The Chapel of the Transfiguration is a small log chapel in Moose that was built in 1925 and has an amazing view of the Teton Range from its altar window. The chapel is a perfect place to take pictures of the mountains from inside, and it's worth stopping by if you're ever in the area.
Lovely location. Nothing behind it except for the mountains.
Plenty of parking, inside is small but there is outside seating with windows on the inside that open. I noticed awning for the outside seating I'm guessing in case it's either too hot or raining.

Built in 1925, this little church is full of history. They still have Sunday services. I love the view. Very easy drive from Jackson, and would recommend this to all. Parking is easy for vans , cars, even rvs. I don't believe there is a restroom there though.

Historic chapel that felt like entering a time machine. There’s a bell you can ring and you can really feel how important a place like this must have been to the local community.

The Chapel of The Transfiguration is a beautiful log chapel near Moose, within Grand Teton National Park. It was built in 1925 so settlers wouldn’t have to travel all the way into Jackson for church services. With no cars or bridges, and terrible roads, that would have been a harrowing endeavor. Instead of a stained glass window behind the altar, a large window frames magnificent Grand Teton. The chapel is open for prayer and quiet reflection.

Beautiful part of GTNP! So peaceful and serene!

Another picturesque spot! Boy if this was your view from church all the time, then they would have a full house every Sunday. Thankfully, we were there in between tour buses as it is a popular spot for guided tours. The pictures really do not do it justice as to the massive Tetons in the background. Amazing!

This is a beautiful little church. The building itself is quite simple inside and out, but God provides His own glory. The picture window at the front of the sanctuary brings the glory of the Tetons right into the room.
We were not there when a public worship service was happening so I cannot comment on that or one the theology of this church.

A great stop at the entrance of Grand Teton park. The scenery in winter was beautiful and the path despite being under deep snow, was fun and interesting. The view is excellent on the mountain peaks.

It’s a tiny chapel but very lovely. It has a very good view of Mount Teton peak. This place seems popular because you can see those tourist buses come one by one.

Very cool experience to walk inside this old church with a beautiful, stunning view of the Grand Tetons.

A historic 1925 Episcopal Church. The land donated by Maude Nobles who lived close by and owned Menors Ferry. They still have worship services on Sunday in the summer. Beautiful view of the mountain.
The Glacier View Turnout offers a great view of the remains of Middle, Teepee, and Teton Glaciers formed during the Little Ice Age. The scenery changes quickly with bright sunshine followed by overcast conditions.
Teton Range In California Wildfire Smoke At Sunset

Amazing view of the Tetons that were shrouded in smoke from California for over 3 weeks. Details of the mountain are not ideal from this distance through the smoke though it provided a great scene to relax to.

Glacier View Turnout view was amazing!
It’s in the outer road of the national park, which makes it free. A long the round there more turn points with more views of the glacier.
I personally recommend paying the $35 and seeing the closer, it’s a breathing taking view!
Stop by the visitor center before going. Lots of cool stuff to see there plus restrooms break if needed.
If you travel throughout the year I recommend getting the $80 year pass for all US national parks. It’s worth it if you’re gonna go to a lot of them.

In our opinion, there is not a better straight on view of the Tetons in Jackson Hole than Glacier View Turnout. There's usually ample parking, and plenty of space event when it's a little crowded. One of the few spots that's also easily accessible in the winter. It's great for intimate elopements, engagements, or if you're just needing to stop off before you leave town and get one more shot of the beautiful mountains.

Plenty of parking available and only a short walk to get to the viewing area. There is also a bit of a plaque labelling the different peaks.

If it's a clear day, stop here and enjoy one of the best views of the Grand Tetons. The spring and summer views are great. The winter views are even better.

The Teton glacier is amazing but it is shrieking. Good stop to watch before it disappears. Come early morning when the sun shines on it.

From this viewpoint, there is a usually great view of the Teton Range unobstructed by anything except clouds. It's a big view over the Snake River Valley of glaciers on the highest peaks. Lower down, nearer the river is a mixed forest belt sheltering the river and providing cover for the occasional grazing moose or elk. Closer to the highway are sagebrush flats, as cover for smaller animals. We visited over two days as the first day, the view had a partial cloud bank sitting in front the mountains. It was still very impressive.

This is a must see stop!!! Seriously could not get over the beauty and majesty of the Grand Tetons. This pull off has the best view of the mountains as well as since history to learn more. It had plenty of parking sp you'll definitely be able to find a spot to take a few moments to check it out. The drive is pretty spectacular there as well. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you're in the area.

Unfortunately it was pretty overcast when we got there but there's lots of informational signs to explain the surrounding area. All in all even in not so great weather it's worth stopping and stretching your legs at.

Absolutely breath taking no doubt one of the greatest areas in the United States, if you have time please go and enjoy these beautiful wonders.
If you're looking for a stunning Grand Teton National Park sunrise location, be sure to check out Blacktail Ponds Overlook. It's just north of Moose Junction on Route 26/89/191 and is perfect for capturing the first rays of sun as they light up the peaks in the park.
From the overlook view was very nice but it was far better when took short walk closer to the pond. Was able to capture picture of mountain abd reflection in the water, amazing experience.

Beautiful flowers on this easy hike. We didn’t see any wildlife here but it’s one of the spots where you can expect some. Not too many people go there so expect some peace and quiet. Lot of parking available so don’t worry about it. No restrooms here.

Just 50 yards or so off the main road so it’s a super easy stop to look for moose or catch a sunrise. On this stop, we saw no moose but a few elk wandered by and a juvenile bald eagle was roosting in a tree.

Just a beautiful area to pull over, relax, and enjoy the scenery and occasional wildlife! Tip... get there early on the morning for best chance at wildlife!!!
Robert Kramer — Google review
actually one of the quieter more beautiful overlooks along the way. Not only do you see the mountains, but you see the creek and river down below where you can often spot a moose or other wild animal. Take the opportunity to get down and smell the sagebrush or take the short drive to the TA molten barn

Beautiful area for all sorts of wildlife and beautiful scenery and a great trail to a fishing area !!

Beautiful view of the Tetons. This is a small meadow with a calm stream running through it. There were two moose playing in the water and running around when I got there. They ran off into the trees before I could get any good shots of them. There's trails to hike down and get next to the stream. This place is a must-see for visitors to the Tetons.

Lots of parking. Overlooks the Snake and looks like a great place to view some wildlife. If I were a moose I'd hang out there!

Dornan's Scenic River Trips offers a memorable experience for nature enthusiasts. Skilled and experienced guides like Michael and Jordan provide informative tours, pointing out wildlife such as elk, moose, eagles, and various bird species. They also share local history and ensure that each participant finds something of interest during the trip. The scenic views and relaxed atmosphere make it a great choice for anyone looking to explore the area's natural beauty.
September raft trip with Jordan was fun and informational. Mid day, so most wildlife was birds: eagles, unusual ducks, geese, etc. Loved the history of the area, as well as the relaxed ride and scenic views.

My friends and I did a float trip on Wednesday June 15th and we absolutely loved it. The 13 mile stretch of the river we were on was gorgeous with incredible mountain views and no other people on the river. Kylie was our guide and she is a naturalist who was both knowledgable and engaging. I didn't expect anything beyond having a few landmarks pointed out, but we ended up learning a lot about the area, its history, and the plants and wildlife. Also on our trip was Kylie's supervisor Scott who was also very knowledgable and personable and also great at pointing out and describing the birds and wildlife which was so much more interesting than I could have imagined.
The float trip was relaxing without ever being boring, the boat was comfortable, and the guides made us feel safe without making us feel complacent about the possible dangers.
We got lucky with the weather until the end, but once the rain started they had ponchos for us and it was no problem.
We spent a week in Jackson with time spent hiking in Grand Teton and exploring Yellowstone, but the float trip was probably the most fun, interesting and memorable thing we did. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I booked a scenic float trip 1month in advance and received a confirmation e mail. Dornan’s canceled the float at 5:19pm via e mail the night before an 11:30 am float because the didn’t have enough people book. I wouldn’t count on them to get you on the river.

Took the 4pm rafting trip on Thursday. Thanks to the observant eye of our skilled, experienced guide, Michael, we saw elk, a mother moose and her calf, eagles (bald and golden) and learned quite a bit of the local history from why some mountain passes got their names and how to correctly pronounce local names (gros ventre). Michael also made sure to find something of interest to each person along on the trip, from the youngest to teens to the adults. Great trip in an awesome location. Will be taking this trip again my next trip out!

We did a scenic float in mid-June and it was the highlight of our vacation. We saw deer, eagles, a bear, a moose, and beautiful scenery. We had a great guide (Will) that was fun, knowledgable, and friendly. Would totally recommend and we will definitly do again if we are back in the area.

My wife bought me a pair of sunglasses here that I wanted to exchange for a different pair. The store refused to exchange them because we couldn't find the receipt. I understand them refusing of I'd asked for a refund, but I just wanted an exchange and came back only one day after the purchase. Poor customer service and the clerk had a smart look on his face and said "I'm sure you understand. ". Actually, I don't understand at all. Buyer beware.
