If you're looking for a daytrip that will both fascinate and entertain, the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs are perfect. With miles of wide sidewalks and plenty of restaurants and shops to visit, this is one attraction that you wont want to miss.
Greek village with many shops, restaurants and tours. Located on river off the Gulf of Mexico leads boat tour out . This particular boat tour took us out to an island where we could pick up shells for 20 minutes. We also had numerous dolphin sightings. The boat had a bar that you could buy drinks alcohol and non-alcohol if you wished. There were a few children on this tour. Plenty of seating, and you were able to move about the boat while on the water. Another important tip was that the boat was covered so shaded. It is very important for hot days. We did have a cooler day and nice breezes this day. Around $30 per person. We would definitely do this activity again.

Took my mom on the Odyssey dolphin tour to Anclote Key State Perserve to look for shells and enjoy the beach. We found lots of shells and enjoyed the island. This trip was around $25 and worth it. They have drinks for sale on the pontoon boat. The tour guide did a great job explaining the area. We even saw one of the divers looking for sponges.

SPONGE capital of the world. Very interesting history of how the divers harvested the sponges. Greek community. Lots of Greek food and bakeries also many small boutiques to wander in and out. Great place to visit. Boat tours available.

This is a great place for booking activities on the water, enjoying Greek Food, shopping and more. Also watch for good deals on parking, there are some areas for $5 all day. Lots of fun!

This is a beautiful Greek Town, with a beautiful Greek population! Opa! This is an amazing place to spend the day or a whole week. The food, the shopping, the entertainment, are a whole experience! If you want to experience Greece and never leave the country, Tarpon Springs is the place to visit! Bring you appetite & and you wallet, so you can shop and eat local and feel like you traveled internationally.

Cute, quaint an historic. Definitely a must see if you're visiting the area. This is the sponge dock capital of the world!!! It reminds me of Greece. Theres lots of restaurants, gift shops, and excursions where you can go out to the gulf pick up seashells, sunset cruises. Etc. I plan to try the cruise next time.

Lots of little shops with a little bit of everything to see or buy. My favorite was a shop that sold carvings made from a nut, but it looked like ivory. So they practice fair trade and save elephants from poachers. There was also a bakery that had the best desserts you will ever find all in one spot. There was also an art fair with lots of local talent on display. Art for every budget.
Note on parking...first lot is $15. The farther in you drive the cheaper it gets. A block in it's $10 and another block closer to the water it was $3 a car.

We went in mid-January (so off season) but thoroughly enjoyed the scenery without the crowds. You can feel the influence of Greece in all of the stores and restaurants aligning the docks. People were super friendly and our meal and service at Hella's was top notch. Recommend stopping in just for the experience if you're in that area of central Florida.

For My RV Brothers and Sisters: Although it was a bleak, overcast day, it was still so worth coming. Learn about Sponge Diving and taste a bit of Greece.
Park where it says Buses Welcome. The self serve pay stations do charge $25 for the day. No overnight parking.
We ate at Ylanni's and had the Greek Combo Platter for $24.95. Very good. You can eat outside, as well.

Fun place to see the sponge boats, see a free film explaining how they collect the sponges or take a cruise. Shops consisted of places to buy souvenirs, of course natural sponges, get some great seafood or authentic Greek food, as well as, other cute little shops. The first parking lot right at the beginning of the docks was $8, however if you go a little down the street there are several lots that are $5

Very nice area if you like to shop small local stores, good food and ice cream too! I was put in daycare while the wife tasted wine. It was ok, beer and ESPN... I did just fine. Indian rocks beach was great, windy and cold in February but nice to walk on.

Great place for a day out and amazing food. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tarpon Springs area. Parking, mostly paid, is tight but available just about everywhere. See the shops. Eat at some fantastic restaurants. It's worth a day out.

Very nice old Greek Village Visit Florida and Explore Loved the lighting ! Sponges were absorbent ! For Tarpon Springs, the boom started in 1887 when railroad service to New York was initiated. Wealthy Northerners came to this popular destination and built beautiful Victorian mansions; established churches, schools and hotels; and started businesses.
Because the waters surrounding this area were teeming with sponges, divers from Greece came here and soon developed a flourishing sponge industry. The many Greeks who migrated here also set up enticing restaurants, pastry shops, and markets giving the area a Mediterranean mystique.

Fun place to see and walk around. Some may call a tourist trap but we enjoyed all the little shops and restaurants. They have boat rides. We really liked that the whole area is pet friendly. We got a few souvenirs really cheap.

Take a step into Greek culture in this quaint Greek Town of tarpon Springs. Friendly people Amazing Fresh Foods and so much history. This def is a slice of Greece right here so authentic makes you feel like you’re really there. Wide variety of Greek foods gyros, spanakopita and let’s not forget their amazing fresh baked breads and desserts. Shopping here is great too from fresh sponges and so fresh they even still smell like the ocean lots of unique finds here. They even offer a boat ride out to where they harvest the sponges. Another amazing thing is if you’re a movie buff like me they filmed some scenes of the movie Dolphin Tale here. Definitely a must see. Happy Exploring!!
Opened in 1945, Fred Howard Park is a 155-acre oasis of greenery located on the Gulf of Mexico in Tarpon Springs, Florida. With 2 million visitors annually, the park offers shady forests and several miles of nature trails for hikers and bicyclists.andalso features an extensive beach area with crystal-clear water perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Beach, wildlife, kite surfing, boating, fishing, a short drive from home...what else could you possibly need for a relaxing day on the sun. There is a $5 parking fee for access to all of these things, which is well worth it. There is a main park section you arrive at, then follow a short causeway to the beach area. My wife and I both had a great day there which exceeded our expectations. I fished while my wife relaxed on the white sand beach. After fishing I joined here for some beach time. Before we left, we spent at least a half hour just watching all the kite surfers along the causeway.

This place is truly incredible. Beautiful beyond words. I highly recommend not parking at the beach but rather park at the state park entrance and walk to the beach, not only is this a stunning walk but you also avoid the parking fee. Many people chose this and we are definitely glad we did. Get here before 10 am to avoid most of the crowds that follow in after. Lovely nature walks and also perfect for bike riding. Bring your camera for sure.

This is one of my favorite go to beaches while visiting Florida. It's so peaceful and beautiful out at the beach. The palm trees give shade for those who don't like to spend as much time in the sun. I can't say anything about the trails at this park since I've never walked them, but everything looks like it is very well kept up. If in the area I recommend checking it out. FYI you have to pay to park at the beach area. There are restrooms where you can change out of your clothes at too.

Very Nice Park Second Time Here and Both times we saw Dolphins and tons of beautiful wildlife. Yet I still felt safe enough to swim in the water the water with my children. The water was moderately clear and the beach was very clean. Despite the seaweed you see you can tell the beach is well cared for. And it was a beautiful Saturday and surprisingly not over crowded. Just overall great beach.

Beautiful relaxing park to spend the day. The beach is clean and well cared for and you feel like you are on a tropical island. You should go with your own food and drink (but please don't leave litter behind) as there weren't any food options in February.

Nice little walk from the first parking lot, across the causeway, to the beachy area. Round-trip less than 3 miles. There are a few trails, but not quite enough if you are looking for a good 5 to 6 mile workout. The beach area looked welcoming, however I am more of a walker than a tanner and thus can't speak from experience. Saw quite a few birds and watched a couple of dolphins play not too far from shore. Definitely worth a visit. As others mentioned, parking will cost you a few bucks, about half way down the causeway. Parking is free however once you enter the park and prior to getting on the causeway.

We got here at 8am on a Sunday and had no issues with parking. We were the 1st ones to set up. The water is calm and shallow and it never got super busy which was great. Definitely bring shade tents or umbrellas there isn't a lot of cover.
As I'm writing this my children want me to say THEY LOVED IT we have been before and will go again (probably next week) 🌴🐬🥥🏖️

Parking with only a few steps to the water! Pay with credit card on parking machine. Nice space to relax. Bring a beach umbrella or beach tent, a tie up hammock… chairs, cooler… tons of sunblock. Very nice. Water was clear, shore was clean. We set up on the side and it is more secluded. Etsy’s straight into the main beach.

We started visiting this beach more than a dozen years ago to walk our daily 2 miles (from the beach side of the Causeway and back to the beach is 2 miles) after we got off work. We always had a cool breeze as we walked. When we finished, we’d get out whatever we packed for dinner, and sit on the beach, eating our meal and watching the sunset.
I don’t remember when the park system started charging $5 a day for the beach portion of Howard Park. But when they did, we stopped coming. We found other places to see the sunset that did not require a parking fee. It is a 20-30 minute drive home, and the other beaches we found were closer.
This morning I met a friend here, and she comes every Monday. Both of us are considering the annual park pass as it is less expensive than the daily $5 fee IF you plan on visiting at least twice a month. And it’s good for Sand Key Beach and Fort Desoto Park. The pass is also good for two cars.
Since the pass I paid for this morning was good until closing, Husband & I returned this evening (6/30/22) for the cool breezes & sunset. We both like this park for its soft, even sand, the clean restrooms, and plenty of parking. The parking fee is the worst part of the experience, and $5 is not that much to keep the area and restrooms clean!

Beautiful scenery great place for a relaxing walk with the family. The drive in was breathtaking . The beach area is all the way at the end of the park. It wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday to my surprise. The first address I used brought me to the park in the front but if you keep driving towards the back it’ll bring you to this beautiful open area on the water.

The park itself is beautiful and full of trails. There are plenty of places to park, walk and overall enjoy nature. The causeway and beach are spectacular and worth seeing. The beach has an option for rentals.

Great park, great location, very clean, the staff are very nice, we went there for an event and everyone was nice and laid back. We liked how the park is in the middle of a residential area and not in the middle of nowhere.

This is a beautiful shaded park for biking, walking, or gathering as there are plenty of trails and picnic tables and lots of green space. I used Picnic spot #3 and it was perfect for a large gathering with two extra long charcoal grills and 5 picnic tables under a shelter. Very shaded, directly across from the playground/restrooms, and even had a beautiful view of the water! The picnic shelters are first come first serve, unless they are reserved.
You will have to walk or drive the long connecting access road to get to the beach from the park. The beach has restrooms and pay to park. No dogs allowed on the beach, but I was able to walk my fur baby along the road going up towards the beach and she still had a good time in the water.

We went on a Thursday afternoon, and the park and beach were not crowded at all. Walked the paths and then found a nice shaded spot on the beach. Perfect day.

Long trails through the woods. Plenty wide, smooth, and clean. First time I've been to a park with zero litter. The trails would be great for bikes or wheelchairs. Lots of covered picnic areas, plenty of room for at least 20 or more people in each one with charcoal grills in each.
There is a playground in the wooded area that i think is fenced. It's probably good for people with multiple kids.
This park is patrolled, and littering is heavily fined as is letting your dogs off a leash, except the water area of the first half of the bridge. I love that.
Pet friendly until the bridge. It's not actuality a bridge, but it is well above water with water on both sides. There is parking on the bridge, and there are steps down so people can let their dogs swim until the halfway point.
There is a small island surrounded by a beach. I had my dog with me so I couldn't get out but the beach looked nice from the parking lot.

This is a very beautiful park! I enjoy walking the causeway as the sun goes down. Parking is conveniently located to the water ($5 parking fee) and there are also easy to access bathrooms. Note- they will kick you out as SOON as the sunsets.
The Replay Museum is a nostalgic arcade that offers unlimited play on 100+ vintage games. Unlike other arcades where you have to pay for each game, at the Replay Museum you get to enjoy all of the games for free! This fun place should be on your travel bucket list if you're looking for something different to do in Tarpon Springs.
Wonderful “museum” where the art can be touched. Well-kept games in great shape and few are out of order.
Please read their rules before coming in. A picture of the rules have been posted. Respecting the property will help these games live on.
Kids can enjoy the arcade style fun while the adults can appreciate the history of majority of the games! Feel free to have fun too!
You’ll spend much less here where everyone can enjoy time together. They also offer date night specials on Friday and Saturday nights!
Games based on bands, movies, tv shows, music artists, and more!
Hand sanitizer offered between the games. Easy way to have fun and play it safe!
We love that we can come in and out as we please (if you’re wearing your wrist band).
Clean bathroom here as well with a very unique ceiling!

Nice place, lots of game, Little bit of everything, prices are reasonable.
It’s good to see a lot of these classics in one place for all to enjoy. I was able to find multiple machines I enjoyed as a kid here.
I would have to say the machines in the Replay Museum could be due for some much needed TLC. It’s great that they have these here working and being enjoyed, but it would be refreshing to see a lot of these machines get refurbished to that fresh out of the crate look. It’s not a small task I know, the time and labor required to do this probably isn’t in the road map.
Great fun none the less.

Fun location in a downtown area with unique shops and eateries. The replay museum entertained teens and adults for a couple hours.
There are a variety of old and newer pinball machines mixed with classic arcade games. I like the concept of paying one price for all day play.
The machines are well maintained and the place is clean. There is information available above some of the pinball games about when they were made and how many were in circulation.
Some of the games allow for multiple players. Definitely fun and a bit nostalgic.

Great spot to enjoy a huge selection of pinball games and a good selection of retro video game cabinets. Only a couple machines were out of order during my visit. Friendly atmosphere, place is well maintained and games are easy to get to. Great for kids and kids-at-heart.

I spend hours here everytime I go, I just get sucked into all the games. The prices are perfect and so many different games that are suitable for all ages! Staff is very friendly, location is great, and games are sanitized. I highly recommend 😃 When you're done with the amazing nostalgic experience here, hop on over next door to Bear Haven, where you can find a vintage toy or collectible to add to your wondrous daily adevnture ❤️
I read some of the negative reviews and am shocked people complain about the price, $14 all day wrist band that let's you come and go as you please, seems to me to be VERY generous.
I actually love the fact that by having no food it brings a sense of community to then give gamers a chance to visit local restaurants and bars and support local and/or small businesses. Also, I completely understand not wanting food or drinks on the game floor as to avoid possible spills and accidents on the games.
There were review complaints about some of the games not working properly or completely out of order, I don't understand where logic doesn't into play that this place has A TON of games that are played by A TON of people! All of the games are older and need upkeep. I've seen kids jerk around joy sticks and bang on pinball machines l, I've seen adults do it too. This lovely place has a lot to handle and they do it gracefully in my opinion.
Replay, keep doing what you're doing because you are killing it 👏 Thank you for having an amazing unique place!

What a riot. For flat fee you can play pinball or video games from the past 50 years... unlimited play, for free. No food or beverage served. But your wrist band allows you to leave and return all day. The guests ranged from old guys, to dads and daughters, to young couples. A wide spectrum having a great time. This place is unique.

Fantastic array of pinball machines ranging from the old 1930s all the way to one's that are still in production. Went out of our way on vacation to stop by. It can get busy at times, but if you come in the morning to early afternoon, you will easily be able to play most of the pinball machines.

Loved the retro vibe with the educational tidbits. They have a very reasonable price of $14 to enjoy unlimited play. There were some games that were not working but that wasn't a deal breaker. The cathedral Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox is a beautiful building with an amazing architecture and stunning traditional decorations. It welcomes people of all faiths for a visit, and every year on the 6th of January it organizes an epiphany celebration.
Great art and very inviting atmosphere. Took a group of students there and they were in awe of the beautiful artwork. They understood many of the biblical images but enjoyed even the ones they didn't recognize. There's so much culture here that you need time to soak it in.

This place is incredible. I took this picture around 7:45p and it's just poetic. I'm taking a class to learn the Greek language at the church and they're so awesome, accommodating, thoughtful and open to educating anyone. If learning the Greek language or anything about the Greek Orthodox interests you in the slightest, I am sure that there's a class, program, contact or other reference they can offer to help learn about the religion, customs, etc.
It's worth it, I promise.

I had the same problem as some of the other reviewers: the visiting hours (or lack thereof). We were there on a Sunday at 12 noon (exactly). It was closed. The hours state it's open Sundays until 1pm. However, based on what I read here, it seems they just close whenever they want to. Maybe visitors are not really of much importance to them, but still.. there is something about a *church's* doors being locked in the middle of the day that sends the wrong spiritual message.

Unfortunately, the church’s recording needs to be updated in order to not misinform the public about visiting hours, which the recording states is M-F until 3 p.m. My husband and I are staying in the downtown historic area and walked to the church today and it was well before 2 p.m. The doors were locked and I called the church office and a lady answered and said that the church had already closed for the day and acknowledged the recording and said it had to get updated. That’s a true shame because the church has been a highlight of one of our stops since we’ve heard so much about it. We drove from Miami and spent a few days at Tarpon Springs for our anniversary. I asked the lady if it’s open tomorrow and she said only for evening service but that’s not what the recording says. Truly disappointed to encounter this on our last day here.

Small church with lots of colorful windows, you shouldn’t be worry about parking space because they are many spaces available around the church.
A.L. Anderson Park is a beautiful, wooded park with a dog park, walking trails, and picnic spots that can be reached by scenic roads winding their way through the park. The topography of the park offers wonderful views out over Lake Tarpon and Salmon Bay. The park is especially noteworthy for its impressive collection of mature trees draped in Spanish moss. If you're an avid bird watcher or want to explore more local wildlife, add room for A.L.
This is a wonderful place to go fishing, walking & spending time with family. Great boat launch for midsize boats and pontoon boats. Nature trails and cooking sites are well organized and well kept. Dogs are allowed if kept on a leash and there is lots of great shade provided by the trees.

The scenery is gorgeous! the little picnic areas with the barbecue grills are to live for (vs. to die for) meaning you want to revisit more often due to the cleanliness and upkeep of the public facilities and the gazebos which can be reserved ahead of time... Great for company picnics which therefore boosts employee morale post pandemic (hint hint). If you are reading this go ahead and set one up at this park, you won't be disappointed. 🏞️ Don't take my word for it, see for yourself 😁

An outstanding experience for the gender reveal. The pavilion was well placed, clean, and well maintained, with parking convenient, restrooms close by and CLEAN. Is a beautiful park on lake Tarpon. Can enjoy walking, running, biking, fishing, BBQ, and just relaxing in the sunshine. You may reserve a shelter online for a fee. The shelters can definitely fit 100 guests. Restrooms are many around the park. Plenty of free parking, handicap parking,
and you can use the boat ramp by paying to park your car and trailer in the trailer lot.

We went today for a bit. It was too hot and buggy for us to stay very long, but the area was nice. Numerous shelters with grills, dog park, walking trail down by the water, views, restrooms, playground. We really enjoyed seeing the osprey nest and birds. It was an unexpected perk!

Nice park. We didn’t bring the dogs but plan to bring them tomorrow to check out the dog park.
We really enjoyed the walking path and boardwalk. Saw six different alligators, most were four foot or smaller. Loved the little one with bits of greenery on her head and back!
Not a super long path, less than a mile but we did drive through the rest of the park and you could definitely get in a bit more of a walk. We didn’t have time to check out the boat ramp area, but like all the parks in Pinellas County we expect it to be beautiful. These folks take their parks seriously and they are always meticulously cared for.

Great small park with boat ramp, small boardwalk and excellent picnic areas all on Lake Tarpon. There are wide open areas, playgrounds and a great deal of lake front. A nice place for a walk or a break from things in a wonderful setting. I really like the tables that are nestled up in the woods and right on the waters edge. You are sure to spot an alligator at this location as Lake Tarpon is known to have a large population of them. Bathrooms were clean, the visitors were polite and there is also a dog park. A little something for everyone.

Here's a great place for a short, quiet and peaceful walk in the shade, with great views and gator sightings. Unfortunately it looks like the gators are used to being fed by humans. This puts humans in danger, and well as the animals themselves. Please don't feed the wildlife!

This is a neat park with lots of tables and bathrooms. The water views are picturesque. Today, we saw two juvenile alligators at the boardwalk area that swam right over to us. It’s obvious that people have been feeding them. The playground is small, but nice and the kids had fun playing on it. There are a couple short trails, but nothing major. Parking is free at the lots other than the boating area.

What a great place to just relax, walk, read a book, or simply enjoy the scenery. The view to the lake is breathtaking. It's really nice and cozy. They have places where you can separate them for birthdays, gatherings, or have a picnic with families and friends. It was calm, and the surroundings were well kept. Remember not to feed the alligators.
The Craig Park playground is a scenic, small park located next to the Whitcomb Bayou in Tarpon Springs. It has lovely old trees and pleasant walking trails along the waterfront. The highlight of the park is the Heritage Museum with exhibits on local history. There's also a playground and bandshell for concerts and events.
A beautiful park. Want to see manatees? This is the place. Forget the sponge docks - check this place out!

Nice place for a stroll in the park. There are lots of trees and nice breeze going by. You can hang a hammock or sit on a bench here.

Very nice park. Handicap accessible sidewalk goes around park at waters edge. Picnic table and benches and a well manicured landscape and to the peaceful feeling you get being here. Wonderful to sit and relax, dangle your feet in the water, read a book, do your studies, or have a picnic. Boat launch, kayaking, fishing, playground, tennis courts. Nice indoor bathrooms. This is also home to a Heritage Museum.

No, it's not a clear spring if that's what you're looking for. It is a bayou with a easy sidewalk along the very edge of the water. Beautiful, old live oaks with picnic tables and benches. You can kayak here as well. The highlight is seeing the dolphin and manatee. This is a lovely park to walk and relax.

This beautiful park at the Bayou is one of the most popular landmarks in Tarpon Springs. Surrounded by trees, calm waters and plenty of space for everyone. Wonderful for picnics, romantic strolls, and even a great place for non-traditional business meetings. It is stunning at night with lights aglow and the water beckons during the day. So cool to be watching the water while walking around the Bayou when suddenly a dolphin breeches, smiles and rolls over as she swims away. This is a must visit.

Craig Park is a low key spot to bring a blanket, have a picnic with a loved one, read a book or even take a nap. (Seen some people do it.) Relaxing park, it's the same location where the cross is throw in. Well designed, great views of the homes and water. Bathrooms are mostly open and available as well. They also have a really unique hall that can be rented for events too.

This is the most wonderful park! My family and I love to come here. Beautiful surroundings, quiet, perfect for walking and also fun areas for kids to play in. Would come every day if we could!

Craig Park is a "great" place to visit anytime of year but Christmas is really special. The decorations are colorful and the homes in the area are decorated beautifully. You can kayak, see manatees and dolphins at certain times and it's a great place to meet for lunch, take a walk with your pet or just sit and relax. There is a playground for toddlers, tennis courts for everyone plus clean bathrooms. It's a fun adventure right in downtown Tarpon.

Nice park with many benches and picnic tables. I focus mainly on fishing, which is ok here. Mostly catfish with a few game fish mixed in. Dolphins and manatees are common. The park and the water can get crowded on weekends. A nice bathroom is available. I've never seen a drinking fountain here. Lots of dog walkers. Some don't clean up after their dog, so watch your step in the grass.

There is nothing I don’t love about Craig Park! Such a beautiful and peaceful place to go walking or just have a chill picnic. There are tons of squirrels to keep you entertained along with wildlife in the water. Keeps your eyes open for dolphins, manatees and stingray 😍

Took a nice walk here this morning 🌄 😊 Such a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place. Ran into a volunteer crew that was picking up a small amount of garbage. This park is very clean, most likely due to these wonderful young people volunteering their time on an early Saturday morning. Great job everyone and thank you!
Picnic tables here to enjoy some time in the shade under the beautiful trees 🌳 😊

We have always like this little park, tucked away in the middle of Tarpon Springs. It has a lot of shaded picnic areas to enjoy. Many of the tables are the newer plastic top tables, but just in case we always bring a plastic walmart table cloth since all the tables are sitting outside with the weather and animals. Many times we will go to Fred Howard park to swim at the beach but we will stop here for lunch since it is a nicer park and most times does not have mosquitos. Nice park to walk around and take pictures. Has a oat launch area for boats, canoes and kayaks. Easy entrance to the water if you want to paddle board. Water is always flat making it a great paddle board location. Normally it has plenty of parking. All in all it is just a nice place for a quick picnic on the way to the beach. We love it.

The one thing I wanted to get to see before going back home was manatees. At first we thought we were going to see them but right when we were going to leave two of them were spotted. I am very happy I was able to see them.
The Aquarium and Animal Sanctuary in Tarpon Springs is a small, family-owned business that has been helping and rehabbing animals for over 30 years. They house alligators, grouper, sharks, snakes and a touch tank for rays. The new and expanded aquarium will reopen in 2020.
We spent about 3 hours at this little gem today! It kind of looked a little small from the outside but didn't disappoint! You were able to feed all kinds of marine life and reptiles and they had hourly shows that were pretty cool! We had 2 adults, 2 teens, and an infant in a stroller. Everyone had a great time! Definitely a must try for anyone looking for a fun, informational activity!

You must visit if you are in the area! This is a great little spot to visit for kids and adults. It is family owned and operated and a great volunteer opportunity as well. The shows are very informative and interactive. I have never had the opportunity to touch so many amazing creatures before and feeding them is a whole new experience that you can't imagine. The facility is big enough to provide all kinds of entertainment yet small enough to see everything in just a couple hours. I will absolutely be back!

Plenty to do here! Since we went last year, they've added more! It's nice to see the additions. It's very kid-friendly with times for demonstrations and tickets you can buy to feed all kinds of animals. Our 5yo even got to hold a baby gator. Last year, we were there for the scuba diver in the big tank. It's so much more than an aquarium! Highly recommend!

Visited on a weekday in April 2024 with kiddos ages 9, 7, and 4. No lines or crowds. The kids absolutely loved it! Being able to feed and touch many of the animals was a wonderful experience. All of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. The reptile show was a highlight, the presenter was very engaging on a kid's level. We completed our tour and 2 shows from 10am to about 12:15pm. Would highly recommend a visit!

Had a great time. Small and quiet place, but very interactive experience for the kids. You can purchase tickets to feed the animals. My kids had a ball feeding the small sharks, stingrays, and turtles. They have several shows throughout the day. Towards the end they had a gator show and you were able to hold a baby gator. Kids asked a million questions and the staff was so patient and answered them all. Love what they do for abandoned reptiles. It was our first time at this sanctuary and we're planning on going back. Highly recommend.

Great little place for young kids and families. We really enjoyed our time there and the gator show. Feeding all the animals was really enjoyable. Especially the sharks, fish and stingrays. They have turtles, tortoises, ducks, snakes, lizards, fish, stingrays and numerous invertebrates. Very clean and well organized. They are still adding more exhibits and have only been in new location for about a year.

I’m impressed!! I took my friends and my family and they all loved it. It is a great place for everybody. The shows are very worth it, everyone have the chance to hold or touch a baby alligator, snake, tortoises, etc and for free!! We will be back for sure! We also feed so many animals and some even with our hands like the stingray or the farm animals (goats, pony, pigs)! It is worth it!!

We had a blast here, its a great place for some educationally and hands on experiences with animals! My son wanted as much hands on as possible and this was the recommended place, it did not disappoint! We fed a wide variety of different animals and got to hold and pet a lot of different animals as well! It's not a huge place although they do have plans to expand some new places for growing animals! All animals were very well cared for and we greatly appreciated that along with a friendly staff that answered all our questions! Thank you for making his 5th birthday adventure such a memorable one!

What a great time we had here. It's a family owned and operated Aquarium and also an Animal Santuary for unwanted pets and rescued animals. We arrived just in time for the Alligator Show and I got to hold an Alligator. Then we saw the Reptile Show and my granddaughter held the python. Thanks Grant it was very educational. Finally we saw the Scuba Diver Show and that was fun. And in between shows we got to feed and pet the animals there were Baby Alligators, Stingrays, Turtles, Baby Sharks, Big Fish and Farm animals. My favorite was feeding the sting rays. What a great learning experience for everyone of all ages. Definitely check it out you won't be disappointed. They have a snack bar and a gift shop with souvenirs

Had such an absolutely amazing time here. We are from Orlando and were in the area for just the day and wanted something fun to do and me and my family love animals more than anything in the whole world. This facility is way smaller than we thought it was going to be. But it was full of charm and love for the animals which made it all worthwhile.
This is more of a rescue and rehabilitation center for the animals who then become residents. Alligators and a crocodile. Plenty of different tortoise and turtles and snakes and lizards alike. We super loved petting the bamboo sharks and feeding the cow nose rays. We fed the cow nose rays several times.
Feeding the nurse sharks was fun too. Wish I could of pet them but it's understandable not being able to.
The aquarium portion was very big and beautiful. One side was mostly predatory fish like big tarpon, snook, trevally. And the other side being some other salt water fish and some bonnet sharks I'm pretty sure.
The girl who runs the facility with her dad Paige was so kind and friendly and educated and you can tell there is so much passion in her heart for all of this. Wish we didn't live super far from here I'd love to go back more often.

This is a great small, local aquarium! I brought my 12 year old here on Monday while my little were at VPK and he loved it! We weren't here long, but he did enjoy feeding the animals and the touch tanks. We utilized the Florida resident discount to make it fairly inexpensive, however the feeding added up VERY quickly. I didn't feel like you got much for what you paid for in that aspect. This would be great for younger kids or a one on one day. I don't think it would have been worth it for us at full price one day admission, and I'm not sure we would visit enough to be annual pass members. However, if you have young kids this would be totally worth the trip and would be great to visit multiple times throughout the year. The staff was super welcoming and everyone was very friendly!

What an amazing place run by two young people! My sister and I found the aquarium both entertaining and educational! We were able to see demonstrations of feeding reptiles, feel and hold baby alligators, and a small python while learning about them. There were lots of staff to answer questions and talk about the various animal life in the aquarium. Definitely a must see if visiting Tarpon Springs!

This was a very organic experience with reptiles 🐢 🦎 and fishes🐟🐠. The small kids during all shows got fully involved with the presenter with quite unique comments and questions😍 My wife and me are 50+ but still we were loving this place 😃 and enjoying the learning ✨👌experience as them. These young people working in this aquarium, particularly leading the shows, and helping feeding and petting the wild animals did an extraordinary job!!! Definitely a place to repeat to learn and have fun 😊.

They've relocated from the tiny spot at the end of the sponge docks to a large location close by. It's awesome to see how much they grew! Lots of chances to feed the animals (besides those in the petting zoo) with tickets, cute little gift shop right at the entrance where you pay for the entrance, the giant tanks were nice to see upstairs and downstairs, and the staff were very kind and informative.
Overall I think it's a great spot for families with kiddos and school trips too! Very accessible too except for the upstairs of the giant tanks for anyone that is in a wheelchair or have difficulty climbing stairs. I would definitely go again since we had to cut our trip short, can't wait to stop by again!

Tarpon Springs Aqaurium is a must see! We went on New Years Eve and were the only ones there at first. Miss Paige came and introduced herself then went to get a snake for the boys to hold. Everyone there was very knowledgeable and kind.
All of the shows were great and feeding the animals was a real treat. As we were leaving at the end of the day, Miss Paige made my Grandsons so happy when she called out good bye to them and remembered their names from earlier.

This was our first time coming to the new location and it was an absolutely amazing experience. So much so that my son asked to go back the next day again. Paige was so impressive with all her knowledge of the animals and you can tell how much she loves them. The rest of the staff was so friendly and ready to answer any questions anyone had. My son got to hold 2 baby alligators and a ball python. We were able to feed baby gators, sharks, turtles, farm animals and stingrays. They had touch tanks too. We will definitely be back and fell in love with this place. Definitely a must see in Tarpon Springs.

This aquarium was such a lovely spot so close to the sponge docks!! I’m honestly glad I went with this location over a larger aquarium - it’s family-owned, and offers a really charming and intimate experience you don’t get at most aquariums. They offer free shows throughout the day that allow you to hold alligators or snakes after watching the feedings. Not only do you get to see plenty of fish and reptiles, they have farm animals you can pet and interact with! My family and I had a great time at this aquarium, all of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend this aquarium to anyone, especially those visiting the sponge docks for its convenience! Really reasonably priced for what they offer and there are sometimes discounts on their website that make it even more of a steal!

The Spongeorama gift shop is home to the largest variety of natural sea spongs in the world, as well as accessories such as hats and jewelry. It's also a great place to find souvenirs from your visit to Tarpon Springs.
This cruise was so much fun! The two employees on the boat were great. They played music, sold drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices and shared some interesting facts about the area. Not only did we see dolphins, the captain even maneuvered the boat around so that people on both sides of the boat had a great view! The little beach they took us to was beautiful. We found lots of shells including a sea urchin and a sand dollar. My daughter enjoyed swimming too! Highly recommend this tour. I can’t wait to go back in April!

The captain on the boat was threatening to our boat. He said he was going to cut our lines if we didn't move our boat. This a state park first come first serve parking. They do not have a set spot at the Anclote state park. They continue to try to intimate people.Sad that a business would continue to employ people that give their business a bad name.

We booked a 4pm cruise this morning on line. When we went to check in at 330 the lady out front in the booth told us it was too early. We went to look around the sponge dock store and asked the cashier at the store when was a good time to check in for the 4pm cruise. She said that we had to go back to the booth. After walking back across the parking lot to the booth we were told that they did not have us on their reservation list and were over booked. I showed her the email confirmation and she told me we had to wait until 6 to go. I asked for a refund and left. Do not book this cruise! Go right down the street to Odyssey on the same side of the road. They are so much nicer!

Discovery Playground is a great place for children of all ages. There are swings, a tire swing, and open fields for them to explore. It's different from other playgrounds because it has shades that provide relief from the sun.
My daughter and I love this park. It was very thought out. There are multiple options for parents to sit so they can keep an eye on the kidos. The playground area is huge and a lot for a kid to explore and run around. It's shady for those hot days. The bathroom area is close to the playground. It's not too crowded. Yet it is busy, which means it's a steady flow. While you're coming in, people are leaving because they have been there for a while, so it clears out, but then you get the new wave of people. Great playground. Someome threw dirty diapers and empty chip bags on the ground in the middle of the play ground. So that was gross. Hopefully that doesn't happen often. Overall, it's a huge, fun playground. Reminds me of the old jungle gyms from the 90s.

I brought my just turned 3 year old daughter and 1 1/2 year old son here for the first time, and they both loved it! They are both fearless and climbers, so they loved exploring and climbing everything. So different from the other parks we frequent. Definitely will be back!

This playground is really cool! The main area is geared for children that are agile and/or older than 5. There is an area as well for the kiddos under 5. There are swings for infants and a tire swing as well. There's a double swing that has an infant swing attached. There are several open field around the playground. I like that there's a lot of trees near by before all of the shades they provide. Really cool playground!

Big shaded park with lots of activities to do on the play structures. Restroom facilities are clean; just bring extra tp and hand sanitizer. We've visited this park several times and there were several families there but didn't feel crowded and was a good chill vibe from everyone. Pretty clean and well maintained park. Recommend for any age group. Update: Equipment needs power washed.

Nice park with plenty of parking and shade. Although it doesn't have direct access to the Pinellas trail it's close enough that you can park there and start a ride. There are also restrooms, picnic tables, and a filtered water filling station here.

Awesome playground next to some soccer fields. Restrooms where BERY clean, a small book station to grab trade or just read a book while your child is hard at play right near you. We will have a video review in a few weeks once we get more footage.

This playground is one of our favorites. There's a lot of climbing and things to do. There are plenty of swings and a toddler section. The area needs to have some steps replaced, though, as they are thick plastic and are weakening with the hot sun. It really should have metal steps. They also should fix the bench that tikts forward incredibly as it's very uncomfortable and add a step to the one bench area as it's difficult to get in and out of. That bench has been like that for years, and it's such an essy fox to just level it out or lift it.

This is a great little playground. There are lots of different activities and plenty of shade, although it still gets very hot. It's a joy to watch the kids figure out how to use the various equipment.
The Tarpon Springs Castle Winery is a beautiful and fun place to visit for a wine tasting experience. The owners are friendly and take the time to teach you about each of the wines before allowing you to enjoy a full glass. You'll also get a box of chocolates and a bottle of your choice!
Delicious European wine! Fun wine tasting atmosphere! The couple who own and make the wine were fun and energetic. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

Great experience at the winery! Joseph was very knowledgeable about wine and art as well. We enjoyed our time there. As we were the only visitors that day, Joseph made it his priority to make our visit unforgettable. He is a great storyteller and knows a lot about wine production. It was not just wine tasting it was a unique EXPERIENCE. We tasted 4 kinds of wines which were all great. We even tried unfiltered wine and saw how “wine thief” worked. At the end of the tasting we got a bottle of wine of choice to take home. Highly recommend visiting this place and experiencing everything they can offer. One of a kind thing!

My husband and I were gifted a wine tasting at this adorable local winery by our daughters. It was a personal and unique experience with fantastic wine and art. If you are looking for a get lost in the crowd, impersonal your, this isn't for you. But if you want to experience the passion project of a sweet old couple and try some amazing reds, check it out!!

Thanks to Diana and Joseph for a wonderful afternoon learning about the European wine making process, tasting delicious wines and taking in the beautiful works of art that line the walls in your tasting room. We enjoyed your stories and felt like we were guests sitting around your table. A true gem not to be missed if you visit Tarpon Springs.

Great find for a small winery! The red wine was delightful but the presentation from our host’s was outstanding! Diana and Joseph Marks added so much to our pleasant experience with their stories and facts regarding the wines served and the wine industry! Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a new wine experience! Thanks for a most enjoyable afternoon! God’s blessings to you both!

First off I have to say, come here with an open mind, this is not a commercial large scale winery. That being said, the experience is 10/10. The hosts/wine makers are a senior married couple that keep things light and entertaining. Wine tastes clean and non commercialized. Make sure you check out the gift shop!

If you love a lil mom and pop shop! This is the place. My boyfriend and I went here and absolutely loved every second. The husband and wife that own it are extremely nice people. Good conversation, good wine w no headache, and a beautiful botanical garden. Thank you for hosting us!

after driving 45 min to get to this winery, it was discouraging that the owner refused to make an exception with us🙁; I just wanted to taste her wines, we didn't want a tour. The lady is very old to take care of that winery, I hope she finds someone to help her, because the photos are from a yesterday that no longer exists

Delightful couple with a joy for making wine in its purest form. No sulfites, no sugar, zero preservatives and no added water. Our group found them and the experience very entertaining. Our deal was around $40 a couple and came with a bottle of wine and two glasses. Our group enjoyed the experience

My daughter and I enjoyed our experience here for the 1st time. Owner is a Vietnam War Veteran so praise to him first. He was knowledgeable in the craft of European Wine making. It is a very established business and environment. Appreciate the ambiance and you too will enjoy!

Wonderful people, wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to have a private tasting and information session. We will be back in a couple months. I enjoyed this very much! The wine is delectible, the company is both entertaining and pleasant. I would highly recommend anyone to go and taste, buy and learn about wine from this couple. Hopefully next time the wife will be recovered and present as I would love to meet the woman behind the man. ❤️ Thank you again!

What a FANTASTIC experience!! Such a cute quaint winery, where you know love is put into this product. I felt like I was spending the afternoon with family. Not only did we get tastings of 4 different wines, they showed us how to cork bottles with their machine from Italy and let us try a sample of wine still fermenting so we could understand the process. Afterwards, my friends and I enjoyed a glass of wine in the garden and Diana gave me a tour of her plants. (She even gave me some clippings to take home!) 10/10 would recommend!!

This little winery was perfect! My friends and I were a little skeptical upon arriving but it was actually a great time! Joseph and Diana were the cutest owners. We had our tasting in the wine room and they were so knowledgeable. The pours were a good amount and the cheese and chocolates paired perfectly with the wines. Anyone who says otherwise can kick rocks this place was great and will absolutely be returning

Very nice & funny owners. The wine was yummy. Also got some chocolate & cheese. We had a Groupon so we got a free glass and wine included. The owners were very religious & didn’t wear shoes tho.

This experience was wonderful! The owners were so warm and welcome - and funny! The wine was tasty, and I actually learned so much about wine. We got a little bit of cheese and chocolate to pair with a couple of the wines, which was so nice to experience the flavors. I recommend grabbing your glass of wine at the end and relaxing in their courtyard garden!

Phenomenal experience and absolutely recommend. Not a traditional wine tasting, but enter open minded. They have quite the story to share. Best wine our group had ever tasted. Sulfate free, no added sugar, and preservative free wine. Incredible taste without the headache. The couple was happy to share information about wine and we left understanding what we should expect out of wine!

Leslie Hale Teaching Center & Tabernacle in the Wilderness
It was amazing‼️You can't take it all in on one day. Not even if you tried... There are hundreds of Bibles & information about them that you just have to see. There are wonder murals & just everything that you can think of. The gift shop was really nice with lots of books & other things of real interests.
It's a wonderful place to take your family or friends when they come to visit. We totally agree anyone would love it.

I called to inquire about a tour of the Tabernacle & spoke with Ruth Ann, one of many extremely kind people! While we were regrettably late, we were welcomed whole heartedly & were even offered a to go meal as they were cleaning up an amazing buffet after church. JR (a very well educated member of the Church) shared the history of & about the Covenant of the Arc and volunteered to take us on a tour of the Beautiful Tabernacle with a handful of others. Never, in all of my 61 years have I met so many folks that were as sincere & kind! If you are near Tarpon Springs or not, I highly recommend a visit! We will be back!!!

Incredible visual presentation, as well as presentation by the train speaker who was able to explain all of the parts of the Tabernacle and their purposes according to scripture. Crowds were handled well, and the tour was done in a very appropriate amount of time.

Great experience! I learned a lot. Mike was our tour guide and he was super-knowledgeable. It took about 2hrs to go through the Tabernacle. I wanted to go through the Bible museum as well, but was a bit pressed for time. I'll be back!

The best "Church" I've attended in the Bay Area. I put Church in quotes because they call it a teaching center! There all all different denominations of Christianity that come together every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. They do praise and Worship to the Lord. After having a message, a special pastor, or a Great Teaching from the Irish Preacher Leslie Hale On top of this, it's a museum of the most beautiful old Bibles ever found on earth. Plus they have a life-size replica built to the exact dimensions, commanded in the bible of the great Tabernacle in the Wilderness. Where God dwelled with His people. They offer tours after the service and food and fellowship in the dining hall. It's an amazing building truly run by the most loving, compassionate group of people.

The Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center is a center that features a variety of live performances, including music concerts, classical music concerts, opera and theatrical productions. The center is great for guests to attend and be impressed by the ceremony as well as the hospitality of the mayor and all of the local people.
We visited the place fot the twinning ceremony between the municipality of Chania from Greece and the local municipality. We were impressed of the ceremony and the hospitality of mayor mr Alahouzos and all the local people.

Nice and clean theater.
Seats are well padded and comfortable, but do not rock. Seats are not wide. The heavy set lady next to me seemed squeezed on both sides in her seat. The seat arms are skinny and wooden.
Theater acoustics are great. The stage is raised four feet and is huge, about the same size as the seating area. In front of the stage is a bit of an orchestra area, not sunken. Floor is carpeted, so no food is allowed and only water is allowed to drink. No food or drinks are sold. I saw some films there and the screen was big, but it was at the back of the stage which seemed to far away.
Chip Irons — Google review
We enjoy this venue, and are amazed by the variety of shows that are presented. With limited access to lighting techniques, special effects, staging and, sometimes, real talent, this live theater is always enjoyable. With convenient free parking and access, this homey, warm, nostalgic setting is just the right setting for a fun night out without demanding the upscale prices and attire of bigger, newer, more glamorous venues. Being transplants from Southern New England, we miss the experience of theatre on Broadway, but this place fits our retirement lifestyle.
