The Windpoint Lighthouse, constructed in 1880, remains operational on a sandy beachfront of Lake Michigan. It is closed for visitors to climb the tower but open to roam around the property with beautiful scenery facing Lake Michigan. The lighthouse has outside restrooms, gardens and a picturesque beach area for warmer months. The well-maintained small parking space is not crowded and offers a relaxing environment with benches to sit and enjoy the view.
A relative took me to this peaceful lighthouse on a very cold (12 degree) day in February, and I enjoyed it very much! Since it was so cold, most of the time we stayed in the car in the large parking lot right next to Lake Michigan. The snow and ice added to the beautiful scenery. From their website, it looks like they allow people to go inside and climb the tower a few days each year. For warmer months, there are outside restrooms, a beach area, and gardens. Very relaxing place!

Yes, please. After stopping to see the two lighthouses in Racine, this was a very pleasant visit though it was with the last light of the day. Still, the Wind Point LIghthouse was worth the visit.
108 feet tall, it is one of the tallest and oldest lighthouses on the Great Lakes. It remains an active navigational aid though ownership of the property is now held by the Village of Wind Point.
Free to visit the property, plenty of parking, a fantastic view and some true history here.

Located on a small, and picturesque ground, the Windpoint Lighthouse is a beautiful spot for those looking to spend some quiet time away from the hustle.
The lighthouse has a small adjacent building, housing the village hall, and the village police department.
The grounds have well maintained gardens, clean chairs, and a small pathway to walk around the lighthouse.
The place is extremely scenic for those looking for a quiet spot for a photoshoot.
The lighthouse is still functional, and is open for public tours only on select dates, although the grounds are open throughout the year.
There's a small parking spot, but visitors can also park alongside the adjacent golf course. There is also a small restroom, which is clean, and hygienic.

Never ceases to amaze in any season or month. Visited again in August. It holds it's beauty still. Very private beach. Waves crashing on shore, with lighthouse glowing in it's historical glory. One can just sit and watch both for hours. Well maintained garden. Don't forget to check the herb garden with it's fragrant winds

My wife and I absolutely loved visiting this lighthouse and the little museum attached to it. We called in advance which turned out to be a great thing as the visit was able to be aligned with the operators perfectly and in a very short manner. Having an private tour was really fun and informative, the gentleman that gave us the tour was very interesting and informed. It was a very windy day, which seems very appropriate for this kind of visit!

Windpoint lighthouse is a cool place in Racine, Wisconsin to check out! The lighthouse was originally opened in 1880, and is now considered a historic place. There are places to read or have a picnic on the grass nearby the lighthouse, there are a few flower gardens, and there’s a great view of Lake Michigan. The only downside is that it can be a bit busy, depending on when you go (we came on a weekend and it was fairly crowded). Note: if you’re looking to swim in the lake, this is not the place to do it. There are beaches nearby if you’re interested in doing both!

A picturesque spot right on the Lakefront. The Lighthouse is also Police Headquarters. Shady sitting benches, Butterfly Garden and a little beach. Definitely worth stopping and seeing.

Beautiful! Very relaxing too, had a nice hour or so here. Nice beach and views, the sound of the lake, you name it. There's some fun factoids on the signs so take a little stroll around to see it all and there's a rinse station for feet and dog water bowl.

Stunning! Couldn't go inside or climb the lighthouse (first Sun each month in summer), but there is ample history on the placards around the property. Nice section to walk along Lake Michigan as well.

Swung by for a walk and for the kids to dip their toes in the water. Spent about an hour. Very nice, peaceful. Well-kept grounds including a couple of small gardens. Plenty of parking (probably more than need be). Clean single stall restrooms. A nice place to be for a bit.

We had the best time today at the Windpoint Lighthouse. It was so cool to learn about the history of this structure. The land surrounding the lighthouse is also well manicured and beautiful. There are no bad angles for this piece of history. We enjoyed a tour led by the lighthouse keeper, Joseph. We also met his lovely wife, Mary Ann. This is a must see part of Racine. Whether you are a history buff or simply looking for a beautiful view, there’s something here for everyone. Also be sure to stop by the gift shop right near the shore. There are so many cute items to purchase. Cash and card are taken. I really enjoyed the photography prints for purchase in the shop. Overall we loved our visit and I would recommend to anyone. Friendly atmosphere with great people and views!

The light house is closed but allowed to roam the property. Small parking area but not crowded when we passed by. Its beautifully maintained. Scenic too facing Lake Michigan. Its very relaxing sitting along the bench. Worth the drive.

What a beautiful, well maintained lighthouse and park area. Nice historical landmark with a nice drive on the way. It's a shame there's so much plastic on the beach from the lake.
Fun fact: The pool, which is 25 by 125, is the same size as the ‘standard Chicago lot’. So what most families, or multiple families, would purchase in Chicago, this family was swimming in!!
A very interesting house by Frank Lloyd Wright and the stories that are included in the tour are a lot of fun! Definitely recommend that you go! The deal is even sweetened a little more considering it is free!
Try to go to the SC Johnson Tour first if you can.

Ahhh Wingspread… we need to chat a bit. I thought it was a bit odd at first that there were not any reviews from the actual retreat or conference center part and just the tour of Wingspread. Which made it a bit hard to prepare for my trip. Had I known about the menu, I would have brought snacks. Y’all kept this girl hungry! But that’s getting ahead of things now. Upon arriving it’s a bit confusing not knowing that there are actually 3 different buildings (technically 4). Kind of thought it was all 1 the way we were led to believe and how it’s just called “Wingspread”. Coming & going seemed to be frowned upon based on the gate closer and the security guard – who knew!? Although, had I not run out for brunch earlier that day the shuttles wouldn’t have known how to get in later that night when we returned from our tour late that first night. Luckily I remembered the code on the pad and shouted it from the back of the bus for our driver. Our schedule was jam packed and created from our side of things but let’s just say it started early and lasted late around the campfire. Leaving very little time for alone time or exploring, as you kept recommending… Every. Single. Meal. I. had. Was. Ice. Cold. And let me tell you, they weren’t all salads! From the first breakfast of ice-cold bacon and weird churro pancakes to my ice-cold filet mignon. I’m also someone who has to watch how much sugar I eat/have. That being said, almost everything was filled with sugar. Especially the snacks! What I wouldn’t have given for a cheese plate!! My biggest recommendation is to honestly bring snacks. I felt like I was pretty much living on Wine and popcorn. Because the meat was always cold. My favorite food? Probably that the marshmallows were individually packaged and separate from the graham crackers & chocolate. Again, sugar. A floor pantry? Have you ever met a person who needs morning coffee to function, let alone magically go from the walking dead to talking to real, live people?! I’m that person. Everyone was warned for day 2. The walk to the coffee pot was an extreme one, that you filled with many hurdles if you think about a morning routine. Recommendation: Bring a coffee pot & coffee if you want it in your room. Now, don’t get me wrong – your grounds are gorgeous! No doubt about it. I also could never find a trash can to save my life. I was always needing to ask to throw something away. Never knew I had that much trash until I couldn’t find a trash can… The best part and highlight of my week there? The staff! HANDS DOWN!! I had a blast with your staff!! They made the resort feel like home instantly! Casey was the brightest smile, biggest heart, best turkey hunter (we really just ran away screaming), always down for a dance party (glitter shoes and all!), most colorful and I just wanted to scoop him up and bring him home with me! Pauline was our top notch bar tender, hardworking and always down for a laugh! She was honestly there every time I turned a corner. Which, you know perfectly well there are a ton of corners on property. Greg was a delight every encounter and wonderfully attentive. Even Carole was great… chocolate stealer and all. (it’s a joke, she didn’t really steal it.)

Great tour, my sons first FLW house. He enjoyed it (16). Impressive home made for the client unfortunately a sad story the wife it was made for never had the chance to enjoy it. Glad to see it is preserved and has a purpose. Be sure to check out the fine details and unique features that you come to expect from the master.

This free tour was pretty short but worth taking. You’re able to walk around most of the house, which is great, and the architecture is beautiful! I spent about 45 mins there and there is a 20 minute video as well as a 10-15 minute verbal tour.

Spent 4 nights with group of 15 for a conference and we plan to return. Beautiful landscaping and buildings. Lodging rooms were spacious, beds comfortable (but only queen beds!)
Service was inconspicuous yet attentive and warm. We enjoyed the close proximity to grand Lake Michigan, and the equidistance to both coasts make this place an ideal conference center for our far-flung group. Food was fresh and creative and delicious and plentiful. Abundant snacks during breaks - my favorite was caprese skewers with heirloom cherry tomatoes. Interesting to tour the mansion - I chuckled at the tour guide’s mention of a few of Mr. Wright’s less successful ideas, such as a vertical fireplace or a retracting dining table: still there!

Wingspread is a legendary building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for an executive of the SC Johnson Company. Today, the company lovingly makes it available to certain groups as an inspiring and intimate conference center. When coming to Wingspread myself for a meeting of experts at a time when global pandemics were in the rise sine time ago, I know that I was overwhelmed - in every good way - by the beauty inside and out. I won't detail the architect's genius nor details of this architectural breakthrough - since both are detailed at great length elsewhere - other than to say that spending 3 days here in that high level public health working group meeting was especially happy and memorable in this stunning setting.

Saw the signs advertising this location from the highway, so we took the exit on a whim, only to find that the actual location is another twelve miles down the road. When we got there, we were informed via intercom at a locked gate that we could not approach the building, but that we were welcome to reserve a guided tour for forty five minutes in the future. We turned around and left. As we were leaving, there was yet another car pulling up and stopping, presumably having experienced the same nonsensical approach that we did. Maybe this place is an exquisite piece of historic architecture but I would never know, because I couldn't see it, and maybe this place is fantastic if you've planned ahead, but what could possibly be the point of putting signs on the highway if not to attract impulse visitors? Those distant signs should be either revised (Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings This Way: By Reservation Only!), or removed.

POOR PR, NO PROPER SIGNAGE, HORRIBLE PERSON
Riding around with my adult children for my birthday and happened to be near Wingspread I remarked that it was a historical FLW design. As we go by the gates are open so we drive in to enjoy. As we near the building we are being glared at by geriatric Karen who is also trying to approach our moving vehicle. We slowly avoid her and continue to attempt a closer look. She's now waving and shouting so we roll down the window to hear her yelling at us and another couple who made the mistake of getting out of their vehicle. She's hosting a private retreat and we are trespassing. I said sorry and we didn't see any signs saying PRIVATE or NO TRESPASSING- only signs with arrows to direct us to the sights.
She yelled at us saying that she's been waiting for years to get a sign! WTFE GERIKAREN. Go to the hardware store, order them from Amazon- stop yelling at people who drive through the open gate to a landmark.
What horrible community relations!
The Racine Zoo is a 28-acre facility located on Lake Michigan. Despite some closed exhibits and structures in need of repair, the zoo offers a range of opportunities to observe animals up close, with visitors even able to enter certain enclosures. The creek walk and water deer enclosure provide unique experiences akin to mini safaris. The zoo also contributes to conservation efforts and species protection.
Came to the zoo as a photobooth vendor for a wedding. Tents and scene was beautiful! Staff were all super helpful and polite. Excellent experience!
Great job to the bride and groom for planning a superb party and big thanks to the zoo for hosting!
Hopefully I'll be able to make it back for another event or to see some animals.

Such a wonderful time! We had ages 22-65. The chili was hot and delicious. We brought items for a charcuterie board and ended up taking a lot of it home. The drinks were plentiful and included hot chocolate. Roasting smores was fun. I would bring extra marshmallows next time as our group powered through them. It was a very cold and windy day but the 2 space heaters kept us plenty warm. It was a delightful set up and we played the catch phrase game provided which was quite entertaining. The animal encounter was done in the gift shop which was a bit of a surprise but the zoo handler was delightful, very informative, and we loved meeting Harley. The Igloo hosts were very professional and on call for any questions or assistance. Will do again next year.

Winter time zoo visit! It was not at all crowded as can be expected I. The winter months. Many animals were not I. Their exhibits due to the cold. There was a reduced winter rate which made it worth it. $9 for a nice walk around the zoo. Got to see tiger and lions, kangaroos, zebra. Good way to kill an hour or two.

My daughter's 💍 wedding venue was at the Racine Zoo. I joked around and said that the Zoo was the best place for our relatives to get together. The weather was absolutely perfect. The ceremony was a hidden treasure and had a stage, comfy seating, decorations and a walkway that could accommodate my electric wheelchair. The staff was so hands on and anticipated needs. The reception area was in a shelter-like building which could accommodate bad weather. We certainly did not need that. The food was from a local pizza place and the pizzas were made fresh in their ovens right there. What a great idea! I still need to find out where the desert came from as it was excellent. There were snacks, pasta dishes and salads. The DJ was 😎 awesome! We had so much fun! The pastor was from Rise Church in Racine. It was a beautiful ceremony and The fellowship of the church could be felt throughout the whole wedding. What a blessed day. I highly recommend having a wedding at the Racine Zoo!

What a hidden gem! Even with some exhibits closed or "aged out"/some structures needing some TLC, this little zoo has so much to offer! They offer so many opportunities to get closer looks at the animals and you can even enter some enclosures (the small birds and the barnyard). I have never experienced anything like the creek walk or the water deer enclosure and it felt like a mini safari - it was SO cool! They also contribute to conservation and species protection. There were so many more animals than we expected and it's a beautiful location, right on the lake. Would definitely recommend and urge you to support the keepers, the grounds and the animals. We had so much fun!

Very glad we took a trip to Racine Zoo today! We spent about 3 hours and walked about 3 miles during the visit. Decently priced and the kids learned about a few animals. There were MANY exhibits closed which is why I'm giving 4 stars.

A number of the exhibits were closed, which I thought was odd as it is after Memorial Day. I would have thought everything would be open. They do have a pretty good selection of animals considering it is a smaller zoo. Some of the exhibits are only viewable from a very small window and it can be hard to view. They do have a small train you could take if walking is hard. We did eat at the grill and the food was ok. The staff we did interact with were all very friendly.

It was amazing. My husband and I went on our wedding anniversary. It was perfect easy to get around and see everything. The little snack shop was really good. Plenty of bathrooms throughout the zoo. The staff was very friendly. Lots of animals to see. Not too expensive either. I recommend everyone go there at least once. We will be going back for sure.

Jack o lantern of lights was amazing. My 9 yr old did notice that they weren't actually real pumpkins (maybe some of them were?), so that dulled the experience a tad for her. Overall, it was phenomenal to me! Price was just right

We had a fantastic time in the winter snow globe! The food was excellent and there was plenty for eight people. We played games and listened to Christmas music with the blue tooth speaker provided. I hadn't been there since I was a kid well over 40 years ago. I was very nice to return. It is very well upkept, the animals all look healthy and their environment is clean and maintained.
They have started charging and I was more than fine with paying $22 for 2 adults. It is not a large Zoo, but I really enjoyed it and photographing the animals. I will go again for sure.

This is a nice little zoo! Handicap accessible in all aspects. Lots of fun things to do! You can feed giraffes and small parakeets. If you want to feed the giraffes, you need to pay at the window when you buy admission into the zoo. Giraffe feeding is at 11 am! There are 2 concession stands to get snacks and drinks. Great view of Lake Michigan at the back of the zoo!

Nice zoo with a number of the Big 5 animals like a rhino, lions, a zebra, a bear, etc. Even if you visit late afternoon, when the animals hide more, it's still worth a visit. Lots of green area, and there's a train tram around the park for $3 per person. The animals also have the option to have quiet in buildings if there are too many visitors.
Nice location on the lake, but tends to be a bit winder and cooler.
There are several interactive exhibits for kids, like a goat and sheep area where kids can brush the animals and a parakeet cage that you can enter and feed them. Visitors can also walk around kangaroo and emu area (no cages). There's also a large playground with slides and a climbing structure.
Bringing your own snacks is ok!

This is a smaller zoo, but it is well worth the time to visit.
I saw nearly as many animals up close here as I have at some larger zoos.
Plus, this zoo is designed for children with a multitude of playground areas and many benches to rest while family members ride the Zoo Choo train.
Come have some fun.

This was the most amazing experience for my family !!! My family received this experience as a Christmas gift so we didn’t exactly know what to expect. When we got there, we were greeted by the owner and his assistant in the warmest way. They walked through the process, giving us an example and then worked with us one on one to create our own piece of art. I was under the impression that we wouldn’t be able to do much of the process, but this was absolutely the opposite, we were able to do every step of the process with the guidance of the teacher. We also were able to do some shopping to buy beautiful one of a kind art pieces .. I cannot recommend this experience enough! And think everybody should take at least one class, and you will be hooked and wanting to take more!

Where do I start? My experience with Hot Glass Shop has been nothing short of amazing! I had two Memorial Globes made in honor of my late father. Originally thought it would take a month for these pieces to come back but Dan had them finished in time for my moms birthday on March 11. What a surprise! She was speechless at how perfect both pieces turned out! Dan was so wonderful to work with and the pieces he made us are truly perfection! Wonderful walking trails through different Wisconsin woodlands. Full of nature! The Cub scouts were able to see a huge deer, wild turkeys, bullfrogs, woodpeckers and other smaller animals, on a single 1 hour hike. Plus the nature center has a welcoming, hands-on approach. The Pavilion is huge for meeting and presenting. Or multiple fire pits with plenty of wood already chopped for smaller gatherings. All in all a wonderful nature center.

What an amazing hidden gem, and this place is way bigger than I thought it would be. I got lost three times, it was delightful. Wildlife were elusive and I had a couple animals play tag with me, daring me to try to get a shot, sadly they won so I have no pictures of them.
I changed my rating system so please note that I would be giving this place 4.5 if I could. Anything three stars and up is very good.
This place relies on donations, membership fees, and gift shop purchases so if you come visit please consider one or all of those.
I have included some shots of a story book driven trail, it looks like it was written by the founder maybe, it was very cute but I came from the opposite way.

A beautiful little nature walk tucked away in a quiet spot. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and only saw a couple of other groups out exploring. There was one big meadow full of wildflowers with a flattened walkway around the perimeter, and several posted trails through woodlands with distances indicated at the start. Some of them seemed to overlap and gave options for other trails further into the wooded areas. We stumbled upon the canoe/kayak launch and there appeared to be many boats in good condition ready for rental. Some trails were boardwalks and some were woodchip on the forest floor. The info center has a cute souvenir shop, information for events, and a restroom. We also happened to be there while a birthday party was being held in the event space, but we didn't hear any noise from it during our visit.
Admission is free but there is the option to leave a donation :)

We rented the main lodge for a winter birthday party and it was great. There was enough space to accommodate everyone and there were no restrictions on catering so we ordered a local caterer. The people who facilitated our rental were very professional and prompt and they made sure we utilized everything we could during our time. We had a woodland theme for the birthday so it for great. In the main entrance in the foyer there was a great learning area for kids full of things that they could touch and play with - thinks rocks “bones” etc with information and fun facts about what they have their hands on. This would’ve been a perfect review but we had issues with the lack of snow removal/salt on the walkway and in the parking lot. I figured it would’ve been taken care of before the event seen as we booked the venue ahead of time so they were expecting people to park and walk into the main lodge.

We talked about 5 months ago to throw a Cinco de Mayo event in our backyard. When it grew to 30 people, we needed a back up. My lady pulled a real rabbit out of her purse.
We rented a cabin and this was ideal idea. If you love the outdoor surroundings, this is the place. Instant start fireplace, beautiful deck out back, everything you can possibly need for a event. Space for the band and to dance. (Yes...old people do love to still dance)

I love it here! It is a nice, quiet place to just walk around. The scenery is beautiful, no matter what activity you decide to take part in. Depending on the season and the time of day you go, they offer trails for walking, hiking, running and even skiing. They also have conoes available that people can rent to paddle around on the river. River Bend also collects and cooks their own fresh maple syrup. They have activities available during this time that will teach kids the entire syrup making process. It starts with the picking, drilling and tapping of a maple tree and goes right through to the boiling down and serving of the fresh made maple syrup. In the months it takes to process all of the sap they offer pancake breakfasts on certain weekend days. That way the public can come in and taste fresh syrup. They have wood carving classes for kids ages 10 and up. During spring and summer breaks River Bend also offers camps for kids. I'm sure that I'm unintentionally leaving activities out, but I'm truly grateful that River Bend is here. We need to keep it alive and beautiful for several different generations to come.

Just stopped in Racine to have lunch with someone and realized I hadn't been to the Racine Art Museum.
What a treat, I happened to visit on a great day. The second floor renovation was done and the current fabrics exhibit up there by Randall Darwall was fabulous.
There was also beautiful jewelry and a ceramics exhibit along with a few other items.
The space the museum occupies is 100% part of the experience. The building really lends itself to the art and helps provide exactly the right mood, tone and setting to enjoy whatever you are viewing.
The gift shop for any art museum fan is like the cherry on top. I know while I'm strolling through enjoying all a museum has to offer in the back of my mind I'm wondering what the gift shop may have. The gift shop at RAM does not disappoint. They have an exquisite display which was carefully thought out and many items to choose from.
Racine is not too far from where I live and a bonus to traveling there, you can hit up O & H Bakery on your way home for some kringle. That's a different review though 😁
If you haven't been to RAM and have put it off, delay no longer. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. The price is right and you can take anyone, it's just the right size a museum. It's not too big and not too small.
Depending on your interest in the current exhibit you could walk through in an hour or hour and a half. They have elevators for anyone who can't stairs climb and restrooms and plenty of chairs for those who may need to rest a minute.

A lovely museum in downtown racine. They have events and kind staff in the front. There are two floors and good artwork. Lots of jewelry and fun special exhibits like a peeps exhibit. 4 stars because it could be larger.

It was Free on First Fridays. Really enjoyed the art work. My favorite was the art with the low torch and paper. He also did amazing with blow torch and clay. Learned they change the art every few months. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

A critical art museum, meeting place and cultural experience in downtown Racine. Today was part of an artist tour and conversation with an extremely diverse group of my local area citizens that was wonderful and amazing. The staff and curator are warm, super smart and perfect welcoming hosts. Go here!

Smaller art museum with well curated and varied modern works. A perfect place to get inspired. The gift shop is fabulous and don't miss the awesome art sale!

Request a free pass from the library with valid library card! Good for up to one week (one time use) and admits two adults and children. Small museum but can easily spend an hour or so viewing the works, including rotating exhibits such as the popular Peeps show each spring.

Go to the peep show!!! Also new glass artwork is a nice way to spend a few hours.

The best fine craft museum in the midwest. Yes, I guess I'm bragging. I've been a RAM member for a number of years. I enjoyed their fine polymer show several years ago. They always have interesting multiple exhibits. And now free first Fridays usually with activitiesfor the kids. AND, don't miss the spring PEEPS art show. It's wonderful to see what artists, kids, and groups come up with using many colors of the marshmallow Peeps. Anyone can enter, but limited engagement due to their limited shelf life especially if painted. Lol.
Jan.6 update. Took daughter to lunch and her first visit to RAM. Saw amazing weaver exhibit, glass collaboration, astrology related exhibit, and jewelry exhibit. Got in free during a family make & take time. The museum is just large enough to host several exhibits, but not so large that it takes up a whole day. Red Onion is a great cafe 1 block away.
It was a very humid and misty rainy day but still very nice.

Communication is lacking around this marina. I'll take into account the marina staff are young; however, I feel the office staff should be better equipped to field questions. She failed to respond to our voicemail, seemed a bit annoyed with our questions when we did get her on the phone, gave us information that contradicted what we were told by our Airbnb (boat) host, and wasn't certain of the restaurant hours. In regards to the Airbnb, the marina should be responsible for making sure everyone who rents from them is given accurate and current information that coincides with the information the office has. Typically, I would gather the majority of my information from the website, but that wasn't much help either. The restaurant page comes up as a 404, the pool hours are not listed, and the pool opening dates are nonspecific (unless you do advanced research). These are basic questions of hours of operation and start dates. I don't understand the disconnect. I am willing to adjust my rating if we ever visit, but due to the uncertainty in the answers given, we have decided to cancel our trip.

I had the amazing opportunity to set up for beautiful Bridal shower on the upper deck and My goodness was it a breathtaking view. The space was extremely clean. The bypasses were extraordinary friendly and the setup turned out absolutely amazing. I'm honored for the opportunity and if I could, I would give the venue 100 stars 🌟

Beautiful marina, well kept, close access to town. Young person handling lines needs some training, both in the lines issue and in how to speak to customers, but he'll get there

The view is great and food still tends to be good! But I really thought the bing, bing of the gambling machines took away from the atmosphere! This is a nice restaurant and doesn't need the negative distraction. It seems to cheapen the place.
The Racine Heritage Museum is a captivating institution that was formerly a Carnegie library. It presents an array of historical exhibitions and educational programs, covering the local history of Racine. The museum offers free admission with donations suggested, and it has interactive exhibits such as the Underground Railroad "game" that are suitable for children. Moreover, visitors can explore the diverse range of artifacts including a mummy on display in this fascinating attraction.
Free museum (donations suggested) with interesting Racine history. Kids enjoyed the interactive Underground Railroad "game"

The Racine Theatre Guild is an impressive venue that deserves recognition for its production of various shows, such as RENT and The Little Mermaid. The performers showcased exceptional talent, leaving the audience in awe. The theater itself has a unique layout, with a semi-circular design surrounding the stage. Future productions like Sweeney Todd are eagerly anticipated, as the cast's outstanding performances and visually stunning sets and costumes never disappoint. Overall, the Racine Theatre Guild offers an incredible experience for all who attend.
I was invited today to see this show by my son. I had never heard of Star Girl, and honestly, I didn't have much for expectations. Let me tell you, this cast was great. This director, Natham Stamper, is one of a kind. He connects with these young people and creates with them a great experience for the audiences. I came in with no expectations, and I left looking forward to seeing another production directed by Mr. Nathan Stamper. Good job cast, crew, and director.

Located within a mile of Matt's, this farm has garnered a reputation for offering the finest corn at affordable prices. The word about their exceptional produce has quickly spread among locals, who have also discovered their reasonably priced pumpkins and corn stalks. In addition to the delicious corn, customers can expect to find a variety of plants and vegetables when they are in season. Known for their friendly service, this farm is highly regarded as the go-to place for top-quality produce within a 50-mile radius.
I love Matt's Produce. Corn is always picked fresh every day. There is no farm that sells corn that taste as good as Matt's. The tomatoes are so delicious they can not be beat. Best produce in the county and surrounding areas. I only go here when the season comes around with the freshest produce you can get.

Found this entirely by accident since the corn stand on 6 Mile shut down for the season over a week ago.
Now I am not a cornoligist but I am a serious admirer of great tasting corn.
Their was another guy the same day I purchased 2 doz. Ears and he was bragging this corn up.
He was 100% correct. Very serious ears.

This a place not only to get great tasting corner and reasonable price but also plants and other vegetables when ready. Great and friendly people to deal with. Because of their prices things go fast so give then a try if you get a chance.

Hands-down the best corn I have ever had. Produce is so, so fresh, and you can 💯 tell that it’s high-quality. Delicious like it’s straight from the garden, not dull like grocery store vegetables.

We had the most beautiful wedding at the Masonic Center! We booked it for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception without a single hiccup throughout the entire day. Wendy, the director for events, was so helpful and made everything so easy while planning. The reception hall is beautiful, the guests loved seeing the mansion during cocktail hour, and the ceremony hall was perfect. We are so grateful that I chose the Masonic Center for our big day!

Root River Environmental Education Community Center
The Root River Environmental Education Community Center is an affordable facility that offers various outdoor activities such as kayaking and canoeing. On Sundays, there is often a half-off discount available. It provides an opportunity to observe diverse wildlife including minks, beavers, herons, and salmon during the fall season. The center is highly valued by the community as it also serves as a resource for UWP's biological sciences programs, contributing to local education.
Rented a tandem kayak, single kayak, and a canoe to paddle up the Root River. Staff nice and helpful, prices very reasonable and they offer 50% off days during the season. Easy paddle, very enjoyable. Saw salmon jumping out of the water, multiple duck species, and great blue herons. We will be back!

Affordable. Sundays are often half off too! I often see lots of different wildlife from minks beavers herons salmon in the early fall etc! Really lovely to have this in our community. Durning the school year this facility is used by UWP in their various biological sciences programs so when you use the REC to kayak or canoe you're supporting local education.

Went to rent a kayak on Saturday, September 5th. Called ahead to check hours the day before, confirming hours for Saturday’s and Sundays 10AM-4PM. We pulled up, walked to the boat launch and it was empty. We walked back up to the parking lot and there was a laminated sheet of paper with a note stating “Closed See you in 2021!”
The official sign on the door said June through September Sat&Sun 10AM-4PM. Nothing about closing as of September 5th. Left an unhappy voicemail but obviously there’s nothing that can be done. At least update your real sign and voicemail.
We weren’t the only ones to pull up and leave disappointed either.
Island Park is great!
Bike trails, boat launches, ball fields, fishing spots, picnic shelters, and all pretty secluded from any major traffic. Plus the water is never that deep, so I don't have to worry as much about my son who can't swim.
It's super accessible, and you really get to meet a broad swath of people here. It's what I wish every park was like!
We go here all the time, and it's a great place in all seasons.

Perfect place for family fun depending when you go. They have a dog park or pet park. A nature walk trail and the river so if u want you can fish. Also a real park for the kids whit restroom’s. Almost perfect it just depends when you go. Some times theirs just some really non traditional kids their that like to start trouble. And some getto adults that are smoking on the devils lettuce lol. Just pick the timing right. Mostly when I go it’s between noon and 3ish in the afternoon and morning time.

Please Stay out of Island after 7pm.. the shootings this summer have been non stop. Normally they don't mess with people fishing but I don't think it's a safe Idea to go after dark. However, during the day it's a nice park with a lot of cool nature to see from the river to the wildlife in the small wooded Areas around the baseball diamond. Also as long as the temperature is decent and water is high Island can have some really good fishing.

Nice little park, very quiet. Not much to do, there's a swing set, a slide and small jungle gym and some sand. Parking is a pain, and the city doesn't really take care of it. But it's great to go on walks through. The river is on both sides of the park, and is absolutely beautiful during the spring, summer and fall.

The Racine Symphony Orchestra Association provided a delightful and memorable experience for its audience. The talented guest musicians, including a violinist and guitarist, showcased their skills with impressive performances. The well-arranged venue created an inviting atmosphere that made attendees feel welcome. This exceptional evening of music revealed genres that may not typically be explored, leaving a lasting impression on the listeners. The Racine Symphony Orchestra Association deserves appreciation for their commitment to delivering outstanding symphony performances.
This was my first ever time seeing the Racine Symphony Orchestra and I will say it was very amazing. The guest Violinist and Guitarist did an amazing job playing their songs they selected to play. The venue was very well set up and made you feel welcome to attend the performance. I will definitely attend a symphony performance again. Thank You Racine Symphony Orchestra for an amazing evening listening to music I wouldn't normally listen to it was a pleasure!!!

6/25/21 performance: Fountain Hall is a poor place for an orchestra. The acoustics are terrible and the lighting just as bad. We could barely see the members playing...including the special guests.
There was nothing "premium" about premium seating. It was just an additional overcharge to make money.
$9 for a glass of wine? Come on.
Don't get me wrong. We love live performances, but we could have done just as well hearing it on the radio.

I recently visited this garden center and purchased a very cute flower pen that they sold by the registers. Unfortunately when I went to use it didn't work 😕 so when I went to return a week later they were not so nice and a bit rude. The young lady at the checkout mentioned she would have to get the manager to see if they could possibly make an exception for my return but then the manager came she said absolutely not.

We each called a separate time to see if system was working: it wasn't. December.... was told I could not use the funds unless I used the entire amount of the reward money. March... since deadline to use was extended to 3.31.2024 because of system failure...now they are telling us we have no reward money in our account.
