Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is a large and well-designed botanical garden with a wide variety of exhibits, including tropical plants in a butterfly garden, pools, lakes, and more. There are self-guided walking tours available for visitors of all levels of interest. The garden also has an easy-to-use tram system that takes you around the entire park.
Amazing collection of plants!! The Lego creations were amazing. A large botanical garden with a broad array of flora from around the world. Walking paths lead around the park for a leisurely walk through this tropical paradise! A beautiful butterfly park is a must see!

Loved this place. Very calming and the Butterfly garden is beautiful. Only tip is that if you plan to walk wear comfortable shoes. And plan to spend 2 -3 hours to really take everything in.

Wonderful and unique Botanic Garden. Would strongly recommend to any one visiting south Florida who enjoys nature.
One year I was able to be there for the Cacao Festival which was accompanied by delicious foods and chocolates. Be sure to check out the event calendar if interested. I would strongly recommend visiting even if.theres no events. The vivarium / butterfly enclosure is engrossing. Definitely worth the trip for the flora alone as.well.

The gardens are beautiful, have incredible variety, and reward exploration. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Truly a delightful experience. My sole criticism is the dishonest admission pricing. There's a mandatory $4.95 fee on top of the $24.95 admission price that they don't disclose or show on signage, and try to sneak in without mention. Please just admit entry costs $29.90 instead of trying to appear cheaper. "$29.90 and 16% of proceeds go towards conservation" sounds a lot better than surprising people with a fee and lying about being able to enter for $24.95

Was a great experience I encourage others to go. It was a bit pricey and I felt that the price could be adjusted slightly. The butterfly Garden was a great experience. They also have a cafe for lunch and coffee

Beautiful park with so much to see. Great trails to explore. Exotic plants. There is something for everyone to see. Today was a rainy day so the pictures are on the dark side. We have been other times when it was sunny and bright. Be sure to walk thru the Butterfly Garden, which is fascinating. They also have trams for a 45 minute ride. Entrance fee is $25 per adult. We were hoping to see the Lego exhibit but it wasn't there anymore.

This was a lovely and tranquil botanical garden to see while we were stopping in Miami for just a couple of days. It's fairly pricey to enter the garden, but it's well worth it. Very beautiful and rare varieties of plants and flowers, well laid out. A very peaceful way to spend a couple of hours! Extremely friendly staff.

The lights at night are so cool. It's a big place & the colors were mesermising. Parking was super easy, on site, and free. Definitely recommend for a date night or for a family.

The most magical way to spend your birthday! I visited Miami this weekend for both my birthday and a wedding. The wedding was yesterday evening (my birthday), and I was planning to spend the afternoon at the beach. Mother Nature had other plans, and it poured rain for most of the day. We had to pivot and make a new plan. I happened to find this garden on Google maps, and I’m grateful I did.
Traversing the tropical paradise on a rainy day just added to the charm. I felt like I had been transported to Costa Rica or somewhere similarly tropical. We had the place practically to ourselves due to the rain. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time we were there. I highly recommend a visit. It was easily worth the $25/person entrance fee, and if i lived in miami, i would 100% become a member.
Do yourself a favor and go!!!

What a beautiful, well-kept place to explore nature! We went during a lego event and it was just fantastic. The Cafe is easy to find and has yummy food. Lots of walking so be prepared but otherwise a nice family day

Went on a day trip with my best friend to show her a nice time definitely the kind of place where are you can spend the day commune with nature and truly have an experience. Anyone can go to a restaurant but spending time around nature while having some delicious food at the garden restaurant was totally worth it followed by a trip through the butterfly sanctuary. Parking is a little difficult so if you do get there and noticed there is no parking I will go inside and let the front desk know so that they can open up the back parking in the low lands. If you do park in the low lands you’re better off when it’s time to leave going out through the back exit by the lake so that you can be closer to your car as there is no entrance into the lower lines from the outside without a code. Looking forward to taking my family there tomorrow for the chocolate festival.

This was my second time going to the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden. The first time was doing the orchid festival. This time it was during the mango festival.
Both times went to the garden they were clean and beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the stroll through the gardens and the activity that took place during the festivals. I highly recommend anyone in the area to walk the fair child tropical gardens

Recommend this place if you love plants especially orchids and palms plus they have their own butterfly area which is awesome.
Super lovely and helpful staff who are volunteers.
They have some great dragons for kids and a mango festival which they were setting up for the weekend.
Would recommend going to see.

What an amazing experience! Got to catch a plant show and sale during our visit. Also picked up so new houseplants from the trip. I understand why it would be the best botanical garden in the USA. Thanks Dolores for the invite!!

WOW!!!!! Absolutely beautiful garden! We went for the dragon display and I can't say enough good things about it! They have misters that make it look like an enchanted forest. You walk along the path which is paved and see all the beautiful flowers, orchids and trees. The grounds are impeccable and the staff was very nice. There are benches everywhere and ponds and a stream. There's even a little waterfall. I recommend this place for those of you who love nature and serenity. Their gift shop is full of wonderful things from organic teas to beautiful journals. There was a shaved ice truck and a taco truck too. DELICIOUS!! If you are going, wear your walking shoes and a parasol or hat during the day. Absolutely beautiful place!

I have no words to describe how beautiful is this garden. We went this past weekend for the chocolate festival but that was nothing compared to the beauty of nature in this place. The butterfly garden in particular left an impression on me because we were able to see so many butterflies up close, I completely fell in love. Also I loved all the plants with all those beautiful leaves. I loved the inmense variety of spectacular leaves 🍃

Beautiful place to spend all day! There are plenty of things to do. You can eat there, bring your own or buy in there. The butterfly garden, botanical garden, and the rain forest are a must to be seen. All the beautiful sculptures made a wonderful frame to fantastic pictures. Starting now in November, the Xmas lights are a night show that it's a wonderful experience to do with your partner or family. Expect long walks while enjoying the natural outdoor beauty of this place.

A jewel waiting for locals and tourists to offer its beauty. Since 1938 this amazing garden has been teaching Floridians about conservation and displaying an impressive collection of flora. The Baobab planted in 1939 was my favorite. Also for art lovers the art of the artist Chihuly is displayed among the installations. Ask at the boutique for a map and they will mark their location for you!

WOW!!! This botanical garden is incredible. Start with the tram ride and get an overview. They have a butterfly house, a Chihuly display, lovely Palms. I definitely endorse this location as a must see if you are in Miami. The tram driver was informative and hit the highlights of the garden. Really delightful. You can get a AAA discount if you purchase tickets at the counter vs. Online. Also, check on Tram tour times. Today, they were at 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00.

This place is absolutely magical. If you are a tourist in Miami or want to see some beautiful nature presented in a very natural, charming this is a must. Also the visitor Center where you buy your tickets to enter smells and feels like a spa which I loved. You know you are entering the space of serenity!!!

Absolutely incredible garden filled with a huge variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers. The orchids and rainforest area were the highlight for me. We saw so many interesting birds, lizards, and one crocodile! The butterfly house was magical. A must see if you’re in Miami and love nature!

Pros: This is a great place to spend the afternoon. The grounds are beautiful and the butterflies are truly amazing. Also, the rainforest forest plants are misted to keep them healthy - which means you get misted too (definitely a plus on hot days). Cons: The tram is a fantastic service and helps you to get oriented to the grounds. We found that the system for using the tram was very informal - which led to a long wait and lots of people getting on before us who had waited less time. I wish there was more of a system in place.

Always a great day here. Went on the tram tour - excellent tour, very informative. Ate in the Cafe. All very tasty. Beautiful tropical rain Forrest display and the butterfly aviary is incredible. Up close and personal with dozens of different 🦋 butterflies!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Fairchild Botanical Gardens and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the garden, we were greeted by a sense of tranquility and beauty that instantly captivated us.
One of the things that stood out to us the most was how peaceful and romantic the atmosphere was. It felt like we had the entire garden all to ourselves, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounded us. The meticulously maintained paths and lush greenery created a serene environment that was perfect for a romantic stroll or a quiet moment of reflection.
But it wasn't just the peaceful ambiance that impressed us; the abundance of wildlife added an extra layer of enchantment to our visit. We were delighted to spot squirrels scurrying about, woodpeckers drumming on trees, and a variety of birds singing their melodies. We even had the incredible opportunity to catch a glimpse of a lizard and a crocodile, which added an exciting touch of adventure to our experience.
The Fairchild Botanical Gardens truly exceeded our expectations. The dedication and care put into maintaining the gardens was evident in every corner. The diverse collection of plants and flowers was breathtaking, showcasing the beauty and diversity of nature.
I highly recommend visiting the Fairchild Botanical Gardens for anyone seeking a peaceful and romantic escape. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a couple looking for a romantic getaway, or simply someone in need of a serene retreat, this is the perfect place for you. Prepare to be enchanted by the beauty of the gardens and the wildlife that calls it home. It truly is a hidden gem that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
The Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is a jewel of a public swimming pool that is much larger than most 305 natives are used to. The pool has waterfalls, grottos and a tropical backdrop, and it remains cooler than most pools in the area thanks to its large volume of spring water. When you're ready to chill out, Venetian Pool is the perfect spot for a splash in 305 weather.
I had an awesome experience at the venetian pool! We purchased entry tickets online and it costed $16 for the entire day. The pool has lots of waterfalls and ranges from 4-8 feet deep. The water was a bit cold but otherwise amazing. There was a small beach area for tanning and relaxing. The restrooms, showers and locker rooms were very clean. I'll definitely be back!
Malky Rabinowitz — Google review
My friend wanted to visit the Venetian Pool for her birthday, so off we went, two locals who had not before visited this lovely place! What an historic and beautiful pool for locals and visitors, alike. We went on a weekday, low season, dodging a bit of rain, but it didn’t matter. The grounds are lovely, the pool water is cool and refreshing with varying depths for serious swimmers like us, and those who just wish to enjoy some fun in the water. The lush tropical surroundings add to the ambiance. There are lifeguards on duty, and some chairs and benches around the perimeter of the pool. We opted to pay the $7 for a lounge chair. Ladies Room, showers and dressing areas are spotlessly clean. There are lockers if you prefer, but we just took our bags poolside. There are areas to picnic outdoors and also lovely wrought iron tables and chairs on the veranda. We parked easily and adjacent to the facility. Front desk personnel were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The admission is $21, but it was less due to the time of year, September. As you enter, inside you will find a fountain and on the surrounding walls photos of swimmers in their fashionable swimwear across the decades. It’s interesting to view the historical time line of this place since 1924! We grabbed cheeseburgers and sodas from the small, but efficient and pleasant cafe. A beautiful day, indeed, and a place to add to your things to do when you are in South Florida or even if you live here, like us!

Beautiful place to visit with family. It is a historical (1920’s!) landmark in coral gables and the only spring water pool in the United States. The entry is around $16 for non-residents of coral gables, but worth going to experience the Mediterranean ambiance and fresh spring water. They refill the pool every single day during summer and they have an area full of sand to lay out in the sun. Definitely a must go place in gables!

I absolutely loved this place. I purchased my tickets the night before because I heard this place gets packed. I'm very happy I did because when I got there at noon on a Saturday it had already reached capacity.
Parking is a little tricky because of how packed it gets. I had to circle around a few times before I found a spot.
Once inside I was taken away by how beautiful and clear the water was. Word of advice: wear the life jacket if you're not a strong swimmer. The pool is super deep in some areas. However there are more than enough lifeguards standing by at all times.
The seating areas get taken quickly so try to arrive early. Also the concession area is currently being remodeled so take your own snacks and drinks.
This place is totally worth the $17 entrance fee. Lots of greats spots for pictures too. Will be returning soon. But probably on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

Was impressed with this place, nice tucked into neighborhood location and felt the pool was bigger and better than I expected. Will return to again to explore the cave area as that had just been shut down for the day, as I was swimming to it. 8ft depth nice to swim long laps in, I wondered why it would be closed for season and now I realize it’s likely the leaves that would be falling into water and too much to maintain.
Vinnie Cozzi — Google review
We had an excellent time at the pool. On a Thursday morning to mid afternoon it was relatively empty. The caves would close and then reopen every 30 or so minutes. While we personally did not try it, the food smelled delicious (especially for pool food!). Lounge chairs can be rented but there is free seating as well. Plenty of shade, too.
At this point in the season they are charging less than what is lost online (for non residents). I would recommend checking the prices at the ticket booth when you arrive and oursading directly from them or online at that time.

Such a fun experience to do in Miami! Although it does get busy at times, the pool itself is huge so it never feels too crowded! There is a smaller “beach” area to relax, as well as areas around the pool. Lounging chairs can be rented for $7 as well. Food was your typical snack shop foods (chicken tenders, fries, hot dog, etc.) and took a while to actually get. I would eat beforehand if possible! Overall, a great experience to go do in Miami if you have never done! Not sure if it is worth it to go again and again, but for the experience I would go at least once!

I’ve been dying to take my husband here for years! We absolutely loved it. The great thing is even if it’s busy the pool is huge and you most likely won’t be crowed while in the water. Plenty of seating. May be a bit pricey but this is one of the coolest and most unique experiences in south Florida it’s also an all day things. Be cautious in the water as I did find a few bees floating lol.

Beautiful pool with lots of local history about Coral Gables.
Water is cool and refreshing. Plenty of loungers for rent, beach sand area to lay out in the sun, picnic tables and shady areas. Cafe on site with bathrooms and showers.

This place is absolutely gorgeous.
I was working in coral gables for over a year and never stepped in.
Last week I had the chance to go for the first time and they just open the place for the season.
You can enjoy en relax, also I have to mention they have a good group of lifeguards that keep monitoring the area and the people in the pool.
If you love to swim, you will love the 8ft deep side of the pool. Definitely looking to come back.

Love this place. The water is not heated, a little cold & chilly, once you get use to it, not bad on a hot humid day. They have chair rentals if you come early, for $ 7, you can buy tickets online or at the window. They have a sand area or a non-sand area, tables and umbrellas to eat at.

I went to the Venetian Pool with a friend on Friday just to check it out. I’ve lived in South Florida for 50 years and this is a hidden gem! It is such a beautiful place! The spring water is crystal clear and refreshing. The grotto is awesome as are the waterfalls! The lifeguards are all very friendly and helpful. I plan to go again soon with more friends and family!!!❤️

Bought tickets and a storm literally came out of nowhere right when we walked in. The sirens rang and everyone had to get out due to thunder. We waited an hour and they finally let us in for 20 mins until we heard the siren again for everyone to get out. They do not give a refund for bad weather so we tried to get our moneys worth but sitting under the small covered area with over 100 people was pretty miserable only to get to go in the water for such a short amount of time. We left after the second siren. It was an overall lackluster experience. I know it’s spring fed, but the bottom of the pool is pretty gross looking and slimy in some areas. It’s definitely a place to try and go to during less popular times like middle of the week. Not worth the hassle otherwise. It’s definitely catered towards kids more.
P.S. parking is a nightmare and a half. Another reason to go during a less popular time.
Tyler C — Google review
Beautiful pool and crystal clear water. Buy tickets in advance if you are not a coral gables resident. You can swim in the caves and grottos. Highly recommend to get there early to avoid crowds and get parking. Can’t wait to go back again.
Melanie Tolchin — Google review
Wow such a beautiful establishment, with cool history 🫢
The pool is made of limestone & huge so even when it's crowded you still feel like you have your own bubble to swim in. The Caves can get packed but every once in awhile it clears out and you can enjoy it to yourself. You also can climb the waterfall and hide underneath. The Water Is also SUPER refreshing, especially in comparison to south beach.
Cons: Locker situation wasn't clear until we entered - so make sure you get a coin for a locker when you buy tickets otherwise you'll have to wait in line again.
Minimal seating. It's best to rent a lounge chair otherwise there's picnic tables & benches but they get taken quickly. So for just the two of us we sat by the pool & used a locker.
Overall Highly recommend a visit was a great experience and will return 👍

The Venetian pool is historic of course but it’s also incredibly gorgeous. It’s a staple in Miami and if you’re in the area it’s worth coming by. Even if you’re not prepared with a swimsuit you can walk around the exterior and see the beautiful pool. The water is from a natural spring so it’s always at a constant temperature of 76 degrees which to me felt cold but is quite refreshing on a hot summer day.
Hugo Rojas — Google review
A beautiful pool in the coral gables community. Great deal for the family. I tried calling, but no one answered. Online, it says they offer concessions, but when we got there, they said it was under construction. No food 😭. Also the cave was under construction, so I could not go on an adventure 😭 It's beautiful, but I was a bit disappointed.

This place has been here so many years! A private pool located in Coral Gables, but non residents can pay $21 non-refundable no matter rain or shine for the day! There is a waterfall, smaller shallow pool, and underwater cave. Picnic seating and seating under covering. There is a mini beach and a little Cafe to see get food that is reasonably priced. Now note if there is inclement weather they will remove you from the pools and outdoor seating for your safety. They will not refund your money..no matter how long you have been there. So choose wisely. Other than that this was a great place to spend the day. The safe was super nice and knowledgeable about the history of the pool!

I mean when the weather is right I love this place. I just walked by here the other day and I guess Google picked up my location. If you never been here I would highly recommend it. It’s fun the water is fresh and freezing. The food is actually pretty good. The water is deep so keep that in mind. They do have a kiddie section and safety jackets. But there is really no in between. It’s either kid section or pretty deep and even deeper. The grotto is really cool if it’s open. And you can jump off the grotto too if it’s allowed depends at times. I love this place one of my fave summer hidden spots. Get there early parking is a bit rough.

This was such a fun and unique experience. The grounds are beautiful. They look very natural and they blend in with the rest of the area. They do not stick out like a tourist attraction, it complements the area. The staff were friendly. The concession area was closed which we knew ahead of time because it was very clearly advertised. There were vending machines with snacks like chips and soda. The facility is older but seemed very well maintained. Working bathrooms. The toilet paper dispenser was broken in the stall I used. Bathrooms were otherwise clean. The hand dryer looked like it was from the 80s. There's non-slip pads all over the area to prevent slips and falls. There's a smaller more shallow area for kids to play or adults to lounge. My only complaint is the pool itself. There were a lot of areas where it felt really slimy. It just felt nasty. I couldn't see algae but there was some sort of biofilm growing. I don't believe they are heavy with the chlorination in the pool which is nice because chlorine smells pungent and is hard on your skin. Water smelled very clean and was very clear. The water gets pretty deep, up to 8ft at the waterfall. It looks like you used to be able to walk by the waterfall but thats now gated off. There was also an area by the small lounge pool that was blocked off by wood. I would definitely come back here again. It was so enjoyable.

We had a great time. It’s a beautiful place to hang out and be relax.
The cost for someone that is not a Coral Gables residents is $18.
We came on Wednesday so I believe is better if you don’t want to be bother with kids running and yelling around you (lol)
The waterfalls, the caverns are awesome. The water looks clean but the pool’s floor was slimy and brown… with a brown layer on some areas.
The restrooms were really clean and there were a lot of lifeguards.
A lot of free parking lot do no worries about it.
Merrick Park is a high-end shopping mall located in the Coral Gables area of Miami. It features a mix of upscale retail shops and chic eateries, making it a great place to spend a day or night out. The mall is especially popular on hot Miami days, as its outdoor layout allows shoppers to stay cool while they shop.
Merrick Park is one of the best shopping open malls. So beautiful and the quality of stores is unbelievable. Stores like Tumi, Tiffany’s Anthropology, Nordstrom, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn to name a few.

Here you will find a huge selection of high-fashion retail shops including Carolina Herrera, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Cole Haan, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and many others. Many dining options here including Eclectico, Perry’s Steakhouse, Brasserie Central, Sawa, Villagio, Sea Grill and a few others. The mall also features Landmark Theatre, a modern movie theater to watch a movie.
This is a luxurious destination for shoppers in the heart of Coral Gables! Beautiful mall, but it goes without saying high end retail shops come at high prices. The average person cannot afford to shop here, but if you can, you will enjoy the experience. Happy shopping! 😃

Pros: very nice ambiance, big selection of shops, good location
Cons: paid parking, limited shade from sun and rain, mostly expensive stores, escalators and elevators are regularly out of service
I can tell this used to be a very popular mall but now it's not and the neglect of the upkeep isn't helping. Every time I've gone to this mall there aren't many people and I can see why. Also the paid parking is really a turn off I'm literally here to buy things, why charge me to park???? I go to Dadeland Mall now and it's much better there.

Cute mall, nice outdoor areas, you have to pay for parking or valet, plenty is seating options, a lot of stairs are not working, the elevators are super old and a little dirty, but they have good variety of stores and restaurants. It was pouring and there is not cover paths between a lot of stores so I got soaked.
The Lowe Museum showcases a vast array of historic art from around the world, with a particular focus on the international scene. This pioneer in the field of museum art opened its doors in 1950 and remains one of Miami's most popular attractions.
Amazing little gem of a museum, that is also for free and much bigger than I excepted. Also the university area around is very pretty as well. Lots of nice architecture. The museum it self offers wonderful exhibitions (there is a good mix of everything). The glass ones were my favorite. Stunning and so impressive. I didn’t know that you could blow glass into all those amazing shapes and forms. Would definitely come again if I were to visit the city once more. Absolutely loved it!

It was my first time coming here. It's a small museum with some big-name artists such as Kehinde Wiley, Frank Stella, El Greco, Claude Monet, Filippo Mazzola, and Louise Nevelson. They also have a nice variety of African, American Indian, Italian Renaissance, Japanese or Chinese (I don't remember), and European artwork. The staff and security were very nice too. The tickets were free but they do have a donations box so I recommend dropping some money in if you can. You had to go online and make reservations via their website.

There is a parking garage way across the street from the Museum.Enjoy!😊

I’ve been to plenty of museums, but I have never been followed by security before. There were three different guards stalking me and watching my every move. They even told me to not get too close to the glass cases. It was difficult to enjoy the museum under this type of scrutiny.

Extremely rude staff. Most of them follow you around the rooms like they think you're going to steal something or whatnot. The irony is they do it more so in rooms with things I would pass over as junk (I get that art is subjective, but a broom on the floor with the handle leaning against a blank canvas that is not hung straight- really? I thought someone had been sweeping and left it there - no, it was one of the exhibits.) Our children were being perfectly quiet and very well behaved. They wanted to count the angles of a piece (silently in their heads) to see if they came up with the same answer. We told them that was fine. They had their pointer fingers about 3 inches away from themselves in the air while doing so and were at minimum 6 inches at one point and a good foot away the rest of the time from the piece and not 1, but 2 women felt the need to go over to them and tell them not to touch it within 5 seconds of eachother and the second person knew the first had done so. At no point in time had either of them touched anything. One - they know better. Two - my husband and I had our eyes on them at all times. I would have let it go until one of the women proceeded to give my husband and I a dirty look when she walked past again. I said, "Is there a problem?". She says, "There're signs clearly saying not to touch things.". I told her if she was really paying attention, as opposed to carrying on a personal conversation with the other woman bashing whomever they were talking about, (they weren't being quiet and even facing away from them I could hear every word without trying to) then she would know that they weren't touching a damn thing and that we (my husband and I) didn't take our eyes off of them the entire time they were counting the angles until I did just now when you walked in front of me again. She had nothing to say to that. Both of my children were upset by this as they asked why those ladies yelled at them when they didn't do anything wrong. I told them I knew they didn't and not to worry about it as clearly the women had nothing else better to do. I could understand if they were being loud, running around, or actually touching things, but that was not the case at all. They were never more than 3 feet away from my husband or I the entire time. For the majority of the time, they were holding one of our hands so.....
My children have been in numerous museums of much higher quality and tours of old estates with priceless antiques. Not once has anyone ever yelled at them or said anything negative to them in any of those other places. The only time someone in a place like that has ever said anything to my husband or I regarding our children it has been to comment on how well behaved they are being. My children are certainly not perfect, but they know very well how to behave in such places as we always make it very clear when we are going into a place where they are not to touch a single thing and we expect perfect behavior while inside places like that. They are so used to it that even in places where there are interactive exhibits and you're supposed to press a button, flip a door, or touch a screen, etc. - they ask us before doing so.
Even aside from the rude and annoying staff, this is not a place I would ever again waste my time to go to. There were a couple areas with older Asian pottery and what not that I found interesting ( I like that kind of thing), but aside from that it was time I would have rather spent doing just about anything else.

Located on the University of Miami campus. We are glass art collectors and wanted to see the Palley Pavilion for Contemporary Glass. A very nice collection of some of the finest glass artists in the world.
Most of the museum was closed because they were getting ready for 2 new exhibitions.

The museum tour was awesome. Nice to see such a wide variety of artistic creations. My favorites were the glass blown creations and modern colorful paintings that mesmerized the senses. I meditated focusing on many of these images and am grateful for the opportunity. It will be amazing to collaborate with the museum to enhance learning through art for future nursing students.

The Coral Gables Museum is dedicated to the history of architecture and urban planning in Coral Gables, a 1920s planned community in Miami. The museum has extensive exhibits on the history of George Merrick and his dream of creating a Spanish village in Florida.
Had a wonderful evening supporting the Ausome Foundation for Autism Awareness month at the museum.

Great hidden gem in Coral Gables. I stumbled upon this place while walking off a huge meal from one of the nearby restaurants. I had no clue Coral Gables had so much character. I was able to catch part of the walking tour with the guide and she gave great background which helped fill in many gaps for me since I'm not from miami. The museum director John, also helped answer some questions for me.
Great experience.

Nice museum. Great location. The staff is outstanding. They have a few exhibit rooms, so if one is under construction the museum is a little light. We were in and out in 15 minutes, which is the only reason to drop a few stars. But if you are in the neighborhood it’s worth a visit. I think they have events there which would be a great venue.

There is a blend of historical charm with contemporary relevance that captures your attention because of the museum's mission to celebrate the unique architecture and environmental preservation of Coral Gables and delve into the broader cultural dynamics of the people and the area. Each exhibit is curated to offer insights into the city's fascinating history, from its founder, George Merrick, to the diverse present-day community. The museum's collections and temporary exhibitions showcase various subjects, including urban design, sustainable development, architecture, and historical artifacts that vividly depict the city's evolution.
A highlight is the museum's focus on the architecture of George Merrick, whose vision shaped the city's iconic aesthetic. The museum isn't just about looking back; it's a living part of the community. They recently honored ex-Mayor Dorthy Thompson. Educational programs, art workshops, and cultural events are regularly held, fostering a love for the arts and history, both young and old. The museum also actively collaborates with local artists and historians to create a space that is both a guardian of the past and a promoter of contemporary cultural discourse.
Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique experience, the Coral Gables Museum offers a window into the soul of this enchanting city. With each visit, you'll uncover new stories, engage with vibrant cultures, and leave with a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of Coral Gables.
The outstanding staff offers assistance and knowledge of the varied and unique exhibits. They have exhibitions every so often with different art and cultural themes. A fundraiser recently was a big hit where photo bombs were accepted with grace.

Very beautiful small museum in coral gables. Has about 10 rooms with art work. I was one of about 3 people there and it was a Sunday so it was not crowded at all. The staff are very nice. The entrance is $10 and when I left they asked if I could do a survey on my experience. The outside also has a staircase you can go up and see all of the buildings. Parking is on the side of the road, there's no parking lot.

Wonderful small museum, stop by if you’re in the neighborhood! In addition to the nice room of contemporary sculpture, there is a room about the history of Coral Gables and information about several projects the museum leads in the community. You won’t need hours and hours to see everything here, but it is 100% worth a visit.

Actors’ Playhouse is a quaint, historic theater. As a kid I would come here often with my Girl Scouts troop, but now I am here once ever 3-4 years. I love that they have stayed true to their history and have not changed the inside or the outside much. They offer great plays and the parking is convenient because there’s a garage right behind. Because its located right on Miracle Mile, finding lunch or dinner plans after or before the show is easy. I love this theater and it’s a fun place to bring the kids.

The older man who introduced the Junie B Jones show on April 1st is extremely rude. I happened to have come in late and didn't realize photos were not allowed even without flash. Well the man made it abundantly clear in an insulting way with my 7 year old nieces within earshot, ruining the musical for me. There are better ways to communicate, and I'm sure some of the 10 year old greeters coming into the theater could do a better job at ushering than this frustrated guy.

I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful wedding at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, Florida. The experience was truly memorable, thanks in part to the informative rehearsal two days prior.
The Church of the Little Flower is a picturesque venue with its charming architecture and serene surroundings. The wedding ceremony itself was a breathtaking affair, with the church's ornate interior creating a perfect backdrop for the couple's special day.
What stood out to me was the well-organized and informative rehearsal held two days before the wedding. It ensured that everyone knew their roles and the order of proceedings, making the actual ceremony smooth and enjoyable. Everyone was courteous and accommodating, making sure everything went off without a hitch.
The Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, Florida, offers a beautiful setting for weddings and events, and the added benefit of a thorough and helpful rehearsal made the entire experience even more special. It's a place I would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable and well-executed wedding ceremony.

The Church of the Little Flower was established in 1926 by a small group of Catholics in the newly established town of Coral Gables. The new parish was named in honor of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, known as "The Little Flower" and a temporary church was built in 1928. A boarding school was established by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1925. They had plans to expand it but the crash of the Florida land boom spurned on by two hurricanes and the Great Depression cancelled their plans. The sisters signed the deed to the the school over to the church. The school was renamed the St. Theresa School and it became a parochial school for the parish.
Father Thomas Comber, a missionary priest from Ireland, was charged with building the church. He envisioned something grand for the new church building but the lack of funds necessitated something more simple. The first church building was a parish center and auditorium that seated 800 and which was dedicated in 1928. It wasn't until 1951 that the present church got the ornate exterior that Father Comber desired. With the prosperity after WWII, Father Comber asked the Barry and Jay Company of Architects to build the church as he first envisioned it. The original 1920 plans were consulted and the church was built with stained glass windows designed by William Haley with the building in the ornate Spanish Renaissance style, to blend with the Mediterranean Revival architecture used by George Merrick when designing Coral Gables. The church was dedicated by Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley of Saint Augustine, Florida on December 8, 1952. It is still in use today. The church was renovated in 1987 and Comber Hall was renamed in honor of Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Comber, Little Flower's first pastor. Also in 1987, a new rectory was built across the street.
Today the Church of the Little Flower is a landmark in Coral Gables. In June 2019, Fr. Manny Alvarez was named the 9th Pastor of Church of the Little Flower and Saint Theresa School. The church has been associated with two presidential candidates, Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush.

There is no other church community like the Little Flower family. Attending Sunday mass is amazing! My favorite is Christmas! I love the homilies but my favorite part is the music and the ambience that is created. The versatility and melodies that come from the organ is phenomenal. Hands down to the Organist. Then the choir starts to sing suddenly it feels heavenly. Completely at peace. Honestly, no other place like Church of the Little Flower.

Carlos Cruz-Diez installations at Coral Gables City Hall, Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables Museum
World renowned, master artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, has been recognized for his focus on ephemeral interventions in urban spaces through the use of color spectrums to create illusionary effects and new chromatic environments.
Recognized by Art Basel Miami, the City of Coral Gables will showcase elements of Cruz-Diez works throughout downtown Coral Gables, including City Hall. Thirteen banners will be hung between each of the columns in front of City Hall, and eight crosswalks will be painted with original designs specifically done for this project. The pedestrian walkways will be used as an arrowhead to guide the public through the streets of the city leading up to the Coral Gables Museum, where photographs of the artist’s installations will be displayed. The outdoor chromatic environments will be on view from the end of November, 2017 through the end of January, 2018

The Coral Gables Merrick House is a museum that showcases the history of the city's founder, George Merrick. The house has been restored to its original 1925 condition, complete with furniture from that era. Visitors can learn about how the city was conceived through the eyes of Mr. Merrick. Despite negative reviews from some who found it boring or were disappointed by closures, others praise it as one of Miami's best museums and one of Coral Gables' finest landmarks.

As almost everyone with a partying bone in their body knows, this was Miami Music Week aka Ultra. Various world famous DJ's come to play in our hometown at multiple venues. I also try to schedule my PTO this weekend for a sort of staycation.
I'm somewhere between my mid and late 40's :) but I still need some magnitude of regular nights out. Instead of Ultra downtown, and in addition to the show at the Clevelander Friday night I came to the "Freestyle Explosion" concert here at my alma mater's on-campus arena.
The show was great! If you grew up during the mid 80's / early 90's especially in Miami, Chicago, the Bronx, LA you know the names: TKA, Lisa Lisa, Stevie B, the Cover Girls and Lil Suzy. Power 96 was the local sponsor and music took me back to afternoons in Westland Mall, sneaking into Casanova and other all ages clubs. Acoustics were pretty good; it's a good place for a 7000 - 8000 seat "specialty" concert.
They had plenty of bars and concession stands in the middle concourse, and the bar food I enjoyed (chicken tenders and house cut chips) were not too bad. They had run out of bbq sauce, and just had regular ketchup. They also didn't sell mojitos but I did enjoy a well-blended Hennessey & Coke, and they did sell Woodbridge Moscato.
One other thing that would have made it better is if they would have had an organized area for autographs and such. I did get to take a picture with LisaLisa though!

It is a splendid example of the architectural beauty that typifies Miami’s Master Suburb. Very calm place. There is no attraction, so if you want to have fun, it not right place. My kids said that it was boring and we left that place.

This tower is beautiful and historical. However, I wasn’t sure where to park because it located at a neighborhood and it didn’t really have a place to walk around the tower. Nevertheless, it is still good to visit for a quick drive through.

A little bit of history and architecture in a city full of both (Coral Gables). The tower is a work of art and makes for a good subject for those into photography.

The lighthouse that never seen the ocean is a great pit stop; however, it is in a residential area there is not a parking area.

A nice architecture of a lighthouse built in 1924 which are far away from the sea. This shape of a lighthouse is to cover the steel tank of water supply of the old Coral Gables

The Catholic Church is a central part of European and American culture. The St Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church in Coconut Grove is a beautiful, traditional parish with an alive spirit. The tone of the masses is traditional and the music is sung by nuns. The preaching emphasizes the importance of the Eucharist and you can receive communion on the tongue here. Another aspect is that there is outdoor perpetual adoration. Loved that. The parking lot here is large and free.
They have a very nice reception room across the street from the church. It's a great place for a wedding. I love the courtyard in front of the church. There is sitting outside on the Eastside, Great for little ones that can't sit still during church or if you need fresh are but don't want to miss mass.

This Church is where I was baptized, did my first Communion and Confirmation we would walk to Church every Sunday with my parents great fond memories.

We came here while we were on vacation from Illinois.
The church was very beautiful and had a spirit of being an alive parish. There was no postmodern art here.
The tone of mass was traditional. The music was sang by nuns, the preaching emphasized the importance of the Eucharist, and you could receive communion on the tongue.
Another aspect was that there was outdoor perpetual adoration. Loved that. The priest encouraged the parish to visit Jesus in the Eucharist every day and not to live in fear.
And, if you are concerned about parking. The parking lot here is large and free.

Small and intimate church settings, great for weddings (was the only reason I’ve been). Everything ran smoothly and bride and groom even rode away in an antique (shown in picture) “just married” car!

Phillips Park is a recreational area situated in the outskirts of Miami, featuring various amenities such as tennis courts, a ball field, and basketball court. A children's playground is also available for young ones to enjoy. The park has a swing and hook lock entrance with no dogs allowed on the premises. There's a black top track suitable for running or walking, along with several picnic tables located near clean bathrooms where visitors can enjoy their meals while relaxing under the veranda shade.
Great park with tennis courts, basketball courts, a field for football or soccer, and swingsets and junglegyms for the kids.

Nice gated park in the outskirts of Miami. Front gate entrance is a swing and hook lock, push in to open gate. No dogs allowed. There is a black top track inside for running. Basketball courts and children swing sets. There also a nice veranda next to bathrooms with picnic tables to enjoy your meal. Fairly clean bathrooms. Parking could be a challenge though.

Good playground, field requires better maintenance but that's a big problem across every park in Miami. One of the better parks in a city with such disappointing parks for it's size and year round weather.
Alejandro Gomez Ujfalussy — Google review
I can believe that the tennis court is still in this condition. This place is one of the few spots in the area to play tennis and the city has totally neglected it. The net is too deteriorated and there is not enough light since the trees are not properly trimmed. It's a shame for "The city of Beautiful"

I had a long wait to catch a flight and decided to hang out at this park. It was a wonderful experience. The park was clean, had covered areas with tables so you could have a meal, clean toilets and a play area for the young ones.

A great place to take your kids to play or even for a quick run around the field. There's also benches where you can just relax and enjoy the outside air.

This is a small park in Coral Gables, centric, with free parking all around. It has a playground for kids, a couple well-maintained tennis courts, a basketball court, and even a roofed social area with bathrooms next to it. The reason why I cannot give it 5 stars is because the center area, which we use to play Ultimate Frisbee and other groups to play soccer, is not well maintained. It is really uneven, with grass mixed with parts of sand or dirt, and bunches of grass and small rocks. It would be great if they reconditioned the grass area.

Every tree in this serene environment is marked and identified, providing visitors with informative insights into different trees from around the world. Additionally, there is a sustainable garden within the premises that adds to its beauty.
It's so beautiful here! Love all the plants and wildlife. There's also a sustainable garden.

Small park on the UM campus. Peaceful, tranquil, dog-friendly ( on-leash !! ). If you need a break from the noise and bustle of south Florida, head here. Easy to find, alot of parking ( it was free when we went ), and short trails to walk around. Wheelchair accessible. Numerous plants shrubs bushes and trees from around the world, including a community sustainable garden. And the abundant and different flowers are amazing.

There are beautiful trees and some seats to have a quiet time there. Squirrels running around makes it feel more alive. A bit small though, and walking trails are short.

Teatro Trail, a historic theater in Miami, offers live Spanish-language performances in an intimate setting. The diverse shows are well-acted and captivating, though the building itself is old-fashioned. It's recommended to book tickets ahead of time as some shows sell out quickly. The bar serves drinks and snacks for cash only, and valet parking is available due to the venue's location.
The place is old but nice, since it is on the smaller scale I don’t think you can get a bad seat, still able to view the stage just fine. Have been here a few times for performances, easy to get to, service is great! Inside they have food and drinks. Clean. Valet parking just a breeze.
Claudia Gonzalez — Google review
The theater is excellent, awesome performance always, but the valet parking sucks, at the end for sure you gonna wait 45 minutes for your car. They are too busy parking the people for the next act, so is better be early and find a parking by yourself.
onaydis hernandez — Google review
Small and cozy, you are close to the performers for a great experience. The parking is the issue for me, when I have to pay almost half the cost of an event ticket to park there.
danlmt — Google review
If you like live acting and you don't mind an old building this is the place for you. Performances are varied, typically in spanish language and a fast "Cuban" spanish at that. The acting is superb. The charm of the old theater and its old seats are surely present. Book your seats early as some of the performances sell out fast. Bring cash for drinks from the bar plus any snacks you want. Valet parking is available and recommended due to the location of the venue. It is definitely a must do while in Miami. Before or after your theater, go have dinner at local restaurants.

Teatro Trail is a hidden gem. Located in Calle Ocho between the cities of Coral Gables and Miami. The place is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The place was clean and kept an image from yesteryears. The only drawback was that there was not much space in the lobby for waiting or any seats available for resting or having a conversation while waiting for the event to start. Also, there weren't many bathroom spaces available and during the intermission, they were crowded.
But the overall experience was nice and I would highly recommend it.

I went to see Pinter albeiro show and that guy is amazing omg, he is the best. But the review is about the theater and wow very bad experience since if you don’t have cash you can’t buy anything, now a day a lot of people or basically 99% of the people use cards. Also the seats are very close to the other and they are not comfortable, and they are very very old seats. Didn’t like the theater experience.

Although is an expensive place if we want to buy something to eat, is a immersive and full of shinning experience. Also, I've not seen a parking service so fast in their job.

Small antique in the heart of Little Habana. The shows are more personal in this space. Parquing and food have to be paid in cash, and no cards are accepted.

On Sunday, Nov 19,2023 while my wife and I were at the theater to attend a show we sadly observed how disrespectful, and unprofessional a male usher & a lady that claimed to be the owner treated disable customer. The both even when to the extend to question the customer if he really was disable...such a disgrace, not too mention that such action is totally unacceptable & not legal in U.S. as per ADA. It was clear to not just us but to other customers that the theater don't have the proper accommodations for disable customers, but most importantly that the treatment that the disable customer received was totally unacceptable. Furthermore, please take notice that the disable customer and company was forced to leave the theater. We would no longer attend any events a this theater!! I sincerely hope that the disable customer files a complaint with ADA.

93/100: Excellent
Short: Excellent show and hosting of catarsis salon.
Long: Probably it needs more signs but the service, the staff is friendly and attentive. They are one step ahead and they make you feel comfortable. Do not expect a fancy place, remember this is a theater.
I will recommend it for a specific show or stand up comedy.

Every time I visit this place I had a great time, full of laughs. I went to watch a play named "Tres viudas en un crucero". This is a Spanish play, specially dedicated for the Cuban Community and all the people who lives in Hialeah, because they make comments all the time about things and problems that they have because of living where they live. I promise you will have an awesome time here. Also during the play you can drink or have some food while watching these three excellent artists acting as the professional comedian they are. The staff is very kind, efficient, friendly and professional.
This is also the theater where you can watch the Alexis Valdes comedies. In my opinion he is one of the best comedians in the world, specially when he create a script for playing in theaters. He always talks about what is happening at the moment in the world, and makes you laugh with his reflections and his advices. He is wonderful. Her next play is scheduled for May. The name of this new play is "Oficialmente Gay 3: Operacion Korea", and I can't wait to see it.
Also you can buy the tickets for the plays online, at the Teatro Trial webpage. Even if you need to reschedule your tickets, the theater staff is always willing to help you.
I hardly recommend this place.
