The Old Town Bluffton Inn is a charming hotel with elegant rooms in the Queen Anne style. The vintage furnishings and porch add to its quaint atmosphere. Guests are treated to true Southern hospitality upon arrival, as evidenced by the warm welcome from Garrett who serves champagne and snacks. The inn's decor is exquisite and its location ideal. Visitors can enjoy morning coffee and delicious breakfasts before setting out on their day's activities.
What an absolutely charming hotel. Recently built and beautifully decorated. It felt very clean and comfortable. Great location...walking distance to all Old Town Bluffton restaurants and shops. The service was outstanding - Garrett and Cameron went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I agree with other reviewers...we have stayed in many places all over the world and this boutique hotel ranks among the best. We will definitely stay there again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The Old Town Bluffton inn is an absolute gem in every way. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted like family. Every staff member was engaging and welcoming and could not do enough to help make the stay enjoyable. The lobby and sitting room are beautifully decorated with a warm, homey feeling.
The rooms are immaculate and comfortable.
The included "all day" coffee, snacks, soft drinks and morning breakfast items were perfect. The included wine/champagne drinks were a classy touch. Located in the heart of Old Town Bluffton, the Inn provides easy walking access to restaurants, shopping and local activities.
I would absolutely recommend the Old Town Bluffton Inn for a relaxing stay and for the attention to detail and genuine customer care. Special thanks to Garrett for his great service and hospitality!

Enjoyed our quick getaway to Bluffton for a short stay! Old Town Bluffton Inn has the perfect location with easy walking to restaurants, shops, and points of interest. At this price point, we were just a little surprised at the breakfast service - very self service, with pre-packaged items, plastic silverware, nice quiche but plastic wrapped and needing the microwave. Nice to have a glass of wine offered on arrival but then surprised to find an amenity charge on the bill. So just be aware - overall, friendly staff, a beautiful living area, and centrally located.

We had a lovely stay at the Old Town Bluffton Inn. The location is an easy walk to shops & restaurants and landmarks. The Inn was incredibly peaceful and quiet...and always available snacks and beverages which we enjoyed as we were always on the go during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I went to Bluffton for a wedding. We considered an Airbnb but instead decided to stay at the Old Town Bluffton Inn. Great choice!! This place is top notch. Everything was perfect. Location, setting, snacks, breakfast, vibe…even the shower was awesome! The owners are very engaged and couldn’t be nicer. And the entire staff was amazing. We greatly enjoyed this stay and have every intention on going back.

This inn is Fantastic. My husband and I are so overwhelmed by the genuine hospitality of the owners and staff of Old Town Bluffton Inn. We came across this Inn on Google when we were planning our first trip to the Bluffton area. It looked nice so we decided to make a reservation . From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right decision. It was beautiful, immaculately clean and welcoming. We were immediately greeted by a pleasant staff member who made us feel comfortable. He offered us a glass of wine at the beautiful and cozy bar on the first floor. During our stay, the owners and staff made us feel at home. They offered suggestions for restaurants, made reservations for us and gave us suggestions on things to do in the area. They took the time to get to know us. Great location within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. Since our first time there, we’ve been back to stay and see our friends at Old Town Bluffton Inn. We call it our home away from home. Whether you’re looking for a one-night stay or extended stay, look no further. You will love this upscale Inn. Old Town Bluffton Inn is one of the best you will ever find.

I’m not one for writing reviews, I actually never do, but my experience at the Old Town Bluffton Inn was so exceptional that its motivated me to write my first review.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we sadly had to leave our time at the Bluffton Inn couldn’t have been more perfect.
The attention to detail from the welcoming staff, the decor, the impeccable rooms is unsurpassed.
They’ve thought of everything! Instead of an annoying, overpriced mini bar in the room they have a well stocked , complimentary snack and beverage area. From hot coffee, tea a variety of cold drinks. Homemade muffins and omelette tarts to packaged snacks and fruit. All available all of the time.
Garrett greeted us on arrival, actually waited to greet us personally as we arrived later than scheduled. He couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating.
In the morning, Bonnie will prepare you the most delicious omelette for breakfast and always has fresh homemade treats.
The husband and wife proprietors, Vince and Danielle, are so friendly making you feel truly at home and welcome. You immediately feel like you’ve been inducted in the Old Bluffton Inn family.
Thank y’all for a fabulous experience. Can’t wait to come back!!

What an absolutely lovely Inn! And wonderful hosts! The rooms are super clean and spacious with every possible amenity, super comfy beds and probably the best water pressure/shower ever! The extras such as a fully stocked pantry available 24/7, spirits upon arrival and breakfast were a welcome treat. The location cannot be beat with shops, restaurants, a coffee shop and a wine bar all within close walking distance. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Situated in the heart of Old Town Bluffton, the Inn is the epitome of casual elegance and southern charm. My sister was visiting from Chicago and usually stays in Palmetto Bluff. We decided it was time for a change and we are so glad we did. From the moment, she arrived, she was shown true Southern hospitality. Garrett greeted us with champagne and snacks and was a delightful host! The inn's decor is beautiful and the location is wonderful. My sister enjoyed the morning coffee and delicious breakfasts. She and her husband will now be staying there and are booking their next trip back shortly. We highly recommend the inn!

I can't say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this Inn is! We found it on a lark, and we've stayed there twice in two months. It is built with all the polish and finishes of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel or similar luxury properties. Everything is top of the line comfort and convenience. I wish I'd taken some pictures, but we didn't have a lot of free time this visit. The owners are very personable without being overly friendly. Would choose this destination every time for the Bluffton, SC area. Great restaurants within walking distance including Farm, The Pearl, Nectar, and others.

A wonderful stay where the staff made us feel like family. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and a personal tour of the premises and all they had to offer. The location was great, in walking distance of tons of restaurants, shops and historical sites. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The common area was a wonderful spot to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of fresh brewed coffee with a delicious house made treat. My husband and I were sad to leave when it was time to check out. We are already looking forward to planning another stay.

This was a beautiful place to stay for our anniversary weekend. The rooms are decorated very tastefully. The beds are very comfortable and the walk-in showers are large enough for two. The staff was so friendly, including the owner, and customer service was exceptional. Many restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. The town of Bluffton is peaceful and full of history especially the parks on the river. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning.

Danielle and her husband, Vincent are phenomenal hosts. Having personally enjoyed over 45 years in the hospitality industry I understand the importance of attention to detail, genuine caring for guests, impeccable cleanliness, comfortable beds and fine linens and they have it all in spades. Don't let their non-dog friendly policy prevent you from staying if you're brining your puppy as there is a 5 star dog day boarding facility just 10 minutes away named K9 Luxury Pet Hotel. It also is superb and you and your pet will not be disappointed with them. Bravo to Danielle and Vincent along with Joe their AM morning host. He comes to them with a steep history of hospitality and "gets it". Enjoy you stay !!

Vince and Danielle and their staff make you feel welcome from the minute you step into their adorable hotel. Their location right in the center of town allows for convenient walking to local shops, bars and restaurants. Make sure you take time to visit this charming hotel and town if in the Bluffton area. We had the most enjoyable stay at the Old Town Bluffton Inn! Welcoming and beautifully appointed, we found it to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in the U.S. (and we travel a lot!). Garrett made our check-in easy and oriented us to the Inn and the various amenities (24/7 complimentary pantry with a variety of beverages/snacks; 24/7 freshly ground & brewed coffee; complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival, etc,). It was our first time in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area and he gave us a lot of local tips for dining/shopping/exploring. The Inn's staff and owners offer truly spectacular Southern hospitality and we will definitely be back! Don't miss this gem!

They are always stocked with delicious, fresh baked goods, snacks, and beverages and the owners and staff are eager to help you in any way they can. The location in old town Bluffton is ideal and convenient to so many places. I have travelled there alone and always feel so safe and secure. I can’t wait to go back and have told all my friends about the Old Town Bluffton Inn.

Loved this Inn, a cozy and inviting place and everyone was so friendly from check in to check out. Of special note is their complimentary snack bar in the lobby which is far beyond their description of “snacks”. They also fed us a delicious breakfast of sausage biscuits and egg poppers, yogurt and fruit, toast, and more. We enjoyed the “artist in residence” artwork throughout the Inn. Newly renovated and beyond clean. We’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels and resorts and this one stands out. If you plan to stay in the area frequently, they have a program that allows you to prepay for nights at a reduced rate. Perfect if you are designing and building a home in the Bluffton area. A special place for sure and we will definitely return soon!

Old Town Bluffton Inn far surpassed our expectations and we had high ones to begin with. The property is perfectly located in Old Town, the rooms are wonderful and the staff provides excellent service. The proprietors have done an excellent job creating a welcoming atmosphere and a place we will go back to often.

We had two rooms at the hotel (one for the wife and I and one room with two queens for our adult kids). The location of this hotel is outstanding as you can walk to any number of restaurants, and it is just a pleasant part of town. The hotel itself was really great. The staff are incredibly friendly and looking for opportunities to be helpful. The rooms - while not huge - are very nice. The self-serve kitchen was such a great idea. You can always get a fresh cup of coffee or tea, access any number of sodas/waters/juices, and there are various breakfast and snack options. We had no trouble finding parking in the back of the hotel, but I could imagine it could get tighter during the summer.
Everyone in our family was glad we made this choice and it is hard to imagine anyone being disappointed with this property.

The Church of the Cross is a distinguished local Anglican church known for its striking Gothic architecture and impressive pipe organ. Constructed in 1854, this landmark church has been well-maintained over the years and boasts picturesque grounds that are perfect for taking photos. Located at the southern end of Calhoun Street, it offers an excellent vantage point from which to view the May River.
Such an excellent church to visit. Our docent was so knowledgeable about the church and it's history. I didn't realize the part of history it was involved in. They have an amazing pipe organ!

Beautiful gothic church. An emblematic place due to its history, very well preserved. (built in 1854) The walks around here are very relaxing, with magnificent views. Its gardens are charming. Right next to it,is Wright Family Park, where you can sit down to rest and of course take nice photos of the Church of the Cross.

The church was closed that the time we visited but the property was clean and green. The church is in great condition and there is a hidden bee hive in which it is reported that the church produces honey. The view of the water is nice and peaceful.

this church was spared by General Sherman, on his March to the Atlantic. Amazing architecture, just the grounds alone, are worth photographing and seeing. Definitely a destination on a street with many awesome shops. Easily spend an afternoon in this General vicinity. Well worth the drive!

Beautiful wooden church structure and grounds on the bluff of the May River. We stopped by at the end of the day and the building was locked. A great place for pictures with bluff views.of the May River.
We love the Bluffton Farmer's Market, as many of the vendors we see on Hilton Head are also in Bluffton. That said - Bluffton has several more, and is has the Kettle Corn folks!
It is fun to go to get snack to munch on while walking about, sit on the park, or come to get essentials like produce, eggs, and meats. It is always a nice environment and parking is not as bad as some make it out to be. The market is big, you're never that far from something wonderful!
Andrea Hattler Bramson — Google review
Wonderful. From what I've gathered via my two friends today, this place really expanded in the past years and it's (my opinion) quite big. The park nearby offers a good place to relax and enjoy the things you bought and there was a fair bit of variety at each vendors' stands.
Fun to go with friends, there's usually pets (dogs) here as well! Recommend the Boba truck and Chinese lo mein/dumpling vending stations. Its proximity to the docks nearby also makes it perfect for a laid-back, relatively scenic view of the marshlands.
First time here, would love to come back someday.

Absolutely incredible. Truly today was a magical day and it was all thanks to the farmers market. Every vendor was welcoming, kind and told me all about there products. We started at the okän food truck and then went around and got something from almost everyone. There were even gluten free goodies for me to try!

One of the best farmers market in the area. Lots of good vendors and quality goods. We spend a few days in the Bluffton area every spring on our way north and always make it to this market.
Tom OBrien — Google review
Amazing small town farmer’s market. It will not disappoint! The varieties are endless. There are several meat vendors, fresh vegetable vendors, flower vendors, fresh rice from local fields, sweet treat vendors, fresh breads, and much more. The market even has a variety of food that you can order and enjoy. During my most recent visit to the market, there was a smoked meats stand, fresh dumplings and noodles, coffee, ice cream or ice pops, seafood, etc. The people in charge of this market do a really good job and really offer diversity. I hope it continues to grow.

This review is only for the bread stand at the market. I saw a line of 15 people waiting to buy a variety of breads at this stand. I thought it must be great! Bought a baguette (it was expensive) and couldn't wait to try it. Got home, cut a slice, tasted it. It was THE worst bread I have every tried! No taste and dry as can be. The loaf immediately went into the garbage. Can't understand why there was such a line. Has anyone else felt the same way about this bread stand after tasting it? Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the stand.

Small local farmers market. It's one that has several farms attend, not a flea market like some end up being. Fresh produce, eggs and fresh baked breads. Several booths set up for food as well. Always enjoyable and especially on a warm January day when the rest of the country is snowed in.

Heyward House Museum and Welcome Center is an 1841 historic home located in the antebellum South that offers guided tours and a collection of artifacts showcasing life during that time period. Stepping back in time in Bluffton was an incredible experience. Walking the very small farmers market, the historic church’s, homes, oyster factory and art gallery that has local Gullah artists works for sale was several hrs of amazement. The Heyward house and visitor center is worth the stop to see the authentic home and furnishings, outdoor kitchen and slave quarters. Your visuals during this time is only limited by your imagination. The docent at Heyward will give you a walking or drive map of the town. Talk to a local and learn of a good place to have a bite in the new part of Bluffton. We ate at a seafood place and the fried shrimp plate was great. Easy drive from Hilton Head. Make Heyward house your first stop to get your bering.

A must-do every time we visit Hilton Head! Our favorite is Outlet 1. Chicos, Brooks Brothers, Under Armour, Saks Off Fifth are most of our favs! The staff in all the stores have been friendly and helpful. Chicos and Brooks Brothers even remember us when we return because of conversations with them and our Doodle. I also love that the stores are dog friendly, especially in the heat of the summer with our well-trained dog!

I visited many stores here and especially loved the Eddie Bauer store where I found a huge selection of quality t-shirts. I love that they sell them in tall sizes which fit me very well. Bought 3 of them and paid $46, a good deal. Also loved the Book Warehouse and bought three JFK out of print books I had never been able to find elsewhere, the best was the price, all three for $20 total. Highly recommended.

Large outlet with many primary anchors all offering deep discounts on their products. After some buying and research we found many of the items are exclusive to the outlet malls(s). No big deal - just know you are likely not getting a factory second.

Fantastic shops each with something a little different. Places with snacks and treats walk between all the clothing and toy store and grab an ice cream.

While I wish I could give this outlet a higher score I feel 3 is really very fare.
1. The outlet is pretty small compared to other Tanger Outlet's I have visited. To be fair, there is another fairly close, although we didn't visit it.
2. It was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon because it is summer and there are tourists, like me. A lot of shops only had one or two employees at most. This caused a lot of wait time at the registers.
3. Despite #1 and 2, everyone was VERY nice and the mall was very clean. It was a great break from our busy action packed trip. We really need to zen out after all the historical places we visited.

Loved the place in general, walked around the entire area. This a great place to spend a good part of your day shopping. Wide range of options.
It's clean and well kept.
They had corn hole out next to H&M, played a few sets while enjoying ice cream.
Be ready however for the weather, while inside the individual outlet the AC is great ,however it felt like walking through soup outside while we were there.

Amazing sculptures in a cool area of Bluffton. Our grandkids had fun just walking around and commenting on what they saw. It's a quick visit so don't set aside a lot of time. Like an enchanted forest and a gallery all rolled into one. Colorful, fanciful metal sculptures all over the place, which I assume is the artist's backyard.
Free, just wander around. Everything is lovely, displayed as part of the landscape for the most part. About an acre. Easy paths, well kept. And a couple of benches if you need to sit. SO happy we went!

i’m seeing a lot of reviews about how bad the service is but we didn’t have an issue at all. she checked on us several times. anyways, now for the food part. i got a southern helles lager and it was pretty good. my chicken sandwich was decent but i think i’d try something else next time (it had a lot of sauce for my taste). my husband said his burger was delicious. if i’m close by again in the future i’ll definitely come back!

Dog friendly on patio, including a dog menu and water. The 5 beers that I tried were all very good, much better than the taste and prices we experienced at the other microbrewery nearby.
Plus, the staff was very friendly and attentive. They also had either 6-packs or growler fills on all their beers and were reasonably priced. Be sure to try their Damn Yankee IPA, and my wife loved their sours.

Nice ambiance and bartender Max was super friendly. Maybe the best burger in bluffton! (Top three contender anyway) I will be going back, definitely check this place out!

Great place to eat. We split a huge pretzel appetizer with beer cheese. Then had a classic burger cooked medium to perfection. The only complaint I would have, one of the waitresses was wearing spandex shorts and it was not fun watching her pull the legs of shorts down to get rid of wedgies on the front and back. Very unprofessional and slightly disgusting.

Nice place, food and drinks were good. Service was not great at the bar at least to outsiders like us. We were visiting family for the night going back home to Florida and went for dinner and drinks. First sat at a table outside as we had kids with us and service was decent but simple things were missed like refills and food runner didn’t ask if we needed anything else and we were missing ketchup for burger and fries. The rest of our party left and we decided to stay and go to the bar for a few more drinks. It was clear that if you weren’t a regular you weren’t getting the same service. Took forever to be helped or even acknowledged but bar tenders were constantly chatting with people on both sides of us, joking around and very attentive to their needs. Food was delivered to gentlemen next to us and manager asked if he could get him anything else but when he brought us ours nothing just dropped and left. So clearly secondary service is a huge miss starting all the way at the top (manager). Very disappointing to go to a place to enjoy a night out and feel almost un welcomed. I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential but could use a few months of secret shoppers to pin point where they lack in order to make it a better experience overall.

My wife and I were in Port Royal visiting Shellring Ale Works (excellent!) and we decided to detour over to Bluffton and visit Southern Barrel because my wife is a big fan of their Wild Bramble sour. I’m trying to be a little sympathetic in my review because clearly something was amiss with the staff. My wife is allergic to strawberries and when she asked our waiter if two of the fruited beers had strawberry he responded, “I don’t know, and I doubt anyone else here knows either.” Then we overheard the bartender tell another patron in response to their question, “I don’t know. I don’t really drink beer.” Both of these responses fail for a response when you are a local brewery. Also we were sitting close enough to the kitchen to see that they were on the verge of a mutiny. Two kitchen staff walked out while we were there. I get that restaurants have bad days. I just couldn’t tell if our waiter was moving around with frantic understaffed energy, if scattered energy is just his vibe, or if he was disinterested. At one point I needed more napkins and when he brought them over he never even broke stride as he dropped them on our table.
My biggest hurdle with this visit is that the location lacked any of the atmosphere you would expect from a local brewery. It felt like an Applebee’s or TGIFridays or BJs or any other generic chain restaurant that happens to have their own beer on tap. My fried chicken sandwich lacked flavor and had so much sodium that it could have eradicated all the slugs in a 10 mile radius. My wife’s sandwich was missing ingredients, but with everything we could see going on in the kitchen and our waiter fluctuating between rushing around the restaurant and checking his phone, there was no way we were going to risk sending it back to get it fixed.
At the end of the day, I’m just disappointed that I spent $60 on such a lackluster lunch. We were trying to show some love to a local brewery that makes a beer we like, but it just felt very corporate. We’ll still enjoy Wild Bramble when we see it out but there’s no draw for us to return here.

The Classic Burger is the best in town - likely the best I've ever had! My husband and I asked for our fries well done and they delivered. Service from Carissa G. was exceptional! Our new favorite place to grab a Classic American Burger Plate. Thank you for renewing my outlook on exceptional service and an outstanding burger & fries!

This place is really phenomenal. The food we had was amazing, especially the duck bacon wontons. They melted in your mouth. The beer was good and the ambiance was really pleasant, the wait staff super friendly and our food got out insanely fast and very hot. The dessert was even better! Plus it’s right across from the bowling alley so perfect to get drinks at right after.

This is an easy 5 star review. We stopped in for an afternoon brew and snack. Our first time there so we got a flight and we each found our favorite for the future.
The big fat pretzel with cheese was a perfect pairing with the beer.
Very impressed by the staff working together and our server Natalia was personable, helpful, and energetic.
We will be here again for sure.
I am so happy with the work that Clark and his team have done for me! They are super creative and know how to get it done! My website went from mediocre to amazing! I highly recommend!
Pluff Mudd has been around for 21 years and just keeps getting better! What I like is that: 1-it is all LOCAL ARTISTS, 2-the artwork is an eclectic collection that is always fresh and exciting, 3-because this is a co-op gallery, you're always sure to find an ARTIST ON DUTY! Meet the artists and buy local art.

I just love Pluff Mudd Art Gallery! There are many fantastic galleries in Old Town Bluffton, but this is my favorite. They have the most interesting variety of artistic styles in one location. It's a co-op of local artists, so there is always at least one of the artists there to talk to! Every time I stop by, the artist on hand has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and loved talking art! Don't be afraid to ask questions.

8/31/22…4:20 pm arrived at shop. Greeted at the door with a very cold welcome, “WE CLOSE AT 4:30 “….Anthony the nice gardener said “she would be happy to let you in, tell her I said so.” Didn’t get the chance, practically shut the door in my face. I will never ever shop there again. And I’ll make sure to tell everyone about her wonderful southern hospitality. I’ll spend my money elsewhere Miss Happy Pants.
Sincerely, a northerner with much more hospitality.

If you love birds of South Carolina you are NOT allowed to miss this gallery and admiring the stunning photography by Kelley Luikey. She is a master photographer and a true artist! You will have a hard time leaving without a purchase of one of her masterpieces which she also donates a small percentage to Audubon South Carolina

The guy running the place thought we were joking when we told him we were looking for pluff mud pottery. He didn't know it existed. What a waste of time. It may have left a better impression if the moron hadn't been so condescending. One star only because zero isn't an option.

We stop here whenever visiting Bluffton. Several local artist display here.
Beautiful restoration. Great history of a freed slave. The structure dates to 1870 and is an excellent example of Carolina Lowcountry vernacular architecture of the late-19th century. The building was constructed during the Reconstruction Era; a historic period rarely represented architecturally due to the impermanence of the construction methods and materials.

Closed so you couldn't go inside but you could peak inside and read the interpretive panels and of course you could read the interpretive panels that are on the outside.
This little house with it's great history was a total surprise. So glad we stopped at the park for a picnic lunch and spent a little time walking around the building and thinking about the people who lived there and the lives that they lived.

Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve/Wildlife Management Area
Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve/Wildlife Management Area spans over 1,100 acres of nature trails that offer ample opportunities to observe a diverse range of birds, wildlife and native trees. While it is conveniently located near businesses, it may not be ideal for avid nature enthusiasts. Visitors are advised to wear bright orange during deer season and prepare for humid weather with insects during warmer months. The trails are stroller-friendly in most areas but there are no restrooms or trash cans on site.
I appreciate how it feels like you're not just 5 minutes from shopping centers. It seems to be one of the better places if you really want to get away from the crowd because there is often no one else there when I go(or 1 or 2 people show up while there) and the trails are directly in the woods. It is flat terrain so it's easy walking but there are long trails if you more of a challenge. But I would say it is not super friendly for strollers or wheelchairs since the ground is mostly covered with pineneedles.
A Lady Pilgrim — Google review
The forest offers expansive, meandering paths that provide a serene hiking experience. However, be mindful that some paths may have puddles due to recent rains, and tick precautions are advisable. While the entrance features a map, navigation can be challenging as the trail markings are not always clear.
In comparison to the marsh vistas at nearby Pinckney Island and Honey Horn, this area might seem less visually striking.
Facilities like public restrooms, playgrounds, or picnic spots are absent, but it's a great spot for dog owners looking for a pet-friendly outdoor activity.
Andrew Smith — Google review
This is very nice (close to a lot of business, may not be the best for nature enthusiasts). The trails are wide and you can push a stroller with ease most parts. 😀 I'd plan during 9/15 to 1/1 to wear BLAZING Orange, per the DNR recommendations because it's deer season on the preserve.
Out of town folks: it's muggy and buggy during warm seasons so plan accordingly!
No bathrooms or trashcans.

Easy access from business 278 in Bluffton. Unmarked trails, and no signs of maintenance. Little used apparently and on this Saturday morning in July I'm the sole hiker, and I wish I hade a mate with me.
Plenty of parking space right on Sawmill Rd.

Dnr park that is really just a ton of woods but a really cool getaway for those that know to watch for wild life, spiders etc. There is literally nothing here but woods. No bathroom etc.
The999dragons — Google review
Beware for ticks. Both my wife and I walked here for the first time, we were delighted about the peace and quiet, and the beauty of the forest. However, when we got home we both found ticks on our bodies. My wife found another one the next morning when she got into the car. We had to clean the car very thoroughly, our clothes, the chairs and couches, etc. At certain times of the year it is a hunting area, there is a lot of information posted there about that, taking precautions for that reason. I wouldn't go walk there during hunting season. This area has lots of deer, that must be the cause of the ticks.
It is always great to come to this gallery! I love the fact that we have an area that showcases local artists. Bluffton SC ❤️This one is my favorite!

I am giving this gallery a 2; not because of the art but because of the staff. I was there with my family (on vacation) and always purchase a piece of art to take home with me from wherever we go. They evidently had a new system that they couldn't get to work. They tried another way to take my payment and couldn't get that to work, citing that my card was being declined. I used my card all day long, and subsequently in the gallery next to them when they couldn't figure it out. When she told me it wouldn't work I said, "so you are willing to lose a sale?", she simply replied, "sorry". They didn't ask if I had cash, or a check, or another method of payment. This was after me patiently waiting for them to figure out their new system. I was only spending $65 so I guess it wasn't worth it to them to make it work. But I won't go back there.

The Society of Bluffton Artists has a wonderful gallery in Old Town Bluffton, SC. I'm partial to the SOBA Gallery because I'm a showing member. It has an impressive array of eclectic art by local artists at affordable prices. This quaint town is a haven for artists. Bluffton sits beside the beautiful May River. You can also have a delicious lunch in one of the many restaurants, and explore the historic area. If you're on your way to Hilton Head stop by or better yet make Bluffton your destination.
A must go to place. There's a variety of things to choose from. from very low price to high price All Quality, items made by artist. The owner and artist herself Pam is quite a treat to meet she knows a lot about art and she's just so enjoyable to be around. Need help she can help you. She also teaches class on painting furniture chalk painting. In her classes you not only going to learn a lot but you will have a lot of fun they are so enjoyable. This chamber really shines as a business to business hub, and a great place to network and get to know the "who's who" of business in our local community. It provides plenty of events to connect and market, but still feels like it has the balance of not being **too** busy. The staff and those that represent the chamber are professional and fun! It really is something I look forward to being a part of, at every new event!

This is a wonderful little community theatre that truly embraces the concept of a true "Community Theatre". The theatre does 4 shows a year using local talent; people who simply love the idea of performing for the sheer sake of entertaining. The theatre is comfortable and the setting is intimate, and yet even with that intimacy of a smaller space, the members of the May River Theatre never fail to delight with plays and musicals that are familiar to most who frequent the theater. if you want a fun place to spend an evening, give this wonderful theatre a try.

So we're ending our short vacation in South Carolina and we had found a place to purchase mead in Hilton Head. BeeTown Meadery was a bit of a drive to get to and I'm certain in the summertime with all the vacationers in Hilton Head it gets even harder. To boot, they're only open from 12:00 to 5:00, so you have to be cognizant of the time to be able to stop and purchase anything. But I highly recommend you make the time. It was a very pleasant stop meeting the owners chatting a bit about our experiences with obtaining mead and about their journey into creating their business. They have numerous meads with various flavorings including some brewed meads. I think in total we walked out was about 10 bottles. One of them was a wonderful brewed cranberry orange mead. As a brewed mead, it's not one to consider around for any length of time and needs to be consumed within a four or five days. I will admit it's sat in the refrigerator overnight and was consumed that next day. Very very enjoyable. I look forward to the tastings of the other bottles we purchased.

What a great find! We moved here from the Los Angeles area and literally stumbled upon this great shop (went to turn around in the parking lot and decided to explore)! Lavender honey, tasty mead liqueurs, and a (refillable) jug of fantastic sparkling pomegranate and orange mead! We've filled it several times since that first visit - I'm enjoying a delicious peach mead right now!! Do yourself a favor and stop in, taste a few options, and support this local treasure!

Meadery/Cidery in Bluffton, SC with fabulous meads (honey wines)! It is actually the state of South Carolina’s first production meadery!
It’s a small place with a chill atmosphere. You can sample several of their meads (1oz pours) to see which ones you like best then order a full pour of that. I’m a huge fan of fruited meads and their’s are top notch! My absolute favorite is the sour cherry mead - phenomenal! They also have a nice wild blueberry and a strawberry. Normally it is very difficult to capture the full flavor of strawberries in a mead but somehow they are able to pull it off nicely!
It’s definitely worth the trip. If you’re lucky, the owner/founder will show up to talk about meads with you. It’s clearly his passion and you will learn a lot! Cheers!

I really enjoyed my visit! We drove in all the way from Atlanta after experiencing one of their meads on draft at Ponce City Market a little over a year ago. We had the pleasure of speaking to the owner Mike a bit about himself and his brews. There is an extremely wide variety of mead, and everyone is sure to find something they enjoy. If you are on the way to Hilton Head for a vacation, make sure to mark Bee Town as a stop along the way!

The New River Linear Trail is a flat path situated in an area with historical significance, running parallel to a railroad bed. It is utilized for both hiking and biking purposes. Although the trail lacks challenging terrain, it offers great views of notable landmarks and sightings of alligators along the route. One downside to note is that the path leading up to the trail contains many roots. However, the linear trail provides visitors with a unique history lesson as they explore its scenic beauty.
I love the linear trail, it isn't all a challenging ride but the history and the sites are nice. I have seen several alligators along the ride. The path from the trail is filled with roots. One thing that would make the linear trail much better would be if it connected to all of Bluffton's other trails.

I'd really give this a 4 5 or 4.6.
Having a better map of the place would have been nice. A portable john or bathrooms by the parking lot would be nice too as well as a water fountain, but I suppose that's picky!!
It is only a wooded trail in parts, 95 percent is an old railway bed with hard packed clay and rock and a few muddy parts that were easy to walk around.
There were lots of birds - song birds and egrets and crows.
Wear sunscreen as their is no shade at midday. Bring water and a snack too.
The trail runs along swamp and has a few historical markers and plant and bird plaques. The underpass is uniquely designed and there are a few remnants of the railway on one end. The opposite end has the remains of old rice fields and has almost no trees. It goes behind a housing development and is a bit noisy. On the opposite side they are building another development with lots of construction and land clearing.
Overall it is worth visiting and great for dog walking birding and biking.
Beverly English — Google review
Just a straight trail made from an old rail line. Scenery was good but I was disappointed I couldn't get to the New River. I could see it through the brush but no overlook . There was a side trail I took which was fun but it led to a new development under construction.
It was a gorgeous day and a good workout. Parking was good. Trail a bit lumpy. Some interesting history posted along the route. Places to sit and rest. Bring water. No real shade.
PJ Bryan — Google review
Just about any trail that keeps you out of traffic is good. That's how I'd classify this trail. It's short and as it's not paved it's a bit bumpy. It has some nice interpretive panels interpreting the cultural and natural history of these area.
We've were there in late April and saw a number of flowers blooming and a seven foot alligator...so yeah a good day on a good trail.

Amazing! We had no idea this existed. It is a long, flat trail so it would work alternative surface bikes (maybe even cruisers.) Not much shade so the walk would be more comfortable on a cooler/clouding day. Love the history lessons along the way!

As the name says, its a straight line trail. 100% in the sun and just follows the telephone poles. It’s 1mile to the start of the water and takes at least 20min to get to that point. Ran out of time and didnt get to go further
