The National Quilt Museum is a remarkable exhibition space that showcases an extensive collection of quilting and textile arts. The museum offers rotating exhibits, workshops and features beautiful creations with bright colors and intricate details. Visitors can admire the creativity in each quilt, including a wooden one displayed in a separate room. Even if you are not particularly interested in quilting or textiles, this art gallery is worth checking out as it presents stunning works of art that will leave you fascinated.
Wonderful museum. Admission price is reasonable and there are some stunning works of quilted art to be seen. The studio space is well organized and thoughtfully filled. Gift shop has a few great finds.

It was just okay. I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting older quilts and some frames of older times to be on display. The oldest quilt dated back to 1980. They were more modern. Sewn with sewing machines, which is still a lot of work, but I look at a National Museum as having really old artifacts. Hand seen quilts along side of the newer ones. Frames that were used in my grandmothers and great grandmother's times and beyond. Things like that. Pictures from those eras. There were some nice quilts there. There was a Shakespeare section on display. I did like some of those as I do like some Shakespeare.

What an amazing place to see the craftsmanship of quilters. Some of the quilts were like paintings and each had a big story behind it. Absolutely loved the museum and displays Actually we went there an hour early and the staff was so courteous and let us in early. So very accommodating. A must see in Kentucky

Great place to visit even if quilting isn't your thing! This was actually my husband's idea because he had seen the sign for it as we were driving! When I looked up pictures it looked really neat so we made time to check it out! We are so glad we stopped because it was amazing! Lots of beautiful creations and bright colors! If you enjoy art in general, this is a great place to check out. We were in awe at the fine details and creativity in each quilt. They even had one made from wood in a seperate room! Very fascinating! They let you take pictures, just no flash photography!

Great exhibits with a fantastic staff. My wife and I love quilts and really enjoyed the museum. These quilts are from the late 1980's up.

I was expecting lots of bed quilts but was pleasantly surprised to see many works of art quilted. Stunning detail. If you scan the code below a short description, you’ll find more details.

It was very neat to see all the different styles and types of quilting. I never knew so much of this. And they had a special exhibit by Dr. Karen Nyberg, noted astronaut. I was impressed by the depth and breadth though admittedly I would have liked more historical quilts. Admission prices are fair for a museum. Would recommend.

Very unique museum with so many talented textile artists! I just happened to stop there on my way to Saint Louis, and it was a great road trip break. The admission fee as of April 2023 is 12 dollars.

The museum was filled with amazing quilt pieces with a variety of subjects and displaying many different techniques. It is visually appealing enough to keep our six year old engaged while we wandered the exhibitions.

I happened on the museum on the day of the total eclipse and they were hosting people on their lawn to view it. Their staff was enthusiastic to tell me about the museum, encouraged me to walk around, and shared some of their own passions with me. Everyone here was awesome. I loved hearing other crafty people talk about the techniques they noticed used in the various works, which were very impressive. I'll be back!

Amazing skill and artistry on rotating displays. Quilts are on caliber of a fine art museum. To fully appreciate plan to spend several hours. We have visited twice now and plan to make this a regular inclusion when passing thru KY. Not just for quilters!

What an awesome place. I brought my wife here because she is a quilter for our 10 year anniversary. All I can say is wow! How awesome is this place. Don't worry fellas they got places for us to sit down. But these quilts are a sight to see. Ty for helping make our trip awesome.

If you love sweet wines, this is the place that's worth a visit! Came here for free wine tasting and ended up buying 3 cases of wines to bring back home. Must try their famous Black & Bruised, Paducah Blue (most sweetest), Black Currant, Cranberry, and Cabernet Sauvignon (dry wine). I also came here during the Spring season and visited their 🍇 vineyard.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a skull bottle online from Purple Toad Winery, initially intended as a unique vessel for a terrarium project. Admittedly, I'm not typically a wine enthusiast, but the inclusion of their 'Black and Bruised' wine with my purchase piqued my interest. To my surprise, the wine was exceptionally delicious, offering a delightful experience that has me reconsidering my stance on wine. It earns a solid 10/10 recommendation from me. Not to mention, the skull bottle has made for a fantastic terrarium, which is thriving. Purple Toad Winery has not only introduced me to a delightful wine but also added a unique touch to my home decor.

This is the very best wine I've ever tasted. I like sweet wine and I love every single one of the flavors I've bought. My daughter loves the Cotton Candy, a 4 on the sweetness scale and I love all the rest. 😆

If i could score a zero stars I definitely would. I ordered 4 different bottles and their variety pack. My order came today. I got 5 bottle of the same black and bruised and one black currant. Called and spoke to the manager and she offered to send me what I ordered but I would have to ship the other back. Or I could pay for the bottles I received and she would still send me my order. It wasnt my mistake so why should I be inconvenienced and why should I pay for your staff's mistake. Never ordering again!

I don't get to go to this winery often due to living about 7 hours away. But when I do stop, I make sure to load up! I absolutely LOVE all the wine options, and the atmosphere is very inviting. The staff is always friendly and we are greeted with a smile. I have let many girls from my work try my wine and they end up ordering online and having it shipped to them. 🖤

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the winery. I had bought a bottle of their wine at a wine store on a road trip a few years before and when we decided to take another road trip we decided to visit the winery. Their selections of wine is amazing and there is something for everyone no matter what you preference is. I like quite a few of their wines and my absolute favorite is the Blackberry Lemon! It is the perfect blend of sweet and tart, it isn't overly sweet but just sweet enough. I love it! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

This winery is so good. We had always got lots of bottles when we made the trip to Kentucky from Ohio. We finally decided to try the shipping and it has been awesome! Now we can get it shipped to us in Ohio when we are running low. I haven’t tried all the wines that they have, but most of them. My favorite and the one I have gotten my friends here in Ohio hooked on is the Strawberry Jalapeño. I now have to get them hooked up with ordering their own so they will leave mine alone :)

Tried 8 wines, loved the new Moscato D'Asti and Angela's Black Cherry. Also enjoyed the Black Currant, Paducah Peach, and Midnight Blue. Interesting flavors were the Strawberry Jalapeno, and Blue Chocolate which tasted to me like it had a Peanut Butter after finish.

We received a bottle of the Black and Bruised as a gift. Not really wine drinkers. We opened it one night and immediately said we need more of this!! Very sweet wine and absolutely delicious. We found the website very easy to use and enjoyed the moderate prices and that there are specials, so we placed quite the hefty order (again, hefty for non wine drinkers). It was shipped quickly and great secure packaging! Looking forward to trying the other varieties!!

Awesome little off the beaten path winery. Got to spend the afternoon with my wife, we enjoyed the wine sampling, which legitimately has something for everyone. The frozen strawberry lemonade wine smoothie was my absolute favorite. Also, must try to he habanero wine. My only complaint would be the hours, considering that we visited on a Friday afternoon and they were closed within about an hour of us arriving. Would be an awesome way to spend a whole Friday evening. Overall. Loved the experience.
The Paducah Wall to Wall is a notable historical landmark that showcases the town's rich heritage during the Atomic Age era. The murals are exquisitely crafted and depict various aspects of Paducah's history. Visitors can enjoy an evening stroll while viewing the colorful mural paintings, including a full-sized stream engine. The area surrounding it is well-maintained with benches that provide views of the river, where a riverboat can also be found docked at times.
We enjoyed walking along the wall, seeing the numerous beautifully painted murals and learning the history of the town from the placards. Also, the river valley is gorgeous too.

Beautifully created murals depicting the history and heritage of Paducah KY. My wife and I stopped and viewed several of the murals and enjoyed views of the river. A full size stream engine is here as well. There were areas to sit and benches in the river side, many folks enjoying the serving relaxing. Lovely place, well kept and clean. A river boat was docked when we were there!

I think there are 40 + murals approximately twelve feet high by 20 ft long. Absolutely amazing the amount of time and effort that went into creating all these different historic scenarios! Right on the river and the murals are actually on front flood protection concrete walls.

This location has numerous historical markers on the riverside and Floodwall Murals on the opposite side of the floodwalls. It features a shaded, riverfront park where one can watch large river cruise vessels sail past or load off/on passengers.
Wow, some pretty large river cruise vessels do a port of call here. This is a great, shaded, riverfront park where you can watch the ships sail past or load off/on cruise passengers. The Whitehaven Welcome Center is a 24/7 rest stop located in a classic 1860s Southern mansion that also functions as a tourist information center. The center boasts period decor, and parking options are plentiful. Masks are currently mandatory at the facility, which is exceptionally clean. Visitors can stroll through the historic location and admire the intriguing exhibits inside, although gates may be closed at certain times of day.
My brother told me about this place and listed as a must visit. It actually was at a place where we were needing to stop anyway. The off ramp was convenient and we were able to stop with plenty of parking options. Masks were still required at this time. The facilities were really clean. Normally you can walk around this historic location and see the setup they have inside. However we arrived after the inner gates had been closed so we had to look thru the gates and windows the see the very interesting setup. Very relaxing place to stop. Felt more like a historic park than a rest area. Take a break here if you have a chance!

Beautiful to look at and a lot of parking but the signage was difficult to understand. One saying restrooms inside, so I struggled up the brightly lit steps with no railings to the brightly lit main door with no hours posted anywhere but doors were locked. I made it back down and 3/4 around the building going clockwise before I found a door unlocked and the restrooms. With so many possible locations you need more accurate signage, especially after dark and since the main entrance is definitely NOT handicapped accessible but existing signs indicate that is where you are to go.

A must-see. Definitely bring your children. A few exhibits were out of order. Friendly staff. Our children really enjoyed it. Especially the boat simulator.
I sure enjoyed the music and the art booths. Everyone I met was off the charts interesting and creative. What a beautiful atmosphere it was. Oh, and having a vegan choice (Branched Out) as a food vender was a pleasant surprise.

The William Clark Market House Museum is a local history museum in Paducah that showcases artifacts and recreates a 19th-century drugstore. The museum features an informative and friendly staff member who is knowledgeable about the area's history. A highlight of the museum is an antique organ that can be played for visitors. Although there are some items on the second floor that may be difficult to access for those with disabilities, the first floor offers plenty to see and learn about.
Great small museum packed with displays and history! At a relaxed pace, we are able to see everything in just about an hour.

We paid $4 each for admission to the museum. It was rich with stories and items important to Paducah's history. Even though I didn't go there looking for a history lesson, I got a very fun and educational experience. The lady running the place was a friendly, outgoing wealth of information who even played the antique organ for us!
There are some items on the second floor and the steps could be difficult if you have a disability, but there is so much on the first floor, you wouldn't be too disappointed.

Absolute must see in Paducah! The small museum houses some amazing artifacts of American history. The woman working at the museum could and will tell you the history of everything there. So glad we wandered in.

It was 2:30 on Saturday afternoon and the museum is supposed to be open until 4. Sign on the door said they would be closed on November 11th and reopening on the 12th (Saturday). Closed as closed could be.

Wow!! Staff was great and very knowledgeable of the area and history of Paducah. Building is amazing. Brick streets surrounding it with amazing small shops. A walk downtown is well worth a visit.

Interesting museum full of local history including the Civil War of which Kentucky was divided. Lots of photos and stories of local residents that won't dissappoint. The pharmaceutical portion held shelves upon shelves of strange meds and prescriptions for using them including whiskey and opium Rx's. It does not take long to wander through the downstairs and small upstairs area. The staff member was very friendly and outgoing.
Paducah Antique Mall is a store filled to the walls with wonder, mysteries and histories. Everywhere you look there is something fasinating to see. I don't beleive you could catch every treasure your first time though. The lady running the place was very kind and helpful. I beleive there has to be something here that will call to you, that is waiting for you. I found some old dinosaurs and had a run in with plenty of nostalgic items. Left the shop feeling like I had just walked though magic.

Nestled in the heart of Paducah lies a treasure trove for antiquing enthusiasts, the Paducah Antique Mall. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by a tapestry of history with a vast collection of items that spans many eras. The mall offers an eclectic variety, and for those with a keen eye, it can truly be an adventure of discovery.
One of the most exciting moments of my visit was unearthing a long-sought-after gem, a testament to the depth and richness of the collection at this establishment. This moment of discovery is what antique hunting is all about, and Paducah Antique Mall certainly delivered in providing that joyous experience.
However, a word to the wise for fellow antique aficionados: patience is the key here. While the mall houses a plethora of genuine antiques, there are also many items that lean more toward the thrift side of things. This mix can make it a bit challenging to sift through and identify the true antiques amongst the abundance of items. A clearer demarcation or organization between antiques and thrift items might enhance the shopping experience for purists.
That said, for those willing to explore and dig a bit, the rewards can be immensely satisfying. And honestly, isn't that what treasure hunting is all about?
In conclusion, the Paducah Antique Mall offers a unique blend of history and charm. With a vast collection and the possibility of discovering that elusive antique piece, it's a place that should definitely be on the list for those visiting Paducah. Just remember to bring along your spirit of adventure and a good dose of patience!

This more a mid century junk shop than a true antique mall. Very few items here are older than the 1950's and i don't recall seeing any actual antique furniture for sale. It was a good place for a hour long rummage through the last 60 years. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This store has a wide variety of antiques priced at fair prices. We have been to this store on several occasions and always managed to find something each time. The town is vital and fun to walk around and check out the stores.

This was a nice antique shop. It had a nice variety of items. Some things I have not seen in decades. I even bought my granddaughters a barbie light, where a full size Barbie is on stage and dances ballet. Do not forget that is the back there is a second floor.

People were pleasant. There was plenty to look at with a wide variety.

Great variety of antiques and collectibles in two tiers. Some well displayed glass, movie and comic collectibles, dolls, vintage kitchen and hardware items and several pieces of nice furniture. Vendors (Dennis on the day I was there) are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. On street parking is a bit of a challenge but not a deterrent to visiting this store. 10 minutes from the interstate. Highly recommended.
This place is amazing! Sampled almost all of what they offer and everything beats out the rest! Check them out for live music and amazing handcrafted moonshine

This place is absolutely amazing! The gentleman who have me the tour, Cyrus, was friendly, knowledge and enthusiastic about what they do. The history behind the recipes and building was so interesting. If you want to support local people doing what they do best, tgis is it. THIS is Americana, THIS is the South, THIS is Heaven.

I was visiting from Albuquerque and was quite impressed with this place. The jar of moonshine I bought had leaked a little on the way to my friends' house, but when I went back they had already closed. I went back the next day and they very graciously exchanged it for another jar, AND gave me a free shot "mug" for my trouble. That's good business right there! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Paducah!

A nice variety of moonshine including flavored ones. Super friendly staff and you can sample to your hearts content. Definitely recommend the Burningbird and at least sampling the 102 proof.
We hosted a meeting for over 225 people and the place was great. The people that work at the convention center are professional and they did a great job with all aspects of our meeting.

Every year we end up here for Volleyball. Every year it’s just a bit uncomfortable money wise though. Last year, 20 dollars per person to get in. Making it the most expensive venue by far in the three states that we go to. Most charge 5 dollars. All food was at least triple priced and there was no charity or children’s group it was going to, simply expensive. Now, this is a nice complex and ample everything so, I would consider a bit more but, 40 bucks just to get in and another 40 for a burger….(not talking steak burgers) , fries and drink for two. Not much for a 100 to 130 dollar day because you quickly need water, a snack because, you couldn’t bring ANYTHING in, they made you throw it away at the outside door.
This year, 12 bucks to get in. Awesome and still a few dollars more but, Now have to use an app to pay ONLY again. I had to stop, put my credit card information in the app, which took a minute, as well as the other 500 plus people first thing in the morning trying to get to their kids game in time. I look at my transaction fee this morning and it was 27 dollars for two. They didn’t tell us it was a 3 dollar transaction fee. Not 40 this time but, not what was advertised. We don’t buy food there this year, we brought our own or at those prices could have grub hubbed a 5 course meal.
Overall, great idea for tracking because not only was it only cash last year, it smelled like Marijuana everywhere there. Didn’t get that “got what I paid for” experience and told the kids don’t say anything about the smell. I think it was…better this year, just inconvenient and had hidden fees.

The Paducah Railroad Museum is a local establishment that showcases the history of rail travel and provides an interactive simulator. Although it costs $6 for adults to enter, visitors can enjoy a wide array of old-fashioned railroad gear and view an operational O scale model railroad. The establishment also boasts a gift shop for souvenirs. It is important to note that the museum requires advanced notice for visits, as they are currently undergoing renovations until March.
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit! They have a very nice collection of railroad items connected with the area.

Paducah played an important part of the US railroad system. Genuine relics from an era that was part of the building blocks of our country's transportation system. With a simulator that lets you be the engineer. Awesome! $5 admission. If you're a history lover check it out.

Nice little Railroad Museum. It does have a switching bank from a rail yard, that was new to me.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

This was a very informative place it cost 6 dollars for adults and the 3 ladies working there are so kind. The only downside is that simulator the volunteer coordinator is not informative and honks the train horn a little much. Since it is a video thing from a computer program. So all in all I think it's fun.
Sherry “Willow” Elsey — Google review
Sign on the door says its only open if you call in advance and make an appointment. otherwise its closed for renovations until march.

A sad excuse for a museum. Not much to see since all they have to offer is an eclectic mix of railroad artifacts and photographs without much coherence or explanation. They do have a working locomotive simulator and a working Centralized Traffic Control machine, but there are no real railroaders available to explain or demonstrate these exhibits, so they mostly sit there dark and untouched. The Illinois Central Mikado locomotive on the waterfront a block away does NOT belong to this museum, nor do they maintain it, despite their adoption of it as their "mascot." There is an O-scale train layout under construction, but it is just a small oval of track designed to amuse children and naive visitors. The only good feature of the place is their Gift Shop which sells the cheapest Paducah souvenirs in town!
Kentucky Oaks Mall is a well-established shopping complex that houses various national retailers, dining establishments, a gym and a movie theater. Compared to other malls of similar size or larger, this mall stands out for its ample spacing between stores. Additionally, visitors can explore the unique features of the mall such as their food court and charming train ride attraction.
This mom was a lot different than some of the other Mouse I've seen a lot bigger malls and some that are the exact same size that actually had more things in it. But this one actually gave a little bit more space in between each of their stores their food court now that right there is the one thing that I will have to go back and check out other than a couple of the other stores that they had their. This is a cute train I have never seen one in a mall before.

I enjoyed the experience because I haven’t been to a mall in a long time. I got to go to several stores that I haven’t been to in a minute, and the overall experience was great since I was there in Black Friday. The place was clean and the crowd was fine…not a bunch of rowdy people running around ruining shopping for everyone else.

Coming from somebody that lives in a small town, this mall is HUGE! I could have spent a whole day in there if I had the time & money lol. It’s a lot of culture & a good environment! We went to Spencer’s & a few other stores. Spencer’s was a blast but they’re so overpriced now it’s ridiculous. Definitely had fun & will be back soon tho!

I love Kentucky Oaks Mall!!! It is the cleanest Mall I have seen in a long time! It also has happy families walking all over the place, having a great time! Enjoyed it! Where we come from, people hardly ever go to the mall because of the crime, they are too afraid to go. This mall also has so many great stores I love it! I went shopping again and I bought sheets, curtains and decorative pillows.

Cleanliness ✔ Smiling employees ✔ Variety of stores ✔ Restrooms clean and efficient ✔ Helpful employees ✔ Not all stores filled. Some vacant. People in Spencer's weren't super helpful but Bath and Body Works made up for the others unprofessional behavior. I'll be back when I go through that way again.

It's a nice mall, wish there was a Sbarro pizza place in the food court. They do have many name brand stores there as a bigger mall has. It's fun to do while you're trying to figure out what else to do or to kill time and just get away and window shop. Definitely going to be back around. This review is very long and thanks for reading it. It probably doesn't make sense but it is what it is.

It would have been nice to have had a sales associate to assist me with finding a formal dress for my son's wedding however I experienced a lack of support from anyone except the sweetest lady ever, she was probably 80, beautiful silver hair and she was what a great sales person should be! To bad she worked in men's wear which is actually caty corner and in 2 separate areas of the mall plus she was running another department. You should train others to have the same skills as this QUEEN! They sure don't make them like they used to.

Visited April 3. New menu. Prices seem reasonable. Ordered the French dip, wife had the brisket. Both were well cooked but bland. Even the Au Jus had no flavor. Buns seemed stale; broke with the meat. Fries were delicious. New owner, lots of changes. Please make the flavors more pronounced! Should be the reason to eat here!

This place is a far cry from what it was in the 90s and badly needs some better management and leadership. To start, I have been coming to this mall since the early 90s and things are night and day since then. First off, the place has become a hangout for teens in the afternoon/evenings, which is not a bad thing in and of itself, but they are not properly supervised. If I were managing the mall, I would restrict anyone in the mall under 18 unless they are actively with a parent/guardian. My kids were bullied by a group of older kids, a couple of whom they knew, and those kids had just been kicked out by security the week before. Somehow, they were just allowed to return. They were defacing mall property when I saw them, and I confronted them after they bullied my boys. I did report it to management the next morning. Second, I do some food delivery on the side occasionally, and a friend of mine convinced management to put takeout parking so we do not have to walk a half mile to pick up food. They did this for a time, but then removed them. My buddy said the property manager told him it was because people ran over the parking signs!!! I could not believe such a RIDICULOUS excuse!!! That does not get the handicap signs removed! Furthermore, the selection of stores has really declined over the years, but it does not seem this way at comparable malls around the area. Definitely could use some fresh faces with good leadership and new ideas in that office! And bring back the TO-GO PARKING!!

We travelled down to Paducah from the Chicago area and had a fantastic time. The Market House Theatre was a fantastic venue with great performance by the many talented kids from the area. Both my kids were at the edge of their seats for the show and we all loved the show. My only complaint is that it’s so far away for my family.
