The Florida Botanical Gardens is a lush and diverse natural habitat spanning 90 acres. It boasts a variety of local and tropical flora in its cultivated gardens. During the Christmas light show, visitors can enjoy the magical atmosphere created by music and lights. While they request a $10 donation, it is not mandatory to participate in the festivities. Amenities such as food vendors and restrooms are available for convenience.
I am posting this for the people who want to visit during the Christmas light show. I would highly recommend this this is a great way to spend an evening the music the lights and the general atmosphere is fantastic. They request $ 10 donation but it is not a requirement. There is also a food vendor and restrooms if you need them. It is a great family outing . There is parking on several different sides and you can enter on any one of the parking lots. Make sure when you are meeting people that you both are at the same parking otherwise she will end up a complete opposite Inns of the Botanical Gardens just like I did.

Very cool place! We visited on our last day of vacation and we were unexpectedly surprised with how big it was. Many different varieties of plants and herbs as well as different gardens and structures to look at. They were doing some construction which at times was somewhat difficult to navigate around but nothing too bad. Be prepared to walk and make sure you have a map because it seems easy to get lost! We will be visiting again when we are in the area.

What a lovely place to visit…and it’s free. This is a great place to visit for all ages. There are many acres of beautiful trees and flowers and even some wildlife to admire and photograph. The paths are easy to navigate and meander throughout the park. Beauty is everywhere. The is a heritage village beside the park that does require an admission charge but it was closed on the day we visited. A great place for a walk or to immerse yourself in beauty.

Couldn't experience all of it due to my 6 yo son being hot but it was quite the place to come across on our way back to Orlando. It was beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of areas to sit and just enjoy the scenery.

Absolutely beautiful! There is some construction going on that will be fun for kids when done. Well kept and so many places to explore, it connects to the arts building and heritage village as well, this is a great day trip for all ages! I didn’t get to go on the wetlands trail but that means I get to go back and explore more!

We went for Holiday Lights in the Gardens. I loved it so much. It was so beautiful and had so many lights. There was a band singing Christmas carols. I loved the immense Christmas vibes. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful park connected with Heritage Village. We have been here multiple times for the Christmas lights, but recently came during the day to view the wildlife. We walked straight over from the back of Heritage Village. The gardens and native plants are beautiful. Lots of paved trails with easily accessibility. Some parts are less-shaded then others, so I would recommend extra sun protection. On one of the docks near the water we saw a family of alligators. Please keep dogs leashed and away from water when visiting.

Loved this adventure. Tons of things to do for the kids. They have a climbing honey comb which was great for the kids, a building foam tites, music poles etc. oh and the trees, plants and flowers were so beautiful. We were able to see lots of insects and wildlife. Worth the trip from Orlando.
Awesome place!!

The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida have to be the best, most delightful gardens we've toured. Many little design features throughout the gardens show how much care and effort has gone into creating a very beautiful and educational setting. The fact that admission is free means you can spend as much or as little time on each visit as you want, since it is easy to come back again. We definitely will be back again!!

Had such a great experience here visiting for the lights. It was a perfect night to walk around and see all the different light displays.
All the lights and grounds are so beautiful but my favorite is the tree decorated in the wedding garden, it's stunning.
We haven't had the chance to visit the garden during the day but are excited to do so. Can't wait for the children's garden as well that is being built right now.

Very tranquil place. Nice walking paths, very pretty flowers and such. Free is always an awesome thing too ! Bathrooms and some new things coming soon for kids. Just wish the maps they had weren't all faded and cracked. Besides that we enjoyed walking around the gardens.

This place is stunning! The paths are well-maintained, and there's a massive variety of plant life (native and not) to look at. It's a good walk, too! Bathrooms are available toward the center. Part of it is under construction, and I'll be sure to come back next year to see what it is. Highly recommend.

The Florida Botanical Gardens has taken a leap forward with its newly opened children's area, making it an even more family-friendly destination. The kids' section is thoughtfully designed, offering a delightful mix of educational and recreational activities that will captivate young minds. It's an excellent addition to the Gardens' diverse attractions.
For nature enthusiasts, the Gardens' bird watching opportunities are a real treat. With a variety of species to observe, it's a birdwatcher's paradise. You can also spot turtles and alligators in the serene water features, adding an element of excitement to your visit.
The Gardens offer ample parking space, ensuring a hassle-free experience, and the overall cleanliness is impressive. It's a must-visit for a day of natural beauty, education, and family fun.

Great place to explore different kinds of plants. They have you water scenery, little fun facts signs. You can see turtles, alligators, birds, bees, and butterflies. You got restrooms, a gift shop, and a charging spot for electric cars. If you want to take pictures, you can share it on the Facebook page. If you want something free to do. Good place to kill time, if you like nature things.

Beautiful, expansive, and peaceful Botanical Gardens. Quite a few gardens are offered as well as a nature trail. We stumbled upon some wild life on our walk, which was exciting! I have lived in Florida all my life and never visited the Botanical Gardens until recently. I have gone 3 times now. I have enjoyed it just that much. If you are looking somewhere to enjoy beautiful flowers, cactus, succulents and much more, this is your spot. The whole family would enjoy the gardens. The walking paths are nice. Anyone using a wheelchair would not have a issue maneuvering through the gardens. There are a lot of areas to sit and enjoy the view or to cool off, Florida definitely gets warm. I hope you enjoy the pictures and it will give you an idea what is in store if you drop by.

Wife and I took a trip Treasure Island, FL and decided to check this place out. It was really nice how there were so many areas to explore. We enjoyed learning about the different plants that are native to Florida. It looked as they were expanding but it did not impact our experience at all! This place is worth a visit!

I went here years ago and went to visit in August just before the hurricane and it was lovely. They are constructing a new section for kids and the spot with the town was not open when we came on a Monday. They are closed Monday and Tuesday for anyone any non florida resident that didn't know. Maybe next time we come. And the giftshop was also not open. They are doing some work. We must have come in the wrong time, but we all still had fun

Looked up this place while vacationing in Orlando, FL. It's free and very nice. We went in November, and they were setting up all the lights for Christmas. I'm sure it is pretty at night. You will see a lot of native plants to Florida as well as wildlife. We saw egrets and cranes and other birds as well. There is a butterfly 🦋 garden as you walk into the information center to your right. They have an area where couples can get married, which is so romantic. We had a nice afternoon walking through the gardens.
Maria D — Google review
A great outdoor space to bring your kids. Most of the children's garden was under construction, which was a bummer, but they still had the butterfly garden with musical instruments open.
We also walked the village. They had people working/volunteering in some of the buildings and they were all very helpful and had lots of interesting information to share.
After walking the gardens and village, we went inside to view the art gallery.
We got to do all of this for free! Which was awesome!

I've only visited during the holiday lights displays (this is my 3rd time) but always tell myself I want to come back during the day sometime! It's such a beautiful display and very peaceful. They have some vendors selling food, there are restrooms available, and they usually have some entertainers in the park as well. I highly recommend a visit during the holiday season, and other times of the year!

We visited for the holiday lights while we were recently in the area. The lights were very nice and we t was reasonable to get into the event. Tip for others attending in the future, while the attendant flags you into the tiny lot that is full, there is a large municipal lot next door you can park in and even has an entrance to the gardens.

Went during daylight hours to see the gardens. Sat down to eat dinner there (pavilion, with limited menu but really good food) and walked around after dark for their annual lights in the garden show. Just beautiful. If you get the chance, it's worth going to for some inexpensive family fun or romantic date night!

Beautiful place to visit! This is a nice location for the outdoor people, friends, family, date, etc. This garden is massive. We didn’t get a chance to explore every inch. But there were lots of seating areas and well as a lot of places for photo ops.
It’s FREE! Lots of parking. Either in the front or back. There a public restroom for you to use as well. It was located towards the back through the entrance. *Use at your own risk though.*
Photography is welcome! (With & without permits) Make sure to visit their site for the details. Leased pets are welcome too.
My family & I enjoyed ourselves though. It gave us something to do with the kids during the day. We were able to have a small picnic on one of the benches. The children’s garden is newer and the little ones will love it. Especially with all the sensory stimulation activities there.

A friend recommended we visit here to see Santa and we are so glad we stopped by. We originally came to just see Santa but enjoyed looking at so many of the other opportunities they had available today. The kids loved looking through the old homes, making ornaments and learning about the history of some of the homes. My kids ages are 12- 1 year old. It was a little hard in the houses to keep the 1 year old entertained but he enjoyed the outside areas.
It was so great to have guides that explained different aspect of the homes and blacksmith area.
We spent a couple hours here and still didn't make it through the whole village. We will be back because my kids definitely enjoyed it.
We will be back to finish our tour as well as venture into the Botanical garden.

Very cool historical houses! Some of the homes are staffed and they will tell you about the home and its contents. The general store was pretty cool as was the garage. You can walk around the grounds and take in the historical architecture. The coolest part to me, though, was the old train station.

Cozy historical park which I believe is ran by volunteers. I've visited countless times as a kid in school, and was even a flower girl once at a wedding in the old church. As an adult, it's been great to revisit and learn the history behind the buildings. There are paved walkways throughout the park that make it more accessible. We walked to the back of the park and through the gates to visit Botanical Gardens as well. A great educational place to take children.

Heritage Village is an outdoor historical museum located in Pinellas County. It discover some of the areas local history and preserves buildings by taking them from their original sites to gather them up in one area. I thought that the facility was kept clean and well maintained, although some signs showed some wear and tear.
The signs do show where you are and the brief history of every building. You can walk into most of the buildings, although some are locked because of a tour or whatever. During the day of our visit half of the area wasn’t even visitable. This makes the museum pretty mundane. We saw two employees during our visit: a guy in a wheelchair in one of the most furnished buildings, and the guy running the gift shop. Overall, this museum can do better.

Fun area to learn about the history of the area. They have information on every building and even a map that says where the structure was moved from. The village is all self guided and they have plenty of maps around.

George C. McGough Nature Park is a peaceful urban park that boasts an impressive population of aquatic turtles, which visitors can observe from a deck and boardwalk. This site offers free admission but accepts donations and provides opportunities to feed the turtles. In addition to the turtle sightings, guests can enjoy bird-watching and take a nature walk along boardwalk trails with beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway.
A local waitress, at the waffle house, told us about this place and we were not let down!

This park is also known as The Narrows. The park has a wonderful walking path. It is recycled tires. It really helps with discomfort you may feel when exercising. The walking trails are very shaded which is wonderful!
There is a nice playground for the children.
I enjoyed seeing the wildlife. The staff took out owls. The staff would answer questions that were asked. It was very informative.
You can walk out on bridges and see the water. That is very relaxing and enjoyable.
You can have birthday parties at the park as well. There is an area inside to do so.
Overall, I think you would enjoy the park if you visit.

We had a great time here. There are many knowledgeable people with different birds (a bald Eagle, screech owls, etc) that tell you about them and why they are there. Turtles were fun to feed and the tortoise as well. Beautiful trails and paths to walk on and a gorgeous overlook in the intracoastal. Ample parking. Highly recommend going here. We spent about 1-1.5 hours. Amazing that it’s free but donations definitely help them continue to do the amazing work they do.

The bridge by the water you can see the mangroves. Signs are everywhere guiding you. A little garden and playground is there. You gave restrooms at the main nature center. Which has snakes, owls, spiders, frogs, and toads inside. You can purchase tee shirts and kid toys. Events are posted also outside. Definitely should come here!

A local shared this place with us and I was pleasantly surprised how much fun me and my family had here. Its free other than if you'd like to leave a donation or feed the turtles. The turtles were in abundance. Lots of birds and things to take in for a little nature walk. The playground area needs a little maintenance but definitely stop and feed some turtles if you're in the area.

This is a super neat place to visit. They have a turtle pond with hundreds of turtles swimming, basking in the sun, riding on each others backs, turtles doing turtle things. I had no idea this place existed. For .50 cent you can buy turtle food and feed them by throwing in the water. I spent about $5.00 that day feeding them. (Who needs to do laundry when you can feed turtles?) I saw some huge soft shell turtles, regular turtles and one prehistoric looking turtle with a massive alligator looking head. They all came over once they saw the pellets being tossed. I also saw a couple of Raccoons. The sign says do not feed them but I snapped a picture of someone doing just that. There’s an inside area to see snakes and owls, and skeletons, an outside walking trail with a dock going into the bay. I stayed for about an hour. Young children would probably love this place. (They have a picnic and play ground area too) Cost is free but donations appreciated. This is one of those off the beaten path type places. I will return.

Awesome park with lots of things to do. Tons of animals to look at. Lots of turtles to feed(.50 cent for a little container of turtle food) raptors, eagles, vultures, owls, snakes and so many other neat rescued Animals around.
If you come with kids there's a playground with a few swings, zip line, and a few other playground equipment.
They also have special classes throughout the week u can sign up for. There's a pollinators garden u can walk through, bit it did look a bit un kept.
The only thing concerning is the african clawed frog they have inside looks really bloated. But I'm sure they are aware and trying to help it.
Would recommend you go here to pass time with or without family. Neat little place

What an awesome little nature park in the heart of Largo! We were directed to this nature park by family and it did not disappoint. First of all, it is free to visit this park! You can walk around looking at birds that have been rehabilitated (meaning can no longer live in the wild) and observe turtles that roam freely throughout the pond area. Towards the middle of the nature park there is a great little park that is perfect for kids. They have a zip line, swings, slides, and more. The park itself is very large and there are walking trails that lead out to inter coastal ways or you can stick close to the park building itself. There are also maps available inside the park building; this building houses more birds that cannot live out in the wild by themselves. It is an awesome place to spend an afternoon- families, couples, and friends alike can enjoy this place!

I had the pleasure of visiting the George C. McGough Nature Park in Largo, Florida, and it was a delightful experience that left me in awe of the natural beauty and tranquility it offers. This hidden gem is truly a sanctuary for both wildlife and nature enthusiasts.
The park's ambiance is peaceful and serene, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lush greenery, native vegetation, and the meandering boardwalks create a calming atmosphere, and it's a haven for anyone looking to reconnect with nature.
One of the highlights of this park is the abundant birdlife. As a birdwatching enthusiast, I was thrilled to spot a wide variety of avian species. From herons and egrets to wading birds and songbirds, the park is a birdwatcher's paradise. The bird blinds and well-maintained trails offer excellent opportunities for observation and photography.
In addition to the feathered friends, the park is home to turtles, fish, and even the occasional alligator. The park's resident animals add to the overall charm, and it's a great place for wildlife enthusiasts and families with children who want to learn more about the local ecosystem.
The park's educational aspect is commendable, with informative signs and displays that enhance the visitor's understanding of the local flora and fauna. It's a fantastic place for both leisurely walks and educational excursions.
The volunteers and staff at the George C. McGough Nature Park are passionate about conservation and are always willing to share their knowledge. Their dedication to the park's preservation and their eagerness to engage with visitors is evident.
The park's facilities, including the clean restrooms and picnic areas, make it a comfortable place to spend a few hours or an entire day. Whether you're looking for a peaceful nature walk or a place to have a family picnic, the park accommodates it all.
In conclusion, the George C. McGough Nature Park in Largo, Florida, is a hidden oasis of natural beauty, wildlife, and educational experiences. It's a fantastic place for people of all ages to appreciate the local environment and take a break from the urban hustle. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and educational day outdoors. It's a true treasure in the heart of Florida.

This was a really cool little near by nature park. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because not all the trails are open. They have a turtle pond stocked with at least 6 types of Florida turtles and they house a small collection of birds of prey. The walking trail has that bouncy fake mulch throughout so it is very easy on your feet and there is plenty of parking.
Walsingham Park is a county park in Seminole that offers various habitat areas, including a reservoir and botanic garden. Visitors can enjoy fishing and hiking activities while surrounded by flat, green picnic areas and trees. The park features paved trails for walking or biking and a boat ramp for water access. Families with children can take advantage of multiple play areas and pavilions for gatherings, while dog owners will appreciate the large dog park with separate big and small dog areas.
Great park near Largo/Seminole for walking your dog. There's a nice paved trail around the whole lake, with shaded trails through the trees and water views. Would be a great place to ride your bike and has 2 entrances on either side of the park. If you come from Walsingham, you can see some of the houses in Heritage Village on the road along the trail. There are trash cans available throughout the whole park and multiple clean shelters for use. The playground was shaded and the bathrooms were well maintained in good working order.

It's a great, safe place for kids to come and jump. The A/C is cold and there's a parent lounge upstairs. FYI: the connect 4 basketball game is $2 a person and it goes really quick..

My kids love this place! Been there 4 times in the past year and want to come back for more. My kids are 2 and 4 y.o. and we usually buy “90 minutes little leapers” time slot from 9.30 to 11am. Those are the days when I get the best nap times 😅

My 2 grandsons had their birthday party here today and it an absolute success! The staff were all professional and attentive, the entire facility (including the restrooms) were very clean and well maintained, and even the food was good! This was my first time here and I'm proud to say that I was not disappointed. All of my grandsons guests enjoyed themselves as well. Thanks Sky Zone for making our birthday party a smashing success!! 🎂🥳🎁🙂

Sky zone is great we went for toddler time and they were playing the music so loud that my daughter had sensory overload and had to cover her ears. We went to the staff and she asked them to turn it down. She's only three. And they turned it down and we had a great time!
Eagle Lake Park is a wonderful place for a summer day out. The park has beautiful trails and ponds, as well as ample parking. There is also a playground and a dog park, making it perfect for families.
Wish we had found this park sooner! Beautiful and peaceful paths. Didn't think this park was so big considering its in the middle of Largo. They also have a decent size dog park and lots of pavilions for family fun.

This is a great park for the family. There are many areas to enjoy including pavilions, piers, benches, paved trails, unpaved trails, and more. We saw lots of different types of birds, fish, turtles, squirrels. There is a decent playground and several bathrooms around the park. The trails, both paved and unpaved, are stroller friendly. We will definitely come back.

This is a great park, lots of wildlife and many trails of different lengths.
Lots of dog walkers, some bikes (be alert to them coming up fast behind you).
We saw lots of wildlife. Heads up that there is very little shade.
Nice park overall.

Beautiful park with lovely trails, allowing you to pass through nature while bird, alligator and turtle watching. They have plenty of biking trails and walking paths, along with areas to sit and relax as well as have lunch. Plenty of trash cans set up as well so there was no litter to be seen. Highly recommend if you're staying in the area and want to get out for some exercise.

Today's lunch spot. This is where my GPS took me . Beautiful little Park with a asphalt walking trail that wraps around Eagle Lake. It had bathrooms at each end of the park. A couple of pavilions to host a party. And a shaded walking trail under a canopy of trees. Last day of daylight savings. The sky was gorgeous

Absolutely love coming to this park with and without my kiddos. They have a great playground with restrooms nearby. Behind the playground is the perfect tree for your kids to climb on :) There are benches throughout the park with many trails surrounding the large pond with mini walking bridges and lookout points. This park also has a dog park and plenty of feild space to play.

We love that Pinellas County has so many amazing parks and Eagle lake is one of them!
Eagle lake has a lot to offer. Walking trails, playground, dog park, lake, picnic shelters and bathrooms.
They have paved and gravel trails to walk on, you can choose which way to go. There are so many trails to follow on Eagle lake Loop. According to All Trails app both trail loops are about 2.5 miles.
The playground has a toddler area and bigger kids area to play. The dog park is fenced in and offers a good amount of shade.
The lake has wooden dock that goes around the lake to check out the fish and Turtles. On our visit today we saw lots of Turtles 🐢.
Bathrooms and picnic areas are clean and seem to be well maintained.
So grateful for this park to walk around and be in nature to explore with our kids.

I like this dog park. It's very big, clean, shady, and has lots of benches to sit. I prefer this park because other parks have a lot of dirt and my dog ends up so dirty when we leave. This one has more grass and leaves so he doesn't get as dirty. There's a bathroom nearby and it's clean. There's also trails you can take them on.
Gleydy Nova — Google review
Love this park mostly for walking or biking the trails. There are a few non paved walking trails on the back side which is great if you’d like not to run into anyone. The dog park is nice but it’s mostly dirt expect the small dog pen. So expect to get dirty. They have 3 pens, small, medium and large. I prefer talking the dogs walking throughout the park. There are a few lakes and sometimes you can see alligators and they have very nice look out points on the lakes.

Eagle Lake Park in Largo, Florida, is a serene and picturesque lake that offers a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors. Located in the heart of Pinellas County, this park spans approximately 163 acres, providing a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of urban. Notice a separate dog park for large dogs and one for small dogs. Even has a walk just for dogs.

One of my favorite little parks in the Clearwater area. Tucked away and quiet. The trail has two, 1 mile loops. Both are very scenic and go along water. Wildlife is abundant. Kids area too. Just an awesome place!

Very cool scenery! I was greeted by an alligator, he kept his eye on me and kept swimming alongside of where I was walking. I was a little spooked but it was exciting.

It was my first time exploring this park yesterday.
If you feel like you need an escape from the city this park despite its location, will have you feeling lost in the woods. Literally. If you aren't afraid of taking a walk off the trails, you can immerse yourself in some beautiful landscape. DEFINITELY gave me the Forrest in the movie Twilight.

We had many great days, many times in this park. Ideal place for many reasons: relaxing or exercising / getting some quiet, peaceful time alone / have fun time, picnic with friends / make and collecting lovely memories with family. Kids enjoy for the playground too.

John S. Taylor Park is a public green space located in IRB, offering various recreational activities such as disc golf course, multi-use trail, play equipment and picnic areas. The park features a large lake where visitors can enjoy nature walks, ride bikes or have fun with family and friends. However, it is important to be cautious of alligators while exploring the area.
I loved this Park is amazing and gorgeous. My dog enjoys a walk in the park. Excellent for riding bikes and having a lot of fun with family and friends. I am so impressed only two miles from Hampton Inn Largo.

Good local park.
It has a nicely maintained disc golf course.
The tilapia fishing is excellent. Biggest talapia I've ever seen.
Good wildlife too.
I do not recommend letting your dog get too close to the water as gators are large and abundant.
Has just over 1 mile of walking/riding trail, unpaved.

Perfect. The local parks (I stayed in IRB) are very nice. This is one of many, within 5-15 min drive. Runners, bicycles, walkers, disk golf, dog walking, nature, picnic areas…. Please be aware of the alligators!!!!

Great little trail to walk around. A lot of wildlife for a small lake, it's coming on mating season for the gators so hearing them call to eachother was awesome!
Disc Golf looks popular for those inclined, also swing sets for the little ones.
Lyndy Zimmer — Google review
I love this park, and I live right behind it, so that is why it's so hard to see the deteriorating conditions. Upkeep is not like it used to be, and conditions are not all together safe from wild animals that naturally live here. The waters edge is not mowed anymore, so alligators can be lying in wait for your little dog; please be extra careful near the water. They have not bush hogged the interior, so many coyotes live in the park. Spanish moss has taken over many of the trees, and alot of ducks and water fowl do not return anymore. The homeless camp in the back corner will be a never ending issue. I hope to see more attention being brought back, because this can be a beautiful park and has so many wonderful assets if maintained better. Great for picnics, sunsets, disc golf, walkers, joggers, kids, parties.....it's an all-round great atmosphere and super dog friendly.

This disc golf course is amazing! Id go as far to say it's a luxury course. It has benches and bag hangers at every tee. Most of it is under tree canopy with lots of shade which for Florida heat is great! I highly recommend it.

I'm in love with this park. It has a scene for whichever mood you're in. The trees are gorgeous and the waters full of bird wildlife! I love seeing the occasional Spoonbill spooning the waters for food. The gators are pretty and fascinating to watch from a distance as they prowl/sun bathe.

This place was incredible find today. Beautiful park on a small waterway. With a loop, that's a mile and a half hike all the way around. You can fish or you can just sit and relax. They also have a huge #DiscGolf course. A huge 10 ft alligator. You definitely have to be on alert at all times. When walking down any of the paths throughout this park. There's benches down all the paths. With some nice shaded areas to take a break on a hot day. And of course a large variety of birds

The Highland Family Aquatic Center is a city facility that offers a range of water activities suitable for all ages. The center boasts an Olympic-sized pool equipped with springboards, waterslides and swimming lessons, as well as a snack bar for refreshments. It's an ideal spot to visit with your family, offering big slides for older kids and adults, medium slides for younger children and small slides for toddlers.
This is a great place to come with the kids. There are big slides for older kids and adults, medium slides for younger kids, and small slides for little kids. There are lots of life guards and different types of water equipment to keep everyone occupied. There are a few sets of shaded tables to escape from the sun. Pricing is reasonable. If we lived closer, we'd definitely be back.

At first I was apprehensive of the 2-hour time limitation but once we got out here and chasing the grandkids for 2 hours I was ready to go home. The place is well maintained and the kids really have a lot of fun here. And I love the $8 price, it beats any of the big water parks.

We have been going to Highlands for many years! We have had family functions there! And this year we had a nice school function there also! The funny thing is I used to go there before it was this pool when it was the original pool 50 years ago LOL! The staff is very very friendly! Very reasonable price to go swimming I like their schedules! I like it that you just can't drop your kids off for the whole day off so formation Mark get what I mean! Thank you for having such a wonderful facility for everybody to enjoy! I like everything about Highlands the this is all Recreation facilities! The park! The kids have a nice playground! Thank you for being there..
I have so many pictures over the years that I never took my phone so it never showed me being there so here is the beginning of some pictures this was this past summer

My family and I went today for the first time. It wasn't crowded at all so we had plenty of room to swim and enjoy the facility. The place is clean and well managed. The snack bar is very affordable and offers a variety of items. The only drawback is that each session is only 2 hours so by the time you start really enjoying it, your time is almost up. I wish they charged a little more, like $10-12 and offered sessions of 3 hours instead.
Caroline Carr — Google review
It was very fun visiting this park. I wish it was open for longer than 2 hours at a time on the weekend, but I understand that it's a lot of work to manage all the people that come in. There is a very nice playground on the inside also that's accessible but you have to choose whether or not you're going to do the playground or the pool. Everything else is awesome. Great place for families to engage and play!

Posting one star because the hours are completely asinine. Overall, great facility but definitely not worth $8/person for only 2 hour sessions. Would consider a membership if the hours were better.
Chris Budden — Google review
We visited on July 4 with the thought the local pool would be less crowded than the gulf beaches. We had a great time! The two big water slides are a lot of fun. The straight one is very fast (you can almost skip across the pool on your back) and the curvy one is fun too.
My youngest was too short for the slides and not a great swimmer yet, so while she felt left out at times she still had fun in the other areas.
Jonathan Aurand — Google review
Nice. Clean. Kids enjoyed it very much. My only complaint is it is 8 dollars a person for two hours. I feel like that is a little much for only 2 hours.
Great little park for picnics or birthday party's with there shelter they have and also public restrooms, and a play ground, but let's not forget the covered shelter out on the water the had a nice walk and information signs to get too

Nice little park. Boardwalk is fine all the way to the observation deck at the end. Some little crabs along the way. Nice set of bat houses, although the sign about bats could be updated. Nice walking trail.

Kids had so much fun at the birthday party we were invited to. The family had set up a bouncy house, lots of simple snacks and ordered in Pizza. There is a playground and lots of room to run. The one drawback is that there is a small pond, pretty close the the eating area, so keep a close eye on those curious little explorers!
Amanda Gonyea — Google review
This park is off the beaten path. It is located in a neighborhood.
Unfortunately, this park does not offer much.
The walking path has a lot of broken sidewalk. If you decide to walk here, please be careful. If you use walker or wheelchair, I would not utilize the walking path.
There are signs stating, no dogs allowed on the trail.
There is a bridge that leads to a beautiful area that over looks the water. The bridge is safer to walk on. There are no broken slats.
There are covered areas to enjoy, along with grills to use.
There is a small playground (see picture).
There are restrooms available by the playground.
There is a large covered area to enjoy as well. Great for functions.
One of pluses about this park is the tranquility. It is very peaceful. That I enjoyed very much.
Jessica Coley — Google review
This park is ok for a city park, but to classify it as a nature park is misleading. Although there are some old interpretive signs, the park is obviously neglected. It is riddled with class I invasive exotic plants. There’s some native plants, but they seem to struggle. This park needs a scout troop or native plant society group to adopt it, and do a clean out of the invasive plants. At water’s edge, some sea grass planting would be great as well. Didn’t see very much wildlife.

I have grown up with this park and now my daughter is enjoying nature here as well! When I was a kid we would come and dig up Indian artifacts such as arrows and other fossils. You would also catch pet fiddler crabs and fish. I'm glad that they continue to preserve the park and make it stay the quaint little Park full of nature. It's very peaceful and as always been a place I'm able to walk or just sit and meditate.👍

Not much to say. No bathrooms unless I am dumb, nice playground, not much/any wildlife. Beautiful trails, but that's about it. Limited parking.
Largo Central Park Nature Preserve is a beautiful natural area that is teeming with wildlife. It boasts scenic trails, a lookout tower and a serene pond. Furthermore, visitors can explore the butterfly garden or launch their kayaks from the park's designated area. With an abundance of flora and fauna to observe, this nature preserve offers an opportunity for visitors to connect with the great outdoors in a peaceful setting.
This place is amazing to walk through and see all typed of wildlife!!! You can definitely walk there more then once and see new things. Saw a huge gator, all types of birds, fish, and turtles. Plus lots of neat flowering plants and friendly squirrels!!! Great for biking and walking. They have a nice boardwalk set up through the woods and around the lake. And it is all free!! Had clean restrooms. Will definitely go back.

Free nature walking area. You can easily walk the whole thing in around 30 min...but you can take longer by lingering to look at animals or have a picnic out front at the tables.
You'll see mostly birds and turtles. Great balance of sun and shade.
Love the water bottle refill station.

Very beautiful park. Has a lot of wildlife, from turtles to birds to alligators to spiders. They have many different paths, with boardwalks around the lake and up to the observation deck. Semi busy, next to a golf course. Paved path has a lot of bike use, so watch where you put your stuff while taking photos.

The preserve is very nice and well maintained. The entrance fee is free as well as the parking! The wildlife there is also incredible you can see herons, snowy egrets, fish, gators, turtles and more. You can walk the boardwalk that is right above the marshlands to give you a close up view of the wildlife. There are bathrooms there as well as educational “exhibits” for the children.

It's a nice little section of nature in a busy town! My family and I enjoy walking on the boardwalk trying to find alligators or different kinds of herons, limpkins, cormorant, and other birds. It's not a fully manicured park, so sometimes there's trash floating.

I have been visiting this park since it opened. We never get tired of it. Each visit brings us a new adventure. We saw a bald eagle, 4 gators, and many different species of wading birds. There is a family of otters that live in the canals by the golf course and they are adorable. The park is well kept. The only issue we would ever have involve the garbage other visitors leave. The rangers do a good job keeping it clean though. We are very lucky to have this piece of natural Florida right in the middle of Largo.

The Bayhead Action Park is a vast outdoor area that features various amenities such as a lake, sports courts, picnic spots, and a dog park. It is situated in an enjoyable neighborhood and maintained to be clean despite not being perfect. The basketball court serves as an enclosed practice space for new skaters while the graffiti-covered skate park caters to skateboarders' needs. The patrons are well-behaved and responsible individuals who do not disturb others with loud music or noise.
Nice park in a nice area. I'm a new skater so I practice on the basketball court since it's enclosed as well as empty in the mornings. The park is kept clean, not perfect but definitely not littered. The court is always clean and clear.. The skate park is covered in graffiti but...it's....a...skate park.....so I don't know what tell you...
The patrons are respectable and responsible. Never loud music or loud people.

It's your very basic skatepark. The graphic graffiti is terrible. If you look at the pictures, you see they do nothing about this. Their big public park across is beautiful.
Spike Hopkins — Google review
Bayhead was okay until the city painted the street section over for the graffiti. Now i understand that graffiti maybe unpleasant for some viewers but painting the coping (rail going across on top of the ramps) and ground makes it extremely unsafe for anyone to use when it gets barely rained or when its bright out you can't see bc its white paint and reflects the sunlight. There is a steep quater in the back of the street section that you now cant even tell has coping on it which is an injury involving someone less experienced waiting to happen. Its sad bc alot of people grew up skating that park before others were built, if they keep repainting it could be too slick for anyone for good and unusable. Just cover the spots, dont go overboard. Its a skatepark so why not let it have a little culture?
Nice to have more than one board for diving. The pool is the only place we have visited so far but tennis courts and park are by visible from pool area. Bring your own chair so you can follow the shade. The park is pretty nice. Looks like it has a playground and a work out loop. And a mini zip line!

Definitely recommend. I can't review the entire place as I haven't really used alot of their facilities, but we do utilize Friday night Fun for the kids. We drop them off at 630pm on Friday evening and pick them back up at 930pm. My 9yo plays with her fiends, my 7 year old plays video games and I'm really not sure what my 5yo does, but he seems to have fun. They have themed nights like Glow night and Nerf gun night. The kids beg to go every week so we drop them off. It's super cheap and we send them each with $3 for pizza a drink and candy. Perfect safe place to drop kids off and let them learn alittle independence.

My husband and I use the fitness room 3 times a week. We like to come on Sundays because it is less crowded. The problem is I'm not sure if it is because of less staff members working on this day but on Sunday when you walk from lobby area into the fitness center it is extremely hot and also the wall fans either aren't on at all and if they are they have neglected to have them oscillate. With the temp being so hot in this area it is necessary to at least have all fans fully operating. The young man says he's not sure why the air conditioning isn't functioning correctly. If there is a problem can it please be fixed. Also it would be nice to invest in new fans that work properly.

I tried the Sword fighting class there on Saturday at 1130am and it was so fun. I got to use long swords and side swords and even a sabre. They taught actual fighting techniques and though i didn't spar, the sparring was awesome. They had safety gear for people who didn't bring their own. I thought i would be intimidated, but the teachers were great and by the end of the class i felt like i was getting it. I will be going back and maybe I'll get my own sword and gear eventually!
Pastor Jonathan was spot on with his delivery of God's word. He was very candid and honest about himself and the church members were very friendly and made us feel like we had been there numerous times already. We're only here on vacation but I feel as though I've found a church away from home that I feel like I can count on to preach the word of God and to show joy and enthusiasm when doing so. Jonathan is a great pastor and preacher. Some leaders are good at one it the other. New Life is blessed to have a pastor like him that does both well. When he preaches, you can count on hearing what the Bible says and not just his opinion. I love music but God's word is what's most important when I attend church. Jonathan truly loves people and you can tell he does when you meet him. He will make you feel like you're family the first time you visit New Life.

New Life Baptist Church is a phenomenal group of people. This is the Church where my son and his wife and children attended services. I can't say enough about pastor John and his congregation. They didn't know our family from anyone else's and they comforted us and took care of us as if they had known us forever. This Pastor did, and is still doing things for our family, since the passing of my son and his wife. The congregation has done so much for the family, but they have not stopped doing for my 19 yr old, and 21 yr old grandsons that lost both their parents. This church is so full of love and compassion. The congregation is down to earth, and are real people just like you and me. A lot of churches are so fake. This church is the real deal. I plan on attending this church and hope to become a member of the wonderful group of people there.

I met pastor Johnathan about 3 weeks ago. This guy is very caring and always looking out for the people he loves. This pastor will go out of his way to help people that needs it. The church feels like a home away from home. Hes very passionate about what he loves doing and that's preaching. Me personally cant thank him enough for being there through all the tough times. So if you're looking for a great church environment NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH is the place to be!!!!
What an incredible experience here today! We tried 4 different beer flights, with all different beers, they were all incredible, and fresh. Worth the price and experience.
We loved being able to try the flights to see which one was our faves.
The staff was extremely friendly and easy going. The owner helped us pick our fave and was able to explain each beer to us.
The best part was being able to buy our favorite canned ones to take home! Can't wait to drink them again and come back every time we are in town!

Great brewery. One of the only true breweries on the beach. When we were here, they had 18 beers on tap, so there's something for everybody. My wife isn't a big beer drinker, but the seltzers and sours they offered were great for her. Had a couple of flights and enjoyed every beer I sampled. Food was solid! Bartenders are very attentive and treat everybody like regulars. We always make sure to come here when we are on vacation.

Super laid back vibe to this brewery. Really cool interior and there's decent parking. Tried a couple of the Gose offerings, plus the guest tap and the coffee lager (1, 2, 10, 15) Great merch and a point system to earn free beers. Definitely worth a stop in.

I love Anecdote! We've been coming to this area on vacation for the past few years. This brewery became out favorite place to stop every time we are here. Great beer, friendly staff, fun atmosphere!

First time visiting this brewery and I must say I've been to alot of breweries and this place made me feel like a regular, the staff were friendly and for a small batch brewery they definitely have something for everyone from IPA's to Sours and Ciders to everything in between. We didn't have any food as we had just ate and to our surprise they were having a music bingo night which I thought was pretty cool. So if your looking for a nice down home brewery feel but near the beach this is a great place to stop into. My hats off to the wait staff for being so friendly that is a plus in my book and if I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely coming back....👍💪🤘

Awesome beer choices, seriously unique flavors! And do yourself a favor, grab a bite – that Iberico panini is pure yum! Casual vibes, good brews, and tasty eats – can't go wrong. Cheers to that! 🍻

Fantastic brewery! Wonderful beers on tap with a great selection of choices. Certainly something for everyone. I ordered a pint of Ginger Slap and wasn't disappointed. I sampled the White Hippo and the Pink Paradox...both excellent beers and I would have ordered pints if I wasn't driving. Great laid back beach vibe with a friendly staff. Definitely going back again. Someone else can drive next time.

We drove by this place so many times and never noticed it before, even though we live nearby. I would suggest better marketing to let people know you're around. We found it when Shiso Crispy did a pop up food truck there. It's great to have a place like that on Gulf Blvd, I don't think there's another Brewery nearby. It's simple and basic, but we found what we needed. My cider was really good, everyone else seemed to have liked their selections. I don't know if they have food on other days, I hope they do! Now that Shiso Crispy will be there permanently, we will be at that place a lot!
Great atmosphere! Great beer! I'm enjoying their red ale at the moment, the name escapes me but I'll be getting another one shortly. It's a rainy night so everyone is inside, It's roomy and there's a nice selection of seating and they serve food, just ate so not trying that tonight but I'll be back for sure!

My favorite thing to do here is to give bartenders choice on my drink. I love all their beers and the surprise is always an experience!

This is a great spot with a good vibe. They brew the beer in house and I must say. It’s great! I’ve stopped by a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. Rodney has been behind the bar both times and he’s never steered me wrong with drinks or food choices from the On Brazilian food truck next door. It’s a good spot and worth visiting.

Went here for the first time last night with my beautiful friend Allison. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great selection of beer and wine; and an inviting atmosphere. The bar top is a work of art. The keg sink in the bathroom is super cool. I highly recommend.

Nice spot for a beer on a Sunday afternoon, but was really disappointed in their selection. On their FB page they showed beers of varying types, but when we got there, all the Olde Florida beers were light or sour beers; most of the stuff they have on tap is from other breweries. Granted they were really good sours and they have only been open for a year, but we were disappointed in the variety. Hope to come back when they have more of their own on tap.

Bartender was great, owner not so much. Pretty disappointed that they serve more beers from other breweries than their own at an inflated price. Best of luck! We did have Green Bench in St Pete earlier in the day and I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park
We would like to express our gratitude to Amanda for her exceptional efforts in handling the funeral services at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Her dedication went above and beyond what is typically expected in such circumstances. We were impressed by the efficient organization of operations and the thoughtful accommodations made to ensure the comfort of grieving families during this difficult time. Amanda's ability to quickly understand family dynamics and anticipate their needs was truly remarkable.
I cannot recommend Serenity funeral service enough. I recently lost both my parents, and had zero clue about how to plan a funeral. I was treated with genuine care and compassion. Everything was so organized, and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to everyone. Thank you for helping me close this chapter with such Grace and support.

I wanted to write a review so that families experiencing loss would know about the wonderful service offered at Serenity Funeral Home and Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. After losing my Mom, we had set an appointment and met with Brad and Jessica. From the moment we arrived they guided us through the difficult decisions we had to make with great compassion and understanding. We were able to go through every detail and found comfort in their guidance even though we were having a hard time, they made it easy to do. On the day of our service, Steve was there to make sure everything went smoothly. I cannot express the gratitude I have for every member of their staff and the wonderful job the care team did with caring for my Mother and making her look as beautiful as she was. All the important things we mentioned we wanted for her and her service were perfect in every way. The ground of the Memorial Park are just absolutely gorgeous and you can see the pride they take in ensuring a beautiful experience in such a difficult time. If you are in need of their services, please be sure to reach out to them, you won't be disappointed. Thank you again to the staff, we are so happy we had you to guide us.

The staff here are extraordinary and amazing. They handled everything with tremendous attention to detail and care. Emma was our rock and insured. Everything went as we desired and went above and beyond to help us with the obituary and all other coordinations. The funeral home itself is beautiful and the service to include the display for the celebration of life was literally amazing! I would never go anywhere else and will likely even go to the length of arranging future planning for ourselves. The people here have big hearts and truly care and will not only make your experience as easy and seamless as possible but really go the distance and ensure that everything is perfect.

Needing the services of Serenity Gardens is never because of something good that has happened in your life. That being said, my experience at Serenity Gardens was amazing. My team, Emma and Amber, helped make the unthinkable approachable. They softened the experience with gentleness, extraordinary kindness, and a very welcomed and subtle sense of humor. I am very detailed when planning any event, this one was no exception. And while I am sure my constant questions Became a lot at times, both ladies never batted an eye and took so much compassionate care of me and my wishes. From the moment they shook my hand and introduced themselves, until we hugged goodbye, my experience was nothing short of perfection.

Very professional service from Jessica and Jamie. They were both very helpful and Jessica is a sweetheart and spent so much time scanning all of my mom's photos!
I loved the ease of the website they set up for my mom, and I have had contact with long lost family and friends through it. I liked being able to customize my package and purchasing only what we wanted and needed.
I bought the shadowbox for my nephew and he loved it! All of the special touches were so appreciated!

Overall, a great experience. Clean facility and good communication. Care team was responsive when needed. One front desk lady could have been a bit nicer with her tone at times but other than that, we had a great experience. Was impressed by all the different options presented to celebrate one’s life. Funeral director was patient and explained things well; we would use Serenity again.

At a time when you have lost a loved one and you are broken and fearful and not knowing what to do, except respond to questions, it is an amazing opportunity to have Dignity Serenity Memorial Gardens working for you. They listen, they feel, they discern, they create and they somehow know, through your broken responses, how to best display the love that you had for your loved one. They showed no pressure whatsoever, they showed gentle and caring respect for the brokenness and loss of your loved one.

Typical department store. It was clean with reasonably good customer service. Bealls is ridiculously over priced. $60 for cheap cloth shoes poorly made. I took my 90 year old mother there to shop. I personally do not shop there as I find the merchandise geared towards the elderly and the prices inflated.
