Kashihara-Jingu, a Shinto shrine and historical site from the late 19th century, is a stunning tribute to Japan's first emperor. The site boasts beautiful landscapes and an atmosphere of peacefulness that can be enjoyed by visitors today. While there are options for transportation such as buses, it's worth driving out to see this tranquil destination. Don't miss the chance to visit Kashihara-Jingu if you're in the area.
Beautiful and peaceful.
Just visiting on my way to Nara (exhange train in this station) and was surprised bow peaceful and solemn this shrine is. Get my first goshuin here!
When I came here it they also have ShichiGoSan so there’s tiny ladies wearing beautiful kimono all around. Sooo adorable!

This is a representative shrine in Nara. It is close to Kashihara Jingu Station on the Kintetsu Minami-Osaka Line and within walking distance. Surrounded by a park, it is rich in nature and ideal for strolling and jogging. Temples and shrines in Kyoto are nice, but shrines in Nara are also very good for sightseeing.

The two grand torii in front of Kashiharajan Shrine are grand, and the wood is preserved in its primary color, which is more interesting than if it were painted with vermilion! Founded in the year of Meiji 23 (1890), Kashiharajan Shrine has been enlarged several times and currently covers an area of 500,000 square meters. Located east of Mount Kashiharaju city, Nara Kashiharaju City, this site is believed to be the location of Mashiki Kashiharu Palace, the palace of Japan's first Emperor Hirohito (on throne: 660-585 BC).
After walking through the way, I saw the bride and bridegroom who came to the shrine to do the wedding ceremony. Japanese dress, really have a different flavor.
One of the main temples of Kashiharaju Kashiharaju, is a shift from The Suhasu (Suharu Uchiji) in Kyoto. Both sides of the long column corridor and row of lanterns had a very serious imposing manner. The cutting hand of Japan's 2,600th anniversary stamps is the inaki Kaharu Shrine
Kashiharajan Shrine is a wide area, with a wide forest beyond the back door. In the outer court, the remains of pillars of yayoi period have been excavated, and the measurement results of C-14 have an error of 2600 years plus or minus 200 years, which is exactly consistent with the era of Emperor Jimwu.

I visited in the morning around 7:30am. There were some waking people on the way from yagi station beside kashihara jingu area. Big area with wild and sacred bush. I could not visit all area but I think you should definitely visit.
The Unebi Imperial Mausoleum of Emperor Jimmu is a remarkable and peaceful sacred space. It can be accessed by a wide road with large bent ball gravel and tree protection, providing a spacious feel that exudes divinity. The lack of adornments only adds to the impressiveness of the scale from Hyuga to Kashihara. Its natural beauty and godliness are evident without any need for artificial enhancements.

It appears when you walk on a wide road as if it is covered with large bent ball gravel and protected by trees. The spacious and completely arranged space feels divine.
It is even more wonderful considering the scale from the country of Hyuga to the land of Kashihara, but it is unnecessary to say that it is a kindness or a natural body that is never dressed up to feel this godliness and splendor. The lack of things may also impress you.

The streets are lined with numerous establishments, each radiating their unique character, making it an excellent spot to experience local culture and traditions. I loved this place, Its huge!! Its is very popular, alot of good stores and famous stores like Starbucks, Gap, H&L, Uniqlo and more. It's got everything a big book store, movie theater, game center, and a big food court, and then looks like a nicer smaller food court the flow above that (third floor), even a super market! The bathrooms are nice (men's atleast) and there are many resting spots. If you just want to go shopping for a day, you will have plenty of material to look at while you are. I spent here a full 12 hours to look at most of the stores, not womans stores, and other stores. I also watched 2 movies, so you will definitely not get bored and can make a day out of this. (;

Aeon Mall Kashihara provides an extensive selection of shopping opportunities, encompassing a variety of stores specifically catering to footwear and clothing enthusiasts. As visitors explore the mall, they can discover diverse options for acquiring stylish apparel and trendy footwear. Moreover, the mall boasts several food courts situated on different floors, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
However, it's crucial to highlight a notable aspect concerning dining preferences. Despite the numerous culinary choices available, including various cuisines and flavors within the food courts, it is regrettable that Aeon Mall Kashihara currently lacks halal food options. This absence might be a consideration for individuals adhering to halal dietary restrictions, prompting them to explore alternative dining venues within the mall premises.

My stay here was not good. The original room I had was near the elevator, and there was a constant low vibration noise that kept me up at night.
I called the staff saying The noise disturbs my sleep so I need the room to be changed. The staff goes, the hotel is fully booked today, so we’re sorry but there’s nothing we can do.
He apologized over and over again but what does that do if they were not trying to solve the problem? This attitude of not trying to solve the problem really reveals the quality of the service, and the hotel.
Also, a hotel in Kashihara-Nara is fully booked on a normal weekday night? I didn’t see anyone on my floor during my stay.
So I had to think of ways to solve this problem and called the staff again and asked them to come check out the noise and see if everything is ok.
Another staff came to my room and just stood in the room for a while, and said “I don’t know what it is.” Didn’t try to check the AC, ventilation system or anything.
Then I receive a call from yet another staff, saying there’s a room actually available, but not sold for the night because the TV doesn’t work. Whether that’s true or not, I packed up my stuff again around midnight and was able to move to a different room.
This whole thing really stressed me out especially bc it was late at night, also different staff members saying different things and took so much time to figure it out.
Also, from how the first staff responded to the situation, I can see that they don’t try to solve the problem unless the customer really tries to ask for help.
Didn’t meet my expectations.

On our way from Nara to Osaka, my wife chose to spend a night here on March 31, 2018 but we only checked in after midnight. The hotel’s reception is on 9/F and we parked our rental car at a multistory car park just opposite to for 1330 yen per 24 hours. Athough it was the first time we had to ask for towels for two persons, the hotel decor and its public bath facilities make a difference to our pleasant surprise!

Travelled 6 hrs and booked in this hotel to be told when I arrived here that tattoos are not allowed in their hotel onsen! I said it didn’t say anything in your policies about this online!!! Asked for a discount they said no, asked for free breakfast they said no! They said I could cancel but there was no accommodation around this area available…..terrible. I said they should maybe indicate that on their website.

Very nice hotel close to things you may need to walk to like stores or restaurants. The hotel is very new and has modern touches. Staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions. The included breakfast buffet was great as well. The only downside for me was that the mattress and pillows were very firm and they did not have any softer mattress toppers.
Yamato Sanzan is a group of three mountain peaks located in Japan. These forested mountains were once home to an ancient palace city and are celebrated in poetry. Each mountain has an isosceles triangle shape that perfectly fits with the others, giving the area a unique and picturesque appearance. Visitors should plan accordingly as the location is quite remote, with no car parking available. However, climbing these mountains can be easily accomplished by those who are physically able.

As it is an Inari shrine, the deities enshrined are Uka no Mitama-kami, Omiya Nouri-okami, and Toyouke-okami, and it has a wide range of faiths, including prosperous business and abundant harvests.
The approach path, lined with vermilion torii gates, passes through the Chinju-no-mori forest, so it's quiet and secluded, and the changing air currents calm your mind. The main shrine and the worship hall that surrounds it are both vermilion and neatly arranged.

On May 20th, a visit was made to the rose garden at Kashihara Sports Park. Unfortunately, half of the buds and dying roses appeared neglected, with no fully bloomed roses in sight. However, each rose was labeled with a name tag, enhancing the educational experience. The park boasts more knee-high self-supporting roses than vine roses, making it accessible for children to observe and capture pictures. Conveniently located nearby are clean toilets allowing for unrestricted playtime.

One of the 75 special historic sites in all of country. Believed to be the tomb of Soga no Umago, a politician that made reforms and promoted Buddhism under Prince Shitoku, who passed June 19th, 626.
Very important and extremely historical in this very historical town, but it costs ¥200 and can be appreciated by the most patient person for at most ten minutes. But, to think of the work that was necessary to bring 6o ton and 77 ton boulders 3 km is mind boggling.

Guest House Hajimari is an informal accommodation option that boasts of relaxed private rooms and simple dorms. It offers a shared kitchen and TV lounge for the guests' convenience. The guesthouse has recently opened, ensuring brand new amenities, which are kept clean at all times. Guests can experience traditional Japanese tatami rooms with comfortable futons and pillows, making their stay extremely comfortable. Additionally, the owner is friendly and offers great advice on activities in the area, including cheap bath tickets.
The room and futons are comfortable for 4 people, the heater is working perfectly well.
The host is very friendly and caters to any enquiries that we have!
He explained what is needed to be done while we are staying over, providing details on how to lay the futon and touring us around the area.
The food recommendations that he gave are great!
He is very efficient and even has brochures at hand and inform us about autumn viewing at the places we are going.
It is around 10 min walk from the station.
Thank you!

There have already been many Japanese reviews here, so for those who only understand English:
This is a very lovely guesthouse close to one of the ancient cities of pre-modern JapanーAsuka.
The guest house meets all the basic requirements: its clean, at a good location, with free laundry options for those staying longer than one night, and could provides its non-Japanese guests with some good Japanese housing experiences(Although l must admit Japanese rooms are quite poor at sound isolation).
I especially like the point that the owner rented us bikes at a very cheap price. We also got reduction coupons for one of the day spas around here (Asuka no Yu) and spent a good couple of hours in the hotspring.
The owner himself seems to be very into travel and you could definitely ask him for recommendations about sightseeing spots around the area.
