This is a big park with nice walkable trails. I don't like the fact that the constant traffic highway noises makes it hard to walk in a relaxing way. Planting more trees could block most of the noises and strong winds, especially along the two highways surrounding the park.

The need for bathrooms is real! Also more shade and water fountains. Other than that the park is great!
White Clay Creek State Park is a vast park located in Delaware, offering 37 miles of trails for hiking, biking and fishing. The park also features a nature center where visitors can learn about the surrounding wildlife. Additionally, there is a paved trail suitable for strollers and bicycles that spans over 2 miles throughout the park.
A massive State of Delaware Park that has numerous trails for hiking, biking and jogging.
For those with baby strollers a children with bicycles, there is a 2+ mile trail that goes through the center of the park from Polly Drummond Road & DE RTE72 intersection to Milford Crossroads area that is paved and has moderate hills.
With the White Clay Creek Preserve that goes into Pennsylvania, the Pomeroy Branch Trail that goes into Newark DE, the Newark Reservoir Park Trail The Judge Morris Estate Trail and the Middle Run Valley Natural Area adjoining it, there are miles and miles of tests to explore
Enjoy.

One of Delaware's great parks for hiking, biking and fishing. Trails follow the White Clay Creek with paved and cinder with off trails of dirt that connect to other areas or roadways.

Great park with tons of trails for all skill levels. My preferred activity is mountain biking but it’s suitable for hikers and runners. Only 4 stars because it’s usually pretty busy and they have park rangers patrolling the trails after dark so no night riding.

The kids really enjoy going here and so do I. The entire location is extremely relaxed and well taken care of. I always feel very safe here even when it's just me and the dog. Also the hike and walk areas are pretty level so it's not too extreme or hard on your knees. The only thing I guess I could complain about is that occasionally the paths cross the road and this is nothing on the park but on the people who drive around here slow down there are hikers!

This is one more great State Park in Delaware. We picked up Pizza at Tony's in Newark and took a nice drive out of town on route 896. White Clay Creek is a 4000 acre park with multiple entries and more than adequate free parking. You can spend days walking, running, or biking the numerous well maintained trails. There are clean public restrooms. Shaded picnic areas. There's sports, there's well interpreted history and nature, there's live music at a beautiful pavilion, there's age appropriate modern playgrounds. White Clay Creek is a great place to get outdoors and do something. There is so much to do.

Beautiful State Park along the Delaware & Pennsylvania border! Great trails for hiking, biking, running, and walking the dog. I found park maps at Parking Lot #2 on the PA side, and the park office in PA. Most of the trail is shaded and leveled. Entrance fee is $4 for Delaware residents, $8 for non-residents. Cell service is scarce.

Awesome park! Very large and many trailheads and places to walk or bike! Nice river runs through the park which has trout. Many parking places are available. There used to be a railroad that ran along the river locally called the Pumpsie Doodle that carried it's first passengers in 1873 and carried it's last passengers in 1928. They built 65 bridges to accommodate this railroad. Less than ten years later parts of the line were abandoned in 1936. The only lines remaining are south of Newark. Cell phone service with T-Mobile is not great in some parts of the park so plan accordingly. In the part of the park that I saw I did not see permanent restroom facilities only portable units and I did not see any drinking fountains in the part I was in. A lot of people were biking and walking their dog.

Wonderful place for hiking. Very peaceful and close to nature. You can spend any amount of time hiking here, I don’t think we will ever get tired of this beautiful nature, also the trails are marked properly.
Plenty of parking lots in various locations. However parking is very limited in the (east) side of the park, also there is no public restrooms. One portable toilet is placed near the parking space which is too dirty to use.

Park itself was amazing, quiet, and clean.
Park patrol came by and left a note on our windshield regarding an $8.00 out of state fee that needed to be paid. When we went to the main office, they refused to accept card payment and told me "sorry you have to mail us a check". This is pretty ridiculous as most people don't carry around cash; especially not to a park.

Great area for hiking and biking. I go for the fishing especially when they stock trout in the spring and fall.
The Newark Reservoir is a charming body of water located in Newark, Delaware. The lake is surrounded by a paved walking trail along its waterfront that provides access to an adjacent park. The reservoir boasts magnificent sunrise and sunset views, with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation such as jogging or strolling on the trails, fitness training on the hill and playing at the huge playground. It holds a staggering amount of water that could supply enough plastic bottles to span from this location to the moon!
I Really enjoy the Open Water Swims on Monday evenings. The one mile loop at the top of the reservoir and the White Clay connector make for a great training hub.

It has ample parking space and William Redd Jr park is just behind this place which is good for a run. The houses in the area are really beautiful and you can find deers around. This is a must visit for people in and around the area.

I’ve been coming here for years and it’s such a gem sitting right in Newark Delaware. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing! There is a huge playground for kids, trails for run/walk, and a hill to go up and down for fitness! I read the trailhead sign today that said the Newark Reservoir holds enough water to supply enough plastic bottles of water to stretch from here to the moon, that fact blew my mind!
Andrew Rossi — Google review
It is a beautiful site to chill, walk, run and detach from home and work demands. Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, people are walking and laughing.
But the cons are so many people in there, so hard to find a parking spot in the evening, you need to park along side the street or the other side of parking lot.
Also for the social distancing is not friendly. People are running closely to each other. No mask on. You’d definitely go there not at its peak hours.

It's a wonderful place to take kids and dogs. Trails, woods, disc golf, cute playground equipment, and a small iron hill museum too.

One of the best (and under-rated) parks in the area. Here's why:
Stellar disc golf course, good trails for mountain biking and hiking, large playground with ample shade and picnic tables, never crowded. Have had several pizza dinners here while letting the kids play.
James Vennard — Google review
We love this park. It's close to home and the trails are very family friendly. Just watch out for the disk golfers! We never find it crowded here. The playground is nice and shaded, if you have kids who want to play, and there is a small dog park for your furry friends.

We love this park for hiking. Easy trails and pretty quiet. Just watch out for disk golfers! Further into the park there is some noise from the highway, but overall we love Iron Hill for family friendly hikes. I also love the shaded playground. It's so great to go in the summer and not have the sun beating down while the kids play!

This is not just a dog park. This place has numerous picnic and grill spot, children's play area, many hiking and mountain bike trails as well as a full, picturesque and challenging disc golf course. There is a large pavillion, a rest area with facilities and maps, a ranger station and a science center. The park also has some rich history going back before the revolutionary war. There are many cool boulders and tons of interesting rocks. The trees are relatively old growth for this area and quite majestic.

Engaging presentation, professional actors, great band/orchestra, set was realistic, scene changes were seamless, every seat is a good seat with excellent view, entire production was one of best I've seen there. This particular show was never boring. Two hours felt like one hour went by so fast.

I have never been disappointed by a REP production, and I've been to many of them. A frequent season subscriber, I count this theatre in the top tier alongside the Kimmel and Walnut in Philly. Even when I didn't care for the play itself, you can't deny the actors, staging, and direction are always done well. I do highly recommend the orchestra seats, but there's really not a bad seat in the house. Parking is next door in a dedicated garage, and there's a small concession on site.
Sarahfaye Dolman — Google review
I absolutely love the REP theater. I've managed to see most of their Productions over the last several years.
It's a treat to be able to see the same actors in a wide variety of roles. These folks are absolute chameleons... their commitment to their roles is outstanding.
The technical aspects of the theater are excellent. The sound, the lights, the sets... all are magnificent.
What can I say? This is professional theatre at its finest. Full marks.
The Bob Carpenter Center is a versatile facility that can host a variety of events, including basketball and volleyball games, concerts, and banquets. The seating arrangement is spacious and comfortable for large crowds. The location is conveniently located near the highway with ample parking available. During events, the atmosphere is lively with energized spectators and music from the band. However, some patrons were not satisfied with the limited food options at the concession stand which only sold overpriced cotton candy that was hard to eat.
We took the boys to their first college basketball game last week and it was an absolute blast. The Bob is a great arena that doesn't have 1 bad seat in the house. Everyone there was super nice and helpful getting us to our seats. The concessions stands are nice and clean and the food is not way over priced. Unfortunately the Hens didn't win but we will definitely be back next season!! Go Blue Hens!!

GREAT ARENA FOR A WWE EVENT. Small, and you get an up close experience. 3 problems i had. First, the parking for the wwe house show. The line was a half mile long, and then they cut it off to park closer towards the football stadium. It wasn't a bad walk except the rain. You need better coordination. Second, when everyone is leaving, you couldnt walk out the exit from the floor. You made everyone walk up and get stuck together. This, if i wasn't with a person who had an injury, it would have been fine. I asked and was still told we had to go up the steps. Finally, my section had no one checking tickets. We had a few open seats around us, and people moved down, and we had four tickets, but due to a larger person, we all couldn't fit and we were forced to move a few seats rather than get into an argument. I got there around 615pm. I definitely will arrive way early next time, and my advice for anyone else is to arrive early as well.

Christiana Skating Center is a family-friendly venue that offers roller skating classes, leagues, theme nights and events. It has become a favorite destination for children who enjoy skating on Saturday evenings. However, the rink needs to improve its management of long lines by finding ways to get kids in faster. Also, given that it's late at night, security should be present to ensure the safety of young people.
The manager Diana was the absolute sweetest person I have ever encountered. We had wanted to schedule a birthday party for our son Carter at the facility, and due to weather they had been closed the previous day and we were unable to make a reservation. Diana went above and beyond to fit us into a room and accommodate our group with last minute notice at no charge. I have thrown a lot of parties for my kids over the last 13 years and she absolutely has set the bar for customer service. The facility itself was clean, and very well maintained. All staff was friendly and professional and the food and overall vibe was great! I will be back to Christiana skate ring again and again. Thank you Diana to you and your staff. Your facility is a true gem.

Stopped here for one of their family sessions. This is my 47th skating rink. First one in Delaware. I’ll be back too.
There’s a nice sign on the outside. The interior is clean. The ticket counter and window area is well managed.
The floor spans 180’ x 85’ and it’s a beautiful maple rotunda floor that is well cared for. Yes, maple rotunda. It’s a skaters dream! The lighting on both sides of the rink were recently installed and boy, kudos! Well done. They light up the place beautifully! Disco balls have decent lighting and with all those colors, they are vibrantly represented. The snack bar is large with plenty of seating. Also plenty of parking outside.
Floor guards were attentive and the skate rental room was clean!

This is a nice skating rink and it's maintained well. The reason for 3 stars though is that the DJ ignores request and in general the music played the entire time is horrid and not family friendly. I'd love to see them dedicate the early Saturday skate session as a family session where they play appropriate music. I'm sitting here now and the music just sucks. My kids have requested multiple songs and they have not played any of them but continue with this awful junk. With disgusting lyrics.

I recently visited the roller rink with a food bar that serves some delicious pizza. The pizza was a pleasant surprise, and it's worth a try if you're a pizza lover.
However, there were a couple of inconveniences. Firstly, the rule of not allowing entry onto the rink without skates can be challenging for parents with young children who need assistance. It would be great if they made an exception for safety reasons. Additionally, not offering PVC bracers for young children can be a drawback for families looking for extra support.
Overall, the experience was decent. The delicious pizza and roller skating fun make it an enjoyable outing, but a few tweaks could enhance the overall experience, especially for families with young kids.

I recently visited Christiana Skating Rink for the second time, and I must say that I am still impressed with this facility.
My first visit was about 10 years ago as a volunteer during a general skating day. On my recent visit, they had a STEM experiment for kids, which was a delightful surprise. I had no idea that they offered programs like that, and it shows that they are constantly evolving to meet the needs of their patrons.
The skating rink is much larger than you would expect once inside, and it is surprisingly well-maintained. The facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
My only concern is that the rink does not have the best reputation with kids who visit outside of school hours. Over the years, there have been reports of crime in the area, which can be a little unnerving for parents who want to bring their children to skate.
I would love to bring my own children to skate here, as it is a great way to get some exercise and have fun, but I don't feel 100% safe doing so. Just be aware of the potential safety concerns if you plan to visit outside of school hours.

First time I called a man answered the call and when I told him I wanted to schedule a birthday party for my son he said he had to get his supervisor I was on hold for a good few mins only to be hung up on. I called back and a lady answered the phone and I told her the same thing only to be told she couldn’t help me because she was busy with other things and someone will call me back or to back normal business hours. How incredibly unprofessional you guys are I wanted to make a birthday party here because of the reviews but I can’t even get an associate to help me. Very bad first impression.

The price is good. It's not enough control with the skaters or the rude lil girls in there. The skaters don't watch out for children. They literally push them speed around them. It's no control the referee wasn't doing anything. They were more worried bout my 9 year old son's hoodie on when the teenage girls in there are so rude, they don't move, the bump you, no manners, just terrible behavior. The bathroom was disgusting! Absolutely disgusting! Small, urine on the toilet, not flushed smelly. Absolutely disgusting. Food was typical at a place like this. I absolutely will not be going back which is a shame cause it's not far and my kids had fun even though they were pushed, knocked over and barked at. Yes barked!! The price is really good the man at the skate rental was extremely nice, the girls at the register not so much. Just typical bad attitude teens all throughout the place. There needs to be better rules enforced. It is crowded with teen girls with nasty attitudes . The skaters don't have any rules at least none implemented. The bathroom was absolutely horrific. I can find another skate rink forthe same price I'd even pay a little higher for a better atmosphere.First time and last.

I used to come here as a child and this was always the spot, but unfortunately that has changed. This is the second time i cane here since teenage years, and last time i left early due to the absolutly discussting music that was playing. The music they play is not family appropriate at all. I just heard a wobble on the *ick song, that is absolutely nasty!! I dont feel comfortable when i come here at all cause im afraid of the songs they will play and what my kids will here, almost every song has a curseword in it or girls talking about being naked. Im done coming here. This isnt a club its a skating rink smh and most of them are not perfessional at all, i asked them to change it, they ignored me. Only the one guy said he would then played another nasty song after. Not cool .

The Fred Rust Ice Arena, located on the campus of The University of Delaware in Newark, is an ice skating rink that serves as a training ground for hockey and figure skaters. It has also hosted international figure skating legends such as Tara Lipinski. While primarily reserved for competitions, the arena is often open to the public who can rent skates on-site or purchase tickets online or at the door. Ice skating is a fun way to burn calories and spend time indoors during inclement weather conditions.

Over the years, the arena has been home base for some international figure skating legends, like Tara Lipinski. Though it’s often reserved for hockey matches and figure skating competitions, it’s frequently open to the public as well.
Ice skating not only burns tons of calories, but it’s a fun way to spend a few hours, especially when the weather isn’t conducive to outdoor activities.

Midnight Oil is my go-to spot for a monthly meetup with the Delaware Association for Humanism ♡
They allow outside food but on Wednesday nights they have a small menu available 😋 It consisted of two specialty hot dogs and a loaded soft pretzel.
Since I am gluten-free I was not going to order anything but the owner heard me talk about that and asked if I'd wait a little bit as he went out to get me gluten-free buns!
I ordered their signature cocktail (since I cannot have beer) and the Kansas City hot dog. It was delicious! The pulled pork, Kansas style BBQ sauce, and coleslaw really made it especially delicious with a nice side of chips ♡
Midnight Oil always has excellent service, great music, decor, games, and lots of drink choices.

They didn't have a food truck the night we were there, so we walked down the street to another place that did, but I believe we could have also ordered food to be delivered. We appreciated being able to bring our dog inside with us. They gave him treats, a water bowl, and lots of ear scratches (he loved it). There was a comedy show during our stay and it was only $10 per person. The headliner was pretty good. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and will be back again.

Beer was decent, food from the truck lacked flavor, though the ladies running it were nice enough.

Been coming here 6 months after they opened, my fiance and I are lifetime mug members. The staff and atmosphere is always so amazing. Their different nightly game and events keep each night fun! We go multiple nights a week and we are always met with kind friendly people and great conversations. Just like hanging out with friends. Not to mention them being kid and dog friendly is the best since we have 2 little ones and a boxer! Best place around ☺️ you won't be disappointed.

This place is so much more than just a great craft beer brewery, they are a second family. From the owners to the patrons, everyone is always there for one another. They take pride in creating not only great beer but extending the foundation of that beer based on friendship to each of their patrons.

Love this place! They always have different food trucks , countless fun events for all ages and there is a type of beer for every beer drinker but if you don’t like beer they have a signature cocktail and wine. I also appreciate it’s a family and pet friendly establishment and they don’t tolerate shenanigans.

Really nice brewery located in industrial park. There is plenty of seating. Iffers 4 packs, crowlers and growlers. Flights are available. Enjoyed all the beers tasted. Have non alcoholic root beer (available for crowler) for kids and adults.

To be honest, I don't drink beer and I still love this place. They always have great food trucks and entertainment. The staff is fun and good at what they do. It's a great spot for an after work happy hour as well. I definitely recommend stopping in!

It is a must-visit for anyone in Newark, providing an engaging experience for both adults and children. I can't wait to visit after construction. So much great history

This is an incredible small, community museum. The majority of the exhibits change yearly, so even if you have been to visit before you will see something new. Absolute must if you live in Newark, DE or the surrounding area.

What a hidden gem!! Located below the S. College Bridge, this quaint museum is inside the old Newark Train Station which is a beauty in itself. A must visit when in Newark. Bring the kids, they offer a cool scavenger hunt to keep the kiddos busy while you soak up they Newark treasures.

Brought my 92 yo mother and her youngest sister (89 yo) to reminisce. They really enjoyed seeing familiar names and places (Fader Ford, Rhodes Drug Store, Newark HS on Academy, Harold Hambleton and the Staffords.) We spent about an hour looking around and remembering.

I have not been inside the museum, but the restoration of the building is fabulous. Thank goodness this classic train station has been preserved for us to appreciate.!

Not much to offer but nice stop on a walk. Compared to a museum in Philly or NY this place is a small closet.

Vince's Sports Center is an amusement park spread over 18 acres of land, offering a variety of activities such as mini golf on two different courses, batting cages, arcade games, and more. The staff at the center is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at Vince's Sports Center is lively and full of good vibes. It also offers birthday party packages that are reasonably priced and enjoyable for everyone.
Great place to come to. I've always past this place driving by but now I'm glad I decided to go. Mini Golf was fun as they have two different courses. Lots of arcade games and batting cages. I had a really fun time here. I will be coming again. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was all good vibes.

Was there this past weekend for my grandson’s birthday party. This was the second year his party was held here. He had his 2nd birthday party at Vince’s last year and he couldn’t wait to have his 3rd birthday party here as well. I’m pretty sure he had a great time. What I love about Vince’s is all the memories I have from here….I started bringing my oldest son here to use the batting cages when he was in little league; my younger son followed in his big brother’s footsteps and played baseball too. So I spent many years of my boys going to Vince’s. Sometimes if I had the extra money and the weather was nice we’d throw in a game of putt-putt golf. I remember one time my youngest son was probably about 4 years old and we played a round of putt-putt. My son was a bit of a perfectionist and would get very mad if something wasn’t going the way he wanted, and well he’s was finding it difficult to hit the golf ball with the putter and have it go into the hole. Since his brother is six years older than him, they spent many years playing the same sports but on very different levels during the early years. He got so angry because he didn’t like the way his game was going and it only made it worse that his brother seemed to be doing so much better (of course it was all relative) with that anger starting to bubble over; he kicked the ball from the start of the hole. Well I don’t know how but that kick turned into a hole in one. He was thrilled, it didn’t matter what the final score was because that had made his and the rest of ours day!
Now best of all the memories are the ones I’m making watching my sons with their kids at Vince’s.
Always great customer service, games and activities for all ages at a very reasonable price compared to other similar places.

Visited for a kids birthday party. Putt putt was a little run down, but the kids had fun. Small but decent selection of arcade games, staff was friendly and nice. I think the main attraction is the batting cages, but I didn't try them. For young kids or baseball practice, I think it's good value for money.

Local Family-Friendly One-stop! Kids have too much energy? Take 'em to Vinces! Need to work off some stress in the batting cages? Go to Vinces! Mini-golf turns into cage fighting bears?
Go to Vinces.

I've played the par 3 golf course a few times recently with my sons. They are just getting into golf (and I've been out of golf for a long time) so this was a good place to start. I've played this course before years ago and it was pretty bad. The course in general was pretty rough and the greens were in horrible condition. Now I know full well this isn't Augusta National, but still I thought it should be a little better. But now it's not a bad course at all. The fairways and greens are groomed quite nicely. However the greens are very slow and quite tiny. But it definitely forces you to work on your game. There are only 9 holes, but you are allowed to play the course twice if you want. The cost is $15, but after 6:00 PM it's only $12.50. Not bad for what it is.

Nice little unassuming spot. Decent options, interior is so-so. I do see a ton of potential that could turn this into something much greater than it's current form. Still a nice spot for the toddlers or a softball team looking for a quality indoor spot.

Vince's has an excellent set of mini-golf courses under shade, which is much appreciated on hot sunny days. Inside, we like to hit the small arcade for games old and new, from the multi-cade with Pac-Man to the newer like Halo Fireteam Raven. Skee-ball, ticket dispensing puzzlers, snacks, batting cages, Vince's has a little of everything. Friendly staff, a lot of fun!

Took my toddler here yesterday and he had the time of his life in the toddler play area! It was the perfect way to get some energy out and watch him build up his confidence by climbing and pulling himself up. I wish we would have come here sooner and can’t wait to bring him back!

One of my best places to take my son. He’s 5 and loves it here, The games are cheap to play they have tokens you can by 4 for a 1$ or 5$ for 22 tokens and so on. I like that they have tokens with this day and age everything is cards and tap. Reminds me of my childhood. They have this indoor playground and batting cages. The food is your typical pizza, popcorn, hotdogs etc. All at great prices you can easily spend 2-3 hrs in here. Not to mention the outside golf course

Love the Par 3 course. As a beginning golfer, it's the perfect opportunity for a laid-back, skill sharpening experience. Beautifully maintained and cheap. The hole-in-one was nice too 😉 👍👍

Always a great time when I bring my son. He recently had a birthday party there as well. Reasonable party package prices enough for kids to do. Staff friendly I will definitely return.
I visited New Castle 100 Archers for a 3D shoot last Sunday, and it was my first time there. I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be quite affordable at $15. Instead of practicing in my backyard, I decided to use a range finder for real-world experience. The club offers a variety of targets with different scoring areas on each.
Son is a first time shooter here. He's practice only twice in other spaces. I think they'll have a new member! Very kind and knowledgeable people!

Celebrated my nephews birthday. I had a great time and I definitely want to shoot again. The adults and teenagers of all genders enjoyed themselves. The only complaints I heard were that they wanted to be able to move through the shooting cycles a bit quicker and we couldn't take are targets after the event. Other than that the staff was polite and even took pictures for us at one point

I went this past Sunday 5/21/23 for a 3D shoot. It was my first 3D shoot, so I didn't know what to expect. It was super cheap to go ($15) which was a major bonus, considering I hadn't done it before. I ended up using a range finder because I don't practice ranging and just wanted real world experience instead of shooting a bag in my back yard. There were a wide range of targets to shoot with different scoring areas on each.
If I can get my wife into shooting, I'll probably end up with a membership here so we can come together and shoot.

A nice museum. Easy to miss parking lot entrance right off highway. Tour guide was pleasant but could not answer questions on two exhibits. They have a really nice remembrance ceremony for the Battle of Chooch's Bridge which is what brought me to the museum in 2023. The First Delaware Reenacting Regiment (Rev War) did a wonderful job.

We were recently there for the Battle of Cooch's Bridge reenactment. There is also a cute museum in an old barn and historical markers detailing the Battle.

Very well organized and maintained Museum, many historic items, collection is unique, great place to know more about history.
The battlefield is nice, nice like that first bite of raw lizard (assuming you are a peruvian boa constrictor). The serene field of battle is accented with the wondrous sights of a mild mannered hunk in his mid-20’s, often to be seen mowing his lawn, shirtless. I wash my laundry on his abs bi-weekly. The ghost of Cornwallis can occasionally be seen pacing along the bridge, cursing Mel Gibson for not having the conduct of a gentleman. Hühnchensandwich auf meinem Schoß!

Historical marker signs need to be repainted. This place should be a state park due to its historical nature for Delaware. Not sure why that hasn’t happened yet.

An informative historical site on the area. It is actually in two sections. The second srction is across a narrow road bridge and is dangerousto traverse over the bridge to the site by foot.
The main site is easy to get to with ample parking along the narrow road.

When 800 American revolutionaries took on 17,000 British troops at Cooch's Bridge in 1777 they did not win. But they did not give up and the battle is considered a turning point for the Americans, who kept it going until they won in 1783. Supreme Court Justice John Marshall was among the American revolutionaries who fought that day.

Lovely small local museum. Exhibits are good for a wide range of visitors' ages. Probably won't take more than half an hour to look at most of the museum but they have many special programs and even homeschool classes, summer camp, and more intense programs based on a theme. General admission is $2. Well stocked and affordable gift shop. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Recently refurbished and replanted pollinator gardens. I can't recommend it enough especially to families with children from around 5 to 12.
Stacye Del Prete — Google review
It is an informative and well-curated place, for its size and funding, and specializes in all things local (which is great). Because it does cater to all ages, but has a significant amount for kids, they might want to move anything that shouldn't be touched by kids, especially those that can't read "do not touch" pieces of paper on them. Right when we walked in, we got yelled at by the manager - from the back of the museum - because my little one touched the bear that is literally next to the door when you walk in. It wasn't the most pleasant first impression. Not to mention that the two staff that were there (manager included) talked loudly and otherwise ignored us, only engaging us earlier to make sure that we paid for entry. We definitely did not enjoy it as much as we could have, as a result.
