the reserved twilight tour we just did tonight during the hottest part of summer). The gardens are spectacular with some of the best rose gardens around. The herb garden, butterfly garden and new Native American garden each draws me back every visit.
There's tons of shade, some moderate hikes if you want them, but really something for everyone. Please donate generously. This is a gem in Southern California and worth the drive.

Had the most fabulous day at the UCR botanical gardens. We came in at 10.30 am and were out by 2.30 pm. During this time we covered the entire garden following the map that the guides at the entrance kindly gave us. And they were so welcoming! The park also had WiFi we could sign in to. Every part is labelled with helpful sign boards making it so easy to find our way around. Beautifully maintained, too. The staff clearly works hard. There were restrooms and water fountains at intervals. We enjoyed the cacti 🌵, herb garden, rose 🌹 garden in full bloom, the turtle 🐢 pond and in fact the entire trip. Oh, they're celebrating their 60th anniversary this week. Highly recommend a visit! Entry is free.

We went for the summertime twilight tour. Even though it started at 6:30, it was still hot out. They offered everyone cold water bottles. Janice, who, by the way, was the only reason we were scheduled in recognized me right away. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Janine, Nancy, and Peter, who was our guide. Light refreshments were served afterward. We left knowing more than when we arrived. I was SooOoo pleased that I joined the membership, which had its own benefits. I highly recommend going as I shall return.
Van Buren Drive-In Theatre and Swap Meet is an iconic cinema that dates back to 1964, known for its outdoor screens and bustling Swap Meet markets. Such a cool theater to bring the kids and hang out prior to the movie… clean and safe environment… if you love being outdoors and watching movies, this is the best place to do that… we come prepared with blankets and snacks… the only down part is that the snack bar is not that great…I think they are remodeling… hoping for better food… otherwise bring your own😉

Horrible experience.. I go alone and there were so many headlights shining toward me, toward the screen and also brake lights.. I went about an hour and a half after the movie started it kept getting worse. I took video for proof. As I went to the ticket guys this guy George went irate said he didn't see any lights and started arguing with me. He told me to leave I was turning around my vehicle to exit and he barks another order and says to take the security guard and show him the lights.. as I park my car and grab my jacket he is charging toward my car still yelling at me to leave I replied "I am doing as you're telling me to, what is your problem" he then threatened to call the cops on me so I got back in my car.. I asked the security guard what that guts name was and George is again charging at my car and is at my window yelling at me.. I go here every weekend alone. I do not appreciate this kind of service and didn't get a refund.

Just a FYI they do not serve popcorn, or your normal movie theater drive in snacks.. I was pretty disappointed.. I wanted nachos and a pretzel and when my boyfriend called me when he went to go to the snack bar to tell me all they had was Mexican food. I had him get me a hot dog.. $8.00 for a hot dog that was just a regular hot dog that I could have made at home. Will bring my own food next time. Also people are inconsiderate when watching the movie.. leaving there lights on.. showing on the screen.. their alarms going off.. people with big subs parking in front of you.. went the are supposed to park towards the back.

We had so much fun! They have a snack bar with great food options. And the prices for food was actually not crazy overpriced either. Everyone working was so polite and patient. I suggest getting here early because we got here an hour before the movie started and there were already a good amount of people in line. I think the one hour was a perfect amount of time to be sure you get good spot and to order food before it gets really busy. All in all 10/10. We absolutely will be going back.
Update: well I'm sad to say this because I thoroughly enjoyed our last experience and decided to come back like I said I would.... well this time was awful... I read reviews on screen 2 and come to find out myself the reviews are true!!! Saw The Little Mermaid on opening night with the kiddos and couldn't hear half the movie! Such a disappointment for all of us.
Update 2: we ended up going back bcus the kids really wanted to and the movie was screen 2 again go figure... well I'm pleasantly surprised it was fine! My hypothesis is that if it's slightly windy that's what messes up the screen. Which is understandable
If we plan on going be sure to see what screen you'll be watching on. Screen 2 is a no go!! But screen 3 was great. I haven't used screen 1 yet. Will update if I do

LOVE THIS PLACE! You get 2 movies for $10 per person. It’s such a great deal. You are able to bring in your own food and snacks. Overall a great experience and a great deal.
Side note on the food court: the churros are not good. They might smell delicious but they are a hard pass.

Swapmeet is great to go during the weekdays or weekends.
The drive-in is also great to watch movies. You pay one fee and you get two movies out of it definitely worth the money. Only downside is you get some nasty people who smoke their weed. They have no respect for people around them who don’t want to smell that trash.

I love the drive-in theater as a family outing during the warmer months. It is the most affordable outing these days, and we enjoy it. I've been going since I was a kid, and now I take my own kids. They keep the restrooms and area clean. There was constantly an employee out cleaning when we last went. There is a snack bar available, but we also bring our own pizza. FYI, Dominoes is right next door.
The Riverside Art Museum is a cultural hub that offers an exhibition space featuring art classes, workshops, lectures and a museum store selling local art. Located in a good area with ample parking and excellent service, the museum provides military discounts to show respect towards military members. Visitors can expect to see constantly changing art displays showcasing a great selection of well-kept and beautiful artwork. The museum also houses the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture as an added bonus for visitors interested in Latin American art.
Beautiful galleries that are diverse and showcase multiple communities. Tickets were about $30+ for two. This gives you access to two museums.
Really cute date night idea. We went on a weekend, so there was a farmers market close by.
I would definitely start off by getting coffee or breakfast (lots of great coffee shops near by), browse one museum, get lunch, and browse the second one.
Some artwork made me emotional, but worth the experience.
I do suggest buying tickets in advance as we had to fill out a short form before entering. This could be time-consuming for groups bigger than 4. The form took us about 3 mins each, and they only had one tablet available.

Riverside Art Museum was an amazing experience. I love smaller art museums like this one which showcase local artists who have been building up the community. This museum was the perfect size for me. It's a beautiful building with an interesting history. For such large gallery rooms I think more art could have been shown and definitely more variety. There is a gift shop, but again not a lot of variety. The staff only spoke to us to scan our tickets, then ignored us for the rest of the time. You can see everything in about 30 minutes. There was a full gallery room closed when we were there, I'm assuming there was a new exhibit being set up. There was also a full hallway upstairs with wire ready for art, but it was again empty. Maybe it's on transition to different art.

First time to come check this amazing place out the staff is super friendly. They are all polite and welcoming one of the volunteers gave us a history lesson on the building which was awesome who new it was a girls young womans Christian center. Pretty cool to know that where one of the exhibits is laid out use to be a indoor swimming pool. So that being said nice art work from various artist paintings, drawings, and photography they even have art for children posted on the wall. They accept donations. Small exhibits but worth checking it out. Did I mention there are sculptures too fantastic to look at and intricate

Concerns Regarding Overreaching Security Policies at Riverside Convention Center
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the security policies currently enforced at the Riverside Convention Center. As a regular attendee of events hosted at your venue, I have become increasingly troubled by the overreaching nature of these policies, particularly regarding the handling of personal identification and the frequency of check-ins required for breaks or lunches.
The policy requiring attendees to hand over their driver's licenses is not only concerning but also potentially illegal. It is a significant invasion of privacy and a violation of individual rights to demand such personal identification. Furthermore, retaining possession of these documents presents a risk of identity theft or misuse, which is wholly unacceptable.
Additionally, the requirement to check in with the office for every break or lunch taken throughout the day is excessive and burdensome. While I understand the importance of maintaining security within the premises, this level of oversight feels like an unnecessary overreach of power. It not only disrupts the flow of attendees schedules but also creates an atmosphere of mistrust and discomfort.
Furthermore, I am deeply concerned that resources and focus are being allocated towards enforcing these excessively strict policies instead of tackling more urgent issues, such as homelessness in the vicinity of the convention center. As responsible community members, the Riverside Convention Center should prioritize addressing homelessness over implementing a ban on vendors for using the wrong exit during breaks.
In light of these concerns, I urge the management of the Riverside Convention Center to reconsider these security policies and implement measures that are more respectful of attendees rights and privacy. Additionally, I implore you to addressing homelessness and other social concerns in the surrounding area.
It is my sincere hope that the Riverside Convention Center will take prompt action to address these issues and uphold its commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees.

Known to be the Boutique Convention Center in the Inland Empire not only in size but also for the Hospitality and care the staff has with its guests.
Close to everything in downtown Riverside and offering flexible (indoor and outdoor) meeting space this Center is perfect for both small and large events. Near to 4 major hotels in Riverside including only 1 (city) block away from the historic Mission Inn Resort and Spa. Also, if you are brand loyal, a Marriott (full service), Hampton Inn, and Hyatt Place are mere steps away from this gorgeous building. I have never seen restrooms or public areas so clean before! Believe me, I notice as I'm always at either concerts or movie theaters so whenever I come across a facility doing a spectacular job I have to comment.
A quick ride from Ontario International Airport allows groups from all over access to this hidden gem. Last August a family member had their Wedding here and OH MY! you know when food is good because your guests continuously bring it up at family gatherings LOL! Well, it was not only delicious but the staff took such care of us from the beginning of planning to the day of our event. We'll definitely return!

I can't say enough good things about my experience. It was simply amazing, and the food was fantastic! My family of hard critics are still talking about the food. They have rooms to accommodate any size party. Lastly, the staff members are first class rockstars! Everyone is treated like royalty. On a side note, the bathrooms always smell like heaven. They run the place like a well oiled machine.

This is a very nice convention center and is perfect for our annual church Camp Meetings! There is plenty of room for vendors, and the bathrooms are pleasant. Having the escalators as an option makes it nice rather than having to use just stairs or having to wait for an elevator. The large auditorium is nicely done and holds thousands of people. Parking is easy and not a long walk.

I've lived in riverside, my whole life. This place is great. They have so many great events here. The place is spotless very secure right in the middle of downtown just went and participated in the Inland Empire magazine. Best of the best Gala. My wife writes for the Magazine and we had an amazing time with an amazing staff.

Riverside Heritage House is a historical museum housed in a grand Victorian residence which features period furnishings and decor, as well as landscaped gardens. The docents are knowledgeable and kind, providing informative tours of each beautifully decorated room filled with fascinating history. It even offers special presentations such as the black veil presentation that showcases its rich heritage. Although the attic isn't permitted for tours, visitors are still encouraged to make donations since the museum runs entirely on them.
Love it!! Will definitely come back God willing… and take my momma 🙏🏻😘🥰 loved the Christmas tour…. Looking forward to getting the whole house tour 🤗👍🏻

Lovely but chilly day at the Heritage house in December2022. Mom, herself a historical guru loved it and we will be returning this weekend in May to visit with my sister and hope to see the upstairs as well. Volunteers were great! We made oranges with cloves and ribbons to hang decoratively on the tree.☺️I recommend this place for an afternoon of leisure and learning 😊.

Born and raised in Riverside but it was my first time visiting today. It was absolutely stunning and the docent was so knowledgeable and kind. Every single room was so beautifully decorated and the history was amazing. We were lucky enough to go for the special black veil presentation and it was amazing. My 8 year old daughter loved it as well. I only wish the attic was permitted because I would have loved to see it! Can’t wait to go back for the Christmas season.
It was free to enter but it is encouraged to make a donation since they run completely from donations.

If you are passing through Riverside, this is a must see! They give tours but, you don't need to schedule in advance, although if you're able to, it would be helpful. Everyone was so incredibly nice, and very informative.
I will definitely be coming back!

Loved the tour! 18 month old, 7 year old, 11 year old, husband and myself attended the tour the first week of 2024. We have been in Riverside for about 3 years now and this was the first time stopping by this historical place. It was decorated in Christmas decor, but where recommended to return to see the different decorations the house goes throughout the year. Entrance was FREE!

UCR ARTS is a noteworthy gallery that displays photography exhibits of both historical and artistic significance. It is an exceptional museum that comes highly recommended for a date night, girls night out or even just an afternoon in rainy weather. The gallery showcases captivating artwork and offers visitors a unique experience to appreciate the art form of photography.
nice small museum with lots of rotating exhibits and pieces usually from art students from UCR. good to visit for a date though not with family sometimes the art is a bit obscure or frightening (mostly photography and some abstract art). it's free to UCR students and the public i believe.

went today and it was empty which made the experience a little more fun since you don’t have to wait your turn to see the art, it was great!! they have air conditioning too which i enjoyed. there isn’t much to see but what was there was nice to see, more photography than art but still a good amount of things to see i would definitely come again when they bring in new art exhibits

Was fun to return to a place that has been part of my life since high school. I visited CMP when it was new. I was one of the first undergraduate interns. I returned as a collections volunteer 27 years later. It's been 14 years since then and I am impressed with the progress that has been made.

Well worth the money! There are three floors of photography with different subject matter—war, landscapes, portraits, etc,. You also get to learn about the history of photography. And there’s modern art too. I’m definitely coming back.

Newly reopened (May 2021). Enjoyed the exhibit, ambled around for about an hour and 10 min. Tickets were free, probably to entice people to come out again. Masks required while in the building and there were masks available for those without. Staff were friendly.
The Cove Waterpark features a variety of attractions including wade pools, tidal waves, racing slides, a treehouse structure and Adventure River. Despite being relatively small in size, it is perfect for kids and enjoyable for individuals visiting alone or with small groups. The park allows in and outs and offers first come first serve chairs and umbrellas. The staff at the side gate could be more welcoming but it is still worth a visit due to the park's manageable crowd size.
This place is awesome my 8 year old and 4 year old love it! Not expensive and the foods alright however they let you take ice chest full of food and drinks for a fee of $20……. The only bad thing is there’s no alcohol allowed but I guess that’s okay just to have a fun day with the kids!!!!!

Nice park to take kids, lots of fun and relaxing. Loved the lazy river just wished it had more tubes to use, very limited. Also the 5ft pool definitely needed to get cleaned there was lots of hair floating. The kids area was very busy, they also need more umbrellas.

We rented a cabana but saw the people right next to us didn't rent one but no one said anything to them so they were there the entire day. I put out $85.00 to rent. Both bathrooms were disgusting, sorry but people are gross and don't clean up after themselves. The lights in the 2nd bathroom were broken. It appears that they must have used some type of bleach cleaner in the locker room area as my swim suit bottoms were damaged and need to be tossed in trash. The water coming from the sinks need to be fixed or changed. The sprayis so hard it hurts. The food to purchase is very expensive. They wanted to charge us $30.00 to bring in my own chips. No thanks.
We wont be going again. I would rather spend my money at great wolf lodge!

$30 extra if you want to bring your own food in.
Water park was ok. Different sections for different ages. Kiddie Water zone, lazy river, pool, surfing, and water slides. Red slide is the most thrilling. Green is for those who are hesitant of the slides.
It's a good park if you don't want to go far to the great parks.
Saturday and Sunday is very crowded.
AMY HERNANDEZ — Google review
First time here on a Friday during summer. Not crazy crowded at all!!! There were a lot of people but not to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. Pretty small water park but perfect for my kids. This is a great place to go if you're single/by yourself and have a lot of smalls with you. Definitely worth making a visit. Staff at the side gate was a little rude and not very welcoming but we still had a great time. They do allow in n outs which is great. The chairs and umbrellas are first come first serve, but people are constantly coming and going so you really don't need to wait long for a spot. We will definitely be coming back again.

Great park to play, no hospitality. Kids school rented park for a few hours and first they let us in late. Then, there was zero snack bar, which had always been open when we rented years prior. Lastly, they kicked us out like we broke in. Staff was blowing whistles and shutting everything down 30 minutes b4 time was up. Only credit I can give is to level of safety observation was very high. Don't think we'll be back on our own after this, just wasn't as welcoming as expected for all the charges ($50 to bring in ice chest even without snack bar available).

So I took my kids here for my daughter's birthday. I rented a cabana as well. My first issue is that with what u pay to have ur cabana reserve, it should be monitored better. When we got there, people were in our area. They kept trying to take chairs and sit in our area. It is supposed to come with a waiter sort of speak, but no one ever came to get our order. My daughter went to order food was overpriced, and nothing hardly on the menu was in stock. My sons friend shoes were stolen were u leave them at to get in water. We eventually found them. A hour before close, someone pooped in the water, so they had to shut it down, so we lost an hour of time. Bathrooms were disgusting and looked like they never were cleaned.

The Cove Waterpark is a fantastic destination for family fun and relaxation. With its thrilling water slides, lazy river, and wave pool, it offers a refreshing escape from the summer heat. Whether you're looking to enjoy a day of aquatic adventures or simply lounge by the pool
Mavis Baltz — Google review
If you get there when it opens at 1 pm your okay as far as the water being "clean" however after an hr the lazy river was full of bugs, grass, and other debri, my grandson and I were floating under the bridge and saw awful cobwebs that had spiders in them!
The slides were okay and water was clean for you exit the water quickly.
The pool was clean at 1st but there were kids in diapers and well it didn't stay clean long
The best part was the Tots area where there were the wade pools and it was really nice if you have little ones and my 9yr old grandson even enjoyed it
I give it 3 only because of the 2 areas and the young kids (lifeguards) that work there are really attentive and caring about the kids

I strongly recommend you to visit this place. The best option to refresh in the summer, and avoid to driver 1hour to get in the beach (for those who lives in riverside)
Great for kids.
Suggestion: arrive early to get the better spots, or rent a cabana.

This is a great place to bring the kids during the summer. They have several lifeguards on duty. There are many different areas the kids can play at, including a river with intertubes, a shallow splash area for small kids, water slides, a surfing simulation with machine generated waves, an Olympic size swimming pool, as well as a smaller 4.5 ft deep pool. You can buy food there, most food items are $5-$10. They also sell towels, sunscreen, goggles, and life vests for small children. My child bought goggles, they were $8, fairly reasonably priced. You can buy day passes for around $20, depending on your child's height, or season passes which are around $85. They also offer senior and military discounts. My only complaint is the river could have been a bit cleaner. There were leaves and small pieces of trash in it.

Went here on a HOT busy day. It was fun overall. The food needs major overhaul. But I guess we don't go for the food. It's better to take your own food and pay for a cooler fee. Also the ice is free so just have your cups refilled with ice when you bring something to drink with. It's pretty safe, lifeguards everywhere and they all seem to be paying attention which is great for the parents who aren't. Overall it is a great place to spend a day at. I think it's worth it to get the pass for the summer. It's cheap and it's nearby. It's a fun place and safe place for the kids to play and stay entertained for hours during the summer. You don't have to make the long drive to the beach and get full of sand and lug a cooler across the beach. It's just easier and fun. Great place.
I came here on Sunday 7/23/23 and a bit has changed. The price is double. They have maybe 5 floaties in the lazy river and you can't bring your own. They no longer have life jackets for the kids. They charge between $30-$60 for you to bring in an ice chest. It's still enjoyable but it was better.

The Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center offers nature-focused activities, including an earth science museum and hands-on learning with rocks and fossils. The center features exhibits on cacti, dinosaurs, rocks, and fossils that provide a unique and exciting experience for families looking for a day trip. While the parking lot may not be top-notch and some of the concrete stairs have cracks that could cause tripping hazards, overall the center is a small hidden gem perfect for a family day out in nature.
Wonderful place to take the kids.We took lunch and after hiking up the mountain came back down and had lunch. Many out door tables are available just for that purpose.

Great day for a museum and a hike with the wife and daughter...if you're up to it. This little gem of a museum is tucked up on a hill off the 60 freeway in Jurupa Valley. Cacti, dinosaurs, rocks, fossils; this was a really cool find for a nice day trip with the family. My 2 year old was beyond ecstatic to see all the dinosaurs! It wasn't crowded, and had a good amount to explore without wearing you down. I was disappointed that you had to pay extra if you'd like to view an area that had more dinosaurs to explore. The parking lot isn't top notch, and some of the concrete stairs have cracks that could trip you if you aren't paying attention. Overall I would say this is a small hidden gem great for a family day outside!

Went with my son’s special education class for a field trip the tour guide was rude and didn’t let the children stop for a break when they were overstimulated. There was also a few things I did not agree with. They showed the children things like talc and put some on a child’s face. Recent studies have shown that talc contains cancer causing asbestos. They had my son come up and guess what body part of the fossil was inside and rubbed it on his face, then told him it was poop. I felt it was disrespectful. Then to show an experiment they placed the pointy parts of nails on kids hands to show magnitude. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This place is not ADA compliant. They kept yelling at the kids and had no patience. There was a man working there at the gift shop that yelled at the kids who were tired sitting down to “get up pick up your toys, don’t open them till you get home” We are how they make money and it took a lot of work fundraising to get here I am very disappointed and will not be returning.

Found something interesting and fun for my kids to enjoy while we were in the area. To enter, you have to pay $10 for parking, then you can access their museum and walk around the garden. At the gift shop, they have sections where you can see lizards, snakes and other reptiles.
We paid for the Rock Collecting with the Dinosaurs tour, which gave us the opportunity to explore more of the property as part of a guided tour. We saw lots of massive dinosaur-inspired sculptures as we walked by and up close. At the top of the mountain, we also got a chance to dig in a rocky area for gems (treasure hunting). It was mostly small specimens, but a fun experience for the kids.

After years of driving by when I head to Riverside occasionally, I finally stopped by today. Was a neat place to walk around and look at. Little nature garden trail to take a stroll on and look at dinosaur sculptures. There's also a turtle pond. Some areas are closed off and are only acceptable with a tour guide on a tour. I really liked the museum which had all sorts of rocks and fossils. The gift shop was cool too. They also had reptiles and insects there too. Entrance fee is ten bucks and if you buy stuff over $40 they reimburse you the ten dollars. Saw a BBQ stand too. Didn't try, but it looked and smelled good.

It was my first time and I live in Fontana. My daughter loves 🦕. It was the perfect place for a birthday or families on a weekend, price per car $10 flat rate. There is a museum and a separate critter center. You're sure to find something unique at the gift shop. There are a few fossils as well as a variety of stones and range from 50 cents up. Wear you're walking shoes so you can hike around. For a price, you go on an extended tour. Charge your phone cause they're cool photo Ops. I will definitely be taking other people and going back again.

Nice little walk, not over crowded. Staff was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts to the kids and they were very kind.
Over at the gift shop the prices are very reasonable. And they have a great selection for all ages. Only downside is there isn't a little restaurant to eat there but you are allowed to bring outside food and they have nice little areas for picnics.

This place is in-your-face amazing, there are no gimmicks or fancy amenities, but it's what makes it so unique.

The Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre is a fully-restored and renovated outdoor cinema with an original landmark 1945 screen tower. Unlike traditional movie theaters, the prices for concessions are reasonable. However, some viewers have reported that the screens can appear dark due to possible projector issues. Overall, it's a good place to visit as there haven't been any technical difficulties and it hasn't been too crowded.

I love this drive in theater. It is 10 dollars per person for one or two movies depending on the day, check their website. And if you come on a weekday it is empty so you can get an amazing spot and not be bothered by anyone else.
When I went the first time it was on a Saturday and I watched Insidious: The Red Door. There were tons of people and a few people turn on their lights throughout the movie but no more than a couple of seconds. I was able to leave my car on and not drain my battery with just the radio for the whole movie. I also got snacks which were extremely cheap. I got nachos and the jalapenos are free plus you can get extra cheese or butter for free.
They typically have six movies to choose from everyday, three screens, and two different showing times.
The second time was on a Thursday and I watched The Marvels. It was amazing as there was nobody else and I really enjoyed my experience again.
Amber Elizabeth — Google review
It's simple and enjoyable. The snacks aren't ridiculously marked up like they are at the sit-in movie theater so that's nice. The only thing stopping it from 5 stars is that the screens often times look very dark, not sure of its the projectors or not but I wish the visibility was a little more clear.

If I could give less than one star I would. The racism me and my boyfriend experienced here was horrible. They wouldn’t let him in because he looks suspicious and wanted him out onopen all his doors and trunk and mind u we drove separate and they said they do that to everyone but did NOT do it to my vehicle . Then when asked for explanation of why they decided to do this to him , they said they are calling the police and we are trespassing.

First time experiencing a drive-in theater.
I was invited to watch the “live action” movie The Little Mermaid. While the movie was just okay for me, the drive-in experience was okay. Here are my thoughts below.
Pros:
- Easy to find via Google Maps
- Prices were only $10/person
- Enjoy watching a movie in the comfort of your own vehicle or next to it with your outdoor chairs
- Bring your own food or buy at the snack bar
Cons:
- When other people’s speaker is louder than yours, it creates bad reverb
- The screen colors are washed out (picture isn’t as vivid)
- The screen is washed out when someone’s car lights hit the screen
- Screaming kids in neighboring cars
- Smoke from inconsiderate people lingering in the air
Other things to note for a better experience:
- Bring a pillow or blanket (it got a bit chilly);
- Bring your own snacks and drinks (hello, boba!);
- Make sure you have a working radio for your vehicle;
- Bring a group of friends and create a semicircle to watch from your outdoor chairs.
Personally, I prefer the luxury theaters but this experience was nice.

They need to hire new security I don’t know they got attitudes over the smallest things when it’s not even that serious. I went today cause I haven’t been in a while and I used to go to this swamp meet a lot. I went thinking maybe there parking isn’t full yet and I saw the sign that it was full but this security guy was letting cars in so I thought okay maybe they have a spots left so turn and the guy was asking what I was doing I said going in for parking and he said and why and I said parking and he gaslights me saying you just saw I was picking up the handicap sign which I didn’t cause I focused on what’s in front of me as I was turning cause I didn’t know he was moving up the sign for handicap parking and he gave me attitude the whole and I’m not one to go in regardless if they didn’t have parking I wasn’t aware that the ppl in front were handicap I just thought maybe available space opened up so I’ll take my chances if not it’s cool I’ll look elsewhere simple as that but of course he gave me attitude for something so small I’m ngl they should have two security there and put a cones so certain cars can’t go in and I see my fault in this situation but also there wasn’t no need to give me attitude all I did was thinking there’s parking that’s all security guy should look for a different job if he can’t properly talk to ppl thts all I’ll just stick to the chino swamp meet they have better service there and a bigger parking lot

Castle Park is a compact amusement park which offers live entertainment, arcade games and American cuisine. The park's prices are reasonable and the wait in line is generally less than five minutes, with some rides having no wait at all. While crowds tend to gather later in the day, the staff are helpful and positive throughout. One drawback may be that the hours of operation on Sundays are somewhat limited - closing at 8pm. Overall, Castle Park provides an enjoyable experience for both adults and children alike.
Great place to take your family. Was not that expensive like i first thought it would be. I bought the family special online to enter park for 4 w/ food bundle. Paid about $140 The rides were good, only thing the log ride or the screaming demon ride wasn't running. ☹ there was not long lines to wait in. 👍 Overall We had a good time. Definitely coming back. We highly recommend this place.

Very nice place , I love it! It feels very authentic and vintage ,not something that you see in every amusement park.
Worth the membership to support them but unless you do the platinum one there is a $15 fee for parking which is way too much and definitely adds up a lot .
While most of the rides are for kids there are some that are also good for adults and a few for toddlers too. One of my kids is still too scared of most of the rides but still enjoys the little train and the vintage cars and the carousel . I love the trees around that give shade.
I love that the platinum membership gives you a cup with free drink refills for the season and some coupons with discounts .
Another think I really like is that the place is big enough to entertain for the day but not too big to be overwhelming .
Mini golf is very nice and has 3 courses.
Definitely needs ramps to allow people of all abilities and families with strollers to have fun too because there are many stairs and some trees to hide a bit the side of the mini-golf that is by the road full of traffic.

Great prices and the wait for the lines less than 5 minutes or half the time there were no Lines. Not crowded till it got later. The hours seem kinda short. They close at 8pm on Sundays. We loved the whole experience. The staff there were helpful and positive.

Super cute park. Not to big but lots of shade. Mini golf is cute and arcade is fun. Loved both train rides. Oh, and also has a small water park area. Has a magic show and few other rides and hand sanitizers throughout the park! Give it 4 stars because there were a couple rides not opened. But Good place to visit. Definately recommended!

We only went to the mini golf course. My kids like mini golf and they absolutely LOVED these courses. There were 4 courses with 18 holes in each one. Absolutely terrific. We recently moved to the area and we’ve been looking forward to this & we’re now thinking to get the yearly pass, fun!

Went for date night with my husband and our best friends for mini golf. The pricing is reasonable and environment is a chill vibe. Probably should eat before coming though. Snacks are overpriced.

I took Collin to the water park in riverside . Castle park It was very hot that day. So we went to the water slide And it was very cool in that area. There was older people there with their grand kids sitting sitting down watching the kids get on the water slides and play in the water. It was very relaxing I really enjoyed myself. And it seems like the kids was having a awesome time. I think the price was $37 per person person $15 for parking. If you know anything about me you know I keep It real. There's a building near that looks like a barn which serves excellent food And they have air condition. I believe it opens from 11 AM to 7 PM. It's a excellent place for the kids to run around and have fun easy to watch them At the water slide one way In 1 way out.

It's a fun place to enjoy with the family. You can enjoy all the opened attractions easily in one visit. The crew members had a great attitude. A few rides were done and a few broke down temporarily during our visit bit overall a great experience with the rides and arcade. In past visits we have enjoyed the Waterpark and mini golf just didn't experience it this visit. Also if you come is a beautiful sight to see Kevin the parks live roaming peacock. The big top barbecue restaurant is wonderful to get a good plate of food. The ribs and chicken plate so delicious

In my opinion, the rides here are best suited for ages 3 -12. If you want a 5 star experience suitable for all ages, SoCal has plenty of theme parks to choose from. Of course, you'll pay a lot more to get in than we did, only $19.99 online.
As grandparents with four kids in tow, aged 1 to 7, we had a lovely time. Castle Park opened in 1976. Sadly, the log ride and train weren't operating on the Sunday we went. Still, the kids had fun on classic rides like the seaplane, carousel, bumper cars, and antique cars.

I haven’t been here in about 18 years. I gotta say overall I’m impressed that’s it’s still around. Me and my bf just went recently. The rides and arcade are great!! Food, of course, even years later still pricey 😭 so I recommend a cooler and bringing your own food honestly.
I see what Castle Park is doing good and where improvements can benefit them.
The staff is friendly and helpful in every venue and ride.
My only complaint is the lack of hype for Dukes Dj dance party. Like come on , y’all could really have something.
Overall, we will be going back again🩵

My husband and I went to castle park to see how castle dark was for our 4yr anniversary. Their opening ceremony is pretty cool almost as cool as knots. Mazes are short, but the night shift maze was lots of fun for a short maze. You're literally in the dark with a flash light. As for rides really not that many. I mean it is Castle Park after all. We went to Castle Dark twice on a Saturday with my sister, and on a Friday night with just me and my husband. When we went on a Saturday lines got long as the night progressed unfortunately four rides were down for maintenance. When me and my husband went on a Friday night all the lines were short definitely not as many people like we thought their would be which is understandable since most people are tired from the long work week. All the rides were open this time as well. Basically if you want some amusement park fun with your family or friends and don't have a lot of money or feel like spending a lot of money or driving out to far, Castle Park is the place to go. Just keep in mind it is just a small amusement park. All in all had a good time

This place is a nice gem in Riverside. The price for admission is worth every penny. The park has a good amount of rides for mostly all ages.
There are kiddy and carnival rides, as well as more intense rides at the park. My kids loved the classic car ride near the train. They decorate the place for Halloween and it's neat at night with all the lights! They have miniature golf also which makes the place huge, but it's not far to walk to each attraction which is a plus.
The wait time for rides can be a little long and I would've liked to see a sit-down family restaurant near the mini golf course, but we enjoyed our time and will come back when in the area.

Castle Park is a fantastic family theme park that has remained a beloved destination for many years. While it may be missing a major refurbishment, it still offers a fun-filled experience for families without breaking the bank. One of the highlights is their great family package, which is sometimes available and definitely not to be missed.
The park offers a variety of exhilarating rides and enjoyable mini-golfing options. It's a perfect place to spend quality time with family, creating unforgettable memories. Additionally, Castle Park hosts the Castle Dark event, featuring a few spooky mazes that are especially appealing to kids who are starting to embrace the Halloween season.
I would like to express my gratitude to Castle Park for providing an affordable theme park experience for families to enjoy for many more years to come. While some areas may require attention, the overall value and fun factor of this park make it a worthwhile visit.

This place was fun! The gentlemen working the mini golf counter at 5pm 1/5/24 could use a customer service refresher that is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. They failed to mention that groups of 12 or more could save about 80 bucks and when we asked to refund the first of our group to pay he said they couldn't refund. Of course that changed when we asked to speak to a manager. So for everyone, groups of 15 (he was mistaken and told us 12) get a group discount rate fyi.
Mt Rubidoux is a popular hiking destination featuring paved trails, historical landmarks such as a cross, and stunning views of the city. Families are welcome to enjoy the well-maintained paths with rest stops and benches available. However, due to steep elevations, it may not be suitable for young children without strollers or adequate supervision. Street parking or nearby park lots are available but early arrival is recommended as it can become crowded around 8am.
Nice hike with beautiful views, trash cans along the way. Well maintained trails with pay off views from the top.

Great hike. street parking or at the park across the street from the entrance . Would suggest arriving early as it does tend to get busy at around 8am. Took me about 2 hours start to finish.great for beginners, dogs must be on leash. Mostly paved road. Great views.

It's a very beautiful place. We walked with a stroller with 2 children, a light long climb. Beautiful view from above. There are many memorable places.

Wonderful place to hike with family. Nice paved trails, nice rest stops with benches, and perfect view of city. I would not bring youth younger than 5yo as the elevation will quickly tire one out and also with the steepness of the trail 24/7 supervision would be requires without a stroller.
Overall, great location and area for a hike; will visit again.

Great place to hike . You have to park your car in the park across the street, then walk up 2, blocks up, and start hiking. Took me 2 hours to hike all the way up. There are 3 benches for a quick rest stop along the way. Make sure you bring lots of water. It is an all inclined hike. It's a very popular place . a lot of people and dogs go. If it's your first time hiking, I recommend taking a chair and working out prior so you can build some stamina because the moment you try to head down, Chances are you will be getting leg cramps.

Mountain Rubidoux hiking trail was absolutely awesome. My family and I love to hike and this place is now one of our favorite places. Its paved trail, short cut side trails, rock hiking spots and amazing views of the surrounding cities is what will make us come back for sure. It is also a pet friendly place, and very friendly people hiking along you. Loved it.!!

Awesome hike and views. It’s a short hike but the incline makes it a little challenging. It’s a nice family bonding trail. Enjoyed it so much.

Great hiking trails with views of Riverside and the surrounding communities. Paved perimeter and summit loop trails make it an easy walk. Popular area, but plenty of parking nearby. The trail is dog friendly as long as your pup is well behaved and leashed.

The hike to the top of Mt. Rubidoux is majestic. Every inch of the trail offers breathtaking views. This is an easy hike. Trail is mostly paved. At about the 1/4 mile mark the trail splits. It's 2 miles to the top if you take the easy trail (to the right) and a little over a mile up if you take the harder, steeper, trail (to the left). I took this easy way up and the harder way down. Total hike is approximately 3 miles.
At the top there are several shaded seating areas to pause in take in the spectacular view from all sides.
I went around 9am on Saturday. I parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and walked about 1/4 mile to the trailhead. It was a little busy but not too bad.
At the top, I was treated to an airshow. Not sure if there was an actual event or just planes practicing, but it was fun to watch the small planes fly overhead, and perform stunts in the distance.
At the top there is a large cross that you can make your way up to via some stairs, and sit at the base of it.
I saw a bunny on the way up and a couple of interesting bridges and rock structures. Lots of benches along the way to stop and take a break. Not much shade on the trail, but there are some trees along the way to stop and pause under to get a break from the sun. On a hot day, bring water.
This is one of the more beautiful hikes that is easy. Lots of people with dogs (dog friendly) and children.
I highly recommend checking it out!
