The Penn State University is a renowned public research university that was established in 1855. It serves as the flagship campus for a large state-wide university system, comprising of 24 campuses and facilities across Pennsylvania. The University offers diverse academic programs at undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizing research-oriented education. Its standout student-run philanthropy is well-known for its dedication to social causes. The campus boasts impressive architecture and beautiful grounds that make it one of the finest universities in the country.
One of the finest University Campuses I have ever been too. I graduated in 1985 and did not appreciate the beauty of the buildings and grounds until years later.

They want to change the English language by psychic in the English language is racist I think that they are racist for being this way they are racist against white people. there is a professor that they told to change the way he teaches the English language.
this is wrong so no one go to Penn State . Luckily my kids went to Usc (South Carolina) kids went somewhere else but I would not send them to Penn state !!!!

The hotel does not meet basic accessibility requirements, starting with parking. There is no way to access the building with a car, without paying a nightly parking rate at a lot that is located a block away on a steep hill. If someone has accessibility or mobility needs, this hotel is not for them.
Furthermore, I had several issues with management while I stayed there. I requested room cleaning services at the front desk multiple days and they did not notify the cleaning staff. The weekend manager also made a major error with our group's billiing situation and almost billed us twice.

Party school to say the least. There are no activities for college students locally. It can be depressing to hang out in town. Also, you come into the school not wanting to be politically persuaded but you can’t avoid it. When there were many Uber kidnappings at the school no one never warned the women students. There were a few students that had to pass out flyers to warn the other girls on campus. A lot is brushed under the carpet!

I’ve got a very love hate relationship with this college. Penn State University Park has many opportunities and is a very credible school. There are many jobs you can work on campus and are helpful for growth in your work ethic. Campus is very clean and large. You can major in many different fields. It is a very safe place to live. There are many places you can visit and will be worth your time. Food very good to eat. Penn State themselves provides jobs that you can work full time and have a sustainable income with benefits. Problem however… Professors don’t show much interest in their students improving. Let alone getting good grades. Yes, I’ve had a couple professors care about me. However, the rest don’t express interest in being a professor let alone working at Penn State. Which to me is a red flag, I came to this college to learn material and improve. Instead I see poor work ethic and bad morals. It is common to see a class get canceled while your on your way to class. Taking exams what is talked about in class and is on their slides, is useless info. This is because the exams will have content completely irrelevant to what is shown in class. When it comes to my advisors, they have provided no help. I’ll ask questions about classes that will satisfy my major, and what is going to help, yet every time I receive “I don’t know”. Scheduling a 30 minute meeting that I have to book two weeks ahead of for that response is not helpful and gives reason to not bother making the appointment. I view Penn State as an “acquired taste”. This doesn’t mean it’s necessarily bad, it doesn’t mean it’s terrible, more I don’t have a great deal of respect for the college. Some love it, some don’t. Personally I did not enjoy my time here. But it was the redeeming qualities I mentioned before that made me gaze over the bad preventing me from hating this university. If I were to give this university a grade it’s be either a C-. This college has a lot of room for improvement that if they were to acknowledge their flaws they’d be better except there is a good likelihood that’ll not been seen in the nearby future.

Penn State was the worst decision I could have possibly made. This institution destroyed my mental health by creating an exclusive environment for me and my roommate. We were put on a sorority floor without being informed, which is vital information since my roommate and I have zero affiliation with any sorority. The girls on the floor treated us with so much disrespect and made me feel very unwelcome and unsafe. I felt like if I screamed for help, no one would react. We complained to the university, but they did nothing at all. We also had no access to any lounges or the kitchen in our dorm, which we were supposed to have access to two at the least. I was paying thousands for a dorm room and that’s about all I had access to in my building. I had to withdraw from school because I became so anxious in my living situation that I began throwing up everyday and lost over 25 pounds. I couldn’t even make it to class. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning to Penn State. I’m already over $100,000 in debt from two years of schooling because of how ridiculous the price gauging is here. We are not.

May just be a deep appreciation for this historical school, but I become very fond of the grounds and the architecture of this university. Gives me a feeling of gratitude for all the many educators that have give so much to make it rich in grandeur. 😊

Grew up in State College, graduated with a B.S. in Health and Human Development, and now working for the Smeal College of Business. Ecstatic about this next phase of my life. Thanks PSU!
The Arboretum at Penn State is a picturesque university-run site that boasts panoramic views of lush woodlands, fields and botanical gardens. The area features a crushed limestone trail that visitors can meander while taking in the serene surroundings. This location is ideal for all ages to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature.
This is one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm in State College. It's an amazing place to explore and see the beauty in our botanical world. It's a wonderful place for all ages. My family and I are always discovering something new. Thank you to all of the staff, designers, and volunteers who make this place possible. We appreciate your hard work.

Even though it was a cold December morning, I enjoyed my time here. The children garden is heartwarming, the walk is peaceful and I had the place all to myself
Jenn Gray — Google review
Great spot free-of-charge to wander around, especially in warmer months when the plants are at their full glory. There are nice sections like the children’s, mountain, meadow, and the new pollinator. Nice view from the pavilion on the north side.
One thing that makes no sense until one realises it’s PSU you’re dealing with, is why they would build an entirely new art museum on the grounds here. The construction is bad, though I fear the building will be worse. Why are they using open land to build a new museum when we already have one? I can’t imagine the animals and birds will like it much.
Anyway, there’s a current exhibit and sculpture on the Carolina parakeet, the extinct North American parakeet. It also has an interpretive sign which is slightly wrong- most ornithologists disagree, but it is most likely the birds died mostly to disease, not habitat loss, because the forests were not gone in large part until after their extinction, and their range was so wide, it’s unlikely human-caused habitat loss was culprit. Nevertheless, it’s cool to check it out.

Beaver Stadium is a colossal football stadium that serves as the home of Penn State's Nittany Lions. It boasts luxurious skyboxes and also houses a sports museum. While its interior design may betray its 1960s origins, the exterior has undergone significant renovation work in recent times to add thousands more seats. The atmosphere during big games is said to be electric, with growling lion sounds punctuating the air at regular intervals.
Great atmosphere. The fans are super loyal, yet super friendly. Been here twice, and never had a bad experience....it helps that the home team is very accommodating to the team from Ann Arbor

First visit to the stadium as a long time Penn State fan and it didn't disappoint. It is every thing you see on TV and pictures. The atmosphere and fans were great. There are also plenty of good concession stands for food and drink. It is the ultimate place to visit.

Beaver is the best stadium in the college football league. The fans are always loud and cheering on the Lions. Today we had club level seats which were VERY nice and comfortable. Highly recommend tailgating before the game to get the full experience.
Lots of places to buy snacks and drinks throughout that air-conditioned level.
Checking in is all digital and easy if you download the Penn state lions app. I also had the option to save them to Google wallet for quick reference.
You're allowed to bring in one factory sealed 20oz water. There's also a clear bag policy strictly in place. All bags are searched at the gate and you must walk through the metal detectors before being allowed entry.
The concession staff is friendly and helpful so you can place your order quickly. No cash is accepted anywhere in the stadium so leave it at home. 10/10 overall experience.

Overall great gameday experience. The parking was a bit of a mess but the sunrise and view of the mountains made up for it. Most of the PSU fans were welcoming and good sports even after Michigan dismantled their run defense. Would definitely recommend to any Michigan fan thinking about visiting. Go blue!

Cool place to see a football game. It’s quite obvious it was built in the 1960s on the inside, but not so much on the outside. There was a renovation in the early 2000s that added another couple thousand seats, too. I suppose the atmosphere is pretty good for a big game, but the one I went to was definitely tamer. If you do not like lion growling sounds, don’t go to a game, because they go off every couple seconds it felt like. Worth a visit if you can find very cheap tickets, cheers.

This is one of the best stadiums in the nation! It can compete with any NFL venues in the country. Lots of amenities, food stalls, washrooms and parking lots. The safety and security are top notch. Friendly advice, arrive early to avoid the long wait times to get in and secure your seating. Oh and the game day cellphone data is nonexistent so make sure to download your tickets before arriving to the vicinity of the stadium.

I got a tour of here thanks to the Penn State Alumni Association during their "We Are" Weekend. Its MONSTROUS! Its currently the second largest stadium in the Western Hemisphere and the fourth largest in the world in terms of how many people this place can fit. Its also one of the toughest venues for collegiate athletes as, on select game days, it can get VERY noisy in there. Trust me: I've seen the highlights on YouTube too many times to count.

Nothing but kudos for Penn State Football and their stadium. Easy parking, plan walking time, and helpful people. We stood at the South end of the stadium to see the players and band enter before the game. Lots to see and do- especially the tailgating.

I had a great time at the Penn State football game this past Saturday. Everything was easy from parking and leaving and getting into the stadium.
Getting to our seats at the start of the game was a different story. There was a lineup on the ramp to get up and took about 10 minutes or so. We didn't miss kick off but if you go up to your seats right on time, be prepared to wait.
Definitely would go again.

Beaver Stadium is an extremely fun college football stadium home to the Penn State Nittany Lions. A group of friends and I attended homecoming game in the rain against UMass. Despite the rain we all had a fun time cheering the home team on and enjoying the venue. Bleacher style stadium design gives you a good view of the game virtually anywhere you sit. Food was surprisingly good and inexpensive as was the beers.
Really cool facility with a great customer base. Student section is always fire. Such a friendly & supportive crowd (if you’re rooting for Penn State) / they’ll turn on you like a rabid dog if you’re not. The food selections for the VIP dinners aren’t worth the hype or extra money - but seating in VIP is perfect!
Staff is always smiling and helpful - lighting great, bathroom facilities clean and handicap accessible. Parking is really good too.

This used to be a five-star review, but the last game I went to, the staff were absolutely pests with the masks. It made the game very annoying. 90%+ vaccination rate, and it’s the masks keeping us safe, give me a break.
The Pegula Palace is a nice spot to catch a hockey game or go for open skate. The seats are arranged such that the angles are all quite nice here and the tickets are never outrageously expensive like football, but still students have to pay for them. There is a Subway and several other miscellaneous restaurants and concession stands here that will keep you well-fed, and they accept your dining dollars.

Great place to watch hockey. Seats generally have a good view, and are comfortable enough. Women's hockey is particularly favorite to watch as it is inexpensive, the team is great, and there is open seating (though one side is closed off). Decent range of food for a relatively small venue (subway, aunt Annie's, Brazilian food, duck doughnuts, and traditional sporting food). No alcohol. Family friendly (often has a kids area, cubs' corner during games). The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere for hockey games. Food is "stadium prices," but not over-the-top expensive, and better than average options to choose from, including sausage, cheesesteaks, and fresh donuts.
Dress warm - it is a room full of ice. 😬
The Bryce Jordan Center in Penn State doubles up as a venue for various events such as family shows, graduation speeches, and top-tier music concerts. Though it may not be the best arena around, it is still decent and considered the finest in the area. The acoustics might not be perfect, but given how COVID has affected them and their exclusivity to hosting massive national acts, overpricing seems reasonable. Concession stand favorites like hot dogs and soft pretzels are pretty good.
This place was immense!! Double layers of seating, albeit narrow-butt seating, with skyboxes and an amazingly large floor area with grand stage side. The noise was well-cushioned to not be contaminate by dampening areas that held yells and such to a minimum. Probably is an amazing venue for concerts and large-scale events, but we were here for Penn State University graduation and this fit the bill! Jumbotrons, high-cost vending, and very nice bathrooms (for a stadium/arena) put everything into place. Highly-recommended for graduation of hundreds of students from a mid-level prestigious university. Plenty of hand dispensers that all seemed operational, which was a blessing, and full metal detector entryways well-staffed. We felt comfortable, safe, and inoculated there. All-around excellent experience! WE ARE...

I visited the Bryce Jordan center for the Winter jam event. The event went great. We had no problems with seating or any of the workers. Everyone did their job well and was pleasant. The only issue was with the parking. They diverted us to another area by the baseball field due to the size of our vans. However, we saw multiple Vans parked in the regular parking. Go figure.

Not the best venue I've ever been in, but a decent one, and certainly the best in the area. Acoustics are so-so. Everything is a little overpriced, of course, but considering how hard COVID hit them and the fact that they're the only place nearby that gets in huge national acts I don't think it's reasonable to have an attitude about it. The hot dog and soft pretzel I had were pretty good. When I saw Slipknot there recently I was disappointed to not have the option to get Berkey Creamery ice cream, which I had enjoyed immensely when I was there years ago.

The Palmer Museum of Art situated at Penn State University showcases an extensive collection of art from different regions around the world, including America, Europe, Asia & Africa. The museum houses a diverse range of works that are sure to captivate any visitor. Although small in size, the facility boasts a friendly staff and beautiful space. The museum's gift shop was unfortunately closed during a visit on a Saturday - which may be disappointing for those who enjoy visiting museum shops.
So much to appreciate here! I took my teen, tween, and elementary student. They enjoyed it, we only wish it were larger, with me at to spend more time enjoying all of it. The staff were all friendly and the facility itself was nice. The shop wasn't open on this Saturday, which Isa but if a bummer, I like museum shops a lot! 😊 Our visit to see both floors of all the spectacular art lasted less than an hour, there's a lot more than only what is shared here in photographs. It is not the largest campus art museum there is, but it certainly has some quality. A good range of pieces from sculpture, glasswork and pottery, and a vast array of paintings they range from 1500s to present. There is no admission charge; donations are always welcome. I was quite pleased and surprised to find some of the works here, such as ones by Thomas Hart Benton and Edwin Church, whose works of America always bring a smile to my face. There are rotating displays, and the current one is on American paintings from the collection. Also, this place gets wicked icicles when the conditions are right. Soon, it will be moving across the street to the arboretum where it will have more space for works and such. I think it is certainly worth a visit if a Penn State student or in town for whatever reason, cheers.

The wines were good as was the cider we tried. Outdoor seating is nice and pleasant, but indoor vibe is not especially inviting. Service was quick and pleasant. The lower rating is based on the flight prices, especially when compared with other local wineries. Price was way too high for literally a small shot glass size plastic cup only halfway filled. If the flight is what your looking for, this is not the place to go for price or even enough of a sample to truly taste the wine.

This place has a small barn vibe and the wine is decent, however, I much prefer Mount Nittany Winery - it’s a more memorable experience and the service was better. Plus the ride share drivers were so confused when they dropped us here and picked us up. Must not be a popular spot.

Nice winery with an extensive selection of wines, ranging from whites, to reds, dry, sweet and more. Very polite and very good explanations and wine education. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely visit them.

Great wine selection, relaxed atmosphere, and live music. Bring some munchies to go with the wine.

Ok. I didn't have a lot of expectations from Pennsylvania wine. I was hoping for a fun time with my wife for our anniversary.
However, we did two wine flights, delicious.
Crackers , cheese, salami. Fun time and the woman there was very attentive and accommodating.
We wound up buying 6 bottles to take home and cheese.
Lovely setting, the vineyard is beautiful. Great place if you want to taste wine in a simple relaxed environment.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is a 50-acre protected wetland that features boardwalks and hiking trails for observing wildlife. The area is well-maintained with clear markings and rest areas, making it easily accessible to visitors of all ages. The park offers a variety of activities, including scavenger hunts and a free library filled with books. Additionally, there is a nice pavilion available for lunch breaks during your visit.
This Nature Center offers free entry to boardwalk and grass trails around a marsh, that will take about 4000 steps to complete. There's a spot where 3 little streams meet, and a nice variety of native marsh plantings and trees. There's an outdoor art display along the trail with paintings created by kids and adults. On my visit, part of the boardwalk trail was closed for renovations. By the entrance, stop in to visit the gated pollinator garden. There's a free gravel parking lot for visitors, and the Center is close to the Penn State campus.

Came here for a birthday 🥳 The grounds are beautiful and full of nature. What took the day to the next level was the gentleman( naturalist) who had a scavenger hunt for the kids. They loved it! It was about 40 degrees, and jumped right on to find bugs in the stream. He was very educated on the habits surrounding the grounds and nature in general. The barn would be beautiful for a reception..just in the warmer months ☺️ The kids even got to see wasps, and learned about the importance of protecting them and all creatures. Time well spent on chilly afternoon.

Free and quiet easy board walk. A part of the trail was closed for renovation but on the upside, I had it ALL to myself. Saw a few duck families and assimilated nature

Gem of the parks around town. Enjoyable boardwalk to experience nature without leaving a footprint. Lots of wildlife to see especially from the bird blind. Walking path connects to spring creek Park if the kids need to play. Sometimes there are programs inside the barn that are held and should be checked out to see if they are a fit.

A great opportunity to walk through a unique and vital eco system. There is a boardwalk that meanders through segments of the park along with trails. Great activity for kids or anybody who enjoys a scenic walk.

Beautiful wetland close to town! It’s perfect for a little walk. Also good for biking around. It’s well preserved with deers, ducks, and different kinds of birds. It even has a tiny flower garden in there. Currently there’s only one portable restroom, but it seems like their renovation includes a new restroom.

I took the children I watch (aged 3&4) out for a scavenger hunt. The boardwalk was well kept and clearly marked. There were places to rest and relax, and it was all flat which was great for us all. We were able to see lots of animals and personally we did not see any snakes although I'm sure you could on the right day. They have a free little library filled with books and a nice pavilion for lunch. It's also very close to Spring Creek park and is easily accessible via bike path.

I absolutely love this little wetland park. There are so many natural gems found here. Birding and butterflying are top notch with some interesting to uncommon species ie. Sedge Wren and Eyed Brown. I don't live anywhere near State College, but when I'm in town I come through and spend a couple hours here. The boardwalk and mowed paths make access easy and enjoyable. Staying on the boardwalk is a must.

We didn't go inside any structures, just walked the paths. The views of the creek and plant life was nice. The water was so clear, on this hot day it was very tempting. Since it was midday and very hot, we didn't see much wildlife. A few startled birds and one water snake. But, it was a nice easy walk and I'll not only recommend this place to my friends and family, I'll will come back myself.

A nice little scenic place to explore. My kids enjoyed it. Looked like a field trip was happening at the time of our visit, so we didn't check out the visitor center.

Beautiful spot to walk in nature close to town. It's kind of a bummer that traffic noise is audible. The main trail through the marsh is temporarily closed as of this review.
Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is a structure designed for baseball games and various other events. It has a seating capacity of 5,570, along with concession stands to cater to guests' refreshment needs during events. I'm a bit biased in that attending a dual meet in this historic building has been on my list for more than a few years now. We did have a glitch with our e-tickets, but the staff quickly rectified that, and we entered the building. The crowd was energized for the exciting match we witnessed. A fun day in State College for sure.

Great venue for volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics! For students, entry is free for all men and womens volleyball matches, as long as you bring studentID and don't sit at the season ticket holders' section. Sadly, no chicken basket or chicken tenders at the concessions (as far as I know).

Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania is a science museum and learning center that offers hands-on exhibits and activities suitable for toddlers. The museum features various STEM activity stations that are engaging and informative. One of the main attractions is the marine aquatic area, which boasts an impressive saltwater fish tank along with a catfish tank. Visitors can learn from knowledgeable staff who provide insights into these aquatic creatures.
Discovery place is a wonderful place to take kids! However, all ages can enjoy the activities. The activities are fun, interactive, and educational. There are many different types of centers, and you can move at your own leisure. There is availability to hold birthday parties there, and they have a little gift shop as well. Price of admission is very affordable, and you could stay as long or as little as you would like. Staff was very friendly and helpful! You can buy memberships or daily admission. Will definitely be going back again!

We celebrated our son's 5th birthday party and we are glad we chose Discovery space. Entire space was clean and exhibits were rearranged nicely since the last time we been there. Staff were so friendly, attentive and cheerful. They patiently answered all my questions over the phone. Our little guests and their parents liked the space, kids enjoyed their activity and had lots of fun exploring around. Definitely recommend for parties.

Great place for young children with no time limit. Staff are very friendly. Marine life area is small but they have some interesting species. Definitely needs some volunteer help to repair some existing exhibits. The gift shop was affordable and had some nostalgic stem toys from my childhood. If they would offer more for older kids and audio explanations to better inform children. I think it would bring in more foot traffic. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend visiting.
Arturo Z — Google review
What a great place to bring the kids! This place was very impressive. There were tons of different things for the kids to play with, not to mention learn from. My favorite was the dinosaur bone dig where you dug up assorted bones and matched them up with the correct dinosaur. We attended a birthday party here. They performed an assortment of experiments with dry ice. The kids were memorized by it! The staff was wonderful as well. It's worth stopping by and checking it out!

Not entirely sure what we expected but it was not great. It felt like we were in someone strangers house with a bunch of weird items. The building itself was not in the greatest shape and honestly, we felt dirty the whole time. Most of the stuff was broken, dirty, or just not in the best condition.
The coolest part was probably the green screen and tornado simulator.
Probably won’t be going back.
Ashley Keeler — Google review
It's a small space but packed with a wide range of interactive science deomnstrations covering a wide range of.topics. also there are imaginary play opportunities for kids. There is a creative element to the displays, some of which are clearly handmade in house. So it's more of a S.T.E.A.M concept than just S.T.E.M.

Really enjoyed this place🙂 All the stem activities stations were very engaging. The marine aquatic area contained a spectacular salt water fish tank! There was also a tank that contained a cat fish, that my ash really enjoyed ☺️ The young man that was back in the aquatic area, knew so much and really made the visit awesome 😎👍. Everything is on one floor, which makes this a great place for Nana's to visit who have bad knees😉 and makes it easy to keep an eye on the littles. I love coming to these places and not seeing a tablet or phone in any kids hands!
jess myers — Google review
Fun place for kids. The older the kids get, the more they will enjoy it. But it is still enjoyable for a few hours for toddlers. There truly is a lot of interactive activities there and some of them are very educational!
The price is $7 a person, 3+ so the adults pay to get in as well, so it ends up being $21 if you take your kid.
It’s all in one room, the kids can wander around as they would like. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There were no seats throughout the activity center for the adults to sit on. And there is no type of snack bar, drinks, food, vending machine, water, etc.
The State Theatre, a venue with a rich history, has been transformed into a contemporary space for various forms of performing arts such as concerts, operas, musicals, plays, dance performances and screenings. The theater boasts excellent service from its staff and is highly recommended for live music lovers. Visitors should remember to bring along their vaccination cards or pictures as well photo IDs to gain entry. An amazing experience awaits those who choose to visit this remarkable performing arts theater.

As a physical space, I’d give it five stars. It’s a beautiful old theater that has been well- maintained and updated enough to provide modern comforts while retaining its previous charms.
But…my god, who is planning shows here? This is a college town and the newest band we can get is Psychedelic Furs? I feel like whoever is in charge of booking shows here is either completely out of touch with current music or just doesn’t care about anything but keeping the rich old donors happy by bringing back that Fleetwood Mac cover band for the 36th time.

I love the small atmosphere of The State Theatre. It makes for incredibly intimate concert experiences! There isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff is awesome. The restrooms are always clean. Security is actually there to help keep people safe rather than just to give people a hard time. The admittance process is usually pretty quick but if it happens to move slowly, its a great opportunity to grab a beer and check out the merch tables. The sound quality of the place is fantastic, especially for a theatre like this. The one area the place could use an upgrade in, is in the lighting department. The stage lights are mostly just color changing motorized spotlights and don't do much to enhance the show. A solid upgrade in the rigging and lighting would set the place above and beyond other venues for sure. Nonetheless, its still one of my favorite places to see a concert. I highly recommend The State Theatre to anyone looking for a memorable and special concert experience.

Love the State Theatre, so glad they are able to bring in strong up and coming musical acts to experience in a small venue.
Chris Coho — Google review
When the theatre reopened however many years ago, I was more than a little cautious about getting my hopes up, as we'd not had a venue of the sort in our area for many years. It has since then become my favorite spot for ALL kinds of music, dance, cabaret (shout out to Lady Grey's Lovelies!) local fundraising efforts, our local LIVE Rocky Horror Picture Show (hooray for Love and Light Productions), and they even offer free kid's movies once a week all summer long.
I have been lucky to attend the shows of some awesome 'Jam Bands', The Cast Of Beatlemania..and, even my ALL TIME favorite band, Third Eye Blind, played there on their 2009 tour. Because it's such a small venue, I had the privilege of meeting the band after the concert and was even invited back on their bus for cocktails 😄
So if an artist you really love, or even just someone you'd like to meet is playing at State Theatre, I highly recommend that after the show you run around to the back, in Calder Alley, and wait patiently to get hugs and autographs!
Oh, and the best part is that there is not one single bad seat in the entire auditorium, both floor and balcony offer fantastic views. Those old guys from the Muppet Show would struggle for a complaint!
I love supporting local business and local art and music; but it's the absolute bestest when those two things merge into one awesomesauce event

As a movie fan, it is a real surprise that we can have the state theatre in this small town. It will show classic/ artistic /foreign movies, as a supplement to the Hollywood blockbusters in most other movie theaters.

Tom Tudek Memorial Park is a well-maintained recreational area that features a playground, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a walking path. Additionally, there's a dedicated dog-friendly section with three separate fenced-in areas for dogs to safely play in. The park also has facilities for various other sports such as badminton and football. One of the main attractions of this small yet impressive park is its horse stable.
Such a gorgeous park! We stumbled on it by chance as we were in the area. There’s a flower section designated for butterflies that should be greening up soon, along with a community garden. They also have a dog park next to it with sections separated by size. Definitely saving this to come back one day!

What a gem, nestled behind a business district! Walking the butterfly gardens, the many well maintained trails, soaking in the amazing vistas including the horses, is a wonderful lunch break reset for those of us who work in the area. The two playgrounds, picnic areas and dog park further enhance the community inclusiveness.

Specifically went to the dog park. Great spot to bring your dogs for off leash time. There are generally two separate areas available, one for little dogs and one for bigger dogs.
I've been back a number of times now to other parts of the park and it's got some good playground equipment for the kids and sports fields and nice amount of trails for going on a walk.

Is it possible to give the park itself 5 stars but give the people who don't clean up after their dogs less stars?? This place is only as nice and clean as people leave it, but it is a great place to take your social pups to burn off some steam! There are 3 different fenced in areas, but usually only 2 are in use (because the 3rd will be a muddy mess.) We've never had any issues with other dogs at the dog park and love living so close!! Best fenced in park for dogs in State College!

This is an incredibly expansive park. So much open green meets the eyes, and there's a path encircling the entire park that is great for walking, running, or biking. A playground for kids, picnic areas, tennis courts, a basketball court, and baseball and soccer fields. The park is surrounded by trees, adding to the great outdoor experience. There is a dog park area, an area for gardens, and a place to ride horses. A cool pollinator garden, too. But mostly open, green space as far as the eye can see. What more could you want from a park?

I've been a leader while in the U.S. Army and out of it.
I just recently finished my Bachelor's of Science degree at The Pennsylvania State University.

Review for online (nittanyoutlet.com) related transaction. Overall I am very satisfied with the selection, price, ordering process, and communication from this business (especially under challenging circumstances). Please be aware that due to short staffing (impact not limited to this type of industry) that order processing and shipping will take longer than normal, which is clearly stated on the website. Taking this in to account, once I placed my order (well in advance of my item needs), leaving a comment regarding shipping, I reached out via email, as I was under a time constraint to receive my order (out of state) prior to traveling up to State College for the White Out game. I received an email follow-up within 24 hours, which was friendly and aware of my circumstance. They were very accommodating in making sure that my order was processed, shipped, and delivered by my requested date. I received multiple follow-up emails once the order was shipped to make sure I had all the proper tracking information. Thank you again. I will 100% shop from your online business again in the future. WE ARE

Ordered two shirts and the shipping was $10.90. More than I’d be willing to pay normally, but one of the shirts was unique enough to make it worth it. After an extensive wait I received one of the shirts (not the one that made the shipping worth it) with a note that the other shirt was out of stock and had been cancelled. They only took $1 off of the shipping. I would never pay that much shipping on a single shirt. The right thing to do would have been to reach out and see if we still wanted 50% of the order at 91% of the shipping charge, especially after the crazy long wait.

I discovered this place on Google Maps. Prior to my visit, I thought it was going to be like many other campus museums that I had seen: one to a few rooms located in a department building, with objects crammed inside glass cases and large amounts of text attached. They are more like cabinet of curiosities from the past than a museum in modern time. Strictly speaking, Matson is still such a place, but it is a very nicely done one.
It has three rooms, with ample seating. I didn't feel a lack of space to move around (museums in old campus buildings sometimes suffer from this issue). Themes of exhibits are varied, from evolution which is more often seen in natural history museums, to ethnology - center of a traditional anthropological museum.
On the down side, the interpretive labels are not museum-level, that is, they lack basic information such as date and material of artifacts. Way of interpretation is almost exclusively text. Graphics and interactives would make welcome additions, but funding could be a problem (would squeezing in a little gift shop help?). Exhibits, while covering a diverse range of topics, lack a unifying narrative (you may argue that anthropology is the big idea, and I'll take that, but to me it is too broad).
I don't think Matson counts as a PSU campus attraction. But it is steps away from the Nittany Lion Shrine, and it is free. Spend some time in exploring it before or after you snap pictures of the lion, and you might be surprised (be sure to check its hours beforehand). Although I still can't justify calling this place a museum, I enjoyed it for longer than I had expected, and I hope that you would enjoy visiting it, too.

Interesting displays. Great for a quick outing, quite small.
A nice little hidden gem of a park. Beautiful little spot in the middle of a hectic city. It is unfortunate that many parents likely avoid bringing their children to the playground here because it has become something of a homeless hangout spot, but of course what's really unfortunate is that people have to remain homeless. It would be great for kids to feel safe here, and more importantly for everyone to have a home to stay in. Should the state ever kill two birds with one stone, this will be a great little park for kids to play at.
