The Willett Distillery is a rustic outpost where visitors can experience distillery tours, sample Willet bourbon and other spirits, and purchase gifts. The tour provides informative insights into the distilling process with ample opportunities to try different bourbons. The tasting room also has delicious appetizers available for purchase. A highlight of the experience are the single barrel "Purple top" bourbons which are unique and high quality. The facility has a welcoming atmosphere with touches of family history adding authenticity to the experience.
Our tour guide was hilarious, but also very knowledgeable. We got to see the fancy pot still and everything. I enjoyed how the tasting wasn't all at the beginning or all at the end. This tour was much more enjoyable than I expected. You do needs reservations for upstairs though. We tried going up and it was full.

It’s our second time visiting Willett, and we enjoyed both visits. Last time was during Covid, and The Bar was not open. This time we had lunch at The Bar, and it was a nice experience. Remember to make reservations in advance, or you probably won’t get seated since it very busy, a popular place. Both the food and cocktails were delicious. We did the whiskey tasting last time, and it was great, and that’s how we discovered Johnny Drum, a great choice for making Old Fashioned. Don’t miss the souvenir store. By the way, there is an adorable cat on the property. We saw it each time we visited.

What a beautiful distillery! Steeped in southern heritage and charm, the ambiance is relaxing, warm and welcoming. The staff were all so kind and helpful! Our tour guide, Ila, was knowledgeable and funny. She really seems to enjoy sharing her knowledge of Willett and the family history behind the bourbon. The tastings along the tour were wonderful! This was mine and my husband’s first distillery tour for our wedding anniversary and Willett definitely set the bar high for us. We will be back to visit again!

Our visit to Willett Distillery was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to their incredible hospitality and attention to detail. We were grateful for the last-minute group accommodation they made for our team, ensuring that our visit was seamless and enjoyable.
The old-fashioned cocktail we enjoyed at Willett Distillery was perfect in every way, perfectly crafted and served with precision. The unique technique of cooling the glasses with dry ice added an extra element of sophistication to the experience, making it truly memorable.
Not only were the drinks superb, but the small plates and appetizers served were delicious and brought out quickly, allowing us to enjoy a variety of flavors that complemented our cocktails perfectly.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Willett Distillery for their exceptional service and for making our visit truly special. We look forward to returning and continuing to explore the world of fine spirits with them. Cheers to an unforgettable experience!

Go, simply go. It's the best distillery tour and tasting I've been to. The tour is informative and it has bourbon throughout. The bar has great food as well, it's appetizer style, but delicious. Last and most importantly, the single barrel "Purple top" bourbons in the bar. They are unlike anything I tasted in the rest of distilleries They are expensive, but it's the quality and flavor that the entire rest of the industry should be pouring on their tours. It's not even close, Willet wins by a mile.

The staff was amazingly kind and friendly. They took time to talk about the distillery, the bourbon, and even their own experiences. The grounds are beautiful. And I can imagine a better day to enjoy it. What was going to be a quick stop, lasted for a couple hours as we took it all in.

One of our stops along the bourbon trail. We didn’t do a tour but stopped for a flight. The grounds are beautiful, and welcoming and the people are friendly. While many of their offerings aren’t favorites of mine many seem to really enjoy them, just a different palette than mine. Absolutely worth the stop for a pour.

Great tour! The tastings are spread throughout the tour rather than being stacked together at the end. Mason, our guide, was knowledgable, bright and cheerful. Even after the tour he visited individually with his members as they browsed the gift shop.
Knowledgeable host, beautiful distillery, excellent bourbons and now I know why!

The Willette tour is among the best ever by today's standards (very much like the old days at Wild Turkey, Barton 1792, etc where you really toured the place!) and our guide, Bianca, was outstanding. They started the tour with a tasting and had several more along the way with two different offerings at each place, and again at the end.
Cheers!

Enjoyed meeting the cats on the tour. It seems like they are working to make the space even nicer. Good products. We loved the nope signs. We enjoyed the family history touches and authenticity.

We didn't get to take the tour, but stopped in for the restaurant and gift shop. Beautiful grounds. Super friendly serving staff. The food (small plates and dessert) was tremendous. Great cocktails. Can't wait to take a tour next time we are nearby.

Beautiful distillery. Our tour guide Shannon, was outstanding. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was excellent albeit slightly overpriced for the portions.
Now for the bad. I really wanted to love this distillery. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined at the outset by an extremely rude and unprofessional front desk worker that actually told me the person she was speaking to on the phone was “more important” than me after I waited patiently for her to get off the phone and check me in for the tour.
The whiskey is way overpriced and average at best. Charging upwards of $90 per oz at the distillery to taste their special releases is ridiculous. I felt like I was at a bar on whiskey row rather than a famed distillery. Best word to describe the vibe here is pretentious.
For a place to call itself a “Family” Estate, it is lacking the hospitality and friendliness of such an establishment. Really disappointed by this experience.

We highly recommend Willett as a tour destination. You can sample products at several stops during the tour. My wife and I were able to sample more different products than any other tour that we have taken. The grounds are beautiful and you can feel the passion that the staff has for their Bourbons, and Whiskeys.

Absolutely Beautiful campus, especially during our fall visit. Love the history, enjoy the product, friendly and knowledgeable staff and guide, love being able to get up close to the workings of the distillery and seeing workers actually present and working, and having our picture made with the working Pot Still.
The cats are a treat as.well. Loved how they knew the routines and basically made themselves at home throughout the whole tour. Will definitely recommend Willet Distillery for anyone planning a Bourbon Trail experience.

What an experience!! You actually have tastings included in the tour as you experience the different facilities. Nick our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided the best experience in Bardstown. Highly recommended to be on your Distillery visit in KY.

Of all the distilleries we did, this was our favorite. The grounds are gorgeous, their story fantastic, and the drinks great. We LOVED that the tasting was spread out at various locations on the tour. You get to see it ALL and the value is outstanding. We will come back and tour this again for sure. This is 100% worth your time.

My husband and I never visited a distillery before but this place was recommended by a friend. Our tour guide, Ila, was very personable and informative. The food at the restaurant was very good as well but make sure you make reservations if you want a table. We had a great experience. If you're looking for something different to do with your partner, we highly recommend this place!

Our tour guide Bianca was amazing! She was very informative, gave great history about the family and how Willet was started and how it still operates. She was friendly and loved her sense of humor. Tastings along the way were a hit with us, that is so different from the other tours we did. At the end Bianca asked if there was an anniversary which was ours and showed us lots of love and everyone got to try a high end purple top which was the absolute best! Later we had drinks and food upstairs which was by far the best we had anywhere! I would highly recommend the Willet tour!

We toured 5 distilleries — this was my favorite. Tastings spread out throughout the tour instead of all at once, smaller distillery with a commitment to quality and a family feel, a great bar, and great bourbon. Everyone is super friendly. Also, distillery cats are a plus!

We had SO much fun at this tour! We have visited a few places along the bourbon trail and this was by far our favorite. For the basic tour, we still got to try countless bourbons that this distillery makes, and were sent home with a nice glass from our tasting. Mason, our tour guide, was absolutely phenomenal. I will be bringing other family members back with me soon. PS: the "nope" signs are legendary, and also extremely helpful.

Favorite stop on the Bourbon Trail, and one of my favorite bourbons for sure. Shannon welcomed us at the door and then gave us one heck of a progressive tasting & tour of this little gem of a distillery. I can’t say enough great things about the vibes, the facilities, and the product of this family owned and operated place. Keep up the good work, Willett! I’m a loyal fan.
Excellent experience. The tour is well worth it. The staff is very knowledgeable. Kaleb was our tour guide and was very helpful answering questions.
The tasting that was included with the tour was enjoyable and 3 of the 4 bourbons were paired with gourmet chocolates.
There is also a tasting bar if you can't get on the tour.
There are several different brands of bourbon produced on site. There was not any Blood Oath liquor available.

Our tour guide, Mike, was a balance of informative and entertaining. It felt like touring with a friend instead of a guide. The grounds were very well kept, and it was one of best rick houses we’ve been to. We loved how the side was left open so you can see all the barrels and have a sense of just how tall the buildings were. We also saw how the barrels got loaded and unloaded. The tasting was also very good. I’m glad I purchased the extra tasting for my boyfriend.

Amazingly beautiful place !!! Would absolutely recommend stoping in to see, visit and or tour this place. Our guide was really great !! She was very knowledgeable about everything we inquired about. The tour was great and would do it again!! The tasting at the end was beyond great !! We were able to meet the master distiller and even got a bottle signed!!! Epic start to our bourbon trail trip !

Rating the building and the gift shop as not able to go on a tour or a tasting. This is a really cool building and the gift shop was cool. They had some signature cocktails for purchase which we got the lemonade and it was delicious. Cool place to visit

We enjoyed this well-managed and interesting tour. Our guide, Jennifer, was excellent. We didn't feel rushed, and if she didn't know an answer to a question, she offered to find out the answer for us. I recommend adding the Old Number 7 and the Bourbon Cream to your tasting...they were delicious!

Luckily Row has an absolutely gorgeous property. I would say it is exactly what I picture when I think of Kentucky. The building that houses the gift shop and tasting room is beautiful and it’s newness does not disappoint. We did The Production Tour and it was different from other production tours and was very interesting. Everything is so clean and new. I found this tour to be more interactive then other tours I have been on which made it fun. Our tour guide was full of knowledge and was able to answer every questioned asked and encouraged us to ask questions and to take pictures!

Did the distillers collection select tour today at 11am, and I will say it was well worth the extra costs. The tour guide was excited and knowledgeable. Had a speaker during the louder parts of the tour to make sure we could hear. Started off with a great cocktail. Got a little taste of white dog, got to thieve from a barrel, and six tastings at the end. New facility on beautiful grounds. Really worth checking out.

Great tour, highly recommend stopping by. The property was extremely beautiful. The tour was very informative and interactive. We had the opportunity to taste their mash and some white dog during the tour. The tour concluded with a traditional tasting at their bar and we sampled some good juice. The gift shop had a neat variety of souvenirs and various bottles for sale. Similar to other distilleries if you're looking for specially allocated bottles, you'll need to arrive early. They did not offer allocated bottles for individuals on tours. Cheers.

I took my husband for his birthday to the tour and tasting. He absolutely loved it. It was our first distiller visit on our Bourbon Trail trip. All of the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered drinks while waiting for the tour to start, and they were delicious. The grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. It was one of our favorite distilleries to visit.
Old Bardstown Village & Civil War Museum offers a unique opportunity to explore American history through its three distinct attractions: an American Civil War museum, a women's museum, and ten colonial era log cabins. The Civil War museum boasts an impressive collection of Union and Confederate artifacts and references, making it a must-visit destination for any history enthusiast. In addition to the indoor exhibits, visitors can also view the HL Hunley Confederate Sub on display.
10/5/21. If you like history this is a great stop. Displays are well thought out and there are a lot of items to read. Most amazing is they have the HL Hunley Confederate Sub on display.
Really a must stop

My only criticism - no discount for veterans or seniors.

What a great place, so much history! Alot of great displays with plenty of artifacts. Then you can go outside to the little village, real cabins that you can go into and check out some more history. They also have two more museums up the street but we were running out of time and were unable to check them out. But your ticket is good for 2 days, we will definitely go back to check out the rest.

Old Bardstown Village,
A collection of ten original 18th and 19th Century log structures that form a Colonial period settlement along Bardstown’s Museum Row.
The property has nice paved walkway to each cabin.
The cabins have period displays
Black smithing and historical artifacts inside
A natural waterway runs through the village it powers the water wheel at the mill house .
The path has several bridge crossings and a hidden covered bridge.
It’s a relaxing adventure into the past history of Kentucky

For what it is, it's awesome. The museum is smaller than a typical museum but the biggest confederate museum I've ever seen. The tiny town out back is something special for sure.

Amazing original buildings are well worth a visit. The museum caretaker Kenny was very helpful and knowledgeable. One tavern is as early as the 1790s. The log cabin seminary, the first established west of the Alleghany mtns, is moving due to it's simplicity.

This was so much fun! THe kids loved it as well. Being outside and able to roam around and discover what is inside the cabins. Old trades were shown and some history about local native americans. Nice short walk, it has a ramp if you cannot do stairs!
Annelize van der Grient — Google review
Civil War Museum was very nice. It's a self-guided tour with most antiques nicely displayed in large glass cases, many tall enough for a human. The day we were there, a living history reenactor was there to show and tell many items of the period. He was very knowledgeable and related well with people.
The Pioneer Village has some interesting cabins with a paved path. The day we were there, reenactors were supposed to be there until 5 pm. However, we went at 3 pm and the Village was empty with a few cabins open, disappointing.
Interest in frontier life is better served at Old Fort Harrod or Fort Boonsboro.
Out of all the places we went on the bourbon trail this place was the one that stood out most! Every bit of the alcohol they have to offer was the best I’d ever had. Let me tell you I went on the bourbon trail for my husband, I am not a bourbon person but this place changed my mind. If your not a fan of bourbon or just like quality this is the place to start. The tour was the most informative and the most unique, also WOMAN OWNED. Iris our tour Guide was so knowledgeable and fun! She let us try their moonshine, again this isn’t available in stores and best I’d ever have. If you get a chance to visit bards town make this your number 1 visit! Please make sure to say hi to Iris for us!

Fun tour. Iris is great tour guide ... knowledgeable and humorous. Explains facts well. So impressive that this is a woman owned biz. Very clean facility and interesting tour. Tasting was fun. Was a bit pricy tho compared to some of other bourbon tours. No glass included. Was disappointed no ornament to purchase as I collect them . Actually best rye ever tasted. Wish could taste tequila with samples.

We loved this distillery. Beautiful campus, farm animals and cute distillery kitty make this an enjoyable stop. Our tour guide Jim was so great, very pleasant and funny guy! There are some fantastic whiskeys to try, most of them aged and with vastly different tasting notes. Their bottles are pretty pricey, (when you find out the history you'll understand why) so enjoying a tasting is a great way to try their products out. We would absolutely go back to see Jim the guide and Char the kitty again! Very interested to see what they do in the coming years as they begin releasing more of their products.

One of the absolute best stops on the Bourbon tour. Fantastic story. Beautiful farm. Our tour guide, Hannah, was amazing.

We toured Preservation Distillery with the tasting experience. Mark was our tour guide. We loved it! This was our first distillery tour and didn’t know what to expect. Mark was funny and entertaining and the history and stories were very interesting. The property was beautiful. Small distillery but worth the visit. Hannah did a good job of leading the tour. We got to taste "white dog" which was a really unique experience. I enjoyed learning about how the distillery came into being. We sampled 4 different alcohols. Hannah was great in giving us a tip on how to eliminate the burn! We absolutely loved the Old St Nick Maple. I'm so glad we were able to sample it because I would never have spent that much on a bottle if I hadn't tried it first. Looking forward to seeing how they grow in the future.

Girls Rule and Boys drool! Girl distillery owners that is. I have to say that we have done a lot of distillery tours but this fairly new, small pot batch Preservation one of my favorites. From the knowledgeable staff to the on site Distiller (we were probably in his way while he was trying to work) who patiently answered our questions. From orphan barrels to blending with Canadian whiskey that tastes like butterscotch (Yes, it does, totally worth it) our guide was amazing.. Unlike some other high tech places this owners goal is to preserve the land, the buildings and the history. Unfortunately, we have to wait 6 to 7 years for their branded bourbon. Can I be on that list??

Great tour and tasting experience. Visited on a day trip from Lexington and had a wonderful time at the distillery. Our guide, Mark, was knowledgeable not just about the distillery, but was also one of the most generally well-informed about bourbon and whisky among the guides we've had at the dozen or so distilleries we've visited. The distillery was too new when we visited to have produced their own spirits, but they offer a selection of longer-aged vintage whiskies that were excellent.

After a weekend of tours, this distillery was my favorite! Kate is absolutely delightful and really made the tour. She is knowledgeable and articulate but doesn't overwhelm you. This distillery's story is definitely the most unique, which I love. Sometimes I have trouble picking out some of the suggested flavors in bourbon, but that was not the case with this tasting. I will have to do a blind tasting at home with the Perfection we bought to see if I have have end taste buds!

This is a very unique distillery experience, with historic buildings and barns converted to use for distilling, and bourbons that are older than you may expect. Even though it's a newer distillery, they have an amazing collection of barrels that are decades old that were purchased from assorted distilleries during the bourbon depression in the 80s. These old barrels are blended to make very unique and fun experiences to go with their own newly distilled bourbon options. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly as well.

We stopped in this place to check it out and we were not too pleased with it. We did the wine tasting 6 wines of your choice 1oz wines for 8.99 a person. As we are tasting the wines none of them were even cold or chilled they had them on a shelf in the middle behind the counter opening them and pouring them into our glass then closing them and putting them back on the shelf in the middle. Not a single one even tasted right at all. We’re guessing because none of them were chilled or something. Plus as were are going down the list our glasses were way fuller than 1oz glass for a tasting. The Sweet Raspberry/Peach wine they had smelled atrocious smelled like stinky sweat feet. We were disappointed in all of it

Tried a sweet strawberry wine slushy on the way out. ... game changer.. 😋 yummy!!!
The Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History houses a rare collection of American whiskey artifacts dating back from pre-colonial times to after Prohibition. The museum offers a great starting point for the Bourbon trail, as it provides visitors with the history and roots behind whiskey distilling in America. Notably, bourbon was declared The Official Spirit of America by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
Lots of artifacts, great collection. Takes only about an hour. Small gift shop with unique items

Oscar Getz was born in November of 1897 in Chicago, Illinois. He married Emma Abelson Getz in 1920 also in Chicago. Oscar was a businessman before prohibition in the whiskey brokering business. It was said that Oscar had a colorful personality and was the consummate salesman. After prohibition ended Getz and his brother-in-law Lester Abelson decided to get back into the whiskey business and started their own business. Within a few years his company was busting at the seems and Oscar was named President of that same company that employed more than 100 employees and the became largest distributor of whiskey and bourbon obtained from the old Tom Moore Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky.
The brand they sold was bottled by the Tom Moore Distillery but they put their own label on it calling it “Old Barton.” By 1940 Getz was a big player in the industry and became the largest whiskey wholesaler in a seven state area mostly in the mid-west. Oscar also had a fascination with the distillation process of whiskey and the industry as a whole. As a hobby he started collecting memorabilia including artifacts, nice advertisements, small displays, bourbon and whiskey bottles.
The inside of Spalding Hall is very charming and displays artifacts of time gone by
It’s a must see of everyone who’s interested in the bourbon industry.
And during the bourbon festival is a very popular place and the location of the festival bourbon auctions .

This museum is full of history and knowledge. The building in its self is a story in its self. The gentleman working with the museum gave us a quick orientation about the building and what we will see and then it was self guided after that. It was definitely something that is a must to visit if in or even driving through Bardstown!
Shelley Galer — Google review
What a great place to stop! Linda gave an amazing tour with so much information. Wonderful collection of items in a well thought out format. Don't let the free admission deter you from stopping!
cindi duca — Google review
There were two entrances (or at least doorways) to the museum which indicated open (one of which is pictured). Google Maps also indicated open. However, the doors were locked, and when we called, we were informed it was closed. We specifically drove to Bardstown to see this museum as our first stop and it has specific artifacts and information that relates to what we learned about at the Frasier Museum that we were coming to see.
(Destinations not being open when they say they will be open or not indicating that they are closed during regular hours can be a great inconvenience and frustration to travellers. As such, I give these one star, which will be updated upon returning.)

This is a great place to start your Bourbon trail providing a starting point & the history behind whiskey distilling. Here is a very interesting fact. Bourbon has distinctly American roots. In fact, in 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed an Act of Congress that designated bourbon as “The Official Spirit of America.”
RJ Olson — Google review
The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful! We arrived later than expected and with the amount of artifacts and history in this museum, the staff offered to wait for us until after closing so we could see it all.
Great collection of vintage whiskey memorabilia and bottles. Definitely worth the stop.

This place was gold if you are a history buff! The ladies there enjoy what they do and make the experience that much better. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. The museum itself has a lot of cool artifacts and a fun history of its own. Defiantly a must see while on the Bourbon Trail.

Charming, informative museum with extensive displays about the history of whiskey, how it's made, the bad old days of Prohibition and more. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two thumbs up for this place. The staff really give it a personal touch.
Beautiful historic Cathedral. Very inviting & peaceful & it's in a charming city.

Very beautiful church on the interior. I took several pictures. Only wished there had been someone there to talk to. We did light a prayer candle and signed the guest book.

This church has some striking history .. shared congregations.
Just being open during the day .. there are individuals there that will walk you through the church and even point out its architectural details gives you an appreciation for the missions here of faith.
I would suggest a quiet reverence, they do let you photograph (stained glass magnificient) and don't overlook the pipe organ (wow!)

Fantastic museum due to the enthusiasm of the volunteers. I learned a ton about the journey alcohol has had on American and Kentucky in particular. This is a must visit place if you have any interest in bourbon or spirits in general

My visit was at the Bourbon Museum only. It is an interesting display of items, photos and antiques displayed around the history of bourbon. It is a self guided tour through several rooms at your own pace. An interesting and educational activity.

Arrived there shortly before they were closing. Staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions. There were many rooms with historical information and artifacts that focused on distilling. We will definitely be returning when we have more time.

Great place to visit when in Bardstown. They have a large museum of bourbon history located downtown and walking distance from Main Street.

We enjoyed our visit to The Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History. Plenty of artifacts about the story of whiskey in the US, including the period of Prohibition. There is a restaurant in the lower floor, but it was closed when we visited.
The Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience is a family-owned distillery that boasts a tasting center and museum dedicated to sharing the history of bourbon in the area. Visitors can enjoy delicious drinks, particularly their well-crafted bourbon flights, while taking in beautiful scenery either indoors or on an expansive outdoor patio. The atmosphere is quiet and serious, making it a great spot for those seeking a low-key establishment. While no food is available on site, guests will be impressed by the stunning facilities and attentive service provided by staff.
Booked the $18 tasting. It includes 5 samples and a chocolate bourbon ball. Very informative and Nicole really took the time to explain what bourbon is all about and the proper way to taste (and smell) it. They don't offer tours here, just tastings. Nice museum was included and they have a couple of samples on the museum side as well. Great gift shop with a good selection of products.

They might be big and mighty but come hang out and you'll get a dose of local hospitality. Highly recommend a tour, do the best one you can. The knowledge you gain is immense and the rick houses, well, I could camp in. This is a must see. Only downside is the gift shop is a bit small compared to the huge product line. If you get there early enough you might catch a special bottle but it will be limited and you'll have to compete with all the early peeps lining up to catch a unicorn.

The Heaven Hill Distillery tasting and bottling experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a deep passion for the craft of whiskey making. The knowledgeable staff guided us through the tasting process, Miranda was a great hostess allowing us to savor the unique flavors and aromas of their exceptional spirits.
The highlight of the experience was getting to bottle our own special blend of whiskey, a hands-on opportunity that truly immersed us in the art of whiskey production. The attention to detail and dedication to quality at Heaven Hill Distillery was evident in every aspect of the experience.
Overall, I highly recommend the Heaven Hill Distillery tasting and bottling experience to any whiskey enthusiast looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure. I can't wait to revisit and continue exploring the world of bourbon with their expert guidance. Cheers to an amazing experience!

This is a really fun spot for a bus or group including women! All the ladies in our trip loved this spot.
The scenery was beautiful. The drinks were super tasty! The bourbon flights were beautifully done. You could sit indoors or outside on a large second story patio.
I do think that the vibe was more quiet and serious. It seemed to be a low key type of establishment. There isn’t food available here so be sure to eat before or after.
The facilities are beautiful and the service was great.

I am glad that I booked this experience - You do Bottling one. Our host, Josh, was very good and made the experience great. He's definitely passionate about what he does. He really did make the experience a memorable one. I am glad that I had a chance to bottle my own Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bottle. This was a wonderful experience.

We didn't do a tour, but stopped at the gift shop and to grab a drink at the bar. The entire experience was great! We were welcomed as soon as we entered and enjoyed browsing and having a drink. Even if you don't have time for a tour, it's worth stopping in and checking out.

We had an excellent bourbon experience here! Bernadette was a lovely guide through our tasting and we thoroughly enjoyed the bourbons/whiskeys that we tasted. We also had excellent service at the bar and I was delighted to find that they have mocktails on the menu!

I would like to thank your employees Phillip and Josh both for a wonderful experience. My wife and I are bourbon fans and made a stop coming from NC back to WI. I struck up a conversation with Phillip over bourbon and some of the predicaments we were personally in. He was such a nice person to talk with and we ended up having a ton in common. We stopped by the distillery 3 times and on the last day, the gift shop was pretty slow. Phillip and Josh took us on quick show of one of the rick houses, you can tell they enjoyed sharing stories about bourbon and life, just as much as we did. We were even lucky enough to see a group doing their barrel pick.
Our previous experience with Heaven Hill was not so great. A year earlier we were there and there was a young male bartender who you could tell didn't want to be there, nor did he want to talk about any of the products. We had also ran into a not so friendly gift shop person so we had been apprehensive to even stop by this year. However, Phillip really made up for it.
I wish I would have gotten a photo with all of us because it was a great memory. Please let him know that Megan and Keith from Wisconsin really appreciated everything. He is an asset to your Heaven Hill family!!

Very nice family owned distillery. Great gift store with good prices! Did the tasting which was very informative, and tasty too! Our guide was great we learned a lot, which will be used for a long time! They have a self guided history type tour too which was nice too! They do have nicer fancier tastings available too,! Lots of great brands are made by then.

You do Bourbon is outstanding!! We got to taste three cask strength bourbons and choose which one we wanted to bottle ourselves and label. It was so much fun and so informative! The gift shop is outstanding and we found JTS Brown Bourbon from the movie The Hustler. So that's a win-win

We visited Heaven Hill for the bottle your own bourbon tour. This included sampling a handful of bourbons straight from the barrel. Our host was wonderful at explaining the nuances of each brand. The gift shop is neat also, along with the small museum. Worth the stop for any bourbon lover.

The bar prices are very expensive. The young lady who guided our tasting spoke like a robot and was very hard to follow. I didn't remember anything she was saying.
The grounds themself are excellent and feel like they are full of rich history. Many excellent bottle of Whiskey come from Heaven Hill. But maybe it's become too large and impersonal and that's effecting the visitor experience.

Loved our tour guide Joanne, she was an awesome fact/storyteller. The tasting experience was a great combination of different recipes and answered our questions thoroughly. Definitely recommend this tasting experience.

Visiting Heaven Hill seemed to give a new definition of a Kentucky Hug. We were warmly greeted and felt very welcome. Allen was wonderful! He was giving information and offering free pours. We were fortunate to try and purchase the Evan Williams 1783 Hero Edition for less than $30. My husband and I participated in the You Do Bourbon experience which allowed us to taste 4 products and then for an additional fee we could bottle our favorite. Herb was fun and entertaining. We chose to bottle an Elijah Craig barrel proof. At the time of our visit, that bottle was $80. The gift shop is very nice offering home decor, clothing, signage, and bourbon novelties. This was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend a visit.

I’m still shocked. I came here 3 days in a row as a loyal fan because they do make amazing products. I learned my first day they did special drops in the morning. The second day I was late. The third day was Presidents’ Day I got up and there at 5am. I was first in line. They had a lot of police doing a convention and I waited in the cold as I spoke to people. The store opens at 9:30 but they let people line up at 9 inside to get the allocated bottles. I was first in line so it was finally happening and worth it. A worker had told me today was Old Fitzgerald which I am really wanting to try. This man said not too longer and we got excited. At 8:45 the same man who had been nice to us all came to the door and said “We aren’t putting anything out today sorry to break it to you all. Over 30 loyal supporters out there waiting in the cold for hours. I was then told the police snagged all the allocated bottles. I’m all about the service workers but why let us stand there just to take it all away like that? Why turn away 39 of your loyal bourbonists who are willing to wait in the cold for a shot at a rare bottle to drink!! To find out they gave them to the police was a bad feeling. Getting rid of my products and supporting other distillers in the area. This was a slap in the face and everything wrong with the scene. Try caring about your loyalists you should be better then that!! Super bummed out!! About to pour these down the drain. Bought 4 bottles day 1.

Bourbon experience brought to you by a Disney style presentation, exiting in the gift shop.
Had a great time, fun video before the tasting and then a nice walk through of their products.
There's a good selection in the gift shop, lots of nice merch and some exclusive or hard to find bottles of whisky.
Upstairs there's another bar, outdoor deck, and at some point in the future a restaurant. Definitely hope to return at some point when the restaurant is open!

My husband and I did the You Do Bourbon Tour. We got to taste 4 bourbons- one that was very unique that you can't buy anywhere. We then had the opportunity to bottle our choice of the 4 (cost of the bottle of bourbon was extra and not included in tour price). The museum was great. The distillery is in the process of building a restaurant on site that will open later this year. They are also going to build a distillery close by and offer tours of this distillery by the end of this year which is exciting.

I can't say enough!! Desarea in the shop is amazing! The bartenders upstairs deserve a promotion and raise!! They are so awesome. I hated to see 5:00 come!! I could have stayed all night. They made a Kentucky Campfire drink I will NEVER forget. Had the toasted marshmallow "old fashion " before but nothing to compare. The whole team's customer service was on point, recommending drinks, to local restaurants. True hospitality. I can't wait to return!!!!

Always visit this place when we come to the area to visit the husband's family. Their clothes are on the expensive side (for me anyway) but from my experience it's worth it because they actually last. I went to all the shops downtown and this is the only one with stuff I'd actually wear.
I was so excited to stumble upon this place while in town from Louisville. Bought 3 gorgeous pieces at truly unbeatable prices!!!!! I will definitely be back!

We discovered this on our walk towards the butcher shop. Going down the hill its on your right just before the skating rink. You don't need to search it out but it is kinda neat if you're in the area. It's very steep and I honestly can't fathom going up and down in a horse & carriage!

Nice and clean but dreadfully over priced. A lot of the in items in here can be purchased new for cheaper. Lower the prices by about 30% and you'll get more traffic. Here an example below. I just bought the exact coffee maker at Walmart on clearance for $29. Mine was blue. Waaay overpriced. By far, the most expensive Peddler's mall I have ever been to and it's just used Junk

I found $810 worth of Victoria Secret Pink clothing for only $111. It was a huge explosion of Pink heaven!
I just wanted everyone to know what they did to us. My daughter canceled her wedding ,so we lost all of our deposit. That was $1000 I just took for doing nothing at all!!! That's a little ridiculously steep,it wasn't like they couldn't rent the place to someone else. I canceled five months in advance.
It's a very pretty place, but there is no heat or air. That something that we didn't know about when we reserved this place. Beware of the time of year you have your wedding . You don't want to have an event in the extreme heat of the summer or the freezing cold winter!!

My husband and I went here for the first time on Wednesday the 8th of Feb and it was such a wonderful visit. The gentleman who owns the store was so welcoming, he was making the country ham balls which looked and smelled so delicious. He was telling us that during the holidays he can't keep them or make enough especially during the weekend. He will go through 300 to 400 on the weekend alone and only 5.99 a piece. We got a package of country ham, a 3 lb. package of fresh home made hot sausage patties. The hams and sorghum looked so good going back in a couple of weeks for more stuff. Go and check them out a great drive and even better store thick sausage patties and rolls.

One can purchase sausage sliders and ham sliders at the front register, but it is highly recommended to pick up a few other things before you check out.
