Carson Park is a peaceful and picturesque park that boasts a historic baseball stadium, a charming kiddie train ride, and an interesting local museum. It also features beautiful trails that offer scenic views of the river and a large playground with numerous engaging activities for kids. The park has plenty of benches, pavilions, and trees that create a warm atmosphere perfect for short walks or spending time with family.
The trails are very nice, one area overlooks the river. The playground is big and has plenty of activities for kids. There is also a large field with a few pavilions scattered through, lots of benches, and several trees that make the park feel really cozy.
This is a spot i like to go for short walks and to take my kids to play.

Beautiful park to drive through and or bike / walk through.. Great location on having a grill out and or having a picnic of whatever you decide to bring along.!
Many beautiful spots to pullover to sit as you enjoy the beauty of mother nature as you read a good book. Plenty of outside benches throughout the park to also sit at... Overall it's just a beautiful place to relax at as you get your mind off from the stress of life...! 🌳🌳🌳

We love going to Carson park! There is so much to do there. Sunday afternoons during the summer we love the train rides! Cooler summer days we love the playground! It’s great fun for my 2 and 3 year old. We’ve also loved fishing at half moon lake.

Very nice park that has been around for a long time. It has a number of baseball and softball fields as well as walking or biking paths and roads to drive on. It is very scenic with little Half Moon Lake and the Eau Claire river close by.

Went down to Carson on a warm October Sunday while the leaves were at their most vibrant stage. I went to lay in a hammock to catch up on some things for work and it was very relaxing .It was nice to so so many people our walking the trails, jogging, kayaking, fishing, celebrating with family and friends or just sitting and enjoying their lunch.

This park has more stuff than I could possibly list: museum, baseball park, railroad track, lake, and the list goes on and on.
Days of fun to be had here and easy to access on foot, bike, or by car. As long as there ain’t some major event you’ll always find adequate parking.

There is lots to do here, many options for different developmental stages and inclusivity. My kids really like the story walk that the library has here too. The only problem with this park is that it is pretty large so it can be hard to keep track of kids since it tends to be busy here. Also, be aware that if it's a really sunny day the play ground can get super hot because of the black crumb rubber on part of the play ground.

Definitely among my top 3 favorite city parks that I've ever been to. While the open areas and kids' playground section are quite nice, what I like most about Carson Park is that there's also a ton of lakeside pathways and patches of woods to explore! And let's not forget about all of the wildlife as well!

Excellent park! Sadly, it took the parks department a very long time to open up the main road, so people couldn’t enjoy the entire park until 100% of the snow was melted, when they easily could’ve made one pass with a plow and opened up the road weeks earlier. Additionally, a majority of the trash bins, and porta potties are in the middle of the park, which makes it incredibly inconvenient for dog owners who pick up their dogs droppings and carry transport them to the nearest trash can. Litter is a problem at Carson Park, I’ve picked up several bags this spring, but feel that it’s the fault of the city for poor distribution of trash cans. Very important to consider the visitors’ experience rather than the ease and convenience of city workers (I’ve worked for a public works park department and it would maybe take one person an hour to change bags once a week). Great park overall.

Great place to have a picnic or to go for a bike ride or a walk. They have a couple play grounds for kids to play on and multiple different spots for fishing. There is also a couple places around where you can go kayaking. The eau claire baseball stadium is also here, they have many games during spring and they are quite cheap to get into. Overall I would highly reccomend going here for a good time. 👍

Women come to the park dressed to impress when it's cold while there kids don't wear jackets hats or gloves. Seen a little girl playing outside with no jacket, hat, or socks or shoes and she was like two. While her mom wore timberlands had on a nice jacket hat and gloves. Made me feel so bad for that kid

Eau Claire is very lucky to have such a beautiful and historic venue to watch a baseball game at. Personally I enjoy the Fan Deck and its all you can eat features. But no matter where you sit it's like a time machine for baseball lovers.

Carson Park is one of my favorite parks to visit, especially in the fall. They're such beautiful scenery and wonderfully maintained walking trails and park grounds. Take a little visit today. It's worth it. Take a break out of your day and smell the fresh air and enjoy nature at its finest. One of Eau Claire's treasures, and it's so easy to get to. There's also opportunities to enjoy Moon Lake as well. It will definitely add a positive to your day!

Phoenix Park, a spacious 9-acre park located by the riverbank in Eau Claire, is a popular attraction for visitors. It features a walking labyrinth and picnic pavilion and hosts a year-round farmers' market. The park offers stunning river views along the main path which leads to downtown EC where you can explore various local businesses such as Olsons Ice Cream and the Pablo Center. Additionally, the park provides ample parking space for those interested in fishing, biking or hammocking.
Beautiful Park. Bridges are beautifully lighted up. It's great for a relaxing, romantic walk. Just beautiful.

It was real nice and clean around there. Cops out walking around to make sure everybody was safe. Over all a nice place to go see and has farmers market on Saturday's too.

The City has done a wonderful job revitalizing this area. New infrastructure, old pedestrian bridge, restroom and superb architecture.
Did I mention the landscape design? Wowsa! A superb job of designing this park. Wild flowers galore, bumble bees doing there job and lots of color.
We went for the weekday farmer market, little thin, but we were told the weekends are the time to go.
Did not see any signs prohibiting the consumption of beer, but if they had a big event, can’t see how it would be controlled.
The main shelter has a wonderful design and I spent a good amount of time just looking at that.
Highly recommend and we will be back.

A must see when visiting Eau Claire! The main path leads you down a scenic river view walk, over a nicely lit up pedestrian bridge and right into the hustle and bustle of downtown EC. Including Olson’s Ice Cream, the Pablo Center and various other cute local business to check out. There’s plenty of parking! This is the perfect area for fishing, biking, hammocking, you name it!

One of the most gorgeous locations in Eau Claire! Wonderful to visit the farmers market or the concerts they put on. It takes you right up to the rivers edge and is a great spot to hop in for tubing and floating. Worth visiting several times over and having a good time with your family. Dog friendly and has seasonal bathrooms as well.

This is my favorite park in Eau Claire! I like to stay at The Lismore and get coffee at ECDC before taking a walk through the park in the morning. Their Farmer’s Market can’t be best in the summer, and I think the city did a truly amazing job creating a space for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying nature!

#1 park in the Chippewa Valley - with all the activities for all ages! The Farmers market is great and excellent products. The beautiful landscaping, flowers, bridge and the lighting all comes together. They have Food Truck Fridays which is awesome too and Thursday music in the park. Highly recommending coming throughout the week and the weekend. Great addition to the city!

Clean. Large open park with nooks and crannies of benches and trees and rocks. Farmers market in the summer. Parking is odd because the road to park on inside the park is winding and curvy. There is a parking structure very close by though. Different events through out the year. Right next to the river. Beautiful bridges to see. One crosses the Chippewa River and the other crosses the Eau Claire River. Bridges are lit up at night. Restrooms on site.

Beautiful and peaceful, a place to bring the family for a picnic or a casual walk, visit the Farmer's Market or check out live music in the summer. Great for a beautiful walk alone, taking in the many sights and sounds. The new lights on the bridge have added even more beauty and creates a unique and peaceful place to explore and enjoy.

Always been a beautiful location for peace and quiet. There's lots of benches to sit on. Super dog friendly. There's a bathroom near by in case you need to use it. There's plenty of play areas that your kids will enjoy. I love it here on my lunch breaks. Just bring a blanket and put on the grass to enjoy the beautiful view.
The Children's Museum of Eau Claire is an excellent place for families to visit and have fun together. The museum offers educational and interactive exhibits that are perfect for children, as well as play spaces designed specifically for toddlers. In addition, there are plenty of art activities available to keep everyone entertained. The admission price is reasonable, making it accessible to families on a budget. Visitors can watch their children's imaginations run wild while exploring the exhibits and playing in the various areas provided for them.
Fun for the whole family! This is a fantastic children's museum and a great price. My 4 year old and 2 year old could spend all day playing in the exhibits. We enjoyed watching them let their imaginations run wild. One of the best children's museums I've been too. My little ones were all tired out by the time we left. They also have and arts and crafts section in the lower level were little ones can color and paint. I found myself amazed with the electrical and plumbing exhibit. So much fun! Definitely take your kids!

We had a lot of fun here! It was clean and workers walked around kicked up trash, put toys back the entire time we were there. As some others stated they could add a few more accessories with some of the stations however it didn’t stop my kids from playing here for 4 hours!
Will definitely return.

Although it says "museum", this place is more like an itty bitty city for kids and kids at heart. It was voted THE Best Of The Chippewa Valley Volume One Reader Poll 2019.They provide a safe, educational place for children and their parents to explore, imagine, play, learn, and grow. The place has 3 floors with different exhibit areas - some are permanent, some are not. The main floor is where kids can put on a stage performance or do role plays in the mini community. Kids 3 years old and younger can explore the Toddler Park, a decent size area where they can crawl and play safely. There's also a Reading Corner with plenty of reading materials and Body Smarts where little kids can climb in, crawl and slide down.
Things that you should probably know:
1. This place is close for 2 weeks maintenance and cleaning in the month of September - so if you want to book a birthday party, you might want to contact them in advance for your options.
2. You can download their activities for the month to view their upcoming events. You can also go to their website and check Parent Hub for things you need to know.
3. They have one time passes and annual memberships.
4. You can bring your food inside and eat on the third floor, just don't bring peanuts or peanut butter as some kids are allergic to nuts.
5. It is a good idea to bring extra clothes for kids in case they get too wet playing with water in the basement.
So you might ask, why only 4 stars?
I give this place 4 stars because it hasn't changed much over the years. Some of the stuff are not being utilized or broken - like we were never able to try the recording room. The mystery log has 3 out of 5 slots empty. The John Deere tractor's steering wheel is also broken. The grocery store and grub could use new stock of items. I wish they have more interactive activities as well. Overall, it is a great place for kids to burn their energy doing what they do best - which is play.

The Childrens Museum was such a blast for both of children. They are ages one and four and it was non stop fun for both of them. We bought a year pass and have already gone multiple times. They have multiple floors with different types of activies for varying ages on each floor. We will definitely be buying another year pass next year. Great fun for kids when its not great to be outside.

Lots of things to do for ages three and up. A little more limited for the toddler set. Plenty of play and educational activities and lots of space to run. Still easy to keep an eye on your kids with most activities being within line of sight.
Note:. First time Mom's can get a free membership for the first year if your child is under the age of one. Nice introduction to membership!

So much to explore! If you have been to the Betty Brinn in Milwaukee, this place is somewhat like that but they have a very fun, very interactive water table. We had 2 hours but our son ended up spending all of it with water. He got soaked so prepare some dry clothes to change into! They do have raincoats but if your child is as water-loving as our boy, you'll need a change of clothes!
Also, pics are the only times he wasn't with water! Can't risk getting phone wet!

We love coming here. So many things to do and see. Even as an adult I love coming to the museum! Last time we went a lot of the things didn't work like the lights in the brain, the bank tubes and a few other things but I'm sure the kids get ahold of them and break it. Otherwise it's a nice place to come and somewhere to tire the kids out!

The overall place is very clean and looks beautiful. My kiddo enjoys spending a good couple hours there.
Only gripe is some of the details and maintenance - the life-sized "Operation" is missing most of the inserts, a button-operated game did not work....little stuff like that - normal wear and tear that should get fixed.
Overall, though....it is a clean, safe, engaging, fun time.

We had such a great time in the new children musem. There was a lot to do for children and adults. We got to experience being a beekeepers, farmers, mechanics, paleontologists, firefighter and what its like to be vet! There is also camping, house, an exercise area, brain and digestive system. I like how they also had a cool down room for some who get over stimulated. We will definitely be returning. Oh, by the way they also have an outside area!

I know people like going to Infinity. I am not as enamored for their products. I have really never enjoyed their wines and I don't think their distillations are very good. But I am only one person with an opinion, I could be absolutely wrong. So, if you are looking for local place that produces its own wine and liquors, try out Infinity.

Drinks are phenomenal if you have all day to wait for one. The bartender was visiting with friends and had no interest in serving cocktails. The server apologized for the bartender taking a half hour to make each of the two drinks we ordered. 30 minute wait to pour each drink. 8 customers at the bar and 6 of them were his family.

Spent a couple leisurely hours at Infinity last Saturday. We decided to do the tasting, which was really quite lovely. A complaint, however, is that we waited too long between pours. This was really only a tasting, and our glasses sat empty for way too long between. We barely had time for one real drink before we had to go to our next event. The local pairing plate was yummy and worth every penny.

My favorite spot for a locally sourced cocktail. My favorite drink is the salt watered taffy and the chocolates covered strawberry. If I’m feeling wine, a port or panache. But I am patiently waiting for frosted panache to return. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Huge shout out to Travis. He is a great bar tender, assures quality and remembers us regulars. I always look forward to catching up with him and his knowledge and passion for infinity product. Can’t wait to sit in the patio this summer and sip sangrias.

Love love love that! If only, you sold the Bloody Mary mix bottled. So delicious. My husband really enjoyed a mixed drink with their bock. He also tried one of the experimental blood orange vanilla ones one ice and he thought that was good. Our server, Haley, 11/10. She was attentive, answered our questions expertly and happily. A lovely server for sure and great establishment all around.
The Wisconsin Logging Museum is a local attraction that features exhibits and information about the logging history of the area. The museum has a unique Paul Bunyan theme, adding a whimsical touch to the displays. Visitors can also check out the gift shop for souvenirs. Although some have had difficulty with scheduling, those who are able to tour the museum will be treated to an informative experience led by enthusiastic guides. Additionally, visitors can enjoy exploring the surrounding park and checking out the cool statues on display.
Okay dude straight up we dropped by this place on our way to Minnesota and we was not disappointed this park was nice for a little and for us to stretch our legs for a bit. Mountain biker's wonderland. I didn't have a bike with me when I visited, so I just hiked about 8 miles and took a lot of nature photos. Really, really great spot for biking. Found a huge baby barred owl on the path during my visit, helped her onto a thick perching stick to move her off trail and onto a higher tree branch. Amazing experience. Great trail system.

This place is beautiful and has many trails for walks...it's a great place to connect with nature...it also has a trail where you can walk down on and there will be signs of different exercises you can do, I thought that was pretty neat. My favorite spot is the bridge area where there is a little stream of water that goes through there...once you cross over the bridge there will be a little bench that you can sit and watch the stream of water or read...I also notice there are also picnic areas and restrooms....the parking lot is pretty big and makes it comfortable to park and this place is well kept. This is a nice park, but most certainly geared more towards mountain biking (at least during non winter months). Entrance fee is $5 per day or $30 for an annual pass. There are multiple miles of trails that range from easy to moderate terrain. There are mature trees throughout the park. You can also walk throughout the park, but the paths can be somewhat muddy after rains.
Make sure to bring some bug spray as biting bugs will start coming out soon.
There are bathrooms available in the parking lot.

The Brewing Project is a very IPA heavy brewing in downtown Eau Claire. The building is historic and impressive located right along the river. There is lots of indoor seating patio seating, and a raised patio. The beer quality is very high while I am not an IPA person they still have a few other varieties including a barrel aged stout which was right up my alley. I have been here many times with friends and for large functions. You should put this on your list even if you are not into IPAs; there will be something for you and they have done a lot to bring back this old building along the river.

Been coming here for disc golf for over twenty years - we used to skip class in high school to come here because we were all irresponsible hippies back then. For the most part it hasn't changed, although a few of the baskets have been moved around from time to time, I think they've been the same now for about 15 years. Strangely it took me over twenty years to finally hike up to Top of the World, even though we spent some time at the rope swing below. We took the long way round, which starts near the back of the parking lot vs. climbing up from the streets. I recommend taking this long way round since it is a better workout and it goes along the pond. Other than disc golf and hiking, there is a playground that still has one of those old-fashioned digging contraptions, ball fields where I played with friends (my position: catcher), picnic areas, and a large boat landing. One of the best park areas in Eau Claire!

It’s an incredibly unique spot! Despite the abundance of graffiti, there is an undeniable beauty that lies beneath it all. The vibrant, urban art merging into a colossal, nondescript masterpiece is a sight to behold. I couldn’t help but admire the panoramic views around every turn. The outlook from the top was nothing short of awe-inspiring, offering a captivating vista that stretched as far as the eye could see.

Rarely do I give a place a 5 star rating, however Mt. Simon park has been a huge part of my growing up! It has an excellent frisbee golfing course frequented by easy going regulars, a baseball field, volleyball sand courts, hiking trails, A CLIMBABLE ROCK face (and I mean harness wearing climbing, there's an eyebolt sunk deep into the top you can secure your rope to), a boat landing into Dells Pond, several nice picnic areas, clean bathrooms, the best cliffs to jump off in Eau Claire, although Im not sure if there's still a rope swing there or not, (you know how the Man is, always trying to restrict our personal freedoms, they've been known to cut the ropes off), and of course my person favorite amenity, THE TOPF OF THE WORLD. for those of you who aren't familiar, this is referring to the end of the trail to the top of the "mountain", which offers one of the best views available in the Chippewa Valey.

Nice view from top. Unfortunately trash, beer bottles, and graffiti all over the place. Trail was unmarked and rough terrain. Wear good shoes.

Decent park. Convenient boat landing. It has a 9-hole disc golf course, but it does get cramped easily on days when the weather is nice.

The park itself is a pretty okay park and it has a lot you can do besides looking at nature. There's a playground, a tennis court I believe, and access to the woods behind it. Overall, a pretty good park.

Beautiful place to throw disc's!!! The deer are usually out and not afraid of humans you can get pretty close. My kids love it here.

Kayaked Dells Pond and let in at the boat ramp. Lots of fun islands to cruise around. Many places are shallow enough to get out of the boat and take a break.

Nice, well maintained park. Nice disc golf course as well.
We stopped in on a bustling Saturday as Lazy Monk celebrated Oktoberfest. We didn't get any of the food, but wow, it smelled great! The whole setting was cozy, designed to resemble a beer hall. We sat at the bar where the company and bartender were incredibly friendly. The beer flight was diverse and delicious. My husband noted that there was a hilarious mural in the men's bathroom--you have to appreciate a business with a good sense of humor!

I am from out of town and I wanted to try it. I didn't have my glasses on and there was no physical beer list. Usually not a problem but there was QR codes prominently displayed, I scanned it and there isn't enough cell signal inside to let the page load. I asked for wifi and they said they don't have any and apologized because they knew about the poor signal. Usually not a problem by itself. But then don't put QR codes up and have a physical option. I really didn't want to talk up to the counter and squint at the sign for every beer. Big hipster energy with all the condescending vibe that goes with it. And I'm kind of a hipster myself. Feels like pinching pennies and it's costing them dollars.
I removed the part about cards, because like I said initially, there are other reviews about it.
Reply: If all you get out of what I said is that I forgot my glasses, then I'm really happy I left. I'm having a much more enjoyable experience and atmosphere down the road at projekt. Not only is there a cell signal but they have guest wifi and the signs are readable even without my glasses.
The irritating part is the lack of physical menus PAIRED WITH no internet, that was clearly a known issue to the person working PAIRED WITH the QR code. honestly just drop the QR code if you don't want to provide wifi to your customers. I would have never gotten annoyed trying to load your menu and felt the need to leave. But your snarky response tells me everything I need to know and reaffirms the condescending vibe I got.

Lazy Monk Brewery is in downtown Eau Claire. It is designed as a German beer hall. Big and wide open with lower ceilings inside with plenty of standing room and big tables, a switch from you industrial looking breweries. Not a lot a windows (it's a beer hall) but they have a nice patio. Sticking with the European theme they had a bohemian Pils, bohemian dark lager, Bock, Miabock, imperial stout, IPA, Red, Porter, Pils, Scottish, dark coffee lager, and a NA Root beer. I really like German style beer so it's up my alley. I have been here before and I will be back.

Vibes with a side of Czech/German. We stopped by with our dogs on a trip to Voyageurs National Park and couldn’t have asked for a better IPA (Mad Monk 🤩), hospitality, and space. Highly recommended for those that are looking for a dog friendly brewery and aren’t shy to order too much delivery food. Prost! 🍻

Beer was above average. Establishment was immaculately clean. Very friendly servers. There was a musty odor that smelled like an antique store. Large seating area. Some free parking available. Prices very reasonable. Ambiance was not as vibrant as some tap rooms.

We came in on a Tuesday afternoon. It was quiet and staff encouraged us to try several of the beers. I had a sour and husband had an IPA. The beer was just okay, but the atmosphere inside was cool. It was worth stopping if you’re a beer fan. The pretzels at the bar were a nice touch. The location is close to the bike trail so we were able to bike there.

Chaos Water Park is an indoor aquatic playground that features a meandering lazy river, various water slides, and other exciting aquatic activities. Adjacent to the water park is Action City, a massive arcade with trampoline parks and ninja warrior courses. The venue offers plenty of entertainment options for all ages, including a maze course for younger children. Although enjoyable, visitors may find themselves spending significant amounts of money. It is advisable to arrive early on Saturdays to secure seating as tables fill up quickly.
Kids always have fun, adults can relax, there's something for almost anyone, & while it's crowded, we all have a great time! The only concern is those allergic to chlorine, it's heavy concentration in the steamy pool area this time of year. Perfectly safe for those without allergies ❤️

Had a great time (2/26/22). Tables fill up, so gotta get there early if you want to get a table or lounge chair on Saturdays. Pizza looked good(prob. tasted good too. I didn't order). Water was warm, which felt so good right now in the winter.

Kids had fun! We just came for the afternoon/evening swim. Seemed a bit pricey for the shorter time frame at $37.50 per person. I can understand that price for an entire day, but for the evening seems a bit stiff.
Not much change since the last time we came 6-7 years ago. Some of the water areas are starting to show their age.
Older Kids liked the slides & Lilly pads, little kids liked the water bucket and water playground!
The chlorine smell at the top of the big slides was strong and made the kids cough. Could use some better ventilation.
Overall we had fun and staff was fairly friendly!

Great place for kids... (nothing for adults) except the extra cost to allow them to experience the whole amount of activities which becomes seriously expensive. whether u book a room or not!
Yes, free access to the.(small) water park) if u book a room!
Yes, all staff were VERY PLEASANT and accommodating!
My only advice to future clientel...is to make sure u have PLENTY of money to fork out per child!!

Basically this contains a kiddie splash area, a lazy river, and 2 water slides. Overall it felt unhygienic in the locker rooms and stifling hot. Everything is so loud, you can’t hear yourself think or talk to your kids. Pluses: staff is nice, they serve beer.

We spent $147 for 4 adults and 2 kids under 2, and then more if you want to eat while you’re there of course. This would have been fine if the waterpark had more to offer but we got bored after an hour due to there not being much to do for the little ones. The kids did enjoy the little waterslide and the water was very warm compared to some places you go making it enjoyable. Truly though, the place is disgusting. The water table has slime on it, the tables and chairs have slime on them, the locker rooms are absolutely unexceptable. Wet towels and garbage scattered around, feces on the stalls and toilet seats, wet toilet paper, the smell is atrocious. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy but would recommend just going to the other side where the arcade and jump park is, way more fun!

It's okay, no real comfort in the rooms. Gray walls and no art and very cheap beds. The water park and arcade were fun for the kids, but the restaurant food wasn't to our liking. Very friendly staff, so that was nice.

This is our second time and it was even better this time. You see people from all.over which can be a shock to some, but we didn't have much incident. Most people were friendly and nice. The staff, was incredible to us. We were a large group and we stayed a couple of days and I felt the customer service was nice. The young peole really seemed like they wanted to work and not just hang out and ignore you. We had a problem with our all day jumping pass and they were quick to work it out for us. The young lady with the fancy spiky hair was so incredible to us. Also the gentleman running the go-karts. They were interactive and quick with problems with the spin outs. There was a gentleman with curly hair and glasses, I think, that helped us tremendously at the lazer tag. He made sure we could all go as a family. We had a blast. We were able to enjoy ourselves in a decent suite and bunkbed rooms and they were clean and neat. The outside of the suite was incredible. All we had to do is pull the car to the back and unload and upload. That was amazing. The only thing I didnt know is that pets are allowed. We have 2 people allergic to dogs and some dogs were huge. The check in was a little late. Not till 4pm, but at least we could swim. We didn't have any problems. Swim area was great and lifeguards very careful and helpful. We are already planning next years trip if we can wait.

It's so sad and disappointing how expensive this place is.
I took off of work 2 months ago to take my water loving baby here for her first time for toddler swim.
I took off to go for MY Birthday Because I love seeing my baby happy.
Only to find out it's the only day they aren't doing toddler swim.
How is $35 affordable to just sit in the baby area?
I've been looking forward to this day for so so long.

Our stay at the attached hotel included passes to the water park so we spent an afternoon in the whirlpool hot tub here to relax. It was not crowded so we only had occasional interruptions from cannonballing small children, who are not technically allowed to be in the hot tub unsupervised.
The signage is amusing, so be sure to read all the rules.
There is a locker room/ bathroom for those not staying at the motel.
Food is kid oriented with pizza, chips and candy as the main fare. We didn't order anything.
The drinks were expensive and mostly limited to what comes in a can because glass is not allowed near the pool. The offerings included a couple beers, hard lemonade, hard iced tea, and hard seltzer all at $10/can.
The room rental came with up to six guest passes to Chaos water park, which can still be used the following day after you check out. We spent the afternoon enjoying the larger whirlpool hot tub which was pretty good except too far from the bar.. I got out a few times to cool off in the lazy river. Luckily it was not crowded the day we were there.
They offer a seasonal pass although I didn't check the details. There were several kids' birthday parties going on and cabanas which could be reserved for parties, and one large separate room that could be reserved.

I really enjoyed this waterpark! It is located inside the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire. It's a great waterpark to go to throughout the year since it's located inside. It is perfect for young kids and has several different areas for different ages. It has a smaller play area for the younger kids, a lazy river, a bigger/slightly deeper area for the older kids with a basketball hoop and 2 slides for the bigger kids/adults. It also has tables and chairs everywhere so there's always a place to sit and set your stuff down. There is also a place called Monkey in the Middle Express (pizza) that's located inside the waterpark area so you don't have to leave to get food or drinks if you don't want to. Very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back and enjoy this waterpark again with our kids!!

Tower Ridge Recreation Area boasts an extensive network of cross-country ski trails suitable for skiers of varying abilities, as well as seasonal disc golf courses. The park offers a plethora of trails along riverbanks and hills. To explore the area from Hwy Q(Olsen Drive), head east towards Fall Creek and take a right turn after Toys Scrap (Tower Ridge). Then take a left at the bottom of the hill onto Hwy QQ, which runs parallel to Hwy Q.
Tower Ridge is one of the biggest disc golfing courses I've been to! It has 18 holes, and the distance from where you are throwing and to the holes are about 400 to 500 feet long. If you like a challenging disc golfing course, this is definitely it! The hard part about this disc course is trying to keep your disc on the path because once it's in the wooded area, it's very hard to find your disc so make sure you have your eye on your disc! But the good part about this course is that it has two courses you can do. You can choose to climb hills or have no hills. When I go, I usually do the hill course to challenge my walk. I also bring my kids to these courses, but they are the ages 11 and 7...it might be a lot of walking for younger ages just heads up. It has a restroom but wouldn't recommend using it, and it has picnic tables if you decide to picnic. If you want to challenge your disc golfing, I would recommend this place for you!

Lots of trails along river and on the hills. Best place to explore you take Hwy Q(Olsen Drive) heading east towards Fall Creek. Take right after Toys Scrap (Tower Ridge). Take Left at bottom of hill (that's Hwy QQ, it runs parallel to Hwy Q). Anywhere along that stretch there's trails along both sides(trails are unmarked and usually there's a spot to pull off) Huge natural springs further you venture down

The disc golf courses are very challenging but I'm very thankful to have both unique 18 hole courses. Lots of trails to explore and maps posted at every intersection which is nice. Not great for hiking in the winter. Most trails on maps are ski trails (I think) was hard to decipher from the maps. Hikers are not encouraged to hike on ski trails. I did find snow shoe trails on line after our visit. We were just hiking though but am guessing one could hike in the snow shoe trails.

Great place for horseback riding!! Awesome Beach area to ride in, but best to go the first time with someone who knows the trails to find it. :). They are marked and you can ride there without knowing them, but many people I know end up just doing a circle and not making it to the water. Awesome place!!
Best place in Eau Claire and they aren't even in their new building yet. Very helpful ..I needed a new card and I printed out some patterns while there.. For black n white, its only 10¢ a page! Great selection of dvds and I really been missing going to the library!

Definitely an oasis in the city. Modern design with huge floor-to-ceiling windows from which you can see the trees outside and leaves falling. Has a good selection of books, even though due to the limited amount of copies available, the ones I am interested in are mostly unavailable at the moment and needed to be placed hold on. It gets a bit noisy when kids roam around but I guess that’s just like any public libraries. Staff are very friendly and helpful, but I wish there are more information or map about the display/organization of books or categories. Overall I’m impressed with the new building.

I hate the new library. I’m severely disappointed and unimpressed. After growing up spending MANY days of my childhood and teenage years in the classic library I now can’t stand what it’s been turned into. Cold, white, sterile, and every seat taken by a homeless and/or drug addicted person (a situation that became more and more obvious even before the renovation). They’ve gotten rid of the tall rows of wooden bookshelves you could get lost in, carpet, and hidden nooks and crannies for privacy and study, and traded them for short white shelves which allow you to see across the room, cold hard floors, and the feel of a hospital cafeteria. There seems to be more digital media than actual books, and more focus on “social programs” than love of literature. It isn’t a library so far as I can tell. The renovation was a waste of everyone’s time and money. I don’t care how modernized it looks, it’s lost the magic and respect of a real library. The only positive thing to say about this place is the addition of the private study rooms, but they were basically necessary since no seats or private study areas are available otherwise. I could say so much more but I’ll leave it here.

The remodel gives it a new library look, feel, and value to me. Much more to offer taxpayers. I especially appreciate the Community Resources Specialist/Social worker (Libby) office being placed in the public view. Been visiting our library since 2010, and never knew this resource existed until today (10/14/22). Was and is desperately needed by myself and many others who frequent our library. Then and more so now. If I recognized the lowly people in the library on this day of my visit. I would hope the staff of our library see the same, and reach out to help these human beings. Caring for these are more important than the material of their library, are they not? I love our new library!Thank you to everyone who helped to make this possible!

My boys love riding the trains so much we are here almost every weekend during the summer! They were so excited they got to go one more time for Halloween!!! Especially dressed in their costumes!!!
Tia Freedy — Google review
This would be fun, but these trains use coal steam engines, and this was acceptable 100 years ago, but I don't want my children to be getting asthma from the exhaust emissions. With trains this small, they could probably just use an outlet and car batteries to power these trains, which would have zero emissions, be much safer, and probably be a lot cheaper too
Brunhilde Valkyrie — Google review
The train itself is neat, especially if you have a train-obsessed kid who’s been asking to ride it for weeks and looked forward to a fun afternoon. And I’m sure some of the folks who work there are nice enough. Unfortunately, the folks who run the trains seem to have lost their mission somewhere along the way. Within the first minute of being there, the man driving the yellow train accosted us - publicly, loudly, and as rudely as he could - while other workers and customers stood by. Imagine what impact that had: a little boy, dressed in his train overalls, holding his model train and little toy conductor, got to watch his dad get bawled out by an 80-year-old who was out for blood at a kid’s ride.
According to the man, we had driven through the stop sign leading into the parking lot and which the train crosses in front of. Not only did neither I nor my wife see the stop sign he was referring to, but the train wasn’t even near to where we had been driving. It was an honest mistake, one that he could have handled respectfully. And he almost certainly would have done so if we were locals and it weren’t for the fact that our license plates are currently from out of state. Apologizing multiple time to him for our error didn’t help. In front of a group of 30-40 people, and while I held my soon to be disappointed two-year-old, he proceeded to make an example of me. He referenced my out-of-state plates. He lectured me about how the police wouldn’t even ask questions for “not stopping for a train,” which in this case is the size of a toy car. He clearly watched and waited for us while we parked, making everyone wait in line while he came over to make his point. Rather than simply handle it humanely, he did his level best to make everyone aware that he wasn’t going to let this transplant to Wisconsin leave without knowing I wasn’t welcome here. Noting someone’s mistakes and asking for future compliance is one thing, but this was aggressive and rude - albeit unsurprising given his age and presumed attitude toward non-native Wisconsinites. I’m sure he’ll have a wonderful story to tell his hunting buddies about that time he “really showed a Californian.” His handling of the situation soured the experience and ruined what could have been a fun outing for a small family trying to acclimate and fit into a new community. Throughout the ride, my son kept saying, “The conductor is not nice.”
So much for the fabled politeness of the Midwest. Needless to say, this will be our last time visiting Chippewa Valley Railroad, and I look forward to sharing this story with our neighbors with school-aged kids.

Be very careful if you come here (especially if you have children). I was here a couple days ago and found used, uncapped heroin needles laying around on the ground and in the tunnel. I went to elementary school at Boyd and spent a lot of time in this park as a kid. It is truly disgusting and depressing to see how filthy it has been allowed to become.

Great park, but too many homeless tend to make the stay less enjoyable.

One of the bridges in Eau Claire for biking. Eau Claire has a lot of bike trails as well as beautiful fall colors. Enjoy.

Been here many times over the years, flying kites, ice skating, hiking and biking thru, grilling, exploring the River, and 4th of July this year which had a good energy. There is a new pollination garden in the prairie section, which also has hiking trails that connect to the park area by the Hastings bridge. It’s a somewhat small space but there’s a lot to do here even in winter months.

So awesome to see all the improvements made over the years! Love this park!

Fun playground in a few years with some more trees and grass this will be a fun park unfortunately they have a few unsavory folks around so we will not come back until they city can fix the problem. I wouldn’t allow my children here without supervision and wouldn’t let them wonder at all generally I’d stay away at least for now.

Great neighborhood park with multiple things to do.
This is an amazing collection and collaboration of artists. An inspiring place with good food and creative atmosphere.

Awesome goat milk shop that sells the most amazing goat milk soap and lotion. They have a bunch of different options. The lotion leaves your skin so soft and smooth and the soap makes it soft too. Best goat milk products I've ever used.

As of now, part of the Artisan Forge is under renovation. There will be a big new change in three months' time.

Super cool. Was able to attend an event here for school children and so great to see the excitement in the eyes of the students getting into doing the art and seeing all the cool art around them. Was awesome to see the variety of art studios and art mediums housed inside. Absolutely love driving by and seeing the different statues that come out periodically in front of the building and the gorgeous murals outside.

We loved spending time here this afternoon! The artists we spoke with were so passionate about their craft, and how their process worked. It was a lucky find while traveling down 94! When you drive by, it doesnt look like you can go in there, but find the main entrance and voila! We will be back!

A must see for art lovers. Stopped in today, got inspired, grabbed a coffee, and connected with the local art scene. Need to go here more.

While at the artisan forge, I stopped at Sweet Driver Chocolates. The cinnamon roll was amazing (and amazingly big)!

Original art, modern sculptures, numerous artist studios, and a Cafe. I think there is a coffee roaster on site as well.
David Rodebaugh — Google review
What a wonderful hidden gem! My impromptu stop found several artists who graciously welcomed me into their studios. Sweet Driver Chocolates is hidden upstairs - Some of the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten! The gallery holds a wide variety of pieces from sculpture to sketches and paintings to pottery. The day I stopped several artists were in. They welcomed me into their studio space, and shared their art. I will be watching the artisan forge website for their events when more studios will be open. The only complaint I could possibly have would be to caution you to watch the website for hours, as they vary greatly, but the afternoon I popped in was well worth it! Even if you find the building closed you can enjoy the sculptures and billboard sized paintings that bejewel the building.
Oakwood Mall is a highly-frequented shopping center that attracts large crowds due to the presence of renowned brand-name stores, various departmental stores, restaurants featuring delicious cuisine and a cinema theatre. Visitors can enjoy an impressive selection of shops, including some of the most popular brands in the market. Alongside this, they can also indulge in scrumptious meals at several eateries within the mall while enjoying their favorite movies at a state-of-the-art theater.
I hope the Eau Claire community continues to head over the Oakwood mall. I would hate to see places like this close due to online shopping!
Still a fun enjoyable location. Most every spot is filled with stores, nice clean food court, and great surrounding restaurants!

We have been to this mall a few times on our travels.
Is a smaller mall but has a good amount of variety in products in their store fronts.
I think it has one of the best food courts for a smaller mall. Could compete with some of the bigger ones for sure.
Was not impressed with the small number of holiday decorations. In fact, if you didn't look up, you wouldn't know it was even decorated. Want to make money put customers in the spirit of spending .

Was our first time here from out of town. Was a clean, well organized mall. Had a good selection of stores. Is a little bit busy but for the holiday time of year not too bad.
Eric Bogenschuetz — Google review
Mall was clean, if dimly lit.
Decently populated, but not crowded, at about 6:00pm on a Friday.
I would recommend against going to the Mango Indian restaurant. While the portions look big, the entrees were essentially a soup, with 4 to 5 chunks of meat or cheese swimming in watery sauce. I've had more flavorful Indian food from a frozen microwavable box.
The cashier was at least amenable, and the cost was relatively low, but the actual food was less than stellar.

This place is such an oddity. It's a mall that still exists and is bustling. The food court is full. The stores are mostly occupied. There are the wandering bands of teens intent on being both dirtbags and mallrats. It's like a trip back to the 90s. Recently the escape rooms are big (and so fun). My wife loves the giant cosmetics stores. Overall it's a place out of time but oddly fun and nostalgic.
Dan Zabrowski — Google review
Just wondering what they're going to do with the giant empty department stores. Home has one there's 3 other wings. Mall days are slowly dying because of Internet shopping, COVID, and economy. It's not a natural change to what it was. I just remember being in middle school and early high school when it was so fun to just cruise around walking, talking, browsing without money, and people watching. What happened to Aladin's arcade? There's a few stores that made it through like orange Julius and Spencer's (totally adult now). The food court could use something different. It's slow steady with the typical stores. There's a few gems there but you have to look. They have tent sales in the parking lot, for instance the Halloween tent is up and worth checking out if you're like me and countless others that think Halloween is the best holiday! Trick or treat?
Brendan Hanrahan — Google review
The five guys burger, fries and shake plus the gyro that I had were very delicious. Star cup is also great for their milk tea. The variety of stores is decent and quite often busy with locals.
Pierce H — Google review
So very busy, so many people, not a huge fan of going out to the mall, but they do have a couple of new pretty cool stores. Most things are priced way to high though. Food court has a few great places to eat!
Janelle Vogler — Google review
There's still a demand for the good old shopping mall. Most people are ordering the majority of their specialty items online these days, but sometimes it's nice to see and touch the item before you commit to buying it. Jewelry is definitely one of those items. Sporting goods, too. Don't let your local mall call into non-use, go shopping today!

Stopped for a late lunch around 2pm, food court wasn't crowded at all it was so nice! Found a seat right away! Grabbed our Kobe Japanese and a Star cup and enjoyed some awesome food on a cold day!

Needs big box stores. Has to compete with online e. Regular or staple mall stores are slowly going but they're here! Scheels , and some nice upper end stores like Eddie Bauer are a bonus.

Brick and mortor stores seem to be struggling of late but this mall is thriving. A great vibe, store selection and food court. Take the kids there on a snow day!!! Its worth the drive

Great variety of stores. Clean and safe! Great anchor stores with Hobby Lobby, Scheels, JC Penny and HOM Furniture. Food Court and Movie Theatre! Something for everyone.

Lots of shops I like, very fun to visit. I loved the high quality original kikis delivery service ghibli film necklace I got, and many other items on my wish list like sailor moon pins and a flattering white shirt. I think they're at hot topic and um...an Asian store. Sorry for my bad memory

Horrible......the oakwood Mall closes way to early!!! Who's managing this place. Someone who wants to get home early I'm guessing???? Scheels & HOM Furniture are located in the Mall & the only two stores open after the regular Mall hours close (and you wonder why the two are successful businesses????).
i absolutely love doing and watching shows here. they always turn out so well and are so fun to watch and be a part of.

NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN.
Wayne Marek needs anger management. His incompetence and lack of communication as a "director" and not being able to give proper directions to his staff or actors leads to no one understanding his vision so he turns to anger and name calling of children and staff. He's lucky anyone works for him longer than 2 months. The owner Wayne doesn't do background checks on staff for a children's theatre. And there has been an incident in the past of Staff and children relations. And has no code of conduct between staff and children. The director Wayne has no background in teaching, theatre education, directing, or has a degree in any theatrical field and it shows.

I attended the ECCT performance of the Sound of Music today. It was absolutely incredible! The entire cast did an amazing job. From Liesl down to little Gretl.... These young people as well as the adults in the performance earned the standing ovation they received! I will definitely be attending more events! The Eau Claire area has great talent and I know that everybody worked hard on this event! I think Liesl was my favorite, but Maria got me too! I just can't say enough, I truly enjoyed my afternoon at the ECCT's Sound of Music performance!

If I could sum up my experience, at the Eau Claire Children’s theater. I would say it was absolutely horrendous. Three years ago I was in Peter Pan and it was very stressful to say the very least. The actress who played Peter Pan was very rude to me and to others. I wanted to ask her something, so I called her name repeatedly and she ignored me.
Wayne Marek was just as bad if not worse. He was very quick to losing his temper and would throw little digs if we didn’t do something absolutely perfect. He was also very arrogant and just flat out egotistical. When my family and I first moved to the area, my mom called the ECCT to see if I could get involved in any productions. Wayne responded with “this isn’t a daycare.” And proceeded to hang up on her.
Another time my dad was late. I needed someone to pick me up so I asked if I could use the phone since I didn’t have mine with me. Wayne then proceeded to belittle me for not being picked up right away. Which caused me to cry, he also doesn’t cast very fairly. You get into the productions based on if your parents work for him or are friends with him.
With recent news of there being reports of inappropriate behavior between adults and children. It just gives me more of a reason to never step foot in there again. If you are looking for a fun theater experience stay away from this place.

I truly found my community at ECCT! When I moved to Eau Claire from Seattle, I knew no one. I found ECCT as a completely inexperienced actor and was immediately welcomed. I have been challenged and supported. Yes, there are times that productions are very stressful, but we put on EXCELLENT shows and the cast members are always proud of the end result. I encourage anyone who has ever hesitated to try acting or singing to just get out there and try it! And if you don't want to be a performer, there are excellent volunteer opportunities as well. And, of course, you are always welcome to be an audience member!

Very disappointed! We purchased tickets and drove 50 miles to attend a dinner show but when we arrived they did not have us on their list. We showed them the printed tickets but they said they didn't have our payment information even though we showed them the bank online ecct payment. We offered to pay again but was told that they were booked with no seats available. The gentleman behind the counter told us we would have to get a refund for our tickets because they did not have our name in their system. It was the worst experience ever and unfortunately we will not be back for any future productions.

The owner of the Children's Theater is one of the rudest people I have ever met. He does not care for his patrons or the establishment. He lacks accountability and compassion. I do not RECOMMEND anyone attend anything here.
Tiffany Diesterhaft — Google review
I've attended a number of shows here, and have enjoyed them all. It's community theatre, so don't go into it expecting Broadway. However, everyone involved loves theatre and works extremely hard at putting on a good show, and that commitment comes through. Give them a try, you won't regret it!
Incredible service. Wine by the glass. Exotic and domestic whiskey/rum. The BEST live music in town. The owner Sean is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! I highly recommend swinging by 200 Main!

The light atmosphere was complimented by live acoustic music and beautiful rotation of art on the walls featuring a number of local artists. The on-tap wine and bourbon selection was what you would expect from an upscale place ranging between $3 and $18 an ounce. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of space and a tremendous selection of bottles for sale. Put this one on your list.

I love the environment of this establishment. The artwork is fun to view and is constantly changing! They always have live music and a wide variety of wine to choose from.
It can get a bit crowded when busy, however they are moving to a new location soon!
Staff is very friendly and helpful!

I would highly recommend checking this place out. Awesome selection of wine! The owner is extremely knowledgeable about wine. If you find a wine you like he recommends several more that are always spot on for me! I’ve actually given up my wine club membership and will be purchasing wine from here going forward. Now if you love art you will also enjoy this place. You can sip your wine walk around and appreciate the various works of art on display. We have been back several times and have always had a very good experience.

Great addition to Eau Claire's growing Downtown. Be proud of this guy for securing his place in a booming part of town and providing a cool new venue to relax, drink some wine & enjoy the local art scene. This is an affordable date night destination!

Remarkable wine bar and art gallery in downtown Eau Claire. Beautiful refurbished space with an exquisite variety of art pieces, live music, and charcuterie. Wine and sake dispensing cabinets are a great way to sample or pour a glass. Wine bottles can be purchased to go. All around wonderful addition to Barstow district and the Eau Claire wine scene, highly recommend!

I have not tried the food yet, but based on the excellent service and refreshing atmosphere, that too will be top notch! No matter what night I stop in, I am guaranteed to either run into a friend or make new ones. Love this place! The books upstairs are rather interesting as well.

First time visit. Great atmosphere; art by local artists on display all around; live music in the evenings, and an awesome selection of wines, brews and "sipping" whiskeys, etc.
Didn't have time to sample the food offerings, but hope to do so another time.
Note: Space/seating is a bit limited at peak times, and when a special/popular art exhibit is happening, so be prepared. On the other hand, there's a good chance you can talk to the artist(s) when you're there.

My new favorite Hangout! I love the atmosphere, and their large selection of wine, everything from the best non-alcoholic red wine I’ve ever tasted, from New Zealand, to Caymus, by the glass or bottle! And the charcuterie boards are fantastic! The atmosphere & staff are so inviting. There are events everyday, definitely checkout their calendar! I have really enjoyed the Yahtzee nights, it’s a night filled with fun and laughter by all ages and genders! What a delight to have such a wonderful, creative on tap wine and bourbon art gallery right here in Eau Claire!
