Marina Beach is a sheltered beach with amenities that cater to families and children. It boasts of a playground, picnic tables, ample parking space, volleyball nets and even rowing rentals. Visitors can also enjoy barbecuing on the premises. The beach is well-maintained by the city with regular cleaning of sand from play structures. Its scenic views are best witnessed during sunrise, making it worth waking up early for.
You can purchase an all day parking pass (good for 24 hours) or hourly. Probably gets much busier during weekends (beach valley ball?, boating) but weekday visit presented a moment for a peaceful stop by the water. There are a couple spots to eat if you’re hungry as well. I recommend The Hive ground floor of AMLI buildings just up the street; it’s is organic and offers vegetarian options.

Didn't find anything too special about this beach. It's quiet and quaint. I think it would be a nice place for a quiet picnic. Its not as crowded as Santa monica which is nice. It's got bathrooms and a parking lot. Public tables and a volleyball net. Playground for kids and felt safe at least before dark. Seemed like a good family friendly area. You can find electric scooters in the area and get to Venice beach

I went in the morning to watch the sunrise over the apartments. It was chilly, but the views were well worth the 6am alarm
The beach has a children's playground, bathrooms, olleyball nets, plenty of parking (at least in the morning), rowing rentals. What was cool about going early in the morning was that I saw a maintenance guy blowing out the sand on the play structure using a lead blower. It was nice to see that the city keeps the structures decent looking for the kiddos!

It's okay when the ocean water is not contaminated because when it is the sand is black with dark tar I guess it was but love that when it's clean, it is nice also love that if you don't go into the water the have a playground for the kids 😍👍

Pretty place. I liked the morning walk around it with breakfast from the local Bagel place down the street. They had a rowing team practicing, too.
Farmers market right there too! On Saturday mornings. Awesome organic local fruit.
Negatives ---> I did see a guy shooting up... 745 am... Right on a picnic table by me.

We’re lucky we found this beach. We got free parking. They have tables and benches, and you can do barbecue too! You can play volleyball with your friends. Nice beach to spend with the family!
Fisherman's Village is a coastal mall located in Marina del Rey. It has colorful shops and restaurants lining the yacht- and seal-filled water, making it a picturesque escape. The complex can be accessed by easy-to-find stops along the marina, or you can drive there.
Before the Pandemic I used to come by Marina Del Rey Fisherman’s Village just to take pictures of Seagulls and Sea Lion. So this is a good place for either eating Seafood or Sightseeing. So maybe one day I would like to stop by on how Fisherman’ Village is doing well.

This place is really beautiful and fun, I went during a strange time of the week and most restaurants were closed but it was really relaxing to walk around, it feels like a different world. There were so many sea lions they were so fun to watch, I'd recommend coming here if you want to go somewhere quiet and nice.

What a quiet little relaxing place! It was our first time visiting this place and spent 2 hours by the harbor enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The seals were fun to watch.
We paid $2 for 2 hours…which was not bad. I was surprised to see how clean their public toilets were…great jobs! We didn’t go to any of the restaurants but went to a gift shop. I ended up buying 2 rings and a magnet for $84 0_0 …now kinda thinking if they overcharged me for the items :/ None of their stuff were labeled with price tags, so couldn’t tell if they were just making up the price. (& therefore the 4 stars instead of 5, sorry)
Overall it is a beautiful place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Pretty neat little harbor in marina del Rey, lots bike riders, a little park nearby in the end road great for family picnic plus if your into off shore fishing you don’t have to go all the way to Long Beach or San Pedro and prices are pretty descent too

What an amazing first time visit. Parking was amazing being able to get on the boat Taxi boat bus was a charm. I loved that we could take the bus boat to the mothers beach area. That was amazing as well. I love the live music that was along the boardwalk area. Once we returned, and the restaurant right in front of the docs was delicious I will definitely be returning.

It’s a picturesque waterfront shopping and dining complex located in Marina del Rey. With its charming nautical-themed architecture, waterfront views, and an array of shops and restaurants, Fisherman's Village offers a relaxing and scenic coastal experience. It's great that it's not very busy, I was very pleased with the live music.

Fisherman's has some of the best authentic Italian food I've ever had. It is hard to get a table here because it is beloved by its longtime patrons. Unfortunately, the restaurant is small but the service is great along with a great menu.
Make a reservation, or you will be waiting a long time for a table.

2-3 minute read:
I was attending SAMOHI (Santa Monica High School)back in ‘62-‘63, when Marina Del Rey was being worked on.
Fisherman’s Village was on their list of construction.
Since then, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been there.
Fisherman’s Village has several shops, food stands Bicycle rentals and more.
This past Sunday, September 10, 2023, we had been invited to a Brunch Cruise on the Good Ship “ENTERTAINER”.
My wife’s relatives wanted to enjoy the day at Fisherman’s Village and a Sunday Brunch.
We arrived, found parking, paid at their kiosk and began our adventure.
Our Group consisted of my wife’s blood relatives, save my self and James Brandt Hummel.
There was My wife- Jocelyn Ponce, her sister- Neal (Nela) Piniones Bennett, their their brother Jun Piniones, a cousin- Jingle Piniones Rojas, Jingle’s husband- Eugene Rojas Borja, Jungle’s Dad- Tío, two nieces- Jen Piniones Rivera & Angela Piniones Hummel, Angela’s husband- James Brandt Hummel, a nephew- Jared Piniones and I.
A little later after arriving, we were summoned to board the cruise ship “ENTERTAINER”.
The ship is maintained by City Cruises,by HORNBLOWER. It’s Captain is Mike Halat whom I made it a point to go meet. That way I could give him credit for running a beautiful ship. He also made me an “HONORARY CAPTAIN “. You’ll see a photo of the certificate he wrote out to me.
The following photos will highlight all the cruise activity and the All You Can Eat Brunch w/unlimited MIMOSAS 🥂🍾served during the entire 2 hour cruise.
FINALLY, another highlight we unexpectedly had was: LIVE PERFORMANCE by a awesome Band named CROWN CITY BOMBERS.
Years ago, I played lead guitar in a Band. So when I saw them setting up the equipment, I was wondering, “ How good are these Guys?”
This Band blew me away. You’ll se the clips 📹📸🎥 I took.
The Band Players are:
David Bertín- Lead Vocals
Eitaro Sako- Lead Guitar
Dani Colace- Bass & Vocals
Matthew Penesabene- Bass
Jack Johnson- Drums

Elliot, Cole, and both of our Captains were fabulous. We chartered two sailboats for a company retreat. From the initial phone call for information through our trip and back to shore, the entire Bluewater team's level of service was exceptional every step of the way. We were able to participate as much or as little as each person wanted. Both Captains were extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and fun to learn from and sail with. We highly would recommend Bluewater for personal or corporate sailings!

Just completed the 104/114 ASA classes from Greg Hines at Blue Pacific Yachting. Definitely a great combo class if you are looking to get those certs. We sailed to Catalina Two Harbours and practiced lots of great skills on a 45' Lagoon Leopard catamaran. Greg creates a relaxed atmosphere making the learning fun and pressure-free. Highly recommend this outfit for all of your ASA classes...and their fleet is fantastic! Thanks again PBY!

Took a Discover Sailing class with my dad for his birthday. The 3 hours on the water were perfect. Not only was the weather phenomenal but our instructor, Ian, was a fantastic blend of fun, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. My dad and I learned quite a bit and the experience felt like it was a great blend of learning something new while also seeing if we'd like to explore sailing further.
I highly recommend to anyone curious about sailing or just want to learn something new.

I did my ASA 201 instructor certification here, and I was impressed. I've been around a lot of students at a few different sailing schools. The students coming out of the Bluewater ASA 101 program are the best 101 graduates I've seen. They know their stuff, they're safe, and they're having a great time. Bluewater runs a great program, and this is the place to get started sailing.

Just completed the ASA 101 and 103 with Bluewater Sailing. My experience with the team across the board has been stellar. I have been sailing off and on since I was a kid but never worked up the courage to get formal instruction so that I could feel confident taking friends out on my own. Elliot and Martin's instruction for the ASA courses took into account my previous experience, showed me my blind spots that I needed to work on, and was super engaging and fun! I can't wait to get back out there and see what's in store next with ASA classes and other seminars!

Title: An Unforgettable Team Event at Sea!
Review:
Our team of 25 had the absolute pleasure of spending an unforgettable day out at sea with Blue Water Sailing. From the moment we contacted them about our event, to the moment we reluctantly stepped back onto land, we were treated with top-notch service that exceeded all expectations.
One of the major highlights of the experience was how Blue Water Sailing's skippers adapted to everyone's comfort levels and knowledge about sailing. Whether an individual was a seasoned seafarer or a first-time sailor, each skipper's expertise and patience made everyone feel at ease. The skippers not only provided guidance but also enabled us to truly engage with the sailing experience. This hands-on approach added an engaging and educational element to our day, making it even more memorable.
The organization was flawless. Despite having 5 boats to manage, the coordination was seamless and every aspect of our outing was impeccably arranged. Blue Water Sailing made sure that every small detail was taken care of, which allowed us to simply enjoy the beauty of Marina del Rey and each other's company.
What further sets Blue Water Sailing apart is the team's passion and love for sailing, which radiates in their service. They encouraged, shared, and fostered a similar love for sailing within our team, bringing us together in a unique and meaningful way. The spirit of camaraderie, cooperation, and adventure that sailing imbued in us was simply extraordinary.
We wholeheartedly recommend Blue Water Sailing for any group, large or small, looking to explore the wonder of sailing. Whether it's for team building, family events, or a fun day out, Blue Water Sailing provides an unparalleled experience.
Thank you, Blue Water Sailing, for creating such an amazing day for our team. It was more than just a team event; it was a day filled with bonding, laughter, adventure, and beautiful memories that will stay with us forever.

My husband and I recently completed the Basic Keelboat ASA 101 certification with Bluewater sailing and it was a great experiences! There are no better sports to learn than sailing during Covid, the sea breeze and sun will keep you healthy and happy! Our instructor is Elliot who is super experienced and detailed and each class with him in the boat we improved a lot. All the people there are super friendly, we now go there every weekend to keep practicing and will take more lessons with them to progress our sailing skills. They are hands down the best sailing school inn Los Angeles.

My wife and I bought a sailboat last year and needed to get qualified to legally sail it in the Mediterranean. As a couple that want to be equal partners in life at sea (and on the shore), we knew we both needed training and a shared foundation in sailing fundamentals to be safe and enjoy our adventures. I have sailed for years but neither of us had done any courses so we requested instruction from Bluewater Sailing at Marina del Rey over the Christmas period of 2021.
This was the best thing we could have done. Our time was limited (we were only visiting family in California for a few weeks) and I needed to get my IPC (internationally recognised proof of sailing competency). Elliot, Cole and the Bluewater team were friendly, helpful and flexible as Courtney and I did our courses, theory tests and practical lessons and assessments over the Christmas period. We found them to be knowledgeable, experienced and their sailing philosophy solid.
Courtney and I are heading to Italy in May for our first cruise on Pliny and we feel prepared, confident and have the certifications required to do it. Bluewater Sailing are a big part of why we feel this way and are able to pursue our nautical dreams.
And as Ratty says to Mole in Kenneth Grahame's classic novel 'The Wind in the Willows': “Believe me my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."
Oh, so true and we look forward to sailing our boat all the more confidently because of our time at Bluewater. Thank you!

Around eight months ago, I came into Bluewater Sailing as a total novice, curious to learn about sailing. Today, I can confidently say it’s become an exciting obsession. At Bluewater Sailing, you’re not just another student; you become part of a close-knit family - a mixture of leisure enthusiasts, adventurers, and seasoned stormy sailors. Whether you dream of casual sailing days around Santa Monica Bay, mastering the art of navigation to Catalina Island, or embarking on a global adventure, the exceptional instructors at Bluewater are there to mentor and guide you all the way. Their dedication, friendliness and expertise are unparalleled. Trust me, one experience with them, and you’ll be captivated by the world of sailing for life. I cannot sing their praises high enough, they’re the gold standard of sailing schools.

Marina Del Rey Christmas Boat Parade is why we went today. It is a very nice area for watching the boats decorated with Christmas lights, trees, inflatables, characters, elves, snowmen, carolers, etc. pass by as they loop around the Marina several times. This gives everyone an opportunity to find a good spot to take photographs. Parking was the hardest part of the evening because we arrived right at 6.p.m. when the show started. There were fireworks at 5:55 p.m. and events throughout the day. I am definitely happy to have visited the Marina today.

I gave Marina Del Rey a four because I have never talked to a human here in several visits placed over four years. No public rest rooms. Basic information was supplied about Marina Del Rey outside posted to bulletin boards and doors. Still, the information was enough for basic exploring.

We loooove Marina del Rey! I had never been there but we had a layover at LAX last year and we skipped over to the marina for a few hours. We ended up staying there two days and rebooked our flight! The Visitor Center is a credit to the town. The people were fantastic, really nice to us. The found us a great hotel and some nice restaurants, and they spent a lot of time teaching us how to enjoy the water - and there must be literally dozens of different ways to play in the water at Marina del Rey. We were landlubbers when we arrived, now we feel like old salts. Thank you visitor's center!
Steph Sells — Google review
Not a visitor center. The staff are busy doing their work and have little intention to provide any useful tourist information. They barely answer your questions. The building is sizable implying there is a lot of tax money going in there. Unfortunately, the visitors’ area is limited to just 1/50 of the entire building in our assessment, a mere entry foyer opened to the public. A shame. It should be closed down. My husband and I are visitors from DC who have traveled US in the last 10 months. The worst place among the places labeled as a visitor center.

This is without question the best water sports and activities facility in the entire Marina Del Rey area. Stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, sailing, rowing, and surfing are all available to the public via this facility; however, most activities do require a site issued certification, unlike other rental places. UCLA students and alumni are privy to some perks like discounts on classes and equipment rental, and hours are limited to mornings and evenings on weekdays. Despite all the details, the facility is a gorgeous nook of semi-privatr space at the open end of the Marina, and easily boasts one of the best properties in the entire area.

The Waterside shopping mall in Marina del Rey is an open-air retail destination that features high-end chain stores and services, as well as health food eateries and a supermarket. The area has a pleasant atmosphere and lively energy, although parking can be problematic due to tight spots, poor lot design, and reckless drivers. Help me to endure the many trials I have in my life. Make me like you, and help me to hope in you. In Jesus's name, amenChange first from the inside and the other things will follow. Lord, bless me the desire to become a better person and the firmness of will to succeed because I know that together we have the power to change my life.
