Marconi Beach is a picturesque and popular beach located on the outer Cape Cod. It offers scenic hiking paths, a bicycle trail, and an observation platform for visitors to enjoy. The beach is named after famous Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi who chose this area due to its elevated barren landscape to set up his wireless communication station.
Beautiful beach and amazing parking. The beach has bathrooms and water available. There are a lot of steps that go down to the beach, so be prepared for that. It is fun to play in the ocean and there’s so a lot of sand and relatively few rocks! Go! The beach is huge!

I surely recommend this beach to others. I go every summer to Cape Cod and this beach is one of the traditions. The waves can be very harsh at points but are great for swimming and surfing. The bathrooms don't have the best quality, like most beaches. I found large mosquitoes in the stalls. Make sure you expect a crowd of people. Otherwise, this beach is great for Cape Cod locals or anybody!👍

Beautiful and clean beach. Lots of deep sand. Only downfall is the steps (6 flights) to get down to beach and back up to parking. Lots of parking. Seals can be seen in the water. Showers and dogs are allowed.
Bonnie Curry — Google review
Good amount of parking and the sand was super soft! We also saw several large seals only a few feet off the coast which was really cool.

This is one of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches. If you don't want to be surrounded by a lot of people all you need to do is take a short walk in either direction once you descend the stairs and you'll find only sea lions playing in the ocean. Solitude and the sound of the crashing waves makes a visit to this beach magical.
Patrice Tomaso — Google review
This is the prettiest of the beaches I saw in Cape Cod and has a storied history, being the place from which the first transatlantic radio message was sent. The parking is free and the trails are well-maintained. There is a very nice high platform to take pictures.

Beautiful beach. We came here hoping to see a few shark fins, unfortunately (or not) it wasn't the day to see them. Anyhow there was a great view and a seal swam right up to where we were standing with our feet in the water.

Amazing views and miles of sandy beach. There are plenty of seals to watch here also. You need a sticker to park but we like to come after 5 pm because it is free to park. Plus it is like you have the place to yourself. A great beach either way!

Visited this beach twice while on vacation. Great beach to hang out for the day! The view is amazing and we enjoyed watching the seals that kept swimming by. The rocks that wash up can really hurt your feet and ankles so be careful when entering and exiting the water! Also make sure you bring your bug spray to keep the sand flies from biting you.
We also loved the hiking trails and the overlooks!
Melissa Brooks — Google review
Hike from the car! Only take what you want to bring back up a couple flights of stairs! But listening to the rocks roll in the waves is fantastic 🥰 we also saw 2 seals? Sea lions hanging out in the water 😮😎 they were there for the entire 3-4 hours

Wow. AmAYYzing.
If you like waves, wow.
Bring the protective shoes for there are many small rocks and pebbles.
Water was 62°F. But once in, you adapt fast to the cold water temp.
Saw 1 seal from far 😅
Other than that WOW wow wow
Loveeeeeeed it

Sandy! And windy!
But absolutely worth it!
I was pleasantly surprised by the visit to Cape Cod on a wet and rainy day. Even in inclement weather Cape Cod and Marconi Beach is definitely worth a visit.
Let the sand penetrate you sandals, the wind clean your hair, and the rain rinse the grime and mental dirt of your preoccupied mind - Marconi Beach is great destination in all weather

Very beautiful beach located at the bottom of a hill. We saw a whale and some seals swimming really close to the beach, the only thing missing was the sharks 😆. Parking is paid ($20/day) and there are showers, toilets and changing rooms.
Fun little trail, nothing too challenging but not wheelchair accessible, at least that I saw. Good for killing an hour or two. The boardwalk is rather enchanting, its a quiet peaceful walk with some seats to sit and relax. It’s also FREE!

A lovely walk through the woods. Worth the hike if you’re in the area.

This is one of my favorite places to reconnect with nature in the Fall. On windy days it's protected from the wind and sunlight filters through the swamp in an enchanting way. Siting peacefully on one of the benches under the overhanging trees you can hear the forest around you echoing and you can smell the swamp as the leaves gather around you, it's easy to lose time if you allow it to go. For those having trouble locating the trail it's located in the Marconi overlook parking lot just off Rt.6.

Nice path. Only takes 20 minutes and is shaded. The boardwalk is a lot longer than I thought it would be. Well worth the effort if you enjoy the outdoors.

What a great hike. It was relatively easy and I took both of my aunts (one was 78 and the other 74). Both were OK with the hike.
The middle part of the hike was a board walk, which was a treat. We also encountered a mycologist working around the field looking for an elusive mushroom not seen in over 100 years !
He believed that it could be found here at this hiking trail. So be on the look out for it !
The Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a 1000-acre reserve that boasts woodlands, beach, heath and salt marshes with an extensive trail network spanning five miles. Visitors can enjoy the region's most dramatic scenery, including sugar-sand dunes and surfable waves along the Atlantic side while finding peace and quiet on the understated Cape Cod Bay side.
This was a really nice stop if you like serene outdoor settings and a nice stroll on shaded paths. There are longer hiking trails also. Didn't see too many birds in the early afternoon, but there were lots of turtles sunning themselves, a stork flew by, and saw turkeys.
Sandi — Google review
One of the truly wonderful environments on the entire Cape with a number of easily walkable trails. There is also an excellent visitor/education center. Admission gratis for Audubon members and very reasonable for non-members. (Note - suggest bringing insect repellent during times when there are a lot of mosquitoes about. This is the case with many wooded venues on the Cape.) Together with the National Seashore, one of the “must-see” places in Eastham-Wellfleet.
Paul Nakazawa — Google review
Friendly people and great nature... Saw some awesome wildlife such as crabs, a black racer snake, geese, wild turkeys, fish and lot's of birds.

Visit today, tomorrow, and often. John James Audubon would be proud of this “gold standard” of Audubon sanctuaries and nature centers!
Trails are well-marked and clear and beautiful! Tons of birds and wildlife abounds! We saw baby diamondback terrapin turtles, too! They were as small as a penny!
On the water, we saw tons of fiddler crabs, gulls, yellowlegs, sandpipers, and more.
Signage is clear to get in. Reception is organized. Center is very well-staffed with knowledgeable folks.
Inside the center, there were glass aquariums with local fish and wildlife and educational commentary, TVs with information and interactive exhibits, spots to watch the “backyard birds” at their feeders and even binoculars for you to try.
Can’t wait to return next time we are in the area.

This is a lovely place to walk and go birding. We are Mass Audubon members and joined a walk with a naturalist that was quite informative. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day for a talk around their bird feeders. Recommend you visit as well as become a member to support this organization.
Alice Lee — Google review
One of my favorite places to go. The bird watching is top notch and the hikes are beautiful. It's such a peaceful and healing place.
The walk out to the cape side ocean is great at low tide but can be tricky at high tide. The inner bay walk is my favorite.
Nicholas Roth — Google review
Definitely my favorite place to explore tidal marsh habitats without getting out in the canoe. The trails here offer a great view at low tide, complete with an insane number of fiddler crabs and mud snails. Out at the end of the boardwalk where it terminates in the bay there are usually great opportunities to spot wading birds of all sorts, mostly yellowlegs and peep species with the occasional egret or heron tagging along. The trails that don't lead to the bay showcase the local pine barren habitat and also provide good birding opportunities. Inside the visitor center they have several tanks with native fish and invertebrates.
I would absolutely recommend this place for families, as the trails out to the water are not a very long walk and take you through some beautiful areas. They'll also appreciate the animals on exhibit inside!
Elizabeth Rawlings — Google review
Always my favorite place to visit mid-cape for a nature walk. A choice of beautiful trails and countless kinds of birds to see and hear, as well as other types of wildlife in a beautiful salt marsh habitat. The visitor center is beautiful and has some fascinating exhibits. The staff is so helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. Worth the visit!

Great place to walk the well maintained trails and look for birds. Very nice nature center.

Great place for hiking and viewing wildlife. The Visitor Center was closed, so keep your eye on the time and posted hours if you want to stop in. Place is well-marked and has a number of platforms, boardwalks, and such to take a stop and listen. Boardwalk trail was exciting seeing all the crabs (at low tide), but I imagine it can get muddy around those parts at times. We didn't stay super long but enjoyed the trails and sights. Bring bug spray.

Wonderful; did the hike to the bay during low tide. Seeing what was on the 'floor' was amazing. Great boarldwalk to go over the wet marshy area. Stunning.

This is such a cute place to explore on the Cape!! We got rained on pretty badly but we still had a great time exploring the trails until we got too soaked lol. A wonderful sanctuary with all kinds of diverse trails and things to see.
Erin Kimberly — Google review
Always getting there at the beginning of low tide, so that we will have plenty of time wandering down to the trail stretching it’s way to the ocean, look for thousands of fiddler crabs along the way, there was an army of them, fun to make a loud stomping sound to make them disappear into the mud and stand still waiting for their resurface, museum activities in summer are great for both kids and adults!
Linda — Google review
Great place to take nature walks. Lots of different hikes, some wooded with a stream, others open and going out to the sea.
Mike Katz — Google review
A beautiful place to explore. I recommend doing a guided walk with one of the naturalists to learn about the interwoven lives of the inhabitants of this carefully preserved spot. Thank goodness for Mass Audubon and other organizations who preserve special places and make them available to the public.
Carole Fisher — Google review
There’s a Discovery Center at the parking lot, and then a big open area of mixed terrain. Walk around a pond with some toads, turtles and dragonflies- or walk way out to the beach and find some seabirds and crabs.
Great Island is across the inlet and that’s a nice hike too (but an all day thing (and hot on the beach sand))
The far side of the sanctuary is woodland with a lot of scrappy pines. We’ve seen a Pileated woodpecker in there, and there’s a field that swallows frequent.

Beautiful main building with fish tanks and educational information for all. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Loved the trails: beach side, woods, creekside, many to walk. Loved the Audubon shop!
Great Island Trail, located within Cape Cod National Seashore, boasts over eight miles of diverse trails through woods, marshes and beaches. The trail offers a unique experience as hikers can begin on the beach and then transition to wooded areas, all while hearing the sound of the ocean in the background. Reviews rave about the balance between forest vistas and beach views, although caution that hiking through sand is more challenging than expected.
Really nice hike, mostly sand paths so plan your footwear accordingly. Some of the paths weren't marked the best but they really didn't need to be when you're just following the beach.

Beautiful area to hike and see the gorgeous Wellfleet scenery! I like going on a nice breezy day! If you're in town, you need to check it out.

Beautiful area, lots to explore. The walk over the narrow strip of land to the island can be hard to navigate at high tide unless you're OK with getting your feet wet.

Went there for the poor dead whale… not easy walk on the soft sand but beautiful. Stunning sunset!

Amazing not crowded trail through dunes with breathtaking views of the ocean with secluded beach that stretches for miles. You could take your dog there for part of it as there is a point where dogs are forbidden due to nesting birds.

Give yourself lots of time because the trails are sandy and steep at times. Worth the effort to get to such a beautiful and pristine place.

So beautiful! We discovered this place by accident just driving around. Gorgeous marsh and low waters. Primarily for hiking although we saw 1 kayaker at high tide. Wear closed toed shoes because there is a lot of salt hay lining the paths.

My wife and I took a 3 mile round trip along the Great Island Trail which is part of the National Seashore. This area has awesome views of the ocean and what looks like miles of deserted beaches. During the summer months it can get pretty warm, so I suggest being water.

Great November hike for a sunny day. Lots of dogs, will be walking on soft sand for parts of it.
Meg Durcan — Google review
There were many great reviews for this trail and I csn definitely understand why. The trail is simply breathtaking.
There's a nice balance between trees and forest vistas vs the beach and ocean. The hike through sand is definitely harder than it sounds and looks. The hike is about 4 to 9 miles give or take depending which trail you follow. We took the shorter trail as we were with novice hikers.
I will definitely be back to hike the longer trail next time.

Spectacular views. Lots of wildlife in the water and on the water line. It was a fun hike. Had to ditch the shoes and go barefoot because the sand was so deep at points. Very scenic hike. Moderate hike only due to the elevation changes. Best kept secret of cape cod!

Beautiful breathtaking spot for a hike or stroll of some of the most scenic sites of Cape Cod’s dunes, seaside forests, and bayside beaches! After the 1st visit you’ll want to return to this majestic place!
Thomas Kalinoski — Google review
Beautiful views of the bay from tall dunes. Go at low tide so you can explore more once you get to the tip. Good to bring shoes even though most of it I was barefoot on sand there's a lot through the woods.
Beautiful views of the coast. You also see the effects of erosion. Signage tells about the effects of nature and ties it in to how the towers here were quickly in jeopardy of falling into the ocean. Interesting fact how lives were saved from the Titanic disaster by the radio signals relayed by the station. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed here when we visited. The plus was since we came in October, our visit was free.
Mark Smith — Google review
A really nice overlook though sadly almost all the original towers have decayed and are now gone. I went here as a youngster and remember several towers were still in the property though had fallen over. There are no pets allowed. When we went in early October the rest rooms were still open even after closing time.

I have visited the Marconi Wireless Station site for the past 20 years. Unfortunately, the pavilion was claimed by weather and erosion a couple of years ago, but it’s still a great place to visit, and learn about history on the Cape! Beautiful vista of the national seashore can easily be seen from a wheelchair accessible area.
James Fox — Google review

And the ruins of the tower show the changes of time.

Beautiful. Great opportunity to learn a little about Marconi (wish there was more info) and take some amazing photos. We also went across the parking lot to the white oak swamp trail. Very cool. A 1 mile loop through a very cool looking swamp area where you walk on a beautiful boardwalk. No cost to park or hike so a great way to spend a morning.
Anthony Sacco — Google review
This is a great place to take a walk, see the ocean and learn a little history. There are a couple of walkways and viewing areas with interesting signage telling about both Marconi and the local environment. You can also walk on the White Cedar Swamp Trail from this parking lot. Bathrooms are available just off the parking lot. There is only parking for about 30 cars so I'm sure it can be hard to find parking during the summer season.

It’s been years since I was last here and I’m not really sure why it’s taken me so long to come back. This is perhaps one of the most beautiful spots I’ve seen on the Cape. It’s easily accessible from the bike trail and it is definitely worth the trip. I biked here in the morning from Eastham and I was the only one there. I was told that on clear nights this is the perfect spot to watch the moon and stars.

A bit disappointed not to see any part of the wireless station built by Marconi, bit some pictures of such. This was replaced by a stunning view of the Atlantic ocean and the green fields in the other side with trails that are in such good condition. Kids and wife loved it. Additionally musicians play in a wonderful environment.

Interesting bit of history about the first transatlantic wireless communication.
There is nothing left of the actual equipment, but there are a few signs and a great view of the atlantic.
Located approximately seven miles north of Marconi Beach, Newcomb Hollow Beach boasts unique features such as scenic sand dunes, soft sands and tranquil waters suitable for both fishing and swimming. Positioned between Cahoon and Ballston beaches, it offers thrilling opportunities for surfing on the sandbar. This popular Cape Cod beach is worth visiting after a day at Marconi Beach since the attraction sites in proximity are just a short trip away.
It’s a freezing cold day and we stopped to see the fishing boat that was beached. Thankfully that’s going well. It’s devastating to see all the dune damage from storms and wind. It’s really sad to see. According to some locals there’s significant damage from the weather. Plow trucks were needed to push off the lot. I definitely want to come back in the summer.

Awesome beach as usual for the national seashore. Small parking lot. But beach was huge and had nice cliffs(bluffs) to look at. And lots of wildlife to look out for. Whales and sharks and seals etc. so there is always something to watch for and have your camera or binoculars at the ready in case. Highly recommend. The walk from parking lot is not as bad as some other ones are.

Love this beach, with beautiful ocean views and soft sand. Visited here on a winter day, not that many people on the beach. Parking should not be a problem for off-season, not sure about summer though. Should be a great place to watch sunrise, may come back someday to shoot for sunrise photos.

This is one of the finest beaches in America. If you're used to cabana service like they have in Florida, then you'll be disappointed. If you want the best family-friendly beach, this is for you. If you visit in season, you'll need a beach sticker and you'll need to get there before noon or the lot will be full. The water is chilly in July, but a bit warmer in August. Still nowhere near as warm as Florida, but a lot better experience, especially if you have small kids.

Best beach in the area. Need Welfleet sticker to go during prime summer hours, but that means more available parking and less crowded beaches. Also one of the least steep dune entrances.
White Crest Beach, located in Wellfleet, Massachusetts is a renowned public beach with favorable surfing conditions on strong swells. The beach boasts of beautiful views of Cape Cod shoreline and is surrounded by dune cliffs topped with grasslands. Visitors can enjoy long stretches of sand for recreational activities and amenities such as restrooms, concession stands and beach volleyball courts are available to the public. Lifeguards are stationed at the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day for safety purposes.
We took a ride to Wellfleet with the intention of going to the Beachcomber. Well, knowing we possibly couldn't get a parking spot. And we did not get a parking spot, so we went back to White Crest Beach. We got to scale the dune. We enjoyed the space on the beach and watching the surfers. My son and friend enjoyed the waves with the boogie board and did some skil boarding. The water was refreshing, but tolerable. It was a lovely beach day. Be mindful of what you take down the dune because you also have to go back up the dune at the end of your day.

The $31.50 parking fee by kiosk shouldn't be paid until your absolutely sure you and all in your group can walk back up the steep sand path. Take only the bare minimum. Going down isn't that bad. Once your on the beach it's beautiful.

What a great place for an afternoon walk. We took the dogs and started over the bridge, looking at all of the tiny crabs! So cool! We walked on the shady side first to keep the pups cool and there was a great breeze blowing. There were a bunch of dead horseshoe crabs because of the low tide, but luckily the dogs had no interest in eating them . It was a nice short walk out and then went back through the middle trail, again in the shade cover. I would say we were there about 45 minutes but you could make it longer or shorter depending on your adventurousness!

Short hiking area. Spent an hour walking the trails. Great views of Wellfleet. Minimal hills so easy walking. No parking here. Park down the street either small free lot or small donation lot. Short walk from either lot.

Warning: this post contains some disturbing content, but I think it's important to include it. We parked in the donations-gratefully-accepted small parking lot 400 feet past the bridge and enjoyed our walk around Amblen Island. Unfortunately, we discovered the body of a porpoise or dolphin on the far end of the island, marked with the day of its death, 12/24. We called the Wellfleet PD non-emergency number and were told by a dispatcher that as long as the carcass was marked, the procedure is for nature to take its course and the tide would take the body. However, it has been well above the high tide mark for over a week so I'm not sure nature is going to step in and dispose of this sad creature. In the name of dignity and sanitation? But besides that....

Right in Wellfleet. The Walking bridge takes you out to a small but beautiful Island set aside as a nature preserve.
We walked around the island and the kids spent about 30 minutes catching crabs and minnows in the rising tide.
Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet, Massachusetts is a lively oceanfront bar situated on a bluff, popular with the younger crowd due to its steep dune paths leading down to the wide sandy beach. This discourages family usage or access by older adults with mobility concerns. Despite the cool water temperatures during summers, it remains an iconic spot for weekend and peak access times.
Awesome beach. Really clean and great views. 12/10. Has volleyball nets. There also is a resturant on top of the dunes.

Fabulous beach. Good restaurant with evening entertainment. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because parking can be a problem and you have to climb a large dune to and from the beach. 10 years ago when I was much younger It would have received 6 out of 5 stars.

The climb down the beach’s high dunes is meant for the relatively young, and is easier than the climb back up—but both are worth it. Your reward on arrival is superfine white sand, a volleyball court (manned by ultra-photogenic players), and the occasional playful seal. On the way up, your reward is the popped collar and flip flop scene of local institution the Beachcomber, where Wellfleet oysters, a variety of fresh fish tacos, and the house specialty Goombay Smash go down easy to the tune of live music and a most memorable sunset.

This is probably the best place on the Outer Cape to watch a sunset. Beach stickers are not required in the evening. The beach is a moderate-effort walk over the dune at the end of the parking lot.

Not the best swimming beach, but a beachcomber's paradise! Being on Cape Cod Bay, the water is warmer, especially compared with Newcomb Hollow or Head of the Meadow. Compared with Mayo Beach, noticeably colder. If you're looking to swim here, late flood-early ebb tide is probably best, or you'll be walking over rocky flats to get to the water.

This is a joke. Don't go unless you have a 4x4 and good a backing up. The road to the beach is a single lane road through a creepy forest. The parking it a sandbox (maybe will fit 4 cars) then a 15min walk through the dunes to get to the beach. There are plenty more place to see the sunset that are easily accessible

The flea market did not have that many booths this time around. It might have been a hundred booths total. The prices of parking was $3 a car load. If your looking to kill some time and enjoy flea markets and this might be something to do with your family this might be fun

$1-$3 per car depending on how many vendors they have there on the day you go. Concession stand and beer garden. Always find interesting stuff here! A good way to kill a few hours and get some walking done too.

The rain stopped just as we arrived. Lots of vendors, great selection. Everything from artsy stuff to clothing. I bought a cool fossil ashtray.

Slow day. Many booths closed before closing time. Decent variety of booths. Many are cash only. Restrooms. Snack bar and beer garden. Music piped from snack bar. Car entry fee based on how many vendors; from $1 to $3. Tshirts, sweats. Sunglasses, books, records, CDs cassettes, make up, hats, flowy rayon Indian style clothes and tapestries, African wood sculpture, driftwood art, jewelry and jewelry making bits, artist paintbrushes, cutlery, ephemera, collectibles, estate sale type objects. If this was helpful, click and say so!

The place to go for Cast Iron pans refinished and the seller knows the trade. Great prices you can't beat and save on shipping!
The flea market fluctuates with how many tables they have but over all there are some gems you can't easily find other places.

Really disappointed. Very few vendors, and most are just dealers selling dollar store level stuff, trading cards, cheap jewelry. Was hoping to see more individual sellers, unique items, antique or household things etc. Super hot because of the paved drive in with no shade. Also $1 to park. Didn't break the bank, but why?

What a special and intimate theater. I went for my first time only this summer, and I can't wait to see what's on next season's line-up. Grab a few friends, and settle into this fantastic space.

The best theater on the Cape. Small intimate and original performances by a highly talented and expressive troupe.

Great little intimate theater with comfortable seats, awesome service, and lots of parking. Enjoy!

I saw the play the Revolutionists. The play was mediocre at best but the actresses in it were good. At $22.50 per ticket, it was expensive for what it was. It's better if you go see a known play, which they do occasionally.

What a fine performance! Superb acting and a fine rendering of Harold Pinter's moving work. Bravo!

Every summer WHAT puts on a kids/family show. It's very reasonably priced and it's always a highlight of my family's vacation on the Cape. If you're on the Cape in the summer looking for a wonderful family activity for an evening, WHAT's family productions -- always an original show -- are a great option.
They are held in a smaller tent off the main building. The cast is generally a mix of a few younger performers with a larger number of older professional actors. The performances are under two hours with an intermission. Probably appropriate from ages 6 to 16 -- though this adult always enjoys them too.

Saw Rhinoceros here a few days ago, great production. Wonderful actors and a really nice theater. Really enjoyed the production and the actors. Will definitely watch another play there.

My nephew, Sam Krivda, was in the show "Murder for Two". Show was great...hilarious (of course). The theater has plenty of parking and is a great size, not tiny but even the "worst" seats are great.

I really love the Julie Harris Stage (with its comfortable raised seating, but minus that obnoxiously loud turnstile backstage),the rehearsal rooms and decent sized bathrooms. But it is no longer on the harbor, there's another company (Harbor Stage)still there which leads to confusion to some of the public.
LeCount Hollow Beach is a vast and scenic beach, surrounded by towering dunes that offer breathtaking views of the Capes. The beach features soft sand, making it ideal for various sports activities like volleyball, football or soccer. However, accessing the shore requires hiking up and down steep walkways along the dunes. Visitors should exercise caution while swimming due to dangerous tides and white sharks in the area.
Beautiful beach, off season beach fire allowed (check city website). Worth taking a stroll. Very clean

First time ever seeing the ocean in the north eastern US was here for the first time 2 days ago! Beautiful! But looks dangerous, between the white sharks and the tide. Be careful here!

The best beach. Big dunes, big waves, listen to the beach cobbles chatter as the water recedes.

One of our favorite beaches in Wellfleet. Beach pass needed. Lifeguard always on duty during peak season. Bathrooms and emergency call phone. There is always plenty of room on this beach and is never over crowded. There is a dune to walk down.

Open parking after 4: 30 great place beautiful scenery good vibe and waves

Spare and beautiful, less crowded than more southerly Cape beaches, but a little less accessible as well, and with very minimal facilities (two small bathrooms). Harbor seals hunt and sport in the surf, while the growl of the tide and the constant breeze remind you that you are in a fundamentally wild place. But on a clear day, the stark beauty of the Atlantic will enthrall you.

After a bike ride on the CCRT I found this great beach less than a mile from the bike path. You'll see signs at the end of the parking area. The road is a bit tight but not with cars going too fast, except for one jerk in an old smelly muscle car. Great beach, set down a steep sand path. There were some serious waves with serious undertoe. Was very difficult to get back on my bike. Stop by and pick up a great lunch at the food truck. Great tacos and other items, stop by and check them out.
Nice sleepy beach overlooking Wellfleet Harbor. You need a Wellfleet sticker to park, but I don't see anyone checking cars. The beach offers a thin strip that can quickly be overcome by high tide, so be prepared to move your gear if you're close to the water.

Wonderful Bay Beach which is easily accessible from Indian neck or drummers Cove.
We never found it crowded, even at peak times on weekends. It was clean, relatively free of rocks and seaweed, and of course as all bay beaches calm and warm.

Bayside beach at the mouth of Wellfleet Harbor, you need a Wellfleet Beach Sticker until after 5 in the summer, but after 5 is my favorite time to go. Check the tide chart for high and low tide.

Good beach for little kids, very little surf and shallow sandbars

The beach was great, however, the sign informing visitors that a permit is required could be better located. Received a $75 parking ticket for being tourists to Wellfleet.

My husband Tom and I stop by the Frying Pan Gallery whenever we are in Wellfleet to look around at all the very cool art on display after we have a drink or two with some oysters at the Pearl. Our favorites are Steve Swain's fish collection ! Also I love the Mermaid the most so I always told myself that whenever we were able to get a Cape Cottage, we would definitely have a mermaid and maybe some of Steve's fish on the wall ! Well we just succeeded in getting the cottage and have completed updates. Guess what !! We have the mermaid now swimming high up on the wall and we LOVE it !! So now we just need to get her some fish to swim with someday............Tom and Alana

Bought 2 large & 2 small horseshoe crab sculptures that I’d wanted for +8 years. They look beautiful on my wall

I LOVE the Frying Pan Gallery! We have steel sculptures (schools of fish and a mermaid were some of our favorites), art, jewelry, keychains and more and have loved each and every one. We gave my cousin one of Steve Swain's steel whale sculptures for his wedding and it was their favorite gift. Everyone at the gallery is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Frying Pan!

Great place to visit to browse the unique art works. And a great place to find gifts and art for you home. Here is some art work we just purchased.

The first piece of real art I ever bought myself came from Frying Pan. Besides being in the coolest building in an awesome spot, they have the best collection of art and ceramics and more. I love the artists they've curated and the staff is so fun! My favorite are Steve's metal sculptures of fish and mermaids.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Lovely gallery with lovely people. Main attractions are variations of clever and elegant metalwork of various sea creatures - real and mythical. Great gifts for adults and kids. Also artwork, jewelry, ceramics etc. all carefully curated. Worth a look.
