The weekend flea market in Maui, known as the Maui Exposition, features a diverse range of vendors selling food, crafts and other wares. With over 200 booths to browse through, visitors can find cheaper prices than some other locations on popular items such as tomatoes and pineapples. Although there is an admission fee of $0.50 per person for adults (kids are free), parking is plentiful and easy to access.
For some reason tomatoes 🍅 are extremely expensive in Maui. $4 for four. But at this market, it was only $4 for 10. I loaded up on fruits and vegetables. The golden pineapples were $3 here versus $8 in Kauai. They taste very fragrance and delicious. There is an entrance fee of $0.50 per person, free for kids. Parking is easy and abundance. Restrooms are portal potties. Lots of clothing shops. About a few groceries tents. Some shave ice and drinks shops. Fun place to spent the Saturday morning. Bring your own bags to carry home the goods.

Lots to see, buy, and eat. No better way to spend your Saturday mornings. 50 cent entrance fee is the best bargain of the swap meet.
Probably one of the best places to get your produce. Great deli on Mangoes, papayas, and avacados.

I didn't have enough time to look and shop. There is so much culture oozing from the many shops. The are food vendors as well, yummy to my tummy. I brought trinkets, souvenirs, decor, clothing and a hand bag. I just couldn't decide, there was so much to choose from. The island beauty is represented in many of the items.

Nice variety of vendors with very friendly staff. Overall very nice place ro shop. Prices seem just a tad high for an out door vendor

Huge swap meet or Flea market or whatever you want to call it.
Costs only 50 cents to get in and there are spots for over 600 vendors.
You find food, drink, snack, vegetable, clothing, jewelry, art and a whole whack of other goods, services and products here.
Something different to fill up a couple hours if time.

Super fun flea market and Farmers market on Saturday mornings. There are a few food trucks, coffee stands, lemonade made with organic cane juice, as well as farm stands with lots of fresh fruit and veg. In addition to souvenirs and t-shirts and Beach cover ups, there are artisans with jewelry, hand carved pendants and statues, hand-turned wooden bowls, gorgeous photography, potters.... Really a mix of everything. 50 cents to get in. So fun!

There are so many vendors. You can get just about anything, fresh fruits and vegetables, brownies, lemonade, crafts, cloths, amazing hammocks, fresh coconuts, jewelry, bags and some amazing art work. It's is also super convenient with tons of parking and it only costs fifty cents to enter.

We buy most of our produce at the Maui Swap Meet every Saturday! Go early if you want a good selection and to avoid the crowds, be aware that the prices go up in January, substantially from November.
Also great shopping for jewelry, food items, unusual finds and Hawaiian style clothing.
If you arrive after 8am, it may appear as though there's limited parking, but if you drive up front where you think you're least likely to find a spot, there will be many open spaces! (People who arrived early, leave early)
The MACC is a large entertainment facility on Maui that offers both indoor and outdoor stages for various art performances, including ballet, theatre, comedy shows, concerts and dance performances. Additionally, the center has an art gallery and dance studios for guests to enjoy. Known as a gathering place for the community to celebrate creativity in shared experiences of the arts, it hosts famous comedians, musical groups and art shows.
I recently attended a performance at the theater there. I was impressed with the layout which contributed to gathering together with the other attendees. Both before and after. I also was very pleased with my seat and the sound and lighting were also wonderful. I’m visually impaired, so all of that makes a difference a big difference. All in all I would definitely keep going back to events at the theater.

Fabulous concert with the Maui Pops and stars from Broadway playing music from Disney! The acoustics were excellent and the staff were very helpful and kind. Mahalo

Went here for a concert, and had the best time ever. Easy enough to park, and get through security. Had all the amenities; drink, food, and plenty of restrooms. The view of the stage was great from general admission for over 21. Hands down the performance was spectacular! The set up of the stage and the way the music sounded was on point.

Typical swap meet, flea market.. 75 cents admission fee, non-issue. Parking is very accessible, and plenty room to walk around. Miscellaneous prices everywhere, each vendor sets their own. Lots of fresh fruits, and imported Chinese items. Not too many authentic items, but decent enough for some souvenirs for your loved ones.

Really cool venue! Went for a concert and it was Grand! What a lovely view at sunset.
They get to have more food trucks but it didn't take away from the experience.
Highly recommended!!

This place is amazing. Purchase dinner from a select menu with very reasonable prices, then sit and enjoy the wonderful Maui weather. Alcohol is plentiful with a very large bar and fast, friendly bartenders. Go inside and watch the show. Seats are comfortable. View is great from any seat. Lots of parking spots too. I live on Maui, and I've been here several times. Aloha!

Great concert and event venue. We have seen Steven Tyler, Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, 311, Willie, Lukas, Micah Nelson, Rebelution, Slightly Stupid, and several other amazing performances here. They used to show free children's movies before COVID.

This venue is tried and true. Large enough for a crowd of 5000, this afternoon-to-evening fundraiser, for Maui fire victims delivered, for 3000- supporters, neighbors, and family members. Hosted by Henry Kapono with incredible talents like Amy Hanaiali'i, Tavana, Brother Noland, Kalapana, and Robert Cazimero, it was truly, an incredible event and a worthy cause. Offering terrific food trucks, great security staff, and commerative merchandise, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center provided an unforgettable experience for our united community.

The MACC is incredible. There is nothing like the cool nites outside listening to music under the stars and some incredible bands play there… some from the islands like The Green or some from the mainland like country band Old Dominion. The inside theaters are very nice as well for smaller stages.

Wonderful cultural gem of a venue and special event space for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. We recently saw Bonnie Raitt perform there. Magical night with her. Pay for the on-site parking, worth it. Tip: stay to right when entering for the vip parking on site. Golden Circle , or above, sooo worth it.

Updated review 2/16/219:
VIP tickets for the UB40 concert with Josh Tatofi and Katchafire as opening guest musicians.
Josh Tatofi and his crew were incredibly talented with several tunes of various genres! Such a beautiful voice and great musicians. I would definitely pay to see them perform again.
Katchafire came from New Zealand and were very disappointing. Every song sounded like the one before and it all seemed like a loud blur.
The biggest disappointment was UB40. We all waited 45 minutes for the band to set up, only to hear a loud blur of noise and echo. Not a single song was recognizable. We left early, as did our friends. We stayed through rain and instrument changes, paid $100 extra for each of us for VIP tickets, only for a dud of a concert. Not worth it and never again.
The venue is nice, lots of security, helpful staff and good food, although overpriced beverages.
Parking cost is atrocious. $25 in the MACC parking lot and $10 in every overflow parking lot. Money making opportunities for the MACC at every turn. A bit much.
2017:
We started out the year with Kris Kristofferson and a surprise guest performance by Willie Nelson and just enjoyed The California Honey Drops and Bonnie Raitt!! Beautiful Venue, well organized and perfect weather!

Unsafe venue! I went to the Old Dominion concert and there was a guy sitting behind us and trying to fight the people around us. I thought security escorted him out but he came right back after trying to punch an elderly man. He then also tried to punch me and I’m a young girl in my twenties. I told security what happened and they would not remove him. I ended up having to leave the venue as the guy behind me kept threatening me. Very sad this venue doesn’t keep people safe.

Saw Nick Swardson in the Castle theater. Smaller venue, so just about all good seats. Food and cocktails available. A little chilly inside, bring a light sweatshirt or jacket. Bigger concerts are usually outside on the lawn.
We were able to try lots of great local food vendors with a wide variety of choices both sweet and savory. Think food truck expo on steroids. They had great music playing.

Mostly had food trucks, ordered teriyaki garlic noodles $12, was too salty. Tried grilled cheese with fries for kids was ok. We also ordered Loco Moco way too salty and could not eat, wasn’t worth the drive we had from Kihei. Local vendors and very small but not much shopping if that’s what you’re looking for.

Love the vibes!
Great food, enough seating, great live music, cute and unique tchotchkes like one of a kind croc charms
Some food trucks included: traditional Hawaiian food, plate lunch, Filipino food like chicken adobo, mochi, Moloka’i bread (with amazing cream fillings like ube!), Caribbean food, tacos & elotes, etc.
I wish there was a place to see vendors beforehand & that there were more vegetarian options. I took vegetarian friends here, not knowing what to expect, and they didn’t have many options to eat a meal (just corn and Caesar salad 😞). They still enjoyed themselves

Great spot for local fun. Delicious food, vendors and the best part: live music 👍🌺🎶

Make sure that you know what to expect so that you set your expectations appropriately because this is much smaller than the Saturday Market. This is mostly food trucks and live music with a few craft booths. That being said, it's a relaxing place to grab dinner on a Sunday and listen to some tunes before heading to the beach to watch the sunset!
Brian Thomas — Google review
I love this place. It has so many options in one spot and it's kinda a locals spot more than a touristy option. Lots of the vendors here are small business owners so they really put there Hart and soul in to the food or products. They have everything from local BBQ to southern style BBQ you can also get some great Hawaiian plates or food to Puerto Rican food. There are vendors with local made sweets and treats and some people with local made jewelery and some with plants for sale. It is a great option for family night , date night or just to grab some good locally made food. Check it out if you get some time. I don't think you will be sorry. Just make sure you bring some cash most but not all the vendors take cards. And don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone with the food. Lots of stuff is really good. Well till next week. See ya there !!!!

The Maui Nui Botanical Gardens is a seven-acre garden that showcases native and Polynesian-introduced plants of Hawaii. Visitors can take self-guided walking tours or follow a guide to learn about conservation, natural history, and cultural uses of various Hawaiian plants. The garden also hosts an annual Arbor Day community event where attendees receive trees or plants to take home, while informative booths provide information on conservation, national parks, proper planting, pruning techniques and more.
I highly recommend the docent-led tour! We learned how important plants were to the original Polynesians, and their myriad uses. It was informative, and so interactive that the teen in our group never had a chance to pull out her phone.

A very beautiful garden. It is not a garden with lots of flowers - more focus on knowledge and how each plant has been used for medicine, dyes, infrastructure, etc. Staff was very friendly and this is a must go if you like to learn about the local culture instead of a touristy destination.

We were looking to kill a little time before our flight home with something interesting and off the beat and path (for Maui at least), and the gardens to did not disappoint. It's self-guided with an app you download on your phone. Walk through the gardens and scan the QR code by a plant that interests you and it tells you the story about it. The garden is well-maintained and peaceful. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and seem to care about what they do. A great way to spend an hour in Kahului.
Maui Mall is a charming open-air shopping center that offers an array of casual restaurants, fashionable boutiques, unique souvenir shops and a cinema hall where you can catch Sunday-morning Polynesian performances. It's an ideal destination to spend quality time with your children as they'll have a blast playing the Jurassic Park game and experiencing the Typhoon motion ride, which features fans to add to the excitement.
Went to see the movie and it's really beautiful and clean inside the theater.
The service at the counter to buy snacks were great. It was fast and great service.

It had nothing to offer unfortunately. Came here on a cruise and it offers nothing. The stores are basic like Ross, and TJ Maxx. No tourist attractions or welcome center. No tours offered, no rentals etc. I should have booked and excursion if no tours are offered! Nothing beautiful to see, just industrial and buildings. Bad choice carnival cruises.

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon. This is a very cool open air mall. The time was about 11 a.m. and not very much was open yet. We tried to go to the Mexican restraunt but the doors were locked. There was a market going on in the center with lots of fresh fruits and flowers. This felt like a great local place! The Arcade was very clean and had games I had not seen before. If we were not hungry we would have stopped and played. We went in a few shops but prices did seem on the high end.

If you're looking for a convenient and diverse shopping experience in Maui, the Maui Mall Village is a great destination. Located in Kahului, the mall is easily accessible from most areas of the island and offers plenty of parking.
The mall features a mix of national and local retailers, including clothing stores, beauty and wellness shops, and a variety of restaurants and food options. The movie theater is also a popular destination, with comfortable seats and a great selection of movies.
One thing that really stood out to me was the variety of events and activities held at the mall. From live music performances to food festivals, there's always something happening at the Maui Mall Village. This adds to the overall experience and makes it a fun destination for locals and tourists alike.
The mall also features a well-stocked grocery store, which is convenient for picking up essentials or stocking up on snacks for a day of exploring the island. The parking lot is also well-lit and feels safe, which is important for visitors traveling with families.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Maui Mall Village to anyone looking for a convenient and diverse shopping experience in Maui. The mix of national and local retailers, variety of dining options, and fun events make it a must-visit destination.

Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary is a natural area located amidst coastal wetlands that provides shelter for several native bird species. This peaceful oasis, situated near the airport, offers visitors the opportunity to observe indigenous birds such as nenes, Hawaiian stilts, northern shovelers and Pacific plovers. The sanctuary features a small parking lot and a short walk to a covered shelter overlooking the pond.
A favorite of ours to visit on the day we leave. Near the airport. Peaceful, never many people. Always see birds. Small parking lot. Short walk to covered shelter that juts out into pond. An oasis of calm amid busy streets and shops.

Love this place to visit before we go back to mainland. Near airport. A pair of nenes were in the small parking lot with a gosling. We carefully without stressing them shepherded them back through the gate and into the Refuge. Saw Hawaiian stilts, about a dozen northern shovelers!, And a single shorebird: Pacific plover? Have to look later at the photos we took. Simply a lovely short walk and virtually no one is usually there. Relaxing

Stopped here to kill time before another event. As it is close to the Kahului Airport we drove by not sure what it was. We had to look it up. There's a gated pathway leading to an observation building. A small cement building with open views on all sides and a bench to sit on and stay shaded. It was super windy over the water, which felt nice and gave the birds something to play on. We saw fish burrowing in the mud in the shallow waters. Plus TONS of small fish swimming around and in schools. The Ae'o (Hawaiian stilt) were standing in the waters scooping the fish up. They were so cool. Then I turned around and a 'Auku'u (black crowned night heron) was just a few feet from me sitting on what appeared to be a nest. I didn't even see it land. Beautiful bird. Then it took flight and we watched it glide for a bit appearing to be hunting over the water before flying off. Last we saw 3 'Alae ke' oke'o (Hawaiian coot) gliding and landing in the shallow waters. They even landed lining up like ducks in a row before taking off again. So cool watching them fly around. It was so peaceful and we were glad we stopped to check it out. I would recommend bringing binoculars and wearing a hat to shade your eyes for better viewing of the animals. Only wish there were more areas to visit, but understand that's it's a preserve meant to be undisturbed. Sorry, I only took video of the 3 coots.

Maui Marketplace is a local shopping center that offers casual dining, banking services, coffee shops, hardware stores, apparel outlets and office supply facilities. The mall has been around for a long time and while it lacks in terms of variety in stores such as Barnes and Noble or Borders, it still remains a popular location with the community. A shell of the mall that it once was, but that's pretty normal in this era. Lowe's gone, borders gone, Jamba juice gone... among many others. Here's a few decent new tenants that have moved in but there are still many vacancies. Restrooms are almost always a disaster.
I remember when they opened this center with free food, a concert and fireworks. At least it's still operating and designationally bring in a couple decent tenants. If one of the businesses you're looking for is here, it's a century located location with plenty of parking.
Kahului Community Center Park spans 34 acres and features a pool, sports amenities, playgrounds, and restrooms. The park boasts a scenic perimeter trail, tennis courts with lighting, and an impressive disc golf course. On the north side of the park are two multipurpose fields and restroom facilities. This beautiful park has a great perimeter trail, a playground, tennis courts with lights, and an awesome disc golf course. There are two multi use fields and bathrooms on the north side. There is also a community center building that can be reserved for functions like birthdays or graduation parties. I went her for the disc golf course. The first 4 holes were easy to navigate, but then it got hard. I was able to figure out the next 4 holes by using an app where people post pictures of the tee, and baskets. Not all tees have a marker, or pad. Most have a piece of carpet as a tee, which works if you can find it.
I ended up walking the next few hole to see if I could figure it out for a potential next visit. As I was walking to my car a guy asked how I liked the course, and if I found my way. I told him my experience, and then we hung out for 30 minutes just chatting about life. He was a cool dude, which is why I have it 3 stars instead of 2. He also told me that his group/ club meet up through out the week to play. Check them out in Facebook.

Aloha! I go often to scoop my preordered groceries or PETCO & there are several restaurants… some good, some not but…
The parking is dicey and restaurant visibility & access are not quite obvious which is unfortunate.
Recent opening of Chick Fillet draws traffic to the opposite end of the lot which is winked, too. Closest to them is Planet Fitness which seems interesting!
There’s very little signage so even I don’t know many of the shops. due to parking & maneuvering, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to check your map to see who’s where so you can plan your route.

I love Target, what I enjoy is reward for shopping you rack up just for shopping then you can use it when you want to no rules or expiration so hassle free! I also enjoy the clean easy access store. The employees are great easy order pickup options, also they have a load up your car option although I have not used this option yet for those if you who have-- AWESOME 🎉👍. GREAT prices, always new items.

Went to Home Depot to get replacement light bulbs for the kitchen. Then went to Chick-fil-A for a late lunch with my wife. Waffles fries are the bomb.

Who ever designed the parking lots here should never have received a civil engineering degree.
Kahului Bay is a prominent tourist spot in Kahului, featuring the expansive Kahului Harbor with frequent sightings of massive cruise ships. Additionally, several hotels are situated along the bay's shorelines, complemented by scenic walking paths carved into the rocky terrain.
Kahului Harbor was the best 🤙🏽

Small, slightly disorganized terminal. Hardly any amenities. Nice view though.

Disappointed that the port authority Can’t get it together, to process a scheduled cruise ship arrival, 1 hour late and we’re now still can’t disembark!

There is about 1/4 mile walk to the parking lot where Uber can pick you up.

The same inspections as those for entering and leaving the country are conducted on each island.

Second Wind Sail Surf & Kite is a retail store located in a strip-mall that offers an extensive range of water-based sports gear and clothing. The shop provides rentals and lessons for various activities, including surfing, sailing, and kiteboarding. In addition to the stock of equipment available for purchase, customers can also rent high-quality gear to use during their chosen water sport. The store is suitable for individuals who are seeking to learn or improve their skills in any of these popular aquatic sports.
Love this shop! It's hard to find a great shop for any sport or hobby, but this place is the real deal. I did a lot of shopping online for my first full kiteboarding kit: Kite, bar/lines, harness, safety vest, board, travel bag... Second Wind had the best prices and comes with local service if you need it. Knowledgeable staff, who actually get out and use the equipment along with great prices and no high pressure sales. Now that I'm getting ready to move back to the mainland, they even gave me an option to help out with shipping my equipment.
Used sporting good stores can be hit or miss. Most are just glorified pawn/thrift shops. Second Wind staff actually know more about the local conditions, have a better knowledge base in general and have better service for the sport than the regular shops in town! Second Wind has been a total win for me! Definitely worth your time to drop by. :)

Rented gear from Second Wind Maui 2 years in a row, same great service from all staff members! The owner Kevin is a pleasure to deal with and extremely knowledgeable about local wind and wave conditions. He always put my needs first by checking weather forecasts daily and advising which days were the best to rent gear. I rented a surfboard and kiteboarding equipment. The gear was new and in excellent condition. Even better Kevin’s store is less than 5 minutes from the beach, it couldn’t be more convenient if you need to rent additional equipment. Thank you for several magical days on the water Kevin, look forward to renting from you and your team on my next trip to Maui.

On my recent trip to Maui I used Second Wind to rent my Wing Foiling gear for a few days during my one week trip. Kevin & Jay were very informative and provided exactly the right set-up for my skills and despite some iffy winter wind conditions, I enjoyed two great days of foiling during my one week trip. I'm so glad I didn't bother dragging my gear through the airports and I can't wait to get back to Maui!!

When we dinged part of the Thule roof rack on our rental, this place saved our hides! Excellent prices (cheaper than anywhere online I could find!). The kindest guy let us borrow the tools to switch out our parts, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Need some truck racks? Don't look anywhere else, Second wind is the place to go, not only was there a in stock large selection to choose from, the I installation is also included. Ian provided accurate and helpful information. Not only did Ian help me select the perfect product, he installed the 1000lb capacity racks effortlessly and timely. Great job and service, highly recommend these guys!

Awesome experience! I went here to get a kayak/board rack for my truck. They had a great selection and were super helpful with helping me choose the right one. They even install it free, but the timing didn't work out as I got there later than needed to get it done same day. Regardless I took it home and installed the next day in less than 30 min by using the tips they provided. Mahalo for your help!

Had a great experience with Second Wind. Bought a used board from them and despite the small shipping issues we have faced, Kevin and his team responded proactively and made a specific additional rebate on the overall pricing. Board was as expected and works very well. thanks to them

Kevin was amazing! I mistakenly helped a friend move a small piece of furniture on my yakima racks and found one of my towers had moved and the racks were compromised...about to fall off actually. Kevin stepped up big time and spent a huge amount of time working on my racks and making sure they were reinstalled correctly. Thanks Kevin!!
Beautiful church. Very friendly.

Really nice Catholic church! They have many different Mass times, and the community is active. Plenty of parking. The chairs are cushioned, which is comfortable. Decor is more modern though and a little bland; I prefer the elaborate decorated Catholic churches.

Was here on Easter pre Covid on the NCL cruise. Entire congregation was extremely warm and welcoming to us. We never forgot their generosity to us as they let our children participate in their Easter egg hunt activities even though we weren't regular attendees. Thank you all so much!

Very nice and welcoming Catholic community. We were amazed by their hospitality and gentleness.
During their vacation on the island of Maui, a couple decided to attend Kahului Baptist Church. They had heard about this church through The Gospel Coalition website and were pleased to discover that it aligns with the principles of 9 Marks. The couple found great joy in hearing Randy preach the gospel, and if they lived on the island, they would regularly attend this church.
I was recommended to this church by a close friend. I've attended one Sunday service and a few informal bible study sessions so far. I have never felt like a stranger. Everyone I've met there has been genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Pastor Bill and Deacon Paula are truly inspiring and encouraging teachers of God's word :-)

My wife and I were visiting the island on vacation and wanted to visit a church in Maui since we were on the Island Sunday. We ended up finding Kahului Baptist Church on the TGC website (I believe they are also a 9 marks church as well). We were filled with joy hearing the gospel preached from Randy and would regularly attend this church if we lived on the island. If you are looking for a church that proclaims God's word, then this is a wonderful church to join. Thank you Kahului Baptist for welcoming us into your church the weekend we visited.
