Riverfront Park is a popular green space located along the Cooper River in North Charleston. The park features a large meadow, performance pavilion, and river views. The park is open to the public year-round and is a favorite destination for residents and visitors.
One of our favorites! We went for an impromptu Sunday stroll. It was perfect sunshine, and a stunning day for a walk by the river. The memorials and Navy displays are wonderful. There is a children’s playground, plenty of picnic tables, and room to roam. It was not crowded at all, plenty of parking, and restrooms on site. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Fun for all.

This is a Great park. Plenty of space and parking. Room for a picnic, frisbee, kite flying, sun tanning, jogging, fishing from a pier, a restaurant and ample parking and a brewery close by. There is also dock for smaller boats on the creek. I ride my bike around and the shipyards are full of old historic things. This used to be where Navy brass lived and there houses remain and slip off into time. One of my very favorite parks

This park is a lovely element of this city; I’ve attended a number of fairs here. It’s interesting to watch the traffic on the river, and there are restrooms, and an off-leash dog park—which is excellent for our canine citizens!—but someone is making a terrible mistake with the piped music.

Riverfront Park is a hidden gem in N. Charleston. It's got a boardwalk along the river, a history of the old Navy base, a beautiful new pedestrian bridge, plenty of space for picnics. I enjoy taking a book and reading beside the river. Remember to take bugspray!! It's a great space for music and food festivals. There are also beautifully restored historical homes that can be rented for events.

Riverfront Park is a fantastic destination for getting out and relaxing or having fun with out of town family or your local friends. It is located on the old golf course of the former naval base with beautiful views. There’s walkways, picnic tables, a pier that juts out into the Cooper River, old oak trees, and magnolia trees for shade. There are public restrooms both near the playground and the Veterans Memorial. It’s a gem. Parking is free. There is currently only one restaurant at the park.

This is such an awesome place to visit, with a blend of new along with the deep history of the old naval base. There is a gorgeous view of the Cooper River along a boardwalk. A large and inviting open field provides for many things, from a picnic to tossing a Frisbee. Also, events are frequently hosted here.

This is our first time at Riverfront Park. While exploring the area today, we discovered some Naval monuments and a scenic walkway. It was breathtaking and will revisit to explore more.

Fun seaside park. Naval Memorial and beautiful ocean view. Benches under trees are a great place to picnic. We followed that up with a stroll along the boardwalk and watched tiny crabs on the shore and small sealife nearby. There is also a fun fountain for kids to play in on a hot day. Pretty Spanish moss highlights the area.

A beautiful park with history and cool sculptures here and there. A great choice for High Water music festival. I'd like to check it out on a normal day when I visit Charleston again.

Pretty cool walking spot if you can get past the early summer heat. We saw lawn art, lawn chairs, a bridge, gardens, jumping fish, and baby crabs.

It is a great park with lots of things to see and a fantastic place to get a break from a stressful week. The area has lots of history, which is immediately evident when you get by the river. There is a group of flags with each of the services represented and a very in-depth and informative display that gives a thorough history of the area. The views of the river are fantastic, even on an overcast day. There's a few restaurants, an event facility that uses to be the admirals quarters. It's definitely a must-see park if you're in the area and have some time or just want a relaxing day with family. I've got more pics that I'll upload later, but it was a great place to take pictures even with the overcast skies.

The 52nd annual Charleston Scottish Games was a terrific event. It was my first time attending these games and already look forward to returning next year. Great vendors for authentic treaaures and food trucks that satisfied every craving. The weather could not have been better. The opening ceremony, mass bands, the athletes that participated in the games throughout the day along the Clan parade was thrilling to witness. Just curious why they did not have Guiness or McEwans on tap..maybe the crowds consumed a bit less beer and enjoyed the Scotch taste tastings more. I absolutely loved the border collie demonstrations. Riverfront Park location suited this event perfectly.

This is a great park in North Charleston. It used to be Navy housing. It's a beautiful place. We went to the Riverfront Revival music concert. Great walkway along the water. Several pieces of art throughout. Piers to fish. There is a restaurant near the water. Not sure of the hours.

Beautiful park to bring your children. The day we went there was a gosp el concert, with plenty of things for your family to do. The only negative thing was there was a zillion of micro tiny bugs that were biting every one. I happen to had on a short shirt top. I was bitten over 20 times. That I finally had to leave the park. I was so sad about that.
M Greene — Google review
It was a very good beautiful experience. Both days the band was good the food was so good. Met a lot of nice people. It's just very expensive for the locals to be able to come. The park is paid for it's a little too pricey for the concerts. But I do love live music

I love this place! This is a very historical old Navy base. When I was in the military, we would come here because of the location right on the water. Now that it is closed, they have done a great job of reusing the spaces and refurbishing and leasing the big beautiful old homes that used to house military officers .
It’s a beautiful place to walk and have lots of family fun. There are lots of trees, but because it’s so big many of the spaces are not shaded
It is easy to get to plenty of parking and beautiful views of the riverfront. Many times and I have come for local, concerts, cultural festivals and events.
Nice, walking and jogging trails.
There is a nice fishing pier, a few small benches, a covered picnic area with tables and a few small barbecue grills. It might be smart to bring your own portable chair if you would like to sit closer to the water.
The dog park is hidden in the back near the children’s play area. Not a lot of grass in that area but the upkeep seems to be OK. Doggy resource bags available.
My only complaint is that the mosquitoes out here are horrible. I’ve been living in the area for a long time, but this is the only place I always get bitten by a variety of bugs I cannot identify constantly . Make sure you have plenty of bug spray.
Lots of greenery,. Children’s play area is very nice and has lots of activity sections. There’s even a sprinkler area for kids to get run through upfront near the military memorial section.
Right at the front there is a restaurant called Momo’s. The food is extremely good and the service is amazing.
If you come on the right day, you may see dolphins in a few interesting looking cargo ships.
Parking is everywhere. They just opened a new bridge in the back near the picnic area.
If you are able to find this entrance it is easier and faster to get into the park. Again, don’t forget the bug spray.
You can make a whole day of visiting here !

Visited this outlet while visiting Charleston. I loved the amount of stores it has and nice place to shop. The outlet was clean and I like the beautiful decoration like the christmas tree, etc. The mall design was beautiful and easy to walk from stores to stores and like other outlets has plenty of parking spaces.

Such a beautiful place with a lot of things to do, eat and buy. The bathroom is so amazingly clean and they have a lot of traffic coming in and out. The only thing that needs organizing is all the stores being obligated to open at the same time because it makes for a smoother shopping experience from start to finish. They have several places to sit, park and little outside play areas for the kids. The parking lot is always watched by security and it is a safe place for families of all sizes. I love it:)

There are some stores here that I like including Gap Factory, Banana Republic Factory and Columbia Sportswear. I love how it’s set up exactly like Rainbow Row. It’s also in VERY close proximity to Charleston International Airport, and so you definitely see and hear a lot of aircraft.

The Rack Room Shoes employees did not provide any assistance. Also, shoe boxes had mixed sizes, and employees didn't care when advised of it. In regards to military discounts, they only provide it on certain days (Tuesdays), amazing for a military town. They limit it to their convenience. Won't be back.

Didn’t get friendly vibes while I was in the store. I walked pass most of the staff and no one spoke or said anything to me. They watched me walk around the store but never said anything to me until I reached the counter to check out. The store was pretty clean and they had a decent selection of shoes and clothes. They just need to work on their customer service.

Tanger Outlets Charleston is a nice and clean outdoor mall. It has a large variety of stores. And if you are patient, you can discover some great sales and bargains. If you are in the Charleston area, stop by and check it out.
The North Charleston Fire Museum is a large and interesting attraction that features antique firefighting vehicles and equipment. The museum is situated close to the Tanger Outlets, which makes it easy to combine a visit here with other activities. The museum could be a valuable resource for families who worry about fires in their homes, as well as for aspiring firefighters.
They have a Slide and pole to slide down for kids to play on. Kids lived the firetruck simulation pretending to drive. They had fun making stickers from their sticker machine. They loved the plastic hats when leaving. They have a stunning collecting of vintage firetrucks.
Sydney Yeung — Google review
If you're looking for a museum to visit in a few hours or less, you can't beat this one, even if you don't think you're interested in fire stuff. This beautiful museum has fire 'trucks' from the 1800s up until today, all in pristine condition with the history of where and when they served.
If you have kids, there's both a play set in the middle of the museum, along with an ongoing display presentation on fire safety around the house. And while we didn't have any kids with us, every boy and girl we saw had a fire hat and sticker to remember their day.
So if you have ever wondered about fire engines, fire safety or even just heard a siren going down the street, this museum will be of interest to you, I promise.
Jason Lake — Google review
The staff was super friendly and informative about the town and things to do. The trucks are super clean and presentable. I wish I would have brought patches from my departments for their patch collection on the wall. Very dark inside for pictures without flash. There was only the person I came with and myself in the museum for the hour we were there.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this museum! It's a small museum but there are plenty of historic fire trucks, gear, and information. There is even a slide and fire pole for the kids to play on. We had fun with all the interactive stations and spent a ton of time in the firetruck driving simulation. I've been here before, about 3 years ago, and nothing much has changed but $6 for adults and children 12 and under are free, you can't beat it. Kids get a plastic fire helmet when you leave too!
Joshua Berrian — Google review
On a day trip to Charleston, we took our boys, ages 6 and 8, to this museum. This was our 2nd visit and they loved it! My firefighter husband loved the extensive collection of old fire trucks dating back all the way to the 1800's, but my kids loved the fire "playground" with the slide and fire pole, the fire truck simulator where they can sit in the truck and pretend they're going on a call, and the video in the theater. Don't skip the theater show! It's only about 10 minutes and is really cool/interactive. It has a very good and kid-friendly explanation about what causes fires, how to prevent fires, and how to safely escape a fire by having a safety plan. If you have an older child, he/she may be interested in the history of fire fighting displays, etc. You can definitely do this whole museum in an hour, but could spend more or less time depending on your family's interests. Don't forget to design your free fire-fighter badge sticker on the way out and visit the gift shop to get your kids a free fire helmet!

We have been here twice now and both times the kids loved it. They did an amazing job of showing the history, making things fun and interactive for kids, and informative. Extremely affordable admission. If you are in Charleston, it is definitely worth the visit.

Very well kept museum with friendly staff & numerous different trucks & displays. The museum provides an interesting look at the history of firefighting. There's a small play area for children within the museum with a large slide, firefighter's pole & climbing ladder. Parking is free & very close, admission is $6 with kids under 13 free of charge. Definitely worth a visit!

A great museum for kids and adults alike. If you love history, fire trucks, firefighters, etc., you’ll love this museum. I took my 2 year old, who loves fire trucks, and was myself very impressed. They have steam powered fire trucks all the way to modern trucks and interactive learning stations. The museum is immaculate. Stop by and say hello to Max if he’s working, he’s a wealth of knowledge. Tell him Gary from Ohio said hello.

Really cool experience for the family. The staff was really helpful. The kids were able to design their own sticker badges. It also features interactive displays. And at the end of the tour, the kids got complementary helmets. Overall, it was a really cool experience geared toward kids learning fire safety. 👍🏽👍🏽

Really enjoyable experience! The fire engines are beautifully presented along with historical information from the time period.I went on a Thursday around lunchtime, and it was not crowded at all. There are a few interactive areas and a movie about fire safety. The movie is geared towards kids but I found it to be interesting and educational. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend for adults as well as kids.

Liked it a lot. Great place for little kids and anyone interested in fire safety, engines, etc. One of my kids was a little scared of the sirens and darkness but it's a nice museum. Many fire trucks over the decades on display plus a truck is set up to stimulate driving a real engine. Kids can also make their own sticker name badges. Gift shop on site. Easy parking.

This museum is great! It has many beautiful fire trucks to see and plenty of info about them. The safety program is included and is so great. It was incredibly engaging and even the Littles were captivated the entire time. Kids under 12 are free and children 12 and older, to include adults, are six dollars per person. I feel that price is great considering the size of the museum and that kids are free. You could do this in one to two hours. I also adore the staff. I’m pretty sure they’re actual firefighters in the community and they were so nice, pleasant and knowledgeable. There’s even a small playground inside. That was a great outlet for kids to use. Also, the simulator was the best firetruck simulator that we’ve been on, and we have been on four different ones. Additionally, kids get to make their own badge and it’s very simple and cute. We have been to so many museums, so I can be very picky, but this is definitely on my recommendation list for people. I love it.

My son and I wound up with an hour to kill around noon on a Friday and found this place. It's kind of fascinating and surprisingly comprehensive.
I'd never know that cut glass water grenades were an example of an early firefighting technology, for example.
They've even got a Japanese firefighting suit from the WW2 era.
We spent nearly an hour looking at patches/badges from fire companies in different cities, trying to see how many of them we've actually visited.

My dad is a retired firefighter and although he wasn't in attendance on this trip, I felt as if he was by my side. Visiting from out of state and was so happy to see this collection of wonderful relics from long ago. The history and pride was colorfully on display and the sheer volume of interactive tools was a fun part of the museum. Bring your kids and family and enjoy speaking with the helpful staff. There is a store with items for the kids and souvenirs for the adults. A great value at 6 bucks for adults and kids under 13 are free.
The Waterfront museum in Charleston offers guided tours on weekends, showcasing a 19th-century historic submarine along with its artifacts and exhibits. The Hunley, a submarine from the Civil War era, mysteriously vanished in Charleston Harbor after sinking a Union ship. After years of searching, experts successfully located the sunken submarine buried in the harbor's mud. Through meticulous efforts, they carefully raised and restored the Hunley to its former glory.
What an amazing tour! Thank you to John our fabulous tour guide! He was so filled with knowledge and all the kids and adults in our group had such a great time. Science mixed with history!
We opted for a private weekday group tour and I highly recommend that if you can!

Definitely an interesting visit. About 2 hours seems like a good amount of time. When we were there a volunteer shared the story and I think that helped. You definitely want to make sure you hear the story live or from the video booth before you see the submarine. I think I would have lost interest the other way around.

It's good for a quick visit. There are docents who are available to answer questions. There is a video briefing some history. The actual Hunley is there behind glass in a chemical bath. You can view it from the top only. It has many interactive displays throughout the small museum. The entry fee is $18 .

Fantastic and must see for history lovers. Incredible story told through a very well done exhibit that covers the man who built the submarine and it’s doomed predecessors. You can see the submarine still going through restoration as well as personal artifacts of the crew. Arrived early on a Saturday morning as other crowds were arriving - suggest arriving when first opens or late morning. Great gift shop and afterwards visited the crews burial spot only a few miles away - get directions and tips from the friendly staff. For both museum and burial plan on 4-5 hours.

Excellent an interesting museum. It is a temporary location as there are plans to move to a more permanent location in the future. That hasn’t been settled yet, but given what they have in this location, I imagine a permanent location will be grand.
Anyway, this was a very informative museum. Every piece of information is well presented with a lot of good imagery and graphics. It is also good for children in that there is a lot of things they can touch and learn. There is a short film that documents the night that the Hunley sank the Housatonic, and when she was lost. There’s even a partial replica of the Hunley that you can climb in and get a feel for how dark it was inside, and what the cranks would’ve been like. Note that you cannot fully crank.
But the crown jewel of the museum, of course is the Hunley itself. Before you view her, you can look at the valuable restored items that were on Lieutenant Dixon’s person when he perished. Among the most famous piece being the $20 gold coin that stopped the bullet that was fired at him during the battle of Shiloh.
You view the Hunley from a raised platform behind glass, so it’s visually not the most appealing view, but it is still fascinating. I am told if you become a member, you might have a better view, but that you’ll definitely be able to view some recovered items that are not on display as of yet, during member days in October.

Holy City Brewing is an established craft brewery in North Charleston, known for its laid-back tasting room resembling a garage. The space features a pool table, live music, and offers free tours. Since its establishment in 2011, Holy City has become a well-known name in the Charleston beer scene. Their tap list boasts a variety of beers to choose from, including their award-winning Pluff Mud Porter. Visitors can enjoy the Carolina sunshine at outdoor picnic tables while sipping on their favorite brews.
First time here and loved it! Excellent brunch menu and great service to keep the mimosas flowing. My chicken (Nashville hot) and waffles was a hit. Nice and crunchy. Nice heat without being overwhelming. Hot, crispy waffles. Yum. We also got the breakfast burrito and the breakfast bowl. Everyone loved their dishes! The atmosphere was super comfortable. The brewery - better, huge taproom i- s located in the more industrial area and at no surprise the brewery comes with the charm of a warehouse. The huge mural at the entrance area is a nicely done depiction of the delta. The brewery has 38 (?) of their own beers on tap. After 2 flights (8 ea. 5 fl oz. tasters), I still wasn't sure what beer I really liked. Sometimes it seems more appropriate to brew a beer 38 times to make a great beer than to brew 38 different ones.
The staff at the brewery is great. Our water was refilled without delay and we were reminded of kitchen closing and the last call. This taproom feels like a local place that caters to local people. If I'd live closer, I'd probably be a regular.

I was told about the Winter Wonderland at Holy City Brewery, and they did not disappoint! I took my nephew and though he was shy he truly enjoyed it. When you first get there you are greeted with smiles and hearing someone sing all the Christmas songs is a treat. The actors are very sweet and know what kids enjoy. A lot of interaction with the staff and the children, hot chocolate, making cookies, games, building a nutcracker I can go on and on. The decorations, music, snow, reindeer etc. A magical winter wonderland

Holy city brewing is one of my absolute favorite places to go for fun, to meet clients at and to have a drink and hang out with my fellow realtors.
Not only is it centrally located, has a great ambience and atmosphere. Love all the beers! The food is incredible, especially the collision fries!
One of my favorite things to do is to meet a client here on a nice hot day and enjoy a beer while talking about the house overlooking the river!
It’s a must see! Especially if you were on the way out of town, great place to stop and have a few beers before you head to the airport!

This place gets worse each time we go, tonight being our last. The food is awful and the service is no better.
The burgers are wafer thin and come out burnt. We waited about a half an hour for new ones, finally went inside to see where they were and they finally came out with more burned ones. We left without eating dinner. We will never go back. Oh, and the Halloween "horror house" last year was NOT the least bit scary. The price of purchase included a free beer but what they don't tell you is that it's one specific very awful tasting beer. Must have been a bad seller that they decided to unload through this gimmick.
Save your money and go elsewhere.

Lots of great beers on tap, even a selection of non-alcoholic for those who don't drink. Very kid-friendly with lots to keep them entertained. The food is great, and there are outdoor and indoor options for seating, drink service, and food. I saw a lot of events posted inside--seems like they stay busy. Only downside is mosquitos galore, which I suppose is a given when you're on the marsh (and just about anywhere in Charleston).

Absolutely amazing!!!! The oyster bar is truly one to ensure you try. I am very cautious about oysters, especially at a brewery (unheard of). Yet, the oysters were ABSOLUTELY FRESH and their trio of mignonette sauces were outstanding!! We tried every last one of the oysters and not a single disappointment. The picture attached is of the fish dip which was our appetizer. 5 out 5 across the board!!! Not to mention, the brewery itself is top tier. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

They have by far the best sours I've tried from other breweries here in SC so far! Their pretzels, immaculate and to die for! Also I think are the best so far on the East Coast!! Their ghost cheese fritters amazing too!!

Great brews with better than decent bar food with a daily rotating menu. The Barrel Aged Collision Stout is worth the trip from anywhere!

I had a great time here. Plenty of options on tap. The Whitewash Wheat is great. For food, I had ceviche, the lobster roll, and a side of fries. All delicious. Great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great. Fun time all around.

Went here tonight with my wife. We both got burgers, overall the food and service were great. Plenty of drink options and good music. Definitely going to add this place to the list of spots we visit.
North Charleston Wannamaker County Park is an expansive natural space, abundant with forests and marshes. It features designated areas for grilling and picnicking, as well as a water park that requires payment. This park is perfect for various outdoor activities like running, biking, camping, hiking, and simply appreciating nature's beauty.
We love this park, things to do for all ages! The playgrounds, walking and biking trails and disc golf are great for kids and adults alike. The dog park seems to always be a popular place!

Had my catalytic converter cut off my car while I was here a few months back. Staff was as helpful as they could be but nothing was done to find the person who did it. I used to come every day for about an hour with my son. Now I only park at the dog park area in front of the camera.
Be careful to not stray from your car for too long while here.

Nice, big park. It costs to get in, but there's so much to do and explore here. My daughter loves the splash area and the playground. Be on the lookout for gators and snakes! I've seen both every time I've been to this park.

Of all the many many maaaany times I’ve gone to Wanamaker park, this is my first gator sighting there 😳 exciting but also super scary! Thankfully he didn’t even come after me 😆🙃 it was a lovely day (albeit super hot and humid) for a walk on a shady trail and to let the kids run and play on a shady playground.

This park on the border of North Charleston and Goose Creek is a great find for someone who wants to escape the city for a while without leaving the city. It offers a water park, dog park, run through water features to cool off on a hot day and much more. Check this park out for sure. It's worth the $2.00 admission.

Had a good time for my grandson's birthday party. The only problem was my daughter had prepaid for the guests but the didn't tell all the employees at the gate so several got charged.

I was feeling down after laying my mom to rest. I needed something to ease my mind. While scrolling through Facebook, I happened upon an event going on at Wannamaker Park. The event was United BBQ put on by an organization called #We Are Human. The founder is Terrance that you see in the picture with me below. So, I volunteered myself and my children to help any way we could. We arrived at the park and didn't have to anything but enjoy the day. They already had everything under control. This park has an array of things to do. A Waterpark, sprinkler area for little ones, playground, dog park, multiple gazebo areas, walking and trails, and paddle boats. All purpose place to visit for whatever ills you!

Trails at Wannamaker County Park are indicated by different colors marked on trees. There are enough trails to provide good exercise, as well as locations to sit and enjoy the solitude. There's a fun children's play area with sprinkler water feature, a fantastic dog park, several pavilions for picnicking and/or events, and an indoor Hall available for booking. Gold Passes make it so inexpensive for enjoying the park year-round. Highly recommend!

First off there is a fee of 2.00 per person or a County Park pass is available on site which allows free access to all Charleston County Parks. I like to read after work before going home. The place I have been going is free but limited parking and zero shade. On the water which is nice and a tidal river that is more interesting. The contrast is this: two short trails there. One is a board walk on the Ashley River that I like. That is all you have other than the boat ramp.
Here there is a seasonal water park that has a separate cost I believe. It is nice, for sure. Then a dog park, disc golf course and parking galore. Shelters and such I am sure you can rent for Birthdays for the kids and more I have yet to see.
It is North Charleston, you can hear a hum of cars in the distance but really peaceful. All the secluded parking areas is a bonus. Still exploring but after a long day well worth two dollars to me.

Took my wife, my Son's family and my Grandson to the Whirling Waters Water park located here. We had a great time! The price of admission wasn't overly expensive. Plenty of slides and all sorts of water related things to do while here. Park ran by the Charleston County parks. Good place to take your family and children. Come early because during the summer months good deal of people are coming here. Would recommend checking out this park!
Chuck Paxton — Google review
This Waterpark was a must do for us while visiting from out of town. Tickets are a bit pricey so if you live in the area season passes are a good idea if you plan on going more than 2 times during the season. The park itself also has a splash pad, playground, and BBQ areas.
Lindsey Deal — Google review
I had never adventured past the Waterpark but it's so cute. The hidden trails are absolutely stunning. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Caroline Hoy — Google review
The park was a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the area surrounding it. Multiple walking trails to choose from, a dog park, disc golf, as well as a waterpark (which was currently closed for the season). I didn't read into it, but it looked like you could rent bikes and paddleboats as well. There is a nice little playground for the kiddos too.
$2 for entry and you also have the option of purchasing an annual pass.

Amazing dog park with shaded areas, water area, lots of open space to run. Bathroom near too. Wonderful place!

This is an amazing park for all sorts of activities. From renting bikes or paddleboats, to hiking, a cool waterpark, Frisbee golf and dog friendly! I really enjoy this park and it's serene feel. Can be loud and crowded at times but still a great experience! Cost around 2$ to park but worth every penny!
BillyBiggs614 — Google review
It's really big and the walking trails are nice. I subtracted a star because the playgrounds are covered by little rocks instead of something more kid friendly like wood chips. This isn't small toddler friendly since they like to put everything in their mouth.

This park is very beautiful and the workers are nice. My boyfriend and I went on a picnic near the lake then went kayaking. This is a family friendly park with sprinklers and a lot of walking/bike trails. There are a lot of trees with shade, perfect for a picnic. There was a park police officer riding around the park on his bike which made it feel very safe. It's calm and quiet. I highly recommend it here. Don't hesitate!

Best dog park I've ever been to. They also have a dog splash park. Huge park, nice tall fences. Benches to sit on, bathrooms, a dog wash station( costs money) , dog fountain, trash cans, dog poop bag stations, and there's trails you can walk among other things nearby. A must see.

Great dog park. Extensive well maintained hiking trails that are very clearly marked. Also extensive paved trails perfect for biking. Look forward to going back in warm weather to see the water park
Located at Wannamaker Park in North Charleston, South Carolina, the Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark offers a range of outdoor amusement activities during the summer season. Spanning over 15 acres, this water park is renowned for its thrilling attractions including waterslides and a wave pool. One particular highlight is The Washout, an exhilarating raft ride where riders are taken down a 65-foot slide and propelled back up on the opposite side.
I brought my 2 daughters 5 & 7 for a day at the water park and was not disappointed. We came around 945am and there were already several cars parked and people waiting to get in and grab a chair. I definitely recommend coming early and grabbing your spot! We did every slide before 11am and the lines were minimal. By 1130am the lines for the bigger slides were pretty long, so be prepared to be patient. Also, if you are not used to walking steps / carrying things a long distance come prepared for hefting the large inner tunes up several flights of stairs to use the big slides. I had to do this solo since my girls are so small and I'm fortunate I am physically able, but this could be a challenge for some not used to that level of physical activity. The price of admission for smaller kids is based on height so our group paid roughly $70 to get in for the day and we spent about $50 on food and treats throughout the day. You can bring your own food, but it has to be left in the car and you can get your hand stamped for readmission after having your lunch/snack in the parking lot if you want to save on the food cost. There is also a store with hats, goggles, sunscreen, novelties, etc. If you forget something! There is also an inclement weather policy and they will give you admission on another day if they close due to weather once you pay, they explain this as you enter. Overall great experience, we will be back and the birthday party packages seem great!

I've havent been here since childhood and coming back to visit this summer was amazing! AND THEY STILL HAVE DIP N DOTS! Love it! The rides were fun and relaxing, definitely a great spot for dates or hanging out with the family.

Love this place! Great price for adults! A great place for lasting family memories! Me and my boys could do so much! SO MANY SLIDES EVERYWHERE!!! Wanna get dumped by a huge bucket of water while running on a playground, you got it! Wanna slide head first on a matt and race your kiddos to the bottom, it's on! All ages are welcome. There is something for everyone! I recommend the pink ride if you like thrills!

Love this place it’s very Close. I just don’t like when people say it’s bad because they don’t check the weather or don’t get life jackets. But all in all very great and love the slides.

Fun place for the kids and us adults to relax and play. Small wave pool, small lazy river, a nice little area for 7 and below to play. Favorite part for my kiddos is the big play area with the giant water bucket that dumps on top of you. There are several slides to play on. Food here is decent with different locations and cool treats to choose from. Lockers and season passes available, don't expect and military discount however.

This has been a fun place for our daughters to kill some summer heat and time. Ages 10 & 15 we went the first time on a Wednesday and the park was not overwhelming, the temperatures were great and while we enjoyed the slides with them we chilled in the lazy river our fair share. There are lockers $7.00 for the regular size ( this will not fit a beach bag. We used it for valuables) there are larger sizes. The food was fair priced for an amusement area. The facilities felt well taken care of and the staff were all pleasant. We are new to SC so I can tell you that when we think “water park” we are used to much much larger and a lot more features. However, for being 10 minutes from our home it was spot on to kill a couple hours for our family. Our daughters did say this is something that because of the smaller size they would probably only do it about once a month.

One of the best places to go with the family. Nice atmosphere, great waterslides, lazy river and a wonderful wave pool. Without a doubt one of the best summer trips. My daughters always ask to go.
Raquel Andrade — Google review
Fun place, kids (8-12) and I like going on the big slides and lazy river, lots of different water activities for all ages. The setting is beautiful, in pine forest with plenty of trees and shade.
Few pointers: Only if you get here early (right at 10) will you be able to get a chair (on the weekends that is, not sure how it is on week days). With regards to the 2 major slides: I’m wondering why they don’t have a conveyor belt system to get those huge heavy tubes up the slides, since it’s a hassle to have people carry push and roll those up the metal stairs. Also, these 2 slides share 1 case of stairs. The left side is for the “blue” one the right for the “pink” one but there are no signs so that causes confusion and unnecessary wait. Just a few things that would make this place even better, all personnel seem students who are super helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.
Liz P — Google review
Our family loves this place! We’ve gone several years in a row and the slides they have are simply unmatched at other smaller parks we’ve looked into and visited! Your family is gonna have so much to do! Staff was nice as well. Line wait time is minimal. Perfect destination for a hot day!
Jessica Memer — Google review
It's a great place for kids and adults both. There's lots of different types of water activities depending on how adventurous you feel -- slides, wave pool, sprinkle pads for the kids, and then a lazy river if you just want to chill out a bit. The pools are all clean, but the bathroom was kind of nightmare fuel, so use the loo before you come.
On the weekend, the lines for various rides can get long. I wish the park would enforce rules about lines and queuing - people wade into the lazy river and are fairly aggressive about trying to get an inner tube, which is annoying.

Love it 😀. Could do without the smell of pot. Life guards could be a bit friendlier when dealing with children asking questions. Still a great park.
Frankies Fun Park is a lively establishment that offers various amusements for families and children. The center boasts expansive go-kart tracks, arcades, miniature golf course, batting cages, and rock climbing activities. Visitors can check out their website to view the full list of kid-friendly activities available. The park provides a wonderful experience with well-maintained facilities, fast go-karts on fun tracks, great quality equipment at the batting cage and helmets for safety.
We researched places to spend some time while on vacation and found Frankie’s Fun Park! We went after a substantial rain, so the Putt Putt Course still had some standing water, but we enjoyed our time so much that we decided to play both courses! They had a nice arcade inside and a refreshment counter. I would recommend Frankie’s if you’re looking for something fun to do!

Mini golf was fun, but we got stuck behind 3 groups that had 6-10 people in them.
*Super* crowded so we just played our round of mini golf and left.
Heidi Parent — Google review
Mini golf was awesome. Very reasonably priced and such a nice course. Although they didn't have moving obstacles all of the courses were challenging with the in ground parts! The cost is very reasonably priced $10 per person and we did not have to wait long for each hole. The arcade was pretty fun too but the ticket shop with all the prices was pretty lame and unamusing.

We had a ball! The pizza was great, buffalo wings and fries were great and the family time was priceless. And when it came to rock climbing...my baby made it to the top on the 3rd time and this was his first time.💛

Great place to go with the whole family. We loved the go karts and mini golf. Plenty of games inside when your ready to cool off. Great place to go hit some balls also in the batting cages.

It had been a while since I had been at Frankies but I can see they have been updating everything and it looks awesome. The staff is so awesome and sweet and is always willing to help! Mini golf was fun! Wayyyy better than Charleston Fun Park!!
Side note, I’m really glad that they have security to be honest. Regardless of what people say, it’s necessary to have police and security on deck at entertainment establishments especially nowadays. I also like the 10pm rule which can help cut down on unsupervised kids and makes it not a babysitting extravaganza, I’m just saying. :)
Keep it up!! We will definitely be back!!

My family and I came today for a visit while on vacation for the kids. We spent over $50 to get on the go karts and got drinks. They have a sign in front that states if they take your order and the cashier don't give you a receipt ask for a manager and you will get a $5 game card. The cashier had a nasty attitude while taking our order. My dad informed her about the sign that they have and that they have to honor it and they didn't want to honor it. The black girl with the long braids and glasses was very rude. The staff stand around and act clueless when we asked to speak with a manager. Took them at least 20 minutes to get a manager to honor it. The girl went outside to talk with her friends who were stationed at the go karts to work that area. We heard her talking about us telling the other associates what happened. Yes we looked and let it be known yes we hear you talking about us. We are paying customers paying customers is why you are in business and have a job. Please do better when hiring a team of teenagers that do not have good customer service skills. The manger finally came from the back to give us the $5 card and said he had to run the camera back to check as if my dad was lying. It wasn't about the $5 game card it was about how rude the cashier was at the counter. If we were to visit South Carolina again we will NOT be coming here to visit again. Very rude cashier. If they had name tags I would have mentioned her name. Please hire actual adults or at least young adults without horrible attitudes. Not a good look for your business.

Frankies fun park is one of the best local amusement parks in the area. They offer two mini golf courses, batting cages, bumper boats, a couple go car tracks. Frankie Fun Park is an excellent place for families. We played the 18hole golf course. It isn't fancy, but definitely fun. There is an arcade, gocarts, and much more. I was also impressed with how clean the entire park was. I definitely recommend Frankies for you and your whole family.

The mini golf course is fun. $10 per person for essentially 35 holes. Go carts are fun as well. The arcade though was quite disappointing. Any good game is $2 per play and a good chunk of them needed attention.

We got the batting cages, go carts, and mini golf. 3 and under are free with an adult, 36’’ and up can ride with passenger, 16 and up can ride alone. Mini golf course was nice-challenged g enough to not be all day. The batting cages you need someone there to explain how to adjust height of ball-didn’t realize it till later. No one was there when we went 2/11 around 1600. For go carts-everything was except the face and eyes full of dirt, I think safety google would be appropriate or a helmet with covering on face. I heard multiple people complain of stuff in their EYES.

North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center
The North Charleston Coliseum is a massive theater and home to the South Carolina Stingrays ice hockey team. It has hosted many musical acts, such as American Idol, America's Got Talent, jazz festivals, and a slew of performers.
We visited the coliseum to watch a Stingrays Hockey game. It was so fun. We arrived early and toured the stadium. Then we visited the concession area. The food and drinks were priced reasonably. The other spectators were friendly. The mascot was super cute. It was a very enjoyable night.

The outside of this building makes one thing roomy and spacious if you've never been in it. Not quite the case here. The seating is so tight that you are literally elbow to elbow and thigh to thigh. That being stated, I did not enjoy the Isley Brothers concert like I had planned to. I couldn't stand up because the people behind complained about not being able to see...understandable. I couldn't dance because there was no space. The people that were around me had no concert spirit. They didn't sing, scream or try to dance. I know next time I attend a concert here to get FLOOR SEATS.

The staff was very nice and the venue was keep at a nice temperature. We were there for two nights of awesome Billy Strings concerts. The only reason I give this 4 stars is not enough concessions stands around the concourse. There is one large room for concessions. That means if you are sitting on the far side of the venue, you have to go all the way around for food. There were a few drink stands around the concourse but so few that the lines were long. Other than that it was really fun.

The show "Crystal" was overall very good. Several times through they pointed the very bright stage lights at the audience so I couldn't actually see what was going on.

I have visited the North Charleston Coliseum on several occasions. One was for a StingRay hockey game and another time was for a high school graduation. This time I laughed all evening because I went there to see a comedian named Druski. It was a really good show and I'm always here for a good time! I didn't buy any refreshments from the concession stand, but I did ask a couple of audience members and they said it was $12 for a double shot of an alcoholic beverage. Druski also had merchandise for sale that you can purchase before the show. I really enjoyed the show and I like that there was a lot of event staff and security as well as law enforcement to guide you in the right direction. If you miss the woulda coulda Druski show you missed a good time! Try to catch the next one!

This place was great! Only about 2000 seats in the smallish well designed and acoustically fabulous concert hall. Purse was 1/4 “ over “the box” and we could not get in. Door person was extremely rude and seems to be known by everyone present. Others were allowing people in with MUCH LARGER BAGS!! So, the NC coliseum does not differentiate between standard and disabled seating. My wife bought 3 disabled access tickets for Fluffy, today 2/29. We get here and it's everything else, but nowhere near disabled access. As you see in the picture, no walker, wheelchair, or even a cane can get in there. Had to hand carry two large oxygen cylinders and my walker separately to get to my seat. Customer service was no help. The most they said they can do is move two of us to a different section, not all 3 of us, only two.

The events there are fun, but the North Charleston Coliseum and the staff are horrible. They forced you to dump out your water and then only one water fountain in the entire place works. The others were turned off! Yes they sold water at an up-charge of $5 for a 50 cent bottle. The soda is cheap. (Way to encourage obesity.) Not to mention the staff is completely unfriendly, unhelpful and crude. Almost seems like they go out of their way to be rude. The Harlem Globetrotters were great, as always!

Worst theater that I have ever attended in my life. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. If you are tall, overweight or have mobility issues, those chairs are not made to be comfortable. My sister and I were on the small size, and we felt squished and had no leg room. The price of the food was unacceptable. A bottle of water costs $5, and if you have dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, kosher, Halal) the food and snacks will not meet your dietary needs. If customers are not allowed to bring their snacks and drinks, then you need to accommodate for different dietary needs. This is unacceptable, and your theater knows better. Shame on your management. This theater is not worth attending. I recommend finding someplace else.

Mediocre venue at best. The sound in the Performing Arts Center is terrible. The seats are very small and very uncomfortable. No lighting at all on the aisles by the seats once house lights go down making it very difficult to find your seat. Security in the venue could be improved. Clean restrooms with many stalls. Easy parking with friendly parking attendants. Employees at the venue were helpful.

We went to the performing arts center for the Kevin Hart show and the experience was amazing. The place was very clean and the staff was amazing. One employee did try to double charge us for drinks, my husband ordered 2 double shot crown drinks and she tried to charge him $96. And then she tried to argue with me that that was the correct price, when we had already ordered this exact order and knew how much it should be.
We have visited the Center for hockey games and concerts. Easy to get to and parking is easy. Love coming for the hockey games. The staff is friendly. There was an outdoor musical event going on while we walked to the game. It was a nice atmosphere. And bonus, each time we've gone to a hockey game, the Stingrays have won. 🏒😊

Had not been here in a good long time - several years anyways! To the coliseum segment anyways - Just to be clear, this is about the coliseum and NOT about Performing Arts Center even tho right there also.
The coliseum venue was much smaller than I remembered! Which was actually a good thing because really, any and all seats in here would have been good!
Restrooms were very clean and kept up with!
There are many food stands inside - even a small actual food court! And with prices of $4 for coffee and $8 for a specialty burger, incredibly inexpensive for a concert venue!
Summary - If choosing between seeing an artist here or at another venue in a relatively nearby city, I would pick here without hesitation!

1st indoor R&B concert since pandemic started and illness. 1st time at this venue buy not my last. Great acoustics. Clean. Lovely. No monitors but every seat is great. Kinda in trouble when everyone stands up. I need to be in accessible section so I could not see when people stood at the artists request, which was for every song. Lol. So I left mid concert. But thoroughly enjoyed the part I could stand to see. Would highly recommend a concert at this venue!

Nice venue located along the Ashley River. Average beer quite frankly. Friendly and helpful bar staff. Pizza truck on site offers good pizza. No air conditioning so be aware on hot days.

My wife and I were looking for someplace to get a beer after visiting Magnolia Plantation. We found this place on the internet and decided to try it. There are absolutely no signs to lead you into the place, you just have to trust your GPS! Once you find it, you will love this brewery. With a fantastic view of the Ashley River and great tasting beer at very reasonable prices, you can't go wrong. If we lived locally, this would be a weekly hangout.

This place is so great! The location is beautiful, overlooking the marsh, and the people are very friendly. We had two flights, and loved every single one of our beers. Great setting, great vibes, and great brews! Can’t wait to go back.

Not many breweries offer a marsh view and wildlife to soak up along with the beer. Beautiful covered patio and space.
Green Door IPA is one of the best beers in the area and this place is a must visit.

I loved this place, the beer was amazing!!! They had some great sours. This is a small operation, only one bartender and only one unisex bathroom. The taproom was very spacious and they had a lot of outdoor space, off the beaten path, but well worth it!

Wow it's been a minute since we've been to Freehouse and whoa, the upgrades are stupendous. Inhouse wood fired pizza, great beer as always, much larger patio now with a screened in area, and new wood furniture and bar. 10/10 would recommend. Bring bugspray though!

Really cool brewery off the beaten path. Kind of hard to find, but well worth it. Very good beer especially there Sourlina Peche beers, with the Blueberry being my favorite. The lone bartender was friendly and quick, despite the place being busy. Organic beers to boot.

This place was an absolute VIBE. Feels like you're driving into nothing and then it just pops up. Great wood aesthetic and great beer. More lagers darks, and sours compared to IPAs. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender, and a gorgeous view (no filter).
Northwoods Mall is a vast indoor shopping center that offers an extensive array of stores, a food court with various dining options, and a children's play area. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll around the mall by starting on the right-hand side and completing their journey on the left-hand side while exploring different shops along the way. The dining area provides ample seating for customers to enjoy their meals comfortably.
Came into Northwoods with the intentions of shopping at Snipes but their customer service just wasn’t there. Then I walked into Southern Pure and they completely made up for my experience at Snipes. Amber was so knowledgeable on all of their products and helped me find what I was looking for. I will definitely be coming back.

The waiter was amazing as was the manager whom checked on us several times. The food was not nearly as good as any of us remember. The lasagna was on the dry side, and the linguini was over cooked. All of the food came to the table warm at best. Excellent support staff just need to improve on the dishes it will be a while before we return.
Tess Ann — Google review
Malls aren't what they used to be and Northwoods is an example of that. Aside from the event in 2021 that was the beginning of the end, it's been a decline.
I was here for the Planet Fitness which is doing well.
And yes, there are still shops here. Belt, JCPenney, Dillard's for now. I'm surprised that Books-A-Million is still around with more people on kindles and kids not reading as much. But sure. Here it is. Catch it while you can.

The women's bathroom by the food court was flooding In one of the stalls to the others, so I tried to take my youngest to the family bathrooms, and we walked in on a couple (doing it) I shouldn't see that, and definitely not my kids. So no good bathrooms, and the stores, especially JCPENNEY smell like sour clothes REALLY bad. Book store is pretty nice

It is always easy to park. It still has a few decent anchor stores, but some of the other stores are very random. The last visit, the restrooms were unbelievably dirty. To the point we had to leave because my child needed to go so bad and I would not let him use it. I also didn't want to risk trying to find another restroom inside the mall and it be the same or worse.

This mall is pretty good! My buddy and I go there often because it has a good variety of stores and some decent food options. It has a good atmosphere for younger families in my opinion. Overall great place to go if you're just gonna hang with some friends!

Bald head mall cop that works the lot is a c***. He lets any car besides mine park where they want. However if my car is out there parked across the lines he bring cops into the gym. It’s cause he drives a mini van and has no hair. I hope someone gives him what he deserves some day 🫶 prime example. Dudes big truck has been here over a hour. Yet I can’t even get out of my car before he’s outside harassing me. He jealous of me 😅🤣

It's nice and still lots of businesses there. Eating the food at the mall is something I don't do anymore because I've been in and seen the kitchens the food is cooked in and that's all I'm going to say.
Charlie's restaurant is great the until my daughter's drink had about 20 fruit flies in it which happens when you don't clean the fountain the soda comes out of.
I get some great shoes at Champs and Footlocker.

It doesn't please me to opine that this mall I visited as a kid is SO dead. Apparently, security/crime is a problem.
Not a surprise. This area is vulnerable to the small number of people that give North Charleston a bad reputation...
ATTENTION! THERE IS CURRENTLY SOME SORT OF CHAPERONE REQUIRED FOR "UNATTENDED UNDER 18 KIDS."
A sign had a lot of rules for the place.
I would check to see more details, if that's a possible issue...
Overall, the mall was pretty dead. Multiple stores were closed/nothing. Pretty quiet. Actually a great mall, for people who don't like huge crowds. Although I'm sure the Holliday season changes that...
There are some decent places to eat, in and around the mall, and a Planet Fitness.
Tangier Outlets are clearly the far better option for someone looking for a big shopping experience. Better everything...
Still, an "effective" mall. You can shop at a variety of mostly clothing stores, get your glasses/contacts, work out, grab a bite, or sit down at one of the many restaurants that aren't in the decent food court...
Bottom line. These types of "big box" retailers are all going to be gone soon. If you prefer shopping in person to internet bovine excrement, we have to enjoy these dying malls, whilst we can.
Peace n love.

I get such a negative feeling from this place. There are a lot of pop-up scammy kiosks all over, which is concerning. I haven't been all over the mall, I've only taken a pretty direct route to Victoria's Secret because the one at the Citadel Mall closed, but I have visited the food court and it's pretty disgusting. The tables are all filthy. ALL of the tables are all filthy. The children's play area is an abomination. There are layers upon layers of grime on the furniture and stationary toys, and the couches are torn up. The carpet is disgusting as well. I walked right past it with the little one I had with me because I took one look and just said absolutely not. It legit feels terrible to see places like this fall into disrepair. A well-paid janitorial and maintenance staff could turn this place around somewhat easily before it's too late. The owner should consider lowering their profits in the present to continue earning them in the future. Pay your workers well and hire enough staff.

Holy Flood! Rain created impassable entry/exit ways in parking lot. Water was up to top of tires. One of the drainage grates looked like a black hole forming.

This shopping mall needs an UP in publicity, and create more events on site, set up a large closed and air-conditioned tent to welcome international singers to perform their shows.
William Oliveira — Google review
This mall is actually very big it has pretty much every store you need in there. It really doesn't look like much on the outside but the moment you walk inside it branches off all sorts of ways in their long hallways. There's a cute little boutique in there that has awesome clothes.

One thing I find so funny is everyone still complains about COVID but we have stuff like this in the mall. And people actually use it
Michael Dolan — Google review
It was the scariest mall I have ever been to!! Security was no existing, and there were people breaking glass windows and popping balloons in the walkways. It's very dirty and dark. Lots for food places have closed and not a good selection. You know it's bad when Chick -fil-a leaves due to an un safe work environment.
Adrienne Harvey — Google review
The women's bathroom is in a poor state with dirty toilets, used toilet paper, and an unpleasant odor that makes it challenging to use. The clogged toilets and muddy floor add to the unpleasantness of the experience. Please remember to flush the toilet and dispose of toilet paper properly to help maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the bathroom.
Rusty Bull Brewing Co. is a great brewery that offers an up-to 14 tap list of beers, indoor and outdoor seating, snacks, and great music. This brewery does a great job with flavor without overpowering the taste, which makes it a great place to visit if you are in the area.
Had a great time here for a friends birthday! The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone liked most of the beers they tried, and the food was delicious! Throwing axes was a lot of fun, we’ll definitely be back!

The hazy ipa “ juice juice “ was enjoyable. The food, not so much . First off, ALL of it came out cold. And then, we were only able to eat the first layer of the loaded tots bc they were literally swimming in grease. I asked the bartender about this, and he said it’s normal. It’s disgusting. Check the pics (2 &3) . The fried green tomatoes were good, but came out cold as well. The chicken sandwiches were good, but one was burnt. You can see in the 5th picture the breading is damn near black. With a 4.7 rating I was very disappointed with the food. The kitchen needs help bad.

Nice venue. Friendly staff.
I popped in for lunch and got the hot honey chicken sandwich and loaded potato salad. Really good. Sandwich was much better than i expected for something so simple.
Beers are understated but really enjoyable. Too many craft breweries focus on overpowering the taste. These guys do a great job with flavor without losing the beer.
If you are in the area, kick in and enjoy a great brewery.

The gentleman hosting trivia was great! A young bartender with an earring and glasses took my order. My meal was $21.72 or 21.62 and I handed him $22. I waited for my change when he started taking another order. When I asked for my change he snarkily replied "Oh we dont give change". I was really bothered by his attitude. Halfway through my meal a cockroach scurried across the booth towards my friend.

Hands down one of my favorite stops during my trip to South Carolina. Amazing selection of delicious microbrews. All of my drinks were amazing. Great prices. Right on par with the beer was their food. This is hit or miss at most breweries but these folks nailed it. Bonus, I happened to come on a night they had live music.

8/20/23 - Save your money, go to McDonald’s across the street instead. What looks like the main door is locked while staff and customers are inside and clearly not interested in helping customers enter. Finally entered through a unmarked random door on the other side of the building that is under construction. Waitress was short and uninterested. Ridiculous pricing. $50 for burnt chicken tenders and burnt chicken sandwich. “Potato Salad” is a baked potato scrambled in crazy amount of sour cream. Oil from frying is obviously not changed. Portions are extremely small. Throw some spring mix in the basket and pretend it is good! Didn’t bother getting a beer at these prices. Want my money back from this experience.

Fun Brewery to hang out at! They have some yard games to play on nice days and are throwing is in the same building (different company runs it). The beers were unique, some were better than others. The service was pretty good, not the most cheerful bartenders but everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay.

Went to downtown brewery.
Not a brewery for serious beer drinkers. Set up to take advantage of the local college kids.
Over priced with fair (to bad) service. Only carry the trendy styles, and quality is marginal at best. If you’re looking for a real brewery with good beer I’d avoid.
North Charleston's Commonhouse Aleworks is a new brewery with a focus on producing easy-to-drink, tasty beers. The taproom and patio are popular gathering spots for locals young and old, and the food here is top notch.

After dinner, we made a quick stop here when we saw there was live music on their large and inviting patio. I grabbed a beer and we grabbed a couple of Adirondack chairs with a good view of the stage. It was a fun, family atmosphere with a wide range of ages enjoying the show. The beer was decent, but the large space with lots of seating and a covered area with picnic tables gets the crowd in. It's a fun spot to hang out and enjoy a brew and a band.

Very cool hipster atmosphere. Friendly service and overall good ( not great) beer. 100% worth a trip if you are into the brewery scene. My wife and I did two flights which give you a good variety of options. I’ll certainly go back . They also offer canned take away. However unlike most breweries, they offer a variety pack of 4 different cans so you don’t have to buy 4 of the same . Most breweries do not do this

Commonhouse Aleworks is one of the things we love most about visiting this part of South Carolina. It's got a great laid-back vibe with an incredibly tasty lineup of beers. (Most recently they took part in the brewing of the collaboration beer, Black is Beautifu). As for the vibe, you'll often find really great live music up on the stage. The staff is super friendly and eager to help you choose something you'll enjoy. And while a lot of the locals walk or ride their bikes, you can find easy street parking just a short walk around the brewery. This is one of out top picks for places to visit in Park Circle and the Charleston area. We can't wait to return.

I feel bad for the workers though. The security and Allied Security are great people. My point is, with a more expensive university like this, the money goes into the buildings and parties than with some of the workers and classes there. That's why theres no growth of positive christian energy: the 'leaders' above the workers refuse to look at the livelihood of them. There are plenty of games and playful activities. But I'm more for the people and knowledge than silly activities taking the profit away from those who need to keep up with societies shift and changes. They ignore problems school wise and fills you with all this fancy stuff. Everyone has skeletons I suppose, but its severely wrong in my eyes to ignore situations that need to be confronted as adults, not people with suits to sit at a desk. People in charge should not act like those in the speech of "Pillars of Indifference". Dont ignore problems you should handle WWJD
This school just uses money and donations for greed, nothing more.

For Tim Scott, it all starts in North Charleston — his life, conservative beliefs, education, political career and, soon, a long-anticipated 2024 Republican presidential campaign.
Scott will formally launch his White House bid today at Charleston Southern University, delivering the news in his hometown and college alma mater. He filed his official federal election declaration paperwork Friday.
He will then turn his attention to important early voting states, traveling to Iowa on Wednesday and New Hampshire the next day.

Absolutely horrible communication with the finance and admin departments that cost us thousands. Dorms are moldy and spider infested. Professors cancel class often or go online while charging traditional class rate. Very nice school. Beautiful campus. When I toured, Met some very nice people. However, speaking on the phone with some of the staff about some classes, admissions, and a few professors I spoke with were downright rude, the admissions advisor kept interrupting me while I was asking questions, wouldn’t answer half of them and kept sighing as if I was bothering him with my questions.. it makes me wonder how they treat students..

The Carolina Ice Palace is an extremely popular ice skating rink with a wide range of activities for children of all ages. There are basic ice-skating lessons to help pupils gain confidence, followed by figure-skating classes and junior ice-hockey lessons. The rink is very affordable and the staff are very helpful. There is also a small bay of lockers available for patrons to store their belongings.
First time ever Ice skating, myself and my kids.. It was a good time. Lots of laughs & family friendly fun. Love how the lights were off and the music was on. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again soon.

The idea of having an ice skating rink is awesome. It is a 2-1/2 hour drive there and another 2-1/2 hours back. But we had fun. The rink was crowded. So that made the experience a little not so great. The cleaning of the environment is not that great either. Its not bad but its not great. The prices are amazing. Finally we find an affordable activity. The staff is mostly younger adults and when the place is busy they are doing a great job. I give them many props for the work they are putting in. This place would be even better if it was larger to accommodate the crowds they get. We will go back for another adventure.

Police skate for free, rentals included so this ace is great. Wish they had more public skating hours, but awesome place to go. 40 degrees inside when it's like 100 outside definitely helps in south Carolina. Haven't gotten the chance to go to a theme night yet, but they look pretty fun

It is a very cheap place to go to and they offer both figure skates and hockey skates. There are a lot of children, but most of them are fantastic at Ice skating. The line to turn in our gear can get very long, but it usually moved pretty fast. There is also the option to host a birthday party at the Ice palace, and you can order pizza from them. The pizza isn't the greatest, but definitely edible.

My girlfriend and I did not have a decent experience here.
To start, I pre-purchased tickets online and they had this sign in the picture below which we we’re looking for but we didn’t see any other signs so we had to wait in the General admission line which was long and totally unacceptable.
Long line to get ice skates as well. The skates were not good either with the shoe lace style. Also forgot to mention, they do not have half sizes so you’ll either have a too big or too small skate if you are in the half size range like me.
For the icing on the cake, the ice rink was overcrowded (for it being the weekend and with only two hours to skate). A LOT of kids were using the skate masters making it hard to maneuver.
I understand this is the only rink in/near the Charleston area, but there needs to be changes for anyone that has sporting practice or events to alleviate the amount of people wanting to public skate at this place. If you go here, bring your own skates, get there early, and prepare to avoid a lot of people on the ice!!

Staff is super nice. Mobile use online system is so so. We arrived at opening and my 15 year old commented that the restrooms and common areas were gross. Looks like this place needs a deep clean and regular cleaning attention. Good price for the quality of facility and skates. Would come back again but hesitant to use the restrooms.

Ok we only get 2hrs of “public skate”. Spent 45min in line to get skates! I’m sure the fire marshal is not going to approve of the masses of people on the ice. No oversight, no safety, people getting hurt all over the place. AND they lost my shoes. Run by teenagers! What a disaster this place is.

Nice double ice rink in North Charleston, SC. In fact, I think it's the only one in the roughly 60-minute drive radius of this area. Two standard side rings, food court, plenty of exercise space in the fitness center and upstairs, and benches to watch the games for the stingrays or watch figure skating competitions. Well-organized for the NQS competition this year and plenty of volunteers upfront if you have questions. It's definitely hot outside, but nice and cool inside. A bar in the back called the penalty box.

The customer service at the food and the skate rental place is not pleasant. The girl working there has a poker face that never smiles and everytime you ask her a question she answers in a whisper. You can't tell what she's saying and she just startes at you expecting a response. She looks at the customer up and down doesn't look like she's trying at all. This is my first time writing a bad review but it's happened multiple times and I think it would be beneficial if the some employees had tall about customer service.

Hands down the best and only rink in the Charleston area. Having a restaurant/bar in between rinks is so clutch, and the bar staff is very nice. Pro shop has decent gear for players but slim pickens for goalies, with the exception of sticks. Locker rooms are sizable for the most part and bathroom showers stalls are hot and private (IYKYK).

Would no longer suggest going here, public skate is only open pretty much two-three days for a grand total of 8 or so hours(8 hours the entire week, not per day.)
Used to be great, but now that public skate is no longer a thing, what's the point of having a public ice skating rink?
Monkey Joe's - North Charleston is a series of indoor play spaces that cater to children. These play areas include arcade games, concessions, and inflatables for kids to enjoy. The play center has designated areas for children aged three years and under, with adults allowed in all bounce houses to assist young kids as needed. With ample space and fun activities suitable for young children, Monkey Joe's - North Charleston provides a great time for families looking for an entertaining indoor activity option.
Our two year old had the time of his life here. When we first arrived it wasn’t too crowded yet; even though it was rainy out. He got to try out all the big kids slides and with a little help managed to get to the top and slide down. Once the crowd kicked in and the older kids were running wild we moved over to the 3 and under play area. It only has a single entrance and exit so once they’re in there they don’t really need you and you can just wait for them to pop back out. Adults are allowed in all of the bounce houses to help young kids get around if need be.
Patrick Roberson — Google review
There was a wait at the entrance while everyone had to sign waivers. They have a smaller bounce house area for kids under 3, and also a room turned into a play area for younger kids, with blocks and toys. My kids enjoyed the 4 bounce houses (with slides and obstacle courses) and wore themselves out for a couple of hours. The restrooms could use a good cleaning, as could the carpet in the entire place, but the staff was friendly and helpful and we will return!

Great place to let the kids rip, run, jump and collide! Lots of space and obstacles. Comfortable spots for parents to observe.

Loved this place. The prices are low, the inflatables are clean and well-maintained for kids and toddlers. Love the toddler area with bounce house and small slide and the bigger slides as well. Make sure you attend to kids to avoid any injury.

I can go on and on about my experience at this location because the experience was so good. We went on a Friday afternoon before the crowd comes in but it was so much fun. This facility has a little something for everyone. I have a 4 year old and a infant. I met the owner of this establishment and he is so down to earth and very welcoming. I love that they have a room exclusively for the little ones infants and toddlers that in itself won me over. If you are looking for somewhere to take you kids to burn off some energy pop in and let them bounce around for a bit.

This place is great for kids 3 and up. However, there's little seating near the bigger attractions, and the employees don't enforce the no running rule. I take the kids I work with here once every summer and it's a constant argument of 'well they are running why can't I?' It's a necessary rule in the small spaces between bounce houses. Also, employees do not actively monitor the 3 & under bounce house, so bigger kids get in and knock the little ones around. Just a couple honest observations.
Overall, though, I love this place for our kids at work. If your child is generally well behaved and energetic, Monkey Joe's is fantastic. :)
The Duck Pond is a nice little public park near the Olde Village Business District that is great for a picnic or just a walk. The park has a few vending machines where you can get food for the ducks and geese, but bread isn't good for them so be sure to bring something else instead.
Love stopping here to view the pond with all the wildlife. This is our old childhood neighborhood with many memories.

This is a great place to walk around the duck pond, relax on a bench and meditate. Bring your kids as they will love to feed the ducks, geese, and swans that hang out here.its free and offers a relaxing experience for us to unwind from the real world. And if you get hungry while there, The Park Circle are offers a variety of places.

Cute Park Circle neighborhood pond and park to take the family and dog for a walk. We love feeding ducks and geese year round. It's always nice to see a new batch of baby geese. Several concrete benches sprinkled through out and under beautiful old oak trees. The pond is a short walk from Park Circle center and businesses off Spruill Avenue. It could be a nice place for a picnic at one of the concrete tables but there are no drinking fountains or restrooms. A small playground and some dredging of the pond (super shallow from years of build up) along with restrooms would make this park perfect.

The ducks are just trying to earn a living. The geese are strutting around, pretending that they are swans, but they are not. Their Canadian cousins are stopping traffic to cross the street when they can clearly fly. A bunch of other rando birds are just hanging around. Any self-respecting loon would steer clear of this place, but it’s a nice spot for a walk. Oh, they have turtles too.

this park needs alot of attention. Mayor doesn't care anything abt this part of town. pictures shows just how much he cares.

It’s not a big park but that is part of what makes it so great, it’s never too busy and has plenty of parking. I love the water and all the beautiful birds that chill here. I definitely recommend going out to this park if you fill like seeing a bit of nature and catching a breath of fresh air. P.S. don’t forget to bring your camera.

Wonderful little park, great for a picnic or just a walk. I love coming here with my partner to feed the geese and ducks. There are a few vending machines where you can get food for them for 25¢ or you can bring food with you. Remember bread isn't good for birds, instead being grapes, peas, oats, or something similar.

It's a beautiful little Park. You'll come across little ducks Turtles white geese regular geese. The only complaint that I have is the edible food dispenser is completely empty. There's two of them located but they are completely up to the last time I was there. But this would quarter it would dispense a handful of food for the animals. Very nice walk around the little Lake. Lots of shade. In a very nice variety of flowers. Would like a nice walk this is a great place to go

Quite simple park. There are several shaded benches. I loved feeding the ducks. I only wish people would read the signs. Please bring quarters and feed the ducks the food provided. DO NOT FEED THEM HUMAN FOOD.

Lovely little park! It’s great there’s now a small food-dispenser: for a quarter, you can buy a handful of “bird friendly” food pellets. Since those funds help support the park, it’s a win-win-win situation!

Quarterman Park or the duck pond at Park circle as we've always referred to it was beautiful! There were nice cool shady places to sit and relax and watch the ducks even on a hundred degree day. The gardener who is looking after the plants is doing an excellent job from the wild flowers to the elephant ears everything was gorgeous. I enjoyed walking around the perimeter of the lake and then relaxing in the shade.
