Rockport Beach Park is a family-friendly destination with calm waters, a playground, and a pavilion. The sandy beach is perfect for younger children since there are very few waves or currents. There are plenty of picnic tables throughout the park along with restrooms and showers that are always kept clean. Although seagulls abound, dogs or other pets aren't allowed.
Great park! They have a sandy beach with very few waves and current. It's great for smaller kids. There are many covered picnic tables throughout as well as restrooms, showers, and all the seagulls you'd like to feed. It is $10 for the day or $40 for an annual pass.

Great place to bring your kids and family. There is a cost to enter the park for $10 but its well worthy. There are many gazebos where you can bbq, and as well as kids playing areas . There are two set of volleyball nets. The bathroom has a nice shower area at the pavilion. There is an area at the end where is very calm. The place is not deep at all, so it's very safe for kids.

This is a lovely place. Plenty of free water-side parking and benches and areas to walk on the sand. There is a wonderful walking and fishing pier (free). You can pay to get into the park proper, not sure how much, but cheap enough. Inside the park are bbq areas, gazebos, picnic areas, and bathrooms. There’s a sectioned off area of bay, that is calm and shallow for little ones to swim.

Had a great time with my family. There is a small part of the beach that allows for dogs too.
The water was warm and clean. A person can wade out for about 150 yards at least. So if you're looking for shallow water it's great.

Great area to take the family. I loved that the children were able to walk in the ocean. The amenities are convenient to wash the sand off before getting in the vehicle.

This was my first time here. I've always didn't pay, but never stopped until this past weekend. Best decision ever. Exceptionally clean beach, not over crowded, and perfectly safe swim area for toddlers and younger kids. First time I've been to the beach and I didn't have to worry about my kids, and was able to thoroughly enjoy myself. There is also a playground, a small bar with a stage for love bands, good clean restrooms and showers, picnic tables and tiki covers.

I was lucky to be there just before spring break. Almost deserted but what a great place to hang out. Lots of sand and water. Birds everywhere and the Laughing Gulls were so noisy. It was great. Only $10 for a day pass and cheap considering the experience.

NO DOGS/ PETS. Clean, clean , clean. Looks similar to the Galveston beaches, just much cleaners. No dogs allowed, sorry Fido. Great free 'Palapa-umbrellas'. Lots of parking. Nice folks working the gate. Lots of folks celebrating the New Year!!

I really liked the Rockport Beach. I have been to Florida beaches a lot and they are beautiful, but you can't compare Texas beaches to Florida beaches, geologically they were made differently. People were talking so much about the jellyfish at Rockport. They were not a problem unless you went clear out close to the drop-off. The water was clean and warm. It is very shallow for quite a ways which is great for the kiddos and parents to feel safer. 😀 We parked by the shower and toilet buildings which were great. They even have an outdoor shaded patio upstairs on the second building you can reserve and an inside room you can reserve as well for parties, receptions etc. The only issue we had was stepping on a fire ant nest at the edge of the parking lot and getting stung. We really had a good time otherwise. I think people just like to find something negative. It's a great Texas beach.

Perfect spot for families with small kids, very shallow Waters and the Beach is real clean, is only $10/car for the whole day. And the best of all it has restrooms 🚽 and shower 🚿 No Pets allowed 🚫

Great location for a relaxing day at the beach. Clean beach sandbars go really far out so you can go pretty far before the water gets too deep. The cabanas provide shade so all you need is a chair and a towel to stake out your spot. Usually not too busy. Day pass is $10/car or $40 for the year pass.

Beautiful beach. Warm water. The sun in October feels amazing. Very clean. Nice people all around. Go wade in the water and enjoy. BBQ pits available.

Beautiful beach area with restrooms, showers (necessary for the amount of sand I carried into the changing room), well-kept shade huts, and good parking areas.
The only complaint was the amount of plastic bottle caps and cigarette butts on the beach. Not really fault of the beach care takers, but humans are pigs!

Nice clean beach with picnic tables with shade, jungle gyms for the kids, swim beach, and a dock that you can walk out on and fish.

Great beach! Shallow entry great for kids and grandkids. You can walk out 100byeards and still be at your knees or hips. This beach can get crowded, but ways enjoyable. $10 per day or $40 yearly pass.

The Best ! Clean, no pets on the beach or in the water ! 😀 Love the tiki huts on the beach to sit under, perfect. Lots of play areas for children, perfect for families. Pavillion for bathroom as well as some Port A potties. Also a Salt Water pool at the end. So great!
Goose Island State Park spans across 320 acres of marsh and prairie. The park is well-designed, and visitors can enjoy a range of recreational activities in the stunning natural surroundings. One of the highlights is a tree that dates back over 1,000 years. Guided bird walks are available led by experts, Jane and Les, who offer valuable insights into local species.
Beautiful. We stayed at the RV spots on the bay and I honestly did not want to leave. The park is well kept and breathtaking, with birds everywhere and lots of places to fish and walk. The town of Rockport was full of sites along the bay and delicious seafood. I'd go back and recommend to friends. Great park.

The people employed here are simply wonderful. They are as accommodating as they are professional and very much seem to enjoy their work and coworkers.
This park has two basic areas, water/woods, which basically means; slightly more expensive/ less for the woods..more wind/less wind..less mosquitoes/more mosquitoes..less wildlife/more critters..less privacy/more so in the woods.
Nice fishing pier. Good bike ridding. The Big Tree is nearby.
We stayed waterside in a 25' class C.

Quiet and peaceful, great fishing in the morning and evening at the pier. The best baits to use are shrimp and crab. The park is clean and maintained well. We just left there and are already planning to go back next month. This park is dog friendly, and restrooms and shower rooms are clean as well

This park is one of the places I loved the most. The fishing pier area is just awesome for a day trip or fishing. You'll be seeing crystal clear water that flows over the shallow bay area covered with oyster shells. The natural area (Photos) are great place for birdwatching and you may see pelicans, seagulls and some rare species of birds limited to a very few number. In my opinion, this is a fantastic spot for nature lovers.

Such a beautiful park! Well laid out. But the best thing about the park are the bird walks guided by Jane & Les, 2 - 3 times per week. Their knowledge of birds is unmatched, and along with birding tales and tips to remember birds by, makes such an enjoyable outing. We attended at least 2 per week for the month we were in Rockport. Highly recommend for whatever level birder you are.

Goose Island State Park is one of my favorite parks to go to. I love to fish in my kayak. Every time I've gone I've caught a few redfish not too big but still fun to catch catch and release. I have yet to catch some slot reds but i wont give up!! The kids like going to the pier and fishing off the pier. My daughter cought her first flounder there!!she is 4 y/o . Now shes HOOKED ON FISHING!!!! Cant tell you what a blessing that is. My son is 6 y/o LOVES TO FISH. He is autistic but there is something special about fishing that calms him down. Hes is a true blessing to us . Very wonderful Park a lot of scenery nice trails to walk. A special thanks to the game wardens that take care of the fishery of the place. One of them was kind enough to take the time to talk to my children and give them high fives!! Thank you very much for what you guys do. It's because of you're hard work, dedication, and protection of our Fishery and other game and non-game animals/fish that we get to enjoy the outdoors with our families. Thank you all!! God bless you all!!!

January 2024 - 4 nights in Bayfront #38.3 nights in #150, wooded area.
Ill break it down the park, the Bayfront & the Wooded area.
The Park.we camped here in a Renegade super C, 38, 13-1/2 tall.
Watch your overhead but no real issues getting here.
The Park is well maintained with courteous & friendly staff. We were here just after a freeze so water had just been turned back onthere was a boil notice.
The Wooded site, #150 -
Easy to back into with just enough room for our Rubicon. Electric and water were convenient although we had to book a 30 amp site. No real issues. Comes with a picnic table on a slab and a fire ring. Youre surrounded by a thicket so its very private. Site was clean and fairly level (asphalt, new by the way). Shadyif there is ever any sun.
Noteof the 7 nights hereit rained all but two1.5" in one day. Come prepared.
The Bayfront site, #38
Ill sum it upif it had been asphalt,,,Id rate it a 7it was not it rained 3of the 4 days. It was sandy mud.
We setup in a pouring rain. The site was so unlevel that at one point our stairs got stuck in the sand/mud.
We tried to park with our windshield aimed at the ocean but our electric cord was 5 ft too short. After a deluge of 2 days of rain, we were surrounded in sandy mud. Put a bucket of water at the front door to wash our shoes before entering..it helped. The dog.hmm..it was a mess. Beautiful views. Was it worth it.Im not sure.

This place is amazing! The Bayfront campsites are right on the water. They have water and electricity. They also have a small shelter with a picnic table. We did catch a few small drum from our campsite but the weather was quite cool, may have been better if the water was warmer.

Enjoyed our time at Goose Island State Park!! The park rangers provided excellent customer service and very friendly & helpful. We initially had a camp site in the wooded area although nice but some may be a little too secluded. Oh not to mention the SKEETERS were bad so glad we were able to get a campsite on the water where it was really nice & breezy. We opted out for one right on the bay and although not as pretty (no trees) being right on the water was really nice! We loved being able to fish a few feet from our campsite oh and the sunrises & sunsets were beautiful! The restrooms & showers were in excellent shape & very clean! Everyone at the park was very friendly. We loved bike riding and taking our walks every morning after our coffee ☕️Will definitely come back:)

This is me and my Nana's favorite park. We keep revisiting this place. The nature trail really immerses you in the forest. With natural unpaved paths, you are walking between the trees and shrubbery and are able to really feel the magic of the earth. This is a great place for meditation and a very relaxing stroll through the wonders of the world. They also have a fishing pier, the bathrooms are kept very clean. There are camping sites along the bay and in the forest, and there is a big tree that is around 300 years old you can walk around and see. Goose Island is the ultimate immersive experience for nature lovers. If you are looking for a getaway, Goose Island is where you should go.

This state park is a treasure. My family camped one night on the beach and one night at the inland campground. They were both clean and well taken care of with all amenities working properly. I went out on the fishing pier with my son twice and although we didn't have much luck there were plenty of families hauling in ladyfish and drum.

Great camping. Overall, it was great. If camping in an RV, there is low water pressure some days. Birders will like the many locations to view bird life.

This park is amazing! We attended the first day birding tour and it was EXCELLENT! The two volunteer guides were incredibly kind and knowledgeable and provided a wonderful experience. We saw 50 species of birds and had a great time! Even without the tour I would have enjoyed the park, but this sealed the deal! A great way to spend the morning.
Fulton Mansion State Historic Site is a mansion built in 1877, celebrated for its impressive architecture. The estate offers educational tours and hosts events to showcase its rich history. The property was restored by the State of Texas to highlight the incredible detail and innovation that Mr. Fulton incorporated into his home, which was ahead of its time. Volunteers are knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful building and offer friendly assistance to visitors.

It was very interesting. The mansion is beautiful! We both enjoyed looking at everything. The lady working there is very sweet and had a lot to tell us about the history the house. We recommend going by to take a look around.

Great little side trip if you are staying in the Corpus Christi area. A beautiful mansion located right on the bay. They have done a wonderful job restoring this. There is an education center you park at and get your tickets. There is a lot of info there about the Fulton family and the history of the area at the time the mansion was built. Then you walk over to the mansion. It was staffed by a lovely volunteer. They give you a laminated information page for you to do a self guided tour. I wish I had a more detailed tour guide though as I had several questions that were not on the guide. The volunteer was able to answer them when I went back to talk to her. It also so interesting to learn of the history of the mansion between the years the Fulton family had it and it was acquired by the state. I definitely recommend checking it out!

I was only able to see the outside because they stop selling tickets at 3:15 pm… I arrived at 3:25 pm. I was really excited to see this historical site, but I understand there are rules. I should have planned better. Hopefully I can visit another time in the future. It was interesting just seeing the outside. I’m happy I at least got to walk the property. It’s very pretty.
From what I read online, they are open everyday except Monday, tickets are $7 per person and from my personal experience today, they stop selling tickets 45 minutes prior to closing.
See you next time, Fulton Mansion.

Make sure to check out the museum located where you buy tickets to get the full story of the Fultons! Super interesting and filled with history, many of which surprised me such as how the Fultons-Smiths would ship their refrigerated cattle meat as far as England. The mansion it self was gorgeous, and the woman inside was so helpful and kind. My favorite is the details to the wood which is original.

Really cool experience. The young lady who gave us a lil history on the property was super knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. The attention to detail was what kept me interested. Tbh it didn't feel too haunted, if you desire that. The volunteers and guides were so kind, knowledgeable and well spirited.
When there's nobody in the basement however, the atmosphere does suddenly become somewhat uncanny.

We had a great wine tasting here! Delicious, reasonably priced, and came with souvenir glasses. They also ship around the country, which is what I'll be doing so I didn't have to fly with a suitcase full of wine. The owners were very friendly, and we're definitely coming back the next time we're in town!

Extremely well run brewery and winery! Some friends and I went yesterday and had a magnificent time. Tried every single one of their beers and a number of their wines. And we were blown away by everything. The Hefeweizen and the Caramel Coffee Stout were my favorites. As far as wine, the 1007 wine and the Chilean Malbec were my favorites as well. Pro tip: if anyone in your party doesn't drink but still wants to hang out, the manager made a killer virgin frozen Pina colada. My wife absolutely loved it! They ship their wines anywhere as well so definitely check out their website and support this great winery/brewery. Staff was super nice as well. I highly recommend them and we will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Cheers!

I was highly disappointed we had to leave the winery due to having a child- sleeping 7 week baby. I planned this evening for days since I hadn’t been out since having the baby. I don’t understand how they’ll let 18 and older..legal drinking age is 21?! Anyway, I chose not to take a wine bottle to go..that takes away from the whole experience. I do remember years ago there were children school aged in the winery, but whatever. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

DO NOT GO HERE. All breweries we have been to have always allowed children with a fun and inviting atmosphere, but not here. Especially no babies!!! We came here to relax and have a tasting. Just got horrible service even sitting outside and when it was cold. Grumpy people trying to run a bar shouldn’t be there. Good luck in the future. Going to need it.

A large group of us stopped here during my bachelorette party celebration a month ago. The wines were delicious (I bought a few to take home!), and we especially loved the wine flights! Another great feature is that this place is also a brewery, so the members of our group who prefer beer could opt to have that rather than wine. A little something for everyone! If you're in the area, it's worth a visit!

I highly recommend making this a stop as they have super reasonable wine tastings and also a small selection of craft beers so something for everyone. They are heavy on the sweeter wines and ports but they are super tasty and I highly recommend sampling several. They also had a great food truck Mammy Jo's and their food was delicious. They are also super dog friendly so if your pup enjoys coming with you it is fun for the entire family.

I wish I could give this place NO stars. Went here this past Saturday with my husband and we were not tended to right away. It was when we were noticed that we got rude service and we attempted to kill them with kindness by sharing our love for dogs. We noticed this morning that we received a charge for $100 after only having 4 pints of beer….we will not be coming back but hope our money supports those dogs in need they claim to help.

I wish I’d read the website more thoroughly, but children are not allowed anymore. We’d gone 5 years ago with our daughters and had the best time - we still have the glasses we got. On our trip to Rockport this weekend, my one request was that we go to Winery on the Bay again, because I fondly remember how kind the staff was to us and our children and how it had provided shelter and diversion on a very rainy weekend. We even rushed to make it before closing time, only to be greeted by a sign saying no one under 18 was allowed, even on the patio. The place I’d been looking forward to all weekend was no longer an option, so I’m disappointed to say the least.

The Texas Maritime Museum showcases the Gulf Coast's rich history through various exhibits and artifacts, including those related to pirates, fishing, and oil drilling. It is run by volunteers and funded primarily through donations. The museum offers a comprehensive overview of maritime history along the Texas Coast, from major battles to lesser-known moments. Visitors can also enjoy an observation tower on the third floor with stunning views. Highlights include models of offshore rigs and pictures of lighthouses. Don't miss the outdoor exhibits as well!

It would be a great donation accepted museum, but it isn't what they are charging for admission. The staff was almost friendly. The museum is small with three floors, but on of the floors is just the observation platform with no displays. The boat out back and the two life raft ships are neat, though I wish you could actually get on them. We were worried we wouldn't have enough time to see the museum before they closed, but the entire thing only took approximately 45 minutes to explore. If it was a free/donation accepted museum then it would have been good. At $28 for four adults it was a rip off. We have been to way better museums that were free. I would recommend passing on visiting this place.

100% Disabled and needed a spot to stretch my legs and get some fresh air for me and my caregiver. I had beautiful ADA Parking 🅿️ for me. Close to the Trailhead and the walkways and Bridges are 100% ADA compliant. Word of Caution. The Trailhead has attracted a few unsavory types. So avoid the homeless Fentanyl addicts and anyone riding on a Mountain bike trying to sell you Opiates. I had a run in with a very scary and sketchy drug dealer looking to sell me M-30 or Fentanyl Opiates. I am not the type to call the cops but I am going to tell my ADA audience to avoid them. It's only going to bring you ☠️ Death 💀. Other than that! Get out

My husband & Son went here for the first time today. As many times as we used to drive by it going to Wal-Mart we never stopped, but we did today. The gazebo is nice, and the little bridge was nice to stand on and look down into the water, but we personally believe it should be better maintained for sure, and it would get a 5 stars! All in all, it's a nice little place to sit and have lunch. Wr didn't go on the trail because we did not have enough time, but we will go back for that in the near future!
This is a fun way to spend a Saturday. All proceeds benefits local high school.

It's hard to rate this fairly. The day we went was windy and cold and just miserable. It looked like it could be a nice place to go to spend some time. We ended up racing through the place so we could get back to the car. They did have some neat items, but the cold wind drove us back inside.

We love to come they have just about anything and eveything here. Chimes, knives, mask, dog treat, plants, , face painting, air brushing, pecans and so much more. Lots to see and near the beach so you have that nice crisp breeze from the water. The live music is awesome the singer has a amazing voice easy on the ears and plays just about anything and eveything. We look forward to coming back each month.

As a frequent visitor to Rockport after moving to the Coastal Bend area recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the vibrant arts scene that the town has to offer. Among the many cultural institutions that grace its streets, the Rockport Center for the Arts stands out as a true gem of artistic inspiration.
In addition to its contributions to the local arts scene, the Rockport Center for the Arts plays a vital role in promoting tourism and economic development in the area. Its presence attracts visitors from near and far, who come to experience the beauty and creativity that Rockport has to offer. In doing so, it not only enriches the lives of residents but also contributes to the vitality and prosperity of the entire community.

This museum is a must see. It is comparable to a large city museum. The buildings are brand new, the old museum was moved down the street (if you’re interested in old buildings you should seek it out). The architecture on the new museum was eye catching with well placed windows, barrier walls, and zen garden. The art, both inside and out, was varied and interesting. The young lady who greeted us was friendly and welcoming (unlike the last person at the old museum). It’s worth a trip to Rockport at any time but definitely come for the museum.

Great place to stop by and see some amazing paintings/sculptures. We met a lady who gave us some information about the building and the artist. She was very friendly and super clear about the history of this place. If you need to cool off from the hot sun and like to look at art, come here! It’s free

Went on a Saturday and got to meet one of the artists that had an exhibit. Very down to earth guy from San Antonio named Ansen Seale. He took the time to speak to us and my daughter who loves art as well and even took time to see her art she had photos of. Very talented guy with great pieces of art. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Great location near shops and restaurants. Highly recommend a visit.

I booked the conference center. There wasn’t a way for me to review it so I decided to leave it here. Me and my husband wanted a small venue to have a small wedding ceremony and reception. I did a quick search of venues and found the conference center. I inquired about the space and ended up booking with Paulette. She was outstanding. We relocated to Austin a year ago so we did a lot remotely. Paulette really made it her mission to make sure we were satisfied with the space. The space is beautiful and spacious. With lots of options: foyer, ballroom, terrace, outside. Overall amazing experience, shall I need another venue in the future, Paulette will be my first call. Thank you very much for everything

What a beautiful facility! Rockport is so lucky to have such a great fine arts center. Lots of great art also--all for sale! Still beautiful. A very exciting place and great views from the second floor.

I have been to the old one before and now for the first time I see the new art center there and it's is amazing and has beautiful artwork there, nice place to go to.
Wanda Benavides (Sabrina) — Google review
Very nice inside and no doubt an asset to the community but I've seen warehouses and distribution centers that are more attractive. The architecture it completely at odds with the charming Rockport downtown.
john smith — Google review
Although the arts side of the center is beautiful, the conference center is a real gem. IMO it is the best venue in Rockport for meetings for up to several hundred attendees. The kitchen in the conference center is professional quality and would easily facilitate banquets. Lastly, the rental price is a steal by comparison with what some competitive venues in the area are charging for a lot less attractive space.

Great place to shop for eclectic and original Christmas gifts! Exhibits in multiple galleries change frequently. No admission fee!
This is a little corner of heaven! A nice little place to take the kids. There is a Pavillion an benches on path. Not too big. 30 minutes, if that.

Same thing year after year: dead. A few birds...if you count grackles and gulls. No water except a drip.

Lovely garden to attract birds and butterflies -- marked with plant names. Signage to tell you about Connie Hagar - citizen scientist in Rockport 1930s-1970s. This is a dedicated site on The Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail established by TPWD.

Great little hidden bird watching spot. Loved it!
Billy Snyder — Google review
I rated the small sanctuary for its potential. Yes, you will see birds, but the drought has taken it’s toll and the pond is dry. So hopefully in the spring, there will come rain and fill up the pond. Not sure if the flowering plants will come back or if they will be replanted.

My wife and I were staying on water street in May 2021. Just decided to give it a look. Saw tons of warblers, vireos, buntings, and other cool migrants. A week later I dropped by, and not much there. Like any place, its all timing. Of course its always a great place to relax, if you have some bug spray. Enjoy!
Mike Frisch — Google review
It was well laid out and had lots of explanatory signs. Unfortunately what used to be a pond is now swamp and the mosquitos were fierce.
Beautiful pools, one geared toward kiddos. I took a look around, didn’t swim. Bathrooms were clean. Lifeguards we’re at the ready. They have a couple of classes that look fun, set times for lap swimming, open swimming, even have a doggo dip day. Bad part: $200 a year! $150 for your partner. No discount for elderly or Medicare, which is a shame. Really nice facilities tho. Also, it is outdoors, so bring the sunscreen.

Price is great, both pool sections are nice and clean with plenty of room to have fun or just lounge in the sun. Lifeguards were attentive and paying attention to swimmers. Felt very safe if anything happened to myself or other swimmers during an accident/emergency. Lots of parking spots close for elderly/handicapped persons. They do have noodles for guests to use. And it was a great experience and I will be going back

You hv to pay 5$ everytime you re enter in a a single day !!! This is horrible!! The rate is 5$ a person daily !! This is wrong to recharge if someone wants to split their pool from morning to evening!! you'd think they would find a way to mark for re entry !!

Grandson birthday party there everyone loved it a very nice place. First time there. Two side, one kiddie and one big. This can be a plus or minus, just a personal thing. The water is not cold, heated to a comfortable temperature

The staff was very unprofessional. I waiting behind some friends that wanted to caught up with the workers in the booth . They turned and made eye contact but continued to chat. So I went around to the inside office to ask my question a bout renting a booth for a later date and then the lady from the other side wanted to come around and jump in the conversation not knowing when I wanted to rent the cabana she interrupted to say they were booked. The lady I was speaking with at the same time as me said a month from know? Wish I would have gotten her name but I was done and started to rethink my plans to revisit. The pool was amazing. Kids loved the slides although there was not a lot of water pressure so they continued to get stuck having to scoot down parts of it.
Robert moody — Google review
Great place for little kiddies!! There is a shallow pool and little slide that is continually monitored by the whistle blowers so no bad things happen but fun is somewhat curtailed. Still, a great place to cool off from the summer heat at a great price.
Rick Kretschmann — Google review
I loved all the activities, and that it's open year-round with a heated pool yay!

This is not a place for family fun! Ants are everywhere covering tables, chairs and now our clothing . Life guards are rude. Between lack of space and the unnecessary rules , there's no room for fun.
Would not recommend to anyone.

The Bay Education Center is a museum that offers interactive exhibits to educate visitors on the ecological significance of estuaries in the area. It is free to enter and perfect for families with young children, who will love exploring the various displays, including a model boat and ropes for learning knots. The center has a 3D globe in its back room that provides detailed information about the region. The highlight of the museum is the sphere that showcases real-time or past events related to estuaries.
My toddler loved it! They have added so much more since the last time we visited. Lots to look at and feel. Cute free outing!

This is right before the entrance to Rockport Beach. It is free and educational. My family and I are suckers for scavenger hunts. They have two options for a scavenger hunt. You can also pick a bag to collect trash off the beach to keep it clean. The coolest thing is the globe that plays movies.

This is a free museum that is very educational! We took our toddlers here and they absolutely loved it!! They have a neat boat, ropes to learn knots, different models with animal sounds and everything goes into great detail explaining each exhibit. You definitely have to check out the 3D globe they have in the back room it is pretty fascinating! Its a neat place to go with the kids if you're visiting Rockport! Right next to the beach too it doesn't get much better than that!!

Great place!! One of the ladies were not to friendly. The gentleman that is there working would go over and beyond being helpful.. We did buy a lot of items and the only one who told us thank you for coming please come again was the gentleman. The lady checking us out just really was not a happy camper. Can’t say it was an off day because we were there a week ago and she was rude when we asked about a price so we left. Thought we would give it another try and nope same attitude. Either way I still give it five stars because there is tons of neat stuff and the prices are pretty good!!

We used to like this place but after visiting several times it’s apparent that the prices are way too high. We’ve never bought anything there and it’s always the same junk. Junk museum is exactly what is place is. Not an antique store or store at all. Will not be back. Don’t waste your time.
