Stones River National Battlefield is a 570-acre park and cemetery that features well-marked trails and a visitor center, which provides information about the Civil War battlefield. The visitor center was designed to teach visitors about the site's history while remaining respectful towards fallen soldiers and apolitical. The National Park Service did an excellent job of presenting the information without bias towards any side of the battle - there was no mention of which party emerged victorious.
A very nice day for a visit. The driving tour is great, but it is walkable and great for bicycles. Something for everyone of all ages. Sites are well marked and easy to find. There is a self guided audio tour which is very helpful. Also very sobering to think of the number of casualties. You can spend as little or as long as you like exploring the park. Download the National Park Service app before you go.

Really great national historic site with a lot of intentionality put into capturing the history and events that took place. A few monuments that you were able to go see (accessible by walking) definitely add to the experience. This is a park that enables you to stop by on a day trip to Murfreesboro and is generally accessible by car. There’s pretty great biking infrastructure, and a visitor center that allows visitors to walk through a chronological record of “Hell’s Half Acre”

Well designed visitor center that allows you to learn about the site and battle while also remaining respectful to the fallen soldiers and remaining apolitical. The NPS did a nice job of presenting this without a prejudice for one side being better or worse--specifically I didn't recall seeing any information on which side won the battle.
It's about 8 minutes from the interstate and you can enjoy the full visitor center experience in as little as 30 minutes.

If you are looking for a outing with the family or just want to get out and learn about the civil war and the struggles these men went through. This place is one of the largest battles and most causalities occurred in a short three day period. It’s humbling to walk amongst the soldiers graves and see the many that gave their lives during the battle.
They have a guided tour you can take or you can go in your vehicle and drive among the trail to the actual battlefield places.Such a great trip for learning and seeing what they went through.

We are always pursuing more passport stamps! My kids enjoyed the Visitor Center and the drive through the battleground and past the Stone River National Cemetery. We saw 4 wild turkeys as we drove in and they "talked back" when my girls called to them "Gobble, gobble, gobble!" Junior Ranger activity books are free for kids, and completing one will earn them a badge. We spent some time (and money) in the gift shop... a bird guide, a couple children's books, Christmas ornament, and more stickers to stamp for our forgotten at home passport! Also there was a book for Family Activities. I do recommend as a great place to visit and learn some history and about local wildlife. There is a short educational film that shows reenactments (including head wounds and dead bodies) my girls found this a bit upsetting and said, "I hate wars, they make people die!" In my opinion, that's an excellent take away! I enjoyed the quotes from Ed Abbott.

Just stumbled onto this on our trip as we were making a stop in Murfeesboro and had some downtime to be able to visit this battlefield. Neat little battlefield that is very accessible to walk around, drive to and spend an easy 1-2 hours here tops.
You will not be spending hours and hours here to see everything but for a a battlefield I didn't know exist before visiting, it was worth a little detour to get out and stretch our legs.

This park is awesome. Unfortunately, the history behind it is not, but the presentation of the history and historical facts at the time is just great. It is also horrifying at times to realize what those soldiers went through.
I highly recommend taking in the whole park. It is truly an experience. The slaughter pen is unbelievable, especially when you realize the horrifying battle that occurred there.
The folks at the visitor center were extremely helpful and friendly.
Do not miss out on this park for sure if you are in the area.

This is a battle field during the Civil War. This park you can drive to locations within the park to see certain important locations. You have an option to hear free audio (off your phone from a number you call) of the area you are in. If you enjoy history this can be a nice place to visit.

There has definitely been a lot of work put into this place lately. I haven't gone here since I was a kid on a field trip. There are bike Lanes car Lanes and just beautiful surroundings. We even got to see deer!

I appreciated that it was possible to visit this despite not having a lot of time. I was able to complete the visitor center and 5 of the outdoor sites in about 1.5 hours.
The rock formations in the Slaughter Pen were interesting.

Tucked into a city, this is a great place to see nature. I was surrounded by deer the morning I was there. As far as following the battle, it's not the easiest place to do so. If you have knowledge of the battle then what you see and walk/drive to would make some sense. There are very few plaques and almost no monuments. The visitor center is nice and the rangers there are very knowledgeable. Having the natl. Park app helps to follow along some of the high points that are preserved within the park.

We did the booklets for junior rangers- ages 13-6 and it was fun. The books will be updated to the park for better outlining they stated, as it was a bit all over the place where to find the clues. The staff were super friendly & engaging. We absorbed history & discussed many aspects of war and the struggles as well as that each longed for home. They had audio to listen to writings. The only downfall we had was the field being sprayed where the tombstones were and figuring how to maneuver out without inhaling or getting on shoes. Cross walks have buttons you press to alert passing street to different portions to the park. Very clean bathrooms and great gift shop. Highly recommend the park.

We will have to come back on a warmer day to walk the trails, but the driving tour was fun and perfectly fit the hour of free time we had while in the area. The visitors center was informative and rangers were friendly and helpful.

The visitors center was great! We were greeted with a smile and given a map. We toured the small museum which was very informative and nicely laid out. Nice way to spend an afternoon. While the structures are of olden times, most buildings have been moved here from other places in Tennessee. It was educational to look inside the buildings to see how people lived, worked, and played back yonder. Plenty of parking.

Decided to check out a few places in Murfreesboro ( visiting Tennessee). This place is a nice place to bring kids if your in to history. Period correct buildings, nice vintage tractor display and the staff was friendly and informative. No reenactment while I was here but I understand at times there is. It's free!!! And just across the creek is a nice place to picnic.

Cannonsburgh is so much fun to visit - whether a regular workday or a weekend festival. The pioneer era village is highly detailed and set up to view inside. Usually there are artisans and staff there to explain the equipment and settings. Many beautiful weddings have been held there and every time we have gone we’ve seen some great live music and dancing.

Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is an interactive museum designed for children, featuring exhibits on a variety of subjects including science and culture. Along with indoor experiences, the center also offers outdoor programs and live animal presentations. The museum has something to offer for all interests in the sciences, making it a great resource for STEM education. Visitors can book rooms for group events or attend age-appropriate live science experiments. The train and car sections are particularly popular with young children.
This is an amazing resource for STEM experiences for you and your kids. So much to do, see, touch, hear and learn from in each focus area. Wherever your interests in the sciences lie, you can find something that appeals to you.
If you're planning a group event, there are rooms available to accommodate your needs. The center will even host live science experiments that are age appropriate. How cool is that?

There were tons of things for our 3 year old and 14 year old and maybe even a 34 and 39 years old to do lol. The outdoor area where some of the wildlife are was interesting too. I'd highly recommend.

My 4 year old daughter absolutely LOVES this place! We spend hours here playing around. There’s SO many little things to do, from the art center, to the farmers market. The kitchen is so realistic and teaches children the art of multitasking with cooking, laundry, and taking care of the babies all at the same time. The water table, grocery store and doctors play station always grab her attention. It’s very well managed with helpful staff and is always clean regularly. Thank you for providing such a fun place for the kids!

The water play area inside is really cool. My kid loved it. I'd say about 80% (AT LEAST and that's probably being generous) of the exhibits were broken. The outside water area is really pretty. The staff was pretty friendly for the most part. It was a bit smaller than I expected. I will take my kids back for the water area and maybe the slide (although it isn't super slick if youre wearing jeans), but likely not anything else.

Great place for young kids. My 3 year old loved it and didn't want to leave. My 7 year old finished and got tired of it pretty quickly. Geared more towards kids around 6 and under. Everything seemed clean. I saw someone mopping up the water play area while we were there so it's good to see them actively keeping it clean and dry. Paw patrol exhibit was fun.
Eileen Galiffi — Google review
Very fun place for kids of all ages.
For kids 5 and under, there is a tiny town with little shops and play tasks kids can creatively have fun with. Like, at the post office they have a postal workers safety vest, mail bag and pieces of mail and then there are various mailboxes around the town that the "mail" can be delivered to.
There is a second floor available via stairs or elevator. A large enclosed spiral slide can be used by the children to get back down to the first floor.
There is a small gift shop, no food or beverage options.
Though it was a really fun experience, especially for my 2 year old, it would have been even more impressive if each part of every activity were in working order. It seemed like there was some maintenance needed across the facility to make it an even more magical experience.

We were visiting family in the Boro the day before Thanksgiving. We're from Charlotte, NC. Everyone had recommended Discovery Center for our grandchildren, ages 1.5 and 5. They loved it! The water play area, all the Paw Patrol exhibits, a good diaper-changing area and a nice gift shop. It was our 1st visit here and we will be back. Thank you for the fun! It kept us 2 grandparents on our toes!

This place has the potential to be a great place for kids to learn and explore, but there are lots of things that are broken and all of the things to play with are well used and filthy. It needs a deep clean all over and under. However, I do understand that most children today aren’t taught to take care of things, so this center is probably just a victim of society. An additional note….the staff was reluctant to help when needed.
The Oaklands Mansion is a historical plantation that once housed both Confederate and Union soldiers. Nowadays, it offers visitors the chance to take tours and participate in various activities. The estate boasts stunning grounds with plenty of picturesque shade, making it an ideal location for photography or peaceful strolls. The mansion itself is a beautiful example of architecture from its time period and well worth exploring. Visitors can benefit from the informative guides who are happy to answer any questions and offer the freedom to explore at their own pace.
For years Oakland Mansion has hosted high quality events at their beautiful venue. The staff is always professional and kind. James Manning has also taken great care to tell the history of the site and brought forth the stories and voices of the enslaved persons who lived there.
It is the gem of our downtown area and the perfect place for events, walking or a picnic.

We just had our wedding at Oakland's mansion and it was amazing! Definitely recommend getting married here if you appreciate simple elegance and a historical venue. We fell in love with the beauty of the venue when we first toured it and the reception hall was a perfect size for our smaller guest count. Our wedding was outside on the grounds with the mansion as the backdrop and happy hour was behind the mansion with pretty hanging lights. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. Connor was wonderful to work with, he helped me through the whole process of having our wedding at Oaklands and he answered all my emails so quickly. He also met with me multiple times in person to go over specific wedding details. He has a very calming presence that is much appreciated when you are stressed planning a wedding! Highly recommend choosing this venue, you won't regret it!

I was supposed to have my wedding here. We had set the date and we waiting to put down a deposit this coming week. Until today, when I got a message saying that the venue had been booked for our wedding date the ENTIRE TIME and that it was in fact not going to be available. This was a conversation we had for months and we’re told our date was opened. Not only was I disappointed but I was left with absolutely no backup options. Extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I would definitely ask to see their calendar yourself, because clearly they cannot read it.

Earth Experience - Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History
Earth Experience - Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History is a non-profit organization that exhibits an extensive collection of international and local archaeological finds, fossils, rocks, and minerals. The museum offers an incredible experience for visitors of all ages to explore the world's natural history through its comprehensive display. The gift shop is one of the best seen with plenty to offer. Although it's a short walk around the building to see everything, taking time to read and absorb all exhibits could take a few hours.
Truly a hidden gem, I had a great time ! Lots of cool things to see 😊 it's a small space but don't let that deter you at all, (& they are trying to expand /move? So if you would like to make a donation to them I'm sure they would greatly appreciate it. everyone was super nice and I definitely intend on coming back soon!
And the admission price is low/definitely worth it plus some, in the gift shop too

Wow is all I can say. Amazing I surprised my son with a trip to this hidden gem. He wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up and when I tell you he was all smiles when we got here. I honestly enjoyed it very much as well. We were greeted with kindness and such a warm welcome. I fell in love with the amount of gorgeous Crystals they had displayed. Breathtakingly Gorgeous. The Paleontologist was in the back where the T-Rex was and she yes she 💖 (Girl Power lol) took her time and talked to us for a while and talked to my son about his future dreams of being a paleontologist. It gave him so much hope for his future. It's not many African Americans or women in that industry but seeing her there and all that she has accomplished just warmed his heart. He said, "if a woman can do it then a black kid who loves digging and absolutely loves dinosaurs can do it to Mommy?" I said absolutely son!! It was great even his Dad enjoyed the experience as well. It was amazing.

I took my three small children, ages six and five, to Earth Experience for a day trip of exploring and experiencing history. When we walked in we were greeted kindly by staff. We paid our entrance fees which were very affordable and then a staff member began explaining how the tour would go. She was knowledgeable and friendly. As we began to walk through we were taken by the beautiful collection of historical pieces they have on display. It was awesome. This place is some 'hands-on' so my kiddos enjoyed their experiences even more. There are some amazing pieces from Tennessee. We were greeted by another staff member. He told us about these pieces and had extensive knowledge about every single one. He was outstanding for sure. The coolest part for my children was their T-Rex. It was super cool! It's huge and beautiful. They've got a good souvenir shop as well. My kiddos grabbed something for each hand.
If you're looking for something to do and have time for a day trip this place is a must see. It isn't big but their collection is gorgeous. The staff is fantastic. I will definitely return for another tour and would bring my kids again. I would also recommend to family and friends because natural history museums are great.

Our kids really enjoyed this small museum. The staff was friendly. There are a lot of rocks and minerals and fossils to learn about. Of course, the kids loved the dinosaurs. Overall it was a good experience.
****A heads up to mold sensitive people: there was water damage in this building, so if you are allergic to mold beware. I could smell it when I walked in and there were a few rooms that hit me badly. There were some bad ceiling tiles and carpet areas. If that stuff doesn't affect you, you'll probably love the museum experience.

Great museum with a lof of local exhibits. Yes, it is on the smaller side and yes, it has a lot of casts of fossils but it does not take away from how awesome it is. They have fossils, minerals and a ton of educational points between exhibits.

This place is a hidden gem! We wanted a day trip an hour or so from our location and this sounded interesting. Lots of great information and exhibits. Two adults (myself and my adult daughter - who was fascinated by dinosaurs from an early age) . I would recommend for kids (perhaps age 8 and up) also. The displays contain both authentic bones and fossils along with high quality castings. The resident archeologist was very generous with his time showing us how he removes rock casing from an animal skull. There are also examples of what can be found in Tennessee. Photos shown are at the end of our visit.

We had a small company social here. I had never been but I was impressed. Everything was clean and well organized as you would expect but there were hints of somewhat sarcastic humor in the decor. All in all it was a great place for a company social and definitely a place my husband and I would consider going to just for the fun of it.
I really enjoyed my day there. They were so nice and even invited me to eat with them. I had to write a review because someone wanted to bring race into the reviews a couple below this one. Everything is not about the color of your skin. I was very welcomed by everyone.

This is a very unique, lovely, sacred place. If you also would like to visit just know that you are very welcome! Their gate is open to visitors and they do not judge you for doing so. I spoke to a couple of those working outside and I saw a Monk even working on a tire. Inside the border walls are burials for their families and you will notice everything and anything left for those who have passed on. I drove slowly, and had no music on. My dog and his little girl doggy friend watched out the window without making a sound too. One gentleman was painting a new memorial site. I chose not to photograph him out of respect. I did wave. As long as you show reverence as you would in any cemetery, you are welcome to drive through and see for yourself. If you see someone say hello and if you have a question just ask. People travel from all over the country to visit here apparently. Who knew;)

Very interesting. I went for a festival and there was a lot of interesting food and live music. I will repeat

Definitely visit for Laos New year if you get the chance. It's a beautiful temple and the festival itself is an immersive experience. Fun for the whole family. The children will have a blast. Just be respectful to the temple

Stopped here to look for a field trip during social distancing. It was so pretty.
Beautiful and tasty berries! I highly recommend it. The drive to this farm is also beautiful so enjoy the ride and not just the produce. Follow their Facebook page for updates regarding the U-pick schedule and whether they have pre-picked baskets available for sale. They also have jams and preserves for sale along with fresh eggs, cured and fresh meats, and local honey.
Birjis Mukardamwala — Google review
Good prices and great strawberries! I love that you get to keep the basket too! It’s a great spot for pictures, and it’s just super fun! A full basket like this one will cost you around $20 (it was about 5 lbs of strawberries).

It's my second season coming here to pick strawberries. Nice, clean and well maintained farm. And the strawberries are some of the sweetest that I have picked. Gives me the feeling of being close to nature. I hope that they stay in business and prosper considering all the construction happening in Murfreesboro.

We went there in May 2021 to pick Strawberries and it was an amazing experience for my family n friends. My 2yr old enjoyed picking Strawberries which were delicious btw. Very clean farm, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. 😍 we made lots of jam and shakes from picked Strawberries 🍓

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I bought strawberries to make jam. These strawberries had great flavor. Thank you.

I love this place they have some amazing strawberries the only thing I would change is I'd make a middle row that goes through the strawberry field so you and go down different rows when you don't seam to be liking the row your in.

Stones River Town Centre is an indoor shopping destination that offers a variety of fashion and accessory chains, personal care products, dining options, kids' activities, and movies. It provides a fun and affordable environment for families to spend quality time together. However, the mall tends to get very crowded with no opportunity for social distancing despite mandatory mask wearing. Its offerings include old-school video games, laser tag, skating at $10 per person as well as bowling.
It was a nice mall just a quick stop to pass the time
Candy Sharp — Google review
The mall is listed as open but almost all their stores are closed. Waist of my time. Don’t waist your time here… going to the avenue
Stephany Saravia — Google review
I am extremely dissatisfied with the mall. As a mother I had to change my daughters diaper- in the restaurant I’m in inside of the mall they don’t have a changing table in either bathroom (crab fever) so I choose to go to the malls bathrooms. Well the restrooms in the center of the mall by Kay’s have now been changed to employee only bathroom leaving me to walk to the complete other side of the mall to go to the bathroom. I get to the bathroom by Spencer’s and the changing table is broken I then have to use my leg to support the side so my daughter doesn’t roll off into the floor. This is a place where families go I shouldn’t have to leave a review about how you need changing tables and if you have them they can’t be broken. We can’t change our small baby’s standing up or in mid air. It’s really disappointing.

Dead mall. More empty than open. The few entertainment options are the only thing keeping that place open. Chuck e cheese, strike and spare, cookie store, rinky dink arcade, . I recall Bath and Body Works, Hot topic, Spencer's, Rue 21, Journeys, the"native American store", electronic express, books a million, Dillard's and JC Penney, Crab Fever and Sam's grill are pretty good......
Elizabeth Vaiana — Google review
It has been awhile since I have been at a mall, and this place was a great place to visit. There was very good shops with in the mall also lots of things for kids to have fun doing, I would recommend this place to anyone.
NORM arter — Google review
This mall could be so much nicer if it wasn't neglected. The store selection isn't too bad, with anchors like Dillards, and JC Penny present. There are also modern stores like Hot Topic and Hibbett Sports, plus other mall favs like Off Broadway and Bath and Body Works. It all feels dirty and dingy, and the mall had a very foul smell throughout. There were a good amount of shoppers there on a Sunday afternoon, so I think cleaning it up and adding more desirable retail venues would turn the mall into a hotspot.

App needs lots of work, but thankfully, the employees found a workaround to help us. I had placed an order on the app and even rounded up for the tip. Paid for it in the app, but then the app declined me. But on my debit card account, I could see the charge. This Sonic has to be the best in town. Always proactive and helpful.

Saturday Game day!
For a busy night Service was excellent. Staff was in great spirits.
Food was a step up from most sports bars.
Long lines after 4pm so come early!

Recent additions and improvements have merit a review. There is a bowling alley & arcade.
AMC right next door. Parking is abundant and easy to get to from.

Disappointed that Dillard's and JC Penney close at 8pm on Friday evenings and do not open until 11am. Also need some more Sales Associates at Dillard's. Very displeasing when you have to go and hunt them down for assistance and also to make a purchase. The early closing time makes it hard to get there after work when you get off at 6pm.
Teresa Tarkington — Google review
I love this mall plenty of great stores and restaurants in pretty close proximity to each other about anything that you might want

Had the best time. There was cosmic bowling on Saturday night. We are going back tm to do skating, Lazer tag, and arcade.

Fun , inexpensive family environment but it is very crowded most of the time! Must where mask but of course take off when inside and there is noway to social distance! Old school Video games, laser tag, skating $10 (this is what I go for) and bowling, and there is a bar and snack bar with a nice eating area! Again it gets very crowded but if you find the right time of day its a great place to go with the family!😁
Barfield Crescent Park is a vast 430-acre community park with various amenities for outdoor enthusiasts. It features hiking trails, sports fields, a golf course, and campsites that are available through special arrangements. The park also has playgrounds and baseball diamonds for visitors to enjoy. The paved trails are moderately challenging due to elevation changes, while the dirt trails have some hard elevations and tree roots. Pets are allowed on the walking-only trails.
Very nice little big park. With baseball diamonds a few playgrounds and trails. All have plenty of parking for each. I rate the paved trails a medium only for the elevation change. The dirt trails were also a medium from what I saw with tree roots and likely with some hard elevations. However i did not travel down very far.The park trails are for walking only, pets are welcome. They have weekly programs most of which were free the most of $5 per person this month. Time maybe different I would call before making a trip. Camping is only for special arraignment , so no same day camping.

Fun little park. Partner and I did a short, 1.5 mile hike, which was paved. The end “scenic” location was just a little rock and and falls, but was nice to break up the monotony of the road trip.

Love this park. Plenty of parking, dog friendly, huge trails, a river, a forest, Frisbee golf course, some sports stuff. Just a no-frills, huge nature park with all the right accomodations and nothing that gets in the way. There are some nice pavilions too for cookouts or potlucks.
Be advised that the park is only open during daylight hours. Between sunset and sunrise it is closed.

Amazing place for everyday hikes or a casual walk. Has places to do sports also. Just stop by and enjoy your time in nature with your loved ones

The park is nice, but it's extremely over crowded. Maybe it's because we went on one of the first warmer days of the year. However, the equipment is new and up to date and the flooring is nice and soft for the kids to play on. There is also some workout equipment for those avid fitness gurus. 💪

BCP is a great little spot in town. The park has a quaint nature center and diverse flora encompasses a variety of trails including a loop, mtb trails and my personal favorite the rocky path loop! When I want a good walk/mini hike without traveling far this is a go-to spot! Definitely worth checking out..

This park is very big with many things to do for the whole family! There are hiking, biking and walking (paved paths) for all levels. The trees have just about lost all their leaves, but still very beautiful! The river was pretty dried up and we could walk quite a distance on the bed. Beautiful!!!

Center for the Arts is a community venue and art gallery which showcases exhibits, music, dance and theatrical events in a historical building constructed in 1909. The theater presents high-quality productions with excellent casting that are far better than expected. Visitors can enjoy entertaining shows like Beauty and the Beast or comedic performances such as Nuncracker at reasonable ticket prices. This exciting place is perfect for families looking for fun entertainment options while adding CFTA to their regular date night plans.
Well done!! Fantastic performance of Elf, The Musical!! Nice art display in the lobby with the artist.

I did a theater camp there when I was going into sixth grade and it seems like they won't give very big parts to the newbies. This was my first show I had ever done and I was nervous but confident that I could get a average sized part at least. They gave me ensemble. Which is ok but it kinda felt like a slap to the face because they casted all of the talented older kids as the leads without giving the young actors any chances to prove to them that they could handle it.
Breanna Jernigan — Google review
What a fun and exciting place to take the family. We went and watched the Nuncracker! We thought it was going to be the Nuncracker but we missed read the sign. It was hilarious! The cast was great and we had a great time! Ticket prices are very reasonable also.

Love the hometown feel of this historic venue! From post office, to library, to its current incarnation as an arts center, it's a cozy, intimate setting in the heart of the 'Boro. (That's Murfreesboro, to the uninitiated) 😉
It was our first visit and our first theater production. We thoroughly enjoyed "The Savannah Sipping Society" and look forward to seeing even more locally produced and directed shows.

CONNIE SCHULTZ — Google review
The play was extremely well done. The seats are very close together with very little room to walk . The snacks prices have gone up 300 to 400 %. It was so good to be in a group watching art again after almost 2 years, the minor inconveniences were just that, minor.
The Avenue Murfreesboro is a sprawling shopping complex with well-manicured pathways, ample parking spaces and diverse dining options. Unlike traditional enclosed malls, it does not attract large groups of young people or homeless individuals. The shopping center has an extensive selection of stores catering to a wide range of customers, making it an enjoyable destination for all. During late November, the trees on the property adorned beautiful yellow and orange leaves which added to its ambiance as a perfect Thanksgiving/Black Friday shopping spot.
I love the great outdoors. And shopping. The avenue is so great for both. And unlike The Providence in Lebanon, I don't feel like I have to dodge traffic whenever I want to go to a different store. Friendly retail here too.
Jason Michael — Google review
The trees here still had beautiful orange and yellow leaves when it seemed that nowhere else in the state had any leaves left! In late November that is quite a nice surprise!! The ambiance was perfect for Thanksgiving/Black Friday stroll and shop.

The Avenue was much needed when Murfreesboro added it. Fantastic selection of stores. The layout of the mall is very well done. I lived in Murfreesboro for over 4 decades so it's not to visit familiar places when I return.

Went shopping with my niece for prom accessories was able to find everything she needed It was a lot of different stores and locations We shopped for shoes handbags makeup jewelry and made all of our purchases in one day I love the convenient locations The only complaint I would have is I tried to find a Sprite and unfortunately cannot find a Sprite in any of the stores so definitely bring you some water or your preferred beverage when shopping

I like the Avenue Mall ,I like taking my daughter to the Avenue Mall. Unlike the malls of yesterday this is not enclosed. It does not provide a hangout for youngsters or homeless people. The Avenue has a huge variety of shopping for everyone as well as some great places to eat. It's always fun to go to.
WD Murray — Google review
I don't love all of the traffic, but it's a nice selection of retail shops, restaurants, bars, a gym, etc. Some areas are poorly setup for traffic, but it's a decent shopping area. Usually not impossible to find decent parking, so that's a plus.

It was our first time eating here. I've always heard how good it was from my daughter. We were looking for something different to try and we thought we'd try it out. We were very pleased with the food. Everything was hot and delicious. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my husband got the shrimp alfredo.

Went to dollar general. It's one of the cleanest ones I have ever been to!! The employees were helpful and knew where the items I was looking for were located in the store. Made my shopping much faster than searching for stuff. I would stop here again.
Kim Thompson — Google review
Some great shops but the whole experience turns very sour when nearly every time I visit there's a major theft or some idiot in an oversized truck with a train horn or loudspeaker wantonly craving attention. I've seen all three regularly. Where are the police? It seems lawless and unsafe at times. I wouldn't bring my children here. The city desperately needs to do something about this problem.

Sidewalks, walk ways and fronts of stores were very clean. Large area to keep clean and they seem to do it very well. I was impressed as to how clean the area was maintained. Great job!

My husband and i took our youngest grand baby there for breakfast and it was horrible. My food was burned, our eggs were cold. Very cool spot! Amazing place to explore in Murfreesboro. I'm not sure what the tarp is doing in the top of the dam.

Great spot to come and hangout. Don’t swim nor eat fish out of this area. Or priest entirely. The dump drains all the waste water out to here.

Unfortunate that the dump releases toxic water into this river! There's got to be a better way of coping with the pollution than dumping it which spreads it.

This place is on the national list of historic places. I read about it an d it took some research to locate thought its right in the recreation area. Nice little place to walk and there seems to be some fishing here. If you're into looking for fossils there are some though not incredible easy to find they are on the large rocks and if you look hard on some of the smaller ones. Water looks clean for the most part, but not too incredibly sure I'd eat the fish out of it.

No electricity has been produced here since 1941, but the dam and gravel beach below it are a great place to hang out and enjoy the water - unless the wind is blowing the wrong way and you are hit with the stench from nearby "Mt. Trashmore".

Always clean and pleasant. We only go to the pool so I cant speak of the other services. We go biweekly. I've been once when their system was down and they only accepted cash and that was a little inconvenient but now I make sure I always have it. And if you're going to the pool and there's an accident (fecal matter) the pools down for about 45 min so if you have little ones bring an iPad if you plan on waiting. Just my suggestion for as much as we go.

Fortress Rosecrans is a significant historic site that dates back to 1863 and stands as the largest earthworks fort built during the Civil War. The park offers visitors a chance to explore its rich history through hiking trails and historical markers. However, some visitors have noted the lack of signage can make it difficult to navigate. Despite this, many still appreciate the serene walk through the woods on smooth paths and docks, with some even expressing interest in restoring parts of it uncovered from weeds.
Very informative and great experience with the hiking and historical markers.

Great Excellent park. Just wish there were signs telling you where you're going. One path led across the street. I wasn't sure if the park was related to the fortress. Another path led me to a dead end. Another lead me into a circle, which wasn't bad, I just wish I knew where I was going
