I don't really care for museums. But this was a very eye evening, heart wrenching, and educational visit. I'm going back tomorrow to see the rest of it. It was such a beautiful place and a great reminder of how lucky we are as a nation because of the sacrifices the men and women in uniform made for us. I would add more pictures but it's better to experience it in person. All the employees were just so kind.

So much to learn. Truly an amazing museum. Could spend hours learning and walking back in time to see the past. The artwork is stunning. The statues are life like. If you have an opportunity to visit, invite a veteran or current soldier so personal and so many real life stories. A must see on your Ft. Benning visit. It is free to see but please be generous and make a nice donation.

Great museum located at Ft. Moore, Ga. Lots of exhibits outside. There is a WWII company street that is awesome. If you’re into military history, or even just history, then this is the place for you. This museum does a great job thoughtfully covering the history of the USA Infantry from inception to modern times. The displays are amazing and the artifacts are plentiful. I really enjoyed the modern exhibit and the WWI exhibit. The entry is free but I would recommend giving a donation by either cash or card. There’s a great gift shop and food options as well. Make sure you give yourself a few hours to really be able to see everything.

This museum is AWESOME. It is free of charge but they appreciate tips. It was so much fun and my kids enjoyed it. We spent about 2 hours there. It is 3 levels and wheelchair accessible.

This is the best free museum I've ever been to (donations only)! It's 3 floors very big and an extremely nice. I was very impressed. There is a theater inside along with concession area that sales food so many thing to read and see you will need a couple hours to see everything and there is even an outside area and courtyard with many facts! This museum is huge and many awards hang in the ceiling in the front entrance and I can see why. It was also very clean and friendly staff, this is a definite must if your in the Columbus area. It's literally a top 5 museum and also they offer rooms for events and weddings. Add it to your bucket list!

This is a simply amazing place. It is an interactive history of the United States infantry. It has many exhibits showing you the strength of our nations premier fighting force. The grounds of the parade field is laden with the soil from every battle since the American revolution. That way every soldier walks in the footsteps of those who have gone before. Totally worth a visit to see how your freedom is defended. Hooah!

Amazing! I haven't been back to Benning since the end of the 90's. This wasn't there when I was stationed or went back for training. However, we were passing through the Columbus area with our children in a family trip so, we thought we'd show them the old stomping grounds! We saw this was there now and decided to visit. Wow! They really did a wonderful job of curation and presentation. I truly can not overstate it enough that it is worth your time (it's free so, no money).

The National Infantry Museum Is Very Awesome! It was great, interesting, and enjoyable to go there to learn all the history, and see all the models. The simulator was very fun too. Without any doubt I strongly recommend The National Infantry Museum because it's more than just a great fun adventure it's a great opportunity to take advantage of! Have a great day!

This place is amazing. Plan an entire day for this. Great movies. Outside there are WW2 Barracks, a church, etc. That's open on weekends.
There are tanks, a Vietnam Memorial that's smaller but just like D.C.
Soldiers from every war and conflict are honored. I need to go back because I didn't get to walk through it all. If you show up on certain data days, you can watch a live graduation of US Army Infantry Soldiers ( why I was there). The graduation is amazing and quite moving. I'd recommend going on one of those days.

The museum is awesome, easily rivaling anything the Smithsonian has to offer. There is so much more here than I thought so I didn't plan my visit very well and only got through half of the museum. If you are in the area and like military history in particular Army Infantry history, you have to visit, it won't disappoint. I think is free, but donations are accepted.

Fantastic and free museum. Its great, has amazing captured history, the dioramas were so intricate. The flow and design were smart and layed out well. Bathrooms clean, paintings were some of the best I've seen depicting incredible scenarios. Its one of the best museums I've visited. Must see if you're in this area.

We actually went for a JROTC field trip, so the museum was closed to the public while we were there, but I definitely plan to return since we didn't get to see everything. The exhibits are really nice and well organized. They also have a Vietnam memorial and a War on Terror memorial outside that are very nice. They offer supplies to make rubbings from these memorials. The staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We had a great experience!
Would like to add that admission is free, but a small donation ($5) is suggested per visitor.

One of the best museums I have been too! Each exhibit room was well laid out and provided so much information. My favorite part was going up the walkway to the 2nd floor. The visuals were so realistic and well thought out. We will be back!! We were there for the Iraq war Symposium.

Highly recommend visiting this place if your in Columbus ga. Definitely one of the best places we visited on our day trip. Looking for a budget friendly place for families they have no cost but accept donations.

An unplanned visit turned out to be an astonishing one. There is a lot to take in, we were there for couple hours before closing time, realized we barely covered half of it. Triggers several prominent events of history right through the artifacts.
The entire set up is incredible. You get to see most of the artilleries , gain knowledge on what US military goes through in a normal day or on a warlike situation. View the trails and techniques that were undergone in the history. They got a setup to offer near real-time experience of the conditions that US military had been through in the war.
There are heart wrenching, eye opening moments while looking at Japan flag with autographs of soldiers, saddam’s gold gun and many many more.
Staff members are so friendly and helpful at every instance.
There is a lot more to cover and would want to spare a whole day to visit again.
On top of all, there is no cost of ticket. It’s absolutely and totally FREE of cost. Just walk right in. Must visit place in GA.

Very well designed museum. Lot of good exhibits and information. Plenty of parking and good access. It's just outside the post so all can access it.
It covers the history of Infantry from day one to modern day.
Plan on a good 2 - 3 hours to walk through at a reasonable pace.
Free, but donations are appreciated.

Was probably the best museum I have ever been to, and our family has been to dozens of museums. I will say this, "I was so absorbed into the displays, recreation of the scenes and actual information provided that 4 hours seemed like mere minutes." It was an absolute treasure trove of information, history where even the random staff would stop and talk to you, ask questions and give you real world information of "how" the display came to the museum. Amazing job!!

This is the first class museum that is under appreciated. It should be on everybody's go to list when it comes to learning about not just the United States. Infantry, but the army as well. It's easy to spend an entire day in there.

This is my first time to visit this place and I was in awe. The museum has several galleries and has very interesting displays to look and stories to read. It took me 2hours to finish my visit, but actually will take more than that if you truly and hearthily read all of it. The museum visit is of free admission, but a minimum of $5 per person is appreciated as donation. Outside you can visit a memorial site, an old train, combat vehicles and etc. It is located Fort Moore, Columbus, Georgia.

One of the best museums we have ever visited - and it's free..?
Very informative and broken down by the eras.
Free public WiFi, too.
Plan for 3-4 hours to at least experience anything. There is a free 15 minute film in the main exhibits area that is also highly recommended..!
There were some outdoor exhibits, too.
HIGHLY recommended to visit!

We were here for a basic training graduation. The ceremony was small, inside and nice. We were able to tour the museum afterwards and I definitely recommend. My children 7 and 9yo didn't want to spend as much time as I did... but they aren't veterans. Very emotive displays/exhibits. I didn't see all of it, as I was being dragged through the lower portion. You cannot bring even water bottles inside... though, I was able to check it and pick it up as I left! Everyone was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Worth the stop if you have any interest military, any family or friends who are veterans, or just want a little insight into some of America's history.

My family and I had the blessing of being able to experience the National Infantry Museum recently while in town for army purposes. There was lots to see and learn about. I appreciated how great it was organized and displayed. It was close enough to the base for easy travel and with all the outdoor space, it offers a great opportunity for kiddos to run and explore a bit.

The National Civil War Naval Museum is a historical museum that showcases Navy ships used in the Civil War with reenactments and ghost tours. The museum features informative plaques and diagrams about the ships, artillery, crews and their quarters. One of the displayed ships, CSS Jackson, has damage from battles it was in and giant spikes holding it together. The man at the front desk is knowledgeable on both displayed and undiscovered ships being raised out of the ocean.
Visited 12/28/2021
The man at the front desk was very knowledgeable on the ships displayed as well as other ships that they are attempting to locate and raise out of the ocean.
The CSS Jackson is a much larger ship than it appears in the pictures, even with a portion of the middle missing. You can see the giant spikes holding the ship together, as well as the damage from the battles it was in. There are several cannons on display, and a plethora of other diagrams and informative plaques throughout the museum giving you information on the ships, artillery, crews and their quarters. Absolutely would recommend for a [Naval] history lover

This place is simply awesome. We stopped because it gave us a break on our drive to Atlanta, and I was blown away with what they’ve got for such a small place that is privately (it is non-government funded) funded. They have a ton of information all around, and some really neat artifacts. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would certainly return if I find myself in the area.

I’ve been wanting to go to this museum for years but sadly waited long enough for the ship to be torn down! It was a lovely experience for someone looking to get out for a couple hours! It’s not too big and not too small! It’s perfect for a family outing and the staff was great! It’s also priced reasonably at $8 for adults and you get what you pay for 😎

This is an excellent museum, not government run but locally operated. This place has lots and lots of very interesting artifacts and some very knowledgeable workers who are able to answer most any question you may have.
I will admit I was a little shocked to be at a Naval museum in Columbus Ga (nowhere near the coast) but they explained the why and reasoning behind the location and it made great sense and was an interesting historical lesson in itself.

I wasn't sure what to expect. The topic seemed a bit narrow...but I have to admit I was impressed and indeed learned a number of things. The CSS Jackson is a very impressive display. Same with the historic flags. Some of the displays are like movie sets--good for the kids. If you just want to "see" it, you can run through in about 30-40 minutes. I am one of those who reads everything and ended up spending over 2 hours. Price is reasonable.

Really neat museum for history buffs. Tickets are a little pricey but they do offer military discounts. It was not very crowded so it was nice to move around at your own pace with tons of information around the museum. The museum isn’t very interactive, but it has great artifacts including the wreckage of an ironclad. Good place to stop at on a free weekend.

The Columbus Museum in Georgia is a former private residence that now houses an impressive collection of American art and regional history exhibits. The museum boasts lush gardens and offers workshops for glass blowing, among other things. Visitors can expect to see a broad range of displays, including historical artifacts from Central Georgia and local collections. The museum is well-maintained and definitely worth a visit for those interested in exploring the region's cultural heritage.
I had such a great time. They have so much to view. They had a wide variety of works of art. They had so many historical things that highlight Columbus. Very clean and professional museum. My grandmother and I have gone for their glass blowing workshops and love those!!
However, the museum is usually void of people unless an event is going on. If you are younger than 50, the staff and guards follow you around and watch you, and do not come off as friendly or willing to make conversation. It is very overbearing. This distracts from the very interesting and well put together showcasing and collections.

Such a lovely place! The fact that it's donation based, they have a children's area, and it's just a beautiful space makes this a must visit for anyone local to or visiting Columbus!
Flat Rock Park is a vast wooded area situated around a fishing lake, offering various outdoor activities such as hiking and biking trails, picnic spots with barbecue grills, and playgrounds for kids. The park has an abundance of water attractions that the children particularly enjoy. Unfortunately, some visitors have been careless and inconsiderate towards the park's maintenance resulting in it being occasionally dirty.
Very clean facilities and grounds well kept. Great place for meeting friends and family. Bike trails.. fishing lake..disc golf course.. plenty of grilling huts and open grills.. Very popular with the RC crawling community!! The restroom could use a little updating but they're still not bad. Overall I'm going to give it 5 stars!!! Also very amazing place to take photos.

Our family enjoys flat rock! It's dirty sometimes but that's what happens when uncaring and rude people visit a park. Its them to blame, not the actual place.
It's large and has so much to do. My kids love the water!
I've had a few scary encounters with other people not watching their kids and their kids getting hurt/most drowning!
It's Def a place where you need to have EYES ON YOUR KIDS ... hard for some people apparently.

My favorite park in town. It's beautiful and people are usually really nice and friendly. Watch out for the mud pits, at certain times of the year we are constantly seeing people get their trucks stuck multiple times a day.
The police drive through the park at night to make sure everyone leaves.
Park conditions: I feel like more efforts are directed to maintain and beautify cooper Creek, but that's just my personal opinion.
I'd love to see some of the roads/sides of roads fixed due to erosion, holes filled in, trees that are about to fall or "hangers", (branch pieces that aren't even connected) that could easily fall and hurt someone.
But otherwise come on out. I saw the biggest deer of my life in a creek, in the woods. It was beautiful and it didn't even make a sound when it moved. Living out in Midland I see deer on the side of the road all the time, but never like this.
Come check out the park and wildlife.

Nice park. The disc golf course was longer than expected. 11 was hard to find, it was across a street and up a hill from 10. I did also get a face full of spiderweb but it's Georgia. Highly recommend going here for whatever. Lots of space to just hangout. There was a string of picnic tables like 8 strong.

Flat Rock Park, my favorite Park in the city. I recommend going before it gets dark, for extra safety. Not to mention the park closes at sundown. There is at least one police officer that comes and drives through the park and pushes everybody towards the exit.
You can fish here. One of the most popular attractions now is the Disc Golf course(s) weaved throughout the part. It is on my to-do list, of things to try.
I've seen people have baby showers, weddings, picnics & cookouts, family photo shoots, and glamour shots, and even family reunions.
You can bring your dogs (with a leash) to the park. There are multiple playgrounds for the children. Come check it out. There are bathrooms and trash cans on site and the bathrooms do have toilet paper and are clean typically which is surprisingly awesome.
There are some grilling areas/picnic tables. ( I'd probably bring my own stuff though. I don't personally know if there are specific rules) there are a few buildings on site that you can look into renting out for an occasion also.
I do wish the city would work on tree removal at this park. I use to work in trees. There is a lot that could be done that would keep the park beautiful and safe. The park is a free way to have some fun, so please respect it when you come visit. Hope to see some new faces.

Stopped by this park while in Columbus to explore. There are some hiking and biking trails that were not marked well. We hiked a wooded trail around the small lake and saw several deer. On our day visiting the picnic areas were not well maintained and there was an excess of garbage all over the park. The area is beautiful and has potential to be a great park if it was better maintained.

I like this park for its natural surroundings and a natural water park in the flat rock falls. Plenty of pools for kids to play in. Towards bottom of the series of falls is a steeper drop off for older kids to climb. Playground off to the side with slides and monkey bars. Sorry no swings. But in other parts of the park there is a very nice disc golf park. Mountain bike trail throughout. Full of picnic spots but One star off for not well maintained picnic and grill areas.

Beautiful natural areas. Very well maintained. Lots and lots of play area for kids or pets. Not everyone actually follows the leash rules though so be aware if you are afraid of dogs or your animals are dog reactive. 2 different playground areas for kids. Tons of biking/hiking trails. Paved walkways for those of us who tend to be clumsy on uneven terrain. Fishing areas, picnic tables, disc golf galore, grilling areas all over. Great place to go relax and connect with nature or just do some yoga or meditate.
The science museum Coca-Cola Space Science Center is an attraction suitable for all ages that offers a range of activities including simulators, film screenings and observation events. Located in Columbus State University, the center features interactive exhibits such as a Land Rover simulation resembling the one on Mars which can be controlled like a remote control car. Additionally, visitors can enjoy shows at the planetarium and experience real-life simulations of space travel. The admission fee is affordable with discounts available for military and senior citizens.
We had less than an hour, so didn't do everything. Still fun was had by school aged kids, teenagers, adults, and seniors! Definitely recommend as a family experience. The simultors, plasma machine, green screen, and heat sensing/infrared camera were really fun! The gift shop had something for every budget from $0.50 on up to pricier fare $6 astronaut food, and such. Definitely worth stopping in!
We have a museum membership that includes the ASTC Passport Program, so admission was free. It is a reasonable $6- $8 otherwise. If you're near Ft. Moore, do make the stop, especially if you have kids!
Also wheelchair accessible!

If I could give this place less than one star I would. This was an incredibly unprofessional experience. The venue is beautiful, but the staff was atrocious. After losing our appointment to tour the venue TWICE last year, a security guard volunteered to take us around the venue herself because the event staff could not be bothered to accommodate the appointment they themselves had booked. The caterer they forced us to use would not work with us at all. They refused to give us a tasting, then on the day of they allegedly had no record of equipment we had paid to rent months prior. Also speaking on equipment, we had initially paid to rent equipment for our ceremony and then later decided to forego it. We paid nearly $300 to rent this equipment, yet somehow our refund came out to $38?? Our "event coordinator" provided through the venue didn't even stay for the duration of the event. The event started at 5:00 pm and she got off work and left at 4:00. Which I find interesting because there were THREE weddings taking place in our venue at the exact same time as ours, with no one to direct guests or even signage. Then about a week after our event they had the audacity to call and claim we left our bar tab open, when we had a credit card on file for the duration of the six hour event.

While I was there it so happened that a church service was in progress in one of the rooms ( Church of the Highlands) and I had time between our meetings to attend the service. The members and pastor welcomed me with open arms and the service was great. I feel so energized and renewed. Another great thing is the Marriott hotel is directly across from the convention center with plenty of parking.

Beautiful venue but the food at the Holiday Social was lacking as was the service. No bread at numerous tables, the soup was freezing, the entree was bland and multiple tables were done eating by the time others were just receiving their course. Only good thing is the building is beautiful and the cheesecake was good. Please, hire more wait staff and maybe different chef/cooks. We deserve to receive eatable food for the price per person that was paid for this event. Disappointed!

The Columbus Botanical Garden is a 22-acre outdoor space showcasing a variety of plant life, including herbs, vegetables, roses and other flowers. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the walking trail and taking in the beautiful scenery. The garden also features water features that contribute to a calming atmosphere, while bird songs add to the ambience. The venue provides ample seating areas for those seeking solitude or meditation time. It's an ideal location for hosting events and parties as well.
Me and my husband drove from Tampa , Florida to see this botanical garden and it was worth the drive ! The walking trail is wonderful with benches, swings and stopping points all throughout it . The camelia garden is so beautiful 😍

What a fun find to bring my in-laws to on a beautiful day. They've lived in Columbus for 50 yrs and never knew it was there. I can see how it could make for beautiful wedding pics.

Small Gardens but beautiful. It's very hot literally some days 95 degrees and their flowers are just vibrant and healthy. You can tell they take pride in the care of this area. 10.00 adults and 5.00 kids to 17. 10.00 is a lil much if it's more than one adult. If the prices were a lil lower i would most definitely bring some of my adult friends. Nevertheless it's still a nice place.

Hours are good, grounds well kept up, public restrooms available. Plenty of room for kids to run wild, plenty of paths through the woods with benches, large swings, and fountains. Price is right (free) but there is a place for donations which are encouraged.

What an incredibly wonderful place. Even tho it occupies a small plot of space; for now, there are long range plans of expanding. There is a huge variety of plants and flowers to see and learn about, especially since they will grow within the conditions found in Columbus. The cottage garden had some very fragrant flowers in bloom today. The herb garden had just about every herb/spice to view. There is a vegetable garden and the produce harvested is donated to local charities and food banks. The space where the melons were growing, on a hillside, was the best use of land. A very well-thought out use of space everywhere. There's even a 1-mile trail away from the plantings to enjoy more nature. When you come, please bring a book to add to the cute little library next to the parking area. A gem of a space in Columbus not to be missed!

Wonderful experience to get the kiddos out of the house. The formal gardens are well tended with identifying markers for most plants. Water features and seating spaces make for beautiful photo opportunities. The trail gets a bit bumpy from the tree roots, but our kids still loved it.
UPDATE: there are new admission requirements at the garden. We'll worth it, especially if you buy the family membership!

We were passing through the area and decided to visit this place because it had lots of great reviews and pictures online.
We bought our tickets and went in... only to find that EVERYTHING inside was either dead, dying or closed. Allow me to correct myself, there were five heads of lettuce that were still clinging to life, but that's about it.
This place looked like a wasteland (word that one of the administrators seemed to took offense with, but I'd let my pictures speak for themselves).
It looked more like the location for a Fallout picture session or a Walking Dead episode than a "lush and bountiful garden". You don't have to believe my words... just look at the pictures.
Since there was nothing to do or see inside, we turned around and asked for a refund, only to be told "no refunds whatsoever" which for me is unbelievable given the situation. Still, I came back home and tried again with upper management.
This time, I received the most condescending reply possible. Just to give you a small sample of the way their reply was worded: It seems that "It is unfortunate that you were not pleased with our offerings" and then went ahead with three full paragraphs self congratulating themselves about how magnificent their garden is at other times; which is meaningless to me as I just witnessed dead plants.
Again: Look at the pictures. Would you call that "magnificent"?
Long story short: They ended their reply with "we do not issue refunds"
They really must need the money.
That phrase still circles my thoughts.... "It is unfortunate that you were not pleased with our offerings" I just can't fathom how can they say that with a straight face. Do you think there's somebody out there that wouldn't be upset to be charged $30 to see what I just showed you?
They also told me that they just passed a hard freeze and that is the reason for the current state of the garden... um... so... if you know it looks bad then why do you keep charging for it?
If I had a zoo and all my animals died I wouldn't be charging an admission fee as I have nothing to show.
For all the people that will say "oh, but this place is beautiful in (any other date)" I believe you, but I am not arguing that. I'm just telling you that as of today, the place is HORRIBLE and it is a travesty that not only they charge for an entry fee when there's nothing to see, but being so shameless as to refuse a refund request when they know its current state.
I'll finish this review with the same line I used on my final reply to them:
Hope everything grows back again so you won't charge people for nothing like you did with me

Not worth it. Took my kids here the other day and honestly wasn’t too impressed. Had a nice walking trail but nothing impressive that differentiates it from just taking a walk in the woods anywhere else. No luscious flower arrangements and was just lacking overall. I’ve been to other botanical gardens that offered much more. Plus what we paid for one adult and 3 kids (they even charged my 2yr old a regular kid price should really be free for at least 3 and under) wasn’t worth it. They really should have much more to offer.

This was my second year taking my family for the Christmas lights. Last year was great, the atmosphere was better, there was a live band playing and the lights were beautiful. This year “2023” it was just okay. I feel like there were less lights, there was no live band and it was kind of boring. This was definitely not worth paying 15 dollars for adults.
The food and drink selection could definitely use an upgrade. The prices were quite high for what they were offering. A small cup of hot chocolate with no lid in a tiny styrofoam cup was 3 dollars. The food offered was hot dogs and burgers that were cooked in steamed pots, it did not look appealing at all. I would suggest maybe adding food trucks to the lineup to give visitors a variety of choices.

Just stopped by the Columbus Botanical Garden for a little peace and quiet. It was a little hot this day but the scenery made me forget all about the heat. The sound of the birds, along with the water features, created a calming experience. I had not visited the Columbus Botanical Garden in some time but I was pleased by all the changes, plenty of seating and place to escape to if you want alone time to meditate. The space also looks great for events and parties. If you have found this review helpful, like and share the review. You can follow me too! Thanks and have a great day!

The camelias are almost done blooming, and there are 0 vegetables in the garden. While the walk around the property was nice, it was definitely not worth $12. They also don’t have student or senior discounts like most other attractions.
this was VERY cool! it’s connected to a antique shop, so when you first enter, you can’t see the museum, but it’s behind these colorful curtains near the back and when i walked through, waves of childhood just came to me. the floors were bright yellow and red, the walls were covered in vintage lunchboxes (of course). the best part about the museum is that it felt like it never ended- it was more than just the lunchboxes. everything was super stacked on top of each other, but not hoarded, and it was very clean. there were also vintage cars that were in great shape. 10/10 would definitely recommend and would definitely go again! plus, there was a sweet kitty out front :)

Fantastic experience, walking through memory lane. I brought my wife and her 30 year old lunch box to see many free the past.
10 dollars a person to get in was well worth the experience. The owner is a library of knowledge. Highly recommend if visiting or passing through Columbus. Clean restrooms too. We arrived with only an hour to explore and they stayed open till we finished. You can easily spend hours here.

This is a hidden gem 💎! So glad we stumbled across this. Definitely worth the admission price for the museum's and I can't wait for them to get the new addition for the cars. The owner was so sweet and eager to tell you the history of this amazing collection. I walked out with a antique tea set. Antique store is free however, $10 for museum admission.

Loved this place, so many amazing collections in one place. Besides the 1000s of lunchboxes the antique radio collection was really interesting. To top it off, we spent some time looking in the antique store and even though we really didn't think we would be buying anything we walked out with 3 unique pieces because the prices were so good. Met the 88 year old owner Allen Woodall, nice guy and really with it.

If you're looking for 7 individual buildings you'll never find the place. It's one, very large building with different areas to tour. It's attached to an antique store that has an interesting collection as well. Every square inch is filled with something neat to look at and read about.

This place doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is AMAZING! My family and I enjoyed it so much, and the older gentleman who owns the place is so kind and knowledgeable about everything. I enjoyed listening to the things he talked about. There's an antique shop connected to all the little museums, there I found a Little Debbie doll, and I just had to take her home with me🙂

Don’t let the outside fool you, this place is amazing inside. The lunchbox museum is awesome, you can look at a row three different times and find one you didn’t see! From Disney to Little House on the Prairie it’s like taking a trip back in time. The owner is a wealth of knowledge and more than happy to tell you all about the exhibits. There is also an RC Cola and a Toms exhibit as well. Plenty to see and could easily kill and hour here looking at everything.

Great facility for performances. We've been there several times and our kids have performed there. The staff is wonderful and the locations and parking are very easy. Seating is comfortable. Only suggestions: it's very cold in the audience and it could be cleaned better in the backstage area.

We went to see the Nutcracker. I have loved this play since I was a little girl, but have never seen a live performance. I was very excited and set the bar too high. I expected collegic dancers to perform. It was overpriced for a school play with kids running around the stage. Watching a kid's play is not what you pay $70 a seat for. If you did not know the plot, you would not know what was even going on. The positive was that the gingerbread houses were cool, but the show was a huge disappointment.

Had a great time at the show last night! Staff was awesome! The River Center was clean!!
However, I called twice earlier in the day asking very specific questions...
Can we bring bottled water?
Will there be concessions?
The young lady on the phone did not feel comfortable giving a response so she offered to speak to her manager.
I was very appreciative of this. The manager told her there would be no concessions and we could bring no food or drinks in.
This response, changed the course of our evening plans.
Much to our surprise, there were concessions and we could bring drinks in.
I was glad to see both of these!
However, the hour and half before the show was all about rushing to get ready and find dinner before the show because of the managers misinformation.

This is a fantastic venue!! We moved here recently from a large city in FL and the River Center completely measures up to any major performing arts center in a big city!! It is a great place to be and watch some performers. My latest experience was “Madagascar” some AC issues at the theater and the break instead of 15 to 20 min lasted almost about one hour! We thought that the show ended or something happened. Besides the long break it was a great show.

We just attended Sawn Lake and had an amazing experience! Currently 35 weeks pregnant I purchase seats close to the end of our row. Thinking it would make things easy for me. However I was completely wrong! The constant up and down to let people in and my belly being accidentally pushed every time we were letting someone in had me exhausted and completely uncomfortable during the first act. During intermission my husband went to look for a staff member. He found Dalton who was working by the elevator and explained everything to him. Dalton immediately said we have no reservations for any of our box seating. He then moved us to a box sit and helped us get situated for the second act. He made sure I didn't needed anything before returning to his post and notifying other staff members. I was able to feel more comfortable and feel so much better. After the show he came and looked for us to make sure everything was better and to make sure we didn't need help to get out of there. For our first time visiting the River Center this was truly an amazing experience! The staff is beyond accommodating and caring!

We went to see Stomp! The show was amazing! And the staff was super helpful. The only thing is we were told if we were to get snacks from the concession stand it'd make us late for the show, so we wouldn't be able to let in the show till 9 minutes later, so it'd be best to come back after the show started. We did, and the concession stand was closed for the rest of the day. Go figure.

At Historic Westville, a history museum dedicated to the 1850s era, visitors can witness the revival of schools, churches and businesses through the presentation of guides dressed in period costumes. These costumed performers breathe life into restored establishments, allowing visitors to experience an immersive look at what life was like during this particular time period. The museum aims to preserve this piece of history while educating its guests on the culture and societal norms that were prevalent during that time.

Amazing place for little kids. I took my son (5 years old) to the Reptile Show this morning and he loved it. Great variety of specimens, dinosaur fossils, the bee keeping was fascinating, and there was plenty of hands-on to do on site, too. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time.

Oxbow Meadows is wonderful! I don't really go in the main building besides buying earrings or honey (sometimes) its really kid focused inside but still a cool experience for everyone! I really love going on the bird trails. Lots of bird variety; meadows, lakes & forest!
