Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History offers extensive displays showcasing the natural and cultural history spanning back four billion years, along with a diverse range of artwork. The museum is particularly appealing to children as they can enjoy exploring dinosaur exhibits, observing various animals and engaging in hands-on activities. Additionally, visitors can benefit from extra educational activities on weekends and special offers for members. The facility features clean restrooms and an elevator for those with mobility needs.
So much fun here!!
Our kids love all the dinosaurs, animals and hands on activities. So much to read and learn here. We've been so many times and still haven't read it all.
Extra activities on the weekends, at least once a month and special offers for members are available, too! They have clean bathrooms & their staff are kind and helpful as well! (There is an elevator for those that need it too, woo!)
We highly recommend Sam Noble Museum!

This was a lot of fun, and the best part was meeting Nance, who, after telling her it was our first time visiting, gave us a tour in the bone section. She had personally been on several digs herself along with years at some of the best museums. She was knowledgeable and funny and made the experience that much more fun.
Besides that, the rest of the museum was awesome and educational, and we had an excellent time. Can't wait to go back with the kids.

We drove down from Tulsa to visit with our 3 1/2 year old because he’s very into dinos right now. The museum itself is very nice and clean. Tons to look at but even more to read. If you’re a reader this is a great museum for you. There is a kids discovery room that was very hands-on and interactive - great for the kids to take a break and play. The gift shop is wonderful too, they even have some $1.50 dinosaurs & bugs which was a nice surprise as usually museum gift shops can be expensive. All in all it was a great museum & I wish I’d had more time to explore and read but my 3 year old was ready to move on pretty quickly so I think we will wait & try to visit again when he’s a little older. If we were local we would visit more often!

Amazing experience here with my children. Every exhibit fascinated my young kids and you could truly see their little brains absorbing all of the information. There is some thing here for every age and level of education and I’m really thankful that we visited. The staff , However, made our experience an absolute five-star experience. The people at the front desk were so welcoming and helpful, but the lady in the gift shop likely left us with such a great impression of the museum. She was so helpful in finding my children the stickers that they wanted, and going to look for shirt sizes for our youngest because he loved the design. I’ve never seen someone go above and beyond to make my family and my children feel like they were so special for just wanting to buy a T-shirt. Thank you for not only pouring into educating the community, spending so much time putting together these exhibits, but also hiring such great people to be the face of this amazing museum.

There was hardly anyone there and it’s a holiday weekend. My kids enjoyed the discovery center. There were family restrooms with baby changing stations which made diaper changes easy. Very spacious and lots of exhibits with interactive stations for toddlers and older children. They offer veteran and active duty discounts for admission. 3 and under were free.

Dinosaurs once walked through Oklahoma’s landscape and we can experience and explore the impact they had on our planet. Explore more about dinosaurs and how they evolved and lived by visiting Sam Noble Oklahoma museum of natural history. Interactive learning!

Really enjoyed visiting the museum with my granddaughter who regaled us with all her 5 year old knowledge of dinosaurs (and she knows everything). There is way too much to see and do in one visit so we are considering getting a membership so she can return as often as she wants. And she will have to take her Pop-Pop with her.

It has lots of different sections there's an art section and a bunch of animal in nature sections there's also a store section where you can buy a bunch of different Little Things a gift shop. There's also a cave on Story 2 that you can go inside of it tells you about stalactites and stalagmites and a whole bunch of other things inside of case hanging from the top of the caves on the first floor there's a giant man with a statue of a man holding a spear that's pretending to be about to kill Mammoth.

A very nice look into the wildlife and First People of the local area. had very clever and informative displays and the 'Dinovator' was very well executed. unfortunately couldn't stay as long as I'd have liked because the entire main hall reeked of gasoline, which permeated into the exhibit areas (though thankfully not the front entrance).

Well worth the admission fee, easily spent almost 3 hours in here looking through every exhibit. We especially appreciate the dinosaurs but the advantage they took in creating these spaces is amazing.

This is one of, if not the best, Natural History Museum I have ever had the pleasure of visiting in my life. Clean, educational, entertaining, and beautiful, just stunning. Never crowded! Has a simple, but fun gift shop as well! Thumbs up all around! Norman/OKC is definitely one of the best places to visit for attractions similar to this.

A great museum to enjoy some dinosaur bones, cool artifacts, and walk around for an hour or two. Wasn't too crowded for a Sunday visit. Paid about $13 for each person, no discounts. Plenty of parking, small walk to the entrance. Saw some fun things in the gift shop. Always love seeing the statues.
Had an interesting limited time exhibit for kiddos there as well!

I recently got hired to draw caricatures at this place... I love the energy there... It was easy to do my job... Because of the great staff and the good feelings I experienced while I was there.... There are so many great spectacles to view. I was also very impressed with how everything looked...This place makes the museum experience very exciting... I was drawing in front marble dinosaur that had to be about 20 feet tall.... That was awesome... I felt like a kid all over again while I was doing my grown up passion....It was an overall great experience for me....

Fantastic to have this nearby. Fascinating information about prehistoric Oklahoma. Give yourself plenty of time to read and learn.
The Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is a red-brick football arena that serves as the home field for the University of Oklahoma's Sooners. On game day, the atmosphere is electric and lively. The stadium has over 85,000 seats available and offers a variety of vendors selling souvenirs, food, drinks, and other items commonly found at college football games. During halftime, mascots can be seen walking around and taking pictures with fans.
GAME DAY ATMOSPHERE!! is the only way to describe this stadium on game day. The fans are active, and energetic all game long. It is a great place to watch the game this is nice stadium with many vendors from souvenirs, food, drinks, and whatever else you could want at college football game. Halftime the mascots walk-around and take pictures with everybody. This was my first in person game in years, and I witnessed the the Caleb William's Era of OU football begin in person that was awesome. This team has a great history, and with Williams a great future.

First ever visit to the Palace on the Prairie. Have to say this place has the most electric atmosphere of any NCAA Div I football stadiums. We had a blast and enjoyed the game. Fans are very passionate but yet friendly towards others.
No issues getting in, security keeps the crowds moving. Recommend getting to the area two hours prior to kickoff to get parking, walk to the stadium and find your seats. Plus that gives you enough time to get food/drinks. The bleachers seats are wide enough, clearly labeled. Only complaint is that the rows are narrow but that's like most college football stadiums.
Concession prices are comparable to any top tier NCAA football team or professional football.
Highly recommend attending a game here. It's a great experience.

BEST Place to see a football game Hands Down. Or actually, HORNS DOWN!!!! Come early and do some tailgating or check out some the many awesome restaurants and bars on Campus Corner. You will have a great time hanging with friends, family and other Sooner fans. BOOMER!

First time at this stadium it was such a great time loads of fun! Very very packed the parking is insane we had to park like 9 blocks from the stadium and walk the whole way. Not complaining but still the parking is completely far fetched lol. Usually lots of walking involved!
OU actually won that game and if you are in the area or thinking of going I definitely recommend just dress accordingly and bring your walking shoes!
Shannon Carter — Google review
We had an incredible experience from before the game all the way until after!
We arrived early for some tailgating. The atmosphere was so much fun as everyone was getting ready to enjoy the game. We walked around the stadium and saw lots of neat statues and areas. Our kids got to take photos with the mascots that were walking around our area. The best part was watching the Pride of Oklahoma marching band playing to get everyone ready.
The sun was hot but the Sooners were hotter! The announcer did a great job of keeping everyone engaged and participating in helping the team win. We enjoyed watching the fireworks and Sooner Schooner celebrate after many of the touchdowns.
The food selection was reasonable and the prices were as expected. We really appreciated the water stations providing free water. We had clear plastic bottles with us to refill. And we did many times to stay hydrated.
It’s important to note that you can only bring clear bags of a certain size and no food or drinks into the stadium.
Leaving the stadium is normally busy with the rush of people walking out unless you have a good path to take. There are options to park further away and take shuttles to and from the game for less effort spent dealing with navigating traffic.
We love the Sooners and hope to go to many more games!

It's always a fantastic atmosphere on Saturdays at the Palace on the Prarie. If you have the opportunity to come to game in Norman do yourself a favor and do it.
Over the years the upgrades to the stands, scoreboard, and concessions have made the experience even better.
Parking sucks but it's to be expected and the concessions are stupidly overpriced but you are coming to a sporting event so you can't complain.

Smooth traffic during football day, easy in and out. Several gates to the stadium. Nice boy Scout guided seat directions. When we leave the stadium, cleaning crew lines up outside the stadium. Definitely Will visit again.

Stopped at OU to see the stadium of one of my favorite college teams as we did a southern US road trip. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to go inside the gates to see the field area, but enjoyed seeing the Heisman statues and statues of Switzerland and Stoops.
If anyone from OU reads this, I would suggest having tours of the stadium like LSU does of its stadium.

Just... FANTASTIC! Being from an area where we only have NHL I didn't really care to go to an OU game, especially for the money it costs. I had an opportunity to go to the stadium off season and it was breathtaking! I tried to imagine the hustle and sounds and energy of the full stadium. Just a great atmosphere and OK is so fortunate to have their gorgeous stadium on the OU campus
Victoria LoRusso — Google review
Great football experience and fun environment. If your backside doesn't like bleachers, bring a bleacher cusion or something small to sit on. I suggest small as you're packed in like sardines (at least in our section) on bleachers. Was fun, just a tight fit!
Quick note for first timers, learn from our mistake as first timers -- look at your football ticket to find the Gate # to enter. The gate # is not a suggestion, it's almost imperative that you use that gate if you don't want it to take 30-minutes to figure out how to get to your seat. We entered at the complete opposite side of the stadium and it was a hilarious debacle trying to figure out how to get to our seats.
The Fred Jones Jr Museum of Art boasts an impressive collection of historical pieces, including East Asian art and impressionist works. The museum has implemented a mask policy and social distancing measures to ensure the safety of its visitors. Admission is free, with a small area for free parking available. The first floor is filled with fascinating exhibits that capture the essence of history, leaving visitors in awe. This exceptional museum offers more than just alumni artists' work, making it stand out from other paid-entry museums.
It’s amazing Museum, even there are Van Gogh’s real paintings! I will go again when the new exhibition come.

The museum has some truly amazing works of art. I was particularly impressed by the first wing on the left after entering through the main entrance. The synesthesia exhibit was neat and I was thankful for the line/crowd control to keep the inside from being so chaotic.
However, as someone who has visited hundreds of museums and who frequents them quite often, I was taken aback by how smothered I felt by one of the security personnel. At certain points following our every step closely to where it made myself and my teenage child feel very uncomfortable. For that reason we will most likely not be back.

I'm surprised that they don't charge any fee to appreciate beautiful arts! There is a piece of Van Gogh's painting. It is worthy to go. But I don't like the modern arts collection ...I feel it is too simple except the liberal statue one, check the picture below.

If you’re in the mood for amazing classical art the likes of which aren’t normally seen in Oklahoma sprinkled in with some casual racial profiling and the razzle dazzle of being followed, this is the place for you. I personally found it to be tiresome, and despite my love of classic art, having a staff member follow my girlfriend and I around the museum didn’t create the perfect, starlit loving night you may expect. It took away from our enjoyment and I don’t know that we’ll be back.

Sharon Mack — Google review
Our visit to the National Weather Center facility was eye opening. You realize that daily weather and severe storms for the US are tracked and forecasted somewhere but this was a great opportunity to better understand who actually does these activities.
The center is a multilevel facility with computers, monitors and smart people everywhere. There were storm trackers being outfitted with sophisticated radar in the garage. They even had actual weather equipment used in the movie “Twister” on display. The facility is on the University of Oklahoma campus so next time you’re there to catch a game, don’t hesitate to absorb technology at it’s finest.

Hello!?! WEATHER FESTIVAL.
Okay, first off let me get this out of the way! My nerd radar is redlining! This place is frikken AWESOME! The grounds are so well kept and the water features are relaxing and maintained. Did you know the storm prediction center is here? There’s a tornado lab? A tornado simulator? A dopler lab? They have their own hashtag #OKWX
What?!? I know! Awesomeness, right?!
Okay, okay, I gotta calm down. Once a year there’s a festival held here with all the local meteorologists and helicopters and it’s literally the only time you can come inside, walk around and get super acquainted with the ever changing, and sometimes deadly, weather in the great state of Oklahoma. Other than that, it’s pretty much on lock down so don’t be upset if the staff won’t let you wonder around. Friend them on FB for information on the next yearly festival usually held in November.

Riverwind Casino is a vibrant hotel that offers various dining options and live entertainment alongside its gambling facilities. While guests may not be guaranteed their preferred room, they were generally satisfied with the amenities provided. The establishment has made efforts to improve guest experience by fixing issues such as broken TVs and weak coffee. Despite lacking in-room microwaves, the casino offers an excellent buffet for meals. Riverwind serves as a convenient stop for travelers on highways and is especially valuable during holidays when other dining options are limited.
Such a nice casino and friendly people here. They're going through some construction but it's well organized and clean. Plenty of fun slot machines to play. I ate at their restaurant Chips & Ales I think that's the name . The Chicken Pot pie was the best I've ever had. My server Chastity was so professional and friendly I thought she was a manager to my surprise she wasn't but most definitely belongs in a position like that in your casino. Keep up the awesome job! Last but not least I had an amazing day here on Monday. Made up for my last visit a month ago where they kept my money.😁

I had so much fun at Riverwind tonight! The first machine I put $20 into I hit for $150. My fiancé decided to try the machine next to me and he hit for around $140. Then after spending another $60 I hit for another $120 and my fiance hit for another $153! All in all we had a lot of fun. They have a huge selection of slots to choose from, and although the tables were pretty full we could have found one or two to play at should we have wanted to do that. I also liked how there was at least 1 place still open to eat at when we were done at around 130am ( Burger King). There are a lot of restrooms all around so you don't have to look far when ya gotta go. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that we had such a hard time trying to find even ONE cashier so we could get our change that we ended up just leaving it behind after a good 10 minutes of walking around and looking. But Other than that we had A-blast. We were also able to park pretty close to the entrance so all in all I would say this casino should be a definite go to if you are in the mood to play. Two thumbs up from me!

Super expensive unless you only want crab.
It was the worst buffet I've ever experienced.
They have a line undeserving long. That's probably why they don't care about ...anything there was weird prome rib that seemed like precooked boil in the bag meat. The pork was dryer than dry looking shreds. No chicken at all and soggy fish and chips. There were very few sides and a lame salad bar. And to finish it a lame desert bar. At least it was above pig slop. For $39.99 it was a waste of money for me And for a casino...shame on your greedy penny pinching managment.

That fact we were able to reserve my favorite room and it was available when we arrived was awesome. However she did inform us she could not promise us the room. New TV and some other things we notice from our last visit were fixed a+ Just wish they would decide putting in the microwave. Chips and Alyse is partly the reason they're not getting five stars and the coffee seems to be weak this go around. I will be back though.

I did the all you can eat buffet on Saturday, which includes snow crab legs. Everything was delicious I got there around 6pm it was about a hour wait, but it was worth it. I mainly ate crab legs, the fried shrimp was good as well as the catfish. I saved a little room for desert, which I chose the bread pudding with carmel and vanilla sauce, but they had alot of options for $45. I will definitely be back 😁. If you get the Riverwind card you save $6

Really did not spend much time in Casino on this cold and wet day. Grounds leading into side entrance was littered with trash. A Landscaping brick unglued. Receptionist at guest counter was helpful issuing a new card & verifying new address from Driver's license. All total played four different slots. The Wicked Wheel was fun & kept me in the game. Ate a steak sandwich from IHOP located in food court. Steak might have been lean beef but appeared to be ground hamburger meat. Riverwind is a nice place to go for entertainment and fun.

We stopped to eat since we were on the highway driving to spend time with the kids. It was on Christmas Day, so it was the only place to really have a meal other than burgers or hotdogs from gas stations m. The buffet was excellent!

We came here on a Saturday evening to grab some crab legs and spend some money. The line to the buffet was incredibly long. We waited 2+ hours in line, and we had to give up near the end, because it was near closing time. The Riverwind Casino Wild Card holder has a benefit of being placed close to the front of the line, so it pushed regular people back a lot. The place was filled with smoke, and I ended up leaving the place with my clothing reeks of cigarettes, and it ended up contaminating my car too. The place needs better air ventilation and filtration to deal with those smell.
One major kudos for this place is that their parking lot was well lit and organized. I felt safe walking and talking with my friend in the parking lot. It was also to find my party, because the parking was well labeled.

Went there with a group of friends last night. They are doing some remodeling but it doesn't appear to be affecting peoples fun. People seemed to be having a great time. They have a large selection of slot games. There are ATM's and bathrooms, a bar area in the center, a smoking area with card tables, roulette (table & electronic), and slots as well as a non-smoking play area. This was only my 3rd time in a Casino but it seemed great to me. There were employees constantly cleaning, waitresses walking by about every 15-20 minutes checking on people, and techs checking machines. The customer service lady was friendly, efficient, and professional all in one which was perfect! I would visit again.

Riverwind Casino offers ample winning opportunities, although the lack of a non-smoking section might be a concern for some. My experience included both victories and losses. The casino itself exudes an aged ambiance, yet hints at ongoing renovation efforts. However, the extent of modernization remains questionable. On-site dining options are available, albeit slightly pricier than typical establishments. Complimentary beverages like water and soda are offered near the entrance upon request.

Small local casino with an equally small hotel attached, in a cornfield next to a highway.
Typical casino, nothing special or horrible about it. You give them money and you leave. Small food court with major fast food chains, and one sit-down restaurant with decent and GENEROUS portions. The buffet is only open for limited days of the week, so I didn't try it.
The hotel side is also your normal hotel. They offer coffee and juice in the lobby, but that is about it besides a vending machine or two. They do not have a pool, or fitness center, but the business center has a PC and printer.
Parking is ample and the service was average. The room was nice with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and TV. The view is either the cornfield or Mcdonald's and marshy area in the distance.
Now cleanliness is another thing. The refrigerator was visibly dirty, and the bottom two shelves were sticky to the point that I just left my items there when I left.
The shower curtain didn't reach the tub, so water soaked the floor every time I used it. The shower drain was "stuck", but with a little effort it, along with a ton of hair came right up!

I did not visit the casino floor or game. I attended Jo Koy stand up. He was funny. However the venue was essentially a ballroom with chairs set up as a theater. It seemed to be old fashion. The good news is that the venue is small enough to have a decent seat even if you end up in section 201 and above. One thing I disliked was the bar closing just before the main show started. That really sucks bcz I was parched the entire show. 😕 Next time I know to sneak water in. Lol.
Lake Thunderbird State Park is a recreational area and campground that boasts two marinas, swim beaches, a nature center, and trails. The park offers stunning views of Lake Thunderbird from Post Oak. Although the grounds are well-maintained and peaceful, some areas require repair. Restrooms could use updating while showers were unappealing. Wildlife sightings are common here, including deer. Some visitors opted to shower in their RVs instead of using the facilities provided.
Beautiful park outside of Oklahoma City with many different trails to explore. I was only in the area for an overnight and I'm so glad I chose this park to see. Stunning red clay soil, forests and lakeviews to enjoy. A wonderful way to spend the day when in the area.

Gorgeous views of Lake Thunderbird from Post oak. The grounds were well maintained, very quiet peaceful park. Campsites are on top of each other. I’m used to other state parks systems were you are given more space between sites. Our neighbors had no choice but to store their equipment in our area. We had an end site so we were lucky. Road in was narrow and stressful to drive an RV down.
Good swim area and nice lake.

It was a really nice hike but the signage is very poor. Luckily we had all trails up so we knew where we needed to go. When we didn't have it up we did get a little lost There were a couple of good lookout spots for the lake. It is really pretty during the fall! We had a really good time. It wasn't super busy when we went, we only passed one person the entire time.

I have been visiting Lake ThunderBird since 1967. It has evolved and has mostly improved. Lots of activities: hiking, birding, all sorts of fishing, water sports. I’ve even kayaked around a sizable portion. Trash has always been a problem but the situation has improved; more people are picking up more trash. Excellent, safe camping and picnic facilities, several boat launch ramps. Best in spring and fall.

The campground is dirty and they have cobwebs all over the place in their common areas.
Their toilets don't work. Their toilets are all backed up and they won't flush. Their showers have leaves and thick dirt/mud on the floors and the walls are all dirty.
I spent a long time in the shower wiping up brown stuff from off the walls with my microban. It's nasty. I couldn't reach the cobwebs in their shower.
They don't take care of their property and they need to do something more. It's obvious that they don't want anyone to stay here or they would keep their property in better shape.
Update: 3 days into this camping trip they finally fixed their toilets which were overloaded with toilet paper and human waste. Too late. Too much trauma for me.

MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME only 12 miles from my Norman, Oklahoma home hunting waterfowl/bow deer bike riding camping trail walk and fishing or just hanging out. AWESOME!! SO IN 2021 GO PLAY OUTSIDE!! All attached photos taken by me in 2021. Last 2 photos show the RED CLAY soil which some people call this lake DIRTY BIRD. Another term about Oklahoma's RED SOIL is "RED DIRT READY". The increase home building has added red soil to Lake Thunderbird State Park. October 14-15, 2022 and in 2023 camped North Sentinel nice NEW showers/bath makes it an AWESOME outing. One of our favorite spots! Cat-fishing is great. You can just about find any species you want to here, we caught everything from saugers to crappie. Close by and easy access. If you have a kayak you can get away from everyone. We will spend many more days here. 😀

One of the best places I've been in. They have low priced tickets and is a cool place to learn about weather. It has a very nice guy and I would recommend it to people who love weather. It might be small, but it sure is a nice place to learn.

I enjoyed my first visit to the Museum. Lots of weather-related artifacts - forecast instruments, stations for a virtual reality experience of the solar system, casts of record-breaking hail (8 inches!), a tornado-damaged car & more! Loved it! Important historical pieces right here in the weather capital - Norman, Oklahoma!

As others have said, it's a very small museum. Nice staff, interesting exhibits and some interactive parts. We drove all the way from Austin because my son is super into weather. Not really worth the drive, but definitely worth stopping if driving through Norman.

I first discovered this winery about 8 years ago before i moved back to Oklahoma from San Diego. This winery compares with some of the best wineries i have been to in San Diego and California . They have an outstanding selection of wines for all palates and preferences . I know you will come home with several bottles!! The prices are very reasonable for the exceptional quality!!! Only a minutes drive from Norman !! Delightful place to unwind and taste some great wines. The winery is family owned and very friendly and welcoming !! Go today !!

Thunderbird Casino is a long-lasting establishment providing various table games, slot machines, a lounge, a dining area and live weekend musical performances. The selection of slot machines is impressive while the beverages offered at the bar are affordable. Their grill serves delicious food with one of their specialties being catfish platter. However, whether they payout or not can be unpredictable as sometimes winning big is possible but other times $50 may only last for 10 minutes.
Pretty good slot machine selection, inexpensive bar drinks, and the grill has really good food! I love going out there! I came across this lady just randomly helping me out to understand how the promotion worked for the night. Good times. 😎😎

New Years Eve and their system is down! Cash only in machines. Place cash in machine... Play... Get ticket... Go to cashier cage... Cash out ticket... Go to another machine and place cash in to machine to play..... Repeat. The casino is to give away 2 vehicles tonight but the system is down. No chances to win the vehicles will be given. This is the night of the giveaway! What a Crock! Seems like just a ploy to get people in the building only to be disappointed and not have to give away anything. It was my first time there and we will never be back! We could not even get players club cards. I get offers for 50 dollars players credit every month from several casinos. I guess we will take our money to a more reliable establishment

It's fair they need some remodeling there are at least 3 sections it could be nicer if the food area is moved to the center even make it a patio eating event outside or closer so you could take food out and still be protected from the wind. Inside for a more friendlier and healthier atmosphere carpets need to be replaced and making one of the buildings a non smoking area.

The parking lot was kind of neglected and I wasn't sure if I had parked in a handicap space or not since I couldn't read what was a square but not in the parking spot.
But I'm sure that the parking lot is on there list of things to remodel since they had just finished remodeling the casino and from what I was told they are remodeling the bar and restaurant.
The casino was very clean with lots of new games. Although some of my favorite games I like were either out of order or the buttons were broke. So I wasn't able to play the bet I wanted to play. That part was kind of frustrating.
I wasn't there long since my money went fast.

Sooner Theatre is a non-profit organization that hosts both local and touring performances, while also providing classes for various age groups in a renovated 1929 cinema. The theatre's recent show, Les Miserables, received high praise for its spectacular performance. Sooner Studio offers excellent programs catering to the needs of children. The theater itself boasts stunning aesthetics and impeccable acoustics, making it an exceptional venue to support the local arts scene.
This place was very comfy and provides that old school theatre feel! The bathrooms were clean. Snack bar was well stocked. Fresh popcorn was delicious.

A very intimate setting, where you felt connected to those on the stage!!
Only negative was when leaving the building, one main exit door was not easy to open...someone pointed out that that might be a possible fire code violation, something I'm sure the owners will look into!

I recently went to see the Sooner Theatre production of White Christmas with a relative. We were both so happy to be able to get out and do something for the holidays that supposedly would pose little risk to covid due to the fact that the production was clearly advertised that masks were required. Apparently, we misunderstood. "In accordance with current CDC COVID 19 guidelines, masks are requested for all audience members, vaccinated or unvaccinated. Thank you.........please plan at this time to bring a mask." We had good seats in the center of the first section. What would have been a wonderful experience, the musical was GREAT, was unfortunately ruined for us when the women sitting next to us refused to put on their masks. We are both well over 65 and explained to them that we had pre-existing conditions. The second time we asked one of the women remarked that her religion "did not require her to wear a mask". I guess her religion is Q. Anyway, during intermission we asked, and management told us there was nothing they could do but find us two other seats, which I do appreciate, but they were definitely not seats that I would have paid for. I feel like at the beginning of the performance that Sooner Theatre management should have announced for people to please be considerate of others and wear a mask. After we complained at intermission, they still had the opportunity to make a short statement asking people to wear a mask. Even the cast were all wearing masks. Also, theatre management did ask that everyone return their programs at the end of the musical so that they could save money by using them over for the next performance. I think this is a great idea for the environment and a good way for the theatre to save money and would not have minded at all if I had known this from the beginning. I would have had No desire to thumb through a program that hundreds of other people had previously thumbed through while we are in the middle of a deadly pandemic as well as flu season, right before Christmas. I realize and accept we live in a state that can't or won't enforce measures that would save lives and I also realize there will always be someone who thinks their "rights" are more important than someone else's health. The one star rating is due to theatre management failing to do just a couple of small things that potentially could keep someone from getting sick. The performance of White Christmas deserves 5 stars and Sooner Theatre is beautiful.

One of the greatest treasures in the state of Oklahoma. The Sooner Theatre and the studio of the Sooner Theatre deliver, probably the finest children’s education in the performing arts anywhere in the country.
And when the adults take the stage, the caliber of talent that appears in this community theater often and have Broadway credits.
This place is amazing led by the amazing Jennifer Baker. Her dedicated staff are incredible teachers performers, and artist themselves. Norman is incredibly blessed to have the Sooner Theatre.
The James Garner statue is a bronze tribute to the legendary actor and war hero, located in Norman, Oklahoma. The town has historically been a prairie land and native American homeland but is now home to the University of Oklahoma. The statue is well-crafted and depicts Garner in cowboy attire, reflecting his Hollywood career where he appeared in TV shows like Maverick and The Rockford Files as well as numerous movies including The Great Escape.
Finding the James Garner statue was a surprise as I drive through Norman, Oklahoma. A former prairie town and native American homeland it is now home to the University of Oklahoma. It was good to see them honor a native son who is part Native American and a Korean War hero. He received two purple hearts and went on to make a career in Hollywood as an actor. He brought us some shows such as the Rockford Files and Maverick. He was in numerous movies including The Great Escape.

Parking was the easiest I’ve experienced for a sports venue in a long time. The arena wasn’t sold out by any means but you could still feel the energy from the Sooner fans. It was a great time especially not having to deal with the crowds of a pro team. Be sure to get out and support your Sooners in all sports!

The hospitality didn't disappoint. $2 beers... If not doing Dry January - I would have loved to quench my thirst.
The worker's had smiles on their faces and had good vibes. I even said yes to the daughters and bought a couple pom poms (small wristlet ones) $30+
Kona ice for the win on staying open later... Ice cream that one daughter wanted closed by the time we got over there.
The place had clean bathrooms and were easy to find. Popcorn came in a big bag and smelled good.
The music was loud enough but not overpowering. The kids zone was a big hit from my two toddlers.
I hope to return for another event here.
They did a great job...

From my own personal experience. Very clean, new docks and slips. I went up to the marina from my boat and attempted to buy gas but found the marina was closed. The sign on the door said they didn't close until 7:00 p.m. but I had arrived at 6:15 p.m. I was walking back to the boat at the fueling dock and a woman came out of the store and began screaming at us that we could not fish from the fueling dock. I can understand that.. all I wanted to do was be a paying customer and get fuel. I will advise everyone who visits that cove to stock up elsewhere. You never know when a wild hair will cause them to close early. With this type of customer service, I am not sure how long the little store will last.

We rented a pontoon, that was in decent shape for the most part. The depth finder didn't work, and the speakers weren't very loud. There were also additional rules not presented on the website, we had to agree to when picking up the boat. Had we known we would have to stay 150 feet from shore, and were threatened with the lake patrol taking pictures of us and reporting back to the marina (which would be illegal, and misappropriation of government resources) we wouldn't have wasted the $400 it cost, ultimately after tax and gas. We probably won't rent again.

Now that I've had some time to reflect on my most recent trip to Norman, Oklahoma - I want to share the incredible experience my wife and I had at Tribes Gallery.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill gallery.
Upon entering, walls are adorned with original native people’s art, including sculptures and tribal-specific items. One could get lost in this gallery, or shall we say museum, with the intricacy and detail of each piece.
I was honored to see the great work of Harvey Pratt and Carl Sweezy and notably felt a sense of connection with these two artists (Hinono'ei). Throughout the gallery, there are hundreds of pieces, mostly original. One could quickly lose track of time marveling at and appreciating the beauty and colors chosen to create these one-of-a-kind native peoples’ art. After a while, you get a sense of the style each artist determines and the personalization they have with their work. It's genuinely a fantastic store.
Let us get to the true gem of this location - Leslie!
Leslie, you were the most gracious host for our time in your store; what a rarity to find someone genuinely kind and knowledgeable about native people’s art and the artists who have provided their work. We shared so much during that HOT afternoon; time slipped by us without notice. Thank you for the hospitality. Thank you for the calendar (and the bag of goodies). More importantly, thank you for sharing the moment, the human connection, with you specifically.
I hope to see you during my next visit to Norman, OK.

What do you mean you arent sure I'm not dirt under your feet? WHO has an attitude like that, and what on earth for?? Also, the two of you acted like Border Control, and not store keepers! You have 0 rights to treat someone like that and I'm sure the camera would have caught your bigotry,
and WOW, B, the arrogant and agressive attitude was exceedingly ignorant! REALLY, I was very good at making an exit all on my own, and , yeah, someone has to get your attention to unlock the door or you DO KEEP IT LOCKED! I went a couple stores down and bought a bike cap, no problem at all there! Must be fat B's dont like me.

Called the number and it went to voice mall never a call back. Makes one wonder if the store front is just a sham. All I could see of the items was from the sidewalk looking in the windows. Tried to spend my money local but seems Tribes 131 wasn't intrested in it.

Tribes is no longer the wonderful gallery I visited and purchased many items over the years. Store is not open when it is listed and phone calls to number on door go unanswered. Most recent purchase in June 2016 was never mailed and had to report to credit card company for refund. Will never go there again. How sad.

Well laid out with lots of different artists works including Pottery rugs baskets and paintings all Native American. Reasonably priced and friendly knowledgeable people to assist in making a personal selection
Dillard's is a retail chain that offers a variety of products including apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty items and home goods. They also carry popular jewelry brand Kendra Scott and have the latest pieces available for purchase. Additionally, they provide excellent customer service to assist with any needs customers may have.

If it weren’t for the management staff, i would give this place 5 stars. Many of the sales associates I encountered were wonderful, kind people. However, when I needed an issue solved by a manager, an associate called for one. I waited over 15 minutes just for them to call. When she came out, I was introduced to her, she said she was the store manager. She was very cold and rude, acted as if she did not care to assist me in any way. She did not however hesitate to assist the young woman a few feet away, a lovely girl who I do not point fault to.. however I could not help but feel it had something to do with race and classism. I found her lack of hospitality and basic human respect to be extremely outdated and sad. When another employee attempted to assist me, she was pushy and rude with her, clearly using her management skills to manage making a simple task a much larger issue than it needed to be. The experience was not one I wish to repeat, however I hope that rat of a woman receives the karma which is due.

My husband is always difficult to buy for and the staff was patient with my indecisions and slow browsing.
I appreciate all the time I spent trying to make smart choices in home, accessories, and the men’s department and the staff was patient and helpful!
I purchased several shirts and a quilt and sheet set. Thank you Dillards

Whenever I need a new Kendra Scott piece look no more of driving up to OKC, I just drive to my local Norman Dillards instead. They always have the newest pieces and they have the best customer service. Tabbie has been taking amazing care of me as a customer since they had put the Kendra Scott pop up store in this location. She is always so kind and helpful. She is willing to help with whatever you need. If there is an event coming up she will be the first one to contact you and let you know. So if you are needing any help with your Kendra Scott needs please see Tabbie so she can help you with all your needs for yourself or a gift for someone else. She is a amazing!

Bought a coat for my 14 yr old on Christmas Eve. He didn’t like it. Went back 2 days after I bought it. No refund, they said it looked like we wore it and that it was dirty. Pretty sure the manager thought I was up to no good. Too bad for them, I make ok money driving a truck and my kids and my mom only like to shop at Dillard, and we will never be going there again. Mgr should be so proud of her customer service skills and saved the store an $80 return.

Had to pick up a new dress shirt and vest. The men working the suit area are very knowledgeable and helpful. A very good choice for a fast suit fix. Definitely returning for the next shirt!!!

It's hard to navigate their website and it just seemed as if any time I liked a particular item. I would come back to it and it would be gone(sold out I guess) so I just wish they had more stock available. But in store shopping is fine usually I get followed around constantly (to make sure I'm not shoplifting I guess) but overall good store if you are rich and look rich it is the store for you then.

I had to run in to buy a jacket for a conference I was attending and the staff was so helpful in navigating the product lines. I found the perfect jacket too!

Just wanted to get my James Avery stuff fixed and charms added. The lady was really sweet, but she was limited at what she could do there.

Staff was friendly, even whispered, asking if I needed help with anything, while I was on the phone. Lots of options in the big and tall section. Some prices were a little too much but lots of options when shopping on a budget.

Find the store very appealing, both merchandise wise and customer service above what I find in other retail stores.

We didn’t intend on shopping at Dillard’s but wound up getting everything we needed there. We decided to stay after Amanda helped us find some professional women’s wear. She was so helpful and friendly that we stayed! Great fashion advice and quickly had an eye for things my wife would like. It isn’t often that a salesperson makes such a memorable impression but Amanda definitely did. Highly recommend.

It has some pretty decent name brands. Some of it is old styles and the prices are a little too high for some of it being that inflation is the way it is. I pretty decent selection, variety of clothing and you don't have to commute to the city. Not a bad choice just bring them prices down. True Religion isn't popular like that any more.

Dillard's at sooner fashion mall offered me great service. They gave me a makeover. And afterwards I really looked great with the new makeup applied. I bought some of the new makeup and I'm still wearing it and I love it. I want to thank them for their great service.

This is the only Dillard's that gets my business. I've been to a few locations between Oklahoma and Mississippi and all of the staff is rude to me EXCEPT this store. Everyone here is so welcoming and willing to answer questions, which I truly appreciate. It's the reason I keep coming back.

Love the store, got great help at the fragrance counter (sorry forgot her name...blonde with glasses, middle aged).
I would recommend training your sales associates work on not arguing about sales commissions and who's customer belonged to who in front of your customers. Issue was in menswear, specifically Big and Tall. We will be sure NOT to have those individuals help us in the future...maybe we will take our purchases to the fragrance counter!

I was looking for some new makeup and a friend recommended Mac inside Dillard's so I went. The pro there not only helped me choose what was best for my skin but she applied everything to my face so I could see it for myself before I made a purchase. There's no doubt that the make up is more expensive than what I usually buy but it's also incredibly lightweight while having great coverage. It was a real help too being able to watch her apply it.
The Sutton Wilderness Trail Park is a scenic nature reserve with an expansive lake, rustic woodland trails, and a charming wooden gazebo. The trail spans 1.3 miles, meandering through lush trees and featuring both paved and pea gravel sections. A fishing pond resides in the heart of the park while alternate paths offer varying views for hikers to explore. Visitors can also access other recreational areas such as Rock Creek Park or dog parks nearby.
Increíble inmejorable parque para correr. Poco concurrido.

Amazing unbeatable running park. Little crowded. Great expanse for paved running and hiking 🥾 too. You can fish, come with a stroller, with dogs but bicycles are not allowed.
It is super clean and beautiful. Great habitat for different species of owl turtles, dragonflies, and butterflies.
It is our obligation to take care of this wonderful place, today near my house I found a turtle and I brought it to this place so that it is safer and happier. It is my favorite place to come and relax.
And continue taking care of nature

Been going here for 5+ years. Wonderful place to exercise, take photos, or just go on a leisurely stroll to enjoy nature. Be careful about going at dark & plan to park elsewhere if the parking lot is full. New parking spaces are under construction & almost complete though as of March 2024.
No restrooms. Please pick up after yourself as well. Trashcans at the parking lot as well as doggy bags are provided.

Great 1.3 mi. walking park. Trail is well maintained and wide enough for several people to walk on. No bicycles allowed which makes it so that you aren't constantly looking over your shoulder. I'm not into fishing but there were several people with poles.
Definitely worth stopping for.

This is a very beautiful nature park. Perfect for walking and just relaxing on one of the benches. I loved how yhete where little trails off the main path. I was there today 11/17/2023 and all I can say is how sad to find this beautiful wilderness area like this.. all trashed. Can y'all at least pick up after y'all selves... what happened to leaving a place better than ypu found it? I'll be back with a trash bag..

Possibly the best park in Norman! Incredibly inclusive (disability access and inclusion) playground with many unique toys to play with. The restrooms are usually open, satisfactorily clean, and usable. There is a large covered picnic area with 5+ picnic tables available. This park has great proximity to food and drink places just a mile South and will get very busy during peak hours!
If this GPS takes you to the walking trails (no playground), turn out of that parking lot to the left (west) until the next stop; then, turn left again (south). You will see the park with the playground in less than 1 mile. The GPS taking me to the walking trails instead of the playground has been a common problem on my commutes. The trails are accessible from the playground park if you want to do both but not vice versa. 😊

Lovely trail well marked and they are expanding the trails it looks like. Parking can be sketch because around golden hour it's a popular place for family photos.

This park is a great place to check out! The trail is wide and flat, approximately 1.3 miles long. Easy hike with almost full shade when trees are leafed out. There is a pond and fishing is allowed. There is also a gazebo at the front. A fair amount of parking although it can be hard to find a spot depending on when you go.

I've been coming here for over 35 years and it still holds a little but of peace in a fast pace world. Great scenery and fishing.

One and one third miles all the way around. Beautiful tree covered path. Some paved some pea gravel. Beautiful fishing pond in middle. Alternate paths for different scenery. Path leading to park on Rock creek and paths leading to dog park and soccer fields. Benches for resting throughout. No lights. Gets dark quick and there are wild animals in the wildernes that come out after dark. Educational signs about local animals and plants. Great place to exercise or have a picnic or go fishing with friends and family.

Clean, even paths, looks like the path is also wheelchair accessible. I needed a break from the city for a minute, but didn't have time to enjoy the entire perimeter. Absolutely lovely spot for this country gal to get away from the new hustle and bustle.
An added bonus to the well kept scenic Thunderbird Recreation area. I visit the area often and am greatful the facility is close, always available and the staff is always helpful and courteous.

With not much to do on a Saturday morning, I brought my 4.5 year old boy out here and I enjoyed it as much as he did. We got a great morning and early afternoon occupied for free. We got loads of education through a nature discussion from naturalist Ernest Martin, he knew so much, not just about snakes, bugs & reptiles but also has a vast and impressive knowledge about dinosaurs, too. The hands on exhibits were great, as well as the terrarium and diagrams. If you're in the area, definitely make the visit.

Lake Thunderbird's nature center!! Nature center has live animals we use for education purposes but also to let people know what animals in the environment of the state of Oklahoma. Park naturalist is an amazing guy to talk to about anything animal, tree's, dirt, etc. If you go to Lake Thunderbird and don't come to the nature center you would be missing out on the best thing there! From boy scouts, girl scouts, to homeschool, and to anybody wanting to know more about ANY animal. There is no fee to visit the nature center. Before volunteering there make sure you have your background and paperwork that's been done and you receive a copy of all of it before even touching anything no matter what age you are!

Stopped here on our road trip. Fun place to get out and run around. The nature center had great hands on activities for the kids. Got a park passport for Oklahoma for the kids as well. We hit up a few nature trails that were pretty easy and walked by the lake and climbed around on some of the rocks.

Based on previous reviews I thought Discovery Cove Nature Center was going to have live animals on display but all we found was some really old and dusty taxidermy.
On a positive note the was some informative displays. The nature mural was really good. We did leave with some nice literature about Oklahoma.
The interpreter was helpful in explaining a few things for us.
My grandson liked it so that's all that really matters.
