The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk is a 1.3 mile loop on a 32-acre urban waterfront in downtown Pueblo. Completed in October 2000, it features family-oriented activities and events, such as boat rides and concerts. The walkway has many historic buildings along the river, which was returned to its original location after being diverted in 1921 due to a devastating flood that destroyed Pueblo.

Very nice area to walk in. It’s clean and well maintained. Several places to east along the way. Nice public art to view. Distances noted along walkway to support walkers. Beautifully done. In late morning there were a good number of people out, but was not at all crowded.

The historic riverwalk was really nice just to walk about at 8:00am in the morning, as was the adjacent downtown area. So many sights to see along the way. There were so many trees and lanterns that made it feel cozy and inviting. It is a shame that the water was not filled, though I am sure some of it might out of fear that the pipes would freeze in wintry weather.

When family or friends come see us we take them down by Arkansas river and Pueblo loves it. Most taking the grandkids down their around 5-6pm they can see the wild animals

We loved this walk along the river. There are so many statues, sculptures, informative signs, and pretty artwork along the trail. You can take a boat tour along the river or rent a peddle boat and cruise around the little pond there. There's so much along the way, it was so fun. It was crowded when we went, but nothing too bad and it was the Fourth of July weekend also.

We were here in the morning and there were only a few other people walking around. It was February so the water was drained and there were no boats going. We still had a really good time. The kids loved all the different statues.

Always a great time going down to the river walk! Me and my dog we love the the walk on a clean sidewalk, we love watching the ducks. Once in a blue moon you'll even see a beaver in there!

Great and quiet place without crowds. We enjoyed ourselves here. No wait anywhere during the peak season is a big plus. Beautiful design along the river walk. Very relaxing and lots of picture points. One point deducted is because we had a hard time finding an open public restroom anywhere around the riverwalk. The bathroom doors were all locked for some reason while we were there. We ended up purchasing some drinks in order to use the bathroom in a restaurant nearby. So a heads up for others.

Two Aussies doing a roadtrip through usa. Wife and I found this place very lovely. Visited today (Wednesday 3rd August 2023), no crowds, pleasant wall and great sculptures to be looked at during the walk. Walk itself is about 1mile but all flat. If you like l, you can take a boat ride around the canal

Fun little downtown area to walk around at. Several sculptures of animals and people are scattered around the river. Not a long walk by any means but it is cute. Lots of restaurants along the route as well. It will most likely take you less than an hour to walk if you don’t stop often.

The water is gone in the winter - so no boat tours or paddle boats (and sometimes there's a bulldozer scooping up icy mud from the bottom) but it's still a nice walk, not too big to do all in one go and lots of art to see and a few restaurants. Reminds me more of Oklahoma City's than San Antonino's. Extra charming at night!

The wife is from Pueblo and I am not a fan of visiting...it's a pretty run-down city and has crime issues. However, with things like the Riverwalk maybe things are turning around. The place is an absolutely stunning place to take a walk. Very well kept and maintained and if you were brought blindfolded you would NEVER know you were in Pueblo. Worth the trip to the city for this alone! Sadly most of my photos are on my camera but here are a couple I took on my phone.
Rosemount Museum is a Victorian mansion that was constructed in 1893 and boasts 37 rooms furnished in period style. The museum offers guided tours led by knowledgeable docents, volunteers, and staff who provide insightful information about the lifestyle of its former owners. It's an impressive testament to the love and charm of Pueblo, with a 2000-gallon water tank installed in the attic and an Otis elevator - perfect for home builders looking for inspiration.
If possible, I would give this place 6 or more stars. Super friendly staff did a great job giving us a perfect tour of this incredibly beautiful building. The overall experience was much more than we expected, and we are thrilled we decided to go. Not only is the home incredible, but seeing an Egyptian mummy on the 3rd floor was quite an unexpected bonus at end of the tour.

I just finished my private tour with tourguide Shirley who was an absolute treat and full of so much knowledge of the home. I was absolutely taken aback by the beauty of this place. Ive toured several other victorian mansions but this one takes the cake. Every room is in pristine condition and the beauty of each room is breathtaking. I wont give details because every person deserves to visit and see it for themselves. I will say the dining room was the glimmering diamond of the house and my personal favorite. I will be returning very soon with others!

Extremely well preserved mansion. Didn't expect to see this level of 19th century comfort in Pueblo CO. Our guide " Seamus" brought us back to the 1890s to relive the Thatcher's life. Great docent!!

An absolute historical treasure located in the heart of Pueblo. This mansion with its 25,000+ sq.ft. of beauty is as good as it gets as historical mansions go. Also, a very informative tour with people who really care about this mansion and its history.

I haven't been here since I did field trip in middle school in the '80s lol. I forgot how amazing this little museum is in the amount of history it has for our cool little town of Pueblo. Really enjoyed my tour. Highly recommend doing this, especially if you've never done it or it's been a while.

Absolutely fabulous museum in quiet park of the city. Our docent was exceptionally thorough and explained things in detail to paint a picture of life for the Thatcher family. The artwork and surprises throughout the house were amazing and the full tour of the home is impressive. One of the best museums like it in Colorado, well maintained and kept to honor the home and the details the family housed in it.

The Docents, volunteers, tour hosts and staff were beyond incredible. They enjoy being in that home and sharing the life style of the owners that cherished it for over a century. This is truly a statement to the love and charm of Pueblo. I can't help to think that the last living heir left this home to the people he loved dearly. As a real estate broker I still can't get over the 2000 gallon water tank installed in the Attic! No apparently as far as I could see... And ask them about the Otis elevator -this is the home builder of your dreams.

This is an absolutely beautiful mansion and very unique. Originally built as a home in 1893 by the John A. and Margaret Thatcher family, this house has 37 bedrooms, and the estate covers an entire block. The Thatcher family resided in the mansion for 75 years. Almost all the original custom woodwork, paintings, and furnishings are original to the way the Thatcher family enjoyed it. I will post photos of the interior when they become available. ☀️🥀

Amazing mansion... Unbelievable for an 1893 home. The intricate details and design of the building and furnishings. You have to see it in person to appreciate the history. The decents (guides) share the history and love this iconic mansion. There are things I've never seen that were unique and ahead of the times. One of the best values for the price of admission anywhere.

Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum houses more than 24 old planes and other exhibits, along with a souvenir shop. Despite being located in a small town, the museum boasts excellent displays featuring historical artifacts like donated uniforms and valuable, large aircraft. The staff members are knowledgeable and have interesting personal stories to share about the exhibits. Visitors can ask for details on anything they see at the museum. It is worth visiting on Saturdays when it offers a great experience for people of all ages.
Especially for such a small town, this museum is absolutely excellent. Tiny price of entry and extremely rich history on display.
They have all kinds of incredible displays, from uniforms donated by remarkable individuals themselves to massive aircraft with great historical and technical value.
The staff themselves are excellent people as well, all with their own great personal stories too. Ask for details about anything and you will not be disappointed!

Very cool- Lots of planes and vehicles, as well as a well put together layout. They have active relations with many companies so seem to get new items/displays dropped off periodically (NASA included)! A bit of walking if you want to see everything, but we'll worth it. Interactive displays and allow you up close and even in multiple planes/aircraft! Well thought out, large selection, and great staff (some of which were lived the history on display).

Fantastic first trip to the Pueblo air and space museum! Two full hangers of vintage war birds and NASA equipment. Lots of signage and descriptions of various artifacts. The cost is ridiculous low for the level of museum it is. The best part is the friendly and informed staff. Well versed in each item on display and many are veterans with experience in some displays.
The pair of WW2 vets were a bonus and had amazing memories to share.

Lake Pueblo State Park is a wilderness area renowned for its fishing opportunities, boasting 60 miles of shoreline and two marinas. Visitors can also enjoy a swimming beach and clean shower house and bathrooms. The park offers spacious campsites with ample distance between each other and is dog-friendly. While water pressure may be low at the main fresh water fill up in Yucca Flats, the stunning scenery more than makes up for it.
Very clean shower house and bathrooms. The sites are not stacked on top of each other. We had an electric only site. The water pressure not so great
at the main fresh water fill up in the Yucca Flats. But that's OK. I'm not complaining this place was beautiful. Dog friendly.

I liked it. The amenities are great, there was powered where we were which came in handy for the blow up mattresses! There is very little natural shade however, which only pushes you into the refreshing water.
Speaking of though, the natural shale layers of earth chip off in an arrowhead like shard and become very sharp and you should be very careful with dogs and bare feet!

Area is great for swimming, the dirt roads to the south swim beach are a little rough so make sure you have a good vehicle. There is also other areas around the lake that are great for Paddle boarding and Kayaking too! Make sure to check out Reservoir Brewery after they have great beer and food!

Great wide open area campgrounds. Good lake access. The water was very high this year but still a great time near the shore. We used some trails to walk down to the water. Dump station and water available. The showers were nice and clean also. Stars at night were incredible for viewing. Very hot in August typically in Pueblo fyi.

Beautiful place to stay! The camping spots have a lot of space between them. There are covered picnic tables and fire pit with the grill. The sound of nature is so peaceful. It’s so quiet and serene, we will definitely come here again. The photo of the sunset does not give it justice what we experience last night. The views are amazing.

I’m so blessed to live near this incredible state park. It’s a photographer’s dream with its many moods, unique terrain and vegetation. The backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and high cliffs surrounding parts of this huge lake make it seem surreal. Miles of shore and just as many paved and unpaved trails to explore, two marinas, campgrounds, great fishing and so much more.

Lake Pueblo State Park is a very interesting and entertaining spot to have a exciting fun filled day or whole weekend. I feel like it is often overlooked as an amazing Colorado go-to vacation destination that everyone should spend a full weekend at. The Pueblo lake itself is absolutely gigantic. There is also the Arkansas River and many many other little off shoots and ponds that surround the area. The dam is a really neat and beautiful structure that is awesome for a photography background. The lake, the river and the surrounding bodies of water are excellent spots for fishing. The boating access is excellent. The campgrounds are great for a nice family weekend trip.

Quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. There is a $10 entrance fee to enter the park. Mix this with the fact that Pueblo is a very small town and you get a park that isn’t very crowded. The wildflowers were in full bloom during our hike and the succulent blooms were my favorite. I will be coming back to do some astrophotography down here as well as go swimming in the lake. It’s only a short 50 minute drive south from the Springs.

We visited this campground early in the summer of 2023 and had a great time. The site was a paved back-in and very leveled, so no leveling system needed (site #477). The campground was clean and very spacious. I was thrilled to see the amount of space between each campsite to allow some privacy. The campground had few trees with unobstructed views of the mountains, and sunset viewing was breathtakingly beautiful. The picnic table & fire pit were perfectly located off to the side & not too close to our trailer. The view of the lake wasn't great, but that didn't bother me. I could hear the boats & water jets throughout the day, but it wasn't disruptive. I didn't notice a playground for the kiddos, so I can't confirm if they have one. The restrooms were clean & didn't smell, and the grounds and dump stations were mowed & tidy. We will be back in the future, so 5 stars for me

The Pueblo Zoo is a year-round historic park that features over 400 animals and interactive exhibits. Visitors can enjoy the hands-on experience of feeding some of the animals in the designated area. The gift shop and admission office are run by friendly staff members who provide excellent customer service, making visitors feel like long-time friends of the zoo. Becoming a zoo member is highly recommended for those who love visiting frequently as it makes trips affordable.
I’ve been coming here for about 24 years, never had a bad experience. But I wanted to shout out the people upfront in the gift shop and admission office. Diana and her associate (I didn’t catch her name. She had a long ponytail ) but they were both so extremely nice and they really made our visit; the best it’s ever been. They handled us with extreme respect and customer service. And treated us like a long time friend of the zoo. And again, I will be back next time. To my home zoo.

The Pueblo zoo in Colorado was clean and had pleasant staff. The animals appear to be adequately cared for. This is a small zoo and I suspect most families will easily complete the zoo and inevitable gift shop in under 3 hours. No giraffes or elephants as it is a small zoo. The red pandas seem to be the main attraction though the viewing habitat leave something to be desired for a main attraction. Overall, a pleasant zoo with a nice amount of shade and a few water fountains. Drinks and treats within the zoo or reasonably priced and less than several other zoos we have visited. However, the gift shop is where prices seemed overly exaggerated. This is usually the case, but it seemed to be a bit higher than normal at the Pueblo zoo. Families on a budget would likely want to steer clear of the gift shop.

These stars are not in the lack of anything other than the disappointment of the empty enclosures. The bear pits were empty except two bald eagles were in one. There were more open empty spaces or if they had something in them there was tarps up so we couldn't see. HOWEVER even though it was a small zoo, the animals were active even on a 38° day. The best part was the lions! They were very active and roaring so loud you could hear them across the park. This was a very cute and clean park and inside the town park.
With that being said please go visit and donate money to this zoo. It is worth keeping around.

This is a pretty cute small zoo. No, you won't find elephants and Polar bears but you will find smaller animals like Meerkat, Gibbons and the like. Well kept grounds, drinks available. Nice pathways for walking or pushing a stroller. One thing that's really nice, it's not crowded! Animals appear well fed and taken cared of.

Quiet, beautiful, little zoo. Loved that there weren't throngs of people crowding up the place!! Very easily accessed all animals. Staff was very informative!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this zoo - it's a bit bigger than I thought and the sight of the big cats left me impressed. There's also a whole, huge pirate ship inside one of the buildings! I also loved the three habitats for the red pandas, they were all very active. But the habitats themselves are a bit dated. I love that it's a historical park and zoo, and some of the buildings were built by the WPA, but sometimes they just seem a bit too small for some of the animals. All in all, it was very nice to walk around on a sunny day.
Just next to it but outside the zoo is a very nice playground, fields, and a small amusement area. The rides were closed during my January visit, but there are some cute ones in there, including a carousel and little roller coaster.

Even though it is a smaller zoo, its definitely a good atmosphere! Affordable food and entrance, the animals enclosures were all clean and easily viewable! Some enclosures were empty or being renovated but bear with them!! For being a smaller zoo, my family had a great time there, and not being as busy it didn't feel like the more trafficed zoos where you almost get pushed out of the way of some animals! Great for a day trip, and surrounded by the city park as well, the atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming!

Super sweet staff who were very knowledgeable and in their eco zone took the time to show me where the animals like to perch, how old they were, and what their diets consist of. Great way to spend 3-4 hrs. They have plenty of benches to sit and rest on if your legs get tired. The penguins were cute, but I wouldn't recommend going too early. Many of the animals were sleeping, like the painted dogs, and couldn't see them too well. The kangaroos were also hiding out. But overall great experience and really enjoyed the history found throughout the zoo.

This zoo was terrible. They had one lion. They had a few good animals but this zoo is been small and we finished it in 40 min. My fab part was the red panda. I wasted my money, so small and half of the animals were gone. There was no bear or cat or anything.

Being a retired Marine, I can say that this was well done. Although they're not finished (Missing many Vietnam and over 1/2 Iraq Medal recipients) this is very sobering to say the least. The staff here is some of the most unprofessional people I have ever had the experience of dealing with in my life. The two women in the office are extremely rude and have terrible customer service skills. I couldn't believe the way they spoke to my husband and I, who had needed to obtain the blueprints for our property for an emergency water line break that had caused over 80 families to lose their homes. We were told we would have to wait a week since they were planning a fundraiser and to come back the following Wednesday. When we returned the following Wednesday there was a sign on the door stating that they would be open, however nobody showed up all day. On the following Thursday we were told that they could not help us and proceeded to call my personal phone multiple times on different phone numbers where I had to block Christina's number so that she would stop calling me. Absolutely unacceptable.

Heroes Plaza - National Medal of Honor Memorial is a historical landmark that features statues and inscriptions dedicated to recipients of the prestigious Medal of Honor, including four from Pueblo. The city boasts the highest number of recipients in the country, prompting Dwight Eisenhower to once marvel at what may be in their water. The memorial is a tribute to American heroes who have served their country with distinction and valor.
Best city in America most medal of Honors

A must see Memorial. Pueblo has had the most Medal of Honor recipients of any city in the US. Dwight Eisenhower once remarked: "What is it with you guys from Pueblo? Is there something in the water?"

The Pueblo Heritage Museum is a comprehensive museum showcasing the history of southeast Colorado and Pueblo. This museum covers everything from prehistoric times to the Great Depression, with exhibits focused on industries such as tools, saddles and trains. Although some visitors may find the museum slightly disorganized, it offers an wealth of information about the area's diverse and determined inhabitants who have faced challenging times throughout its history. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The locally sourced Heritage Gift Shop is a gem, offering unique treasures that beautifully capture the essence of the pueblo culture. I couldn't resist picking up a pair of exquisite handmade Chile earrings - they're a perfect blend of tradition and craftsmanship.
The Heritage Art Gallery and Event space is awesome and features art from a new local artist monthly and is also a room available for as low as $50 a month to the public and even less for members.
The "Lucky the Horse" gift shop section is an exciting addition, filled with intriguing items like puzzles and magnets that provide a sneak peek into the upcoming book "Lucky to Be Alive".
And speaking of Lucky, meeting Lucky the horse in person was a highlight of the visit! Seeing him up close and learning about his incredible journey was truly inspiring. Not to mention, the collection of historic saddles showcased in the museum is a captivating reminder of Pueblo's remarkable history as a saddle-making capital.
The Pueblo Heritage Museum is a hidden treasure trove of culture, history, and unique artifacts - more than I can type here. Whether you're looking to explore the local heritage or simply enjoy a day of discovery, this museum is an absolute must-visit. Don't miss out on the chance to experience its rich offerings and support the preservation of the pueblo heritage.

I brought a group of 30 local high school students here to learn about the rich history and culture of their home. The Museum did not disappoint! Emily was our tour guide, and she was very professional and engaging for our students. The museum itself had way more exhibits than I ever imagined, and covered aspects of Pueblo's history that we had never even heard of! After the tour, we participated in the Legacy Trunk activity, which was a captivating and meaningful exploration of Colorado Native American culture. This is a perfect place to bring groups of all ages, and for anybody who has interest in Colorado history.

I loved visiting the Pueblo Heritage Museum. They talked about the Spaniards and the Native American Indians and their history. There was so much information to take in and take pictures of all the displays that they had.
Teresa Howard — Google review
The museum has three interactive areas for kiddos which are great. There's a lot to look at and read from Chuckwagon's to the flood of 1921, to the building of Lake Pueblo. A great overview of the local history. People and events that shaped the community. It was affordable and offered a variety of discounts for teachers, military, kids etc. If you go in thinking Smithsonian then you're the problem. For a small size city it's fantastic.

A bit disorganized, but really enjoyed this. Pueblo, CO has had more than its share of difficult times, but the diversity and determination of its inhabitants is well represented here.

This place is jam packed with history! At first I was thinking the museum could use a bit of editing because it was all over the place but then I found an exhibit that spoke specifically to my interests and I got fired up. This museum is for people who enjoy industry or tools or saddles or trains or... It just keeps going. I learned a lot about Pueblo and Colorado in two hours today and I think it was worth it.

This museum is well worth your time and money. You will learn many, many things about Pueblo's history.
Wow did we have a good time here. There was more than expected to look at and the woman volunteering her time was so kind. There is a lot of office related exhibits. We specifically enjoyed looking at the large filing cabinet filled with salaries (even back to the 20s) and looking at intake records from the late 1880s. So neat!

This was more than we expected. And it is free! There is limited information online about this little gem! There is so much information in this museum about the hospital history and various staff. You could spend hours just reading through the old news paper clippings and other great information. The lady who runs it is so sweet and very knowledgeable. They have so many unique exhibits and artifacts. There are actual pieces that came from the hospital and things that are similar to those used. The museum is in the superintendents house and details so much of the hospital success and the lives of the dedicated workers who made it run.

We got a guided tour of the museum and the mental health hospital over the years. The people who run this place are very kind and knowledgeable of the subject.
Lovely little stop to recharge and enjoy the bend in the river. Nice deck that looks out onto the Arkansas river that has been landscaped with native plants. It's situated right along the Pueblo River Trail so makes a great stopping point for a break.

Great place for a walk, bike ride, family gatherings, bbq's, bird watching, and just enjoying the outdoors. I always walk to the Nature Center from the river trail going west. If you drive to the Nature Center, expect parking fees.

The nature center is a great spot to leave your 2nd vehicle after launching by the dam. From the dam to the nature center is about a 2 hour trek. A bit faster paddling. Hope y'all enjoy it. Stay safe.

We love the nature center and especially the Outdoor Explorations Program for homeschool kids. My daughter has learned so much here, gotten so much exercise, made great friends, and developed great social skills. They are amazing about making sure she is safe and watching out for all dietary and medical needs and concerns we have. We've been through 2 years of this program already, and my daughter wants to do it every day forever.

I love this spot. Easy parking, easy access to the river, plenty of open space for kids to run and play, a nice deck over the water, clean public restrooms, and a surprisingly nice walking trail right in the middle of Pueblo.
I am usually here to fly fish the Arkansas tailwater, but I've been inside the Discovery Center a few times, including with my kids. It isn't fancy or huge, but they run some interesting programs, and I always appreciate nonprofits that help families explore the outdoors close to home.
Definitely worth a visit.

This was my first time here, and they did an excellent presentation for a birthday party I was attending. They were very thorough about the birds that they rehabilitate, what to do in case you come upon an injured bird of prey And we even got a personal tour behind the scenes where they keep the birds. The birds are very well cared for they all have their own cages and we got to witness the birds get cooled off since it's the middle of summer. We had a picnic lunch before the presentation, and the grounds themselves seem to be very well taken care of. This is a family-friendly place.

It's the best closest place to my home. Seen a deer, blueJay, rabbit and squirrels, makes me very happy. Painted there today. Again, I even went in a different season and get beautifully different things.....

Come here once a year for an event put on for my childrens school. They always take good care of the school and everyone in attendance for the schools annual Empty Bowls Event to raise money for pueblos soup kitchenen and other local non profits. They dont raise millions but it instills in the kids the importance to help others less fortunate. This year all the classrooms made a gift basket for the silent auction plus all the ones that were donated by local businesses plus as part of the kids art projects they each create a bowl that either the parents can buy before the event or anyone can at the event. Plus it always the kids to perform in front of family and loved ones at the event and people from the community either as groups, solo or even the marching band with color guard.

Myself and a friend of mine went to the Sangre de Christo Museum today in Pueblo, just off exit 98b to look at the DaVinci exhibit. The Second floor had the copies of the painting, they were outstanding, the colors many of them were still rich and bright in the details even the unfinished painting was awesome. We went to the third floor to look at all of his inventions and codexes. The details and the imagination that he had to have in order to solve problems Through Math, nature, science was amazing. A few of them he had just improved from what the Greeks and Egyptians had already done. Yet his other inventions were just amazing thought of design, math, science and Imagination of an unfettered, intelligent, creative mind. To me if you love art, science, and math it will be a mistake if you miss this exhibit which closes approximately the 29th of this month. I highly recommend it. Also there's a small exhibit to the left of the main desk as you go into the front door of the DaVinci exhibit another few artists are in there and they're very thought-provoking and well worth looking at.

A gem in the heart of the Home of the Heroes! It’s like the heartbeat of our city, alive with the arts in all forms! My family considers this facility and it’s staff a second home and family. The dance school has played a huge role in my children’s development and is the best school in southern Colorado for classical ballet. Thank you Sangre de Cristo!

Huge complex with theaters, galleries, class rooms, a children's museum and outdoor space where they have concerts. A real credit to Pueblo for supporting the arts in such a way!
Annette McGuire — Google review
We visited the art gallery and were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of exhibits and that each floor had a very knowledgeable person to guide and answer questions. I only wish we had delayed our trip a week so we could have caught the DaVinci machines exhibit.
We only did a quick walk through the children’s museum and it seemed more for younger kids like maybe through 3rd grade.
The museum is open to public and no charge. You are free to walk around and enjoy the trains. I wish the trains would have some sort of description (year it was made or used). But the trains were amazing!
Thalia Velasquez — Google review
Open air train museum. There's a fair amount of rolling stock and a couple of locomotives(am old steam loco and a GE U30C) that aren't behind gates. But during open hours and special events, there's a large selection of classic EMD locos and rideable cabooses kept behind gates. Just adjacent is the old passenger depot.

Near sunset we drove through slowly looking at diesel Loco and an old massive steam engine. We'll be back when we have more time and see it all in detail. There seemed to be many railcars etc.

As a railway buff, I always enjoy it when I am able to see the engineering feats of the 'glory' days when the country was continuing to expand. I loved seeing all of the trains out front, and with the Union Depot in the background, it made for a very wonderful scene! It was a shame that I didn't get to see the inside of the cars as I didn't know one could, but I will have to come back the next time when I am in Pueblo!

It was during the week and early in the morning. So everything was closed. Can't give it a bad review since I didn't do any research on it to check hours etc etc. The parts that were open were pretty cool. For instance the inside of the station was open and they had all kinds of historic things. Pretty cool stuff

There are some interesting shops inside the Union Depot. We were hoping you could go into the trains carts at the museum but they seemed locked. Not much info at the museum itself. Still, they have some old cars and taxis that were in use in Pueblo back in the day that are good photo ops.

Great selection of peppers. Everything from Anaheim to Dynomite. They will roast a bushel of peppers for you and "blast" the skins off. Tried my first Pueblo pepper. Heat is between poblano and jalapeños. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Other vegetables available too.

Excellent Country Store. Lots of homemade pies. Several homemade honeys, canned goods (i.e. pickled asparagus and eggs), several different types of beans.
Also, they were roasting chilies that you can purchase... The smell is heavenly.

Stay away! I shopped and purchased but when I looked in my bag my heart sunk. I didn’t ask for the propaganda flyer with tactics on how I should vote. I didn’t ask for the bastardized American flag decal. It was threatening and intimidating. Mauro’s Farm used to be a place in the County that was enjoyable. People like me who grew up in Pueblo would look forward to shop in the summer and fall. This family really Failed! For what? You are making Pueblo worse not better.

Local family farm. Carla is knowledgeable, nice, and funny. Very nice produce. Bakery items are wonderful. Lots of Italian cookies you usually can get only when you have friends with nonas that still bake. They carry frozen fruit filling for making your own pies. Lots of Colorado jellies and honey. They also sell Spanish peaks coffee. A Colorado roaster as well. When pueblo chili comes in. They can ship it anywhere. It is cheaper than shipping it yourself.

This is a fun place to go in Pueblo where you can find ethnic Serbian and Italian and a little bit of Mexican influenced foods. In the summer time it is overflowing with abundant farm fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery is one that cannot be beat. The cookies the cakes the breads the candies are fantastic. Give them a try for when you want to try something authentically delicious.

I am a Colorado native. Born and raised. I have since gone on an adventure to NYC to live that big city life. And while NYC's food culture is the envy of many, they wouldn't know a green chile of it danced roasted in front of them! I was so excited when I learned Mauro Farms would ship me chiles! I ordered a bushel and was so pleased with the service of the farm staff AND the price! Unfortunately, my chiles did not arrive. When I called the farm for an update, they immediately shipped me another bushel no questions asked. I was floored! My chiles arrived today. My neighbors are about to be treated to the smell of roasting green chiles and my friends are about to be treated to vats of Colorado Green Chili! All thanks to Mauro Farms.
