The Patrick Amiot sculpture collection can be found scattered throughout Sebastopol, featuring wacky and oversized lawn ornaments crafted from recycled materials. These creative works of art include a rat hot-rodder, a chaotic waitress, and a witch in mid-flight that are sure to amaze visitors. The junkyard artist behind these sculptures has become a must-see attraction for anyone visiting this charming town.
What a fun place!!!! Got to meet Patrice wife the painter. She was very kind to let show me what she was painting. The are is very unique and personalized. All the neighbors have a statue dedicated to them and matches their personalities. All the are is made of welded junk that Patrick has found. It is really fun to walk down the street and see the art. Every sculpture is well maintained and painted. If you go down the street please don’t drive it blocks the road for neighbors. Park and walk.

》It's called the "Florence Art Walk" and every house pretty much has a sculpture. The Urban junk art sculptures are made by the artist Patrick Amiot and you can find it around Sebastopol in California! Patrick Amiot takes junk and discards and makes sculptures amusing enough to the locals that they haven't tossed them back into the trash!Have you done this nutty fun art walk? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
It was pretty fun and interesting to walk around and see these sculptures.
Note : You have to park on the street 《

Walk up the street and see sculptures at each neighborhood house on Florence. A real treat.
We keep trying other wineries which are good in their own right, but Lynmar wines consistently taste better than any others… in our opinion, the overall experience is truly remarkable from the beautiful grounds to the impeccable service to the gourmet cuisine. Lyn and Anissa embody passion for this beautiful piece of God-given land. A true blessing…
Brian Scott — Google review
We had a delicious tasting with Pam yesterday. We have been Lynmar members for years and each time we visit we fall more and more in love with it. The Chardonnays, Pinots, and overall experience is second to none. We can't wait to go back again soon.

This was the favorite out of the 10 wineries we visited this trip. The wines were delicious and the view was gorgeous. Customer service was superb and you were made to feel like you were the only ones there. Highlight of our visit was definitely Aaron - friendly, knowledgeable, and definitely easy to look at :) Aaron we should have listened to you and cancelled our other reservations to stay there all day. We will be back!

By far our favorite winery on this Sonoma trip. From the gorgeous gardens to the excellent hospitality, this is a must stop for anyone. Oh and the wine? Fantastic. Every single one we tried was outstanding. We all kept saying this might be the overall best wine tasting experience we’ve had anywhere. We never sign up for the wine clubs and halfway through the tasting, my husband and I looked at each other and said “you’re thinking what I am, right?” Left with a few bottles and can’t wait to get our first shipment this fall (and come back to do a food and wine pairing)!

I've been a member here for 10 years. It's still one of the hidden gems of Sonoma County in my opinion.
High quality wine and more full-bodied Pinot Noirs (which I like). I'm not a Chardonnay fan, but I find theirs to be very good.
Great customer service, beautiful property, and onsite chef (small bites) make it all the better. Highly recommend.

I’ve never actually eaten here, but my brother and his fiancé went and loved it! “It was SO good - I don’t even know what all the flavors were but it was dynamic and perfectly cooked!” The wine pairing was beautifully paired too!

I would give it 6 stars if I could. What a wonderful experience. The place and view ... breathtaking (have to admit, that the amazing weather was also a key factor). The food ... delicious ... the chef could run a high-end restaurant. The wine ... great pairing with the food. Tried a few additional and was impressed with some if them.

Exceptional wines served by knowledgeable hospitality staff who are passionate about wine. Beautiful garden and vineyard views that are the perfect setting for wine tasting. If you appreciate well crafted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines made in the traditional Burgundian style, this is the place for you!

Antonio was a phenomenal tasting guide and made us feel very welcome, as well as tailored some wines to his interpretation of our tastes! The grounds itself were gorgeous as well. Absolutely looking forward to returning

Had an amazing time here with my husband. The wines were good & service was fantastic but the best part was the beautiful gardens where they grew both flowers and fruit/veggies. They encouraged us to take our wine, walk through the grounds, and enjoy the strawberries and cherry tomatoes that were abundant in the garden. I'd absolutely recommend stopping here!

Why it took me a year and a half to write this review will always be a mystery, COVID perhaps? In any case I will say that my girlfriend and I are not Pinots fans but we love Chards. We arrive to this winery as the first stop in Sonoma after a full week in Paradise-Napa (staying at Paloma Vineyard).
Andrew Lynch was our server and he was super accommodating and friendly, we started with some of their Chardonnays which we really liked, then we moved to the Pinots that we found a bid acidic, which translate to a good aging potential and we also had something to eat that I cannot recall now. The whole experience was super good, the place is beautiful, and the facility is modern with a comfortable setup and nice views.
We bought a couple of bottle of an older vintage of their top Chardonnay and it turn out they weren’t as good as the current releases. Just a side note! Enjoy Lynmar Estate and ask for Andrew Lynch.
Dutton-Goldfield Winery is a renowned winery in the Graton area, known for its exceptional chardonnays and pinots. Founded by Dan Goldfield, who previously developed a wine-making program at Hartford Court, the winery offers a pet-friendly tasting room where visitors can enjoy their exquisite wines.
I was in town for a local cycling event. Came in a day early to do some wine tasting. I wanted to learn more about DG's stellar chardonnays. Jason re-organized my tasting flight to focus just on chardonnays. He showcased 2 different 2019s, to highlight the differences of the vineyards. He then went back and pulled out the same 2 vineyards for 10 years prior to highlight differences of the vintage and aging. This was a fantastic 2x2 design of experiments with all 4 glasses there are the same time.

Pinot noir specialists with a fantastic team and a very storied history. Look out for the Emerald Ridge and Redwood Ridge Pinot Noirs, but the ultimate sleeper is the Zinfandel...a very pinot-lover's zinfandel. Try it to believe. Would highly recommend!

Greeted by our hostess with "is your dog people friendly? Because we can't have him barking or whining and disturbing other guests". Not the best way to start out and it went downhill from there.
This was my second visit. I brought my dog both times. No issues the first time. Friendly host and I enjoyed the wine during that visit which is why I decided to bring friends from out of town. We arrived separately to the patio and when my dog saw them, he squealed with excitement so we moved back to the parking area to continue our greeting. That was the only noise my dog made the entire time we were there. But the hostess felt it warranted an admonishment before even saying hello. Then she proceeded to provide us with long drawn out details of her life at every pour making it difficult for us to enjoy any conversation, much less the wines. I wish we had just walked out immediately after her "greeting".
We visited many more wineries over the weekend. All good service and exceptionally dog friendly. I wouldn't visit this one again.

The staff was able to accommodate a last minute party size change pretty easily. We did the wine and cheese pairing, and it is very hard to overstate how excellent the wines and cheeses were. It was everything I imagined a wine and cheese tasting experience could be. The space (both outdoor seating and the tasting room inside) is beautiful, too.
Special shout out to Barbara who did a wonderful job guiding our group through the wine and cheese pairing!

We had our first genuine wine tasting here and we are hooked. Jason did an incredible job helping us understand how to taste and enjoy wine and we sampled some really amazing bottles. Friendly vibe and nicely appointed tasting room but the bottomline is the wines were incredible, definitely our favorite out of 8 Sonoma tastings. A true "top flight" experience.

Merry Edwards Winery is renowned for producing exceptional Pinot Noir wines in the Russian River Valley, which is recognized as the center of great Pinot Noir. Their wines have excellent body and tone, with a distinctive palate that leaves a lasting impression. Highest compliments for a most memorable tasting afternoon of ethereal wines presented by Max Reed, who is simply one of the very best winery hosts we've ever experienced in all our decades of global wine tasting. He was absolutely fantastic with his attention to detail, ability to answer every wine question, wonderful energy, generosity, and professional capability. We enjoyed such a leisurely and informative tasting due to his flawless pacing, attentiveness, product knowledge, and responsiveness. His superior hospitality enhanced the entire wine tasting experience and gave us an even deeper appreciation for all the stellar wines at Merry Edwards. We purchased current releases and library wines based on his most helpful vintage recommendations. Our group consisted of long time wine industry veterans and Max just astounded us with his gold standard of exceptional hospitality.
We've been visiting Merry Edwards for decades and Max was the absolute best host we've ever had. He has our very highest recommendation and we sincerely hope that all wine lovers will visit Merry Edwards to experience his level of service. Cheers to Max and the entire Merry Edwards Winery team!

We love the wine. But the customer service is really lacking. I am really torn- I get an email selling their thanksgiving trio. Three bottles that pair nicely with common thanksgiving dishes. What a great gift. The wine comes packaged as I would expect wine to come. Nothing special a bit disappointed ad the email photo had a nice presentation. I don’t think much of it. I give the gift last night, thanksgiving is tomorrow and in my doorstep today is the awesome wooden box. Well that sucks! I call to give feedback and Patty basically blames it on fedex. Come on isn’t this what you do? Ship wine all over the country? I mean maybe a 1:2 and 2:2 on the labels or I know, let your customers know when the order it!!!!

While the wines tasted were excellent, the experience was enhanced by the bold approach of pouring wines from different appellations side-by-side for meaningful comparison purposes. Also ... I was very pleased that the tastings were served in proper glasses for the variety served. Well done Merry Edwards!

We (group of 6 gals) visited at a 10am tasting time and the place was already in full swing. The location is gorgeous and Sarah was the sweetest hostess. Super knowledgeable and fun to hang out with for the few hours we were there. I'm not the biggest Pinot fan, but it was interesting to taste the differences in Pinots and appreciate the different styles they come in, My fave, only because of me was the bubbles. Would definitely visit again and hope that Sarah is available to host.

Home of the Russian River Valley’s best pinot noir. Charming winery with knowledgeable and down to earth staff. Much more humble vibe than Napa. Simple grounds with amazing wine. I know it’s individual palate but their wine has excellent tone and body. Is it just me? Or the sweet aroma of caramel stays forever in the glass that I ended up sniffing the empty wine glass while sitting there.
Love the Sauvignon blanc.
The Paul Hobbs experience is a home run! So intimate and inviting, the experience is without a doubt stellar! Tyson set up our reservation and was super personable and interested in our visit. EJ was an incredible host! In the know about everything PH and the wine world, having been in the industry for some time...an absolute gracious and generous host. This is one of the best winery tastings I have ever had! This is not a place you just drive up to and expect a tasting. This is a wine experience!!
The vineyards are spectacular. You can see that they take great care in everything that they do! The wine is absolutely amazing. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon were some of the best I have had, and I have tasted many wines, and visited almost 200 wineries.
The wine manufacturing facilities are awesome. It was great to see the process. I found our host to be very knowledgeable and personable!
I recommend making a reservation here and enjoying everything they have to offer!

Really loved the intimacy of the tasting experience here. My only knock- and why I deducted a star- the cheeses were only sheep and goat based. If that’s not your thing, it’s a bit of a miss- a single cows milk cheese being available would have been excellent.

Their entry level wines are good, but not the attraction. The upper level cabs are truly amazing, though very expensive. If your price point includes $300+ bottles then it's a must stop. You'll learn a ton about the wines, the area and the history of both during the tasting.

The wine tasting at the world renowned Paul Hobbs Winery is by appointment only with a standard fee of $45 a person. This is definitely something for those who feel that they are refined wine connoisseurs. How we did one of their tastings is way beyond any sound reasoning.
However, we did one of their wine tastings to know how high to set the "bar" (so to speak)
A rather unique experience for us and the tasting was done with about six in our party and two others that appeared to belong at the table.
The hostess carefully explained the various wines that we tasted and showed us the price lists.

We first had the pleasure of tasting Paul Hobbs wines at the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Festival. We liked the wine so much that it was a must visit on our recent trip. We made sure to do our research and had a reservation given that Covid and recent fires have created so many restrictions. Our group of 6 was warmly greeted by our host and seated in a beautiful courtyard area. What happened next left us wanting to spend the rest of the day enjoying the delicious vintages. We thoroughly enjoyed the history and learning about the many ventures Paul Hobbs as a renowned wine maker now has in other countries. Every vintage was well received and each glass made us look forward to tasting the next varietal. As wine tastings go, this was easy going, comfortable, and reasonable. We look forward to receiving a shipment in the near future as well as a return visit!
Addendum - we have had the pleasure of trying some additional Paul Hobbs inspired creations - Alvaredos-Hobbs from Galicia, Spain had a wonderful white Godello and red Mencía. Next up will be a shipment arriving this week from Yacoubian-Hobbs in Armenia. This fall will take us to the Finger Lakes region of New York where we look forward to enjoying Hillick & Hobbs Seneca Lake Riesling. Spring next year brings us to Viña Cobos in Mendoza which should be quite a treat. Paul Hobbs' artistry in crafting his wine is both unique and amazing. Wines are quite expensive to craft at this level and many are special occasion vintages.

The Barlow is a trendy retail destination that boasts fashionable stores, gourmet dining options and outdoor seating areas. This industrial-chic shopping site also features a wine bar called Region where visitors can try out 50 different wines from 25 producers in Sonoma County. In addition to the shopping and dining experiences, there are occasional market events taking place at The Barlow, though kids' clothing could be added to the offerings.
I had no idea The Barlow district even existed until one day last year we accidentally drove up on it. It's a beautiful area with several repurposed farm storehouses lining the main road. We've now gone back a couple of times and the storefronts seem to be increasing each visit. For those of you who aren't in the know, The Barlow is a 12 acre outdoor market district where you can find local food, wine, beer various retail stores - all local to Sonoma.
I've been to a couple of the restaurants (The Farmers Wife and Acre Pizza), the coffee shop (Taylor Lane), and a brewery (Crooked Goat), and all were excellent. Parking is plentiful (at least when I've been there) and free (but keep it to 2 hours).
I see they are now offering tasting tours around the district which I think would be excellent and give you a mouth watering sampling of what the district offers. For sure visit The Barlow next time you pass through Sebastopol and be sure to arrive thirsty and with an empty stomach.

The Barlow is the best thing to happen to Sebastopol since apples! There is so much fun stuff here and so much amazing food. Several breweries, one distillery, a few wine tasting rooms, including a self-serve wine tasting place that can get out of hand real quick. There is a great cider room too, but they will close early to accommodate their employees' social lives. Seen it happen.

This district is very cool - wish we'd timed our visit better to see more of the shops open, and that it was better populated. But we really enjoyed the places we stopped - Golden State Cider, Region Wine Bar, Acre Pizza, Fern Bar, and just walking around the area.

We found the bakery, market , coffee shop, and Lots more to discover. ... Sebastopol feels a little like Sag Harbor on Long Island With out the Long Island Sound of course. But the shops food and homes all make for a really neat place to check out... THE TRAFFIC.... I would ask why but their is no other place to put the cars.... Wait make parking lots out side of the town center and offer only bikes to use. and make them a share a bike type deal where you just pick out out and leave it at your next stop and have to find another bike to get back to your beginning place.

This is a really fun place to visit; a great tourist destination. Sebastopol has long been regarded as a haven for aspiring artists, and the crafts displayed here are quite unique and of high quality. There are plenty of places to eat and wander around while you eat your ice cream. Plenty of free parking. Given only 4 stars because the buildings are old and the crafts are sometimes expensive. Still, the shop owners have made it a welcoming and enjoyable place to take in the beauty of their stores.

I love this place. Very gentle hiking and beautiful views, with lots of different available activities. Exercise posts along a trail, picnic benches, volleyball, a playground, a big field... it's great. Plus there are plenty of water fountains and bathrooms!
Just watch out for some of the patrons. People aren't always good about keeping their dogs on leashes or watching their kids. Also I was chastised by a leathery nature woman for being on my phone (I was reviewing pictures I just took of my dog). It's a great place but it can be a little hard to find peace.

Visit while driving through Sebastopol. The park has a soccer field, tennis courts, playground, and a large off leash for area. The dog area has water available for pups and a few benches to sit in. The dog area also has a couple agility items. There are designated small dog hours but we stopped in around noon since my dog is comfortable playing with larger dogs. Be prepared to pay $7.00 if you drive.

One of my favorite dog parks on Sonoma County. Little dog hours are 11-12 and 3-4. The dog park is huge and great for running!

Nice place to take a walk if you don't have a lot of time. The Blackberry trail makes a mile loop around the park. This park is an excellent place for a picnic, playing volleyball, soccer, or tennis. It has playgrounds for younger kids. Full of old oaks.
Such a great experience and great staff who I learned a lot from! Really great vibe - the outdoor seating is so lovely and I would love to go back in the spring/summer!

Visit Emeritus Vineyards for one of the top tasting experiences and don’t miss the tour of the vineyard. Producer of award winning Pinot Noir wine, the headquarters is the Hallberg Ranch in the Green Valley region of the famed Russian River Valley.

Winery feels very corporate. The gentleman that was there for our tasting on 1/29/22 seemed just as disinterested in us as he did the wine. After our tasting, my g.f. ordered 2 bottles to go. Realized after ordering them that the price of the 2 bottles was150 dollars, and theb we were still charged 30 dollars for the tasting. We didn't want to stop here but saw that they had a charger for our car, so took a chance. On top of a bad experience, we then found out that the charger is only set to charge our car for 15 miles of travel. Will never go back again.

I had a great time at the wine tasting! The staff was very friendly, and I loved how many different types of wines they had. Plus it's in an amazing location overlooking vineyards
The Emeritus winery is one that will definitely be on my list for future trips!

Great winery in Sebastopol - with an indoor / outdoor tasting room arrangement. All of their wines are Pinot based, but they make everything from Whites to Roses to traditional Pinot Noir reds with those grapes. Very pleasant experience with knowledgeable staff. The entire place - including estate tours - is dog friendly. Worth a visit!

We stopped into Emeritus from recommendations from other winemakers we were members with. It was at the end of the day hoping we could try a few selections. As we walked in, we were greeted with "do you have a reservation and our you a member". I said no we aren't members and don't have a reservation, but we were hoping to taste your wines because friends of ours and winemakers have recommended you. The Manager was very rude about it all and an associate stepped in and said they would gladly help us. After just a couple of tastes we were hooked. We proceeded to join the wine club, but that same Manager then refused to comp our tastings because we weren't taking immediate delivery of our wine. Well we had just received numerous shipments in the fall allocations and quite frankly were interested in getting our shipment with the first shipping in February. This was a complete turn off to me, about this winery and the Management. We gave them a full application with our CC number and full intentions of becoming a long term member as I am with Hartford, Siduri, Joseph Jewell etc. Our associate helping us was very helpful and also felt this wasn't right either. Things like this turn you sour on a winery, and it is because of the attitude of the Manager. They represent the Owners and that is what they are representing. Her reasoning for not serving us was "she was slammed". I never saw her get up once the whole time we were there. It just is poor customer service, in an industry predicated on people spending a premium for a premium product. When we checked out she never said thank you or we appreciate your business, just a very stand- offish look and pure contempt. I even complimented the wine and facility. But my impression of this winery is not the wine it is the attitude of this person and their contempt for our business.

Highly recommend stopping at this winery, I enjoyed all the wines we tasted! The patio and landscaping are amazing. I could see sitting and having a glass.

My husband and I had a wonderful visit. The fall scenery is beautiful, the wines were all amazingly tasty, and the weather was perfect. We were not at all rushed. Thank you to our server Glen who took very good care of us!
Joe Rodota Trail is a well-maintained and popular hiking, biking, and running trail in historic downtown Santa Rosa. The trail connects to the Santa Rosa trial rode bike from downtown Santa Rosa to the Barlow in Sebastopol.
Great trail to ride your bike, walk, and run. Trial connects to the Santa Rosa trial rode my bike from downtown Santa Rosa to the Barlow in Sebastopol. Always multiple people out. There are some unique people on the trail everyone is polite and stay to themselves. No lights on the path or public restrooms.

It's a nice trail for a few miles from the Sebastopol side. After Fulton road it becomes all garbage and a homeless folks base with all consequences. It's not safe from multiple prospectives. I would say avoid the other half of the trail, from Santa Rosa side.

Great place to catch HIV, keep an eye on your dog's on account I've found 2 bags of drugs on the ground in less then a week. Good place to pay attention to your surroundings. If you own a gun I'd advise bringing it when walking this path. If you like dirty needles this is the place for you! Maybe you would like a tutorial on how to smoke meth, this place provides people with an educational experience of watching people fussing around and finding out. Keep in mind for every homeless person is 80k a year in tax payers money on clean up of emcampments. Count the homeless people and do the math.

There used to be a railroad line that ran from Sebastopol to Santa Rosa. Parts of the paved Joe Rodota trail follow the the same route as this piece of history. Behind the Gravenstein Station Market Place, a trail takes you past the Elderberry Commons to the part of the Joe Rodota trail that is my starting point. Going left towards Santa Rosa, my walk generally takes me about a mile into the trail before I turn back. The trail will take you all the way to Santa Rosa.Trees line the route as well as agricultural ranches. It is very low impact with a very calming atmosphere. Bicycles are very popular for people of all ages. It's also a great place to walk your dog. I see a lot of people from more mature generations enjoying this trail. The spring offers bursts of color from wildflowers. I have observed catapillars dropping from the trees here once in a magnificent display of nature. Off and on homeless encampments have been an issue on the Santa Rosa end of the trail, but this part of the trail has retained its natural beauty and is safe and ready to be enjoyed.

We ride this trail to Sebastopol a couple times a week. It's kept clean and maintained well. It's also a beautiful trail with benches along the way to stop and enjoy a snack or have a quiet conversation. It can get busy so be sure to be safe on the trail.

A lovely lengthy trail starting in downtown Santa Rosa all the way to Sebastopol. Granted there are a few sketchy stretches due to the homeless population. But by in large a very nice walk or bike ride.
Furthermore is a favorite of ours, pinots are awesome, the team working there are sweet and knowledgeable and explain their wines. They are generous with their pours and will offer to return to any wine you want to try again. They are dog friendly, even bringing out water dishes and treats! They have plenty of outdoor seating under the gigantic redwood and umbrellas and they have bocce ball too. We’ve been members for a long time and enjoy every visit.

Decent wines in an adequate tasting room. There are better options nearby like Emeritus that have both much better wines and a better tasting room for a similar tasting price (though Emeritus purchase prices on their wines are a notch higher). Overall, I wouldn't recommend stopping here when there are so many better options close by.

Really awesome winery! Cindi was extremely helpful and attentive. They even have a relaxing area outside where you can check out their giant Sequoia and bocce ball court! We were able to walk around and check out the small grapes and Cindi even recommended an awesome seafood place for us to check out on our travels! Highly recommend Furthermore for their tasty wines!

We loved this winery. The Pinots were great, and the Chardonnay was also surprisingly great (I am usually not a fan of Chardonnay). However what really stood out was the service. The guy working there and the owner were super nice, spent time explaining us everything about the wines and didn’t rush us. We got food in a market 2 minutes away and spent a lovely afternoon in the patio. We will definitely come back!

Had a great tasting. We were the only ones there and had a very pleasant conversation over the tasting with the manager. Didn’t have a wine I didn’t like(as if that’s a thing anyway).Took a few home and the tasting was covered. Not the most visually appealing winery and not family owned but still a good experience with great wines.

This is a fantastic winery to visit. They have a fun staff. Reefe is a fantastic host with terrific recipes to match with the wines you taste. I would recommend asking for the alchemy wine if you love reds. I plan to visit every time I'm in California. Fabulous experience!!

Wine is honestly delicious. But the pours are exceptionally stingy for a $6 per tiny pour. The live music is a nice touch but inconsistent. The staff pouring knows next to nothing. Different between differing vineyard or pinots or even their $90 blend, had no idea what was in it. Seems most interested in you just dropping cash and get in and get out.
Nice atmosphere, but very disappointed. Turned out to be a $30 glass of wine split between 5 tastings.
Good multi-use performance space. All sight lines are good, the area is high and open, but smaller - seats approx 100 max. Acoustics (natural and amplified) were distortion and echo free. Staff is helpful, professional, and friendly.

Go and visit! Don’t overthink it. Red Car is that good!
We booked one of Red Car’s wine tasting experiences, the one that includes a tour around their fields. We were lucky enough to taste some of their wines during our walk, and we even had a nice end-of-afternoon wine tasting at their cool room topped with some delicious cheese.
Special thanks to Brady, who took extremely well care of us, assuring we had a great time. And we did. So much that, here I am, December 2019, purchasing some of their wines for my Christmas presents. Such a memorable Pinot Noir!

We were a party of 5 and were hosted in the VIP room, and elegant and comfortable setting. Five wines were poured and each is a winner. The cab, however, is the unanimous fave of the group. Our host was great fun, engaging with a deep knowledge of all aspects of winemaking. Do yourself a favor and visit Red Car.

They sell very average product but priced as premium but the 1 star comes mostly from the horrible experience. The general manager Jesse is one of the worst professionals i ever me in my life. Maybe consider a change of career where you don't have to interact with people.

All of the wines were really good, but the 2019 rose was absolutely delicious! The winemaker, Tanner, led us through our tasting experience and made us feel like we had been longtime friends. We could have hung out with him all day. If you’re in Sebastopol, you don’t want to miss Red Car!

Passing thru the area one afternoon late and decided to stop at Red Car for a tasting. Wines we tasted were ok and purchased a couple of wines. Should of noticed they charged for the tasting as well as their high price for buying at the tasting room, but did not. LAST TIME WE STOP AT RED CAR WINERY. Furthermore Wines up the road much better
Kosta Browne had a beautiful facility! Chip was our sommelier/guide for the tour and tasting, and his knowledge was very extensive. My wife and I had a great time learning a lot, while sampling some excellent wine!

Kosta Browne has been our favorite wine membership for years, but we only recently made our first visit. My husband and I have been to wineries all over the state and beyond and both agreed this was our best tasting experience yet. It was special to be invited to taste here by a friend. The three of us were greeted by Blaze upon arrival, who welcomes us with a glass of champagne. We were the last tasting of the day and I appreciate how we did not feel rushed. Blaze showed us around the facilities and gave us a tour. I love love love learning about how things, so I tend to ask a lot of questions. Blaze was awesome and answered our questions.
After the tour, we sat at the tasting room ( I believe there are 4) with the beautiful kitchen. It was great to learn about the wines produced on site. The wine was great. If you have a chance to go, would highly recommend.

Oh, Kosta Browne, why are you so damn delicious? I've recently discovered Kosta Browne and you can't just get this wine anywhere in a restaurant. They're pretty selective with their restaurants. I'm not really a Pinot Noir lover, but theirs are just ON POINT. Highly recommend!
Jay Elle — Google review
Kosta Browne Wines are exceptional! Wine production is very limited as Kosta Browne is focused on delivering the very best Pinots: flavorful, intense, and balanced.
Three interesting notes about Kosta Browne:
* Kosta Browne wines are carried in only the very best restaurants across the US, many of them Michelin starred establishments.
* The winery is not open to the public. Only members are allowed private wine tastings, tours and wine allotments.
* Wine membership is very unique. You don't just sign up and within a month start getting a shipment of selected wines on a quarterly basis. The Kosta Browne wine membership list has a 2-4 year waiting list!
A group of friends and I did a private wine tour and tasting with Russell Batt in June 2014. Amazing experience! We tasted 3 bottles and also sampled a handful of wines directly from the barrels. The overall vibe was laid back and comfortable. It was as if we were just enjoying wine in Russell's very own house. It was perfect.
We learned a quite a bit about Kosta Browne:
1. How Dan Kosta and Michael Browne humbly started their wine business by saving tip money!
2. The Kosta Browne wine making process
3. Kosta Browne's three appellation wines: Sonoma Coast, Russian River and Santa Lucia Highlands.
As we concluded our private event, I just wanted to immediately buy a few bottles of wine! Again, Kosta Browne doesn't sell any wines at the wine tour. No gift shop, either. I left feeling helplessly craving more Kosta Browne wine.
Grapes and terroir help distinguish good wine from great wines but I’ve always been a believer that it’s also about the employees. Great employees like Joyelle Finn and Russell Batt combined with great wines create the Kosta Browne experience. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Hope to meet Dan Kosta and Michael Browne in the near future or have an opportunity to invest in Kosta Browne!

Tucked away on a typical west Sonoma county road is Freeman winery. The driveway dips down to an open area with lovely garden areas. The wine cave is the main feature and where tastings are traditionally held. I won’t spoil too much, you just have to book yourself.

For $75 per person, I expected at least a chair to sit down for tasting. As we were ushered into a cellar, we saw a group of people seated outdoor with a nice view and a heat lamp above them for tasting. Meanwhile we were brought into a chilly and dark cellar room with wine bottles lined up on a metal table. We went through all the tasting pretty quick since it was NOT a relaxing environment. If you love Pinot, I think they have decent choices. However not enough to rock my world and not as good as Donum’s Pinot. I would not go back there again. This is not a criticism of their wine. It is more about the overpriced and under delivered tasting experience. We were cold and miserable. It felt like work and not pleasure. Not even a tiny slice of cheese came with the tasting or a stool to sit down for the hefty price for the area. After all this not Napa. When I visit a winery, it’s not just about wine. It’s more about the whole experience. That is why I pay more to taste wine from the winery itself. Otherwise, I might as well go to a wine bar.

As we were heading out, we got a chance to talk more in depth with Rosalind, the owner, and we really enjoyed our conversation. My friend and I each bought a bottle of the rose (it's fantastic!) and my friend also purchased one of the chardonnays we tried (also so good!). With a bottle purchase, your tasting fee is waived and now I have a lovely bottle of wine to enjoy at home. Win win. Truly lovely winery. Intimate patio with amazing views of the hills and vineyards. Incredibly kind staff and a real Frenchman making the wine! They even brought out building blocks and a coloring book for our children. As for the wine, it was really wonderful. Nice rose for a summer evening, two very good whites and two different reds.
