The St. Charles Historic District is a recognized national historic district situated in St. Charles County, Missouri. This location holds significance as it was the first permanent settlement of Europeans on the Missouri River and where Lewis and Clark began their famous journey of exploration along the river.
These guys/gals are awesome! I bought a classic over the phone, from Florida, and Mark and Cory took care of me in every way possible! The total buying experience was very organized and easy. They even paid to have the a/c fixed properly here in Florida. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

Bought and picked up my 60th Anniversary Corvette ZR1 in July 2016 from them. Great deal at the time and the car was exactly as described. No issues and no hassle buying from them with me being an out of state customer. Would do business with them again.

I've been in car collections and museums from London to Los Angeles and I will absolutely say they are peers with the world leaders. For the gear head, this is a sacred place. My only regret is not being a half a million dollars richer, or one of their beauties would have followed me home.

Everyone in our large group of 12 people w ages ranging from 3 to 72 enjoyed this FREE museum that had 2 showrooms full of classic cars & newer souped up cars, which also were for sale if you were interested in buying one. Prices clearly listed on every car, no room for negotiating though.
Highly recommend this cool car museum

Amazing choices of classic cars + hot rods in all 3 showrooms; North, South and Main buildings. Wasn't expecting to be multiple buildings but couldn't complain.
Photography is allowed but of course you gotta be mindful of others plus not taking pictures of interiors inside cars. Furthermore, its a great place to visit with friends or family. Regardless of their interests of cars as well as they also display atheistic choices of vintage collectables + toys.
Here's some of my work taking in each showroom.

My wife wanted to buy her dream car. It happened to be in the vast inventory of Fast Lane Classic Cars. From the second she saw the 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo to sitting in the seat after it was delivered, Fast Lane Classic Cars and Chris, from the sales department did an incredible job. Answering all questions, Mechanical checks and detailed, all were done with top notch perfection. I never write reviews. This company truly earned this one. Five stars and more. Thanks again.

FastLane Classic Cars was the perfect location for my husband’s 50th birthday party! The staff (Sarah) was super helpful in the planning stages as well as during the event (Veronica)! The cars and memorabilia were so amazing to be able to walk along and look at during the party! I HIGHLY recommend FastLane Classic Cars for your event space needs!!! So fun!!!! We will be back, for sure!!!

We hosted our wedding party here this past weekend and our guests loved the space! Very unique and everyone loves going down to look at the classic cars. Sarah helped us with anything that we needed and always made sure that we had everything we wanted for our special day. The lady that was there on our day, I believe her name is Veronica, made us feel comfortable and again, anything we needed, she was on it. High recommend!!!

Absolutely perfect place to host Cars & Coffee. The STL car community is grateful for that. Really cool setup. It's basically a campus. Amazing cars and a great gift shop too. Definitely worth a visit.

I recommend everyone should visit this place. They have a massive selection of classic cars. I've been here twice and it's always fun, try to visit when the weather is warm and nice because there will be walking and all of their garage doors are open.

Met a friend there to look around. They are probably one of the best Classic Car dealers in the country. Nothing but top of the line restorations. Mostly priced out of my league but there are some that I would definitely consider. Nice collection of old bicycles. Some manuals and accessories, too. A great place to just look at all the cool cars! Who knows you might just have to have one!

Such a fun place to visit! They had three showrooms of awesome, mostly vintage cars. One of the pictures I took was a Jaguar with a belt that appeared to be holding the hood down. Crazy! There is a nice gift shop with unique, car related items. My only regret, I couldn't buy one of these beautiful cats.

We used Fast Lane Classic Cars event space for our son and his girlfriend's college graduation celebration. It was so nice, we didn't have to decorate with all the car decor and the real cars. We did add a little graduation graphics. Our guest were able to go downstairs and see all the beautiful cars too! Sarah the manager (owners daughter) was very helpful. Our families and guests were very satisfied and impressed. If you go with one of the 3 recommended caterers they knock something off the rental space cost. We would recommend this place!!
The Lewis & Clark Boat House and Museum is a place where visitors can see full-scale replicas of the boats used by Lewis & Clark during their 1804 expedition. The museum also features exhibits that detail the expedition. The staff is extremely friendly, and there is a nice gift shop on site. Although the museum itself may be smaller than expected, the longboat exhibit is fascinating and provides visitors with a perspective on what the travelers went through.
Great little museum, lots of things to look at, a nice little gift shop. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. It is a small display, but well put together, the large boats were especially interesting to me, unfortunately they were behind gates at the time of our visit. Highly recommend.

This is a small museum. They do a good job illustrating the journey of Lewis & Clark. There are statues of Seaman throughout St. Charles. If you visit the museum you'll understand why!

Remarkable.
So much to see. Plan a few hours. Description of a pc of history that should not ever be forgotten. We didn't take care of the already settled Native Americans. But the white man wouldn't have survived without their help. Lots to learn. Great gifts to buy

I recently had the privilege to attend a conference at this beautful place. This is definitely a hidden gem. The views are spectacular and the museum is incredible right next to the Missouri river. This was my first time visiting St. Charles. Its been one of the most beautiful places I've been to. Bob and his team were extremely friendly. I highly recommend visiting.

A most see place. The view oh the rivet is beautiful. They have a gift shop and museum here. It's only $5.00 to get in and we'll worth it. It is upstairs on second floor but they do have elevator to use. Staff was very nice and was cleaning up the parking lot from last night bad storms.

If you were like me, I am sure you drove past the boathouse in Historic St. Charles a hundred times. On the hundred and first time we stopped to check it out. When you walk up to the boathouse there are native wildflowers grown with information of the species. Then you encounter an old restored boat used to travel on Missouri river by Lewis and Clark, and it is in use to this day. It is a keelboat, and it is crazy. I am sure a lot of dedication and hard work goes into maintaining it. The staff were all super nice and out-of-there way accommodating! I noticed the museum and it was only a few dollars to tour. Once I entered, it was absolutely a hidden inexpensive gem! There are artifacts from the period, walls chocked full of information. Small replicas of the villages. There are many dioramas depicting scenes of the time. In addition, a lot of the native wildlife here in Missouri. The facility is very clean and has a beautiful view of the river through there large picture windows. A nice building here in our backyard of St. Charles County. So, the next time you are down there, take a few minutes and check this out. Great place to take the young ones!

While compact, it is full of artifacts, exhibits and information bring the Lewis & Clark expedition to life and making it real and relevant for today. The staff was friendly and professional. This is a fun educational museum about Lewis and Clark.
There is plenty to look at and read about thier travel across the country.
A 45 min educational video plays on loop as well.
There is a nice patio on the second floor where you can see the Mississippi River.

The Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles is a contemporary hotel that offers spacious suites and an indoor/outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy a 1950s-themed lounge and stunning views of the downtown area or river from their rooms. Although there is no gift shop or convenience store onsite, guests are encouraged to dine at the hotel's restaurants instead of using vending machines. The staff is accommodating and willing to assist with room requests.
From the drive up to the property it was a breathtaking moment. The ease of parking for the hotel side made it very accessible. When arriving inside you have got to see it to believe it, hands down just luxurious. The craftsmanship of the resort is just beautiful. The check in staff was just as perfect, very warm and friendly. After we settled in we went to dinner and then enjoyed the casino. The casino is just as nice as the hotel. We will definitely come back for another getaway stay here, this is definitely a 5 star experience.

Far as the hotel goes its pretty decent. All the rooms are suites very much spacious. Front desk they are helpful, although a few can learn how to talk to guests. They have a year-round indoor/outdoor pool. The lobby, common areas, and in general are well managed and clean. The casino is huge, beautiful design, various slot machines and tables. Staff are always visible and willing to assist.

I'm a frequent visitor I spend a lot of money here unfortunately...lol
There are some workers that are friendly every time I visit, and accommodate to the fullest. And some are just not very friendly and seemed like they're miserable, and some need to not work with people due to having poor customer service skills.
All in all I feel safe there, I normally always have a good time. Not too happy about losing all my comps that I once had for whatever reason but I think it's come a long way as well as the employees.

The building is not very well kept up. Looks dirty. Hand sanitizer empty. Smells terrible. No smoking is on the second floor. So all the smoke rises from the 1st floor. Plus you have to walk through the smoke to get to the second floor. What moron came up with that idea?????

Amazing all the way around!! The staff is super nice!! The bathrooms in the rooms are fabulous!! Took a bubble bath, and OMG I was so relaxed, I didn't want to get out. Water pressure in the stand up shower was perfect! Beds are super comfortable, even the pillows were comfortable as ever! There was even a safe in the room, only downside was no microwave, but it was a perfect room!! The view of the river was nice 🙂. Don't get me started on how dark the room gets with the curtains closed, perfect for dark room sleepers 😴 😴!!

I reserved our room from wedding block- at rate of $256.00; already charged to my card. My husband and I stayed one night; Saturday, 3/30/24. After a 4.5 hour drive, we pulled into driveway at 2:30 pm, & no one greeted us for our luggage or giving directions to front desk or parking directions. We unloaded our bags onto luggage cart & I parked our car in free, self-park 4th floor of ramp. We attempted to check in a little early, but were informed that we could not - until 4pm- unless, of course, we wanted to pay “Early Check in Fee” - yes; we had to be at wedding at 4:30- so incurred extra charges on card: $85 “Early Check In Fee”, $11 “Resort Fee” + Room taxes at 16.9%= $110.00 additionally charged to card. Our room was large, 2 Q beds- clean and comfortable. We definitely missed the motorized blinds we had in our room at St. Peter’s Holiday Inn Express! TV room was very nice & in step down/sunken living room & would not be accessible for someone with physical limitations. The bathroom was large, the toilet was in its own room with a door; which I like. The wood vanity was scraped up at bottoms & had seen better days & shower was nice but not clean; large amount of hair/ debris in drain. The price of 2 plain black coffees at Styx restaurant in lobby- $16. The hotel was 20 minutes from wedding venue; & we discovered there were closer hotels that we wished we would have booked but didn’t know better. This hotel was not for our taste & we won’t be staying again.

Did a staycation with my daughter and her fiance. We rented two rooms. Both were very nice. One face the downtown area and all the lights and the other face the river which was nice as well. The rooms are very big and spacious. Showers are really nice. My only negative would be they don't have a sort of gift shop or place to get things like soda or chips. They also don't have ice machines and vending machines on the floors like most places. I assume that's to encourage you to eat at the restaurants. The staff was kind to us to get the rooms close together. A little pricey at about $200 per night after the local taxes. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Ameristar St. Charles. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a great view of the river. The pool was fabulous (note: no children allowed in the pool Friday through Sunday, as alcohol is served poolside, so be aware.) The location could not have been more convenient for exploring historic St. Charles and it was also convenient to the airport and for exploring St. Louis by car. And the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Cassie the pool attendant and Jennifer and Kiki at the desk for going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Highly recommend!

Casino review only. Pros: Clean, nice staff, lots of games to choose from.
Cons: These machines are TIGHT. It's no fun to lose all of your money in 15 min. Can't even finish a drink before your money is gone. I understand that the odds are not in the players favor....BUT, you should get a little return and a little play time on your money. You can pour money into a slot or poker machine, and when you do hit the special feature....you will get 55 cents! People are so disgusted they don't even clear the machine after getting a feature. It's almost like they want to warn you to stay away!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I take some older family members there every week and it's getting to the point we will switch casinos. It's a shame because we love it there, just not fun anymore.

We came for an overnight to have a little fun for our anniversary. Room was nice and large but needed updating. Bed was comfy, view of the river was nice. Service was just ok. We requested a river view room and were told we got one, but when we went to our room it was not a river view room. So we had to go down and argue with the front desk staff to get another room. We had fun playing slots. Won some, lost some but overall had a good time.

Went to the Casino. It looked clean, and the machines seemed to all be in working order. Staff were incredibly friendly. I had to interact with a few of them and they all were friendly, informative, and seemed to genuinely be happy to be there. Staff also wiped slot machines after people used them. Unfortunately, there are a lot of smokers, so even though we didn't sit near anyone smoking, we still left with the smell of smoke on our clothes. The whole casino reeked of cigarette. That was probably the biggest detriment against them. Had to shower and change when I got home. Also the only casino I've been to where I was not offered drinks while at the slots even though I sat at the same machine over an hour.
It's a very nice looking building with a lot of shops and amenities as well.
If you don't mind smelling like an ashtray this is definitely a great place to spend a few hours.

We purchased a room for 2 nights. Mind you we have 2 young children that tagged along. We have been to this hotel more times than we can count and have always had an amazing time. We checked in this time and got situated in our lovely room when the kids asked to go swimming. We all got ready and went down to find that the pool closes at 6PM for anyone under 21! I asked if this was an everyday occurrence and the lady went on to reply yes. Never have I ever heard of such a rule before. As I stated earlier we have been numerous times before. We were very disappointed especially when we couldn't even check in until 4. We pay a pretty penny to come here but it makes it all worth it to let the kids enjoy the awesome pool. Little to say the hotel definitely lowered their family friendly atmosphere a notch by making this change.

It's a good 45 minutes coming from SCOTT AFB, on this day it was a smooth sail. I was excited upon arrive as the theme music from "Long Kiss Goodnight" played in my head, but this was not that! The parking was too easy to corner up for my exotic means of mobile express. Walk toward the entrance New Year Eve's wind and cold air occupied the major of the space. In a hurry to get in, I took a minute to consume the environment. Well...let skip that part and get to the main event. If you do not like second hand smoke..save yourself the trip as there is no escaping it here, it will be the first, second and last thing to surround you. I am not a gambler by no means, I just like to hang out and watch the action happen. On this day, people must have been in the giving mood, but spirits were still in good standing. I did not eat at any of the restaurant...so nah there. Hotel! where?...I must have missed it. Restroom inside the Casino clean, but there was one outside the entrance area that need much attention. Staff was very helpful and polite. Make sure you get cash from your ATM bank, as the ATM fees are review all by themselves. Good to place to go and chill with a friend or party. I will attempt to explore more on my next visit. 7/11

First time staying here and it was a beautiful hotel and beautiful rooms. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5....the beds and pillows are THE most uncomfortable. I hardly slept the 4 days we were there. Next time I will bring my own pillow for sure!
The other reason and this is happening in a lot of places but for all the restaurants there they weren't open on the days we were there. The good news is we had a couple event nights so we didn't have to worry about it, otherwise we only had the bar and grill to choose from until our last night when the steakhouse opened and that was delicious!

Nice atmosphere and layout. Huge selection of games and lots of fun playing. They have very clean games and restrooms all day and night. The soda and coffee is free for you while you play. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. I have stayed in hotel a few years ago. And it seems not a lot has changed in the standard rooms. But they are still clean and nice. The location is really great as well. Not not there is anything they can change about it now. It’s a city inside of itself lol. They are pretty stuck with the layout. Which is great. The only thing I would change is the glass on the front doors. It always looks like it’s raining outside when I walk out. And rain makes me blue and sleepy. And then I realize it’s only the glass. Games pay out pretty well it seems but like every place they have a dry spell when it’s just time for the house to win and make money. We can’t win every-time. Although it would be nice. But it is always fun and comfortable there.

Great way to make your repeat client base feel welcome … have the room ready at 2:30pm and refuse allowing them to check in without a “check in fee” of $85 until 4pm. “Protocol”. Standing in the hall wondering wth to do overhearing other people complaining that the rooms are disgusting…
My experience has been the room has always been clean but definitely outdated. And this entire complex is very overpriced.

Ridiculous issues. Parked in a lot specially designated for large vehicles. Drive a large truck. And because it was apparently a couple of inches shorter than they liked…. They towed the vehicle. $400 bill plus taxi fees and several hours lost time. The lot wasn’t full. Many opens spaces. Made an honest mistake believing those spaces were for trucks like mine. Yet. They towed it. No one asked me to move it. No one put a note on it. It was there only a few hours. Unhelpful staff. Will never stay here again. And will ensure anyone that asks knows how terrible this place is to its customers.

Entering the large facility with all the lights outside, made you feel like you were in a little Vegas. Easy to park in the parking deck you’re not in the weather easy to get right into the building. Lots of really neat little shops along the way as you work your way into the restaurant areas and then into the casino. There’s lots of detail in the casino, amazing two stories full of machines that look all brand new and lots of nice comfortable chairs places to get drinks and everything was very very very clean. Definitely a very cool place.

I booked a room one night to treat my boyfriend to a cute little stay-cation. The staff was very lovely. Check in was easy. The rooms were cleanly. I had a beautiful river view. The general set up is very nice.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I slept like a baby. It was very quiet, I couldn’t hear any neighbors,
I gotta say though I was disappointed. We tried to take a bath and the water wouldn’t even get warm. We tried to stick it out but it was too cold. So that was disappointing. I was really looking forward to having access to a bathtub that we can both fit in.
It was dusty I noticed but there were signs posted where they apologized. I’m fine with that, stuff happens and it sounded like they were addressing it.
We went to make coffee the next morning and there was only one package but…two of us.
The bathroom TV’s don’t work but that’s not that big of a deal since the bath didn’t work out anyway.
The carpet was not in the best of shape and neither was the furniture, the blinds were hard to move. Personally don’t care much about those things but it’s worth noting.
The elevators had me livid. I got stuck a couple different times where I thought I was gonna have to call for help. In hind sight I probably should have notified someone but we were only there for one night and we had an agenda.
I actually really love the casino and I’ve stayed in the hotel before with friends and had a great time. I just don’t see myself going back for a cute romantic night away from the house.

When I walked in to my room, 2212 on January 18 2024, the horrible odor of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. The air conditioner didn't work either. Called front desk and they said they didn't have any other rooms but they would send someone up to fix the issues. 2 guys came and couldn't fix the air conditioner. They said they would get back with us, they never did. 2 hours later after calling the front desk, a guy came in with an ' air treatment ' device that did nothing but give us headaches and made the room smell worse. To top it off, the next morning there wasn't any hot water. I've stayed in better rooms at a Super 8! With the amount of money we spent at the casino, you would think the rooms would be much better! Very disappointing!

The casino it’s very clean, especially the washrooms. I hate the wall of cigarette smoke that hits you when you walk in! Wish the whole place was non smoking not just upstairs. Would like to see more blackjack tables. Dealers and bar staff are friendly, do a great job. It is almost impossible to get a waitress at a table but the bar staff are fast. Took all my kids for 21st birthdays, everyone there celebrated with us, staff included, it was a great time, fun atmosphere! Have only stayed over once for a wedding, which was in the ballroom and sensational. We had a hard time booking the hotel room with the wedding block of discounted rooms, but once we got there the room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with all the usual amenities. Didn’t like that you couldn’t open the fridge to chill your own soda etc without paying.

I can only speak for the casino. Everything looked great. The entry in was filled with restaurants, bars, and a few shops. Went during the week, late in the day but not evening. I didn't have much luck but the staff was nice. The casino looks good, with lots of slot machines, tables, and different denominations. The slots seemed tight, more like a racino than a casino. If I was going to try it again, it would be later at night or on a weekend.

I am not a gambler of casino goer at all, but as a destination and out of curiosity I wanted to see what it was about.
Couldn't believe the size of the place and all the venues on site.
The casino floor was packed every seat filled, a site to behold.
I grabbed a drink and walked around mainly.
Not my thing personally but impressive regardless

Decided to choose the Ameristar for our son's 21st birthday. This way, he could drink on the premises without leaving. We also have younger children that would be with us 1 of the 2 nights. Had a few unfortunate events happen that would have been nice to know ahead of time. The nightclub was closed both Friday and Saturday. The only spot that was a bar with music was closed. The heated indoor pool was closed. Almost all the reasons we chose the Ameristar which isn't a cheap place to stay but would let 2 parents sleep at night knowing your child will be safe and not getting into a car didn't exactly come through. Another funny thing is they don't have microwaves in the rooms. They would like to charge you an additional 30 dollars to rent one for the night. Then after you checkout of course they add a few more dollars on for a resort fee. Resort that more than half of was closed. I love going to the Ameristar for the casino but the hotel side was a huge bust for our weekend vacation. Make sure you call ahead and ask questions before booking. Lesson learned.

Biggest issue is we booked a non smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke. I suppose it's probably not a solvable issue with smoking allowed in much of the building, but it should not be advertised as a non smoking room. Without that issue I would rate it 5 stars, but a room that cost $250 a night and advertised as non smoking shouldn't smell like smoke. Shame too, because it is a very nice room otherwise. Great if you're a smoker, stay far away if not. Would not recommend or return.
After talking to management I would rate this place a one star. They didn't seem to care about the issue at all.

Booked a non smoking room that still smelt like smoke. Staff is nice and check in was easy. The room is decently clean but could use a deeper clean. The casino itself is clean and the overall ambiance is decent.
The First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site comprises a cluster of four interlinked brick buildings that served as the state’s capital from 1821–1826. It is situated in the charming and picturesque historical downtown of St. Charles, with numerous quaint cafes, bars, jewelry stores and vintage shops that evoke an English ambiance. The surrounding area boasts several antique shops and splendid architecture to explore.
Great tour, well presented, interesting history. A must do when in St Charles!

I love the setting because it reminds me of England. The surrounding area is also fantastic as there are so many other antique shops and beautiful buildings to see. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel nostalgic and magical. Also parking is free and pretty accessible :)

Right in the heart of old St. Charles, this set of buildings represents the very first of Missouri's legislative centers. The visitor center is small, but has lots of information to share, and tours of the capitol building are on offer.
You're free to roam the grounds, which includes a lovely backyard area with river views. The yard contains gardens and plantings of all kinds, as well as sitting areas and plenty of shade.
The first capitol is an important part of Missouri's history, and the historic site preserves it wonderfully!

Awesome historical site. The tour was well worth it, guide was very knowledgeable. So nice to see such an important place restored to it's original character. The visitor's center has an informative video that shows details from the 6 year research and rebuild project. They also have displays upstairs showing Missouri's path to statehood. Tons of period artifacts, and the House and Senate chambers are set up as they would have been in the 1820's. It's not very big, so you can see it all in a couple hours.

It's a great place to be and to bring your kids is a really good idea. The area is right next to the Katy Trail and the security is very good. The police normally ride on horseback and the bars that where there are moving out.

Very interesting tour of the 1st Missouri state capital. The original brick buildings have recreated state Senate and House meeting rooms and the Governor's office. The trade store downstairs has several animal pelts on display to show the type of goods brought in from the frontier.

I attended Missouri Day here and it was a delightful experience! The staff and volunteers are all very knowledgeable and kind.
We went to family fun. It was expensive, but we had so much fun. They had a good variety of food and fun things to do.

The concert was fantastic and the staff was sooo friendly and helpful.
Al Green was the star performer and his old school music was wonderful.
His voice is deeper.
I bought nachos loaded with hot peppers and cheese.

Went to the circus this weekend here, what a bust 😥 very unorganized, guests and employees were running around talking, distracting from the show, performers had their backs to most of the audience, no one advised anyone there would no longer be circus animals at the circus, half of the audience left at intermission, including us, waste of money

Went to an ambush game and I'm sorry to say but the place is kind of a dump. Seats falling apart and uneven, unsafe floors at your feet. Definitely needs an upgrade, but could be worse I guess. Just really not worth the prices in my opinion. I paid for a front row seat but it never showed on the Ticketmaster website that it was in the corner behind the glass, which I don't feel should be the same price as one that's field side front row. Yes, I know there's a map view on Ticketmaster to select seats, but my point is that it doesn't show where the glass is so I had no idea how bad the view would be for the high price I paid. Hopefully that steep ticket price goes towards upgrades...

This place was just awful. They may be good at hosting a bunch of drunks going to a soccer game but when hosting a cheer competition leave much to be desired. Arrived at the entrance to the parking lot to pay ten dollars to park in a huge half empty lot. Was directed where to park but they didn’t mention that the first door you come to was not an entrance nor was the second or the third… they could have said there was only one entrance so you may as well drive all the way around and park by the open door. They charged ten dollars for parking and if you wanted to park in the big empty parking lot next to the only door that was opened then it cost another ten dollars. Getting in was a pain. It cost a ridiculous $35.00. There was a clear bag policy because I’m sure that cheer competitions have a huge problem with dads sneaking in alcohol. We had to throw away the boxes of candy that we brought to keep the little kids satisfied while the others were competing. No, there weren’t an adequate number of concession stands opened, just one and of course it was hi way robbery. There was an officer watching your every move even to the point that the made sure you held your baby right (maybe they had to much experience with girls getting on guys shoulders for the concerts) it was just a miserable place to be, always being corrected when they could have put up a few signs they even made sure to tell us that if we weren’t back in before the event ended then we wouldn’t be allowed back in. The facility staff ruined my whole stay in St Charles, Mo.

I go to a lot of shows & I have never see. more disorganized parking entry or exit in my life. It took an hour to get parked. They also charge $15 a car. Once in I realized how steep the stairs were inside. It’s a safety concern with the lack of lighting in the upper areas. It’s a long way to call & the steps are so dark you cannot see where you’re going. I will never visit this venue again

I enjoyed Cirque Musica but I had a small pocket knife that was given to me as a gift that I either had to take back to our parked van or throw away because I was not aware of their policy regarding knives. The attendants would not allow me to give them my knife for safe keeping that I could retrieve after the performance. I could not go back to the vsn because it was parked to far away, I didn't park with the driver and did not even know where we were parked, I have two bad knees and could not walk that far and get back to the venue before the performance started! I will never return because of this unfortunate experience!!!:( 😪

Great venue, well organized and safe. Lots of security. Concessions run efficiently and the acoustics are decent

Went to a cheer comp. The seats were pretty disgusting, completely stained. Otherwise, the arena was kept as clean as you could expect with a sizable competition going on. Bathrooms were clean and in working order.

The experience of the show was great. However the concession suck. Waited in line for 20 minuters did not get anything because they ran out even before the event started they were doing intro. We did stay for the show ,As we were leaving some lady came up told my son , He couldn't have my grandson on his shoulders she put her hands on him to direct to another exit. Needless to say won't be going back.

The staff here was 😬. I digress! The reason we were there though was Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live and my kid loved it! We saw his fave Bone Smasher and were so close. Tons of fun. The venue though had 1 food vendor for all the ppl, cash only parking, didn’t let us have a diaper bag, so that was frustrating. Hot Wheels on the other hand was awesome.

This is a great indoor venue for concerts. Always a good show when seeing concerts here. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because parking is terrible. Good luck getting out if you are not parked in vip. Wish more concerts were here.
A delightful Christmas experience at Missouri Artists On Main!
My wife and I recently visited Missouri Artists on Main in St Charles, Missouri, and it was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas Traditions.
The gallery is home to a diverse collection of art from approximately 40 local Missouri artists, and we loved browsing the pieces together. There is something for everyone, from stunning paintings and sculptures to unique jewelry and handmade crafts. The artwork is truly high-quality, and it was evident that the artists put a lot of love and passion into their work.
The staff at Missouri Artists on Main was also incredibly helpful and friendly. They took the time to answer our questions about the artwork and even made some recommendations based on our interests. We felt welcome and appreciated throughout our visit.
Overall, our experience at Missouri Artists on Main was fantastic. It's a great place to find unique and beautiful gifts, or simply to enjoy a relaxing and inspiring afternoon. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special local experience in St Charles.
Here are some of the things we loved most about Missouri Artists on Main:
- The wide variety of high-quality artwork from local Missouri artists
- The warm and inviting atmosphere
- The helpful and friendly staff
- Great place to find unique Christmas gifts
We will definitely be back to Missouri Artists on Main soon!
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

My bride and I visited the Missouri Artists on Main in St Charles, MO after we visited the Irish Fest in Frontier Park last May. We thoroughly enjoyed the wide array of art that includes paintings in various media, jewelry, sculpture, and other art forms. The St Louis area is a desert of art with few oasis, and Missouri Artists on Main is one of the best!

We had the pleasure of speaking with artist Adam Long during our visit today. WOW! Just WOW! His nature sculptures were just awe-inspiring. And he was so personable and nice, discussing his pieces and giving us a glimpse into his creative process. We enjoyed our stroll through rooms filled with absolutely stunning works of art, made even more enjoyable knowing they were created by local artists. We will definitely be returning!

Jaycee Park is a spacious 12-acre park with an innovative play area for kids, basketball courts, and ball fields. The park also includes a picnic shelter and ADA compliant restrooms that are open all year round. Most of the park consists of grassy areas and woods, and there is a hill on the West side which attracts visitors for sledding. However, the park needs more trash bags to encourage people to clean up after their dogs.
Amazing park with a giant waterway, which is really cool for the children. Great swings, beautiful merry-go-round. This is a gem of a park. Five out of five stars probably the best park in Saint Charles.

Wonderful Park!. I know my grandchildren will someday look back with great memories of going there often. I do wish there were signs that read:
Be careful. Hot cement. Carry or Shoe the babies.

It's a great little park. Not too much equipment so it gets a bit boring fast, but that isn't always a bad thing!
There is a lot of shaded areas to sit. Which I've never seen any park have so much relax area!
And the restrooms were super clean! Always a plus.

My kids and I absolutely adore this park! Even when it was very crowded, there was still plenty of room for everyone. It is such a large playground and play area that there is something for every kid to do even when there's a ton of kids. My kids enjoyed every single part of the play area, and there is no border because there's always something else to do. Are absolute favorite part of this park is a slide that is made up of rollers, so it's like a tilted conveyor belt. So much fun! Truly a beautiful Park, with so many different places to sit and watch over the kids while they play. Absolutely wonderful spot for parties. There are multiple parts of the park that have picnic tables or just special seating areas. Also a huge bonus.. they have bathrooms and drinking fountains! I highly recommend this playground because just like us it will become a fast favorite.

This park has a nice playground. There are several slides, swings, and a climate spinning thing. It features a summer water feature that is fun for small children.
This park is mostly fenced in. I like that they used the landscape to make the park have walk ways to the upper level of the playground and they have a slide that goes down a hill.

What a fun park! We loved both play areas, the large butterfly, shaded picnic areas, and the water feature. The only negative thing was that it's a little hard to navigate with a stroller.
Brianna Oliver — Google review
This park is so much fun! Safe and clean. There is plenty to do for kids of all ages. Lots to climb, lots of room to run, plenty of slides, and even a splash pad for hot days. I especially like the playgrounds that use this soft material on the ground. My 2.5 year old never wants to leave! It’s also nice that there is a little shared library you can leave or pick up and book on your way out.
Sara Davis — Google review
Most of our experiences have been pretty great at this park. But unfortunately today we a different story. While pushing my daughter on one of the swings I ended up getting caught up on this metal portion that was very sharp.
Would definitely suggest having someone come through and check the equipment to see if anything needs to he replaced. Would hate to see a child get badly injured.

Jaycee Park has a great "Discovery Playground", 2 ballfields, and is bigger than it looks (12 acres). There is a picnic shelter and ADA compliant Year-Round Restrooms. There are picnic tables and benches in the South half of the park.
Most of the park is open space (grass and woods). The hill on the West side is popular for sledding. The elm tree near the parking lot is impressive.
The sidewalk to the North is open again after the completion of the construction on the new firehouse.
The park needs more obvious bags to encourage people to pick up better after their dogs. The wooded area has poison ivy.

Fantastic playground. St Charles Parks and Rec has outdone themselves with this setup. Paradise for my 2 year old daughter with lots of very nice areas to sit with a secure view to let her run around independently. We will be regulars here until she outgrows it!
We've been to this one several times (back in the day it was the grocery store my family shopped at). Great selection, lots of really interesting items and LOTS of space. If you plan on visiting wear comfy shoes! I'd say the only down side is price negotiation. The vendors can be difficult to get in touch with, so if you find something it's best to just buy it then and there otherwise you'll risk losing it.

I have visited multiple times, and they have 3 galleries. They also have a snack area with seats, if you finish earlier than the rest of your party. Staff is always kind and very helpful. Temperature is always kept at a nice level. There is not that musty, I'm in an antique store smell, which is a great bonus. It's definitely worth the trip if you are an antique lover.

We always enjoy our trips to this antique mall. We almost always find a couple of things to buy when we are there! Server ce when checking out is always quick and workers are friendly. The woman that checked us out this past trip even went the extra mile to make sure my wife's name was updated and corrected in their system for the rewards program. The computer wasn't cooperating but she was nice enough to wait it out and get things changed before we left! Thanks for another great experience!

So I'm not very fond of a company that has a monopoly on the antique malls around the city. With that's said, I haven't been in St. Charles Antique Mall in years
We stopped in today, and boy has it changed. The treasures are very cool, along with it being clean and organized.
There are, I'm gonna try and get it right, I think 5 galleries inside.
Prices are reasonable, and the staff is overall very nice and welcoming
My only complaint is that it's seems one person is controlling everyone who works in the store .
I'm not sure why the young lady wasn't allowed to assist us in getting into a case, as she was just standing there at the counter.
The younger women were very warm and welcoming. The older lady was a little wound tight for a better description.
There are plenty of treasures for all collectors. Prices varied from reasonable to a little high.
Overall not a bad place to stop by off Highway 94.

I was shopping with a friend who spent over $500. They refused to call an offer in on something under $100- I had a few hundred worth of other stuff to buy and was seriously looking at a pair of art deco club chairs. The rather dull ladies working the front decided to forgo all customer service imperatives and lose a $800-$1000 sale.
FYI- I had been there a year or 2 before looking at the same item and instead of doing a little work they lost a decebt size sale for 4-5 of their vendors. I will not be back but I am sure they could care less...

Mostly knick knacks. Their vintage soda advertising is seriously lacking. I had high hopes since this place seemed huge but mostly repops signs and bottles. The one thing probably worth buying was a squirt chalkboard but I have already have one because it’s a common later piece from the 70’s.

This is a pretty nice antique mall. It's relatively big. It has a lot of glass cases with smaller stuff. I would say it isn't a lot different than many antique malls in the area but it's worth checking out.
Wonderful gem! Sandy did a fabulous job sharing the story of the saint with us. Very beautiful place.
Located in an easy to find location in Saint Charles.
Suzanne Chisum — Google review
One of only 10 saints canonized in the United States. The church where the remains reside is a sad mix of contemporary interior design in an unfinished structure that could not be completed due to the lack of offerings. Putting that aside, the story of her life is impressive and you leave knowing that there were powerful woman in American history. The Shrine is a good place for prayer and meditation. Don't expect entertainment and touristy traps, it is solemn and a place of prayer.

Frontier Park is a well-maintained and spacious community event site located near the Missouri River and Historical Main street in St Charles. The park features a large statue of Lewis & Clark, along with picnic tables, grills, and paved biking trails that cater to both leisurely individuals and avid cyclists. Visitors can also enjoy scenic views of the river from various points throughout the park. Additionally, there is a dog-friendly area for pet owners to bring their furry friends along.
Great place, very close to the Missouri River and very close to the Historical Main street. The walk there was relaxing, becase we was lucky and park was not so crowded as usual. We also succeed to visit Lewis and Clark Boat House and Museum, located nearby.

The park was okay, but not any that I would likely return to without someone asking me to come with them.
There are probably better areas of the park to what I saw but the area I was at, wasn't super exciting.
There were bathrooms and picnic tables.
Where I was at seemed like there could be some construction going on.
Lots of good info on the info boards.

Love walking here. Right off the Katy Trail, river, casino, and historic St Charles main street is feet away. They have numerous events here such as Octoberfest, and 4th of July celebrations. Ample parking across the street behind the st charles main street buildings plus street parking. Public restrooms are available, and if you want to walk, there is a dog park a short walk away. The park itself is not huge, but there are many statues to learn about the Lewis and Clark trail.

It's my favorite place to walk and relax on my days off.
My new favorite close by jogging place. Trails are quiet and peaceful and eventually bring you to and along the river. It is nice to be in a park that feels like nature...natural wooded, winding dirt trails rather than flat paved trails that are at most parks around here. The trails are fairly short but good for a quick run or walk.
Lisa H — Google review
Not much to see here, definitely nothing nothing scenic or pretty. It looks like this trail has been/is being groomed for a bike trail, and several people on bikes passed me while I was walking.
It’s perfect for being a bike trail, lots of small curves, little dips and hills, with a very smooth and even surface on the wide path.It would’ve been lots of fun and a bike!
Walking…..it was just a walk. Nothing real special, just a nice long walk, but if you’re looking for somewhere close to town that is also in the middle of a huge grove of old trees, where you can be outside, this is it. Lots and lots and lots of fallen and decomposing trees in all kinds of interesting configurations, but that was about the most “scenic” thing going on. Well, you do get a few glimpses of the river……
The trail is close to roads, including Highway 70, so you will always hear some level of road noise. But like I said, you’ll be right in the middle of this grove of big old trees, so it’s OK.
Don’t know if this was the designated parking lot or not, but as soon as you turn off Highway 94, there is a gravel lot on the right, and that is where I parked.
All in all, ok for a long walk on a nice day when I’m short on time, but nothing real special.

Bangert Island is nice hike if you are in the area. I hike this trail quite often as it is conveniently located for me and I enjoy it each time. What is nice about it, is that it allows you to take a scenic hike in an (sub)urban area. Once you get into the trail, you feel like you are further out than you are.
It is also a relatively flat trail with few rocks, roots and obstacles. There are a couple of different loops you can take. The trails will also walk you along the Missouri river, where you can get some nice views of the river (with a little "urban" landscape and noise mixed in). Plus, it doesn't take you all day to hike it. Depending on the trail, it can take you under an hour to get a hike in.
Tip: If it has been raining the trail can get muddy, so prepare accordingly.
Again, I hike Bangert Island often, because it is convenient, works when I don't have a lot of time, and lets me feel like I am in nature. I would not say that it is necessarily a "destination" hike, but if you are near by, definitely stop and enjoy it.

Make sure you wear bug spray in September. I made a awful mistake and am now covered in itchy bites. Otherwise, it was a good time. There are nice views of the river. Found a bench about a half mile in on the mile loop. I can't remember the name of the loop, maybe Kurtz loop? I didn't see any other people hiking. I saw 4 people biking.
March 2022: no bugs this time of the year. I took the loop to the right this time and hiked about 3 miles. If you're biking, there is an area where a huge tree has fallen over the trail so be prepared for that. There is also trash littering the area probably due to the past floods.
Shantelle Mueller — Google review
I really like the trails because you can circle around and don't have to repeat a lot of the walk.
You'll see scenic views of the Missouri River, Hollywood Casino, Blanchett Memorial Bridge and more.
Recently the park management of the park changed to City of St. Charles. The signs, and benches have been removed along with a lot of trees.
They have put in a new bridge with hand rails across the creek. I guess they will be putting a lake in where they removed trees in February 2022. Right now the trees look like a big mess, but St. Charles has a path that you can still get to the island to walk or ride bikes.
I haven't ridden bikes on the trails but a lot of people do. I see people walking their dogs and kids too.
Some times there is sand you can climb down to, depending on how high the Missouri River is. There are some drop offs near the trail along the river so watch kids closely if you think they will not pay enough attention to this.
I enjoy walking through the trees in the woods. It's a pretty place. Much more city noise now that they have taken so many trees, but still enjoyable. I'm glad it exists.
Angela Layman — Google review
If you like single track, smooth, twisty trails through the trees, then you'll like this trail. I like how the trail is shaded by the tall trees. I also like how the trail isn't full of rocks and roots. For the most part the trail is flat with some small moguls. This is my new favorite trail in St. Louis!

Beautiful art foundry right here in the heart of St. Charles. So much bigger inside than it looks. They have a lot of events, live music, and cocktails for purchase. Love the small business event where folks had their merchandise for sale. Bought a few things - one of a kind jewelry. The former art teacher who has his artistry on display was entertaining, funny and point on for how children behave in the classroom. I really enjoyed the tours. Highly recommend if you are looking for a free event! Pet friendly.

The gallery halls were a bit strange, it didn't have any spirit, there was way too much empty space that could feature so much more art from the artists upstairs it felt lifeless. I did like the part where you could visit the artists and see their studios, however nearly all the doors were closed. There are so many talented artists here they should really feature and sell more art in the gift shop. Unfortunately the gift shop really just had generic printed merchandise. There is so much potential for this place to be beautiful.
